- 0:00Nicholas Cage as a vandal would be good.
- 0:02Like one of the vandal bad guys. It'd be so campy and awful.
- 0:08But. Scary.
- 0:09And I got teeth. I Nicola, I would hate Nicholas
- 0:14Cage as a vandal. I could see him as a Banu.
- 0:16OK, actually, yes, unironically yes.
- 0:20Him as a him as a Banu, yeah. All right, make him an Arab
- 0:24dealer. Call him the the the Lord of
- 0:27War. The Lord of Moore.
- 0:29The Lord of Moore. Trademark.
- 0:33Right now, he's what Mccullough's like main
- 0:36competitor the. Lord of Moore.
- 0:43The thing is though, now that you say that, I can't see it.
- 0:45You're absolutely right, but. They were claiming let's let's
- 0:47talk about that first. Because I was going to go in a
- 0:49totally. Different direction.
- 0:50You can make as much money as you need and work your way
- 0:53towards any ship in the game. They they were trying to cash in
- 0:58off of that nostalgia and that hype.
- 1:02Opencoms Radio, your Star Citizen call in show We are live
- 1:09tonight. I'm Jar Jar Jabroni coming to
- 1:14you live from the verse. And these last couple of weeks,
- 1:21you may have noticed that my Co host Tav hasn't been with us.
- 1:26He's not for a foreseeable or unforeseeable amount of time.
- 1:30And I figured tonight was the night that I confessed and let
- 1:35everyone a little a little an explanation.
- 1:38I owe you an explanation. Here it is.
- 1:42My Co host tab is in a baking competition.
- 1:48That's right, a televised baking competition.
- 1:50Now I've said too much I don't want.
- 1:53I can't, I can't be too specific because I can't tell you what
- 1:57show it is, but let's just say the network is litigious, OK?
- 2:04But we're going to see how TAV does.
- 2:07I heard he's doing something with Peaches.
- 2:13I don't know if, I don't know if that's this week.
- 2:15I don't know if that's his his plan for the final, but while
- 2:21tabs out at the bacon challenge, I have a very, very, very, very
- 2:24special Co host today coming to you live with the know how, the
- 2:31maps, the cartography, the how to the whodunit.
- 2:36Broccoli Rob. Broccoli Rob.
- 2:37Thank you for Co hosting with me today.
- 2:41Absolutely. Thank you for having me.
- 2:43That's really exciting. I didn't know that about TAB.
- 2:46Oh yeah? Well, he's a real master Baker.
- 2:50Yeah, it sounds like it good enough to be on TV or streaming.
- 2:55I don't know which which one it's going to be, but it's
- 2:57exciting nonetheless. We'd, we'd like to.
- 3:01I'm not giving too much away. I don't, I don't want to, I
- 3:04don't want to get shut down here because these the, I mean, the
- 3:08people who run this, this thing, these producers, this, this
- 3:11who's paying the piper here? Real, real sobs.
- 3:18Oh, I've heard they're, they're, they're great.
- 3:20I've heard they're amazing. They're delightful people,
- 3:22Right? Is that what you meant to say?
- 3:25Yeah, Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:28Generous, kind, great sense of humor.
- 3:34Understanding. Understanding and and and we
- 3:38wish to have all the best. Absolutely.
- 3:42Well hopefully he's gone for longer.
- 3:44I was a little worried, but hopefully he gets to the end or
- 3:49the finals or whatever. I see, I see, I see, I see your
- 3:52logic. I see what you did there.
- 3:53I see. All right, got you, got you.
- 3:57Well, we're happy to have to have back as soon as he can, as
- 4:01as soon as he's going to come back here.
- 4:04But in the meantime, we have some Star Citizen to play my
- 4:07friend. Yes, we have some Star Citizen
- 4:11to talk about this week. As as Co host, you've been given
- 4:15the task and the duty to choose. This week's question Do you
- 4:23remember what you chose? I do, I do.
- 4:26It was what makes multi crew worth it.
- 4:32What makes multi crew worth it? Or what will make multi crew
- 4:36worth it? Because right now nothing makes
- 4:39multi crew worth it. Well.
- 4:43I enjoy getting in the Turk and I enjoy blasting, you know?
- 4:48Oh for sure, I do too. It's a lot of fun, especially in
- 4:51the Idris kick back. And shoot some size too big, too
- 4:55big. I mean, it's cool, greenery,
- 4:57interest, but I like being in like the hurricane or something.
- 5:00It's just a pile of me. Yeah, that is fun.
- 5:03I do feel like that's one of the exceptions to it where a gutter
- 5:10in the hurricane strengthens it, but I feel like most times
- 5:15you'll want two different ships instead of two people and one.
- 5:22Ship like the Hurricane's punching up a little bit.
- 5:25Yeah, you know, a little bit of yeah, above its waistband, but I
- 5:28guess it's a two person ship, so maybe not.
- 5:31I mean, I have a special heart place in my heart, special
- 5:33heart, special place in my heart for the Hurricane, because it
- 5:35was like the first ship that that I flew in the game.
- 5:39I flew with some guy I don't even know who, what his name
- 5:41was. He's on my friend list still.
- 5:43I I should reach out to him. He was like, oh come in my ship
- 5:47and it was 3.14 and it was Zeno threat and it was the frame
- 5:53rates were low. Yeah.
- 5:58Frame rates were very low. Yeah, I remember.
- 6:01Was that the first first iteration of Zeno Threat?
- 6:05Yeah, I got in like, I don't know, it must have been like day
- 6:08of the patch or something. I didn't get in with a free fly.
- 6:11I just kind of bought it I think.
- 6:14Nice spotted out right you just you just knew.
- 6:18Well, you know, it was, it was 2020 or 2021 or whatever.
- 6:23I was buying all kinds of all kinds of irresponsible things
- 6:25back then. Well, we all, a lot of us, had
- 6:28time on our ends. So what do you think man?
- 6:32What will make multi crew worth it?
- 6:36All right, so I've been kicking around an idea for a little bit.
- 6:39I don't think it's the whole idea or it's the whole thing,
- 6:45but we need a way to like we both own Zeus's, right?
- 6:49Like we want to have people in those copilot seats.
- 6:53Yeah, there's three seats in in a Zeus.
- 6:57Yeah, and one of them's the turret.
- 7:00And one of them doesn't do anything.
- 7:02One of them doesn't do much. So without, I think, I mean,
- 7:11it'll come with armor, it'll come with components needing to
- 7:15be worked on. I think a major driving force
- 7:21that'll help is just really golfing turrets.
- 7:27I think making yeah, making turrets like deadly and worth
- 7:34getting into because right now it's it's hard to do much
- 7:40because you're constantly out of line of sight.
- 7:42They move pretty slow, but if they're fast moving, if they're
- 7:48excuse me if they're scary you. Don't think the you don't think
- 7:52the turrets are fast enough. You can change your your limiter
- 7:55there, your speed limiter and your turrets, you know.
- 7:58Yeah. But even then, or even just
- 8:00limited, they're, they're limited, they're not really
- 8:06doing much, you know what I mean?
- 8:10Yeah, I mean, I think the Hurricane, I think you're you're
- 8:13doing good damage that I don't know what they are on the
- 8:16Hurricane. I must shoot in size fours.
- 8:19I think I have 5 guns in the Hurricane turret it feels or 4
- 8:23guns. It feels that way.
- 8:27It feels like I have like 4 repeaters in that.
- 8:28I don't know. I have a clip I I didn't find in
- 8:31this clip unfortunately. But yeah, the go ahead, sorry.
- 8:36No. And then the obviously the
- 8:38Polaris and shit, those hit hard as hell.
- 8:41Yeah, and I do. I like the Polaris not being
- 8:45able to, the pilot not being able to fire, fire the torpedo,
- 8:49because that makes you rely on somebody else.
- 8:55Someone else has to be in the ship, so you can't.
- 8:59The Polaris basically you can get from point A to point B and
- 9:02nothing else. So I think relying on multi
- 9:08cruise ships to have multiple or to have crew is vital.
- 9:14I don't know what the answer is to a Hammerhead versus 8 Gladii,
- 9:23you know what I mean? Gladius is.
- 9:27Gladi Gladius. Gladius.
- 9:32Gladius, there you go. Gladios.
- 9:35Let's settle on Gladios. OK.
- 9:39I mean, I think it's Latin. So I think the the the plural
- 9:44will be gladii. All right, college boy.
- 9:49Well, there's got there's got to be more to multi crew than just
- 9:53turrets. Absolutely got to be a little
- 9:55bit more to your question than this.
- 9:56So I think now would be an appropriate time to pull up our
- 9:59first guest. Yeah, this guy wanders from
- 10:05corner to corner. You know him.
- 10:07He was our first guest Co host here on Open Coms Radio.
- 10:13Cosmic Hobo. How you doing?
- 10:14Hey. Howdy, I'm doing all right.
- 10:18Howdy there, Sir. Brock and Rob has a question for
- 10:21you. Shoot.
- 10:25Yeah, what will make Multi Crew worth it?
- 10:30I liked your answer about turrets, but I think that's only
- 10:34one part of the puzzle. I'm thinking engineering is the
- 10:37bigger one. And that will make you're going
- 10:42to need crew for like an interest or Polaris.
- 10:45And it's not just going to be the weapons to to to man the
- 10:49weapons of which that's in a very, very important part,
- 10:52especially in a game of combat and so important.
- 10:55But you have to remember you're going to probably get shot at
- 10:57too. And if you want to keep going,
- 11:00you need your well, you need your Chewbacca to run around and
- 11:03fix things. I was was hoping for that.
- 11:11So yeah, engineering, I think engineering would make come
- 11:15again with turrets for the offensive and defensive power,
- 11:18but also just you need people to help your ship stay alive.
- 11:23And a lot of the single proprietors, so to speak, are
- 11:27going to be able to do that. Maybe on some of the smaller
- 11:31ships, but the bigger ones, no, it's not.
- 11:36It's not going to cut it. It's you're not going to be able
- 11:39to, to run from the pilot's seat to a gunner's seat to a power
- 11:46cord to fix it or whatever, to the components to fix them, that
- 11:49sort of stuff. You need people for that.
- 11:54Yeah, I guess my like a follow up to that is what makes having
- 12:02four people in a Connie better than 4 Gladi Gladius.
- 12:08It's four light fighters. Gladius, Zeus.
- 12:11Gladius. Gladiads.
- 12:14I would say it's survivability. It's sort of a extension of my
- 12:20last point in that with a multi cruise ship, when things break
- 12:25you can fix them. That's engineering.
- 12:29But again, you need people to do that, especially if you want to
- 12:31survive a fight. If you're in a fighter, you
- 12:34don't really have your R2D2 to fix things for you in the middle
- 12:38of a battle. You might be able to escape and
- 12:42then stop and get out and take out your multi tool and fix some
- 12:46do some patchwork job but for long term survivability you're
- 12:52going to need crew. They really dropped the ball on
- 12:57that one, huh? Yeah, the spaceship robot in
- 13:01your starfighter, it was. That would have been too.
- 13:03That would have been too close, too close to home.
- 13:05You say that, but back in the original, like olden days, here
- 13:10we go, you had the AMX repair bot.
- 13:13I think it. Was no, no, no, hold on, hold
- 13:15on. Don't say olden days say.
- 13:16It 2012. The the original what?
- 13:21The the Kickstarter, there you go.
- 13:24But it wasn't, it wasn't technically with the kicks.
- 13:26It was one of the stretch balls, I think, or it was one of the
- 13:30things you got like in that. Early in the.
- 13:34Early days where the the the millions mattered.
- 13:40But there was the AMX like repair bot.
- 13:44What that is, what it would do, nobody knows, but it is one of
- 13:49those original kind of Kickstarter age things that's.
- 13:55Has that has that been signed off on?
- 13:56That's official. They have, so they.
- 13:59Yeah, it's. They have to fulfill that.
- 14:02Yeah, it's, it's, it's, it was the I'm looking back in my
- 14:11hangar at this very moment. It's.
- 14:16Just like a like a bot that's like kind of latched onto your
- 14:19ship and the robot repairs as needed.
- 14:23I don't know, like I'm going to I'm going to look back.
- 14:26It's it was a there it was yeah, all right, it was the original
- 14:30and veteran backers reward that included the AMX Dash 1 repair
- 14:36bot and then like a record breaker skin and Squatron 42
- 14:41disc but. That's all.
- 14:43That's all it says about it. AMX dash 1.
- 14:45I mean, I can pull up. It's got to be a drone.
- 14:49It's got to be a drone. Yeah, no, I'm looking at it
- 14:51right now for the the tools page and nothing else has ever said
- 14:54about it. It was just the AMX repair bot.
- 15:00Is a repair. Drone manufactured by Saga Data
- 15:03Systems and that's it. OK.
- 15:08Saga, Saga. Put on the.
- 15:12Put it on the list. Yeah, put it on the very, very
- 15:16bottom of the list. Well, they remember.
- 15:17The delivered promise. They remembered the battle
- 15:19cruiser, which, I mean, of course they would.
- 15:21They can sell that. Oh, yeah.
- 15:24But that that was like, there's still a fair number of things
- 15:30from back then that are just kind of like, is that still
- 15:33going to happen? Like the special exclusive
- 15:37system for backers only, early backers only, where you were
- 15:42going to have an entire like star system that only the like
- 15:47original backers would have access to you could share.
- 15:50This coordinates. Eventually, but like every just
- 15:53only the original backers would have the coordinates for that
- 15:57we. Could do that.
- 15:58It's like a chairman's living. Space.
- 15:59Yeah, really it is. And it, it should be, and I'm
- 16:03saying should be fairly simple to implement once we start
- 16:07scaling up systems like there. There's no promise of it having
- 16:11anything in the system of value. It could just have a single
- 16:15fancy station that is, yeah, just the chairman's club.
- 16:18It's to stay stationed around a pretty star or something.
- 16:22And that's it. That's the only thing there
- 16:24that. Sure, I'll take it.
- 16:26Like give us something for that. And then there's like just other
- 16:31random things that I'm like a lot of the, I remember this one
- 16:36being a a stretch goal is the command and control systems on
- 16:41certain ships where you'll be able to have kind of almost RTS
- 16:46overview of the battle space that you can command ships and
- 16:50give orders to. 00 and it would like ping me if I'm flying my
- 16:55ship, it would ping me see there you got that's some multi cruise
- 16:59ship right there Brock, you have that in one of those bigger
- 17:02ships. The guy command in the fleet.
- 17:04That's another role. Is that what those those maps
- 17:06are for? That is, I I believe that is one
- 17:08of the intended roles of those maps.
- 17:12Yeah, but how's that game, that game plays?
- 17:14How's that going to work even because the the the the combat
- 17:18as it is now isn't really set up for that kind of like.
- 17:20I can only imagine it works. It would it, I'm spitballing
- 17:25here, but I would imagine it would work a lot like Eve in the
- 17:30sense that you, you the commander will, will say,
- 17:33there's this, this role of commander for the battle of
- 17:36space. And he has all of the sensors
- 17:40from all the ships kind of networked into him.
- 17:43Certain ships, of course, would have better radars and whatnot
- 17:46than others, but all that data is just connected to this one
- 17:52flagship. And so he sees the positions of
- 17:56enemy ships and can, well, we can already pin targets.
- 18:00I have never done that. I know it exists, but you can
- 18:03pin targets as the pilot of the ship and gunner's apparently get
- 18:08that information. But this would be that on a
- 18:10larger scale where you pin a target ship and I don't know we
- 18:14we need to use the EVE language. It's you primary, that's your
- 18:17primary. I guess your primary target is.
- 18:20Right, right, right. So then you can just have your
- 18:23fighters focus on and just something like that could
- 18:26fulfill that stretch goal. I don't know when, if ever,
- 18:31we're ever going to see that or if they even remember that
- 18:33because there's sometimes CIG is selective on what they remember
- 18:38and then sometimes they remember everything.
- 18:40It's very weird, like. No, they're, they're gonna get
- 18:43there. They're gonna remember
- 18:44everything that they're trust me man, they're gonna they it's all
- 18:47written down so they can't forget.
- 18:49Yeah, OK. Yeah.
- 18:51True, but maybe maybe we forgot what was the question.
- 18:56What will make multi crew worth? It like something like that
- 19:00where you have. Something OK, OK, OK.
- 19:03No, we're gonna we're gonna leave it there and we're gonna
- 19:05bring in our next guest. OK Brock, Brock to rob cosmic
- 19:13home. But you guys can scooch down the
- 19:14couch there where you're you're happy to stay and and and chill
- 19:18move down the couch and we're gonna bring up our our next
- 19:21guest. Our next guest.
- 19:23You know I'm be love him. He's got a sweet, sultry voice.
- 19:26Lord Anubis, welcome to open Comms Radio.
- 19:33Lord Anubis is muted. Hi, how are you?
- 19:37Hey there, buddy. Hi.
- 19:40Hi. Oh, you sound, you sound.
- 19:43You sound young for Lord Anubis. No, no, I'm you, said sweet
- 19:48sultry voice. So I thought I.
- 19:50Was going to change your voice. Yeah, I want.
- 19:52I wanted to sound sexier. I hope it worked.
- 19:56You did. Just Rocky.
- 19:57Rob, you sound sexy. Can you ask Lord Anubis what
- 20:00what? What we're doing here.
- 20:02Yeah, absolutely, Lord Anubis, what will make multi crew worth
- 20:05it? Relevance.
- 20:10So it's not just engineering. Not just engineering.
- 20:15Yeah, you could. You could be O'Brien.
- 20:17You can run around, you can fix everything, you can swear you
- 20:19could do all your things and you could be ROM and you can go fix
- 20:23other things too. Cool, But you also need a
- 20:29medical a reason for a medical crew.
- 20:33So like, let's say you're you know, you die and you need to
- 20:41get region. That shouldn't be an automatic
- 20:43process. There should be a medical crew
- 20:45standing by repairing the crap that is going to be like needing
- 20:49to be repaired on your imprint and then initiating the region,
- 20:56things like that. I think that they're.
- 21:00Like for the player? That would look like they better
- 21:03hope they got a good fast medical crew so they'd be back
- 21:06in the fight quick. You know, maybe even possibly
- 21:11have, you know, OK, well I didn't set my imprint right
- 21:15here, but you know, my medical crew can intercept the one that
- 21:18was going to go to Seraphim, which will be automatic.
- 21:21What do you mean intercept it? How does that?
- 21:24What does that look like? What are you talking about here?
- 21:26Well, when, as we know, as a human dies, their digital soul
- 21:31gets uploaded to space computer heaven and and and then it gets
- 21:37reincarnated through space reincarnation to the resin
- 21:46printer on a on a on a space station.
- 21:49You know that that's so that then you get printed out and
- 21:53then and then they you run the cure light on you and you wake
- 21:56up. How do I how does 1 intercept
- 21:58that transmission? Well, I would I would assume you
- 22:02know they would look at it in the computer in the in like the
- 22:07the sole Internet or whatever. You know your stole Slinger?
- 22:11The stole net, yes. Oh, there it is, and we cracked
- 22:17it. And, and they can access like,
- 22:20hey, where were you going? Well, I was supposed to regen a
- 22:22Seraphim and they can go access Seraphim and call that thing
- 22:25over to their ship. And as long as you're in the
- 22:28same team, you know, you don't want, you don't want to be able
- 22:30to do that to anybody, but OK. Yeah, well, I'm calling it over
- 22:33here. You're going to reach in over
- 22:34here now, you know, like give it relevance to actually do medical
- 22:40stuff. If you're not actively healing
- 22:42things because you could just resin print a body.
- 22:45Well, at least your medical staff can like actually initiate
- 22:48all the, you know, make the buttons go.
- 22:49Now you know, you have your engineering.
- 22:54We already have things for for salvaging.
- 22:56We already have things for mining.
- 22:58They all have roles. But but yeah, medical
- 23:03engineering turrets. Honestly, if the ship is flying,
- 23:09flipping around and doing all sorts of crazy things, turrets
- 23:12are really hard to work with. So I, I, I think that it's, it's
- 23:17really the last component that is relevant on the ship other
- 23:20than the actual crew roles that you can have.
- 23:25Now, has everyone here just kind of given up on engineering?
- 23:29No. No, nobody's really mentioned
- 23:33engineering in this multi crew discussion.
- 23:35Yet I I just did. Yeah.
- 23:39Yeah, I, I I did too. We all did except broccoli Rob.
- 23:47What you know, leave a little bit for for everybody.
- 23:50Well, you. Already know it's a thing that's
- 23:52going to happen soon. Yeah, but I, I don't, I, I'm
- 23:59sorry, I'm confused. Welcome to Open Comms Radio.
- 24:05Welcome. You know, we've got our.
- 24:07Guest here, our guest Jar jar Hi jar jar, how are you today?
- 24:11What about new systems that could be implemented on these
- 24:15ships? I'd love to see new systems
- 24:18actually put on ships. Especially I'd love to see some
- 24:20kind of engineering game play. Whoa, interesting.
- 24:23OK all. Right.
- 24:24Go on, go on about that. I want to hear more about that.
- 24:26In here, I think that was more yeah, I think I wasn't brought
- 24:29it up yet. So yeah, I'd, I, I'd like to see
- 24:33like you flip switches and stuff and like the Shields can go
- 24:37higher and you can like that divert power to, to other
- 24:41things. But then also I'd like to
- 24:44intercept communications when people die.
- 24:49Oh, I like to intercept their souls.
- 24:51Going back. Oh, really?
- 24:53Yeah. Is that engineering?
- 24:56That sounds almost like medical. That's like hacking Hacking.
- 25:02Hacking. Hacking.
- 25:03Because that's not medical gameplay.
- 25:05That's like hacking. We're talking hacking.
- 25:10Hacking. I, I think, I think it's more
- 25:13like when you use the app on your phone, you go, oh crap, I
- 25:16sent this print to this printer. Let me just go ahead and send it
- 25:19over to this printer. You know, you can resend emails
- 25:22now. Isn't that amazing what time we
- 25:25live in? They have that.
- 25:26Yeah, you can. You can.
- 25:28Yeah, like counts down in Gmail, Yeah.
- 25:30Post office better watch out. They're going to be out of
- 25:32money, remember? Back when you like apply all,
- 25:35like to a billion people. When you're in the Air Force,
- 25:38that's happening all the time. Then you you can just resend
- 25:42that. I I resend you can take it back.
- 25:47Yes, resend as in not send as in take back.
- 25:51Yes, cancel. Next, you're going to say the
- 25:56Air Force uses PowerPoint as well.
- 26:00When did they do this? I don't know when they
- 26:03implemented. A few years ago, maybe.
- 26:04But yeah. When they stopped using Ms.
- 26:06Paint. Will you tell me for a few years
- 26:08now I could have taken back emails?
- 26:10At least on Gmail, yeah. Depending on how fast you were.
- 26:15Yeah. And yeah, it's not a big button
- 26:18either. You've got to kind of kind of
- 26:20like catch it. And what's what's usually?
- 26:23From here 5 seconds it's. Not very long.
- 26:29Oh, that's that. Hardly.
- 26:30That's hardly a thing. It's normally a feature, an
- 26:33interoffice e-mail. So if you like you work for a
- 26:36big corporation, you could usually take back your e-mail.
- 26:41I mean, the server will save a copy of it.
- 26:43The IT guy will know what you sent, will know all your secrets
- 26:48and knows everything about you. And, and he's, he's also
- 26:55watching you right now. But you know, you can usually
- 27:00take back the e-mail. So, you know, Kathy and the
- 27:02accounting doesn't get that e-mail.
- 27:06What do you we'll? Never know.
- 27:08Never mind, I'm not going to ask.
- 27:09I was going to ask you what you're saying to Kathy, But
- 27:12that's, that's not, that's not for our audience.
- 27:16They didn't, they didn't tune in for that Kathy.
- 27:19They they tuned in for you to clarify what you meant by what
- 27:22part of your answer was engineering gameplay, Because
- 27:25honestly I'm lost. I mentioned in the beginning,
- 27:29yes, engineering is cool. You could be O'Brien.
- 27:32You can run around and fix things.
- 27:33And all that. Yeah, OK.
- 27:35I see. Gotcha and cosmic, you know,
- 27:38also mentioned it said it's it's interesting, you know, but and
- 27:43then there's other reasons. And then also, you know,
- 27:46broccoli was also talking about engineering as well.
- 27:51Do you have engineering blindness?
- 27:54I thought. I just.
- 27:56Is that like bird blindness? I thought when Brock and Rob
- 27:59sent this question, that was going to dominate our
- 28:01conversation. And I'm just, you guys are
- 28:04bringing up all these other things like intercepting souls
- 28:06and, and, and guns and stuff. Because it's all connected.
- 28:09Yeah, well, we already know engineering's going to happen
- 28:14soon. Do we TTM?
- 28:19TM. I mean, yes, there was a very,
- 28:23very calm and quiet Dev actually two of them talking about it.
- 28:31They were both competing as to who can not be heard on the mic.
- 28:36And you know, they've they've, you know, people have talked
- 28:40about it quite at length. And so it's like, OK, well, we
- 28:43already know what to expect with that.
- 28:45It doesn't really change the feel.
- 28:48I mean, it allows you to repair things, but it doesn't really
- 28:52change the fear that that, you know, the feel of the full multi
- 28:55crew experience on its own. I think that's why people are
- 28:58not focusing on it. It is part of maintaining your
- 29:03ship and that is that's it. Like it's, it's just adding more
- 29:08to do to keep the longevity of your ship.
- 29:13But as far as like new gameplay goes, that's more the things
- 29:16like Anubis mentioned. Sorry Lord Anubis, apologies.
- 29:23Thank you. Got to keep the title.
- 29:26And things like medical medical need doctors, well it should
- 29:29have doctors, Turrets need guns or Gunners and other gameplay
- 29:35like hacking would need a dedicated hacker.
- 29:40Things like that make multi and we've already seen in salvage
- 29:46you need multi crew. That gameplay was pretty much
- 29:48inherently designed as a multi crew thing, at least with their
- 29:53reclaimer and until we get more medium sized salvagers.
- 29:57But yeah, it it that there's multi crew in mind for multiple
- 30:03things to do on a ship instead of just yeah, done.
- 30:08So broccoli. Yeah, broccoli has something you
- 30:10want to say I. Was going to say more focused
- 30:15directly on combat. I think something we're
- 30:18overlooking is what like team versus team based combat looks
- 30:24like. And I think that like counter
- 30:27Strike or Overwatch where there's a shot caller, there's
- 30:30someone that can sort of see the whole situation when you know,
- 30:36say you're in a a Connie and the other light fighters are, you
- 30:42know, stand outside of everyone's range, whether it's
- 30:46the pilot guns or the turret guns.
- 30:48The copilot could be someone that is able to monitor.
- 30:53I don't know if it's just them sitting in the seat and seeing
- 30:56where people are, but some way to call out where the ships are
- 31:00coming from and when the bottom turret will have a good firing
- 31:05solution on the X ship or when the pilot's going to have a good
- 31:09firing solution on, you know, the Y ship.
- 31:11And. What?
- 31:14What game or did you mention that that does this?
- 31:17Counter striking, Overwatch were just the two first two.
- 31:20Overwatch. Battlefield does it 2.
- 31:24Yeah, like competitive specifically like watching and
- 31:27listening to the, the cons of like the the tournaments,
- 31:33everyone has a, an end game leader, like Counter Strike
- 31:37calls an end game leader IGL. And there's someone that kind of
- 31:42sees, has a very sort of bird's eye view of the situation and
- 31:47can make calls based on what's needed at the time.
- 31:53And I would like to see some way to get that into the game other
- 31:58than like chasing pips while holding down Z.
- 32:03Yeah. And that's sort of where I think
- 32:05like that command and control stuff comes in.
- 32:07But that is on a macro level. We do kind of need something on
- 32:10a smaller micro level that because not everyone's going to
- 32:15have a freaking Carrick for 400A high ships with those.
- 32:21Tables hull breaching is supposed to be something that
- 32:25eventually, soon, yeah, we should be getting.
- 32:29And I, I think that's another thing.
- 32:33I mean, you'd need to have ship security, you know, because if
- 32:37you are on that character, if you're on an interest, if you're
- 32:41on an interest and they're trying to breach your hull, you
- 32:43know, and they've got, they've got a crew of like whoever, you
- 32:47know, munching over on, on some sort of like weird drill ship
- 32:52thingy. Like, you're going to want
- 32:54people to be ready for that. Yeah, we're.
- 32:57Going to need adds more dimensions.
- 32:59You know, it adds like a reason to do these things.
- 33:04But then again, the ultimate reason is give people a reason
- 33:08to be in those large ships. Make them relevant for a reason,
- 33:13you know, implement trade in different ways.
- 33:18There there. There needs to be a reason why
- 33:20people are in huge ass ships other than running around F
- 33:23sevens all the time, because right now you can do everything
- 33:26running around in F sevens mostly except for cargo.
- 33:31But huge ass ships are not invincible, but quite
- 33:36invincible. They're, you know, they're
- 33:38tankier. So it's it's safer to fly around
- 33:41in a in a Freelancer? If he if he could board an
- 33:46Idris, if you blast that door open, you get on that thing,
- 33:49it's pretty much done deal. You're going to be taken out
- 33:51whoever is on there, like you'll just see it shut down.
- 33:56And I think that that's. Wouldn't they have to like?
- 33:58Dynamic. They'd have to shut your ship
- 34:00down or disable it first. You can.
- 34:04You can do that pretty easy like like you can.
- 34:06You can get on there and pull a couple fuses and disable the
- 34:09entire ship. Well, you got to, yeah, but how
- 34:10do you get on there? Yeah, you got to get on there
- 34:12first, which right now we don't have to counter play for.
- 34:15Like it doesn't for like a Polaris or an interest.
- 34:18Well, an interest, I mean, you blast the doors open and you
- 34:21could eventually do that. If they haven't jumped away.
- 34:23They're hanging in like a trooper, which we've seen a
- 34:26couple times, which is always fun, but like, yeah, you, you,
- 34:31you, you breach, you breach them.
- 34:34Which you need distortion for. The only thing we have right now
- 34:37is distortion that can do that. It's like we don't, we don't
- 34:41have enough ways to disable. Every way we have is destroy.
- 34:47Which like I don't want to just destroy every ship I come
- 34:52across. An Aries have a big distortion
- 34:55cannon on it. That would be.
- 34:59The Aries dis. So.
- 35:03I. I do want to ask, I guess we're
- 35:06I guess. I name it the Willis.
- 35:08That's what I was talking about. But also, Lauren, and as you
- 35:10mentioned that you you want people to need a reason to be on
- 35:16a ship or want a reason, I also think that the pilot should want
- 35:22a reason to have people on the ship.
- 35:25I just, I've had this idea kicking around for a little bit
- 35:28and I don't know if it's good or not.
- 35:31I know it's probably going to be divisive, but how does nerfing
- 35:38pilot weapons like just making the capacitor smaller and giving
- 35:43a lot more power to turrets on multi crew ships?
- 35:47How does that does that sound crazy?
- 35:50Does that sound insane? Shut your mouth.
- 35:52They already did that. They sort of did that with
- 35:55capacitor buffs, like they started that route, but we
- 35:58didn't see a nerf to to pilot weapons much.
- 36:02I don't I don't think we will like I certainly see buffs to
- 36:08turrets like that's going to happen.
- 36:10We're going to see more buffs to turrets.
- 36:13Just as a way to buff the turrets, yeah, but as a way to
- 36:17get people to stop nosing at every ship battle they're in
- 36:23when they've got extremely strong turrets on the side that
- 36:25can't get a clean shot forward. Sort of like make it demand that
- 36:33multi cruise ships work turrets into the gameplay, otherwise
- 36:38they're dead 15 seconds in because they don't have the guns
- 36:42to intimidate. Yeah, I do think that the the
- 36:47main pilot should be piloting and be focusing on lining up the
- 36:52broadsides rather than trying to, you know, get get their own,
- 36:56get their own shot in. Because when the pilot focuses
- 36:59on getting their own shot in, they're less effective, you
- 37:03know? 100.
- 37:04Percent, you know? I mean, you can't take out
- 37:07swaths of people while you're trying to hit a Corsair the
- 37:09whole time, you know? So yeah, I think that's a good
- 37:13thing. If you got people in your in
- 37:16your turret, then your engineers to allocate that energy over and
- 37:21take it from the pilots area and move it over to these things and
- 37:25move it over to that thing because the pilot doesn't need
- 37:28it. The pilot needs to be a pilot,
- 37:31not a fighter pilot. When they're flying an Idris
- 37:33especially. Yeah, I, I think that's a big
- 37:37problem with a lot of like the pilot weapons that everyone
- 37:40wanting big pilot weapons and everyone wanting to blade stuff
- 37:44straightforward and all that. I think it's it causes this
- 37:49problem where people want to be a, you know, a light fighter in,
- 37:55in an interest, you know, or in, I don't know, like some big
- 38:00boat, like a fighter pilot in a star Lancer like that.
- 38:03I just don't work. Yeah, you have to pilot
- 38:06differently. Yeah, and you should be.
- 38:09You should be not focusing on direct combat.
- 38:13You should be focusing on flying, maneuvering, and then
- 38:16also being aware of your surroundings, which you know,
- 38:21you can't do when you're trying to hit someone you know, and,
- 38:27and, and so, yeah, you have your you have your tactical who looks
- 38:31at a screen and says, hey, you know, about 50 kilometers out,
- 38:34I'm getting a ping from something.
- 38:36I don't know what it is the. Pilot can get the ping because
- 38:39you. Pilot should be piloting and the
- 38:42pilot should be made aware of relevant information.
- 38:46Yeah. But what I'm saying is, is the
- 38:48the radar in front of the pilot is going to give them that
- 38:50information better than when relaying it to them, no?
- 38:55Because a pilot can get limited information in front of them,
- 38:58the tactical officer can see what's 50 kilometers out behind
- 39:04them, be able to be able to take a look at that and go, OK, well,
- 39:07that looks like it's a pretty big pig.
- 39:09Let me try to swing the, you know, the sensors over at it and
- 39:14see what it is. You know, they can give actual
- 39:17information and go, hey, you know what, coming up behind this
- 39:19is probably going to be something huge.
- 39:21We should watch out. I won't know until they're
- 39:23within 15 kilometers, but what they actually are.
- 39:26But I'm thinking something's coming.
- 39:28Or it could be a big rock or a station they're seeing or just
- 39:32an MPC, whatever. But yeah, the pilot, the pilot
- 39:36can't make that decision, you know, and look at something and
- 39:39go, I get it. I got to turn around and see
- 39:41what's behind us. You know, when you can have a
- 39:43tactical officer, they're doing that.
- 39:45You know, the pilot needs to be able to line up everything,
- 39:48those broadsides, whatever's going on, and should be able to
- 39:51get directions from the captain. And that works for the bigger
- 39:54ships. I think that will work for the
- 39:55Idris, the Polaris, Javelin, the big ones.
- 39:59Smaller ships I'm not so sure you have a copilot that.
- 40:03Can kind of do. That maybe and a lot of ships,
- 40:07yeah, but I don't know, it depends on what they want to
- 40:11copilot. I I like that idea.
- 40:14I like the idea of having, yeah, copilot or someone else needing
- 40:19to be there to do that because I feel like a lot of us have
- 40:22fallen into this Pilot equals, captain equals can do
- 40:27everything, and everyone else is along for the ride.
- 40:30Yeah. And that doesn't work well with,
- 40:35you know, four other people sitting there waiting for the
- 40:39guy doing everything to decide that it's their turn to play a
- 40:43little bit. So I think like further dividing
- 40:46out responsibilities like like Anubis said, like the the ping,
- 40:52like the pilot shouldn't just automatically be able to see
- 40:56that as well as the copilot. See it?
- 40:59Sure, but understand it maybe not.
- 41:04See, my concern with that is these roles, I think most of the
- 41:07time you're not going to be doing much.
- 41:10So if I'm that scanner person in, obviously there's times when
- 41:14that's seems very crucial, but most of the time you're not
- 41:17going to be doing much. So what, what am I going to be
- 41:19doing when we're just flying around?
- 41:21Maybe I'm looking at my scanner, maybe nothing's popping up.
- 41:25You know what else am I going to be doing if I'm staring at the
- 41:27screen? I should also have access to
- 41:31engineering, should also have access to comms because I think
- 41:35the three person ship if you'd like, if you think of the Zeus
- 41:39pilot, pilots, gunner and then that third person there is do
- 41:45can totally be doing all the other stuff.
- 41:48I think. The pilots doing their power
- 41:50balance, because you're doing that now, there's no reason to
- 41:53take that away from the pilot, that sort of thing.
- 41:57I I think it's a ship by ship thing that they're going to
- 41:59have. I mean, it's not the same system
- 42:01for everything. What what's on what, what's on
- 42:03the what's on a what's on a cruise ship in order to operate
- 42:08it is magnitudes, you know, more to to look out for than what's
- 42:15on a, you know, 40 foot, you know, like fishing trawler.
- 42:21It's, it's not, there's, there's, there's obviously a
- 42:25smaller ship. You're going to be doing more as
- 42:27the pilot, you know, then you would, you know, when you're
- 42:31trying to make sure that you know, 6-6 other people are able
- 42:35to get their shot in and that you can plan your course because
- 42:39you're a big ass thing. You can't turn around real
- 42:41quick, you know? I think it also it comes down to
- 42:49making it more maybe more involved to do each thing.
- 42:54Like sure the pilot could do it themselves, but also when it
- 42:57comes down to copilot being bored, I mean, if you're in
- 43:01quantum travel, everyone's bored.
- 43:03Like once the pilot sets the path and goes, then it's just
- 43:08going, you know, like it really depends on like if you're out
- 43:11scanning for stuff, if you're looking for, you know, minables
- 43:15say, then scanners are very active.
- 43:20Middle of the battle scanner maybe not so much.
- 43:23Maybe they do engineering. I just say it needs to be more
- 43:25involved than like a quick pang and the pilot notice everything.
- 43:33OK, OK, well this is probably a good time for us to take a
- 43:38little break from our sponsor. Our sponsor this week on Open
- 43:42Comms Radio is Rust. Rust gets you real messed up.
- 43:50Enjoy some rust. Sounds great.
- 43:55All right, that's Rust. Yes, OK.
- 43:59Yeah, what were they didn't pay a lot.
- 44:01Yeah, did they look at those bottles?
- 44:03They can't afford to. Can't afford that much, Lord
- 44:08Anubis. Yeah, did.
- 44:11Did they offer a coupon or or a promotion for Rust?
- 44:16No, no, no, they they offered me some rust.
- 44:23Yeah, I. I drank some of it and Oh no,
- 44:27it's like I said, I'll say a thing on the show.
- 44:29I mean, those those cans are like paint thinner bottles, like
- 44:33repurposed paint thinner. I I guess the segways into the
- 44:39other sponsor Kelto. Calto RX is always there for all
- 44:43of your needs, whether you're on a station or whether you're on
- 44:47an outpost. Calto RX has everything you need
- 44:50for your medical issues, including rust treatments.
- 44:57I just don't have a choice. On a rust one anyways so calto
- 45:00RX my veins. Hurt.
- 45:05But it gets you to a Calto RX buddy.
- 45:08Yeah, you might need to be resin printed again.
- 45:13My my resins leaking from the rust.
- 45:20That's not that's not from the rust.
- 45:23You definitely need a new body that's not curable.
- 45:28Kelto RX get a new body today maybe very good.
- 45:34Because regen crisis. Brock and Rob, you're you're Co
- 45:39host. Did you bring in an advertiser?
- 45:42No ad today, unfortunately. You you didn't get the you
- 45:45didn't get the the one pager I sent.
- 45:52No, the Co host the the Co host handbook.
- 45:56It's it's just. One page.
- 45:59Did you resend the e-mail when you sent it?
- 46:01It's one page, but it's laminated.
- 46:05Oh, laminated. Oh, I tried my man on desk.
- 46:07You didn't? No, because.
- 46:10That that's so weird because my my Moby Glass says it was
- 46:14delivered. Are you sure didn't resend it?
- 46:19That's what I'm saying. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 46:25All right, Broccoli, Rob. All right, All right, Well, you
- 46:28don't have an ad for us. You got anything else?
- 46:32No, that's I felt pretty, pretty good about everything I've
- 46:37heard, you know? Exceptional.
- 46:39Medical No AD yeah, I'm I'm just here for a lot of the game.
- 46:43I don't, I don't get, I don't get paid for this.
- 46:46Neither do we but AD. Well, Hobo might get paid.
- 46:50He's been there a long time. I.
- 46:52Don't get paid. I wish.
- 46:56Wow, that's dude. None of the sponsors want to
- 46:59give money to someone called a hobo.
- 47:01Like it's just it's. That's true after everything
- 47:04you've given them. I know, right?
- 47:05I mean, they always go back on their deals.
- 47:09Do you mean you should advertise blankets?
- 47:13Blankets. We don't have a blanket branding
- 47:16game. The big, big blanking guy you.
- 47:20Remember star Cloth? Yeah.
- 47:23Remember the bed? Bugs.
- 47:24Oh yeah. That's that's true.
- 47:25Remember that shit I do? Remember that.
- 47:27Why don't we have a blanket? Branding game star cloth.
- 47:33If I if I were making star cloth, first thing I'd make is a
- 47:36fucking towel. There, there is one, there there
- 47:40is that. That is another old Kickstarter
- 47:42actor. Report.
- 47:46One of the things we wanted to do was to create a new way to
- 47:50physicalize cloth. Oh, is that?
- 47:53Is that Jens? Flores No, no, this is this is
- 47:59Brian. Brian Dev Burros.
- 48:06Brian Deveros, you, you have such a similar accent to Jens
- 48:09Flores. No, no, my mine is.
- 48:12Mine is American and a lot less offensive to.
- 48:16Your you're, you're down there in the, you're in the Austin, TX
- 48:18office, is that right? No, no, no, no.
- 48:22They they made me move to to England.
- 48:25Oh, you're how are you? How are you enjoying the
- 48:27transition? Texas, Austin, TX to Manchester,
- 48:31England's quite stark. Since transitioning in Texas is
- 48:35is probably illegal, it's much easier here.
- 48:38I'm not so sure about that. Yeah, it's.
- 48:45You can't be legal in a lawless country.
- 48:49There that is true, there are there are no laws.
- 48:52The queen, the King have absolute rule and drive like
- 48:58it's GTA5. Have you?
- 49:02It's kind of crazy. Brian, was that your name?
- 49:06Sure. Brian, have you met Chris
- 49:09Roberts? I, I did go to a meeting one
- 49:15time that we did discuss that discuss meeting, but this time,
- 49:23yes, yes, OK. You and was this this was your
- 49:28first time meeting Chris Roberts?
- 49:30No, no, it was a meeting. No, this was the first meeting
- 49:32about discussing. To meet Chris Roberts.
- 49:37It what yes, what, what it would be like if I were to meet Chris
- 49:43Roberts or sorry, attend a meeting with Chris Roberts.
- 49:47That kind of thing. Like never walk in front of him.
- 49:51Avert your gaze. Right.
- 49:55You have to you, you have to move your eyes.
- 50:01It always has to be to the right and down.
- 50:05If you were to move to the left or up, you just fired
- 50:12immediately. We we have to always be a little
- 50:18bit shorter, but don't make it obvious.
- 50:22Shorter than him? How do you get if you're much?
- 50:24He's not a super tall gentleman though.
- 50:27Like he's he's like maybe 661. There's a maybe a fair amount of
- 50:32people who are taller. Than him make it happen.
- 50:34I mean that's that's not really not really his problem to deal
- 50:38with. It's just everybody's problem to
- 50:40make sure that they deal with it.
- 50:44I heard you're not allowed to mention Freddie Prinze Junior in
- 50:48front of him. You, you said it like around me
- 50:55now and already contractually just means that I am fired.
- 51:02Just go play Wing Commander for like the fifth time and they'll
- 51:06hire you again. And now that you.
- 51:10And watch Lord of War. Three things.
- 51:14Why? Why Lord?
- 51:15Of war. He was a producer in that.
- 51:20The brown Brown was his idea. Is that the movie about the
- 51:25weapons dealer? Yeah, with Nicholas Cage.
- 51:27Nicholas Cage, Children of the Corn.
- 51:30Say. The last good Nicholas Cage
- 51:33movie. Hold on.
- 51:37That's. What did what did that come out?
- 51:40And to be true, why are we looking at?
- 51:43This. I need to make a correction,
- 51:45everybody. I need to make a correction.
- 51:46I'd say Chris Roberts was probably 6/1 or 6/2.
- 51:49He's 5 foot 8 inches. What is the same height?
- 51:52Again, not his problem to deal with.
- 51:55It's everybody else's problem to deal with.
- 51:59You got it. You got a He's shorter than
- 52:02most. He's below average.
- 52:04Yes, yes. Well, no, no, I don't want to
- 52:10get double fired. You're getting into NBA.
- 52:14Territory, I'm sure. Well, the NDA, well, the NDA
- 52:21hope not 'cause you know, you, you sign away your actual life.
- 52:26And your likeness? That's why Jared's voice is
- 52:29everywhere in the game now. He's AI.
- 52:32That makes a lot of sense. Actually.
- 52:35The entire show AI. Dude, now that you mention it,
- 52:41he looked weirdly. Written by humans.
- 52:45Word for word. Word for word they even have a
- 52:51an actor who plays Jared and they do mocap and they use AI to
- 52:56generate everything. That's what the studio's for.
- 53:00Weirdly, you know they use not even real use for mocap.
- 53:02The volume. They use Wiener dog for mocap.
- 53:07Oh yeah, they use Wiener. Yes, yes.
- 53:10So they have the mocap actors in front of the volume and then
- 53:14they they use AI to superimpose the the Jared persona onto the
- 53:23actor. And let's say for the dev they
- 53:27they have a bottle of Xanax and then they superimposed what
- 53:31would be a dev in that place? So you're telling me that every
- 53:36word out of Jared's mouth is scripted?
- 53:40Yeah, meticulously. Yeah, by the, by the, by the
- 53:46promotions department. I got to say, it could have
- 53:48fooled me. Yeah, I mean, he, you know, he,
- 53:52he pulled off a being a convincing insider that is
- 53:58wanting to get you all the information they don't want you
- 54:01to know pretty well. It is a little mischievous.
- 54:09Well, yeah, a little sneaky. He's pretending like he's he's
- 54:13on our side. And meanwhile he's whispering.
- 54:18Oh, my gosh. And that's why they have to do a
- 54:22digital citizen con, because as citizen con, I saw him.
- 54:25You're telling me that was a man in a costume?
- 54:28Really good cosplay, Really good cosplay.
- 54:31They had a contest and. He hosted.
- 54:36Actually wasn't hard. Well, no, no, no, no.
- 54:40They had a, they had a secret contest.
- 54:43You, you, you weren't invited. Is this like, yeah, go on.
- 54:49That winner won and then hosted the fake cosplay contest where
- 54:58people are like dressed up in armor and stuff.
- 55:01This is like in from the movie Paul McCartney is really dead.
- 55:08He isn't. Have you seen this documentary?
- 55:12It's not a documentary. He's not dead.
- 55:13Has anyone here seen this? Yeah, that I'm interested.
- 55:17No. Is Paul McCartney really dead?
- 55:19This is my first, yeah. I just, I just have to go back
- 55:23real quick saying, whoops, excuse me saying that.
- 55:29What was it? Lord of War was the last good
- 55:31Nicholas Cage movie. Holy wrong.
- 55:33It is a bad Lieutenant Port of call New Orleans erasure, and I
- 55:36will not stand for it. Yes, 2010 was good too.
- 55:39It was a good. One, he was also in the Croods.
- 55:43No, Yeah, the Croods G Force. Do you remember that one?
- 55:49Spider manager, the spider verse like yeah, is that kind?
- 55:53Of yeah, OK, no, no. He may have been in those
- 55:56movies, but those weren't his. OK, Kick Ass was his movie.
- 55:58Come on. Like he played a major role in
- 56:01that. Grace Marez.
- 56:03'S movie. Bad Lieutenant, Port of call,
- 56:06New Orleans is. His movie Stop no one's you saw
- 56:11that. I'm sure we all saw the Ant
- 56:13bully in 2006 also that was. Renfield, OK.
- 56:18Renfield is. Kind of actually more the other
- 56:22guy's movie, but Renfield's actually really.
- 56:25Good. I liked The Unbearable Weight of
- 56:27Mastotel too. Oh, that was good.
- 56:28So I also did. That was That was a fun movie.
- 56:32But before that it was only Lord of War.
- 56:35And KKK. OK.
- 56:37And then? Oh, what?
- 56:41How can you keep Davey Nicholas Cage movies?
- 56:45I loved it. How many are there?
- 56:48A lot. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 56:52Well, this is how you determine this, OK?
- 56:54If Nicholas Cage, Chris Roberts has to put him in, Nicholas Cage
- 56:59sues Chris Roberts because he's not putting him in willingly,
- 57:03OK? You got to put me in.
- 57:05It sues him because Chris Roberts spills hot coffee on him
- 57:09at A at a a barista at a coffee shop.
- 57:14Come on, Chris, you spilled it all over her.
- 57:16What are you gonna do? Yeah, yeah.
- 57:19And Nicholas Cage is like, I'm going to sue you.
- 57:24And anyway, Long story short, he has to put him in the game and
- 57:28Nicholas Cage has to play, you know, a voice act role.
- 57:34It starts Citizen Squadron 42. What role does Nicholas Cage
- 57:38fulfill? Like as an.
- 57:40Actor. No.
- 57:43It, it can be. You could, but it could be
- 57:45anything. No, no, he's he, he's a it's a
- 57:47new role. It's a new role for Nicholas
- 57:48Cage. Evangel, I was gonna say
- 57:50replace, replace Mark. Hamill, yeah, I put him in Mark
- 57:52Hamill's role. Bro fuck you dude.
- 57:55I'm no dude I'm shutting down. This is the lastly between the.
- 57:59Lines. Just tell him to tell him it's
- 58:00like you are. You're just Nicolas Cage in the
- 58:0330th century, Yeah. Go get out of here.
- 58:06It's it's Billy Dooley, Rowena's husband just to piss off all the
- 58:11neckbeards. Oh yeah, I like that.
- 58:14In the sequel, yeah. But Billy, Billy Dooley, he's
- 58:19just a drunk. Billy Dooley here.
- 58:25Nicolas Cage is a vandal would be good.
- 58:27Like one of the vandal back. It'd be so campy and awful, but.
- 58:33Scary. And I got teeth.
- 58:37I I would hate Nicholas Cage as a vandal.
- 58:39I could see him as a Banu. OK, actually, yes, on
- 58:43ironically, yes, him as a him as a Banu, Yeah, yeah.
- 58:47All right, make him an army dealer.
- 58:50Call him the the the Lord of War.
- 58:52The Lord of Mourn. The Lord of Mourn.
- 58:57Trademarked right now. He's with Mccullough's, like
- 59:00main competitor. The Lord of Moore.
- 59:05I hope you're listening, Chris. Yeah, please, please.
- 59:10I don't we the Star Citizen live.
- 59:13We're going to talk about some new features about the yes, the
- 59:19Lord of Moore, He's a new competitor.
- 59:24Could could you imagine this year October citizen Khan
- 59:28direct. It's just in here to talk about
- 59:30his new role, Nicholas. Cage is running like.
- 59:32A zoom call. It's like the the the 280P zoom
- 59:37call. I always lost $1000 to be here.
- 59:44He bought a legatis. We had to do it.
- 59:47I'm buying $1000 worth of paints if Nicholas Cage went.
- 59:51Oh, you heard it here. You heard it here, folks.
- 59:54Dude, if you can have a Corsair with Nicolas Cage's surprise
- 59:58face on the side, yeah, you're going to spend $50 on that skin.
- 1:00:01I know you are. Spent $1000 on a ship.
- 1:00:05You know you spent $5000 on shipping in 2020 because you
- 1:00:09were bored off your ass and going 01 day.
- 1:00:11The JPEG will pay out. But an actual giant mural of
- 1:00:17faint Nicholas. Yeah, on this.
- 1:00:20Put him on a Kraken. Like put him on the deck of the
- 1:00:22Kraken like giant face. Honestly, I wouldn't mind just
- 1:00:29having shower curtains in the game and just getting the
- 1:00:31cascade shower curtains. I have the perfect damage for it
- 1:00:35too. Hold on, let me, let me send it
- 1:00:37in. The Eartha doesn't make a
- 1:00:40billion bucks, but if they're copying the Fortnite model they
- 1:00:42can make 3 billion. I'm just saying.
- 1:00:48There it is. I want there's an airbrush on
- 1:00:50the side of my ship. Did you send it to me?
- 1:00:53In general, someone it's a a carnival ride someone.
- 1:00:59Airbrushed. Cameron toe on on wait for some
- 1:01:03reason. What, what, what?
- 1:01:04Should no. I all of them.
- 1:01:10OK, I'm not going to spend all the time with Photoshop on all
- 1:01:13of them. What should?
- 1:01:16I don't even know. I can't think.
- 1:01:18I can't think off the top of my head, Idris.
- 1:01:21And Idris. Mirrored him.
- 1:01:23Mirrored on the front doors. There it.
- 1:01:27Is you see it? There he is.
- 1:01:33I'm I don't want to see it. I'm upset I saw it.
- 1:01:35What movies? Helen Cameron Conair Bro, That's
- 1:01:40Cameron Pell. I didn't know it was such a
- 1:01:42legit that. Was a great movie.
- 1:01:44That was a good movie too. Yeah, dishonorably discharged
- 1:01:46because he killing a man with his bare hands and his bare
- 1:01:49hands were considered lethal weapons.
- 1:01:51So he. Went to oh get.
- 1:01:52Out of here, Have you not seen Conair?
- 1:01:55No, I haven't seen it. It's Dave.
- 1:01:59Chappelle in. It.
- 1:02:01It's a. Comedy.
- 1:02:03John Malkovich. No, No.
- 1:02:05No, it's like one of those cool ass 90s.
- 1:02:09Or was it 2000, early 2000 like? 90s.
- 1:02:13Action movies, that was just iconic.
- 1:02:15It was it was a great movie. Definitely worth watching.
- 1:02:19It's it's it's like point blank but with C fives.
- 1:02:23And C1. 30s or whatever. It's like a it's.
- 1:02:26Like a Sundays started to suck. It's like a Sundays on TBS
- 1:02:31movie. Oh, yeah.
- 1:02:33OK, Yeah. You know, like you watch it.
- 1:02:35You watch it in like a 66° hotel room with like take out.
- 1:02:42It's like for. Some reason it's on.
- 1:02:44It's on twice. It's on just two times in a row.
- 1:02:47Yeah, on EBS, he came on after NASCAR because he left the TV on
- 1:02:56and and. You catch the you catch the
- 1:02:58second-half first. Well, yeah, and then you got to
- 1:03:02see the first half because you got to know like, well, OK,
- 1:03:04well, what did he do to get on to the con air?
- 1:03:08And then you see the, the, the memed clips of it and like, hey,
- 1:03:12I remember that meme. So yeah.
- 1:03:18So I try to, I try to avoid Nicolas Cage memes.
- 1:03:20I'm I'm serious. And then Nicolas Cage.
- 1:03:23But honestly, I don't hate Nicolas Cage.
- 1:03:25I'm just like what? I hate Tom Hanks and I don't I
- 1:03:29don't, I'm sorry to say. That's such a strong word.
- 1:03:31Yeah, I that. Means you hate Cloud Atlas.
- 1:03:35Never seen. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:40But saving time, right? The terminal.
- 1:03:43David Pumpkins, bro. You don't like David?
- 1:03:45Pumpkins. No, David Pumpkins is stupid.
- 1:03:49You're not a David, Pumpkins said.
- 1:03:50I'm not. I No, I know I don't.
- 1:03:53I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I somehow love it because I
- 1:03:56think all of you are so wrong about Tom Hanks.
- 1:03:59I don't understand it. Everyone's like he's an American
- 1:04:01treasure. I'm like, why?
- 1:04:02He doesn't even. Do you know what David Pumpkins
- 1:04:04is? It's Tom Hanks in in a suit with
- 1:04:07Pumpkins on it. Yeah.
- 1:04:11I mean, yeah, you just, you described it.
- 1:04:13Well, well, how about this? You, you gave, we got, we got
- 1:04:18Colin Hanks out of it more. Importantly, we got we got Chad
- 1:04:22Hanks out of it. What that's most important?
- 1:04:25How do you know these names? You don't know about.
- 1:04:29You need to look up Chad Hanks please.
- 1:04:31That's his son. If, If yes, it it, it's the
- 1:04:35greatest fucking thing. In the world.
- 1:04:37She's deteriorating. OK, hold on.
- 1:04:40Let me see what I can do here. Inventor of white boy summer
- 1:04:46Occasional patois Speaker you. Didn't like Toy Story?
- 1:04:53They. Call it as his Chester March.
- 1:04:57Much more. He's my age.
- 1:05:02I'm doxing myself a little bit here, but we're the same.
- 1:05:04Is he more accomplished than me? Can't be.
- 1:05:09Oh. My God, he is more of false.
- 1:05:11He was on Atlanta. The brats.
- 1:05:13Movie. Curb Your Enthusiasm like he's
- 1:05:15he's definitely more accomplished than you.
- 1:05:17Sorry. Really.
- 1:05:21He was in the World War Two film Greyhound, starring his father.
- 1:05:25His dad got him a role in his movies.
- 1:05:30So so yeah, he is a total neppo baby.
- 1:05:33Colin, however, is actually not. Colin's actually very talented
- 1:05:37and he's very successful. Colin Hanks.
- 1:05:40Well, I hope, I hope the Hanks brothers, especially Chester
- 1:05:44Marlin Hanks, doesn't listen to Open Comms Radio.
- 1:05:47I'm sure they do. Well, they're, they're, they're
- 1:05:51about 12 years apart, so. Oh.
- 1:05:52I know this kid. I know this skinny kid.
- 1:05:55Yeah, this, this he's, he's great.
- 1:05:57He's actually good. Colin Colin Hanks.
- 1:06:00But yes, Charleston Sudden Insights.
- 1:06:04Saving Private Ryan, you do need to see cloud at I mean, I'm
- 1:06:12sorry, Saving Private Ryan is, is probably one of those classic
- 1:06:17American movies that you know. Toy Story.
- 1:06:21It was actually about what? Toy Story, dude, Yeah.
- 1:06:24Like yeah, Sully, Sully bro. Yeah.
- 1:06:28I mean killer of geese. I mean, you're a Tom Hanks man,
- 1:06:32you don't even know it. Hold on, no can I?
- 1:06:35You've mentioned Sully and this is my biggest problem with Tom
- 1:06:38Hanks to get 2 real on you. Wow.
- 1:06:40What's your problem? You big you big geese guy?
- 1:06:42Why is it whenever there's an American tragedy, Tom Hanks
- 1:06:46makes a movie from it? Someone's got a.
- 1:06:50He isn't he in Pearl Harbor? Maybe not.
- 1:06:53He's in Saving Private Run, all those war movies.
- 1:06:56He's in like a 911 movie. That guy lands the plane.
- 1:06:59They're like, we need you to play it every, every time.
- 1:07:02Something's sad. Even Forrest Gump.
- 1:07:04Forrest Gump is a special needs person facing a slew of American
- 1:07:08tragedies. AIDS epidemic.
- 1:07:11Philadelphia. I love Forrest.
- 1:07:13Gump. Oh my gosh.
- 1:07:14Hold up. Do the Charlie.
- 1:07:17Wilson in in real life, in real life, Jar Jar In real life you
- 1:07:25are more on the humanitarian end of things, correct?
- 1:07:29I'd, I'd like to think so. Yeah.
- 1:07:31Yeah. People First.
- 1:07:32John Adams. Then understand when you say all
- 1:07:37those things that Tom Hanks actually went to help with all
- 1:07:42of those issues as well. It wasn't just that it's Forrest
- 1:07:46Gump and like, Oh no, he started a charity to help veterans and
- 1:07:50to help people in need. I mean, like, like every single
- 1:07:54thing you're talking about Philadelphia going to help
- 1:07:58people with it. I mean, the guy actually, when
- 1:08:01he does something like he he did this and he does look into his
- 1:08:06history. Like you got to understand when
- 1:08:08look man, like thinking Tom Hanks is a great guy.
- 1:08:11It's not just because like he does old movies, it's also
- 1:08:14because, and in that back end, he actually does something about
- 1:08:18it. He doesn't just pour it as
- 1:08:20wealth. He landed, he actually went to
- 1:08:24the Vatican City to solve the problems and angels and.
- 1:08:34Yeah, dude, I don't know, dude. You know, I got a movie about
- 1:08:38homeless people, so I'm going to do a bunch of homeless charity
- 1:08:40stuff before the movie comes out.
- 1:08:42No, no, no, no, no. But then but then he and they
- 1:08:47still do work for these days. And this is The thing is that
- 1:08:51they they also raise awareness to connecting with people.
- 1:08:55OK, Philadelphia. If no one would have saw that
- 1:08:59movie, they wouldn't have understood what was going on and
- 1:09:04how fucked up things were and how, you know, like literally
- 1:09:08the United States government abandoned these people because
- 1:09:12they go, well, they're just going to all die off.
- 1:09:14They didn't care about their lives at all.
- 1:09:16You had these movies that highlighted actual things and
- 1:09:20and raised real awareness when you talk about an impact on to
- 1:09:22the world. Tom Hanks has left a gigantic 1.
- 1:09:27And not only that, well, we should.
- 1:09:32He's a good guy. I'm just saying that when you
- 1:09:35say, OK, well, that's important to Tom Hanks, I'm like, Oh my
- 1:09:38God, 'cause the more you look at into it and the more that he
- 1:09:42actually just does something because he, he's a person with
- 1:09:45empathy, you know, like, yeah, kinda.
- 1:09:51Oh wait, the Comms radio, your Star Citizen call in show.
- 1:09:55Every week we pop in and talk about all things Star Citizen.
- 1:10:02So something else? He needs Tom Hanks.
- 1:10:04Oh my God. Something.
- 1:10:05Else he did. Here's what Here's what he did.
- 1:10:08Apollo 13. You know what that proved?
- 1:10:10What did that? What did he do?
- 1:10:12We need multi proved. There it is.
- 1:10:15Yeah. There it is.
- 1:10:16Wow. Wow, dude.
- 1:10:20You need someone on the forest and guiding you the entire way
- 1:10:25throughout your mission. We need remote control.
- 1:10:28We need. We need better coms systems for
- 1:10:31for multi free. Yeah, see it's it's all, it's
- 1:10:34all coming together. It's all coming together.
- 1:10:37Yeah, you brought it. I mean, you brought it back home
- 1:10:39for me. Thank you so much for.
- 1:10:41That we do need individualized coms for like inship and fleet
- 1:10:45and but that's another thing multi free would help with like
- 1:10:53giving up the coms stuff. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:58And that like calms priorities and stuff like that priority.
- 1:11:03Speakers, get us off discord please, like I want to be.
- 1:11:10Yeah, I'd be so happy. In game com systems as intended.
- 1:11:13I want to foipy people like I want to do all of that, and I've
- 1:11:18wanted to for years, but they've just let.
- 1:11:21What's your button? What's your?
- 1:11:23What's your call button? What button do you press?
- 1:11:26You have to like go through the MFD to click the call or through
- 1:11:30mobi glass to call someone. You only ever do it by accident.
- 1:11:35It's like you're usually trying to invite someone to a party and
- 1:11:39you end up calling them instead and then it just breaks through
- 1:11:41MFD. Right, see, I play with the
- 1:11:47controller, so the whole process is a little like having an open
- 1:11:52mic is what I need. But I I've had open my concern
- 1:11:55system before when it was working and I realized, you
- 1:11:57know. Oh, for me it's the plus on the
- 1:12:00numpad for just VoIP, but like that's a crapshoot if it's
- 1:12:05actually going to work. And then the yeah.
- 1:12:09It doesn't work most of the time.
- 1:12:10I was probably the other day. The voice mix, the sound mixing
- 1:12:13is awful. It's like you can barely hear
- 1:12:15them over there. Fantastic music.
- 1:12:21Like imagine us all, you know, sitting around shooting the shit
- 1:12:24and people are trying to have separate conversations instead
- 1:12:26of dropping a channel like you just walk in the other room and.
- 1:12:30Then if someone like is on the bridge and goes, guys, someone's
- 1:12:33here, they use the ship wide radio and go hey guys, someone's
- 1:12:37here. Like the ship's here.
- 1:12:39Yeah, that's great. Yeah.
- 1:12:40I want it to be intercommy. I know there's no reason for it
- 1:12:43to be, but I want it to sound like an intercom.
- 1:12:45It'll come through a Moby class, I reckon like it that they're
- 1:12:49they're going to just it. That's the path of least
- 1:12:51resistance is that you just network the Mobi glasses so that
- 1:12:56if you're sending out a call to a certain group, that group is
- 1:12:59the ship. Something like that.
- 1:13:04And if there's one thing we know about CIG is they always take
- 1:13:06the path of least resistance, no?
- 1:13:13Staring at the physicalized everything.
- 1:13:18It just. Has to be it.
- 1:13:20Doesn't even have to be slightly better, it has to be almost as
- 1:13:25good and I think people will start using it.
- 1:13:29Oh yeah, almost as good is fine because.
- 1:13:33I think I think asking for a true discord clone is too much.
- 1:13:38I think they've said like they're not going to do that.
- 1:13:41It was in an SCL. Want to do a discord clone?
- 1:13:45It was just slightly out of budget and we didn't have enough
- 1:13:52time, you must understand. Slightly.
- 1:13:57Aren't you coming up on like $800 million?
- 1:14:02Almost to those stretch goals, guys.
- 1:14:06Almost to the stretch goals. Almost.
- 1:14:09Well, we are almost at the end of the show.
- 1:14:11I think we've been on a wild ride this week and each and
- 1:14:15everyone of you has played a role here.
- 1:14:18Thank you. Thank you all for joining Open
- 1:14:21Comms Radio and thank you for multi crewing the show.
- 1:14:25Thanks to you grab broccoli Rob. Thank you again.
- 1:14:28Thank you for having me. This is a delight.
- 1:14:31Yeah. And I just, I just want to drive
- 1:14:35a few points home. First of all, Kevin Bacon was
- 1:14:39also in Apollo 13 and he never gets any credit for it.
- 1:14:43And this is another problem with Tom Hanks is almost demonically
- 1:14:48he outshines everyone else. I think it's a kind of hypnosis
- 1:14:52thing. I'll give you that.
- 1:14:58There's that. You remember that?
- 1:14:59Christmas, the Medal of Freedom. Yeah, well, fucking Rudy
- 1:15:03Giuliani. I'll probably win that too, so.
- 1:15:05War does he have? Yeah.
- 1:15:07I. Mean you wouldn't matter.
- 1:15:08OK, you. Know what I don't?
- 1:15:09Think it ever mattered? President should not be handing
- 1:15:11out. Medals ever matter.
- 1:15:13No, this is America. Totally.
- 1:15:15We should not have medals. In fact, most medals did not
- 1:15:19exist for the longest time in U.S. history.
- 1:15:22The even the Purple Heart was not in medal for a long time
- 1:15:26because they did not like medals.
- 1:15:29What? No, I mean it, it was.
- 1:15:31I mean, they gave a whole bunch out during the Civil War.
- 1:15:33I mean, that's pretty early on in our history.
- 1:15:37I mean, I mean it. I mean from the founding of the
- 1:15:41country to the first Civil War was a lot shorter than from the
- 1:15:45first Civil War to the second. You know, Bill Clinton got the
- 1:15:50Medal of Freedom. Huh.
- 1:15:52What for? Bill Clinton got 8 presidents
- 1:15:56have themselves received the Presidential Medal of Freedom,
- 1:15:59OK? Perfect, perfect reason to show
- 1:16:02that's not. Come on guys, who's awarded?
- 1:16:07They're just awarding. These to each other medals are a
- 1:16:09sign of the old world. OK L LBJ got one post both of
- 1:16:16them after they died. Ronald Reagan with distinction.
- 1:16:20Yeah, yeah, that's coming. Taxes.
- 1:16:23Gerald Ford got it. Jimmy Carter, George HW Bush,
- 1:16:28Bill Clinton and Joe Biden. Because Obama gave it to Biden,
- 1:16:33if you recall. They're giving Medal of Freedoms
- 1:16:36out to one term presidents. Bill Belichick, this is when he
- 1:16:41was VP. He got it.
- 1:16:42He got after, after, when O Biden, when O Biden, when Obama
- 1:16:47was done Biden the same thing, don't you say?
- 1:16:53Toward the end of his term, he gave it to Joe Biden to be like,
- 1:16:55thank you, 'cause he assumed Joe Biden would never be president
- 1:16:58of the United States. So he needed a He needed a
- 1:17:02Special Boy award. Yeah, he wanted to give him a
- 1:17:04special boy award. Everyone needs a check of the
- 1:17:08New England Patriots. Got it.
- 1:17:12Well, I mean, come on. Football player.
- 1:17:14I have to. I mean, did you, did you see
- 1:17:19what he did on the field? What last week did?
- 1:17:23You see that in Ludacris play. Did you see what the multi
- 1:17:28millionaire who you know gets paid a lot of money did?
- 1:17:35Come on. You know this list does give you
- 1:17:38a good because this has who each president awarded them to.
- 1:17:43And. JFK's were all awarded to like,
- 1:17:46artists and like scientists, OK? And like the guy who invented
- 1:17:53the Polaroid camera. You know, OK, that's, that's,
- 1:17:58that's a lot. How many of those?
- 1:18:00Recipient Citi Bang, though. I mean, how many were female?
- 1:18:06What then? I'm.
- 1:18:07Not sure what does that. Mean on the on the one hand.
- 1:18:10I'm I'm just saying there were 38 females and he banged 39 of
- 1:18:13them. Hello.
- 1:18:15Yeah. Yeah, that's a fact.
- 1:18:19Facts. Oh, Jimmy Carter gave it to
- 1:18:23Ansel Adams, the photographer. Well, see, that's the thing.
- 1:18:27It doesn't matter. Come on.
- 1:18:29It it mostly. OK, Rush Limbaugh got it.
- 1:18:31Yeah. Like come on, come on, folks.
- 1:18:35Like. Damn it, man.
- 1:18:38If it wasn't dead with Ronald Reagan, it's dead with freshman
- 1:18:40Block. The man was pro smoking in the
- 1:18:442000s like what the fuck. Bush gave it to the president of
- 1:18:49The Washington Post for whatever.
- 1:18:52There's a bit of iron in. There, Dave, He can't tell you
- 1:18:55something. Dave Thomas, founder and CEO of
- 1:18:57Wendy's. Got it.
- 1:19:01Honorary degree from Harvard French Legion of Honor, Kennedy
- 1:19:07Center Honors, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Navy Distinguished Public
- 1:19:11Service Award and. Rush Limbaugh.
- 1:19:16And no golden, I don't know, there's there's a whole bunch of
- 1:19:22shit, research all of that and then shit all over it too.
- 1:19:26Hey, you got a good choice award.
- 1:19:28That you know what that matters. Yeah, it's the real award that's
- 1:19:33the important one. And if you get slimed on
- 1:19:36Nickelodeon, that was a rare. Truly, it's like a baptism.
- 1:19:42Wait, is he? And he got Huh.
- 1:19:47No, no he doesn't. Grammy.
- 1:19:49Never mind. All right, you got it.
- 1:19:53Well, this show's gone off the rails that would.
- 1:19:55Be a fault. Grammy.
- 1:19:56Oscar. Tony.
- 1:20:00Who got it? Who?
- 1:20:01Got it, you. Talking about Bill Clinton.
- 1:20:02Quadruple. Quadruple threat.
- 1:20:04Not EGOT. It's when someone gets Richard
- 1:20:07the four big awards. Can I ask you a question?
- 1:20:11Broccoli says. You're looking up.
- 1:20:12Did Tom Hanks get the Medal of Freedom?
- 1:20:17Yeah. Yeah, you got it from Obama.
- 1:20:22Oh. Oh, 2016, right?
- 1:20:26Down Obama. I have some bad news about
- 1:20:29egots. What's this?
- 1:20:32Yeah. Oh, wait, never mind.
- 1:20:33That's not the person I thought it was.
- 1:20:34That's an interesting. I didn't know if Justin Paul had
- 1:20:36any got. Justin Paul, I don't know that.
- 1:20:43Was. All right, open Comms Radio.
- 1:20:46No, no, no, no, Anubis. No.
- 1:20:50This is off. This is off the rails for too
- 1:20:52long. We're coming up in an hour and a
- 1:20:53half. So what?
- 1:20:55People are here for. We're, I know, I know, I know.
- 1:20:58But now we're in an hour and a half.
- 1:20:59We spend 45 minutes talking about Tom Hanks and hopefully so
- 1:21:03and everything and everything else, but I'm going to end the
- 1:21:07show like I always end the show. We go around to the people on
- 1:21:11the couch, thank them for being here.
- 1:21:15And I ask him, is there anything you want to say to Chris Roberts
- 1:21:17CIG or the people on the Internet?
- 1:21:19So Lord Anubis, you were the last one in.
- 1:21:21Is there anything you want to say to Chris Roberts, CIG or the
- 1:21:24people on the Internet? Chris, don't make your your
- 1:21:29staff avert their eyes. Yeah, I know it makes you more
- 1:21:34comfortable, but really it's it's it's kind of a little bit
- 1:21:42overboard. You can just have them close
- 1:21:45their eyes. It's a lot easier.
- 1:21:48And to CIG itself, make sure to copy everything that we say
- 1:21:55because we are totally not inspired.
- 1:21:57What What you buy, what you've already announced.
- 1:22:01So we take credit for everything you do.
- 1:22:06All sad, all sad, all sad cosmic hobo.
- 1:22:11Thank you for coming over Coms radio today.
- 1:22:14Anything you want to say to Chris Roberts, CIG or the people
- 1:22:17on the Internet? Nicholas Cage as a Banu Lord of
- 1:22:20More. Make it happen.
- 1:22:23Yeah, I'm into that. I'm actually kind of into that
- 1:22:27brilliant, brilliant idea. Well, Rob Broccoli Rob, my good
- 1:22:31friend, we did it. Yeah, we we got through.
- 1:22:35We got through this today. I died.
- 1:22:40You were great, you were great Co host.
- 1:22:42How'd you feel about it? Oh, it's fun, it's fun.
- 1:22:45You got to sit here and and yap for an hour and a half.
- 1:22:51Is there a lot about everybody? Is there anything you would do
- 1:22:54differently or anything you would change about the show
- 1:22:58given ultimate power? No, I, I like the format.
- 1:23:03I think it, it flows well and we, you know, go off into
- 1:23:09tangents, but bring it back. And I feel like we can't bring
- 1:23:12it back and then effortlessly jump back into the subject.
- 1:23:15I, I, I don't know, I thought it was good.
- 1:23:19All right, well this is your your your outro here so usually
- 1:23:24the Co host will help play us out.
- 1:23:30Play. Well, you play.
- 1:23:32You play us out. Like.
- 1:23:35Well, you do a. Musician as well.
- 1:23:37Did you not read? Oh, I didn't.
- 1:23:39You. Didn't get the manual, the I
- 1:23:41mean the the handbook. Sorry, it's fucking.
- 1:23:44Ridiculous every everyone else fucking read the handbook.
- 1:23:47Dude, I blame you. You should have made it
- 1:23:49apparent. Anubis hasn't even Co hosted and
- 1:23:52he's fucking read that it's one page.
- 1:23:54OK, OK, let me see if I can find it.
- 1:23:56It was written by cat GBTI mean it's got the little M thing that
- 1:24:00the dash. Is the M-IS.
- 1:24:02There, I'm going to have to put a closet in next time.
- 1:24:04Don't Tom Hanks shit. This is not just only Nicholas
- 1:24:07Cage. Yeah.
- 1:24:11It's always tried a movie with awful.
- 1:24:14I don't know if I ever actually watched that entirely.
- 1:24:17Nah, it might have been one of those that I watched on the, you
- 1:24:21know, like I said, like Sundays on TBS.
- 1:24:24I'll I'll put it this way, the Agents of SHIELD version of
- 1:24:26Ghost Rider was better. That he had a version of Ghost
- 1:24:30Rider and Agents of SHIELD I only I never made a few like the
- 1:24:34first. Season Exactly.
- 1:24:36Exactly. Broccoli lost control.
- 1:24:40Play us out, broccoli. I can't, I can't end it until
- 1:24:43you play us out. Oh Jesus, he's supposed.
- 1:24:45To play. Play.
- 1:24:48All right, let me, let me warm up.
- 1:24:49What? Are you playing the skin flute?
- 1:24:54He's fucking me. He just said he liked the format
- 1:24:55and now I'm trying to maintain format.
- 1:24:58OK, stop picking it up. Research.
- 1:25:00Format. Is it really not picking it up?
- 1:25:09It's not no no do a Jingle. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm whistling.
- 1:25:13Oh. Oh, you're, you're whistling.
- 1:25:16You're trying to. Well, whistling's easy to do.
- 1:25:21That sounds pretty pathetic. No, I don't even hear anything.
- 1:25:27I know I'm I'm doing. Are you using a dog?
- 1:25:29Whistle a dog? No, no, no, I don't.
- 1:25:33Have you ever whistled before? Yes.
- 1:25:38I heard the whistles go woo. The whistle go woo.
- 1:25:48No, you can't do it. Broccoli.
- 1:25:50'S got to do it. Breach a contract?
- 1:25:58Goddammit, Anubis.
