The survey that again, people in the industry, agents that are in the business talk about what they like, what they dislike, good front offices, bad front offices, what the outlook is. Man. It's a really fun conversation. We could have gone a lot longer. Make sure you check out that full article on Last Man Standig on Substack. Check out Ben Standig on Twitter at Ben Standig for all that. Again, you can check my notes, check my page. You'll see it all there. So really fun with Ben DeMar. So make sure you tune in for that one. But let's get to it. So far on the defensive line front, we've talked about Barry Alexander of Oregon, Will Eccles of Ole Miss. Took a look at CJ Mims as well. You'll see him on the stack board as we go. But today is all about Ahmad Moulton Sr. A fifth-year player for the Kanes. sorry, fourth year, fifth year player, yeah, for the Kanes that took a developmental red shirt back in 2022 when that was a thing. Played in two games, saw time in 11 games in 2023, 13 games in 2024, started all 14 in 2025. So again, a player that is exercising that fifth year five for five. So he'll be done last year. 31 tackles, 9 TFLs, four and a half sacks on the year. In two games this year, totaled sixty-seven defensive snaps and has been credited with two hurries, not a lot of production against Stanford, hardly played against FanU as that one became a blowout. Let's go ahead and throw on some film here. So we are looking at jersey number nine, list number 99, listed at 6'3, 300 pounds. So I think that height might be a little bit belch. I'm thinking a little probably 6015, maybe 6020, a little shorter, like teammate Lassier Rubin Bay, not seeing the longest arm. So again, I think that's going to be a question for this player through the process. How long are those arms on the inside? Again, as we always look at with these defensive linemen, again, we want to see get off. How is he getting off the ball? One gap, two gap ability. Is he a penetrator? Is he more of a line of scrimmage player? Run game, pass game. Again, we kind of talk about those in big picture. And then pass rush and finish. Again, that pass game, the pass rush all goes together, but we want to know each one of these elements. Again, how does he win? Is he active? What's the movement like? One of the questions I had for this player going in based on the size, based on the profile, the way he's used, is he a nose tackle or a defensive tackle? Is he a tweener? Again, we'll kind of talk about that all as we go. Again, as we have his 2025 film that pulled up here. We got some some impact. I believe these are pressures that he's gonna get on. And again, that's where the value for this player is. Again, is going to be in his inside pass direction is pressure. So we'll start with get off. Again, I think this players got good overall get off as a one gap player. When it is one gap pass game, getting up the field, I think this player has a good ability to work edges, get up the field. He is quick, he is twitchy. I don't think he's necessarily fast. I think the burst is just sufficient. I think that is where he's going to struggle a little bit. There's going to be some opportunities where it looks like he comes free, doesn't quite have that extra gear to close and finish, though he is a high motor, good motor player that's going to be active in what he does. So the get-offs are good. Better one-gap player than two-gap player. And again, we start talking about the run game. This guy is a one-gap player. He is going to be a sub- Package nose tackle. I think I think there's enough size there. I think he can work on his lateral leverage, which I think is average right now. This player gets washed. He's light on the hip. You'll see it in one and two gap situations, really early on, even in the Stanford game here in 2026, getting moved a full gap off, allowing the tackles and guards to climb, pop the hip and climb to that second level. You've got to be able to at least eat two blockers. Maintain it. No, I think he's got some size. You see some snaps where he does it where he plays with better pad level, plays with good hand placement, and allows the defense to work. But there are too many times where I'm seeing this player getting washed a little bit down the line of scrimmage, playing again a gap, gap and a half over, allowing that offense to work. So again, I think he is more of the defensive tackle, but he's really a sub-inside player. And again, we'll talk about that as we go. So in the run game, we'll More of a one gap player than a two-gap player. I think the average lateral leverage is going to be a limit, but something he can work on. Again, whether that's not a part of this Miami system, something he just has to focus on, continue to get stronger and stouter at the point of attack will allow him to potentially be that odd front defensive end as well, which again continue to add value, find it, be a scheme fit no matter where he's at. As we move to the past game again, that's where this player adds his value. That's where you can see this guy's motor runs a little hotter. In the past game again with this Miami defense, those guys get after it. The motor, the active hands are going to allow that good initial get off. This player must win quick with his hands. That is the the the thing about this player. He's not putting a lot of pass rush moves together. He is not, you know, putting one, two, three things together. And the short arms, I think, do show up. Now, when he wins with quick swipes, scissors, armovers, again, whatever it is, when he wins quick with good hand quickness, that That is when this player is the best. Now he can work edges. He is active. He has the motor. Again, you see him working in close to the quarterback there. The player has the ability to have some impact. I think he's going to struggle to finish. One of the things we talk about all the time. He's going to be more of that active disruptor than he is if you know, production and finish guy. But again, there's certainly value in that. His pass rush. I think he is a sufficient overall pass rush player. And a lot of that Is going to come from his quick wins. This will be a quick win or done player. And again, I think the height and the arm length is going to limit him a little bit in the passing league, which we're going to talk about, his ultimate grade, where he ultimately ends up. I think you're probably starting to hear he's coming down the board a little bit, depending on where this player is talked about. Again, maybe it surprises you, maybe not. But again, this is a player that I think just has some limitations, though he is a good versatile player. Again, I think he is. Probably going to be labeled a defensive tackle for many teams. I think he does have sub-nose tackle ability because again, the disruption he can win in some sub packages where you are playing one gap. Again, I think some teams are going to feel okay. Hey, we like him as a versatile backup that can play up and down the line of scrimmage. You can nose tackle, def tackle, odd front defensive end in some limited rolls. He can certainly do it there. So again, I think this is ultimately. a fourth to fifth round player. So as I hit pause on this, jump over to our stack board. You will see that I have that fifth round Greg quality, depth, and role player for this guy. This is the kind of guy that you like, you don't love. You acknowledge a good football player. He's going to give our defensive line room, defensive line coach, defensive coordinator, some versatility. He's going to be a backup at probably two or three different spots. Now you want this guy probably playing 15 to 20 snaps a game. Anything more than that, you're probably not going to like what you see. Again, it's going to allow offenses to pick on him a little bit, which is Probably still gonna happen. You're gonna want to run at this player when you when an offense gets out on the field. But this is a still a quality player that belongs on an NFL roster, is a fifth-round pick. again, this is a guy that finds a way to stick, finds again good ways to win, and is ultimately going to impact a game. Again, the more you see of this player, like a lot of backups in the NFL. The more you see, the less you like them, but in their role, when everything is right, you like them exactly where they're at. So the thing that's gonna move this player up is gonna be pass rush production. Again, pass rush is always going to move guys up the board and seeing this guy finish at the production, be able to do those things, that's going to move this player up the board. So again, as we hit save on that, again, we got our nose tackle, defensive tackles. Again, obviously this guy's just slotting in right here in front of CJ Mims, who, again, I think is a quality depth player on a On a defense. Not as explosive, not the size that Will Eckle has. Certainly not what Bear Alexander is. So again, we're going to stick him right there. Again, now we have our four defensive tackles done. I got a couple more guys on there to watch, but again, let me know who you want to watch in the future and we'll talk about him. But again, Ramad Bowden, again, good player. Time's going to tell. Sach production will move him up this year. Want to see him finish plays, continue to do that kind of thing. We'll see that grade maybe move up to hey, could he be in that day two conversation? If not, we're going to be talking probably. a fourth to fifth round on day three. But what do you think? Where am I right? Where am I wrong? Let me know over on Twitter in the comments here on YouTube. At right step A D V is where you can find me. Let me know. Let me know who you want to hear in the future. Is it more guys in the trenches? Flip it over to the offensive side. Some skilled guys let me know. Happy to jump on and hit those players for you. and we'll see what we get. Miami, get some games coming up here where there's some true competition to help out Ahmad Bolton Sr. So what do you want to hear next? Let me know tomorrow with Ben Standig, last man standing. Check out his Substack article. Be ready. Be locked in for one. Really fun conversation with Ben and Neil. So make sure you get locked in for that one. Excited for another week of football as we keep scouting.
