  Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin.

  It is a Friday. I am here with Cody. It is a Friday Walk with Cody episode.

  That's right. I'm home today. So that's why we're just coming to you live.

  That's right. Daddy has to sleep in every once in a while.

  So how do we begin our Friday edition of Have Faith, Let It Begin?

  We've had a really good week. Good episodes and great feedback, too.

  launch next week so we got a lot of stuff going on all around our two podcasts,

  one that I host and one I help and produce with Dr. E.

  So with that being said, this is how Friday's episode is going to go.

  I believe that each and every one of us was put on this earth for a reason,
• 2:06
  because we have a purpose. We have a gift.

  And that gift is something that all of us really need to put into place.

  All right, but how do you know what your gift is?
• 2:17
  And how do you know what your purpose is? Well, for me, it took for me to pray,
• 2:22
  pray to the Lord and say, God, I need your assistance.
• 2:25
  I need to know how we can put these things into place.
• 2:30
  So I said to myself, I've, and I've prayed this many times.
• 2:35
  I've said, you know, Lord, sometimes I just need a little bit of,
• 2:40
  I need you to just open a door for me.
• 2:42
  Now, when I say that, I'm not saying that we can't open the doors ourselves,
• 2:47
  but sometimes we need, we need, you know, like when you're in a,
• 2:51
  a dark room, and then somebody turns on the light and you get that little piece
• 2:55
  of light that's shining through.
• 2:56
  So you get a little curious and then you say, okay, who turned on the light?

  Well, that's the light I'm talking about this morning. I want you,
• 3:03
  Lord, to help me and help others find that little, little shining light so that
• 3:08
  we can just say, wait, wait, where did that light come from?
• 3:11
  And maybe, just maybe, we can see what our gift or where our purpose is.
• 3:16
  Now, many of you already know what that gift is. Many of you have a deep down
• 3:20
  inside, you know what kind of calling you have.
• 3:24
  Well, what is it? And what have you been doing for it?
• 3:27
  I'm reminded of the days when I'd be at home and I would just sit there and
• 3:32
  go, man, what am I really going to do with myself?
• 3:35
  You know, I was in college and I know that I was going to school for business management and.
• 3:42
  I knew I had a career already in place and I was already working for Bank of
• 3:47
  America or I had another job at AAA and I knew, good morning, a bus just drove by.
• 3:54
  I knew that I had some idea of where I was gonna go.
• 3:57
  But every time I felt like I was going one direction, I felt like God was pulling
• 4:02
  me in a different direction.
• 4:04
  And I know when you hear those words, you never get an example. So here's my example.

  So when I was just getting ready to...
• 4:14
  Apply for a higher position within the banking industry, something would come
• 4:18
  up where they would say, well, you know, angel, you can't apply right now because,
• 4:23
  there's other people in line. And if you apply, you're probably not going to get it.
• 4:27
  So somebody would tell me that and I would listen.
• 4:29
  We're not thinking that I should have just applied anyway.
• 4:32
  And then that following week I'd go to church.
• 4:35
  And then the sermon that was read by the, by the pastor would say something unlike.
• 4:41
  God is calling on you. God wants you to know that he loves you,
• 4:46
  that God wants you to know that you are his servant.
• 4:50
  And it would just get to me. It would just make me feel so good.
• 4:53
  It would make me vision myself being up there and preaching.
• 4:57
  And I just knew at that point, I said, okay, okay, something's up here. And then that same week.

  Somebody would call me and say, Angel, would you like to be a part of our Tres
• 5:08
  Diaz, our three-day weekend where you can mentor and we want you to preach?
• 5:13
  And I'd be like, oh my goodness, everything's coming after me now on this side. Okay.
• 5:18
  Then I would do that weekend and I would feel amazing.
• 5:22
  And people would say, you know, are you going to be a preacher?
• 5:26
  You really got this gift. Oh my God, your words. And I was like,
• 5:29
  whoa. And I just kind of followed that.
• 5:32
  You know? Now, listen, we all have different callings.
• 5:36
  And sometimes, you know, the callings that we get are right underneath our nose
• 5:42
  and we don't even know it.
• 5:43
  Like literally, it could be anything. So, you know, if you're not sure this
• 5:48
  morning and you're listening to the podcast right now,
• 5:51
  I suggest that in about, what, minute and a half, because we're almost done,
• 5:55
  turn off the podcast, turn off the radio. Have you ever driven in silence?

  Let God speak through you. sometimes we need silence and sometimes we just need
• 6:05
  to be in the moment with our heavenly father and that's what we're doing right now.

  Heavenly father thank you for this episode thank you for allowing me to just

  come up with an idea of an episode about,

  someone's calling someone's purpose i hope that we have touched somebody this
• 6:21
  morning i hope that somebody said okay you know what now the podcast is telling

  me something and now i know what i need to do,

  Praise be to God, because he has called upon you to show his purpose,

  to show you your gift, and to do all that you can for each and every other person.
