• 0:43
SPEAKER_00: We have these things because we know Him.
• 0:46
SPEAKER_00: Jesus chose us by His glory and goodness, through which He also gave us the very great and rich gifts that He promised us.
• 0:56
SPEAKER_00: With these gifts you can share in being like God, and so you will escape the ruin that comes to the people in the world because of the evil things that they want.
• 1:09
SPEAKER_00: Because you have these blessings.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_00: Do all you can to add to your life these things.
• 1:17
SPEAKER_00: To your faith, add goodness.
• 1:20
SPEAKER_00: To your goodness, add knowledge.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_00: To your knowledge, add self-control.
• 1:26
SPEAKER_00: To your self control, add patience.
• 1:30
SPEAKER_00: To your patience, add devotion to God, and to your devotion, add kindness towards your brothers and sisters in Christ.
• 1:40
SPEAKER_00: And to this kindness add love.
• 1:44
SPEAKER_00: If all of these things are in you and growing, you will never fail to be useful to God.
• 1:51
SPEAKER_00: You will produce the kind of fruit that should come from your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
• 1:58
SPEAKER_00: But those who don't grow in these blessings are blind.
• 2:03
SPEAKER_00: They cannot see clearly what they have.
• 2:07
SPEAKER_00: They have forgotten that they were cleansed from their past sins.
• 2:12
SPEAKER_00: My brothers and sisters, God called you and chose you to be his.
• 2:18
SPEAKER_00: Do your best to live in a way that shows that you are really God's called and chosen people.
• 2:25
SPEAKER_00: If you do all of this, you will never fall, and you will be given a very great welcome into the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a kingdom that never ends.
• 2:41
SPEAKER_00: You already know these things.
• 2:44
SPEAKER_00: You are very strong in the truth you have, but I am always going to help you remember them.
• 2:50
SPEAKER_00: While I am still living here on earth, I think it is right for me to remind you of them.
• 2:56
SPEAKER_00: I know that I must soon leave this body.
• 3:00
SPEAKER_00: Our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me that.
• 3:03
SPEAKER_00: I will try my best to make sure you remember these things even after I am gone.
• 3:11
  SPEAKER_00: We saw Christ's glory.
• 3:14
SPEAKER_00: We told you about the power of our Lord Jesus Christ.
• 3:18
SPEAKER_00: We told you about his coming.
• 3:21
SPEAKER_00: The things we told you were not just clever stories that people invented.
• 3:27
SPEAKER_00: No, we saw the greatness of Jesus with our own eyes.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_00: Jesus heard the voice of the great and glorious God.
• 3:38
SPEAKER_00: That was when he received honor and glory from God the Father.
• 3:43
SPEAKER_00: The voice said this is my Son, the one I love, and I am very pleased from him.
• 3:51
SPEAKER_00: And we heard that voice.
• 3:54
SPEAKER_00: It came from heaven while we were with Jesus on the holy mountain.
• 4:00
SPEAKER_00: This makes us more sure about what the prophets said, and it is good for you to follow closely what they said, which is like a light shining in a dark place, and you have that light until the day begins, and the morning star brings new light to your minds.
• 4:23
SPEAKER_00: Most important of all, you must understand this.
• 4:28
SPEAKER_00: No prophecy in the scriptures comes from the prophet's own understanding.
• 4:34
SPEAKER_00: No prophecy ever came from what some person wanted to say, but people were led by the Holy Spirit and spoke words from God.
