- 0:00Speaker 1: Fine Time Opinion on Sky News Australia starts now. Pedo
- 0:07Speaker 1: Kredlin Live on Sky News Australia.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the program.
- 0:15Speaker 3: In another very busy newsday, I'm Caroline Marcus filling in
- 0:19Speaker 3: for Peter Kredlin. Coming up tonight, I'll bring you an
- 0:23Speaker 3: explosive phone call between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and
- 0:28Speaker 3: a respected Australian rabbi where the rabbi recounts how he
- 0:32Speaker 3: rejected Albanese's offer to come to his synagogue and blames
- 0:37Speaker 3: RPM for the Bondaie bloodshed.
- 0:40Speaker 2: You won't want to miss that.
- 0:42Speaker 3: We'll have the latest from the US, including the shocking
- 0:46Speaker 3: fresh images unveiled in the Epstein files, and former Prime
- 0:52Speaker 3: Minister Tony Abbott demands a National Royal commission into the
- 0:56Speaker 3: Bondai attack, slamming Albanesi's Department Mental Review as a sham.
- 1:03Speaker 4: This current inquiry that the Prime Minister has commissioned is
- 1:07Speaker 4: simply a cop out. It's basically the Prime Minister looking
- 1:10Speaker 4: into the Prime Minister.
- 1:13Speaker 3: But first tonight, chilling new pictures have emerged of the
- 1:17Speaker 3: alleged father son terrorists behind last weekend's massacre at Bonnai Beach.
- 1:23Speaker 3: This screenshot from CCTV footage shows twenty four year old
- 1:28Speaker 3: Navid Akram leaving an airbnb in Southwest Sydney with father
- 1:34Speaker 3: Sarjid Akram at two sixteen am the morning of the attack,
- 1:39Speaker 3: and this frame shows the pair leaving the campsy address
- 1:43Speaker 3: appearing to hold a large bundle wrapped in blankets believe
- 1:48Speaker 3: to be guns. Police will allege the pair loaded two
- 1:52Speaker 3: single barrel shotguns, a rifle and four homemade improvised explosive devices,
- 1:59Speaker 3: including three pipe bombs and what's known as a tennis
- 2:03Speaker 3: ball bomb into this silver Hyundai Atlantra before leaving their
- 2:09Speaker 3: temporary accommodation. Pictures later capture that same car parked at
- 2:14Speaker 3: Bondai Beach, near the footbridge where the attack would be
- 2:18Speaker 3: carried out. Inside the vehicle these Islamic state flags on
- 2:23Speaker 3: the front and rear windscreens that were seized by police.
- 2:28Speaker 3: A statement of police facts released by the court this
- 2:30Speaker 3: afternoon also reveals the pair allegedly conducted firearms training in
- 2:37Speaker 3: a countryside location suspected to be in New South Wales.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Police alleged the two men threw the pipe and tennis
- 2:45Speaker 3: ball bombs into the Jewish crowds celebrating Kunaka, which included
- 2:50Speaker 3: young children last Sunday. Mostly these bombs did not detonate
- 2:56Speaker 3: or the casualties could have potentially been so much worse
- 3:01Speaker 3: than they already are. The shocking new allegations come as
- 3:04Speaker 3: the Prime Minister continued to resist growing calls for a
- 3:08Speaker 3: national Royal commission at a press conference in Canberra today.
- 3:13Speaker 5: What's your mission would involve public hearings and won't be
- 3:16Speaker 5: run out of your department?
- 3:18Speaker 6: Are you running from sprutany by not holding one no.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Wrong?
- 3:25Speaker 3: The Prime Minister also issued this non apology to the
- 3:29Speaker 3: Jewish community after he was heckled at last night's event
- 3:34Speaker 3: marking one week since the terror attack which killed fifteen
- 3:38Speaker 3: innocent people.
- 4:02Speaker 7: The Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony alberanzi.
- 4:09Speaker 8: Emotions were raw and a lot of people in the
- 4:11Speaker 8: community are hurting and angry, and some of that anger
- 4:16Speaker 8: was directed towards me, and I understand that as Prime Minister,
- 4:21Speaker 8: I feel the weight of responsibility for an atrocity that
- 4:25Speaker 8: happened whilst I'm Prime Minister.
- 4:28Speaker 2: In other words, sorry but not sorry.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Then there's the Australian Labor Party president Wayne Swann, who
- 4:35Speaker 3: reposted a tweet criticizing grieving Jews at the event after
- 4:41Speaker 3: the Prime Minister was booed. The tweet by a research
- 4:45Speaker 3: fellow at left wing think tank read, Jewish people boo
- 4:50Speaker 3: Albanzi on arrival at Bondi vigil, but they support Netanyahoo,
- 4:55Speaker 3: who allowed twelve hundred Israelis to be slaughtered by Hamas
- 5:00Speaker 3: then murdered seventy thousand innocent people in Gaza. It is
- 5:04Speaker 3: beyond belief that such a hypocrisy can become respectable now.
- 5:09Speaker 3: That is a truly horrendous post. And I don't need
- 5:14Speaker 3: to reprosecute the entire Israeli military campaign in Gaza again,
- 5:19Speaker 3: but to blame Netanyahu for Harmas's attack and claim Israel
- 5:24Speaker 3: murdered seventy thousand innocent people, no mention of the huge
- 5:29Speaker 3: proportion of those who were actual terrorists killed in a
- 5:33Speaker 3: war the terrorists began. Well, that is outrageous and this
- 5:37Speaker 3: demonization of the Jewish state and blaming Australian Jews for
- 5:42Speaker 3: an overseas conflict is part of the reason we got
- 5:45Speaker 3: here in the first place. Wayne Swann doubled down when
- 5:49Speaker 3: contacted by News dot Com dot a U Samantha Maiden,
- 5:52Speaker 3: telling her he was not happy people had booed the PM. Well,
- 5:58Speaker 3: Australian jew whose aren't happy. They've had to spend the
- 6:03Speaker 3: week burying their dead, So suck it up, Wayne Swan.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Anthony Alberesi and his ministers cannot be allowed to dodge
- 6:11Speaker 3: scrutiny over their failures that help pave the way for
- 6:15Speaker 3: this attack. As former Prime Minister Tony Abbott tells me
- 6:18Speaker 3: in an interview, I'll bring you a little bit later
- 6:21Speaker 3: a departmental review into intelligence and security agencies that our
- 6:26Speaker 3: Albanesi has announced. Well that's a stitch up, he says,
- 6:30Speaker 3: and essentially the Prime Minister investigating himself. Today, Opposition leader
- 6:35Speaker 3: Susan Lee offered bipartisan support for a Royal commission. She
- 6:40Speaker 3: also ripped into Foreign Minister Penny Wong after wog Too
- 6:44Speaker 3: refused to say sorry in an ABC radio interview.
- 6:49Speaker 9: I didn't see Penny Wong attend a single funeral. I
- 6:52Speaker 9: haven't seen Penny Wong shed a single tea. So maybe
- 6:58Speaker 9: if more government mean and ministers were like Mike Freelander
- 7:02Speaker 9: and actually came to the streets of Bondai and listened
- 7:07Speaker 9: and not just listened, but heard, heard the pain, heard
- 7:11Speaker 9: the anguish, heard the call to action. We wouldn't have
- 7:13Speaker 9: the ridiculous remarks that she made this morning.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Now compare federal labor to New South Wales labor in
- 7:21Speaker 3: Premier Chris Mintz, who has never been afraid to apologize
- 7:25Speaker 3: for the failings under his own leadership, and who is
- 7:28Speaker 3: respected by the community for the personal accountability he has taken.
- 7:34Speaker 3: We are deeply sorry.
- 7:36Speaker 2: We a grieve with you and with humility.
- 7:39Speaker 10: I acknowledge that the government's highest duty is to protect
- 7:43Speaker 10: its citizens and we did not do that one week ago.
- 7:48Speaker 3: And for an idea of what the appetite is for
- 7:51Speaker 3: a national royal commission within the community, listen to the
- 7:55Speaker 3: loud applause the President of the New South Wales Jewish
- 7:58Speaker 3: Board of Deputies, David O Lossip, received when demanding one
- 8:02Speaker 3: last night.
- 8:04Speaker 10: How much more tragic is it that the loss of
- 8:06Speaker 10: life occurred despite all the warning signs being there and
- 8:11Speaker 10: on that night, and on that night, it cannot be
- 8:15Speaker 10: disputed that we need a royal commission, that we need
- 8:27Speaker 10: a royal commission which goes beyond New South Wales to
- 8:31Speaker 10: get to the bottom of how this catastrophe took place
- 8:35Speaker 10: and and that must include the Commonwealth.
- 8:45Speaker 3: And if you at home, believe too that this is
- 8:48Speaker 3: what is needed to get to the bottom of this
- 8:50Speaker 3: terrorist attack.
- 8:52Speaker 2: A new changed on all petitions calling for.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Exactly that was launched today by Sydney Jewish advocate Minie Pearlstein.
- 9:00Speaker 3: She says a royal commission is essential to investigate the
- 9:04Speaker 3: circumstances leading up to this tragedy, particularly the failures in intelligence,
- 9:09Speaker 3: policing and legislative policies. Pelstein writes, the horrific attack on
- 9:14Speaker 3: Boni Beach reflects profound governmental and systemic failings in addressing
- 9:20Speaker 3: the menace of anti Semitism that has been steadily growing
- 9:23Speaker 3: within within our shores.
- 9:26Speaker 2: And I urge you to sign that petition.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Albanisi is no doubt hoping this pressure on him will
- 9:33Speaker 3: ease over the Christmas period that Australians will be distracted
- 9:37Speaker 3: by family events and getaways that.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Cannot be allowed to happen.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Over the years, we've had royal commissions into all sorts
- 9:46Speaker 3: of issues, from veteran suicides to robodette to the institutional
- 9:51Speaker 3: responses to child sexual abuse. Surely we need one for
- 9:56Speaker 3: the worst terror attack this country has ever hadvent the
- 10:00Speaker 3: Jewish community. Many leaders and many of us here at
- 10:03Speaker 3: Sky News, including me, have been warning would be inevitable
- 10:07Speaker 3: after more than two years of simmering hatred on our
- 10:11Speaker 3: streets and in radical Islamic religious centers, and don't expect
- 10:16Speaker 3: other media to lead the way. On the Sky News
- 10:19Speaker 3: and surprisingly the ABC were the only networks to provide
- 10:23Speaker 3: full coverage of last night's historic event. Our coverage was
- 10:27Speaker 3: also simulcast in full on Fox News in the US. Meanwhile,
- 10:31Speaker 3: over on seven they were showing the cricket nine had
- 10:35Speaker 3: Christmas with Delta and ten a show called wait for it,
- 10:41Speaker 3: The Dog House Australia.
- 10:43Speaker 7: Here a dedicated team match abandoned.
- 10:46Speaker 11: Dogs, the helpless little creatures.
- 10:50Speaker 2: They don't deserve this with hopeful new owners.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Shall we skip please please dogs more than the next person,
- 11:02Speaker 3: I can assure you. But what an insult to the
- 11:05Speaker 3: Jewish community and to all Australians. So let me say
- 11:09Speaker 3: this again here on Sky News. We need a Royal
- 11:12Speaker 3: commission and we also need urgent action on anti Semitism
- 11:17Speaker 3: and the threat of Islamic extremism. And not by April
- 11:21Speaker 3: when the Departmental Review that the government's announced will report back.
- 11:25Speaker 3: My colleague Chris Ullman reports in The Australian Today a
- 11:29Speaker 3: classified threat assessment by AZO less than two weeks before
- 11:33Speaker 3: the massacre warned loan actors pose the greatest risk of
- 11:37Speaker 3: sudden attacks on crowded public places over the holidays. This
- 11:42Speaker 3: assessment said crowded places and events attracting large crowds are
- 11:46Speaker 3: the most likely targets for a terrorist attack in Australia,
- 11:50Speaker 3: with violent extremists using simple tactics and readily acquired weapons.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Our greatest concern is a threat from loan actors or
- 12:00Speaker 3: small cells on the edge of established groups. There's clearly
- 12:05Speaker 3: no more time to waste. I now want to bring
- 12:11Speaker 3: you a major exclusive that will give you a better
- 12:14Speaker 3: idea of exactly how angry the Jewish community is feeling
- 12:18Speaker 3: at the government and why tonight I can reveal the
- 12:22Speaker 3: head rabbi of the synagogue whose Huneker event was targeted
- 12:26Speaker 3: in last Sunday's terror attack told Prime Minister Anthony Albanizi
- 12:31Speaker 3: he was not welcome at his synagogue. Rabbi Yoram Ullman
- 12:36Speaker 3: from Hubbard of Bondai is the father in law of
- 12:39Speaker 3: Rabbi Eli Schlanger, another rabbi at the synagogue and the
- 12:42Speaker 3: first victim identified in the massacre.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Rabbi Eli was a father of five.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Whose two month old baby son was also injured in
- 12:51Speaker 3: the attack. And now I can show you a recording
- 12:55Speaker 3: of the explosive phone call between Rabbi Ulman and Israeli
- 12:59Speaker 3: Prime Minister to Benjamin Netanyahu after the massacre, where the
- 13:03Speaker 3: respected Jewish leader blames Anthony Albani and his Foreign Affairs
- 13:08Speaker 3: Minister Penny Wong for the bloodshed. The recording begins with Netna,
- 13:13Speaker 3: who telling the rabbi and Hebrew his door is always open.
- 13:31Speaker 3: It's then the conversation turns political as the rabbi tells
- 13:35Speaker 3: the Israeli PM how alban Easy reached out to him
- 13:39Speaker 3: to attend the synagogue and says he wanted to pose
- 13:43Speaker 3: for photographs with the rabbis. He told r p M
- 13:47Speaker 3: his son, Rabbi Elie would not have wanted the PM.
- 13:51Speaker 12: There agnestos from actually the Russia.
- 14:02Speaker 13: Benisa Ganna, salvo from Louis Camdeliott h russianoto as like
- 14:11Speaker 13: you as.
- 14:15Speaker 12: Vela verity.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Rabbi Allmans says Albanizi called him after the attack and
- 14:25Speaker 3: they spoke for thirty minutes. There was another phone call
- 14:29Speaker 3: after he buried his son in law, and it was
- 14:31Speaker 3: in those calls he claims he lashed the Prime Minister
- 14:35Speaker 3: and his Foreign Minister Penny Wong over their anti Israel
- 14:38Speaker 3: policies and blamed them for the last Sunday's massacre.
- 14:44Speaker 13: Hiram penny Wong since yes, every plessing as a.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Now, just to be clear, Penny Wong has never used
- 14:58Speaker 3: the terms Janus side or ethnic cleansing, but she has
- 15:02Speaker 3: said the issue of genocide was a matter for the
- 15:06Speaker 3: International Court of Justice, which is still considering a case
- 15:09Speaker 3: far by South Africa. She certainly has never strongly denied
- 15:13Speaker 3: that accusation, which of course is utterly outrageous and designed
- 15:17Speaker 3: to taunt Jews with the most hurtful accusation possible that
- 15:22Speaker 3: we or the Jewish state is committing the same atrocity
- 15:26Speaker 3: atrocities perpetrated on the Jews in the Holocaust. But back
- 15:31Speaker 3: to the recording and Rabbi Ullman says he gave Albanesi
- 15:34Speaker 3: example after example of how the Australian government's response to
- 15:38Speaker 3: the war in Gaza dangerously escalated the anti Semitism crisis.
- 15:43Speaker 13: At home shas Vemba Leon kam as A Yeshima.
- 16:01Speaker 3: In the same phone call, Netanyahu tells the rabbi he
- 16:05Speaker 3: needs to ask the Albanese government to allow the Jewish
- 16:08Speaker 3: community to be armed to protect themselves, a demand that
- 16:13Speaker 3: the Israeli PM also made through my colleague Shari Marksen
- 16:17Speaker 3: in an interview she did exclusively last week.
- 16:21Speaker 6: You know the Jews are going to be targeted, so
- 16:24Speaker 6: have the ability to have armed guards. You cannot fight
- 16:28Speaker 6: with your bare hands against somebody who comes with a
- 16:30Speaker 6: Kalashnikov rifle or an automatic rifle. It's impossible.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Rabbi Alman was unavailable to comment on the recording tonight,
- 16:38Speaker 3: but he gave me his first interview since the attack
- 16:42Speaker 3: after the event last night to honor the victims one
- 16:45Speaker 3: week on from the horrific attacks, and he told me
- 16:49Speaker 3: he wasn't surprised by the booing Albanizi received at that event.
- 16:59Speaker 7: Good the Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albenezy, wasn't surprised because.
- 17:28Speaker 14: The community feels very hurt, very very betrayed. But I
- 17:32Speaker 14: do hope, you know, we believe that everybody should get
- 17:35Speaker 14: the second chance, and I do hope that he will
- 17:39Speaker 14: do what we call an hebre suvera repentance and many
- 17:43Speaker 14: many things that could be done that will reverse the
- 17:47Speaker 14: policies of the government.
- 17:50Speaker 2: For Rabbi Ullman, the message is clear.
- 17:52Speaker 3: The demonization of Israel, stoked by this government's response to
- 17:57Speaker 3: October seven, is behind the rise and anti Semitism.
- 18:01Speaker 14: Ultimately, hatred for Israel, hatred for Zionism, is hatred for
- 18:05Speaker 14: the Jewish people.
- 18:06Speaker 3: The question is will Alberanizi listen to what this eminent
- 18:10Speaker 3: rabbi is telling him. A spokesperson for mister Alberzi declined
- 18:15Speaker 3: to comment. Skynese does understand while the Prime Minister did
- 18:18Speaker 3: call Rabbi Ullman and offer his support, no demands were
- 18:22Speaker 3: made to take photographs with Rabbis Albernizi has previously said
- 18:27Speaker 3: he would not attend any funerals he was not invited to.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Clearly most in the community feel he hasn't earned an
- 18:35Speaker 3: invite after two years.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Of week leadership.
- 18:43Speaker 3: More now on that exclusive recording, how we heard the
- 18:47Speaker 3: rabbi from the synagogue whose Huneker event was attacked told
- 18:50Speaker 3: Anthony Alberanizi not to attend his temple and blame the
- 18:54Speaker 3: government's policies for the terror attack. Joining me now is
- 18:58Speaker 3: Rabbi him Levy from Sidney Shul, who was in the
- 19:02Speaker 3: room when that extraordinary phone call between Rabbi Yoram Ullman
- 19:07Speaker 3: and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Natanya, who took place. You
- 19:11Speaker 3: could see that on the photograph on your screens. Now,
- 19:14Speaker 3: Rabbi lev thank you so much for your time tonight.
- 19:18Speaker 3: First of all, the Prime Minister has declined to respond
- 19:21Speaker 3: to these claims from Rabbi Ullman in that phone call,
- 19:24Speaker 3: but we understand that he did not make specific demands
- 19:29Speaker 3: to take photographs with a rabbi. What do you know
- 19:32Speaker 3: about what the Prime Minister might have offered Rabbi Ullman
- 19:36Speaker 3: and the habad or what he may.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Have asked to do.
- 19:40Speaker 15: Thanks Caroline Arman. So this is not something that's coming
- 19:45Speaker 15: only from the direction of Rabbi Ullman. This is a
- 19:49Speaker 15: known over here in the community in between all the
- 19:52Speaker 15: families of the victims, injured, etc. Albinizi is trying to
- 19:58Speaker 15: get to every family of a then to be able
- 20:01Speaker 15: to attend funerals, to be able to attend in hospital's visits,
- 20:06Speaker 15: et cetera. He's declined and denied any visit, any any
- 20:16Speaker 15: attempt approach synagogues, institutes, anywhere. No one is accepting him.
- 20:23Speaker 15: As much as I know and as much as I'm
- 20:25Speaker 15: speaking to other places and synagogues, he really wants to
- 20:30Speaker 15: come and no one is accepting him. So declining what
- 20:37Speaker 15: Rabbi Oman is saying, he could he's he could do that.
- 20:42Speaker 15: I mean, he's declining his responsibility altogether. And he's saying
- 20:46Speaker 15: anyone that's coming and telling him, you're responsible, He's like
- 20:49Speaker 15: lashing out like a baby and like, no, it has
- 20:51Speaker 15: nothing to do with me.
- 20:52Speaker 16: I did this.
- 20:53Speaker 15: I did that instead of standing up and saying, like
- 20:57Speaker 15: the premiere, I have responsibility. It's so my responsibility. I
- 21:01Speaker 15: had to do so, and so I'll do so. And
- 21:03Speaker 15: so no, he's just declining everything. But we all know,
- 21:07Speaker 15: I'm speaking to a lot of members in this community.
- 21:10Speaker 15: Everyone knows he really was begging to come, but no
- 21:13Speaker 15: one accepted him.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Do you agree with Rabbi Allman's assessment in that phone
- 21:19Speaker 3: call with NT Yahoo that it was Alban Easy and
- 21:23Speaker 3: Penny Wong's policies and statements about Israel in particular that
- 21:27Speaker 3: helped lead and we're responsible for the attack last Sunday.
- 21:32Speaker 15: It's a very mainstream understanding in the community and I
- 21:38Speaker 15: would say probably a very very big majority of people
- 21:42Speaker 15: agree with that and feel that way, which is also
- 21:46Speaker 15: a very big part of it because people see in
- 21:51Speaker 15: their day to day living here in Australia the rise
- 21:54Speaker 15: of anti Semitism. They see the lack of response to it.
- 21:58Speaker 15: Not only that he's declining now, he was declining response
- 22:00Speaker 15: when things were happening, when there were calls for violence
- 22:04Speaker 15: against Jews, not someone that's seeing genocide or other nonsense.
- 22:13Speaker 15: People were calling for violence against Jews, people were calling
- 22:17Speaker 15: for it to hurt Jews. He said nothing. I don't
- 22:22Speaker 15: know if he didn't care or what does it mean
- 22:24Speaker 15: when someone is just not standing up. So I would
- 22:28Speaker 15: see most of the community agrees with that and feels
- 22:31Speaker 15: that way, and he is not yet understanding it.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Robbie, I am Levy.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Thank you so much for your time tonight and your
- 22:39Speaker 3: insights into how many people in the community are feeling
- 22:42Speaker 3: and that explosive phone call.
- 22:44Speaker 2: We really appreciate it. Now.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Sections of the media, in particular the taxpayer funded ABC,
- 22:51Speaker 3: have been criticized over their coverage of the Bondi massacre.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Let's see how they did it.
- 22:57Speaker 10: This is one of the darkest days that not just
- 23:01Speaker 10: Bondi Beach but Australia has ever experienced.
- 23:04Speaker 17: There was a Holocaust survivor that was killed, there were
- 23:06Speaker 17: children who were killed, there were two caps. It's the
- 23:09Speaker 17: deadliest terror attack in Australia's history, and not only that,
- 23:12Speaker 17: the deadliest attack against Jews since October seventh.
- 23:15Speaker 2: But we are ascribing all sorts of things right. Their
- 23:18Speaker 2: actions are not based on their religion.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Unbelievable, and ABC boss Hugh Mark says he doesn't see
- 23:27Speaker 3: any activist journalism at the ABC. Joining me to discuss
- 23:32Speaker 3: as former Speaker of the House Bronwin Bishop and Sky
- 23:35Speaker 3: News contributor Caroli Katz and Barus, both of you welcome
- 23:39Speaker 3: tonight when I'll start with you. Even former ABC board
- 23:43Speaker 3: member Joe Gersh who we've had on the show before.
- 23:45Speaker 3: He's admonished the Public broadcasters coverage and he said it
- 23:49Speaker 3: was marked by malice and incompetence and more broadly accused
- 23:53Speaker 3: the organization of contributing to the atmosphere of rising anti
- 23:57Speaker 3: semitism in Australia.
- 23:59Speaker 11: He's right, isn't he Wellias he is, and I mean
- 24:02Speaker 11: that statement that had nothing to do with religion was
- 24:06Speaker 11: just the most appalling statement of made. Of course it was,
- 24:09Speaker 11: but it is part of the activist Islamists campaign to
- 24:15Speaker 11: change the definition of terrorism away from being religious or
- 24:19Speaker 11: ideological to simply political. So it's in line with their campaigning, Caroly,
- 24:26Speaker 11: Where is Kim Williams on all of this?
- 24:28Speaker 3: We also heard Sarah Ferguson interrupting Josh Friedenberg in an
- 24:35Speaker 3: interview that they did together. It just seems remarkable that
- 24:40Speaker 3: there's not more contrition here from my public broadcaster.
- 24:46Speaker 5: Definitely, and we also had Laura Tingle with what she
- 24:49Speaker 5: said that religion had nothing to do with it. I mean,
- 24:51Speaker 5: it's just appalling. I also noticed that Hugh Marx is
- 24:54Speaker 5: managing director. Hugh Marx came from a commercial background. He
- 24:58Speaker 5: was managing director of the Nine Network. He's aware of this,
- 25:02Speaker 5: but it just seems to be that a billion dollars
- 25:04Speaker 5: of our taxpayers money continues to fund this organization which
- 25:08Speaker 5: doesn't present a proper balanced mainstream view to Australians, and
- 25:13Speaker 5: it doesn't seem like anybody can actually fix it or
- 25:16Speaker 5: get through to them. It's absolutely appalling, and we say
- 25:21Speaker 5: this time and time again. You say it with all
- 25:24Speaker 5: your reporting. All the hosts say it as well. It
- 25:26Speaker 5: is not a proper organization that is reflecting the mainstream
- 25:31Speaker 5: views of all Australians. It is barracking. It is barracking
- 25:35Speaker 5: for leftist causes and lurching Australia to extremist left ideology, and.
- 25:41Speaker 2: We are paying for all of it.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Well, let's return now to the vigil held at Boni
- 25:46Speaker 3: Beach last night. The Prime Minister albanezikopped mass brewing as
- 25:50Speaker 3: he was introduced to the crowd of an estimated fifteen thousand,
- 25:54Speaker 3: possibly twenty thousand people, and one man even rushed towards
- 25:58Speaker 3: the PM, accusing him of having blood on his hands. Caroly,
- 26:04Speaker 3: this was quite a remarkable reception that Alberanizi got, But
- 26:08Speaker 3: I wasn't surprised, I have to say, because there has
- 26:11Speaker 3: been huge anger within the Jewish community towards him, and
- 26:15Speaker 3: he has failed to front to crowds. He hasn't attended
- 26:19Speaker 3: the visual when there have been lots of people there.
- 26:21Speaker 3: He went quietly on one day, very quickly lay flowers.
- 26:24Speaker 3: So what did you make of how he was received?
- 26:28Speaker 5: Well, the thing is prominence to Anthony Albanizi does have
- 26:31Speaker 5: blood on his hands, and so does Penny Wong, and
- 26:34Speaker 5: so does Tony Burke. We saw that when Israel was
- 26:37Speaker 5: founded in nineteen forty nine by a labor government. We
- 26:41Speaker 5: have seen since October seventh, twenty twenty three, Australia has
- 26:46Speaker 5: been lurched right to the left right. Even Bob Hook's
- 26:50Speaker 5: son has come out today. And I've got to read
- 26:52Speaker 5: you the quote as well in the viewers, because I'm
- 26:54Speaker 5: not going to muck it up. Steve Hawk, son of
- 26:56Speaker 5: Bob Hawk, says, I'm a man of the left labor
- 27:00Speaker 5: by blood, by instinct, and by rational belief. Yet I
- 27:04Speaker 5: despair or so for my tribe. This is the son
- 27:08Speaker 5: of Bob Hawk. Bob Hawk would be turning over in
- 27:11Speaker 5: his grave and it's disgraceful.
- 27:14Speaker 2: This is you know, Albanese.
- 27:15Speaker 5: He was warned, he recognized Palestine. What on earth did
- 27:20Speaker 5: he think was actually going to happen?
- 27:22Speaker 2: Exactly?
- 27:22Speaker 3: I think the other thing is, can I just say
- 27:24Speaker 3: can I bring I'll just bring in Bromwin here, just
- 27:26Speaker 3: to give her a moment to respond as well, Carolly,
- 27:29Speaker 3: because it's not just the Jewish community who's upset, is
- 27:31Speaker 3: it Bronwhen I mean, we've got a fresh pole today
- 27:33Speaker 3: saying that not only his reaction to the terrorist attack
- 27:38Speaker 3: Harry's handled, or the antisemptoms and crisis, the expenses scandal,
- 27:42Speaker 3: it's taken a huge hit to his approval ratings. What
- 27:44Speaker 3: did you make of that pole and how he was received.
- 27:48Speaker 11: I think he was received in the way he should
- 27:51Speaker 11: have been because the headline of he has blood on
- 27:55Speaker 11: his hands was quite true and it's not just the
- 27:58Speaker 11: community or the people who were there, it is the
- 28:00Speaker 11: wider community. And you can see that reflected in the poll.
- 28:04Speaker 11: And I don't know he can ever recover from it.
- 28:06Speaker 11: Do you know even in today's into a press conference
- 28:09Speaker 11: that he did, he started off calling it an atrocity,
- 28:12Speaker 11: but if you listen to the rest of the interview,
- 28:15Speaker 11: he refers to it as an incident. And so you
- 28:18Speaker 11: really can't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.
- 28:21Speaker 11: There's no sincerity in his care about this part of
- 28:25Speaker 11: the community. He's still the rebel, rouser, rebellious person at
- 28:30Speaker 11: Sydney University speaking out against Israel n and I think
- 28:35Speaker 11: people see that for what he is now, whether or
- 28:39Speaker 11: not he is really becoming Albanizi the divider he divided
- 28:45Speaker 11: us on the voice. He's divided. He's divided his own
- 28:49Speaker 11: party on this. They're starting to split away from him.
- 28:52Speaker 11: And I think that the entire country would have joined
- 28:55Speaker 11: in the booing if they were there. You saw that
- 28:58Speaker 11: there were ten percent of people he thought. He gave
- 29:00Speaker 11: a really good response, and that counts his own people
- 29:04Speaker 11: as well. I'm going to say it public sac that's
- 29:07Speaker 11: about us as poor as it gets. So I just
- 29:10Speaker 11: think that as we go forward, we have to hold
- 29:14Speaker 11: them to account. That's why there must be a Royal commission.
- 29:16Speaker 11: And the reason he doesn't want it is because it
- 29:19Speaker 11: will take time. It's eighteen months to the next election.
- 29:22Speaker 11: That Royal Commission will continue through that period and it
- 29:25Speaker 11: will be front and center of the next election campaign.
- 29:28Speaker 11: That's why he does not want a Royal commission.
- 29:31Speaker 3: That's a very good point because if this just blows
- 29:34Speaker 3: over people, maybe he's hoping forget about it.
- 29:37Speaker 2: But we won't let that happen.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Bromwain, Bishop Carolee Katzenburus, thank you both for your time.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Sorry to cut it a bit short.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Still to come, we'll bring you my mussy interview with
- 29:47Speaker 3: former Prime Minister Tony Abbott. He explains why we need
- 29:50Speaker 3: a National Royal Commission and slams Albaniese's lackluster.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Response welcome back.
- 30:01Speaker 9: Well.
- 30:01Speaker 3: The Prime Minister fronted the media earlier today taking responsibility
- 30:06Speaker 3: somewhat in the wake of the Bonto massacre.
- 30:09Speaker 8: Some of that anger was directed towards me, and I
- 30:12Speaker 8: understand that as Prime Minister, I feel the weight of
- 30:17Speaker 8: responsibility for an atrocity that happened whilst I'm Prime Minister.
- 30:22Speaker 3: I spoke to former Prime Minister Tony Abbott a little
- 30:25Speaker 3: earlier and began by asking him if he thought that
- 30:29Speaker 3: statement was enough.
- 30:31Speaker 5: No.
- 30:32Speaker 4: I think that the Prime Minister owes Australians generally, but
- 30:36Speaker 4: Jewish Australians in particular, an apology for all of the
- 30:41Speaker 4: things that have happened on his watch. It was on
- 30:44Speaker 4: his watch that hate preachers rejoiced in the original October
- 30:48Speaker 4: seventh atrocity. It was on his watch that we had
- 30:52Speaker 4: the horrific scenes in the Opera House Forecourt. It was
- 30:57Speaker 4: on his watch that we had the harbor Bridge March
- 31:00Speaker 4: with constant demands to kill the IDF and globalize the Intofada,
- 31:06Speaker 4: and then of course we had the Bondai massacre. It
- 31:09Speaker 4: was on his watch in a massive concession to the
- 31:16Speaker 4: pro Palestine protesters. We had the recognition of Palestine. So
- 31:21Speaker 4: there's been a succession of failures which are the responsibility
- 31:26Speaker 4: of the Prime Minister. And really, I think the least
- 31:29Speaker 4: he owes the Australian people is an apology. Chris Mins
- 31:34Speaker 4: was man enough to do it. Why isn't the Prime Minister?
- 31:37Speaker 2: Sorry?
- 31:37Speaker 3: Truly seems to be the hardest word, including for the
- 31:40Speaker 3: Foreign Minister Penny Wong. I mean she's come out today
- 31:43Speaker 3: and she said sorry if people experienced for how people
- 31:48Speaker 3: may have experienced her visit to Israel, in which she
- 31:51Speaker 3: didn't actually visit any of the sites where the terror
- 31:54Speaker 3: attack happened on October seven. That's a non apology too,
- 31:58Speaker 3: isn't it.
- 32:01Speaker 4: Exactly right? Look, this government has never been fared income
- 32:06Speaker 4: about protecting Jewish people. Frankly, I don't think it's been
- 32:10Speaker 4: fared income about standing up for Australian values. And I
- 32:14Speaker 4: don't think this government gets it. I think we've got
- 32:19Speaker 4: a government of social justice activists. We don't have a
- 32:23Speaker 4: government which is serious about keeping Australians safe. There's no
- 32:29Speaker 4: one in this government who appears to be a national
- 32:32Speaker 4: security warrior and Frankly, a credible government in these perilous
- 32:39Speaker 4: times needs at least a few national security warriors in
- 32:44Speaker 4: senior positions, but I can't see any of them at all.
- 32:49Speaker 3: The Prime Minister is still resistant calls which are growing
- 32:52Speaker 3: for a national royal commission. He says there's already a
- 32:57Speaker 3: state royal commission. That Chris means that news Southwell's Premier
- 33:01Speaker 3: has committed to his launching a review into security agencies
- 33:07Speaker 3: and intelligence agencies that will be essentially internal, not independent.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Why do you say that a royal commission has to
- 33:16Speaker 3: happen on a federal level.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Only a royal commission can subpena documents, compel witnesses and
- 33:28Speaker 4: get to the bottom of this whole sorry mess. Now
- 33:32Speaker 4: I can understand why the Prime Minister doesn't want to
- 33:35Speaker 4: have a federal royal commission because he's frightened of what
- 33:39Speaker 4: will come out. I think he's frightened that there will
- 33:42Speaker 4: be advice that went to government which we currently don't
- 33:45Speaker 4: know about, that warned of the likelihood of terrorist events.
- 33:51Speaker 4: There may well be WhatsApp messages between the Prime Minister
- 33:55Speaker 4: and ministers which have been making light of the whole
- 34:01Speaker 4: anti Jewish hatred which has been rampant in our community
- 34:05Speaker 4: for the last two years. This current inquiry that the
- 34:10Speaker 4: Prime Minister has commissioned is simply a cop out. It's
- 34:14Speaker 4: basically the Prime Minister looking into the Prime Minister. I
- 34:18Speaker 4: don't think we can expect any real insights to come
- 34:22Speaker 4: from that. And while a new South Wales Royal Commission
- 34:26Speaker 4: is certainly better than nothing, and again all credit to
- 34:29Speaker 4: Chris Mins for doing it, the Jewish hatred that we've
- 34:36Speaker 4: seen is a national problem.
- 34:38Speaker 2: It's not just a New South Wales problem.
- 34:41Speaker 4: That's why if the Prime Minister is finally going to
- 34:45Speaker 4: be fed income about making a difference, he really has
- 34:49Speaker 4: to have a national Royal Commission. He says they'll be
- 34:54Speaker 4: cooperation between the FEDS and a State Royal Commission.
- 34:58Speaker 2: But a state royal Commission I.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Think will have enormous difficulty actually getting to the bottom
- 35:04Speaker 4: of this because it won't be able to compel the
- 35:08Speaker 4: production of witnesses and documents from inside the federal system.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Mind you, as.
- 35:16Speaker 4: Long as the State royle Commission is going, the Prime
- 35:19Speaker 4: Minister will have an excuse to avoid answering questions because
- 35:22Speaker 4: he can say, oh, it's all being looked into.
- 35:26Speaker 2: By a State Role Commission.
- 35:27Speaker 4: Look, this is this whole thing again. It's a Prime
- 35:31Speaker 4: minister who is trying to avoid responsibility for the terrible
- 35:36Speaker 4: things that have happened on his watch and which quite frankly,
- 35:41Speaker 4: government actions and inactions have contributed to.
- 35:45Speaker 3: You know, on that we saw the Prime Minister and
- 35:48Speaker 3: his press conference that I talk about some of the
- 35:51Speaker 3: reaction he got, the reception he got at this event
- 35:55Speaker 3: last night to mark one week since the terrorist attack,
- 35:59Speaker 3: and he the way he put it was that he
- 36:02Speaker 3: understood and accepted that there was some anger being directed
- 36:07Speaker 3: towards him in the community. Again, it feels like he
- 36:11Speaker 3: is dodging accountability here or he's just trying to minimize
- 36:16Speaker 3: his own role in this.
- 36:20Speaker 4: Yeah, it's one thing to accept people are angry. What
- 36:23Speaker 4: about doing something to eliminate the causes of that anger.
- 36:28Speaker 4: I mean, from the beginning, we should have had hate
- 36:32Speaker 4: preachers being deported or prosecuted. We should have had these
- 36:37Speaker 4: hate marches banned. We should have had a funding to
- 36:42Speaker 4: Islamist bodies eliminated. We should have had a much greater
- 36:48Speaker 4: stress on Australian values. Because quite frankly, this is a
- 36:52Speaker 4: government which has not just let down Jewish people. It's
- 36:56Speaker 4: let down all of us. What's been happening over the
- 36:59Speaker 4: last us two years.
- 37:01Speaker 2: It's not who we are.
- 37:04Speaker 4: We need to restore decency and pride and self respect
- 37:08Speaker 4: to our country and this cavalcade of weakness from the
- 37:14Speaker 4: Prime Minister is just not going to cut it.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Mister Abbot, I know that you were watching the coverage
- 37:22Speaker 3: of the event last night, with any parts from others
- 37:26Speaker 3: who spoke during the ceremony, any parts of that event
- 37:29Speaker 3: that moved you in particular.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Well, look, he's not the Prime Minister, he's the Premier.
- 37:39Speaker 4: But obviously I think Chris Mins has faced up to
- 37:44Speaker 4: the mistakes that the New South Wales government has made
- 37:47Speaker 4: and is trying to remedy them. I think he is
- 37:51Speaker 4: fair InCom Kelly Sloane obviously was there on the beach
- 37:57Speaker 4: when the massacre took place, and she did with selfless courage.
- 38:02Speaker 4: So all credit to the two of them. I think
- 38:05Speaker 4: we do have some real leadership in New South Wales.
- 38:09Speaker 4: Let's see something remotely resembling leadership from the Prime Minister,
- 38:15Speaker 4: because that, in the end is what he's elected to provide.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Mister Abbott, thank you for your time, and I know
- 38:21Speaker 3: a lot of people, both within the Jewish community and
- 38:24Speaker 3: the wider Australian community wish they did have a leader
- 38:27Speaker 3: with your strength and moral clarity and power again during
- 38:30Speaker 3: a time like this.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Appreciate it well. We're bringing you pictures taken a short time.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Ago by our cruise of one hundred and fifty people
- 38:40Speaker 3: gathered at Saint Mary's Cathedral in Sydney for a pro
- 38:45Speaker 3: Palestine rally, just one week after the anti Semitic terror
- 38:50Speaker 3: attack at Bonney Beach. Speakers at the rally have railed
- 38:54Speaker 3: against New South Wales Premier Christmins's new protest laws. With
- 38:59Speaker 3: attendee he's seen carrying pro Palestine and anti Israel banners.
- 39:04Speaker 3: A man has also reportedly been hauled away by police
- 39:09Speaker 3: after getting into a heated discussion with one of the protesters.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Police are on the scene and are monitoring the situation.
- 39:20Speaker 3: I also want to remind people after that Tony Abbott
- 39:23Speaker 3: interview earlier that if you want to voice your support
- 39:26Speaker 3: for a Royal commission into the Bonnoi massacre, be sure
- 39:29Speaker 3: to head to change dot org and sign Mani Perlstein's petition.
- 39:33Speaker 3: It already has more than five thousand supporters. I think
- 39:36Speaker 3: it just went up this morning and every signature counts
- 39:39Speaker 3: still to come.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Alex Ripton joins me.
- 39:42Speaker 3: To discuss the latest developments on the Bonnoi terror attack, including.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Here's reaction to that bombshell.
- 39:51Speaker 3: Chilling pictures that have been released today of the two
- 39:53Speaker 3: alleged terrorists.
- 39:54Speaker 2: That's next.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Welcome back joining me now as Executive Counsel of Australian
- 40:06Speaker 3: Jury co CEO, Alex Ripchen.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Alex, great to see you again.
- 40:11Speaker 3: First of all, I want to get your reaction to
- 40:14Speaker 3: this anti Israel rally we just showed our you as
- 40:17Speaker 3: pictures of happening now outside Saint Mary's Cathedral in Sydney.
- 40:22Speaker 3: It's only been a week since the attack on our community,
- 40:26Speaker 3: yours and mine. How do you feel about another protest
- 40:30Speaker 3: of this nature happening now?
- 40:33Speaker 16: These people are despicable. They're the worst of the worst.
- 40:36Speaker 16: And what I resent about them the most is that
- 40:39Speaker 16: they pose and posture as being human rights activists or
- 40:43Speaker 16: concerned about free speech or concerning it about Palestinians. They
- 40:46Speaker 16: don't care about any of that. They use all of
- 40:49Speaker 16: these things as a gimmick as a device to attack
- 40:51Speaker 16: Jewish people, to attack a core part of Jewish identity,
- 40:54Speaker 16: which is Zion is in the connection to Israel. They
- 40:57Speaker 16: are utterly shameless. There's no war cl only happening between
- 41:00Speaker 16: Israel and the Palestinians. But a war was declared on
- 41:03Speaker 16: the Jewish community of Australia in Bondai a week ago.
- 41:06Speaker 16: So the fact that these people want to gather and
- 41:09Speaker 16: fly the Palestinian flag and the kafir when we know
- 41:12Speaker 16: the association between the Jihads, the terrorists that attacked us,
- 41:17Speaker 16: and the cause which they claim to represent, it's just shameless.
- 41:21Speaker 16: But this is what we've come to expect from these people.
- 41:23Speaker 16: They can not a job for Jewish lives, or for
- 41:26Speaker 16: human rights or for free speech. They're about their own
- 41:29Speaker 16: performances and their own extremist agenda.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Alex Riptrin, sorry, so much news today, will have to
- 41:35Speaker 3: end there. I'm hoping to get you back soon though.
- 41:38Speaker 3: For more on what's happening now still to come. We'll
- 41:41Speaker 3: have the latest from the US, including the shocking images
- 41:44Speaker 3: revealed in the Epstein Files and rapped superstar Nicki Minaj
- 41:48Speaker 3: she's turned conservative. Welcome back now to the US, where
- 41:56Speaker 3: Donald Trump's Justice Department is copying in hence backlash after
- 42:01Speaker 3: it released thirteen thousand pages of heavily censored Epstein files.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Victims of Jeffrey Epstein's sex crimes have accused the Trump
- 42:11Speaker 3: administration of protecting the elite men involved in the scandal
- 42:15Speaker 3: with its extensive redactions, but it claims the redactions were
- 42:20Speaker 3: made to protect potential victims. However, the release also included
- 42:25Speaker 3: hundreds of vile, never before seen images like these ones
- 42:30Speaker 3: that were once on display at Epstein's at Epstein's Island estate,
- 42:35Speaker 3: showing the dead pedophile kissing and cuddling up to young girls.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Former US President Bill Clinton is also facing a reckoning.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Various images of him with unidentified women have been released,
- 42:49Speaker 3: including him soaking nearly naked in a hot tub with
- 42:53Speaker 3: one at his waist joining me. Now for more on
- 42:57Speaker 3: this is Sky News contributor Koshergata Kosh. We've seen Clinton
- 43:02Speaker 3: pictured with Epstein before, a lot of talk about him,
- 43:05Speaker 3: you know, having an association with Epstein. But how damaging
- 43:09Speaker 3: are these fresh photos for him?
- 43:14Speaker 18: Certainly not great. I think, you know, he's seventy nine
- 43:17Speaker 18: years old, he's pretty much off the political stage at
- 43:21Speaker 18: this point, so not as damaging as it might have
- 43:24Speaker 18: been had these things been released in his heyday or
- 43:26Speaker 18: even when Hillary Clinton was in the national spotlight. But
- 43:29Speaker 18: it's obviously not great. I think it just confirms what
- 43:33Speaker 18: really the zeitgeist has long thought about the former president,
- 43:37Speaker 18: that he is somebody who has a penchant for impropriety,
- 43:41Speaker 18: to put it nicely, with women and other women, in
- 43:44Speaker 18: this case young women. But all these things do because
- 43:47Speaker 18: the picture is worth a thousand words, of course, as
- 43:49Speaker 18: it brings it back into the forefront. And that's why
- 43:51Speaker 18: people are saying this is his reckoning or you know,
- 43:54Speaker 18: it's hard to shake this while it's in.
- 43:55Speaker 15: The news cycle.
- 43:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that was a very diplomatic way of referring to
- 43:59Speaker 3: the Monica Lewinski scandal.
- 44:01Speaker 2: I have to say, nicely done for television.
- 44:04Speaker 3: US Vice President Jade Banns, meanwhile, has used his speech
- 44:08Speaker 3: at America Fest to address the growing civil war within
- 44:12Speaker 3: the MAGA movement, which has seen the American Ride go
- 44:16Speaker 3: to battle with its conspiracy theorist elements, headed off by
- 44:20Speaker 3: the likes of Candice Owens and Tucker Carlson.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Here's what he had to say.
- 44:25Speaker 19: We have far more important work to do than canceling
- 44:28Speaker 19: each other. We have got to build. And President Donald
- 44:32Speaker 19: Trump is a builder. Charlie Kirk was a great builder too.
- 44:36Speaker 19: He understood that any family can have its disagreements. It's
- 44:39Speaker 19: tough conversations. We can learn and improve and treat one
- 44:43Speaker 19: another better. We can love each other despite the disagreement.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Kosha, how do you think he handled this?
- 44:50Speaker 3: And will this sort of split I guess, but in
- 44:54Speaker 3: the MAGA movement be damaging long term?
- 45:00Speaker 18: Yes, two great questions. I think he handled it like
- 45:04Speaker 18: a future presidential candidate, which is what everybody expects. Jade
- 45:07Speaker 18: Events is going to be the front runner for twenty
- 45:10Speaker 18: twenty eight. I think there will be a robust primary.
- 45:12Speaker 18: But he really is in pole positions, So he is
- 45:14Speaker 18: speaking as he should in that way, staying above the fray,
- 45:18Speaker 18: keeping it meta, but really being very clear, crystal clear
- 45:21Speaker 18: about the value that he is supporting, which is that
- 45:24Speaker 18: the right is the party of free speech. Let everybody
- 45:27Speaker 18: have their say, we don't want to censor people or
- 45:29Speaker 18: control people, and hey, let's focus on the real enemy,
- 45:32Speaker 18: which is the left and the agenda that his side
- 45:35Speaker 18: is of course trying to defeat. So I think he
- 45:38Speaker 18: did well insofar as he could on the stage, and
- 45:41Speaker 18: he came closing out Amfest after a few days of
- 45:44Speaker 18: a lot of infighting, as you say, which has been
- 45:47Speaker 18: happening and spilling out. The dirty laundry is kind of
- 45:49Speaker 18: out for everyone to see. So in terms of your
- 45:51Speaker 18: second question, what that's going to look like, I do
- 45:54Speaker 18: hope that eventually it will, at least in time for
- 45:57Speaker 18: the midterms and certainly for twenty twenty eight, all die down.
- 46:00Speaker 18: But it really is at a fever pitch right now.
- 46:02Speaker 18: And you do have a dividing line happening on a
- 46:05Speaker 18: few issues on the right around censorship or not censorship,
- 46:09Speaker 18: but should we be curtailing certain viewpoints or just let
- 46:11Speaker 18: everyone have their say. Also on foreign policy as it
- 46:14Speaker 18: relates to how much the US is continuing to support
- 46:17Speaker 18: different countries, including Israel. This definitely is a dividing line
- 46:20Speaker 18: that's brightening on the right side of the isle, I
- 46:22Speaker 18: would say. And then, lastly, trust in institutions, and there's
- 46:25Speaker 18: a big faction of people that don't trust institutions, including
- 46:28Speaker 18: the investigation into who killed Charlie Kirk. That has become
- 46:31Speaker 18: a big dividing line on the right. These are fundamental things.
- 46:34Speaker 18: It's getting pretty ugly, But I hope the JD Vance's
- 46:37Speaker 18: words and others in his position can pull it all together.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Kosher.
- 46:41Speaker 3: I probably don't have time to play this next SoundBite,
- 46:43Speaker 3: but very very quickly ten or twenty seconds. Rap superstar
- 46:47Speaker 3: Nicki Minaj. She's shocked fans one of the most unexpected
- 46:51Speaker 3: Hollywood developments this year. She's apparently turned Republican and is
- 46:54Speaker 3: working with Trump's White House on Christian persecution in Nigeria.
- 46:59Speaker 3: And now he's appeared for Q and A hosted by
- 47:02Speaker 3: Erica Kirk at Turning Point, USA. Were you surprised to
- 47:05Speaker 3: see I guess this shift from Nicki Minaj.
- 47:10Speaker 18: Yes, not something that you would expect. You didn't give
- 47:12Speaker 18: a hint about Carolina in the past, where she in
- 47:14Speaker 18: twenty twelve wrapped some some lyrics supporting Mitt Romney, who
- 47:18Speaker 18: was not exactly a big bright person on the raid,
- 47:22Speaker 18: and she did that whether she.
- 47:24Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I'd love to talk to you more about
- 47:27Speaker 3: Nicki Minaj and other rappers.
- 47:29Speaker 2: We do have to leave you there.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Thank you very much for your company at home tonight.
- 47:33Speaker 3: You'll see me again right here tomorrow night at six
- 47:36Speaker 3: and throughout the week. The Bolt Report with Danika Di
- 47:39Speaker 3: Giorgio is up next.
