- 0:57Speaker 1: Q and A of Wicked and.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Grim True crime podcast.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Q and a Q and a Q and A questions
- 1:03Speaker 1: and answers here we go. So if you didn't already
- 1:06Speaker 1: hear from last episode and the episode before that, we've
- 1:09Speaker 1: been warning. Yeah, we have been. This week is a
- 1:12Speaker 1: Q and A. Nicole is actually on vacation right now.
- 1:15Speaker 1: This is pre recorded, so she's on vacation, chilling down
- 1:18Speaker 1: in the Okanhagen, British Columbia.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Area, the one time in our lives we've pre recorded
- 1:22Speaker 2: an episode.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I know, right, wow. So yeah, just to kind of
- 1:25Speaker 1: give you guys something still to keep going on, this week,
- 1:27Speaker 1: we opened up lines on our social media for questions
- 1:30Speaker 1: and answers.
- 1:31Speaker 2: And honestly, I think people are pretty into this. We
- 1:33Speaker 2: got like probably close to seventy questions.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah, which is pretty awesome.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Actually blew my mind sometimes, like, oh, should we do this?
- 1:40Speaker 2: What do we get?
- 1:41Speaker 1: Like one question?
- 1:42Speaker 2: Can we do a podcast on that? But you guys
- 1:44Speaker 2: came through and we got oodles and oodles of questions.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's definitely not a worry of if we're
- 1:49Speaker 1: gonna get questions, I think ever anymore.
- 1:53Speaker 2: And we have margaritas, and we have questions, and we're
- 1:57Speaker 2: going to go through them, and you're gonna get to
- 1:58Speaker 2: know us better and we're good. Old Tom.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I don't know about you. My margarita is almost gone ready.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Oh no, you still have a third. I'd say that's
- 2:05Speaker 2: a third, not anymore now a fourth. I have a fourth.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I'm actually doing better than you. What the heck? Hurry up.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I also had another alcoholic Bedverigere did so.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. We actually had a little many kind of
- 2:21Speaker 2: date night, I guess you could call it. We had margarita's,
- 2:24Speaker 2: We had pizza that we made on the barbie.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Made on the egg barbecue.
- 2:28Speaker 2: You you cooked them on the barbecue.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Barb barbecue onto barbeque. We had it to.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Pizzas Barbie from Okay, Okay, so let's dive in. Let's
- 2:39Speaker 2: do it, because I want to try to get through
- 2:41Speaker 2: as many as we can.
- 2:42Speaker 1: What I thought we were only doing like one question?
- 2:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I wonder if we could make a podcast
- 2:48Speaker 2: entertaining only one one, like an hour long, forty five
- 2:52Speaker 2: minutes or so, just based on one question.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Oh, that sounds rough. Oh I know a question that that. Oh,
- 3:00Speaker 1: that question.
- 3:00Speaker 2: And I have to actually say something, but go ahead.
- 3:02Speaker 1: The question that I think we should do, yeah, an
- 3:04Speaker 1: entire episode. Yeah, the question is why why?
- 3:10Speaker 2: Why?
- 3:11Speaker 1: Just why?
- 3:12Speaker 2: Open ended?
- 3:12Speaker 1: It there is this was probably like good ten years
- 3:15Speaker 1: ago that I heard this story, and I don't know
- 3:16Speaker 1: if it's true or accurate, but it was still funny.
- 3:20Speaker 1: But some university down in the States had this big
- 3:22Speaker 1: I think it was a psychology or philosophy sort of
- 3:25Speaker 1: exam or something like that for whatever it was, And
- 3:29Speaker 1: so all these students go in for the exam and
- 3:31Speaker 1: it's a piece of paper and the only question on
- 3:33Speaker 1: there is why.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Oh kay, you would probably excel at that and I
- 3:37Speaker 2: would not.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Well, here's the kicker. So many people just like wrote major,
- 3:42Speaker 1: elaborate like page after page after page explanations.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Right. Oh, but it was tryingly so simple the answer.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Right, well, I mean, how can you really answer why?
- 3:50Speaker 1: But there was one student who responded with why not?
- 3:55Speaker 2: Eh and boom like miccro just laughed right a plus.
- 4:01Speaker 1: And everyone else is probably just losing their shit.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Oh gosh, that is the epitome of what I want
- 4:06Speaker 2: to be.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I love just a boss.
- 4:10Speaker 2: That's amazing. Okay, Well, what I was going to say
- 4:13Speaker 2: is you are in some serious shit.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I am oh oh.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, yeah, people are not happy with you.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I made a lot of people very upset. I'm sorry,
- 4:24Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but I'm not I'm sorry.
- 4:25Speaker 2: At the same time, well, yeah, like, seriously, there was
- 4:29Speaker 2: probably how many people in this world on Tuesday? Do
- 4:32Speaker 2: you think you made cry? I think there would have
- 4:35Speaker 2: been a lot.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Well, I think we had somewhere in the vicinity of
- 4:39Speaker 1: fourteen hundred people listened to the episode on Tuesday Tuesday alone. Yeah,
- 4:44Speaker 1: and we had several messages and emails and comments about
- 4:50Speaker 1: people being like We've listened to podcasts, we've listened to
- 4:53Speaker 1: true crime, but this episode, holy shit, and the amount
- 4:59Speaker 1: of tears people claim that was going on. Like, I
- 5:01Speaker 1: I turned on the water works for a lot of
- 5:03Speaker 1: people apparently.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Well, yeah, and they're like at work and shit and
- 5:05Speaker 2: like having to leave their workstation because they're like upset.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah, Sarah.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Sarah said that I should wax your again legs for
- 5:13Speaker 2: everyone because you do it. You just put us through something.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Do it. We'll film it and put it up on Patreon.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Can I No, I'd actually rather wax your back.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Wax my back's not that bad.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Sound like, I'm not saying it's like super hairy, but
- 5:27Speaker 2: I would be more enjoyable for me than your legs
- 5:29Speaker 2: for some reason why, I don't know, because it feels
- 5:31Speaker 2: like it would be more torture.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Okay, okay, you can wax my back. If I get
- 5:36Speaker 1: to wax.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Your back, I don't really have hair on my back.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Or do you dune dumb?
- 5:44Speaker 2: I guess we'll find.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Out next time on Wicked in Griff Sorry.
- 5:48Speaker 2: That can be our next special episode.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Could you imagine it just be a screaming into the microphones.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I've gotten waxed before, though, so like, I think I'd
- 5:56Speaker 2: be able to handle it better than you.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I've gotten like tree pit stuck in my arm hair
- 6:02Speaker 1: and stuff.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the same thing. I'm sure love.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it rips that shit out, it does.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Okay, anyway, you're in the doghouse. Nobody likes you right now,
- 6:11Speaker 2: which is awesome because I feel like I get in
- 6:13Speaker 2: trouble a lot. So yay, yay, it's not me this time.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Well, I'm sorry for making everyone very upset. But but
- 6:22Speaker 1: Judith Barzy, I definitely want to share her story.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It was a story that deserved to be shared. So no,
- 6:28Speaker 2: no fault to you whatsoever.
- 6:29Speaker 1: However, I could have maybe not have played like, you know,
- 6:32Speaker 1: her final recorded lines ever that those were things that yeah, okay,
- 6:37Speaker 1: I could have omitted.
- 6:37Speaker 2: But yeah, but it was good to hear those.
- 6:40Speaker 1: It was.
- 6:41Speaker 2: It was a good podcast.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Okay, Well let's move on to the questions and the answers.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Okay, I'll start us off number one here, Okay, Okay,
- 6:48Speaker 2: so this is a Patreon. We'll start with Patreon. Then
- 6:51Speaker 2: we'll go through like Insta and we had Facebook and
- 6:54Speaker 2: then we had Instant Stories. So Mandy said, if you
- 6:58Speaker 2: had to do a podcast but true crime wasn't an option,
- 7:02Speaker 2: what topic would you do?
- 7:04Speaker 1: Oh Snam, Yeah, I think we probably do like a
- 7:09Speaker 1: lifestyle because I mean, we're living in a tiny home.
- 7:13Speaker 1: We made quite a big change. Okay, you're now chasing
- 7:17Speaker 1: your passion. I'm now doing my uh nine to five
- 7:20Speaker 1: of choice, and I've got the passions on the side
- 7:23Speaker 1: and stuff too, So I would say I think it's
- 7:26Speaker 1: going to be, yeah, like a lifestyle one or something.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I couldn't well my initial lot when that was business related.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I could see myself doing a business related podcast of sorts.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know.
- 7:39Speaker 2: There's a lot of business ones out there, like photographers
- 7:41Speaker 2: who have who are doing photography based podcasts, but then
- 7:44Speaker 2: also just about the entrepreneurship side of it and stuff too,
- 7:48Speaker 2: So I could see that you're very business savvy that way.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I think it'd go well too.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we'd do pretty good at that. Yeah. Also,
- 7:58Speaker 1: I have a question for you. Where are you on
- 7:59Speaker 1: our list? Because you sent me the lists here through email.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Of all the questions, I can't find the question you
- 8:03Speaker 1: just asked.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I'm on Patreon. You that's not on the lists.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Oh, because you sent me a Patreon I know.
- 8:09Speaker 2: But I told you. Okay, this question if anyone wanted
- 8:13Speaker 2: to know but didn't want to answer, does Ben listen
- 8:16Speaker 2: to anything I have to say?
- 8:17Speaker 1: And the answer no, no, yes, I do. What kind
- 8:21Speaker 1: of shade you throw in right now?
- 8:23Speaker 2: Holy shit? No. I literally was like, yeah, that one's
- 8:25Speaker 2: labeled Patreon, but it's actually not Patreon.
- 8:27Speaker 1: And then you're like, okay, well if it's labeled patreon,
- 8:31Speaker 1: I know, why did you label it patreon?
- 8:33Speaker 2: I can be very unorganized.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Five minutes before we started this, you were like
- 8:37Speaker 1: turning our tiny home apart.
- 8:39Speaker 2: I keep losing shit and I don't normally losings. Okay,
- 8:43Speaker 2: so do you know where we are?
- 8:44Speaker 1: Love, So you're losing your marbles? I can tell you
- 8:46Speaker 1: that you're actually on Patreon?
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah, because okay, so yeah, I just wanted to go
- 8:50Speaker 2: through Patreon ones. It's easier on the phone, but then
- 8:53Speaker 2: like comments and stuff, sometimes they get they're weird. So
- 8:57Speaker 2: those ones I copied and pasted to documents. So okay,
- 9:01Speaker 2: now that everybody knows where.
- 9:03Speaker 1: We're at, everybody being me. Okay, thank you for throwing
- 9:08Speaker 1: that shade again.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Okay, do you want to ask the second one or
- 9:12Speaker 2: do you want me?
- 9:12Speaker 1: I'm still opening up the Patreon thing here.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Oh you're doing that on the computer right yeah? Okay,
- 9:17Speaker 2: well I'll hold it up for you.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I accidentally just closed Patreon, So I've got to do
- 9:21Speaker 1: it all over again. No, go ahead, go ahead, I'll
- 9:23Speaker 1: catch up here.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Okay. So the next question comes from Remil and this
- 9:29Speaker 2: is a doozy. This is a doozy. It says, if
- 9:32Speaker 2: you could save anyone from any of the cases you've covered,
- 9:36Speaker 2: who would it be?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Okay, this is this is a loaded question because there's
- 9:42Speaker 1: no right answer.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I know. Well, that's just like it's almost heartbreaking. How
- 9:46Speaker 2: would you choose?
- 9:47Speaker 1: There's no right answer. But there's also no wrong answer either,
- 9:50Speaker 1: So I've.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Actually, oh, there are there would be wrong answers.
- 9:53Speaker 1: So well, who would you save?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Okay? No, I guess for the wrong answers. I was
- 9:59Speaker 2: thinking like the the jerk, the perpetrators and stuff.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Yeah, no, fuck them their douce canoes. We know that already.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I actually put a lot of thought into this one,
- 10:09Speaker 1: and I haven't thought of specific names. There's two specific
- 10:12Speaker 1: names that do come to mind. Judith, of course, because
- 10:15Speaker 1: jud holds a very special place for me particular, so
- 10:18Speaker 1: Judith being one of the options. The other option would
- 10:22Speaker 1: be Junco Feruda, yes, because she went through literally forty
- 10:25Speaker 1: four days of absolute torture.
- 10:28Speaker 2: The question was one person I know.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So those are two options i'd go to. I would
- 10:34Speaker 1: have to really look for a specific name. I'd have
- 10:37Speaker 1: to really do deep research on this, But my answer
- 10:40Speaker 1: would be someone who their killer is unknown, Okay, because
- 10:50Speaker 1: I think if I can find someone where they their
- 10:52Speaker 1: perpetrator is unknown but is most likely killed others than
- 10:57Speaker 1: in saving that person, they might be able to tell
- 11:00Speaker 1: me who the killer was and we could also prevent
- 11:03Speaker 1: other deaths. Dang, that's who. I don't know who that
- 11:06Speaker 1: would be, but I would want to find someone like that.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Okay, I actually really like that answer. That's quite good. Okay, well,
- 11:14Speaker 2: I picked a person for this one, but I kind
- 11:18Speaker 2: of now feel like a dink because I feel like
- 11:21Speaker 2: your answer is way better. But Sylvia likens the girl
- 11:27Speaker 2: in the basement that that case kind of destroyed me
- 11:32Speaker 2: a little. I'm not gonna lie, Like just the shit
- 11:35Speaker 2: that that person had to endure, I mean, they all
- 11:37Speaker 2: have to endure so much, which she was young and like,
- 11:41Speaker 2: oh just so helpless, like I just I don't know.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Well, I mean she was just thrown in the basement,
- 11:47Speaker 1: like she was.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Nothing, basically like trash, and she's the opposite of that.
- 11:51Speaker 2: So that's who I'm gonna.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Pick that's totally respectable. I understand that wholeheartedly.
- 11:56Speaker 2: But I like the idea of someone being able to say,
- 11:59Speaker 2: picking someone who can save others.
- 12:01Speaker 1: That's good. Okay, I got the questions up now, too awesome, Okay,
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'll ask the next one here. Sounds good, So Jamie asks,
- 12:08Speaker 1: once the rona is over, what would be your dream
- 12:12Speaker 1: vacation together? And what has been your favorite places that
- 12:15Speaker 1: you've already been to? What would your dream vacation be?
- 12:25Speaker 2: I would actually love to go over to Ireland at
- 12:27Speaker 2: some point. I think that would be pretty awesome. So
- 12:30Speaker 2: right now, I'm going to say that.
- 12:34Speaker 1: One hundred percent agree. I'm not going to say Ireland specifically,
- 12:37Speaker 1: but somewhere kind of in that area, maybe Scotland or
- 12:40Speaker 1: Ireland I want to specifically. I do want to go
- 12:43Speaker 1: to Scotland and see like the Blair Castle, I want
- 12:46Speaker 1: to do the Whiskey Trail, but I want to visit
- 12:48Speaker 1: a couple other countries over there. But yeah, definitely somewhere
- 12:51Speaker 1: over over in that region, for sure.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I would love to go back to New York and
- 12:56Speaker 2: stuff again. But like how you feel, I guess I
- 12:59Speaker 2: could see myself doing that a little bit easier than
- 13:01Speaker 2: going to Ireland. So that's why I'm picking. Ireland is
- 13:03Speaker 2: like a dream fair and vacation.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So now, what's your favorite place we've been to so far?
- 13:08Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, we've done quite a few things.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Because we've done like the the Mexico trips.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Yeah, we've done that a couple of times. We did Jamaica.
- 13:18Speaker 2: We did.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I'm Orlando.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go, thank.
- 13:24Speaker 1: You did Orlando. We went over like down in the
- 13:26Speaker 1: Seattle area. Well, we've done a lot of like British Columbia,
- 13:31Speaker 1: which is where we're from, but British Columbia is it's
- 13:33Speaker 1: a fairly large province.
- 13:34Speaker 2: On Idaguay we've done.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I love I love it. I love the coast of
- 13:38Speaker 1: British Columbia Tofino absolutely amazing.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Okay, honestly, this is so funny. Okay, I loved her
- 13:46Speaker 2: Orlando trip a lot. But if I'm going to choose also,
- 13:50Speaker 2: I honestly feel like when we went to Seattle and
- 13:53Speaker 2: Portland and then we also did the Okanagan and did
- 13:57Speaker 2: wine touring, like like quite a long road trip. Actually
- 14:00Speaker 2: that was really nice. It was, so I'm going to
- 14:03Speaker 2: choose that one. Okay, I love road tripping with you.
- 14:07Speaker 2: You're probably just like, oh my gosh, no, I'm stuck
- 14:09Speaker 2: in a car for fourteen hours.
- 14:11Speaker 1: What is she going to ask me? She's not gonna
- 14:12Speaker 1: stop talking.
- 14:13Speaker 2: No.
- 14:13Speaker 1: We usually throw on some tunes and have a good time.
- 14:16Speaker 1: So yeah, and then once in a while you'll drink
- 14:18Speaker 1: an energy drink and get get absolutely insane.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Okay, there was. Remember I also had a cold and
- 14:25Speaker 2: I end up taking the night time pill, which and
- 14:28Speaker 2: then an energy drink on top of it, which contribute
- 14:31Speaker 2: to my delusion. And here I'm driving your ass home.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I hope you felt real safe.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I did not feel safe.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Okay, you're good there, Yeah, to go ahead. Did you
- 14:41Speaker 2: even pick one? Though? You didn't even pick one?
- 14:44Speaker 1: Oh? Anytime we go to Taffino okay, yeah, like the
- 14:47Speaker 1: Victoria trip when we went I went to that little
- 14:50Speaker 1: record shop into Yeah, yeah, yeah. You like the island,
- 14:54Speaker 1: Vancouver Island. I love Vancouver Island.
- 14:55Speaker 2: We're gonna move there one day.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Just throwing that out there, probably.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Okay, So Sarah said, if you had to get one
- 15:01Speaker 2: thing tattooed on your forehead.
- 15:04Speaker 1: What would it be? Oh?
- 15:05Speaker 2: Snap, huh that okay, I didn't think of this. Ahead
- 15:10Speaker 2: of time.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Wow, okay, I would There's two roads I would go down.
- 15:18Speaker 1: There's one to really get a reaction from other people. Yeah,
- 15:22Speaker 1: or there's one to really represent something in particular, for example,
- 15:26Speaker 1: like a third eye.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Or something Katie's revenge.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, there you go that. Oh that is good. Wow,
- 15:33Speaker 1: that is really good. I was thinking like an Illuminati
- 15:37Speaker 1: eye or something like that, just make people really think.
- 15:41Speaker 2: I don't know, I would probably get something pretty subtle,
- 15:44Speaker 2: to be honest, that's just like maybe in the corner
- 15:47Speaker 2: room before it. That's just kind of cute.
- 15:50Speaker 1: See maybe a little dude, like on a lawnmower when
- 15:53Speaker 1: I start going bald, a little dude.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Oh, I kind of think that's funny. That's cute.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Well, like a little man mowing blond and then I'm
- 15:59Speaker 1: going bald, right, I like it. I'd probably do that
- 16:01Speaker 1: once I start aging a little bit yet, throw a
- 16:03Speaker 1: little dude up there. I mean my hairline start aging.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I know I'm thirty four as it is, or am
- 16:09Speaker 1: I thirty five? I'm thirty four, right, No thirty five,
- 16:11Speaker 1: No thirty four? Thirty four yeah, okay, I don't even
- 16:13Speaker 1: know my own age.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I'm only thirty three.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Yeah, my hairline is receding slightly, not terribly yet, but
- 16:20Speaker 1: is there so maybe a little man up in that
- 16:21Speaker 1: top corner.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty dang good for like grays and stuff.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Yeah, fair enough, very good. Uh So, next up we
- 16:28Speaker 1: got Bronson, who, ironically enough, is one of my tattoos.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, from Vancouver.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Yeah, so if you need a tattoo, hit up Bronson
- 16:35Speaker 1: down in Vancouver.
- 16:37Speaker 2: He's a man in town.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Yep. So which episode are you especially proud of? Are
- 16:43Speaker 1: there any that you would have liked to release as
- 16:45Speaker 1: an extended cut or revisit? Oh, revisit Gabby Patito. I'd
- 16:52Speaker 1: definitely like to visit that because I think we rush that.
- 16:56Speaker 1: We were like, oh, let's do this one because it's
- 16:58Speaker 1: like big news right now. We try to like jump
- 16:59Speaker 1: off the hype of it. So I'd like to revisit
- 17:02Speaker 1: it and do that case better joke, which I think
- 17:04Speaker 1: we will. We will. One I'm particularly proud of, I
- 17:10Speaker 1: think is that Lulu Lemon Murder one. Oh my gosh.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you had everyone like you shocked everyone really
- 17:15Speaker 2: with what happened.
- 17:16Speaker 1: It was like what well, it was a really good story,
- 17:19Speaker 1: and I'm really proud of how I was able to
- 17:21Speaker 1: tell a good story in that one. Yeah, but I
- 17:23Speaker 1: am also kind of proud that I made so many
- 17:26Speaker 1: people cry with Judith. So wow, it's like I got
- 17:30Speaker 1: to you guys.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I'll look into Ben's art. Yeah, I actually feel like
- 17:36Speaker 2: the picked in one I'm I'm kind of proud of,
- 17:39Speaker 2: just like that was a massive case and it was
- 17:41Speaker 2: kind of one I'd been putting off a lot and
- 17:43Speaker 2: then I was like, I'm gonna just do it and
- 17:45Speaker 2: it was it turned out good. And then the other one,
- 17:48Speaker 2: what the other Sarah Everard, I told a pretty good
- 17:51Speaker 2: story on that one, made pretty deflatable actually, So yeah.
- 17:55Speaker 1: What about extended cut? Anyones that you would like want
- 17:57Speaker 1: to do a deep dive into?
- 18:00Speaker 2: Well, I've always wanted to do a cult, a cult
- 18:04Speaker 2: episode or episodes and do a deep dive in something
- 18:07Speaker 2: like that. But I can't think of one per se
- 18:09Speaker 2: that I've already done.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I don't think there's any that I really want to do,
- 18:13Speaker 1: like a major deep dive into, because what I really
- 18:16Speaker 1: like is I like giving like ninety to ninety five
- 18:19Speaker 1: percent of the information. I don't like giving it all
- 18:22Speaker 1: because I do want people to kind of dive in
- 18:24Speaker 1: on their own and discover new things. I want them
- 18:26Speaker 1: to find that attachment and be able to say I
- 18:29Speaker 1: really want to find out more and still have more
- 18:32Speaker 1: information to go find, you know.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yeah, like kind of heighten their curiosity a little, right exactly. Yeah, No, that's.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Cool, And I think that also builds up like a
- 18:40Speaker 1: personal relationship with this with thedividual's story is if you
- 18:44Speaker 1: specifically are going and learning more about it, you are
- 18:46Speaker 1: making that attachment. You are going in doing it, you know. So,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I don't know if there's specific ones I'd want to
- 18:52Speaker 1: do and extend it on that I can think of.
- 18:54Speaker 2: One I would like to take away is the Donnalleys.
- 18:59Speaker 1: It's not that it's the case, it's the episode. Oh
- 19:01Speaker 1: my gosh.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Yeah, we've talked about that before, but that was a
- 19:04Speaker 2: train wreck. If you ever want to laugh about anything,
- 19:06Speaker 2: go listen to that one. Like I literally was Spiraling.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Episode number five. That is one of my favorite episodes
- 19:12Speaker 1: because it was hilarious.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Oh it was I was so nervous. It was just
- 19:16Speaker 2: a train wreck.
- 19:17Speaker 1: It was good.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Okay, So Samantha, she says, if you could solve any
- 19:22Speaker 2: cold case, which one would you choose to solve? PS
- 19:25Speaker 2: love that you guys are doing a Q and a nice.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I would go with an old school because there's still
- 19:32Speaker 1: a chance for some of these newer cold cases to
- 19:36Speaker 1: be solved, just like, for example, the Zodiac Killer was
- 19:39Speaker 1: like in the past year suddenly solved, right, So I'd
- 19:42Speaker 1: want to go with one where it's like there's no
- 19:44Speaker 1: chance of it really being solved, something like Jack the Ripper.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, I thought that you would say, the Black Dohlia, know,
- 19:50Speaker 2: the very first one that you did.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Oh is that a cold case for the out past?
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, the Dombinet I'd really like to see salved.
- 20:00Speaker 2: It seemed like it potentially is or.
- 20:02Speaker 1: It might be it might be on that track right now. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 1: but yeah no, uh, diatlift past. Yeah, actually, now that
- 20:08Speaker 1: you pointed out, yeah, I would like to solve that one.
- 20:10Speaker 2: That one would be very interesting to see what the
- 20:13Speaker 2: fuck actually happened there.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Yes, and that's one that I don't think ever will
- 20:16Speaker 1: be solved, So yeah, no, that would be my answer. Percent.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you forgot about that one, didn't you.
- 20:22Speaker 1: For a brief moment I did, which that's like my
- 20:24Speaker 1: all time favorite case, So I can't believe I did
- 20:26Speaker 1: forget about Yeah.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Well, that's what I'm here for. Well, mind you shit.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Amanda asks if you could interview anyone from a case,
- 20:34Speaker 1: victim or villain, just to know their side thoughts, who
- 20:38Speaker 1: would it be? WHOA, that's deep. I don't know if
- 20:44Speaker 1: there's any.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Oh, I would want it to interview a villain.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I don't think I would want to interview a villain.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I don't want to give them that voice and platform.
- 20:53Speaker 2: No, I agree, I'd be shitting my pants. But I
- 20:55Speaker 2: would actually be very curious, very curious to get inside
- 20:59Speaker 2: like their head.
- 20:59Speaker 1: And as for victim, I'm again going to go someone
- 21:02Speaker 1: who's unsolved because then there's things we can learn, there's
- 21:05Speaker 1: potentially someone we could find.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Yeah, so this is gonna this is gonna blow your
- 21:10Speaker 2: mind a bit. But the the toy box killer.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Really I would interview him. Oh God, fuck that guy.
- 21:17Speaker 2: I know he's a complete disgusting piece of crap. I
- 21:21Speaker 2: would oh, but I think it would be interesting. If
- 21:25Speaker 2: I was going to interview someone, I'd want to interview
- 21:28Speaker 2: like one of the worst.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I don't know why, but I would pull a full
- 21:33Speaker 1: on Doctor Phil to that motherfucker, because Doctor Phil he
- 21:38Speaker 1: did an episode where he interviewed that I can't remember
- 21:40Speaker 1: the guy's name, but he was the creator of bum fights.
- 21:42Speaker 1: He would literally like give bums drugs to fight what. Yeah,
- 21:48Speaker 1: he'd like here the winner gets like these crack rocks.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Basically here is they haven't heard of this?
- 21:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like a thing in early two thousands,
- 21:53Speaker 1: like around Jackass era. Yeah, it's called bum fights. Anyways,
- 21:56Speaker 1: Doctor Phil had this guy on his show, and I
- 21:59Speaker 1: believe this guy even showed up dressed up as Doctor Phil,
- 22:02Speaker 1: like shaved his head as wow, preceding hairline and everything. Anyways,
- 22:06Speaker 1: Doctor Phil brought this guy on his show to kick
- 22:09Speaker 1: him off his show. Nice, right, that's what I do. Like,
- 22:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna interview you when I sit down with him
- 22:14Speaker 1: and like get the fuck out. Yeah.
- 22:16Speaker 2: No, that's fair. That's totally fair. Okay, Sheila. When researching
- 22:22Speaker 2: Slash watching true crime, what interests you more the detective
- 22:27Speaker 2: work or the forensics?
- 22:28Speaker 1: Ooh, that's a good question. Forensics.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I was going to say forensics as well.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Yeah. I get mad at detective works sometimes because sometimes
- 22:37Speaker 1: it's just so bad or they ignore things. Yeah, forensics
- 22:41Speaker 1: never lie.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I really it's Yeah, it's very interesting to
- 22:45Speaker 2: see what they can test and what comes out and stuff, right, Yeah,
- 22:49Speaker 2: and then like you said, it's pretty pretty much the true.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Tiffany, if you could visit one place in the States,
- 22:56Speaker 1: where would you go? And why cough cough, Alabama is
- 22:58Speaker 1: pretty cool? Heard, it's actually pretty cool there. Yeah. Oh,
- 23:03Speaker 1: that's a good one place in the States. I'm like
- 23:09Speaker 1: drawing a blank on anywhere that is in the States
- 23:11Speaker 1: right now. Wow, United States? Where is that?
- 23:15Speaker 2: I don't know. The places that come to my mind
- 23:17Speaker 2: are places I've already been, Like, I'm obsessed with San Francisco, obsessed.
- 23:21Speaker 2: I don't know if I've said that before. And New
- 23:23Speaker 2: York also love so New York. Probably if I'm going
- 23:28Speaker 2: to pick a place to go to the States right now,
- 23:30Speaker 2: New York will be top of my list because I
- 23:32Speaker 2: was only there like a couple of days. I ended
- 23:33Speaker 2: up getting really sick and I was by myself, and
- 23:36Speaker 2: I'd like to kind of redo that trip. So I
- 23:38Speaker 2: want to say New York.
- 23:39Speaker 1: That's that's a fair I wouldn't mind visiting New York.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I would get very sick of it very quick.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I'm sure it's wild, like it's a pretty cool place.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I could imagine, I think for me it's going
- 23:53Speaker 1: to be out in Nevada area fifty one.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah. You can't really get there though, can
- 23:59Speaker 2: you know?
- 23:59Speaker 1: But you can get to the gate, which is like
- 24:01Speaker 1: if you're standing at the gate, like SUVs will pull
- 24:04Speaker 1: up on the hillside and there's like people watching you
- 24:06Speaker 1: and there's like arm guards and shits, Like when you're
- 24:08Speaker 1: standing there, you probably have a rifle pointed at your head.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Cool. Chicago would be another cool place. San Diego's all
- 24:17Speaker 2: my list as well, but I'm going there in November,
- 24:18Speaker 2: so I.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Wouldn't mind going to San Diego for Sandygo Comic Con.
- 24:22Speaker 1: The only reason I've avoided it so far is I
- 24:24Speaker 1: can imagine how busy it is.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, you ready, I'm ready, Michelle. Is the goal
- 24:31Speaker 2: to do podcasting full time and not have your other jobs?
- 24:36Speaker 1: For me? One hundred percent? I would. I'm actually I've
- 24:40Speaker 1: been taking classes as voice acting and stuff too. I
- 24:42Speaker 1: would love to do this for a living one hundred percent.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Whether it's with Wicked and Grim because maybe it's not
- 24:49Speaker 1: your thing and I evolve into some other projects as well,
- 24:53Speaker 1: but one hundred percent for me.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I think it'd be pretty awesome just to have one focus,
- 24:58Speaker 2: but I also love photography so much that it's like
- 25:02Speaker 2: a part of me. And I'm not sure I could
- 25:04Speaker 2: ever see myself not taking photos, that's really I can't.
- 25:07Speaker 2: I can't see a future without that. So I could
- 25:10Speaker 2: see myself cutting back in then and like focusing more
- 25:13Speaker 2: on the podcast potentially.
- 25:15Speaker 1: So that's that's a fair answer. You're good with photos,
- 25:18Speaker 1: so yeah, they keep going out what you're good at
- 25:21Speaker 1: and what you love, right?
- 25:21Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 25:22Speaker 1: Yeah, Shenise, what cold case do you want solved the most? Again?
- 25:26Speaker 1: Diatl pas?
- 25:27Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, we kind of answered that one above. Ah, yeah,
- 25:30Speaker 2: there are going to be a few people that ask
- 25:32Speaker 2: the same things. So yeah, okay, why don't you do
- 25:36Speaker 2: the next one too? Then? Uh?
- 25:37Speaker 1: Leah, what case have each of you covered that has
- 25:40Speaker 1: given you the most sleepless nights?
- 25:45Speaker 2: I got an answer, I'm going.
- 25:47Speaker 1: To say right now. I generally sleep very good at night.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I don't usually have sleepless nights, but it's a how
- 25:53Speaker 1: long do I think about the case afterwards? How many
- 25:55Speaker 1: days it is it on my mind? Yeah, Toy box
- 25:58Speaker 1: Killers stayed in my head for all long time, but
- 26:01Speaker 1: the one that still stays up to my head to
- 26:04Speaker 1: this day is Rodney al Calla.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Oh really, hey, the Dating game caller. Yeah, okay, I
- 26:09Speaker 2: thought you were gonna say d Junko.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Well, definitely her as well, but Rodney al call It.
- 26:13Speaker 1: It's his body count is some astronomical number, like they
- 26:16Speaker 1: expected to be over one hundred and forty or something
- 26:19Speaker 1: like that estimated. That's crazy, right, Like I cannot imagine. Wow,
- 26:24Speaker 1: that's unconfirmed, but that's their estimate of being somewhere gusting.
- 26:28Speaker 1: So I think Rodney al Calla is one that's stuck
- 26:31Speaker 1: with me for a long time.
- 26:33Speaker 2: I'm actually gonna say, really, the most recent one I did,
- 26:36Speaker 2: the Richardson murders. That one actually had me pretty fucked
- 26:39Speaker 2: up for a while because I think I dove into
- 26:43Speaker 2: that case extremely deeply, like read the book. It was
- 26:47Speaker 2: just like top of mine kind of all the time
- 26:49Speaker 2: for like two weeks pretty much, and it was yeah,
- 26:54Speaker 2: got me. That one got me. I think it's just
- 26:56Speaker 2: because yeah, I was like, eat, what is it? What's
- 26:59Speaker 2: the saying eat, sleep, breathe the Richardson's.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know. Yeah, no, that's fair.
- 27:05Speaker 2: So yeah, there you go.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Am I reading the next one.
- 27:09Speaker 2: I don't even know who read them.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Sure, I can't remember, I'll do that. What podcasts do
- 27:13Speaker 1: you listen to? What podcasts would you love to guess on? Okay,
- 27:19Speaker 1: are you an answer? Okay, well I asked the question.
- 27:22Speaker 1: You're just staring at me.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Now, that's true. Okay, So I am not a huge
- 27:26Speaker 2: podcast listener, which is probably shocking. I like to listen
- 27:30Speaker 2: to audible books. It's kind of what I'm doing most
- 27:33Speaker 2: of the time if I'm like just listening to something.
- 27:35Speaker 2: But I will occasionally listen to Morbid Canadian True Crime.
- 27:40Speaker 2: I also like the podcast Serial Killers. I don't know
- 27:43Speaker 2: if you've listened to that, Yeah, Crime Drunkie occasionally, and
- 27:46Speaker 2: then I do have some business podcasts that I listened to.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Us. Well, I'm I'm not a big podcast listener, so
- 27:55Speaker 1: neither of us are really I started out, like last year,
- 27:59Speaker 1: listening to a lot of podcasts, but now I don't
- 28:02Speaker 1: listen to a lot. I huge on music. I love music,
- 28:05Speaker 1: and I'm bouncing around genres all the time and I
- 28:07Speaker 1: pretty much have music on twenty four to seven. But
- 28:10Speaker 1: when I do listen to podcasts, I'm usually listening regarding
- 28:15Speaker 1: a topic that I'm currently interested in, whether it's a
- 28:18Speaker 1: case i'm researching, and I'll go to say Morbid for example.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I have listened to them a lot, but I'll go
- 28:24Speaker 1: to Morbid for example, and I'll listen to their case
- 28:26Speaker 1: while I'm driving to work and stuff. Yeah, so before
- 28:28Speaker 1: I research, I know the basics on what I'm researching.
- 28:33Speaker 2: And you're like a big YouTuber too, yes, right, yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's I just love content in general. It's
- 28:40Speaker 1: so hard for me to stick to one. I bounce around,
- 28:43Speaker 1: Like if I'm doing a case research, I'll listen to
- 28:45Speaker 1: Morbid on one. Next episode, I'll listen to dark Poutine
- 28:47Speaker 1: next episode, I'm listening to small Town Dicks, And I'm
- 28:50Speaker 1: going all around and I'm listening to pieces of Everybody.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, So Michelle, how long does it typically take
- 29:00Speaker 2: to create a podcast episode, research, recording, and social media?
- 29:04Speaker 1: Long time? Forever. I managed to do it a little
- 29:10Speaker 1: bit quicker than Nicole sometimes you do for me, usually
- 29:14Speaker 1: around eight hours of research per episode, and I think
- 29:18Speaker 1: you you might be around like nine or ten at.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Least probably, Yeah, Like that's just the research. So then
- 29:24Speaker 2: so then you're researching, and then it's about an hour
- 29:28Speaker 2: or so to record, and then bend does all the
- 29:30Speaker 2: stuff afterwards, which takes you like another hour or so.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Yeah, So I do the editing and uploading and all
- 29:36Speaker 1: that good stuff.
- 29:37Speaker 2: And then whoever did the case does the social media
- 29:41Speaker 2: the next day. And that's not really that long. That's
- 29:43Speaker 2: not that we don't post a shit ton on our
- 29:46Speaker 2: social media, Like it's mostly just on Tuesdays and stuff, right,
- 29:52Speaker 2: but sometimes we spend a bit more time on social
- 29:53Speaker 2: media if we have it.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'd say you're looking at probably at least
- 29:58Speaker 1: twelve hours an episode.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Yeah, at least at least yep, which is wild, Like,
- 30:05Speaker 2: that's so long.
- 30:06Speaker 1: It is. Tracy music is my go to when I'm stressed?
- 30:10Speaker 1: What is yours music for me? One hundred percent already
- 30:13Speaker 1: mentioned I'm big on music and have it going all the.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Time, just to continuing stressed.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Yeah, is mine fair enough? Also, having a drink after
- 30:23Speaker 1: a long day at work, it's not so much like
- 30:25Speaker 1: the alcohol I need to get drunk. It's just it's
- 30:28Speaker 1: no different than having a coffee in the morning. It's
- 30:30Speaker 1: just it's a nice hug, you know.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I used to I'll be all about taking baths.
- 30:35Speaker 2: I'm not super into that with the tiny home, just
- 30:37Speaker 2: because we're like the water I feel like is more.
- 30:40Speaker 2: It's not an issue, but it's just my head a little.
- 30:42Speaker 2: We don't have like you can't just turn your tap
- 30:43Speaker 2: on kind of thing. Yeah, but I do love just
- 30:46Speaker 2: like going outside too. That's a big one for me.
- 30:48Speaker 2: If I need a break, I'll just walk outside, take
- 30:52Speaker 2: five minutes or so.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Fair enough, cuddle the doggles a bit too.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Yes, I love that.
- 30:57Speaker 1: So B asks have you guys ever been Bugaboo Creek?
- 31:01Speaker 1: There used to be a restaurant chain that was Canadian
- 31:03Speaker 1: themed in the US named after it. Every time I
- 31:06Speaker 1: go there, pretty much saying curious about if anyone has ever,
- 31:10Speaker 1: if she knows anyone? Or sorry, they know anyone. I
- 31:13Speaker 1: don't want to assume genders. My apologies if I did,
- 31:17Speaker 1: but yeah, do we just do they know anyone who's
- 31:20Speaker 1: who's been there?
- 31:21Speaker 2: I don't know what that is?
- 31:22Speaker 1: Bugaboo Creek is actually just outside of Golden.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Oh, seriously, you know what this is?
- 31:26Speaker 1: Yeah? Oh? Which Nicole is from Golden No, I'm not
- 31:32Speaker 1: well kind of.
- 31:33Speaker 2: I was never living there. My sister did.
- 31:35Speaker 1: I thought you did live there for for a little
- 31:37Speaker 1: like a year or something.
- 31:38Speaker 2: No, I wasn't My family lived there before I was born.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Oh, okay, that's what it was. Okay, Well, Nicole's family's
- 31:43Speaker 1: from Golden so there we go. But no, I haven't been.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Probably I'm like, what's that.
- 31:51Speaker 1: I mean, it looks like it's an absolute beautiful area
- 31:54Speaker 1: b C. So I can imagine it's it's gorgeous.
- 31:56Speaker 2: So the Cootoney's is one area of BC that I
- 31:59Speaker 2: need to explore more are Fair because like that's the
- 32:02Speaker 2: Is it the Cootonies?
- 32:04Speaker 1: No, I don't think it's cooteneyes? Is it? I don't know.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Now I'm like, don't even know what the Cootones like
- 32:10Speaker 2: Nelson and stuff. Isn't the Cootenes I thought Golden was.
- 32:14Speaker 2: But maybe I'm totally off here.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I'm on Google Maps right now looking.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, there's not I'm not familiar even with all
- 32:22Speaker 2: parts of our province and I would like to get
- 32:24Speaker 2: more familiar.
- 32:25Speaker 1: So okay, now that's totally in the Cooties.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, I thought, so yeah.
- 32:29Speaker 1: That's uh mountains. Yeah, that's basically right between Kamloops and Calgary,
- 32:33Speaker 1: south of Golden right by Revelstoke Okay, yeah, yep, or
- 32:38Speaker 1: by Radium Hot Springs yeah, gorgeous area in there.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Okay, so that took care of all of our Patreon questions.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Where do you want to move on to next? Do
- 32:47Speaker 2: you want to do insta?
- 32:49Speaker 1: Sure? Is that actually the instant docucent it is? Okay?
- 32:52Speaker 1: What is the Patreon docusent me? What does that? Then?
- 32:54Speaker 2: That is Instagram stories?
- 32:57Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, okay, so let's hit up Instagram first. Okay, Okay,
- 33:02Speaker 1: I'll let you read the first one. Go for it.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Okay. So it's from Sage Beauty PG. Why a true
- 33:08Speaker 2: crime podcast? I'll let you answer this.
- 33:11Speaker 1: You're going to answering that well. Before the podcast started,
- 33:15Speaker 1: I actually had another podcast. I believe it's off air
- 33:18Speaker 1: and now you can't find it on the internet. Might
- 33:20Speaker 1: be able to find an episode or two. I was
- 33:22Speaker 1: called insert creative title, where I interviewed creative individuals and
- 33:27Speaker 1: you interviewed me once I did. I Actually I had
- 33:30Speaker 1: some big names on the show. I call me Chris
- 33:33Speaker 1: I talked to Yeah. But I love doing podcasts. I
- 33:38Speaker 1: love content creation. But I was having a lot of
- 33:41Speaker 1: trouble with guests bailing on me and consistency, and I
- 33:44Speaker 1: was like, God, I want to do something with someone
- 33:47Speaker 1: who I know, can be like relied on and relied
- 33:52Speaker 1: on episode after episode after episode. Thus my wife.
- 33:56Speaker 2: So I was like, Okay, glad that I'm reliable.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Well, I mean it you live in the same house.
- 34:01Speaker 1: It makes sense, right, Yeah, yeah, I know what you're saying.
- 34:03Speaker 1: So that approached, you know, it's like, we should do
- 34:04Speaker 1: a podcast together because it'd be great for us to.
- 34:07Speaker 1: At that time, we were like, we do so many
- 34:09Speaker 1: things apart, we need to do more things together.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:11Speaker 1: So it's like, let's do something together. How about creating
- 34:13Speaker 1: a podcast. I love content creation. Let's make that content
- 34:18Speaker 1: about something you love. And I was like, what about
- 34:20Speaker 1: true crime? True crime's growing in popularity. At that time,
- 34:25Speaker 1: there was like no husband and wife duos right doing
- 34:28Speaker 1: true crime podcasts. I'm like, so it's something unique, why not? Yeah,
- 34:32Speaker 1: So we hopped on it.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gone really well. I don't know how. Was
- 34:35Speaker 2: I pretty amped right away or was I pretty hesitant?
- 34:37Speaker 1: I kind of remember you were hesitant for sure.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Just the time. Mostly they always seem like we lack
- 34:43Speaker 2: time and then we're adding something else to the plate.
- 34:45Speaker 1: So mm hmm.
- 34:46Speaker 2: But yeah, no, I don't regret it. It's it is
- 34:49Speaker 2: a lot of work. But it's it pays off like immensely.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Yeah. So next question is, what is something that you
- 34:56Speaker 1: have learned that is mind blowing or is something that
- 34:59Speaker 1: really sticks with you today? Oh that is so much. Okay.
- 35:04Speaker 1: The biggest thing for me is there so many people
- 35:06Speaker 1: who just don't ask questions, who don't report things. Someone's
- 35:09Speaker 1: talking about something like Judith Barzi. How many times did
- 35:14Speaker 1: her father say I'm gonna kill her, I'm gonna kill her,
- 35:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna kill her, and people just like, oh, yeah,
- 35:18Speaker 1: sure and they didn't say anything. That blows my mind
- 35:21Speaker 1: every fucking time that people don't speak up.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Yeah. Well there was that other one though, that blew
- 35:27Speaker 2: your mind. The was it Celebrity Killer? Is that what
- 35:31Speaker 2: it was called?
- 35:32Speaker 1: I can't even remember which episode that is?
- 35:35Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, uh oh, I can't remember his name,
- 35:39Speaker 2: but remember he like got famous pretty much after and.
- 35:42Speaker 1: People interview him. Yeah, trying to remember he was over
- 35:47Speaker 1: in Japan, was it or something?
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 35:51Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I totally know between you're talking about. I
- 35:54Speaker 1: say Yagawa, right yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, okay,
- 35:57Speaker 1: yeah yeah, the celebrity Cannibal right, okay.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's coming back to me. That one was wild
- 36:03Speaker 2: that one. I remember blowing your mind completely.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Well, because people just like romanticized this murderer. It's like,
- 36:08Speaker 1: what the fuck?
- 36:09Speaker 2: Yeah, like they're nothing special. They they don't deserve any
- 36:13Speaker 2: any credit or and it's not abration or anything.
- 36:17Speaker 1: It's not much different to how people hold Ted Bundy
- 36:19Speaker 1: at such high regards, like oh my god, he's so hot,
- 36:21Speaker 1: and it's like he fucking killed people.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Yeah gross. Yeah, okay, So what we might have already
- 36:31Speaker 2: what inspired you guys to do a true crime podcast?
- 36:34Speaker 2: My fiance and are obsessed with the pod. Much love
- 36:37Speaker 2: from Kansas.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Appreciate that awesome, But yeah, it boils down to I
- 36:41Speaker 1: love content creation, Nicole loved true crime, and we needed
- 36:44Speaker 1: to spend more time together.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Spend more time together.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Yeah, so boom wi getting Grim was born.
- 36:48Speaker 2: There you go, there you go.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Did you know my friend in Canada? Did you know you?
- 36:56Speaker 1: Did you know your my friends in Canada? I want
- 36:58Speaker 1: to tell my husband about your podcast. Thanks for feels
- 37:02Speaker 1: like friends, True Cramp podcasts all that. That's awesome. We'd
- 37:05Speaker 1: love to hear that people actually consider us like friends.
- 37:07Speaker 1: That's that's a big part of this love that. I
- 37:10Speaker 1: love that because we just wanted to be you know,
- 37:12Speaker 1: just us and ourselves and kind of include you guys,
- 37:14Speaker 1: like you were sitting down having a conversation with us.
- 37:17Speaker 1: So that's that means a lot.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Which we do get a lot. So I feel like
- 37:21Speaker 2: that's working, which is good.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Okay, So what is your favorite case you haven't covered
- 37:26Speaker 2: and want to? I still I think I've said this before,
- 37:31Speaker 2: but I really want to do that Johnson Bentley. Yeah,
- 37:34Speaker 2: so that's like top on my list.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Oh man, there's so many and none that I can
- 37:41Speaker 1: think of at this moment. None that I'm trying to think.
- 37:43Speaker 2: So many, but I can't think of a single one.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Well, I do know that there's like there's multiple and
- 37:50Speaker 1: I know that they've got them like a star beside
- 37:52Speaker 1: them in our little book and everything you need your book.
- 37:56Speaker 2: We don't even have it out here.
- 37:57Speaker 1: No, we don't.
- 38:00Speaker 2: There is a giant list though, of ones we want
- 38:02Speaker 2: to cover, yes, and Ben can't think of one.
- 38:06Speaker 1: No, Well, I do know I want to cover the
- 38:08Speaker 1: dipick Box. I want to cover that one. But that's
- 38:11Speaker 1: not true crime. That's that is a paranormal case.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Okay, you love your paranormal I do. Yeah, you could
- 38:16Speaker 2: have a paranormal podcast even.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Well, well spoiler alert, something like that might be in
- 38:22Speaker 1: the works.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Okay, the next question we've already answered.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Yeah, what maybe do you want to start your crime podcast? Yeah, so,
- 38:32Speaker 1: as someone who's choosing the child free life, are you
- 38:35Speaker 1: too choosing that path too? Do you want to answer
- 38:39Speaker 1: that one?
- 38:42Speaker 2: Sure? Yes, sure, there's always the one percent chant.
- 38:46Speaker 1: There's yeah. This year, actually we kind of made the
- 38:49Speaker 1: call that I think I think we're going to go
- 38:51Speaker 1: child for you.
- 38:52Speaker 2: I think we're relating towards that. I don't know. I
- 38:54Speaker 2: don't know that I dislike kids or anything, but literally,
- 38:57Speaker 2: if you had me a baby and you had me
- 38:59Speaker 2: a puppy, the puppy is going to make me probably
- 39:02Speaker 2: a hundred times more excited. So like I maybe should
- 39:05Speaker 2: just continue to get dogs.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Yeah, And everyone always says, well, it's different when it's
- 39:09Speaker 1: your own. It's different. I'm sure it is. But just
- 39:13Speaker 1: because you can be happy with a kid doesn't mean
- 39:16Speaker 1: you can also be happy without.
- 39:18Speaker 2: I do think too. Lots of times parents they like
- 39:21Speaker 2: it's hard, it's I can only imagine how hard it is,
- 39:24Speaker 2: And it lots of times it doesn't sound like anyone's
- 39:28Speaker 2: having a lot of fun. Who are parents Like that's
- 39:32Speaker 2: probably an unpopular opinion. I'm sure it's completely worth it,
- 39:35Speaker 2: but a lot of things it doesn't sound overly fun
- 39:38Speaker 2: at times, like at all.
- 39:40Speaker 1: No, what are people's reaction when you tell them you
- 39:43Speaker 1: have a true crime podcast? A lot of the times,
- 39:47Speaker 1: at least in my experience, people just kind of brush
- 39:49Speaker 1: it off, like, oh, yeah, I'm sure you do, like
- 39:52Speaker 1: like it's we're just and nobody just doing nothing.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Like they assume it's not successful. Yes, they okay, good
- 40:00Speaker 2: for you, like pat pat little Sally on the shoulder.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure you'll have fun in the next week
- 40:05Speaker 1: of trying to make that work.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Yeah. So, I mean, but we're also not very good
- 40:09Speaker 2: at being like, yeah, we have a true grim podcast.
- 40:11Speaker 2: It has like this many downloads and and we've covered
- 40:14Speaker 2: this and we've been featured here, blah blah blah blah.
- 40:16Speaker 2: So like we're not very We don't toot our.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Horn, we're not very boathful. I mean we do on
- 40:20Speaker 1: social media a little bit, like we try and celebrate.
- 40:23Speaker 2: We're celebrating it with our listeners exactly.
- 40:27Speaker 1: But outside the real world, I mean, yeah, we don't
- 40:29Speaker 1: talk about it a lot. Really, No, but we have
- 40:32Speaker 1: had positive reactions and we've had negative ones.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Too, Yeah, we have. Okay, so what are each of
- 40:39Speaker 2: your favorite cases you've covered so far and.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Why kind of already talked about that. Mine is definitely,
- 40:46Speaker 1: uh well, if not Judith Barci now, but the Little
- 40:49Speaker 1: Lemon murder. I love ones that tell the good story,
- 40:51Speaker 1: whether it's solved or unsolved, or mystery or paranormal. A
- 40:54Speaker 1: good story to me is is important. So when we
- 40:58Speaker 1: actually succeed in that.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Yeah, this did. I do think this. Sarah Everall was
- 41:03Speaker 2: one on the top of my list just because it
- 41:05Speaker 2: was so crazy, like, oh my gosh, it's scary because
- 41:09Speaker 2: that could happen to anyone. I feel like the yogurt
- 41:13Speaker 2: chop murders was an interesting one.
- 41:16Speaker 1: To research as well. Yes, that was actually a good one.
- 41:18Speaker 2: That was pretty sad. I mean they're all sad.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, what are your pets named after? Well, Mika
- 41:27Speaker 1: is named after Meka on Eurotrip the movie. Ripley is
- 41:32Speaker 1: named after Ripley on Aliens the movie. And shout out
- 41:36Speaker 1: to Brittany who helped me land on that name. I
- 41:38Speaker 1: was thinking on it for a while a couple different ones,
- 41:40Speaker 1: and She's like, what about Ripley And I was like yeah,
- 41:43Speaker 1: and then Kiwi is named after a Kiwi.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Kee is the one I named oh my gosh, which
- 41:51Speaker 2: just like I probably shouldn't have just said that, I
- 41:54Speaker 2: just played into what everyone already thinks of me. I
- 41:59Speaker 2: don't know, I thought be so funny to have a
- 42:01Speaker 2: cat named Kiwi just and suits the shit out of
- 42:03Speaker 2: him too.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Yeah. So what are some of your favorite bands and
- 42:07Speaker 1: someone you'd love to see in concert? Asking because I
- 42:11Speaker 1: just saw Red hutchli Peppers live last week and still
- 42:14Speaker 1: fresh in my mind, I love that I'd love to
- 42:15Speaker 1: see Red Hutchili Peppers actually Spice Girls. Oh of course
- 42:19Speaker 1: you would, kay.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Literally, I've heard so many times if there's like a
- 42:21Speaker 2: reunion and that was like my jam when I was
- 42:24Speaker 2: a child. So I would totally one hundred percent and
- 42:27Speaker 2: go on rock that shit nice.
- 42:29Speaker 1: I'm not too big on live concerts, I mean, I've
- 42:33Speaker 1: I would definitely go see some I love like rock,
- 42:37Speaker 1: classic rock, and even getting into like some heavier, like
- 42:40Speaker 1: some metal stuff that's kind of my life, even.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Like country and stuff though too or.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Not so much anymore, not so much. And how you're
- 42:46Speaker 1: gonna be in a very specific mood for it. I
- 42:48Speaker 1: have a very broad taste. I'll listen I'll listen to rap, country,
- 42:52Speaker 1: hip hop, like you name it, but usually it's I
- 42:54Speaker 1: got to be in a very specific mood for those things.
- 42:56Speaker 1: My general go to is like rock, alternative rock, classic rock,
- 43:02Speaker 1: Iron Maiden's a big one, Billy Talent. I love Billy Talent,
- 43:05Speaker 1: System of Down, love Them Disturbed. I mean, the list
- 43:09Speaker 1: goes on, honestly.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Yeah, And I'm I'm kind of like one of those
- 43:13Speaker 2: people that just literally go to Spotify and select a playlist. Yeah,
- 43:17Speaker 2: so like based on my mood. So I'm not I
- 43:21Speaker 2: don't know. I don't have like super favorite bands and stuff.
- 43:23Speaker 2: I wouldn't say so fair enough. Okay, So how did
- 43:27Speaker 2: you get to know each other? Well? This is fine,
- 43:29Speaker 2: we actually got We're probably gonna get to a lot
- 43:31Speaker 2: more of them, but we got a lot of questions
- 43:33Speaker 2: regarding our relationship as such. So do you remember?
- 43:37Speaker 1: Do I remember how we got to know each other?
- 43:39Speaker 2: How did we get to know each other? Ben?
- 43:40Speaker 1: Do you want me to cover it?
- 43:41Speaker 2: Sure?
- 43:42Speaker 1: High school? We met in high school eleven pe class yep,
- 43:47Speaker 1: and ever since then, Nicole was hooked. She's like, I
- 43:51Speaker 1: need this man in my life, and I'm like, I
- 43:54Speaker 1: got you, babe.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I actually thought that Ben was incredibly odd. I
- 44:00Speaker 2: thought you were incredibly odd, but you still drigged me,
- 44:03Speaker 2: and here we go, here we are.
- 44:04Speaker 1: I definitely was odd, and I probably am still odd
- 44:07Speaker 1: to this day.
- 44:08Speaker 2: A good although you were also like a lot of
- 44:11Speaker 2: guys and stuff in high school, or assholes, to put
- 44:14Speaker 2: it nicely, And you were a very kind You've always
- 44:19Speaker 2: been very kind, so.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Well, thank you. Yeah, I appreciate that. Yeah, if you
- 44:24Speaker 1: each had a beer named after you, what would the
- 44:26Speaker 1: name be? What kind of beer? Your flavor? I love
- 44:30Speaker 1: my ip as, I love I love bitter beers.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna let you answer this. Because I don't
- 44:36Speaker 2: drink beer.
- 44:37Speaker 1: I would probably honestly have a beer named after Wicked
- 44:40Speaker 1: and Grim.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Okay, that would be fun, a craft beer beer named
- 44:45Speaker 2: after Wicked and Grim.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Love love.
- 44:47Speaker 2: I'd have to start drinking beer.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it would just be the Stay Wicked Beer
- 44:53Speaker 1: or something like that, or the Wicked Beer or Wicked
- 44:57Speaker 1: and Grim Beer, something like that.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Good beer.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:00Speaker 2: I drink more so ciders than wine, so fair enough.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Why the tiny home?
- 45:07Speaker 2: Why a tiny home? Why not?
- 45:09Speaker 1: Why not?
- 45:10Speaker 2: Yeah, let's just answer that.
- 45:11Speaker 1: Why not? Yeah, if you can tell me why not?
- 45:13Speaker 2: Freedom?
- 45:17Speaker 1: It opened up a lot of freedom for us.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Yeah. I think when we made the decision to do it,
- 45:21Speaker 2: we were very, very busy, and it kind of just
- 45:25Speaker 2: seemed like like our life had a path, but we
- 45:28Speaker 2: didn't necessarily know if we liked that path. And so
- 45:31Speaker 2: the tiny home has opened up to many paths that
- 45:35Speaker 2: we can now have a choice to choose between.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Exactly. Nailed it? Yeah, nailed it. So ever, get out
- 45:42Speaker 1: to Barkerville. Hell, oh, yes.
- 45:44Speaker 2: My gosh, I'm obsessed with Barkerville and I'm going in August.
- 45:47Speaker 1: A gold rush true crime story would be cool, Yes,
- 45:50Speaker 1: it would. I've honestly wanted to stay there and like
- 45:53Speaker 1: kind of maybe do some ghost hunting too. That would
- 45:56Speaker 1: be super cool.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Okay, not okay with that? Actually I could do like
- 46:01Speaker 2: an on location podcast. Why have we not thought about that?
- 46:04Speaker 2: Like we did at the Fairmont? I don't know the
- 46:06Speaker 2: lady in Red what the heck is with us?
- 46:08Speaker 1: But for those who don't know, Barkerville is a little
- 46:10Speaker 1: gold rush town.
- 46:12Speaker 2: And it's pretty large actually for the old rush town.
- 46:14Speaker 1: It is, so it's they got like the actors wallanders
- 46:17Speaker 1: through the streets and all that. There's bakeries and restaurants,
- 46:20Speaker 1: all this cool stuff you can go see and do.
- 46:23Speaker 1: It's absolutely crazy. It's right outside a little town called
- 46:26Speaker 1: Wells in British Columbia. Yeah, cool, epic little place.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Like you can literally Okay, I am obsessed with Barkerville.
- 46:34Speaker 2: I could go every year, but I may ben get
- 46:35Speaker 2: sick of it. But you literally just get to like
- 46:38Speaker 2: immerse yourself in this other world it is. It's beyond awesome.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Well, we haven't been for a while. I wouldn't mind
- 46:44Speaker 1: going back. Oh okay, just catching up and binging all
- 46:50Speaker 1: the episodes. Love your vibe and from friendship? Can hear
- 46:53Speaker 1: love through the banter? Sounds like you two have spent
- 46:56Speaker 1: half your lives as besties. Did this? Did you start
- 46:58Speaker 1: as friends? I mean yeah, we started out in gym
- 47:02Speaker 1: class together getting to know each other a little bit,
- 47:04Speaker 1: and I mean it didn't take as long to start
- 47:06Speaker 1: dating really because really we showed interest in each other
- 47:09Speaker 1: and started chatting on MSN.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, And I actually think that's even like
- 47:15Speaker 2: where we exchange or I love you.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't remember who said I love you first?
- 47:19Speaker 2: You did? Did I yeah on MSN, I'm pretty sure.
- 47:22Speaker 2: So funny, good look at us, But I mean we
- 47:26Speaker 2: were just little, little little babies. Yeah, Okay, what is
- 47:31Speaker 2: the one thing from from or about your tiny home
- 47:33Speaker 2: that you did not expect to love as much as
- 47:35Speaker 2: you do? Now?
- 47:38Speaker 1: I didn't expect it to feel so much like home.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Yeah, I know. I it's very comfortable.
- 47:48Speaker 2: I think I kind of expected to always be a
- 47:51Speaker 2: little bit cramped and stuff, and it just like is
- 47:54Speaker 2: really cozy and comforting almost.
- 47:59Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't feel a difference from our giant home
- 48:03Speaker 1: that we had before with five bedrooms, three full bathrooms,
- 48:06Speaker 1: double garage. Like, it feels no different being in a
- 48:09Speaker 1: tiny home to that one. Though.
- 48:11Speaker 2: I think I expected it to be a bit harder,
- 48:13Speaker 2: not living with so many things, but I haven't really
- 48:16Speaker 2: had a super issue with that.
- 48:18Speaker 1: The tools is a bit of a pain because I
- 48:19Speaker 1: don't have like a garage just go tools. That's a
- 48:22Speaker 1: bit of a pain.
- 48:23Speaker 2: But yeah, you actually spent quite a bit of time
- 48:24Speaker 2: in the garage making things and stuff, so yeah, that's
- 48:27Speaker 2: a bit of a loss for you.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Hey, yeah, but that that's other than that, it's no
- 48:31Speaker 1: different to me. Yeah, when did you guys know you
- 48:34Speaker 1: loved each other? Well, like you said, we were in
- 48:37Speaker 1: high school?
- 48:38Speaker 2: Actually, were we still in high school when we said
- 48:40Speaker 2: when we said that, yes, we were, we were. Yeah,
- 48:43Speaker 2: Holy heck, uh huh grade twelve though, probably.
- 48:47Speaker 1: I think it's taking us along. I think.
- 48:48Speaker 2: So, if you could find out the answers to any
- 48:52Speaker 2: unsolved case, which one would it be? And why?
- 48:56Speaker 1: Uh? Yeah, they choose what happened on diatlock paths, So
- 48:59Speaker 1: would I. We already talked about that.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I we totally agree there.
- 49:02Speaker 1: Yeah, two questions, one for me and another for my
- 49:06Speaker 1: partner Matt, who doesn't have Instagram. So, first of all,
- 49:09Speaker 1: if each of you were encrypted, which one would you be?
- 49:11Speaker 1: And why? Nicole would one hundred percent be the Mothman
- 49:16Speaker 1: because she stays up so freaking late all the time
- 49:19Speaker 1: that bad. And I would be Sasquatch because apparently Nicole
- 49:22Speaker 1: thinks I need to wax my back.
- 49:26Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. No no.
- 49:29Speaker 1: And if either of you turned out to be a
- 49:30Speaker 1: serial killer, what things about each other would make you say?
- 49:34Speaker 1: Oh that makes sense now.
- 49:36Speaker 2: I feel like way better answer with this.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Again. Nicole staying up so fucking.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Not even that bad?
- 49:44Speaker 1: And I do not stay up that late. I go
- 49:46Speaker 1: to bed and you you're up. I don't know how
- 49:49Speaker 1: late you could be out burying a fucking body.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Literally.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Okay.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Sometimes I'll steep till one in the morning, and you
- 49:53Speaker 2: know what I'm fucking doing working?
- 49:55Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I get up to go to work at
- 49:58Speaker 1: like five in the morning, so I don't know what
- 49:59Speaker 1: you're doing when I'm sleeping.
- 50:02Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh my gosh. That's actually something I feel like
- 50:05Speaker 2: I need to think about. What would be things that
- 50:08Speaker 2: I'd be like, Oh, yeah, I don't even know.
- 50:12Speaker 1: You being a photographer saying oh, I'm going to go
- 50:15Speaker 1: location scouting again. How do I not know you're burying
- 50:18Speaker 1: a body?
- 50:18Speaker 2: It's a good alimi okay. And then we have another
- 50:22Speaker 2: one where when you guys met I kind of answer that.
- 50:26Speaker 2: And then someone asked if we ship to Finland like
- 50:30Speaker 2: Red Bubble, right, so through Red Bubble so wherever they ship.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're talking about e merchan on Red Bubble, yeah,
- 50:37Speaker 1: it would have to be through that website. We just
- 50:39Speaker 1: we just upload there and they take care of all
- 50:41Speaker 1: of it for us. If you're thinking of the mugs
- 50:44Speaker 1: that we're going to be putting on sale soon, yeah.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah we would. Okay, let's move on to Facebook
- 50:52Speaker 2: one Facebook questions here. So first one, what TV show
- 50:57Speaker 2: or movie duo do you both relate to the mouse?
- 51:00Speaker 1: Oh? Jim and Pam from the Office. Not because I
- 51:02Speaker 1: think we're like them, but because if you watch The Office,
- 51:08Speaker 1: they're just in their own little world. They don't care
- 51:09Speaker 1: about what people think around them, And I think that's
- 51:11Speaker 1: kind of us with the tiny home and the podcast.
- 51:14Speaker 1: We're just doing what we want because it makes us happy.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Well yeah, because a lot of people think our lifestyle
- 51:20Speaker 2: and such is very odd, right, Yeah.
- 51:22Speaker 1: So not that I think we're like Jim and Pam.
- 51:25Speaker 1: I think that we're just living like that. What is
- 51:31Speaker 1: the hardest case for each of you to cover? What
- 51:34Speaker 1: was the hardest case? Junco Faruda and Judith BARSI last
- 51:38Speaker 1: night as well, or the other night as well. Judith, honestly,
- 51:43Speaker 1: I was having trouble keeping my shit together a little bit,
- 51:45Speaker 1: and I think that was the first time I was
- 51:47Speaker 1: really struggling.
- 51:48Speaker 2: Actually struggle there. I mean, I don't love the barbing
- 51:54Speaker 2: Ken killers. One was actually a bit hard to.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, those are the toy box kill or two.
- 52:00Speaker 1: That one, Yeah, that really got to me.
- 52:02Speaker 2: Oh man, I mean all of the above. Yeah, okay,
- 52:07Speaker 2: so where are we now? Who would play who would
- 52:10Speaker 2: play you in the movie version of your life? Oh god,
- 52:14Speaker 2: I'm not good at questions like this.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Okay, not that I look like some of these people,
- 52:20Speaker 1: but I've had some people tell me other celebrities I
- 52:23Speaker 1: look like certain celebrities there and you.
- 52:27Speaker 2: It does go to your head, don't.
- 52:29Speaker 1: I use it to my advantages sometimes, but I'm I'm
- 52:32Speaker 1: very well aware it's not the case. Oh funk, what's
- 52:35Speaker 1: his what's his name.
- 52:37Speaker 2: From the Is it from the notebook? Right?
- 52:39Speaker 1: It's his name?
- 52:39Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I should so know this. Holy heck.
- 52:44Speaker 2: People are screaming at us.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Ryan Gosling.
- 52:46Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go. There.
- 52:47Speaker 1: I actually because I used to do a lot of
- 52:49Speaker 1: cosplay conventions and in one costume, I was wearing buzz
- 52:52Speaker 1: Lightyear and someone took a picture with me, and on
- 52:54Speaker 1: that picture on Facebook, someone literally commented on it, seriously,
- 52:58Speaker 1: oh my god, is that Ryan Gossling dressed up as
- 53:01Speaker 1: Buzzed Lightyear?
- 53:02Speaker 2: And you're a little literally like yeah, yeah.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Fi. That was before I had a beard, So I
- 53:09Speaker 1: would say, I think Ryan Gosling has to play me.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Yeah, saying, I have absolutely no idea who would have
- 53:14Speaker 2: to play me?
- 53:15Speaker 1: Well, you got to pick.
- 53:19Speaker 2: I have zero answers in my head. You gotta pick
- 53:22Speaker 2: Reese Witherspoon.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Reese Witherspoon, you think, hey, just because you went legally,
- 53:27Speaker 1: who is the one?
- 53:29Speaker 2: There was someone that people have told me I look
- 53:31Speaker 2: like before, Renee something.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Renee's Elwiger. I think so, actually, yeah, that that would
- 53:36Speaker 1: be a good one. Her voice is much different from yours,
- 53:39Speaker 1: but it's kind of got like a similar actually, kind
- 53:41Speaker 1: of like a squeaky tone to it to think of it.
- 53:43Speaker 2: So yeah, maybe that. Yeah, there we go.
- 53:46Speaker 1: We just answered that question. Yeah. Uh, you are often
- 53:50Speaker 1: cracking adult beverages in your intro.
- 53:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah we are.
- 53:54Speaker 1: What is the most god awful combination of cocktails that
- 53:57Speaker 1: you've had to suffer through? I don't know about you,
- 53:59Speaker 1: but I'm thinking looking back to one night in shots
- 54:02Speaker 1: in our apartment when we were playing rock band with
- 54:04Speaker 1: Brock and Sarah.
- 54:06Speaker 2: It was in our townhouse actually.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Oh close enough, Yeah, long story short. We were in
- 54:11Speaker 1: our early twenties. We were it was like three am.
- 54:15Speaker 1: We were playing rock band.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Our poor neighbors.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so two of us were playing rock band
- 54:22Speaker 1: while the other two were mixing shots, and you had
- 54:25Speaker 1: to drink the shot that was made while you were
- 54:28Speaker 1: playing ross yea, and we started getting mean with the
- 54:32Speaker 1: shots with including.
- 54:34Speaker 2: Like mustard in there.
- 54:36Speaker 1: Yeah, so including condiments from the fridge and the alcohol,
- 54:40Speaker 1: so mustard, salad, dressing, well whatever it was in the fridge,
- 54:44Speaker 1: that ever was in the fridge and the kitchen was
- 54:48Speaker 1: free game. Yeah, so that was nasty.
- 54:51Speaker 2: That was pretty nasty.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Is there anything that frustrates you the most? How about
- 54:56Speaker 2: the other was living in close quarters or doing the
- 54:59Speaker 2: pod cast?
- 55:01Speaker 1: Your disorganization gets to me sometimes.
- 55:04Speaker 2: The fact that you literally can't have a moment of silence.
- 55:08Speaker 1: Ever, touche, I can argue that, like if we're.
- 55:12Speaker 2: Just chilling at home, like some background noise has to
- 55:16Speaker 2: be on.
- 55:17Speaker 1: I love I love music. What have you learned about
- 55:22Speaker 1: living in a tiny home and how do you and
- 55:25Speaker 1: how you both adapted to it? That you don't need
- 55:29Speaker 1: as many things as you think?
- 55:30Speaker 2: Absolutely one hundred percent agree with that, actually, yeah, and
- 55:34Speaker 2: that a home can be anything.
- 55:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 55:36Speaker 2: Really, I think a lot of people think to make
- 55:39Speaker 2: it or something that they have to thrive for or
- 55:42Speaker 2: strive for this big house, like kind of what the
- 55:45Speaker 2: American dream, kind of.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Like the American dream.
- 55:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but your American dream can be anything, and it
- 55:50Speaker 2: doesn't have to be this white picket fence house.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Yeah. It could be a van down by the river.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Yeah. You could literally live in a van and travel
- 55:57Speaker 2: around your country, which is pretty awesome. Yeah, like think
- 56:00Speaker 2: outside the box sometimes.
- 56:02Speaker 1: As the Great Pumba once said, home is where your
- 56:05Speaker 1: rump rests. Is there a case you would not cover.
- 56:12Speaker 2: Yes, but you're planning to cover it? Oh that one
- 56:16Speaker 2: with the Little Boy?
- 56:18Speaker 1: Oh oh yeah, well we wouldn't. We don't want to
- 56:22Speaker 1: cover local cases. It's just a little, a little too
- 56:25Speaker 1: close to home.
- 56:25Speaker 2: That's a really good answer. Absolutely, Yeah, no, I agree there.
- 56:30Speaker 2: How did you get into podcasts? Did you listen to
- 56:33Speaker 2: them a lot before deciding to do your own? What
- 56:35Speaker 2: motivated you to be different from the other true crime pods?
- 56:39Speaker 1: I loved content creation and we wanted to do something together.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, and ours is ours a lot different from
- 56:45Speaker 2: the others.
- 56:47Speaker 1: I don't know. All I know is that we we
- 56:49Speaker 1: strive to just kind of be ourselves. We kind of
- 56:51Speaker 1: took the idea from more of it a bit because
- 56:53Speaker 1: they're kind of open banter, right, yeah, and we're like,
- 56:56Speaker 1: if we do that, we can just kind of be
- 56:57Speaker 1: ourselves and.
- 56:58Speaker 2: Which is have fun way easier then. I feel like
- 57:01Speaker 2: we probably wouldn't still be doing it if we had
- 57:03Speaker 2: to kind of stick to a script. Yeah, that doesn't
- 57:06Speaker 2: really sound fun to either of us.
- 57:11Speaker 1: I heard you say that you married young, But how
- 57:14Speaker 1: long have you been together. We've been together since high school,
- 57:19Speaker 1: like two thousand and six.
- 57:21Speaker 2: Oh. I was like, where are you two thousand and five?
- 57:24Speaker 1: Yo?
- 57:26Speaker 2: Well, end of two thousand and five. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 57:29Speaker 2: so that's a long ass time.
- 57:31Speaker 1: Yeah. What's your top three true crime podcasts you listen to?
- 57:35Speaker 1: Morbid's definitely one of them. They're there.
- 57:37Speaker 2: Go to Canadian True Crime and Serial Killers for me.
- 57:40Speaker 1: Yeah. I do like small Town Dicks, last podcast on
- 57:44Speaker 1: the left. They're very Oh okay, I like that one too. Actually, yeah,
- 57:47Speaker 1: they're hit and miss for me, but I do go.
- 57:49Speaker 1: I keep going back to them though. Timing time again.
- 57:52Speaker 2: Yeah, how did you two meet? Sweet chatted about that already. Yeah,
- 57:57Speaker 2: Oh okay, I like, I love, love love this question.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Well, we've talked about this before too.
- 58:03Speaker 2: What would your order for your what would you order
- 58:05Speaker 2: for your last meal?
- 58:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I would order, Oh, and you were pretty in
- 58:10Speaker 1: depth with yours. I would either want to do one
- 58:13Speaker 1: of two things. One, I'm going to fucking enjoy this
- 58:16Speaker 1: last meal, so I'm going to get things like steak, chocolate, milk,
- 58:19Speaker 1: like all these individual things that I really like.
- 58:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Or Two I'm going to get something simple that's going
- 58:24Speaker 1: to fuck with people.
- 58:26Speaker 2: And there is if you're a serial killer, you probably
- 58:28Speaker 2: know that route.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Well, I think this is the root. I'd go anyways,
- 58:31Speaker 1: because there is something that would I would enjoy, that
- 58:34Speaker 1: has significance to me and would fuck with people. I
- 58:36Speaker 1: would get a two leader of Canada dry ginger ale, yeah,
- 58:42Speaker 1: and a.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Bag ad Oh okay, I thought you were gonna maybe
- 58:45Speaker 2: say Ritz cracked.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Well, Rich crackers is kind of the other one my
- 58:48Speaker 1: dad grew when I was growing up. He said, yeah,
- 58:50Speaker 1: can of ginger ale and a chunk of bag at
- 58:52Speaker 1: and he loved that as a snack. Right, So I
- 58:54Speaker 1: kind of I started doing that and I kind of
- 58:56Speaker 1: reminisce about that, and then as I evolved, I sometimes
- 58:59Speaker 1: will swap out the bag ap for Ritz crackers, right.
- 59:02Speaker 1: So I would probably go to bag out though, just
- 59:04Speaker 1: because it's that nostalgia factor.
- 59:06Speaker 2: I feel like you have to do better than that,
- 59:08Speaker 2: Like you'd have to order a few other things too.
- 59:11Speaker 1: No, that's the thing. It's simple. It's like, what the fuck? Why?
- 59:14Speaker 2: What a weirdo? This is his last meal?
- 59:16Speaker 1: This is what you want exactly. But I would still
- 59:18Speaker 1: enjoy it.
- 59:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I would definitely go in the past route. I'm
- 59:22Speaker 2: obsessed with Vedicinio Fredo and I would want about as
- 59:25Speaker 2: much shrimp as you could possibly put on top of
- 59:28Speaker 2: that nice and I would just go to town fair enough.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Yeah, what about what's the first true crime story that
- 59:34Speaker 1: wants you getting to host a true crime podcast? For me,
- 59:37Speaker 1: the Outlok past has always been like up there for me.
- 59:41Speaker 2: I don't know if there's one per se it. We
- 59:43Speaker 2: kind of chatted about this previously about it's just like
- 59:46Speaker 2: how we kind of grew up, right, there was all
- 59:49Speaker 2: these things like Google Bumps and are you Afraid of
- 59:52Speaker 2: the Dark and all these and Dateline and just like
- 59:55Speaker 2: all these shows that you watch that made you.
- 59:59Speaker 1: Interested in the saying one hundred percent yes.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Well, I don't know if there if I'd say there's one,
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: or just like how how I grew up, I was
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: obsessed with goosebumps.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Actually, oh so was I.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: Okay, we're getting down here now. We just have our
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: our Facebook or our Instagram stories and then we're done.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: We're done.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: My laptop's about to die here too, So you might
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: be reading some of these questions here.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: And a lot of them I think are similar.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: So, okay, what has been your favorite episode? Again? We
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: kind of covered that a little bit. Yeah, which case
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: will forever haunt you? We covered that as well. Yeah,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: what was the first murder or mystery you heard that
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: piqued your interest in researching more? For me? Do youall
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: look past? We kind of covered that a bit too.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Is there anyone specific you want to note on that
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I don't even know.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: The picked in one for sure, and I put that
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: one off for a while. That's like a while.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Well that's when we were holding off on one to
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: do it justice, right, Yeah, because we knew it's at
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: least two parts. Yeah, knowing what you know now about podcasting,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: is there anything you would change not.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: To do it? Just kidding, just kidding, I'm just kidding, Okay, Okay,
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: the time I don't think I ever anticipated would take
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: quite as much time, But that wouldn't make me prevent
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: from starting.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think the way we do it, we
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: did it starting out exactly how we wanted to do it,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: to be ourselves and just have fun. Yeah, so I
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: don't think I would change anything.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Okay, the next one we already answered. So
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: after that, are you going to be bringing Jacko back
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: again this Halloween?
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: One hundred percent? If you are taking part in the
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Wicked giveaway right now, Jacko has actually been involved in that,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: And if you're over on Patreon, Jacko has been making
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: appearances over there. One of the things he actually did
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: over there is he he did a full reading of
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Edgar Allen's Poe the Raven.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Riich was pretty awesome.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Actually. Yeah, so jack will forever be a part of
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: this podcast and he is definitely coming back for Halloween. Yes,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: how do we meet? Of course we went over that
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: high school. If you could stop only one of the
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: killers that you've covered so far, which one would it be?
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: And why? So I'm going to assume stop them before
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: they kill anybody. Yep, I'm going to say whoever had
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: the highest number, potentially Rodney al Kala. Yeah, so I
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: would say him because I think he had estimated of
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: somewhere in the one hundred and forty or something.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: Yeah, how many people could you say? Right exactly the
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: most gruesome case you've ever covered.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: I think it's I think it's Junco. Yeah, though there's
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: some other ones that are definitely up there.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Well, remember there was that one too. Gosh, I'm just
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: looking it up really really quick. This was wild. It
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: was the murder of Elizabeth Olton where it was like
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: the what was it? The nine year old girl went
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: missing and it was this older sister, the friend's older sister,
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: who just like wanted to murder someone. Yeah, that's crazy,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: crazy young age. What when people do weird shit like
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: that or bad shit like that? A young age blows
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: my mind.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Yeah, not a question, but a challenge record one episode
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: without swearing. Oh see, I don't know if we could
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: do that.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Because that would be very fun.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: It wouldn't be very fun, and we're kind of going
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: against who.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: We are, you know, and it would be it would
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: be an interesting challenge.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: It would be a challenge. It would be a challenge
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: because I fucking love swearing. I fucking love it. Bud.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: Wow. If a toy company made an action figure of you,
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: what three items would it come with.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: It'd probably come with some sort of can that we'd
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: be able to open. Microphones, oh.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: Say whine, but yeah, like alcohol, microphones and a.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Husky and a husky.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: I was just oh yeah, I love it. I would
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: be buying all of them.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: That would be a we just like that's us. What
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: case keeps you up at night? And why again? Going back?
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Junco Fruda is one of the Rodney al callas. One
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: for me.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and I had said the Richardson's the deeper you
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: dive into a case, I feel like for me anyway,
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: that the more impact it has on me.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Do you like Ketchup or Dill pickle old Dutch chips?
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Both being Canadian Ketchup chips hold a place in our heart,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: same with all dressed right, we like.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: We actually like chips.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: We do. Chips are awesome, Chips are delicious and not
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: very nutritious.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Not nutritious.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Would would be your favorite though? Between Ketchup and Dill
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Ketchup Ketchup? If you could only have one type of
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: chip for the rest of your life, what would it be?
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Whatever we were eating tonight, those Miss Vicki's dijon. Yes,
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: they're so good. Yeah, they are good actually has good
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: flavors of chips.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I think for me, I'd probably go with like the
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: arebas chips.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Oh okay, like a dorrito kind of chip bit.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Well, they're like Dorito's, but they're better.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: Yeah, they have more flavor.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Actually they're thicker too, they're heavier.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: Yeah, look at us, we're like chip connerswords.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Chip commis, sewers, pinkies in the air, ladies and gentlemen
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: when you're eating those chips, okay.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: And then that one was why do you guys start
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: out decide to do a podcast? We answer that? And
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: the final final question actually know there's two because one
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: I forgot to write down. Will you ever do the
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: Marilyn Moreau case?
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: You know, I've never actually thought about.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Doing it neither, and I actually love the idea.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Yeah, there's some celebrity cases we have on our list,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: like I want to do Harry Houdini's eventually doing Bruce
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Lee would actually be another one going. Of course, you
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: know the Manson case. That's another one. But Marilyn Monroe.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I never thought of adding that to the list. I
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: think we should.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: We should. I think that would be very interesting research. Actually, yeah,
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: And then the other question that came in was just
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: how's tiny home living?
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: It's tiny, Yeah.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: But it's good. Yeah, it's very good. I would say initially,
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: if you ever okay, i'm gonna say, if you ever
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: think that you're going to go into tiny living, I
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: definitely recommend it, but expect a pretty large would you say,
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: learning curve transition? Oh yeah, definitely, because the shows that
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: you watch and stuff, they make it seem like it's
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: pretty easy, peasy and stuff.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: But it's not.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: It's tough.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Well, if you pay close attention to those shows where
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: you're watching like HGTV and stuff, pay really close attention
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: to what sort of personal items you see in the
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: tiny home while they're going through it. If you don't
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: see any personal items I eat, jacket, hanging up pictures
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: on the wall, chances are it's a stage tiny home.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Look for the ones where there's personal effects and affairs
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: and things, flowers and the counter or something might be
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: there because they're setting the stage. If you see a
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: book or something sitting there, someone could be reading it,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: maybe your laptop, things that are in use. Yeah, that's
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: going to give you a much better perspective on what
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: it's really like.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: Well, then honestly too. At a lot of those ones
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: that are on the shows, they've been in their tiny
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: home for nine months a year kind of thing. And
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: at that point, like now I'm saying like I absolutely
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: love tiny home living. But if you ask me like
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: two three months and I was be like, holy shit,
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: we made a big mistake because it wasn't easy at first.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: It's an adjustment period.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: It was also because we were having some issues with
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: our tiny home and stuff too, which wasn't helping. But yeah,
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: now I would say like I absolutely love it. I
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: love it.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: The only thing is I would maybe love it a
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: bit more if we weren't in Prince George only because
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: the winter's like, when you're tiny I'm living, you want
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: to spend a lot of time outside and the winters
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: are pretty harsh here. And then when it's not winter,
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: we have pretty bad mosquitoes, So like you can't spend
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: a ton of time where we're living.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Yeah, we're in a bad mosquito.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so you can't spend as much time outside as
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: you'd like to perhaps, So yeah that's our Q and A.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Yeah, we had some really good questions, actually, some good
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: ones that really made us think.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: Yeah, there was a lot that was great, that was fun.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm definitely going to be thinking on some of
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: these for like the next week to come. I know.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: I'm like, hmm, I'm going to be asking people I
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: work with what would your last meal be if you
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: were on death row? And I'll get sideway his looks.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: I know it, but it'll be worth it totally.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a way to start.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: A conversation the safety guy at work, if you were
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: on death row? What would your last meal be? So
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: this is a safety meeting.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: Man, it looks like your gears are really turning right now.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Well they kind of are.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: Yeah, So anyway, thanks so much for giving us all
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: the questions and wanting to get to know us better
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: and just being here and being you like, we appreciate
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: all of you so much.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it means an incredible amount. We can't even begin
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: to communicate how much it means, because I don't think
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Wicked and Grim would be here today if we did
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: have the support that we currently have. So thank you
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: so much. It means so much to us, it really does.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: You have to keep talking because I want to do
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: one more thing. We actually got a sweet review that
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: I was going to read.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Oh did we got a new review? Oh sweet, So
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: it's bumping down that one if Nicole is so annoying.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: Yeah, the one prior to that was so I yeah,
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: I want a couple. I mean, both of us have
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: gotten a few.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: I understand if you don't like someone's podcast, but I
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: mean you're seriously going to leave a review because you
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: just don't like someone.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: Yeah, don't judge someone's like character.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Fuck.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: But anyway, this is just like if you have a
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: hot minute to give us a review, like, seriously love it.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: It makes our day. Okay, So this one just came
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: in on the fifth and it says amazing on a
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: scale of one to ten, one hundred thousand. I love
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: this podcast. It is a great podcast, and Ben and
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: Nicole are awesome. Most true crime podcasts I would imagine
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: would be very dark and sad and awful, but they
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: keep it light with plenty of jokes and laughter and
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: fun conversations in between to make it easier to take in.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: Keep up the great work.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: That's awesome so much.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: I know, like I just when I go on there
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: and see these new reviews of it, just like warms
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: my heart. Well, thank you for taking that time super appreciated.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Yes, thank you so much. And it's actually it kind
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: of feels good that someone realizes we're trying to make
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: these conversations a little bit lighthearted, easier to digest. Yeah. Well,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: and part of it too, is that it takes away
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: some of that power that those perpetrators had, taking away
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: the fear mongering aspect kind of I don't know, kind
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: of pays it back to the victim in my mind.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: Percent yeah, one percent.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: So if you can leave a review, that would absolutely
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: mean the world to us. If not totally cool, we
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: appreciate you either way. Thank you for being here, Thank
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: you for the questions today. If you want to go
