- 0:08Speaker 1: Fourteen. What an amazing number. The atomic weight of silicon,
- 0:12Speaker 1: as we all know, is fourteen. There are fourteen stars
- 0:15Speaker 1: on the flag of men now and fittingly, Shakespeare's Sonnets
- 0:18Speaker 1: all had fourteen lines. We've had fourteen magnificent weeks of
- 0:24Speaker 1: super netball and you're on No drivele strap In. Hello,
- 0:39Speaker 1: and welcome to the podcast where we talk about the
- 0:42Speaker 1: atomic weight of silicon and we talk about netball, and
- 0:45Speaker 1: we talk about so much more. My name's Carolyn Swindell,
- 0:48Speaker 1: and we're ready for a fourteen Kent Gold episode.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Just fourteen, just fourteen. Hi, I'm cath Cox.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Hi, I'm Lizellas.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Do you just google what's got fourteen?
- 0:57Speaker 1: That's exactly what opened you tell me interesting things about
- 1:00Speaker 1: the number fourteen.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Oh, I just assume that Carolyn had all that information
- 1:04Speaker 3: in her head, which wouldn't surprise you.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Either though, right, well, thank you. I appreciate that I
- 1:09Speaker 1: did know the Sonnets. One thing that did come up
- 1:13Speaker 1: is that Juliet was likely thirteen or fourteen when all
- 1:16Speaker 1: of that nonsense went down between the Montagues and the Capulates.
- 1:20Speaker 1: And it's like, that's too young, too young to endorse that.
- 1:24Speaker 3: No, And you know Evelyn's class is doing Romeo and
- 1:27Speaker 3: Juliet at the moment. We've had a couple of long
- 1:29Speaker 3: conversations about the inappropriateness of you know, A having a
- 1:33Speaker 3: relationship that intense when you're thirteen or fourteen, and b
- 1:36Speaker 3: then ending your life over it, Like that's just, that's just.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And the whole thing happens in about two weeks, I think,
- 1:42Speaker 1: doesn't it Like it's sort of like that their whole
- 1:44Speaker 1: love affair is not particularly long, and then they get
- 1:48Speaker 1: married and it's like, now, look, no wonder the parents
- 1:50Speaker 1: are disapproving.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Two weeks. That's an intense two weeks. I feel like
- 1:54Speaker 3: I'm busy, but that just takes a cake.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Well, it happens in real life too. I'm watching off
- 1:59Speaker 2: campus at the moment. I know that's not real life.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Guys.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I'm surprised that you hear Catherine jumped.
- 2:08Speaker 1: On the bar a little. Don't exciteing Catherine.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Don't joke about that, though, lizellous, Because if I have
- 2:14Speaker 2: twenty minutes spare in the day, I run home and
- 2:17Speaker 2: I put it on and I watch it. The internet
- 2:20Speaker 2: shut itself the other day right at a big moment.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And I nearly cried, just the television just froze.
- 2:27Speaker 2: That I'm through it and it is soft porn.
- 2:29Speaker 1: And do you recommend it? Yeah, yes, we've come to no.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Dripple recommends very early in this episode, so.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Modern day Romeo, And what.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Do you recommend about it? I mean, obviously it's zeitgeisty,
- 2:46Speaker 1: so you are you are in the conversation that is
- 2:48Speaker 1: happening around the world at the moment.
- 2:50Speaker 2: That's good when you see butt within the first two
- 2:53Speaker 2: minutes of the show starting like boy butt two not
- 2:57Speaker 2: girl Button's.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Can I give you a not Dribble recommends, Yes, I
- 3:04Speaker 3: recommend not letting your mother come on what she play
- 3:06Speaker 3: when the last time she saw you play was a
- 3:08Speaker 3: World Cup. Oh no, I know, as you guys all know,
- 3:14Speaker 3: I have made my comeback in Ballina in DIV one
- 3:17Speaker 3: and I played again. I've played another half on the
- 3:19Speaker 3: weekend for a glorious win for the Headlands team.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Comulations.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Thanks. Yeah, I didn't have that much to do with it.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I just which was great, which is what you do
- 3:29Speaker 3: when your goalkeeper right. And I may have played a
- 3:31Speaker 3: couple of minutes at goal shoot up and did not
- 3:34Speaker 3: cover myself in glory. AnyWho give us my goal. I
- 3:37Speaker 3: got a goal, A goal?
- 3:39Speaker 2: How many chimps before you got the solitary goal? Two? Oh,
- 3:43Speaker 2: it's not bad.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I shot one from two, So okay, that'll do. That's
- 3:47Speaker 3: all I needed to do anyhow. So my gorgeous mother.
- 3:52Speaker 3: She is very I mean, you guys love her. She's
- 3:56Speaker 3: a lovely old lady. If anyone meets her, they go,
- 3:59Speaker 3: I love you, missus Ella. She's so nice, but she's
- 4:02Speaker 3: really a bit sometimes takes a little bit too much
- 4:05Speaker 3: of the truth. Serum, what's the serum in Harry Potter?
- 4:08Speaker 3: Very to serum, varata, serum, whatever it is? I think.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Serum in what's your show?
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, and tell you.
- 4:19Speaker 1: What's it called off campus? What's the serum in off campus?
- 4:26Speaker 3: And what's the dispensation method? Anyway, we won't go there,
- 4:28Speaker 3: but so I'll give you an example of what my
- 4:31Speaker 3: mum's like. She's beautiful. But when I was a little kid,
- 4:34Speaker 3: we did this thing once on Valentine's Day. I was
- 4:36Speaker 3: liking you three, and we put cards on each other's table,
- 4:40Speaker 3: like we made cards, and then the boys left, the
- 4:42Speaker 3: girls left the room, or the boys left the room.
- 4:43Speaker 3: We put cards on the boy's table and the girls
- 4:45Speaker 3: left the room and they put cards on our table
- 4:48Speaker 3: and I came back into the room and I did
- 4:49Speaker 3: not get a Valentine's Day card. Thank you, That's what
- 4:53Speaker 3: I was looking for. And then I go home that afternoon.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I was crying. I know, Mom said, what happened?
- 5:01Speaker 4: I didn't get a Valentine's Steak card?
- 5:03Speaker 3: You know, the cute blonde got all the Valentine's Stay
- 5:05Speaker 3: cards and idea by the way, yes, yes, I see,
- 5:10Speaker 3: and Mum said not. I mean, you probably hadn't even
- 5:14Speaker 3: started school then Cash around a couple of years older
- 5:16Speaker 3: than you. Anyway, this is my story. So Mum sat
- 5:18Speaker 3: me down and said, Lizzie, we need to have a chat.
- 5:20Speaker 3: And I thought she'd sort of tell me the secret
- 5:22Speaker 3: to getting Valentine's Day cards. And she goes, Lizzie, there's
- 5:25Speaker 3: something you need to know. You're not very pretty. Oh,
- 5:32Speaker 3: but you've got a lovely personality and that's why I you.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Oh.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Fast forward ten years and there's your Tinder profile.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Exactly. I'm not very pretty, bay a lovely personality. Thank
- 5:46Speaker 3: God I jagged a husband before the age of Tinder.
- 5:48Speaker 3: But anyway, so fast forward many many fifty forty five years,
- 5:53Speaker 3: and here I am making my comeback at Ballina and
- 5:57Speaker 3: one of the dads in the team, who's not to
- 6:00Speaker 3: give me compliments very often, I must say, He turned
- 6:02Speaker 3: to mum and said, why are.
- 6:03Speaker 1: You surrounding yourself with all these assholes all the time?
- 6:06Speaker 1: They're sharing you with compliments?
- 6:08Speaker 3: They should, but they're funny. I'll put up with lots
- 6:10Speaker 3: of things for funny. But anyhow, he turned to my
- 6:13Speaker 3: mum and he goes, oh, Liza is going all right,
- 6:15Speaker 3: isn't she. She's still got it mum's heighte and it'
- 6:17Speaker 3: say okay, but it's nothing like it used to be.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Well, she'd be fair. She's got a point, I.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Know, the least she I mean, I just was laughing.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I'm like, she couldn't say yeah, wow. I'm so impressed
- 6:29Speaker 3: that at fifty three she can still play against players
- 6:33Speaker 3: who are in their twenties and she's competitive. No, there
- 6:36Speaker 3: is none of that. There is none of the rose
- 6:39Speaker 3: colored glasses. It's she's all right, but it's not funny love.
- 6:44Speaker 2: She's I mean, she's tough. She's boating and doing all
- 6:50Speaker 2: the things. So she probably did expect me.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yes, I mean, when she was seventy five, she was well.
- 6:55Speaker 3: When she was seventy she went and got a twenty
- 6:57Speaker 3: two seated bus license. And then when she was seventy five,
- 7:00Speaker 3: I said to her one day, what are you doing?
- 7:01Speaker 3: She goes, I'm volunteering for community transport. Someone's got to
- 7:04Speaker 3: drive these oldies to the doctor.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Oh God, lover, Elizabeth Ellis, because Carolyn and I are
- 7:13Speaker 2: coming up when you make the grand Final, I'm to
- 7:15Speaker 2: watch you play for absolutely. I'm going to make a
- 7:17Speaker 2: sign and there'll be pomp poms, but we want some
- 7:20Speaker 2: sort of decent performance, right, not going for nothing? When
- 7:25Speaker 2: is this? Is this a standard netball season? Yes, you
- 7:29Speaker 2: can't make it through that season. When's the when's the
- 7:32Speaker 2: grand When is it?
- 7:35Speaker 3: I don't know. I can't tell you. I think they've
- 7:37Speaker 3: canceled it.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Such a lot.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Did you go me chicken?
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you just don't want us to make a scene
- 7:44Speaker 2: at your netball game.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I think I had a really interesting conversation I was hosting.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I did four comedy shows on the weekend. I just exhausted.
- 7:56Speaker 1: But usually there's no more than Often it's just one
- 7:59Speaker 1: woman on lineup, and they go, well, that's diversity. Sometimes
- 8:03Speaker 1: you get two, which is great because then I get
- 8:05Speaker 1: to meet other female comics this week with three, which
- 8:08Speaker 1: was just fascinating anyway, And I was on the lineup
- 8:12Speaker 1: with one of my favorite meetings. Her name's Kate Doland.
- 8:15Speaker 1: She's very funny, but she's just super smart and I
- 8:18Speaker 1: always really interested in her view and we were talking
- 8:21Speaker 1: about this phenomena where women feel invisible after a certain age,
- 8:27Speaker 1: and she and the other young comic were asking me
- 8:30Speaker 1: had I experienced that, and I said, I've not experienced her,
- 8:33Speaker 1: but I've never felt that visible anyway. And I've just
- 8:37Speaker 1: I've wondered whether it is something when you know, society
- 8:40Speaker 1: tells women that their value is based around how they look,
- 8:43Speaker 1: and so if women then derive their own value from
- 8:46Speaker 1: the way they look, and the way that unfortunately goes
- 8:50Speaker 1: south fairly quickly after a certain age, Like do you
- 8:53Speaker 1: then feel invisible because you're no longer getting that admiring
- 8:57Speaker 1: gaze from being atty? I don't know. It was just
- 9:01Speaker 1: it was a really interesting conversation, but I said, I've
- 9:03Speaker 1: never felt that visible anyway. I've never felt like people
- 9:06Speaker 1: are really looking at me. I've felt more that people
- 9:08Speaker 1: are listening to me, so and that hasn't changed but yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 1: I just thought.
- 9:12Speaker 3: That that's interesting. Having never been a hottie, I don't know,
- 9:16Speaker 3: but I do feel like when you're six foot tall,
- 9:19Speaker 3: it's hard to be invisible. Yeah, you know, you walk
- 9:22Speaker 3: in somewhere and people are going to look at you
- 9:24Speaker 3: to get served or whatever. So but I think it's
- 9:27Speaker 3: a really interesting question. I saw something online the other day,
- 9:31Speaker 3: and you know, I've just come back from my appointment
- 9:33Speaker 3: with my menopause doctor, so I'm thinking about this sort
- 9:35Speaker 3: of stuff. But I saw something online the other day.
- 9:37Speaker 3: There's a woman who's a photographer who's taking a thousand
- 9:40Speaker 3: photos in a thousand days of women over the age
- 9:42Speaker 3: of fifty without makeup on.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And fuck, I mean that sounds wonderful.
- 9:47Speaker 3: I don't wear makeup like I don't.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I don't.
- 9:50Speaker 3: I mean, I love you too, but I don't love
- 9:51Speaker 3: you enough to makeup on for this podcast that you
- 9:53Speaker 3: can now see on YouTube. But like, it is interesting
- 9:56Speaker 3: that there's this whole. And then one day Catherine and
- 9:58Speaker 3: I we were at this hairdressers when we used to
- 10:02Speaker 3: try and go together, and we put photos of ourselves
- 10:06Speaker 3: getting like with foils on or getting something done, and
- 10:09Speaker 3: someone posted how brave it was. And I was like,
- 10:12Speaker 3: what I reckon? If you've used to being an athlete
- 10:15Speaker 3: and you used to just running around without makeup on, yes, like,
- 10:19Speaker 3: it's just the thing. I never I can't tell you
- 10:23Speaker 3: unless I'm going out for dinner or something. I just
- 10:25Speaker 3: don't bother with it. But no, I mean it doesn't
- 10:28Speaker 3: bother me.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Just a piss out of yourself. I think if you
- 10:31Speaker 2: can fall into that too, right, I think that's right. Yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 2: we have always done that. I would rather put a
- 10:37Speaker 2: photo of me online with my hair stuck up in
- 10:39Speaker 2: rollers than any alternative.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Maybe. Where I met you guys, and we were out
- 10:45Speaker 1: at Mauri or somewhere like that, and it was on
- 10:48Speaker 1: the Girl's Multi Sports tour, so we had the hockey
- 10:52Speaker 1: players there, we had some soccer players, Judo, karate whatever
- 10:57Speaker 1: it was. Anyway, at one stage in the many hours
- 11:00Speaker 1: that we had together, you guys got the hockey players
- 11:04Speaker 1: a softball. We also had softball there, and let's try
- 11:08Speaker 1: each other's sport. And it was interesting because now I
- 11:12Speaker 1: would do that and I would go, yeah, I don't care,
- 11:14Speaker 1: I'm going to fail at this. I would feel very
- 11:15Speaker 1: comfortable without it. But at that stage I just didn't
- 11:17Speaker 1: participate in it because I thought everyone else he's here
- 11:21Speaker 1: is good at sport. I'm going to be shit at everything.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And it's like I didn't want I didn't feel comfortable
- 11:26Speaker 1: enough to be shit at stuff, And now I feel
- 11:29Speaker 1: entire clearly, feel entirely comfortable being shit at stuff. And
- 11:34Speaker 1: a part of that, for me, I think is CrossFit
- 11:36Speaker 1: because I've become a whole lot more I guess appreciative
- 11:39Speaker 1: of my own body and what I can do with it.
- 11:41Speaker 1: But I also think that it's also the stand up
- 11:44Speaker 1: comedy that it's like, well, I have to be willing
- 11:46Speaker 1: to look stupid, that's my job.
- 11:48Speaker 2: But that's why we get on too, because that's appealing.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Right.
- 11:52Speaker 2: We are similar people in that regard. I don't know
- 11:55Speaker 2: that i'd hang out with you if you had a
- 11:57Speaker 2: higher opinion of yourself. Then no one wants to hear that.
- 12:01Speaker 1: No, I think that's right. Yeah, yeah, people who take
- 12:04Speaker 1: themselves too seriously.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Quick question back at the rojo, we would have sucked
- 12:07Speaker 2: at everybody.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Else's sports, yes, but and I was quite This was
- 12:12Speaker 1: quite troubling for me because I reflected on it later on,
- 12:14Speaker 1: It's like, what the but you know, if someone had
- 12:18Speaker 1: asked me to stand up and do a presentation. I
- 12:19Speaker 1: would have felt comfortable doing that.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Because I might have cried. Right, So there you go.
- 12:24Speaker 1: But I guess in that situation, it's like, well, everyone's
- 12:27Speaker 1: clear that everyone here is really good at one thing,
- 12:30Speaker 1: and it was I didn't. I guess I didn't feel
- 12:32Speaker 1: like my offering or my expertise was obvious. So I
- 12:37Speaker 1: you know, if I look stupid in that, am I
- 12:39Speaker 1: going to look stupid? And I just I feel sorry
- 12:41Speaker 1: for younger Carolyn. She wasn't very young, but younger Carolyn like,
- 12:44Speaker 1: it's just it's a hard way to live your life,
- 12:46Speaker 1: isn't it, caring about looking foolish?
- 12:51Speaker 2: You know? It is too short, way too short?
- 12:54Speaker 3: And I just think, if I'm walking around with that
- 12:56Speaker 3: makeup on, it's not my problem. The people have to
- 12:59Speaker 3: look at me.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Well, that's the thing. It's not my problem what I
- 13:01Speaker 1: look like. It's everyone issue.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Well, I think you look gorgeous. Do you know what
- 13:08Speaker 2: your biggest issue is? Your actual eyesight. We've had a
- 13:11Speaker 2: win this morning.
- 13:12Speaker 1: We've had a massive win this morning. What doing this
- 13:14Speaker 1: podcast as just has really saved me a lot of grief.
- 13:19Speaker 2: So we walk in here Carolyn sits down and then goes, oh, oh,
- 13:23Speaker 2: my glasses. I've been looking for those.
- 13:26Speaker 1: For a week. Well, and they sit here because because
- 13:30Speaker 1: of my height, I have to have a cushion behind
- 13:32Speaker 1: me on this chair, or else I sit too far
- 13:35Speaker 1: back and my feet won't touch the ground and Catherine
- 13:37Speaker 1: will mock me. So they've just fallen under the cushion.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And it wasn't until I picked the cushion up to
- 13:42Speaker 1: sit in this position and went, oh, and my family
- 13:45Speaker 1: will be so grateful because I've done nothing except talk
- 13:48Speaker 1: about my glasses being missing to everyone for days, figuring
- 13:52Speaker 1: someone will see them and they won't know that I'm
- 13:55Speaker 1: missing the glasses. So anyway, that was, but.
- 13:57Speaker 2: No one actually goes actively looking for the me.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Oh god, no, no, no, no, not at all. No
- 14:04Speaker 1: one else one bit.
- 14:06Speaker 3: But my problem is if I can't find my glasses,
- 14:09Speaker 3: I need my glasses to help me find my glass exactly. Yes, true,
- 14:13Speaker 3: And it's mortifying to have to admit that to your children,
- 14:15Speaker 3: who then who then don't help just satisfy.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Then they hid them when they do find them.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Oh, middle age, it's a glorious thing. I don't I'm
- 14:24Speaker 1: too scared to think about what year I have to
- 14:27Speaker 1: stop calling myself middle aged. Surely I'm fifty six now,
- 14:31Speaker 1: so surely, like no one lives to one hundred and twelve,
- 14:33Speaker 1: so I'm probably not the first. Well I mean someone has.
- 14:37Speaker 1: There are a few people who have. But yeah, well
- 14:41Speaker 1: there you go. But I don't know when middle age ends.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Well, say, is it supposed to be? Like is it
- 14:49Speaker 3: thirty thirty thirty or isn't it you're learning third, you're
- 14:52Speaker 3: working third, and you're living third, or you're dying third.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Whatever you want to do at thirty thirty thirty, it
- 14:57Speaker 3: takes you to ninety. So then I reckon six, this
- 15:00Speaker 3: is a bit too close to me old age because
- 15:02Speaker 3: it's not that far away.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Well, sixty also sounds like we're working till sixty. Yeah,
- 15:06Speaker 2: we're working beyond sixty.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Yeah, oh this is true. So maybe seventies old age.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Yeah, but like set you meet seventy, Like you know,
- 15:15Speaker 1: the example there of your mum at seventy five, she
- 15:18Speaker 1: wasn't old, she was just retired. She you know, I
- 15:20Speaker 1: think there is a yeah, seventy year old's very vibrant,
- 15:25Speaker 1: very active, and so I don't know.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Well, if you think about over fifty fives or fifties
- 15:32Speaker 2: living places. Yes, well it's a long time ago. That
- 15:36Speaker 2: isn't me this year, disgrace. Isn't it that you can
- 15:39Speaker 2: move into those now?
- 15:41Speaker 1: And I I feel like we should stop talking about this,
- 15:44Speaker 1: have a little break and then talk about some netball
- 15:46Speaker 1: because we have a winner of the tipping car.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Oh, let's take a break.
- 16:02Speaker 1: And welcome back. And what a weekend we had. We've
- 16:06Speaker 1: already talked about the number fourteen fourteen of February's obviously
- 16:10Speaker 1: Valentine's Day, all about love and how much did we love?
- 16:14Speaker 1: The weekend that was so exciting.
- 16:16Speaker 2: So exciting, it was hard. It was hard to sit
- 16:21Speaker 2: through the first game. It was a great game of
- 16:23Speaker 2: net all the thunderbirds and the lightning, but all you
- 16:26Speaker 2: really wanted to do was to get to the ones
- 16:28Speaker 2: that meant something for the finals equation, which was the
- 16:30Speaker 2: following game. How great mAbs getting the win and then
- 16:34Speaker 2: putting all the pressure on the West Coast Fever. Did
- 16:37Speaker 2: not think the West Coast Fever had it in them.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Got to say no, I so.
- 16:42Speaker 3: And so the MAVs won and did Fever have to
- 16:44Speaker 3: win by eight to ensure a home final?
- 16:47Speaker 1: Was that there had to win by eight.
- 16:49Speaker 2: But it was interesting because even after the game, I
- 16:51Speaker 2: think it depended on the scores as well as to
- 16:54Speaker 2: what the actual percentage was. So it was round about eight.
- 16:58Speaker 2: But you'll notice, right if you watch the game the end,
- 17:00Speaker 2: they're in the huddle and Dan Ryan saying, look, just
- 17:02Speaker 2: everyone stay calm because we're still not entirely sure whatever,
- 17:05Speaker 2: and then they get the news that yes, they've done enough,
- 17:09Speaker 2: and they erupted. So it was they did win by nine,
- 17:12Speaker 2: so they gave themselves that one goal extra buffer. But
- 17:15Speaker 2: we were watching the last bits of that game before
- 17:17Speaker 2: we went on air for our game, and I thought
- 17:19Speaker 2: they'd thrown it away a couple of times, didn't take
- 17:22Speaker 2: opportunities to take one points when they should have lost possession. Like,
- 17:26Speaker 2: my god, they knew in interesting ways to lose the ball.
- 17:29Speaker 2: The West Coast fever.
- 17:30Speaker 3: At the end, and they were up by more, They're
- 17:33Speaker 3: up by more during the game, and I.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Was up by twelve I think Cruise sixteen at one
- 17:39Speaker 1: point in quarter four. Yep, shit, unbelievable, and Zoe Cransburg
- 17:46Speaker 1: that intercept that was sensational believable. I just I just
- 17:51Speaker 1: kept thinking, imagine if you were in their shoes. With
- 17:54Speaker 1: that sort of pressure, you've got to go to Melbourne.
- 17:57Speaker 1: So third week on the road, sorry in a row.
- 18:01Speaker 2: But then you've got the actual margin you have to
- 18:03Speaker 2: win by, Like getting a win would have been hard enough,
- 18:06Speaker 2: let alone that's your target. That's what you've got to
- 18:09Speaker 2: get to imagine too.
- 18:10Speaker 1: If they hadn't done it, they'd be back to Melbourne
- 18:12Speaker 1: again this week, like they would be, and then potentially
- 18:16Speaker 1: back to Melbourne again, you know, for following two weeks after,
- 18:21Speaker 1: Like just yeah, that was very exciting, but there were
- 18:24Speaker 1: before that, like got to give it to the Firebirds,
- 18:28Speaker 1: really took it to the MAVs. I did not see
- 18:30Speaker 1: that game being as tight as it was. That was
- 18:32Speaker 1: that was sensational. So all the teams that well, three
- 18:38Speaker 1: out of the four teams at the bottom of the
- 18:39Speaker 1: ladder I think, really sort of showed up on the
- 18:41Speaker 1: weekend like the Giants' house. Really that was great and
- 18:45Speaker 1: I sat I was right in the nosebleeds for this game,
- 18:49Speaker 1: and all of the Swifts fans around me were almost
- 18:53Speaker 1: in tears for the Giants as well. At the end
- 18:55Speaker 1: of the game. It was a really it was a
- 18:57Speaker 1: beautiful spirit of game. Not clearly Swifts wanted to win it,
- 19:00Speaker 1: but you know, I wore my no dribbleshirt because I
- 19:03Speaker 1: couldn't decide between my two children in that one. But
- 19:06Speaker 1: I'm so happy for the Giants.
- 19:08Speaker 2: I was next to Sam Pullman. She burst into tears
- 19:11Speaker 2: right away as soon as that final whistle went, and
- 19:13Speaker 2: I asked her what the emotion was about, because she's
- 19:16Speaker 2: an ex Giant or I said, is it because you
- 19:18Speaker 2: are an athlete that's been in that position and you
- 19:21Speaker 2: like you just you know what it feels like? And
- 19:23Speaker 2: she said, I think that's what it was, just the
- 19:25Speaker 2: emotion of, oh my god, I know what a stress
- 19:28Speaker 2: that season would have been like for them not getting
- 19:31Speaker 2: a win and to finally get one in the final game.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Crazy the Giants, So tell you what, they're a round
- 19:37Speaker 2: fourteen games, impressive last year?
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yeah, that's right. And that was Joe Harton's
- 19:44Speaker 1: final game, and one with a two pointer right on
- 19:48Speaker 1: the on the sire and that was sensational.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Let me ask you, have they do you think having
- 19:54Speaker 3: watched them this season, given they've got heppie young players
- 19:57Speaker 3: in their squad, have they done enough to make you
- 20:00Speaker 3: think that they'll be a threat next year or they
- 20:01Speaker 3: still two or three years away.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I think there's still two or three years away. They've
- 20:06Speaker 2: got some filling of holes to do, and who they
- 20:11Speaker 2: put in there will be very important. Jane Watson obviously
- 20:14Speaker 2: won't be there. She announced her retirement. She'll be heading
- 20:16Speaker 2: back to New Zealand. And Lucy Austin what happens with her.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Well, what happens with any of them? There's none of
- 20:22Speaker 1: them on contract next year. I mean, I'm really hoping
- 20:24Speaker 1: that we'll see the likes of Aaron O'Brien and Amy
- 20:27Speaker 1: Sliger and Sophie Dwyer re signing next year. But who knows.
- 20:31Speaker 1: That can't be counted on, can I mean? I would
- 20:33Speaker 1: assume that there will be a number of clubs after
- 20:36Speaker 1: a number of these players from the Giants, so every
- 20:40Speaker 1: team could look completely different, couldn't they They could?
- 20:44Speaker 2: True? Yeah, I feel like those guys will stay around though,
- 20:46Speaker 2: because they'll want to build on what they've got if
- 20:48Speaker 2: I mean, if the Giants exist, all the rumors that
- 20:52Speaker 2: they wouldn't remember.
- 20:54Speaker 1: That was last year, wasn't it? Do we still? I guess?
- 20:56Speaker 1: I guess we're back at you know, we made it
- 20:58Speaker 1: through a season that could be another who knows. Oh god, Catherine,
- 21:05Speaker 1: well that's just wrecked everything.
- 21:07Speaker 3: I'll I'll give you a good story. So my niece
- 21:10Speaker 3: turned eighteen in May and on the night of her
- 21:15Speaker 3: eighteenth the Giants played and I forget who they were playing,
- 21:18Speaker 3: might have been the Firebirds, and they were up and
- 21:20Speaker 3: we thought, oh, what a great Adam's birthday presence. The
- 21:23Speaker 3: Giants are going to get the win. So she would
- 21:24Speaker 3: erupt in her party to go and watch, and they
- 21:27Speaker 3: lost in the dying moment. So that was that was
- 21:29Speaker 3: good fun for a party. But she went to She
- 21:32Speaker 3: went down to Sydney and went to the Giants game
- 21:35Speaker 3: on the weekend and I could see her on the television.
- 21:39Speaker 3: I knew where she was sitting, and I could see her.
- 21:40Speaker 3: At the end of the game. She jumped up and
- 21:42Speaker 3: sent me your photo. She was boiling her eyes out.
- 21:44Speaker 3: She's cheered for the Giants since they started because she
- 21:47Speaker 3: loved Kim Green and Julie Fitzgerald when she was a
- 21:49Speaker 3: little girl. And then for her to be there this
- 21:51Speaker 3: weekend and I looked at her and I thought, my god,
- 21:54Speaker 3: there would be so many Giants fans in the same boat.
- 21:56Speaker 3: And as it turns out, Carolyn, like Swiss fans are
- 21:59Speaker 3: the same. If you if you can't if the Swifts
- 22:02Speaker 3: couldn't win, I was so wrap that the Giants got
- 22:04Speaker 3: the win.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Bridy, your niece text me a photo of her
- 22:09Speaker 2: ticket and said, this is where I'm sitting. I hope
- 22:11Speaker 2: I get to see you anyway. I rock up to
- 22:14Speaker 2: my commentary bench. She is in the seat right next
- 22:18Speaker 2: to me courtside.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Which is why I'm here on the telly because of
- 22:23Speaker 3: the back of your head. In the back of her head.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Was so great.
- 22:27Speaker 3: It was very cute. So yeah, but I just thought, wow,
- 22:29Speaker 3: that's that's such a great finish, and there'll be so
- 22:32Speaker 3: many Giants fans who want to come back next year
- 22:34Speaker 3: to see what they can do.
- 22:36Speaker 2: A lot of people would have had some big celebrations yesterday.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Seasons over. Can you believe it? It's gone so fast.
- 22:43Speaker 2: But now we're into finals and we know where they're
- 22:46Speaker 2: going to be and we both on Sunday, Yeah, massive Sunday.
- 22:50Speaker 1: And neither of them in Melbourne, which is yeah, which
- 22:52Speaker 1: is cool actually because it's like we know that the
- 22:54Speaker 1: Grand Final is going to be there, we know that
- 22:57Speaker 1: the Vixens will probably lose next week and then the
- 22:59Speaker 1: following week play in Melbourne, so you know Melbourne will
- 23:02Speaker 1: get more than its share of Finals netball. But yet,
- 23:06Speaker 1: like we've talked about all the good news, what's happening
- 23:08Speaker 1: with the Vixens, that was that was really tough to
- 23:11Speaker 1: watch that game.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Well, it wasn't just.
- 23:14Speaker 1: That Fever were great, It was that Vixen's were not
- 23:17Speaker 1: themselves up until that fourth quarter.
- 23:19Speaker 2: And who would have known how that game was going
- 23:22Speaker 2: to play out because both of those sides I think
- 23:24Speaker 2: have been descending a little bit from the form they
- 23:27Speaker 2: started the season in. And so many people on Facebook
- 23:31Speaker 2: pages and on social media saying, are the Vixen's doing
- 23:34Speaker 2: a swifts? Yeah from last year started with a hiss
- 23:37Speaker 2: and a roar and they're going to go out in
- 23:38Speaker 2: straight sets.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Well, so they go into finals next week having I
- 23:42Speaker 1: don't think they've won since round nine or round ten.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Both the MAVs and Fever go in having won the
- 23:49Speaker 1: last couple of games. I think I Maps have certainly won.
- 23:53Speaker 2: The last names have won seven of the last eight.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and Fever I think they dropped a game to
- 23:58Speaker 1: the Swift set. They dropped a cup at home the
- 24:01Speaker 1: fever and then pick some. But you know they're going
- 24:04Speaker 1: in the Thunderbirds fever. MAVs are going in off the
- 24:08Speaker 1: back of some solid wins. Vixens haven't managed to get
- 24:13Speaker 1: a win in some weeks and then this week they
- 24:16Speaker 1: have to go to Adelaide to play the Thunderbirds. So
- 24:19Speaker 1: I think although the tipping comp is over, it would
- 24:23Speaker 1: be a very brave person, I think who would tip
- 24:25Speaker 1: the Vixens to win that.
- 24:27Speaker 2: And the last game there they lost by nineteen not
- 24:30Speaker 2: that long ago, so yeah, they're going back to the
- 24:33Speaker 2: scene of the crime.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Yeah, And you know, I think momentum is critical as
- 24:38Speaker 3: you go into finals, Like I think it's really hard
- 24:40Speaker 3: if you've lost momentum, it's hard to pick it up
- 24:42Speaker 3: the week before finals and to find it and then
- 24:44Speaker 3: teams who come in confidence is an amazing thing when
- 24:47Speaker 3: you go to finals. Having said that, though, the Vixen's
- 24:50Speaker 3: team are a team that have won a Grand Final
- 24:52Speaker 3: within the last twelve months, right, so they sort of know.
- 24:55Speaker 3: And I'm really looking forward to that final. I think
- 24:58Speaker 3: it'll be it'll be interesting, right if Fixens can turn
- 25:03Speaker 3: things around, because they know how. But g Willikers Thunderbirds
- 25:07Speaker 3: have such great momentum.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Well, the Vixens have won one in the last twelve
- 25:12Speaker 1: months and lost one in the last two years, so
- 25:15Speaker 1: this would be their third Grand Final appearance in a row.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Am I right? Am I remembering that correctly? Didn't They
- 25:20Speaker 1: lose to Fever the year before, no Thunderbirds the year before.
- 25:25Speaker 3: They lost their Thunderbirds in Adelaide, and then they beat
- 25:28Speaker 3: Fever last year in Melbourne.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so memories twelve months at best.
- 25:33Speaker 1: But there's a lot of Yeah, that's a number of
- 25:35Speaker 1: teams with big game. Now, Catherine, you said who would
- 25:42Speaker 1: have tipped that? And I can tell you actually, yeah,
- 25:45Speaker 1: well quite a few people. We had five people get
- 25:48Speaker 1: six points this week, so not only did they tip
- 25:51Speaker 1: all four games, but they got the margin correct in
- 25:54Speaker 1: the Lightning Thunderbirds game. So five people got six points.
- 25:58Speaker 1: That's Gobsmat forty one people got five points, so like,
- 26:04Speaker 1: so four or five percent of tipsters actually got it correct.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Wow.
- 26:09Speaker 1: So yes, so it was a big end. As a
- 26:12Speaker 1: result of this, we have had a dark horse come
- 26:16Speaker 1: from behind to win the entire tipping comp.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Win's that happening? Do I do a drummer?
- 26:22Speaker 1: Well, first, let me give some love to the tipper
- 26:24Speaker 1: of the week who sal who is a Fever supporter,
- 26:28Speaker 1: so she had a pretty good week. She'll be getting
- 26:30Speaker 1: the fifty dollars Ala voucher for having won the for
- 26:35Speaker 1: being the best tipper of the round. But the winner
- 26:38Speaker 1: of the two and twenty six Valor Dribblers Tipping comb
- 26:43Speaker 1: Wit with a score of fifty six is Leanne who
- 26:49Speaker 1: goes by the tipping name called it from the couch. Oh.
- 26:54Speaker 4: She she.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Is a Thunderbirds fan, so life's pretty bloody good for
- 27:00Speaker 1: her at the moment. And I haven't managed to get
- 27:03Speaker 1: hold of her yet. We're very obviously. Part of her
- 27:05Speaker 1: prize is two tickets to our Grand Final Eve function
- 27:09Speaker 1: in Melbourne, very much hoping she will be there at
- 27:12Speaker 1: that one. So we do still have some tickets left
- 27:15Speaker 1: for that to the Grand Worldly. Yeah, congratulations called it
- 27:20Speaker 1: from the couch. But so she won it with fifty
- 27:23Speaker 1: six points in fiftieth position, like the person who's fiftieth
- 27:28Speaker 1: It was only five points behind, like it was a
- 27:30Speaker 1: really congested field at the top there. She was the
- 27:33Speaker 1: only one who got fifty. There were three who got
- 27:35Speaker 1: fifty five equal seconds. So Thunday Undy Firstborns and off
- 27:39Speaker 1: to the pub and obviously there are some other interesting
- 27:43Speaker 1: placements that you might be interested in. What do you
- 27:46Speaker 1: stop looking at my name?
- 27:47Speaker 2: Did I just see somebody jumped over the top of me?
- 27:50Speaker 1: You did see somebody jumped over the top. And I'm
- 27:54Speaker 1: wondering whether do we do we share this or do
- 27:56Speaker 1: we wait for Friday to share the information about what
- 28:00Speaker 1: happened in the Hosts and Heroes tipping ladder, Because I
- 28:06Speaker 1: have had Daryl the stats Man wanting to get a
- 28:09Speaker 1: seat sneak peek at the results for the weekend. Apparently
- 28:12Speaker 1: he's wanting to do some material for Facebook, but I
- 28:15Speaker 1: have refused to share that information because we know what
- 28:18Speaker 1: he wants, right, we know what he wants. Well, let
- 28:21Speaker 1: me just do the other the most important, the second
- 28:24Speaker 1: most important place here that is the Golden Turkey in
- 28:28Speaker 1: seven hundred and forty eighth place is Nicky Conway Buckler.
- 28:35Speaker 1: The whole, the whole way through. She scored a massive
- 28:38Speaker 1: fourteen points over the course of fourteen rounds. I think
- 28:43Speaker 1: she would have been very disappointed to have scored a
- 28:45Speaker 1: point on the weekend, but she has won our Golden
- 28:49Speaker 1: Turkey and so very deserving of it. She has worked
- 28:52Speaker 1: hard for that for the whole season now.
- 28:55Speaker 2: I was in the pet store the other day and
- 28:57Speaker 2: they had a Golden Turkey a Squeaky Dog toys and
- 29:00Speaker 2: I was about to get it, but then I thought
- 29:02Speaker 2: if we have to post it, I'm not sure Australian
- 29:04Speaker 2: Post will.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Now, if you win the Golden Turkey, you get a
- 29:09Speaker 1: proper trophy. Yeah, yeah, I know that's great.
- 29:12Speaker 2: That's great, but I think they should also get a
- 29:14Speaker 2: out in Turkey.
- 29:16Speaker 1: I will tell you what happened in the Host and
- 29:17Speaker 1: Heroes on the weekend. Every Tipper all of the eight
- 29:21Speaker 1: of US, seven out of the eight of US scored two.
- 29:24Speaker 1: One Tipper scored five and moved herself into second position.
- 29:31Speaker 1: The winner of the Host and Heroes ladder is Darryl
- 29:34Speaker 1: Milton stats Man on fifty points in second place, Susan
- 29:40Speaker 1: Gordian on forty nine points, scoring five on the weekend
- 29:45Speaker 1: in third place, Catherine Anne Cox also on forty nine,
- 29:50Speaker 1: in fourth place, the Bascinator on forty seven. In fifth place,
- 29:56Speaker 1: Alexa your Neddy net Borbesti on forty six. And then
- 30:00Speaker 1: there's Daylight to Keiley Devery on thirty six, me also
- 30:05Speaker 1: on thirty six, and then the meat Trey rounds us
- 30:08Speaker 1: out on twenty seven points. So what a speed tax
- 30:12Speaker 1: season from the also rams in the Hosts and Heroes ladder.
- 30:16Speaker 2: So Sue Gordion quite the weekend. Not only did she
- 30:19Speaker 2: get five in the tipping but I text her yesterday
- 30:22Speaker 2: when that watching that game, and I said, oh my god,
- 30:25Speaker 2: how are you coping? Because can you imagine that's the
- 30:27Speaker 2: stress watching that game, knowing full well that they have
- 30:30Speaker 2: the opportunity to hostess and finally won it. She's like, yeah,
- 30:34Speaker 2: I'm not not coping crazy, So they've got to win.
- 30:37Speaker 2: They get a grand semifinal back there, and she's just
- 30:40Speaker 2: skyrocketed up the tipping ladder.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and she'll be at our grand final leave event.
- 30:45Speaker 1: So whether or not fever there, God is going to
- 30:48Speaker 1: be there. And also I think she got some sort
- 30:50Speaker 1: of award in the King's Birthday weekend just a week ago,
- 30:52Speaker 1: so it's been a big week. She's in a power
- 30:55Speaker 1: and Susan she is in an absolute purple patch. So
- 30:59Speaker 1: there we go. Thank you, Thank you to Valor for
- 31:00Speaker 1: supporting the tipping comp again, and thanks to everyone who participated.
- 31:04Speaker 1: We had over eight hundred people participate. So oh you
- 31:08Speaker 1: heard me say Nikki came seven hundred and forty eight.
- 31:10Speaker 1: There were a bunch of people who just put in
- 31:12Speaker 1: some tips and then when I've run out of puff
- 31:14Speaker 1: and couldn't manage to make it all the way through,
- 31:16Speaker 1: so that and get a ranking. But yeah, we had
- 31:19Speaker 1: a lot of participation and it was super fun and
- 31:22Speaker 1: thank you all for participating.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Well, I do think we need to do our own
- 31:27Speaker 2: little one for finals though, going forward, guys.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Okay, all right, well we'll talk about that on Friday's outside. Hey,
- 31:33Speaker 1: I think now we're going to take a little break
- 31:35Speaker 1: and then come back and I've got some very interesting
- 31:38Speaker 1: conundrums for you both. Okay, well, welcome back. So we
- 31:55Speaker 1: have had I think there's something very interesting that happened
- 31:58Speaker 1: in the Facebook group last week. Bye our Golden Turkey
- 32:01Speaker 1: Award winner. And I think that there's some spectacular work
- 32:05Speaker 1: here from Nikki, and I think that there is some
- 32:08Speaker 1: interesting conundrums, and I'm going to put them to you, guys.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Instead of an ask the goat this weekend, I'm going
- 32:14Speaker 1: to ask both of you, and sometimes if it's relevant,
- 32:17Speaker 1: I might answer one, but I'm rarely Okay, would you rather? Ooh,
- 32:24Speaker 1: would you rather?
- 32:27Speaker 2: This?
- 32:28Speaker 1: One might just be for you, Catherine. Would you rather
- 32:31Speaker 1: be stuck playing center forever or goalkeeper forever?
- 32:34Speaker 3: Oh?
- 32:34Speaker 2: Goalkeeper, I can't run center. I'll have a heart attack
- 32:37Speaker 2: that forever. It would be like a day.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Okay, what happened to Catherine and she died of center?
- 32:43Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 32:47Speaker 1: Would you rather be stuck playing center forever? Or goal
- 32:50Speaker 1: shooter forever?
- 32:51Speaker 3: Oh? It really does depend on the division, because I
- 32:55Speaker 3: don't mind a bit of a gallop. But if I
- 32:57Speaker 3: had to play competitive, probably goal shooter.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Okay, she'd be on the bench because she wouldn't get
- 33:04Speaker 2: a shot. Sin.
- 33:05Speaker 3: No, that's right. I don't have a good enough lip.
- 33:07Speaker 3: I don't have good enough lip gloss. I don't have
- 33:09Speaker 3: a good enough I perform.
- 33:10Speaker 2: A PA game.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Okay. Would you rather spend a quarter in the sin
- 33:16Speaker 1: bin or have your shoelaces come undone every minute of
- 33:19Speaker 1: the game?
- 33:22Speaker 3: No quarter in the sin bin, Get it over and
- 33:24Speaker 3: done with, and then have forty five good minutes.
- 33:26Speaker 2: I'd gone buy some of those shoes the kids wear
- 33:28Speaker 2: with the velcro.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Gee.
- 33:32Speaker 2: You'd look special, more special than I already do.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Would you rather be miked up for the whole game
- 33:41Speaker 1: or have your team group chat read out loud.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Oh the whole game.
- 33:48Speaker 1: You'd rather be miked up.
- 33:49Speaker 3: I don't have enough money for a good deformation lawyer,
- 33:52Speaker 3: so best we go micd up for a game.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Do you know how much I would love to mic
- 33:56Speaker 2: up people sitting at home watching the netball?
- 33:59Speaker 1: Oh?
- 34:00Speaker 2: Love that, Just like an old school Roy and HG.
- 34:02Speaker 2: You know, they just take the piss out of it.
- 34:04Speaker 2: I would love to do that. The three of us
- 34:06Speaker 2: need to do that one day when we're not working.
- 34:08Speaker 2: It's just get the mics on, watch your top quality
- 34:10Speaker 2: game of netball and get it edited.
- 34:12Speaker 1: So one of the dribblers that last year's Grand Final
- 34:15Speaker 1: leave event, you know, we asked people to put questions
- 34:18Speaker 1: in the in the ice bucket, and then we pulled
- 34:21Speaker 1: them out and outs. There was a great one there,
- 34:23Speaker 1: which was a suggestion about getting you two and Cherrelle
- 34:29Speaker 1: on the piss watching some old games and commentating that.
- 34:33Speaker 1: And I thought that sounded very entertaining.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, all right.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Would you rather play a Grand Final with crocs on
- 34:41Speaker 1: or oven mits on.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Oven Mitz?
- 34:44Speaker 3: Yeah, other mits. When you goalkeeping, your elbows are more
- 34:47Speaker 3: important than your hands are.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Actually, the other mits would probably be quite helpful as
- 34:51Speaker 1: a goalkeeper, wouldn't it.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Oh dear, as long as they went those sillic and
- 34:57Speaker 3: things that look like crocodile classes. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, Rather.
- 35:02Speaker 1: So the ones that you might buy at the fate
- 35:04Speaker 1: that someone had made by hand. Yes, that would be.
- 35:07Speaker 3: Nice if you never committed in or crocheted in your
- 35:09Speaker 3: team colors even better?
- 35:11Speaker 1: Oh nice, very good? All right. Last one? Would you
- 35:16Speaker 1: rather lose by one goal or win because the other
- 35:18Speaker 1: team forgot the score?
- 35:19Speaker 4: Oh?
- 35:21Speaker 2: Shit, that nearly happened on the work it did.
- 35:22Speaker 1: There was a there was a TV goal. What's it
- 35:26Speaker 1: called score? That's Carolyn's it's called the score. Yeah, there
- 35:31Speaker 1: was a little bit.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Of a Oh no, win at all costs, so you
- 35:36Speaker 2: take I'd rather cheat one. I win, it's not our fault.
- 35:46Speaker 1: No, no, that's true, that's true.
- 35:48Speaker 3: No, I'd rather win by a goal it was lose
- 35:52Speaker 3: by No.
- 35:53Speaker 1: No, it's either losing by a goal or having the
- 35:55Speaker 1: win but knowing in your heart you didn't really win.
- 35:58Speaker 1: It was an administrative win.
- 36:00Speaker 3: I'm not that's I'm not an administrator. I am an administrator,
- 36:04Speaker 3: So that would be a disaster if I'd take my
- 36:06Speaker 3: administrator's hand off. And then yes, poor Nikki.
- 36:13Speaker 2: We haven't actually answered any of these properly with editions
- 36:17Speaker 2: of entry.
- 36:18Speaker 1: I'm not certain that the crocs and the oven mits
- 36:20Speaker 1: question indicates that this is an exercise you need to
- 36:23Speaker 1: take seriously.
- 36:24Speaker 3: No, but I think we should take seriously our total
- 36:26Speaker 3: lack of integrity, Catherine. This is a bit of an issue.
- 36:29Speaker 1: It's not that much of a problem for Catherine.
- 36:31Speaker 2: But I.
- 36:34Speaker 1: All right, would you rather that last one rather playing
- 36:37Speaker 1: pouring rain or forty degree heat?
- 36:40Speaker 2: Oh? Far out?
- 36:42Speaker 3: I was going to say, well, I played in pouring
- 36:43Speaker 3: rain on Saturday. Gave me an excuse to stop running, said,
- 36:46Speaker 3: I'm an old lady. I'll just stand her and yell
- 36:48Speaker 3: at people pouring rain. Pouring rain, you can deal with that.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Hot's hard coming down on the ball, though, and once
- 36:59Speaker 2: your high, you're hot, right, you're running around, you get hot.
- 37:02Speaker 2: This is yeah, I'm going to go the heat.
- 37:04Speaker 1: You're going to go and the heat. Liz is going
- 37:06Speaker 1: to go to go the rains.
- 37:07Speaker 3: But it's also nice when you get dry and you
- 37:09Speaker 3: know it's good and nipples a winter game.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I take the rain without the cold, though.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Sorry, princess, you don't get these options. The question is
- 37:23Speaker 1: written as it's written, it's rain of.
- 37:25Speaker 3: Heat, plain ballad of the Rain's warm up here, Oh dear.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Well, thank you, Nikki Dribblers. If you'd like to send
- 37:33Speaker 1: in any would you rather questions? I feel like this is,
- 37:36Speaker 1: this is undermined a deep vein of dodginess from you two.
- 37:44Speaker 1: That yes, so that is you know what, what a
- 37:47Speaker 1: stellar episode we've learnt the winner of the mallat Dribblers
- 37:50Speaker 1: tip in camp. We've learnt that win it all costs
- 37:53Speaker 1: is what these two will do. And we're back again
- 37:55Speaker 1: on Wednesday to talk more because there's still so much
- 37:59Speaker 1: network to talk about. On Caroline's Windows on.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Catcocks, I'm Lizella Spye.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Bye mm hm
