  or didn't kick the field goal, we cover lose by 8.

  Instead they make the field goal meaningless but meaningful to

  some. Unfortunately, that field goal

  killed us out with the Irish. That was a bit disappointing.

  Yet they came up a couple baskets short and then I'll be

  honest with you guys, I might be done betting the NHL nail in the

  coffin last night, the Winnipeg Jets, a fantastic team, locked

  and loaded, fully loaded, huge line move system matches galore.

  They lose on the road 5:00 to 2:00 to Utah.

  So I don't know what it is out. The NHL just can't seem to get
• 3:50
  an edge this year. So I might be taking a break

  here from the NHL, but that's OK focusing on college hoops,

  sprinkling in some NBA as well. But either way, guys, let's turn

  the page. Let's have a winning day today.

  So I want to talk about five games overall that caught my
• 4:04
  eye, including quite a few of my favorite system matches.
• 4:08
  So let's go in chronological order.
• 4:10
  Focus on the early game. This is a 7:00 game, VCU
• 4:15
  visiting Rhode Island. Now, VCU is having a great year,
• 4:18
  14 and 4. They've won four straight.
• 4:20
  Rhode Island also playing well, fourteen and four.
• 4:23
  And they have kind of rotated wins and losses over their last
• 4:26
  handful of games. So what have you seen across the
• 4:28
  market here? Well, you've seen this line go
• 4:31
  up to VCUVCU open this game as around a 6 1/2 point Rd.
• 4:35
  favorite. And we've seen VCU now get that
• 4:37
  up to -7 1/2. But once it got to 7 1/2, I
• 4:41
  noticed one thing, a good discrepancy play to buy low on
• 4:44
  Rhode Island because a lot of those 7 1/2's are now coming
• 4:47
  back down to seven. So that tells me you probably
• 4:50
  had some early respected money lay the -6 and half of VCU Jack
• 4:54
  it all the way up to 7 1/2. Now it's starting to come back a
• 4:57
  little bit. So what I'm going to do is I'm
• 4:59
  going to buy low or sell high on VCU, whichever way you want to
• 5:02
  look at it. I took the plus 7 1/2 with Rhode
• 5:05
  Island. Now, a couple things I'm looking
• 5:07
  at with Uri here. One is a dog who can score
• 5:10
  system match. If you were a home dog, you're
• 5:12
  getting 7 1/2. Again, hook is still available,
• 5:15
  but it does look like it's coming back down, which is a
• 5:17
  good sign for that hook falling a bit.
• 5:20
  But if you're going to be a dog, you got to be able to put up
• 5:22
  points, cover the number, and Uri is averaging 80 points per
• 5:26
  game. So dog who can score system
• 5:28
  match. They also have a lot of
• 5:29
  offensive advantages here. 3 point shooting, 34% versus 32%.
• 5:35
  Their overall field goal percentage, 46% versus 45%.
• 5:39
  They've been great at home, 10 and one at home this year.

  VCU two and two on the road. So is this a game where, hey,
• 5:46
  VCU wins by handful of points? That's what I'm banking on.

  Give me the points here with Rhode Island.

  The other thing that I like is Ken Palm has Uri losing by 5 and
• 5:56
  Rhythm a little bit more. I guess respectful of VCU has

  VCU -5.6, but even if we round up to six, hey, we're getting a
• 6:05
  7 1/2 with a hook. Hopefully this line's coming
• 6:07
  back our way with a good dog who can score System Match again,
• 6:11
  who's played very, very well at home this year.

  I'm taking the points here with Rhode Island.

  Give me the plus 7 1/2. I wouldn't call it a sharp play.

  You know, the percentages don't really jump out to you on Rhode
• 6:21
  Island, but to me it's a value play based on an inflated home
• 6:25
  dog with two of our favorite analytics, Rhythm and Ken Palm
• 6:30
  telling us this should be closer to a 5 or 6 point game.
• 6:32
  So my first bet Uri plus 7 1/2. Next one for you, Kent State and
• 6:38
  Toledo. Little bit overlooked, kind of a
• 6:41
  lower game, lower bet game overall.
• 6:44
  But 7:00 here. I'll mention to that VCU Uri
• 6:47
  game if you want to watch it, CBS Sports Network.
• 6:50
  So if you're one of those people who pays through the nose for
• 6:52
  all the channels, you know, Verizon FiOS, you know, Comcast,
• 6:56
  whatever, I'm actually always happy when I get these games.

  But moving on to Kent State and Toledo, this is on ESPN Plus, So
• 7:04
  going into it, 2 pretty evenly matched teams.

  We have Kent State 11:00 and 6:00 on the year.
• 7:09
  However, they have lost two straight, Toledo's 10 and seven.
• 7:12
  And Toledo's playing pretty good ball as of late.
• 7:14
  Toledo has won four of their last five.
• 7:17
  Now, what have we noticed across the market?
• 7:19
  Very slight movement toward Toledo.
• 7:22
  Toledo open this game as a very short one point home favorite.
• 7:26
  We've now seen Toledo get bet up to -1 1/2.
• 7:29
  Some shops have even reached as high as -2 So it's pretty clear
• 7:33
  all movement liability has been toward the short home favorite.
• 7:37
  And I'm looking at a few advantages here for Toledo.
• 7:40
  So Long story short, you guys know me by now.

  I'm not laying 1 1/2 with Toledo.
• 7:44
  They win by one. That was the opening number.
• 7:46
  Odds makers are telling you it could be a very tight game.
• 7:49
  I got to, I got to cash that ticket.

  So I, I'm money lined. Toledo, I got them at -120
• 7:55
  really not a bad money line price, but couple advantages for
• 7:58
  Toledo. One offense, huge discrepancy
• 8:01
  here. It's not just the points per
• 8:03
  game. Toledo's averaging 78 points per
• 8:06
  game. Kent State is averaging 70.
• 8:08
  But if you look at offense efficiency, this is a huge
• 8:11
  advantage for Toledo. They ranked 99th in the country,
• 8:15
  number 99 in offense efficiency. Kent State ranks 283rd.
• 8:20
  So hopefully we can, you know, score and put up some points
• 8:23
  here and, you know, kind of kind of keep Kent State at arm's
• 8:26
  length. Effective field goal percentage,
• 8:29
  50% versus 44%. Toledo also shoots the three
• 8:33
  much better, 33% versus 25%. Toledo, by the way, is four and
• 8:38
  one at home this year. I'm surprised they haven't
• 8:40
  played more home games, but hey, I'll take it.

  And then lastly, not a huge edge, but Ken Palm does have
• 8:47
  Toledo winning by 1 and Rhythm has Toledo minus 0.7.

  So it's not a huge discrepancy play, but the line has moved
• 8:55
  toward Toledo. We have huge offensive
• 8:57
  advantages and at least Ken Palm and Rhythm are saying Toledo

  should win this game. So that that sounds good enough

  for me. Guys, I'm playing Toledo to
• 9:05
  hopefully get a win on their homecourt.

  I got the Rockets on the money line.

  Not a bad price -120 now some late night sweats and some epic

  system matches. Missouri and Texas, this one

  should be a lot of fun. This one is on SEC Network.

  We have Missouri coming in 15 and 3, ranked 22nd in the

  country. They're playing well.

  They've won four straight. Just took down Arkansas 83 to

  65. Easily covered as a 5 1/2 point

  home favorite. On the other hand, Texas
• 9:37
  Longhorns not having a great year, 12:00 and 6:00 started off

  hot, but they have lost four of their last five.

  Just got rolled by Florida. A Gator chomped 84 to 60, did
• 9:46
  not cover as an 11 point Rd. dog.

  So what have you seen across the market here?

  Well, first let's talk about this opening number.

  You would think Missouri ranked 22nd.
• 9:56
  Good record playing well would be favored, right?
• 9:59
  Against a team that's unranked and has lost four or five.

  No no, no, no. Texas is favored this game open
• 10:05
  with the Longhorns listed as a 2 point home favorite.

  Right off the bat that jumps out to me because you know what I
• 10:12
  you know I hear and in my head ring ring ring ring unranked
• 10:15
  home favorite versus ranked opponent.
• 10:17
  One of our favorite fishy system matches.
• 10:20
  So public is saying the wrong team is favorite or actually not
• 10:25
  quite the percentages aren't quite that contrarian, but we
• 10:28
  have seen this line move toward Texas.
• 10:31
  So even though Texas has the worst record and has played
• 10:34
  worse as of late, but actually if you dig into Texas a little
• 10:37
  bit deeper, they've kind of hung close against some really good
• 10:39
  teams like Auburn and some of these SEC powerhouses.
• 10:42
  So it might be a little bit deceiving.
• 10:45
  But either way, if it looks fishy, unranked, home fave,
• 10:48
  ranked opponent, usually there's a reason for it.
• 10:51
  So I'm going to play Texas here on the money line.

  What I like about Texas is they open -2 they've gotten up to -2
• 10:58
  1/2 at quite a few shops. I saw one book even inch toward
• 11:01
  three. So the lines moving toward
• 11:03
  Texas, even though on paper feels like Missouri's the better
• 11:06
  team, so I'm going to respect that money going toward the
• 11:09
  Longhorns. If you look at DraftKings, they
• 11:11
  are getting 60% of spread bets. I was a little bit surprised by
• 11:14
  that, but they are getting 90% of spread dollars.
• 11:17
  So even though it's slightly public, also heavy smart money
• 11:20
  on Texas, which really lines up with that line move in their
• 11:23
  favor -2 up to 2 1/2. This is a money line play for
• 11:27
  me. I got Texas on the money line at
• 11:29
  -134 at FanDuel. Again, they win by, you know,
• 11:33
  one or two. I don't want to lose a -, 2 1/2.

  If you look at the tickets on the money line at DraftKings
• 11:40
  also tells me pros like Texas to win this game, maybe playing the
• 11:44
  the money line over the spread, which is which is what I'm
• 11:46
  doing. 52% of money line bets, 77% of money line dollars.

  So good low bets, higher dollars bet split.
• 11:55
  Now Ken Palm has Texas winning by two points.
• 11:57
  He's got a winning 76 to 74. If you look at our friends at
• 12:01
  Rhythm, they are predicting Texas -2.6.

  So again, kind of lines up with that line move and that Ken Palm
• 12:09
  prediction. Even a little bit more bullish
• 12:11
  there with the .6 versus just a regular 2.

  But what I'm going to lean on quite a bit here with Texas is
• 12:17
  their defensive efficiency. They ranked 48th in the country.

  Missouri is not bad either. They're 61st, but also notice a
• 12:24
  free throw advantage, 75% from the line for the Longhorns, 72%
• 12:29
  for Missouri. Once again, unranked home favors
• 12:32
  ranked opponent as well as Texas eight and three at home this
• 12:37
  year. Missouri one and two on the
• 12:39
  road. So if you give me an unranked
• 12:41
  home favorite versus ranked opponent with a line move, it's
• 12:44
  a relatively low money line price.

  Around -135 we got good percentages.
• 12:50
  We got a good defensive efficiency team.
• 12:52
  We got a team that plays well at home.
• 12:54
  And both Ken Palm and Rhythm are telling us Texas should win this
• 12:57
  game. I got to play Longhorns, guys.

  I got Texas on the money line. Again, around -135 very similar
• 13:04
  situation. If you like Texas, you like SMU
• 13:08
  with me tonight. SMU is home against Louisville.

  We got some late sweats tonight. Guys, get ready, get prepared

  But anyway, Louisville comes in 14 and 5 ranked 25th, playing

  well. They've won eight games in a

  row, just destroyed Virginia 81 to 67, but didn't cover as a 15

  point home favorite. Meanwhile, SMU 14 and 4, they've

  won three straight, just took down Miami 117 to 74.

  Boy do they pour it on easily covering as a 6 1/2 point Rd.

  favorite. So what have you seen across the

  market? Well, this line open with SMU
• 13:47
  listed as a one point home favorite, very, very low number.

  But once again, Louisville's ranked.

  Shouldn't Louisville be Louisville be favored?

  You would think so, but no open -1 SMU and the public here is
• 14:03
  jumping on Louisville. Again, wrong.

  The quote UN quote wrong team is favored.

  People who still think they're smarter than the sports folks,
• 14:09
  they'll never understand it. But anyway, even though 60% of
• 14:12
  spread bets are taking the trendy dog Louisville Cardinals,
• 14:16
  this line has moved further toward SMU -1 up to -1 1/2.

  Some shops have even ticked up as high as -2.

  So we got some unpopular reverse line movement on SMU line moving
• 14:28
  in their direction. Even though public is on
• 14:30
  Louisville, you look at Circa again, prides them really pride
• 14:34
  themselves on taking in smart money, not rejecting it, which I
• 14:36
  think is smart. Might, might hurt your bottom
• 14:39
  line a little bit when the pros win, but also gives you insight
• 14:42
  into where the smart money is at, which is very, very
• 14:44
  important. But SMU 60% of bets over 90% of
• 14:49
  spread dollars at SMU or at Circa tells me the sharps out
• 14:53
  there in the desert really like an SMU in this spot.

  Now another money line play for me, relatively low.

  I got SMU at -125 on the money line.

  Good bet split here only 34% bets 56% dollars at a DraftKings

  on SMU. Ken Palm, by the way, has SMU

  winning by two points, 79 to 77, which is why I'll hopefully, you

  know where I'm going to go. Money line here.

  Already have, but hopefully they'll be able to even cover

  for those of you who might want to go -1 1/2.

  Now, SMU, I'm going to bank on their offensive efficiency,

  Louisville's good too, but slightly better with SMU.

  struggled a bit here, but they're 12 and six overall.

  They just snapped A4 game losing streak by crushing Iowa 95 to 70

  cruising as a six point home favorite.

  What have we seen across the market here?

  Well, UCLA opened as a three-point home favorite, so

  once again, fishy. Why is UCLA favorite even when

  you factor in homecourt? Wisconsin better record.

  They're ranked. Shouldn't this be a pick em?

  Shouldn't be Wisconsin -1 no odds makers open UCLA -3 and the

  public once again says the wrong team is favored. 70% of spread

  bets at DraftKings are taking the trendy Dog Badgers even

  though they're getting nearly three out of four bets

  Wisconsin. That is the lines not dropping

  toward Wisconsin. It's not 75% and it's down

  toward a pick em. No, it's gone further up toward
• 17:53
  UCLA -3 up to -3 1/2. And again, some shops are even

  touching 4. So if you're the odds makers and

  you know the public hammering Wisconsin, why are you moving

  the line further to UCLA? Why are you giving out even more

  additional half point full point to Wisconsin betters to the

  drunk guys at the bar? So you have the badges are going

  to win out, right? Well, tells me they've taken in

  a lot of sharp money on UCLA, causing them to move that number
• 18:17
  toward the Bruins. UCLA great bet split, only 31%

  bets but nearly half the money at DraftKings at circa 50%
• 18:26
  spread bets, 63% spread dollars. So both the national DraftKings
• 18:31
  book in the circa sharp Vegas book are showing a good low
• 18:34
  bets, higher dollar split on UCLA.

  Now Ken Palm only has UCLA winning by one.

  If you look at Rhythm, they have UCLA -2.6 or -3.2.

  So at this point, again, I hope they roll, but I did money line

  UCLA. It's a little on the expensive

  side. I got -170 but again, I hate to

  see UCLA win a nail biter and you lose because you laid 3 1/2

  and they only won by, you know, two or three.

  So that's the money line play for me.

  And I'm going to bank on a few things with UCLA.

  Better defensive efficiency, 12th versus 46th, better

  offensive rebound percentage, 34% versus 29%.

  UCLA, by the way, first in the nation in terms of forced

  turnover percentage, they really turn the other team over quite a

  bit, 25%. So if you give me 4 possessions,

  UCLA is going to turn over the other team and out of one of

  them that's pretty good. Wisconsin does not force
• 19:31
  turnovers. They are two 78th in the
• 19:33
  country. I'll take this.

  The Bruins are enjoying a one day rest advantage.

  They last played on January 17th.

  Wisconsin played January 18th and UCLA, by the way, nine and

  one at home. And I played UCLA earlier in the

  year and I I they played pretty poorly.
