- 0:16Speaker 1: Second hour of the program here on Sports Radio AM
- 0:18Speaker 1: 13 Under the Zone.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Craig Wayne alongside the producer, Jay Carman. Glad to have
- 0:21Speaker 2: you with us.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Before we get into what I wanted to start off
- 0:26Speaker 1: this segment with, I do need to have another comment
- 0:29Speaker 1: about this. Because again, somebody asked, do you happen to
- 0:32Speaker 1: know if the UIL will sanction DeSoto in any way
- 0:35Speaker 1: due to them refusing to shake hands with St. Thomas
- 0:38Speaker 1: Aquinas after the coin flip? I want to make sure
- 0:41Speaker 1: folks understand me on this. refusing to shake hands was
- 0:44Speaker 1: incredibly poor sportsmanship. And DeSoto, the school district, said as
- 0:52Speaker 1: much in their tweet. They did say, we view this
- 0:57Speaker 1: as an opportunity for our young men to learn and
- 0:59Speaker 1: grow from their mistakes. We take full responsibility for the
- 1:03Speaker 1: conduct of our players and are committed to ensuring our
- 1:06Speaker 1: student-athletes uphold the standards of sportsmanship and character in that
- 1:10Speaker 1: our program and community expect, which is all good stuff
- 1:15Speaker 1: to hear from them. Is there a rule that says
- 1:17Speaker 1: you have to shake hands?
- 1:18Speaker 3: No, there's not.
- 1:19Speaker 1: But it shows an incredible lack of sportsmanship on the
- 1:23Speaker 1: part of DeSoto. And then they go out and just
- 1:27Speaker 1: get drummed. They're down 38-0 at the half to St.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Thomas Aquinas. And then they score two touchdowns against the backups.
- 1:34Speaker 1: They lose 38-14. Here's some other things to know about DeSoto.
- 1:39Speaker 1: They've won three state championships in the last four years.
- 1:43Speaker 1: They've built almost a little bit of a dynasty. And now,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and that was all at the 6A level. They beat
- 1:49Speaker 1: Vandegrift by 25 points back in 23. They, or in 22.
- 1:57Speaker 1: In 23, they beat Summer Creek by 60 in the
- 2:01Speaker 1: state championship. And last year, they won by 28 over
- 2:05Speaker 1: City King. Their average margin of victory in the state
- 2:07Speaker 1: championships is 38 points. That does nothing to excuse what
- 2:12Speaker 1: my point was going to be about this. A large
- 2:14Speaker 1: measure of the success that they've had has been built
- 2:18Speaker 1: on intimidation.
- 2:20Speaker 2: And it's been like that. I credit St.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Thomas Aquinas for not being intimidated by it and going
- 2:26Speaker 1: out and playing their game.
- 2:28Speaker 2: But does it have any place for it?
- 2:29Speaker 4: No.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Am I surprised?
- 2:32Speaker 3: Not really.
- 2:34Speaker 1: They have been historically a really tough district with Duncanville
- 2:38Speaker 1: and Cedar Hill and Waxahachie as some teams that are
- 2:42Speaker 1: some of the best in 6A. And they're in South
- 2:46Speaker 1: Dallas County. They have to have a pretty tough skin
- 2:48Speaker 1: on that. Again, excuses nothing of this. I'm just explaining
- 2:52Speaker 1: why some of that attitude may have happened over time.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I think it's safe to assume that you're not going
- 2:59Speaker 1: to see that again from DeSoto, that they will be
- 3:01Speaker 1: shaking hands. But no, they're not going to be sanctioned
- 3:04Speaker 1: or anything about that. It's just poor taste. It's poor sportsmanship,
- 3:08Speaker 1: no doubt about it.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Okay. Cameron Parker's here.
- 3:12Speaker 1: And so I asked him to come in so we
- 3:15Speaker 1: could talk a little bit about Scotty Scheffler winning the
- 3:19Speaker 1: Tour Championship, winning the FedEx Cup. Was it poor sportsmanship
- 3:25Speaker 1: for Scotty to put his hat over the camera there
- 3:27Speaker 1: in a clubhouse when he wanted a moment or two
- 3:31Speaker 1: with Meredith and the boys?
- 3:32Speaker 5: Yeah, from what I saw, it was that. It was
- 3:35Speaker 5: an a camera operated by an actual cameraman. It was
- 3:38Speaker 5: kind of like one of those remote cameras and stuff.
- 3:41Speaker 5: And I think we now know Scotty's personality is that
- 3:45Speaker 5: he'll do media when it's time for media, but when
- 3:47Speaker 5: it's time for family time and time to celebrate with
- 3:50Speaker 5: friends and family members, he wants that privacy.
- 3:54Speaker 3: You got to respect that about him, right?
- 3:56Speaker 5: Everything he does, you know, in the world of Bryce
- 3:59Speaker 5: and the Shambos, in a world of Roy McIlroy's, Scotty
- 4:02Speaker 5: Scheffler is Scotty Scheffler.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yeah, he is. And boy, was he yesterday on the
- 4:07Speaker 2: golf course.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I mean, I watched him on Saturday and I saw
- 4:09Speaker 1: he's down three going to the final round. And I've
- 4:11Speaker 1: seen him do what he did yesterday many, many times.
- 4:14Speaker 2: However, Victor Hovland looked really, really good.
- 4:16Speaker 1: And Hovland had already beaten him in that Monday playoff
- 4:18Speaker 1: in Hartford.
- 4:19Speaker 2: And I couldn't help but smile watching. This is Texas
- 4:22Speaker 2: against Oklahoma State.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:25Speaker 2: You know?
- 4:25Speaker 1: And if Ludwig Oberg had been close enough, there would
- 4:28Speaker 1: have been a three-way Texas-Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.
- 4:31Speaker 2: But Scheffler did well. his scotty type things uh yesterday.
- 4:36Speaker 5: And i know hovland for sure not can't remember for
- 4:39Speaker 5: scotty but they they used to play a golf match
- 4:43Speaker 5: play a tournament there in the fall at east lake
- 4:46Speaker 5: and texas was a part of that both the men's
- 4:48Speaker 5: and women's golf teams i know oklahoma state was at
- 4:50Speaker 5: one point so a lot of history there both collegiate
- 4:53Speaker 5: both on the college sides and professional and for scotty
- 4:56Speaker 5: i'm not sure how much you know he loved that
- 4:58Speaker 5: golf course but i felt like despite how much we
- 5:02Speaker 5: make fun of the FedExCup, Craig, and the Tour Championship.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I know you look down your nose at it. A
- 5:09Speaker 3: lot of people do.
- 5:10Speaker 5: I felt like that was an important tournament to win
- 5:12Speaker 5: for Scottie Scheffler, to win the FedExCup, because I believe
- 5:15Speaker 5: he's only won.
- 5:16Speaker 3: It once, if I remember correctly.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Two years ago, right?
- 5:18Speaker 3: Two years ago.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Yeah, Tommy won it last year. I believe Hovland won
- 5:22Speaker 5: it two years ago. And not to discredit them, because
- 5:25Speaker 5: Tommy had a great season a year ago. hovland did
- 5:29Speaker 5: too but it never scotty's been the best player on
- 5:32Speaker 5: the planet besides roy mack or the last couple years
- 5:35Speaker 5: and he only has one of these these championships doesn't
- 5:38Speaker 5: really doesn't sit right with me maybe you know it
- 5:41Speaker 5: could be the format the venue and of course how
- 5:44Speaker 5: the fedex cup playoffs work but also i think for
- 5:47Speaker 5: scotty too we've kind of been looking for a little
- 5:49Speaker 5: bit more in that final tournament and i think some
- 5:51Speaker 5: years he's gone in exhausted just from the long season
- 5:55Speaker 5: and the major championships. And then of course, gearing up
- 5:58Speaker 5: for the Ryder Cup or the President's Cup. But I
- 6:00Speaker 5: felt like yesterday was an important tournament for him to win.
- 6:03Speaker 5: And he did it coming back from three strokes. And boy,
- 6:06Speaker 5: I mean, he hit the crap out of the golf
- 6:09Speaker 5: ball all day long. His ball striking was phenomenal. His
- 6:12Speaker 5: putting was great. And Hovland, you know, he had what, three,
- 6:15Speaker 5: four putts that, you know, just lipped out or burned
- 6:18Speaker 5: the edge. And That's golf for you. You know, sometimes
- 6:21Speaker 5: those putts go in and sometimes they lip out. So
- 6:23Speaker 5: I think that's a huge win for Scottie Scheffler.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Especially coming off whatever hoof and mouth disease or whatever
- 6:29Speaker 1: the heck he had going on.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Ear, throat, and what is it? It was a mouth, hand, foot,
- 6:34Speaker 2: and mouth.
- 6:35Speaker 3: What is that?
- 6:36Speaker 1: I said hoof and mouth, like livestock. You know, like
- 6:39Speaker 1: I said that on purpose. Like sheep get and things
- 6:42Speaker 1: like that. It's a virus thing. It's one of those
- 6:46Speaker 1: virus things.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Is that from having like a kid or from what?
- 6:51Speaker 1: How do you get that disease? I've heard football players
- 6:53Speaker 1: get locker room stuff.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Oh, kind of like athlete's foot. But kids get it.
- 6:58Speaker 4: I mean, this is for like toddlers at preschool coming
- 7:01Speaker 4: home from daycare with hand, foot, and mouth disease.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 1: But you could probably get it out of a clubhouse
- 7:06Speaker 1: locker room too, I would say. But anyway, my point
- 7:09Speaker 1: was going to be, I agree with you. And maybe
- 7:13Speaker 1: this lends credence to your point about the whole thing
- 7:15Speaker 1: about the FedEx Cup and all this, because there were
- 7:20Speaker 1: those who were ready to make the case, if he
- 7:22Speaker 1: did not win, that maybe he was not the top
- 7:27Speaker 1: golfer of the year.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah. That he might not.
- 7:31Speaker 1: That there were two or three different people, they said,
- 7:34Speaker 1: could possibly, who had won more events than he won.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Now, he won.
- 7:39Speaker 3: what, two weeks ago at Memphis. Two of the last
- 7:41Speaker 3: three tournaments.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and then he had the, whatever, the hand, foot,
- 7:44Speaker 1: mouth thing that limited him. He still finished 12th in St.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Louis.
- 7:47Speaker 2: And then comes on and does this.
- 7:52Speaker 1: So it gives him the same number of wins as,
- 7:57Speaker 1: who am I thinking of?
- 7:58Speaker 2: Who's our U.S. Open champ?
- 8:00Speaker 3: Wyndham Clark.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Wyndham Clark, who was, some folks were kind of trumpeting him.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Because he won a major. Yeah.
- 8:07Speaker 3: And he had won three events.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:09Speaker 1: And Scottie only won two events with no major. He
- 8:12Speaker 1: had whatever, 18 gazillion second place finishes. What, he had
- 8:15Speaker 1: 11 or something like that? Some ridiculous amount? Or five
- 8:18Speaker 1: second place finishes and like 11 in the top five?
- 8:22Speaker 4: I know.
- 8:23Speaker 1: It was some ridiculous number that was way outpaced everybody else.
- 8:27Speaker 3: 13 top five finishes and 10 top three finishes.
- 8:30Speaker 2: That's it. That's it.
- 8:32Speaker 5: And a down year. This was a down year for
- 8:35Speaker 5: Scottie Scheffler. And he had 10 top three finishes in
- 8:38Speaker 5: three wins. There's some guys out there who didn't have
- 8:41Speaker 5: any top three finishes.
- 8:44Speaker 1: So here's the thing that boggles my mind. He gets
- 8:48Speaker 1: $ 10 million for winning yesterday. And he now, I read
- 8:53Speaker 1: this this morning, his career tour earnings, just career tour earnings.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm not talking about endorsements or commercials or anything like that.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Just what he's won on tour now is at $ 130, 400, 000. $ 130. 4 million.
- 9:14Speaker 1: That passes Tiger's 26-year reign. He won $ 121 million during
- 9:20Speaker 1: his career, including winning the FedEx Cup, where you get
- 9:22Speaker 1: that extra push, that bonus.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So I.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Think it's mind-boggling to think about. And Tiger, very classy
- 9:29Speaker 1: tweet from Tiger. congratulating him said three wins five runner-ups
- 9:34Speaker 1: and finishing the season number one those are some numbers
- 9:37Speaker 1: to be proud of incredible consistency all season long congrats
- 9:41Speaker 1: on a historic season scotty that was from tiger yesterday
- 9:45Speaker 1: so pretty impressive all the way around from for what scotty.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Did i mean obviously tiger is like a zillionaire but
- 9:51Speaker 5: can you imagine if you played with the purses that
- 9:53Speaker 5: are set up today i mean unbelievable right right yeah
- 9:57Speaker 5: no doubt about it because the scotty the amount of
- 10:00Speaker 5: wins that he has now in his career i believe
- 10:02Speaker 5: tiger got to it at 21 22 years old yeah
- 10:05Speaker 5: he would have yeah he would have yeah scott said
- 10:07Speaker 5: 22 wins yeah yeah absolutely okay um cowboys made the
- 10:12Speaker 5: roster cuts jayden blue didn't make the roster he may
- 10:16Speaker 5: get picked up well i put it this way the
- 10:18Speaker 5: cowboys at the very least would put him on the
- 10:19Speaker 5: practice squad at least if he's not picked up but
- 10:21Speaker 5: there may be enough interest on him doing that okay
- 10:24Speaker 5: so you're not watching the cowboys but you do keep
- 10:26Speaker 5: up with them so do you like the roster that
- 10:27Speaker 5: they have i like the coaching staff i like the
- 10:30Speaker 5: moves jerry jones made in the offseason i think they
- 10:32Speaker 5: had an incredible draft i mean most cowboy fans have
- 10:35Speaker 5: seen how good caleb downs has looked in practice and
- 10:40Speaker 5: of course it's just practice you know they're just playing
- 10:43Speaker 5: against each other there But, you know, I think as
- 10:46Speaker 5: a Cowboy fan, you can feel optimistic, I think, about
- 10:49Speaker 5: this season. But then, Craig, you're smiling there because you
- 10:52Speaker 5: know what happens when Cowboy fans feel optimistic. They get
- 10:55Speaker 5: their heart tripped out by, I don't know, Aaron Rodgers
- 10:59Speaker 5: or the Green Bay Packers.
- 10:59Speaker 1: But here's the thing about all that, and I don't
- 11:02Speaker 1: disagree with you, but here's the thing.
- 11:04Speaker 2: They're not the only team that this happens to. No, no.
- 11:08Speaker 1: This happens to a lot of teams in the NFL.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Think about it if you're, like, a Chargers fan. Think
- 11:15Speaker 1: how many times that they've, you know, had their hearts ripped.
- 11:20Speaker 3: All seven fans, you know, really have had their hearts ripped.
- 11:23Speaker 2: All right, all right. I'll see your seven and raise
- 11:25Speaker 2: your buffalo.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Think about buffalo.
- 11:28Speaker 3: That's true.
- 11:28Speaker 1: That's true. Detroit. Yeah. Yeah.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Detroit. You know?
- 11:31Speaker 5: Well, even with all the moves the Cowboys have made,
- 11:34Speaker 5: I do not think they can match up against the L.A.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Rams offensive line.
- 11:38Speaker 5: I mean, you got to be smiling through your teeth
- 11:40Speaker 5: with Aaron Donald returning, Miles Garrett.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I mean, good luck.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Good luck guarding those guys. I'm curious to see. I
- 11:49Speaker 1: know Aaron Donald is in shape. He's been working for
- 11:51Speaker 1: several months, but I've often heard coaches say there's a
- 11:54Speaker 1: difference between shape and playing shape and all that kind
- 11:57Speaker 1: of stuff, football shape. So I won't look down my
- 12:00Speaker 1: nose at it. I mean, he's a, you know, whatever,
- 12:03Speaker 1: three-time defensive player of the year. They have to start
- 12:05Speaker 1: the clock all over again on his Hall of Fame
- 12:09Speaker 1: way here at that time now, but I'm sure he doesn't.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Care about that. So, yeah, we'll see.
- 12:14Speaker 3: We'll see how that goes. Did you notice he deflected, though?
- 12:16Speaker 3: He didn't answer if he's back in on the Cowboys. Oh, no,
- 12:19Speaker 3: absolutely not. There's just no chance.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I didn't ask because I know the answer. I know
- 12:23Speaker 2: the answer.
- 12:24Speaker 1: They must qualify for the NFC Championship before he'll watch
- 12:27Speaker 1: them again.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Now, Harge, he's all back in. Him and Mark Henry, yeah.
- 12:32Speaker 5: I mean, they might get.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Were they ever completely out on them? They might be
- 12:35Speaker 3: getting paid by Jerry Jones. Were they ever completely out?
- 12:38Speaker 3: That's true.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I mean, nobody's been as out on them that started
- 12:43Speaker 1: out a loyal fan as you have been in terms
- 12:45Speaker 1: of being completely out on him, you know? So I just,
- 12:49Speaker 1: you know, I just wanted to check the pulse on
- 12:52Speaker 1: this deal. I wasn't expecting to come in to say,
- 12:54Speaker 1: I'm ready. I'll be watching Sunday night when they play
- 12:57Speaker 1: the Giants.
- 12:57Speaker 2: You're not going to watch, right?
- 12:58Speaker 3: I don't think so. But I will say, I think
- 13:00Speaker 3: the NFC East is up for grabs.
- 13:03Speaker 5: You could tell me now, In January that, hey, the
- 13:07Speaker 5: Giants won it or the Eagles won it, the Commanders
- 13:10Speaker 5: won it, the Cowboys won it. And I think you
- 13:11Speaker 5: have an argument for all four teams in that division.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Commanders.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Commanders. Really?
- 13:18Speaker 5: Jaden Daniels is a top five quarterback, right?
- 13:21Speaker 3: You don't think so?
- 13:22Speaker 4: I think he can be, but they got to keep
- 13:24Speaker 4: him upright.
- 13:25Speaker 3: That's true.
- 13:25Speaker 4: And they... had a center that it was that they
- 13:28Speaker 4: cut yesterday who was the starter for three weeks of
- 13:31Speaker 4: camp they let tyler biadish go they never addressed it
- 13:35Speaker 4: i keep waiting all day for an alert that they
- 13:37Speaker 4: fix the center situation they don't know who the center
- 13:39Speaker 4: is and.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Literally they just know it's not i think they're still
- 13:43Speaker 1: fixing the sewer in the stadium and then they gotta
- 13:45Speaker 1: get to the center.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Get to that all right uh the last thing i
- 13:48Speaker 2: want to go back to golf um.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Live Golf, they've been saying, we're out, we're in, we're in,
- 13:55Speaker 1: we're out, or people are saying they're out. They're saying
- 13:57Speaker 1: we're in, and yet we're hearing they're getting ready to
- 13:59Speaker 1: do massive staff layoffs. Will they be back in 2027?
- 14:02Speaker 5: I think they'll be back, but it might be, it
- 14:05Speaker 5: will be a completely different look from what we've seen
- 14:08Speaker 5: of Live Golf the last three, four years, and we're
- 14:11Speaker 5: seeing all these cryptic posts from, you know, Bryson DeChambeau,
- 14:14Speaker 5: who on Instagram said it was a good run. Does
- 14:17Speaker 5: that mean, like, he's done with Live, and The new
- 14:21Speaker 5: PGA Tour commissioner, Brian Rolap, who spoke with me this
- 14:24Speaker 5: past week, said they're not going to roll out that
- 14:27Speaker 5: returning program player like they did for Patrick Reed and
- 14:31Speaker 5: Brooks Koepka.
- 14:32Speaker 3: What did he say? He said, I don't see a pathway?
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Ah.
- 14:36Speaker 5: And that includes Bryson and Rom, because remember, beginning of
- 14:39Speaker 5: the season, they offered them a chance. Okay, join now
- 14:43Speaker 5: or forever hold your peace, as you might say. And
- 14:46Speaker 5: it looks like Rom and Bryson and some of those
- 14:49Speaker 5: guys decided to go down with the ship. Now, of course,
- 14:52Speaker 5: they may have been signed to a contract, and I
- 14:55Speaker 5: think Koepka's contract was up, and I think Reid's contract
- 14:58Speaker 5: was up.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Who knows?
- 14:59Speaker 5: Those contracts were never publicly made available, so we don't
- 15:02Speaker 5: really know, and who knows? It seems like a lot
- 15:04Speaker 5: of those players have not gotten paid for most of
- 15:07Speaker 5: their contracts, so if it does return next year, Craig,
- 15:11Speaker 5: I'm not sure. It may be Jon Rahm playing, and
- 15:13Speaker 5: Greg Norman might be with him, and possibly Phil Mickelson
- 15:17Speaker 5: if he ever shows his face in public again, but
- 15:20Speaker 5: If you're Bryson, he's got a YouTube following. He may
- 15:23Speaker 5: just end up playing YouTube golf next year in the
- 15:25Speaker 5: four majors. And Rahm, it seems like he's going to
- 15:29Speaker 5: try and make a return to more. He was willing
- 15:32Speaker 5: to try to make more return, more of the DP
- 15:34Speaker 5: World Tour offense, but it seemed like the DP World
- 15:36Speaker 5: Tour reached a contract agreement with the PGA Tour to
- 15:39Speaker 5: kind of push out live golf players. So right now
- 15:43Speaker 5: it does not look good for guys on the live
- 15:46Speaker 5: golf tour. And who knows what, what it'll look like
- 15:49Speaker 5: next season, Greg, but it'll look completely different.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Final thing here. Linda asked this question yesterday when we
- 15:54Speaker 1: were watching the ceremony. Brian Rolap, right? Is that a toupee?
- 15:59Speaker 3: I haven't seen a good picture of him. Do we
- 16:02Speaker 3: have one?
- 16:03Speaker 1: That part looks pretty definite. That's why we weren't sure. First,
- 16:07Speaker 1: she raised the question.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I said, I don't know.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Some toupees are a little better... Dunn than others. And
- 16:15Speaker 1: I'm asking the wrong person, asking Cameron about head hair.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Yeah, and I haven't gotten fitted for a toupee, nor
- 16:22Speaker 5: I don't think I ever will.
- 16:23Speaker 1: When you want to see a bad rug, watch the
- 16:26Speaker 1: Dodgers pregame and postgame when Jerry Harrison's in the studio.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I mean, it looks like they just dropped it right
- 16:31Speaker 1: on top of the dome. It's not good. It looks
- 16:34Speaker 1: like you could practice chipping off of it.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 16:37Speaker 5: Is it like Tobias Funke from Rest of Development with
- 16:40Speaker 5: his hair plugs there?
- 16:41Speaker 3: It's bad. That's what we're working with here.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:44Speaker 2: So I don't know. I don't know.
- 16:47Speaker 5: You may have a bad toupee, Craig, but I think
- 16:51Speaker 5: he's exactly what the PGA Tour needed in terms of
- 16:54Speaker 5: kind of beefing up. And the match play format that
- 16:57Speaker 5: will begin next season, I'm excited for it. I'm not
- 17:01Speaker 5: sure every golfer is excited for it, but I think
- 17:03Speaker 5: it's going to bring a new dynamic, and at least
- 17:06Speaker 5: it'll keep, I think, more eyes watching than in years
- 17:09Speaker 5: past the Tour champions.
- 17:10Speaker 1: What are they going to call the event here across
- 17:12Speaker 1: the highway from us? Where are they going to call that?
- 17:15Speaker 1: It won't be the good, good classic anymore. The good,
- 17:17Speaker 1: good thing is bad, bad.
- 17:18Speaker 3: It's gone. Bad, bad. Bad, bad. Actually, I was talking
- 17:21Speaker 3: with a few people today about it.
- 17:23Speaker 5: You know, it's being played at the Omni Barton Creek,
- 17:25Speaker 5: so obviously Omni, that would kind of make sense.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Maybe I think Yetis possibly could be involved.
- 17:32Speaker 5: I'm not sure, but what an unfortunate look for the
- 17:36Speaker 5: game of golf in Austin. Of course, it's no one's
- 17:39Speaker 5: fault here, but of course, it's associated with this tournament,
- 17:42Speaker 5: and now you're without a sponsor in We are two
- 17:46Speaker 5: months away from it. November 11th, I believe, or November
- 17:51Speaker 5: 5th or 6th is the week of that. It's LSU weekend,
- 17:53Speaker 5: I know.
- 17:55Speaker 3: 14th.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Saturday is the 14th. So it's 11th through the 15th
- 17:59Speaker 2: or whatever it is.
- 18:00Speaker 5: They will find a sponsor for it, and they should,
- 18:02Speaker 5: because I'm hoping for a great golf tournament. But, yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 5: maybe don't post an advertisement of a man pushing down
- 18:10Speaker 5: a female.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Probably not a good idea. Thank you. Thank you for
- 18:15Speaker 2: coming by. That's Cameron Parker.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Cameron will be with us on Wednesday because we're going
- 18:20Speaker 1: to talk about something else on Wednesday with regard to
- 18:23Speaker 1: Texas and Texas State opening their season on Saturday. We'll
- 18:26Speaker 1: get to that when we get to Wednesday. Up next,
- 18:28Speaker 1: we'll get to more from Sark here on 13 Under
- 18:29Speaker 1: the Zone.
