- 1:26Speaker 2: The East Coast, and here we are headed to our
- 1:30Speaker 2: third month with what I personally believe to be the
- 1:34Speaker 2: worst president the United States has ever elected and elected
- 1:39Speaker 2: depending on how you see it, but either way, welcoming
- 1:43Speaker 2: you to a new week here on WRTR Real Talk Radio.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Thanks one and all for joining us again. My name
- 1:49Speaker 2: is Miss Lyric Evado.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Is it it is?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Well?
- 1:53Speaker 1: I can't say I'm macking smoke because I don't have
- 1:55Speaker 1: the tools. I am man, I am the real missus right,
- 2:05Speaker 1: how I got it?
- 2:08Speaker 2: You're looking good, You're looking good, You're looking happy.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I haven't talked to you all week.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I feel like there, Yes, but it's been a wild
- 2:17Speaker 1: beginning of the week for me. Gotcha, I had to
- 2:21Speaker 1: experience some thievery.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Ah. Well, I didn't see, but somebody forwarded me your
- 2:29Speaker 2: Facebook post and said this Lyric all right, And I said,
- 2:33Speaker 2: I asked, huh was it?
- 2:35Speaker 1: Mama Smooth?
- 2:36Speaker 4: It was.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I knew it. She was not happy about me saying that.
- 2:45Speaker 2: But yeah, no, I don't be trying to tell people business.
- 2:48Speaker 2: So if I'm gonna tell anybody, I'm gonna tell Mama
- 2:51Speaker 2: Smooth because that lady is a vault.
- 2:53Speaker 3: She ain't gonna say nothing.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, it pissed me off because I'm like, you
- 3:01Speaker 1: went through all of that just to get caught your card.
- 3:05Speaker 1: First of all, there's cameras now drove all the way
- 3:07Speaker 1: to an Arundo County to the CBS where this guy
- 3:12Speaker 1: decided to, I guess, make a copy of my card
- 3:15Speaker 1: and take all of my money.
- 3:17Speaker 3: That is so strange that people can do that.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yeah, there's machines. You can have the system to get
- 3:23Speaker 1: information out, and like it's so much stuff. It's like
- 3:26Speaker 1: money is really not safe on your card, even unless
- 3:29Speaker 1: you have it locked, which I didn't think I had to,
- 3:32Speaker 1: but apparently I gotta lock up everything. But as soon
- 3:36Speaker 1: as you walk into CBS cameras right there you can
- 3:39Speaker 1: see the you can see the ATM that he used,
- 3:44Speaker 1: but also the particular ATM that he used. Dummy, got
- 3:49Speaker 1: cameras on it. Stupid you idiot, And he didn't cover
- 3:54Speaker 1: his face, so I don't know, and he was like,
- 4:02Speaker 1: don't even worry about it because I got you. Basically,
- 4:05Speaker 1: he was like, the CBS camera was a little blurry. However,
- 4:09Speaker 1: once I get that ATM footage, it's a rap for him.
- 4:12Speaker 1: So you did all that for what, You're going to jail,
- 4:15Speaker 1: Stara pressing full chargers because anything over toy you're going
- 4:19Speaker 1: to jail. Institution of Justice.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Yeah, now you know what I feel you. I totally
- 4:29Speaker 3: feel you.
- 4:29Speaker 2: But I think that we are we should prepare to
- 4:32Speaker 2: be honest because this kind of shit is just the beginning.
- 4:36Speaker 2: It's going to be so much more because people are
- 4:41Speaker 2: increasingly more and more desperate.
- 4:44Speaker 1: This you think it's desperate. I think a lot of
- 4:46Speaker 1: some people are desperate. But there's a lot of people
- 4:48Speaker 1: that are greedy and they take advantage of certain things
- 4:52Speaker 1: and they rob people who really need their money. It's real.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm tired of these scammers. If y'all don't want to
- 4:58Speaker 1: get a real job or do what y'all need to do,
- 5:00Speaker 1: you to get whatever y'all need, that's your business, but
- 5:02Speaker 1: don't take from people who really need. And that's my problem. Yeah,
- 5:08Speaker 1: about it later, Please believe it, right, Okay, Well that's
- 5:13Speaker 1: your move.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Well I am in a goofy mood.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 3: We talked about life.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Too, but I mean people can still get dragged and
- 5:32Speaker 1: I smile while I'm doing it. That sounds a little crazy,
- 5:34Speaker 1: but I don't care like this. These are the times
- 5:37Speaker 1: that we're in.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Now, you know what that I get it.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I never like to see anybody in a position to
- 5:45Speaker 2: where they have to revert to stealing from anybody, because
- 5:51Speaker 2: the simple fact is that, yeah, there's greed out here,
- 5:55Speaker 2: but I don't know. The empathy part of me makes
- 5:59Speaker 2: me look a little bit beyond the surface of it.
- 6:02Speaker 2: And the fact is there's plenty out here to where
- 6:05Speaker 2: nobody should be stealing.
- 6:07Speaker 3: So why are we Why are we doing that?
- 6:09Speaker 1: I ain't got no empathy because you ain't have any
- 6:11Speaker 1: empathy for my fucking children. That is, if it was
- 6:18Speaker 1: just me, I'll eat that. But you stole out of
- 6:21Speaker 1: the mouths of my kids. So now you got to
- 6:23Speaker 1: me if I ever see you in the streets like
- 6:25Speaker 1: you got lucky. The CVS manager didn't get to send
- 6:29Speaker 1: me that picture like she wanted to. Originally, Oh, I.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Was gonna ask if you saw it, But then I thought,
- 6:36Speaker 2: why would you?
- 6:37Speaker 3: Why would you have saying that?
- 6:38Speaker 1: Well, she she said, before the cop got that, she
- 6:41Speaker 1: was like, well, I'm gonna go review the cameras and
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna slide this to your phone. Yeah, but then
- 6:48Speaker 1: the cop had to throw salt on it with liability
- 6:52Speaker 1: if anything happened. I ain't gonna kill the man. I'm
- 6:55Speaker 1: just gonna have to ask. You know what I'm saying.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I don't he don't do that shit to somebody else.
- 7:01Speaker 1: But you know it didn't happen. He'll still get what's
- 7:04Speaker 1: coming to him though.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Work about it. Okay.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Oh, I hate to ask you to switch up the energy,
- 7:12Speaker 2: but to figure out that you wanted to be like
- 7:14Speaker 2: when you grew up this week.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Well, I don't mind. I don't mind at all. I
- 7:20Speaker 1: actually have someone good, a black man who was about
- 7:24Speaker 1: his business.
- 7:25Speaker 3: And are we talking about core or no?
- 7:29Speaker 5: No love?
- 7:30Speaker 3: Go ahead.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So my person that I picked, his name is Graylen
- 7:37Speaker 1: Anthony and if I worked for Amazon in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- 7:44Speaker 1: He decided to donate his full bonus check of ten
- 7:48Speaker 1: thousand dollars to Levine's Children's Hospital.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Wow.
- 7:55Speaker 1: So A few years ago, Amazon launched Alexa Think My
- 7:58Speaker 1: Driver program, allowing customers to express gratitude to their delivery
- 8:02Speaker 1: drivers and for everything you received through the Alexa enabled device,
- 8:08Speaker 1: provided a five dollar tip to the respective driver. This
- 8:11Speaker 1: initiative aim to recognize and reward drivers for their dedication
- 8:15Speaker 1: and hard work. Among the top five drivers who received
- 8:19Speaker 1: the most thank yous this one of them was grayln
- 8:23Speaker 1: Anthony and an acknowledgment of his exceptional service, they gave
- 8:29Speaker 1: him that ten thousand dollar bonus. So that's a lot
- 8:32Speaker 1: of five dollars. He must have been there brusting his
- 8:35Speaker 1: ass and been on his shit.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Well there's somebody that worked for UPS for seventeen goddamn years.
- 8:40Speaker 2: So you you really, you pick up when they actually
- 8:45Speaker 2: run your numbers of how many packages you deliver a day,
- 8:48Speaker 2: a week, a month, a year, and then some Yeah,
- 8:52Speaker 2: it gets up there in those numbers.
- 8:54Speaker 3: So I see it. I can see how it happened.
- 8:57Speaker 1: So he didn't just do a little bit of it
- 9:00Speaker 1: that he did the entire sum work, and his contribution
- 9:04Speaker 1: was intended to support the hospital and purchase and essential
- 9:07Speaker 1: medical supplies and providing care for pediatric patients. So that's
- 9:12Speaker 1: who I would say I would want to be when
- 9:14Speaker 1: I grow up.
- 9:15Speaker 3: That isn't fired. Yes, work all right, well, black Man
- 9:20Speaker 3: and Winter. Because I mentioned before, of course, with the political.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Climate as heavy and life altering as it is right now,
- 9:30Speaker 2: it shouldn't be a shock that my ears perked.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Up this week for Senator Corey Booker.
- 9:35Speaker 2: So lately it seems like everybody has had this attitude,
- 9:39Speaker 2: where are the Democrats, What are they doing? Why aren't
- 9:42Speaker 2: they stopping Trump and his minions? Which I mean why
- 9:46Speaker 2: because the Republicans are literally the majority in every one
- 9:51Speaker 2: of the three branches of American government.
- 9:53Speaker 3: But we asked for somebody to do something, and he
- 9:56Speaker 3: did something. Did you see the speech?
- 10:00Speaker 2: I mean, like, I mean, it was twenty five hours long,
- 10:03Speaker 2: So maybe we watched every moment, but maybe you saw
- 10:06Speaker 2: the highlight.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I didn't watch any of it.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Okay, So all right, when I grow up, I want
- 10:13Speaker 2: to be like Senator Cory Booker. So his groundbreaking speech
- 10:17Speaker 2: in the Senate was not only a display of his
- 10:19Speaker 2: unwaivering commitment to justice, but also a powerful reminder of
- 10:25Speaker 2: the impact that just one person can have on the
- 10:29Speaker 2: entire national dialogue. He spoke for over it was like
- 10:35Speaker 2: twenty five hours. In twenty five minutes on Monday evening,
- 10:40Speaker 2: he stood on the Senate floor. He began, uh, he
- 10:44Speaker 2: began a speech that criticized the Trump administration. He's fifty
- 10:49Speaker 2: five year old Democrat from New Jersey. And when I
- 10:54Speaker 2: tell you that man kept talking and talking and talking
- 11:00Speaker 2: through the night on to the next day, twenty five hours,
- 11:05Speaker 2: twenty five minutes. He did not sit, he didn't eat,
- 11:08Speaker 2: he didn't shit, he didn't piss. He started his speech
- 11:13Speaker 2: at seven pm on Monday and pledged to use his
- 11:17Speaker 2: time to disrupt quote the normal business of the United
- 11:22Speaker 2: States Senate for as long as I am physically.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Able end quote.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Damn.
- 11:28Speaker 2: He also said, and I quote, in just seventy one days,
- 11:32Speaker 2: the president has inflicted harm after harm on American's safety,
- 11:38Speaker 2: financial stability, the foundations of our democracy. In any sense
- 11:42Speaker 2: of common decency, these are not normal times in our
- 11:47Speaker 2: nation and they should not be treated as such in
- 11:50Speaker 2: the United States Senate.
- 11:53Speaker 3: End quote.
- 11:55Speaker 2: That's crazy, listen crazy, But nah, his approach.
- 12:01Speaker 3: It reminds me as a black man.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I admire his ability to articulate the struggles of communities
- 12:12Speaker 2: with such empathy and clarity. He shared personal stories, He
- 12:17Speaker 2: shared memories, even letters from his constituents that highlighted like
- 12:22Speaker 2: just the devastating shit that people are going through right now,
- 12:26Speaker 2: and mass incarceration, shedding light on the systemic racism, all
- 12:32Speaker 2: of the shit that we talk about in our or
- 12:34Speaker 2: two hour increments on our show and the countless other
- 12:39Speaker 2: podcast out here. This is what he did in twenty
- 12:43Speaker 2: five hours, NonStop, just giving everything back to the Republicans.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Not one of them challenged him that entire twenty five hours.
- 12:55Speaker 3: And how could you? How could you? Because they're going.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Through the same shit exact.
- 13:01Speaker 3: That's why y'all are running around. Y'all are hiding from people.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It didn't affect just one party. Everybody is feeling the
- 13:11Speaker 1: result of the decision that was made to have this
- 13:14Speaker 1: man be the president of the United States. Unfortunately yep.
- 13:20Speaker 2: But to that black man, his approach, he reminded me
- 13:24Speaker 2: the essential to fight for change while uplifting people around you,
- 13:29Speaker 2: because in a world that often feels divided, Cory Booker
- 13:34Speaker 2: and that ability to bridge gaps and connect with people
- 13:38Speaker 2: from like all walks of life. It shows the importance
- 13:41Speaker 2: of compassion, It shows the importance of understanding.
- 13:44Speaker 3: It shows why you need diversity.
- 13:48Speaker 2: There are so many stories that we don't hear and
- 13:51Speaker 2: don't know what's going on. Even as diverse as we
- 13:55Speaker 2: are as black people and welcoming and all of that shit,
- 13:59Speaker 2: we still set the standard and we we.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Love everybody equally.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Yeah, some of y'all more than others because white people,
- 14:08Speaker 2: y'all be wild.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Anyways, that's what I want to be.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I like when I grow up.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Uh, I guess up next.
- 14:17Speaker 2: If it were lyrics, you ready for some questions?
- 14:22Speaker 1: Yes, I am all right.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Well, while you do that, we're gonna let them listen
- 14:29Speaker 2: to this.
- 14:29Speaker 3: We'll be right back.
- 14:30Speaker 6: Okay. I want to take a moment to say thank
- 14:32Speaker 6: you to Donald Trump, not out of praise, but out
- 14:35Speaker 6: of truth. Because while you ripped through every part of
- 14:38Speaker 6: this government, tearing down justice, equality and fairness under the
- 14:42Speaker 6: fake excuse of fighting d EI fraud, what you're really
- 14:46Speaker 6: doing is confirming with black folks have been saying for generations,
- 14:50Speaker 6: America was built on racism fueled by fear, is sustained
- 14:54Speaker 6: by white supremacy.
- 14:55Speaker 4: You've exposed it.
- 14:56Speaker 6: All the masks are off, the polite racism, the fake allieship,
- 15:01Speaker 6: the colorblind lies, it's all gone now we see it
- 15:05Speaker 6: raw and unfiltered. You're not just targeting policy, You're targeting people,
- 15:11Speaker 6: black people, brown people, marginalized communities in the wild part.
- 15:15Speaker 6: We make up the smallest portion of this country, yet
- 15:18Speaker 6: somehow we are the biggest threat to delie that white
- 15:22Speaker 6: supremacy built that should tell you everything. You're afraid not
- 15:27Speaker 6: of violence, not of replacement, but of the power we
- 15:30Speaker 6: hold even when we have nothing. You see the way
- 15:34Speaker 6: our culture, our brilliance, our resilience, our excellence continues to
- 15:39Speaker 6: shape this country even when it tries to erase us.
- 15:42Speaker 6: Donald Trump is just the loudest version of a system
- 15:45Speaker 6: that's always been in place. He is the living, breathing
- 15:49Speaker 6: proof that this country was never designed with us in mind,
- 15:53Speaker 6: and yet we continue to define it. So thank you
- 15:57Speaker 6: Donald for exposing with so many tried to deny, for
- 16:00Speaker 6: showing the world that the fear of black greatness is real,
- 16:04Speaker 6: for proving that racism isn't in our imagination, It's in
- 16:07Speaker 6: the fabric of this nation. And to my people, we
- 16:11Speaker 6: don't have to fight to prove our worth. He's doing
- 16:14Speaker 6: that for us. All we have to do is stand firm,
- 16:17Speaker 6: stay awake, and know that the truth is finally louder
- 16:21Speaker 6: than the lie. We are not broken, We are not
- 16:24Speaker 6: the problem. We are the evidence of the power that
- 16:27Speaker 6: this country can contain. Let that truth ring louder than
- 16:31Speaker 6: its hate.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Maybe what you should do, but definitely she would.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Hey, you guys, it's your girl, miss Lyric, and I'm
- 16:42Speaker 1: back with my segment if it were Lyric, where I
- 16:45Speaker 1: give my advice to you guys's stories and questions about
- 16:49Speaker 1: your relationships, situationships, friendships, and everything in between. If you
- 16:54Speaker 1: want to continue to send me your advice, questions and stories,
- 16:59Speaker 1: please send them to Lyric Bravado at gmail dot com.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Now let's get into it all right in a while.
- 17:08Speaker 3: And you want to go first.
- 17:09Speaker 1: On me, yeah, I can go first.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Work.
- 17:12Speaker 1: See this one is from Bethany. All right, Bethany says, Hey, Lyric,
- 17:24Speaker 1: I have an issue. My boyfriend carelessly revealed a good
- 17:28Speaker 1: morning X rated text he sent to a coworker. N
- 17:33Speaker 1: This is what it said. This is what it said.
- 17:36Speaker 1: She said to him, I wish we had disappearing messages
- 17:41Speaker 1: and he had laugh emojis, and then I saw a
- 17:45Speaker 1: picture of her Mio mio. Se they've talked about how
- 17:54Speaker 1: I may have poisoned his food, so clearly, he told her,
- 17:58Speaker 1: I've been crazy, I have it. Why the fuck would
- 18:01Speaker 1: she think that? The whole story is nuts to me?
- 18:04Speaker 1: To be honest, I can't even type it out right now.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I feel like I'm going to puke. Today has been
- 18:10Speaker 1: tough I've given him everything. My dad gave him his
- 18:14Speaker 1: first music industry job.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Okay, I'm problematic, don't you see what's happening to day
- 18:21Speaker 2: he stopped it.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I feel like I'm dying. He denied outright doing anything wrong,
- 18:28Speaker 1: while all my friends are in total shock that he
- 18:30Speaker 1: do this to me. He denied it until later and
- 18:34Speaker 1: somehow spun it around and made it my fault. He
- 18:37Speaker 1: wanted to split out with me for a while, but
- 18:39Speaker 1: I made him sad and guilty when we have conversations
- 18:41Speaker 1: about our relationship. Apparently, so that's my fault too. I
- 18:45Speaker 1: haven't always been impeccable, neither has he, and he's pushed
- 18:48Speaker 1: me a few months back. He recently made fun of
- 18:51Speaker 1: my weight. But he's my best friend. Why would he
- 18:54Speaker 1: betray me like this? It's beyond me. We've been through
- 18:58Speaker 1: so much together, more than any young crumple should. I'm
- 19:02Speaker 1: heartbroken and I can't believe that I've been betrayed this way.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I may not be perfect, but I would not have
- 19:09Speaker 1: done him like this, even through the bad times, I
- 19:11Speaker 1: have stuck right beside him. I'm in shocking, so upset,
- 19:15Speaker 1: then you if anyone has words for me to cut
- 19:19Speaker 1: and burn a little less. Right now, I know it
- 19:21Speaker 1: would be you. What should I do? Girl? Leave his ass?
- 19:29Speaker 1: Say no, say say, say no more. Leave his ass
- 19:34Speaker 1: because I heard so many red flags within this stas.
- 19:42Speaker 3: He puts you were, they were red bold.
- 19:44Speaker 1: It is on you already, Yi. He disrespected you and
- 19:49Speaker 1: is entertaining females outside of your relationship. He doesn't respect you.
- 19:58Speaker 1: He takes advantage of your kindness, yes, and he talks
- 20:03Speaker 1: bad about you, make making fun of your weight. He
- 20:08Speaker 1: does not like you, time and time and again that
- 20:12Speaker 1: he does not like you. Why he won't leave sounds
- 20:16Speaker 1: like you come from money from your dad, providing him
- 20:21Speaker 1: some sort of job in the music industry. It sounds
- 20:23Speaker 1: like you got a little bit of coin, and that's
- 20:25Speaker 1: what he's holding on too. Because if he's that miserable,
- 20:29Speaker 1: even though he's told you that he wants to break up,
- 20:32Speaker 1: he still could leave you. Why hasn't he made that decision.
- 20:35Speaker 1: You need to cut him off. You need to do
- 20:39Speaker 1: what you need to do and move on because he
- 20:41Speaker 1: does not like you, He does not value you, He
- 20:43Speaker 1: does not want you around his person. He's just keeping
- 20:46Speaker 1: you along for his own selfish reasons and for him
- 20:49Speaker 1: to spend something around and make it seem like you're
- 20:52Speaker 1: the problem. Yes, relationships go through things, and yes it
- 20:56Speaker 1: takes two. However, this sounds like a narcissist and he's
- 21:02Speaker 1: very much gaslighting you into feeling guilty and using that
- 21:07Speaker 1: as an excuse to be inappropriate. No, he don't respect you,
- 21:11Speaker 1: he don't like you, So let him go and find
- 21:14Speaker 1: somebody else who will. Because what one want, what one
- 21:20Speaker 1: won't do the next person will.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I love the truth that was solid. I love that.
- 21:29Speaker 1: And that's my advice for you, Bethany. I hope that
- 21:33Speaker 1: you are able to move forward. Heal first of all,
- 21:38Speaker 1: before you go dipping and dabbing into a next relationship.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Heal yourself, you know, and then once you've done that,
- 21:49Speaker 1: open yourself up to be able to love again and
- 21:53Speaker 1: receive it properly so you don't bring that baggage into
- 21:57Speaker 1: the next relationship. And that's about it.
- 22:02Speaker 3: That helped it does wow? Oki Doki? All right? This
- 22:10Speaker 3: one shit, I just lost our family. Click all right,
- 22:15Speaker 3: Tayleric Cower, are you thanks for the podcast? You all
- 22:19Speaker 3: keep my week moving.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I'm not sure if I want to I'm not sure
- 22:22Speaker 2: if you want to use this for nauseous news or not,
- 22:25Speaker 2: but I'm asking for your input. My aunt, who was
- 22:29Speaker 2: in her late seventies, has always been passionate about.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Cooking for family gatherings.
- 22:34Speaker 2: However, over the years, her culinary choices have left a
- 22:38Speaker 2: lot to be desired, and to be honest, most of
- 22:41Speaker 2: us dread her holiday meals. Let me give you a
- 22:44Speaker 2: little backstory. Last Thanksgiving, she tried to make her famous
- 22:48Speaker 2: potato salad, which she claims is a family recipe, and
- 22:51Speaker 2: you already know how black people are.
- 22:53Speaker 3: About potato salad.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Unfortunately, it turned out to be a soggy, bland mess
- 22:59Speaker 2: that could that nobody could choke down. Then there was
- 23:03Speaker 2: the time that she attempted to make pumpkin pie but
- 23:06Speaker 2: forgot to add sugar tasted more like pumpkin pie paste
- 23:09Speaker 2: than dessert. And don't even get me started on her
- 23:13Speaker 2: infamous pot roast made from meat that had everyone playing
- 23:17Speaker 2: guests that animal. Now, with each Easter approaching, she's already
- 23:25Speaker 2: excited asking what everyone wants her to cook, and I
- 23:28Speaker 2: can tell she's expecting a big turnout. The truth is,
- 23:31Speaker 2: no one really wants her to take the reins this year,
- 23:34Speaker 2: but I don't know how to break that to her
- 23:36Speaker 2: without hurting your feelings.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Let me stop playing.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I do love my aunt like for real, and I
- 23:41Speaker 2: appreciate her enthusiasm and all she does for me and
- 23:44Speaker 2: the family.
- 23:45Speaker 3: But I'm worried about how to handle this situation delicately.
- 23:48Speaker 3: If it were you, how would you approach this.
- 23:51Speaker 2: I was thinking about lying and suggesting a pot look
- 23:54Speaker 2: where everybody contributes to give everybody opinion. I'm sorry to
- 23:57Speaker 2: give everybody options, and that's if they show or do.
- 24:03Speaker 2: I need to bite the bullet and tell her the truth.
- 24:06Speaker 2: I want to be respectful, but also ensure that we
- 24:08Speaker 2: have a pleasant Easter without the fear of her disasters
- 24:13Speaker 2: in the kitchen.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Thanks for your help. Love news to make you nauseous, niece.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Child, this is so easy. First of all, oh in
- 24:26Speaker 1: raven bods, No no no, no, no no, it's not it's
- 24:30Speaker 1: not what you say, it's how you say it, say it.
- 24:33Speaker 1: It's not what you do, but how you do it.
- 24:36Speaker 1: With everything you do, when it comes to conversations like this,
- 24:41Speaker 1: you have to be very careful about what you say,
- 24:46Speaker 1: for one, but you also have to use tactics. You
- 24:53Speaker 1: said you're seventy years old. You can always bring to
- 24:58Speaker 1: her attention that the new generation would like to take
- 25:02Speaker 1: over and let her rest, let her know that it's
- 25:06Speaker 1: now youall time to take care of everything, and that
- 25:10Speaker 1: she doesn't have to worry. All she has to do
- 25:12Speaker 1: is sit back and relax because she's earned it. That
- 25:16Speaker 1: sounds better than you saying, Auntie, your food is fucking nasty.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Your old ass to cook for us no more, Auntie,
- 25:27Speaker 1: Be tactful in what you say. Sometimes you catch more
- 25:33Speaker 1: bees with honey, and it's true. Sometimes you gotta, you know,
- 25:40Speaker 1: sweeten the deal and and just be nice about it.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Just be fucking nice about it. Tell her, you know,
- 25:46Speaker 1: we appreciate all of them holiday stuff that you've done,
- 25:51Speaker 1: but we would like to take over and take take
- 25:53Speaker 1: that off of you. Now you've earned it. You're getting
- 25:57Speaker 1: older and we want to be more responsible for this.
- 26:01Speaker 1: And see what she says about that. Now, if she
- 26:03Speaker 1: keep pressing you out, and keep pressing you out, and
- 26:05Speaker 1: keep pressing you out, and.
- 26:07Speaker 2: That's when you need to be like Auntie, I love you,
- 26:09Speaker 2: but nobody wants frid Grizzly Bear this year.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Hey, nobody wants.
- 26:14Speaker 1: That you might have to be a little bit more
- 26:16Speaker 1: aggressive in your tactfulness. But that's what I would start with,
- 26:20Speaker 1: and that's what I would definitely do if I were
- 26:22Speaker 1: in your shoes, I would just be tactful and use
- 26:26Speaker 1: kindness and sweetness to not hurt my aunt's feelings, but
- 26:29Speaker 1: let her know that she don't need to worry about it.
- 26:32Speaker 3: If we got this, I love you.
- 26:34Speaker 2: You suck.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Yep, And that's about it. That's my advice. If you
- 26:45Speaker 1: guys want to continue sending me your advice, questions, and stories,
- 26:48Speaker 1: please send them to my email at Bravado at gmail
- 26:53Speaker 1: dot com.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Dooky Sue, how pop culture have you been this week?
- 27:00Speaker 3: Ma'am? Dipped in, dipped out or Ben spook some.
- 27:08Speaker 1: You know, But I haven't been obsessed with anything.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Alright, Let's see what we got on the time.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Things I could talk about though, Yeah, all right, we'll
- 27:18Speaker 1: be right.
- 27:19Speaker 7: Back By April fifth, TikTok could be banned unless they
- 27:22Speaker 7: sell to a US owned company.
- 27:24Speaker 3: It never fails.
- 27:25Speaker 7: Every single time something starts to benefit marginalize people, build
- 27:29Speaker 7: a community, or actually spread information weirdly, it becomes a
- 27:33Speaker 7: national threat and then boom, the government shows up and
- 27:35Speaker 7: they're like, oh wait, this is for your safety. Oh really?
- 27:38Speaker 1: Because it's given.
- 27:39Speaker 7: We don't like how loud you're getting, so let's talk
- 27:41Speaker 7: about it, y'all. Remember the Patriot Act. Ye had that
- 27:43Speaker 7: post nine to eleven one that they told us was
- 27:45Speaker 7: to keep Americans safe, which was a translation for spy
- 27:48Speaker 7: on your phone calls, dig through your email's profile Muslim communities,
- 27:53Speaker 7: and pretend it was patriotism.
- 27:55Speaker 1: According to the.
- 27:55Speaker 7: ACOU, the government used that to conduct mass surveillance without warrants.
- 28:00Speaker 7: But hey, we're safe, right, Let's be real. We know
- 28:03Speaker 7: the saying about safety, this is about control because they
- 28:06Speaker 7: were okay when this app was full of dances and
- 28:08Speaker 7: trends and stuff like that, but now it's black creators
- 28:11Speaker 7: like myself, indigenous educators, trans Voice is historians, activists that
- 28:16Speaker 7: are talking loud and reaching millions and suddenly is dangerous weird. Meanwhile,
- 28:22Speaker 7: Facebook can mine your data, push misinformation, swing elections, and
- 28:26Speaker 7: nobody's rushing to ban that. So let me ask you,
- 28:29Speaker 7: if the government only bands platforms that give a voice
- 28:32Speaker 7: to marginalize people, was it ever really about safety or
- 28:35Speaker 7: was it about silencing us before we build real power.
- 28:38Speaker 7: We've seen this play before. They dress it up in safety,
- 28:41Speaker 7: but what they're really protecting is the status quo. Every
- 28:44Speaker 7: time we get a little too informed, a little too organized,
- 28:47Speaker 7: a little too unified, they find a way to snatch
- 28:50Speaker 7: it away. So yeah, if we lose this platform, check
- 28:53Speaker 7: the link Treus in my bio. All my socials are there,
- 28:56Speaker 7: and so is a Google doc, a working Google dot
- 28:58Speaker 7: which contains all of the information that I've collected and
- 29:00Speaker 7: written in preparation for all these videos that I've made.
- 29:04Speaker 7: That's far So if they do take this up and
- 29:07Speaker 7: I don't see you on the other platforms, stay loud,
- 29:10Speaker 7: stay learning, and don't fall for the rebrand. Oppression doesn't
- 29:14Speaker 7: need a new name.
- 29:16Speaker 2: All right, stuck my toe into a little bit of
- 29:20Speaker 2: pop culture this week, ladies first.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Or just go with it?
- 29:26Speaker 1: We could just go with it.
- 29:29Speaker 2: See, let's start off this week talking about mister Terrence Howard.
- 29:36Speaker 2: According to TMZ Terrence Howard, this is what the headline says,
- 29:42Speaker 2: Diddy tried to.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Fuck me, but I kept my man card.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Wait what hold on? You said you talking about? You're
- 29:58Speaker 1: talking about listen Lucius Himsell Lucius.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, so Terrence Howard, I'm reading from TMZ.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Terrence Howard just gave a glimpse into what he said was.
- 30:17Speaker 2: The dark side of Hollywood, and one example he used
- 30:21Speaker 2: from his personal experience was none other there than Diddy.
- 30:26Speaker 2: The film and TV actor was a recent guest on
- 30:29Speaker 2: Patrick bed David's p b D podcast where he claimed
- 30:34Speaker 2: he was targeted by Diddy for sex under the guise
- 30:38Speaker 2: of coaching.
- 30:39Speaker 3: All jokes aside.
- 30:40Speaker 2: That was the headline, but he says Terrence claims did
- 30:44Speaker 2: he had no material to work on and just stared
- 30:47Speaker 2: at me while uh while performing I'm Sorry a while
- 30:52Speaker 2: before asking Terence to play some music again to just
- 30:56Speaker 2: stare at him. Nothing was accomplished. When Diddy invited him
- 31:00Speaker 2: to come back over another time, Terence said he realized
- 31:05Speaker 2: did he only wanted to have sex with him. To
- 31:07Speaker 2: be clear, he didn't accuse Diddy of any wrongdoing. Terrence
- 31:12Speaker 2: did a lot of people give up their man card
- 31:14Speaker 2: to make it happen in Hollywood and become successful, but
- 31:19Speaker 2: he refused to do it at any point. So he's
- 31:23Speaker 2: adding into this whole Cat.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Williams booty fault thing.
- 31:27Speaker 2: I don't know, you know, I hate entertaining news like
- 31:32Speaker 2: this because it gets conspiracy theory, and weird.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Can't be a conspiracy theory. If people been saying this week.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Well, I'm talking about okay, Okay, I have to accept
- 31:47Speaker 2: the fact that certain people believe that if you sacrifice
- 31:51Speaker 2: to the booty God, then you can do though it
- 31:56Speaker 2: has not happened for me in this entire forty some
- 32:01Speaker 2: odd years of being you know, yeah, be.
- 32:04Speaker 1: A rapper and see what happened. You're gonna be You're
- 32:10Speaker 1: gonna be.
- 32:10Speaker 3: The next little nozzer.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Actually not even to his career makes sense to me.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Old as a nikki troll, he got up fame. I
- 32:25Speaker 2: mean it's pivotal. He played a straight man in that
- 32:29Speaker 2: weird ass video with Billy Ray Cyrus, got the fame
- 32:34Speaker 2: and then did what black people do.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Listen, I have my own personal stories.
- 32:40Speaker 2: It is not a lie.
- 32:41Speaker 1: It is the truth. Executives will ask you to be
- 32:46Speaker 1: in uncompromising positions.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Now that happens all of the time. That happens all
- 32:51Speaker 3: of the times.
- 32:52Speaker 1: It's true, Yes that I believe. That's more.
- 32:56Speaker 3: That's more of a using your position of power in order.
- 33:00Speaker 5: To manipulate people, unless, oh, let's worship the booty God
- 33:04Speaker 5: like that's there's a very distinct difference between the two,
- 33:11Speaker 5: is it?
- 33:13Speaker 2: Because the truth is out there.
- 33:18Speaker 1: But what what do we do? That's why I ain't
- 33:24Speaker 1: never make it in the industry because got men out
- 33:30Speaker 1: tell you what.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Yeah, sure, and.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Be the titled booty God No, but it will immediately not.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Be picked up by nobody. See that ship trunk.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Damn.
- 33:53Speaker 3: I'm sorry, go ahead, and.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I missed my old president news. President Barack Obama addressed
- 34:02Speaker 1: for President Trump's latest decision and the impact of his
- 34:07Speaker 1: latest decision to ban the Associated Press from political press
- 34:13Speaker 1: school after they refused to use the term Gulf of America,
- 34:18Speaker 1: which has been established under his executive order. Oh God.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Turn his remarks, he stated, it's unimaginable that the same
- 34:28Speaker 1: parties who are silent now would have tolerated such behavior
- 34:32Speaker 1: for me or me or me Why does it say
- 34:39Speaker 1: that for me or whole bunch of my predecessor or.
- 34:44Speaker 3: And you know what, I agree?
- 34:46Speaker 2: I agree because if it had been if it had
- 34:48Speaker 2: been an Obama, oh please, you'd had white you have
- 34:54Speaker 2: had people out there and then.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Song like they would have got his black ass out
- 34:59Speaker 1: of office and meeting.
- 35:00Speaker 3: We would not have been anywhere near here.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Nope. He further stated, I'm more deeply concerned with a
- 35:06Speaker 1: federal government that threatens universities if they don't give up
- 35:10Speaker 1: students who are exercising their right to free speech. The
- 35:14Speaker 1: idea that a White House can say to law firms,
- 35:17Speaker 1: if you represent parties that we don't like, we're going
- 35:20Speaker 1: to pull all of our business or bar you from
- 35:23Speaker 1: representing people effectively, that kind of behavior is contrary to
- 35:27Speaker 1: the basic compact we have as Americans. He said, What
- 35:33Speaker 1: the fuck?
- 35:34Speaker 3: He said, I know that's right.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Okay, Well, I have nothing to pivot into this next
- 35:44Speaker 2: door because it is about Joe Butden but said law.
- 35:49Speaker 2: According to TMZ Joe Budden, hip hop's about the croak
- 35:54Speaker 2: thanks to trash music and reco cases.
- 36:00Speaker 3: So have you ever listened to the Joe Button podcast?
- 36:03Speaker 1: Sometimes in passing okay.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Uh, you know, he expressed his deep thoughts on a
- 36:12Speaker 2: current on the current state of hip hop, declaring it
- 36:15Speaker 2: dead in a of course, metaphorical sense. He pointed that
- 36:22Speaker 2: He pointed out that the genre has shifted significantly, with
- 36:26Speaker 2: artists like Kendrick Lamar Drake and Little Dirk representing a
- 36:29Speaker 2: new wave of talent, which I don't know why Dirk
- 36:31Speaker 2: is never.
- 36:35Speaker 3: He said.
- 36:36Speaker 2: He reflected on how the music and culture have evolved,
- 36:39Speaker 2: suggesting that the essence of hip hop has changed, leading
- 36:44Speaker 2: to a decline in its original authenticity and impact.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Thoughts, Oh you're you're a mute? Well because your mouth moving.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Further to say, nope, because that negative with his weird ass.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Watch your gotta be weird.
- 37:04Speaker 1: He's very weird. I don't really like him like that.
- 37:07Speaker 3: No, you never explained this to me why you personally
- 37:10Speaker 3: don't like him?
- 37:13Speaker 1: He's a womanizer?
- 37:15Speaker 3: Well, I mean I didn't know if you knew that
- 37:17Speaker 3: part because a lot of people.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Yes, I absolutely did his hands on women.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Too, So I let people come to certain conclusions by themselves. Yes,
- 37:33Speaker 3: speaking of.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Fun, I guess there's a pivot right here we go?
- 37:38Speaker 2: Uh did you hear about Did you hear about the
- 37:40Speaker 2: one that got away again?
- 37:45Speaker 3: Young dog? You're here? No, what happened to when he
- 37:48Speaker 3: got off again? So?
- 37:51Speaker 1: All right?
- 37:52Speaker 2: What was it?
- 37:53Speaker 3: I was reading?
- 37:53Speaker 2: See this is what happens when I'll be missing weeks
- 37:55Speaker 2: to podcast? All right, so I wrote that, wrote down
- 38:00Speaker 2: he was supposed to be going back to jail, but
- 38:03Speaker 2: now he's not, Judge Whittaker said. Young Thug social media
- 38:07Speaker 2: posts on Tuesday, reposting a bloggers photo of the police
- 38:11Speaker 2: investigator on the stand and adding the caption biggest liar
- 38:15Speaker 2: in the DA office was not wise, but not enough
- 38:19Speaker 2: to get him locked up again. Hm.
- 38:22Speaker 3: So the judge said, having reviewed the terms and conditions
- 38:25Speaker 3: of his probation imposed by the court, the court declines
- 38:29Speaker 3: to revoke the defendant's probation based on the violation. Asserted.
- 38:33Speaker 1: So ah, you can damn no, no no.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Then I go to the comments. This clown is gonna
- 38:45Speaker 2: get locked up sooner than later. He's gonna feel untouchable
- 38:50Speaker 2: and somebody, I agree, something's bound to happen when you're
- 38:53Speaker 2: on probation for fifteen years.
- 38:56Speaker 3: Wow, I guess.
- 38:58Speaker 2: But then the opposing says, I'm glad Judge Wouldacur is
- 39:01Speaker 2: a good hearted person. She doesn't fall for the nitpicking.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Right, because we need We definitely need more judges like.
- 39:07Speaker 2: That, especially in this climate where people have apparently forgotten
- 39:13Speaker 2: what is and is not the law. So we definitely
- 39:17Speaker 2: need somebody that reads and digests information and can spit
- 39:22Speaker 2: it back out in ways that everybody can understand. M H.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Speaking of the law, let's talk about this possible kidnapping.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Did you hear about Marvin Sap and what he did.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Oh guess what, never would have gave it?
- 39:45Speaker 3: Yes, oh, okay, okay, yeah, I'm sorry. I know what
- 39:49Speaker 3: you're talking about now.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Sad because he was at a church event and he
- 40:00Speaker 1: decided he was going to instruct the church ushers to
- 40:02Speaker 1: close the dough and ask the congregation for forty k
- 40:07Speaker 1: That sounds like extortion and kidnapping to me. And I'll
- 40:12Speaker 1: be patty and I'm pressed the charges because who you
- 40:15Speaker 1: think olding? Who you think you're holding up hostage for
- 40:19Speaker 1: forty dollars?
- 40:21Speaker 2: How come nobody ever points in these directions in that
- 40:24Speaker 2: direction for cults and shit, it's always got to be
- 40:27Speaker 2: fictational booty calls. It can't never be the niggas actually
- 40:30Speaker 2: sitting there demanding and taking money directly from Okay, let.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Me leave this alone.
- 40:38Speaker 1: I never would have paid it, okay.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Never, No, No, you gotta catch me up because I
- 40:44Speaker 3: saw this headline and clicked off. So did people actually
- 40:47Speaker 3: have to pay? For ten?
- 40:49Speaker 1: People actually stayed and paid the little twenty dollars that
- 40:54Speaker 1: he asked the churchgoers to go to donate, and not
- 41:01Speaker 1: only that, he wanted them to be quiet while they
- 41:05Speaker 1: was doing it. That sounds like a stick up what
- 41:08Speaker 1: are you talking about? Get down, Get down on the ground.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Don't say nothing, not a word, don't move, don't do nothing.
- 41:16Speaker 1: This is a stick up.
- 41:17Speaker 2: You know what it is.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Give me your money, give me your jewels, give me
- 41:21Speaker 1: your phones, give me all the this shit got on
- 41:24Speaker 1: your wallet and on your person's. Yeah, move, lock them doors.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Ain't nobody moving until I get what I want. Once
- 41:32Speaker 1: I get what i want, I'm gonna leave. What does
- 41:34Speaker 1: that sound like in every fucking action movie where somebody
- 41:37Speaker 1: is robbing a bank or any type of establishment. Don't
- 41:40Speaker 1: it sound similar? Nigga, Why would you do that? Nobody
- 41:45Speaker 1: is ever going to let you forget that you did that.
- 41:47Speaker 1: There have been so many skits.
- 41:50Speaker 3: It's crazy to me God since.
- 41:54Speaker 1: He's decided to do this, Like, No, this happened to
- 41:58Speaker 1: me and my family in real life though, Like when
- 42:01Speaker 1: I was a kid, somebody tried my somebody tried it.
- 42:07Speaker 1: The church that I used to go to that I
- 42:09Speaker 1: grew up in, they brought a visiting speaker. I can't
- 42:17Speaker 1: remember what the service was about or whatever. It might
- 42:19Speaker 1: have been a church anniversary thing or something.
- 42:22Speaker 3: All right, so.
- 42:25Speaker 1: The guy, you know, they get paid, They get paid
- 42:29Speaker 1: to come out and you know, preach to other churches
- 42:32Speaker 1: and stuff they get. Well, he didn't like what he got.
- 42:40Speaker 1: And it's so funny because me and my dad just
- 42:43Speaker 1: just talked about this the other day and he refreshed
- 42:47Speaker 1: my memory to what happened, like extra details, so I
- 42:52Speaker 1: didn't remember that part of it. He didn't like what
- 42:56Speaker 1: was on his check, so he said, I'm gonna raise
- 42:59Speaker 1: another offering for myself. Okay, old, the deacons are slash security.
- 43:09Speaker 1: That was in the church too, lock the doors, he leave.
- 43:17Speaker 1: They raised like it was some short shit. It wasn't
- 43:20Speaker 1: like forty thousand. It was like maybe two thousand dollars
- 43:22Speaker 1: or something. He wanted. My father said these words, but basically,
- 43:30Speaker 1: you got me fucked up. So he was like, he
- 43:35Speaker 1: instructed us. We was leaving, and I will never forget
- 43:39Speaker 1: this part. We got to the door and the guy
- 43:44Speaker 1: tried to stop my father and my father and this
- 43:47Speaker 1: is what made it scary because my dad's a big dude,
- 43:50Speaker 1: and so he don't really have to do a whole
- 43:52Speaker 1: bunch of barking and shit. His his calm demeanor is
- 43:56Speaker 1: more scary than his loud shit for real, right, because
- 43:59Speaker 1: you know he ain't playing old that man. He said,
- 44:04Speaker 1: you either move aside and allow me to go through
- 44:07Speaker 1: the door, or you're gonna go through the door with me,
- 44:10Speaker 1: whether you like it or not.
- 44:13Speaker 2: Hm hmm.
- 44:15Speaker 1: That motherfucker moved the fuck out the way. Because Jesus name,
- 44:24Speaker 1: that day would have been your last. And believe that, hello, okay,
- 44:30Speaker 1: then you would have been seeing Jesus for real. Yeah,
- 44:35Speaker 1: because that's kidnapping. That's crazy.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Oh happy day.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Wow.
- 44:41Speaker 3: I cannot believe that.
- 44:43Speaker 2: But you know what, when the story was told to me,
- 44:47Speaker 2: the person that was telling me, you know they had
- 44:53Speaker 2: they have also church background. Mm hmm.
- 44:56Speaker 3: So apparently this is not uncommon and you just said
- 45:02Speaker 3: your own experience. So the fact that people are out here, Okay, again,
- 45:09Speaker 3: I will point y'all, won't point the fingers in them
- 45:13Speaker 3: directions for like behavior.
- 45:18Speaker 1: I got two hands, I'm putting all the fingers. You
- 45:22Speaker 1: the problem, You the problem? You the problem? You the problem?
- 45:25Speaker 1: You the problem. Where's the solution? Let's fix it?
- 45:27Speaker 2: And that's what.
- 45:32Speaker 3: You got. Anything else?
- 45:35Speaker 8: Hm hmmm.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Do we care about Russell Brand? And oh I guess not.
- 45:43Speaker 3: Hm hmm.
- 45:45Speaker 1: You know who Russell Brand is?
- 45:47Speaker 3: No, that was a real who, that wasn't he?
- 45:53Speaker 2: Used to be.
- 45:54Speaker 1: He used to be, he used to mess with Katy Perry.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Okay, something's coming back. Go ahead, I'm listener.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Did you hear how he was charged with multiple sexual
- 46:05Speaker 1: assault offense it's nineteen ninety nine for the out, Yeah.
- 46:17Speaker 2: What did he do? So?
- 46:19Speaker 1: British police have chriged I'm sorry, rape and multiple sexual
- 46:24Speaker 1: assault offenses following an eighteen month investigation. So they've been
- 46:28Speaker 1: watching your motherfucking nasty as. Metropolitan Police announced in a
- 46:33Speaker 1: news release on Friday that brand Age fifty faces charges
- 46:38Speaker 1: including one count of rate, one count of decent assault,
- 46:42Speaker 1: one count of oral rate, and two counts of sexual assault.
- 46:48Speaker 1: The charges stem from allegations made by four women, with
- 46:52Speaker 1: incidents reporting occurring between nineteen ninety nine and two thousand
- 46:57Speaker 1: and five. Seat I said ninety nine for the two down,
- 47:00Speaker 1: I said it. Yeah. Detectives say they've been investigating the
- 47:04Speaker 1: allegations since September of twenty twenty three. Brandy scheduled to
- 47:08Speaker 1: appear in Westminster Magistrate's Court in London on May A
- 47:13Speaker 1: second that Eddie Perroy boo, you dodged them, motherfucking bullet had.
- 47:21Speaker 3: Now we know that dark horse. She was talking about.
- 47:25Speaker 7: It.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Was. Let's you see, I worked, it ain't all gone.
- 47:31Speaker 2: I'ma my forty Ryan dead fucked up a good one,
- 47:36Speaker 2: all right, So I guess what else you got?
- 47:43Speaker 1: I didn't really care about too much else, honestly.
- 47:46Speaker 3: I guess we'll move on to my segment up next
- 47:49Speaker 3: on unseasoned behavior. All right, we'll be right back.
- 47:53Speaker 8: It's Thursday night, and here's what happened. Trump's tariffs have
- 47:56Speaker 8: essentially crashed the stock market, and all of the games
- 48:00Speaker 8: that the US dollar has made since he became president
- 48:02Speaker 8: have been totally wiped out. But what exactly does that
- 48:05Speaker 8: mean for the average person? Because most people don't own stocks,
- 48:07Speaker 8: so they hear something like the stock market crash and
- 48:09Speaker 8: they're like, Okay, what's that got to do with me?
- 48:11Speaker 8: Your four oh one K and your retirement benefits, your pensions,
- 48:15Speaker 8: the banks that you use, they all have that money
- 48:19Speaker 8: wrapped up in the stock market. So while you may
- 48:21Speaker 8: not own any individual stocks, your retirement planning is very
- 48:25Speaker 8: likely tied to the health of the American stock market.
- 48:28Speaker 8: We also know that tariffs are import taxes, meaning things
- 48:31Speaker 8: coming into the United States, and that import tax is
- 48:36Speaker 8: rolled into the final cost of the goods and products
- 48:38Speaker 8: and foods that you purchase. So the dollar has lost value,
- 48:41Speaker 8: retirement accounts and stocks have lost value, and now goods
- 48:45Speaker 8: cost even more in a couple of months, if Trump
- 48:48Speaker 8: is successful in eliminating the Department of Education and ending
- 48:52Speaker 8: federal funding for schools, then folks are going to see
- 48:55Speaker 8: their property taxes go up. And that doesn't just affect homeowners.
- 48:59Speaker 8: That affects renter as well, because your landlord is certainly
- 49:01Speaker 8: going to raise the rent to make up for those
- 49:03Speaker 8: new property taxes he has to pay. Was the Department
- 49:06Speaker 8: of Education have to do with property tax Well, thanks
- 49:08Speaker 8: to some very racist policies from the nineteen sixties, school
- 49:11Speaker 8: funding is directly tied to property taxes. This is how
- 49:14Speaker 8: they ended up with very rich neighborhoods having much nicer schools.
- 49:17Speaker 8: In addition to property taxes, the federal government also pays
- 49:20Speaker 8: typically about twenty to thirty percent of the school's budget
- 49:23Speaker 8: for them to operate. Now, if federal government pulls back
- 49:26Speaker 8: those funds, they have to make them up somehow, and
- 49:29Speaker 8: that's just to keep operating schools at the level they're
- 49:31Speaker 8: at right now. And their option is really only to
- 49:34Speaker 8: raise property taxes to make up that budget deficit. Well,
- 49:37Speaker 8: couldn't the schools just do without or cut back? No,
- 49:41Speaker 8: because they already did that, and you can't get blood
- 49:43Speaker 8: from a stone. The schools are barely funded as it is.
- 49:46Speaker 8: Every single time in history massive tariffs have been put in,
- 49:50Speaker 8: they have been a massive failure. And that's why you're
- 49:53Speaker 8: seeing even Senate Republicans right now scrambling to try and
- 49:57Speaker 8: undo some of the Trump tariffs or delay them from
- 50:00Speaker 8: being enacted. That's not going to help with the stock
- 50:02Speaker 8: market prices really, and overall, the Trump administration's behavior on
- 50:06Speaker 8: the world stage hasn't made us any friends abroad, So
- 50:08Speaker 8: we're going to continue to have issues with our trade partners,
- 50:11Speaker 8: whether they call off these tariffs or not. I hope
- 50:14Speaker 8: that helps you understand what's happening with the tariffs and
- 50:16Speaker 8: the US dollar right now. Are we in a recession?
- 50:19Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 50:20Speaker 8: Have we been in a recession before?
- 50:22Speaker 1: Yes?
- 50:23Speaker 8: Some people are going to be able to ferry this
- 50:24Speaker 8: better than others. But it is more important than ever
- 50:27Speaker 8: that we stick together and we stand united against these
- 50:30Speaker 8: tyrannical tariffs.
- 50:32Speaker 4: Margie says, you're glib.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Okay, So this week I want to kind of touch
- 50:41Speaker 2: on this repeated argument I see as the Democrats try
- 50:45Speaker 2: to regroup and figure out where they went wrong, and
- 50:48Speaker 2: now different social groups have and civilized discussions.
- 50:52Speaker 3: Final I mean, people are taught.
- 50:55Speaker 2: And one of the things that I keep seeing is
- 50:58Speaker 2: this argument that one of the reasons are the reason
- 51:02Speaker 2: that Kamala didn't win was because the Democrats are way
- 51:05Speaker 2: too PC politically correct, and that people nowadays really don't care.
- 51:12Speaker 2: It's just when y'all be trying to put people on
- 51:15Speaker 2: blast and blah blah blah when they say something ignorant,
- 51:19Speaker 2: everybody's just like they're basically just trying to make the
- 51:22Speaker 2: argument that everybody's to PC and because of this politically
- 51:28Speaker 2: correct and charged environment that people like Kamala can't win.
- 51:33Speaker 2: I've heard this argument before and here I sit again
- 51:36Speaker 2: here in it again. Here's where my personal experience is different.
- 51:42Speaker 2: I'm openly gay now, but like I said earlier, there
- 51:45Speaker 2: was a time in my life that I wasn't. So
- 51:49Speaker 2: it sometimes lets me look at things at tad differently.
- 51:52Speaker 3: And here's my table.
- 51:54Speaker 2: Yes, we live in a very politically correct and politically
- 51:59Speaker 2: charged at us here, but that's because when we collectively
- 52:04Speaker 2: had the opportunities to treat.
- 52:06Speaker 3: People with respect.
- 52:07Speaker 2: We chose to do the opposite of it, or sidestep it,
- 52:11Speaker 2: or clown it, or do anything other than just respecting it.
- 52:14Speaker 2: We made that choice, and now more than ever, we
- 52:19Speaker 2: see that, We see that actual, that very hurt manifesting physically.
- 52:24Speaker 2: So people have started taking better care of their mental
- 52:27Speaker 2: health and being mindful of the ways that they address
- 52:29Speaker 2: and treat one another in attempt to heal. When you
- 52:33Speaker 2: fall and scrape your need, do you heal that open
- 52:36Speaker 2: wound gently? Are you one of these scab dealers that
- 52:39Speaker 2: helps create environments where people like people's trauma is repeated
- 52:45Speaker 2: while they're trying to heal from it and seek joy
- 52:48Speaker 2: and constantly and consistently poking at it.
- 52:52Speaker 3: Which one sounds better to you, because the shit's quite
- 52:54Speaker 3: simple to me. Think about it.
- 52:56Speaker 2: A world where you start addressing people how they want
- 52:58Speaker 2: to be addressed, regardless of your own opinion of how
- 53:02Speaker 2: they should.
- 53:02Speaker 3: Be their best self.
- 53:04Speaker 2: A world where you find out somebody you know like
- 53:07Speaker 2: shit you don't in the bedroom that you just mind
- 53:10Speaker 2: your business. A world where when somebody brought with broad
- 53:14Speaker 2: shoulders got a pee real bad, you don't stop that
- 53:17Speaker 2: bitch at the door asking to see your genitals.
- 53:19Speaker 3: One where when a.
- 53:20Speaker 2: Woman starts a job, you stop asking to touch that
- 53:23Speaker 2: lady's hair, acting like she bit your nephew.
- 53:26Speaker 3: When you see her in a business suit and her
- 53:28Speaker 3: hair and an afro running shit.
- 53:32Speaker 2: Like that, you stop holding the brother back because you're
- 53:35Speaker 2: afraid he'll do better than you, and leave your ass
- 53:38Speaker 2: the same way that you've been left, over and over
- 53:40Speaker 2: and over and over. See how in all those few
- 53:44Speaker 2: examples and the thousands millions of others, we've all dealt
- 53:50Speaker 2: with some kind of discrimination or trauma in some way,
- 53:54Speaker 2: shape or form, and depending on which thing it was,
- 53:57Speaker 2: where we personally played a role or may have made
- 54:02Speaker 2: a misstep that may not have been the best looks
- 54:06Speaker 2: over and over. That's why we try to be politically correct,
- 54:11Speaker 2: because you don't always know where a person has come from.
- 54:15Speaker 2: People have different backgrounds. They just do and whatever space
- 54:19Speaker 2: you're in can dictate your comfort level. Ain't nobody saying
- 54:23Speaker 2: you got to have rainbow wind chimes to show solidarity.
- 54:27Speaker 2: They're just simply saying, don't be I'm saying you don't.
- 54:32Speaker 2: We're just saying don't be a dick. But we ain't
- 54:35Speaker 2: getting there yet.
- 54:35Speaker 3: As people in all of these instances.
- 54:38Speaker 2: These are things that still happen daily today, yesterday, and
- 54:43Speaker 2: I'm willing to bet money tomorrow.
- 54:45Speaker 3: It's because we aren't there yet.
- 54:48Speaker 2: Nobody's asking you to alter your entire life and let
- 54:51Speaker 2: lesbian scissor on your boss's desk. People just want to
- 54:55Speaker 2: be respected. Great, he has nail polish on. Wow, voice
- 55:00Speaker 2: is deeper than mine. A woman in constructions, that's crazy, Like,
- 55:04Speaker 2: we aren't there, ain't. I even catch myself making certain
- 55:08Speaker 2: jokes I would have maybe made ten years ago. Like sometimes, but.
- 55:15Speaker 3: You can be funny and not be disrespectful.
- 55:17Speaker 2: You can have uncomfortable conversations without saying something you know
- 55:21Speaker 2: either isn't your business or may just be you may
- 55:25Speaker 2: just be curious about. We all have that, and we
- 55:29Speaker 2: all have those conversations. You just gotta respect people. So
- 55:34Speaker 2: the next time you find yourself in conversations leading in
- 55:37Speaker 2: that direction, remind yourself of the part you played in
- 55:39Speaker 2: it before you go deciding for people what they should
- 55:44Speaker 2: and shouldn't be offended by. Because listen, I'm usually quiet
- 55:50Speaker 2: but masculine presenting, so straight men don't even think twice
- 55:55Speaker 2: before they say or do shit around me. That's kind
- 55:57Speaker 2: of fucked up, and a lot of y'all are fucked
- 55:59Speaker 2: up in some way, more ways than I can count.
- 56:05Speaker 2: It's it's that not just men, not just women, not
- 56:10Speaker 2: just gays or days, it's just all of us. We
- 56:12Speaker 2: can do better, so many of us we could, but
- 56:17Speaker 2: we just often choose not to. Y'all won't say nothing
- 56:21Speaker 2: to y'all homies saying fucked up shit to the queer
- 56:23Speaker 2: person in your building because y'all afraid them same niggas
- 56:26Speaker 2: would think that you're with them or on the DL
- 56:29Speaker 2: or whatever weird ass other booty ritual shit y'all have
- 56:32Speaker 2: made up or decided it.
- 56:33Speaker 3: Was true, all for fear of how others will see you.
- 56:36Speaker 2: When the gag is that them gazed the people that
- 56:39Speaker 2: you're making fun of, they're stronger and more confident because
- 56:42Speaker 2: they've had to continuously overcome judgment from people over and
- 56:47Speaker 2: over while you're openly running.
- 56:49Speaker 3: From your own bitch.
- 56:51Speaker 2: So and the bigger gag is that a lot of
- 56:55Speaker 2: them weird ass times y'all going way extra with the inclusivity.
- 56:58Speaker 2: It's strange sometimes to even us. All these new medicine
- 57:02Speaker 2: commercials got that gotta have a chubby black woman with
- 57:06Speaker 2: some illness because.
- 57:07Speaker 3: Y'all love that shit.
- 57:08Speaker 2: She gotta have a gay, white cousband, they gotta have
- 57:12Speaker 2: racially ambiguous children.
- 57:13Speaker 3: Y'all's out of touch.
- 57:14Speaker 2: Marketing divisions and CEOs do that shit and then blame
- 57:18Speaker 2: us for saying that we don't.
- 57:20Speaker 3: Want to be forgotten.
- 57:22Speaker 2: No one's asking for no teenage mutant ninja hybrid homo
- 57:26Speaker 2: heatero biracial family bitch. We just don't want to be
- 57:30Speaker 2: passed up when y'all are handing out rights because y'all
- 57:33Speaker 2: don't like what I like in the bedroom.
- 57:35Speaker 3: That's it. That's it.
- 57:40Speaker 2: I was gonna try to end on a positive note,
- 57:42Speaker 2: but I ain't got nothing. Da can.
- 57:57Speaker 1: The second half of our show, Yeah house love.
- 58:02Speaker 9: What is so frustrating for so many of the American people,
- 58:05Speaker 9: the ones that are watching right now and otherwise, and
- 58:08Speaker 9: the reason that they're outraged and scared is because what
- 58:10Speaker 9: we see right now is a diminishing of all these institutions.
- 58:16Speaker 9: Right now, we have a legislative branch that it has
- 58:19Speaker 9: decided that it intentionally would disregard their duties. They are
- 58:24Speaker 9: not checking the president whatsoever. The only check that the
- 58:28Speaker 9: American people have had thus far has been from the judiciary,
- 58:31Speaker 9: and the judiciary isn't pulling this out of the sky.
- 58:34Speaker 9: In fact, they are coming from basic reading of the
- 58:37Speaker 9: plain language of the Constitution. For all of those that
- 58:40Speaker 9: are constitutionalists, when we start talking about things such as
- 58:44Speaker 9: what birthright citizenship is, but one of the things that
- 58:46Speaker 9: I want to make sure that I get to because
- 58:49Speaker 9: there are deeper implications if we go down this rabbit hole.
- 58:52Speaker 9: Imagine the type of world where the president does whatever
- 58:55Speaker 9: he wants to and no one can rein them in.
- 58:57Speaker 9: It's a world that right now many people are afraid of.
- 59:00Speaker 9: Put it this way, if Joe Biden would have done
- 59:01Speaker 9: an executive order for abortion despite what the Supreme Court said,
- 59:05Speaker 9: that would have been a problem. Imagine if the state
- 59:08Speaker 9: of Colorado kept Trump off the ballot and other states
- 59:11Speaker 9: followed suit, that would have been a problem. Or imagine
- 59:13Speaker 9: if Jack Smith ignored Eileen Cannon and with the help
- 59:16Speaker 9: of an activist judge, decided that he was going to
- 59:19Speaker 9: prosecute the sitting president. Anyway, the problem that we have
- 59:23Speaker 9: right now is that if we continue down this road,
- 59:25Speaker 9: then we will not have a rule of law. Because
- 59:28Speaker 9: we have people that are currently serving and they're saying
- 59:30Speaker 9: things like ignore the judge's order. What it means to
- 59:34Speaker 9: have law and order in this country is that you
- 59:37Speaker 9: follow the order and you go through the appeals process
- 59:39Speaker 9: even if you dislike what the judge did.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Thank you and I you.
- 59:45Speaker 4: Why do you have roch?
- 59:47Speaker 1: Why?
- 59:48Speaker 2: Why?
- 59:48Speaker 4: Why filed?
- 59:50Speaker 1: Why did my children hate me?
- 59:52Speaker 4: Are real talk radio?
- 59:55Speaker 1: Why did I have a dinnah burn?
- 59:57Speaker 2: The truth is out there explaining the unexplained.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: We're answering why the questions?
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: You want to know by over on Blue Sky taking
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: your skeets at w R t R Radio. I love
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: Blue Sky. I am really starting to like it because
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: it's some politically.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: Charged and I through out there. So anyways, uh, this
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: is the WI files.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Remember the truth is out there. We all ship. I
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: forgot the emails.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I'll do what that thing which when it comes from me?
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Dug and my why is this? Why people gotta fucking steal?
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: You know?
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Why did that? Excuse me? And this? And this was
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: a this was a rough week that I was. I
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: really needed to catch up on certain things. And I
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: feel a way about it. Okay, I didn't I.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: Speak on it? It's our inventing session.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Why didn't I wait? To call the police. I could
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: have got that man's face so I could have hunted
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: him down like I was a bounty hunter in one
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: of those action movies and fucked his ass up.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Okay, so you went and left on me there, I thought, I.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Do, I do, I do, and my feelings are valid
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: and that's how I feel it. And I want to
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: fight I do. I want to punch that man in
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: the face and let him know the drama and trauma
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: that he bestowed on me for this week. You didn't
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: just steal from me, And people who steal you need
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: to realize that you're not just stealing from the person
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: that you're taking. They sometimes have whole families and stuff
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: that and people who depend on them talk and my
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: kids depend on me. I needed to buy food and
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: I needed to pay bills and that was my that
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: was mine to do so, and you left me fifty
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: fucking dollars in my account. Thanks for that. Things were
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: not en taking everything. I mean, but you might as
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: well should have could have, because you took the bulk
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: of my money.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: And I want to say, who say he wouldn't have
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: taken the other fifty because you know, had he not
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: been caught in.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: Time, So I mean you gave that too long.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: I mean he wasn't he wasn't caught in time, because
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: he still got away with it. But I didn't find
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: out about it until like ten o'clock, and so I
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: was sleeping at the time. This happened around eight twenty
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: in the morning, and he made two transactions so he
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: can take all of this fucking money out my account. Wow,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: which makes it worse. So that day I had to
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: do so much running around to get another car and
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: foul police report and do this and do that. Like
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: it was annoying as shit supposed to be a simple day.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Why can't I find that? Man?
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: You know, the conversation I will have with you in
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: a person is a lot different than the conversation on
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: my head.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: In an audience. So yeah, I get it, friend, And
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I really am sorry. That had to be traumatic.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: I hate that you even had to deal with that.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: I hate that.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: I hate that you were targeted, and I hate even
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: more that the babies you know that people are taking
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: out here from actual children and families, And wow, something's
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: gotta change.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: It, really do Why Because the truth is out there
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: and I'm gonna fine your ass nigga work, all right.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: So since you picture wife from you, my why comes
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: from me.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: This is a treat because he'll never give it to
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: his own.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Why y'all, why do white people start movements, get attention
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: and then go missing? Oh shit, So I want to
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: talk about the Silent Riot. I had positive things to
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: say last week, or like in one of the weeks.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: You know, we took two weeks off.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: So but I'm glad that we took a few weeks
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: off because the second you say nice shit about white people,
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: it's been my experience that they will disappoint you.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: Today is no different.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: Silent Riot was a movement organized by man I spoke
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: to via TikTok. Now, before I drag him, I will
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: share some of our exchange on TikTok, all right. So
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: he says, this idea came up after a video I
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: posted when viral back on March seven. I'm in rural town.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: I'm in a rural town in Colorado, and it's hard
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: to be a part of a big protest that to
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: gather attention. So the Silent Riot, a digital uprising, was
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: created to give everyone a place to feel unified. Unified
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: with a simple, powerful video each week that addresses the
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: challenges that we are facing. This first launch was to
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: stir up Interact. Was to stir up Interact curiosity, pissed
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: some people off and also confuse people a.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: Bit, and it worked.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: Momentum is still going up, so I'm hoping to keep
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: this up. This week, we launch a collective video targeting
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: mainstream media outlets, both left and right outlets, hoping the
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: amount of people making this video will double and create
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: quite a stir all good seemingly cute like it's a
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: good idea, right, Lare you think so? I contacted this
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: guy on TikTok and we had a exchange back and forth.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: I was going to talk about it on the podcast,
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: promoted use this platform to kind of build that image.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: The issue that I have is that he made the
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: video literally trying to spark a flame, and when it
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: ignited and set a blaze and his movement started to
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: get traction, this person allegedly started receiving backlash and harassment.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: I'm unclear on the threats of violence or not. Here
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: is where we differ historically as a people, black and
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: white people. Because I promise you no movement we've ever
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: made happen again for the bettermentute of everybody. No movement
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: that we've ever done as a people that has ever
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: been met with a plate or a dish of warm
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: cookies and shit. We have always had to stand up
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: for ourselves, kicking down doors.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: And making shit happen. We got shot with rubber bullets,
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: actual bullets. Our baby's been fed to alligators.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: We being gassed, whipped, run over, torn apart, sewn together,
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: and we still rose then and we'll still rise.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: Again because we stand for something.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: This shit had me really disappointed because I was looking
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: for a movement to help blow up with this particular
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: platform that could gather, like from some of the less
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: active people that aren't any less upset about what's going on,
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: but maybe don't have the kind of lives that allow
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: them to be like on the front line. There's room
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: literally for everybody in this resistance. So I was looking
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: for a platform to be able to push and you.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: Know, promote, and you had actual people chiming in. It
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: made movements.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: It just like the idea was to disrupt the algorithm
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: that's being manipulated to silence people's voices and further push
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: Trump's agenda literally all of these platforms Instagram, Facebook, Twitter,
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: TikTok all heavily pled of the size in order to
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: keep his drooling maggots food into believing they have more
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: numbers than they actually do. But you fell off when
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: you got threats and listen, I get it. Everybody ain't
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: made for battle, and that's fine, but.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: I get it.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: I get it. But stop making these many movements for
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: lights and attention. If you're not gonna use that power
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: and pedestal we put you on to do what you
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: said you were gonna do. In that sense, you are
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: no better than Trump, the man you claim to be
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: outraged by. And that goes the Anonymous J and the
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: several other people that I see blowing up despite technology
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: being turned on us to start movements that they then abandoned.
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: I'm sick of it.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: If you're gonna stand stand otherwise, stop taking people's attention
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: away from the Corey Bookers out here ready to follow through.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Why because the truth is out there and it's right
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: there and.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Head look out the kitchen. Huh.
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: It's like, why does it even start the movement? If
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: the moment they bart back, you gonna go running a doghouse.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: With your tail between your legs.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: Why do it?
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Because he ain't about that.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: Life's wow and that's why you don't see black you
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: know what.
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: I'm gonna save that for real talk anyway.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: So that wraps it up for this week's Wildfiles. Email
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: addrests if you want to send those questions and continue
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: to do so, it said WRTR Radio at gmail dot com.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: Uh up next, Remember truth is out there.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: Yes it is.
- 1:09:36Speaker 10: We are in Yemen right now and the United States
- 1:09:39Speaker 10: has been telling the world that they have been targeting
- 1:09:42Speaker 10: with airstrikes hoot the rebel military bases.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: But this is not a hoot.
- 1:09:48Speaker 10: The military base I'm in, but it was bombed eleven
- 1:09:51Speaker 10: times by the United States over the past two weeks.
- 1:09:55Speaker 10: The most recent bombing they did on this building was
- 1:09:57Speaker 10: two days ago. And this is in a rural, very
- 1:10:02Speaker 10: impoverished parts of Yemen called Saddah, and they bombed this
- 1:10:06Speaker 10: eleven times.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Guess what it is?
- 1:10:07Speaker 10: A cancer hospital.
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: It was going to be the.
- 1:10:10Speaker 10: Most technologically advanced cancer hospital on collegy for all the
- 1:10:16Speaker 10: people of Yemen, and the United States decided to bombit
- 1:10:19Speaker 10: eleven times. Now, of course, there are occasional times when
- 1:10:23Speaker 10: they hit, you know, military targets. There are military targets
- 1:10:27Speaker 10: in this country, of course, but the vast majority of
- 1:10:30Speaker 10: the time, ninety five percent of the time, they're not
- 1:10:33Speaker 10: hitting military targets.
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: This is a cancer hospital.
- 1:10:36Speaker 10: We're about to go visit a university that was already
- 1:10:39Speaker 10: constructed being used by students, which was also bombed to
- 1:10:43Speaker 10: the ground, much worse than this, eleven times though, for
- 1:10:47Speaker 10: a cancer hospital that was under construction. The worst part is,
- 1:10:51Speaker 10: you know, the money here is very sparse, sparse, and
- 1:10:55Speaker 10: you can't just do something like this easily build a
- 1:10:58Speaker 10: cancer hospital. Now that it's completely destroyed, it's going to
- 1:11:02Speaker 10: be impossible for them to do this again. So this
- 1:11:04Speaker 10: is what your taxpayer dollars are going to, the bombing
- 1:11:07Speaker 10: cancer hospitals and yeomen fortunately no one was hurt in
- 1:11:10Speaker 10: this uh in these attacks, but it is absolutely Horrifical's.
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: News to make nauseous on w RTIE are Real Talk Radio.
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: These are some of the stories you might not read
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: about the New York Times.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Washington Post of the Wall Street Journal.
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: It's news to make you nauseous, like the stock market honauseous.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Yeah, this next story made me extremely nauseous. Say what
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Las Vegas say why. Marquetta Phillips, the woman accused of
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: stabbing and killing a three year old Journey Ross, appeared
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: in court Tuesday morning and was held without bail. They
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: are waiting more information before proceeding with a bail hearing.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: During the hearing, Phillips confirmed to the judge that she
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: had received a copy of the criminal complaine. Phillips is
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: accused of stabbing three year old autistic Journey Ross last
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Wednesday at an apartment complex near Eastern and Flamingo. The
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: coroner listed the cause of death as multiple stab wounds.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Investigators said Phillips was supposed to be taking care of
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: the nonverbal toddler when the incident occurred.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: We got her picture, let's do something with that.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Journey's father was not home at the time, but returned
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: to find his daughter stabbed. And Phillips's first court appearance
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: last week, both of the toddler's parents spoke. Journey's mother
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: said I have to sit here and explain that she
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: took my baby, Jeremy Ross. The father added, she stayed
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: with me for a year like.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: That.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: You know, I don't know what that's fast it read,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: but that's what it says. Legal team waved a fifteen
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: day preliminary hearing and she is expected back in court
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: in May. It's very fucking sad. The babysitter killed debate.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: The three year old autistic non verbal toddler. Wow, who
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: couldn't even say anything in herself? Like that's I hope
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: she do get whatever comes to her way. You're monster, bitch.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: Never any booty rituals about people like that. M all right,
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: say what Providence, Rhode Islands? Say what?
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Shut up?
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: Ah?
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: What live in Newport?
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: Oh shit, No, I did not know that.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: Continue to continue.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Okay, well you know what. I actually picked this story
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: because I thought that it would be funny for you
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: because it's about school. Okay, all right, So a sophomore
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: at Brown University. It's facing the school's wrath after he
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: sent a doge like email to non faculty employees asking
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: them what they do all day to try to figure
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: out why his tuition was so goddamn high. It was like,
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: hold on, hold on, hold on, so you need to
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: tell me my bill says, what, So let me start
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: itemizing this shit. He wanted them niggas that pull out
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: a calculator.
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: When the bill, come at the restaurant and be like,
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: m hold on, I ain't know what it is.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: It's valid. Continue though, listen.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: The inspiration for this is he this is his quote.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: The inspiration for this is the rising cost of tuition,
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: he told Fox News Digital in an interview. Next year,
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: it's set to be at ninety three thousand and sixty
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: four dollars to go on to go to Brown. He
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: estimates that the total charges. You know, that's for the
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: twenty twenty five to twenty twenty six school year. And
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: I think that's crazy, he added, I don't understand why
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: it costs that much. And I never understood why it
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: costs that much. But then I did some digging and
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: discovered that the reason why the price of college in
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: general across the nation, but also particularly at Brown, has
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: been arising over the past few decades for outpacing inflation,
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: is because we're adding on administrative staff faster than we're
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: offering of them. We're adding students faster than we're having
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: professors administrators.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: I mean, he's not wrong, he's not wrong.
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: Yeah, So he said, people seem to get very upset.
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: So he's been getting apparently a.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: Lot of backlash, hate emails, YadA, YadA, YadA, And I
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: can okay again the whole balance thing leave here. I
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: can see.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: What you just said as far as them adding a
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: necessary staff.
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: But then when you have.
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Influencers, so to speak, like Elon Musk out here, promoting
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: these ideas that people are just expendable and nobody does
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: everything and everybody, I demand to know where every last
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: cent of my spendings go. When you promote that idea,
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: it's sometimes more harmful than helpful. Now, I will say
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: that these college prices and these tuition chargers are outlandish,
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: but to the point it is the rising inflation, it's
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: because our It's because not I'm I can't even speak
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: for our. It's because of the greed of people that
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: are a lot wealthier than us that we are held
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: into these faces where.
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: We can't really branch out and do more.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, he do got go hiring extra Why are
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: you hiring extra staff if you're not adding more students
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: to accommodate these salaries. Instead, you're charging the students who
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: are already there more tuition. That does sound crazy to me.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: And what do you what are these extra people doing?
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, like, what are you what
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: are you adding on to campus that you need extra
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: administrative staff or well, and that's okay.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: The reason that I was this made me nauseous was
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: because of that whole elone idea that oh, well this.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: But at the end of the day, if if white
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: America wants to keep all of the jobs here in
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: the States, they want to keep all of the money
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: here in the states. If they don't want to let
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: people brand, y'ut, people aren't gonna quit creating people because
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: y'all don't believe in birth control either.
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: So where are all these people gonna work? Where are
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: all these people gonna work?
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Or they're gonna be a like it's again, it's shit
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: rolling down hill, but it's uphill battle.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: So different solutions need to be made to accommodate both sides.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: I think both points are valid. Yes, I agree with
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: you in certain instances it can cause more harm than good.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: But on the flip side, as me as a consumer
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: being on the more working class middle class, who still
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: got to go through trying to figure out if we're
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: choosing to pay the light bill or have groceries on
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: the table, which is a lot of people are going
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: through that ship right now, where's my money going? Because
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: guess what, I gotta count pennies and make sure you
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I know what's going what because
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: all of that shit counts. Every penny counts, every dollar counts,
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: all of that shit counts.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: So yeah, but I don't know, it's I just I
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: feel like we should have a better or more of
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: a realistic conversation with the p of the world and
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: what actual wages are minimum wage or minimum living wage?
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: Is board?
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: I definitely agree, because this shit is not happened. Like,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: even twenty dollars an hour is not a fucking up.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: It is not now, it's not, especially when you have
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: people who can't even afford their places, because you have
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: these places saying that you have to make three times
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: the fucking rent so you can get into the place,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Like that's crazy.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: And if you look at just the cost of living,
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: look at your go back. This is something I did
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: when I was bored one day. Go back and look
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: at your parents' birth year. And this is lyric and
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: to our listeners, look at the living expenses of their
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: birth year.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: I just did that for an assignment.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: Oh well, shit, look at me work anyways, when you
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: look at the cost of living, and how dramatically it's changed,
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: like these are still people that are living like our
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: parents are living.
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: We this is the boomers.
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: It was so dramatically different from when they started to
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: when we're starting. And nothing really has changed as far
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: as the wage gap.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. The price and I know
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: this for a fact because I looked it up on
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: the I can't remember what I think it was like
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: one of the consumer websites, consumer fair websites something. It
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: was a government website for an assignment. So this is
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: real shit. The price of a two bedroom apartment in
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: nineteen seventy two, it was five hundred fucking dollars. Bit up,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: I was in the wrong motherfucker. Wow. You know how
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: much it costs for a two bedroom depending on where
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: you are living at is right now? And don't let
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: it be one of those like luxury apartments. You spending
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: some bread, you spending like thirty five and up. That
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: shit is not cheap. It's not And it's not like
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: you're getting a shipload of space either. Un let's not
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: talk about New York New York store.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: I can't afford I can't afford the bathroom in New
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: York the fuck.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: And it's getting like that in DC because they raising
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: the rant and moving the niggas out. People can't even
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: afford it. That's why you see so many white people
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: in DC now and they chalking the city no more.
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: Well, that's because they're trying to break that what they
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: call it that bubble.
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: Uh I think it was I can't remember who it was.
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: It said that there's a bubble when you come to
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: somebody will tell us, but somebody on Congress they were
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: talking about the bubble as a euphemism for it's a
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: lot of black people in DC, so don't come up
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: there with this supremacist bullshit.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: Some of them be acting like they they lived there
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: all day life, they grew up there, and like they
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: they better than people because I didn't went to like
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: events or whatever. And motherfucker's acting like staring at you,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: acting like what the fuck are you doing here? Like yeah,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: I got a chair with that bullshit though I'm not.
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: Well, you know, it's all them and they cousins.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: That's in d C on the hands off march right
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: now even as we speak. So I wanted to talk
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: about that and real talk up next to you down. Okay,
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: allrighty well, if you want these and more nausey eight
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: news stories, give us a follow over on the socials.
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: I'm on Blue Sky It may Cus Smoot. That is
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: Marcus Smooth.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: I am not doing any skeets or tweets, but you
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: can find me on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram and sometimes
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: on Snapchat when I feel like it. At lerk brovadok Zokie.
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: We'll head a conversation coming right up here, Aback.
- 1:23:24Speaker 11: We have some news right now. The largest anti Trump
- 1:23:26Speaker 11: protests of this year is scheduled for this Saturday, April fifth.
- 1:23:30Speaker 11: It's the Hands Off Protest. It's going to be across
- 1:23:33Speaker 11: the country. According to organizers, eleven hundred protests have been planned, folks.
- 1:23:39Speaker 11: I wanted to cover it live, so I'll be at
- 1:23:41Speaker 11: the one in DC. I'll be covering it on the ground,
- 1:23:44Speaker 11: sharing what I see do, whether on live stream or
- 1:23:47Speaker 11: just through videos. But then again, TikTok could be banned
- 1:23:49Speaker 11: that day, so I'll be doing it on Substack, Instagram,
- 1:23:51Speaker 11: and YouTube. All are linked to my bios, so be
- 1:23:53Speaker 11: sure to follow me there as well. Interestingly, the Office
- 1:23:56Speaker 11: of Milania Trump, the First Lady, announced that all White
- 1:23:59Speaker 11: House will be canceled for Saturday in preparation of the protests,
- 1:24:03Speaker 11: given the fact that they expect over two hundred and
- 1:24:06Speaker 11: fifty thousand people to potentially be protesting, both in DC
- 1:24:10Speaker 11: and around the country. So I want to hear from
- 1:24:12Speaker 11: you all. What do you want to see in these protests?
- 1:24:14Speaker 11: Are you protesting? What's happening. I'm just trying to gather
- 1:24:17Speaker 11: some more information and I'll be covering it on the ground.
- 1:24:20Speaker 11: So stay tuned and follow along for more.
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: One hundred. It's real job. I RGR Real Talk Radio.
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: We keep it real, alrightightie. So we're recording today on
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: April fifth.
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: This is the day of the Hands Off March and
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: why we can't be the face of this movement and
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: how white people about to be mad. So I wanted
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: to kind of get into this because I'm all, well,
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: I'm seeing videos.
- 1:24:55Speaker 3: Shout out to Tiff. She just forwarded us.
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: Video or you know, footage of the protests out there.
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: And let me tell you, I didn't see no colored people.
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: Did you see any in the video that we.
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: I sent you? App Okay, Well, I want it to
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: be said. I do believe in the protest.
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: I do. We believe in protesting, but you also need
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: to understand, and I'm trying to get ahead of the
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: rhetoric because I already know how people act, especially online,
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: and I've already seen videos of people having a problem
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: with black people sharing other videos with black people saying hey, look,
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: don't go to this protest. The reason that we cannot
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: be the face of this is because we have It's safety,
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: but it's also I mean, it's safety, it's martial law
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: that we've talked.
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: About in our past uh you know podcast, and it's
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: the fact that.
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: We have, like we don't know what else it is
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: that we can do for y'all. These y'all are going
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: to be privaged conversations. You're in spaces, you're in places
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: that we're not.
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: Y'all know the white people. We don't know the white
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: people and the ones that we do.
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: If you have as diverse of a friendship or a
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: social circle as I do, dan acting like whatever y'all
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: got going on in Maryland, I'd like to go on
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: the record.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: To say, you know, are whites typically you know, they.
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: White people and black people don't have all of the
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: same issues here. Now we have a few. I mean
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: talking about my coworker, they gotta let go behind his
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: racist bullshit. But it's not us creating this problem, and
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: we can't be the face to fix it because we.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: Keep going through it over and over and over.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: At some point, y'all have to say this bothers us too.
- 1:27:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that's where the ME two movement came from.
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: That y'all had a problem with m hm. We are
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: asking you to say this also bothers me. And these
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: are the reasons. Be it.
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: It don't bother you until it bothers you.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: Be it the thousands millions of you that woke up
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: and found out that you were also DEI hires like,
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: it's just I don't.
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: Know what else is that.
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: I do go. We told you so, it's your turn. Now,
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: it's your turn. Now we cannot sing the heroes and
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: the face of and and the speakers of all of
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: these injustices in America. It's y'all turn out. It is period.
- 1:28:04Speaker 3: And make no mistakes.
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: We ain't saying that black people just gonna sit back
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: and be blown up and all.
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: This other stuff. Either.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: We have your backs, but were about to sit in
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: the back of the bus like y'all wanted us to do, yep, Because.
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: Y'all have to be the face of this resistance, they
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: have to one one.
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: The moment our black has to show up, not only
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: will he weaponize that against everybody, yep, but he will
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: specifically use our black and brown bodies as a message
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: to send to the rest of y'all that if y'all
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: step out of line, this is what's going to happen
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: to y'all.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: But then they use us so that they so.
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: That then they don't have to account for yeah, take
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: account for hurting the people that they know. So they
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: use us.
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: They use our black brown.
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: Bodies, says target practice or to send this message.
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: We've seen it over and over. I'm not speaking from
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: a hypothetical sense.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: I am speaking from a place of a person that
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: has both read and witnessed history, right.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: The same history that they're working over time to try
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: to erase by the way.
- 1:29:21Speaker 3: Which we all still have access to.
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: And you might want to think about brushing up on
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: it before you go out here feeling like you are
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: empowered to feel either side of the way if you want.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: Of them people that's on the fence, because God knows
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: we got about twenty percent of Byron.
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: Daniels still because the ninety two percent of the women
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: showed up.
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: Eighty something.
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: I mean, brothers, we showed up too, you know. Majority.
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: I'm twenty side out of the twenty. But yeah, we've
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: we've been, we've been.
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: You just getting there, but you have to do something.
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: You cannot be the person that then decides that, oh well,
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: they didn't say they were going to be really mean
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: about it. What you think y'all be starting these movements
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: and shit, that's.
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: Not how it works.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: That's all I keep saying. We tried to tell y'all,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: We warned you, We told you pay attention to what
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: he's saying. He's not playing when he's telling y'all what
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: he plans on doing. He's going to do exactly what
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: he says he's gonna do. It's not it's not a game.
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: And we told y'all he lied about certain things. That
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: Project twenty twenty five shit he claimed he had no
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: knowledge of. But all his signatures is on each and
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: every one of them fucking pages signing off on the shit.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: What president you know, is just signing his life away.
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: And don't read what they put their name.
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: On nobody, come on, make it not even not even
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: doofy Donald.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: Make it makes sense. We tried to tell y'all, y'all
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: fucked around and found out now to use that same
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: energy to fight against this man who is going to
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: try to tear the United States apart, and they were.
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: The legal ways to do this are protests, Yes, organized
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: protests that have to be registered.
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: That's fine, do that, do the voting.
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: Actually pay attention to what people are saying this time
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: in their speeches or even if you don't want to,
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: like I know a lot of y'all will not. If
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: you're listening to this podcast, you will, but the majority
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: of the average person is probably not going to do that.
- 1:31:42Speaker 11: Right.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Also pay attention to what they're not saying. Because during
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: that day, he ain't say shit. He just kept, you know,
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: diverting everything to the other side of what they wasn't
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: doing with them.
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: And we cracked up because he said he was the
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: people eating dogs and cats, and we were like, I.
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: Personally said, okay, so this is dementa and we all see.
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: This happening, right, So I said that when it happened
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: when I watched the debate live on TV. So to
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: know that there were a group of people that was like, yep,
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: they over there eating it.
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: No, nobody's witnessed this.
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: That nigga in charge of the town is Paul John said,
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: So yeah, that's not happening. Yo.
- 1:32:34Speaker 3: Go no now, because I've seen it on the internet.
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. But if you believe everything on the internet,
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: you are an idiot.
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: As we said from the internet.
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: But I'm saying, be logical about your thought process as people,
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: seriously and before you start attacking black people.
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: Because I have not seen the videos yet, so I
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: don't feel a certain type.
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: Well I'm sorry, I've seen the videos already of the
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: people criticizing black people, including other black people. And you
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: know what, one thing, Okay, one sister didn't make a
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: good point, she said, black people, she believes what we do.
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: But her whole stance was okay, but we can't just
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: sit around and do nothing. So what steps are you
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: taking to then push the movement on our own? Like
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: what are we doing on this day that we're not
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: protesting with the white people? I mean, like where we
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: can't be the face of that protest, what are we
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: doing in instead?
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: Well, hopefully educating because a lot of people are educated
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: about politics and how things go. You don't know how
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: many brown people and black people have said I don't
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: really care about that. It's not a you not knowing that.
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: It really does affect you, regardless if you know about it.
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: A lot of things affect you. So I think the
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: education part is more important, more so than anything, and
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: letting people know how things work in politics, and they're
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: going to continue to be in that thought process and
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: pass that non knowledge down and it's going to be
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: a cycle of people not knowing. And this is very important.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: You really have to know what goes on around the
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: world that you are inca. This shit right here is wild.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: I never thought. I was just thinking to myself the
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: other day, I cannot believe I am living in this
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: time where all of this shit is happening actively around me.
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: It's wild. It really feels like the fifties or sixties,
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: with the exception of us getting fire for that ship.
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: But I mean not to compare. It's not anything different
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: than black and brown people being shot down by the
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: police and being unarmed. It's still stuff that is happening
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: right here and right now that I didn't think would.
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: Happened the same stuff different day. Yep, why really the
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: same stuff different days? So something has to change. Literally,
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: the definition definition of insanity is doing the same thing
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: over and over and expecting a different results. So we
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: can't continue to be the face of this resistance, to
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: continue to go down this rabbit hole of why whites
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: feel like they need to be better than anyone and
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: everybody else in order to live in harmony with the
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: rest of everybody else.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: And that's another thing that baffles me, which is why
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: they're on a race history. How can you feel like
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: you're better than something than somebody in a place that
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: you didn't help build, none of that.
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: But if you erase it, then the guilt that they
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: then feel, the inferiority that they didn't feel, is then
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: a race for their future generations, because you've got to
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: remember this for them is on a scientific level they
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: get into again. I'll talk about Roland Martin's book that
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: gets into the intricacies of how they think and how
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: they feel about their numbers and this idea of how
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: they maintain purity and all this bullshit that the average
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: nigga don't care nothing about because we just out here
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: trying to live in our own existence.
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: Y'all come from us. But that's a topic for a
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: whole nother fuck can talk about scientifically proven Yes, yes,
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: and black women have something called the eve gene. We
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: can create any type of human on the place of
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: this earth. Yeah, when they say black men and black
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: women are magic, is not a fucking game.
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: It's literal.
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: Every day, every race comes from us. Sorry, it's true.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: Why do you think are melanin so bad? Why do
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: you think they chose that black woman for scientific research
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: for and use her DNA to cure stuff? I can't
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: remember what her name is, but if I can remember it,
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: I'll to speak about it on next week's show. But yeah,
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: so that lady's DNA did not pay her family a
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: fucking dime.
- 1:37:51Speaker 3: I understand.
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: I am.
- 1:37:55Speaker 3: So black people.
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: Used today to reflect on yourself, because although we can't
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: be the face of the movement, we are certainly a target.
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: And they again will use white fear and actual intimidation
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: to their own by using us as an example. Please
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: never forget that. And again, I don't speak from places
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: of the patriot. I speak through the eyes of someone
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: who is pretty up to date on at least the
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: basis of history.
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: Yes, ma'am, I know her name. She deserves her name
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: to be said. Her name Henrietta las and because of
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: her cells, they became the first immortal human cell line,
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: revolutionizing medical research and leading to significant advances.
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: Well you know what, I'm actually Ashley the Baroness has
- 1:38:54Speaker 2: a video about Henrietta.
- 1:38:55Speaker 7: They took herselves, they used her body, they built entire
- 1:38:59Speaker 7: empre off her biology, and they never even told her
- 1:39:02Speaker 7: she was part of the story modern medicine. It owes
- 1:39:05Speaker 7: an enormous debt to a black woman. Meet Henrietta Lax,
- 1:39:10Speaker 7: and she never got the chance to say yes. In
- 1:39:13Speaker 7: nineteen fifty one, Henrietta went to Johns Hopkins with pain
- 1:39:16Speaker 7: that nobody was taking seriously. She was a thirty one
- 1:39:18Speaker 7: year old mother of five just trying to survive cervical cancer,
- 1:39:22Speaker 7: and while she was under treatment, doctors took samples of
- 1:39:25Speaker 7: her tumor without her knowing, and what they found shocked them.
- 1:39:29Speaker 7: Our cells didn't die, they doubled, they multiplied, They were immortal.
- 1:39:33Speaker 7: They named them Mihila, and her cells became the backbone
- 1:39:36Speaker 7: of nearly every major medical breakthrough since polio, vaccine, chemotherapy,
- 1:39:41Speaker 7: eights research, IBF and more recently the COVID nineteen vaccine.
- 1:39:46Speaker 7: All that was possible because of her, and yet her
- 1:39:49Speaker 7: children lived in poverty. Her family didn't even know her
- 1:39:52Speaker 7: cells had been taken until twenty years later. They were
- 1:39:55Speaker 7: left grieving, broke in a race from the very history
- 1:39:58Speaker 7: that their mother helped shape. And Rietta wasn't asked, she
- 1:40:02Speaker 7: wasn't thanked, But she changed the world. She was a woman,
- 1:40:06Speaker 7: a wife, a mother, a daughter, not a lab sample,
- 1:40:08Speaker 7: not an experiment, not property. And while the world celebrates
- 1:40:12Speaker 7: the cures that her cells helped create, her legacy isn't
- 1:40:15Speaker 7: just scientific. It's a reminder that black bodies have been
- 1:40:19Speaker 7: used and discarded in the name of progress.
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: But not this time.
- 1:40:23Speaker 7: This time we say her name, we lift it, we
- 1:40:26Speaker 7: honor it. Because she didn't get to choose her legacy,
- 1:40:30Speaker 7: but we will never let the world forget it. Say
- 1:40:32Speaker 7: her name, Henrietta lax Well.
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: I guess that's it for us this week here on
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: WRTR unless you got something else, mister d Week.
