- 1:36Speaker 2: Welcome to your meditative prayer on healing grief. To get
- 1:40Speaker 2: the most out of your spiritual journey, use Pray.com every
- 1:43Speaker 2: day and make prayer a priority in your life. Again,
- 1:48Speaker 2: our goal for today's meditative prayer is healing grief. In
- 1:51Speaker 2: this trying time, my friends, try to go to your
- 1:55Speaker 2: secret place. A place where you can relax and let
- 2:01Speaker 2: your guard down. Try to tune out everything else Breathe
- 2:08Speaker 2: in deep through your nose. And exhale out through your mouth.
- 2:17Speaker 2: And reach out towards God with your mind and your
- 2:20Speaker 2: broken heart. Today, again, we'll be meditating on Psalm chapter 30,
- 2:26Speaker 2: verses 10 through 11 from the King James Version. They read, Hear,
- 2:32Speaker 2: O Lord. They read, Hear, O Lord. and have mercy
- 2:37Speaker 2: upon me. Lord, be thou my helper. Thou hast turned
- 2:43Speaker 2: from me in my mourning into dancing. Thou hast put
- 2:47Speaker 2: off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness. Take a
- 2:53Speaker 2: moment to pour out your adoration to God right now.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Heavenly Father, Lord, I worship you, for you are my
- 3:03Speaker 2: help in times of need. Praise you for your fierce
- 3:09Speaker 2: love and for your mighty grace. Father, you alone turn
- 3:14Speaker 2: mourning into dancing. You remove the sting of death and
- 3:20Speaker 2: trade my sorrow for joy. You cast aside death and
- 3:26Speaker 2: in its place you create life. Father, you are great
- 3:33Speaker 2: and greatly to be praised. The ability to dream is
- 3:39Speaker 2: a God-given gift. To have hope for the future and
- 3:43Speaker 2: to aspire goodness is a beautiful thing. However, beautiful things
- 3:50Speaker 2: can be fragile and vulnerable. Like a stone tossed upon
- 3:55Speaker 2: a glass surface, unexpected circumstances and unforeseen loss can shatter
- 4:01Speaker 2: your soul. Few things will cripple the human spirit as
- 4:05Speaker 2: grief does. But you must remember, our God is not
- 4:10Speaker 2: a cruel God. He did not create you with the
- 4:14Speaker 2: capacity to dream, to have goals and desires, to merely
- 4:18Speaker 2: deny them to you. So this is your moment to
- 4:24Speaker 2: bring to mind all your shattered hopes. The dreams long
- 4:29Speaker 2: dead and buried maybe deep inside your heart. Confess to
- 4:36Speaker 2: God the hopelessness, maybe. Confess to God the hopelessness, the grief,
- 4:42Speaker 2: and the loss you've been carrying. And do not be afraid.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Be honest and open with God right now through prayer.
- 4:55Speaker 2: As heavy a weight as grief can be, there's always
- 4:58Speaker 2: a reason for gratitude. So take a moment to set
- 5:02Speaker 2: aside all loss and And instead, focus on your existing blessings.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Those hopes and desires you once believed impossible and unattainable, nonetheless,
- 5:14Speaker 2: God manifested them in your life. Think of past situations
- 5:20Speaker 2: of sadness and sorrow, where God gave your heart a
- 5:23Speaker 2: new song to dance to. Moments you mourned the closing
- 5:28Speaker 2: of a door, only to see God open a better one.
- 5:32Speaker 2: The reality is, God is good all the time. So
- 5:38Speaker 2: thank him for all the past blessings he has bestowed
- 5:42Speaker 2: upon your life. Thank him for the promise of resurrection
- 5:46Speaker 2: and for the fulfillment of all dreams to come. God
- 5:52Speaker 2: is present and he's listening to you. Be mindful of
- 5:57Speaker 2: his promises. Be bold and ask the Holy Spirit to
- 6:01Speaker 2: revive your dreams and Ask Him for hope anew, for
- 6:08Speaker 2: the ability to realize this is not the end. Ask
- 6:13Speaker 2: Him for springs in the midst of the desert and
- 6:17Speaker 2: ask Him to help you acknowledge God's goodness every day
- 6:22Speaker 2: and in every way. Remember, God wants you to be
- 6:26Speaker 2: happy and to be whole. He can transform death into dreams.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Even in the midst of hardship, God is still good
- 6:35Speaker 2: and He's still in control. God promised He would always
- 6:40Speaker 2: care and provide for you. He promised His blessings will
- 6:45Speaker 2: overrun your life. So do not give. Today, live in
- 6:51Speaker 2: gratitude to God and watch Him exchange your grief for gladness.
- 6:58Speaker 2: My friends, thank you for completing today's meditative prayer on Pray.com.
