- 2:19This What's up on you? Talk to us.
- 2:24No, not much man. Just recapping the Wrestle Mania
- 2:27or Summer Slam right now. I'm watching it.
- 2:33I thought it was a stellar card up and down the lineup it was.
- 2:39A lot of people didn't think it was that good.
- 2:42I, I thought it was really good. I, I love all the twists and
- 2:45turns. I I suspected that the bellows
- 2:48were going to turn on Bree or on on Paige, and I was right.
- 2:57Well, I knew that was going to happen because like she said,
- 3:00you can't take her house. And then I kind of, I don't
- 3:08know, I think Sokoa is a good guy now, right?
- 3:12Yes. I'd like to Brock.
- 3:18I'm watching the Brock and Oba match right now.
- 3:22Oba's taking it to Brock Lesnar. That was an interesting.
- 3:25Match. That was very interesting.
- 3:32Very interesting match. Yep, he just set up a table
- 3:37against the cage right now and looks like Brock's about to go
- 3:40through it unless he reverses it.
- 3:43Nope, he went through it. I'm trying to get a speaker but
- 3:49I don't know how to do it. I'm trying.
- 3:56Oh, but just taking it to leather, wow, I didn't.
- 3:59I didn't expect that as a start. There you go.
- 4:06Yeah. I like the set.
- 4:09The set's really nice. I like the Viking theme.
- 4:11That's pretty cool. Yes, it is.
- 4:14It's very cool. I like the the trailers for
- 4:19Street Fighter. That looks pretty awesome.
- 4:21I'm going to have to check that out with Cody Rhodes and Roman
- 4:24Reigns Did. You see how what's his name came
- 4:26out? Punk.
- 4:30I'm not Punk, Cody. Cody Yeah, with the Street
- 4:35Fighter version of his mask. That was dope, wasn't?
- 4:39It look at all look. Guys, just so y'all know, we
- 4:42have a flyer a thing out, it's me and Joey Turnbuckles and
- 4:49Stowe's pod. We're going to order one with
- 4:51Dennis on it soon. So we're working on things.
- 4:57Our cigars will be here this week for us to test and if.
- 5:01That's exciting if we you guys psyched for that.
- 5:05Yes, if we love them they'll be out by the end of August.
- 5:08We have to prepay your cigars is $55 for a 5 pack shipped and
- 5:13delivered so. That's a good price.
- 5:16That's a nice price. I like that.
- 5:18That's a lot better price point. You would send us the money and
- 5:22we paid for them and could put to this.
- 5:26And how how do they send you the money?
- 5:28Can they cash app you PayPal? What, how, how they going to do
- 5:31that? Apple Pay Cash app however you
- 5:35want to send it. However, Joey has it, I don't.
- 5:37Know close. That until I need the money and
- 5:40then I take care of it. But yes, so it's Apple Cash.
- 5:45I got Apple Cash, so I don't know.
- 5:47If you want to pay by Apple Cash V Mobile, however you want to
- 5:51pay us, that's fine. But once we test them, they
- 5:57should be out by the end of August.
- 6:00All right. You Apple cash us or Zemo us we
- 6:03going from there. Nice.
- 6:09So our guest is here. I am about to light up cigar
- 6:14number 7 and it's a Carrillo encore using my select select
- 6:22draw our. Guest.
- 6:29We're. Going to bring in our guest.
- 6:34I don't even know how to say turned it on.
- 6:41What'd you get? New mics?
- 6:44Will you change them? What is up?
- 10:26What is up? Happy Sunday, Happy fun day.
- 10:30I am the big dog. That's the vanilla gorilla.
- 10:32We got the OG in the house. Wherever he is, I see you.
- 10:37And today we have a special guest with us today from Caribe
- 10:41Bliss. The interview
- 11:05and there he is, everybody. What is up, Mr. Ellis?
- 11:07How are you, Sir? Great.
- 11:11How are you doing? I'm doing well, Sir.
- 11:17So you know I have a lot of questions, right, Of course.
- 11:24So my question to you is, I see your cigar company has been
- 11:32established since 2024. So you've only been out going on
- 11:37a year and a half for two years. So what did you do before you
- 11:42got into the cigars? Well.
- 11:45I was in New York City top for 23 years.
- 11:57I did that and just before I retired, I wanted to open a
- 12:02cigar lounge here. I'm back in my country where I
- 12:05am in Barbados, and another allowance, another allowance
- 12:10moved 5 minutes from where I was looking at, and I made a trip to
- 12:17Dr. shortly after that. So I went to the factory, made a
- 12:26deal. Of course, then it came back to
- 12:29New York and just started doing all the necessary paperwork and
- 12:34stuff like that, and that's what got me into the business.
- 12:40So. Before that, you didn't know
- 12:44nothing about the business except smoking, correct?
- 12:49OK, so how does your your wife feel about you putting out
- 12:55cigars? Oh yes, I.
- 12:58Understand that's what I want to do, that's what I like doing and
- 13:02she's being very supportive, so which is good.
- 13:07OK. So how did you come up with the
- 13:10name Caribe Blitz? What is that lineage to you?
- 13:13What does that have to do with you?
- 13:14That has to do with Barbados and things like that?
- 13:18Yes. Caribbean islands, Caribbean
- 13:20theme, you know, you trying, you trying to bring all the cultures
- 13:26of the Caribbean into one. So that's where the Carib comes
- 13:29from. And you know, yeah.
- 13:33So it's been, you know, it's been a good, good success so
- 13:37far. Actually this month, next two
- 13:39years, the 31st, I'm in business.
- 13:43OK, well, congratulations on that.
- 13:45Not a lot of people can say that.
- 13:48Thank you. Appreciate that.
- 13:49A. Lot of a lot of people come on
- 13:51and you know, they've been in a business a year and then you get
- 13:56them to come back on and they can't come back on because they
- 14:00stopped making cigars. They said it's too much work,
- 14:06you know? Going to pass this by, yeah?
- 14:09So anybody want to jump in here? Help me out.
- 14:16Like, tell us about your cigars. How about that?
- 14:21Tell us about your cigars. I'm smoking a beach life, that's
- 14:26what. I'm smoking right now.
- 14:29So so when I first started, started with two cigars in from
- 14:36Dr. the most based cigars are from DRI.
- 14:39Have one supplier in Brooklyn as well, all handmade cigars.
- 14:45So I started with Hubano and Nicaragua when it first started
- 14:52and almost two years later I'm up to I'm up to 9 cigars.
- 14:57Wow. Wow.
- 14:59OK, so the beach life. What is that?
- 15:02What kind of cigar? Long filler.
- 15:04Strong filler. The rapper.
- 15:07Is San Andreas Maduro leaf the filler?
- 15:12I mean the binder is Dominican and Cuban seed and the tobacco
- 15:20is Indonesia, Sumatra. Wow.
- 15:24OK. And Joey, what are you smoking?
- 15:28We're all smoking, so everybody but OG is smoking the beach life
- 15:31because I didn't have a chance to send him isn't enough time.
- 15:34Yes, I have it with me. That's on me now.
- 15:40I know you had sent me a a sampler pack of your cigars as
- 15:44well before that. And it was the the Habano.
- 15:50I forgot I had the list. Nicaragua albino, I think it was
- 15:57a perfecto in there. Yes.
- 16:00And a Bayville, which is Bayville special Edition.
- 16:04So that one is actually made in Brooklyn.
- 16:08It's not. It's not flavored, but it's a
- 16:11mixture of dark chocolate, black pepper notes, Nicaragua binary
- 16:16filler and North Carolina tobacco.
- 16:19OK, that was, no, that cigar was fantastic.
- 16:22That was actually probably out of what you had sent me.
- 16:26That was probably one of the favorites that I had actually
- 16:30smoked that I enjoyed. That little Perfecto was very
- 16:36good as well. What Now let's go into kind of
- 16:39'cause I noticed each of your cigars, like you said, you have
- 16:42the Habano, the Nicaragua, the Father's Day special, which was
- 16:46your, your Bayville special edition, the beach, right?
- 16:50How did you come up with the names for each of these cigars?
- 16:55So again, I the Bayville special edition is actually the
- 17:00neighborhood I grew up in, where I'm actually right now.
- 17:03I actually went across across the street here.
- 17:06I went to school here. I'll give you a quick video
- 17:09here. Yeah, so I'm in the
- 17:13neighborhood. Yeah.
- 17:14I'm in the neighborhood where I grew up in and at Bayville was
- 17:17the name after this neighborhood I grew up in.
- 17:21It was actually called a different name.
- 17:23But you know, like I said, I wanted to use my own.
- 17:28Big Island Gold is actually, again, just keeping the theme of
- 17:34the islands. So Island Gold to me because of
- 17:37the colors, the shade. So the other ones, they have
- 17:43vinyl Nicaragua, those are standard.
- 17:47So I didn't really want to touch those, but you know, the ones
- 17:50that I actually got custom made for me, that's why I come up
- 17:53with the names. OK.
- 17:57Now, do they all come in different sizes or are the sizes
- 18:00that you sent me kind of what you have out there?
- 18:04I also have a Churchill. The Bayville special edition is
- 18:08actually the Churchill as well. So that's actually the largest
- 18:16one I have in my collection. I actually have now make, I
- 18:20started making Coronas, but they asked me flavored.
- 18:23They're not done yet. It's still in the factory in New
- 18:25York. So I had a lot of requests from
- 18:28when I do events from mostly female smokers.
- 18:32So I have like a honey and bourbon and I have a great
- 18:38flavor cigar, but those are for people who like to smoke flavor
- 18:44cigars. So I'm trying to, you know, try
- 18:47to cater to everyone, you know, do events and so stuff like
- 18:50that. So I'm trying to be fit.
- 18:52But I would say in my in my world, I try to be scared to
- 18:55everyone. So so now.
- 18:57Let me ask you this question because we've asked everybody.
- 18:59Listen, OG can can jump in if he wants.
- 19:04So do you cater to what the people want or do you make what
- 19:11you feel that you want to smoke that you think the people are
- 19:14smoking? Am I correct?
- 19:15OG So what you're what you're referring to is when he's
- 19:18blending the cigars with the with the factory, right?
- 19:23You're referring to when he blends the OG?
- 19:26When he blends the. Cigars.
- 19:32I'm sorry you broke up. Isn't a question you asked about
- 19:36them. Do they cater to their cigars or
- 19:39do they cater to what the? So yeah, I think what you're
- 19:42asking is kind of what he would ask normally is if you when you
- 19:47make cigars, when you blend your cigars, do you cater to your
- 19:50palate and what you like or do you try to blend for everybody
- 19:54well? Most of the blend that I'm doing
- 19:58is actually cater to. Most people would like request,
- 20:04for example, had a guy at the lounge, she said, do you have a
- 20:07short cigar? You know, like I'm on break from
- 20:10work and they wanted a short smoke per SE, right?
- 20:13And he has maybe 30 minutes or something like that.
- 20:16So that's why he came up with the Perfecto cigar, which is a
- 20:19very small cigar, kind of a quick, not as fast as a quick
- 20:24smoke, but the general idea was to have something for someone to
- 20:28smoke, you know, in a short space of time, so to speak,
- 20:31right? So that's how the Perfecto came
- 20:35about, right? And it's actually been very
- 20:38good, good reception. So the blame was actually made
- 20:46in the air with another. I have 3 suppliers now.
- 20:49So that was actually made. There you go.
- 20:58Nope, can't hear you, can't hear you.
- 21:12Well, Cycle Blend was asking me by a factory Dr. and I just went
- 21:16with it. I didn't change anything.
- 21:19I just wanted that short smoke and I just went with the the
- 21:24blend for that. So I didn't, I didn't really
- 21:26touch anything on that one, but the idea was just to have a
- 21:30short smoke for some, you know, people who have a short space of
- 21:32time, you know, so that's why I went about that.
- 21:35So sometimes they do care to customers that want, you know,
- 21:41particular cigar or something that is generally for everyone.
- 21:46So sometimes I do trial basis in my cigars and that's how I
- 21:52continue. So I do like a trial basis and
- 21:56then and then it goes and then it goes from there.
- 21:58So that's basically how I do it. So you know.
- 22:02I'm going to ask you this because Joey told me that you
- 22:07reached out to him that. I think it was something.
- 22:11I think he reached out to me or I reached out to him.
- 22:14Well, whomever. So what made you reach out to us
- 22:18and send us your cigars? To me, I have reached out to the
- 22:26gentleman that do the ACT report and then I got a request from
- 22:32Joe here and then I sent the request out to him because I
- 22:36like, I like to actually get different.
- 22:42What do you call criticism, so to speak, on my brand?
- 22:45Because that makes me better to have a different opinion from
- 22:50different people. So that's that's all that went
- 22:54about and that's all we out here you.
- 22:57Had smoked the habano out of that pack.
- 22:59I did. You had smoked and what did you
- 23:01think of that? Because I didn't smoke that I.
- 23:03Smoked your Habano. I thought it was really good.
- 23:05Actually I I'm not a big Habano fan.
- 23:07I'm a straight up fan. Patty Maduro and it's a really
- 23:12great cigar. You know, I'm not a Maduro, I'm
- 23:17not a a Habano fan but I'd probably buy it just because I
- 23:23like it it you know? But other than that, if you got
- 23:29full maduros but you can make it a 5 pack.
- 23:32This is what? Full Maduro.
- 23:33This is what this is, is a full body Maduro Now is this a is
- 23:37this a 4 by 60 or a 5 by 60 or a 5 by 58?
- 23:41Something like that, right? 5 by 60.
- 23:46OK, now what? What made you come up with this
- 23:50size? Actually my cigar sodium
- 23:58Barbados are the of two places here and sort of I actually like
- 24:03the gauge itself for as a personally, but here in the
- 24:08islands they tend to want bigger gauge cigars for some reason.
- 24:13I don't know what it is, but I tried it again.
- 24:18I tried to cater to the market here.
- 24:21So they want a big gay cigar. So that's why it came about
- 24:24this, this gauge. And I also like it on a personal
- 24:28level as well. And, and honestly, it's been
- 24:30doing very, it has a very good, very good reception.
- 24:33It's been doing very well. So I'm very happy with the this
- 24:38choice actually in this gauge. OK, so.
- 24:43You. Have you have 9 cigars?
- 24:45Out definitely fits this game. Are you going to Vegas next next
- 24:50year for the PCA? I would try to because like I
- 24:59said, I I would try to next year because the first year doing
- 25:03this, it was very hard getting into the to the cigar game.
- 25:09So this my second year I started going and branching out,
- 25:13traveling a lot more. I did notice Cigar Fest was
- 25:17actually one of the sponsors in New Orleans.
- 25:20So I'm starting to branch out a little more now now that I have
- 25:25a good client out of the market. So now I'm branching out a
- 25:28little bit. So yeah, so I might be there
- 25:33next year. You.
- 25:34Should join TPA which is what me and Joey are in and we were.
- 25:38And OG is a part of it and. OG is a part of it as well.
- 25:41It's a Tobacco and pipe association, Tobacco Product
- 25:45Association. What it is is it's Mel Olivano's
- 25:48ROCF, and when they went to New Orleans, you weren't able to
- 25:52smoke there, so. Originally that was the.
- 25:54Plan. That was the original plan.
- 25:55So what he did, him and the other three partners rented a, a
- 26:01warehouse and the only way you can get in there is if you know
- 26:05me or Joey or anybody that's in the TPA.
- 26:08If you don't know him, you're not going to be able to get in.
- 26:12So you know. So guys, on that note, we're
- 26:16going to take a 5 minute break and we'll be right back with our
- 26:19guests, Mr. Wayne Ellis. What is up?
- 30:52What is up? Happy Sunday, Happy fun day.
- 30:55I am the big dog. Just the vanilla gorilla and the
- 30:58OG. Also sporting the shirts from
- 31:00poorjohnsapparel.com. Go get yours.
- 31:04Go get your turnbuckles and stogies merchandise all over
- 31:06there. We're all over there.
- 31:08We got hats, we got shirts. We got.
- 31:11We might even have a couple of flags, some flags coming soon.
- 31:16Maybe we'll see. OG how you?
- 31:18Feeling good, how are you guys doing?
- 31:21Just wonderful. I know you had a bad migraine
- 31:23last night, so I'm just making sure you're doing all right.
- 31:26Oh yeah, much better today. Thank you for asking.
- 31:30OK, so jeez, where am I going to start?
- 31:36I don't even know where to start.
- 31:41I mean, he's answered every question he's got.
- 31:42So it's, it's kind of hard for you.
- 31:44It's. Kind of hard for.
- 31:47Me and I, we, we do love the fact that you know you, you are
- 31:51able to answer the questions and you have a, a wealth of
- 31:55knowledge behind you working with the factories and you know
- 32:01the brand and stuff like that. And for people who don't know,
- 32:03you said you came back to New York and filed the necessary
- 32:08paperwork. Kind of take us through that
- 32:11process. What was that like?
- 32:12Because I've heard it's a a big like red tape kind of deal and
- 32:18it takes a long time. After I made the cigar, DMDR
- 32:26came back and I did my, I did my regular business license.
- 32:32I did my EIN, which is my tax taxes.
- 32:36And then I filed for my tobacco license.
- 32:38And actually it wasn't a very long process.
- 32:42It was actually pretty smooth, surprisingly.
- 32:46And that was pretty much, yeah, that was pretty much it.
- 32:49And, and now kind of if, if you want to, what was the, how much
- 32:55did all of that wind up costing you to, you know, get all of
- 32:59your licenses, your wholesale and distributor license?
- 33:02Do you have your retail license as well?
- 33:05Well. A license.
- 33:07I don't have a distributor license, I just have a retail
- 33:10tobacco license. OK, OK.
- 33:13Now what was how much did that? Yeah.
- 33:14I always like knowing when people say they're in, you know,
- 33:17they're from whether it's California, Florida, NY, kind of
- 33:21the different price ranging between, you know, the states.
- 33:31On cigars. Cigars.
- 33:34Yeah, we have a 75% tax and that that's the worst.
- 33:39So. What's the?
- 33:41Each one of your cigars cost. So my cigars start up 14 and go
- 33:46to the most expensive is 18. I don't go no higher than that.
- 33:50And that's the Churchill, correct?
- 33:52That's the Churchill, yes. And where can they pick them up?
- 33:57Can they order directly from you?
- 33:59They got to go to a store. You can order on Caribe list
- 34:04cigars.com.com or you can always DM me on Instagram.
- 34:10Caribe list cigars on Instagram. OK.
- 34:14If you are in Brooklyn you can order from Havana dreams.
- 34:17No sorry Queens Havana dreams cigar lounge.
- 34:22If you are in Brooklyn, NY, vape on Cloud on Washington Ave.
- 34:27which is 619 Washington. OK.
- 34:31If you're in Barbados, you can get it from Platinum Core Cigar
- 34:35Lounge in Lion Girl Saint James. OK.
- 34:40Christchurch here in Barbados. Memories of Barbados gift shop.
- 34:45That's one of my new locations, and there's a bar called Flaming
- 34:52Pelican Bar and Grill in Barbados as well.
- 34:57OK, so let me ask you this question.
- 35:00When somebody places an order with you, is there a minimum on
- 35:05how many boxes they have to order or can they just as?
- 35:07Far as like a a retail location. Can they order just one box from
- 35:12you and see if it sells or do they got to order all nine?
- 35:16No, they could do one or two. I don't.
- 35:18I don't push for that. I welcome the idea of they doing
- 35:24a sample of one or two boxes and working to see how it goes.
- 35:29I'm fine with that. I'm fine with that.
- 35:31And do you, let's say they run out, can they order a bundle
- 35:36from you and put it back into the box?
- 35:39Or they got to order a whole new box?
- 35:49Can't hear you, can't hear you, can't hear you.
- 35:54We can't hear you. You cut out.
- 35:58Cut. Out, cut out, we can't hear.
- 36:14Giving me a hard time Hearing Wi-Fi is giving me a hard time.
- 36:17Can you hear me now? Can you?
- 36:19Hear me now. Yeah, now say it again.
- 36:20I'm sorry. What happened?
- 36:27Can you hear us? Hear us.
- 36:29Can you hear me? Can you hear me?
- 36:31Yes, yes. So now you were saying that can
- 36:36they order a box or do they have to?
- 36:39Can they just replace it with a bundle?
- 36:42Can you guys see me at all? Yes, I can hear you.
- 36:46Yes, yes, I. Don't know what happened here?
- 36:52Let's. See.
- 37:01Can you hear me? Yes.
- 37:03Can you hear us? We can hear.
- 37:10Us. We can hear you.
- 37:11He can't hear us. He can't hear us.
- 37:16Sorry, exit and rejoin again. Exit and come back in.
- 37:22So OG, let's get back to wrestling.
- 37:26What are you watching? What are you watching?
- 37:28Alright, it's over now. Summer slam Summer.
- 37:32Slam. So what did you think?
- 37:34There we go. What did you think of the first
- 37:40match? I'm just bringing this down so I
- 37:41can see when he jumps back in. I got to remember what the first
- 37:46match was. That was the the ladies started
- 37:48off the show right? The opening match was EO and
- 37:52Liv. Oh, I thought that was a
- 37:54fantastic match. I did too, but.
- 37:57I'm going to be honest, I, I have to say, I thought.
- 38:00Liv was. I thought EO was going.
- 38:02To no. I like that match.
- 38:03My favorite match besides obviously Punk and hold on, he's
- 38:09back. Hold on, hold on.
- 38:11Can you hear us now? There we go.
- 38:16I can hear him I. Can hear you.
- 38:18I can hear you now. Again, let's ask a question.
- 38:22Can they reorder a bundle and put it in the box or do you want
- 38:26them to order a whole new box? I have no problem with that.
- 38:32So they can, they can refill the boxes because a lot of companies
- 38:35now are going to like you can buy the boxes to start with and
- 38:39then you can order bundles from there.
- 38:42So the pricing is a little cheaper on the retailer's end so
- 38:46that they don't, if they don't want to charge as much, they
- 38:49don't have to because you're cut.
- 38:51You remember, you know, like a lot of people don't understand
- 38:53is you're making up for the price of the box and everything
- 38:56else when you charge per cigar. And especially in New York, you
- 39:00know, you know, obviously it's a 75% tax.
- 39:03So every little bit that the retailer can save to kind of not
- 39:07pass off to the consumer is a big win in your book, in our
- 39:11book, in the retailer's book, because that business keeps
- 39:14coming back. Well, let's ask Dennis about
- 39:16that. Oh Gee, tell us about that part
- 39:18when you had a when you were working in a shop and that that
- 39:23happened. Yeah, it was pretty much their
- 39:28goal was to be able to just reorder bundles.
- 39:30They're bigger companies that make you order brand new boxes.
- 39:36You know, the major brands like David off you, you couldn't
- 39:39order bundles. You had to keep reordering
- 39:41boxes. So that was a little more
- 39:43expensive. But whenever we could, we just
- 39:45try to order bundles and replenish the boxes we already
- 39:48have in stock, you know? What I normally do is I just
- 39:55like I said, I do wholesale anyway to a a retail location.
- 40:00So I don't actually charge the full price on my cigars.
- 40:03It's like you say you are a retailer so you're selling my
- 40:07brand. I do a wholesale price for that
- 40:10for that person that's doing the retailing.
- 40:14So bundle doing a bundle to refill is not a problem.
- 40:20OK. So now let me ask you this
- 40:22question. So let's say we, Joe and OG
- 40:25wanted to order from you. Do we get the wholesale price or
- 40:30do we get a retail price? I'm just curious.
- 40:32We ask everybody this. Well, I, I mean, it depends on
- 40:36if it well, it just depends if you're, if you are, if you are
- 40:41retailing, let's say you're retailing to a location or doing
- 40:44something like that, I can do that.
- 40:46But if you doing like a special event or something like that,
- 40:50yeah, I could do that for you as well.
- 40:52OK. OK.
- 40:56I had something. I had something in my head.
- 40:58Oh Gee, we need some questions. Here I lost my question.
- 41:01I had it and then I oh, OK, now I remember took me a second.
- 41:05So I know you said you working, you're working with a factory in
- 41:08the Dr. and now you're working with a factory in Nicaragua as
- 41:12well, correct? No, I'm just.
- 41:20OK. Just working with GR in Brooklyn
- 41:22now. Is it a?
- 41:24Is it a big factory in the Dr. or a smaller factory?
- 41:29Big factory. Oh, this one, the second one
- 41:32that makes Perfecto is a smaller factory that I just started
- 41:36working with because I actually met the owner person here in
- 41:38Brooklyn, here in Brooklyn, and I actually agreed to work with
- 41:42him. But yeah, so the biggest
- 41:45factory, that's the one that makes the Habino, the beach
- 41:48life, the Nicaragua, Yeah. OK.
- 41:56Now, have you been to the to the factories in the Dr. at all?
- 41:59Dr. at. All I actually picked the blends
- 42:03out, sit down and talk with them.
- 42:06I actually learned to roll as well, but I don't really have
- 42:08the time and space, right, Right.
- 42:11But I actually go there. I'm actually going back in a
- 42:13couple weeks. Now, now let me, I, I love
- 42:18asking everybody this when they say they've gone to the factory,
- 42:21they've picked their blends. What was that process like?
- 42:24And kind of how, how many did you smoke throughout the days
- 42:27you were there? Did you smoke full size?
- 42:30Did you smoke little parejos? How did you kind of do that?
- 42:35Well, when I first started, I actually had to smoke like 7
- 42:38different cigars. I didn't actually smoke them all
- 42:40the way through to get an idea of what I was looking for, to
- 42:47get the idea of the blend that I wanted and the particular taste.
- 42:53So the process really is you go there first, you do a walk
- 42:58around the factory to smell all the different aromas, a
- 43:02different type of tobacco leaves to get an idea.
- 43:07And like I said, I was kind of doing the field, so he was
- 43:09teaching me how to do that. But that's basically the
- 43:12process. You go, you go on the different
- 43:15leaves, different aromas, right? And then you go in the office
- 43:20and then you, he lays out all these cigars, about 10 different
- 43:25cigars and you just sit there and you smoke.
- 43:28So do you like this one? Do you like this one?
- 43:31Do you like that one? So you don't actually smoke all
- 43:33the way through, but you try to get an idea of, you know what
- 43:37you're looking for, the plan you're looking for, the case
- 43:40you're looking for that. That's basically the process
- 43:43when you go to the factory. Now what?
- 43:47What was your favorite part of that process?
- 43:51From, like you said, from walking around, smelling the
- 43:53aromas, looking at the field, looking at the plants, learning,
- 43:57and then to kind of smoking and blending your cigars.
- 44:00What was your favorite part of that experience?
- 44:09Process. Because remember, I was just a
- 44:10smoker before I got into the game, so I actually enjoyed the
- 44:15entire process because they actually teach me about what
- 44:19cigars really are and what it takes to make a cigar.
- 44:23Because when you're just smoking, you don't really care
- 44:25about that. But when you ask me in the
- 44:27business, you actually appreciate the whole process.
- 44:32You know the main, you know the truth of the lands.
- 44:38Yes, yes, that's the word. I'm looking for more
- 44:40appreciation for the business. That's like when me, Joey and OG
- 44:45went to barn smoker. OG has never been a barn smoker.
- 44:49In in Connecticut, but drew a state.
- 44:51OG had a blast with us. Yeah.
- 44:54Oh yeah, barn smoker. And it's, it's very, you know,
- 44:58and it's, it's funny, like we said, you know, they, they take
- 45:00you to the field and you see the field, you know, where the
- 45:04tobacco is grown. They show you a Mason jar that
- 45:06has like maybe that much of feeds and how it plants like,
- 45:10you know, 10,000 tobacco plants. They take you to the curing
- 45:14barn. They show you the leaves on the
- 45:16curing barn. You know, stuff like obviously
- 45:19you don't see the rolling process because that's done in
- 45:22their factory, but like you see, like you said, all of the
- 45:25process leading up to that you get to, they had a station that
- 45:29you can put your own wrapper on the cigar, you know, like it
- 45:32was. Joey put his wrapper.
- 45:34On did it perfectly. And it fell apart.
- 45:37And then I forgot to put the glue on and then I had to unwrap
- 45:39it and put it back together and it didn't come back the same.
- 45:42But you know, it's, it's like you said, it gives you more of
- 45:46an appreciation for what they do and, and what you're smoking
- 45:50because you've seen the, the scenes, the fields and
- 45:54everything else. So what what can people look
- 46:02forward to seeing from you in the in the coming year?
- 46:07Do you have any more releases coming out?
- 46:10What is? What is next for you and your
- 46:12brand? So I'm trying to do, I'm going
- 46:17to make the potential in Maduro. I'm not paying to listen, no,
- 46:23but I'm going to put the I'm going to try to do it with a San
- 46:26Andreas and do his trap, yeah. So that's the that's the little
- 46:31perfecto that I. Smoked.
- 46:32Gee, what? Do you suggest?
- 46:34He does with a cigar. Yes.
- 46:35He smokes 7 cigars a day. 7 is a a warm up for him.
- 46:44What do you suggest he does OG? Hey, man, I, I, I really don't.
- 46:51I can't answer that. I don't know.
- 46:55He's got a lot of blends out there.
- 46:57He's got a lot of cigars out there.
- 46:58I don't know what else he can make.
- 47:02I kind of agree. With all the oh, OK, I see.
- 47:05So the beach life, you're going to make into the beach life,
- 47:07Perfecto, you're going to make into a a Maduro.
- 47:12Yep, yeah. That's one of my new ideas
- 47:15already. That one, yes.
- 47:17I OK, I mean, if it's anything, you know, if it's anything like
- 47:21this cigar, I I can definitely see that being a a big hit
- 47:27because it's that that small size that people are looking
- 47:31for. It's going to pack that punch
- 47:33for the fuller body smoker and it's going to give you all of
- 47:38that richness of that San Andreas rapper.
- 47:45Now, what is besides your own brand?
- 47:49And we like to ask this question, besides your own
- 47:53brand, what are what is your go to brand or what's the other
- 47:58cigars do you like to smoke? My father judge Grand Robusto,
- 48:11that's the what, 5 1/2 by 60 I think it is or something like
- 48:14that. It's.
- 48:16It's actually 5 by 60, but it's built more square so you can't
- 48:20really tell. Right.
- 48:21It's it's kind of a square weight, I guess what you call
- 48:24box press cigar. Yeah.
- 48:27Yeah, but it's an amazing cigar. I I love that cigar.
- 48:31That's one of my goal tools. Another brand brand I like is H.
- 48:40So yeah, I'm going to ask you this question.
- 48:43Have you ever smoked Jonathan Juice cigar?
- 48:46Drew Estate? Drew Estate.
- 48:48Yes I have. When I first started smoking I
- 48:52was smoking flavored. I like the Javas.
- 48:55I like the the Betty's. Like I say, it's been a minute
- 49:06so I can't remember all of them, but like those are whites.
- 49:10That's what I used to like for Jewish state.
- 49:13I like some of their regular brands as well, but then they I
- 49:17like Jewish State. That's fine.
- 49:23No. And you know, we, we always like
- 49:25asking those questions because a lot of people, and, and this is
- 49:29something we've learned talking to other brand and business
- 49:32owners of cigar companies and OG can tell you this.
- 49:37People think a lot of brand owners only smoke their stuff.
- 49:41But a lot of every brand owner we've spoke to will tell you in
- 49:44order to be a good, be good at what you're doing in the cigar
- 49:50industry, you have to smoke everything that's out there.
- 49:54And Jonathan Jewell, smoke, whatever.
- 49:56He and and that's, that's kind of what we've learned is, you
- 49:59know, while you may have your own brand, you still have to go
- 50:02out there and see what's new on the market, see what's been out
- 50:07and to be able to either not make something that's out
- 50:12already or kind of replicated, but put your own twist on it.
- 50:16And I, and I think that's what a lot of people don't understand
- 50:19as well. So it's like the box press
- 50:23cigars. Like nobody realizes why they
- 50:27made a box press cigar. A box press cigar was made
- 50:33because when you puff on a cigar, you get the air in
- 50:38between your lips. The two sides of your mouth 2.
- 50:41Sides of your mouth and it extends.
- 50:43It cools the smoke off. It extends the taste and it
- 50:46cools off the smoke, where when you smoke a round cigar, it
- 50:50doesn't do that because all you're doing is puffing and
- 50:52letting go. You know, nobody realizes that.
- 50:58And I found that out to our buddy Rick Rodriguez, who has
- 51:03his own cigars out West Ham, so. Now, have you, have you
- 51:07considered making a box for a cigar?
- 51:09Is that something you're you're eventually going to do down the
- 51:12line? But I tried to be very the
- 51:17reason why I like handmade. I tried to be unique and
- 51:21appreciate the culture of the cigars of being handmade out.
- 51:25That was my real purpose and theme behind my brand.
- 51:30OK, no. And you know, that's that's what
- 51:33we like as well. We know we like people who take
- 51:36pride in their product, who take pride in, you know, working with
- 51:39people who want you to have the best product you can possibly
- 51:44have. I mean, we've had people on here
- 51:47that, you know, put their cigars out and they were they they
- 51:53didn't really take their time with it.
- 51:56And you could tell it showed in the product where you can see
- 52:01through what you've learned and what you know and the way you're
- 52:04telling us all about your stuff, that you not only take pride in
- 52:08your product, but you want to make sure that the best possible
- 52:12product gets in the hands of the consumers.
- 52:18Correct. It takes a lot because you have
- 52:20to to really get better at this. You have to actually sit with
- 52:24your customers, smoke with them, have a conversation with them,
- 52:29listen to the criticism of the customer.
- 52:32All right, so I have, I have customers in Abu Dhabi, loves my
- 52:37Nicaragua. I sat there with another guy and
- 52:41he said to me, I love it, but they want it stronger.
- 52:43So these things you have to listen to and you have to take
- 52:47in and that makes you better. So now you can improve your
- 52:51product. So it's very important so you
- 52:56know, to listen to your customers, have a conversation
- 52:59with them and that makes you but again, like you say, you smoke
- 53:03other cigar brands and you get you get ideas like, you know,
- 53:08like the reason for my 5 by 60, this actually does the gauge
- 53:13actually came about flocking the inch brand.
- 53:15I don't know if you've heard of inch brand, but like they have a
- 53:195 by 60, which I'm in love with and that's what inspired me to
- 53:23make this 5 by 60 as well. So you know, smoking brands
- 53:27gives you ideas. It makes you better watching,
- 53:34right? So you always have to maintain
- 53:37quality and freshness. That's very important because
- 53:40your brand is always at stake. Now I'm going to, I'm going to
- 53:46turn it over to the OG so that he can ask his favorite question
- 53:50that he loves to ask and find out from everybody that we
- 53:54interview. And I, I think it's a great
- 53:56question. So I'm going to, I'm going to
- 53:58turn it over to him to go ahead and ask away about that question
- 54:03and, you know, let him do his thing.
- 54:08All right, so you, you, you can get one hour of unrepted time,
- 54:14no phone calls, no business, no interruptions whatsoever.
- 54:20Who would you spend that time with that one hour to smoke a
- 54:24cigar with? It could be passed.
- 54:29OK with a friend of mine. Well, well, the friend I have
- 54:35now, it's a guy that I grew up with him or actually school
- 54:39together. His name is Reynolds.
- 54:42We are friends for 30 years. He is one of the few people in
- 54:47my life that I can be what you call be myself where like the
- 54:53jokes, the memories, stuff like that, that that's one of the few
- 54:58people that I can say that I can spend an uneractive hour and and
- 55:02just have fun. Like it's like being back as a
- 55:05kid growing up, growing up. So that's one of my view people
- 55:09that I was spread that interrupted R with because it's
- 55:12like, it's like growing up again with him.
- 55:15It's so it's just fun, yeah. So being that you're down there
- 55:24Barbados now, have you ran into the rentals guy and have you
- 55:28guys smoked or what he's? Actually, back in New York, he's
- 55:33not here right now. Right now so I didn't talk to
- 55:39him on the phone. Has he tried your brand yet?
- 55:41Has he sat down and smoked with you?
- 55:44Yes, he has. Yes, he has.
- 55:46And, and what does, what does he think about you guys being
- 55:50friends for so long, starting your own brand and kind of what
- 55:54you've done? He loves it, he appreciates it.
- 56:00You know, he compliment me all the time.
- 56:02He's very happy for me that I went that route.
- 56:06Yeah. So we, we talk all the time.
- 56:09He's very happy with that with. That and you said you were
- 56:12retired from where again? NYPD, New York, NY.
- 56:17OK. Well, thank you for your sorry.
- 56:20Sorry you got out so soon, but I'm right behind you.
- 56:23I got out last year so I'm good. Awesome.
- 56:27Thank you. Thank you.
- 56:28Thank you for your service as well.
- 56:30You know, I guess I'm covered. With them, yeah.
- 56:34I, you, you are for being so new in the business.
- 56:41I, I will say your knowledge is very, you have a lot of
- 56:47knowledge behind you, which to me is a very big thing because
- 56:52you don't hear a whole lot about brands like yours where you're
- 56:57only a couple years old that have such vast knowledge of
- 57:01cigars behind them. Correct.
- 57:06Now I don't I think we touched on it a little bit.
- 57:10I know you said this is a 5 by 60 San Andreas rapper.
- 57:14What is the the blend inside? I you might have touched on it
- 57:18and I I might have missed it. Oh, so it's rapper San Andreas.
- 57:30They to filler is Dominican and Cuban seed and the binder is
- 57:39Indonesia, Sumatra. And now this is made in your
- 57:44your factory in Dr. Yes, it is. OK, now I know you said it's a
- 57:52bigger factory. Do you, are you allowed to share
- 57:55the name or or would you prefer not to?
- 57:56It's totally up to you. I could share it.
- 58:00The company's called Essentia. OK, OK.
- 58:06They make they make a lot of different, a lot of that.
- 58:09That company probably makes a whole lot of different brands.
- 58:12I. I wouldn't be surprised if
- 58:15there's brands out there that we've smoked that, you know, we
- 58:19don't even know that that's where it's made.
- 58:23Right. Yeah.
- 58:25I mean, you any, any questions for us being that we've, you've
- 58:30kind of covered a whole lot about your brand and kind of
- 58:35what you do and you got any, any questions for us?
- 58:41Anything we can, anything we can also do to help you as well,
- 58:47Just reach out to us and let us know, you know, we'll help you
- 58:51out any way we can, whether it's, you know, you want to have
- 58:54us try whatever new stuff you have coming out.
- 58:57You want to come on and and film it like a little interview while
- 59:01we're smoking it and kind of do like a a live, a live or
- 59:07recorded like raw kind of taste test, you know, tasting panel
- 59:11that's always open to you as well.
- 59:16Now, do you guys have I know you have the cigars and stuff.
- 59:19Do you have shirts and hats or anything like that that people
- 59:22can order or is that? I have shirts, hats, lighters,
- 59:28sweatshirts, hats, moms, you name it, I have it.
- 59:31OK, no, you know, and that's a big thing because we had sat
- 59:35down with another company, Revere.
- 59:38We had actually just interviewed him as well.
- 59:40He had reached out to us because he had seen our content pop up
- 59:43in his Instagram feed. All right, And he's the same.
- 59:48He's the same way. He said, you know, I, I sent you
- 59:51guy, I reached out to you guys. He's like, and I sent you
- 59:54lighters, whiskey glasses, pins. He said, because I'm a, he said
- 1:00:00I'm a, I'm a swag Corp, as he calls it when it comes to cigar
- 1:00:03companies. He said he likes to collect swag
- 1:00:05or you know, what he can get his hands on.
- 1:00:08So that's why we, I, I like to ask that question because there
- 1:00:11are people that do like to collect cigar stuff.
- 1:00:14Whether it's lighter hat cutter shirts, mugs, you know, that's
- 1:00:19that's why I ask because it's always an interesting concept to
- 1:00:22hear what different companies have.
- 1:00:25And OG can tell you we've seen all kinds of swag from cigar
- 1:00:29companies on this show. I mean it, it gets very
- 1:00:35interesting when you get people who are very creative.
- 1:00:37They, they get very creative with what they put their stuff
- 1:00:43on. So it's always, it always
- 1:00:45interests me to see what companies offer.
- 1:00:48Cause I've seen beach falls, I've seen frisbees, I've seen
- 1:00:52footballs, lighters, cutters, I've seen napkins.
- 1:00:57I, I mean, you name it. Well, for me, I.
- 1:01:01Have I actually made those for my personal?
- 1:01:03I made, I made blankets. So to be on the airplane with, I
- 1:01:07have beach towels. I've made these slippers, but
- 1:01:12those are for me. But like if someone wants them,
- 1:01:17I, I can have it. That's not a problem.
- 1:01:21I just try to be creative because like I said, when you
- 1:01:24are a small guy in this big tobacco market, it's like you
- 1:01:29have to market your, you have to market yourself.
- 1:01:31So you always have to be creative, put interesting things
- 1:01:35out there. So, but I don't know when I
- 1:01:40first started this cigar game until I really start using like
- 1:01:45I mean, I feel that normally personally that I smoke with in
- 1:01:47the lounge. I knew I had cigars but didn't
- 1:01:52know that I actually go to the factory and do the leg work.
- 1:01:55They thought it was just one of those guys that was just buying
- 1:01:57cigars and putting a label on it until I actually post my videos
- 1:02:02of me being in the factory, you know?
- 1:02:06So that taught me a lot with the Instagram that you have to that
- 1:02:11constant content makes people look at you.
- 1:02:14Different. Different.
- 1:02:15Correct. You know, so Instagram has been
- 1:02:20really great for me and my business because it gives me a
- 1:02:24lot of exposure, you know, you know, just see what I do and
- 1:02:29what I have. Like I said, I have a little bit
- 1:02:31of everything and like I said, in the business, your brain is
- 1:02:34constantly going. So sometimes you have to see
- 1:02:37this night square. You just thinking, well, there's
- 1:02:39no idea this new cigar where you would like to be.
- 1:02:43So that's that's for me. That's how it's been.
- 1:02:47No, and that's good and you know a lot.
- 1:02:48We've interviewed a couple of companies who even started their
- 1:02:51own YouTube channel content about their cigars.
- 1:02:56Like, you know, they'll do like a 10 minute, you know, kind of
- 1:03:01breakdown of their cigar and what's in it.
- 1:03:03And then, you know, sometimes they'll smoke it and kind of
- 1:03:07walk you through the, the transitions in the cigars and
- 1:03:11the flavour notes and, and profiles and stuff like that.
- 1:03:14It's, it's actually an interesting concept, you know,
- 1:03:17that a lot of companies are starting to do now as well.
- 1:03:21And even though YouTube can sometimes be somewhat of a
- 1:03:29What's up Uncle Hector, Uncle Hector's watching OG.
- 1:03:37A long time friend of the show. Yes, very long time friend of
- 1:03:40the show and a guy who is very good friends with our our
- 1:03:45blender that we're working with in Florida.
- 1:03:47So I'm excited for that as well. But yeah, I, I mean, I
- 1:03:53appreciate you coming on. I look forward to having you
- 1:03:56back again for sure and just tell people again where they
- 1:04:01can, where they can follow you, where they can order your stuff.
- 1:04:05This way, if they want to get it, they can go get it and try
- 1:04:08it. So.
- 1:04:10Caribe. Blisscigars.com is the actual
- 1:04:12website to order from. If you want to follow me, go
- 1:04:15follow me on Caribe Bliss Cigars on Instagram.
- 1:04:19OK, so there you have it guys. Caribe Bliss cigars.com.
- 1:04:24Follow him on Instagram at Caribe Bliss Cigars.
- 1:04:28Go pick up your cigars. I can tell you you won't be
- 1:04:30disappointed. This one so far out of out of
- 1:04:33what you sent besides the the Bayville one that you had sent
- 1:04:36me. This right here is probably my
- 1:04:39favorite because I just I enjoy this 5 by 60 size.
- 1:04:43There's I don't I don't do a whole lot of big ring gauges,
- 1:04:45but I do like those those shorter, bigger ring gauge
- 1:04:50smokes every once in a while. So it's it's good for me to
- 1:04:53have. But yeah, I appreciate you
- 1:04:57coming on. Thank you.
- 1:04:58We would love to have you back again.
- 1:05:02You know, if you if you release something new and you want to
- 1:05:04come on or like I said, you want to do a, you know, a, a raw
- 1:05:08testing panel, you let us know and we'll make it happen.
- 1:05:12And we appreciate you and hope to talk to you again soon.
- 1:05:17OK, I. Will look.
- 1:05:21For that, yes, so. And I want, I want to thank you
- 1:05:25guys as well for allowing me to be here in the platform.
- 1:05:30Absolutely. And like I said, you're always
- 1:05:32welcome back. Anything we can do to help you,
- 1:05:34you let us know. Between myself, OG and my dad,
- 1:05:40we will, you know, do what we can to help get your brand out
- 1:05:43there and make sure people know about it because the cigars are
- 1:05:46fantastic. Thank you so much.
- 1:05:54Appreciate that as well. No problem and thank you.
- 1:05:57So on that note, guys, we're going to take a quick break and
- 1:06:00we will see you on the other side.
- 1:06:02All right. So we are back, We are winding
- 1:10:31down here. Like I said, want to thank Mr.
- 1:10:35Ellis for jumping on with us and letting us smoke his cigars with
- 1:10:39him. And now I just want to I'm going
- 1:10:44to put you down and then we're going to wrap up here with our
- 1:10:49last few minutes of covering from wrestling.
- 1:10:52If you want to hang around for a few minutes.
- 1:10:56If not, then you can go. It is OK.
- 1:11:02And then we will finish wrapping up here and go from there.
- 1:11:10So I'm going to drop you down and then me and OG are going to
- 1:11:14get back to a little bit of Summer Slam and talk about some
- 1:11:17night too and get back with you guys again next week all.
- 1:11:25Right, I'll send you. A Yes.
- 1:11:32Shirt sizes. I'll send some shirts over TA.
- 1:11:36Most definitely we will. Thank you.
- 1:11:40OK. Appreciate that.
- 1:11:46Yes, thank you again for coming on and we appreciate you jumping
- 1:11:49on with us. So OG, we are back to our
- 1:11:59wrestling, our wrestling talk. I thought, let's let's just
- 1:12:05start with the fact I just read it again.
- 1:12:08I forgot about this, totally forgot to touch on this.
- 1:12:10The return of Haku to WWE programming.
- 1:12:14That was. I didn't.
- 1:12:16You didn't know about it, did you?
- 1:12:19I had. I did not, Haku.
- 1:12:21I had heard rikishi coming back. I saw the cane and I went, Oh,
- 1:12:27no way. Well, my my favorite part of
- 1:12:31that whole thing was not even him calling them the Sons of
- 1:12:34Haku. Nothing.
- 1:12:35It was what MFT now stands for. You know what it stands for?
- 1:12:41No. What does it stand for?
- 1:12:43Motherfucking Tongan, and I'm going to say it.
- 1:12:45I don't care. That's what it stands for.
- 1:12:48That's been confirmed that it now stands for that.
- 1:12:51And it doesn't stand for my family tree or my family tribe.
- 1:12:54It stands for the motherfucking Congans.
- 1:12:58That's unbelievable. That was a great surprise.
- 1:13:03Oh my God, that was awesome. I thought it was great.
- 1:13:06Yeah. Now, you watched all of last
- 1:13:10night, correct? I just, I just finished the last
- 1:13:13match with Oban Brock. What a great finish.
- 1:13:17I mean, I, I thought that match, people hated it.
- 1:13:20I thought it was great. What what popped me more out of
- 1:13:23that entire match was when Brock hit the tombstone and through
- 1:13:28the Oba like like Taker and and threw the tongue out.
- 1:13:33And I just to me, he did. If you watch that match, he did
- 1:13:36a lot of odes to Undertaker threw out.
- 1:13:38And it was little one that people didn't catch like when
- 1:13:41Oba sat up, when Brock sat up and looked at Oba and he started
- 1:13:44laughing. If people don't remember, Taker
- 1:13:48did that to Brock when they fought at WrestleMania.
- 1:13:52So it it's kind of a flashback to that.
- 1:13:54And then the tombstone on the boards and then the way Obel won
- 1:13:58by putting literally, as ARN Anderson and everybody would
- 1:14:02say, spine on the pine. And that's exactly how he won.
- 1:14:06Incredible. It was was incredible.
- 1:14:10I mean, there was another great man.
- 1:14:12People hated night one. I thought night 1 was great.
- 1:14:15What a lot of people didn't like was night one throughout all of
- 1:14:18the matches if you watched was a slow build.
- 1:14:22The automatic started out slow, which is a how how it's supposed
- 1:14:27to be. I I think they're going to find
- 1:14:30the people that didn't like night one will appreciate it
- 1:14:33more after night 2. I don't anticipating night 2
- 1:14:37being a dramatic at night one because the headline should have
- 1:14:42been Ober Brock night 2 and instead we're going to get Roman
- 1:14:47Reigns and Seth Rollins and I think that's not going to live
- 1:14:50up to it. I mean, it's, it's what match
- 1:14:53#5003. But I, I will say each time they
- 1:14:58do deliver, I can't knock that they deliver.
- 1:15:01I'm not saying that, no. No, no.
- 1:15:03I'm not saying to. I'm not saying that.
- 1:15:05It might be match number, however many in their, you know,
- 1:15:08rivalry, but man, they deliver every single time and I can't be
- 1:15:12mad at that. No, I, I, I'm not.
- 1:15:15I don't want to poo poo the match.
- 1:15:17I'm just saying in my mind, I don't think it's going to live
- 1:15:21up to Brock Oba, you know, you know, the Unstone hero in that
- 1:15:27match was Paul Heyman. His reaction throughout the
- 1:15:30entire match. Were.
- 1:15:34So spot on in they come across genuine and.
- 1:15:39Yes. And, and my favorite commentary
- 1:15:43line of that match was the very opening match, the very opening
- 1:15:48comment by Michael Cole when Brock came through the curtain.
- 1:15:53And that was to steal a line from my old favorite broadcast
- 1:15:58partner, Taz. Here comes the pain.
- 1:16:01And that was absolutely, that was poetic.
- 1:16:05That was beautiful because it literally sums up the entirety
- 1:16:09of Brock's career. I thought he was going to say
- 1:16:13when he stood up on the on the on the desk, the announcer desk,
- 1:16:16I thought the line was going to be the freak that beat the
- 1:16:21streak and he twisted a little bit.
- 1:16:24It wasn't quite exact, but I think if he said the freak that
- 1:16:27beat the streak it would have just slammed that home like.
- 1:16:33You know, Oba Brock was a once in a generation athlete.
- 1:16:39Let's just start there. Oh yeah, once in a generation
- 1:16:42athlete, you'll never see something like that ever again.
- 1:16:46The only one that might come close?
- 1:16:48Potential. Is over, is over.
- 1:16:51Is Ron Breaker? I they got to pick it up with
- 1:16:57him, man, they got to pick it up with him.
- 1:16:59Leave me I could do a whole another episode I.
- 1:17:01Love that alone. I love Breaker.
- 1:17:03I love you. Have you have Scott Steiner's
- 1:17:05kid who's in the NFL, who went his country?
- 1:17:08He said. When he's done in the NFL and
- 1:17:10he's done playing, he's going with his cousin.
- 1:17:14Oh, that what a what a team that will be.
- 1:17:17Again, if he's anything like his father and his uncle and his
- 1:17:21cousin, you can strap a rocket to him and send him to the moon
- 1:17:28now. Night 1, the highlight of the
- 1:17:35night to me, forget and not in a bad way, forget Oba Brock,
- 1:17:39forget Punk and and Cody and the return of Randy.
- 1:17:45And I'm not knocking any of that because I was excited to see
- 1:17:47Randy come back. I didn't see that either coming.
- 1:17:51Favorite, favorite, favorite part of the night, And I told
- 1:17:56you this from the beginning, was going to be the show stealer of
- 1:18:00the night, and that was the national treasure, Nick.
- 1:18:07All this versus that was by far my favorite match of the night
- 1:18:13because it delivered on every single level.
- 1:18:18Nick Nick showed up. He performed beyond my
- 1:18:23expectations and looked in in in Gunther.
- 1:18:28He sold it like I've never seen Gunther sell anything because in
- 1:18:33all of his matches. When you're getting in brilliant
- 1:18:36guy with all those accolades, right?
- 1:18:38And that's not a knock on the WWE guys, it's not a knock on AJ
- 1:18:42Goldberg, whatever. But you're getting in a ring
- 1:18:45with a guy who's been champion all over the world numerous
- 1:18:50times. He has held the most coveted
- 1:18:54title in the industry today and probably ever in the N.W.A
- 1:18:59championship. And the fact that, you know,
- 1:19:04having Wade Baradon commentary who started with Nick Aldis,
- 1:19:09sold it Even so much more as a not an underdog story, but a,
- 1:19:19you know, a life story. Yeah.
- 1:19:22You know, and, and to me that delivered on every level that I
- 1:19:27knew Nick, all this could deliver on.
- 1:19:29Do you know what more popped me for that match was at the very
- 1:19:33end when they went off the air and Nick is in front of Hunter
- 1:19:38and he hands his resignation and then when the moment Hunter
- 1:19:42started tearing that I'm like boom, Nick is not going
- 1:19:46anywhere. You.
- 1:19:49You did what a man has to do. You went out there and settled
- 1:19:52it like we do in WWE. You fought for what you believed
- 1:19:56in. Now it's time to get back to
- 1:19:58work. Yep, I loved it.
- 1:20:00I loved it. I'm going to say what everybody
- 1:20:03don't want to say. That's not the end of Nick Aldus
- 1:20:05in the WWE ring. Not even fucking close.
- 1:20:11I think. I think that match was huge for
- 1:20:14Nick Aldis to prove himself. And.
- 1:20:17To keep him in the ring. To keep him in the.
- 1:20:19Ring that, Nick tells you. You know, when I started and I
- 1:20:25got the call, he goes. I wasn't ready, he tells you.
- 1:20:28He wasn't ready for WWE that young.
- 1:20:30Yeah. He said I wasn't ready.
- 1:20:33Now he's ready, and you know his.
- 1:20:37His success came young, especially in TNA and they they
- 1:20:40shot him to the moon. I was a big fan of Nick back
- 1:20:43then British Invasion team with Doug Williams.
- 1:20:47I mean that was a great pairing. Nick is another one who is just
- 1:20:52a stellar fucking athlete. Stellar.
- 1:20:55And, and he, the, the GM role allowed him to refine his mic
- 1:21:01skills. Cuz I'll be honest with you, I
- 1:21:03was not a fan of his mic skills before, even in other companies.
- 1:21:08And that role allowed him to really develop the ability to
- 1:21:14speak and to sell without getting in the ring.
- 1:21:18And that's a huge, that's huge part of wrestling for wrestlers,
- 1:21:22right is the mic. And, and I think that also
- 1:21:25proved to WWE and TKO. And that I got a bone to pick
- 1:21:30with you. I do have a bone to pick with
- 1:21:32you. I didn't.
- 1:21:34I didn't know this. How come you didn't tell me?
- 1:21:37Nicky James was his wife. Yeah, I've said that numerous
- 1:21:42times. No, I've never heard you say
- 1:21:45that. Yeah, I didn't think, I thought
- 1:21:47you knew that already. No, I was stunned when they were
- 1:21:50like, Nicky James comes in with their son and I'm like, what the
- 1:21:52hell is she doing there? And then and then and then
- 1:21:56Michael Kohler or Barrett, one of them says his wife Nicky
- 1:21:59James. And I'm like, yeah, wait a
- 1:22:01minute, what the he's been? Married.
- 1:22:03They've been married since TNA. I did not know that.
- 1:22:07Yeah, they, they've been married a very long time.
- 1:22:10But I, I mean, I think to me by him having that match, getting
- 1:22:16the pop he got from the crowd. Yeah.
- 1:22:20Yeah, shows that number one, he's over with their audience #2
- 1:22:26people know who he is, regardless of him being the GM
- 1:22:31of Smackdown, right? Right.
- 1:22:35So I think that shows TKO that you can make money with him.
- 1:22:43It was huge. His performance was huge.
- 1:22:45The one that I really I wish they would let lace up the boots
- 1:22:50and he may not even want to is Adam Pierce.
- 1:22:55Adam Pierce is another multi time N.W.A champion across the
- 1:22:59board. I wouldn't be surprised now that
- 1:23:02Nick was in the ring that you could see those two.
- 1:23:06I could see those two as GMs having a tiff with people and
- 1:23:11getting in the ring with them as AGM.
- 1:23:13See that handled by like Nick Dudd, like Nick did, But Adam
- 1:23:20Pierce? If anybody doesn't know what
- 1:23:23he's done, go look up Adam Pierce's career and his matches
- 1:23:32because that dude was on another level when he wrestled.
- 1:23:38Yeah, yeah, yeah. They, I mean, he was the Iron
- 1:23:41Man, he was the scrap daddy Adam Pierce.
- 1:23:45I mean he, that dude has done Ring of Honor N.W.A.
- 1:23:50He was big in N.W.A, multi time champion, multi time Ring of
- 1:23:54Honor champion. He's been all over Japan,
- 1:23:58Europe, you name it. Oh yeah.
- 1:24:00So I, I'm not surprised. I feel like Adam it, it might be
- 1:24:05a little past the time Adam's got to get in the ring, but who
- 1:24:10knows? I mean, Adam's been doing it,
- 1:24:12what, almost five years now, Like Nick's been doing it 3 or
- 1:24:154. I mean, it's possible.
- 1:24:21It's possible that you see Adam Pierce in the ring.
- 1:24:27I I think you're going to see more of Nick Aldis in the ring.
- 1:24:32Knight 2 is shaping up to be fantastic with the ladder match.
- 1:24:37I think it's going to be great. That women's ladder match, you
- 1:24:39have Dan Housing and Dominic Mysterio for the human monies on
- 1:24:43a pole. I mean, this whole Knight 2 card
- 1:24:49is shaping up to be absolutely fantastic.
- 1:24:53I'm excited. I made it through the I made it
- 1:24:54through the whole show with no one calling me and just now
- 1:24:57someone called knocked my audio out.
- 1:24:59I just got it back. Can you?
- 1:25:00Hear me now. Yeah, I I got it back.
- 1:25:02OK, so I'm Knight 2 is shaping up to be great with that woman's
- 1:25:06match that I'm excited for that ladder match.
- 1:25:09I can't lie personally, that latter match I think is going to
- 1:25:13be fantastic. You got Dan wrestling.
- 1:25:16Tonight I I don't I again, I'm not pooing night 2.
- 1:25:20I think it's going to be very entertaining, but I think people
- 1:25:22will look back after Night 2 is done and say night one was
- 1:25:26better. Now I will tell you, I feel like
- 1:25:30they can't ever turn solo heel again because solo the way he is
- 1:25:36now is absolutely hilarious. Completely entertaining now.
- 1:25:42I, I, I don't think you can. I don't think you can turn him
- 1:25:46heel again. I don't think you can.
- 1:25:48There's no way. I feel like that's not a thing.
- 1:25:55Yeah, and he's gonna. I love the dynamics now with
- 1:25:58Haku being back. I, I the, the tribal wars.
- 1:26:02The tribal wars have just now I. Would love to see them bring
- 1:26:08back. As much as people are going to
- 1:26:10hate me, I'd love to see them bring back Tongaloa and put the
- 1:26:14three brothers together. Yeah.
- 1:26:17Because I feel like that's got to happen.
- 1:26:20And I'd love to see him bring Rikishi back.
- 1:26:22I'd love to see him bring Rikishi back.
- 1:26:24They. Talked about bringing Rikishi
- 1:26:25back for the bloodline. Well now will they?
- 1:26:29Will they because of that fuck up with ROH?
- 1:26:32What do? You mean?
- 1:26:35It wasn't an ROH that he had to fuck up with the they.
- 1:26:39They staged that beating and then it turned real.
- 1:26:43No, they didn't. Oh no, they didn't stay.
- 1:26:45They didn't. So that was his company.
- 1:26:46That was Knox Pro. They didn't stage that.
- 1:26:50They thought that he knew it wasn't.
- 1:26:54They thought Raja knew. But Raja should have made,
- 1:26:58shouldn't have done what he did regardless.
- 1:27:00That's a whole another. Oh yeah, no, I'm not saying I'm
- 1:27:03not saying that, but he but Rakishi took a lot of heat for
- 1:27:06that. He did, and he stepped away from
- 1:27:08Knox Pro since he has some stuff he had to take care of.
- 1:27:11I'd love to see him brought back to be the tribal chief of the
- 1:27:14bloodline, the Elder. There's talk Zilla might show
- 1:27:18up. I mean, to me, if you bring
- 1:27:23Zilla in, you have to put him and Jacob together.
- 1:27:31Yeah, as A tag team only because I've seen what they've done on
- 1:27:35the Independence together and separately.
- 1:27:37They both can go either way regardless.
- 1:27:39Separate together, it doesn't matter.
- 1:27:43I think if you bring Zilla in, you add another dynamic into the
- 1:27:46tag team division. Yep, But Zilla's also one you
- 1:27:51can shoot out on his own right away.
- 1:27:54Yeah. It's it's very interesting Night
- 1:27:572. There's talks Kevin Owens was
- 1:27:59supposed to come back as. A might be tonight for.
- 1:28:02Cody Randy came back last night. Kevin should be on his way,
- 1:28:08hopefully. I mean, there's a lot of stuff
- 1:28:12that can come out at night 2. I don't know I'm.
- 1:28:14Very. I would like to.
- 1:28:15I'd like. What I would love to see is
- 1:28:17Randy coming back, make an appearance again tonight and
- 1:28:20then KO come to his rescue. That would blow the roof off and
- 1:28:27be a great starting block maybe. Maybe KO, Maybe Sammy wrestles
- 1:28:33Finn for the title tonight. Oh yeah, that's.
- 1:28:37True. I mean, I personally want to see
- 1:28:39Finn win because it's been 10 years since he's held the title
- 1:28:41and I think he's well deserving of it.
- 1:28:44Sammy being a former champion, who knows KO could come back and
- 1:28:47help his old buddy win the title.
- 1:28:50So on that note guys. Or betray him.
- 1:28:54Could be, we don't know. Stay tuned.
- 1:28:57Next week we'll find out what happens.
- 1:28:59So on that note, we'll see you guys next week.
- 1:29:02Peace. Peace.
