- 0:23Glenn Beck is here with his 2020.
- 0:24Predictions.
- 0:25The Democrats are doing everything they can
- 0:27to sabotage the incoming Trump administration.
- 0:29We'll look at the latest there,
- 0:30but we're going to start by doing
- 0:32Biden's parting shots,
- 0:34and this is something we might not be paying all that close attention to,
- 0:37but
- 0:38you know,
- 0:38considering it's hard to even believe that Joe Biden
- 0:40is still the president of the United States.
- 0:43And it's also hard to believe that he could even stand up at this point,
- 0:45but he did,
- 0:47well,
- 0:47he didn't do a stand-up interview,
- 0:48he did a sit-down interview.
- 0:49So maybe he can't stand up,
- 0:50I don't know.
- 0:50But he did a sit-down interview with USA Today.
- 0:52He revealed his biggest regret and the compliment Trump gave him.
- 0:56I don't remember what the compliment was,
- 0:58that was the one I was focusing on when I read the article,
- 1:00but
- 1:00I will say,
- 1:01um,
- 1:01there is some interesting stuff in here,
- 1:03and it kind of highlights what Biden is doing with his last few weeks in office.
- 1:07When Biden met with Trump in the Oval Office a week after the November election.
- 1:10He urged the president-elect not to go forward
- 1:13with threats to target those who have criticized him
- 1:16or in Liz Cheney's case,
- 1:17helped lead efforts to impeach him.
- 1:19I tried to make clear there was no need,
- 1:21and it was counterintuitive for his interests to go back and try to settle scores.
- 1:24All right,
- 1:25Biden also warned that Trump risked upending the economic good times if he
- 1:32Because we're in the middle of economic good times,
- 1:34boys and girls,
- 1:35he didn't want to upend those economic good times
- 1:37if he enacts some of the policies he advocates.
- 1:40I think if he moves on the tax cuts of $5 trillion
- 1:42because usually tax cuts are terrible for the economy.
- 1:45Everyone knows that.
- 1:46I think if he moves on dealing with increasing tariffs across the board.
- 1:51And they are all increasing the cost of consumers in America.
- 1:54And if he decides to do away with some of the major programs,
- 1:57whether it's dealing with the rescue plan or the infrastructure or the climate law,
- 2:01I think he's just going to hurt himself and hurt the economy,
- 2:03yeah,
- 2:03because upending the climate law would be really rough
- 2:06for our economy.
- 2:07But then he moves on to a couple of other interesting things.
- 2:10Biden's predecessor turned successor
- 2:12has vowed to undo much of his legacy.
- 2:15Biden has tried to make that as difficult as possible,
- 2:19including by spending
- 2:21billions of dollars from the $1.2 trillion
- 2:24infrastructure bill in red states and districts,
- 2:26projects now lauded by some of the
- 2:28Republican members of Congress who represent them.
- 2:29People like free money.
- 2:30That's,
- 2:31that's a rock solid law of physics.
- 2:34It's the way to lock in a changed economy policy,
- 2:37economic policy,
- 2:38said Biden.
- 2:38So.
- 2:40There's a new president coming in.
- 2:41He's got a policy,
- 2:42but what Biden's trying to do is lock in all of his policies
- 2:45so that
- 2:46Trump can't really do anything about it.
- 2:49I understand that every president does that at some level.
- 2:52You want to make your economic legacy go on.
- 2:55But
- 2:56what Biden's doing is really above and beyond that,
- 2:59and I think it's been,
- 3:00it's sort of,
- 3:01there's been positives and negatives of this
- 3:04concept that we've all sort of noticed that
- 3:06it feels like Donald Trump's already president,
- 3:08right?
- 3:09He's the one doing press conferences.
- 3:10He's the one making pronouncements.
- 3:12He's the one interacting with world leaders.
- 3:14He's the one
- 3:15seemingly doing the vast majority of the job,
- 3:17at least the public facing job.
- 3:19But what we can't forget
- 3:20is that Joe Biden is still president,
- 3:22and he's still
- 3:24doing
- 3:25things.
- 3:27That's not good.
- 3:29We talked to,
- 3:29we have Glenn Beck coming up in a little bit.
- 3:31Glenn,
- 3:31uh,
- 3:32famously,
- 3:33over and over again with Barack Obama used to say,
- 3:35watch the other hand,
- 3:37you know,
- 3:37you,
- 3:37you've got a magician in front of you,
- 3:38they're doing this trick.
- 3:39Watch the other hand.
- 3:40What's he doing with that hand?
- 3:41Because that's
- 3:41where the real magic's gonna happen.
- 3:43Well,
- 3:43that's kind of what's going on right now
- 3:45with Joe Biden.
- 3:46Let me give you some examples of this,
- 3:47um,
- 3:48because it's,
- 3:48it's a bit disturbing.
- 3:50We talked about this briefly yesterday.
- 3:52Biden bans new oil and gas drilling off of
- 3:55most US coasts as Trump vows to unban immediately,
- 3:59though
- 3:59there are some legal issues with whether he can actually unban that immediately.
- 4:04President Joe Biden on Monday took sweeping action to permanently ban offshore,
- 4:08and permanently being the key word,
- 4:10offshore oil and gas drilling of the Atlantic and Pacific coasts,
- 4:13protecting more than 625 million
- 4:15federal acres from future leasing.
- 4:17But President-elect Donald Trump vowed he will work to reverse the ban,
- 4:21calling Biden's 11th hour move ridiculous and promising to unban it immediately.
- 4:26That is the way that law is written,
- 4:28at least a lot of legal experts believe he can't just unban it himself.
- 4:32In other words,
- 4:32you can put the ban on permanently
- 4:34as President of the United States.
- 4:36You can't take it off
- 4:37if you are the next President of the United States.
- 4:40You have to pass a law in Congress,
- 4:42and they might be able to do that actually because
- 4:44of the way it's formatted.
- 4:45The problem with that is a lot of people
- 4:47in,
- 4:48you know,
- 4:48even in Republican states will say,
- 4:50Well,
- 4:50we don't want offshore drilling off our coasts.
- 4:52Our beaches are awesome.
- 4:54So there could be a problem actually getting that through.
- 4:57This is a really bizarre thing to do.
- 4:59With 2 weeks before his term ends,
- 5:02he issued two presidential memoranda under
- 5:04the 1953 Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act
- 5:07to prohibit offshore drilling
- 5:09of the entire
- 5:10Atlantic coast,
- 5:11the eastern Gulf of Mexico,
- 5:12the Pacific coast,
- 5:13and the continental US,
- 5:14and portions of the northern Bering Sea.
- 5:17In Alaska.
- 5:18Now Trump did address this in that
- 5:21press conference he did yesterday.
- 5:22He talked about unbanning it.
- 5:24He did get fact checked for this because what
- 5:26he actually technically said was the 625 million acres,
- 5:29people can't realize it's like the whole ocean.
- 5:32The New York Times actually did a fact check of whether it was the whole ocean.
- 5:38That's false.
- 5:39Mr.
- 5:39Trump was referring to an executive order President Biden issued
- 5:43on 625 million acres of US coastal water.
- 5:45That's about 20% of the 3.2 billion acres of seabed managed by the
- 5:50Interior Department and less than 1% of the 360 million square kilometers,
- 5:55or 89 billion acres of ocean.
- 5:57Did anyone need that fact check?
- 5:58Were you like?
- 5:59I don't know.
- 6:00Did he ban US offshore drilling off the coast of Indonesia?
- 6:04I don't know.
- 6:05What about the Arctic Sea?
- 6:07What did he say about that?
- 6:09What about all the waters we have absolutely no control over whatsoever?
- 6:12Did he ban drilling there?
- 6:15No one thought
- 6:16he was banning drilling
- 6:18for the US
- 6:19off the coast of Australia.
- 6:22But the New York Times came in and make sure you knew Trump was lying about that.
- 6:25He wasn't.
- 6:26Look,
- 6:27it was 20% of all the water the US government controls.
- 6:32That is a massive,
- 6:34massive number,
- 6:35and it is a totally
- 6:38horrible thing for President Biden to have done because
- 6:42we're not even saying that we were going to develop those lands,
- 6:45but
- 6:46the fact that we had the option.
- 6:48To do offshore drilling in those waters is something that
- 6:50we could have used if we needed it later on,
- 6:53and now
- 6:54that's taken out
- 6:55of the realm of possibility unless you have some act of Congress,
- 6:58and we know how confident Congress is.
- 7:00So thanks a lot,
- 7:01Joe Biden.
- 7:01We'll see if
- 7:03I will say
- 7:04there's probably
- 7:05a legal argument that will be brought up by the incoming Trump administration
- 7:09that says actually we can overturn that.
- 7:11We will see that play out in the courts,
- 7:12of course,
- 7:13over time.
- 7:15It's not just the waters though.
- 7:16Biden is also designating Chuckwalla and
- 7:20what's the pronunciation,
- 7:21Saitla,
- 7:22the Citla Area National Monuments in California.
- 7:26Uh,
- 7:26President Biden travels to California,
- 7:28uh,
- 7:29to the Coachella Valley in California.
- 7:30To announce the creation of two national monuments that together will protect,
- 7:34again these words protect,
- 7:35it sounds so awesome,
- 7:37doesn't it?
- 7:37He's just protecting things.
- 7:39They're protecting women's health,
- 7:41boys and girls.
- 7:42That's how they do this.
- 7:43They lie to you.
- 7:44They change the words,
- 7:45they make it sound good when it's not good.
- 7:48Protecting more than 848,000 acres of land in the state
- 7:51from drilling and mining,
- 7:52as well as wind,
- 7:53solar,
- 7:53and other energy development.
- 7:55Another fascinating part of the green movement.
- 7:56They want wind and solar,
- 7:58but they won't let you put it anywhere.
- 8:00Because
- 8:01trees and fish and plants and whatever other BS excuse they come up with.
- 8:06According to the White House,
- 8:07one site in the mountains near Joshua Tree
- 8:09National Park will be designated Chuckwalla National Monument.
- 8:12The other
- 8:13woodlands north of Mount Shasta near the Oregon border will be the Saitla.
- 8:18It's a fun word to say,
- 8:19Saitla.
- 8:21national monument.
- 8:21So there you go.
- 8:22The proclamation caps a flurry of final environmental proclamations
- 8:25that Mr.
- 8:26Biden has issued in final days.
- 8:27We talked about the 600 million acres of US waters.
- 8:30Um,
- 8:30also,
- 8:31uh,
- 8:31the administration barred oil,
- 8:32gas,
- 8:32and geothermal development
- 8:34in Nevada's high alpine Ruby Mountain
- 8:37and also prevented mining and geothermal leasing in
- 8:3920,000 acres of the Black Hills National Forest
- 8:42in South Dakota.
- 8:44Again,
- 8:44geothermal is green technology.
- 8:46And they won't let you do any of it anywhere,
- 8:49it seems like
- 8:50just absolutely
- 8:51fascinating.
- 8:52Now it's not just environmental stuff.
- 8:55There's other economic things that they're doing right now.
- 8:58Again,
- 8:58watch the other hand.
- 8:59Sure,
- 8:59Donald Trump's talking about Greenland and we're
- 9:01going to talk to Glenn about Greenland
- 9:02and Canada and Panama.
- 9:04All that stuff is actually important at one level.
- 9:06The Canada 51st state,
- 9:08I don't think is going to happen,
- 9:08but generally.
- 9:09Speaking,
- 9:10it's all pretty important at some level or another,
- 9:12but Trump is using,
- 9:14excuse me,
- 9:14Biden is using Trump's
- 9:17way of controlling all the oxygen in a room
- 9:20to pass a bunch of stuff through
- 9:21that no one is really noticing.
- 9:23The Biden administration moves to ban medical debt from credit reports.
- 9:27This is incredible.
- 9:29The Consumer Federal Protection Bureau moved on Tuesday to ban.
- 9:31And medical debt from appearing on credit reports,
- 9:34potentially lifting the credit scores of about 15 million Americans
- 9:37and making it easier for them to obtain loans.
- 9:40The finalized new rule would effectively prohibit loan providers
- 9:43from using medical information while making lending decisions.
- 9:46It is set to take effect 60 days after publication in the Federal Register,
- 9:49but with President Trump returning to office this month,
- 9:51its future remains
- 9:53in question.
- 9:54And that one kind of like,
- 9:55you know,
- 9:56as is typical with liberal proposals,
- 9:59kind of sounds good,
- 10:00right?
- 10:00Like you know someone who
- 10:02had got into medical debt,
- 10:03maybe you weren't insured or maybe
- 10:05your insurance didn't cover something,
- 10:06you get $50,000 in debt
- 10:09and you want to go get a loan out,
- 10:10and of course you can't because of all this medical debt and that sucks,
- 10:13and we feel for these people,
- 10:14we want them to be able to get loans.
- 10:15OK,
- 10:16fine,
- 10:16I get that.
- 10:17That makes
- 10:17sense from a heart
- 10:19perspective.
- 10:20Now from a mind perspective,
- 10:22if you are a bank
- 10:24and you're about to loan someone some money and you don't know that
- 10:26they have $50,000 that they have to pay off in the next year,
- 10:31what do you think is going to happen to that loan?
- 10:33Did any of us live through 2008?
- 10:36There was a whole big thing that happened where people took
- 10:39out loans they couldn't afford and it almost destroyed our economy.
- 10:42If you don't,
- 10:44if you're withholding information from lenders
- 10:47saying,
- 10:48hey,
- 10:49you can't even see what this person actually owes.
- 10:53What do you think is going to happen?
- 10:55People are going to,
- 10:56what,
- 10:56what would you do?
- 10:57Wouldn't you take out when you're at the last moment
- 11:01of your medical,
- 11:02you know,
- 11:02debt payments and you couldn't make them,
- 11:03Wouldn't you just go take out a new loan and make
- 11:06the payments to your medical debt with the new loan
- 11:08and try to draw it out a little bit longer?
- 11:09Who's going to get screwed there?
- 11:11You can't do that.
- 11:12This is going to cause a collapse,
- 11:14and of course it's also going to make banks do things like anyone who's borderline.
- 11:19Yeah,
- 11:19what if they have some medical debt?
- 11:20Let's factor in
- 11:21$10,000 in medical debt.
- 11:23Will we still make this loan?
- 11:24No,
- 11:24OK,
- 11:24don't make this loan to this person who doesn't
- 11:26have medical debt and completely deserves the loan.
- 11:30It makes absolutely no sense.
- 11:31So of course Joe Biden is pushing it through.
- 11:34This one looks like
- 11:35Donald Trump would be able to reverse it,
- 11:37but you know he still has to of course do that.
- 11:40Hopes are high,
- 11:41I think on that one.
- 11:41Biden doing other things as well.
- 11:43He's,
- 11:43you know,
- 11:43he's been pardoning his son and many others.
- 11:45He's also commuted the sentences of 37 death row inmates,
- 11:49citing moral
- 11:50and policy objections to capital punishment.
- 11:53He said he was commuting the death sentences of 37.
- 11:55Inmates on Monday,
- 11:56a move that prevents Donald Trump from executing most men on federal death row.
- 12:01The 37 men,
- 12:02all convicted of murder,
- 12:04will now serve life imprisonment without parole.
- 12:07Now this one might not have a big effect on your day to day life.
- 12:10If these people actually stay in prison for the rest of their lives,
- 12:13it will just cost you a bunch of money and that will be
- 12:15the end of it.
- 12:16However,
- 12:17what I will say,
- 12:18and this is my problem with the pardon power generally.
- 12:22That's just a change of the law.
- 12:25Right,
- 12:25he just made the federal death penalty
- 12:28illegal,
- 12:29mostly.
- 12:30He just took it away and said,
- 12:31I don't like it,
- 12:32and therefore I'm going to pardon all these people,
- 12:34and no matter what you do with the federal death penalty,
- 12:37those people,
- 12:38all those people who were convicted through the normal process,
- 12:40who,
- 12:41you know,
- 12:41who were convicted under the law,
- 12:43that law is now extinct.
- 12:46And that's why I don't like this policy,
- 12:48you know.
- 12:48He did this with a bunch of drug
- 12:50users as well and was like,
- 12:51oh well,
- 12:52thousands of people
- 12:53who were on these particular
- 12:56series of crimes,
- 12:57we're just going to blanket give them commutations,
- 13:00and it's like,
- 13:00well,
- 13:01that just means the law doesn't exist anymore.
- 13:03You didn't pass that law through Congress.
- 13:05You just said that law no longer has any penalty to it.
- 13:09I just don't,
- 13:09I mean,
- 13:09I'm just not a fan of,
- 13:10of the pardon power.
- 13:11That's,
- 13:11that's what kings do,
- 13:12OK?
- 13:13We should get rid of it.
- 13:14I would be for it.
- 13:15I would be for at least amending it seriously,
- 13:17but maybe just getting rid of it completely.
- 13:19Anyway,
- 13:19um,
- 13:20uh,
- 13:20also,
- 13:21it's not just,
- 13:23you know,
- 13:23pardoning people here in the United States.
- 13:25This 1 may very well have a real effect in your life.
- 13:28US in talks with the Taliban
- 13:30for release of Americans held in Afghanistan.
- 13:33The Biden administration has been in talks.
- 13:34With the Taliban to exchange Americans detained
- 13:37in Afghanistan for Afghans in US custody.
- 13:39A senior Taliban leader with direct knowledge of
- 13:41the negotiations told NBC News on Wednesday,
- 13:43who's NBC News apparently in touch with the Taliban,
- 13:46just so you guys know.
- 13:47The Taliban leader,
- 13:47who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he
- 13:50was not authorized to discuss the issue publicly,
- 13:52said the two sides had been negotiating for the past 2 years,
- 13:55but had so far failed
- 13:56to reach a deal.
- 13:57Now you know what these things look like.
- 13:58They're usually really,
- 13:59really bad.
- 14:00Went through a bunch of this.
- 14:01They were trading,
- 14:02you know,
- 14:02they'd get 5 prisoners back for 500
- 14:05criminals,
- 14:06and then those 500 criminals come back on October 7th and do different things
- 14:10to the country.
- 14:11This doesn't work out well typically.
- 14:13We do do it occasionally,
- 14:14but it doesn't usually work out well.
- 14:16We're talking about releasing Guantanamo prisoners,
- 14:20and we'll see how that works out.
- 14:22I'm sure very,
- 14:22very well.
- 14:23When I say it could affect your life,
- 14:24it could also end it.
- 14:27Because
- 14:27a lot of these times guys get back on the battlefield,
- 14:29they wind up somehow helping and assisting attacks on America or its allies.
- 14:35So I look forward to that.
- 14:37There's also,
- 14:38he's also doing this.
- 14:39A woman's suffrage monument
- 14:40is coming to the National
- 14:42Mall.
- 14:43Over the weekend,
- 14:43President Joe Biden signed a law allowing
- 14:46women's suffrage national monument to be built.
- 14:48The bill was first introduced in 2023.
- 14:50The monument is expected to be completed between 2032
- 14:53and 2033.
- 14:55I mean,
- 14:55if it was a men's suffrage monument,
- 14:56we'd have that done in two weeks,
- 14:58OK.
- 14:59To be honest about it.
- 15:01Women always running late.
- 15:03That's just a fact.
- 15:03OK,
- 15:04um,
- 15:04so
- 15:06that is what Biden is doing
- 15:07with his last moments.
- 15:08His,
- 15:09his,
- 15:09his parting shots to you.
- 15:11Now let me show you what your parting shots to him are.
- 15:15We know about all the Trump stuff,
- 15:16putting him in office is going to undo a lot of the stuff that Biden does.
- 15:18That's one way to send a message.
- 15:20Another way to send a message is
- 15:21to tell Joe Biden exactly how you feel about his presidency.
- 15:24Americans think history will rate Biden presidency
- 15:28negatively.
- 15:29What a shock.
- 15:31Expected historical ratings of Joe Biden by political party.
- 15:36Democrats say only 12% of Democrats,
- 15:38that's Joe Biden's party if you didn't know,
- 15:40think it will be an outstanding,
- 15:41people will remember it in an outstanding way.
- 15:43Only 32% say above average,
- 15:45so overall
- 15:46a positive view.
- 15:4744% of Democrats think it will be viewed positively.
- 15:52On the other side,
- 15:5338% say average,
- 15:57and about 16% say below average or poor.
- 15:59For independents,
- 16:00it's of course much,
- 16:01much worse for Joe Biden.
- 16:02Only 15% say it will be above average or outstanding.
- 16:0551% say it will be below average or poor.
- 16:09Republicans,
- 16:10of course,
- 16:10even worse.
- 16:11You can't even see the outstanding,
- 16:13I think the 0%.
- 16:14Standing about 1% above average,
- 16:16uh,
- 16:16about
- 16:1993%
- 16:20say it will be below average or poor,
- 16:23just the 93%.
- 16:24But what does that mean?
- 16:24I guess that's,
- 16:25there's always a split like that,
- 16:26right?
- 16:26Like Republicans like their presidents,
- 16:28Democrats don't
- 16:29like theirs.
- 16:29Where does this place as far as US history goes?
- 16:32Well,
- 16:32right near the bottom,
- 16:33as you might
- 16:34expect,
- 16:35only ahead of Richard Nixon.
- 16:37Nixon was 12% outstanding or above average.
- 16:41Biden is at 19% overall
- 16:43outstanding or above average.
- 16:45George W.
- 16:45Bush
- 16:46was at 24%.
- 16:48Donald Trump was at 40%,
- 16:50uh,
- 16:50outstanding or above average.
- 16:53Uh,
- 16:53and,
- 16:53uh,
- 16:53you know,
- 16:54you have Bill Clinton at 34%,
- 16:57Jimmy Carter 32%,
- 16:58George HW Bush at 28%.
- 17:02And then you've got
- 17:04Barack Obama,
- 17:06who's up at 48%.
- 17:08The only one,
- 17:08it's really Obama,
- 17:09Reagan,
- 17:09and Kennedy are the only three that have a higher positive
- 17:13than Donald Trump.
- 17:15Trump though has higher negatives than a lot of other presidents.
- 17:18There's a lot more
- 17:19kind of like
- 17:20shoulder shrug of a bunch of presidents before Trump.
- 17:23People like George HW Bush,
- 17:2448% of people just said,
- 17:26ah,
- 17:26it was average,
- 17:27you know,
- 17:28you know,
- 17:29it's,
- 17:29it's an unfair
- 17:30look.
- 17:31So what does all this mean?
- 17:32It just means that while we are sitting here,
- 17:34uh,
- 17:35on,
- 17:35what is it,
- 17:35uh,
- 17:36January 8th,
- 17:37we've got 12 days until Donald Trump gets back into office.
- 17:41Obviously the Trump administration has got a lot to worry about right now.
- 17:45They're working on the transition,
- 17:46getting people nominated,
- 17:47approved.
- 17:48All that stuff is going on.
- 17:51They need just to keep an eye on that other hand though when it comes
- 17:55to Joe Biden because he is doing a bunch of stuff here in the last moments
- 17:58to try to make not only the Trump administration's job more difficult,
- 18:02but also to lock in the terrible policies that
- 18:05Biden had that gave him those terrible approval ratings.
- 18:08He's trying to lock in those policies,
- 18:11so
- 18:12job number one for Donald Trump is going to be to get in.
- 18:15And dismantle all the things he's done not only in the past 2 weeks,
- 18:19but unfortunately in the past 4 years.
- 18:31Alright,
- 18:32everyone is saying their 2025 is going to be different,
- 18:34and for better or for worse,
- 18:36it will be different,
- 18:37that's for sure.
- 18:38I think it's going to be better,
- 18:39hopefully.
- 18:40But wouldn't it be nice if 2025 was easier,
- 18:42at least,
- 18:43and it can be easier with Rayon everyday earbuds.
- 18:46They already have tens of thousands of 5-star reviews online.
- 18:49Their latest model is better than ever.
- 18:51It comes with a 32 hour battery life
- 18:53and multi-point connectivity
- 18:55that lets you pair two devices.
- 18:57At once.
- 18:58They also come with active noise cancellation,
- 19:00which is great.
- 19:00They're available in a bunch of great colors.
- 19:02Rayons start at just half the price of other premium audio brands,
- 19:05and although 2025 isn't guaranteed to be easy,
- 19:08Rayon's return policy very much is.
- 19:10They have a 30 day happiness guarantee
- 19:12and civil returns.
- 19:13But my wife,
- 19:14I've had Rayons for a long time now.
- 19:16You've heard me talking about them.
- 19:17My wife had AirPods,
- 19:19the other Apple,
- 19:20the Apple ones,
- 19:21and she lost them.
- 19:23And so she's running around the house,
- 19:24she's like,
- 19:25I gotta get new AirPods,
- 19:26and I go,
- 19:26why don't you try Rayons?
- 19:28They're better.
- 19:29You're going to like them better.
- 19:30I've got an extra pair in the other room.
- 19:32Now this was not even the new Rayon,
- 19:33this is like a generation or two ago.
- 19:36I had them from a couple of years ago,
- 19:37and I said,
- 19:38just use these,
- 19:38go to the gym with these,
- 19:39see if you like these.
- 19:41She comes back,
- 19:41she's like,
- 19:41Why haven't I been using these the entire time?
- 19:43They're way better.
- 19:44They fit flush in your ears.
- 19:45They're not dangling down.
- 19:46I don't knock them out of my ear all the time.
- 19:48They're way better.
- 19:49Why am I not using these?
- 19:50And that's what I said.
- 19:51Yes,
- 19:52you should,
- 19:53you should too.

- 20:10Yesterday was our 1,000th episode of Studios America,
- 20:14and we revealed our most frequent guest list,
- 20:18and this is how it went down if you missed it.
- 20:19Uh,
- 20:19number 5 was a tie between Pat Gray and Rob Eno with 30 appearances.
- 20:24Sarah Gonzalez had 42 appearances.
- 20:27Jason Buttrell,
- 20:2878 appearances.
- 20:30Dan Andros with 81 appearances.
- 20:33And in first place,
- 20:35the most appearances in the entire history of the program with 141 appearances,
- 20:42Glenn Beck.
- 20:43And here for number 142
- 20:45is Mr.
- 20:46Beck.
- 20:46Glenn,
- 20:46welcome to the program
- 20:48once again.
- 20:50How do I make it stop?
- 20:52How do I make it stop?
- 20:53I,
- 20:55I really,
- 20:55do,
- 20:57do you look back at your career and think,
- 20:58wow,
- 20:58141 times on that
- 21:0141 times I've been on this stupid,
- 21:03stupid show
- 21:05and,
- 21:06uh,
- 21:07you know,
- 21:08just.
- 21:09I don't know,
- 21:10Stu.
- 21:10It's maybe,
- 21:11maybe we should,
- 21:11maybe we,
- 21:12maybe you should look at the ratings in a new light.
- 21:14You should see that and go,
- 21:15hm,
- 21:16maybe that's the problem,
- 21:17you know what I'm saying?
- 21:18Yeah,
- 21:19I thought you were the cure,
- 21:20but apparently,
- 21:21no,
- 21:21apparently that's the problem.
- 21:24Before we get to your special tonight,
- 21:26I,
- 21:26I want to talk a little bit about
- 21:28Donald Trump and what,
- 21:30first of all,
- 21:30how he's already president of the United
- 21:32States apparently he's doing press conferences,
- 21:34which you know,
- 21:35all these things that you'd think the president would do,
- 21:37and he's sort of outlining in broad strokes
- 21:40some controversial policies,
- 21:42and I want to go through them with you and maybe you can kind of distill them.
- 21:45Into what
- 21:46what is his overarching theory here.
- 21:49Let's start with Greenland.
- 21:51He goes Donald Trump Jr.
- 21:52is over there.
- 21:53They're they're doing
- 21:55this
- 21:56this pitch to buy Greenland from
- 21:59from Denmark.
- 22:00What is Trump trying to do here?
- 22:03He's trying to make us competitive.
- 22:04He's trying to move us into the,
- 22:06uh,
- 22:06next phase of America.
- 22:08He's turning the page and saying America doesn't have to die.
- 22:11America can grow and expand and be,
- 22:14uh,
- 22:14a world leader again,
- 22:15but to do that
- 22:17we need,
- 22:17uh,
- 22:18strategic
- 22:19spaces,
- 22:20uh,
- 22:20close to the homeland.
- 22:22Um,
- 22:22we need,
- 22:23uh,
- 22:24to be a big provider of energy.
- 22:26We could be the greatest provider of energy for Europe,
- 22:29uh,
- 22:30because of all the oil that is in Greenland,
- 22:32um,
- 22:33uh,
- 22:34also,
- 22:35uh,
- 22:35rare earth minerals.
- 22:36Uh,
- 22:37it is the best investment of,
- 22:39you know,
- 22:39$1 trillion.01 trillion.5 dollars that I think the United States could ever make,
- 22:43um.
- 22:44So I,
- 22:45I,
- 22:45I think it's brilliant that that particular move is,
- 22:49let's be aggressive
- 22:50and not lay down and die and say it's inevitable.
- 22:54Let's write new chapters and begin again.
- 22:58Let's kind of call this game real
- 23:01or negotiating.
- 23:02100% real.
- 23:04He really wants to buy Greenland.
- 23:06100% real.
- 23:08OK,
- 23:08yep.
- 23:08All right,
- 23:09real or negotiating,
- 23:11does he really want to make Canada the 51st state?
- 23:14Negotiating.
- 23:16What's he trying to do there?
- 23:16Negotiating.
- 23:18Hm.
- 23:20What was your question?
- 23:20What's he trying to do
- 23:21with this negotiation?
- 23:23Uh,
- 23:24he's really,
- 23:24and really with all of them,
- 23:26he's just resetting
- 23:28America.
- 23:29He is saying,
- 23:30you know,
- 23:31world,
- 23:31we're kind of tired of all this,
- 23:33you know,
- 23:33we have our problems,
- 23:34we've caused problems,
- 23:36you know,
- 23:36but
- 23:37we'll fix those.
- 23:39It's time for you to step up to the plate.
- 23:41You know,
- 23:41uh,
- 23:42uh,
- 23:43Denmark,
- 23:43what,
- 23:44what have you done for NATO?
- 23:45What have you done for national security?
- 23:48Canada,
- 23:49what have you done
- 23:50for national security?
- 23:51We,
- 23:52we provide all of your security,
- 23:54and what are you doing?
- 23:55You're just letting all these criminals and all
- 23:57of these illegals come across our border.
- 23:59Look at how many Chinese are now growing weed farms
- 24:02and sending all the money back to the Chinese Communist Party,
- 24:06uh,
- 24:06up just right across the Canadian border.
- 24:08Enough is enough.
- 24:10You're gonna stop it,
- 24:11or we're going to,
- 24:12uh,
- 24:13or we're going to hit you with massive,
- 24:15uh,
- 24:16trade,
- 24:17uh,
- 24:18uh,
- 24:19tariffs.
- 24:19And instead of focusing on that,
- 24:22he is saying instead,
- 24:24you know.
- 24:25Uh,
- 24:26we love you.
- 24:27You love us.
- 24:28Why don't we just,
- 24:29you're part of the family anyway.
- 24:30Why don't you just come into the family?
- 24:32It's a way for him to troll,
- 24:34um,
- 24:35uh,
- 24:35the Prime Minister Trudeau,
- 24:37and at the same time make his point,
- 24:40but in a positive way,
- 24:42you know,
- 24:42we're,
- 24:42we're,
- 24:43things are going to change.
- 24:44Now,
- 24:46we do this the easy way,
- 24:47we could do this the hard way.
- 24:48All I want you to do is just
- 24:49watch your border
- 24:50for us,
- 24:51OK?
- 24:52And,
- 24:52uh,
- 24:53start pitching in.
- 24:54We've
- 24:55carried a lot of load for the rest of the world.
- 24:58We wanna be everybody's partners and friends,
- 25:01but we're not gonna carry the,
- 25:02we're not gonna be suckers anymore.
- 25:04All right,
- 25:04uh,
- 25:05real or negotiating
- 25:06the Panama Canal,
- 25:07we're gonna take it over again.
- 25:09I'm not hearing Stu.
- 25:12This is the,
- 25:12this is the best appearance he's ever had.
- 25:14Not hearing you.
- 25:15You're not hearing me.
- 25:16This is the best,
- 25:17this is the best thing that could ever happen to this show.
- 25:20I can't hear him.
- 25:21The show's ratings are gonna go through the roof if the audience can't hear him.
- 25:25This is fantastic.
- 25:26Yeah,
- 25:26unfortunately the audience can't hear me.
- 25:28All right,
- 25:28let's take a quick break and uh we'll fix this connection.
- 25:31There we are.
- 25:31OK,
- 25:32there you are.
- 25:32Now you are.
- 25:32There you are.
- 25:33Let's just leave all this in because I think it was funny because you've,
- 25:36you said the exact same thing.
- 25:37I said,
- 25:38which was this was your favorite appearance of all time.
- 25:40So leave all that in.
- 25:43um,
- 25:44OK,
- 25:44so,
- 25:44uh,
- 25:45real or negotiating,
- 25:46uh,
- 25:46the Panama Canal.
- 25:47We're going to take over the Panama Canal.
- 25:49Is he real on that?
- 25:50Probably the most real,
- 25:52uh,
- 25:52he's been on anything.
- 25:54Uh,
- 25:54the most serious,
- 25:56uh,
- 25:57you know,
- 25:57he is,
- 25:58he is dead serious when it comes to nuclear weapons and war,
- 26:01World War 3.
- 26:03you know,
- 26:04he has told me
- 26:05privately and he has said it publicly.
- 26:07Um,
- 26:08the dangers of nuclear war have never been more real,
- 26:11and you don't want to see what war is like in World War 3,
- 26:15he said,
- 26:15I,
- 26:16I,
- 26:16I
- 26:17updated our military.
- 26:19I,
- 26:19I did things as president.
- 26:22As uh 45
- 26:24that we didn't talk about
- 26:26and uh I updated and he said you do not want to see
- 26:31the real might of this country.
- 26:33He said it's terrifying.
- 26:34I know what we can do.
- 26:36You don't want war.
- 26:38Um,
- 26:38now
- 26:39to keep us out of war,
- 26:41we have a Cuban Missile Crisis that is developing,
- 26:44and that is when,
- 26:45uh,
- 26:46you know,
- 26:46the Panama Canal,
- 26:48you know,
- 26:48we didn't have a problem when England
- 26:50through Hong Kong was,
- 26:52you know,
- 26:53partnering up with the Panama Canal and running things.
- 26:56Nobody said anything
- 26:58about the Panama Canal.
- 27:00This shows how deep,
- 27:01uh,
- 27:01Donald Trump is on national security.
- 27:04This is true national security.
- 27:06If you think that Ukraine,
- 27:09uh,
- 27:09had a point or Russia had a point with their borders,
- 27:13they're sitting right next to each other,
- 27:15well,
- 27:15here's China
- 27:16controlling the most strategic
- 27:19US asset
- 27:20of maybe all time in this hemisphere,
- 27:23the Panama Canal.
- 27:24China is controlling it,
- 27:26and those are,
- 27:27they may just look like Chinese citizens,
- 27:29they're completely disconnected.
- 27:31But you know,
- 27:32the,
- 27:33uh,
- 27:33Chinese Communist Party
- 27:35is all over the Panama Canal.
- 27:37It has got to stop,
- 27:39and Donald Trump is taking a very aggressive,
- 27:44very smart,
- 27:45wise step
- 27:47to get it to stop.
- 27:48Mm,
- 27:49yeah,
- 27:49it's still unbelievable.
- 27:50We just gave that up.
- 27:51It is legitimately incredible.
- 27:53And you know,
- 27:53the,
- 27:54the fact that no president has,
- 27:55has taken this on like Donald Trump is,
- 27:58um,
- 27:58you know,
- 27:59it,
- 27:59we talk about,
- 28:00well,
- 28:00we're gonna go defend Taiwan with what?
- 28:03With what?
- 28:04If all of your ships are in the Atlantic,
- 28:06how long is it gonna take you to get to the Pacific
- 28:10if you don't have the Panama Canal?
- 28:12How do you get things into the Pacific that we need into the Pacific?
- 28:16It,
- 28:16it's,
- 28:17it's
- 28:17insanity that we have let them take that asset.
- 28:21Uh,
- 28:22and control it and put us over a barrel.
- 28:25It,
- 28:25it's unacceptable.
- 28:27All right,
- 28:27last one,
- 28:28real or negotiating,
- 28:29uh,
- 28:30changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
- 28:33Absolutely real.
- 28:35He's going to do that,
- 28:35isn't he?
- 28:36Yeah,
- 28:37I haven't talked to Mr.
- 28:37Rand or McNally,
- 28:39uh,
- 28:39so I don't know what the rules are.
- 28:41I was talking to Charlie Kirk,
- 28:42uh,
- 28:42today,
- 28:43and he said,
- 28:44no,
- 28:44it's just a committee that gets together and
- 28:46the president appoints who's on the committee.
- 28:47He said he's,
- 28:48we're going to call it the Gulf of America,
- 28:51but it is,
- 28:52it's very real,
- 28:53but it is also negotiation.
- 28:54It is also saying to Mexico.
- 28:57Um,
- 28:58you know,
- 28:59we're done with you.
- 29:00You can't control your gangs,
- 29:02uh,
- 29:03you can't control your border,
- 29:05um,
- 29:05you know,
- 29:06it,
- 29:06it's,
- 29:07we're done.
- 29:08You're going to control your border and you're going to control the gangs,
- 29:11or we will send in our Navy SEALs and everybody else,
- 29:14and we'll decimate,
- 29:16uh,
- 29:16your,
- 29:17uh,
- 29:17your drug cartels,
- 29:19um,
- 29:20and just by the way,
- 29:21to let you know how unimportant you are to us now and to the world.
- 29:25Um,
- 29:26it's not the Gulf of Mexico anymore,
- 29:28so he's serious because he wants a new chapter of American,
- 29:32uh,
- 29:33expansion as far as
- 29:35just getting into the game,
- 29:37uh,
- 29:38not some imperialistic expansion,
- 29:40but just
- 29:41being America and getting back into the game.
- 29:44This is a way for our self-respect,
- 29:47so he's doing it for all those reasons,
- 29:49but he's also using it as a negotiation to say Mexico,
- 29:52uh,
- 29:53you can be part of the future or not.
- 29:55Um,
- 29:56it's interesting because part of me thinks that I mean there is a love of
- 30:00from Trump
- 30:01toward like an expansionist era,
- 30:03and,
- 30:03and imperialism has this like
- 30:05really bad,
- 30:06uh,
- 30:07you know,
- 30:07association obviously because it's associated with war and destruction and,
- 30:11and killing natives and all those other things.
- 30:13It's been
- 30:14honestly,
- 30:14it's kind of who we've been
- 30:16in the last 50 years.
- 30:18We haven't taken property,
- 30:20but we certainly have taken control of the world
- 30:24and we've been fine,
- 30:26you know,
- 30:26does it look like we're,
- 30:28uh,
- 30:28you know,
- 30:29uh,
- 30:30short of money.
- 30:31You know,
- 30:31when,
- 30:32uh,
- 30:32who was it?
- 30:32I think it was Charlie said,
- 30:34you know,
- 30:35uh,
- 30:35to me,
- 30:35Charlie Kirk said,
- 30:36you know,
- 30:36Denmark's not exactly,
- 30:38uh,
- 30:39wealthy in compared to,
- 30:40compared to us.
- 30:41Well,
- 30:41I don't know what their debt is.
- 30:44I know what our debt is.
- 30:45We might be the one that has the biggest
- 30:47house and all the Ferraris and everything else,
- 30:49but we are leveraged beyond belief,
- 30:52so we're technically not the richest kids on the block,
- 30:56um,
- 30:56but we've acted like we were forever.
- 30:58It's gotta stop.
- 30:59We have to go into reality.
- 31:01We do have to make investments,
- 31:03investments on bringing factories back here,
- 31:06bringing the smartest people in the world
- 31:09here for reinvention.
- 31:12Um,
- 31:12but also investing in actual hard assets.
- 31:17Um,
- 31:17you have a prediction show tonight.
- 31:19Uh,
- 31:20you're of course famous for your prognostication over the years,
- 31:23um,
- 31:24and,
- 31:24and you do this kind of every year.
- 31:25You,
- 31:25you come up with a list of things that you think
- 31:28might happen or at least we might go in that direction,
- 31:30uh,
- 31:30this year.
- 31:31Can you kind of preview this for us?
- 31:34Uh,
- 31:35yeah,
- 31:36things are gonna be tough next year.
- 31:38We're gonna have some real,
- 31:39uh,
- 31:39problems,
- 31:40but there are also some very exciting good things that are on the horizon.
- 31:45You know,
- 31:45generally,
- 31:46uh,
- 31:46I think the way we've done this,
- 31:47I mean,
- 31:47these are different than the predictions that I've,
- 31:50you know,
- 31:50made about the caliphate.
- 31:52Those,
- 31:52those things usually come to me spiritually,
- 31:55um,
- 31:56and so I'll stand by those predictions.
- 31:58This is me,
- 31:59uh,
- 32:00looking at the world and then saying,
- 32:01OK.
- 32:02Uh,
- 32:03using your,
- 32:04your noggin and just logic,
- 32:07what do you see
- 32:08coming?
- 32:09And so,
- 32:10you know,
- 32:10last year we had,
- 32:11I think 87%
- 32:13of it was right.
- 32:15Of course,
- 32:16you know,
- 32:16I'm not going to make it easy for you to check.
- 32:18You're just going to have to take
- 32:19my word for that.
- 32:20But
- 32:23so tonight we're just going to talk about the things that are coming and,
- 32:26and China and the United States are going to get closer to.
- 32:34A decision
- 32:35of are we gonna go to war or not,
- 32:37um,
- 32:38and we,
- 32:38we start with some of the wars that are happening
- 32:41and what's gonna happen now that Donald Trump is president,
- 32:44what's gonna happen with our economy and the banking sector,
- 32:47uh,
- 32:48a lot of,
- 32:48a lot of things and also science,
- 32:51technology,
- 32:51and space.
- 32:52Should do you are are you,
- 32:53do you have anything on there about the level of concern you have of the sun.
- 32:58Uh,
- 32:58just suddenly like shutting off
- 33:01like it did right behind you moments ago.
- 33:04Uh,
- 33:04it seems like I was looking out a window and it was snowy,
- 33:07and now all of a sudden it's just pitch black.
- 33:10Like what is happening?
- 33:10Yeah,
- 33:11the sun went out up here,
- 33:12sun went out up here.
- 33:13It was really terrible,
- 33:14very bad.
- 33:16Yeah,
- 33:16I mean,
- 33:16can we not turn this stuff off until I'm off the air for the love of Pete.
- 33:22The illusion has been wrecked.
- 33:23I wish I could make myself disappear from this chair right now.
- 33:28And I'm not AI boom.
- 33:30You've requested that in multiple other interviews with me too,
- 33:33so I,
- 33:33I,
- 33:33I'm used to that.
- 33:34I just
- 33:35not be in the chair.
- 33:37Glenn Beck,
- 33:37appearance at number 1:42 here on Studios America,
- 33:41and he's got a new show coming up at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
- 33:43Stay tuned for it.
- 33:44Definition of insanity.
- 33:45It is.
- 33:46Check over
- 33:47at studiosAmerica.com.
- 33:48Get your very own Blaze TV account.
- 33:50Use the code Stu for 30 bucks off your subscription.
- 33:53Glenn,
- 33:54thank you for coming back on.
- 33:55I appreciate it.
- 33:56You got it,
- 33:57Stu.
- 33:57Thanks.
- 34:06Well,
- 34:06I know you want to trust tech companies to give you your news whenever you can,
- 34:10so get excited.
- 34:11Google is unveiling an AI powered television
- 34:14that will summarize the news for you.
- 34:17Uh,
- 34:17this is coming up at CES 2025.
- 34:19I don't see what could possibly go wrong with that.
- 34:21Uh,
- 34:21I mean.
- 34:23I will say
- 34:24this stuff is coming and you know I think a lot,
- 34:27like I,
- 34:27I've talked to some people who just,
- 34:29you know,
- 34:29are just like I'm not touching that stuff,
- 34:30I'm not going anywhere near AI.
- 34:32I've tried to experiment with it a little bit to
- 34:34try to understand what it is and what it means and
- 34:37you know I just,
- 34:37I honestly just see that like
- 34:40over time
- 34:41this is going to become
- 34:42good enough that it's going to be difficult to not use.
- 34:45You know I have a friend who was working and
- 34:47she was writing some marketing materials for her business.
- 34:51And like,
- 34:51you know,
- 34:51she would sit down normally and spend a few hours like,
- 34:54you know,
- 34:55poking away.
- 34:55She wasn't a normal writer,
- 34:56so it took a while.
- 34:58And this is just like,
- 34:59she types in the things that she wants,
- 35:00it spits out this thing that's 80% there in
- 35:0312 seconds.
- 35:04It's like I'm just,
- 35:05people are just gonna do it,
- 35:06so we better understand it,
- 35:07we better understand
- 35:08how to push back against it when it's wrong,
- 35:10uh,
- 35:11and really keep monitoring it because it is.
- 35:13It's,
- 35:14it's going to be a shocking new world.
- 35:16Speaking of AI
- 35:17chat GBT
- 35:19at use and
- 35:21sometimes you're like,
- 35:21well,
- 35:21I wonder if some of this news story was written by
- 35:24chat GPT.
- 35:25It kind of seems like maybe it was.
- 35:27What if the news story was inspired by chat GPT?
- 35:30Well,
- 35:30we have that story now.
- 35:31The man who exploded a Tesla cyber truck outside of the Trump Hotel
- 35:34in Vegas
- 35:35used generative AI.
- 35:38Police say
- 35:39how
- 35:40they say,
- 35:41by the way,
- 35:41this is the first incident they are aware of where this was used on US soil
- 35:45to build a particular device.
- 35:48He basically went on open AI and tried to figure out stuff like
- 35:51the speed at which certain rounds of ammunition would travel,
- 35:54whether fireworks were legal in Arizona,
- 35:58information on explosive targets.
- 36:00Chat GPT says they are committed.
- 36:03To seeing its tools used responsibly.
- 36:05Well,
- 36:05that's good.
- 36:06So we're all set on that one.
- 36:07But
- 36:07in this case,
- 36:08Chat GBT responded with information already publicly available on the internet
- 36:12and provided warnings against harmful or illegal activities.
- 36:14We're working with law enforcement.
- 36:15I mean that's true.
- 36:16At some level there's only so much they can do.
- 36:18They're taking information.
- 36:19From the internet,
- 36:20and I don't know if,
- 36:21if you've never used chat GPT,
- 36:23it is like
- 36:2484%
- 36:25disclaimers.
- 36:27It's like,
- 36:27don't,
- 36:27don't,
- 36:28this,
- 36:28this means this,
- 36:28and here's a bunch of disclaimers,
- 36:29and now here's the little bit of information you were looking for,
- 36:31and here's 19 more disclaimers.
- 36:33Now,
- 36:33people who know how to use this can get rid of that stuff,
- 36:35but
- 36:36my,
- 36:36my point is,
- 36:37they have built that into the software.
- 36:39They,
- 36:39that's they're out,
- 36:40right?
- 36:41We said don't use this to be,
- 36:42to do illegal stuff.
- 36:44Here's the address of that person you want to murder,
- 36:46don't use it to murder them.
- 36:47You know it's a lot of that type of stuff,
- 36:48and we'll see how that plays out later on.
- 36:50Elon Musk,
- 36:51of course,
- 36:51he's got a new AI Grok 2 is coming out soon,
- 36:54so that's around the corner.
- 36:56Also,
- 36:57we're seeing
- 37:00now Facebook,
- 37:00we talked about that at length yesterday,
- 37:03and they are moving their
- 37:05operations as far as moderation goes,
- 37:07content moderation from California to Texas now.
- 37:11A lot of people are doing it.
- 37:12Lots of staffers are moving to
- 37:14what they call billionaire friendly Texas,
- 37:16which.
- 37:17Again,
- 37:18it's friendly to everybody here in Texas.
- 37:20That's the great thing about being in Texas.
- 37:21They don't vilify you for the things you accomplish.
- 37:24If you happen to be a billionaire,
- 37:25yeah,
- 37:25it's good for you.
- 37:26If you happen to be a normal person,
- 37:27also good for you.
- 37:28That's why
- 37:29we talked about that U-Haul map yesterday,
- 37:31where are people are moving from,
- 37:32where are people moving to,
- 37:34uh,
- 37:34the number 1 place they're moving from
- 37:37was California.
- 37:38The number 2 place
- 37:39they're moving to
- 37:41is Texas.
- 37:42What's number 1?
- 37:44You just said Florida,
- 37:45didn't you?
- 37:45No,
- 37:45it's uh South Carolina,
- 37:47in case you were wondering.
- 37:48Florida was 4th on that list.
- 37:49And I gotta say,
- 37:50you know,
- 37:50I love Rhonda Santos,
- 37:51I love Florida.
- 37:52I was there over the holiday,
- 37:54a little bit.
- 37:55It's a great place to be.
- 37:56Got lots of friends who live there.
- 37:58Can we,
- 37:58can we give Texas a little bit of its due though?
- 38:00Uh,
- 38:00it's pretty freaking great here as well.
- 38:02Although today,
- 38:03a little too cold.
- 38:03That's one thing I will complain about.
- 38:05Uh,
- 38:05McDonald's is backing away from its DEI programs amid shifting legal landscape.
- 38:10This is interesting.
- 38:11because this is less about,
- 38:13hey,
- 38:13you know,
- 38:14we think
- 38:15DEI is wrong or hey,
- 38:17we see Donald Trump coming in and we're scared of him.
- 38:20It's more of like,
- 38:20hey,
- 38:21we read that Supreme Court ruling and we're not sure how this affects us.
- 38:24They say following the Supreme Court ruling
- 38:26in Students for Fair Admissions versus Harvard,
- 38:29we also assessed the shifting legal landscape into Anticipate
- 38:33how this ruling may impact corporations such as McDonald's.
- 38:36So we benchmarked our approach to other companies
- 38:38who are also reevaluating their own programs.
- 38:41They are going to eliminate aspirational representation goals,
- 38:45axing its supply chain pledge.
- 38:48They are embedding inclusion practices to grow
- 38:51our business into our everyday process operations.
- 38:53That one is weird because
- 38:55Embed inclusion process kind of seems like they're just going around
- 38:58what they were doing before,
- 38:59but
- 39:00they also say they would pause participation in external surveys to focus
- 39:04on the work we are doing internally to grow the business.
- 39:06This is a great one,
- 39:07by the way.
- 39:07This is a legitimately,
- 39:09it sounds stupid.
- 39:10They're pausing surveys.
- 39:11It's a really,
- 39:12really important part of this because
- 39:14What happens is the LGBTQ Human Rights Foundation
- 39:19comes to them and says,
- 39:20Hey,
- 39:21fill out this survey about how much you like
- 39:22LGBTQ people and what you're doing for them.
- 39:25And so they are like,
- 39:25Crap,
- 39:26if we're going to fill out this survey,
- 39:27we have to do all these things to check these boxes
- 39:30before they find out we're not doing them.
- 39:32So
- 39:33and then like these companies or these
- 39:35organizations are basically running the companies,
- 39:37right?
- 39:38Just dropping out of that process is really,
- 39:40really important.
- 39:41And finally,
- 39:42The Washington Post is laying off roughly
- 39:45100 staffers,
- 39:46as,
- 39:47as they say,
- 39:48as CNN says,
- 39:49as star journalists exit.
- 39:53OK,
- 39:53so 100 staffers going away,
- 39:54but star journalists
- 39:56are exiting.
- 39:57Who are the star journalists,
- 39:58ready for the names?
- 39:59This is,
- 40:00this is,
- 40:00it's gonna be like Beyonce
- 40:02and Madonna,
- 40:03and,
- 40:04uh,
- 40:04you know,
- 40:05uh,
- 40:06all the most,
- 40:06Taylor Swift,
- 40:07the most famous people in the world,
- 40:08you're gonna know these names,
- 40:09right?
- 40:09Here are the star journalists that are exiting.
- 40:11Mattea Gold,
- 40:13Ashley Parker.
- 40:15Fred McCostraf.
- 40:18Michael Shearer.
- 40:20Tyler Pager.
- 40:22Aaron Perlman.
- 40:25Josh
- 40:26Dorsey.
- 40:28Leanne Caldwell.
- 40:30And Telnaus.
- 40:33And Scott Ottman.
- 40:38Would you recognize any of those names?
- 40:40Maybe Mattea Gold because she was the managing editor.
- 40:43Maybe you'd recognize that one.
- 40:44Any of the other ones?
- 40:46How about this?
- 40:46Not only do I know you didn't recognize all those names,
- 40:49I know because 3 of them I just made up.
- 40:523 of those names are completely fake,
- 40:54and I'm not even going to tell you
- 40:55which ones they are.
- 40:56Back in a second.
- 41:08Alright,
- 41:08think about the Trump term for a second here,
- 41:09the 2nd term.
- 41:11It seems like he's got 4 years to do what he needs to do,
- 41:13right?
- 41:13But not really,
- 41:14because
- 41:14the 2nd 2 years are going to be after the congressional elections.
- 41:18Who knows how that goes,
- 41:19right?
- 41:19It could be bad for Republicans.
- 41:21You might not be able to pass anything in those last 2 years.
- 41:23Then the previous year,
- 41:24which is the 2nd year of the Trump,
- 41:27uh,
- 41:27Trump administration here,
- 41:29is going to be a lot of campaigning,
- 41:31and people in those purple districts might not want to take chances.
- 41:35So you've got to pack everything into this first year.
- 41:37Well,
- 41:38what do you do in that first year if you're Democrats?
- 41:40You delay these nominations and these approvals as long as possible.
- 41:44Draw that process out,
- 41:46because that shrinks the window where you can get something done.
- 41:48They're doing that now with Tulsi Gabbard,
- 41:50uh,
- 41:50Scooper Maxios,
- 41:51Senate Dems delay Tulsi Gabbard
- 41:53nomination.
- 41:54They're going to do this as much as they can.
- 41:56So that's part one to understand about this story.
- 41:58The second part to understand about it
- 42:00is it's interesting what the Democrats are doing here.
- 42:02They should be thrilled with Tulsi Gabbard.
- 42:04I mean,
- 42:04Tulsi Gabbard again
- 42:05was running for
- 42:07the president of the United States as a Democrat.
- 42:08She was leading a campaign
- 42:10for Bernie Sanders not that long ago,
- 42:13and while she has changed on a lot of things,
- 42:16she hasn't changed on stuff like intelligence
- 42:19and war
- 42:21and and those types of things,
- 42:22which might be frustrating.
- 42:24To maybe
- 42:25traditional conservatives,
- 42:27she hasn't really come toward the conservative line on any of those things.
- 42:30She's just as Bernie Sanders as she was back in the day.
- 42:33You'd think they'd like that.
- 42:35You'd think a lot of Democrats would vote for an RFK Jr.
- 42:38with the same sort of argument.
- 42:39We will see if that happens,
- 42:40but as of right now they're trying to delay it.
- 42:43We'll watch closely.
- 42:51OK,
- 42:52so here's what happened.
- 42:53A small Italian village,
- 42:56uh,
- 42:57called Bel Castro
- 42:58had about 1200,
- 42:591200 residents,
- 43:00and about half of them are over the age of 65.
- 43:04And of course,
- 43:05you know,
- 43:05health problems tend to pop up in that general age vicinity.
- 43:10And the problem was they have an ER,
- 43:12but the ER is 28 miles away
- 43:15and only reachable by a road with an 18 mile an hour speed limit.
