Speaker 5: Plant is the director some award winning shows and she
• 2:35
Speaker 5: joins us this morning. Mariah, good morning, Welcome to the show.
• 2:39
Speaker 6: Hi Dave, thank you for having me, Thank.
• 2:41
Speaker 5: You for being here. There's always great things going on
• 2:44
Speaker 5: at the Alban. But I understand you folks recently picked
• 2:48
Speaker 5: up some hardware for production there.
• 2:49
Speaker 2: Tell us about it.
• 2:51
Speaker 6: Oh my gosh. Yeah. We finally were able to install
• 2:54
Speaker 6: the trust at our Academy building in St. Albans, which
• 2:58
Speaker 6: is the enormous metal rig that we hang all of
• 3:02
Speaker 6: the lighting equipment from, and we've had a grant out
• 3:04
Speaker 6: for about two years now trying to get everything organized
• 3:07
Speaker 6: to really turn that space from a former church which
• 3:11
Speaker 6: we are so grateful to have and we can make
• 3:13
Speaker 6: a play anywhere out of anything into a real working
• 3:16
Speaker 6: theater that is going to bring audiences from all around
• 3:20
Speaker 6: and really make it feel like a legit place of creation.
• 3:25
Speaker 5: Let's talk about this award that you folks want for
• 3:28
Speaker 5: one of your productions there at the album.
• 3:31
Speaker 6: Yeah, Oh my gosh. So my teen Intensive Company, which
• 3:35
Speaker 6: is a group of my advanced students that I put
• 3:38
Speaker 6: together last summer. It's crazy to think almost a year
• 3:42
Speaker 6: ago now, we were just starting to think about this. Really.
• 3:45
Speaker 6: We all had a gap in our schedule and we
• 3:47
Speaker 6: decided to come together and make a play. The Miraculous
• 3:51
Speaker 6: Journey of Edward Tulane is a really charming children's story
• 3:54
Speaker 6: about a China rabbit who learns the meaning of love
• 3:57
Speaker 6: and friendship and we follow him through his maracus journey
• 4:00
Speaker 6: through love and life. And we started out just sort
• 4:04
Speaker 6: of making this as a gift to present our community
• 4:07
Speaker 6: with to have some summer programming both in Charleston and St.
• 4:11
Speaker 6: Albans and Beckley. We ended up taking that production to
• 4:15
Speaker 6: the West Virginia Theater Association, Community Theater Festival and Buckian
• 4:18
Speaker 6: and last November and they were award with Outstanding Props, Design,
• 4:23
Speaker 6: Outstanding ensemble acting and outstanding production design overall. So that
• 4:29
Speaker 6: was really exciting, and they got the opportunity because of
• 4:31
Speaker 6: that to move on to the regional festival SETC, which
• 4:34
Speaker 6: is the Southeastern Theater Conference, the largest gathering and network
• 4:39
Speaker 6: of theater practitioners in the United States, and that was
• 4:42
Speaker 6: really truly once in a lifetime opportunity for these kids
• 4:45
Speaker 6: to go and not only showcase their work, but get
• 4:47
Speaker 6: to witness so many incredible works of theater from across
• 4:51
Speaker 6: the country. And they came away from that competition with
• 4:54
Speaker 6: outstanding props design and outstanding ensemble acting as well.
• 4:57
Speaker 5: And that's pretty good stuff. I mean, you know, no
• 5:01
Speaker 5: pun intended, but it's kind of cool to be recognized
• 5:03
Speaker 5: on the national, the regional and national stage. I would imagine, Oh.
• 5:07
Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, we none of us do this business
• 5:11
Speaker 6: for the money to get rich. We do it for
• 5:13
Speaker 6: the love of the craft and for our community and
• 5:15
Speaker 6: for the kids. And then every once in a while
• 5:17
Speaker 6: when somebody notices it's a really nice little feather in
• 5:20
  Speaker 6: your cap.
• 5:21
Speaker 5: Talking with Mariah Plant again, The Dave Allan Showing five

Speaker 5: dirty Birds Baseball dot com. Ran tell us about you.
• 5:54
Speaker 5: What was it that get you into all this in general?
• 5:58
Speaker 6: Well, I'd like to think I'm a part of of
• 6:00
Speaker 6: a beautiful cycle of community theater and community art making
• 6:04
Speaker 6: in Charleston. I came up doing children's theater with c
• 6:09
Speaker 6: c ioc uh CIA c RATHER and the Charleston Lan
• 6:13
Speaker 6: Opera Guild and lots of different community theater groups, and
• 6:16
Speaker 6: it was really where I found out that if I
• 6:19
Speaker 6: use my voice effectively, I can communicate my ideas and
• 6:22
Speaker 6: make people feel things. And when that light bulb goes
• 6:24
Speaker 6: off for a teenager, they're off to the races and
• 6:27
Speaker 6: getting to sort of uncover that for the next generation
• 6:31
Speaker 6: of kids in West Virginia is you know, it's unparalleled.
• 6:35
Speaker 6: There's no better feeling in the world. So I like
• 6:37
Speaker 6: to give back in whatever way I can and make
• 6:40
Speaker 6: sure that cycle continues.
• 6:42
Speaker 5: What's on the horizon for for you, for you and
• 6:45
Speaker 5: and the folks there were, and what's what's coming up?
• 6:48
Speaker 6: Well, I have the privilege of working at theaters all
• 6:51
Speaker 6: across the great state of West Virginia. The All and And,
• 6:54
Speaker 6: of course, is one of my favorite places in the world.
• 6:56
Speaker 6: They currently have a fabulous production of Sister at which
• 7:00
Speaker 6: you can catch this weekend Friday and Saturday evening and
• 7:04
Speaker 6: Sunday afternoon at the Alburn Arts Center. They also have
• 7:07
Speaker 6: academy classes for kids of all ages. I'll be auditioning
• 7:10
Speaker 6: a show tut Everlasting, which will be auditioning the last
• 7:14
Speaker 6: weekend of April, and you can catch that later on
• 7:17
Speaker 6: this summer. I'm also doing theater classes out in Beckley
• 7:21
Speaker 6: at Theater West Virginia, which is just starting to produce
• 7:24
Speaker 6: its summer season of Hatfields and McCoy's Honey and The
• 7:27
Speaker 6: Rock into the Woods. And then I'll be directing Susicle
• 7:30
Speaker 6: Junior out there at Grandview National Parks later this summer
• 7:33
  Speaker 6: as well.
• 7:33
Speaker 5: Right, I have to tell you I am a big
• 7:35
Speaker 5: fan of the Alban. I mean not just for their
• 7:39
Speaker 5: theatrical productions, but really how important it is for the
• 7:43
Speaker 5: Saint Alban's community and really the entire Canall valley. Adam
• 7:46
Speaker 5: Bryant and the folks there are the top notch people
• 7:48
Speaker 5: and they do a lot of great things there.
• 7:51
Speaker 6: Adam Brian is one of my favorite people in the world.
• 7:53
Speaker 6: Our community is so lucky to have him, and he really,
• 7:57
Speaker 6: he and everybody at the Alban really goes above and
• 8:00
Speaker 6: beyond to create opportunities, an event to bring us all
• 8:04
Speaker 6: out of our houses and together and making and creating things.
• 8:07
Speaker 6: And I'm really lucky to be a part of it.
• 8:09
Speaker 5: I mean, you know, as I said, when you think
• 8:11
Speaker 5: about all the different things that go on there as
• 8:13
Speaker 5: part of the part of the community. During COVID, I know,
• 8:17
Speaker 5: America's got talent. Winder Landau Eugene Murphy Junior, friend of
• 8:20
Speaker 5: the Show here, did his closed Circuit, if you will,
• 8:24
Speaker 5: his pay per view concerts there because it is such
• 8:27
Speaker 5: a great theater and it's just a perfect size for
• 8:29
Speaker 5: things like that too.
• 8:31
Speaker 6: Yes, any event that you want to consider having at
• 8:35
Speaker 6: the Allvan. We do birthday parties, weddings, film screenings, community events, meetings, conferences.
• 8:42
Speaker 6: It's really a great space for bringing people together. And
• 8:45
Speaker 6: I know we'd love to talk to anybody who'd like
• 8:48
Speaker 6: to come and get involved in any capacity. We're always
• 8:50
Speaker 6: looking for volunteers, for actors, for technicians. Please come and
• 8:54
Speaker 6: learn more about us. We'd love to have you.
• 8:56
Speaker 5: I mean, I was even there when they did the
• 8:59
Speaker 5: fall Y'all Chili cook Off. It served as the as
• 9:02
Speaker 5: the judging area for the chili Cookoff. We even used
• 9:05
Speaker 5: it for that last year.
• 9:08
Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I mean, we have our fingers in just
• 9:11
Speaker 6: about every pie in the valley. If there's a community event,
• 9:14
Speaker 6: you can pretty much guarantee that the Alban is a
• 9:17
Speaker 6: part of it or would like to be.
• 9:19
  Speaker 7: So.
• 9:19
Speaker 6: I think we need more of that spirit in southern
• 9:23
Speaker 6: West Virginia, in the valley. We need more collaboration, more
• 9:26
Speaker 6: people coming together and seeing what can I do to help.
• 9:29
Speaker 5: Well, Mauran, it's been a pleasure to have you on
• 9:30
Speaker 5: the show, and don't let this be the last time
• 9:33
Speaker 5: that you're on the show. And congratulations again for all
• 9:36
Speaker 5: the good things that are going on, and again your
• 9:38
Speaker 5: production is getting some regional and national attention, so we
• 9:42
Speaker 5: appreciate you taking time on the schedule to be here.
• 9:44
Speaker 7: Thanks a lot, Thanks for shining a light on us.
• 9:47
Speaker 5: Dave, take care absolutely nine seventeen. Yeah, the alban is
• 9:52
Speaker 5: really a fantastic facility if you've never had an opportunity
• 9:55
Speaker 5: to tend a production there, or like I said, I
• 9:58
Speaker 5: have concerts there. It's Adam and those folks and Mariah
• 10:01
Speaker 5: just they do a fantastic job with the album. So
• 10:03
  Speaker 5: it's a it's a it's definitely one of the uh,
• 10:06
Speaker 5: one of the best things going in my opinion in

Speaker 5: I mentioned early among them, I'm not sure what good
• 15:46
Speaker 5: it will do, but look, you know, it's democracy and
• 15:50
  Speaker 5: it's free speech. I did find it. I don't know
• 15:55
Speaker 5: somewhat troubling that many online over the weekend said that
• 16:01
Speaker 5: the protesters, specifically in Charleston were bust in and that
• 16:08
Speaker 5: many of the protesters weren't even West Virginians. Now, I
• 16:12
Speaker 5: don't know if any were bust in. I wasn't part
• 16:15
Speaker 5: of it. I wasn't there. But there does seem to
• 16:19
Speaker 5: be a feeling that everyone in West Virginia supports President
• 16:26
Speaker 5: Trump and his policies. And granted, the overwhelming majority of
• 16:30
Speaker 5: West Virginias do support Donald Trump, but just for a moment,
• 16:35
Speaker 5: think it's possible not everyone does, even among Republicans and
• 16:43
Speaker 5: independence conservatives. And I wonder out loud this morning if
• 16:51
Speaker 5: that number will grow as people start having to pay
• 16:57
Speaker 5: more at the grocery store, uh for a new car,
• 17:01
Speaker 5: et cetera, et cetera. I have a feeling though, that
• 17:05
Speaker 5: they probably won't care. I mean, just being honest, many,
• 17:14
Speaker 5: many West Virginians, many not all, seem to have a
• 17:18
  Speaker 5: a a cult like admiration for Donald Trump. It's it's
• 17:23
Speaker 5: kind of it's kind of scary, really. And again I'm
• 17:25
Speaker 5: not talking about everyone. I'm not saying that everyone who
• 17:28
Speaker 5: voted for Trump views him like a god, but but
• 17:31
Speaker 5: many people do. But I'm saying, you know me, there's
• 17:35
Speaker 5: not a guy in this earth that I worship, not
• 17:38
  Speaker 5: even Donald Trump.
• 17:39
  Speaker 7: Uh.
• 17:40
Speaker 5: Anyway, Brad Michailhanny did a deep dive on some of
• 17:43
Speaker 5: the rallies, particularly the one Charlesty may want to check

Speaker 5: the first time in three months. Let me welcome to
• 18:19
Speaker 5: the show. Charles de Mayor, Amy Shulder, good.
• 18:21
Speaker 3: One, come inning, How you doing.
• 18:23
Speaker 5: I'm excellent, Thank you, thank you for being here today.
• 18:25
Speaker 3: I'm so glad to be here with you.
• 18:27
  Speaker 5: Go ahead.
• 18:28
Speaker 3: I heard you were going to have Beverly White mayor.
• 18:31
Speaker 3: Yeah from Louisbourg. Yeah, she's the best.
• 18:33
Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, that's the Mayor Monday segment that we do
• 18:36
Speaker 5: on the afternoon show. And yeah, I do have do
• 18:40
Speaker 5: have Mayor White scheduled to be on the show today. Yeah.
• 18:43
Speaker 15: I was just in Louisbourg for a meeting and walk
• 18:47
  Speaker 15: downtown Louisbourg.
• 18:49
Speaker 3: It is a beautiful city.
• 18:51
Speaker 15: It's a quaint city, so many great shops and I
• 18:55
Speaker 15: was talking to some of the business owners as they
• 18:57
Speaker 15: were getting ready for what they call their in season,
• 19:00
Speaker 15: which is coming up spring and summer or they're big,
• 19:03
Speaker 15: hot and heavy months. So I took the opportunity to
• 19:06
Speaker 15: every time I'm in a different city, I like to
• 19:08
Speaker 15: walk around and looked and see what folks are doing.
• 19:11
  Speaker 3: And it's great.
• 19:11
Speaker 5: It was Lewisburg's one of my favorite towns. I've spent
• 19:15
Speaker 5: a lot of time in Louisbourg. It's a great town.
• 19:17
Speaker 5: I was talking to the mayor last week when I
• 19:19
Speaker 5: was setting up the Mayor Monday segment for the show
• 19:22
Speaker 5: today for the afternoon show, and she, of course was
• 19:25
Speaker 5: talking about the taste of our towns that they do
• 19:28
Speaker 5: and the chocolate festival and so you know that whole
• 19:31
Speaker 5: area is a whole lot more than just the Greenbrier,
• 19:33
Speaker 5: I mean people, and that's one of the things I
• 19:35
Speaker 5: hope to bring out on the interview today. There's a
• 19:36
Speaker 5: whole lot more to it than just that.
• 19:38
Speaker 15: Yeah, I mean, you could literally stay downtown Louisbourg and
• 19:42
Speaker 15: they have so many quaint bed and breakfasts there. They
• 19:46
Speaker 15: have some great General Lewis gosh, sheiz. They just spent
• 19:50
Speaker 15: a ton of money the new owners there, great restaurants,
• 19:53
Speaker 15: great shops, great bars, just fabulous shopping, some of the
• 19:58
Speaker 15: best shopping ever. I'm not going to say that I
• 20:00
Speaker 15: spent some money down there, but I spent a little
• 20:02
Speaker 15: bit as well, a teeny bit, just a teeny bit too,
• 20:05
Speaker 15: to spur on the economy and get myself some new shoes.
• 20:08
Speaker 5: That was the holy purpose behind you doing that. Mayor
• 20:10
Speaker 5: was right to spur the economy. I mean, it wasn't
• 20:13
Speaker 5: for you. It wasn't for selfish reasons because you wanted
• 20:15
Speaker 5: to help out the economy.
• 20:16
Speaker 15: Well, I always try to be you know, I'm not
• 20:19
Speaker 15: gonna lie and not say that there isn't you know.
• 20:21
Speaker 15: I don't have an amazing relationship with my postal carrier
• 20:24
Speaker 15: and my FedEx and ups because I do first name
• 20:27
Speaker 15: basis Christmas gifts. We just we just simply do. But
• 20:30
Speaker 15: I do try to every time I'm out by something
• 20:34
Speaker 15: in local shops and of course here local shops as well,
• 20:38
Speaker 15: and focus on that because you know, I grew up
• 20:40
Speaker 15: in a small business. My parents still have their small business.
• 20:45
Speaker 15: And when I say it's the reason I got to
• 20:47
Speaker 15: play in sports and go to school and all of
• 20:50
Speaker 15: those things, it's because of small businesses. And I know
• 20:53
Speaker 15: you say it at nauseum, dave about supporting well, about
• 20:57
Speaker 15: supporting local businesses at nauseum or or no, yeah, I
• 21:01
Speaker 15: mean they're the folks who are sponsoring, you know. On
• 21:04
Speaker 15: Friday night I went up to John Adams and saw
• 21:06
Speaker 15: all of the Little League teams getting ready to kick
• 21:09
Speaker 15: off their season. I spent Saturday, part of my Saturday
• 21:12
Speaker 15: going to Bigley with the with some of our young
• 21:16
Speaker 15: softball teams. And guess what was on the front in
• 21:18
Speaker 15: the back of their jerseys. Local local business, local businesses.
• 21:22
Speaker 15: Because we're the folks who do that and support our
• 21:25
Speaker 15: community as we should, so I try to. So those
• 21:28
Speaker 15: shoes went to somebody's Little League team.
• 21:30
Speaker 5: I promise it was a sacrifice.
• 21:33
  Speaker 6: Man.
• 21:34
Speaker 5: Saturday, I had an opportunity to be at the Home
• 21:37
Speaker 5: Show coma sum of Convention Center, and it was quite
• 21:41
Speaker 5: well attended from what I understand. I mean, I was
• 21:43
Speaker 5: there Saturday afternoon in between the rain, and uh, it's
• 21:47
Speaker 5: a there was a good crowd there.
• 21:49
  Speaker 2: It was.
• 21:50
Speaker 15: It was an amazing event. Definitely an amazing event. It's it's
• 21:54
Speaker 15: one of my favorite home show. It's so inspiring and
• 21:57
Speaker 15: so neat the outdoor show, the home show. We just
• 22:01
Speaker 15: have a lot of great signature events at the Coliseum
• 22:05
Speaker 15: in Convention Center, and you know, it is our largest asset.
• 22:08
Speaker 15: I was telling Developer who I met with last week.
• 22:10
Speaker 15: It is the place in space that really returns a
• 22:13
Speaker 15: lot of our money back to us, and thus the
• 22:17
Speaker 15: reason why we invest in it. You know, Mayor Jones
• 22:21
Speaker 15: he did right by putting money into the Coliseum in
• 22:24
Speaker 15: Convention Center. He did, you know, little did he know,
• 22:27
Speaker 15: nor did I know that we were going to, you know,
• 22:29
Speaker 15: have a global pandemic and shut down you know, all
• 22:32
Speaker 15: of these large venues, but these are necessary places in
• 22:38
Speaker 15: spaces for us to invest to bring people in and
• 22:42
Speaker 15: it helps, you know, from not only just our large
• 22:45
Speaker 15: organizations and corporations, it helps our small businesses too because
• 22:47
Speaker 15: a lot of folks at the home show were also.
• 22:50
Speaker 5: Local businesses, a lot of them.
• 22:52
Speaker 15: Locally run businesses, and those are the folks that we
• 22:54
Speaker 15: certainly want to support. Saturday was crazy in the city
• 22:58
Speaker 15: of Charleston. Were just so much going.
• 23:01
Speaker 5: Well, that wasn't even the only event going on there.
• 23:03
Speaker 5: I mean at the coliseum, because there was there was
• 23:05
Speaker 5: other things going on in other areas of the condem
• 23:07
Speaker 5: That's one of the things I like about with the
• 23:09
Speaker 5: upgrades of the Condoseum and convention Center. And I always
• 23:12
Speaker 5: talk about a few months ago we had a a
• 23:16
Speaker 5: list country singer in concert, we had the Hunting and
• 23:19
Speaker 5: Fishing show going on, and we had the Red Scaravan
• 23:23
Speaker 5: all in one area.
• 23:25
Speaker 15: Yeah, one location. That again, that's why, and that's the
• 23:27
Speaker 15: reason why we're putting in new seats. You'll be happy
• 23:30
Speaker 15: to know everyone that we are putting in new seats.
• 23:32
Speaker 15: Council has approved the money that we had put up
• 23:35
Speaker 15: on the agenda. Say hey, listen, if we're going to
• 23:37
Speaker 15: continue to attract you know, events and concerts that bring
• 23:43
Speaker 15: in a high dollar not only just and by the way,
• 23:47
Speaker 15: it's not just about bringing people in.
• 23:49
  Speaker 2: You know.
• 23:49
Speaker 15: I am reminded all the time by our team members too.
• 23:51
Speaker 15: It's about quality of life and being able to provide
• 23:54
Speaker 15: things for our folks in town that were God included.
• 23:57
Speaker 15: But I, you know, you were talking about things going
• 23:59
Speaker 15: on the capital. I was on the other side of
• 24:02
Speaker 15: the capital at University at Charleston where we launched with
• 24:06
Speaker 15: President Roth Dave. We're going to be doing not just
• 24:09
  Speaker 15: a five k, not just a half marathon, but a
• 24:12
Speaker 15: marathon next year next April in the city of Charleston.
• 24:16
Speaker 15: We're partnering with the University of Charleston to do a marathon.
• 24:19
Speaker 15: So I'm not going to say start stretching and training now,
• 24:21
Speaker 15: but start if you're thinking about it, y'all start stretching
• 24:24
  Speaker 15: and training now.
• 24:25
Speaker 5: Where're the idea for this come from?
• 24:26
Speaker 15: You know, we were approached by a lot of great folks.
• 24:31
Speaker 15: Malia over at the University of Charleston, Hallie, Bob Morgan
• 24:35
Speaker 15: Stern came to us and said what do you think
• 24:37
Speaker 15: about this? And then Tim Brady from the CBB got
• 24:40
Speaker 15: involved to say, okay, you know, when you put on
• 24:43
Speaker 15: an event like that, it takes a lot of a
• 24:47
Speaker 15: lot of muscle and a lot of finances. So is
• 24:50
Speaker 15: it worth it and what do you get?
• 24:52
  Speaker 6: Well?
• 24:52
Speaker 3: I'll tell you this.
• 24:53
Speaker 15: On Saturday, when I was with President Roth, I had
• 24:56
Speaker 15: an opportunity to go beforehand see all of the runner
• 25:00
Speaker 15: that were coming in from the five k and the
• 25:02
Speaker 15: half marathon, New York, Cincinnati, Virginia.
• 25:07
Speaker 3: They're from all over.
• 25:08
Speaker 15: A great couple that I met there who said, we
• 25:12
Speaker 15: are doing They're in their fifties, late fifties, and they
• 25:15
Speaker 15: were doing a five k in every single state and
• 25:19
Speaker 15: they were also wanting to visit the capital of every state.
• 25:22
Speaker 15: So they said, this is great two for one on
• 25:24
Speaker 15: this day, and there's the capital right across the way.
• 25:28
Speaker 15: But it pulls in people from all over in their
• 25:31
Speaker 15: studies after study that show the economic return and the
• 25:34
Speaker 15: value of having marathons in your city. And by the way,
• 25:39
Speaker 15: you know, that's what we're becoming, and I like it.
• 25:42
Speaker 15: We're a sports and entertainment town. And so you know,
• 25:47
Speaker 15: on the heels of we're getting ready to have USA Cycling,
• 25:49
Speaker 15: which we can talk about here in a minute, but
• 25:52
Speaker 15: it was timely to again expand expand our portfolio to
• 25:58
Speaker 15: bring in this marathon. People travel for marathons.
• 26:00
Speaker 5: Oh yeahs. And it's not just I mean we get
• 26:04
Speaker 5: them to come here because I know, I know people,
• 26:07
Speaker 5: I'm not a runner myself. I know you find it
• 26:08
Speaker 5: hard to believe. But when I mean my friends that
• 26:12
Speaker 5: are they think nothing of going to Pittsburgh, going to
• 26:15
Speaker 5: Columbus Charlotte. You know Lexington.
• 26:16
Speaker 15: My niece just went to Florida. My sister and her
• 26:19
Speaker 15: husband took my niece down to Florida to watch her
• 26:21
Speaker 15: run in a marathon.
• 26:23
Speaker 5: Older adults should protect themselves against severe respiratory disease. Talk
• 26:27
Speaker 5: to your doctor about flu, COVID nineteen and RSV vaccines, riskless,
• 26:30
Speaker 5: do more. It started at vaccines dot Go, paid for
• 26:33
Speaker 5: by the US Department of Health and Human Services, Charleston
• 26:35
Speaker 5: marre Amy good ones here. I got some texts to
• 26:37
Speaker 5: get to, but we have a call to get to.
• 26:39
Speaker 5: I understand. I think it's our good friend Jim.
• 26:42
Speaker 3: Jim, Hello, Joey, Hi Jim.
• 26:48
Speaker 7: How are you great?
• 26:50
Speaker 3: Got to hear from you.
• 26:52
Speaker 7: Oh, thank you. I was curious because she David tenter
• 27:02
Speaker 7: uh a anything would do this in handicap sating, because.
• 27:11
  Speaker 2: To take it.
• 27:15
Speaker 7: Ways, that's something happened there in that building. I have
• 27:21
Speaker 7: to take the elevator. How would that work?
• 27:26
Speaker 15: You know you broke up there just a Smidg and Jim,
• 27:28
Speaker 15: I had a hard time hearing you, but I believe
• 27:29
Speaker 15: that you were talking about accessible seating, uh and being
• 27:34
Speaker 15: able to access seats for concerts and shows and in.
• 27:39
Speaker 5: The event of emergencies too, how would they get me?
• 27:41
Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
• 27:42
Speaker 15: Yes, yes, absolutely, that is part of the new seating plan,
• 27:46
Speaker 15: the egress as well of folks coming in and out
• 27:51
  Speaker 15: for sure.
• 27:54
Speaker 7: Okay, I was curious because you have to take that elevator,
• 28:00
Speaker 7: and I didn't know if they would shut the elevator
• 28:03
Speaker 7: down and wheelchairs have to go still go up to
• 28:08
  Speaker 7: that second level.
• 28:11
Speaker 15: Yeah, Jim, I'll be honest with you, I'm not sure
• 28:14
Speaker 15: that I even know all of the ins and outs
• 28:16
Speaker 15: of their emergency exit plan. I'm happy to look into
• 28:19
Speaker 15: it for you, and I'm actually happy to have somebody
• 28:21
Speaker 15: personally call you and go through it with you as well.
• 28:25
Speaker 15: And I'll make sure that our team is well versed
• 28:27
Speaker 15: on it. So next time I speak to you, I know.
• 28:30
  Speaker 2: Good enough, Jim.
• 28:31
Speaker 7: I want to tell you the go ahead. I want
• 28:35
Speaker 7: to tell you this CD to Vincent's Center people. Man,
• 28:40
Speaker 7: they are superstars. I meant you see the advertisements on
• 28:45
Speaker 7: TV is the comedians that's covert. Yes, sir, it's just
• 28:50
  Speaker 7: cover churl.
• 28:52
Speaker 5: Everything all right, Jim. As always, we appreciate your phone call. Man,
• 28:57
Speaker 5: thanks a lot. It is twenty twenty four minutes away
• 28:59
Speaker 5: from Tan. I got a text here for you, says
• 29:01
Speaker 5: for the mayor. Still need more police presence in Kanas City.
• 29:05
Speaker 5: Need to stop the cardboard sign holders from standing in corners.
• 29:08
Speaker 5: It's bad for business.
• 29:09
Speaker 15: Yeah, well, you know what, it's great timing. I actually
• 29:12
Speaker 15: had an opportunity our Charleston walks Dave, you heard it
• 29:15
Speaker 15: in my state of the city, and it's something that
• 29:16
Speaker 15: I've been doing since twenty nineteen. Took a brief lapse
• 29:20
Speaker 15: during COVID and started making phone calls. But I walked
• 29:24
Speaker 15: with Deputy Chief Web and we had another team member
• 29:28
Speaker 15: walk with Sergeant Travis Bales house to house, neighbor to neighbor.
• 29:33
Speaker 15: By the way, if you see me in your neighborhood,
• 29:34
Speaker 15: it's something that we're doing every single week. We pick
• 29:36
Speaker 15: a different neighborhood and we go door to door to
• 29:39
Speaker 15: not only you know, we can pull numbers and we do,
• 29:43
Speaker 15: and we pull numbers and we see where incidents are happening.
• 29:46
Speaker 15: And I think that our chief and Deputy chief are
• 29:48
Speaker 15: doing a really good job with strategic patrols and overtime patrols.
• 29:54
Speaker 15: By the way, that's what has to happen. When people
• 29:57
Speaker 15: call in. We're not going to ignore it. We show up.
• 30:00
Speaker 15: But I will say it's far and away different when
• 30:02
Speaker 15: you see police officers walking your neighborhood. And so you'll
• 30:06
Speaker 15: see us more this week, actually in Kenall City and
• 30:10
Speaker 15: actually on the West Side as well.
• 30:11
Speaker 5: Got a text here before we go to break, says Kamire,
• 30:14
Speaker 5: A good one. Provide a specific or at least a
• 30:16
Speaker 5: roundabout dollar amount on how much East End residents pay
• 30:19
Speaker 5: in for street sweeping fees each year. City council members
• 30:23
Speaker 5: have stated there will be policy changes recommended soon and
• 30:26
Speaker 5: residents to deserve to know what we're paying.
• 30:29
Speaker 15: Yeah, for sure, Well, I mean all that all depends
• 30:33
Speaker 15: upon year after year, but it's thousands and thousands of
• 30:36
Speaker 15: dollars for sure. But I will say this, there is
• 30:39
Speaker 15: a robust conversation that has been going on for you know, years,
• 30:43
Speaker 15: but lately it was folks asked, hey, let's get rid
• 30:49
Speaker 15: of it. Let's get rid of the street sweeping in
• 30:52
Speaker 15: the East End. It is an area where there are
• 30:54
Speaker 15: a lot of apartments. There are not a lot of
• 30:56
Speaker 15: driveways or parking pads, Dave, and so what's happened year
• 31:01
Speaker 15: after years there's just a lot of on street parking.
• 31:03
Speaker 15: And to get the street clean and swept, because it's
• 31:06
Speaker 15: a really heavily trafficked area, we would ask folks to
• 31:10
Speaker 15: move their cars for a couple hours on the left
• 31:11
Speaker 15: side and the right side of the street so we
• 31:12
Speaker 15: can swep. And someone said, let's get rid of it,
• 31:14
Speaker 15: let's get rid of it. Well, our sweepers can only go.
• 31:17
Speaker 15: I won't get into too much of the detail. I
• 31:19
Speaker 15: got to have at least two car lengths for one
• 31:20
Speaker 15: of my sweepers to actually make a dent in the
• 31:24
Speaker 15: gravel and debris and wrappers, and you know, after a storm.
• 31:29
Speaker 15: And so when we were doing our walks, we had
• 31:31
Speaker 15: several community meetings and we did walks. I mean I
• 31:35
Speaker 15: talked personally, just myself, and I went with councilmember Pepper
• 31:37
Speaker 15: and Councilwoman Hoover. I personally talked to fifty people. Ninety
• 31:42
Speaker 15: nine percent of them said don't stop the street sweeping,
• 31:45
Speaker 15: please don't please, don't do it now. Most of them,
• 31:48
Speaker 15: I would say, and they would say this to you.
• 31:50
Speaker 15: A couple were apartment folks that lived in apartments. A
• 31:52
Speaker 15: lot of them had parking pads or off off street parking,
• 31:55
Speaker 15: far and away. Folks don't want it to go away.
• 31:58
Speaker 15: Do I think that there might be a better way.
• 32:01
Speaker 15: Maybe starting a little bit later instead of making street
• 32:03
Speaker 15: sweeping start at nine, maybe make it noon. We can
• 32:06
Speaker 15: always try anything. We can give it a go, We
• 32:09
Speaker 15: can start a later time, or we can stop. I
• 32:11
Speaker 15: think the concern that we heard back and it was overwhelming.
• 32:15
Speaker 3: It wasn't it wasn't even fifty to fifty.
• 32:19
Speaker 15: Please don't get rid of the street sweeping in our area,
• 32:24
Speaker 15: is that you know, we can always we can always
• 32:27
Speaker 15: give it a try. But right now, that's the that's
• 32:29
Speaker 15: the that's the feedback that I have been getting, not
• 32:33
Speaker 15: just within my office, but one on one with neighbors

• 33:04
Speaker 15: So you know it'll go to committee, and so what

Speaker 15: I would encourage folks on the East End is come

Speaker 5: Texas Dave landlords charging high rents for empty storefronts are
• 35:52
Speaker 5: worse than anyone holding a cardboard sign. I don't know
• 35:56
Speaker 5: that there is a lot that the mayor can do
• 35:58
  Speaker 5: about that as.
• 35:59
Speaker 15: Well, or is there well, you know, I mean, we
• 36:02
Speaker 15: want to work with businesses we you know, and we
• 36:04
Speaker 15: have worked with folks who own these buildings that have
• 36:08
Speaker 15: remained empty. I know that the Charlestonary Alliance is also
• 36:13
Speaker 15: doing a lot of work. But you're right, they own it.
• 36:16
  Speaker 15: They own it.
• 36:16
Speaker 3: It's not my property.
• 36:18
Speaker 5: And so this is not a problem that's unique. Yeah,
• 36:22
Speaker 5: I mean, absentee landowners is a problem in just about
• 36:26
Speaker 5: every every Many of them are absent they're out of
• 36:29
Speaker 5: state people and whatever. And it's a problem in every
• 36:32
Speaker 5: city that I'm aware of.
• 36:33
Speaker 3: Yeah, no question about it.
• 36:34
Speaker 15: But I will say it takes investment, and it's not
• 36:38
Speaker 15: that it is you know, the part, the piece that
• 36:42
Speaker 15: mayors should play and that I believe that we do
• 36:44
Speaker 15: play is put an emphasis on Listen. If if I'm
• 36:48
Speaker 15: asking you to invest, I better be investing. And I
• 36:51
Speaker 15: know I use the city Center at lack Plaza as
• 36:54
Speaker 15: prime example. But folks, it has been the largest return
• 36:58
Speaker 15: on investment that we've seen in downtown Charleston in a
• 37:00
Speaker 15: very long period of time. If you build it, they'll come. Yes,
• 37:04
Speaker 15: I mean city Center its lack Plaza has spurred the
• 37:06
Speaker 15: economic growth of downtown Charleston significantly. And so that's where
• 37:11
Speaker 15: people want to be people want to be and businesses
• 37:14
Speaker 15: want to be where people are, and so US investing
• 37:17
Speaker 15: in that area of the city certainly helped and absolutely
• 37:23
  Speaker 15: put into play.
• 37:24
Speaker 3: Many many, many, many.

• 37:58
  Speaker 5: A good one.
• 38:01
  Speaker 7: Good morning, Mayor.
• 38:02
Speaker 4: I have not pastored you about this in a long time,
• 38:06
Speaker 4: so I thought it was time to try it one
• 38:08
Speaker 4: more time. You brought back the regatta, you trimmed it
• 38:12
Speaker 4: down and it was It's beautiful and I'm very very
• 38:16
Speaker 4: happy that you did that. The one event that remains
• 38:20
Speaker 4: some in need of attention is to Charlie West Blues Fest.
• 38:25
Speaker 4: That was a great events in Charleston. Blues fans come
• 38:29
Speaker 4: from all over the country and they did the same
• 38:32
Speaker 4: thing they do with the regard that they go into
• 38:34
Speaker 4: the restaurants in the hotels and they spend a lot
• 38:37
Speaker 4: of money. And it not only is a lot of
• 38:39
Speaker 4: fun or a lot of folks, it also is a
• 38:44
Speaker 4: contributor to the economy of our great city. So just
• 38:48
Speaker 4: ask you to take a look at that.
• 38:51
Speaker 15: Yes, absolutely, I'll say absolutely. Well that's number one. But
• 38:55
Speaker 15: number two. The other thing that I was so so
• 39:00
Speaker 15: sorry to see leave us was the DOOP. We had
• 39:05
Speaker 15: funded the due Op at great levels and we're going
• 39:08
Speaker 15: to continue to fund the due Op. But when they
• 39:11
Speaker 15: let us know they didn't have the and here's what
• 39:14
Speaker 15: happens with a lot of events, they didn't have the sponsorship.
• 39:17
Speaker 3: This is at least that's what they told us.
• 39:19
Speaker 15: They didn't have the sponsorship and they didn't have the
• 39:21
Speaker 15: volunteers to make it happen. We can do a lot
• 39:25
Speaker 15: in the city, for sure, we can't do everything for
• 39:29
Speaker 15: every event, but that was the demise of the DOOP.
• 39:34
Speaker 15: It certainly wasn't city city focus. We wanted that event
• 39:38
Speaker 15: to thrive and stay here in the city of Charleston,
• 39:42
Speaker 15: and same with the Blues Fest. It just sometimes events
• 39:45
Speaker 15: don't work, but I'm always happy to have that conversation
• 39:50
Speaker 15: and see what we can do to make it work.
• 39:54
Speaker 4: Thanks. I appreciate that.
• 39:55
Speaker 5: Yeah, you bet, I thank you. Thanks for the call.
• 39:57
Speaker 5: Thirteen minutes away from ten Tex, says Cato. The golf
• 40:00
Speaker 5: course are greens update?
• 40:01
Speaker 3: Oh yes, thank you.
• 40:03
Speaker 15: So we had someone it's been at least a year now, Dave,
• 40:07
Speaker 15: you and I talked about it. We had a consultant
• 40:09
Speaker 15: come in to help us with the right type of
• 40:13
Speaker 15: chemicals to put on the green, the right type of
• 40:16
Speaker 15: mowing equipment that we need, and to train our team
• 40:20
Speaker 15: members to get it up and running. So it is
• 40:23
Speaker 15: certainly a priority of mine to make sure that they
• 40:27
Speaker 15: get in better shape. We have not been charging for
• 40:30
Speaker 15: golf at Cato because I just didn't think it was fair.
• 40:33
Speaker 15: The course is not in good shape. I'm a golfer.
• 40:35
Speaker 15: That's what my family does. They're in the golf business.
• 40:38
Speaker 15: My dad was a pro golfer, and so I've spent
• 40:40
Speaker 15: probably more time on a golf course than most any
• 40:43
Speaker 15: other thing that I've ever done in my life and
• 40:45
Speaker 15: to see the golf course get into disrepair is not fun.
• 40:49
Speaker 15: But what we needed to do was start over with
• 40:51
Speaker 15: aeration and the right type of grass that we're planting.
• 40:55
Speaker 15: Maintaining a golf course is very expensive, but it's not
• 40:58
Speaker 15: just expense. It's having people on staff who know it.
• 41:02
Speaker 15: And even though we have amazing employees, there is a
• 41:05
Speaker 15: method and there is a there are systems that have
• 41:08
Speaker 15: to be put in place to make a golf course thrive.
• 41:12
Speaker 5: Texas. Can the mayor look into getting the crater of
• 41:15
Speaker 5: a pothole fixed on Oakwood? It's before the Methodist Church.
• 41:19
Speaker 5: If you're coming from the High school, you can't miss
• 41:21
Speaker 5: it as it takes up a third of the lane.
• 41:23
Speaker 15: Yeah, I saw someone text about that or post about
• 41:26
Speaker 15: it last night. Yes, for sure, we will work with
• 41:29
Speaker 15: the state as well.
• 41:31
  Speaker 3: On oak Wood.
• 41:32
Speaker 15: There are several over there as well, but there are
• 41:35
Speaker 15: there are several down by not just Elizabeth Memorial, but
• 41:40
Speaker 15: there are some this morning that I saw very early
• 41:43
Speaker 15: early this morning, even in the dark, that was filled
• 41:45
Speaker 15: with water right by Overbrook Elementary as well. It's pothole season,
• 41:50
Speaker 15: it just simply is. And we have more potholes because
• 41:52
Speaker 15: we had more ice and snow this year than we've
• 41:54
Speaker 15: had in a very long period of time, and so
• 41:57
Speaker 15: as we're able to cold patch, we will. But we
• 42:01
Speaker 15: are going to be starting our paving season very very soon,
• 42:05
  Speaker 15: and there's a lot, there's a lot of millions, millions
• 42:08
Speaker 15: and millions of dollars are going to go into our
• 42:10
Speaker 15: paving cycle. I'd love to do just a piece on paving.
• 42:14
Speaker 5: Dave, because boy, that sounds exciting.
• 42:17
Speaker 15: I know, well it is for city people, I mean
• 42:18
Speaker 15: it is. Those are the things that are important to people.
• 42:22
Speaker 15: By the way, it's important to me too, So I
• 42:24
Speaker 15: do find I do find it sexy and exciting paving
• 42:27
  Speaker 15: and paving Texas.
• 42:29
Speaker 5: The best thing Charleston ever did was to turn the
• 42:31
Speaker 5: Civic Center over to a company to run a great move.
• 42:34
Speaker 5: Mayor keep up the good work.
• 42:35
Speaker 15: Yeah, so, you know, no fault of past administrations.
• 42:38
  Speaker 3: It's just it's a business.
• 42:40
Speaker 15: I mean, it just simply is and and for and
• 42:44
Speaker 15: for good reason is because Mayor Jones kind of opened
• 42:47
Speaker 15: those doors and said, we're not just a civic center
• 42:49
Speaker 15: any longer. We are a coliseum and convention center. Well,
• 42:53
Speaker 15: by golly, then let's treat it like that. And not
• 42:55
Speaker 15: only treat it like that, but let's get the folks
• 42:58
Speaker 15: who do it for a living. Have folks who we
• 43:01
Speaker 15: are going to get every single day to churn revenue
• 43:05

Speaker 5: From Sam Dave Allan Show and find Vidieline brownch You've
• 46:02
Speaker 5: fired by Morgan to Morgan, America's largest injury law firm.
• 46:06
Speaker 5: Texts for the mayor. You could change the street sueek
• 46:08
Speaker 5: time to afternoon. That would help.
• 46:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's part of the bill.
• 46:12
Speaker 15: It's the resolution that's going to go through I think
• 46:15
Speaker 15: starting at noon because that's part of the challenge. But
• 46:17
Speaker 15: you know, I will say we had our Director of Parking,
• 46:21
Speaker 15: Terry Allen, go back and look at the percentages of
• 46:24
Speaker 15: how many tickets were in the morning and how many
• 46:26
Speaker 15: tickets were in the afternoon, and there's a little difference.
• 46:29
Speaker 15: It's it's not huge, but there is a little difference.
• 46:31
Speaker 15: But that is one that is one recommendation that a
• 46:36
Speaker 15: couple of people have brought up.
• 46:38
Speaker 5: So for sure, Texas mayor ask meter patrol what they
• 46:42
Speaker 5: think might be a good idea for steet for the
• 46:44
Speaker 5: street sweep, because they hear it all oh.
• 46:47
Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, No.
• 46:47
Speaker 15: They're part of the team, and they were part of
• 46:49
Speaker 15: our very first meeting as well. We have great team members,
• 46:53
Speaker 15: we have great directors, and we have a very engaged
• 46:57
Speaker 15: administration and so I'm really proud of all the work
• 47:00
Speaker 15: that they do. Speaking of I'm going to be with
• 47:01
Speaker 15: Chief Dempsey here in just a little bit. We're going
• 47:03
Speaker 15: to swear in three new police officers to the Charleston
• 47:07
Speaker 15: Police Department. So not only are we making progress there,
• 47:10
Speaker 15: we're also making progress on our public safety building.
• 47:13
  Speaker 4: Dave.
• 47:13
Speaker 15: We haven't talked about that in a long time, and
• 47:15
Speaker 15: maybe next time I can talk about it. But we
• 47:18
Speaker 15: as you all know, we purchased the big old Truist
• 47:21
Speaker 15: data center over on Bullet Street, and so design and
• 47:24
Speaker 15: implementation is starting now and so we will finally finally
• 47:30
Speaker 15: have all of our police in one location, because right
• 47:33
Speaker 15: now it's kind of scattershot all across the city and
• 47:36
Speaker 15: buildings and different departments.
• 47:38
Speaker 5: And have an approximate time for that, I mean, I
• 47:41
  Speaker 5: any idea.
• 47:42
Speaker 15: You know, I would say it's it's going to take
• 47:44
Speaker 15: months and months obviously for design, but I would say
• 47:46
Speaker 15: end of twenty twenty six.
• 47:48
Speaker 5: Tex says, is there's someone who can reopen park Place
• 47:50
Speaker 5: Cinema's nothing better than have any movie theater downtown.
• 47:54
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 47:54
Speaker 15: Absolutely, So we have talked to one company who does
• 47:59
Speaker 15: it for a living in a different in a different city, uh,
• 48:03
Speaker 15: to see if we can help make the numbers work.
• 48:05
Speaker 15: But we're also working with a lot of local folks
• 48:08
Speaker 15: to see if we can get some the scary word
• 48:11
Speaker 15: right now grants and some federal interest in looking at
• 48:16
Speaker 15: doing a an arts theater slash movie theater and making
• 48:21
Speaker 15: it like a combo thing.
• 48:23
Speaker 5: So Texas, thank you for the cleanup on South Ruffner.
• 48:26
Speaker 5: But why was the city dumping left over cold patch
• 48:29
Speaker 5: into the creek instead? Of filling the numerous potholes in town.
• 48:32
Speaker 3: Well, let me I don't know all that.
• 48:35
Speaker 15: I know that we are investigating that, but I will
• 48:37
Speaker 15: say that there was a while back, there was request,
• 48:42
Speaker 15: uh and I don't know from whom to build up
• 48:44
Speaker 15: part of the embankment a long time ago, and so
• 48:48
Speaker 15: I know that's why they were doing it. Then I
• 48:50
Speaker 15: don't really know or have an update on why they
• 48:53
Speaker 15: have been doing it. But I'm super happy to if
• 48:56
Speaker 15: the if the Texter wants to call the office at
• 48:58
Speaker 15: three oh four three four eight eight one seven four,
• 49:02
Speaker 15: I'm happy to have that conversation with him as well.
• 49:04
Speaker 15: Matthew Sutton, our chief of staff, has been working on this.
• 49:07
Speaker 5: Yeah, well it's a good thing. He's doing something.
• 49:09
Speaker 3: Yeah, he's doing something.
• 49:10
Speaker 15: Well, we're getting ready for USA Cycling too, so I
• 49:12
Speaker 15: know I get a couple of meeting this week upcoming
• 49:15
  Speaker 15: on that.
• 49:15
Speaker 5: That is a major, major underta.
• 49:17
  Speaker 3: It is massive.
• 49:18
Speaker 15: Thanks to Spilman for being our title sponsor this year.
• 49:23
Speaker 15: If you weren't around for the USA Cycling last year,
• 49:26
Speaker 15: you need to be this year. It begins May nineteenth
• 49:29
Speaker 15: and runs through Memorial Day Monday, May twenty sixth. It
• 49:33
Speaker 15: is absolutely huge. It's absolutely huge, four point six million
• 49:38
Speaker 15: dollars in economic impact. When I say economic impact, everybody
• 49:41
Speaker 15: gets this confused about the regarda too. When I say
• 49:43
Speaker 15: forty million dollars impact, it's not money. I get, it's
• 49:46
Speaker 15: not many the city gets. It's Joe's barbershop and Amy's
• 49:50
Speaker 15: salon and the bars and.
• 49:52
Speaker 3: Restaurants, also a hotel.
• 49:53
Speaker 5: So you do get it right.
• 49:54
  Speaker 4: I know.
• 49:55
Speaker 15: Well, every time I do this show and I say
• 49:58
Speaker 15: four point six million dollars, but what is she doing
• 49:59
Speaker 15: with that four MILLI do you get it?
• 50:01
Speaker 3: You businesses get it.
• 50:02
Speaker 15: The reason why I do these things is to generate
• 50:04
Speaker 15: economic impact for you. The bicycling race was four point
• 50:07
Speaker 15: six I think it'll be bigger this year. But what's
• 50:11
Speaker 15: important is it lifted visitors spending by twenty two percent
• 50:16
Speaker 15: during this event. So I'm having more people go into
• 50:19
Speaker 15: your shops and your stores, and your restaurants and your
• 50:21
Speaker 15: bars and your hotels during events like that, and that's
• 50:23
Speaker 15: what's important just for the economy.
• 50:25
Speaker 5: Last week, speaking of Rigatta, last week, I had you
• 50:27
Speaker 5: on the show when you made the announcement along with
• 50:32
Speaker 5: Tim Brady and his sailor suit. I know he's from
• 50:35
Speaker 5: you know, he's going to get good use out of that.
• 50:37
  Speaker 14: Yeah.
• 50:37
Speaker 3: We had another special announcement last week too.
• 50:39
Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll talk about it.
• 50:40
Speaker 15: Yeah, Josh Pantry, who we have Josh has known for
• 50:45
Speaker 15: a little while as I have known for a little while,
• 50:47
Speaker 15: and getting him into the regatta. So we said, give us,
• 50:51
Speaker 15: give us an opportunity to get the main stage acts
• 50:54
Speaker 15: lined up and then we'll make your announcement separate from
• 50:58
Speaker 15: everyone else and think of something funny and que and
• 51:00
Speaker 15: cool we can do with it.
• 51:01
Speaker 3: And we did it last week.
• 51:02
Speaker 15: So we're really excited to have Josh Pantry actually kick
• 51:04
Speaker 15: off the regatta on the main stage on Thursday, July third.
• 51:07
Speaker 5: All right, final text, and then we'll see what TJ
• 51:10
Speaker 5: is going to get into on talk line today, any
• 51:12
Speaker 5: development says a texture with Town Center with counselor mom.
• 51:15
Speaker 15: Yes, okay, yes, yes, yes, finally, well no, not yet.
• 51:21
Speaker 15: We're you know, we're having great meetings and we're getting
• 51:23
Speaker 15: a lot of good traction, and so it's you know,
• 51:27
Speaker 15: but here's the deal, folk, It's going to be years
• 51:29
Speaker 15: in the making. This is not something that turn key,
• 51:32
Speaker 15: and by next Thursday it's going to be turned around.
