• 2:00
Kara: Julie. I am so excited to have this conversation with you. Thank you so much for coming on Soul Elevation
• 3:00
I, and all of those, I, I believe we all have access in different ways. For me, growing up very, very, very sensitive, um, to energy, to lighting, to people. Um, I had a really deep sense of my dad's sadness. He didn't show it at all with me, but as a, as a Vietnam veteran with PTSD, undiagnosed, and a lot of other undiagnosed things going on, I, I could read and feel and sense his thoughts that were later confirmed.
• 4:00
I- that was always there, and I think a good portion of life was sort of, you know, I stuffed down those emotions. I did not know how to... I w- I was never taught really how to move through the whole range, right? We've got the whole range of emotions, like on the Hawkins scale, and so a lot of my intuitive gifts I think were tamper, were, were tamped down, were not as, um, I wasn't able to access them for a while, and, or I wasn't i- I wasn't in tune and paying attention.
• 5:00
I actually was... It was a pretty big breakdown. Um, I was married very young and had struggled with addiction, especially around food And binging, um, alcohol would be, like, second place. But certainly anything to do with, with eating and, and just numbing. That's what I did. And I had a moment, this was in 2003, where I literally was...
• 6:00
I didn't have a smartphone, nothing. And I had the printout of meetings, and it was that day, that time, and that street. I happened to be down in the DC area. Yeah. And that... I mean, this is the beginning of it, and I just remember I did not wanna go, and I just heard, "If you go, your whole life is gonna change."
• 7:00
Um, but it ended up being in that moment when I had this wake-up in the middle of the night, um, 3:33 literally. Thought I was dying of a heart attack. It was a panic attack. I'd never had that before, and that's when I started getting visions, hearing, knowing, like, you, you, you need to... Like, there's something, there's another timeline and chapter, and that led to going back to school.
• 8:00
I really live and create my life and design it based on my, you know, my lifeline with my higher self. That's how I do it
• 9:00
talks about, like, from, you know, the, the very roots of what your life was, everything, career, family, health, of that was, did a 180. Um, so you would be the perfect person to talk about manifestation. Manifestation is so empowering in creating the life that we want, but sometimes people don't get the results that they're intending. So you help people to understand the piece that's missing. What can you share about that?
• 10:00
The reason I'm bringing this up is because what I've seen and what I know to be true is, you know, where we are manifesting from is not coming from our analytical mind It's not coming... It doesn't mean it's not gonna be used. There's a great Einstein quote that our intuitive mind is the sacred gift, and the analytical mind is the faithful servant, and our society has it upside down and backwards.
• 11:00
I think of it as a love intelligence. And the body and who we are, there, there's, you know, we all have different electromagnetic, um, input, output, and we- we're energy in physical form. And so the best place to really come from when you're manifesting, I believe, is from the heart. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean...
• 12:00
Um, and like, I'm, you know, I'm here, you're there, at least from what seems to be the case. Um, and so manifesting, you know, we're doing it, it's just are we doing it consciously and with Intention. And the fastest way I've seen personally and with many people I've worked with to manifest where you... A vision, a dream, a goal, is get your heart involved.
• 13:00
It just will, and we don't have to know how. So there's like a, a compound interest when you're really manifesting, I should say, what you feel a desire, a deep, um, intention to. Those are a few thoughts, and I can go into it in more depth, but yeah, those... that's a good place to start.
• 14:00
A lot of people who love art, who maybe love to create art, think of it as a hobby. they think like, "Oh, okay, well, that's what I do when I have some spare time." But if it's really lighting you up, like the two people I'm thinking of, they do spiritual art. So they connect, both of them in their own way, in two different ways, but they, know, each of them connects with somebody's soul from a spirit perspective, and then they create based on the person they're connecting with. that is a huge service, that helps the person, like, not only are you... Like you're saying, I love that the universe, um, uh, the compound interest. You know, where it's like you're, you're following your bliss, but not only are you getting that fulfillment, but then you are igniting joy and even, you know, a high vibration, even, uh, soul connection for somebody else, which is, I think, you know, the highest service that we can do for each other.
• 15:00
Julie Reisler: Yeah, and I love that example. It's so interesting. That's been a realization for me. I was just literally talking to a dear friend how I used to draw for hours and hours and hours. I have a, an art side as well and a little bit of a background, and I was saying to her, "I'm feeling this, like, next chapter is calling in the mystical and spiritual with creativity and artistry in it."
• 16:00
It's really what's happening. It's, it's, it's taking it from one form to another. Well, I would add an important component to, to manifesting is also really some of the things that can get in our way, which is really getting the whole receiving worthiness piece. I think a lot of people get stuck in, "Do I..." I mean, it's in- It's funny 'cause I'm, I'm getting this as I'm talking to you, listening to this guidance.
• 17:00
So there's a little bit of, like, clearing that and making sure we all are coming from this place, whatever that means to you. The, the worthiness, eh, like, remember who you are, right? Y- y- and that's where practices like, you know, mindfulness and quiet and meditation are really important. Creative process, art, you know, connecting to your soul.
• 18:00
I have my own deck, and I use beautiful decks, um, just ones that I'm called to. And I was pulling one... I often pull them for clients, and I pulled one for a client, and at the end I heard, m- uh, you know, this guidance say, "That's for you, Julie." I kid you not, Care, I pulled that card three more times in, like, a day and a half, and the, the card was, it's one of my favorites, the Sacred Rebels by Alana Fairchild, I love her, and it was, um, Faith in the Process.
• 19:00
Kara: That's so fascinating. So when you say letting go, do you feel like, is that more in the context of like you're saying the, the faith, the trust? Like, "Okay, this will happen because I am worthy. We're all worthy, so I'm not gonna try to get my analytical mind in this and trying to force this to happen." Or do you just mean like forget about it, and like, okay, you put it out there, but now just forget, keep moving on, don't... You know, is it something in between those two
• 20:00
You can just imagine, there's a lot of universities over there, many, many from the big, the big well-known ones. Like, it was, like, a, a really important, uh, trait to be smart and to be intellectual. So I learned early on, make sure whatever you're doing is smart. It was a really... I- it was, like, ingrained in the, the, the, the water around me that I was swimming in.
• 21:00
I'm sure this card was like, "Hey, Julie, stop trying to plan it out and figure it out." So there's a, like, okay, I... it's not up to me. There's gonna be, for my highest good, whatever that is, and there's a bit of I'm letting it go, and I'm also gonna detach from the outcome. Now, when I'm inspired, this is why intuition is so important, when I get the nudge to do something, then I will, and I'll follow it.
• 22:00
There's an aspect of I'm open, I'm receiving, I'm grateful. But also, what is happening? You're not clenching. I'm not trying to control. So for me, and I love to bring the body in, for me, it might just be, like, my hands come out, and I'm like, "Take this. This is not mine anymore." Um, so that if, if someone listening is somatic, that can be very, very helpful, um, to use.
• 23:00
Kara: Yeah. Well, and it's important what you talk about there, the, the push-pull between the acceptance, the release, the surrender, and, you know, we also here are in the body, to your point. And so when we do get the signal, like, okay, you have been wanting to manifest this career change, and look at this seminar that is coming that's related to what you want to do. it's time to act. Like, we've put this in front of you. Now go to the seminar, and go and talk to the person that gives you butterflies in your stomach that, but also makes you nervous. But go. You, you've got to go and, and do it. Like, you're, you know ... So it's like, you know, for some people I wonder with, when it comes to manifesting, like, are the surrender is so important, and don't forget, like, you're the body here. You're, you're the one in physical form. So, like, you still have to do your part.
• 24:00
Like, a lotta times we're gonna be guided into something that's gonna push and, and, and grow us, and that was not on my list. That really was not. I wasn't thinking, "I'm gonna start it," and it's actually a pretty big thing to do, and I'm grateful. I love it, and it's like, you know, letting the divine kind of fill in the gaps, and, and this is happening all the time.
• 25:00
It does not work well versus I feel it, I sense it. I might be nervous about it, like you said. Butterflies, like, that's probably gonna happen, and that's, that... Like, so we have to, I think, using our body, something I talk about a lot and teach 'cause I've learned for myself to tap into our body. It's gonna give you a lot of information, and we know.
• 26:00
Julie Reisler: I, you know, like ever since I went through this wake-up call where, like, my whole life did a 180, I'm not even kidding. Okay, so if you s- you saw pictures then, I used to straighten my hair. It was like this whole thing. I really wanted straight hair, and then finally with this, this... I mean, this kinda makes me laugh, but it's a good example.
• 27:00
There's one of me that identifies as this human, right? So I think in terms of, um, being guided and deciding I'm, I'm gonna, I'm gonna run my life rather on my will. I'm gonna do my best to turn it over to a higher will. And I've done a lot, a lot. I still do daily inner, inner work, personal growth. I mean, a lot of different avenues, programs.
• 28:00
I kept talking. I'd forgotten that that... It just came up in conversation. Um, and she was like, "Hold on, hold on, hold on, Julie. That, that's it." By the way, I've not finished this book at all. However, she's like, "You need to go, like, do something with that ASAP. That is-- That's your, y- you know, your call to action to the world."
• 29:00
Like, I stand behind. I just believe.
• 30:00
Kara: That's so beautiful. You know, you were talking about how you actually heard Divine by Design, and it makes me really wanna know more about the clairgifts that did open up for you that we began talking about at the beginning. Um, what, what gifts have you tapped into, and did they all come in at once with this kind of shift that happened in your life?
• 31:00
Julie Reisler: Yeah, I got chills too. I, I, I couldn't... I, I still can't. You know, it didn't turn out that way, and that's okay. I really think absolutely we were supposed to have them, and it- it's a- it's all, it's all, it's all divine by design. And so the vision, the visual, the clairvoyant piece, that has been there.
• 32:00
Um, a- and I just knew immediately. And I remember my husband at the time was like, "I think you're okay," like, "I think you're fine." And I was like, "No, I know for sure." My body said it. I heard it. And then when I did go for an ultrasound they're like, "Oh, this stopped three weeks ago." And I'm like, "Yep, I know exactly when."
• 33:00
A lot of times there'll be a knowing or a bodily reaction, a knowing, and then I'll hear it. Um, often with the visual it's clear. It's just I see it, and I don't necessarily hear anything. I, um... Oh, my gosh, there are just... I'm like, which example? I have a lot of different stories that are just, I like to say, mind-glowing, so we don't blow our mind.
• 34:00
Kara: Okay. And then can you tune into it, like when you have a question? So let's say you're working with a client and you feel like you need some guidance with their problem, and so you're, you can, like, access it or
• 35:00
It's funny, I don't even have this on my website. I don't mention this part, and I think it's been something that I've, you know, slowly been more comfortable with. Um, I have training and some of it is not through training, and I think my left brain has been like, "But you didn't get a master's degree. You didn't get..."
• 36:00
side brain, it's very easy, very easy to hear, to sense, to all of it. It's when I am trying, and I'm, I'm saying this, and now see I'm hearing to say this because many of us do this and m- and we can all... I really believe this idea of channeling, what are we doing? We're dialing up, you know, your, your soul self, your higher self.
• 37:00
Um, and I just, I really in the, my heart of hearts believe ev- it's why I'm obsessed with it. We all can do that and tap in. It does take, like any relationship, it takes time and attention. Um, but there's, there's nothing special that I have. It, it is there though, and when I'm working with people or, for example, now or any time I'm asked a question or if I had to kinda connect in, it's very easy to hear it, feel it, sense it, and sometimes see it, and I, um, I'm grateful.
• 38:00
Like, and then I said, "And, and I would even go further and say you're creating spiritual pathways." So you're opening up pathways to your soul, to your spirit, whatever it might be. I was typing that as I was... Like, it just kinda came. Like, I've never spoken that way, and I don't remember really even coming across that, like spiritual pathways. I was like, I would go so far as to say that." And then I started typing, like, "I never really even thought about that before," but it just was something that popped in. Because then I'm also thinking, like, "Where have I heard that before?" Or where... Like, "Can I verify this? Is there some kind of somebody I can reference that said this so that I can validate it?"
• 39:00
You know, and, and all of this. And I'm like, "No, I don't think I've heard this before." And I'm like, and also, like, why do I feel that I'm gonna, like, make it more valid if I can prove that somebody else said it, you know? It's like, no, that makes sense. Like, that completely makes sense. And so I just sort of owned it in terms of, like- I don't know that we have proof of this but this really seems to be my experience, and I think a lot of you have experienced this too, and maybe we've just not thought about it like that. But it was really funny because I don't, Because I relate so much to what you're saying, and in my example, didn't necessarily hear it. And kind of what you're saying in terms of, like, we may not feel that there's somebody delivering this information to us, and there is this like, I really like that." And then, so did I think that by myself? Like, if I, if I am like, "Ooh, that sounds great," you know, that's really good, you know, but then was it an organic thought of mine or did it Was it delivered to me somehow? You know, and but it's this you're just kind of in the flow. And so it's really fascinating how you're saying that and then also just, you know, this is for everybody and it doesn't have to be like y- you're
• 40:00
You know, and, and all of this. And I'm like, "No, I don't think I've heard this before." • 41:00
I have thoughts on that. So first of all, just a sense for you, I got that is it could be a book, it could be a course, it could be... There's something with the spiritual pathways. Um, it lit up. It, it, it felt like it was in, like, bubble gold letters, and this is what will happen often with th- with ideas. They just kind of, like, whoo.
• 42:00
You know, how does this wanna bless others? These are great just overall questions that can help. And as you were saying that, so I, I started to see that and I'm like, "Okay, this is interesting," like realtime. You know, I think this question of, like, where is it coming from, it, it's almost the way I feel it and see it is every...
• 43:00
So if I'm in this, "I'm just so curious about this, like, mystical artwork I wanna do." I actually am not sure what it is. I have a sense. And then maybe I write something out and all of a sudden it glows like yours did, right? And I'm like, "Oh." This kind of what happened with Divine by Design, so spiritual pathway.
• 44:00
Is it..." And it's easier personally for me to just say, "How does it feel?" And I can feel now when it feels really loving and high, there's a high vibration. It just feels like light, the highest light, the creator, the, you know, higher self. Like, it's, it feels in that family. So for me, I don't love labeling because it starts to make it...
• 45:00
Kara: I love it. And you've basically answered another question that I wanted to ask, which was you, you help people to use their intuition as a practical everyday tool, and we've just seen it in real time. But I wonder if you, because that is, well, you've just shown us how you help people to do that. is there any other advice that floats up in terms of, um, how people can use their intuition in like an everyday way?
• 46:00
And often we are taught, you know, to follow these rules and these laws and these things. I'm not saying they're not right. However, it's kind of like a diet. I know a lot about food. I don't really follow a diet. I try to follow what my body needs, and I have a sense of what that is. But every body physical needs is different.
• 47:00
So I can now, you know, pick up this drink and I'm like, "Yep." I, I mean, I can feel myself lean in, and I can pick something else up and be like, "No. I'm sad. I would like to eat it, but no." And that's just a small example. I am very pro tapping into your inner wisdom and guidance. I think it builds agency, sovereignty, and it helps for each of us to make decisions that are ultimately gonna be the best, the highest for not just you, but everyone around you.
• 48:00
Julie Reisler: I cannot stop. I've been thinking about that nonstop. When I get that, I was like, "That is really everything." And so we are saying, yes, you are gonna be developing and dancing with the unknown, and that can bring up a lot. And the more you can develop your courage muscle here, it's going to help you.
• 49:00
It doesn't mean it's easy, it doesn't mean you're gonna always have a positive everything, but I do believe intuition by default, you know, what is... Source is all-loving, so what is intuition? It comes from that all-loving space, and it's just worth it to invest time and energy into, into using it and practicing
• 50:00
Kara: that's so funny. know, as you have talked about all of the, um, the oneness, that's been a big theme throughout our conversation, how we are all connected, we are all one, and you have been helping people for many years now, so you have a lot of experience with this. wonder if there i- are particular patterns or themes that show up with clients, and if those kind of change with time, because I imagine, you know, especially with how tuned in you are with how they're-- You're not only helping them, but they're also communicating things that you need to hear at any given time, too.
• 51:00
Julie Reisler: I think, and it's probably why I've mentioned this a few times, I think the overthinking and self-doubt is a big one. Um, people pleasing, overcoming that. Um, these are, uh, you know, patterns of overthinking means you get a sense, a feeling, a nudge, intuition, and then it goes through the left brain cycle of like, "Oh, no, no, it doesn't make sen- I don't know if I can do..."
• 52:00
That's the throat chakra, right? I did not speak up for many years in my previous relationship. N-no blame to him, I just chose most of the time, like, "No, I wanna be liked." What- whatever the different reasons. And I think it's funny, now it's like I can't get enough of sharing and speaking, and it always feels like I, I must do that because I don't want anyone to go through what I went through and not realize the power that's in them.
• 53:00
I see it ahead of time. Just happened with somebody and I'm like, "You know, she just is stepping into a major ro- next version of herself." And feeling like your nervous system, feeling safe to do that. Safety, big one. Big one. So feeling safe to be seen more, to speak more. I think that's a huge one for women, for many women.
• 54:00
And I was like, "I know. I saw it. I know. I know." Not like, "Yay, go me." It's more like, "No, I'm here to like hold this up for you. This is happening." Um, and I believe this is possible for everybody, whatever their, whatever their thing is
• 55:00
Woke up 2000... I think early '17. No, '16, and I was meeting some amazing human beings, and I heard, "You need to, you need to interview them now. You need to start a podcast." Um, so this is a while back. This is almost nine years ago. Um, and that has just really I... That has been intuitively led. I am typically... I, I, I don't know what to say other than lot of manifestation there that's just been, "I have to communicate with this person.
• 56:00
That's really where my heart is moving, so we'll see. I, um, actually have a conversation today with someone that I would start that with. And, you know, I think, um, it's like just trusting if you're getting some sort of nudge or light, like lighting up or like what you had with when you saw the spiritual pathway, we...
• 57:00
Um, I love human beings. I love connecting, and, um, if something, you know, if there's a question or you just wanna share or connect, like I love, I love hearing from people, so f- feel free to reach out. Yeah.
