  This message is for those believers that's calling Jesus his Lord, their Lord, and is gonna do his will.

  Wife Respect.

  Your husband.

  Now, the minute I say that, all people gonna get offended because he says, wife, respect your husband, because the next thing they're going to say is, why can't the husband respect the wife?

  This is lack of knowledge.

  See, first of all, let's deal with that word respect.

  Respect is a positive feeling.

  Action that acknowledges the importance.

  Value or the right of others.

  I don't see why that's a big deal, but the world gonna have a problem.

  But let's get into the word where they're pulling this from.

  Paul is writing in the book of Ephesians chapter five.

  It really starts at verse 22 to 33, but the end of 33, that's when it says, and wife.

  Must see to it that she respects her husband now has the problem with the average believer.

  They don't know what the story's about.

  I'm going to take you deep into the scripture.

  A concept of God, so we can understand why he said that.

  So before I can give you what he was talking about back then, I gotta tell you what's leading up to the story.

  So in Ephesians chapter five, verse 22 to 33, we talk about New American standing Bible.

  He says, husbands love your wife.

  Just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for her.

  Well, if you don't understand that, you are not gonna understand the rest.

  There's definitely a lot of women that don't have respect for their husband because a lot of people don't have respect for themselves.

  I got respect for who I am.

  I know I'm a king and a priest, so I expect it to be treated a certain way.

  Regardless of how you may think, I know who I am.

  Most men don't.

  And now you asking a person that don't love themselves to love, it's impossible.

  That's why it's hard for me to understand how a person can be addicted to something, whether it's alcohol or drugs.

  We don't understand Jewish tradition.

  We don't understand that when a young man leaves his father and mother house, because now he's going to get his wife, he comes back to the same father house, he builds onto that house, and now they start a family.

  The wife leaves her family and she's joined to her husband.

  Up till this point, the woman never leaves home.

  She's always there under the protection of the father until she is patrolled and then gets married.

  So now that you, in Ephesians chapter five, verse 22 to 33, we are going in a deeper part of what we already covered because in verse 32, watch what he says.

  If you really can grab a hold of how deep this really is as a man, I decided my wife Brenda, she's gonna be my wife.

  So now I also make a commitment that I'm going to protect her and take care of her as I do myself.

  I'm gonna love her and cherish her as I do myself.

  And in the midst of doing that, I'm also in alignment with Christ and the church.

  And now I'm not telling her I just wanna sleep with you.

  I just wanna be with you.

  I wanna make a commitment to you.

  I wanna marry you.

  And we we stick that in there.

  You know, for better, for worse, for rich, for poor, until death.

  Divorce was never even an issue.

  Moses allowed them to do that because he said your heart was hardened and they was put the wife out with no sense of responsibility of how she's going to take care of herself because they did not go into the workforce.
