Today's chapters introduce us to John the Baptist, the voice crying out in the wilderness, preparing the way for the coming Messiah. We will witness his call to repentance, the baptism of Jesus, and the powerful moment when heaven opens and God the Father declares His pleasure in His Son. We also begin to see Jesus step into His public ministry, bringing hope, truth, and the promise of salvation to the world.
