- 0:23Congratulations, you have made it. It's a Fried day. It's time to
- 0:33leave your worries outside. Take all the stresses from the week, throw them
- 0:37in the trash, and hang out with your buddies, Me, Daniel Maley,
- 0:42Trade Trenholm, and Raj Sharma inside the treehouse. Oh man, it
- 0:50has been a big week in Dallas Fort Worth, not just for us as
- 0:57sports fans, as basketball fans, but also just you know, fans of
- 1:06people that do mostly good things. And I'm pretty sure the only person that
- 1:12couldn't be happier in Dallas for Worth is Mark Cuban. He is, you
- 1:21know, I've you can write books on being the greatest negotiator or whatever it
- 1:26is that you say about yourself, But when someone actually does it and seemingly
- 1:34negotiates a deal to not only make three and a half billion dollars but still
- 1:40maintain operational control of the Mavericks franchise, I mean yeah, I mean well
- 1:48time. Because the lady that he's selling the team to is no idiot.
- 1:53I mean, she's worth like thirty six billion dollars, so that usually doesn't
- 1:57happen by accident. And even if she is a moron, she's got plenty
- 2:01of people around her that or not, they managed to get this thing done
- 2:06and it's one of those that we didn't even hear about it until it was
- 2:09done, and it kind of kind of shocked everybody. Yeah, but the
- 2:14person that he's selling it to is also nine hundred years old, so I'm
- 2:17pretty sure she just wants to amass all the wealth. And so when he
- 2:22came with the deal, like hey, or maybe she didn't turn her hearing
- 2:24aid on, I don't know what it was, but maybe he tricked her
- 2:28and was like, hey, listen, I'm gonna give I want you to
- 2:30give me three and a half million dollars and she's like, okay, that's
- 2:32a drop in the bucket for me. And then I'm also going to remain,
- 2:35you know, keep control of basketball operations if that's okay with you.
- 2:38And she's like what and she's like He's like, yes, sign here and
- 2:44yeah. Because she doesn't want to be there, there's no way you don't
- 2:46know that she might be she might be an MFFL. I don't what does
- 2:53that stand for? Wife? Huh? How have you lived in Dallas the
- 2:58last fifteen years? I don't know that. I don't know what that's say
- 3:01it again, m F f L. I've seen it everywhere, T shirts,
- 3:08banners. I don't. I don't hang out where you hang out.
- 3:12I don't know, Like, wait, what does it stand for? Mavericks
- 3:15over this? It has been all over this city. Oh yeah, I
- 3:20know that, Okay. I didn't know they they'd shortened Mavericks fan for life.
- 3:23I didn't know they'd made it a thing. Got uh, I don't.
- 3:27I'm pretty sure she invented basketball. That's who he's selling it to.
- 3:30The original was her. She was It was actually her, not James Nasmith
- 3:34exactly. She's yeah, but you know it was back then, like women
- 3:38weren't allowed to get credit for anything. So he was like, hey,
- 3:40show me where where to put this little ring in the ball, and like,
- 3:44this is a game I play on the farm. And he's like,
- 3:46we're going to make this mainstream. And now she's taking it back in twenty
- 3:49twenty three, and good on him, man, he's he's one of the
- 3:53luckiest people world. Broadcast dot Com we all remember that when he started that
- 3:58and then sold it, and Time magazine called it the three billion dollar mistake
- 4:02because they they did nothing with broadcast dot Com like it just went nowhere,
- 4:08like uh, and then I was that was how it was. Yeah,
- 4:13And not only was he brilliant and he sold it, but then he the
- 4:16minute he could, he dumped all the Yahoo stock and took the cash.
- 4:21Yeah, that's exactly what it was. And that's why Time magazine said,
- 4:25Yeah, yeah, who makes a three billion dollar mistake? I think it
- 4:26was the cover at one point, And good on him. I have a
- 4:29buddy of mine who worked for him when they first started out and was paid
- 4:34very little and was told, I'm going to give you stock options and trust
- 4:39me, one day it'll pay off. And my buddy stayed there, and
- 4:42he stayed there, and he stayed there, and he was going broke.
- 4:44He was bartending at night and working at broadcasts dot Com during the day.
- 4:47And then one day they sold and he retired the next day. So good
- 4:53for him. Yeah, very good for him, and I'm glad it's interesting
- 4:56too. I don't know if you guys read this, but he's also looking
- 4:58for his replacement on Shark Tank, so he's getting done with the Mavericks and
- 5:02he's getting done with Shark Tank. So I think he just wants to know
- 5:05and because of those two things. All the rumors were just on fire as
- 5:12to the reasons why all of a sudden he's selling the MAVs, why he's
- 5:15stepping down from Shark Tank. And instead of people paying attention to what he's
- 5:21been saying in recent history about wanting to bring a resortant casino along with a
- 5:28new arena for the Mavericks to Dallas, they're all thinking, oh, he's
- 5:32running for president. Or my favorite was someone on Twitter head post Wage actually
- 5:39runs an FFL account saying, oh, he's broke. The third conspiracy is
- 5:47and you have to go back and remember when the NBA was stripping Donald Sterling
- 5:51of his team, Cuban was like, do we really want to go this
- 5:56far? And yeah, and then the MAVs had their whole blow up of
- 5:59you know, is really a bad culture there. And so now you know,
- 6:01there are other people who are thinking, he's, you know, doing
- 6:04this because something's about to come out that he was gonna lose the team and
- 6:08so he's divesting himself. Yeah. My first guess was, like, my
- 6:14first thought wasn't I just from movies. I'm like, he's dying, He's
- 6:18like he's gonna just he's just gonna give all his wealth away, And then
- 6:23I thought what would Raj do? And I'm like, uh, I'm tired
- 6:27of working. Uh, you're just You're giving me three billion dollars and I
- 6:30can f off. Now, all right, I'll see you guys later.
- 6:33If I want to build a casino, I might just do that. Want
- 6:36to build a new arena, Sure, I'll get around to that one day,
- 6:40you know what I mean. But he's still young, young enough to
- 6:43where he can just sit around and enjoy his money. I'm not saying that
- 6:46I don't know what he does. I'm not saying that he doesn't. I'm
- 6:47just saying, you know what, let's step away from oh, the ownership
- 6:51side of the team and basketball operations and the draft and all that. I'll
- 6:58I'll help out with that, because that lady, I believe still reads in
- 7:01hieroglyphics. I don't know she you know, she's not that old Latin.
- 7:09Have you seen the language? May be dead, but she's still kicking.
- 7:24Yeah. The Dallas Maverick's, one of the most valuable sports franchises in the
- 7:28world, are set to undergo a major change in ownership. Owner Mark Cuban
- 7:31confirmed NBC five his plans to sell a majority stake in the team to billionaire
- 7:36Miriam Adelson and her family for three and a half billion dollars. The deal
- 7:43could shake up the professional basketball world and have far reaching implications for the sport.
- 7:46Cuban would maintain operational control even though the Addlesons would own a greater than
- 7:54fifty percent steak in the team. The news comes days after Mark Cuban,
- 7:58who's sixty five, revealed that after being on ABC Shark Tink for over ten
- 8:03years, the sixteenth season will be his last. Also, Mark Cuban confirmed
- 8:09the NBC five that a possible agreement between Mark Cuban and the Las Vegas Sands
- 8:13Corporations in the works, which would merge their interests to create a Dallas resort,
- 8:18casino, and arena. However, that deal is still penning approval by
- 8:22the NBA Board of Governors, and the plan is to proceed with the project
- 8:26if gambling is legalized in Texas, and that is a big if, big
- 8:33big if, because there are two things that's at the state of Texas has
- 8:37not legalized yet that I'm still stunned that it hasn't. That is weed and
- 8:43gambling. You're stunned. Really, Yes, when Oklahoma, yes, is
- 8:52ahead of Texas on anything that should be troubling. But when Oklahoma managed to
- 8:58pass its weed stuff, all of us in Texas are thinking, really they
- 9:03got over it. But Texas still can't unclench. We can't. We can't
- 9:09serve out. You can't buy alcohol on a Sunday because Jesus doesn't like it.
- 9:15That's that's where we are, like, we let's start out there before
- 9:18we before we get before we start getting our hopes up for weed and casinos.
- 9:22God forbid you combine the two. Let's let's see if we can get
- 9:26some Let's see if we can get whiskey on Sunday. And this is how
- 9:31I love. This is just tell you about Texas. The sometimes the Cowboys
- 9:35play at noon on a Sunday, that's TV time, which means stadium opens
- 9:41at ten or nine forty five or whatever it is. And you're not supposed
- 9:43to buy alcohol. You can't buy beer or wine or whatever until eleven.
- 9:46And Jerry Jones just went to the State of Texas was like, I'd like
- 9:50to start serving everything early. They're like, amen, done, But you
- 9:56can't go across the street to the Walmart and buy it right, correct,
- 10:01But Jerry says, so like the Cowboys need you to be drunk to watch
- 10:05the game, and Jesus is okay with that. So that's there's always been
- 10:09a loophole on that of on Sundays, if you're serving food, you could
- 10:16start serving if you're if you're a restaurant, bar restaurant, which is what
- 10:18the stadium is. Uh, I think after ten it's a yeah, the
- 10:22stadium. The stadium is a bar restaurant. Mm hmm, I think I
- 10:26think on it's LLC. Yeah, I mean Cowboys, bart and grill.
- 10:33I mean, hey, you go to the t ABC reports, it reports
- 10:37like American Airlines, like all those places they are they are their own entities
- 10:43as far as you know, liquor sales. Wow, okay, uh yeah,
- 10:48but that's still pretty amazing that he just got them to change the hours
- 10:50because uh, Jesus isn't looking. Maybe he's sleep. Hey there's joelse you're
- 10:54speaking of in the way. Yeah, I I forgot what we were talking
- 11:03about. It just not because it's not the dog. That's how stunned you
- 11:05are that that Cowboys stadium in Arlington is Yeah, I can't really a huge
- 11:11freaking TGI Fridays. Yeah, and so if we can't, if we can,
- 11:15Like that was the thing that I loved about l A. I remember
- 11:16the first time I moved to Los Angeles, I went to the seven to
- 11:18eleven that was right across the street from my house just to grab some quick
- 11:22things instead of driving all the way over wherever. And I walked in and
- 11:26I saw a guy holding a bobbly Jaeger and I was like, he's gonna
- 11:30get kicked out of here, Like what's happening? And then I started looking
- 11:33around. I'm like, Oh, we're not in Texas. We're in the
- 11:39land of Heathens, yes, and the Devil. And I was like,
- 11:41this is amazing. And when I found out like Albertson's and like the their
- 11:48version of h B or whatever all have their own distilleries. So they have
- 11:52their own version, like you can go and buy a handle of vodka for
- 11:54like six bucks in LA back then, and I was like I would come
- 11:58back and I just got used to it. I'd come back here and I'm
- 12:01like, hey, let's go grab you know, a bottle of whiskey or
- 12:03whatever. They're like, oh, what's ten I was like, what is
- 12:05that or it's nine And I was like, what does that have to do
- 12:07with anything, Like, well, you can't buy that here anymore. I
- 12:11was like, oh, we're still there. Weed will never happen. Weed
- 12:13will never happen. It'll we already they did it. That medical is legal
- 12:18now and you know, give it bright two four years. The more interesting
- 12:22part of this is the biggest lobby against Texas having a casino has always been
- 12:26Vegas, because we are the number one feeter of Vegas and the fact that
- 12:31the Sanes Corporation is going into business Vegas must know they're going to have to
- 12:37acquiesce, and so instead of fight it, they're going to be on the
- 12:39forefront and start building them. I just love it, and that's the way
- 12:43I see it. I think that I think that's the smart play instead of
- 12:48saying no, we want you to come here to spend your money, just
- 12:54go to the people and give them some of it, but still make Vegas
- 12:58a kick ass destination you can. This is one of those great examples of
- 13:03as a casino you can have your cake and eat it too. In Dallas.
- 13:07Yeah, I love the idea when you're saying that we do and there's
- 13:11like chartered flights out of here to go to Vegas. But I just love
- 13:13the idea that like Texas legalizes casinos and then you just show up in Vegas
- 13:18one day and just tumble weed going down the streets, like whereas everybody they
- 13:22all stayed in Texas. And I don't think that's gonna be the case.
- 13:26I still think people that leave Dallas to go to Vegas will still do it,
- 13:33yeah, because it's sort of like having like you'll have a really nice
- 13:39resort and casino in Dallas at some point in Houston maybe maybe Midland or Lubbock
- 13:46or Amarillo, you get like the Panhandle Resort or something, but you make
- 13:50them very nice, just not as kick ass as the stuff in Vegas,
- 13:56so you still have to draw. But then you can still make money hand
- 14:00over fist in Texas with a casino and that's you know, And I eventually
- 14:05I think it'll happen. But it's interesting to see Mark Cuban really be at
- 14:09the forefront and pushing for it. Yeah, I just love I love that
- 14:13he's he's always been a pioneer when he's to do that with just changing the
- 14:18culture inside the locker room of the Mavericks like he was giving them incentives and
- 14:20he was just like that we're talking about, like the dad with the belt.
- 14:24He would take those incentives away. So he had like I remember that
- 14:28every locker had like their own PlayStation or whatever. And if you, if
- 14:31you, if you didn't perform to his whatever, he would take your PlayStation
- 14:33away. That's so fantastic. It's like, what'd you do this week?
- 14:39Did you dunk? Did you dunk? Like no, It's like, give
- 14:41me the PlayStation, Give me the PlayStation. How many? How many threes
- 14:46did you hit? Just the one? What did I tell you three?
- 14:50Give me the give me the PlayStation. Let's go get out of here.
- 14:52Also, no hot water, only cold showers for you. No Russian models
- 15:00for you. Bad so yeah, huge news. Mark Cuban selling the Mavericks
- 15:07to an old lady and her family for lots of money because he he he
- 15:11bought the Mavericks originally for I believe the sum was two hundred and eighty five
- 15:16million dollars and now three and a half billion dollars in his pocket. Not
- 15:22a bad payday for him to go lead the charge to According to what he
- 15:26says, bring a resorting casino. And a new arena for the Mavericks to
- 15:31Dallas. Yeah, that's gonna be if it all, If it all happens,
- 15:35If it all and he's got, you know, the connections and all
- 15:37that to make it happen. If it does, that's gonna be great for
- 15:39the city. It's great for the state. Well, I think if you're
- 15:43in the gambling business and I'm I'm a Vegas casino, I'm less worried about
- 15:48a casino in Dallas. Then say if I was running the Indian casinos in
- 15:54Oklahoma, that's who's gonna get hit the hardest by a Dallas casino. Yeah,
- 16:00oh for sure, for sure. But I you know, is there
- 16:03enough I don't know. Is there enough traffic in Oklahoma? Dan, you
- 16:08live there, you can not since nineteen eighty eight. I'm just saying it,
- 16:19is there enough traffic in that state to keep those like the wind Stars
- 16:22and the Choctaza open. The wind Star and the Choctaw Durant, those would
- 16:30take hits, but their little satellite, like there's other casinos dotted around the
- 16:33state that are smaller, those will be fine because you still get the people
- 16:37and I've played blackjack with them, the people that are taking their paychecks and
- 16:41hoping to finally hit it big to where they can go live big in Tulsa
- 16:45like I do now. But I those you know wind Star right there at
- 16:51the casinos just on the other side of the border of Oklahoma, those are
- 16:53ones that are gonna have a bit of an issue when and if Dallas gets
- 16:59its own casino. Shreveport will have probably take the biggest hit because that's just
- 17:03accesspool. Yeah I didn't, I didn't think about that. But maybe they'll
- 17:07get entertainment that will bring people in, like like Vegas. Can you know
- 17:11that, maybe they'll make a deal like Vegas can keep like David Copperfield right
- 17:18at the MG and like maybe the Horseshoe can have seat freed without roy like
- 17:22whatever. Yeah, But the thing about it is you have to know it's
- 17:26Texas. It's there's not gonna be anything of Oh, we're gonna build it
- 17:30just less than Vegas. It's gonna be you know, how big, how
- 17:34flashy. You know, it won't surprise me. And like that sphere in
- 17:38Vegas is one of the coolest things you'll ever see. It will not surprise
- 17:42me in the next you know, twelve to eighteen months, all of a
- 17:45sudden, that's gonna be on the table of We're gonna get our a big,
- 17:48you know, big glass ball. Can we just stick it on top
- 17:52of Reunion Tower because that would actually make ours better than Vegas is Vegas is
- 18:00very cool, but I mean it's it's on the ground, and we already
- 18:03got a tower with a ball on it, so just repurpose it. And
- 18:07now our eyeballs in the sky looking like Saarron from the Hobbit movies. Or
- 18:14what if? What if we can get Big Text to put his hand up
- 18:15like that? And now we're talking sounds to me like Cuba needs to give
- 18:26us a call and we'll be happy to lend our expertise to the design team.
- 18:30You just walk inside and it's just a BUCkies still still pretty good.
- 18:45Big boy or a statue are on here somewhere. You're listening to the trees.
- 18:52This week at the Dallas Comedy Show, America's got talent. It's DJ
- 18:57Dinners. I love one when I'm in a public place and I do something
- 19:00amazing and somebody sees it, give it. You have like a random moment
- 19:04of greatness and there's witnesses doesn't even have to be anything vague, like you
- 19:08have you like a knock your hat off your head and you like catch it
- 19:11behind your bag. Somebody sees it like whatever. I was at an airport
- 19:18and I was going through security and they wouldn't let me take my water through
- 19:21very dangerous, and so I shrugged my water and then I was looking around
- 19:26for the nearest recycle bin. I found it was like fifteen feet away,
- 19:29and I was like, I'm going for it, and so I started aiming
- 19:33at There was no water left in this, you know, it required a
- 19:37lot of precision, very light, and then the actual bin just had a
- 19:40tiny little circle just big enough for a can or a bottle to go into
- 19:42a high degree of difficulty. But I'm like, I'm doing this, I'm
- 19:45going for it. I throw it, perfect rotation right in the hole just
- 19:49disappeared, and I mean they were like everybody in line saw the whole thing
- 19:52go down, and uh, you know, yeah, yeah, thank you,
- 19:59thank you. Mark. Yeah. I don't I don't want to make
- 20:03up a story and say they all started clapping or something, but they wanted
- 20:07to go on. What a rash that was eight years ago. I still
- 20:15think about it every day. That's dj dimmers this Friday and Saturday, December

- 21:33Funny happens here. So on the heels of the massive news, Mark
- 21:40Cuban is selling the Mavericks but still gonna run things, and the possibility of
- 21:45him leading the charge to bringing gambling to the state of Texas. I think
- 21:52it's important that we do birthdays celebrate. Really, there's really no cool way
- 22:02to segue into birthdays. It's always gonna be stupid. But that's why we
- 22:04do it. You don't need to segue. It stands on its own.
- 22:07It's just it's what everyone's looking forward to, like a dirt statue or a
- 22:15Madonna's statue. Are they giving him one? Yep? Like is it going
- 22:25to be height relative to the dirt one like a foot lower. I haven't
- 22:33seen the drawing of it. I just saw that they announced that they're going
- 22:34to put one in front of aac of Madonna. Yeah this show. Does
- 22:37he get a different entrance compared to Dirks or are they gonna have like a
- 22:41little like a little monument area. I don't know. I just they announced
- 22:49it a couple of weeks ago that they were going to build Madonna a statue.
- 22:53I don't know if he's going to get a street and everything else or
- 22:57just a statue. Yeah, they should do Dirk, then they should do
- 23:02Madonna, and then they should do Jimmy Johnson, It'll just look like the
- 23:03Neandathal Tart Tart or whatever it is, the sports Evolution and Dallas, and
- 23:11it would actually be chronologically accurate because Jimmy got his Madonna then Dirk. Yeah,
- 23:15there you go. Actually works all right. Today is Fred Day,
- 23:22December first. We have made it to December, gentlemen. It's quite a
- 23:26feat Fred Day, December first birthdays today. Zoeak Kravitz is thirty five today,
- 23:34already thirty five. She was Catwoman in The Batman, not regular Batman
- 23:41or any other Batman's but The Batman, which I don't know if you guys
- 23:45saw that, but I really liked it. I did too. It was
- 23:51to me, it was it was going back to what the previous Batman movies
- 23:57did not focus on. That was a huge part of the comics and the
- 24:02TV show was that Batman is supposed to be the world's greatest detective and that's
- 24:07what The Batman focused on, in addition to the outright brutality, which was
- 24:14fun. Who's who's in that Robert Pattinson Zoe Kravitz as as Catwoman, which
- 24:22I thought was interesting. So in that movie, Robert Pattinson as the Batman,
- 24:26but she's just Catwoman, not the Catwoman. But it was really good.
- 24:33I also loved how they they really treated Pattens as Batman as very ominous
- 24:40and scary, and you heard like the heavy footsteps coming from the shadows and
- 24:45then he all of a sudden, he just appears and strikes fear into the
- 24:48criminals. Like that was cool. Gotcha. It's a good movie, Roger,
- 24:52I recommend it. I'll check it out. On the flip side,
- 24:57did you see Joker with the uh Joaquin Phoenix? I did? That was
- 25:04intense. Yeah, that was really good. And he's just he's just creepy
- 25:11enough to pull that off. Like that was that role was meant for.
- 25:17That role was meant for. And aren't they doing another one? I still
- 25:19haven't seen that one, but I heard it's just a little disturbing and dark.
- 25:23Huhh. And I think they're doing another one. Oh that's wild.
- 25:30Okay, Well I believe so, I believe they are. Yeah, wow,
- 25:33okay, that'd be I can't I can't wait to see that. That's
- 25:37that was an incredible movie. I I didn't think it was good because it
- 25:40looked kind of silly and I was like, Is it just Jauquin Phoenix just
- 25:42trying to be creepy? And then I watched it, I was like,
- 25:45oh no, no, mission accomplished. He did good. Welid I want,
- 25:51I do want to see him in Napoleon because I think that's just such
- 25:53an odd juxtaposition. I'm there for it. I mean, I'm sorry.
- 25:57It's it's Joaquin Phoenix and Ridley Scott. It's a gladiator, you know,
- 26:03reunion type of thing. Yeah, Joaquin Phoenix's is turning into one of those
- 26:07actors that I'll see him in just about anything. Yeah, for sure.
- 26:11So Zoby Kravitz is thirty five today. In case you did not know,
- 26:15she is in fact the daughter of Lenny Kravitz. She was also in the
- 26:19Fantastic Beasts movies, and her mom is Lisa Bonnet from The Cosby Show.
- 26:26Other birthdays today Tyler Joseph, lead singer of twenty one Pilots. He is
- 26:32thirty five today. Deshaun Jackson is thirty seven. We've got and I just
- 26:38remember him as an Eagle, how much I hated him as an eagle.
- 26:41It's like he's one of those guys that has one of those punishable faces you
- 26:45just look at him, and he's just cocky as hell and he's good and
- 26:48you hate it. I loved him on my fantasy team. I'm sure that
- 26:53that was always a solid move for Fantasy. Lincoln Park guitarist Brad Delson turns
- 27:00forty six. I mentioned the Hobbit Movies earlier. The young Dwarf Feeley in
- 27:07the Hobbit Movies name is Dean O'Gorman. He's forty seven today. Comedian Sarah
- 27:11Silverman is fifty three. Nest Carbonell is fifty six. I mentioned The Dark
- 27:18Knight earlier. He was actually the mayor of Gotham City in the Dark Knight.
- 27:25He was also, if I remember correctly, he was on news radio
- 27:29back in the day with Joe Roses. Also celebrating birthdays today, bet Middler,
- 27:37who was forced upon me from an early age by my mother, is
- 27:41seventy eight today. My mom loves Bette Middler loves her albums. I remember
- 27:49watching Beaches with my mother on more than one occasion. Oh okay, that's
- 27:56the reason, Raj, I will watch some real dumb other stuff is because
- 28:00I was subjected to hardcore mom movies as a child. Right and then,
- 28:07okay, now that makes sense to me because you've never prefaced this before.
- 28:11And then also, therapy wasn't like big back then. So yeah, I
- 28:15found my therapy in bad karate and ninja movies. Gotcha. It's because of
- 28:21Beaches that I have seen every single American Ninja movie. Right, Michael Dudakoff,
- 28:26the star of those films, Oh, my lord, is deep in
- 28:30my psyche, especially especially when he came back to the franchise in American Ninja
- 28:36four. Right, Okay, then that's that's that should be a syndrome,
- 28:41like a Dudokoff syndrome. It does sound like a bit of a syndrome,
- 28:45and I'm probably the first person with it. You should probably cut up my
- 28:48brain and study me. Maybe that's that. Maybe that's what all the the
- 28:52memory loss is is from all the Duda coughing. He better appreciated, though.
- 28:59I'm pretty sure he's got a decent apartment out of me alone, like
- 29:03at least a really nice one bedroom. Do you think he gets ready because
- 29:08of the name. Do you think he gets ready and looks in the mirror
- 29:11and goes and then that's then he licks his fingers and does the eyebrow thing
- 29:17spread. He's probably the one that originated that he just gets done banging a
- 29:22chickens like you just got cough? Am I the only one that's ever seen
- 29:30any of those movies? They are they are spectacularly terrible. They are bad.
- 29:37Yeah, I remember the TV show. I don't know if it was
- 29:40called American Ninja or just Ninja or but I don't remember the movies. Oh
- 29:45no, this is what I'm This is what I'm glad I have immigrant parents.
- 29:52There was no there's no do to coughing or middle middlering. There's no
- 29:56middlering coffs. You also get a healthy dose of Shirley McLain. Oh yeah,
- 30:03mm hmm definitely. No, well we didn't in terms of endearment.
- 30:08Oh yeah, Home God, the Officer and a gentleman m Postcards from the
- 30:14Edge, Steal Magnolia's. I will say is that that's the exception. That
- 30:18movie is awesome. That that that right there, Steal Magnolia is still Magnolia's
- 30:23is the movie version of Golden Girls. That right there is where young me
- 30:29bonds with my grandmother Steeal Magnolia's and and the and the Bloody Armadilla Cake with
- 30:37Tom Scarett Dolly Parton Olympia Ducucus. That's how I know that movie. And
- 30:42then obviously a very young uh Julia Roberts. But and then also I remember
- 30:47watching Golden Girls and Unsolved Mysteries with my grandmother. But it wasn't a two
- 30:52way street. She wouldn't watch bay Watch with me. Golden Girls was a
- 30:56funny show. I have known it, watched it. Yeah, it really
- 30:59is. And it's one of those shows again you can't put on TV today,
- 31:02which is very unfortunate because it's so good. Uh but yeah, so
- 31:07it's uh so you got Scaret, Dolly Parton, dicaccas, and that's the
- 31:12syndrome, the doccas toward Dan. You know, he forgets a lot.
- 31:18You know, it's acca he's so young. He looked so healthy that this
- 31:37is why there's parental advisories. Visit us Onlinehouse on Air dot com. Let's
- 31:57get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration into the treehouse. Now give
- 32:01them a coffee or free roof inspection eight three three cook DFW or the website
- 32:07cookdfw dot com. So Daniel coming up in the show, I'm going to
- 32:10tell the guys about a news story that we found twenty five hundred syringes of
- 32:17a dangerous vaginal tightening gel were confiscated at an airport in Minneapolis. I'm not
- 32:25going to necessarily ask you to comment on that specifically, but I am curious.
- 32:30Are there any sort of roof tightening substances that you know we should be
- 32:36aware of or is that just you know, fancy or is that just make
- 32:38believe Dan? First of all, were the Kardashians flying with those I'm just
- 32:45kidding, I don't I don't really want the flight, So I'm sure they
- 32:49can fly with theirs on private with no issues. Private private, private,
- 32:52private prob. Yeah, so that may have been their doctors or something trying
- 32:55to get them somewhere. Roof tightening app or that's a good one. A
- 33:02lot of roof mending products, a lot of ceilans tightening, now, yeah,
- 33:08that's that reminds me of like the old parking lot stretchers when we were
- 33:13in construction and parking lot used to get the rookies and tell them, Hey,
- 33:15the parking lot needs to get stretched out for the cracks. We need
- 33:19to go get rent one of those parking lot stretchers. And so they would
- 33:22go to all the rental places and ask for the parking lot stretcher, and
- 33:29every guy at sun Belt or Union Tool or anybody would keep on sending him
- 33:34to the next person down the road. And that's when we'd finally have to
- 33:37call the guy in about four hours tell him, hey, come on back,
- 33:40man, and he'd be like in Fort Worth by now because they kept
- 33:45sending him to the next place looking for the parking lot stretcher. But yeah,
- 33:50it's hey, there's there's something in every field that you can get,
- 33:53you know, your new guys on. But you know, you know,
- 33:58I can't say there's gonna be any a tightening, you know, necessarily in
- 34:01the roofing business, just doing it right the first time. Basically, that
- 34:07would be the idea. You know, the every every item around your house
- 34:09or business needs some maintenance and that's where we come in and we kind of
- 34:14hopefully prevent anything major happening. And that's why those annual inspections and periodic you
- 34:19know, repairs are going to be much better for you than the waiting down
- 34:22the roads there's something worse to happen, or or using syringes of illegal substances.
- 34:28So give Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration to call for that
- 34:32free roof inspection eight three three cook DFW or the website again cookdfw dot com.
- 34:38It's the Treehouse time Nott to welcome into the treehouse. Jaqueline from Brooks

- 34:54think a lot of people Jacqueline think about plumbing as a need. They call
- 34:59you when they have our problem. But that doesn't always have to be the
- 35:01case. House I bought in Dallas a couple of years ago, it didn't
- 35:05have a disposal and I really really wanted one. That's when it dawned on
- 35:09me. You don't have to wait for a major issue to call a plumber.
- 35:13You can call Brooks Plumbing for a fun reason, for like a fun
- 35:15project. I think it's fun that you think garbage disposals are fun. Yeah,
- 35:21we do. We do fun stuff, you know what For me as
- 35:23a woman, for me, I want a pot filler over my stove.
- 35:25That's my fun project. You need me to run a little bit extra water
- 35:30line so your wife doesn't have to lift that heavy pot to make her pasta
- 35:35every Sunday pasta sauce. You know, that's the fun project for me,
- 35:38a woman. Get yourself a pot filler, men, I guess, get
- 35:42yourself a garbage disposal, and get rid of those tree branches. We're here
- 35:45for both. And when that tree branch gets stuck, call me for that
- 35:46too. It's gonna be fun. That'st thing to keep in mind is with
- 35:50Brooks Plumbing, it's not just a need. Sometimes it's a want as well,
- 35:52and they're going to help you in both scenarios, So give them a

- 36:27eight thirty eight that's two, one, four, three, six, eight
- 36:29thirty eight thirty eight. For the website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. That's
- 36:34Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. I want to mention just over a week away
- 36:42from the Treehouse Podcast Christmas road Show at Shakerton's Midtown which is across the street
- 36:50from the Galleria in Dallas, Saturday, December ninth, four to seven pm,
- 36:54we will do a live recording of this year show. So that'll be
- 36:58fun and immediately afterwards the roasting of my chestnuts. It's gonna be uh,
- 37:08it's gonna be good fun. How is Raj? Do you already have material
- 37:14written down for the event? Or is this stuff that you've just been collecting
- 37:17over our twenty year relationship that you're like, one of these days, I'm
- 37:22going to convince this ity to get to let me roast him, and you're
- 37:23just gonna unleash no. I I you know, when it comes to this,
- 37:28I want to keep it concise and very because I could go on forever.
- 37:32So as I was as I was making some dinner last night, I
- 37:39had a few that hit me and I was like, let me write those
- 37:42down and they'll be very quick and then there's uh. Then I immediately went,
- 37:46oh, I can't leave Trey out of this. What and hit got
- 37:52to two or three for trade depending on how much time you know, it
- 37:57depends on what the laughs and such, engroans whatever, it's all the same,
- 38:01it's all the same value. So and then I went in to Aaron
- 38:07and I had one. I had a couple of I had one for for
- 38:10Jerry. And so I'm still still waiting for all of it to hit me
- 38:14for like everetten, maybe another one for Jerry and then well then I'll introduce
- 38:17everybody and then everything after that should be a smooth sailing. So speaking of
- 38:22which, Trey, are have you gotten any material down yet? Or I'll
- 38:25ask the same question I asked Raj Or have you just been piling up material
- 38:30for the twenty years we've known each other? Like, all right now I'm
- 38:32gonna get his ass all, you know, joking aside, Dan, I
- 38:40I don't like you, and I like we've worked in the same office for
- 38:45years and and but I don't. I have a few zingers. But there's
- 38:51you know, your robotic nature makes it somewhat difficult. That's a good angle
- 38:55go with that. You can start with some along those lines, like,
- 39:00you know, I could say many, many hurtful things, but I don't
- 39:02know if it would affect your robot heart. Yeah, you could be like
- 39:07I would say things that would mean about you, but then you would just
- 39:10turn it off at the end of the night in reset, So it's okay,
- 39:15or I'll just my heart will become sentient and then you know, murder
- 39:19you alls the first living AI I am. I am actually oddly looking forward
- 39:27to the roast thing because it's something we've never done, so it'll be fun
- 39:29to do it. I'm looking forward to It'll be an additional thing to do
- 39:34for people who come out to the show. And speaking of additional things,
- 39:37we're going to have merch available there. We're going to have some things that'll
- 39:40be available for you to order, which would be very cool. We'll have
- 39:44a couple of giveaways, and we're also doing a toy drive benefiting the developmenty
- 39:50developmentally challenged children of the Warren Center. So if what we're going to do
- 39:55is I'll post on the Treehouse on air social media accounts, I'll post some
- 40:00examples of some toys that that you can buy and bring to the road show
- 40:05that will be donated to the to the kids of the Warren Center who have
- 40:08special needs. Okay, because I was wondering what that would be. So
- 40:14good. I'm glad you have that, and I'm sure there's other people out
- 40:15there trying to figure out what that would be. So that's awesome. Basically,
- 40:20a toy that would make you smarter would be good. Mhm. Okay,
- 40:24so an etch a sketch. Maybe you just got really frustrated with etches
- 40:31sketches, so maybe we shouldn't do that. Like the one time I actually,
- 40:37I actually drew somewhat of a house, and my sister shook it up
- 40:40and threw it across the room, so it was gone forever. That's me.
- 40:46Oh my god, I only ever got stairs. That's all I ever.
- 40:51That's all I ever got. I wasn't any good at anything. Your
- 40:52toy was stairs. No, no, no, the on the edge of
- 40:54sketch. I could do the I could do the stairs. Like, man,
- 41:00your parents must have hated you go play on the stairs. Then you
- 41:07don't know immigrant parents. It's like, can I have a toy? Like
- 41:09this is we got a house, this is your toy. You go upstairs,
- 41:15play on the banister, I used to. Yes, my favorite thing
- 41:20was sliding down the stairs. That was something I did as well, because
- 41:22whenever I go visit like a family member who had a two story house or
- 41:25something like that, we would absolutely play with the stairs. Kids these days
- 41:30are not even allowed up or down the stairs, probably because parents are too
- 41:32worried they're going to fall down them. But that was the game we all
- 41:36played as kid, which was I'm gonna fall down these stairs about twenty times,
- 41:39and that's my game for the day, which also might explain why I
- 41:44don't why I don't remember things, and also why I had that big pensil
- 41:47in kindergarten. It really is all starting to make sense. It was going
- 41:53to the house that was a kid a fantastic day for me because it really
- 42:00is the culmination of my my life. And this year, you know,
- 42:05podcast and babysitting drunk people get to do it all in one. Don't you
- 42:13just feel like a winner? Just ask me for some ranch. This segment
- 42:30of the tree House is brought to you by Rook's Plumbing Phone number two one,
- 42:37four, three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. Give them a call
- 42:38for any and all of your plumbing wants. And needs two, one,
- 42:42four, three, six, eight, thirty eight, thirty eight, or
- 42:44the website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. Brooks Plumbing Texas dot Com. Once
- 42:53again, Welcome to Friday. Birthdays were fun and eventful and we learned a
- 42:59lot about me. Now, let's learn a lot about the world in general
- 43:04as we get into some really really really stupid news that Tray has found this
- 43:08week. I mean really stupid, super stupid or it was an exceptional week
- 43:21and yeah, so let's start in Florida, where all the stupid seems to
- 43:25happen. A Florida woman was arrested after trying to eat counterfeit money during an
- 43:34arrest for a Walmart scam. You just, okay, you know Florida is
- 43:43is strong with the stupid. Here's the thing. But when you when you
- 43:45preface it with Florida, I don't get stunned. If you would have just
- 43:51read that headline and then we could have all guessed who to all guessed Florida.
- 43:54But I'm like, who's dumb enough to do that? Was she in
- 43:55Florida? And he'd be like, correct, I will run at it again.
- 44:05Right, It's the magic of audio. A woman tried to eat counterfeit
- 44:12cash during an arrest for a Walmart scam? Was this in Florida? Yes
- 44:17it was, Yes, it was ra tell us more Dan all right,
- 44:29fine, a Florida woman has found herself behind bars. Why did newsplaces do
- 44:34that? Found herself behind bars? She's not. She didn't just wake up
- 44:37there like she went to sleep at home in bed, woke up. Oh
- 44:39my god, I'm in jail. She knew what she did to be there.
- 44:45After allegedly using counterfeit bills at Walmart and then trying to eat the fake
- 44:49money when being detained by police, Zipporah Abraham was arrested in charge with third
- 44:53degree grand theft and uttering forged bills. After the incident that unfor hold that
- 45:00a Walmart in North Miami Beach on Sunday uttering by the way with t's not
- 45:04the d's. That would have been interesting that she'd been counterfeit dollars. A
- 45:15Walmart lost prevention officer was notified that a customer later identified as her was trying
- 45:19to use fake money to pay for items. When the Walmart employees looked at
- 45:22the store surveillance footage, they realized this was not the first time she was
- 45:24involved in an incident at that store. The off the The affidavit did not
- 45:30go into further detail about her history with the store, but did say she
- 45:32was an offender in the past and not to be outdone. Another woman stabbed
- 45:40her boyfriend in the eye with a rabies needle. Do you, gentlemen,
- 45:45want to guess why she stabbed her boyfriend in the eye with a Rabi's needle?
- 45:51Because it was Thursday in Florida. No, it was Monday, and
- 45:59it's because he was looking at other women. Yeah, once again, a
- 46:07Florida woman has found herself behind bars. I'm not making that up. It's
- 46:09in the lead of a different story. She knows why she's in jail.
- 46:14She didn't go to sleep and wake up magically behind bars. You know,
- 46:19it's Florida. There could have been a meth or bath salts bender, and
- 46:23yes she did. All of a sudden, she woke up and she's like,
- 46:27hell, how'd I get in jail? Because you ate bath salts.
- 46:30You shouldn't be surprised if you eat bath salts. There's really two things that
- 46:34are gonna happen to you. You're either gonna be dead because everyone thinks you're
- 46:37a freaking Florida zombie or they arrest you and in which case you're behind bars.
- 46:44The first time I was had an edible in La, I found myself
- 46:50in my bedroom, but I'd eaten it in the kitchen, so I understand,
- 46:54and I don't remember leaving the kitchen. So I found myself tucked in
- 47:00bed, and that's what I was like, the force is strong with this
- 47:04weed, Like, so I understand how some people can find themselves elsewhere.
- 47:10I love the fact that this lady. I love how this lady is well
- 47:14maybe she told maybe that was the arresting thing, which she's like, I
- 47:16don't know how I got here. I was drunk and eating money. And
- 47:22I love the lady. The fact that the lady who stabbed the guy in
- 47:25the eye. He was like, no, I know why I'm here,
- 47:29but how how does she know? Like he said, rabies? So she
- 47:36gave the guy rabies in the eye. No, I think it was injections
- 47:43for their dog, right, so it I don't think it had rabies in
- 47:47it. It was more like a like the injection you get for having rabies.
- 47:52Okay, so it is Florida. They may have needles with rabies in
- 47:58them. Just so they they had a rabid dog at home. She might
- 48:02have had a pet raccoon that she just you know, doused with a needle
- 48:06and then shoved it in the guy's eye. That's it. That's that's it
- 48:08right there. Florida has weaponized raccoons. Anyone surprised by that? Now,
- 48:15if it was Indiana, we'd all be shocked. Yeah, but when we
- 48:19start our country trio, it's going to be called weaponized raccoons and uh not
- 48:28to be outdone. Twenty five hundred syringes of dangerous vaginal tightening gel was seized
- 48:35at an airport. How is it dangerous? Can you overdose? Can you
- 48:52can you? Is there too much tightening? Is that what's happening? I
- 48:59mean, if it if it breaks it off, I mean, if if
- 49:08you can use it to where it gets so tight you can rip a vault
- 49:13door off of a vaulted a bang. I think I think it could be
- 49:17seen as dangerous because you have you have to finish this story. You have
- 49:22to, I need, you want more. You'd think of, you know,
- 49:27like open a pickle jar, but then you know it's fighting against one
- 49:30of the other the purpose. Maybe one of the few times and as a
- 49:37man, you ask for her help to open up the pickle jar. Can
- 49:43you get this? Maybe it's one of those airplane pickle jars. Like this
- 49:46is gonna be exciting. Customs agents at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport
- 49:52seized thousands of syringes of what they say is a dangerous and unapproved vaginal tightening
- 50:00gel. There it is right there. It's unapproved, So I'm guessing the
- 50:05FDA has not tested this properly. A release from US Customs and Border Protection
- 50:10states the syringes were discovered in a shipment from Hong Kong that was bound for
- 50:15a home during an inspection on November twentieth. Wow, it was going to
- 50:22somebody's house. Yeah. The syringes were wrapped in pink packaging, appearing ready
- 50:27for resale, with a brownish gel inside. Officials say the shipment was valued
- 50:30at about nineteen thousand dollars, but was seized for violating the Federal Food,
- 50:36Drug and Cosmetic Act. Oh how do they know the value of this stuff?
- 50:47I just want to see the flyer they put out for the testing.
- 50:53Ladies, are you loose? Would you like to not be loose anymore?
- 51:01Would you like to strike fear in the packages of men. I'm just I'm
- 51:07just saying the street value for I don't know how you do that. I
- 51:10don't know how you figure out what I mean, for some minute, it
- 51:13could be priceless. How do you put a monetary value on tightening to that
- 51:22degree? I don't know. Is it like is it like the pain chart
- 51:27when you're at the hospital, like the faces, like the amount of fayl
- 51:30Like it's just joy, Like, tell me on a scale of one to
- 51:32ten, how happy you are, and that's how that's how we judge the
- 51:37value of this product. He hasn't stopped smiling. Ten thousand dollars. I
