- 0:37Sean McAllister: And uh we have some celebrity sightings to follow up on a little later in the show, and we now know why those celebrities were here.
- 0:45Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 0:46Dayna Roselli: We love when we get all the follow-up details, you know?
- 0:48Dayna Roselli: It comes full circle.
- 0:50Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 0:50Dayna Roselli: Complete the story.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: Um, I'm a little jittery right now.
- 0:53Dayna Roselli: I had a lot of coffee today.
- 0:55Dayna Roselli: Two cups in the morning, and then I went over to Junior's at Resorts World and had a cold brew.
- 1:01Dayna Roselli: And now I'm like, uh you were just reading the intro to our podcast, and I was like reading the wrong lines and looking ahead, and I'm like, I'm ready to go.
- 1:11Sean McAllister: Listen, I just want to put it out there.
- 1:14Sean McAllister: When Roselli says that she's jittery, you never know what's gonna happen.
- 1:18Sean McAllister: So buckle up.
- 1:19Sean McAllister: We could be in for an interesting episode.
- 1:22Dayna Roselli: We sure could.
- 1:23Dayna Roselli: I need to cut down on my caffeine.
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: You know what it is?
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: I like the taste.
- 1:26Dayna Roselli: It's not even like I'm drinking it for the caffeine to wake up.
- 1:29Dayna Roselli: I just like a good cold brew.
- 1:31Dayna Roselli: I like a nice hot coffee in the morning.
- 1:33Sean McAllister: But would you drink decaffeinated coffee?
- 1:36Dayna Roselli: I mean, maybe, but I hear that's bad for your cholesterol.
- 1:38Sean McAllister: Really?
- 1:39Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 1:39Dayna Roselli: I used to have a boss that drank a lot of coffee at one of the TV stations, and I said that to him.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: He drank it all day, and he's like, I know I shouldn't.
- 1:47Dayna Roselli: And I said, Why don't you try decaf?
- 1:49Dayna Roselli: And he goes, Oh no, my doctor told me it's really bad for your cholesterol.
- 1:52Sean McAllister: The lack of caffeine is there's something in it.
- 1:55Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 1:55Dayna Roselli: I'm no doctor expert.
- 1:57Dayna Roselli: That's what he told me.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: And so I always just kind of went with it.
- 2:00Sean McAllister: Hey, well, if you're listening and you're a doctor or a nurse or you have medical uh training and you know the answer to this, we have a link down in our show notes where you can text us.
- 2:09Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 2:10Sean McAllister: So weigh in.
- 2:11Sean McAllister: Is decaf coffee bad for your cholesterol?
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 2:16Sean McAllister: We'll find out.
- 2:16Sean McAllister: Hopefully, our listeners come to the rescue.
- 2:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, go save us.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: Um, okay, we are gonna discuss Las Vegas Entertainment at my breakfast.
- 2:26Dayna Roselli: I was discussing uh entertainment with some friends that we're visiting, and they're going, what shows are in town?
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: What should we go see?
- 2:31Dayna Roselli: You know, are there any headliners?
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: And I was like, big headliners.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: And I was like, Well, you know, we have uh Corinne Leon in town for Mexican Independence Day, because they were like at the Backstreet Boys at the and then they're like, but what others?
- 2:43Dayna Roselli: Like, there's gotta be someone at the Coliseum.
- 2:44Dayna Roselli: And I was like, you know, I haven't heard and then I was like, Oh, I looked it up, Nikki Glacer and David Spade are here for good, yeah, Labor Day week.
- 2:51Dayna Roselli: That we're recording this just before Labor Day weekend.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: So anyway, um, but then we started talking about it, and I was like, but we've got all these, you know, what about this, this, and this?
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: And they're like, Well, you used to come in and there would always be like a staple show.
- 3:03Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, well, there are.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: We have, and then I went down the list.
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: I'm like, we've got Donnie Osman, Blue Man Group, Carrot Top, Absinthe, and MJ1 and Awakening right now.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: And then some people at the table were like, Oh, I've seen that, I've seen that, I've seen that.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: So if you frequent Vegas a lot, sometimes you've seen a lot of the shows and you're wondering who's coming in and who's coming out.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: Then I have some other friends coming in who are hoping to see one thing, and they're like, Well, they're not here this week because we have the revolving, you gotta kind of plan your trip about around who you want to see, instead of coming in and knowing that no matter what, so-and-so plays at blah blah blah continuously.
- 3:43Sean McAllister: Right.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: So all that's changed.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: We know that.
- 3:46Sean McAllister: The the residency model has definitely evolved from what we've expected.
- 3:52Sean McAllister: Like when Celine Dion was at the Coliseum, she was there for long stretches of time.
- 3:58Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 3:58Sean McAllister: And the residency thing has kind of turned more into uh repeat limited engagements.
- 4:05Sean McAllister: Yes, where it's just short stints at a venue rather than like I don't know, two months of shows.
- 4:14Sean McAllister: Right.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: And then a little break and then two more months.
- 4:18Dayna Roselli: So it's almost like you're not coming to Vegas to choose uh and then when you get here or before you leave, like, okay, let's see so-and-so, because you know they're gonna be there no matter what.
- 4:30Dayna Roselli: Instead, you're saying, let's see, I don't know, new kids on the block, they're there in October.
- 4:37Dayna Roselli: Okay, let's go to Vegas that week when they're there.
- 4:39Dayna Roselli: It's almost like you're building your trip around the act or singer or comedian you want to see that's in town at that time.
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: But then we have our staples too.
- 4:51Sean McAllister: We do, but for a lot of visitors, you're right.
- 4:54Sean McAllister: They are building their trip around a marquee entertainment experience, whether it's sphere or whether it is one of these big celebrity headliners at another property.
- 5:06Sean McAllister: Um, and people are going it seems as though people are going to see that show and then the entertainment spending is done.
- 5:15Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:15Sean McAllister: Because traditionally, uh Las Vegas visitors generally come to town for about four days is the average length of a Las Vegas trip.
- 5:24Sean McAllister: And uh the spending breakdown uh it comes out to about uh between eleven hundred and thirteen hundred dollars per person that people generally spend on a Las Vegas trip.
- 5:38Sean McAllister: But the entertainment, and these numbers are all coming from uh statistics that the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Bureau puts out uh annually, but uh people generally are only spending between sixty-five and a hundred and fifty dollars per person on shows and attractions, which I thought was really low.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: Well, because one show, if you go to the sphere, is over is is at least double that.
- 6:06Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 6:06Dayna Roselli: So interesting.
- 6:09Sean McAllister: So I don't know, and maybe this these statistics haven't factored in all of that yet, or maybe once you average uh the different entertainment experiences that we have, because people do come in and uh take advantage of entertainment at different price points.
- 6:25Sean McAllister: So maybe that's an average or maybe that's on the strip.
- 6:29Sean McAllister: It could be.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 6:31Sean McAllister: Bottom line, the entertainment scene is changing and evolving, and the way that people are consuming entertainment in Las Vegas is certainly changing, especially uh since we're in an environment where people are uncertain about their income and really watching what they spend.
- 6:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I was thinking, you know, we have so many huge shows at the sphere, it's such an experience, and it's so amazing that we have it.
- 6:58Dayna Roselli: But those tickets can be more expensive.
- 7:00Dayna Roselli: So I'm wondering if a lot of people are really putting all their eggs in one basket there.
- 7:04Dayna Roselli: Like we're going to see the Eagles, we're going to see the Backstreet Boys, you know, people are gonna be rushing in to see Metallica soon.
- 7:12Dayna Roselli: Um and it's a high price point.
- 7:14Dayna Roselli: And sometimes you have the urge, like, if I see them once, I might want to just see them again the next day and really throw your basket in.
- 7:21Dayna Roselli: You know, you know, fill your basket, I should say, with everything, the group or the band you want to see.
- 7:26Dayna Roselli: Um, but then I'm wondering, like you were saying, like, are they have it do they have any money left over to go see a couple more shows?
- 7:35Dayna Roselli: Maybe not.
- 7:36Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: Maybe it's more now let's walk the strip, now let's spend that money on a dinner one night, or maybe that's head so I don't know, but I think it's the way that people are juggling their money, is why we're seeing some changes.
- 7:49Sean McAllister: Although, uh Frankie Perez, who has uh who plays Thursday nights uh over at Treasure Island in the Masta Theater, uh Thursday is a night when Mastair is dark, um Frankie's doing a show with a $25 ticket price.
- 8:06Sean McAllister: I know.
- 8:06Sean McAllister: So that's the kind of thing that we need to see happening more often so that when people are done seeing their marquee entertainment experience, they have uh an entertainment offering at a really affordable price so that it's like a no-brainer, be like, oh my gosh, a $25 essentially a great concert experience.
- 8:30Sean McAllister: Great, I'll go.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: Because I mean Absinthe is amazing.
- 8:34Dayna Roselli: And I was actually looking at tickets um the other day, and it's it's not cheap to see Absinthe.
- 8:41Dayna Roselli: I mean, so even some of our marquee shows that are here all the time, it might be just like too much of an extra expense if you're coming in to see a sphere show.
- 8:48Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: You know what?
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: We don't want to spend another 200 to go see each and you know, or whatever it might be.
- 8:54Dayna Roselli: So I mean, I don't know if that's the reason, but you know, we have some amazing talent only in Las Vegas, and it's worth seeing these shows, but I don't know.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: We'll have to see how it kind of continues to evolve.
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: Awakening is closing at the win and Mad Apple's closing at New York, New York.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: I know they plan to replace those shows with other shows.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: So maybe I don't know, the creative minds are getting together and going to serve something up that maybe they feel people are really wanting or craving, a certain type of show or what they're seeing.
- 9:30Dayna Roselli: So it'll be interesting to see what kind of shows pop up there.
- 9:33Sean McAllister: And Menopause the Musical, a long-running show here in Las Vegas, is also closing.
- 9:39Sean McAllister: Uh and that's kind of comes on at the heels of uh the way that people are evolving the way that they uh, you know, take in the Las Vegas entertainment scene.
- 9:51Dayna Roselli: Well, like you mentioned, there is a link in our show notes where you can text us.
- 9:55Dayna Roselli: Um we we don't get your name or anything.
- 9:57Dayna Roselli: Um, but let us know if you like how you plan your Vegas trip.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: Do you book your show first and then you come?
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: Do you not plan to go to a show?
- 10:06Dayna Roselli: Are you getting here and then once you book your Vegas trip, are you then looking at shows and deciding which ones you want to see?
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: I would love to know people's thoughts that listen to our podcast.
- 10:17Sean McAllister: Yeah, that would be really interesting.
- 10:18Sean McAllister: Please uh click that show note and uh click the link in our show notes and and let us know because I think that is uh would be interesting to know how people are are planning their trips these days.
- 10:32Dayna Roselli: And if you want to be more detailed, because some people like to explain, you can always email us ideas at vegas-revealed.com as well.
- 10:41Dayna Roselli: We take emails as well.
- 10:42Dayna Roselli: All right, well, what else are we talking about today?
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: We got a lot to talk about.
- 10:46Dayna Roselli: We were gonna talk, oh yes, we went to the America restaurant and bar at New York, New York that just opened after a big transformation.
- 10:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, so this is uh uh the 24 hour, essentially the property's 24 hour cafe uh that has been there for nearly 30 years, ever since New York, New York opened its doors.
- 11:06Sean McAllister: And it's become a staple.
- 11:08Sean McAllister: If you stayed at New York, New York, chances are you've eaten at the America restaurant and bar.
- 11:14Sean McAllister: And there has been a transformation, and a lot of people have been asking, but are we going to get the same kind of experience and the same kind of food options that we've always had?
- 11:25Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:26Sean McAllister: And the donuts people are asking about.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: I know, I know.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: And you know, they wanted to know if that big United States map was still gonna be suspended in the air, and it is, but from the comments I'm seeing on social media, I guess it's a little different before there were different like state icons.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: This is has some projections on it and stuff.
- 11:44Sean McAllister: Yeah, they've done a whole projection mapping thing.
- 11:47Sean McAllister: So there's projection mapping on the map.
- 11:50Sean McAllister: So uh the the visuals up there change all the time.
- 11:55Sean McAllister: Sometimes there's a little scorpion running across the screen in the southwest states.
- 12:00Sean McAllister: Sometimes there's uh footballs that come across the screen and you can see where the different football cities are across the country.
- 12:07Sean McAllister: Uh same thing with hockey.
- 12:09Sean McAllister: So there's a bunch of different themes that it kind of goes through.
- 12:13Sean McAllister: Um, but it's entertaining as you're sitting down for a meal.
- 12:17Sean McAllister: Uh your visuals are just constantly evolving.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: It's a large restaurant.
- 12:22Dayna Roselli: They made it a lot brighter.
- 12:24Dayna Roselli: Um, and it's a big menu.
- 12:27Dayna Roselli: It is full service and 24 hours.
- 12:29Dayna Roselli: And like, we didn't really think about that.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: Like, I guess we don't have tons of 24-hour full service restaurants on the strip anymore.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: So this is one we had never been there.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: So we went to New York, New York.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: We talked to America's general manager, Johnny Palmer, and got all the details about the new transformation.
- 12:50Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So uh the restaurant uh actually opened up alongside New York, New York back in 1990, I think six, seven.
- 12:55Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So it's uh coming in up on 30 years right now.
- 12:57Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um the refresh was kind of just they they've done a couple of remodels over the course of that time.
- 13:02Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, so the refresh was kind of just trying to breathe fresh life, fresh energy into the space um and kind of bring it into the the you know the modern age.
- 13:11Dayna Roselli: Well, what changes can people expect if they've been here before, or maybe it's just new to everyone?
- 13:16Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: It is a complete overhaul from top to bottom.
- 13:19Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Literally, uh anybody that has visited here, and and surprisingly enough, there's a lot of people that have been coming here for decades, and they're like, it looks like a completely new restaurant.
- 13:26Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: We try to uh really kind of keep the essence of it with the obviously with the large map and everything like that, but we just wanted to kind of breathe some, like I said, some fresh energy into it, brighten it up, and really just kind of re-energize the place.
- 13:39Dayna Roselli: So talk about the theme, the America theme and the map.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: Like, so what are some of the things that make this unique?
- 13:45Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So uh the theme of it, I mean, it's just it's it's true blue, just it it caters to everybody, right?
- 13:51Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So the the new theme, it used to be red, white, and blue.
- 13:53Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: I got here and it was a lot of red, a lot of white, a lot of blue.
- 13:57Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um now it's more you got your pastels, you got your brighter colors.
- 14:00Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: It's really kind of paying homage to like the like the old school diners from back in like the 50s.
- 14:06Dayna Roselli: And so on the menu, it's is it your normal big menu with a lot of variety?
- 14:11Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Big menu, a lot of variety.
- 14:12Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, huge menu, actually.
- 14:14Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: We really tried to kind of like tailor it down.
- 14:16Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: It was a lot bigger before, um, but really we wanted to keep a little bit of everything.
- 14:20Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: We are the 24-hour cafe for the resort, um, as well as offering the room service food.
- 14:25Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: My kitchen does that as well.
- 14:26Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So we have to have a little bit of something for everybody.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: Now, it's rare to find, which is odd because Vegas is a 24-hour town, but it's rare to find something that's open 24 hours.
- 14:37Dayna Roselli: And so, how does it feel to be one of the only ones?
- 14:40Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Let me tell you, I grew up in this city.
- 14:41Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Everything was 24 hours before.
- 14:43Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, so for us to be one of the last really like 24-hour destinations, it's um it kind of says something now, right?
- 14:49Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: We we are available to anybody, whatever time of day, whether it's you know, you spent a night out, whether you're doing a staycation, whether you're here, like for a convention, whatever it is, we're readily available 24 hours a day.
- 15:00Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: And it's great because we can kind of cater to that uh that industry crowd, right?
- 15:04Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: For us people that work in the industry, we usually work long hours, we get out of here late.
- 15:08Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: There's not a lot of places left that are 24-hour spots that we can go to.
- 15:12Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So we're really trying to also cater to that crowd as well and capture them as kind of like that destination location where they can come somewhere after work and have something good to eat, you know, have some good vibes, you know, and just kind of unwind after you know everything that we do here.
- 15:25Dayna Roselli: We've got the music plan, it's a good vibe.
- 15:27Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Everything got the music plan, we got good people, we got people with smiles on their face, good drinks, good food.
- 15:32Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Can't really ask for much more.
- 15:34Dayna Roselli: Well, and I was gonna say you must have everything.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: I'm assuming breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails.
- 15:38Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Yeah, so we have breakfast 24 hours a day.
- 15:40Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, that's a question we get a lot, actually.
- 15:42Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So, yes, we have breakfast 24 hours a day.
- 15:44Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, you know, uh it's as far as the 24 hour menu.
- 15:49Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So we do have a late night specific menu, right?
- 15:51Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So we actually have some items on there that are not available 24 hours a day.
- 15:55Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Because again, we wanted to try and and capture that late night crowd of people of like, hey, this is something that you'll get exclusively if you'll come here late night.
- 16:02Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: But again, our late night menu also has a little bit of everything.
- 16:04Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: You have your breakfast items, you have your health items, you have your you know your dinner items.
- 16:08Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, some of like the classics that we have, right, are the New York state of mine, we have the steak and eggs, right?
- 16:14Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: We have we even have the fun stuff, like the three-pound pancake, right?
- 16:17Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Like it's which it's an undertaking, right?
- 16:19Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Be careful, don't try and do that on your own.
- 16:21Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, as far as like the cocktails and whatnot, though, again, it's America.
- 16:24Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: What's America known?
- 16:26Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Bigger is better, right?
- 16:27Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So we have the giant mimosa, um, we have the over-the-top um bloody Mary, which comes with like bacon and all these garnishes, right?
- 16:34Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: It's kind of like an appetizer with your drink and everything.
- 16:36Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So it's something that really kind of caters to everybody.
- 16:38Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: It depends on what it is you're looking for.
- 16:40Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: You want breakfast, and we have that breakfast.
- 16:42Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: If you're looking for a brunch and kind of want to have your mimosa and share it with the group, we have that as well.
- 16:47Dayna Roselli: That's cool.
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: Now, what's different about the map?
- 16:50Dayna Roselli: The map was always there, and it's it was it refurbished now?
- 16:53Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Yeah, so it's actually pretty much the same exact map.
- 16:55Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, really what we did is it used to be a bunch of like artifacts that kind of popped out, and each state had something that it was well known for, right?
- 17:02Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So um, like for Vegas, for instance, we had once we got the Raiders here, we put like a Raider sign on there.
- 17:06Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Once we got the Vegas Golden Knights, we had Vegas Golden Knights.
- 17:09Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, but what really what we did now is we kind of made it like a digital interactive style type map, right?
- 17:14Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, and as you can see on the map, as of right now, you see like the little scorpions, all that kind of stuff, right?
- 17:18Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um, but there's actually kind of a loop where before you used to, like I said, whatever you were known for, there was some sort of artifact pop-out for it.
- 17:27Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Um now there's a digital projection of that, right?
- 17:29Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So there's also, you know, you'll see there's like little, there's a road, there's little cars driving on the road, that kind of stuff, right?
- 17:35Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So we just we kind of wanted to make it more lively and kind of make it more of like a spectacle versus before, which I mean it is.
- 17:42Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: It's a you know, it's a giant map, right?
- 17:43Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: You know, um before it was more of a topographical map, but now it's more of like a brought it into like the 2026 era.
- 17:49Dayna Roselli: Happy hour is so popular.
- 17:51Dayna Roselli: Talk about the happy hour that you guys do.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: You said twice a day?
- 17:53Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Yeah, so our happy hour is a little uh untraditional, right?
- 17:57Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So we actually it's catered towards um first responders and military, right?
- 18:01Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So we call it our hero happy hour.
- 18:03Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: We do it from 3 p.m.
- 18:04Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: to 6 p.m.
- 18:05Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: and then we do it again from 3 a.m.
- 18:06Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: to 6 a.m., right?
- 18:07Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Again, kind of playing into the 24-hour you know concept that we are.
- 18:11Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: Uh we really want to kind of pay our respects and show um our gratitude to first responders, military, right?
- 18:18Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So we get a lot of that here in the restaurant.
- 18:20Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: So one of the things that we do is we invite them back for the hero happy hour.
- 18:23Johnny Palmer, America General Manager: It offers discounts on um beverages and on food too.
- 18:27Sean McAllister: And I thought it was really interesting that America Bar and Grill also serves as the room service kitchen for all of New York, New York.
- 18:37Sean McAllister: Because it's a 24-hour restaurant, 24-hour room service, which also is something that you don't get all the time anymore.
- 18:45Sean McAllister: True.
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: It was nice.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: And even going to New York, New York, I was like, you know what, this is a nice hotel.
- 18:50Dayna Roselli: We had fun walking through the streets there.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: I mean, it really is cool.
- 18:55Sean McAllister: And we pulled in, uh, we pulled into Valet, and it was easy to get in and out of there too.
- 19:00Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 19:00Sean McAllister: But even for the parking garage, right?
- 19:02Sean McAllister: Like it's easy in, easy out.
- 19:05Dayna Roselli: The roller coaster was going, people were screaming.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: That was fun.
- 19:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I was like, you know what, this is this is a good spot.
- 19:12Dayna Roselli: So we had so a good time over there.
- 19:14Dayna Roselli: If you want to see it and want to see some visuals, you can always go to our YouTube or any of our social media pages.
- 19:19Dayna Roselli: Uh, we did post a video on there.
- 19:21Dayna Roselli: I think we had the story coming up soon in the TV show, but not quite yet.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: But I did put a little YouTube short up there to show the inside.
- 19:29Sean McAllister: All right.
- 19:30Sean McAllister: Well, speaking of food, there are some uh new food options over at Allegiance Stadium as we are officially kicking off the new NFL season.
- 19:40Sean McAllister: Of course, we have Fernando Mendoza, the new quarterback, the first round draft pick for the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 19:46Sean McAllister: Uh, he's kind of being mentored by Kirk Cousins, who's gonna be our starting quarterback.
- 19:52Sean McAllister: We have a new coach.
- 19:53Dayna Roselli: And uh I feel like people are pressuring Mendoza.
- 19:56Dayna Roselli: We don't expect a lot from him.
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: I get it, but I'm like, he's young, leave him alone.
- 20:00Sean McAllister: He is young, and there is a lot of pressure on him.
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 20:04Sean McAllister: Um but I think especially for this season, even uh Las Vegas sportsbooks are uh anticipating that uh the Raiders will have about five and a half wins this season.
- 20:17Sean McAllister: Um so it is a transition year, it is a rebuilding year with new quarterbacks, a new coach.
- 20:24Sean McAllister: Like there's a lot of stuff that needs to really gel to get really firing on all cylinders.
- 20:32Dayna Roselli: Right, right.
- 20:32Dayna Roselli: Um, and no matter what, we have people come here from all over because they like to come to Allegiant Stadium.
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: They like to experience our new indoor stadium, state of the art.
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: We say new, it's been a while now, 2020, right?
- 20:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so I mean, um, but uh feels new.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: It's one of the newer stadiums out there, and people come from all over just to experience it and go to a Raiders game.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: Whether whether you're a Raiders fan or you're the opposing teams fan, we welcome everyone.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: And you know what?
- 21:01Dayna Roselli: Because of that, they have some amazing food at Allegiant Stadium.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: We are really known for our culinary.
- 21:07Dayna Roselli: And so JJ Snyder, she does a segment in our TV show called The Insider Dish.
- 21:11Dayna Roselli: And we sent her over there, and we joined her too, to check out some of the different foods and talk with the top-of-the-line chefs and folks in the culinary over at Allegiant Stadium about what they're offering this year.
- 21:25JJ Snyder: This week, the Las Vegas Raiders kick off a new season.
- 21:28JJ Snyder: And next Sunday, they take on the Miami Dolphins here at Allegiance Stadium.
- 21:33JJ Snyder: And there's a lot of reason to be optimistic for Raider Nation.
- 21:36JJ Snyder: We have a new coach, a new look offense, and a potential franchise quarterback in first round draft pick, Fernando Mendoza.
- 21:44JJ Snyder: While the team has been updating their playbook, the food and beverage team has been updating the menu.
- 21:51JJ Snyder: What is new to eat and drink inside the stadium this season?
- 21:56Speaker 1: Yeah, so you know, this year we got a lot of new items.
- 21:58Speaker 1: We really kind of overhauled our entire main.
- 21:59Speaker 1: New in both premium and concessions, so uh a lot of fun stuff.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Uh, here in the premium setting, you can expect to see things like A5 Wagyu Tomahawks.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Um, we've also got an upgraded option to the tomahawk package.
- 22:11Speaker 1: It's gonna be a caviar ice service that's gonna be Golden Ocetra Caviar featured in a Raiders ice sculpture, comes with bellinis, you know, chopped eggs, all the traditional accompaniments, and uh just really fun stuff.
- 22:22JJ Snyder: You know where I'm making my way down to the hot dogs.
- 22:26JJ Snyder: I'm a dog girl.
- 22:29JJ Snyder: Now, much like the Las Vegas Raiders, this dog came from California.
- 22:33JJ Snyder: This is the Cali dog.
- 22:35JJ Snyder: Tell me all about this beauty.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Right?
- 22:37Speaker 1: So, I mean, if you've been to any, you know, sporting event in California, I'm sure you've got you've left and you've seen the hot dog carts out there, the bacon wrap dogs, you know, the ketchup, mustard, mayo.
- 22:46Speaker 1: We gotta serano up there for uh garnish.
- 22:48Speaker 1: So it's kind of our you know ode and homage to uh, you know, when the Raiders were in that in LA.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Um, so very exciting.
- 22:54JJ Snyder: So come on, let's check out dessert.
- 22:56JJ Snyder: Okay, Dylan full confession.
- 22:58JJ Snyder: I have a sweet tooth.
- 23:00JJ Snyder: So this is for me.
- 23:01JJ Snyder: What do we have for dessert?
- 23:03Speaker 1: So this is gonna be our dessert cart.
- 23:04Speaker 1: This is located up in our sweet areas all in-house pastries.
- 23:08Speaker 1: We have twist on a caramel apple up here.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Uh so we got silver and black, we got some s'mores marshmallows, you know, our executive pastry chef, she does a phenomenal job coming up with these concepts.
- 23:17Speaker 1: We have these strawberry cream crumps, you know, present really nice, the kids love them.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Um, and then another one of my favorites are the Raiders macarons.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Again, made in-house by our pastry team and something that uh is really just kind of customized and unique to our stadium.
- 23:31JJ Snyder: Dylan, is it official?
- 23:32JJ Snyder: Is it really macaron and not macaron?
- 23:35Speaker 1: It's yeah, it's macaron.
- 23:37Speaker 1: So it's official.
- 23:38JJ Snyder: Macaron.
- 23:38JJ Snyder: Okay.
- 23:39JJ Snyder: If you love Dubai chocolate, then you're gonna want to know about the Dubai cookie cone here, Inside Allegiant.
- 23:47JJ Snyder: Here it is.
- 23:48JJ Snyder: A little drizzle.
- 23:50JJ Snyder: Available now.
- 23:53JJ Snyder: Inside Allegiant.
- 23:55JJ Snyder: Brittany, executive pastry chef.
- 23:58JJ Snyder: Did I not drizzle like a pro?
- 24:00JJ Snyder: Perfect.
- 24:00JJ Snyder: Absolutely perfect.
- 24:01JJ Snyder: Perfect drizzle.
- 24:04Dayna Roselli: And that was in our TV show this weekend.
- 24:06Dayna Roselli: So you can officially watch this week's show if you want to see some visuals.
- 24:09Dayna Roselli: Uh, go to our YouTube page, our Vegas Revealed YouTube page.
- 24:12Dayna Roselli: We're easy to find and watch this week's show, and you'll see JJ's story as well if you want to see what those sandwiches look like.
- 24:20Dayna Roselli: That huge hot dog.
- 24:21Dayna Roselli: The what Dubai chocolate cone.
- 24:24Sean McAllister: I was just gonna say, JJ puts the finishing touches on the Dubai chocolate cookie cone.
- 24:29Dayna Roselli: Looks good, man.
- 24:30Sean McAllister: It does.
- 24:30Sean McAllister: It look I was ready to just dig in.
- 24:33Sean McAllister: Plus the tomahawk steaks that they had over there.
- 24:36Sean McAllister: I mean, the steak and caviar.
- 24:38Sean McAllister: It's not your traditional stadium.
- 24:40Sean McAllister: There is your traditional stadium food, but there are some really high-end offerings also.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: I know, really good.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: And they even have things as simple as Taco Bell.
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: Um, and they had the Mendoza special too.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: You know, it was like the chicken fingers with uh fries or chips, chips and cheese.
- 24:56Dayna Roselli: I was like, oh, this all looks good.
- 24:58Sean McAllister: So smart.
- 24:58Dayna Roselli: I've got everything over there.
- 24:59Dayna Roselli: Hey, the tailgates are back too.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: The confirmed 360 uh masquerade tailgates are right there in the parking lot, and you don't have to go to a Raiders game to take part in this.
- 25:11Dayna Roselli: So if that's something maybe you're a Raiders fan, you want to go take part in the Tailgate, you can.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: You can get tickets at RaidersExperiences.com, get more information on that.
- 25:21Dayna Roselli: Um, they have all they have a stylish lounge there.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: Uh op they have open bar packages, all inclusive food.
- 25:28Dayna Roselli: Um, if you get your ticket inside, live music, raffles.
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: We went once, it was really, really fun.
- 25:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, I can't wait to go back again because it is uh it's a great time over there.
- 25:39Sean McAllister: They have like the air conditioned trailers, they have the TVs going with the uh games playing that are leading up to uh the Raiders game inside.
- 25:48Sean McAllister: So it's a great way to uh spend the morning or spend the pregame out there just outside of Allegiant Stadium.
- 25:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and our weather in the fall is perfect.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: Nice and it's it's a little warm, but not too warm.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: It's just perfect.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: All right, let's do some celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 26:10Sean McAllister: All right, we're gonna kick off celebrity news with a Vegas twist with some show updates.
- 26:14Sean McAllister: Boys to Men are coming back to Las Vegas, uh performing at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan.
- 26:21Sean McAllister: Uh they're coming back March 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th.
- 26:26Sean McAllister: Of course, that's in the new year.
- 26:27Sean McAllister: Those shows start at 8 p.m.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I guess their last run was super popular, so they're coming back.
- 26:32Dayna Roselli: And Debbie Gibson is bringing some pop nostalgia and holiday spirit to the stage uh in December.
- 26:39Dayna Roselli: She's gonna be over at the Strat for a bunch of shows.
- 26:43Dayna Roselli: And Debbie just is the holidays, I feel like.
- 26:45Dayna Roselli: She is.
- 26:46Sean McAllister: I mean, she already has a holiday album out called Winterlicious.
- 26:50Sean McAllister: Right.
- 26:51Dayna Roselli: And so I know you love it too.
- 26:53Dayna Roselli: You play it all the time.
- 26:54Dayna Roselli: I like it too.
- 26:55Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's a great holiday album.
- 26:56Dayna Roselli: So she's gonna mix in some holiday favorites with signature hits that she has.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: Of course, you're gonna hear her hits, and then some new music from her upcoming Winterlicious Deluxe album that she's launching.
- 27:09Dayna Roselli: So there are five chances to see Debbie December 17th through the 20th, including an afternoon matinee on the 19th.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: And tickets for that are on sale now.
- 27:18Sean McAllister: That one's gonna be great.
- 27:19Sean McAllister: Looking forward to that.
- 27:20Sean McAllister: Hey, uh, last week we mentioned a celebrity sighting that we wanted to follow up on because we got new details.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: Oscar Isaac.
- 27:28Dayna Roselli: Remember, we talked about him eating at Gymkana?
- 27:30Dayna Roselli: Um, well, then I saw this and I was like, oh, that's why he's in town.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: So so he's a popular actor and he's in town shooting The Roman for Netflix.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: Um, this is gonna be an eight-episode drama, apparently, set inside the high-stakes world of modern Las Vegas and the casino business.
- 27:49Dayna Roselli: So uh other people in it include uh Alec Baldwin, uh Kate Mara, and many others.
- 27:55Dayna Roselli: Um this is uh Martin Scorsese, excuse me, executive producing.
- 28:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, so if Martin Scorsese is uh has any involvement with it, you know it's gonna be good.
- 28:09Sean McAllister: And with a name like The Roman, I have a feeling that it's probably uh loosely based on Caesar's Palace.
- 28:16Sean McAllister: It could be, yeah.
- 28:16Sean McAllister: I'm guessing.
- 28:17Sean McAllister: Right.
- 28:18Sean McAllister: Uh but it makes sense.
- 28:20Dayna Roselli: So, yeah, because Oscar Isaac stars as Robert Bobby Redman, um president of one of the city's hottest hotel casinos.
- 28:29Dayna Roselli: And so it should be good.
- 28:30Dayna Roselli: I love casino.
- 28:31Dayna Roselli: I mean, we just love you know Vegas-based shows.
- 28:34Sean McAllister: We do.
- 28:34Sean McAllister: And I love when they actually come here to film those shows.
- 28:39Sean McAllister: Right.
- 28:40Sean McAllister: And not just on a sound stage but somewhere else in the world.
- 28:43Dayna Roselli: Right, exactly.
- 28:44Dayna Roselli: Um we've got to rush off to a shoot.
- 28:46Dayna Roselli: We're not gonna say what it is, because have you noticed, Sean, lately?
- 28:49Dayna Roselli: Everything we do, other entertainment entities all across Las Vegas are taking our ideas and doing it after we do it.
- 28:55Dayna Roselli: Uh it's everything we do.
- 28:58Dayna Roselli: So we you know, we take that as a compliment.
- 29:00Dayna Roselli: But it is kind of funny lately.
- 29:03Dayna Roselli: We're like, you know, things that we haven't actually got press releases on, things we're coming up with at the top of our head, like, let's go do something on this, and then we're like seeing it everywhere.
- 29:11Dayna Roselli: So, you know what?
- 29:12Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna keep quiet on this one because the attraction we're about to go do, I feel like a lot of people don't know about.
- 29:18Dayna Roselli: That's what you and I try to focus on.
- 29:20Dayna Roselli: Things that people might not know about, some of the popular ones, too.
- 29:24Dayna Roselli: And so um, we're gonna go and we're not gonna tell you what it is, and you'll find out about it soon.
- 29:30Sean McAllister: Have a great stay tuned to Vegas Reveal.
- 29:33Dayna Roselli: Have a good one.
