- 0:09Speaker 1: Advice.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Sure, it's time.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Hell level Lo Love Lo Love, Low and low and
- 0:16Speaker 1: lower Loo. Welcome to the naughty but niceha. I'm your
- 0:19Speaker 1: hosts there and it's Wednesday, which means our differend. Donny
- 0:22Speaker 1: Meacham joins us, Hey, Donnie, are you there? Hello? Hello, Hello,
- 0:28Speaker 1: wen ton I gosip to get to it. Let's jump in.
- 0:35Speaker 1: What time is it? My friends? And as tea time.
- 0:37Speaker 1: This story is explosive. So a judge has rejected Andy
- 0:40Speaker 1: Cohen and brother's bid for a private showdown with Leah McSweeney.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Let me explain, So Liah McSweeney as soon. It has
- 0:48Speaker 1: really gone hard after Andy and Bravo, a legend of
- 0:51Speaker 1: the network just treated her terribly, terribly, terribly well moving forward,
- 0:57Speaker 1: brother wanted this case which is happening. This case is
- 1:00Speaker 1: not going to disappear. And this legal drama between Leah
- 1:03Speaker 1: McSweeney and Bravo, it just got a new public twist.
- 1:07Speaker 1: So a federal court judge ruled the her lawsuit against
- 1:12Speaker 1: Andy and the network will play out in bum bum
- 1:14Speaker 1: bum open court ooh, not behind closed doors in arbitration.
- 1:19Speaker 1: So Bravo wanted to move it into arbitration. They didn't
- 1:23Speaker 1: want this in open court for a network that has
- 1:25Speaker 1: made millions and millions, humiliating people publicly and really really
- 1:31Speaker 1: really sort of promoting bad behavior when it comes to
- 1:34Speaker 1: their own crimes, their own sins. Ssh, they don't want
- 1:39Speaker 1: to talk about that. Well, A judge has really is
- 1:41Speaker 1: should a strongly worded ruling here, and the judges scolded
- 1:46Speaker 1: Bravo's lawyers for trying to shift the case to private arbitration. No,
- 1:52Speaker 1: it's gonna be in open court. To translation, We're going
- 1:56Speaker 1: to get a reality TV battle that is going to
- 1:58Speaker 1: be very, very real. If any public I cannot wait
- 2:02Speaker 1: to watch this. I think brav should broadcast it. Maybe
- 2:05Speaker 1: not Bravo, but maybe a competitor. And they're not They're
- 2:08Speaker 1: not in the same company anymore. They're gonna do this
- 2:10Speaker 1: trial in open court. We're gonna hear everything, We're gonna
- 2:13Speaker 1: see everything, and I am for it.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Where are you can we just get Can we get
- 2:19Speaker 2: Gwyneth Paltrow to play Lee McSweeney because her in court
- 2:22Speaker 2: is But here's the thing I think wise because you
- 2:26Speaker 2: know there's that documentary that's on Netflix about America's Next
- 2:30Speaker 2: Top Model. Yes, and I think that after that came
- 2:33Speaker 2: out because that does not that does not paint in
- 2:38Speaker 2: the pest life because it literally shows that they cared
- 2:42Speaker 2: only about ratings TV making a TV show and these
- 2:46Speaker 2: girls are literally one girl was, you know, sexually assaulted.
- 2:51Speaker 2: The other girls were passing out because they weren't eating
- 2:55Speaker 2: and they were having these really but that's what reality
- 2:58Speaker 2: TV was back in the day. But the sad part
- 3:02Speaker 2: is about this is the Real Housewives. They've been around forever.
- 3:06Speaker 2: And the thing is is those shows they kind of
- 3:09Speaker 2: stay the same because that's what you expect. So once
- 3:13Speaker 2: you get that expectation. So the thing is is they
- 3:15Speaker 2: were pushing Leah to allegedly drink yes on the show,
- 3:19Speaker 2: and now she is. She's sober. She even has like
- 3:21Speaker 2: a sober dating site and everything. But she was saying,
- 3:25Speaker 2: they were pressuring me to drink and I didn't want to,
- 3:27Speaker 2: and then I did, and then I acted a fool
- 3:30Speaker 2: blah blah blah blah blah. But here's the thing. I
- 3:32Speaker 2: am very I have to tread the line here because
- 3:36Speaker 2: I am very against these production companies pushing a narrative
- 3:44Speaker 2: on people and I hate it. But I will say,
- 3:48Speaker 2: these people, you do kind of know what you're signing you.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Know what, you know what you get in. They've approached
- 3:53Speaker 1: ed on me. How many times have we spoked to
- 3:55Speaker 1: reality shows. I'm not doing it because I don't want
- 3:57Speaker 1: you to make me look like a fool, and I
- 3:58Speaker 1: have no control of No, you are edited, so they
- 4:02Speaker 1: know what they're getting into here. Leah's the tip of
- 4:04Speaker 1: the iceberg. What Leah and being pressured to drink? I mean,
- 4:07Speaker 1: I think we've all sort of probably come to the conclusion,
- 4:10Speaker 1: of course she was. It's the Real Housewives. They're all
- 4:12Speaker 1: drunk all the time. We've watched the show. It's the
- 4:14Speaker 1: other stuff that's going to be fascinating. The emails, the text.
- 4:17Speaker 1: What did Andy say? How did he talk to people?
- 4:20Speaker 1: Is he the Tyra Banks of his generation? I think
- 4:22Speaker 1: the answer is probably yes. Andy cared about profit ratings.
- 4:26Speaker 1: He's just bought his new house in the Hampton's. He
- 4:28Speaker 1: got his new apartment in New York. Hey has become
- 4:30Speaker 1: fabulously with rich. If you think Bethany's rich, think again,
- 4:33Speaker 1: the one that made all the money from the Housewives,
- 4:35Speaker 1: the one that has a twenty million dollar apartment. It
- 4:38Speaker 1: ain't Bethany. Frank Ologill's Aaron. It's Andy Cohen. Andy Cohen
- 4:42Speaker 1: has made bank from this really awful show. We can
- 4:46Speaker 1: love it, we can watch it, but we all know
- 4:49Speaker 1: what it is. It's just awful and the ladies are exploited.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Admittedly they signed up. Nobody signed them up. I think
- 4:56Speaker 1: they knew what they were getting into. If they didn't know,
- 4:59Speaker 1: they knew for a couple of weeks. Everybody that I
- 5:01Speaker 1: know that's been on the show is in on the joke.
- 5:04Speaker 1: They get it. But Leah's biting back and she's gonna
- 5:08Speaker 1: do it in public court. We're going to see this.
- 5:11Speaker 1: It is fascinating with Bravo because they're so secretive when
- 5:15Speaker 1: it comes to their own business. They love telling you
- 5:18Speaker 1: everybody's secrets, everybody's secrets. They love love making fun of people,
- 5:24Speaker 1: really ruining lives in some instances here, people have gone
- 5:28Speaker 1: to jail on this show. But when it comes to
- 5:30Speaker 1: asking any questions about and or Bravo, who is a
- 5:35Speaker 1: very complicated individual. We've been around him, you know him,
- 5:39Speaker 1: done it. I know it's a very complicated. I think
- 5:41Speaker 1: I'm just gonna sit back with a bucket of popcorn
- 5:45Speaker 1: and enjoy it.
- 5:46Speaker 2: What about you. Here's the thing, this is the this
- 5:48Speaker 2: is the truth here. I know this and you know this, Rob.
- 5:52Speaker 2: This lawsuit is only moving forward because there are receipts,
- 5:59Speaker 2: text messages, guess emails. You can't just go out and
- 6:03Speaker 2: say they forced me to drink, because we can all
- 6:05Speaker 2: say that. What you have is you have a text
- 6:08Speaker 2: from Andy specifically saying you better drink tonight. Here's something
- 6:12Speaker 2: along the line. There is something like that, there's.
- 6:15Speaker 1: A smoking there. Yeah, there's a reason brav wants it
- 6:18Speaker 1: in arbitration. They want this private. They want to settle
- 6:21Speaker 1: this behind the scenes. And it just said no, No,
- 6:25Speaker 1: I love this, I really really do, because it's hypocritical
- 6:28Speaker 1: for a network who's exploited people who do this type
- 6:31Speaker 1: of television to suddenly want to be treated like they're
- 6:33Speaker 1: sixty minutes. No, you live by the sword, you die
- 6:37Speaker 1: by the sword. Bravo, sign me up. This might be
- 6:40Speaker 1: the best episode of The Housewives of all time, which
- 6:43Speaker 1: brings us to our pole question of the day, a lawsuit.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You're saying that the lawsuit against Andy Cohen must be
- 6:50Speaker 1: held in open court. So there's a lawsuit against Andy
- 6:53Speaker 1: and Brather, but it will play out in open court.
- 6:55Speaker 1: It's not going to be behind the scenes, not behind
- 6:57Speaker 1: closed doors, which is where Andy wants. Our question is
- 7:01Speaker 1: will you watch? Will you watch this? I think I
- 7:03Speaker 1: know you're upside? Okay, go vote on our Twitter page.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I doty noise. Rob Our Facebook page is not a gossip.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I'm sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey,
- 7:14Speaker 1: Donny Love, what are you working on? Quick?
- 7:17Speaker 2: I just want to tell because we know Bravo listens. Hello,
- 7:20Speaker 2: Hello too, And I know you would agree with this statement.
- 7:24Speaker 2: You know what you did. And to be honest, I'm
- 7:27Speaker 2: in your PR person. I wish I was Megan's PR person,
- 7:30Speaker 2: oh her disaster. But you would look better if you
- 7:34Speaker 2: came out and you said, we're gonna er it on
- 7:36Speaker 2: our network. We're going to be open and we're gonna say, yes,
- 7:39Speaker 2: we did it, we apologize and move on. When you
- 7:42Speaker 2: try and hide it, you look worse.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yes, do you show do it? It's only absolutely absolutely what.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Do you Timothy Shallow, Ma, honey, he made a little,
- 7:52Speaker 2: you know, a flippant remark about you know, the ballet
- 7:55Speaker 2: and the opera. Oh honey, he's getting roasted for it.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I mean the view when in on him whoop. He
- 8:01Speaker 2: was not happy. You know you made a mistake when Jeopardy.
- 8:06Speaker 2: When Jeopardy is how to get you, you've made much stake.
- 8:13Speaker 2: So they you know, they had a little question posted
- 8:16Speaker 2: a clip of contestants valuesing to a ballet in Uprok Fergruary,
- 8:20Speaker 2: which was not a not a subtle dig. It's you
- 8:24Speaker 2: know you've you've made a mistake when you got Jeopardy.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I love the Jeopardy. I love I love that they're
- 8:30Speaker 1: clapping back. It makes it funny. This is the new Jeopardy.
- 8:33Speaker 1: It's a great choice to watch it. I love that show.
- 8:36Speaker 1: They've managed to stay relevant. It's not a dull old show.
- 8:39Speaker 1: It's a great show. The concept of the show is great,
- 8:41Speaker 1: but it's cheeky. And now I love Ken Jennings. I
- 8:43Speaker 1: think he's the perfect host and this is something he's
- 8:45Speaker 1: going to be really telling this Sunday. Is Timothy going
- 8:47Speaker 1: to win?
- 8:47Speaker 2: Now?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Most of the controversy happened after voting ended, so he
- 8:52Speaker 1: was lucky. If voting was going on this week, I'd
- 8:54Speaker 1: say he's not gonna win. But my sources tell me
- 8:57Speaker 1: the titles turning on him in La Long or at
- 9:00Speaker 1: least weeks before. These really silly comments about opera and ballet.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I think what is so damaging about these comments is
- 9:06Speaker 1: that he's always painted himself as a real New York
- 9:09Speaker 1: bohemian type guy. He's always painted himself as the type
- 9:12Speaker 1: of guy who would love to go at a Lincoln
- 9:14Speaker 1: Center and be in the opera house and be in
- 9:17Speaker 1: the New York Philharmonic. He's a bit of a snob
- 9:20Speaker 1: about his own career, his own craft. And let me
- 9:23Speaker 1: remind Timothy if anything is irrelevant, if anything is something
- 9:28Speaker 1: we don't care about, may I suggest it's ping pong.
- 9:31Speaker 1: You were promoting a movie about ping pong, hardly the
- 9:35Speaker 1: nation's pastime. It's not basketball, it's not baseball, it is
- 9:41Speaker 1: it's ping pong. So Timothy, I don't know. I don't
- 9:44Speaker 1: think you're gonna win. I don't know. On send him
- 9:46Speaker 1: await and see okay. Lia zaman Nelly is talking about
- 9:49Speaker 1: the moment that she realized that she found out that
- 9:51Speaker 1: her mom, the legendary Judy Garland, had died. She said
- 9:54Speaker 1: she was in New York and she got a phone
- 9:57Speaker 1: call saying her mom had passed, and it was panic
- 9:59Speaker 1: and heartache and confusion, and she said, but the part
- 10:03Speaker 1: that really hurt is this massive public funeral. Somebody had
- 10:06Speaker 1: to organize it, and that responsibility fell on her. She
- 10:10Speaker 1: went on to say that unknowingly to this moment changed
- 10:13Speaker 1: her life because a doctor prescribed her valium and that's
- 10:17Speaker 1: when her long complicated history with prescriptions with drugs really
- 10:23Speaker 1: really exploded. Fascinating Tomorrow, I think, on the day afterwards
- 10:28Speaker 1: her biography comes out, she's doing interviews. I hope she
- 10:31Speaker 1: tells the whole truth. I'm told by people who have
- 10:33Speaker 1: read the book, they're a little disappointed. It's a very glossy.
- 10:37Speaker 1: It's a very showbiz. It's a very lieser version of
- 10:40Speaker 1: the book. She doesn't dig deep. I don't think we
- 10:43Speaker 1: expected that of her. But it is still going to
- 10:46Speaker 1: be a massive read. She's Liza Manella. I mean, she's
- 10:49Speaker 1: a superstarfr mom was Judy Garland, Dorothy from the Wisdom
- 10:53Speaker 1: of Ours. I think I'm going to get the book.
- 10:55Speaker 1: What do you think, Donnie?
- 10:57Speaker 2: That's the thing. It drives me great. If you're going
- 10:59Speaker 2: to do a Mimi, if you are going to call
- 11:03Speaker 2: it tell everything, a biography, whatever you're gonna call it,
- 11:07Speaker 2: you gotta you gotta tell everything.
- 11:09Speaker 1: You gotta tell.
- 11:10Speaker 2: You can't just I mean, you're lies them, and sweet
- 11:13Speaker 2: you have seen everything, Honey, you had what you have
- 11:17Speaker 2: seen in the back room at Studio fifty four would
- 11:20Speaker 2: melt the pages of those those allegedly gay husbands. We
- 11:25Speaker 2: want to hear about it, sweetie. We want to know everything.
- 11:28Speaker 2: If we don't know everything, why buy the book? And
- 11:33Speaker 2: I think that that is the problem that she's going
- 11:35Speaker 2: to face this. People are gonna come out and be like, Oh,
- 11:38Speaker 2: she doesn't tell it, And people gonna be like, why
- 11:40Speaker 2: buy the book.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I don't think. I don't think she does it. I
- 11:43Speaker 1: don't think she tells. But it's still fun to see
- 11:46Speaker 1: Liza out there. Her interview on JMA was fabulous. We
- 11:49Speaker 1: love Your Lives of Manellia. I was her publicist for
- 11:51Speaker 1: a little while in New York. She was a really
- 11:53Speaker 1: fun client. She had no idea who I was. Yeah,
- 11:55Speaker 1: she called me Michael Yorke. She thought I was in cabaret.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Like she completely lost the plot and it was not
- 12:01Speaker 1: at the most healthy time in her life. I'll say
- 12:03Speaker 1: no more, but there's cookie, but there's a fun muster.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I mean, she's legendary. When I was with her, I
- 12:09Speaker 1: was like, oh my, miss Judy Garlands Caparey Caparey alone.
- 12:14Speaker 1: We love you, Eliza. Okay, moving along this story, I
- 12:18Speaker 1: find so interesting Conan O'Brian is emitting the moment, the
- 12:22Speaker 1: very moment that he realized Late Night and maybe all
- 12:25Speaker 1: TV as we know it is doomed. What did he
- 12:28Speaker 1: have to say?
- 12:29Speaker 2: So there's the viral like late the talk show. It's
- 12:32Speaker 2: called hot ones and it's where the celebrities eat those
- 12:36Speaker 2: heart ones.
- 12:36Speaker 1: It's very funny that you just.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Burn in your mouth and you're eating, you're talking, but
- 12:41Speaker 2: you're not. It's not a script, it's not a you know,
- 12:46Speaker 2: the publicists can't go in there and be like they
- 12:48Speaker 2: won't talk about this, this and this. It's like no,
- 12:50Speaker 2: they're having a conversation, talking about real things. And you know,
- 12:54Speaker 2: Conan O'Brien came out and said, when that came out
- 12:56Speaker 2: on YouTube, I realized Late Night is dead. And here's
- 13:02Speaker 2: the thing. I mean, we've done GV and stuff. Is
- 13:05Speaker 2: the problem with Late Night is you have you know,
- 13:09Speaker 2: these big wigs and you know a higher ups who
- 13:13Speaker 2: were controlling the narrative of the show because they have
- 13:17Speaker 2: like a former like of what it's supposed to be.
- 13:18Speaker 2: And it's like, yeah, but that's what's killing Because you
- 13:22Speaker 2: know Conan and those late night guys, they're funny. That's
- 13:24Speaker 2: why they got the show. They want to be more open,
- 13:28Speaker 2: they want to be fine, they want to but then
- 13:30Speaker 2: you have these people going, you can't ask that. Yeah, well,
- 13:33Speaker 2: the show's not going to exist anymore than says we're
- 13:37Speaker 2: dumbing it down.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, who played it? Yeah. I used to
- 13:40Speaker 1: work with Lilli Allen Velasquez, who took over E News
- 13:43Speaker 1: in New York. It only lasted like that six weeks,
- 13:45Speaker 1: and I remember talking to her and she said, one
- 13:47Speaker 1: of the problems, So there's lots of problems. One of
- 13:49Speaker 1: the problems was everything they said had to be filtered
- 13:52Speaker 1: through publicist agents, managers, celebrities, and so by the time
- 13:55Speaker 1: they said didn't think it was really boring. And then
- 13:57Speaker 1: other people are on TikTok saying the most outrageous things,
- 14:00Speaker 1: almost two outrages by I add, and you can't compete.
- 14:03Speaker 1: And so Conan's really smart. He said, fifteen million people
- 14:06Speaker 1: were watching this hot wing show, hot one show, not
- 14:10Speaker 1: even close, not like two million are watching the late
- 14:13Speaker 1: night shows, not even close. And he said, which is
- 14:15Speaker 1: really important, This podcast show, this YouTube show costs about
- 14:20Speaker 1: six hundred dollars to make the entire show. Conan's show
- 14:23Speaker 1: was really expected that to know, millions and millions and
- 14:26Speaker 1: millions of dollars, so more viewed, more viewers, less expense.
- 14:30Speaker 1: That's what's going to win, is the way that podcasting.
- 14:33Speaker 1: If you told me five years ago when we started
- 14:35Speaker 1: this little show that so many people would would listen,
- 14:38Speaker 1: and we really have really taken on some of the
- 14:40Speaker 1: big boys. I have a book coming gap in six
- 14:42Speaker 1: weeks or so. I know you look surprised. That's all
- 14:44Speaker 1: I've talked about. And all the traditional media that I
- 14:47Speaker 1: did five years ago, including the Today Show and GMA,
- 14:51Speaker 1: they don't sell books anymore. I'm better off, Donnie doing
- 14:54Speaker 1: a special. Maybe we'll do that, Donnie, you can interview me.
- 14:56Speaker 1: We'll we'll do a special podcast for all the book
- 15:00Speaker 1: and I bet you I sell more books doing that
- 15:04Speaker 1: then going on one of the morning shows. It has
- 15:06Speaker 1: changed and has changed, it has changed. Okay, we're gonna
- 15:08Speaker 1: take a quick break. We're not going to change him.
- 15:10Speaker 1: We will be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty
- 15:14Speaker 1: but Nice Show. Donald, you look lovely today? Why do
- 15:16Speaker 1: you look so nice? Where have you been? Oh?
- 15:18Speaker 2: I was interviewing a singer. There's a pop star named
- 15:22Speaker 2: Alex Warren and he has the song you would know
- 15:25Speaker 2: that I'm ordinary, I'm breaking it down, very popular. So
- 15:32Speaker 2: I had to get up and I actually had to
- 15:34Speaker 2: do my hair.
- 15:34Speaker 1: You look nice? Was he nice?
- 15:38Speaker 2: He? I think I fell in love.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Oh so sweet, Oh blessed British too, Darling, what's not
- 15:46Speaker 1: to love? Okay, let's get to the polls. Dad, last show,
- 15:49Speaker 1: we took it back. Brittany's family very reluctant to step
- 15:53Speaker 1: forward after the conservatorship backlash. Remember when she was in
- 15:56Speaker 1: a conservatorship. Now, her dad was no angel. I'm not
- 15:58Speaker 1: saying he was a hero he but I think he
- 16:00Speaker 1: kept her alive for a decade. I mean, yeah, he's
- 16:03Speaker 1: got one, that's true. He kept her. You know when
- 16:06Speaker 1: when he was involved, she was still performing. She was
- 16:08Speaker 1: not getting DUIs when he was around. And so it's
- 16:11Speaker 1: you know, these conservativeships, they're really complicated, aren't they. Look
- 16:14Speaker 1: at Wendy Williams. She's still with us, but she's under
- 16:17Speaker 1: a conservatorship. I saw her before the conservatorship. I wasn't
- 16:20Speaker 1: she wres she was gonna make it Donnie and so
- 16:22Speaker 1: I get it taken away people's freedom. You can't do that.
- 16:25Speaker 1: But with the other choices, they might not make it.
- 16:28Speaker 1: It's so complicated. Well, the family don't want to get
- 16:31Speaker 1: involved in this. Who can blame them? That is that question.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Can you blame them? Can you blame them? Let's have
- 16:36Speaker 1: a look. Eighty percent said no, you don't blame them
- 16:38Speaker 1: at all. After what happened last time, I wouldn't step forward.
- 16:41Speaker 1: The fans, her fan base are so ravid. If Britney,
- 16:44Speaker 1: if you try to help Brittany and she then goes
- 16:46Speaker 1: on social media and says she hates you and you're
- 16:49Speaker 1: taking over her life. Oh can you imagine the emails,
- 16:52Speaker 1: the people turning her but your your your apartment people,
