- 0:00It is really nice, like a good makeout session. Now, they might
- 0:05be fewer in further between these days, depending on your relationship situation. Yeah,
- 0:10but you know what, if you're going to indulge at some point about
- 0:13making out, here are some expert tips. And I'm not the expert.
- 0:17Settled down, Okay, this is an actual bum right. I thought for
- 0:21sure there's a straight from the horse's mouth. Listen. Yeah, I've made
- 0:26out before. Okay, but it's one of those things. It's, like
- 0:29many things in life, you just really are on your own to figure it
- 0:32out. Yeah, you know what I mean. You see it in movies,
- 0:35I guess, and then you do it, and then you're like,
- 0:37Okay, that probably wasn't very good. Maybe I'll try this next time.
- 0:39Anybody ever say that you were a good or bad kisser? Did you ever
- 0:43have like a I never heard bad? Yeah, you know, I feel
- 0:45like you had enough of repetitions on the back of my hand growing up.
- 0:51Oh you never did that. Come on, I'm not inventing that that's a
- 0:55thing. In fact, I didn't even really do it. I just thought
- 0:58it would be relatable to say. If I'm being honest, I had to
- 1:03think about that because it had been so long. Yeah, you know,
- 1:04yeah, I think it was probably a boy thing. But yeah, just
- 1:07practice on the back of your hand. Anyway, So this expert has a
- 1:10few tips for you, okay, such as use some tongue while kissing,
- 1:15but not too much. Yeah, nothing worse than the tongue dart. Well,
- 1:19it's just how you use it. You don't have to do the dart
- 1:21thing, I know. But that's just like a little whack a mole coming
- 1:23out of your mouth. That's just it. I think everybody's been in that
- 1:26situation. It's like, oh boy, you really don't know what's going on
- 1:30here. Well, sometimes if it's if it's a really passionate sash, you
- 1:34know, it's just gonna do what it's gonna do, then there's no like
- 1:36controlling it, you know, But it's not always the case. This is
- 1:40really making me realize I haven't had like a makeout sash in a really long
- 1:45time. What's Nick doing? Can we bring them in? He's with our
- 1:49he's not going to be to be although you know, it would be good
- 1:51for the kids to see their parents so in love. Yeah, we kiss,
- 1:55you know, we flirt, do all of that. But yeah,
- 1:57full on. Yeah, I got draw the line because if you're doing that,
- 2:00then then what's next? You know, right, come in here,
- 2:05stay away from hickey? Is this expert suggests Absolutely, It's just no matter
- 2:09how excited you get during your makeout session, it's just so embarrassing for an
- 2:14adult, a professional, to be walking in with a hickey. Yes,
- 2:19there's nothing more like Uh. I mean even Taylor Swift had a hickey and
- 2:24that was just cringey a little bit. Yeah, you know. And is
- 2:28it more cringey for her or for Travis? Yeah, because you just couldn't
- 2:31hold it. Travis, You're no, you're gonna know. Then that's leaving
- 2:37a mark. I know when you do it. I mean really it is.
- 2:39You're doing it because you know what's gonna happen. It's not like a
- 2:43thing that you do because it's exciting or feels good. It's only to make
- 2:47a mark. It's almost like marking your territory in a way, which kind
- 2:52of feels a little weird. Girls we come to school in high school wearing
- 2:55turtlenecks middle of the summer. No, those were just courling iron burns.
- 3:00Oh yeah. Also, you got to know what to do with your hands
- 3:06while you make out. This is straight from the makeout experts. So,
- 3:09yeah, your hands play a very key role. Yeah, because do you
- 3:13put one man like on the side of their face. Well, they guess
- 3:16it kind of depends on the situation, but yeah, yeah, you don't
- 3:20want to just keep your hands like folded in your lap or behind your back.
- 3:23They say that instead, use your hands to gently clasp your partner's face
- 3:30or neck. Yeah. See that's what I was kind of thinking, like
- 3:31really just yeah, behind the ear, also occasionally running it through their hair
- 3:38with the back of their head. Yeah, that's that's what a morning the
- 3:43note. Yeah, how about this. Keep lip biting to a minimum.
- 3:46Another good tip from the making does experally ever bit your lip or you're like
- 3:51to the point where like ouch, like just stop. I know some people,
- 3:54especially when it's like the first time, if you've made out with somebody
- 3:57and then you get to see, they really like to bring out their whole
- 4:00bag of tricks. They really like to say, I've done this before.
- 4:03Watch this. You ever had someone bite your limp? You know, and
- 4:08then they really they pull on it looks like somebody's tongue and I got stuck
- 4:11to a frozen pole in the playground in the winter. And then after your
- 4:15first date, you look like you got stung by a bee. Oh man,
- 4:20what is your lips? I would think you ever got stung on the
- 4:26lip? Yes. Also, they suggest keeping your mouth in shape. You
- 4:31gotta keep that mouth. Find personal hygiene wise correct brushing, flossing, lip
- 4:36moisturizer not a bad idea. Mouthwash, Always have mouth washed, because you
- 4:41just never know. If you ever kiss somebody who has chapped lips, that
- 4:46might be the worst. I think i'd rather. I think i'd rather you
- 4:50have a little stanky breath, which then the chap lips like where I feel
- 4:55like your lip like you're leaving stuff behind. It's not okay, it's gonna
- 5:00cut your mouth. It's just like crispy. You're right. I never thought
- 5:03about how bad that is, just gross or just always have you know,
- 5:06I think I back in high school, I think that's just why you have
- 5:09gum on you all the time, because a case, is there anything worse
- 5:13When it's like an unplanned makeout session, you don't have gum. It's like,
- 5:15I'm sorry, I well, you're just not confident about it. And
- 5:19now that you're married and it's like in the morning you're like, oh gosh,
- 5:24but what you married me? It's exactly right. And finally, Amanda,
- 5:30this expert for Makeouts Better Makeouts suggests that you should make eye contact while
- 5:35kissing. Okay, where are we at on this? Because a nice little
- 5:42like knowing that somebody is paying attention and you like look at each other for
- 5:45a second is one thing. But the gawking there was nothing worse. I
- 5:48thought that was just the golden rule. You're not supposed to stare at each
- 5:51other when you're making out. Really, no, we love it. We
- 5:55go nose the nose, and we just you're locked locked, and it's like
- 5:59you're trying to look at one of those one of those pictures that you have
- 6:01to cross your eyes to see. It's like one of those No they do
- 6:06say, this is what the expert said. Okay, it's gotta be a
- 6:08glance. Pulling back from a kiss to glance at your lover is a great
- 6:12way to show interest and to get them ready, get them ready for more.
- 6:15Look at me, you knew it now. These quote bedroom eyes speak
- 6:18volumes. Just make sure you're ready for things to go to the next level.
- 6:23Okay, if you do this. Yeah, that's kind of what it
- 6:27is. It's like, without saying it, you look at each other.
- 6:30It's like it's go time. Man. A lot of people might be calling
- 6:32in sick for work today. Yeah for a nice little makeout Sash. I'll
- 6:36tell you what. It's all this chatter, you know, get a guy
- 6:40thinking a minute in the morning, big nutty eight point seven. We had
- 6:44went back to school coming up here, and Amanda, we're talking about your
- 6:46daughter going up to kindergarten for the first time. Yes, we got an
- 6:50interesting photo sent to us from actually a classmate of yours from back in the
- 6:56day. Her name was Becca, and she had a photo of an essay
- 7:00Amanda, you had written about yourself. Now we're trying to figure out the
- 7:03year. We're thinking you were maybe fourth, fifth, sixth, maybe it
- 7:08was seventh grade? Is is my target on this? So it looks like
- 7:12we were supposed to sit down and you had to interview somebody in your class.
- 7:16I would hope it'd be seventh grade. And listen, I was as
- 7:19immature as they came at this age. Oh, this sounds like the female
- 7:26version of me writing an essay. So I never knew we were so close.
- 7:30I think we, Yeah, we really would have been something. So
- 7:32I'm going to read the whole thing because it's interesting to learn about Amanda at
- 7:35this age. So she's writing about herself and it starts like this, Hi,
- 7:41I'm Amanda. I'm going to tell you a few things about my life.
- 7:47First of all, my family consists of my dad Lance, my mom
- 7:50Barb, and my brother Bo. This is my mom's side of the family.
- 7:55My dad lives in Colorado. So it's just good like background, goodn't
- 7:58focus to set the table, kid, that's what she's got going on at
- 8:01home. I also enjoy a lot of different hobbies. I played volleyball in
- 8:05the fall. This was for sure seventh Gradeish you were a big hoopster back
- 8:09then. Yeah, I think I stopped it. Everything stopped at eighth grade.
- 8:13Then it was dance, cheerleading, and uh, we'll get get We'll
- 8:16get to some of your hobbies in just a moment, and stopball in the
- 8:22spring. I also like to be in dance in my spare time. In
- 8:26your spare time, you like to be in dance when I have free time?
- 8:31Will I like to join activities? Okay, cool, so so far,
- 8:35so good. Now the person that I most admired is my cousin Sally.
- 8:41I've known you for a long time. I don't ever remember hearing about
- 8:45Sally. Sally still around me. Sally is still around Yep. Well,
- 8:48here's the thing about Sally. She is a perfect friend and cousin because she's
- 8:54nice, understanding, and easy to talk to. Same paragraph, by the
- 8:58way, we go on to now, my favorite animal is the humpback and
- 9:07the sperm whale. I was really into the ocean, you were. Now,
- 9:13these are two different kinds of whale, right, but you couldn't You
- 9:16couldn't decide, so you had to say both. Now. I don't know
- 9:22if your favorite animals changed over the years. Do you remember what drew you
- 9:26to specifically the humpback and the sperm whale? At this age, we were
- 9:31probably learning about it in school at the time, so I was just really
- 9:35intrigued. Yeah, big, big marine life girl. Didn't you want to
- 9:41be a marine biologist at this point? Don't we get to that? Oh?
- 9:43Yeah, sorry, She goes on. I have two pets, a
- 9:46dog and a fish. A fish. It wasn't a whale, wasn't I
- 9:50don't remember a fish when I grow up. I want to be a lawyer
- 9:56or a beautician. Lofty goals. I also would want to teach a dance
- 10:05class on the side. Okay, nice, it would make sense. One
- 10:09of the most interesting places for me to visit it would be Tokyo Schlong.
- 10:20Now I've heard of Tokyo. I mean, can you enlighten me on what
- 10:26or where Tokyo Slong is? You know? Sure I don't recall something else
- 10:37I was learning in history or geography. Oh, actually, you explain yourself
- 10:39here. In the next sentence, you say, I don't know if this
- 10:43is really a place, but it sounds really interesting just by the name.
- 10:48If there isn't such a place, they should make one. They the Earth
- 10:56should just create create a place called Tokyo Schlang. Okay, yeah, it's
- 11:01interesting. What else you know? What the heck? Let's google app because,
- 11:07yeah, there is one more paragraph. Actually, we're gonna take it
- 11:09home here. One of my favorite Minnesota pastimes is shopping. I love to
- 11:16shop. I get some money and watch out mal here I come. Yeah.
- 11:24I also love to watch TV. My favorite show is Melrose Place.
- 11:31I told you I loved it, I guess. Some of my favorite hobbies
- 11:35include listening to music and relaxing. Boy. I hope they changed over the
- 11:45year because I don't know how well that play on a dating app. Yeah.
- 11:48Probably, So what do you like to do? Relax? Relax?
- 11:52One of my hobbies is relaxing. Do we have any update on Tokyo Shan.
- 11:58I went to Google and that is not a that a not in fact
- 12:00a place. Nope, Tokyo, Yes, Tokyo Shlong is not. No,
- 12:05it's funny. I actually got in trouble in high school for writing one
- 12:09of those words on the whiteboard. Oh really, in banned during band.
- 12:13Yeah. The teacher walked out, grabbed a marker and I'll let you decide
- 12:16which word it was. Yeah, it wasn't Tokyo man. I. I
- 12:22can't imagine if you and I would have went to the same school, in
- 12:24the same grade, it would have just been real wild. And I'm sure
- 12:26that all the teachers listening it and now are like, wow, these two
- 12:28goofs and now they're just on a radio program. Am sure? Who let
- 12:33that happen? I get a man in the morning, stage seven, all
- 12:37of it. I know. It doesn't mean you don't have time to get
- 12:39in a nice date or two before the summer's over with your loved one.
- 12:43And if you're thinking, well, we don't really go on dates. We
- 12:46just gotta hang out at home, boring. Here's some ideas for you and
- 12:50actually do some of these. Please. Okay, you're gonna be glad you
- 12:52did. Like, here's a couple ideas. Go to an arcade. Go
- 12:56to an arca. I mean it seems silly, you know, but once
- 12:58your day and you're playing I don't know, ski ball, little basketball game,
- 13:03some stupid arcade game. So we took the kids and again obviously not
- 13:07a date night. I'm not part of it, but hear me out.
- 13:09We went to thunder Road last night for a little bit and we did the
- 13:13go kart. It was so fun. I mean I was cheesing the whole
- 13:16time. Like when you're going around, I know you can't bump into each
- 13:20other, but just like, yeah you can, No you can't. They
- 13:22don't like it, but you can't, No you cannot. Okay, sorry,
- 13:26you know those are the rush rule fall the world. Okay, but
- 13:30it is. It's so much fun. And I really have laser tag and
- 13:33some stuff in there, so that would be that would be just a fun
- 13:35little night. Absolutely laser tag. We played with our nephews a couple times
- 13:39for birthday parties. It is still so fun. Now do you need to
- 13:43be in a probably better shape to do it. Yeah, especially when there's
- 13:46ones with stairs. Yeah, it's tough to keep up with these five year
- 13:50olds, but it's still a great date. Idea. Go to a local
- 13:52sporting event. There's a date idea. Like, I was just googling myself
- 13:56that we were gonna go to a Twins game this weekend. Ended up not,
- 14:00But I wonder if the red Ox are playing. They are, they're
- 14:01in town and tomorrow night they have fireworks. Really Yeah, I was just
- 14:05looking at that because we were talking about bringing the kids. Maybe tonight.
- 14:09Not a date, I don't see. Not a date. How about this
- 14:15step away from the cads, Jesus, get your workout on it the gym.
- 14:20There's a date. Go to the gym and work out. Yeah,
- 14:24yeah, sure, sure it doesn't sound romantic to you. Well we work
- 14:28out at home now, Yeah, you'd probably do different things. Yeah,
- 14:31his workouts are different than mine, for sure. Yeah. We'll go to
- 14:33the gym together too. But she's like just over on the treadmill or whatever,
- 14:37and I'm lifting insane amount of weight. Just deadlifts. Yeah, squat
- 14:43yeah, uh go to a yeah, just absolutely setting records. Yeah you
- 14:50see these callouses? Oh stop it? Yeah, okay, I thought you're
- 14:54gonna say cabs for a second. Well that too. That's probably just because
- 14:58I have short legs. Everything kind of condenses, you know what I mean.
- 15:03I like to tell people it's from doing a bunch of squads. Anyway,
- 15:05another date idea for you, go to a bar trivia night. I've
- 15:09hosted bar trivia nights, very romantic. I have never done trivia nights.
- 15:13No, it's funny, and you don't see them all over Facebook with like
- 15:16different theme nights things like that. But yeah, I've never done that.
- 15:18The nice thing about like the one I did and when I was hosting at
- 15:22Swing Barrel in Morehead, there's like all sorts of categories every week, so
- 15:26it's not just like the office trivia. It's like, even if you do
- 15:28like the office, there's always going to be somebody that knows more, right.
- 15:31So it's when it's just general trivia, there's always a topic for everyone.
- 15:35So like we'll go and oh there might be a sports category. It's
- 15:39like, oh, well, I'll be the guy. I'm the guy.
- 15:41Then there's like a movie one you know, it's like going to Tina Loves
- 15:43movies, you know, or yeah, everybody gets their time to shine,
- 15:48which is really nice. All right, then you gotta have like an actual
- 15:50smart person for the geography history. Do people cheap? It's one of the
- 15:58it's just an unspoken rule. You speak it. Actually it's actually rule number
- 16:02one. No cheating. If you're cheating, if you're cheating at trivia,
- 16:06and I like, that's just pathetic. That just says a lot about you.
- 16:08I just I find myself getting frustrated really easily with things like that.
- 16:12And if I'm like, I know what, I know it, it would
- 16:15be very hard for me. I'd have to leave my phone in the car,
- 16:18yeah, because it would be so tempting to right at my fingers.
- 16:22It's right at my finger tip. Would you feel good? And listen?
- 16:25When I've hosted, people are turning in some scoreesheets that are like perfect scores,
- 16:27and it's just almost impossible to believe that they would know all of those
- 16:32things, right, you know. All right, one more data idea.
- 16:33Okay, really I want you to think about doing this Okay, have fun
- 16:38at a party with mutual friends. See now you're involving other people, which
- 16:45I guess what kind of party under bends? Now, if you have two,
- 16:52if you have if the two of you, you and your your husband
- 16:53or whoever have friends in common, a party can make for a safe and
- 16:56inviting atmosphere. Why do you need a safe environ? This is your spouse,
- 17:02not your ourchenemy. If I have to use a safe word for date
- 17:07night, yeah, okay, honey, I'll go on a date with you.
- 17:10But there needs to be other people around. Okay, we need to
- 17:11meet in a public parking lot. Red Figeler Amanda in the morning on Big
- 17:18seven and now Amanda stills the seat looks. See well, I think we
- 17:23can both agree. This guy is just awesome. If he's not on your
- 17:27list of people you want to meet or have a beer with, you're crazy,
- 17:30I'm saying right here. I know, I apologize. I've been talking
- 17:34about Pike this whole time. No. Ahead of his July twenty sixth release
- 17:37of Deadpool and Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds sat down for an interview and he talked
- 17:41about when the film first was released in twenty sixteen, he used his salary
- 17:45to pay his writers to be on the set with him, which the movie
- 17:49studio refused to do. He also revealed he didn't think Deadpool would be a
- 17:52hit at all. He said, no part of me was thinking this was
- 17:55going to be a success. At its release, Deadpool was the number one
- 17:57movie at the box office during the being weekend with like one hundred and thirty
- 18:00two million dollars. Ended up like grossing over three hundred and sixty three mil.
- 18:06So I guess, uh, yeah, it was pretty successful. It's
- 18:07sort of I have not seen it. I don't even know. Is the
- 18:11guy named Deadpool? Is that what they call him? I'm gonna send you
- 18:15see. I know you're asking the wrong person. You'd think this would be
- 18:18uh stuff. I should know well, giving you the Hollywood scoop, but
- 18:22I do not pay attention. Maybe you and I just sort of brainstorm out
- 18:25loud without any actual information. Do you know? And I'll ask you again,
- 18:30yep? Is this like a comic book character that like? Are you
- 18:33know how there's obviously all the Marvel movies, but they're all based on these
- 18:36comic book characters. Is Deadpool a guy that already had existed? In comics.
- 18:41Yeah, I seen the fifth on this one. I do know that
- 18:47Ryan Reynolds's name is Wade Wilson, so he is not Deadpool, but it's
- 18:51probably like and it doesn't end look like there is uh anybody named Deadpool in
- 18:56this Are you sure? People screaming right now at us or the radio?
- 18:59Are you sure it's not first name dead last name Pool? Uh? Afraid
- 19:04to reunite with Vanessa and his current appearance, Wilson takes on the moniker Deadpool
- 19:10after remembering when his best friend Weasel but his sister Margaret's group Deadpool that he
- 19:15would die and begins hunting for Ajax to force him to fix him. So
- 19:18he's trying to get with a girl and he knows that his normal self isn't
- 19:22going to do it. So it's kind of like the Mask. This feels
- 19:25like a remake of the Mask, Like you got in order to get Cameron
- 19:27Diaz, you got to be them, you got to be that person man.
- 19:33Ozzy Osbourne and well all the Osborne's have a podcast together and yesterday they
- 19:40re auditioned on their thoughts about Britney Spears and just like TikTok in general and
- 19:45dances. Listen, you have to listen close. Yes, I'm surfacing Pearl
- 19:49Britney Spider every Brittany, you know, it's a poor little, very very
- 20:02Would you like me to translate with what Ozzie said beginning, I'm fed up
- 20:06of seeing poor Britney spears on YouTube. Which that's cute. They were.
- 20:11They were very clearly talking about TikTok. But yes, maybe that's where he
- 20:15gets his TikTok contest from YouTube. Yes, but uh. Brittany actually fired
- 20:19back and she had a huge statement, but at the end she basically just
- 20:22said, I'm going to tell the Osbourne family, who's the most boring family
- 20:26known to mankind, to kindly bleepops. Okay, well I can I can
- 20:29respect that, guess, and he doesn't care Osborne spears feud bringing on podcast.
- 20:37I know, and you can't understand him, and I love the cheering.
- 20:42Just like talks over him and tries to like fill in so the viewers
- 20:45can understand what he's saying. Yeah, it's like when you have a young
- 20:48kid that only you understand. Yes, Oh they're asking for another yeah,
- 20:52another helping Yeah. And the Emine nominations were officially announced yesterday show gun blasts
- 20:59at the competition were twenty five nods, followed by the Bear with twenty three
- 21:03nominations. Only murders in the building, That's what one was, Selena Gomez,
- 21:06Right, I believe so that one had twenty one nominations. Paul Rudd,
- 21:11Ryan Gosling, Naomi Watts getting their first ever Emmy nominations. Oh really,
- 21:15yeah, So those are gonna air on Sunday, September fifteenth on ABC.
- 21:18We still don't know who is going to be hosting the Emmys. I'm
- 21:22trying to think former Emmy hosts. Who are Yeah, who normally does that?
- 21:25Is that? The is that Ellen usually? Well she said we'll never
- 21:29see her again, Sonna be her. Let's look at that. One doesn't
- 21:33count that one might nod? Uh? Oh, Amy Poehler, Anthony Anderson,
- 21:37he did that one last year. Oh yeah, that's a guy yeah
- 21:41from Blackish? Yeah? And Scary Movie three? Was he really in Scary
- 21:47Movie three? Only you would remember that? And he was in what was
- 21:51that stupid kangaroo Jack? He was in that. I remember him. I
- 21:56loved way before. Oh much. Right now, we had a full conversation
- 21:59about like something that people should just know about and here you're talking about deep
- 22:03cuts from scary movie and Kangaroo Town Kangaroo Jack. Somebody's listening right now,
- 22:12going, oh yeah, Bike, I know, I know what you're talking
- 22:15about. A minute in the morning on Big Houndy. Hey, if you're
- 22:22a parent, anybody here a parent, raise your end? I'm a parent.
- 22:26Oh great, okay, perfect. Well these are the parenting trends that
- 22:27need to end. People are sharing online and Amanda, I'm sure you do
- 22:30all of them, so do listen up. Kay, all right, Well,
- 22:33I let you know, pretending that not parenting is parenting. Okay,
- 22:37So you know, for example, like, oh, I won't tell my
- 22:40child to stop kicking her leg repeatedly because I don't want to crush his spirit.
- 22:44Yeah, that's definitely not my style. Nope, you're just gonna tell
- 22:47the child to stop. Yeah, we're gonna you're you're gonna stop doing that,
- 22:49like right now. Actually that's appreciated coming from the guy whose seat is
- 22:53generally the one getting kicked on the airline. Now, if it's somebody like
- 22:57you, I know, a piece garbage like you, no, I'm probably
- 23:02encouraging it. No, that's gonna drive me crazy. This is the one.
- 23:03You see a lot parenting as in denying your kid any negative experiences or
- 23:08emotions. You know, like, obviously that's a normal part of being a
- 23:12person is having negative things happen and then dealing with those negative things. So
- 23:18just trying to shield your child from any of that, yeah, no,
- 23:22you have to. You have to go through the whole gamut in order to
- 23:25build character and have those emotions, especially at a young age. I mean
- 23:29it probably hurts, so you know, yeah, well, and it's a
- 23:32it's those big feelings that yes. I mean there are times like Nick and
- 23:36I will go to bed at night and I'm like, ash, you just
- 23:37you feel bad because you didn't want it to go that way or whatever the
- 23:41situation may be, and you're like no, no, like, yeah,
- 23:45tomorrow's a new day and they're they're gonna be just fine. Well, with
- 23:48your daughter Sidney going off to kindergarten, I mean, how do you feel
- 23:52like you're prepared to handle Let's say there's a bully at school and somebody's given
- 23:56her a hard time. How do you see yourself handling that in that situation
- 24:02And we already you know, do our best to have the conversation of you
- 24:06know you might not because she's starting to already get to that point where you
- 24:08know, I don't I don't like that girl, or I don't you know
- 24:11this is it's not somebody I want to be friends with. And she's building
- 24:14her own character already. It's like, you don't have to like somebody,
- 24:17but you need to be nice and you need to be respectful to them,
- 24:19like and I'm not saying you need to go have a sleepover with them,
- 24:22but you also need to to be nice and kind and that's I think the
- 24:26best thing you can do. It's good advice as an adult too. You
- 24:30don't have to have a sleepover with everybody. Okay, how about being the
- 24:38stage mom. This is something called have you heard a stage mom syndrome?
- 24:42Are you kidding me? I used to watch a dance mom. Yeah,
- 24:45this is exactly are talking during pageants? Of course I saw the stage You
- 24:49might know stage moms the ones that are abusing the talents of your child just
- 24:55to boost their self image in society. Are people really looking at if your
- 24:59parents? If your kid is like the best dancer, is that really boosting
- 25:03your status? Do people look at you and go, oh, look at
- 25:06her? That's the that's the mom of little Tina. I don't think so,
- 25:11no, but you feel that way maybe anyway. Yeah. I mean
- 25:14as a parent, I think no matter what level your kid is at or
- 25:18you're just you're proud of them. Yeah, Like it's the littlest things they
- 25:22do and you're like, God, that's that's my boy. Though. But
- 25:23like, I'm just trying to imagine if I had a kid and he was
- 25:26the best wrestler on the team, he was a freak of nature, like
- 25:29state ranked, and I imagine myself walking into the gym and looking at the
- 25:33other parents and just kind of going, oh, yeah, hello, hm,
- 25:37it's me. Yes, that's right, the dad of the good wrestler.
- 25:40I don't know, I can see where it comes from, but I
- 25:42don't do that, would you. I'm trying to put myself in this position
- 25:47of you having a really good wrestler. Yeah, why is that? How
- 25:51excited you would be? I think this is the energy. I see you
- 25:55changing your license plate wrestling dad or something like, you just be so proud
- 26:00wrestling. I'm sure it's taken. It'd be wrestling dad. What true?
- 26:03Yeah? All right, Finally, the parenting trend that just needs to end
- 26:07right now. Is the no talking back so like always yelling at your kid
- 26:12for talking back, you know, because otherwise you got to let the kid
- 26:15be able to explain themselves. And you probably remember this as a kid.
- 26:18It's so frustrating when you're just trying to explain yourself. Oh and the parents
- 26:23who just refuse to believe that they might actually be wrong about something. And
- 26:29it is even more challenging when there is and we deal with this a lot.
- 26:32If there is either. With Briggs, it's like the whining behind it.
- 26:36It's like I can't understand you, Like I get that you're trying to
- 26:37say this, yeah, and that gets really frustrating. But on the other
- 26:41side of things, I have a daughter who she'll be so sassy about it.
- 26:45It's like, do not talk to me like that. Like I get
- 26:47what you're trying to say here, but do not talk to me like that.
- 26:49So there is there's a fine line. But I'm with you. You
- 26:52have to again, you have to let those emotions come out and then deal
- 26:56with it. It's not easy, man, Yeah, well you gotta let
- 26:59them. I can imagine. I can imagine when you're a parent, like
- 27:02having your seven year old try to tell you that you're wrong, it'd be
- 27:06like, no, I don't think so well, and I know I'll be
- 27:10one hundred percent honest. I have. There have been a lot of moments
- 27:14where my daughter will be saying stuff to me and we're having these conversations and
- 27:18I'm like, what are you? Why are you talking to me like this?
- 27:22And where are you getting these words? And then you just think that's
- 27:27me, you are. It's just looking in a mirror, and that's that's
- 27:32when that's when it hits Pika. That's when it really hits and you go,
- 27:36I'm so sorry, mom. I had yes exactly an in the morning
- 27:42on big trending. Now here's what you need to know. Well, in
- 27:48case you missed it. The other day, President Biden was asking an interview
- 27:52whether or not he would back out of the presidential race, and he replied
- 27:56that he would reconsider if some medical condition popped up. We'll believe it or
- 28:00not. Yesterday, Biden had to cancel a speech in Vegas after he tested
- 28:03positive for COVID. White House Press secretary said in a statement that he has
- 28:07vaccinated, he's boosted, he is experiencing mild symptoms. They also said that
- 28:11he was returning to his home in Delaware, where he is going to self
- 28:14isolate and will continue to carry out as duties as president. Sources do say
- 28:18that the president has moved from his stance on Vice President Kamala Harris of Kamala
- 28:22can't win? To do you think Kamala can win? So maybe he's easing
- 28:26up a little bit and uh oh think maybe looking to step down. I
- 28:33still don't believe it. I'd say there's a ninety nine percent chance he doesn't.
- 28:37Yeah, that's just my little tummy instinct. And they always say trust
- 28:41your gut, bike they do. They always say trust your guys. I'm
- 28:45just saying I had to bet. If I had to bet one way or
- 28:48the other, I think the odds are very much in favor of him not.
- 28:51The Downtown Fargo Street Fair has increased security measures this year after the events
- 28:55from last year. I think a lot of us and that we would ever
- 28:59forget about it. But there's been so much going on nationally that the whole
- 29:03alleged plot for the attack that was supposed to happen at the street Fair,
- 29:06Yeah, it was the last thing he searched was downtown Fargo Street fair before.
- 29:10It looks like that's kind of where he was heady. Absolutely, I
- 29:12mean I think there's I mean, you never really know, but all signs
- 29:15pointed to yes. So absolutely that's a good idea. It's definitely chilling to
- 29:19probably be there this year knowing that, but organizers do say that there are
- 29:25more officers, more barricades, and even more drones that are going to be
- 29:27flying around downtown for this year's event. They've doubled their budget for safety to
- 29:32monitor the area. They also say that they've been working with Fargo Police and
- 29:34a private security firm. I guess the fair duest start today. It goes
- 29:38until Saturday, and this is really cool if you're trying to you know,
- 29:41there's a lot of construction this time of year. Link fm, if you
- 29:45go to that website, they're offering free rides to the street Fair. So
- 29:47you can park in certain areas and they'll bring you downtown. They'll go to
- 29:49link fm dot com those details. Last year, I did it, so
- 29:52it's really easy. Real slick. And Patrick Mahomes he is gearing up for
- 29:59training camp and he says he's bringing a TV. You're probably thinking, why
- 30:03is he bringing a TV? My first year, I'm bringing a TV.
- 30:04So I haven't brought a TV ever before, but int double A came out
- 30:07and I'm gonna have to turn it on. So I brought a TV for
- 30:11Inch Double A and the Olympics. So that's my first year of doing that.
- 30:15But I have a phone. Oh I guess he can't play a video
- 30:18game on your phone. Yeah, but I mean with the Olympics and everything,
- 30:21that's pretty cool. Yeah. I mean, when you're Patrick Mahomes,
- 30:22you probably just get to do whatever. I'm sure not every guy in the
- 30:26roster could wheel in a big TV to the locker room. Well, I
- 30:30was thinking at training camp, don't they have like the big TVs. Can't
- 30:33they just put it on there? You would think, So, I mean
- 30:36at this point, you don't need to have your own. Just being silly.
- 30:38I don't know. He's wearing big sunglasses in the and every time I
- 30:42don't care, I follow him on social media, his wife everything. Congrats
- 30:48are having baby number three. He did, by the way, in the
- 30:49same interview say yeah, that's it. So I don't know if it was
- 30:52like they were planning to have baby number three or not, but he said
- 30:56after baby number three were calling her quits. I'm exciting, but his voice,
- 31:00it still just makes me giggle every time. It's still shocking to me,
- 31:03I know. I mean, let's listen to that clip again just to
- 31:07see what we're talking about. I see these strange creatures every time I say
- 31:11the word phenomena. Oh stop it. It was in the exact clip,
- 31:15but it was a different thing. Yeah, same guy, same guy,
- 31:19Patrick Mahomes the quarterback. Ever. All right, it is going to be
- 31:23another great day today. Sunshine high of eighty one yesterday, perfect, perfect
- 31:27for your golf game, right bike. Not glad he brought it up,
- 31:30because obviously I told you before this it didn't go well. I know yesterday
- 31:34there's a lot of hype of what a day. I've been playing well,
- 31:38scoring for the year. No, it was a great night until the last
- 31:42hole, until the last green. Really, everything was fine up until that
- 31:45moment, and it went pathetically three putted to tie the match. But ties
- 31:51are as good as a loss. Did you throw your is your putter still
- 31:55on the eighteenth green? By chance? Over I pulled it up? Did
- 31:57I? Yeah? Did I do a putter toss? Embarrassing? Did I
- 32:01turn around and throw my ball five hundred yards into the pond on the eighteenth
- 32:07of Roast Creek. Yeah, but that ball was no good. It wasn't
- 32:09working, and so that's where that's where it belongs. Well, I just
- 32:13want you to know that today is a new day. Yeah, I suppose
- 32:17doesn't take back the pathetic performance on the last screen last night, but that's
- 32:22fine, all right. Well, today is going to beautiful sunshine high of
- 32:24eighty one.
