Boater Saves Woman from Alligator Attack | Texas News
A woman lost her right arm in a terrifying alligator attack on the Silver River, but a quick-thinking boater named John Gamache saved her life—using a rope as a tourniquet to stop bleeding and pulling her and others to safety. His heroic actions, along with those of his father, helped get everyone to shore before first responders arrived. The nine-foot-eight-inch alligator was captured and removed, allowing the river to reopen. The victim’s family has since thanked Gamache for his lifesaving bravery.
