- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: We're living in a time right now where you could get paid to market your business.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: If you do it right, if you look at any industry or any kind of sector, there is commodity and there's premium and there is a decision to make.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: That is the psychological prison of most business only.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: One reason to charge a lot is so that you could create a lot.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: The greatest thing you can do for your clients is make more money, so you can focus on them and not to think about yourself.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: Either lies,
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: or trauma, we create an equation in our health, wealth, and relationships.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: If I say my price, they're going to say no.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know that.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: I have become one of the highest paid creators with my audience size.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: My first few millions was made with just one offer.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's literally that simple.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about that journey.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: How does a person rewire themselves?
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: Put the car in reverse to get to that.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I'll just break down the whole thing.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: So somebody's watching the question they're probably asking themselves is that question of what should I be doing for a living?
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: So they can take care of their family and what is their purpose you've been able to figure out your purpose You've been able to do it for a living and be profitable while still in alignment with your kingdom assignment and integrity So what would you say to the person number one?
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: We're trying to find their purpose
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: Dr.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: Miles Monroe, he said it in a way that will never, I'll never forget.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he said, you don't find your purpose.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: You uncover it.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: The, the phrase of find your purpose.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: Accent, insinuates based on the majority people's definition of it is that it's out there when our purpose our calling, our identity, it's from within and it's actually we probably life experience, bad beliefs, lies, have created layers.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: to keep us outside of truly operating from our true identity and so I think it's the same thing, you know, you teach communication and we use this phrase, how do you find your voice?
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well your voice isn't out there, it's actually yours and finding it is a culmination of
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: knowing why you're drawn to certain things, why you're drawn to certain voices, but then at some point it's a culmination that then becomes yours.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: By becomes yours it's like, oh this is where I'm at, you know?
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: So I think you find your purpose by knowing who you are and I think you know who you are, if you know who you are in Christ, and that's like a really court.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to...
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: Woo-hoo anywhere outside of that reality.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you were created by a God who loves you and when you know that you're God You know who you are.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like even in that right so all of us have had those journeys where we felt like
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: you're in this maze to define yourself.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I use, I posted on the rest of the day I was talking about looking for help in the wrong place.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: So we normally think when we're building something or when we're starting something where it's a podcast, where it's a brand, I need help.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I was talking about Adam and I said, he's looking for help in the wrong place that we've got.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's the question Adam, where are you?
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Adam is looking to close himself, to cover himself in a way that
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: And when he asked the question out of where are you?
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: You're looking for everything except yourself.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: So, and there've been a time for you where you knew you will gift it.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure you've always known you have a very, just, I think you're brilliant.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: You, my brother, you know, any time we talk, we... Every time we late-giving was crazy, people love it.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, I love the way you think.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: But we all know when you live inside your head almost, where you have this unique approach to life.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: Here's sometimes times that you're trying to find, who is your tribe?
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: Where, okay, I know what guys give it to me, but what do I do with this?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get a time of that for you, like, okay, I know how to do this, but where do I do it?
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I definitely think the activity that came easy for me was definitely creating videos.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I go all the way back to high school where I took the elective broadcast journalism.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I really enjoyed, I didn't have to make videos for the elective or for that class, because like over the weekend I would make my friends music videos.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: And my friends who played on the basketball team, I would make mix tapes for them.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: doing that stuff.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Now, when I got into college, I was going for accounting, and I realized that, oh, no, I was going for business information systems, or management information systems, and I just had a hard time with accounting, and I was like, man, but they had a broadcaster analysis program.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I had a, I would say that was like maybe I can attribute the hand of God in that in that awakening was like, why wouldn't I do something I enjoy even in this context in university?
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: And so I just changed my majors.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: And when I say college was a breeze, college was a breeze.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: Because I was like, they were teaching like the basics of the basics and I was doing all that, he's, bro, Loki's up the fly landed on your head.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: I almost wanted to be like this too.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: But it all it is.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: I love the natural thing.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: We are at park and some in David's hands has lost.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Dang it, David.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think I was just leaning into something I enjoyed doing.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: There is a saying, I don't know how true it is that if you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life, I don't think everyone has the benefit to love exactly what they do.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: What what you do does and fall in love with the outcome of what you do or 100% you can love Why you do what you do because I mean people we need their services in in life That that need to be done and if you could it's really just to find being okay with that thing you enjoy and it Visit bring the you know fulfillment.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're you're you're looking for because I have Friends in real estate that are really killing it and they would say I don't love real estate
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: But putting families in homes and helping people with their biggest investment in their lives and helping break generational patterns off their legacies like that's all amazing.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: So they have they found that what what they do does and that's what they fell in love with which keeps them going.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: What how long do you think was the gap for you from you know you find this thing you figure out I'm good at it It too I get to do this full-time You know, yeah, because you have a family what I don't you have both kids then Yeah, so of course you but there's a responsibility as a man that you want to provide for yourself for your family Yeah, so how long was that gap because here's what I find with most people
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: they find the fact that the gift, they reveal, I love the way you were, they reveal the purpose.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: Then it's like, how do I get paid for this?
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: Not a selfishness, but
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: When you get paid for it, you stop being selfish because you get to focus on people full of time instead of worrying about yourself.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I tell all of my clients, the greatest thing you can do for your clients is make more money so you can focus on them and not to think about yourself.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: So how long was that gap between man?
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: I love doing these videos, but I need to be to take care of my bills, take care of my family.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, if that's a question in the realm of how do I charge premium prices for my services, I think there's a journey of value you have to go on, and a journey of sales you have to go on, and by that, I mean, like the skill of knowing perceived value, how to articulate value,
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: And that, yes, one reason to charge a lot is so that you could create a lot, you know, but you look at any industry or any kind of sector, there is commodity and there's premium.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: And there is a decision to make.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I think most people want to be premium, or they want to charge premium, but they themselves aren't premium, you know?
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it takes the acceptance to like, if you believe your premium, then that means when you're met with premium opportunity, or...
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: A product three thirteen hundred our product teacher because it's green.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I'm a premium I'm a bro.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: No, I know why I know the price of that shirt because I saw my friend Neil wear a black one And he wears black every day and then I was like bro in the product and he's like oh, yeah Dude this thing was like 300 bucks.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: I was like On Timo
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then I go online, I was like, Neil, that was a $13 dollar shirt, you were off by a whole thousand.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, you're like a way too much about it.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's never between three hundred and thirty.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: But the gap, dude, I remember, okay, I think it's important to share this story.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: When I was doing agency-based work or freelance work, I was taking family photoshoots, I was doing weddings, small business promos, testimonial stuff for churches and non-profits and things like that.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: I did a photo shoot for this family that was really close to us, and at the time I was charging $250 for a family photo shoot session, whether it's for Christmas or graduation or whatever, and at the end of one of the sessions with this family,
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: with her name was Rachel, she said, here you go Omar, and it was her payment in an envelope.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: And she, I opened it up and it was like $500, $475, $500, I was like, Rachel, this is, this is not.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: This is not the price.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's only 250, and she said, oh, Mar, this is what you're worth.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: Ehh.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: I said, I'm not going to argue that.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm going to receive it.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I say yes to that.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm going somewhere with this.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then there was another current's why I had a client.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I really did blow up their business.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: They did lash extensions.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I blew up their business on YouTube.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: They became industry celebrities.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then they became the premium brand in the industry.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: in a short amount of time because it was white space and I asked every, every so often they had a huge win, they just decided to pay me more.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: A Omar, we want to pay you more.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: Am I going to reject that?
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm just going to say, okay, you know.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: And then, uh, I met with an opportunity a lot of people know me for working with Sean Cannot Think Media and, you know, he was like, I need some help.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is like in 2016 and he was, I was like, sure, I'm like, I'll help you for $50 an hour.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, how about 30?
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: I was like...
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm about 40.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, how about 25?
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, going down there.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, bro, you're going to the wrong direction.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: And at long story short, I said, let's just do it.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, whatever.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever the price you feel comfortable and what it actually did.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: was it created a belief in me when it came to charging that I am worth whatever you tell me on worth.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: It happened in a good way and it also happened negatively and it built a belief around being afraid to charge what I wanted to charge because number one I'm afraid if they're going to say no and number two I'll take anything more than nothing.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: You hold on.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: The reason why I got a pause there, that is the psychological prison of most business home.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: 100% and I've got to call it the psychological prison because it's literally it is a pathology of thought that in prisons people and here's the reality, they live in that prison when they're charging but not when they're buying because they believe that other people can charge more, which means you know that this is not the right of all the market.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: product in charge 1300, but we can't charge 1300.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: We believe that Louie can charge it, but we can't charge it.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I think to your point, you said something, when we started, they don't see themselves as premium.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't mean it to wrap your story about them.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's so powerful what you say it like.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I'm limited by what you're willing to pay me.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go into that in just a second.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: I will say, I know a lot of people have me, AKA David, to talk about YouTube, strategy, and like how to grow on YouTube.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I love talking about YouTube.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: I literally did a breakout session yesterday.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, who here wants it?
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: Who here wants to 10X or YouTube?
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: All hands go up.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, who here has YouTube premium?
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: No one.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: You want to grow on a platform.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: You're not even invested in, and they're giving you an opportunity to identify yourself as premium.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like, because it's an identity.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, you want to win on this platform and you don't even have a subscription to it, you know?
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, so.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: They were a few, they were the state that don't cover us.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we just crazy.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: Which tells me that they're probably not consuming the plot.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's like $9 to $1.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's some like that.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: And so, okay, here's what I've learned.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: People have probably heard me say this in the past, but if you're meeting me for the first time, this is important story.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: There's this term in therapy called a schema.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: And a schema is a limiting belief, but when my therapist friend told me about this, she's like, I found your schema Omar.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, what is it?
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: But it's essentially an equation we tell ourself and our mind.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's essentially an equation we tell ourself and our mind that isn't true.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: So if I tell them my price, then they will want to discount.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: if I charge a lot of money, then less people will buy it.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's an equation that we tell ourselves in our mind, that isn't true, and we live in that equation.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think another word to call it is a stronghold.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: The Bible word for that is a stronghold.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: Either lies,
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: or trauma, we create an equation in our health, wealth, and relationships.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: If I start dating again, I'm going to get cheated on.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know that.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: If I say my price, they're going to say no.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know that?
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you don't know that.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now, how do you number one identifying whatever that equation you believe about an area in your life that you want to grow in?
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's so important to write it out or like know it.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: and once you have it, you just change the equation.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: You change the equation to something that is more likely true or what is true.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: So what's funny is in the scriptures, there's a scene where Jesus is in the crowd.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: and there's a woman with an issue of blood and it says that she had to press through the crowd and she thought to herself.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: She had a equation in her mind and the equation in her mind was, if I can touch the hem of his garment, then I will be healed.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: She chose to believe that equation.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, the story goes she touches the hand and she gets healed and she's just like he touched me.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: But her self-talk, her belief, her equation in her mind, which I actually think that's a great way to define faith.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: That faith actually Hebrews 11 one says faith is the evidence or substance of things hoped for or the things unseen.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: So there is a level of your belief that you may be
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: can build it around truth, but you wouldn't fully know that.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: They're not enough.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: Because we don't know anything, like when it comes to the future.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: So if I charge more, that means less people will buy.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know that.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: In my case, when I started charging more, more people buy.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: Bro, what?
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then what's crazy is when what happens is when you operate in that, in the truth side, and you replace the equation in your mind, then,
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: When it actually works, it forever breaks that trauma schema, limiting belief.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: It just breaks it because it now you just proved it not true.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: And so yeah, in my case, I had my friend, she was like, dude, I know your schema.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: You're afraid of charge because you think,
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: you think number one it's better to do some business than no business and you also think that your price is why they say no.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: And so she just said she was like you have to know that when you when you put yourself an opportunity where you are going to share a price at some point.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: You have to tell yourself that if it's a no, it's just a not yet You have to tell yourself you don't do discounts because you need to Provide the services, you know, and so I guess that's a long-winded way to say number one.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's not long-winded.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: Okay cool.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost like if someone needs a prescription, may my friends start my magnesium last night, like to go to sleep in that kind of thing.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: And one of my friends, that's how you know you're on your health tip.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: When you're talking about magnesium with your friend, to go to sleep, so that you go wake up and go to the gym, even better.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then, so he said, he takes three of them at night, and I was like, why are you three?
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you take so many?
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: He said, oh, the dose that I take is 200 milligrams.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say, why don't you just get the 400 milligrams?
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: He said, yeah, but it's like $2 dollars more.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: I said, look, you're using an incomplete analysis.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: Take a more of them.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: Here's my point.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: If you didn't,
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: fully tell that thought you would have given an incomplete dosage and it wouldn't have the four prescription to eliminate their schema.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: So you should never shorten it.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because two things it comes to my why why are you talking so I've had these culture of points whenever I'm coaching versus consulting or leading and like now it's in me a minute sounds like that scheme of is I call a money script.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's a script or narrative that we inherit as a proclamity from family, for instance, if your family comes to us, that's expensive.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: You carry in mindset that things are more valuable than you.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's a money script.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, we don't use expensive, my daughter will say we don't value it at that price.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: because ultimately it's a decision there if you have the money nothing is expensive because anything that you call expensive you pay that much for something before right so the personal says the coaching program is expensive while driving the car that costs more than that and make no money off the car yes right
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a money script that we tell ourselves of value about ourselves, and then we also talk about this challenge of what we call money lies and we anytime you allow a lot of live it behaves as true for your life Yes, you get what you believe and you believe a lie you gonna get the lie and there we tell them so I tell people when they come into environments of coaching or leadership or podcast or just any industry, right?
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: I always say, if you tell a lie, I coach a lie.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: So you'll have someone in the room, which just happened, which is about a decent size of people in it one time.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: So instead of starting with coaching, I did a family night to get to know them and I was explaining some of them were, man, you go to impress me, and I'm saying, if you tell a lie, coach a lie, so if I ask you how are things financially, and you say, good, I'm going to avoid helping you make money, because you're good in that area.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: But because you told a lie, I'm coaching the lie you told me.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, are you clear?
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, absolutely, I got everything I need.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm saying that to say that schema, that you mentioned, that equation we create in our mind, that we believe is the perfect equation so the result we behave as proof in our life and we get more of that until we challenge that pattern to weaken essence, which challenge in our identity.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't, I got to reject that I am not that.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the most powerful thing that happens for me in business and I'm going somewhere with this is,
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: I've been mostly disconnected myself from the outcome.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care what happens when I do a thing.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: It has no impact on me as a person.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't feel like I'm a failure.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: Which I want to unpack because that's a very important process of becoming successful.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: Because you learn that, like, remove yourself in the outcome.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well, how can I remove myself in the outcome if I need to make an income?
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, port of family.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like I'd like to know that let's dig into that because I think they're there There is something about when it happens I don't think for me when it happened I wasn't well want to be financially But it happened because I made the disconnect because I think it's yes business is a spiritual act
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: you mentioned the whole idea of faith.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: It is when we project into the future and outcome that has happened.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then I don't want to post so much because I don't want to do too much.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: No one ever told you that you project to the narrative and no one told you.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I don't want to ask my person.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: They say no.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: You have faith in reverse.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: So let's talk about, like you said, that's a part of being successful.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about that journey.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: How does a person rewire themselves, put the car in reverse?
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: To get to that.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: Hey department fam, pausing the podcast to talk about this life-changing sponsorship.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's me.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sponsoring the podcast and the sponsor of this podcast is the content to cast challenge which is a five-day live coaching experience.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: I put on for creators, entrepreneurs, coaches, consultants, and service providers.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: If you feel like you're stuck in business or maybe there's more to business and to revenue,
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you that you don't have an offer problem, you don't have an industry problem, and you probably don't even have a sales problem.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: What you have is in a awareness problem.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: And this is why I have the content to cast challenge because I believe transformation happens on a two-way street.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: And how do you know if you're the right person for the content to cast challenge or you're in the right season, you're listening to this podcast.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_00]: This is for you, this is your moment.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: So to take the challenge or jump on the wait list, scan the QR code on the screen or check out the link down in the description below.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get back into the conversation.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: How do you get to the place where you can disconnect your self from the outcome or disconnect your emotions from the outcome?
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'd say both.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I think you know why I want it because like, I asked you to unpack it because I haven't really even thought that through.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, but I knew it was A.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: I did hear that that's what needed to happen, and I think in my humility of wanting to be a great student of life, if I'm on a pursuit or a journey and somebody I respect or hold in high regard says to do something or says I need to figure out something or think a certain way, like I'm going to kind of like go global in that sense to just receive it.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: But when I'm learning sales, which I think is just powerful, to learn sales, because it's everything functions on being persuaded to decide on something.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting your house renovated and you were persuaded to not buy a home for a million dollars more, but to buy a house to then customize it to what you're liking, and both decisions require process.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: And now you have more awareness of this decision that was created, but someone along the way persuaded you into that.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: Now, how do you remove yourself emotionally from the outcome?
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's having a deep-rooted truth in knowing who's really your provider.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: So good.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because...
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: If you operate by principle, because like business is a spiritual activity, but people do make the mistake to over-spiritualize outcomes in business, when God has created and governed laws and principles that have no respect or a person, and it rains on the just in the unjust.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: So, I believe if you operate in God's principles, it's easier to remove yourself from that stuff.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, one of the things you can test God in is in the type.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: He says, test me in the tide and see if I won't open up the fly gates of heaven.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, you know, give God your first fruits and he'll make your
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: Barnes and that's run over and burst.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: So like these are these are principles If you operate in the principles then you just let the outcomes take care of them self I think that's where the emotional attachment can come from and then there's also just on a spiritual journey
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus said you can't serve two masters.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: One hundred percent.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I believe if there is a, if there is hyper emotion around anything finance and that could be this afraid of making it.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: afraid of abundance, afraid of losing it because I know I know I know broke people who are stressed out about money and I know wealthy people who are stressed out about money.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: The reality is that if money stresses you out it's probably controlling you.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess I'm trying to articulate that the way you're going to emotionally disconnect from financial outcomes in your business is to find a source
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: and and and truth that could allow you to trust in the that whatever the outcome would take care it would take care of itself you know firing golden asked me to MC one of his events like last October and we were in a hotel because the night before and I was like all right so like what's the offer okay cool and I wanted to do the whole thing we do
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: So like, what do you need for me?
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, what do you mean what do I need for you?
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, what do you want to have happen?
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, let's just put on a great event.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, yeah, but like how much people do you want to buy?
- 25:46[SPEAKER_00]: And he was like, whoever buys buys, whatever, yeah.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: And he actually has arrived to a place that I even think we're still on that journey because we get so ninja about this stuff.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: That he's like,
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: I am who I am and whatever is going to happen is going to happen.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my, if no one buys, no one buys.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: And we found out nobody buys it.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: Is it our failure or do we just help a lot of people?
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, dang, that's the, there is levels to removing from outcome.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: 100.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think we're even in a season of, you know, we got team, we pay.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_00]: There is a, there isn't some level of need, but we don't let that desperation creep in.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know if I answered the question but no you didn't you I'm gonna tell you did and here's what I love about like whenever we sit now I Every time I talk to you when we do Pod or whatever I forget the camera No, for real this is literally how we talk with this.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: No, I feel like I last night.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: I was like We're the cameras Because we'll start geeking out so I'm a reverse to car.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: We met at an event a mastermind Where you will speak in here in Atlanta
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: And, uh, good friend of mine, me and my Davis was like, man, it's a guy that you got to meet the way you all think reminds me of each other.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, what you mean, he was like, man, he, you know, outgoing, but kind of meant like a brandy act, this is miss, he's a fake guy.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, who's the guy when I heard you speak?
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: There is a, uh, doing a Renaissance era.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: There's this guy who writes about another gentleman doing an era.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: He calls him a friend of his mind.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, that he thinks, I'm watching you and listening.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hearing what you're saying.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hearing how you're saying it.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm watching you speak, but hearing you teach because that's a loss art that I find in the space in two totally different skills.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: We kind of loosely connected exchange information and from then on, we just kind of stayed in touch and kind of built and built and built over the years from pot and then been in the same space and just watching your evolution.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: Where I don't think you had it when we met, you didn't have the pot, you know?
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, the department.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: I was figuring it out.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then shortly after that, we met in Tampa and that's when we really got connected because of the Uber rides.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: We left the airport to go to a better hotel and like there were these Uber rides that were 30 minutes long
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: We got to learn a lot about each other.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: They'll connect it.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: But here's why I say that, and love it so much, I keep telling people that when you lead with ego, lead with motive, you don't feel core relationships the way you should it.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: Where you didn't want nothing from me, I didn't want anything from you.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: We genuinely had a curiosity and an interest of getting to know each other and would navigate whatever journey that was.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: I asked that to say,
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: You made a transition.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: You were, I don't think when I, when we sat down in Vegas for the first time we fell, the pod hadn't launched him, just a conversation and we were, and you was like, man, I think I'm going to do this thing.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I asked because I want to go back to that, like the uncertainty and for anyone who's watching, this is B Omar.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: You got to add D now.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: You're that big now.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_01]: The over the department podcast which is incredible ground breaking if you have not seen it I think it's one of my favorite podcasts because it it's almost like when you watch I'm those shop reality shows where people were making and I'm it's like one of us Yeah, doesn't make sense.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's polished, but it's one of us that is a real human
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: interviewing people, exchanging a conversation that's rooted in faith, character, business development.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: But we didn't know it would be this big, so it'll take me back to the uncertainty, the that version of Omar.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: So good.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think it's funny.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: The reason why I was choosing so big because so many people just, I tell people this what you should do because I did it.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know what name it was going to be called.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know when I was gonna release it.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know a lot of these answers, but what I did have was a decision that didn't give me an out.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: Say it again, say it again.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: I made a decision prior to doing something.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: This is called a pre-decision.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think talking to Darious Daniels would call it a pre-decision.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: I pre-decided to do something that wouldn't give me an excuse to quit.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's so good.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to release a podcast episode until Jesus comes back, which is funny because when I say that art's like that's the out, and so that was all I knew.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: So everything else can fill it into that.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: decision.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: And so I had relationships and what I learned is that I learned people were really smart and I was really curious and I built relationships over time being behind the scenes with a lot of people too.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I did what I tell people to do, which is
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: Create a before you launch your YouTube channel start with start with four so that you have margin and so you don't you know run dry You know YouTube is a is a intentional consistency game and you give yourself the best options when you can create from a place of Kind of goes back to the desperation thing if you're not desperate for the upload well then you need to
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: You need to get some episodes in the can so that you can have margin to be consistent.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's why, because David was another conversation I had over the summer, he was just in Vegas, I was like, can we shoot a podcast?
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Marcus, him 500, we shot, and honestly it was a terrible conversation.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't release it, don't tell him that.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_00]: No, I told him, bro, we didn't go and he's like, no respect, whatever, he was just in town because he had family years on the other side.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: But I was just moving, you just moved, and then what's crazy is those conversations I shot before I knew I wanted to even call it the department, and all those things.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't have a name or any of this.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: You're just,
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: walking out of the city, taking the action connected to a pre-decision.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: If we, of course, it's hard to quantify success, because that's relative, right?
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: I tell people success is the ability to make yourself a promise and keep your word to yourself.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: So if I promise me I'm going to film and so Jesus comes back, success isn't the number.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: Success is me keeping my word to myself.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: So again, so a friend of mine was like, man, you know that whole, you're highly willing to do this and I said, all of it was keep my word.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm asking for you.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, there is some relative KPIs if we had to say beyond that definition.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: What's some of the success you've seen from the department podcast?
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: What are some of those?
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: Whether it's views, whether it is big wins that you, you should say, hey, this one I was excited about.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: What are some of the wins or success that you've seen?
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, there is obviously everyone wants to grow their subscriber base, which I'll say subscribers are more irrelevant than ever.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: YouTube is now a platform where the video singularly hold their own merit.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's like each video is supposed to hold its own merit more than how much subscribers you have because not everyone who subscribes to you watches your stuff.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: but passing that was really cool just because it was like wow this is this is well I was I did it with think media at the millions mark of one million two million three million foe and I'm just gonna just that was jazzy
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: So that was huge.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: I was really cool.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: What did you reach?
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: What did you reach now with subscribers on?
- 33:34[SPEAKER_00]: You loved it.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: Right now I'm at 180,000.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_00]: 180,000.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: And with, thank maybe you grew that to 3 million?
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was before I left.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it was 2.8.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: 2.8, number one, that is just, he's so humble.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: Let me look at him on a chair.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just like 2.8, Mirri.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's just because there's team, we're doing, by the way, YouTube's a team sport.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: You can't, you're not going to grow on the platform unless you have support in some context, community, a coach, a strategist, an editor, like you just not, because especially for the great minds, you're not supposed to,
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: worry about the production and stuff like that now we got to talk more more about that because I want to stay in the success of it.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: We got to talk more about which will go into your genius your approach to YouTube which is very different from most yeah and why you should be everyone's coach.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: I've been begging him to be my coach since I mean because I have a teamer and my schemas I don't want you to pay me.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like he knows I'm I'll consistently say it like
- 34:33[SPEAKER_01]: like, I'm one of those people.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: My role of them with money.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: If anyone could save me time and save money, take my money.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's my question.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's so good.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: The number one question I usually get asked by people like you is, Omar, how the heck does your videos look and sounds so dang crispy?
- 34:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the reality is it's the equipment I use and you'd be surprised how inexpensive it could actually be.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_00]: So I've compiled.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_00]: my gear and I've updated the list and I want to give it to you.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're listening or watching this, just hit the description box below and I'll send you my gear guide for every budget.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: Now let's get back into the conversation.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_00]: But what I will say something I was blown away with was the the real win honestly is the relationships it had and it's not even just
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: meeting great people, great minds, other people that are killing it in their sector, it's how deep I'm able to go and relationship with them.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there are people I have respected from a distance that haven't come on the podcast.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, one that comes to mind is Dan Martell.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_00]: Just weird, and then people may feel this is like false humility.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: Because I am genuinely surprised, like, I get a text from my ring.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Omar, can I give Dan Martell your number?
- 35:47[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: Number one, what world am I in right now?
- 35:50[SPEAKER_00]: Of course.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, yeah, and we end up doing a podcast together.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_00]: It does really well.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_00]: He was in Vegas, and then we did it again a year later.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just cool.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: Then just texting me, come out to Kalona wherever he lives in British Columbia.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know, even him saying like, dude, you honestly are incredible at what you do.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_00]: Your team is incredible.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_00]: And the,
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: the relationships and connections, like with you, David Neo, anyone who's on, it's the before and after conversations that actually is the, is the, are the magic that I didn't realize that would be so transformative to who I am.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_00]: Another great thing that,
- 36:31[SPEAKER_00]: out of the podcast, I just became much better at communicating, because I am watching it back.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm realizing I could have said that better, I could have slowed down, communicate communication, and then the last thing I'll say is, when I got into paid ads, I started running ads to things in my business.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: When the person who was running ads told me my return on ad spend is 1,400%.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, first I was like, what does that mean?
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, it means for every dollar you spent in ads, you made 1,400.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_01]: Dang, that's what you're like, I'll trade a dollar for $4,400.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sign me up.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, as much as possible.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then I realized that as you scale that number can go down, but brand allowed for that to happen, people were waiting for me to give an invitation through an ad, you know?
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, I think it's hard to quantify all the things, but what do you average in?
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: Do you look at like per video?
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: Is there like an average you look at or any of that?
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I would say there's a view count that I feel is healthy.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think 15,000 views on my hour, long, 90 minute long videos.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty solid.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: I feel good there.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_00]: The thing is, is the videos you think least likely to blow up, blow up, and the videos you try really hard on, like,
- 37:59[SPEAKER_00]: don't.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: And average of 15,000, so I'm going to give context into that.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's like here in Atlanta with a halt display.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: State former rain.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's less than 15,000.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: Is it really?
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's a small stadium.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: So of course, Mercedes-Benz is a bit.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: I read the football plays.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: So you had to think you're filling up a basketball every week every week You know that's significant.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you had a stat you mentioned some time ago in terms of you you are averaging out The lifespan of how many hours people have spent on your brand.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know that number.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I know in 2025 the night the In 2025 People spent 85 years on my YouTube channel 85 years of watch time in one year.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yes
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: And as a Christ follower, I feel like that's really good stewardship because time being a resource, then most people would argue we can't multiply.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_00]: There is activities we can do that could maximize time 1000% and that's why I believe in the one to many business model.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's actually a very good stewardship of time and even the podcast is in approach to do
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah dude, I mean, I would say I made the we kind of caught wind.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: I recognize when we're in slumps to you You just push through it and then it just you break through again.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_00]: I broke through a slump not too long ago with a Unedited video So this is crazy Art sick
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: and we plan on filming and it's been, I actually missed a week of uploading and I didn't have anything in the can, not falling my own advice.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_00]: So I literally was like, dude, for the first time and I don't know how long I'm going to shoot a podcast without art's help and I'm just going to put it out.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to upload it straight from the SD card.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I set the camera, I plugged in the mic and then did a couple of test shots and I made the thumbnail, made the title and then I just delivered.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_00]: I took the SD card.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: I dragged it straight into YouTube.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even drag it onto the desk.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, hold on.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: No edit.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: No edit.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: No edit.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: No edit.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: Just record whatever you filmed in that camera is what went up.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh wow.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: And right now, the video is sitting at like 110, 115,000 views.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I got to ring four of this.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: 100,000 views on an unedited video.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that's 36 minutes long.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, we got we got to get to I'm a book in this on the success piece and then we'll get into your brain surrounding you to Yes, I want to respect your time to you my brother, but I also Honor sit downs like this.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, so you solve like even my approach when I ask you for this I don't I don't take advantage of relationship because one of my core values is honor so regardless of the relationship is my job to manage
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: a person's expertise time and here's how I live and say everything.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe anything I ask someone for.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm your only ask 100.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm always thinking, will he do this for me for relationship?
- 41:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but let me honor and approach it with humility to say, do you mind doing this?
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to respect your time and this.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going back to this 110,000 on edit video.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's talk about also the
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about success of the relationship, the success of getting better at communication which is phenomenal, which you can hear.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: This is a sense of consistency.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: Guru Yabran, Guru Yabran, Guru Yabran, Guru Yabran, Guru Yabran audience.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: Do you, I want to do you mind talking about some of the revenue milestones around it.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_00]: 100.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to double check that.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: Do detect 121,000 views.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's still, it's just growing.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: This is insane.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: Revenue milestones.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like as a relates to of course, YouTube is one thing.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, Eric, you can get paid from YouTube, but there's also it flows into a business model on other things.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: But it's coaching also.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just break down the whole thing.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, we're living in a time right now where you could get paid to market your business if you do it right Okay, because Google pays you four views.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_00]: They pay you a certain amount of money for every one thousand views It's called a CPM and I think my CPM's around 20 dollars because I talk about business and finance and it's money conversation So it's a high it's a high CPM Mr.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_00]: Beast is probably like four dollars or three dollars
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: So for every thousand views, I make more money if we both got a thousand views, just based on the topic.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: But I think last year we made close to $90,000 from Google.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_00]: And the real crazy thing is the way I see it is you can, if you do content creation the right way for your business, you could take that money and use it for your business.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: Well, how do you make that, that pays for the salary of the full-time creative.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: You needed an editor, tutor, you need a shredder, that's a great salary right there.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: Or, why don't we take this $90,000 and put in ads?
- 42:54[SPEAKER_00]: 100% and just like blow it up for another more people.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: And so my strategy for my business is I use YouTube as a place to build depth with my audience and with people by helping them without really asking for anything.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I do sponsor my own podcasts with my challenge and I give my gear list away.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: Every episode, if you like how this looks in sounds,
- 43:18[SPEAKER_00]: Just grab it down below and obviously get you on the email list and then we're in communication.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_00]: I then seasonally, about every quarter, I will open up doors to my coaching program.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I do that through a series of webinars or master classes that sell a ticket to a challenge, which is the challenge I talk about in the videos, which is funny because I don't sell tickets talking about in the videos.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: But I know what it's doing, because we don't buy, you know, I was watching the Super Bowl and like Dunkin Donuts had a really cool commercial and it got our attention and I didn't go order a Dunkin Donuts in that moment but every time I drive by a Dunkin Donuts, I think about the commercial.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_00]: So that awareness play when I then have do this five-day coaching experience called the content to cast challenge is when I give the invitation to work with me much closer and that's really how I believe I have become one of the highest paid creators with my audience size.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_00]: I actually would say, I spend 80% of the time branding, marketing, and selling, and then 20% of the time fulfilling, which I think a lot of people will flip, it's flipped.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's about to have a hard time with content, is because they're trying to make their content.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: Their offer is their content.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like someone just asked me that's why I took me a bit to grab a bottle of water in the speaker lounge.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, I have a question.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, I have this podcast, and I want to help faith-based people share their stories.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, okay, but she's like, I'm getting discouraged because nobody's like watching there's no traction.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, well,
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: faith base is already I feel like when you say faith base you throw things out the window there are people who call themselves Christians that aren't Christians and there are people that are saved they don't even know they're saved so I say all that to say I was like you should just make have a podcast on the concept of storytelling
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: or make a podcast on the concept of communication.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_00]: Let communication be the North Star.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then if you help purpose-driven human beings communicate their life message, that's a great thing to support the podcast with, but you can remove yourself from the outcome of your ad reader, whatever.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: So, but that's literally, that's the best model, like it's literally that simple.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_00]: And actually,
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: I break it down into like three pillars.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's unlocking infinite content like if content creation feels like it's an event
- 45:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're missing it still.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_00]: If you see the ability to communicate something that happens in life and connect it to your business or your expertise, then that's like, you got it.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: This girl in my program, her name's Erica Lamar.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_00]: She's a real estate professional.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: She used to never show her face on camera.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then she joined my coaching program.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: She started sharing her face more, talking to the lens, started a podcast, everything.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I was so happy to see that she went to a family wedding.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_00]: in Las Vegas and she posted a real on her Instagram that said POV weddings in Vegas look like this.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_00]: So she saw something personal in her life and connected it to her business.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_00]: She unlocked the infinite content.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_00]: You're you are ruined in the best way possible when you start seeing the world through the way you can surf people.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_00]: So good.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_00]: Then the next step is ushering them into an intimate
- 46:53[SPEAKER_00]: and you connect with people, doing something in-person or virtually in a different context is the wall is broken.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: And there's just a connection that takes place.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_00]: And that could be a discovery call.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_00]: That could be a Zoom call or a webinar or it could be a conference or a Zoom event.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it's an intimate conversion event, which would lead to the next step, which is uncovering your core offer.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I've made millions of dollars.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_00]: My first few millions was made with just one offer.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, I never did, I didn't have a downside and I haven't upsell, it was just, you know, this is it.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: Can you speak to that number one?
- 47:28[SPEAKER_01]: You breathed over my first few millions.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: So that's just, well, when it happened, I was like, whoa, it happened.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you know.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: But the good part is your hit was down.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: You wasn't chasing the million.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't your no-stop.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: As well as you're saying, a couple times a year you open it up.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: You're spinning the larger part of your time, serving your audience, and you're not selling them.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: You're inviting them to say, hey, you're enjoying this, but if you want my help to help you optimize or do what I do.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'll walk you on this journey.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: How long are they working with you?
- 48:00[SPEAKER_00]: A year.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_01]: So for one year, and you're showing them from content to branding.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: What are some of the things that you're helping?
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: What outcomes you're helping in my campus?
- 48:08[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, my projected breakthrough for people, which I'm learning in the coaching space, people have their own,
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: definition of what breakthrough looks like, but what I want to help them do is make more money.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: And leveraging tools like YouTube and social media, leveraging the ability to have an introductory or signature presentation,
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, making their offer communicate in a way where people say yes, but my projected breakthrough for my coaching clients is that they first make back what their investment was.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you know, but like I say, I say it's a projected breakthrough because when people are like, when they come to Vegas because I do workshops to every quarter with them, they can come as many times as they'd like.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_00]: there's so much break through that happens there and everyone's on that journey so for some it it shows different than others like there's this guy named Chris Ward that's my program he signed up for a year or two and you always get more than what you pay for when you invest in yourself one hundred percent it because you get the one thing and then and then it keeps going you know but he he was like dude I I went from charging like 750 bucks for my you know
- 49:26[SPEAKER_00]: one-on-one coaching calls, and now he comfortably charges $10,000.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's mass of different and believes in the group coaching model, so now he's now it's scalable.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_00]: But then he's, I did my son's making YouTube videos, because he's watching me make YouTube videos, and he launched, he created a fishing tool, and he's making videos around fishing, and he's literally making money online.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: At 13 years old, and he's like, my wife, she just went on a walk and did an unedited talk about her, there are faith journey.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_00]: And look, it has 13,000 views.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not what I sold him, you know?
- 50:05[SPEAKER_00]: But that is the ripple effect of him though, deciding on, you know, breaking through what, the breakthrough he needed, he wanted, you know?
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: Take me to the moment you saw that you reached the proverbial million dollar mark.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: Mental, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, what's that feeling?
- 50:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I, well, I think, yeah, what was funny is like, I think I,
- 50:35[SPEAKER_00]: we know we we make we we will if you're going in business and you're doing pretty well and making a few hundred thousand dollars a year it's an accumulative years you have generated millions in revenue but but you don't feel it when it's generated that way there was a yeah there was a fall and it was just honestly it was just fall of twenty four
- 50:54[SPEAKER_00]: and we ran three challenges and it was like 1.4 million in that fall and it happened and I'm just going to be 100% candid.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_00]: That was 1.4 in gross income.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: Some people, it will actualize in a year.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_00]: And all that stuff.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_00]: But so that's why I would say when you're asking the question, what happened to you?
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing happened.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I do think it when you, when you something,
- 51:28[SPEAKER_00]: outside of us like you maybe you just hit something different because like yeah when when you are compensated for the value you bring to the world yeah it it it I guess the word maybe it justifies
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: your value.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_00]: And you now operate at a new level when you reach that place.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: Whether that's you operate that, I think I now operate from a different level subconsciously because I'd hit financial levels that no one in my bloodline has ever hit.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_00]: And so,
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think, yeah, I mean, but I was generous, dude, I was always, I would always ask my wife, like, can we can we invest, can we can we end their lease because they have a, they want to end their lease and they told me I'm like, like, we've always been once to be generous to people in our world so that when the abundance came, it kind of was like, I mean, that, I get God was right, God was right, you know, and I ask it not about the number,
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: I always say whenever a person is empty in an area you're full, they believe if they were full in an area they'll be okay.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_01]: So for instance, if the primary thing to a person is if I have more money I would be more whatever that equation is.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: they can't end their mind, they're mind around, they're being no emotion around the number, because in their mind that is the thing that completes the puzzle, is the thing that fills me up.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: So it helps someone to hear from someone who didn't have it made it to say nothing changed.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_01]: I began to express the same level of generosity at a different level, because I was plugging into another source that was fueling it.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_01]: It came from the predestision of faith that led to podcasts, pocket, led to this, this led to that, this led to that serving people, inviting people.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: And by helping, by creating that space, a guy who was selling for 700 is now selling for 10,000.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_01]: So, it's doing much more for multiple people when you say, multiple millions of things
- 53:38[SPEAKER_01]: I know the journey, I think about my own and my wife and I were talking about it.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_01]: And when we closed on the house, we had a videographer with us.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_01]: We just bought another house.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: And this one was one of those, like it's the first time I've said that we'll stay here for two years.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like 35 right you in the house.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: There's not a big deal.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: This one's one of those ones We was like, okay, this is it.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_01]: Well, here's the point.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_01]: She was in tears.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_01]: She like she loved the home, the square footage, the just the whole night, right?
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: And the videographer was asking me questions.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: Well, my videographer, he was like, hey, how do you feel?
- 54:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you've become a millionaire, you've just this, this is this.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: I said, man, the hardest thing I ever had to do was believe in myself.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_01]: Not make the money.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: The hardest work I've ever done is I'm plugging from the thing that fueled my decisions.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm plugging from the things that talk me out of it, you know, resurrendering my identity, which I was on your part, and I was telling you about this moment I had, is just break though I had a Mexico where God told me I had mistaken my identity.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I got so wrapped up in.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_01]: the brand, the idea that I'm struggling with.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what I want to talk about, but here's what they know me as.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: So resurrendering my identity to God.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, brother, the hardest thing I did was not make money.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_01]: It was literally believing in me.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_01]: The conversation of Moses, do you believe that you're a deliverer?
- 55:12[SPEAKER_01]: Conversation of Gideon, do you believe you're a mighty man of Allah?
- 55:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I asked that to say, what did you feel, what did you think?
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: To say, was it, do you feel like there was
- 55:21[SPEAKER_01]: This almost going back and rescuing and not to get too heavy with him but you'll get it.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's certain moments in our life in In business because businesses I think the greatest form of personal development is our core statement that I tell people You can't build a life or business bigger than you build yourself because all the merit sits on who you are or who you're not The business sits on who you are or who you're not the resources the finances So it forces you to grow to sustain it
- 55:47[SPEAKER_01]: So when you grow to a place like yourself, growing influence, me and growing as a person.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_00]: Keep it.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_00]: I wish my mom had it.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm watching your chain route and I'm such a friggin'.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_00]: Oh no, I'm such a friggin'.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: I won't tell to see this.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_01]: Look, no, you can't help it.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_01]: I can't do it.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see me watching?
- 56:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you're changing.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_00]: The chain was touching.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_00]: I can't do it.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: You can't do it.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, keep it.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: Leave it like deep holes around and tuck this in.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: No, you don't, no, keep it.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's a good.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so please keep this in too.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_01]: We got it.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_01]: We got a show.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_01]: This is really what we use.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's eating it from a YouTube and audio standpoint.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's greedy.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_01]: So here's the point.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_01]: You'll restart and place the business in life, and ultimately you're going back and rescuing a version of yourself.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_01]: that whatever life happened, locks you into that belief, locks you into that idea.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_01]: So on, I don't think it's a money amount or a milestone, but do you feel like there's a point where this version of Omar rescued the old version of yourself from whatever limiting belief mindset.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my goodness.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_00]: I guess from the beginning of the conversation talking about being afraid to charge, I think it actually,
- 56:56[SPEAKER_00]: happen when I bought my home too.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny how you have like the home buying thing because buying a home as a man, it's a crazy concept, you know, as simple as it is because like you lived in high luxury high lofts.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes I love the concept of like amenities and stuff, but no, I remember it was, it was, uh,
- 57:18[SPEAKER_00]: to do to it was that fall.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_00]: The fall where that happened, you know, we passed the seven figure mark, I bought a million dollar home.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there's something to say because when we were right, when we were growing up, we looked at proverbial mansions or homes in the millions.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_00]: And it seemed so far away.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_00]: 100%.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 57:43[SPEAKER_00]: We weren't even in the market, but I love to go on Zillow, and I still go on Zillow, and I'm happy with her home And I just remember seeing this house and And walk down like this is a unique.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_00]: This is a dope house in this neighborhood usually that they don't make them like this in the suburbs, you know, but it was actually
- 58:03[SPEAKER_00]: It was buying a million dollar house that I feel like it did more than actually making a million dollars in my business.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_00]: And that was because, and again, it's like, yeah, it's not about the amount.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's just more like what it was, what it was to us when we were younger, seeing great living, you know.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_00]: And even provided that for your kids.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my goodness.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, do we just signed?
- 58:27[SPEAKER_00]: This is how much I actually found that.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_00]: When we make big decisions, when we consider our kids, that's when God blesses it, you know?
- 58:37[SPEAKER_00]: We've been debating putting a pool in our backyard.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_00]: Our house should have a pool.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like that kind of neighborhood and we have the space to do it.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like, there's 125,000 dollars to put a pool in, brother.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just get a jacuzzi and call it a day.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_00]: But when I ask other parents that have pools, they're like, do the kids are in it all day, everyday.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's memories you create.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's invaluable.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, so we just recently signed to the Breakground in a couple of weeks.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_01]: I got to come back.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_00]: I know 100.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_00]: But that's a kid, that's a kids decision, you know?
- 59:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's what we're having fun doing, right?
- 59:16[SPEAKER_00]: Is shaping their worldview.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're seeing their parents live their dreams, help and serve people.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_00]: And they're seeing that we're financially taking care of in that order, like in that order.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_01]: You kind of bring Ruby back on, man.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_01]: The episodes of you and Ruby, I smile from ear to ear, just watching, I'm a one.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_01]: How brilliant she is.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I saw you posted something as well, showing her serving in your church.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_01]: So what I love about it is, like, you're showing, you can do it God's way.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: You still serve it to church.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_01]: You spoke recently, I sent a message to you, I saw you speaking at your church.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_01]: You're active.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_01]: You're present at your church.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_01]: You serve.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_01]: You show up for your community I see how you are with date night with your wife and I think that whole list of approach is Something that shows people.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, this this is really wealth from what it's freeing yourself up to be able to do these things so
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: One more thing on humanity, and then I want to circle the block and go to the unedited video.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, all right.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_01]: I want to make sure.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: I've got to ask as you do this.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_01]: How am I doing interviewing?
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to get better, man.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's really good.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the thing is, like, the magic is in the conversation.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_00]: Gotcha.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if we want this conversation to thrive, it would be very important that we consider, and that's why it's important to have your title in advance before, because it could
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_00]: focus the conversation at least in the beginning.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing wrong with having a framework of your for conversations.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_00]: You just have them, you just want to make sure that the topic is in alignment for the first while of the video.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then we can, and then you can kind of like take things around.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wait, man, I get some coaching.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_01]: This is what, this is what I love.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm, I'm always a student, so I always ask a million questions.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_01]: to your point.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_01]: So you're saying, we must well build there.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_01]: You start with the thumbnail.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_00]: I start with the idea.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_00]: The idea or I think the other word is topic, we'll keep it 30, 40s just so people can remember it.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_00]: It starts with the topic.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_00]: All great YouTube videos are predicated on the topic itself.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's why we click on videos like I
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_00]: didn't eat sugar for 30 days.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_00]: I hit in Disneyland for 48 hours and no one caught me.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like these are topics.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_00]: Now obviously on the more practical educational side, but the principle still persists.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_00]: What is the topic?
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_00]: that we're going to attack and and that's where you know after topic comes title topic then title so then when you when you land on a few titles and what's cool about youtube is now you could test titles so you should you should come up with three titles that this conversation will be about
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_00]: which will then influence the thumbnail.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_00]: The thumbnail is the picture of the video.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_00]: And what's funny is, although YouTube is a long-form video consumption platform, it's really a...
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_00]: packaging decision platform.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_00]: People are deciding to watch a video.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like on socials on Instagram or Facebook where you scroll and you're served the video regardless you decide on watching it or not.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_00]: 100% you are served the video to watch it on YouTube.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_00]: The consumer is making a decision based on the packaging from the topic, the title and thumbnail.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_00]: So then, because I found that even like long videos on YouTube, I never have to worry.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_00]: When I do content hotseats, I never have to watch the full video.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_00]: Because no one's gonna watch the full video if you didn't get the click.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_00]: So, so let's try and get the click so that you don't waste your efforts, you know?
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_00]: The next thing you want to
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_00]: think through and want to be strategic in is your first 30 seconds.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like the 40s of YouTube.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's topic title thumbnail first 30 and the first 30 seconds are so important because if someone made the decision to watch a video, are you reassuring them and giving them reasons to stay rather than leave?
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_00]: And in that first 30, I have a YouTube intro.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_00]: checklist and it's, I found that every YouTube video and I do it for myself.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_00]: Everything I'm talking about, I apply with myself is you want to hit these three things.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_00]: You want to hit Clarity, Comprehension, and Credibility.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_00]: Clarity, Comprehension, Clarity, Comprehension, and Credibility, okay?
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_00]: So you want to reassure the person that clicked that made the decision on the title and thumbnail that they clicked on the right video.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_00]: So sometimes that's restating the title.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_00]: I like enrolling the audience with their pain or with their desires.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_00]: So that could be a question phrase.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_00]: Do people ask you, can I pick your brain?
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_00]: And you're like, geez, if I can only get paid for this?
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_00]: Well, did you know that you could actually charge people for what you know?
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's comprehension.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_00]: In this video, I'm going to break down how I've made millions and how you can make an extra $100,000 getting paid for what you know in less than 10 seconds.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_00]: So here's what's funny, like in the consumption journey, we're consuming because of dopamine.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_00]: When you're really good at this, you release dopamine for them to stay in that leave.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting, and that's why they stay.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_00]: They stay because like,
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_02]: I can get paid for it.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_02]: I can charge a lot of money for something I know.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like they're literally processing what you're saying.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_00]: So they're too busy processing to click away.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_00]: But that happens when you're, when you're great at asking questions, and so on.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_00]: So clarity, comprehension, credibility, and it can happen in any,
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_00]: You could say, you know, I remember my friend, my friend's friend, Shiran Shirisa Shavarista, he says, you know, I've spent a couple of years working for Goldman Sachs and I helped them raise a billion dollars in that's that's a credibility phrase if you've helped somebody even credibility from current events
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if something happened, you don't have to be the credibility.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but that's why when I when I introduce guests or when I we frame the intro We many times my the water.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_00]: Oh No, I'll just make shot and lose my oh Oh and so yeah, I mean, so that's it and then it's like just get right into it, you know, so
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'll break down a real-life example, you know, I got hit up by Dan Martell to do another podcast.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, I'm going to be in Vegas.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_00]: He wanted to do it in podcast.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, let's do a life podcast.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_00]: I can invite people to the studio and stuff, and he's like down.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_00]: So then it goes, so now it starts, what is this conversation going to be about?
- 1:06:31[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_00]: So then it's like, well, right now he's on his AI tip, and
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_00]: specifically Claude, so let's have a conversation specifically on that and that's already clarity.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to ask him how he made money.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to ask him like he's like, yo, why not chat JBT anymore?
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like now we can start from, but if I'm packaging it and we can get to that question as soon as possible, like we're literally staying true to our word, and then
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then I got later in the conversation, so it happened, we did it, we did it, it did well, the video still crushing.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_00]: But later in the conversation, I'm like, dude, you're now, you know, one of the go to AI experts, but you speak so simply about AI, where'd you learn how to speak?
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you can go and sell the piece.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, how did you learn to speak in frameworks?
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I got you at the AI thing, we gave you the AI thing,
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then hopefully we earn the right to be able to talk about something else.
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I tell you I'm loving this because I'm learning it.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_01]: If we were anywhere else, you know, I would pull up my phone right now.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to resist the urge.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think since it's my show, I'm going to start just doing that with someone.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_00]: So here's what's crazy.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what you can do, because the way that here's what I don't want to happen, I don't want you or someone like you to be so obsessed with what I just talked about.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's just to be aware of it, and you can genuinely, in post your editors could even frontload the YouTube stuff.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_01]: and then we can you can go into the life stuff got you know um no i am gonna be obsessed with it here's one okay if someone has had success and they tell you this is the formula you are crazy to say wouldn't be better if we just sure yeah hey this is the way that you build this uh i haven't been able to but maybe i should no i'm gonna listen oh yeah i've got the four t's and three c's start writing it because i love how you start your videos
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_01]: Even one of the ones we did, I watched a few times how you started our preparing for this.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_01]: I watched a few different things you did as well as one of the recent ones of Charging $3,000 in the roundabout that.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_01]: I saw a few other videos you've done, I love how you pose a question, answer it simply, and then I even love the clip hanger, how it looks like the answers about Nicole.
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, then your logo come up and transition.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, this, it, it hooks me and makes me want to hear the answer to the question which is found later in it.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love the way you do it.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_00]: For sure.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_00]: No, I, uh, you know, it's funny is you can upload less content.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_00]: If you create content in a way that needs to be consumed multiple times.
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm packed that.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm packed that so when you get when you get good like I think That's the reason why I can't we could focus all our attention on the weekly upload.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_00]: We can do that because Our efforts of uploading once a week where everyone's telling you you guys show up six times a day You gotta you gotta go everywhere.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_00]: You gotta post everywhere
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm getting comments like this is my fourth time watching it this time I'm taking notes.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting questions like, well, I have to hear this back, I'm loving this episode.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like, because it's so rich and in value, this is why I love long form.
- 1:10:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's so rich and value, you can't get one thing out of the one sitting.
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_00]: And you might have, you were multitasking when you were consuming it the first time.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, now you're like, dude.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_00]: the answer to my life right now is in this conversation.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_00]: I need to see, you know, watch it back.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the other approach.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_00]: If we can just upload content that's worth being consumed more than once, then it's done.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's doing a lot more heavy lifting, you know, I'm saying.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_01]: Walk me through.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_01]: Because I think someone needs that needs that.
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm telling you all the advance.
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to try an edit video.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_01]: So walk me through it.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a theory, but if you do what I said about YouTube, you don't have to rely on the production value.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you communicate clearly and you hit those those things that the YouTube Trinity and this intro.
- 1:10:53[SPEAKER_01]: In the future and in the plot.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_01]: No 100.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_01]: The whole time.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:10:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what it is.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's our colon or something.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_00]: First, it's realizing that you don't need editing to amplify great communication.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_00]: If you are clear and precise and you understand that there are human beings that want to learn that way as opposed to hyper-edits, sound effects, motion graphics and all that stuff.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there's a belief there that you want to, you know, hit tack on, is it on my hair now?
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_00]: If you, if you do have an outline of what you want to talk about, but you dial in your hook.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_00]: then you can just deliver the information.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_00]: And all editing, like when art even edits and a podcast intro to be cinematic and super fun and stuff, it takes a lot of time.
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_00]: And it does probably kick up the potential viewership, but sometimes we don't need to do that.
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, so I just shot a video.
- 1:12:10[SPEAKER_00]: I had an enrolling question.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_00]: Clarity credibility comprehension went right into it.
- 1:12:17[SPEAKER_00]: I would say I essentially feel like I felt like a gap session from my point of view.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_00]: But it was concise and it was clear and I had to start in an end.
- 1:12:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then I just uploaded it.
- 1:12:26[SPEAKER_00]: So the key is, the key is back to it's great packaging.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_00]: And so if you're going to upload one of your next videos and it not be edited,
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_00]: just literally bring a training, like bring a concise thought for people to learn and just, yeah, don't edit it.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_00]: And my thing is that that's also a principle in the obstacle of creating content.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to build a personal brand and you want to be consistent and you want to reach a lot of people, whatever obstacle or hindrances that are in the way, remove them completely.
- 1:13:02[SPEAKER_01]: So with the unedipized, you're front loading,
- 1:13:05[SPEAKER_01]: the thought process versus backloadment from the added in the direction you're thinking you're spending more time before you press record okay we're front loading this we're outlining it's almost you treat it like if I'm getting a safe to do presentation why not the every great youtuber will tell you the the work you do before the recording determines the success of the recording
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_01]: I love that so much, you said something that I believe we can kind of transition now to it.
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_01]: You said anything that's in the way of consistency removed the obstacle.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's big because, oh, I want to upload more content, but I don't have added that.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_01]: I want to upload content, but I don't know what to say well, planet that map it out.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_01]: One continued thing is conversation.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I would ask for anybody that's watching.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_01]: that wants to have a one, grow on YouTube, grow a personal brand.
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_01]: What is one thing they should not do and what is something that they should do?
- 1:14:05[SPEAKER_00]: Something they shouldn't do to grow on YouTube, to build a personal mind.
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_00]: You shouldn't make random videos.
- 1:14:14[SPEAKER_00]: People are under the impression that people care about your life and know people care about themselves.
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_00]: So make videos around things they care about and stick with it.
- 1:14:25[SPEAKER_00]: So you shouldn't make videos.
- 1:14:29[SPEAKER_00]: about you, make it about them.
- 1:14:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess that's like what you should do.
- 1:14:34[SPEAKER_00]: But it is, it's pick a North Star.
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_00]: I like to call it a broad appeal of your channel that there's an expectation of information that I'm going to receive.
- 1:14:46[SPEAKER_00]: by clicking any of your videos and that will create a level of confidence from the consumer because they know what they're getting into.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:14:58[SPEAKER_01]: I also love a well.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody has watched this.
- 1:15:01[SPEAKER_01]: No, we want to tell them how they can connect with you, how they can work with you.
- 1:15:04[SPEAKER_01]: You should definitely hire them as your coach.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_01]: I've been begging them for four years, so he might tell you, yes, I don't know.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_01]: How can they work with you?
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_01]: How can they subscribe to your potting?
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_01]: Get into your world or mobile.
- 1:15:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I would just say follow me on Instagram or YouTube if you like the conversation around growing your business through modern marketing, personal branding, and the AI conversation which is happening.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's the department with Omar's Cory, which is my podcast and then I would say when you're ready, take the next step.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_01]: When is your next opportunity for them to work with you?
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm doing a five day coaching experience that I call the content to cast challenge.
