Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: Now if you missed this yesterday, the Jonas brothers I
- 0:09Speaker 1: believe started a podcast. Yeah, and we'll see how many
- 0:12Speaker 1: episodes it makes, how long it lasts. Hopefully it's a
- 0:15Speaker 1: wonderful successful podcast, just like every other celebrity has started
- 0:19Speaker 1: by twenty twenty six. And they talked a little bit
- 0:22Speaker 1: about how they got their name. Maybe you heard this yesterday,
- 0:25Speaker 1: So how do we actually come up with the name
- 0:27Speaker 1: Hey Jonas?
- 0:27Speaker 2: Guys?
- 0:28Speaker 3: We were talking about a thing a bit for the
- 0:30Speaker 3: podcast where people could call in and say, Hey Jonas,
- 0:32Speaker 3: And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey
- 0:35Speaker 3: Jonas and offered it up as a potential title of
- 0:38Speaker 3: the podcast.
- 0:39Speaker 4: But thanks for remembering that, guys.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Well, well, I don't know if they're going to actually
- 0:44Speaker 1: do that bit or not. Angie, Yeah, but we're going
- 0:47Speaker 1: to do it this morning here on Big ninety eight
- 0:49Speaker 1: point seven. If you could call in to the Hey
- 0:52Speaker 1: Jonas podcast and ask them a question, what would you
- 0:55Speaker 1: ask them? And we did put this on Facebook for
- 0:57Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven. And I need to give
- 0:59Speaker 1: a bit giant shout out because I was looking for
- 1:02Speaker 1: this question. Okay, to Libby, what was the real reason
- 1:07Speaker 1: you canceled your show in twenty twenty four.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, okay.
- 1:12Speaker 4: I believe it. That was in Grand Forks.
- 1:14Speaker 5: When I very first got here, which was over a
- 1:18Speaker 5: year ago, and I was sitting in studio with you
- 1:22Speaker 5: and Amanda's you guys were doing the show together, and
- 1:25Speaker 5: there was some Jonas Brothers news that had come out,
- 1:29Speaker 5: and Amanda was like.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Oh no, we're still mad at the Jonas Brothers.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Like I heard about this before I was even on air,
- 1:37Speaker 5: and it's yeah, a lot of people were mad that
- 1:39Speaker 5: the Jonas Brothers canceled their show but then didn't ever
- 1:43Speaker 5: reschedule it.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I think that's what's worse.
- 1:47Speaker 5: You didn't even reschedule it, and you didn't even give
- 1:49Speaker 5: us a reason why.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Because now I'm in it because I live here, so now.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I'm in it. That is a very fun like North
- 1:55Speaker 1: Dakota lore. Yeah, just there's a beef with the Joe Bros.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, I think we have to like rally the
- 2:03Speaker 5: troops and we do have to listen to this podcast
- 2:06Speaker 5: to see where how is it that we can get
- 2:08Speaker 5: to this Hey Jonas portion of the program, because.
- 2:12Speaker 2: That is a valid question.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Jennifer said, why don't you want to perform pom Palm? Now,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm assuming that that would be a Jonas Brothers song.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I gotta yeah, hand up. I don't know the deep
- 2:24Speaker 1: cuts of the Jonas brothers, but I'm sure that would
- 2:27Speaker 1: be a question.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I bet they'd answer.
- 2:30Speaker 2: You know what they might.
- 2:31Speaker 5: I would ask why it took them so long to
- 2:34Speaker 5: let my main man, Kevin Jonas do solo singing get
- 2:38Speaker 5: a little shiny? But I feel like Nick Jonas isn't
- 2:40Speaker 5: gonna say my ego, which I think is the answer.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Sure, I would ask the Jonas brothers, which if one
- 2:47Speaker 1: of you three had to work a regular job, you know,
- 2:52Speaker 1: just a regular eight to four, nine to five job,
- 2:55Speaker 1: which one of you would quit first and couldn't take
- 2:58Speaker 1: it and would have to go back to, you know,
- 3:00Speaker 1: being a Jonas brother.
- 3:01Speaker 5: It's Nick Jonas. I don't think he Jonas's ego is
- 3:05Speaker 5: out of control. Do I think he's smoking hot?
- 3:07Speaker 2: Yes?
- 3:08Speaker 5: Do I love him with his wife Prianka Chopra And
- 3:11Speaker 5: does it seem like he's a really great girl daddy. Yes,
- 3:13Speaker 5: But he's also got a massive ego.
- 3:17Speaker 1: You don't think you could see Nick Jonas shoveling away
- 3:20Speaker 1: at some assphalt yor laying some concrete, or doing any
- 3:24Speaker 1: other regular.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Job physical labor.
- 3:27Speaker 5: I think he'd be into it because he loves to
- 3:29Speaker 5: show off his muscles.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Well, he doesn't get to take his shirt off when
- 3:32Speaker 1: he does it. He's still got to wear the yellow vest.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Oh okay, Well then he's quitting that job immediately.
- 3:38Speaker 1: If you have a question, you would ask the Jonas
- 3:40Speaker 1: Brothers on their podcast, what would it be? Seven oh
- 3:42Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. I am
- 3:44Speaker 1: not kidding. If we get enough of these questions, I
- 3:47Speaker 1: will submit a question every single day to all three
- 3:50Speaker 1: of the Joe Bros. On Instagram, or however, I will
- 3:53Speaker 1: do it every single day until they answer one of
- 3:56Speaker 1: those questions.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I'll submit Libby's question forever.
- 4:03Speaker 6: Celebrating life's little victories victory every morning we practice gratitude
- 4:08Speaker 6: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:09Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 4:12Speaker 3: basket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard
- 4:15Speaker 3: and I.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Just really needed to win.
- 4:16Speaker 6: You know, sure your little victories with us at seven
- 4:19Speaker 6: oh one two eight A one ninety eight seven, Andree.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Do you have a little victory for us today?
- 4:26Speaker 5: My son Aiden would say gosh, mom, stop glazing. And
- 4:30Speaker 5: it's because my little victory is that I get to
- 4:35Speaker 5: come in here every weekday morning and do a show
- 4:39Speaker 5: with you, Gabe, and I love that I always have
- 4:43Speaker 5: the best time. You make me laugh so hard, and
- 4:48Speaker 5: I feel like we just have such a time in here,
- 4:53Speaker 5: and sometimes I think other people go to work and
- 4:55Speaker 5: I'm like, no one's having as good a time as
- 4:59Speaker 5: I am have and gave as my co host. And
- 5:01Speaker 5: I think the reason that I'm really feeling appreciative this
- 5:05Speaker 5: morning is because last night I had a dream that
- 5:08Speaker 5: we were auditioning different radio guys to replace you. Sure,
- 5:14Speaker 5: and I was told that I was not allowed to
- 5:16Speaker 5: tell you that we were auditioning replacements. Yeah, you just
- 5:20Speaker 5: thought you were like training some guy. And I felt
- 5:23Speaker 5: so guilty, okay, and so awful, and I did not
- 5:27Speaker 5: want to have a new co host. And I woke
- 5:29Speaker 5: up like what the heck was that? And then I
- 5:32Speaker 5: got in here this morning and already You've been cracking
- 5:35Speaker 5: me up. And so I'm very grateful and it is
- 5:38Speaker 5: quite a victory to my for my co host to be.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Someone I genuinely adore.
- 5:44Speaker 5: And that's why AIDEN would say, gosh, stop glazing.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Mom, don't do not let Angie fool you. Okay, I
- 5:50Speaker 1: you know, I do believe you mean those words. But
- 5:52Speaker 1: Angie also needs some help with some computer stuff later today.
- 5:55Speaker 4: And I think that was exactly what that was for.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You did literally say to me, let's see how nice
- 6:03Speaker 2: you are to me.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Well I'm definitely gonna have to help now.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I will say, though, I think Dream Angie has had
- 6:12Speaker 1: kind of a rough week. Oh my gosh, m Angie
- 6:15Speaker 1: trying to get trying to get me fired. H there
- 6:18Speaker 1: was another thing.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Yeah, Dream Angie cheated on her hand and I woke
- 6:22Speaker 5: up feeling so guilty, but then so relieved that it
- 6:24Speaker 5: was just dreaming.
- 6:25Speaker 6: I know.
- 6:25Speaker 1: It's only Thursday, though, Dream Angie's off and running.
- 6:28Speaker 4: What a time.
- 6:29Speaker 1: That means two out of four days here or two
- 6:32Speaker 1: out of four sleeps.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been rough.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah, Dream Angie, she she a problem.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Yeah all right, well that's cool, but thank you. I
- 6:40Speaker 1: appreciate that. That's very nice. We have had a great time,
- 6:42Speaker 1: and this morning, you know, I've been kind of firing
- 6:45Speaker 1: on all cylinders.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you really are. So what is your little victory?
- 6:49Speaker 1: My little victory? Let me tell you my little victory.
- 6:52Speaker 1: If you don't brag about yourself, no one's gonna do
- 6:55Speaker 1: it for you.
- 6:55Speaker 2: True story.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Okay, if you don't tell people the amazing, wonderful, superhero
- 7:01Speaker 1: heroic things that you.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Do, no one would know.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Fair.
- 7:05Speaker 4: So yesterday concerned.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Okay, yesterday, my lovely wife Corey got home from work
- 7:10Speaker 1: and she was just feeling very drained and very tired. Okay,
- 7:14Speaker 1: she is creating a human thirty something weeks pregnant, thirty
- 7:17Speaker 1: one or two or whatever it is, so it's that
- 7:19Speaker 1: seven eight months something along those lines. But she got
- 7:23Speaker 1: home and she was like, I really just want to
- 7:25Speaker 1: lay down today. And she just laid down and relaxed
- 7:29Speaker 1: and did nothing.
- 7:30Speaker 4: Oh beautiful.
- 7:31Speaker 1: It was wonderful for her. So, Hubby Gabe, what did
- 7:34Speaker 1: Hubby Gabe do, Angie? Hubby Gabe cook dinner, Hubby Gabe
- 7:39Speaker 1: walked the dog, Hubby Gabe did the dishes, Hubby Gabe
- 7:43Speaker 1: got everything cleaned up and put away, just so my sweet,
- 7:47Speaker 1: lovely baby making wife could relax and sleep. And she
- 7:55Speaker 1: was like, I'm really sorry, I'm lazy today. And I
- 7:57Speaker 1: was like, you know what, honey, some days to get
- 7:59Speaker 1: to one hundred percent, I have to give seventy and
- 8:02Speaker 1: you give your best thirty. There's gonna be days where
- 8:05Speaker 1: I gotta give forty and I need you to give
- 8:07Speaker 1: me sixty. And so yesterday I contributed I'd say about
- 8:11Speaker 1: eighty percent of our getting to one hundred, because that's
- 8:14Speaker 1: what a good team does.
- 8:15Speaker 5: As much as this was you self aggrandizing, like you,
- 8:21Speaker 5: I actually think this is very wholesome and.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I like that.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It was very very nice, And I'm glad my wife
- 8:26Speaker 1: got to relax and just kind of lay down. And
- 8:29Speaker 1: I don't know how she's feeling. She's super pregnant. Yeah,
- 8:32Speaker 1: these are the rough.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Weeks, Gabe, so you really have to be at her
- 8:36Speaker 5: beck and call and bend to her everywhere.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Well, no, you're right, You're right, I would. You're right
- 8:42Speaker 1: on the way. We've got Taylor Swift Elizabeth Taylor. We've
- 8:45Speaker 1: got the tea also on the way. And you know what, Angie,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you said something really nice to me earlier, so I'm
- 8:49Speaker 1: gonna go ahead. You know this Taylor Swift Elizabeth Taylor song,
- 8:52Speaker 1: it really reminds me of you because you're so iconic. Okay,
- 8:56Speaker 1: that's next.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Well, we hope you are gearing up for a fun,
- 9:08Speaker 1: exciting three day weekend. It's always I don't know if
- 9:12Speaker 1: you feel this way. Maybe it's just me. I'm sure
- 9:15Speaker 1: there's a lot of people, but I always feel so
- 9:17Speaker 1: strange when you talk about Memorial Day, which is coming
- 9:21Speaker 1: up here May twenty fifth, this Monday, because it is
- 9:25Speaker 1: exciting to not have to necessarily go to work. It's
- 9:27Speaker 1: nice to have a three day weekend and enjoy a
- 9:30Speaker 1: free day off and things like that.
- 9:32Speaker 2: But they're excited because they don't have school.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's just it's it's how you talk about it.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I think it can be interesting just because obviously, this
- 9:41Speaker 1: annual federal holiday honors all US military personnel who died
- 9:46Speaker 1: while serving in the line of duty. So it is
- 9:49Speaker 1: for we celebrate it for a very serious and very
- 9:53Speaker 1: important reason. And you know, it's for a lot of people.
- 9:56Speaker 1: It's got like the kickoff to summer. And as you're
- 9:59Speaker 1: grilling hot dogs in the backyard or you're out on
- 10:02Speaker 1: the boat. And I'm not saying you shouldn't enjoy the day.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You don't need to spend twenty four hours of the.
- 10:06Speaker 5: Day, right, but maybe let's just pour one out for
- 10:09Speaker 5: our soldiers.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So with Memorial Day coming up here a little bit
- 10:14Speaker 1: of a long weekend, we just wanted to know whether
- 10:17Speaker 1: it's you just don't have any kind of setting stone plans.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Maybe gas prices are affecting how you want to do
- 10:24Speaker 1: things this Memorial Day. Yeah, you gotta drive forever and
- 10:27Speaker 1: then you fill up the boat or the jet ski
- 10:30Speaker 1: or whatever. Just prices can't affect that and the decisions
- 10:33Speaker 1: you make.
- 10:33Speaker 4: If you're sticking around here in the FM area. What
- 10:36Speaker 4: are you doing?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Very simple today. We mostly are just nosy and want
- 10:40Speaker 1: to know about your life. So seven oh one through
- 10:43Speaker 1: eight zero one, nine eight.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Seven, I'm trying to get ideas, okay, because the kids.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Are like, what are we doing?
- 10:51Speaker 5: I don't know, and we're not driving anywhere. We have
- 10:54Speaker 5: to drive next So Memorial Day is earlier this year
- 10:58Speaker 5: than normal.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Usually it's like next week.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Yeah, because I don't think it's right.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not. I don't think it's a set day.
- 11:05Speaker 5: It's like the whatever Monday is when they do it
- 11:09Speaker 5: in day. So but we're traveling next week for graduation,
- 11:13Speaker 5: and we got to drive all the way to MSP first,
- 11:16Speaker 5: so we gotta conserve this gas. Okay, we can't be
- 11:20Speaker 5: really driving anywhere, so I really need some ideas as
- 11:23Speaker 5: to what we're doing.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Well, Julia is gonna crochet a sweater if my kids
- 11:28Speaker 1: let me, and probably some outside time if the weather
- 11:30Speaker 1: cooperates you. That's almost like a two birds, one egg
- 11:33Speaker 1: kind of deal. You could sit or what is it stone,
- 11:35Speaker 1: two birds one stone, you could I suppose it takes
- 11:39Speaker 1: two birds to make one egg.
- 11:40Speaker 4: But you get there, we go.
- 11:41Speaker 1: But you could sit in the backyard if the sun
- 11:43Speaker 1: is cooperating.
- 11:45Speaker 4: You got the book and your crochet stuff.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Julia has an umbrella, but we put our umbrella out
- 11:51Speaker 1: last week or something in the back ey. Yeah, that
- 11:54Speaker 1: would be kind of fun. Maybe you'll have to invite
- 11:55Speaker 1: you over and you can chill in on the back patio.
- 11:58Speaker 1: The glintens.
- 11:59Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, yes, actually please do We've got this
- 12:03Speaker 5: up on.
- 12:03Speaker 2: The big ninety eight points. I've on Facebook page.
- 12:05Speaker 5: But of course text us call a seven on one
- 12:07Speaker 5: toto one nine eighty seven, Terry said, cleaning out closets
- 12:11Speaker 5: and swapping out seasonal clothes, followed by reading on my
- 12:15Speaker 5: porch with my dogs. This sounds like Terry is living
- 12:18Speaker 5: the life. But this is a good idea. I have
- 12:20Speaker 5: literally a bin in my closet where I've just been
- 12:23Speaker 5: pulling stuff out. Yeah. I think maybe this weekend I
- 12:27Speaker 5: gotta pull the entire bin out and finally do the
- 12:30Speaker 5: major swap.
- 12:31Speaker 1: It is amazing when you have the Monday or the
- 12:33Speaker 1: Friday off. Yeah, how much more motivating it is to
- 12:38Speaker 1: do chores because I am the worst. Okay, It's like
- 12:41Speaker 1: when it comes to Friday, it's like, wow, I'm not
- 12:43Speaker 1: doing chores Friday.
- 12:44Speaker 4: It's a Friday night. I'll enjoying my day.
- 12:45Speaker 1: And then it's Saturday and it's like, oh, why would
- 12:47Speaker 1: I do these on Saturday?
- 12:48Speaker 4: It's my day off. And then Sunday comes and it's like, well,
- 12:51Speaker 4: I got work tomorrow. I'm not doing it. So play in.
- 12:55Speaker 5: The worst impossible to be productive on a two day week.
- 13:00Speaker 4: My house is like a Tuesday shore kind of day.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my gosh.
- 13:04Speaker 5: You know what, we did get a lot of this,
- 13:06Speaker 5: and I think it's because it's earlier this year. Lots
- 13:08Speaker 5: of people are running around to graduation parties.
- 13:12Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 13:13Speaker 4: How do we get invited to a grad party?
- 13:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:17Speaker 5: Anyone who would like us to come celebrate your graduate
- 13:20Speaker 5: Angie and I would definitely crash that we'll probably give
- 13:23Speaker 5: you a couple bucks and maybe even a scratch off
- 13:25Speaker 5: ticket that could lead to more bucks.
- 13:27Speaker 2: That's right, We'll bring a gift. Good guess, that's right.
- 13:31Speaker 1: And then also we have a lot of dude and
- 13:33Speaker 1: there's a lot of people with grad parties, like you said,
- 13:35Speaker 1: but also a lot of people being productive with projects.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I'm seeing a ton of that. So do you have
- 13:40Speaker 1: any projects you could get done during this three day weekend?
- 13:42Speaker 4: Angie?
- 13:43Speaker 5: Oh gosh, I think besides the swap of the of
- 13:46Speaker 5: the seasonal close, I don't know anything that I'd personally
- 13:49Speaker 5: be doing.
- 13:50Speaker 2: That's a mighty question.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel you on that.
- 13:52Speaker 1: See for me, that's a cory question, and it's what
- 13:55Speaker 1: project does she have for me this week?
- 13:57Speaker 2: That's fair.
- 14:00Speaker 6: In the world of rules in gray Areas, one morning
- 14:03Speaker 6: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 14:05Speaker 2: We both know you're guilty.
- 14:06Speaker 4: He's guilty. Is it legal?
- 14:09Speaker 1: You're guilty of the worst crime of all?
- 14:12Speaker 4: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 14:16Speaker 1: You know that dog in your neighborhood that starts barking
- 14:18Speaker 1: at ten pm and suddenly becomes a motivational speaker for
- 14:22Speaker 1: every squirrel and a three block radius. Well, is that
- 14:27Speaker 1: legal for little Fightoh to do well? In West Fargo?
- 14:32Speaker 1: Your dog can officially become a public nuisance if it barks, howls,
- 14:37Speaker 1: or cries for repeated stretches of at least three minutes.
- 14:43Speaker 2: So you've got that long, I mean it feels long.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Yes, it's not that long.
- 14:46Speaker 1: If you've got a little fight oh, who's got a
- 14:48Speaker 1: lot to say? After ten, you better get your stopwatch out,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and when you get some one hundred and eighty seconds,
- 14:53Speaker 1: it might be time to bring little FIGHTO inside. Wo.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 1: And then it's at least three minutes with less than
- 15:01Speaker 1: one minute of silence.
- 15:02Speaker 4: I know there's someone in West Fargo on.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Oh great, I got one of those dogs that'll bark
- 15:07Speaker 1: for two minutes and fifty nine seconds and then it
- 15:09Speaker 1: stays quiet for a minute and a half, and then
- 15:11Speaker 1: it barks again for two minutes of eight times it out.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Per Yeah, it's like contraction.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Yeah, if the neighbors can hear it off your property. Obviously,
- 15:21Speaker 1: if they're in your yard, there's not a whole lot
- 15:23Speaker 1: they can do. Yeah, if they're your neighbor and they
- 15:26Speaker 1: can hear it, it does become a public nuisance. Three minutes,
- 15:30Speaker 1: which means somewhere there's a dog going bark, bark, bark, bark.
- 15:35Speaker 1: All right, I'll pause for forty seven seconds. Bark, bark, bark.
- 15:39Speaker 1: So yes, your dog can basically get sighted for holding
- 15:42Speaker 1: an outdoor concert nobody bought tickets for.
- 15:45Speaker 5: Oh Man, I feel bad for the puppers too.
- 15:49Speaker 1: It's tough, and I have been very, very lucky with
- 15:52Speaker 1: the dogs I've had in my life. Not one of
- 15:55Speaker 1: them has been a late night barker. I have no
- 15:58Speaker 1: clue what I would do if if I did have
- 16:01Speaker 1: a dog like that. Like our dog Winona at the
- 16:03Speaker 1: house doesn't make noise. Yeah, ever, I mean she has
- 16:07Speaker 1: like things she does that it's annoying. Barking is not
- 16:10Speaker 1: one of the ones we deal with. So if you
- 16:13Speaker 1: have a dog that barks at night, and maybe you
- 16:16Speaker 1: fixed it, or you remedied it or whatever that would be,
- 16:19Speaker 1: you solved the puzzle.
- 16:20Speaker 4: What did you do? You might be able to help
- 16:23Speaker 4: someone today.
- 16:23Speaker 5: You know what, I was just thinking, Yeah, my neighbor
- 16:26Speaker 5: has a late night yapper. But now I'm realizing, Angie,
- 16:30Speaker 5: you're in bed by.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Six thirty pm.
- 16:32Speaker 5: That dog is barking during regular business hours.
- 16:36Speaker 1: That dog has done a half a work day by
- 16:39Speaker 1: the time he would get in trouble. Seven oh one
- 16:41Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven. Is there a
- 16:44Speaker 1: dog in your neighborhood that you can hear or it's
- 16:47Speaker 1: your dog a barker and you kind of figured out
- 16:49Speaker 1: how to solve the problem.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Let us know this.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Morning here on Big ninety eight point seven. No help
- 16:59Speaker 1: Angie Chow's violence. Now she's learning Excel the hard way.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Wow.
- 17:05Speaker 4: That was from Mark. Thanks Mark. I appreciate you, bro, Mark.
- 17:08Speaker 5: I don't know that I appreciate you very much at all. Okay,
- 17:11Speaker 5: here's the thing. There's something I need help with emailing
- 17:16Speaker 5: something from one computer to another.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I don't even know how to.
- 17:20Speaker 1: It's amazing how many tech questions I actually get around
- 17:23Speaker 1: here at Big ninety eight point seven.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I just my issue is that I would.
- 17:27Speaker 5: Have to It would require me to change my email
- 17:31Speaker 5: password to do it myself, and I can't do that
- 17:35Speaker 5: because that would involve talking to our engineer, who has
- 17:39Speaker 5: way more important things to do. And so I'm asking Gabe,
- 17:43Speaker 5: please can you help me do this? And Gabe said
- 17:47Speaker 5: it depends on how nice he is to me.
- 17:50Speaker 4: No, you are to me. I'm always I mean sorry.
- 17:53Speaker 5: Sorry, It depends on how nice I am to him.
- 17:55Speaker 5: And so I asked this at like five to thirty
- 17:57Speaker 5: in the morning. And I think that I have said
- 18:00Speaker 5: some and done some.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Really nice things to earth. Yes for little victories.
- 18:06Speaker 5: My little victory was hyping you up that you're the
- 18:10Speaker 5: best co host in all the land. And I didn't
- 18:13Speaker 5: even have to fake that. That's real, okay, And so
- 18:17Speaker 5: I did do that. I proclaimed it for all to
- 18:20Speaker 5: hear that you're amazing. I brought rice with me as
- 18:24Speaker 5: part of my lunch today and I don't need all
- 18:27Speaker 5: the rice, so I have offered you some rice to
- 18:30Speaker 5: add to your chicken soup situation.
- 18:33Speaker 2: That's very nice. I think you're so handsome.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Please just help me digging to the bottom of the
- 18:42Speaker 1: barrel here. I also do love this one from Ryan.
- 18:45Speaker 1: It is kind of funny. I feel like the guys
- 18:47Speaker 1: who have texted us in this morning they might be
- 18:50Speaker 1: kind of an older or younger brother, because a lot
- 18:52Speaker 1: of these are giving me very brother vibes. This was
- 18:55Speaker 1: from Ryan. Absolutely do not help Angie. Actions have conseqtu
- 19:00Speaker 1: when says forty minutes of roasting earns you a trip
- 19:02Speaker 1: to the YouTube tutorials.
- 19:04Speaker 5: Wow, it wasn't forty minutes of roasting. It was like
- 19:08Speaker 5: two minutes of roasting, split between two different times.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Why do the men hate me?
- 19:16Speaker 4: Julia said, you'll like this.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Julia said, yes, Helper, she could have been meaner, which
- 19:22Speaker 1: is implying that you were have been mean to me.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I know, Julia, I.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Know you're being trying to be helpful, but don't like
- 19:29Speaker 5: admit that I'm mean.
- 19:30Speaker 1: And then she said you can rise above and hang
- 19:32Speaker 1: it over her head forever.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Oh, Julia, I take it back. That's a good calling. Yes,
- 19:39Speaker 5: you'll have leverage over me.
- 19:41Speaker 4: That's well, I already got that and I've never used
- 19:43Speaker 4: it ever.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Well, okay, well just to have some more in case.
- 19:47Speaker 4: That's right.
- 19:47Speaker 1: And then Samantha said, yes, Helper, you have to work
- 19:51Speaker 1: with her all the time.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Trust me.
- 19:52Speaker 1: If you don't help her as a woman, I can say,
- 19:55Speaker 1: it won't be good for you. You know what, Samantha
- 19:58Speaker 1: might have a point. The problem is I'm really that
- 20:00Speaker 1: afraid of Angie. I'm really not.
- 20:03Speaker 5: I wish that I could say, like, well, I'll make
- 20:05Speaker 5: you be afraid, but I know that I will have
- 20:08Speaker 5: more tech questions.
- 20:10Speaker 4: Yeah, that'll live down a long windy road for you, Angie.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Man, Gabe, please just help me, all right, I'll help
- 20:16Speaker 2: you out.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Because I mean, if I don't, it would lead to
- 20:19Speaker 5: a chain of events where I wouldn't be your co
- 20:22Speaker 5: host anymore.
- 20:23Speaker 2: And do you want that? Do you want me to
- 20:25Speaker 2: not be your co host?
- 20:26Speaker 3: Well?
- 20:26Speaker 4: No, I like Julia. I'm gonna I like Julia's advice.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna help you out, and then we'll just well,
- 20:30Speaker 1: I'm sure we'll rehash this one morning here on Big
- 20:32Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven when Angie inevitably forgets her card
- 20:36Speaker 1: to pay for something or needs a ride somewhere, or
- 20:39Speaker 1: I got to pick her up, or whatever the case
- 20:41Speaker 1: may be.
- 20:41Speaker 4: So I'll just add it to my list.
- 20:43Speaker 6: Fine, starting off the day with something good. This is
- 20:54Speaker 6: Gabe's good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 20:58Speaker 1: If you've driven through Park on Highway ten, you've probably
- 21:02Speaker 1: passed Mary Melody Music Academy without realizing something pretty special
- 21:07Speaker 1: is happening inside. And it all started with Leah Knight
- 21:11Speaker 1: teaching music lessons out of her home. While she ended
- 21:14Speaker 1: up having so many students that she took a chance
- 21:16Speaker 1: and opened the academy in twenty twenty now it's grown
- 21:20Speaker 1: into an arts hub for Lakes Country, serving around two
- 21:23Speaker 1: hundred students a week and even expanding into Detroit.
- 21:27Speaker 7: Lakes had about forty five students at home, and my
- 21:35Speaker 7: home didn't really feel like mine anymore, and pretty soon
- 21:38Speaker 7: my phone was ringing off the wall, and so then
- 21:41Speaker 7: we just I ended up with so many people asking
- 21:43Speaker 7: for it. There was such a need.
- 21:45Speaker 1: The best part isn't just the growth, it's the confidence
- 21:48Speaker 1: being built. Students say they went from being too shy
- 21:51Speaker 1: to perform to getting up on stage and doing solos.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Others say it's made them better performers and better people,
- 21:58Speaker 1: and now they're working on scholarship instrument programs and even
- 22:01Speaker 1: helping revive the historic Garrick Theater in Holly, because sometimes,
- 22:07Speaker 1: you know, good news isn't about building something necessarily bigger,
- 22:09Speaker 1: but it's about just making everyone feel feel seen, especially
- 22:13Speaker 1: maybe kids in a smaller town. Which I love this,
- 22:15Speaker 1: And you know, I can't play every instrument well, but
- 22:19Speaker 1: I am pretty musically inclined, and there's a lot of
- 22:21Speaker 1: things I can kind of learn quick and pick up
- 22:23Speaker 1: very fast. But that would not have been possible had
- 22:26Speaker 1: I not started playing guitar when I was, you know,
- 22:28Speaker 1: ten or eleven or whatever that.
- 22:30Speaker 5: Yeah, a musical education is so beneficial to children in
- 22:34Speaker 5: more ways than just learning the instrument.
- 22:36Speaker 2: So this is awesome that she's fulfilling that need.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so good for your brain.
- 22:41Speaker 1: It's good to learn how to especially if it's a
- 22:43Speaker 1: two handed instrument, which you know, most are to learning
- 22:46Speaker 1: how to use both your right and your left hand.
- 22:48Speaker 1: The work your brain has to do for that, and
- 22:51Speaker 1: you know, sometimes it's just flat out of fun when
- 22:53Speaker 1: you try and fail at something over and over and
- 22:56Speaker 1: over again, and then you eventually nail that solo and
- 23:01Speaker 1: play that song and it sounds just like the one
- 23:03Speaker 1: you heard on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 23:05Speaker 4: It really is pretty cool.
- 23:06Speaker 1: So I could not be more of an advocate for
- 23:08Speaker 1: kids learning any kind of musical instrument whenever you know,
- 23:12Speaker 1: they get the chance to. You know, my favorite quote,
- 23:14Speaker 1: if you don't hear it, is broken Crans. They still
- 23:17Speaker 1: color And the world is full of nice people. If
- 23:18Speaker 1: you can't find one, you gotta be one.
