- 0:50Speaker 3: it's going pretty well. How are you? I'm doing great.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I'm excited for our triumphant conclusion. It's been a ride
- 0:58Speaker 2: to these three movies that we did. Never did any
- 1:02Speaker 2: of them the first time.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Never did it. No, this is the first time we
- 1:05Speaker 3: did all three.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I love it. We're setting the timeline right.
- 1:11Speaker 3: I love that we had our Q and A with
- 1:13Speaker 3: our patrons and we were like, hey, can you check
- 1:15Speaker 3: and see if we did two and three, because we
- 1:17Speaker 3: don't know if we still that it looked.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I got a bunch of buttholes.
- 1:22Speaker 3: We're not great things, but it's fun. It's just it's
- 1:27Speaker 3: just a good time.
- 1:29Speaker 2: The This is like why we go to live theater.
- 1:31Speaker 2: You know. The mess ups are part of the joy.
- 1:35Speaker 3: They really are. We have people come up, we have
- 1:38Speaker 3: people come up at the home free shows and they're like,
- 1:40Speaker 3: remember when you messed up at the show, And it's.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Like people's favorite part. Yes, that's why I was a
- 1:48Speaker 2: renowned artist when I was still perform as. I messed
- 1:52Speaker 2: up all the time.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I should do that more.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Oh did I ever tell you as on stage?
- 2:02Speaker 3: You did not.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I'm sure I did at some point, but in a
- 2:05Speaker 2: show and it was actually a show that Elliott was
- 2:07Speaker 2: subbing for us.
- 2:08Speaker 3: This was a long time ago, A long time ago. Yeah,
- 2:11Speaker 3: And I was in my head.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I was gonna say, for those of you who saw
- 2:16Speaker 2: the last show, it was a blast or something, and
- 2:20Speaker 2: I was just I got all a little ahead of
- 2:22Speaker 2: myself and I was just like for those of you
- 2:24Speaker 2: who saw the last and I was like, well, I
- 2:27Speaker 2: well sorry, gang, Yeah, yeah, it was just so like
- 2:34Speaker 2: perfectly said. I couldn't I couldn't deny it even I
- 2:37Speaker 2: was just right. I said it. And I'm sorry to
- 2:40Speaker 2: all the fair goers here. I didn't mean to say it.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Right after that show, people were giggling away at me.
- 2:48Speaker 3: So, oh, I'm sure I screw up, you know, well,
- 2:51Speaker 3: especially when you swear at him like that.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Yeah, whoops, it was in Wisconsin. They're fine, Oh dude,
- 2:56Speaker 2: County Fair in Wisconsin. Oh, they didn't even know was
- 3:00Speaker 2: a swear for sure. That's that's a g rated, g rated.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I said that to the butter sculpture gal two minutes ago.
- 3:09Speaker 3: What is this?
- 3:11Speaker 2: No, it's butter, sir. Rob Have you been watching a
- 3:14Speaker 2: movie lately?
- 3:16Speaker 3: I have. I've been watching a movie. And the movie
- 3:20Speaker 3: that I did watch a few weeks ago. Now, I
- 3:24Speaker 3: went to the Theata, the Theata and I went and
- 3:28Speaker 3: saw the dark comedy Friendship. I know, I told you
- 3:31Speaker 3: I saw.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I hadn't.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I hadn't told the folks yet.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Tell me everything.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Did you watch it yet?
- 3:38Speaker 4: No?
- 3:38Speaker 2: I haven't seen it yet. Okay, this weekend I want
- 3:42Speaker 2: you to for sure.
- 3:43Speaker 3: So this is the film. It's an a twenty four film.
- 3:46Speaker 3: It features Tim Robinson, Paul Rudd, and Kate Mara. Those
- 3:51Speaker 3: are like the three kind of main Folko names. Yeah,
- 3:55Speaker 3: and I was shocked that it wasn't written by Tim
- 3:58Speaker 3: Robinson because it seems like a long episode of I
- 4:02Speaker 3: think you should leave his show. But Andrew de Young
- 4:07Speaker 3: is his name. He's the writer and director really wrote
- 4:12Speaker 3: in Tim Robinson's voice. It was incredible. The dark comedy
- 4:18Speaker 3: as a whole is not my favorite genre in the world.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I know that about you, yep, but I did.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Enjoy this one. Cool. There are some cringey things that
- 4:27Speaker 3: are tough to watch, but that is to be expected
- 4:29Speaker 3: when you're watching a Tim Robinson vehicle big time. And
- 4:34Speaker 3: it was a different role for Paul Rudd. Hadn't really
- 4:37Speaker 3: seen him in it. It was a weird one for him.
- 4:40Speaker 3: He was good in it, but it was an interesting
- 4:43Speaker 3: role for him.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Cool.
- 4:46Speaker 3: But yeah, I enjoyed it. But like a lot of
- 4:49Speaker 3: eight twenty four films, it won't be for everyone. Yeah,
- 4:53Speaker 3: but I did like it. I don't know that you
- 4:55Speaker 3: got to go run out to the theater to see it.
- 4:57Speaker 3: But when it comes out stream and I check it.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Out, did you have like any big laugh moments?
- 5:03Speaker 3: I did? I have a couple that's great.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I feel like he's very He's very funny in general,
- 5:08Speaker 2: but he's also so good at that. Like, yeah, partly
- 5:11Speaker 2: because he will take wild swings and so the biggest
- 5:15Speaker 2: Every once in a while he gets a hold of one,
- 5:17Speaker 2: you know, just out of here. That's cool. Nice. Yeah,
- 5:21Speaker 2: I definitely want to see that. I'd like to see
- 5:23Speaker 2: it with people. I feel like it'd be bore fun.
- 5:25Speaker 3: It might be more fun with people. I was definitely
- 5:26Speaker 3: by myself. Were you in the middle of a you know,
- 5:29Speaker 3: it was like the middle of a nice day outside.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Nobody was there. Absolutely, it was interesting, but it was funny.
- 5:39Speaker 3: There were a few older people, and the stuff they
- 5:42Speaker 3: were laughing at was making me laugh.
- 5:45Speaker 2: That's always fun. I like that, like a meta laughter.
- 5:48Speaker 2: That's great.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Yeah, what about you? What was the last movie you watch?
- 5:52Speaker 3: I also went to the theater the theater you're saying, ah.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Yes, and I saw a ballerina the I guess it's
- 6:01Speaker 2: just in the universe of the John Wick films because
- 6:04Speaker 2: it's a I think it's a prequel, right, a few
- 6:08Speaker 2: of them.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Anyway, was it between three and four men?
- 6:12Speaker 2: I think that's right. I think that's right. Really fun.
- 6:16Speaker 2: An to Armis is just a badass in this movie,
- 6:20Speaker 2: which is so fun. I feel like we've seen her
- 6:22Speaker 2: do stunts and stuff before, obviously, but yeah, she got
- 6:25Speaker 2: to do a lot of them in this movie and.
- 6:27Speaker 3: That was fun.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Uh, and then we just see a bunch of other
- 6:32Speaker 2: people who are really fun. Ian McShane is in it,
- 6:35Speaker 2: of course. Angelica used to Oh sure, so we get
- 6:39Speaker 2: to see like that world. You know, there's crossing paths
- 6:43Speaker 2: with other people in that world. Who's the other dude? Oh,
- 6:47Speaker 2: Norman Retis plays a pretty big part in it, which
- 6:49Speaker 2: is fun. Cool things. Yeah, for sure, walking dead, but yeah,
- 6:55Speaker 2: it's a It was a good time. It very much
- 6:58Speaker 2: fit into that universe. It was an interesting, you know,
- 7:01Speaker 2: sort of side story within that universe, and I had
- 7:04Speaker 2: a good time. I thought it was really cool, and
- 7:06Speaker 2: they did some cool things with the shots, of course,
- 7:08Speaker 2: and yeah, it was still fun. If you like that
- 7:12Speaker 2: sort of like very pretty action scene kind of stuff,
- 7:16Speaker 2: you're gonna enjoy this movie. It's a good time, it's interesting,
- 7:19Speaker 2: and and there's some new ground that they cover, so it's.
- 7:22Speaker 3: By that same it was. The director of the Wick
- 7:26Speaker 3: films was Chad Stahelski.
- 7:28Speaker 2: No Len Wiseman, Okay, but.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Yeah, his only four credits were the John Wick films.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Oh that's funny. Interesting, I thought was fun. Yeah. Len
- 7:42Speaker 2: appears to have been part of the Underworld series and
- 7:46Speaker 2: one of those. But yeah, he's done a few he's
- 7:51Speaker 2: directed a few things, he's written a few things.
- 7:54Speaker 3: He likes a strong female lead, bigly big le.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Yes.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 8:02Speaker 2: So it was interesting. It's I don't think you really
- 8:05Speaker 2: need to see that one in the theater. I guess
- 8:08Speaker 2: it's a big sound so I still like that's true.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Maybe you should see it in the theater with the
- 8:12Speaker 2: sound and everything. But it was fun. I really had
- 8:14Speaker 2: a good time. If you're looking for like a it's
- 8:17Speaker 2: too hot out, I need to go to a movie theater,
- 8:19Speaker 2: or it's raining or something, that's a good one to
- 8:21Speaker 2: pick if you just want to kind of be like, yeah,
- 8:23Speaker 2: I'm just gonna enjoy this. I don't need to like
- 8:26Speaker 2: pay super close attention or anything, you know what I mean.
- 8:29Speaker 2: It's a good time. Yeah, I liked it cool.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Have you been streaming things? Yes? Today, this very day,
- 8:36Speaker 3: I finished the second season of Andor on Disney Plus.
- 8:40Speaker 3: So fun.
- 8:41Speaker 2: What'd you think? I still haven't seen this?
- 8:43Speaker 3: You haven't? Now? Trying to watch the Rebels before I start.
- 8:48Speaker 2: All these things, and that just I'm not watching any
- 8:51Speaker 2: of it. Yeah, I'm like halfway done with Rebels.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Now, oh, so you'll watch this in a few.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Years unless I just, you know, go crazy like I
- 9:01Speaker 2: did with Clone Wars. But anyway, tell me and or
- 9:04Speaker 2: season two? What do you think?
- 9:06Speaker 3: So the first season, it took me a while to
- 9:08Speaker 3: get into it, and honestly, I kind of felt the
- 9:12Speaker 3: same way about this season, Tim Faust, like loved this
- 9:17Speaker 3: season from the very beginning.
- 9:19Speaker 2: I feel like the people.
- 9:20Speaker 3: It hit it hit hard, it hit hard. It did
- 9:23Speaker 3: take me a second to get into it. A lot
- 9:26Speaker 3: of the like political upheaval stuff.
- 9:30Speaker 2: It's not the same about season one, So I'm with you. Yeah, yeah, so.
- 9:34Speaker 3: That stuff wasn't I wasn't as into But like the
- 9:40Speaker 3: first season, once it hits a certain point, then it's like, oh,
- 9:44Speaker 3: this is awesome cool, So I was glad I was
- 9:47Speaker 3: stuck with it. Diego, Luna and Adria Rhona are awesome.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Stellan scars Guard is great, although he has a lot
- 9:58Speaker 3: of that political storyline and the first like five episodes.
- 10:01Speaker 3: But yeah, and what's so fun about this is that
- 10:07Speaker 3: it ramps right up into Rogue one. I'm sure you've
- 10:10Speaker 3: heard this.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I have, and I can't wait to watch them all
- 10:13Speaker 2: back to back to back.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Well, dude, because I know that's your favorite of the
- 10:17Speaker 3: Star Wars films. So you're just gonna love what they
- 10:22Speaker 3: end up doing in this season.
- 10:23Speaker 2: You're gonna love it. I can't Yeah, I can't wait.
- 10:25Speaker 2: It's gonna be so great.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Yeah, so it was. It was a longer season. It
- 10:30Speaker 3: was like twelve episodes, So it did take me to
- 10:33Speaker 3: get through.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Yeah, like, that's not what we're doing.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Usually, if you can get to ten, that's usually a lot.
- 10:41Speaker 3: I feel like a lot of them are eight right now.
- 10:43Speaker 3: So twelve episodes. They really went for it.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Nice.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Yeah, what about you?
- 10:49Speaker 2: I streamed on Oh boy, I should have wrote down
- 10:52Speaker 2: the service. Hold On, hold On, hold On. It's on
- 10:54Speaker 2: Hulu twenty eight weeks later.
- 11:00Speaker 3: And you had just talked to me about twenty eight days.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I know later, twenty eight days way different. I keep
- 11:08Speaker 2: getting hurt by that.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm ready for twenty eight years.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Later that I will hopefully see in the theater at
- 11:15Speaker 2: some point. Find out. But this is the follow up
- 11:19Speaker 2: to twenty eight days later. It's a same universe, but
- 11:25Speaker 2: not you know, the same characters and things. Zombie outbreak
- 11:30Speaker 2: or I guess technically rage virus not zombies, which.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Is yeah, I just heard that on something.
- 11:35Speaker 2: It's a strange delineation, but they seem to think it's important.
- 11:39Speaker 2: The cast for this one was stacked. I mean, Killy
- 11:43Speaker 2: Murphy was in the last one and he's amazing as
- 11:46Speaker 2: well as.
- 11:47Speaker 5: He was at that point, yeah, as well as our
- 11:51Speaker 5: guy Gleason, Brendan Glees then, yes, but in this one
- 11:57Speaker 5: we've got Jeremy Renner, We've got Rose Burns.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Who else?
- 12:03Speaker 3: Oh you DRIs elba.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I was like there was one more that was real big,
- 12:07Speaker 2: and then a bunch of people that you definitely know,
- 12:09Speaker 2: like Imaging Poots is in this one. Yeah, but she's
- 12:13Speaker 2: like a teenager in this, so that was kind of fun.
- 12:15Speaker 2: It must have been one of her early films for sure.
- 12:18Speaker 2: But yeah, a really interesting, interesting movie. It's about a
- 12:23Speaker 2: I kind of like this timeframe when it comes to
- 12:26Speaker 2: zombie movies more where it's like we've you know, we
- 12:29Speaker 2: haven't taken care of it, but we've definitely like started
- 12:32Speaker 2: rebuilding society a little bit, and there's stuff like that
- 12:36Speaker 2: that's happening in it. So it's a good time. It
- 12:39Speaker 2: is definitely gory. They didn't do the Camquarder thing that
- 12:44Speaker 2: they did in twenty eight days later. So okay, it
- 12:46Speaker 2: looks better yet bit more Yeah, yeah, big time, a
- 12:50Speaker 2: lot more, I think, but it does some really cool stuff.
- 12:54Speaker 2: They take some big swings. It's pretty fun. I really
- 12:57Speaker 2: enjoyed it, to be honest, so I liked it. I
- 13:01Speaker 2: think it was by different writers and director than the
- 13:04Speaker 2: first because the first one was le and Garland. We learned, right, yeah,
- 13:08Speaker 2: just recently. This one is Juan Carlos Frez Nadillo. I
- 13:16Speaker 2: don't know him, but he did this and it was
- 13:19Speaker 2: really good. So I'm excited to see the new one now.
- 13:22Speaker 2: I'm ready, ready to be ready.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Nice.
- 13:25Speaker 2: That's kind of all I got. If you like horror films,
- 13:27Speaker 2: I think you'll enjoy this. It's it's really well done.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Nice. Yeah.
- 13:31Speaker 2: What do you think should do for you? Plugs?
- 13:33Speaker 3: Yes?

- 14:54Speaker 3: we got good ones.
- 14:55Speaker 2: It just yeah, it just it was harder to look

- 15:25Speaker 3: had to get a couple of dudes we really love there.
- 15:29Speaker 3: They oddly they live in the East, but they are
- 15:32Speaker 3: Westerners at heart.
- 15:34Speaker 2: I guess I don't.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Know Midwesterners anyway.
- 15:37Speaker 2: We call the mad Dog from time to time. You know,
- 15:41Speaker 2: they love clock towers.
- 15:44Speaker 3: They hate manure. They hate manure. Well, one of them
- 15:47Speaker 3: is kind of likes it, and he's a little partially.
- 15:50Speaker 2: It's a problem. It's a problem. But let's welcoming back
- 15:54Speaker 2: to the pot. It's Benny Ellige and Adam Renegade Wilson.
- 15:59Speaker 3: What's up, guy up? So good to see your faces.
- 16:06Speaker 6: Really nice to be back. Very handsome for you listeners.
- 16:12Speaker 6: They look very handsome.
- 16:14Speaker 2: We do.
- 16:14Speaker 3: He's right.
- 16:15Speaker 6: This is an audio is an audio medium, so of
- 16:17Speaker 6: course you can't see any of us.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you are looking good.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Look stupid, don't you say that about my friend?
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you look wonderful.
- 16:29Speaker 3: You looks all right.
- 16:30Speaker 2: He looks all right, I feel like your beard is
- 16:33Speaker 2: fuller than I've seen it normally. Is that true? Just
- 16:38Speaker 2: so you know his beard is a little.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Fuller than normal.
- 16:40Speaker 6: It's an audio medium.
- 16:43Speaker 3: It's beautiful the summer, you know.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you're like just in time for the heat. Way,
- 16:52Speaker 2: what was the how you guys doing hot enough.

- 17:35Speaker 2: You're going to have a nice little weekend.
- 17:38Speaker 6: Get ready, tell me tell me Minnesotan's are running this
- 17:42Speaker 6: podcast without tell.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Oh sure, Oh dude, we had to stop. Like every
- 17:48Speaker 3: intro we'd always just talk about how nice it was outside,
- 17:52Speaker 3: and nobody cares like we got we gotta stop it.
- 17:56Speaker 6: Every time I've always told Stephanie this, and every time
- 18:00Speaker 6: in Minnesota, the amount it comes up is so hysterical. Yeah,
- 18:05Speaker 6: when we're when we're facetiming my parents, well even on
- 18:09Speaker 6: FaceTime we do the Minnesota goodbye, I'll be like, well,
- 18:13Speaker 6: all right, I guess we'll talk to my Mom's like
- 18:15Speaker 6: oh yeah, great, so boy, it's been so hot here.
- 18:19Speaker 6: What's he doing out there? And we're still talking.
- 18:21Speaker 3: We're still going, Okay, you know.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Who I saw today at the store.
- 18:26Speaker 7: I'm like after after, like my fourth whelp, welp, Mom,
- 18:31Speaker 7: I can't hit my thighs and say, well, they're bruised.
- 18:40Speaker 2: I love it. Uh, well, you guys know these cats.
- 18:44Speaker 2: It's Benny Elige and Adam Renegade Wilson. I don't think
- 18:48Speaker 2: we have any plugs today. So what do you guys think?
- 18:50Speaker 2: Should we just get right into it?
- 18:51Speaker 6: Let's do it, Let's do very excited love it too.
- 18:55Speaker 2: That's with a rough synopses.
- 18:57Speaker 3: In this final chapter, Martin Fly obtains a seventy year
- 19:01Speaker 3: old message from the time traveling doctor Emmett Brown, in
- 19:05Speaker 3: which he informs Marty that he has retired to a
- 19:07Speaker 3: small town in the old West. Marty then finds out
- 19:11Speaker 3: that the doc was murdered shortly after sending the letter.
- 19:14Speaker 3: In order to save his friend, Marty will have to
- 19:17Speaker 3: travel back in time, disentangle a love struck doc from
- 19:21Speaker 3: a local school marm, and repair the Dolorean, all while
- 19:26Speaker 3: avoiding a posse of gunslingers.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Nice wistly done. We dropped a school marm in there.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Yeah. I was like, is that a word? Yeah, this
- 19:37Speaker 3: is what it says, school marm. Cool.
- 19:41Speaker 2: You did great, you did great. Thanks go to Rotten
- 19:43Speaker 2: Tottles near what they have to say. Critics have this
- 19:46Speaker 2: coming in at a pretty solid seventy nine. Okay, that's
- 19:49Speaker 2: pretty good.
- 19:50Speaker 3: I'll take it.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Totally better than the second one.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Yeah, the second one was in the sixties, but the
- 19:56Speaker 3: first one was a high nineties.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Yeah one is a masterpiece. Yeah, it's perfect, it's perfect.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Audience members were pretty much right on the same page.
- 20:05Speaker 2: They had it just a ticklower at seventy eight percent.
- 20:08Speaker 2: So pretty good. I don't like it, but pretty good,
- 20:12Speaker 2: pretty good. I think it's time to hear what we
- 20:14Speaker 2: think though. Should we go into our hot take?
- 20:17Speaker 3: Hot take? Oh, that's a hot take. That's a hot take.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Spicy, Oh, ouch, it's I'm very hot take nice nice.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I didn't really everyone who's the audio audio medium? Oh
- 20:39Speaker 2: my god, that man got burned. What an actor. I'll
- 20:45Speaker 2: go first on this one. I love this movie a lot.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I understand that the first one is better. This one
- 20:51Speaker 2: might be my favorite. I don't know why. I love
- 20:54Speaker 2: the Old West setting. I think it's really fun. It's
- 20:57Speaker 2: a super like fun, you know, put a bow on
- 21:01Speaker 2: the end of this trilogy. I really enjoy it. The
- 21:03Speaker 2: music is great. There's like maybe because there's more insidey
- 21:07Speaker 2: jokes in this one. I like that. It's it's pretty nice.
- 21:11Speaker 2: The love story was way better than I remembered, which
- 21:14Speaker 2: I love. So fun and yeah, I'm generally speaking. I
- 21:20Speaker 2: just think this one continues with all the good parts
- 21:22Speaker 2: of the first two and then just puts a nice, little,
- 21:25Speaker 2: nice little wrap up on the whole thing in a
- 21:28Speaker 2: delicious little setting. I think it's wonderful.
- 21:32Speaker 3: I really like it.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Yes, but my hottest take is hot take. Unless it
- 21:37Speaker 2: is imperative to do so. For time travel, there's no
- 21:42Speaker 2: reason we should be driving at walls all the time.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Every time we're driving at walls, we drive towards the
- 21:49Speaker 2: screen of the theater. For he goes, he's like, what,
- 21:53Speaker 2: we picked this spot out here, which is Monument Valley
- 21:56Speaker 2: by the way in Arizona or well, it's part of
- 21:59Speaker 2: the Navajo Nation and it's beautiful, so go there if
- 22:01Speaker 2: you've never been there. You can also do the Forest Gump.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Isn't that the Forest Gump running last year?
- 22:07Speaker 2: That's where all that stuff was filmed, which I forgot,
- 22:10Speaker 2: which was super pretty. But they were like, we picked
- 22:12Speaker 2: this because it's wide open, there won't be any buildings.
- 22:16Speaker 2: We are still going to drive right towards this movie
- 22:19Speaker 2: screen here, so don't worry about it. And then also
- 22:23Speaker 2: we're just gonna we're gonna make it, so we drive
- 22:25Speaker 2: at the thing that says end of track. Let's not
- 22:28Speaker 2: disassemble that, so we don't maybe run into this, but
- 22:32Speaker 2: we just gotta we gotta stop driving at walls.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I don't understand the one in the fifties though, it
- 22:38Speaker 3: was going towards the theater, and now they're going towards
- 22:41Speaker 3: the drive in theater, so they kept trying to that.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Honestly, probably film is the future or something. There's probably
- 22:48Speaker 2: some silly thing. But also we didn't have to drive
- 22:51Speaker 2: at the theater.
- 22:52Speaker 3: We didn't. We didn't we do it. No, it's just
- 22:54Speaker 3: the thing they did.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's pretty fun. That was as close as
- 22:57Speaker 2: I could get to a hot take. I don't know.
- 22:59Speaker 6: I mean, I the fifty five ones kind of justified
- 23:02Speaker 6: because they need to set up the thing for the
- 23:04Speaker 6: hook to Hitler. Yep, so that is justified. But you're
- 23:09Speaker 6: right in this one. Why not just start behind the
- 23:12Speaker 6: screen and go out into the field where you're gonna
- 23:13Speaker 6: be driving anyway?
- 23:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I did that part.
- 23:16Speaker 6: I was very confused, just in case something. It's also
- 23:19Speaker 6: one of those movie things where I'm like, he's driving
- 23:20Speaker 6: for like thirty seconds it feels like and I'm like,
- 23:23Speaker 6: it's like one hundred feet away.
- 23:24Speaker 2: From that thing. Yeah, he would long enough.
- 23:27Speaker 6: When he hit like thirty eight, he would have plowed
- 23:29Speaker 6: through that.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Especially on gravel too, it's gonna take him a second.
- 23:34Speaker 6: Don't know what the zero to sixty und Dolaurian is,
- 23:36Speaker 6: but I'm sure it's more than like one hundred feet.
- 23:38Speaker 3: They needed that shot though, of the native man that is,
- 23:42Speaker 3: and it's.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Worth ut for that, I guess. But yeah, I just
- 23:47Speaker 2: thought that was funny.
- 23:47Speaker 3: That is funny. It's funny. I loved this movie as
- 23:53Speaker 3: a kid. This was my favorite of the three growing up,
- 23:56Speaker 3: but I just watched it the most. I was six
- 24:01Speaker 3: or seven when this came out. So but yeah, I mean,
- 24:05Speaker 3: after rewatching these three films, the first one is the best.
- 24:09Speaker 6: Eighty nine r.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Later but then shot him like back to back, right, Yeah,
- 24:16Speaker 4: so two was eighty nine, this is ninety.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Yep, he is right.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Eighty five yeap.
- 24:23Speaker 3: First one was eighty five, same year I was born. Oh,
- 24:25Speaker 3: we didn't tell these guys so really smart. We were like,
- 24:29Speaker 3: let's do let's do all three of these films because
- 24:33Speaker 3: the first and third ones are having big anniversaries. We realized, well,
- 24:37Speaker 3: we didn't realize. Our guests that we had on brought
- 24:41Speaker 3: it to our attention like five seconds before we were
- 24:44Speaker 3: going to record that we had done an episode on
- 24:47Speaker 3: Back to the Future five years ago. Dukes and I
- 24:52Speaker 3: didn't remember doing the episode at all, not even a little.
- 24:57Speaker 3: So we we reach we felt, yeah we did outlines.
- 25:03Speaker 3: We watched it.
- 25:04Speaker 2: But we just in this movie. I was smart.
- 25:08Speaker 3: It was really really smart. But yeah, we just did.
- 25:12Speaker 3: We just talked about how dumb we were for like
- 25:14Speaker 3: fifteen minutes, and then we re released the first. First time,
- 25:19Speaker 3: we did it five years ago.
- 25:20Speaker 6: It's honestly, it's an important enough movie that I think
- 25:24Speaker 6: doing it twice is probably justified. Have you done the
- 25:27Speaker 6: second one?
- 25:28Speaker 3: We yep, we did this one. Yep.
- 25:30Speaker 2: We didn't double check. We hadn't done that in the past,
- 25:33Speaker 2: but it turns out we didn't.
- 25:34Speaker 3: We just good, it's going to do this one. So
- 25:38Speaker 3: but yeah, this movie part three, it's the one that
- 25:41Speaker 3: gives me the most nostalgic because I watched it a
- 25:43Speaker 3: lot when I was Yeah. So again. This was written
- 25:47Speaker 3: by Bob Galeen Robert Semechis, with Mechas directing and Spielberg producing.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Pretty impressive. I thought the cast was great again, and
- 25:56Speaker 3: we added Mary Steinbergen, who's such a delight.
- 26:00Speaker 2: She'll be coming up later. Oh yeah, the best for sure.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Alan Silvestry's score is still awesome, and I especially loved
- 26:07Speaker 3: how when Marty first gets to the Old West, the
- 26:10Speaker 3: main theme was done with like a harmonica, and they
- 26:13Speaker 3: made it sound old timy podcast. It's good. It was
- 26:19Speaker 3: fun to have the doc kind of be the main
- 26:21Speaker 3: character in this one, and Marty got to be second fiddle.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I enjoyed that.
- 26:27Speaker 3: I loved how they set up the bits from the
- 26:29Speaker 3: first ones, and they kept coming back, especially the manure bit.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Love it really, but yeah, not a whole lot to add.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I really enjoyed revisiting this trilogy and talking about it
- 26:39Speaker 3: with you guys. Hot take. Doc is a much better
- 26:45Speaker 3: romantic partner than Marty. Marty's the worst. Yes, you're right,
- 26:50Speaker 3: leave her, just leaves her on them.
- 26:52Speaker 6: I would venture to say, this is the first time
- 26:55Speaker 6: in the whole trilogy we have like a real love
- 26:58Speaker 6: connect because Jennifer, you know, it is barely part of it.
- 27:02Speaker 6: They have these little moments, and but this is like
- 27:05Speaker 6: a real, a real relationship. No, I was going to
- 27:10Speaker 6: bring up in mind, but sure.
- 27:13Speaker 4: The storyline with with Jennifer is they just kick it,
- 27:17Speaker 4: like literally in the second one, her storyline is.
- 27:20Speaker 3: We're going to leave her in an alley.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Yeah she'll be fine, really tough, insane, Yeah, Like why not?
- 27:28Speaker 2: Why can't she just be in the car with Doc
- 27:30Speaker 2: wherever where's he going?
- 27:34Speaker 4: She can't be a part of this adventure to take
- 27:38Speaker 4: her somewhere else in our sex place like in Minority
- 27:42Speaker 4: Report or something in the future.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Like he's like, Jennifer us to stay here in the
- 27:46Speaker 2: alley business.
- 27:49Speaker 6: She's like, just leave her in the car or take
- 27:54Speaker 6: literally literally no time and drive her back to the
- 27:58Speaker 6: past real quick and come back because you this same second.
- 28:04Speaker 3: So I don't know a hotel room. I don't get a.
- 28:08Speaker 6: Hotel like do something in the alleyway. Come on, man,
- 28:13Speaker 6: this is the pod for next Future three. Everyone, this
- 28:16Speaker 6: is part three. We won't nit pick number two.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that was my hottest take for game.
- 28:22Speaker 4: This is a good intro because literally my hot take
- 28:24Speaker 4: is three is better than two.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Oh well, that was true. That's for sure true.
- 28:29Speaker 4: And apparently it's not a hot take because everyone agrees.
- 28:33Speaker 4: I just think two is just a little more messy.
- 28:36Speaker 4: They're going into the future, going in the past. They're
- 28:38Speaker 4: overlapping with the first ball. And again I had a
- 28:41Speaker 4: big note about just leaving her in the alley, and
- 28:45Speaker 4: we talked.
- 28:45Speaker 6: About earlier the Crispin Glover thing. I think they pivot
- 28:50Speaker 6: their story because dropping out and.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Dude, the fact that they like did a cast of
- 28:57Speaker 3: Crispin Glover's face and they put it on This guy's
- 29:00Speaker 3: really messed.
- 29:01Speaker 6: I was going to bring this up later, but you
- 29:03Speaker 6: know that that he ended up suing them, right, Yeah,
- 29:07Speaker 6: actually it ignited a whole change in SAG and this
- 29:10Speaker 6: huge rules about Sag kind of almost like a pre
- 29:15Speaker 6: AI thing where yeah, totally you kind of have rights
- 29:18Speaker 6: to the character you created, so he got like some
- 29:21Speaker 6: backbay I think for that.
- 29:22Speaker 3: He did know he got almost a million dollars for it.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Yeah, but like looking like a true SAG guy.
- 29:29Speaker 2: It's just crazy.
- 29:30Speaker 3: I think we could do that though, Like we're just
- 29:33Speaker 3: gonna do a mold of his face and there's somebody
- 29:36Speaker 3: else that's mess anyway.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Well, I like, I just like that this movie is
- 29:41Speaker 4: just so linear. It's like like he's you're trapped at
- 29:46Speaker 4: eighteen eighty five. Yeah, we need to figure out how
- 29:48Speaker 4: to get this DeLorean to the speed to get us
- 29:53Speaker 4: out of here. And I don't know, I just like
- 29:56Speaker 4: that they don't try.
- 29:57Speaker 3: To do anything too much.
- 29:58Speaker 4: It gets all slow in the middle at times, but
- 30:03Speaker 4: we'll get into it later. But like, I mean, I
- 30:06Speaker 4: think the horror scene at the end the train is
- 30:09Speaker 4: one of the greatest case.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Just I also just love the doc is just like
- 30:17Speaker 3: like I kind of.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Like it here.
- 30:19Speaker 4: It's fine, like don't come back for me, it's pretty cool.
- 30:23Speaker 4: At five, I'm good. Don't come back it's.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Just kind of good at everything. He's really great. Yeah.
- 30:29Speaker 2: I love that.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Yeah, he just excels in every era, it doesn't matter.
- 30:34Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 30:35Speaker 2: It's genius.
- 30:37Speaker 6: I I also love this movie so much. It's hard
- 30:43Speaker 6: for me to say, like the first one is my
- 30:45Speaker 6: favorite because I think it's perfect.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:49Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure they use it in film schools as
- 30:52Speaker 6: a script example for writing classes because it's considered like
- 30:56Speaker 6: perfect script. But I also we had all of these
- 31:01Speaker 6: movies on VHS, so I love them all pretty equally.
- 31:06Speaker 6: But I've heard so many times over the years, like
- 31:08Speaker 6: people crapping on this one, and I have no idea.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Why, because not only do I think.
- 31:14Speaker 6: This is a great idea for their to round out
- 31:17Speaker 6: their trilogy, but it's just a straight up like good Western.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:21Speaker 6: They were just like made a legit Western, and obviously
- 31:24Speaker 6: it has this sprinkling of sci fi in it, but
- 31:28Speaker 6: it's great. All the horsework, all the fighting and chasing
- 31:32Speaker 6: and is so is so great. The music. I know
- 31:37Speaker 6: he once talked about it, but like very Aaron Copeland,
- 31:41Speaker 6: if anyone knew it was like the first like American composer,
- 31:44Speaker 6: classical composer, and he who gave us that Western sound
- 31:48Speaker 6: like the the Beef, It's What's for Dinner music, right,
- 31:53Speaker 6: But in this one, it's so good, it's wonderful.
- 32:01Speaker 2: My hot take, oo yes, is a little controversial. Well,
- 32:06Speaker 2: it's not controversial, but my hot take debatable. It's debatable,
- 32:11Speaker 2: but I don't really think it is. It's my hot
- 32:13Speaker 2: take is that the main conflict and plot of this
- 32:17Speaker 2: movie is not really a conflict because there's a massive
- 32:23Speaker 2: plot hole that I think no one's ever thought of.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Maybe they have, maybe not. Okay, real, I'm gonna do
- 32:30Speaker 3: this quick, all right.
- 32:31Speaker 6: So, as we know, at the end of two, they're
- 32:35Speaker 6: chasing Biff, right, Doc gets sapped by lightning. He's gone, right,
- 32:39Speaker 6: then the dude shows up with the letter blah blah blah.
- 32:42Speaker 6: Beginning of three, we learned that Doc got sent back
- 32:46Speaker 6: to eighteen and eighty five. This part was broken that
- 32:48Speaker 6: he couldn't fix. So he's stuck there. And he's like,
- 32:53Speaker 6: I've stored the car in this abandoned mine, so you're
- 32:56Speaker 6: gonna have to dig it out, and my nineteen fifty
- 32:59Speaker 6: five verse and will help you so you can get
- 33:02Speaker 6: back to nineteen eighty five. We're all in agreement. There right,
- 33:06Speaker 6: all right, so they fix it. Marty goes back to
- 33:10Speaker 6: eighteen eighty five to get Doc. He rips the fuel
- 33:13Speaker 6: line so they don't have any gas, and that is
- 33:17Speaker 6: the reason they can't get back, because they don't have gas.
- 33:20Speaker 6: They have mister fusion. They can power the flex capacitor.
- 33:24Speaker 6: Gas is the problem. Here's where my problem is. There
- 33:28Speaker 6: is a DeLorean in nineteen eighty five. The DeLorean that
- 33:32Speaker 6: he buried in the mind that Marty is driving is
- 33:35Speaker 6: there and it's only been there for three months. The
- 33:41Speaker 6: DeLorean that Doc got to.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Eighteen eighty five with yeah put in the mind, it
- 33:46Speaker 2: is there in eighteen eighty five.
- 33:48Speaker 4: Because of the audio medium, Us and Robbie's spaces are
- 33:52Speaker 4: blank right now.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Comprehending somber back to the future two. When Marty goes
- 34:00Speaker 2: back to that five, Dot's like, remember, there's two of
- 34:02Speaker 2: you here, so you have to be careful. There's two
- 34:06Speaker 2: Deloreans in eighteen eighty five, and the other DeLorean for
- 34:10Speaker 2: sure has gas in it because the last thing you
- 34:12Speaker 2: did was chase Biff and get zapped. Oh yeah, so
- 34:16Speaker 2: it all they had to do is go take siphon
- 34:18Speaker 2: the gas from that one and put it in Marty's
- 34:20Speaker 2: and go home because that one, that one has to
- 34:24Speaker 2: be there, otherwise Marty would never been able to get there.
- 34:26Speaker 2: And it's only been three months, so the gas is good.
- 34:29Speaker 2: The only thing that broke was that part. You just
- 34:32Speaker 2: blew my mind, bro.
- 34:33Speaker 6: Yeah, that's really the entire conflict of this movie is
- 34:36Speaker 6: not really a conflict, yeah, because there has to be
- 34:40Speaker 6: another DeLorean there and it has to have gas in it. Yeah,
- 34:45Speaker 6: just saying like, where's.
- 34:47Speaker 2: The other door a lot?
- 34:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I did.
- 34:50Speaker 6: It's I honestly, I have watched this movie ten thousand times,
- 34:54Speaker 6: and I think I just realized this like a year
- 34:57Speaker 6: or two. I feel like we had it on.
- 35:00Speaker 3: I remember he brought it out to me a year ago.
- 35:02Speaker 4: I always forget that, Like you know, I'm always like,
- 35:05Speaker 4: when you go back in time, would that thing actually
- 35:08Speaker 4: be there? But they do in the second one overlap
- 35:12Speaker 4: so technically and there in this world, I guess it
- 35:16Speaker 4: would be.
- 35:17Speaker 6: Well, and again, like I'm saying, it has to be
- 35:19Speaker 6: there because that's the only way Marty would have been
- 35:21Speaker 6: able to get back, right, because it's the same one.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Yep.
- 35:26Speaker 6: So again, finally it took me my whole life to
- 35:30Speaker 6: realize this.
- 35:30Speaker 3: But well, but hold on, does he just go back
- 35:33Speaker 3: further though, to like before Doc hit No, no, because
- 35:38Speaker 3: Doc has been there, Doc's been there. Yeah, you're right, Yeah,
- 35:45Speaker 3: you're right.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't say anyway around that.
- 35:48Speaker 6: I seriously have thought about it for the last year
- 35:51Speaker 6: or so, and I'm like, am I like, am I
- 35:53Speaker 6: missing something?
- 35:54Speaker 4: Or did Doc destroy it because he was happy there
- 35:57Speaker 4: and he.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Couldn't get because he.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Yeah, because he has it.
- 36:03Speaker 6: I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
- 36:05Speaker 3: That's crazy, I know.
- 36:07Speaker 2: And that's really funny that I.
- 36:10Speaker 6: I don't remember when this came to me, but and
- 36:12Speaker 6: I hate to use my hot take as the thing
- 36:14Speaker 6: that says.
- 36:17Speaker 3: That matter silly, But that's like that, that's just funny because.
- 36:21Speaker 6: They do this. They use this device in the second movie. Yeah,
- 36:26Speaker 6: it's a whole there's two Marty's and he has to
- 36:28Speaker 6: be careful, and there's two docs, and and there's there's
- 36:32Speaker 6: two time machines.
- 36:33Speaker 3: If they thought of that and they were just like,
- 36:35Speaker 3: just don't.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Say anything, let's just move on again.
- 36:37Speaker 6: Like I'm saying, it took me un till I was
- 36:39Speaker 6: forty to figure this out.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Yeah, no doubt.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Wow, we should get on Reddit and just like you
- 36:44Speaker 3: can write a whole thing on it and be like,
- 36:45Speaker 3: has anybody ever thought of this?
- 36:47Speaker 4: I actually did google it when we were talking about
- 36:49Speaker 4: this the other day, and I did see it. There's
- 36:51Speaker 4: a couple of other theories, but nothing. I didn't see
- 36:54Speaker 4: anything on it.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Let's see one on reddit right now, imbout that same level?
- 37:00Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, written by Benny has a huge Benny big Dog.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Actually it's thick Boy sixty nine two season boys b O.
- 37:15Speaker 3: I of course, yeah, definitely.
- 37:20Speaker 6: So yeah again, I love this movie so so much.
- 37:25Speaker 6: I don't even care. It's just something I realized recently
- 37:28Speaker 6: that really blew my mind.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Right, an end game back to the future? Simple?
- 37:34Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, yeah, they do make that joke.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, I've never thought about I didn't think.
- 37:40Speaker 3: That's a hot take.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Bro, that's a hot take.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Hot. I love it hot? Maybe a little smoking.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Do we just cancel the rest of the pot? Thanks? Everyone?
- 37:53Speaker 2: You just want to play a game.
- 37:58Speaker 3: At least talk about Mary for Yes, that's a good call.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Let's yeah, let's let's go and talk about our favorite
- 38:05Speaker 3: acting performance, and let's pick the dude.
- 38:09Speaker 2: The dude. I'm the dude, so that's what you call me?
- 38:13Speaker 3: You know that?
- 38:15Speaker 2: Or his dude or duder or you know, eldudo reno.
- 38:20Speaker 2: If you're not into the whole brevity thing, when, why
- 38:22Speaker 2: do you guys go first?
- 38:25Speaker 3: I'll go Mary. Yeah, I love I've always loved her.
- 38:30Speaker 4: I guess we should preface this, Okay, so we have
- 38:33Speaker 4: We have a buddy.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Our good buddy, Scott Wilson. Scott Wilson, Brooklyn, New York.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Look him up, looking him up. He hates her. He
- 38:42Speaker 3: hates her.
- 38:44Speaker 6: Well, we were saying, everyone has one of those like.
- 38:47Speaker 3: What do we call it, uh ship, I can't remember, but.
- 38:51Speaker 6: Like hate someone like has an actor or someone they
- 38:53Speaker 6: just hate for no reason, for no reason. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:56Speaker 6: and we all have them. Yeah, but yeah, his has
- 38:58Speaker 6: always been Mary Steenbergen.
- 39:01Speaker 3: But why I love.
- 39:02Speaker 4: That about him is that she isn't so much good
- 39:06Speaker 4: so much that it's just oh and like movies that
- 39:09Speaker 4: we love, so we always have it on and she's
- 39:11Speaker 4: just always there.
- 39:12Speaker 6: And she's always delightful.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Dude.
- 39:15Speaker 4: Like literally, when Robbie texted us about this, I was
- 39:18Speaker 4: literally in the office watching Clifford.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, that movie made me feel so weird.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Yeah, he hates her, so shout out, Scott, Out Scotty Wilson.
- 39:30Speaker 2: But again, she's great in this. Uh it's not a
- 39:34Speaker 2: you know, crazy part for but one hundred and twenty
- 39:38Speaker 2: two credits Oscar Winner, and she's just in so many
- 39:44Speaker 2: delightful films that we all want to ask her for.
- 39:47Speaker 2: I actually wrote it down because it's her third film ever.
- 39:49Speaker 2: I'd never seen it. Melvin and Howard, no idea. I
- 39:53Speaker 2: did not know she was an Oscar Winner.
- 39:55Speaker 3: I didn't know that.
- 39:56Speaker 2: We talked about that was like.
- 39:58Speaker 3: Her third her third credit ever.
- 40:01Speaker 6: John, It's not like early eighties, it was like eighty Yeah.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Wow, unreal.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Blew my mind on that too. You guys are blowing
- 40:13Speaker 3: my mind tonight.
- 40:15Speaker 6: That's what we're here for.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Love. Jason Robarts was in that movie and he's in
- 40:19Speaker 2: Parentoo with her.
- 40:20Speaker 3: That's right, fun, wonderful fun. That's a fun, dude.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, that's great. She is wonderful really and everything.
- 40:28Speaker 2: I mean, she's the best.
- 40:29Speaker 6: And like you said, like it's not really a crazy part,
- 40:32Speaker 6: but none of her. She always just like comes in,
- 40:34Speaker 6: like just does the job. She's very just likable and
- 40:39Speaker 6: even though she's like kind of a sad guy, she's likable.
- 40:42Speaker 3: Yeah. The only thing I could see with your friend.
- 40:45Speaker 3: What's the name Scott, Yeah, Scott, Scott Wilson, Scott and Wilson.
- 40:51Speaker 3: One thing I'll agree with him on is that it
- 40:54Speaker 3: doesn't bother me. But I could see how her voice
- 40:58Speaker 3: could great on somebody. And I'll amost always seems like
- 41:01Speaker 3: it's about to crack or something. Sure, That's about the
- 41:05Speaker 3: only thing I could say, because God, yeah.
- 41:10Speaker 6: But she's like perfect for like she's very believable as Christopher,
- 41:14Speaker 6: like Christopher Lloyd's.
- 41:17Speaker 2: You know, love I love her. Yeah, she's the best.
- 41:21Speaker 6: Perfect lover's one of those she's like perpetually been like forty.
- 41:25Speaker 6: It feels like, yeah, you know what I mean, Like
- 41:29Speaker 6: she's like she's like Renee Russo. Like I'm like she
- 41:33Speaker 6: always seemed like she was like forty, but just really
- 41:38Speaker 6: she was real.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Are her and Ted dancing together?
- 41:41Speaker 3: Is that?
- 41:43Speaker 2: That's Remember? That's fun? Dinner parties at their house.
- 41:48Speaker 4: Are well, remember they're in curb together playing themselves, right.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Okay, and then they're both that that's so fun.
- 41:59Speaker 3: That a good one. Benny, who's your dude? I mean, look,
- 42:02Speaker 3: we got to talk about mister Fox.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, he's so good.
- 42:07Speaker 6: Michael J. Fox was a was a. It was a
- 42:10Speaker 6: real one of one.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Yeah, man, I really like, I really.
- 42:14Speaker 6: Don't know who else was like him at that time,
- 42:17Speaker 6: and I really can't think of anyone. Tom Holland maybe
- 42:21Speaker 6: kind of has a little bit of it now, he's
- 42:24Speaker 6: just like just the whole package. Like he's so he's
- 42:31Speaker 6: he's a great actor obviously, but he's so good at
- 42:33Speaker 6: at comedy. But he's not like a comedian, Like he's
- 42:38Speaker 6: not being goofy, right, he just he knows when to
- 42:42Speaker 6: bring some comedy and some levity. He knows when to
- 42:46Speaker 6: when to be serious. He's low key kind of a
- 42:51Speaker 6: dope athlete. Yeah, Like he's like this little dude. But
- 42:55Speaker 6: I totally believe that he would just throw down with
- 42:58Speaker 6: Biff and like he's got a great he's got a
- 43:02Speaker 6: great movie run. I think he's up there with the
- 43:05Speaker 6: best with the Tom Cruises and the mel Gibsons and
- 43:08Speaker 6: the n TV run, Like he's done some too TV star.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Well, And I was gonna say, like he he was
- 43:16Speaker 2: so good and it's so sad obviously that he got
- 43:21Speaker 2: sick because he already had like made the kind of
- 43:24Speaker 2: the transition into adulthood, like he had that Leonardo DiCaprio,
- 43:28Speaker 2: like he looked young. He looked younger than he was,
- 43:32Speaker 2: So I think he was going to have a long
- 43:34Speaker 2: road of gradually, you know, playing older characters, but he
- 43:39Speaker 2: already kind of made that transition successfully. Like I think
- 43:43Speaker 2: he would have been just a top of the list,
- 43:47Speaker 2: a lister for a long long time.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Agreed.
- 43:50Speaker 6: And it's so sad because I really think he was
- 43:54Speaker 6: all around just a wonderful actor and really could do
- 43:59Speaker 6: it all.
- 44:00Speaker 2: I mean, great irish in this movie, That's what I mean.
- 44:04Speaker 6: Also in this like him playing all the different characters.
- 44:08Speaker 6: What's he playing the second one? He's like four or something.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Yeah, he was like his own kids.
- 44:14Speaker 6: Dad to his own two kids.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 44:18Speaker 6: I just really he's just he was just such a
- 44:22Speaker 6: such a star man, yeah, man. And he's so just
- 44:26Speaker 6: naturally funny and charismatic, great action.
- 44:31Speaker 2: He doesn't feel like he's trying too hard, I know
- 44:34Speaker 2: at any point, which is so great.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:38Speaker 6: And I you know, maybe I think of Tom Holland
- 44:40Speaker 6: because he looks young and he's a little smaller.
- 44:42Speaker 2: And small Yeah, but yeah.
- 44:45Speaker 6: He's just one of those you know, I'm glad he's
- 44:47Speaker 6: just alive and still doing great stuff. But god, it
- 44:50Speaker 6: sucks because I would have loved to have seen the
- 44:53Speaker 6: next thirty years.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Of Michael J.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Fox for sure.
- 44:57Speaker 2: Man, I bet it would have been awesome. I love that.
- 45:01Speaker 3: That's a great dude. I picked him for my first
- 45:05Speaker 3: of the two, but I'm picking Christopher Lloyd in this
- 45:08Speaker 3: one just because he got focused more. He was more
- 45:11Speaker 3: of the story. But yeah, he's He was so fun
- 45:17Speaker 3: in these just like Zany. It was kind of cartoony,
- 45:22Speaker 3: but I loved it, especially when I was a kid,
- 45:25Speaker 3: and it was fun to see him get to kind
- 45:27Speaker 3: of shine a little more in this one.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that. That's who I picked to I'm
- 45:32Speaker 2: with you. His reactions throughout all three of these movies
- 45:36Speaker 2: are like my favorite parts of what he does, you know,
- 45:39Speaker 2: just he's like, you know, like.
- 45:42Speaker 3: And then he like backs up on the organ so it.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Sounds like plays the ominous chords the bathroom so so good.
- 45:56Speaker 2: So that's so good. But he got to play like
- 45:58Speaker 2: love sick in this one too, which was really fun.
- 46:00Speaker 2: I thought, you did a great job in this one,
- 46:02Speaker 2: and he's like the hero at the end, you.
- 46:04Speaker 6: Know, I know we talked about it, but so brilliant
- 46:07Speaker 6: of them. To like let him kind of straight man
- 46:10Speaker 6: it a little bit. Yes, this really great, really great.
- 46:14Speaker 2: Uh well, we will do it in trivia.
- 46:16Speaker 6: I was just looking at I know there was a
- 46:18Speaker 6: fun list of all the people they were looking at
- 46:20Speaker 6: for him.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Oh initially.
- 46:24Speaker 6: Yeah, so I don't know if we want to do
- 46:27Speaker 6: it now, we can do it later and whatever.
- 46:29Speaker 3: Let's do it, Jeff, do it now. You're there because
- 46:32Speaker 3: we did it five years ago. But I don't don't
- 46:34Speaker 3: remember what they.
- 46:34Speaker 6: Were Jeff Goldbloom, John Lithgow. Of course it would have
- 46:41Speaker 6: been fun. James Woods.
- 46:44Speaker 3: I just saw did you guys listen to the Smartlett
- 46:47Speaker 3: with right now?
- 46:50Speaker 2: Are you?
- 46:51Speaker 3: Did you see the John Smart and that he was
- 46:57Speaker 3: Fraser Crane and cheers and turn that down. All we
- 47:01Speaker 3: talked about it.
- 47:02Speaker 4: He could have I love Fraser and I love Kelsey Grammar,
- 47:05Speaker 4: but he could have done it.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Yes, that blew my mind.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Sorry to what's funny.
- 47:12Speaker 6: I've been I've been just deep into Fraser in the
- 47:14Speaker 6: last few weeks.
- 47:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that is. It's amazing, Like that's gotta be the
- 47:22Speaker 3: best spinoff of all time. It's up there. I'm sorry,
- 47:28Speaker 3: thanks guy, I.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Am deep in different man, no lift out. Yeah, it
- 47:45Speaker 2: would be good. Did because David however, David Hyde Peers
- 47:52Speaker 2: got involved. But yeah, but then even Robin Williams, Oh
- 47:58Speaker 2: my god, John, I actually think it would have been
- 48:01Speaker 2: pretty well. Gene Hackman, that would have been weird.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it took him a while to get into the comedies, but.
- 48:12Speaker 6: Yeah, Dudley Moore, Mandy Patinkin.
- 48:17Speaker 3: I can't picture those guys at all.
- 48:20Speaker 2: That'd be interesting.
- 48:21Speaker 3: Yeah, but lift Gow for sure.
- 48:23Speaker 6: John Plice I could see, was a little too young
- 48:28Speaker 6: still at that point.
- 48:30Speaker 2: And there you would have had the mad scientist part though,
- 48:33Speaker 2: like he could have done that. Yeah, but I like
- 48:35Speaker 2: that Christopher Lloyd is just just crazy enough that I
- 48:41Speaker 2: feel like it's still grounded.
- 48:43Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, like, hey, I feel like Robin Williams.
- 48:48Speaker 6: And again, I mean Robin wwis could do anything, but yeah,
- 48:52Speaker 6: I feel like he's just the perfect level of of
- 48:55Speaker 6: of theatrical without being sure over the top. You know,
- 49:00Speaker 6: he is over the top.
- 49:01Speaker 3: He gets pretty over the top. But yeah, I see
- 49:03Speaker 3: what you're saying.
- 49:04Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, but maybe it's the combo of the two
- 49:06Speaker 6: of them that just works so well.
- 49:07Speaker 3: Yeah, sure that's fun. I like that, that's good. Yeah,
- 49:13Speaker 3: we all said the dude. Right, we all said the dude,
- 49:16Speaker 3: let's let's talk about some of these supporting cast members
- 49:19Speaker 3: and let's choose the ducci wa.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Chi we get for this one?
- 49:25Speaker 3: Gad I got Tom Wilson.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Hell yeah, dude, yeah.
- 49:30Speaker 3: Benny did.
- 49:31Speaker 4: Like I'd already put him on as my my Tucci,
- 49:34Speaker 4: but he brought it up that he plays what the
- 49:36Speaker 4: same character in like what he was different, very same
- 49:40Speaker 4: character in like three different ages, but he plays the
- 49:46Speaker 4: middle aid like four versions of.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Middle age, yeah, like and five.
- 49:53Speaker 6: Really it's unbelievable. It's unbelievable.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really crazy. He's so good. And that scene
- 49:59Speaker 2: at after he shoots Marty in the street and he's
- 50:03Speaker 2: just going to it, it's so funny, like he's doing
- 50:08Speaker 2: so good there. It's so great.
- 50:11Speaker 4: But yeah, he's interesting, like I was on his IMDb,
- 50:14Speaker 4: like he's working constantly, but he's a big voice actor.
- 50:18Speaker 4: So like I honestly like I can't really name another
- 50:22Speaker 4: movie that live action.
- 50:25Speaker 6: Why wasn't he just like a big stock?
- 50:27Speaker 3: It might because he was type cast. I think that's
- 50:29Speaker 3: probably it, like how he come back from.
- 50:32Speaker 2: But it'd be one thing if I mean, I know,
- 50:33Speaker 2: but it'd be one thing if if he was the
- 50:36Speaker 2: same in every it's just the fact that we watched
- 50:39Speaker 2: him do this character work for three movies is like, damn,
- 50:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 50:44Speaker 3: He's crazy. It is weird that he didn't do much
- 50:50Speaker 3: live action stuff after this.
- 50:51Speaker 2: It's strange, like.
- 50:52Speaker 6: I feel like nowadays when he would have at least
- 50:54Speaker 6: like had his own show something. I need someone to
- 50:59Speaker 6: cast him in like a prestige TV where we're like,
- 51:03Speaker 6: oh my god, Thomas Wilson, he's just gonna win an
- 51:06Speaker 6: Emmy in a golden globe and we're like, right, like
- 51:09Speaker 6: uh uh, Like what's his name in Barry the Funds?
- 51:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well Winkler Action.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Couldn't get there. Yeah, that's the stuff I guess he did.
- 51:25Speaker 2: It's so silly.
- 51:27Speaker 3: That's a good one. Who did you have for your
- 51:28Speaker 3: teach thenny?
- 51:31Speaker 6: I mean it's it's him, I mean, yeah, yeah, fair.
- 51:36Speaker 6: There really isn't anyone else in this movie. I mean
- 51:39Speaker 6: everyone else is a is a super super I mean
- 51:42Speaker 6: even leave Leah Thompson doesn't really do anything.
- 51:45Speaker 3: Not a ton no. I mean, the the dudes in
- 51:49Speaker 3: the bar entertaining.
- 51:52Speaker 2: I love everyone.
- 51:53Speaker 4: Everyone in the cast is one The principal that comes
- 51:56Speaker 4: back so good, and then you get Elizabeth Shoe waking
- 52:01Speaker 4: up on a bench.
- 52:02Speaker 2: Then they left her in war torn Hill Valley.
- 52:09Speaker 3: Just like she's alive again. She comes at the hour mark.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Lass, that's all right, she was about to take off.
- 52:20Speaker 2: She didn't care.
- 52:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, is there even I mean the bartender's great.
- 52:27Speaker 2: I did like that guy.
- 52:28Speaker 6: Yeah, but yeah, like really there is no other. It's
- 52:32Speaker 6: really Doc Marty steen Virgeon and Biff.
- 52:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah as well.
- 52:43Speaker 6: He's he's unreal. It's such a it's such an unreal
- 52:46Speaker 6: three movie thing. He's really great, and he's so good
- 52:50Speaker 6: at every single one.
- 52:52Speaker 3: He was really like he really shown shined in this one.
- 52:56Speaker 6: Yeah, like that when they're all the same character but
- 53:00Speaker 6: they're all very different. It's like it's really like an
- 53:03Speaker 6: acting exercise to watch. It's pretty awesome.
- 53:05Speaker 3: Yeah, so yeah, I mean I don't know, Yeah, it's
- 53:10Speaker 3: kind of I would have given it to Biff with
- 53:13Speaker 3: Mary Steenbergen right behind. Who would you have had?
- 53:15Speaker 2: Bugs? H? So I wrote down Donovan Scott, who is
- 53:19Speaker 2: the sheriff's deputy, and I wrote him down because he's
- 53:24Speaker 2: from police academy. He's Leslie from police Academy. I was like,
- 53:28Speaker 2: oh my god, this is the only other thing I've
- 53:30Speaker 2: ever seen in Oh wow. And I didn't remember he
- 53:32Speaker 2: was in it, but it was fun to see him
- 53:34Speaker 2: for a moment.
- 53:35Speaker 3: Sure.
- 53:37Speaker 2: I like that they have zz Top playing their own
- 53:42Speaker 2: like a Western version of the song. Yeah, double back,
- 53:46Speaker 2: which is really great. M h.
- 53:49Speaker 3: And you get you get Flee to come back because
- 53:51Speaker 3: he was in the second one.
- 53:53Speaker 6: Yeah, you know what I do wish I wish that
- 53:56Speaker 6: Biff's three cronies had been the same actors.
- 54:02Speaker 3: And yeah, I wish that is weird they switched it
- 54:05Speaker 3: on the third one. Why did they? Well in the
- 54:07Speaker 3: second one they're different too. Well, Billy zain stayed the same?
- 54:12Speaker 6: Is billy 'z a in two?
- 54:13Speaker 3: Also? Yeah, when they go back to fifty.
- 54:15Speaker 2: Five, back to fifty five, but they're not saying.
- 54:18Speaker 6: Which even in two they would have had them all
- 54:20Speaker 6: be his cronies in twenty fifteen also.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Yeah, the future.
- 54:24Speaker 6: Yeah, I just I wish they would have just committed
- 54:26Speaker 6: to it, like every time we see Biff and his
- 54:29Speaker 6: henchmen in alternate nineteen eighty five.
- 54:32Speaker 2: Yeah, which of them.
- 54:35Speaker 6: Are the same? I don't know, but I just think
- 54:37Speaker 6: that would have been fun if they could have them
- 54:39Speaker 6: be the same every time.
- 54:40Speaker 3: Agreed, But that would have been I'm over it.
- 54:44Speaker 6: This movie doesn't make any sense anyway. There's another Glorian.
- 54:47Speaker 6: So they made plenty of mistakes.
- 54:51Speaker 2: I know.
- 54:52Speaker 3: Film nice. Well, why don't we, Why don't we talk
- 54:58Speaker 3: about some of our favorite scenes. Let's uh, let's pick
- 55:00Speaker 3: our favorite scene and choose the dingus is quite simple, really, dingus, dingus.
- 55:06Speaker 3: I can talk about my dingas all night long.
- 55:09Speaker 2: What do we got for favorite scene? Guys, let's go first.
- 55:11Speaker 4: Go ahead, literally, I just have like every single horse scene.
- 55:16Speaker 4: They do great horse play in this film with the
- 55:20Speaker 4: Native American at the beginning, Like, there's great wide.
- 55:23Speaker 6: Shots of that.
- 55:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:24Speaker 4: I love the pulling of the DeLorean with the horses
- 55:28Speaker 4: trying to.
- 55:28Speaker 3: Get it up, you know, whether they get thirty or something. Yeah, right,
- 55:33Speaker 3: all that stuff.
- 55:35Speaker 4: And then again, you know, I meant to bring this
- 55:39Speaker 4: on my hotest take the final scene. Yeah, you know
- 55:44Speaker 4: how dangerous it is to ride a horse on a
- 55:48Speaker 4: railroad track like.
- 55:51Speaker 2: It is, and then and then grab the caboose and
- 55:56Speaker 2: jump from your horse to the tree. Yeah, that's pretty Wild's.
- 56:00Speaker 4: And the other in the other movies, you'll notice, like
- 56:03Speaker 4: usually they're on the side and they'll like jump on
- 56:05Speaker 4: blah blah. They're like they're on the tracks and at
- 56:08Speaker 4: one point they go over the tracks.
- 56:10Speaker 3: Onto the side.
- 56:10Speaker 4: Like that is just insanely dangerous that they actually did it,
- 56:15Speaker 4: and they actually it looked really good with as far
- 56:17Speaker 4: as I just know, as far as like the stunt doubles.
- 56:20Speaker 2: Like you can kind of tell, sure, but it's not
- 56:23Speaker 2: like it's not like a normal eighties early nineties.
- 56:26Speaker 4: Because you're like, wow, you could tell because you're like,
- 56:28Speaker 4: no way are they letting Michael J.
- 56:30Speaker 6: Fox or do that?
- 56:32Speaker 3: You know?
- 56:32Speaker 6: The one part that really looks incredible that I almost
- 56:35Speaker 6: wonder is it Michael J.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Fox. He makes this like jump, he jumps like over
- 56:40Speaker 2: it's the it's the final car before the front cars
- 56:43Speaker 2: full of wood and he jumps this huge jump and
- 56:47Speaker 2: it looks like him flat it gets him. It's unreal.
- 56:52Speaker 2: It looks like he jumps like twelve feet yeah, towards camera.
- 56:56Speaker 2: It's unreal. It looks so good.
- 56:59Speaker 4: The entire sea Quins is bananous. But then lastly, I
- 57:03Speaker 4: just had the dual scene.
- 57:05Speaker 3: I just had.
- 57:07Speaker 4: My thing was I always this always came up to me,
- 57:09Speaker 4: and it's just the dumb and dumber thing.
- 57:12Speaker 3: Which is that was a risk we were willing to take.
- 57:19Speaker 2: I love I love his recognition and that if you
- 57:22Speaker 2: want to you know, but.
- 57:27Speaker 6: That's all I got.
- 57:30Speaker 2: How brilliant in that moment, because that's the scene that
- 57:33Speaker 2: diff is watching in the hot to the Clean Eastwood
- 57:38Speaker 2: movie where he whips off his and has the boiler plate.
- 57:43Speaker 3: I did not know he's even wearing the and he's
- 57:45Speaker 3: wearing it's perfect.
- 57:48Speaker 2: It's so good perfect.
- 57:51Speaker 3: I do love that, so do I. What was yours? Benny's?
- 57:57Speaker 6: I mean, obviously the entire finals sequences, Yeah, is as
- 58:03Speaker 6: good of an actor, although I will say the first
- 58:07Speaker 6: Marty coming into the bar for the first time and
- 58:10Speaker 6: our first time we see Biff and that whole exchange
- 58:14Speaker 6: into yet another incredible horse scene of him running well
- 58:20Speaker 6: one the moonwalking and all that's hilarious, and then this
- 58:24Speaker 6: platoon on his shirt awful. But then he does a
- 58:31Speaker 6: sweet jump, chandelier swing out the door, gets out, hits
- 58:36Speaker 6: the Michael J. Fox run, which, like I said, earlier
- 58:40Speaker 6: rivals some Tom cruise, Mel Gibson, Yeah, lassos him, pulls
- 58:46Speaker 6: him through town, which is another six stunt off. Someone's
- 58:49Speaker 6: being pulled behind a horse and then up into the
- 58:54Speaker 6: thing to hang him. We're just gonna we're just about
- 58:57Speaker 6: to murder him. And then and then the of Doc's
- 59:01Speaker 6: boots with the so cool with the gun and the scope.
- 59:07Speaker 2: So badass. I like that.
- 59:10Speaker 6: These are these are action sequences that are just good
- 59:13Speaker 6: for any movie. Not right, yeah, this, I don't know
- 59:18Speaker 6: these these movies again, they're just undefinable.
- 59:21Speaker 2: They just have everything. Also a bit of trivia that
- 59:25Speaker 2: that Lassoo scene where he gets him. Uh, Tom Wilson
- 59:29Speaker 2: did that for real?
- 59:30Speaker 3: Shut off.
- 59:30Speaker 2: Yeah, he did his own apparently he did a bunch
- 59:33Speaker 2: of his own stunts with all the horse stuff, all
- 59:35Speaker 2: the horse stuff.
- 59:37Speaker 6: Tom Wilson had like three oscars.
- 59:40Speaker 3: He just killed it.
- 59:41Speaker 2: Like yeah, I read that in the trivia like Tom.
- 59:43Speaker 6: Wilson is Gladiator. Yeah, unbelievable. Yeah, I mean that scene.
- 59:52Speaker 6: Uh got so many Yeah, I don't know, you guys
- 59:57Speaker 6: go and there's so many more.
- 59:59Speaker 3: When when I think of this movie, I think of
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: the duel like Gaye brought up and him then kicking
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: his ass and him going into the manure. M hmm. Yeah,
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: and just the book end of the manure is it's
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: it's perfect.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: The greenest manure.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Gat. Yeah, and then yeah, then I have the ending
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: train sequence. Another great action scene is when he saves Clara. Yes,
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: love that the wagon going over the edge and that
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: was that was terrifying and you have to see Doc
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: just killing it.
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: It's fun again and again with all those the horse
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: like whoever the horse wrangler was, it is incredible, like yeah,
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: those like with the clar going to the low shots.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: Of the hooks and something.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: They really just went put in the extra effort to
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: get these dope shots.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: That was really a good hoof shot.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Big guy loves Tarantin. I should have been in the
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: Brave Heart pod. Yeah, there's a lot of good hoops.
- 1:01:15Speaker 6: Thousands of hoops.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: From that one going into the water. So great.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: The fake horts just like listing side, don't worry about.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: It, it's fine, it looks fine. We'll just have some
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: guy that doesn't look anything like bel Gibson following as well.
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: Falling with his mannequin horse.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: That's hilarious.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Like in this movie, all the stuff men are very well.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: Hidden, but in one five years earlier, Yeah, what do
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: you have bukes?
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Honestly a lot of the same. I think the entire
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: ending is amazing. I'm with you guys on that, like,
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: and it's so like I can't remember it was a
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: gate earlier that was just like this is a good West,
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: you know, like get rid of everything.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: This is just really great.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: Yeah, but that feels like they were like, let's just
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: make a real let's just make a Western, and this
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: back to the future stuff will just be a part
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: of it. Like they're basically doing a you know, a
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: heist on this on this train. It's so good. I
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: love it so much. I love that whole thing. I
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: I love the duel scene. Like you guys said, it's
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: so good. And I love that he's you know, almost
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: getting away from you know that trying to be what
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: other people want him to be. You know Marty. You
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: know he still goes out there, he still gets kind
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: of roped in, but he's getting closer, you know, towards
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: what he is at the end. I think that's really fun.
- 1:02:40Speaker 6: Is nice, the whole chicken subplot that has to kind
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: of overcome and he can't. You got that small man syndrome.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: It was fun.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: It was weird that they didn't start that in one
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: they started that was a realization I didn't know until
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: until this rewatch.
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: Eend to your point. I one of my comedy lessons
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: I think growing up was is Thomas F. Wilson read
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: after he shoots him.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: He's bowing, it's holding the gun.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: It's so good. I rewatched that like three times this rewatch.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: I was just like, this guy is cooking out here,
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: and he's cooking for three straight movies. Just the best.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: This guy, it's so so good.
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: Should have been a freaking star.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: I also loved the town festival scene. I thought that
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: was really fun and enjoyable, and you get to see
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: you know, Doc dancing and those two love birds like
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: kind of like budding of that and the shooting stuff,
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: you know, homage to the second one with the video
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: game and just all that stuff. I thought that was
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: really really fun. I like that.
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: I also think just honorable mention just because they again
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: feat let Doc kind of featured a little bit him
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: just there kind of like falling in love scene with
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: the telescope.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: And yeah, sure is really just lovely.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: That was nice. Again, like they didn't overdo anything, they
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: just were I don't know, they just did such a
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: good job. We talked plotholes again, sure because because another
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: one if if may if Mary Steinbergen was supposed to
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: die unless he saved her, who the fuck is writing
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: on his tombstone? And why are they writing the whole
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: plot of like he was killed over eighty dollars? Well,
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: I think I think he saved her, but it was
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: still it was still called Clark Canyon or whatever, and
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: that was because the teacher died there Clayton, Oh my god,
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: I don't think that was another one. That's it.
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: You're right because the moment he saved her, the moment
- 1:04:52Speaker 6: he saved her, it wouldn't have been Clayton Ravine anymore.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: It changed, but now it's Eastwood Ravine.
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: Yeah, it's cool, But that's a good point, Viewkes.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so I don't think that works either, son of
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: a it's no second Dolorean. You know, that's a fiasco.
- 1:05:06Speaker 6: But yeah, that's a great point. You're right because it's
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: his beloved Clara, So even without Marty there, he met
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: her but she Yeah, that's weird.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: That tombstone cracks me up when it's just like he
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: was killed by being shot in the back by this person.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: It was like a clue, you know, the win in
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: the middle of the streets with the Revolver over eighty dollars.
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: Guys, we have to do his whole cause of death, like, yeah, four.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: Hours, he's gonna take me all week.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: My fingers, your back is going to hurt. I love it.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: I love it, love it, love it all.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: But I'm cool picking the let's just pick the duel
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: and the entire.
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: Ending boom love it.
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: I will also throw out honorable mention of of Doc
- 1:06:00Speaker 6: getting hammered off for one shot.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: That is such a good call.
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: Marty's line reading of how many they have?
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: Just one? Just one? Just come on.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like this existential like Crisies, He's talking about
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: the future and they're like, how many easy, and he's like,
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: that's still the first one. He hasn't even drunk yet.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: He's just tracking.
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: I like when orders, like when he orders it to
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: in the and he's like whiskey and the Bartos, like
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: you sure you remember what happened to you on the
- 1:06:32Speaker 6: fourth of July. Yeah, that's exactly.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: That was exactly what I was going to bring up,
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: happened on the fourth.
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: All going back to just Doc loving Yeah, eighteen eighty five.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: Yeah, he'sn here, Doc's out here getting crazy on the
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: fourth of July. Okay, so funny.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean we can just tack that on with
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: the dual scene because it's right. Yeah, yeah, good, good call. Well,
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: let's talk about some quotes.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: Show me money, show me the money, show me. I
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: didn't get as many of these as I thought I
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: would for this one for some reason. Same but gay,
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: do you want to go first with a quote or two?
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a couple.
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: I like your friend in time, he says, and then
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: I saw us the research, and then I watched this
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: twice and a but I was distracted both times, and
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: apparently in the photo it says like to Marty.
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: Partner in time, Oh really, and.
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: Again I didn't honestly, both through watches, I didn't catch it,
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: but it was a little distracted both times.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: I just like that.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: And then.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: Marty's at eight o'clock, I do my killing after break. Yeah,
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: that's pretty great, it's good.
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: What do you get? I didn't really write any down,
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: but I mean I do love a knee k it's
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: very inappropriate.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Yeah, this is what's right?
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: Engine talk?
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: Is that right?
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Check out the moccasinsky.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Also in that same scene, another horribly racist one is
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: it's like you got that shirt.
- 1:08:17Speaker 6: Off of a dead Chinese.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's like, oh my god, yeah, nineteen ninety.
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: And we're okay. His voice is great.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: He's like a famous he did like a bunch of
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: like Disney movie.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Says he's the guy from like Robin Hood. He definitely
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: is that guy, I guess because that.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Rum is his name.
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: But let him you say a butchero movie.
- 1:08:45Speaker 6: I love when he's like, of course we run, but
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: for recreation, for fun, for fun kind of fun.
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: Is that he's not wrong?
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't get it either. I'm with that guy.
- 1:09:01Speaker 6: Yeah, you guys, go ahead throw out.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: I love that he said, remember where you're going, there are.
- 1:09:07Speaker 6: No runs, especially after at the end of the first.
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: Money exactly where we're going.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: We don't need exactly.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: I loved the play on that very good. And then
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: I loved that they switched so Marty says, great, Scott,
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: I know this is heavy, which is what he kept saying.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: Those are my favorite ones.
- 1:09:28Speaker 6: I like the I like the little the little exchange
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: of we finished it right now, not now Youford Marshall's
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: got our guns, Like I said, what is this tomorrow?
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: Tomorrow we're robbing the Pine City stage about Monday, were
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: doing anything Monday? No Monday, be fine, you kill on Monday.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: So funny. I love the whole thing. I'm with you. Oh,
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: money will be fine.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: You can throw some up bukes.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, let's see. I love when Marty he is like, well,
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: you know, Doc, you meet the right girl, it hits you.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: It's just like lightning. And he's like, Marty, please don't
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: say that after he just got struck by lightning. I
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: don't remember that one either, but I really liked it.
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: That's funny. Uh yeah, I'll hunt you and shoot you
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: down like a duck. It's like a dog.
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: Yeah, which is good.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: Let's see. Oh and I loved listen you get a
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: back door in this place. He's like, yeah, it's in
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: the back.
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: That makes perfect sense.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: I thought that was such a funny. Lie.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: Yeah. I like when they're taking over the train. It's
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: like reach and he says, is this a hold up?
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: It's like it's a science experiment. That's good, right, And
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: then just I hate manure. You just I love that. Yeah,
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: I really love the manure.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: It's a good it's a good thing. You know, it's fun.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: I really loved it. It's fun as a kid. Was
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: there any anything else? You guys have anything else? Honestly,
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: those are all written down. We all said should.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Have done a better job writing these down today. I
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: don't know, but yeah.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: Not real quotable, but it's so good. Well, why don't
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: we move on to bigs boohoo moments only. Yeah, the
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: crying game. I I had one. There might be a
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: couple o. The one I had is after Doc tells
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: Clary has to leave and she gets super upset with it.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: Then he leaves, leaves the pin on the window cell.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: Can I just say definitely I'm with Marty on this one.
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: I'm like, look, she is an educator, she's a book reader.
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: Like, explain the situation and be like, look, this is crazy,
- 1:11:59Speaker 6: come with me. And she's like the fact that you
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: need to be like, okay, listen to me. Just come tomorrow.
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: If I'm wrong, you can go. I'm about to blow
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: your mind. You're not gonna believe the medical advances and
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: all the things. It's gonna be crazy. And look, if
- 1:12:15Speaker 6: I'm wrong, you go come back to your thing.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Maybe just give her an ice cube. I mean that
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: would probably be enough to convince people, right, show her
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: the DeLorean.
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: Well, I know she just had to. She just saw
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: a little thing that said time machine on the it
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: must be true.
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: I kind of don't see why he wouldn't just force
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: it to stay, like, right, Marty, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: help you get out of.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: Here, but I'm staying.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: I will say Marty makes a very compelling argument when
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: you just the whole speech of like we don't belong here, like.
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: And he's so, he's definitely gonna.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Use your brain.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: Yeah, not the thing your head braining it down to.
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: Yes, I did cry out that part, though, Well, was
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: there another I think I think you also cried right
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: at the end of the train thing when Doc catches
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: her and they're on the hoverboard big.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: He's like, all right, sweet.
- 1:13:31Speaker 6: And great music, And I think I think you thought
- 1:13:34Speaker 6: about crying when the train hits the Dolory and he goes, well,
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: Doc is destroyed, just like you asked.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: I didn't think about crying, my friend.
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: I cried.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: I'm given up on this category because I've never once gotten.
- 1:13:51Speaker 6: I'm great at this category.
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: Yes, i am a crime than I am, that's for sure.
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: That's because I'm like him and I'm out here crying
- 1:14:00Speaker 6: like fidelity.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Gross.
- 1:14:01Speaker 6: Same, I'm idiot.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: They're the best. It was those three. You guys nailed it.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: Thanks for the assist any nicely done.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: I loved the love story stuff in this. It was
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: really fun. It's very good collected a very well mentioned
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: the telescope scene with them when they're just in love
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: looking at the moon, that's a cute scene.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: It's do It was real opportunity, miss not bringing up
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: a uranus joke. But other than that, pretty cute.
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: It's a man of science, rob you wouldn't understand, Okay,
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: well biology, I mean yeah, that's yeah.
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: That's a good you're.
- 1:14:39Speaker 6: You're on, you're on. Use both this one and that one.
- 1:14:42Speaker 6: I think she's pretty science. He would have said it.
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: That would have been like, let's get married now, right,
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: Sure you're the woman for me?
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: Yeah? Docs, Like.
- 1:14:54Speaker 6: I thought, misopportunity.
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: You should have got right to a sex scene.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, or the I'll show you sure. Have you
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: guys seen back in the future three? All of a
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: sudden she was really deep into Frasier. It's still a
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: little movie trivia now that I've ruined everything.
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: When filming the scene where mad Doc Tannin tries to
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: lynch Marty. Michael J. Fox was accidentally hanged, rendering him
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: unconscious for a short time, which he unforgivable. That's ridiculous.
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: That is ridiculous, ridiculous. How did they let that happen?
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: I don't know, but it didn't it It just came
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: up in a different movie where someone passed out. Was
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: it was it Tom Cruise.
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: There's the now you see me where? Yeah?
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: She almost like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. It was one
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: we just talked about recently. Everywhere we woke up, Oh,
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: it was. It was in Braveheart. We had that trivia
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: that he woke up and everyone was around him after
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: he they were like racking him or whatever, and he
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: had the thing around his neck. Hmm, don't remember that.
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: We also did Back to the Future in twenty twenty
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Clint Westwood. Clint Eastwood was asked for permission about his
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: name being used for Marty in the film, and he
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: consented and was said to be tickled by the homage.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: So I just thought that was fun because I wondered
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: about that. Do you have to ask for I don't
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: know how that works at some point? Does it just know?
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: I did not know this was the thing Marty uses
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: a Frisbees pie play to knock a gun out of
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: Mad Doc's hand in the festival scene. In eighteen seventy one,
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: the Frisbee Pie Company started in Connecticut. Their pie pens
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: were thrown on the campus of Yale, and this eventually
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: led to the invention of Frisbees. And so this is
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: another example of Marty introducing something into the timeline earlier
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: than the official invention, and thus potentially giving the original
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: inventors the idea to make them.
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: That's funny thought.
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: I didn't realize that's what was happening. I just thought,
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: you know, they were showing it. But apparently they started
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: as pythons. That's awesome. I always kind of figured there
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: was maybe some context behind that, but I never actually
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: looked it up. Yeah.
- 1:17:13Speaker 6: Apparently though, really because obviously they do it in the
- 1:17:16Speaker 6: first one with Johnny be good.
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: Yes right, and then the also the skateboard right, like
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: he pulls off the yes right skate and make it
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: a skateboard.
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: But my dad told me, well, I guess it would
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: have been a little later than fifty five. But my
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: dad said, in like the late fifties when they were kids,
- 1:17:34Speaker 6: they did take uh wheels off of roller skates and
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: screw them two boards.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: Oh really and like to do it? Yeah, pretty wild
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: like that.
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: Apparently the guitar and the first one though was not
- 1:17:50Speaker 6: hadn't come out.
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: Yet in nineteen fifty five.
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: Oh that it was like three more years or something. Cosies.
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: Also, there's a second Glorean according to the book.
- 1:18:03Speaker 6: I'm going to just start this. It's like the second
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: man on the grassy Knoll. We'll make sure it'll be great.
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: There was another Delaurian.
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: According to the book, Billy Gibbons, rock and roll gear
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: head zz Top was hanging around on the set and
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: was asked to be the town band. During one take,
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: the camera broke and so while they were waiting, Michael J.
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: Fox asked if they would play Hey Good Looking, which
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: they did and afterwards a request just kept, you know,
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: coming in and everyone was having such a good time.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: Two hours later, someone inquired if the camera had been repaired,
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: and Robert Zemechis replied that it had been fixed for
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: quite a while, but he didn't want to stop the
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: party that had evolved. So that's pretty cool. They got
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: to just hang out and have zz Top playing music.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: That's pretty neat.
- 1:18:49Speaker 6: Wait, so that that was just a happenstance that they
- 1:18:53Speaker 6: were around and they like threw him in costume.
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: I guess it says they were hanging around on set
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: and asked to be the town band. That's what it
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: sounds like anyway, which is what's crazy.
- 1:19:04Speaker 6: Because it just feels like it was because they're playing
- 1:19:08Speaker 6: double back right right, which then becomes the credits song.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know, that's what that that's what the.
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: No, it doesn't never mind, Uh, that's not true. It doesn't.
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: Oh, we said the thing about Tom Wilson. He performed
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: all his horse riding stunts himself and did the trick
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: with the lawsuit.
- 1:19:26Speaker 8: Uh.
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: Eighteen eighty five time setting was partly due to a
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: suggestion by Michael J. Fox, who had commented to producers
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: he always thought it'd be fun to act in a Western,
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: and he got his chance, which is pretty fun.
- 1:19:38Speaker 6: Well, I was going to say it, even during hot
- 1:19:40Speaker 6: takes like the second one is cool because it's it
- 1:19:44Speaker 6: does make sense what happens, yeah, you know, as a continuation,
- 1:19:50Speaker 6: and it's fun that they end up kind of going
- 1:19:52Speaker 6: backwards and going back to fifty five and doing all that.
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: But you know, it's when you're thinking about the third one.
- 1:19:58Speaker 6: It was like, well, we have to take a big
- 1:20:00Speaker 6: swing here. We can't keep waffling in the fifty five
- 1:20:03Speaker 6: eighty five things, right, So it was like they either
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: have they kind of either had to go way backwards
- 1:20:10Speaker 6: or way forwards, you know what I mean, totally, and
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: that's such a good idea, and.
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: Going backward was the right way, Like that's so yeah,
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: so smart.
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: Well yeah, and they had already gone to flying cars
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: and right they've done that. Yeah, you know, yeah, this
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: is I think it's brilliant.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: I love it too. Michael J. Fox compared filming all
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: three movies to being back in school, as it seemed
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: like someone was always teaching him to do something for
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: the films. During the court the course of the trilogy,
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: he taught him. He was taught how to play guitar,
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: how to ride a horse, and how to shoot a gun.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: So he had to learn a lot of new stuff
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: for all these which is pretty fun. The character of
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: Clara Clayton is in reference to Claric Clemons Samuel Clemens,
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: Mark Twain's daughter. Clara Clemmons went on a sleigh ride
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: with her future husband the horse took fright from a
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: winds swept newspaper and bolted, and the driver lost control.
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: At the top of the hill, next to a fifty
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: foot drop, the sleigh overturned, throwing Clemens out her future.
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: Bo leapt to the ground, caught the horse by the head,
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: stopping it as it was about to plunge over the bank,
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: dragging Clemens with her dress caught in the runner. So
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: he saved her, which is wow, pretty crazy. So apparently
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: it was an illusion to that. Mary Steinbergen's children were
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: the ones who persuaded her to be in this film,
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: and we thanked them for that every day. I don't know.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: It also was probably a pretty good paycheck.
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: I probably a.
- 1:21:39Speaker 6: Huge movie who persuaded her her kids? I guess someone
- 1:21:44Speaker 6: needed to persuade her. That's the third installment of the
- 1:21:49Speaker 6: kick Ass Happening. But Katie Holmes that thing. Also, we
- 1:21:58Speaker 6: have the movie playing right now and I just want
- 1:21:59Speaker 6: to give an on a mention to the wake up
- 1:22:02Speaker 6: juice that looks like a delicious like bloody Mary. Yeah
- 1:22:04Speaker 6: it does, and Dot can't handle it. But I'm like,
- 1:22:07Speaker 6: would I be having a wake up juice every day
- 1:22:09Speaker 6: in this in this.
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: Did they have to sauce.
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: Because that's what either Maneah, I'm with you.
- 1:22:17Speaker 6: It might have existed in eighteen It was.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: A little light on the garnishment. But it did look nice.
- 1:22:22Speaker 6: Did look? It looks kind of good to me. I'm
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: not gonna lie.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: Yep, I'm with you on that.
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: To film the eighteen sixty eight when Tabasco.
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: Son of a another plot, look, let them.
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: Go, No, no, that's oh wait eighteen eighty.
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we did it.
- 1:22:36Speaker 6: Good job, made it.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: Great job, everybody, great job. I'll cut that out. To
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: film the destruction of the DeLorean, Uh, the film filmmakers
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: consulted with the engineer of a diesel freight train that
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: would smash the Dolore into pieces. When he was asked
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: if smashing the car might derail the train, he's like,
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: are you kidding? I've waited my whole life to do this.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: It's like, who cares, It's gonna be fine.
- 1:23:01Speaker 6: I don't think Deloreans were known for their beefenis what
- 1:23:04Speaker 6: does he? He says it in the second one, he's like, Marty,
- 1:23:07Speaker 6: we're in a Dolorean. He's in a fifty seven Chevy
- 1:23:09Speaker 6: tear through us like we were ten.
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, that's exactly right, really really good b b B.
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: I think that was all the ones. Oh no, I
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: have one more. Yeah. In the novelization, after the little
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: Boy hands Marty back his gun, he asked Hi where
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: he got the idea to wear the oven door unders close.
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: Marty replies that he saw it in a movie. The
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: little boy then asked Marty what a movie is. Before
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: Marty can answer, a woman calls out the name David
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: David Lewin Warck Griffith, and this is the real name
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: of pioneer filmmaker d W. Griffith, who had been born
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: in eighteen seventy five and would have been nine or
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: ten years old in eighteen eighty five. So I just
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: thought that was kind of a cool that's real fun,
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: that's neat say in the novelization, Apparently they do novelizations
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: after movies sometimes. They did the late eighties.
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: Lot I remember, I remember this happening.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: But yeah, so they just like kind of flesh them
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: out more, I guess. But yeah, so they put in
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: the d W. Griffith reference, which is kind of fun.
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: That is fun. I had a couple of things. The saloon,
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: I guess is in the same location as Lose Cafe
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: in nineteen fifty five, the Gym in nineteen eighty five,
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: in the Cafe eighties in twenty fifteen.
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: Oh that's cool, kind of fun, the same.
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: I say, it's in the same location.
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: And okay, oh main and whatever or something. That's cool.
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: Michael Winslow performed the sound effects of Michael J. Fox's
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: feet during the breakdancing sequence. He received a special thanks credit.
- 1:24:46Speaker 6: What I always wondered who did that, because it's it's
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: clearly someone who can throw down pretty hard.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fun. That's some good moonwalking.
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: I love Michael Winslow. And apparently this was written specific
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: four Mary Steambergen Cleric Layton.
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: Goddamn right, kids would be right after parenthood, right, yeah,
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: I think.
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: I think that sounds right. That does sounds right, freaking wonderful.
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: And that was all I had though, did anybody else
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: have any other trivia?
- 1:25:22Speaker 4: I just I didn't realize that these they shot these movies.
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: Back to back. Yeah, two and three, pretty and three,
- 1:25:30Speaker 3: and they released them like six months apart.
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: I didn't realize. I thought it was a year, but yeah,
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: it's six months. That's crazy. Which, Yeah, I had no idea.
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: I guess they did that with Home Alone one and two.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: Maybe that was a thing that No.
- 1:25:44Speaker 4: Two they like Greenlit and just spat up because they
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: made so much money with one. Right, Oh, this like
- 1:25:50Speaker 4: they like Greenlit two and three?
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: Right, it was like eleven months.
- 1:25:54Speaker 6: It's just weird.
- 1:25:55Speaker 4: Where like with like Lord of the Rings when you
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: do that, like you can shoot, But these two, I
- 1:26:00Speaker 4: think I saw something like that. The only shot they
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: shot two that was in three is Elizabeth Shoe.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: On the bench at the end. Really, they just left
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: her there on the bench. She's been there since war
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: torn Special Valley. He should have went back to that alley.
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: Unfreaking believable. Jennifer's just like this piece of crap around.
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: I love that they go back, but Jennifer is just
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: on her own.
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: Yeah, get the dog, Jennifer, no idea. Doc is so
- 1:26:37Speaker 3: much better, a better dude.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 1:26:47Speaker 6: When we left her, you guys are going to break up.
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: She's gonna be the well will there be a sequel
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: judgment day?
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: No, not another one, I doubt no.
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: But you had said bugs that Christopher Lloyd did something.
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah, for the anniversary or something. Yeah, I forget
