- Daniel: Clint, I was gonna I was gonna come on here tonight and I was getting ready to gloat. I was getting ready to puff out my chest. I was getting ready to take a victory lap on all these Alabama fans who've been in the comments all week long taking shot after shot after shot at what ridiculous takes we have. How dare first of all, how dare we? Clint: Oof. Uh-huh. Okay. Mm. Absurd. Keelan Excuse you, sir. Excuse you and your ugly face and your horrible takes for saying Keelan Russell is not the best quarterback in the SEC. If only if only we had an event to measure both quarterbacks by. Daniel: ⁓ well, it wouldn't be fair because one of them would have home field advantage, but I guess we could put ⁓ side by side next to each other and measure that. ⁓ but b I don't even necessarily feel right about doing that, Clint. Because I've just I've just learned that Kirby Smart as the Georgia head football coach is three and seven all time against Alabama. Clint: ⁓ sorry. Sorry. What do we need to Daniel: He should be fired. Run him out of town. He's only three and seven against Alabama. What a pathetic program we must have. Alabama is clearly still our daddy because Kirby Smart Lifetime is only three and seven against Alabama, Clint. How could we even celebrate a win like this? Clint: Get him out of here. Get him out of here. W we couldn't at all. I I don't again, you're right. We shouldn't be. Now to to be fair, we have celebrated SEC championships, national championships, ⁓ playoff appearances, playoff victory. Those those things we have celebrated before. BamaFan came in and told me that we're the new Dabo and Clemson because we haven't been there in t three years. Four Daniel: We shouldn't be. Okay. Okay. ⁓ We've done those, yeah. ⁓ but math is hard. Twenty twenty was a Mickey Mouse year, and so we're going back quite a ways, aren't we? Clint: But where Okay. We I I I thought so. ⁓ so no, we're not saying that this is the most important win in program history, but I'm gonna tell this right now. ⁓ Daniel: No. No, it's not as important as the SEC championship last year, where we also beat you the last time we played. ⁓ no, no, no, not the last time. The last time was tonight. We beat you in Tuscaloosa at your building when you had the best quarterback in the SEC. No. No, the previous time was the SEC championship. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It wasn't as that SEC championship game wasn't as important as the last time we played for, I don't know, a national championship, the last time that your team was relevant. Bryce Young remembers he was a celebrity guest picker. He remembers that game. Clint: So it's Your building. You said Yeah. Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. It was. This time You are, and I and I don't Kalen De Bohr got up on Kirby early on because he had some tricks. He had a new bag, he was the new guy. And then Kirby figured it out. Daniel: Is a bad football coach. ⁓ Yeah. Mm-hmm. Like Josh Hype. Clint: Jo like Josh and by the way, Josh Hipel's been figured out by everyone. Daniel: Everybody Kirby's been passing notes. Clint: It's on film. All you do is you just pick up the film. It's out there in front of God and everybody. They they broadcast the dang thing. You pick up the film, then you say, This is what Kirby does. What if we just do this same thing? And we'll ⁓ this man was on the sideline losing his ever-loving mind. Going for it on fourth down when every metric in the world says, kick the dang ball, tie the game. Daniel: See, the thing is They do, they put it on TV. Listen, I before halftime, when they went for that on the goal line, Clint, I was not in a good way. Georgia was Georgia was giving up yards to this Alabama team and they were marching down the field. I was not in a good way. But when they when they went for it and they got it at halftime, I texted you almost immediately after that. Because All of a sudden you got the sense that, and you could hear Kirby's halftime interview going into the locker room. He was smiling. He was laughing. You got the sense that Caitlin DeBore knows we don't belong in this game with Georgia. Like, we're not the same, these two teams. We're we don't belong in this conversation. And so we're gonna have to scratch and claw and try to. Pull a Cinderella story. That's what Alabama was attempting to do is a Cinderella story beating Goliath. Well, we're Goliath and we just stepped on your throat. That's what happened. J That's It's like every battle before the Philistines fought the Israelites. Goliath won those. They just didn't get recorded in the book. You understand what we're saying? But there were a lot of them, and Clint: Yeah. That's what happened. Literally what's happened. Yes. They didn't they didn't. Daniel: That's what happened in all of ⁓ Clint: I cannot tell you the number of things that in this game I every big play that happened, Alabama capitalized on. They took advantage of those time. There was that we Holy jeez. Okay. Daniel: Yes. Tip ball interception in the first half. They catch it. Georgia tips three, four balls. Ha hands all over him. Georgia has a has a corner, undercut a route, break on a route. Keelan Russell throws it right to him. Georgia drops the ball. Clint: Yes. Yes. Beautifully played. Beautifully played by Barnes. Okay. We didn't in those instances. Third down, we let him escape. We keep them. It was very weird. By the way, this is how I know that he believes and knows that Kirby's got him because he wasn't trying to throw haymakers and he wasn't trying to go for the juggler right out of the bat. He was trying to keep on schedule with first, second, and third down. First down, five year runs, second down and ⁓ yeah, second and five. A four-yard run. Okay, now we're in third and one. We might be able to get a little boot action, might be able to get some underneath mesh concepts going, or we can run. ⁓ we got five yards, picked up first down. Great. That that's not what he's done before. What he's done before is fire off the missiles and see what happens. And he knew I I can't do that this time because that team on that sideline is better than me. And that coach over there is better than me. I We gotta hope home field, we gotta hope a couple of these bounces go our way and we can go ahead and capitalize on it. That's what he hoped, and it almost worked. But then the freaking the man, the myth, the legend, Gunnar Stockton said Coach, I'm fine doing this. Just just so you know. Daniel: Freaking stock. Put the ball in my hands and let's see what happens, coach. Clint: We'll be fine, coach. You you want to dial up a designed run on the edge? You want to do a little read option out there and get lost and lucky, booting out a freaking guy and have me cut up a seam and take two guys. This man, I I'm telling you this right now. I the ability to stand in the pocket with certain hurt pain. Just Daniel: Yes. Mm. Clint: Gonna need it's it's the ice bath that'll that'll be needed. Certain five extra minutes in the ice bath per hit. And for you to choose, this is where I stand, and this is my pocket, and I'm gonna deliver a strike from here, even though I know I'm getting barreled down on and we'll be that skill is not like other people don't have that skill. I'm here to tell you. Arch Manning does not have that. Trinidad Chambless does not have that. Keelan Russell does not have that. He has an escape ability to it. Daniel: No. Clint: But when he he started doing just hospital balls and grounders to wide receivers. Daniel: ⁓ he was throwing one hoppers. Clint: Because he couldn't take the heat of Chris Cole, Justin Williams, ⁓ Khalil Barnes, Dink coming down ⁓ Big Joe, Elijah Griffin, hello, sir. Hello, sir. He couldn't take it. Not like Gunnar Stockton could. So Daniel: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Ooh. ⁓ Mm-hmm. No, he's a he's a first year starter, and he's comparable to the other first year starters that you mentioned on the show. How dare you, first of all? How dare you? Guys, all we heard about all week was Keelan Russell can make throws that Gunnar Stockton can't dream about making. Okay. Where were they? What were those throws? Keelan Russell was sixteen of thirty for a buck eighty five, averaging six point two. Clint: He's good. Then I see. Yeah. That's what we're done. Daniel: Two yards per attempt. Dinking and donking. Clint: Here we Daniel: Gunnar Stockton, meanwhile, was 18 of 22 for 250, averaging eleven point three yards per attempt. Clint, there were three players of the eleven players that caught footballs tonight for Georgia. There were three of them who averaged less than 10 yards per reception. Clint: Okay, this is but s I'm sorry. I'm finding out real time with you. Daniel: Eight of eight of the eleven people who caught balls for Georgia tonight averaged over ten yards per reception. Clint: So eight players on Georgia who contributed were averaging a first down when they caught passes. Daniel: One of them was averaging 53 yards per reception, but yes, eight of them were averaging 10 yards or more per reception. Gunnar Stockton, I think, threw four passes all night that gained less than 10 yards. Four. Clint: Do you see why? Yeah. Yeah, I'm think uhhuh. So the swing out, ⁓ huh, uhhuh. Sideline, the out over there. Uhhuh, uhhuh. Okay, I'm I can't think of there are two. Daniel: Four. Yep. All night. All I was told was he can't he can't push the ball down the field. He can't throw it down the field. He can't do it. But not like Keelan Russell can. Keelan Russell, who by the way, averaged six yards per attempt in this game. Six yards per attempt. It's not great, friends. Clint: Impossible for him to impossible. No, he's not a true quarterback. Not like Keelan Ken. It's not great at all. Six yards per attempt and running for his life on a good majority of again. You're gonna have to live with Q coming off of a blitz and trying to hunker down and getting some anchor action in his backside and missing. Because that's not Q Alice did the same thing on a corner blitz. You're gonna have live with that sometimes because Keelan Russell is a very, very exceptional athlete. Daniel: And missing. Ellis Robinson did the same thing. Yep. Dynamic. Dynamic. Yeah. He's a worse quarterback than Gunnarstock. Clint: ⁓ but also run. D run. Pick up the first, 'cause you know what we're gonna do after you pick up the first, we're gonna recollect ourselves, we're gonna come back in and we're gonna stop you, we're gonna sack you, we're gonna hit you. Where's that conversation now, national media, everybody else, that Georgia can't get pressure on people? Daniel: Was Georgia defense just not able to really pressure the quarterback? The Georgia offense not really tested. Can't really throw the ball down the field. They hadn't played anybody any good, like Oklahoma or anything. Oklahoma's trash. We all know that. They hadn't ⁓ they hadn't played anybody and guys Clint: Yeah, really. Daniel: Georgia fans. The Alabama fans have left already. Clint: They can't they couldn't they're they're right now they are writing they are literally Daniel: They can't hang. They are crying. They're writing the SEC officiating office. Clint: That's they are going there right now with torches and dressed up in garb that they didn't have on previously. I'm not here to say what color the garb is that they didn't wear previously. I I don't know, but it's not crimson red is what I'm trying to tell you. Daniel: There's not i yeah. Well, only one one guy gets to wear that one. ⁓ the the the beaut the absolute beauty that is Alabama fans whining about the officiating Georgia fans should not be lost on you. And you should just soak it in. Their tears are fuel for us. They feed our soul, they nourish us. Clint: Soak it up. Mm-hmm. Speed. Daniel: But Georgia fans, just between us, right here. And by the way, thanks for being here. Thanks for watching the show. Thanks for being a subscriber to this channel. ⁓ make sure you subscribe to the newsletter, by the way. Georgia fans, surely we're all in agreement that Gunnar Stockton is him now, right? Surely we all know that he's him. Right? There's nobody else. Like when I was in the game on week one, the guy that was sitting th four rows behind me. Clint: He's him. Daniel: That was calling for Ryan Montgomery to be the starting quarterback at the University of Georgia. Surely that g even that guy knows that he's an idiot by now and that Gunnar Stockton is him, right? Clint: ⁓ my gosh. Ha you have to see this. You Daniel: What does the man need to see? What does he have to do? Clint: He went into T Town, beat Alabama, and in doing so was trusted with the offense on the most lost his top two running backs and lost two wide receivers that he had predominantly used in previous weeks. Okay. Daniel: And they put the game again on his shoulders in critical moments. Clint: Mike Bobo said, Gunner, we're gonna need you to go ahead and throw to Elias Williams on this incredibly tight window that they play zone. We told you, Alabama plays zone. They want everything in front of them, and they want windows that are very, very crisp and closing. They don't want to get lost in man coverage. He needed to dart passes. Daniel: ⁓ by the way, we've just committed a holding penalty. It's second and twenty. We're backed up out of field goal range, Gunner. ⁓ look. There's a seed to Talon Taylor on the sideline and he turns it around, cuts up field, and gets a first down. That throw. Clint: What about that one that he it was on third and long, gets it in there, now it's fourth and and short, and we go for it and we dial up a a run play design just and all we tell gunner is, I believe this tough SOB over here, he gonna get it. Daniel: Yes. He gon' get it. He gonna get it. Yeah. Yeah. The man's head is built like a football. Like he he's got the sh the shape of his head tells me everything I need to know. Clint: He did. He's It's a football playing shape. Daniel: It's a football player shaped head. Congratulations to Nick Saban on the upcoming documentary. I hope it's a smashing success. ⁓ Alabama fans enjoy watching it. ⁓ remember the glory days. Chris Fowler, I hope you get to go to the premiere of the documentary, the Saban documentary. Clint: Happy for you. He ⁓ he he was already there by the way. Chris Fowler literally was moderating the premiere this last Thursday. Daniel: Yeah. ⁓ we know. We know. w love just l love it for you, Alabama fans. Enjoy the Sabendoc. Remember the glory days. You used to be good at football. Clint: Or was it Herb Street? I can't I don't whatever. Can we can we really quick? Can we just very quick I'm so sorry. I I think Alabama's good. I think we're gonna thanks. It's my it's my damn show. Look, d don't tell me that you're not gonna get snake bitten ⁓ a week from today when you have to travel to Tennessee. Daniel: Clint, you can do whatever the heck you want. It's your show. Listen. sorry. People are acting like Alabama, Georgia in the SEC championship game is a foregone conclusion. I think you're misunderstanding. Georgia makes the SC championship game every year. Alabama though. Clint: You're telling me that Lane Kiffin's not gonna go ahead and feel some things at home at night against you? You you're telling me that Auburn isn't gonna go ahead and just ruin somebody's season at the end of Alabama. Daniel: ⁓ no. I'm just telling you, Georgia, Kentucky is going to be a heck of an SEC championship game. It's going to be a heck of a matchup. Clint: Gunnar Stockton's the second best quarterback that Kirby Smart has had. Daniel: Yes, it's behind only the greatest college quarterback of all time. Clint: Correct. He was down two running backs, two wide receivers, and still did it in Tuscaloosa. Chris Cole is the second best linebacker to ever play for Kirby Smart. And I and I'm here to tell you right now, this defensive line is just getting started with nastiness. Daniel: Is ⁓ they are getting better and better. Jordan Hall's playing the season that I've been waiting for my entire life. Clint: ⁓ you've been Daniel, this is the redemption tour for him and for you because you have been l on him since day one when he came in. This is it. Daniel: Been waiting for this moment for Jordan Hall and Elijah Griffin, ⁓ Big Joe making an appearance. Hello, Big Joe. Valdon Stone is a problem for a lot of people. You understand what I'm trying to say? Clint: No. Big. Bowed and sown. You know how there was Jalen Carter who was rated as a freshman, and Elijah Griffin was rated higher, and then Valden Sohn came. And and he, at this stage, is impacting games at a greater clip than those two previously mentioned gentlemen. Daniel: Say something else. Facts can sometimes hurt your feelings. See the comments from the earlier videos in the week. A lot of facts hurt a lot of Alabama fans' feelings. And yet here we are. Here we are. All right, Clint. He's Clint. I'm Daniel. Make sure you subscribe to the newsletter. ⁓ we'll be back this week talking ⁓ Georgia Auburn, more Georgia football, and ⁓ we'll see you guys then. Clint: All of them? See ya.
