- 0:00Speaker 1: And now move the sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:07Speaker 2: What's up everybody. Welcome to move the sticks, DJ and
- 0:10Speaker 2: Buck with you. A happy new year, buck Man, happy
- 0:12Speaker 2: to new you to you too, man.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's such a great time of reflection, gratitude, but also
- 0:18Speaker 1: looking ahead at the possibilities and opportunities that twenty twenty six.
- 0:21Speaker 2: We were, Yeah, I mean, it's it's a great year
- 0:24Speaker 2: in twenty twenty five. Really excited about twenty six. Excited
- 0:26Speaker 2: as we kind of get into the fun part of
- 0:29Speaker 2: the season. We're here down the home stretch of the
- 0:31Speaker 2: college football season, the playoffs, getting ready to crank up
- 0:33Speaker 2: in the NFL. We've got draft talk which will start
- 0:36Speaker 2: kind of cranking up a little bit here. So it's
- 0:38Speaker 2: a fun time here. Always enjoyed January, and I was
- 0:42Speaker 2: looking at some of the things going on in the
- 0:43Speaker 2: football landscape and I was like, you know, gosh, I
- 0:45Speaker 2: feel like there's a couple of things we didn't get
- 0:47Speaker 2: a chance to address on here. We haven't talked about,
- 0:50Speaker 2: and I wanted to get your thoughts on it because
- 0:52Speaker 2: I haven't heard it yet. But the big one to
- 0:54Speaker 2: me was Michigan has a coach and it's an old
- 0:57Speaker 2: buddy of ours, someone we've followed forever and been around forever.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Is Kyle Whittingham making the move over to Michigan after
- 1:03Speaker 2: he stepped down at Utah. So what's your gut on
- 1:06Speaker 2: how that's going to go down.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I think he fits the brand. I think he fits
- 1:10Speaker 1: everything that Michigan wants to be. And I will say
- 1:13Speaker 1: that given how the Michigan franchise and brand was built,
- 1:18Speaker 1: Like let's think about bo Sham Becker and how they
- 1:19Speaker 1: always wanted to play and how it was recreated under
- 1:22Speaker 1: Jim Harbor, where they always have a certain way that
- 1:25Speaker 1: they play well. When you look at those Utah teams
- 1:27Speaker 1: and you think about the culture and all those things,
- 1:30Speaker 1: Kyle Winningham approaches football like bu.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Sham Beckley and those great coaches that Michigan have.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I think the recruiting will be different because he comes
- 1:39Speaker 1: from the West Coast and now dealing in the Midwest.
- 1:41Speaker 1: But in terms of stylistically feel all this, it feels
- 1:46Speaker 1: like a great fit. And even though it took them
- 1:49Speaker 1: a while to figure out who the coach is wanted
- 1:52Speaker 1: to be, I think they landed on a good one
- 1:54Speaker 1: regardless of the age.
- 1:55Speaker 3: I think he is a nice fit for Michigan and
- 1:58Speaker 3: what they need right now.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I think if you look at the Michigan teams that
- 2:02Speaker 2: have beaten Ohio State and they beat them a bunch
- 2:04Speaker 2: until this last year or had a nice little run,
- 2:07Speaker 2: they did it by being the more physical line of
- 2:09Speaker 2: scrimmage team. And if you're going to make a list
- 2:11Speaker 2: of the coaches that have done the best job of
- 2:13Speaker 2: building through the trenches of having a physical identity, Kyle
- 2:17Speaker 2: might be the number one guy on the list.
- 2:19Speaker 1: What they've done at Utah one d per I mean,
- 2:22Speaker 1: that's that's what they do. But it's not only did
- 2:24Speaker 1: DJ like going all the way back. I remember Utah's
- 2:27Speaker 1: reemergence first on the Irvan Maya and then the way
- 2:29Speaker 1: that Cal Winningham extended it. It wasn't just like the
- 2:32Speaker 1: physicality into toughness. I would say it was the culture.
- 2:35Speaker 1: And I would say that one of the reasons why
- 2:38Speaker 1: we used to love to shop at Utah when it
- 2:40Speaker 1: came for NFL prospects. Those guys always seemed to find
- 2:44Speaker 1: a way to make it because they were built the
- 2:46Speaker 1: right way. They had to write in tangibles. They they
- 2:49Speaker 1: came ready to work at an NFL level. And I
- 2:54Speaker 1: mean just think about the great pros that have come
- 2:56Speaker 1: out of that university.
- 2:58Speaker 3: That's not I mean, that's not by chance.
- 3:00Speaker 1: That is because they were developed and really given the
- 3:03Speaker 1: right tools to be successful as pros.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm excited to see how that whole thing comes together.
- 3:09Speaker 2: And it's gonna be it's gonna be fun to get
- 3:10Speaker 2: his first taste of the Ohio State Michigan rivalry down
- 3:14Speaker 2: the road there. And ironic, as you mentioned Urban Meyer,
- 3:16Speaker 2: kind of his mentor who he came up under. Urban
- 3:19Speaker 2: Meyra obviously is the one who got Ohio State back
- 3:21Speaker 2: on the right track, you know, and they'd been down
- 3:23Speaker 2: a little bit. So it'll be fascinating to watch that
- 3:26Speaker 2: rivalry going forward. Buck, we need to we need to
- 3:29Speaker 2: have our rookie draft here, this is the last one.
- 3:33Speaker 2: As we come down the home stretch here, I'll be
- 3:35Speaker 2: honest with you, I'm out of it. I have been
- 3:38Speaker 2: I have been hammered this year in the rookie draft.
- 3:41Speaker 2: So Rhett is in first place, seventy three points. You
- 3:44Speaker 2: have a shot here. You're at sixty nine. I'm at
- 3:47Speaker 2: sixty two, dead in the water. So I'm not gonna
- 3:50Speaker 2: lie to you. My focus and attention on this is
- 3:52Speaker 2: not great. I thought about conniving, you know, kind of
- 3:55Speaker 2: coming up with a plan. How do I how do
- 3:57Speaker 2: I not pick some goo's hard towards you. I was
- 4:03Speaker 2: trying to funnel some players towards you, but it's so hard.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Week eighteen we got we got people that are
- 4:10Speaker 3: not playing their people.
- 4:11Speaker 1: So so now we're digging. We're digging in the crazy
- 4:16Speaker 1: trying to figure out what to come up within. The
- 4:18Speaker 1: one thing that we know is O Red is Red
- 4:21Speaker 1: is very resourceful when it comes to these things. He's
- 4:24Speaker 1: going to try and find a way to get this
- 4:25Speaker 1: thing done.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but Ret's not here, so Gavin's gonna have to
- 4:28Speaker 2: have to pick for him.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Gav.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I don't have this confirmed, but I think all my
- 4:32Speaker 2: good weeks came with me doing the picks, and I
- 4:34Speaker 2: think I've struggled. When you've done the picks, there's no
- 4:36Speaker 2: don't look that up. Don't don't look it up. But
- 4:39Speaker 2: that's how I'm telling myself. That's what I'm telling myself
- 4:42Speaker 2: here for how that's uh, that's where I am. So
- 4:45Speaker 2: we have got uh look at that REHD has the
- 4:47Speaker 2: first pick. It goes Red has the first and then
- 4:51Speaker 2: myself here as we uh, as we knock out our
- 4:54Speaker 2: final rookie draft. Buck, you got to have a good
- 4:56Speaker 2: one here. He's gonna go Tam Mac. He's going with McMillan, uh,
- 5:00Speaker 2: with his first pick here, So you are up next, Buck.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Oh, man, like man, Let's see if we can go
- 5:07Speaker 1: with the gift that keeps on giving.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Let's see if we can go at Harrow Finning Jr.
- 5:11Speaker 1: He's hurt, he's hurt, he got hurt. Yeah, he's not
- 5:14Speaker 1: playing though. Yeah, he can't do that one.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Oh that's crummy all right.
- 5:19Speaker 1: With Coaston Lovelin for the Bears, we have to take him.
- 5:23Speaker 1: You're gonna Lennon, Yeah, because Riley Leonard is playing quarterback
- 5:26Speaker 1: for whatever.
- 5:27Speaker 3: So I'm gonna what that's gonna look back? All right?
- 5:30Speaker 2: Well, uh, I'm gonna go with Warren Warren and then
- 5:36Speaker 2: I'll come back. So that's my tight end. Now I
- 5:40Speaker 2: need a running back receiver. Well, Buka's got to play. Well,
- 5:45Speaker 2: they're in a they're in a war. So I'll go
- 5:48Speaker 2: with Buka with my wide out here. Buck, you're up, man.
- 5:52Speaker 1: So this is tricky, right because the Patriots need to
- 5:56Speaker 1: win it. Maybe whatever but then let's go to command
- 6:00Speaker 1: do Let's go with Bill, oh grossky merrit. Yeah, he
- 6:04Speaker 1: had a good game last time and gets let's go
- 6:05Speaker 1: with Bill. He's going Henderson. Oh, maybe a spring get ankle.
- 6:15Speaker 2: And then Gatston with the Chargers kind of resting some
- 6:18Speaker 2: guys playing against the Broncos team, but has to win.
- 6:21Speaker 2: But I think Gatson probably still get some work there,
- 6:24Speaker 2: so he goes Gatston.
- 6:25Speaker 3: God, it can't be so dependent.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And Luther Burton had a quiet injury at the end
- 6:28Speaker 1: of the game, and I feel great about that. No, man, whatever,
- 6:34Speaker 1: Ricky Maka is gone, TMC is gone. She had the
- 6:40Speaker 1: kids from Houston, but man, you never know if it's
- 6:43Speaker 1: gonna be Higgins.
- 6:43Speaker 3: And no, well, I don't like that got.
- 6:48Speaker 2: There's another Ricky wide receiver we can lean on. I
- 6:52Speaker 2: think that you kind of named them all there.
- 6:54Speaker 1: That's it right, there's there's there's nobody like.
- 6:57Speaker 2: There's Trey Harris might be getting some work from the
- 7:00Speaker 2: Chargers with a lot of guys sitting.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Oh to throw it to somebody.
- 7:06Speaker 2: That's a tough secondary though, and that's a team in
- 7:08Speaker 2: Denver that's got everything to play for. You know, you
- 7:11Speaker 2: do you just roll the dice on Burden playing Why
- 7:12Speaker 2: don't you roll the dice? That's your best upside play
- 7:15Speaker 2: on Burden. But I don't know if he's playing.
- 7:18Speaker 3: I tested so bad. We may have to come back
- 7:20Speaker 3: with an.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Why don't you do Burden? And then if he's out,
- 7:24Speaker 2: you have Higgins.
- 7:25Speaker 3: As your fallback, all right, like because he was good,
- 7:28Speaker 3: he was so good last.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Week and it looked you got a quarterback Caleb Williams
- 7:34Speaker 2: only needs what to seventy? I think, Yeah, guys, that
- 7:41Speaker 2: four thousand yard demon. I'm going to come back with Harvey.
- 7:44Speaker 2: So I'll go with the running back out of Denver
- 7:46Speaker 2: in a game that they need to win to lock
- 7:47Speaker 2: up the number one. See my picks don't matter. It's
- 7:50Speaker 2: all Bunky versus Rhet here. So we've got Bucky is
- 7:54Speaker 2: going to roll out Loveland, Bill Uh Toikowsky, Merrit Uh Burden.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Rhet's got McMillan, Henderson, Gatston. It's good. It's a good
- 8:04Speaker 2: threesome there. But you got some ground to close, Buck,
- 8:06Speaker 2: But it's doable. We'll see if you if you can
- 8:09Speaker 2: reel down Rett Oh be a crusher if you caught
- 8:11Speaker 2: him here in the last week. By the way to
- 8:13Speaker 2: watch all these rookie sign up for NFL Plus Premium
- 8:15Speaker 2: and check out NFL Pro, where you can access over
- 8:17Speaker 2: ninety five unique player and team performance stats and the
- 8:21Speaker 2: All twenty two film available on desktop and on mobile web.
- 8:26Speaker 3: All right, Buck, let's take a quick break.
- 8:28Speaker 2: We come back. We'll look at some of these huge,
- 8:30Speaker 2: huge division matchups we've got here down the home stretch
- 8:34Speaker 2: in week number eighteen. All right, Buck, doesn't get bigger
- 8:42Speaker 2: than this. You've got division titles up for grabs here.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Let's start first of all Panthers, Bucks, that is four
- 8:49Speaker 2: thirty pm on ABC. What are you looking forward to
- 8:53Speaker 2: in that game? What's the key to the ballgame?
- 8:55Speaker 1: Man? The keys of the ball game is whiz version
- 8:57Speaker 1: of the pants is going to show up. This is
- 8:59Speaker 1: a team that has been up and down. They've taken
- 9:01Speaker 1: us on the roller coast of the entire season. Defense
- 9:04Speaker 1: is good enough to be able to get it done,
- 9:05Speaker 1: but they're gonna need their offense to show up because
- 9:08Speaker 1: I feel like Baker and the Buccaneers are going to
- 9:10Speaker 1: finally put some points on the board. To me, this
- 9:13Speaker 1: is a Bryce Young, Ted mcmilling game, t MAC game.
- 9:16Speaker 1: They got to find a way to connect on the
- 9:18Speaker 1: pass game, and then like they got to run the ball.
- 9:21Speaker 1: When they run the ball, everything flows from that. To me,
- 9:25Speaker 1: this is about their offense being able to control the game.
- 9:27Speaker 1: They got to run the ball, and they got to
- 9:28Speaker 1: hope that these Buccaneers bus coverages like they've been doing
- 9:31Speaker 1: the last few weeks, and maybe t Mac can hit
- 9:33Speaker 1: them over the top.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I think they're going to try and get their past
- 9:37Speaker 2: game going a little bit early and just trying to
- 9:38Speaker 2: get Bryce Young out of the funk he was in
- 9:40Speaker 2: against Seattle last week. So to me, on the Tampa
- 9:42Speaker 2: side of things, keep him him, then control your rush,
- 9:45Speaker 2: don't let him escape and create, make some things happen there,
- 9:48Speaker 2: make him throw out of that well. And then Baker's
- 9:50Speaker 2: got to just he's just got to make better decisions,
- 9:53Speaker 2: play smart, take what's there, don't be too greedy. I
- 9:55Speaker 2: don't think you need a bazillion points to win this game.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I think Baker's got to kind of play within himself.
- 10:00Speaker 2: First one to twenty one wins here in my opinion,
- 10:02Speaker 2: in this matchup between the Panthers and the Bucks. By
- 10:06Speaker 2: the way, in terms of what will happen here, Panthers,
- 10:08Speaker 2: they win the NFC South to make the playoffs with
- 10:10Speaker 2: the win. Even if the Panthers lose, they can also
- 10:13Speaker 2: cleanse the division if the Falcons win against the Saints.
- 10:17Speaker 2: So for the Bucks to win the division get in
- 10:19Speaker 2: the postseason, need to win this game against Carolina and
- 10:22Speaker 2: have the Falcons loser tie on Sunday against the Saints,
- 10:25Speaker 2: and that would get them the NFC South title and
- 10:28Speaker 2: they would get into the playoffs. All right, complic cases,
- 10:31Speaker 2: there's a lot of complicated. It's pretty easy. It's pretty
- 10:33Speaker 2: easy for Carolina. Just win and you're in. That's all.
- 10:36Speaker 2: That's the easy part. The game of the weekend is
- 10:40Speaker 2: going to follow that one eight pm Eastern on ABC.
- 10:42Speaker 2: That is the Seattle Seahawks traveling to take on the
- 10:45Speaker 2: forty nine ers.
- 10:46Speaker 3: But such a good game, such a great game.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Any of those NFL NFC West showdowns are terrific.
- 10:54Speaker 3: List takes.
- 10:54Speaker 1: The Niners approach man, Look, the Niners offense is on fire.
- 10:57Speaker 1: This is the best job that I've seen Kyle Shanahan do.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I think what he's been able to do with this
- 11:02Speaker 1: team is next level. Rock Crody is dealing like he
- 11:07Speaker 1: has just found his rhythm with this and the way
- 11:09Speaker 1: they are doing it like CMC is certainly the centerpiece,
- 11:13Speaker 1: but they're now beginning to get the production in the
- 11:15Speaker 1: passing game. Bricky Pearsall is coming on board, Jamon Jennings
- 11:19Speaker 1: is making plays a tight ends, just jumping in for
- 11:22Speaker 1: George Kill and finding ways to make plays. Tom just so,
- 11:25Speaker 1: just a really good team and a really good offense.
- 11:28Speaker 1: And I don't know if anybody can slow this team down.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I don't know if you can slow them down on offense.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Look, Seattle's defense has been fantastic. They were fantastic
- 11:36Speaker 2: last week against Carolina, suffocating Bryce young As I was
- 11:38Speaker 2: just talking about just the way San Francisco's offense is
- 11:42Speaker 2: playing right now. I cash, you got to get twenty eight,
- 11:45Speaker 2: I would say, I mean that sounds crazy as good
- 11:48Speaker 2: as Seattle's defense has been, but San francs is got
- 11:51Speaker 2: a punt the way that they've been homming along here.
- 11:54Speaker 2: So to me, Sam Darnold, there's opportunities. You saw it
- 11:56Speaker 2: in that secondary last week against the Bears. William's able
- 12:00Speaker 2: to get some things going. I think Sam has an
- 12:02Speaker 2: opportunity in this one. I know Sam's probably sitting there going, gosh,
- 12:05Speaker 2: could we ever get one of these you know end
- 12:08Speaker 2: of the year games at my place. You had to
- 12:09Speaker 2: go on the road last year in Detroit and then
- 12:11Speaker 2: turn around go on the playoffs, go on the road
- 12:13Speaker 2: against the Rams. He has the big come from behind
- 12:16Speaker 2: win over the Rams, you know, just a few weeks
- 12:18Speaker 2: ago in Seattle. But now, man, he's got to go
- 12:20Speaker 2: do it on the road again. But I would say
- 12:22Speaker 2: this is the most consequential game. I think if Seattle
- 12:25Speaker 2: can win this game, I think that's the greatest home
- 12:28Speaker 2: field that we have in this playoff field. It would
- 12:30Speaker 2: be Seattle hosting the NFC all the way through. That
- 12:33Speaker 2: is not an easy place to go, and I think
- 12:35Speaker 2: that is going to make them not only the number
- 12:37Speaker 2: one seed with a BUYE, but I think that makes
- 12:39Speaker 2: them the clear favorite for me in the NFC if
- 12:42Speaker 2: they can secure home field advantage.
- 12:44Speaker 1: And I think the Niners play would have leveled the
- 12:46Speaker 1: desperation because as a shorthanded team, being able to play
- 12:49Speaker 1: their games at home and get the buy significant advantage
- 12:53Speaker 1: because of it helped some of their guys get back
- 12:55Speaker 1: because they talked about free wan or potentially being able
- 12:57Speaker 1: to play if they played long enough in the postseason.
- 12:59Speaker 3: But George getting rested making sure CMC is ready to go.
- 13:02Speaker 1: And it's such a difference in having too to go
- 13:05Speaker 1: to the show than having to play that extra game.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I mean there's a real chance that the Niners win
- 13:13Speaker 2: and they have the number one seed lose, they could
- 13:16Speaker 2: end up being the sixth seed have to go to Philly.
- 13:19Speaker 2: I mean that is the difference. Yeah, and they don't
- 13:21Speaker 2: want those problems. I will Look, I'm gonna go with
- 13:25Speaker 2: the Niners. I just look, did just so hot. Now
- 13:27Speaker 2: they can't stop him. But they don't have to play
- 13:28Speaker 2: band but don't break good offense just maybe because it's
- 13:33Speaker 2: recency buys just watching them go up and down the field.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:38Speaker 2: No, Seattle defense is really good, though, Buck, I just
- 13:41Speaker 2: you know, they they're terrific.
- 13:42Speaker 3: I went back.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I went back and watched their Week one game, and
- 13:47Speaker 2: like they had seven explosives in the air. San Francisco
- 13:50Speaker 2: did with a lot of just deep, too high safeties
- 13:53Speaker 2: from Seattle. So they hit a slot seam, they sneak
- 13:58Speaker 2: U check down the sideline, they hit a whole versus that. Look,
- 14:01Speaker 2: they're running everybody out of there with those two deep safeties.
- 14:03Speaker 2: He checks one down to McCaffrey. I believe and he
- 14:06Speaker 2: goes and gets a bunch of yards, and then there
- 14:09Speaker 2: was a couple opportunities down the field where they hit
- 14:11Speaker 2: and then beat some man coverage on why am I
- 14:14Speaker 2: blinking on his name? Twenty seven? This huge corner for
- 14:17Speaker 2: Seattle is it Willah yeah three qualling, Thank you for requalling.
- 14:23Speaker 2: They beat him a cup pearsall got him a couple
- 14:25Speaker 2: of times the stutter go, and then beat him on
- 14:27Speaker 2: a seven rout, but they only had one explosive run.
- 14:30Speaker 2: They took the run away, and I would say Seattle's
- 14:33Speaker 2: defense has played a lot more snug coverage since then.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I don't think they're going to play quite as conservative,
- 14:39Speaker 2: you know, with their safeties. I think they can pull
- 14:42Speaker 2: those guys down a little closer to the line of scrimmage.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Eman Warre's is a big time difference maker the way
- 14:46Speaker 2: he's kind of evolved in that defense, so they I
- 14:49Speaker 2: think Seattle's defense is really really good. But like you,
- 14:52Speaker 2: I'm just it's hard to get what we've seen out
- 14:54Speaker 2: of San Francisco's forty nine or the San Francisco offense
- 14:57Speaker 2: out of my head. So I ended up going with
- 14:59Speaker 2: San franciscoing to a close game. But I think this is
- 15:01Speaker 2: like a twenty eight, now twenty four, thirty twenty seven.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I think it's going to be a good game.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Man.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Look, I think it's very similar to the Thursday night
- 15:09Speaker 1: game they played against the Rams. It's a back and
- 15:11Speaker 1: forth affair and it comes down to the end. It
- 15:14Speaker 1: comes down to who was able to win the fourth quarter. Look,
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm in on the Niners, but I wouldn't be surprised.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I will say this, Sam Donald's experienced last year should
- 15:26Speaker 1: help him play better this year. Down the street those
- 15:29Speaker 1: two games where he had to play like high end
- 15:34Speaker 1: games for the Vikings and it didn't go his way.
- 15:36Speaker 1: He'll be better prepared to handle depression. You know this,
- 15:39Speaker 1: having been able to playoff teams whatever, DJ, there's nothing
- 15:41Speaker 1: that gets you ready to play in the playoffs except
- 15:44Speaker 1: playoff game like you have to play in those games
- 15:47Speaker 1: to get used to the urgency and the intensity.
- 15:50Speaker 2: He'll be better prepared. I think he'll play much better
- 15:53Speaker 2: this time. Yeah, and look some of the stuff they
- 15:55Speaker 2: had success with swift on the ground last week the
- 15:57Speaker 2: Bears against that team, and you see Seattle do a
- 15:59Speaker 2: lot of this same thing as you'll see some cracked toss.
- 16:01Speaker 2: You'll see them get out to the perimeter a little bit,
- 16:04Speaker 2: so that'll be key. Get some balance to help Sam
- 16:06Speaker 2: Darnold out there.
- 16:07Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:08Speaker 2: The last one, it is the battle for the AFC North.
- 16:11Speaker 2: As we're recording this still not We don't know yet
- 16:14Speaker 2: if Lamar Jackson is going to start, but it looks
- 16:18Speaker 2: like he was practicing as of Wednesday. So we've got
- 16:21Speaker 2: the Ravens at the Steelers. That's eight twenty eastern on NBC.
- 16:24Speaker 2: The winner is going to clinch the division of the
- 16:27Speaker 2: number four seed. The loser is out, so it literally
- 16:30Speaker 2: is a loser leave town match.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, did you?
- 16:33Speaker 1: I think the best thing that happen to the Ravens
- 16:35Speaker 1: was playing without Lamar Jackson last week and being forced
- 16:39Speaker 1: to give the ball to Derrick Henry thirty six times.
- 16:42Speaker 3: To me, I think that is the epiphany that everyone
- 16:45Speaker 3: in the building.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Has to have, Like, you know what, guys, maybe we
- 16:48Speaker 1: should get back to the recipe that works for us,
- 16:50Speaker 1: and that's running the football. And even if Lamar Jackson plays,
- 16:53Speaker 1: running the football to sit the table should create some
- 16:57Speaker 1: big play opportunities. And going into this game, I think
- 17:00Speaker 1: if you're Baltimore, you have to say the magic number
- 17:02Speaker 1: is twenty one. You can't imagine the Pittsburgh still is
- 17:05Speaker 1: scoring more than twenty one points given what they're playing with.
- 17:09Speaker 1: So how can we manufacture twenty one points?
- 17:11Speaker 3: Man?
- 17:11Speaker 1: Run it, run it, run it, kick it every time
- 17:13Speaker 1: we have an opportunity, and just keep stacking points and
- 17:17Speaker 1: see if Aaron Rodgers and company are good enough to
- 17:20Speaker 1: match in point for point.
- 17:21Speaker 3: I just don't think they can do it.
- 17:23Speaker 2: If I'm Pittsburgh, if I'm Mike Tomlin, I'm talking to
- 17:26Speaker 2: my defense and special teams that I'm saying you got
- 17:29Speaker 2: to give us. You got to give us something in
- 17:30Speaker 2: this one. We need some short fields, you know, whether
- 17:33Speaker 2: that's a big kick return, we got to block a punt.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Are we gonna be able to get a sack fumble?
- 17:38Speaker 2: With our defensive front healthy and back put together, we
- 17:43Speaker 2: got to We've got to help our offense out here.
- 17:45Speaker 2: To me, that Darnault Washington loss is huge.
- 17:48Speaker 3: They're dead.
- 17:48Speaker 2: You bullies had two bullies on their teams, dk Metcalf
- 17:51Speaker 2: and him and they're both out. So that's a big
- 17:54Speaker 2: piece of their offensive identity. They have got to run
- 17:57Speaker 2: the ball. They've got to throw the ball to their backs.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Baldy said it when we're talking on Monday game. Well's
- 18:01Speaker 2: the best option right now. He's their winner. He's one
- 18:04Speaker 2: who can win one on one. So they've got to
- 18:07Speaker 2: do that. They've got to make kicks, and they have
- 18:09Speaker 2: to have their defense special teams help them out a
- 18:12Speaker 2: little bit here.
- 18:14Speaker 1: They Man, you talk about pulling out all the stops.
- 18:18Speaker 1: This is a trick play game. This is a fake
- 18:21Speaker 1: punt game. This is all hands on, Dick. Let's have
- 18:24Speaker 1: all of them ready because for them, they have to
- 18:26Speaker 1: manufacture points any way possible. They don't have the luxury
- 18:30Speaker 1: of being able to say, hey, we're gonna run it
- 18:32Speaker 1: down Baltimore's throater. We're gonna find a way for Aaron
- 18:34Speaker 1: Broders to dink and duck and carve them up resurgical precision.
- 18:38Speaker 1: This is one it's going to take, I would say
- 18:40Speaker 1: Mike Tomlin's best coaching job to be able to get
- 18:42Speaker 1: it done, because in my mind they're a heavy underdog
- 18:45Speaker 1: against the Baltimore Ravens with it without Lamar Jackson play.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 2: I just think though, man, if somehow they do win
- 18:51Speaker 2: and they get DK Metcalf back, it's going to be
- 18:55Speaker 2: more than likely you can get some bad weather in Pittsburgh,
- 18:57Speaker 2: They're gonna be hosting a game. It's one of those
- 18:59Speaker 2: deals to me, like, I could see Pittsburgh winning an
- 19:02Speaker 2: ugly game here and then people say, oh, their one,
- 19:05Speaker 2: and and then you don't want to go in there.
- 19:07Speaker 2: You don't want to go into Pittsburgh in the in
- 19:08Speaker 2: the in the weather. DK Metcalf back Aaron Rodgers has
- 19:12Speaker 2: some you know, as much experience and more experience than
- 19:14Speaker 2: anybody in the in the whole field. Might be able
- 19:15Speaker 2: to combine everybody in the field. They might have more
- 19:17Speaker 2: experience when you look at the landscape in the AFC
- 19:20Speaker 2: right now. Yeah, I think they're a dangerous team if
- 19:23Speaker 2: they can get by this week. This is a big
- 19:25Speaker 2: challenge for them. Yeah, And I would say the same
- 19:28Speaker 2: thing for Baltimore. Baltimore gets in the tournament, I think
- 19:30Speaker 2: they're dangerous in terms of being able to do this.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Hey, guys, it doesn't matter what the record is. Everyone
- 19:36Speaker 1: is owing up. Like we believe coming into the season
- 19:39Speaker 1: that we were a super Bowl team. We get a
- 19:41Speaker 1: chance to prove it all over again. They get the
- 19:43Speaker 1: benefit of a home game, They'll have played some meaningful
- 19:47Speaker 1: games getting ready to there would be a hardened sense
- 19:50Speaker 1: to them, and I think they get a chance to
- 19:52Speaker 1: edit the reset button and make of the season what
- 19:55Speaker 1: they want given this success in the postseason, so either.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Team can danger.
- 20:00Speaker 1: But man, I just see the Ravens and after watching
- 20:03Speaker 1: Dick Henry just run the football down there. Any look,
- 20:06Speaker 1: he's done it the last couple of weeks where you
- 20:07Speaker 1: just run the football down people's throats.
- 20:09Speaker 3: I am going to give it like it may be
- 20:11Speaker 3: a forty maybe a forty Krry game, DJ. It may
- 20:14Speaker 3: it may be one of those type games.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Where a dudejar on, we're gonna ride big feather, We're
- 20:19Speaker 1: gonna run him over and over and over again.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be fun. It's gonna be a physical affair,
- 20:24Speaker 2: and we can we can definitely agree one hundred percent
- 20:26Speaker 2: on that one. Anything else you want to add, Buck
- 20:28Speaker 2: before we get out of here on a quick, quick
- 20:30Speaker 2: little episode.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Man, nothing is better than getting ready for the postseason
- 20:35Speaker 1: and these games and the way the league has kind
- 20:37Speaker 1: of set it up where all these games are meaningful
- 20:40Speaker 1: to end it on a Sunday night, affair still is
- 20:44Speaker 1: in Ravens.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Loser lead town match.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I mean not in literally, DJ, We're talking about loser
- 20:51Speaker 1: leaving tally, maybe the.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Head coach might leave down all stakes robbery. Love it.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be fun weekend of football. Cannot wait.
- 21:04Speaker 2: We'll be back next week to wrap it all up
- 21:06Speaker 2: for you as well. We appreciate you guys hanging with us.
- 21:09Speaker 2: We will see you next time right here on moving sticks.
