- 1:02Speaker 1: thought you were about to go into a We have
- 1:05Speaker 1: shirm here in the flesh. He come, he comes in,
- 1:07Speaker 1: He comes in two days a week. I haven't seen
- 1:10Speaker 1: Sureim in a few days because he's in the trenches
- 1:12Speaker 1: right now. He's got a what a one week old?
- 1:15Speaker 2: One week old, one week and one day old.
- 1:17Speaker 1: One week and one day old. For by wondering what
- 1:19Speaker 1: isn't Why doesn't Papa shirm? Why doesn't Papa Shirm get
- 1:22Speaker 1: paternity leave? We're too thin at the office to give
- 1:25Speaker 1: people paternity leave. I had to step them aside and say,
- 1:28Speaker 1: we don't believe in paternity.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Leave right now.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Even though we want to embrace fatherhood, we don't have
- 1:33Speaker 1: the bandwidth to let you go on a three month
- 1:37Speaker 1: paternity leave.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Absolutely, don't get paternity leave.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Good yeah, yeah, Oh, you don't get paternity leave. Good. Good.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You have to come into work. Your wife's mad at you,
- 1:45Speaker 1: she's cussing you out.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Good. She said, how long is the recording?
- 1:50Speaker 3: How long is the recording going to be today? That
- 1:52Speaker 3: was an actual question.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Good, Yeah, you tell her, sweetheart, under an hour if
- 1:56Speaker 1: you watch the If you watch the show, we always
- 1:58Speaker 1: try to keep it under an hour, but you never
- 2:00Speaker 1: go under an hour. So what do you need to
- 2:02Speaker 1: say to yourself, sweetheart? You need to look in the
- 2:04Speaker 1: mirror and say good Welcome for the dads.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Welcome for the dads.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Only two times a week I come in, but I
- 2:11Speaker 3: still find a way to interrupt your intros. I think
- 2:13Speaker 3: that's like my fourth intro to interrupt.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Well, the problem is you ordered us some gasoline here
- 2:19Speaker 1: shout out Eighth and Rose Coffee in Nashville. No free
- 2:21Speaker 1: shout outs. But you ordered a Colebrew, which I didn't
- 2:25Speaker 1: learn until right before we started. But you put in
- 2:26Speaker 1: an extra shot of espresso in Colebrew.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I spiked will Compton's drink this morning. My teeth
- 2:34Speaker 3: are vibrating. We were sitting here silently, like preparing for
- 2:38Speaker 3: the show. It was so quiet in here, and then
- 2:41Speaker 3: as soon as the eighth and Rosk came in and
- 2:42Speaker 3: we started just slowly drinking it, all of a sudden,
- 2:46Speaker 3: we're like doing South African accidents watching line video.
- 2:50Speaker 2: I'm minching my own right now, and I'm not even itchy.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Your teeth were vibrating. I could tell when you were
- 2:54Speaker 3: just sitting there.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Were Chef tells us he does he only drinks one
- 2:57Speaker 1: cup of coffee a day. He's doubling up today because
- 3:02Speaker 1: we got Chef who's an intern.
- 3:03Speaker 2: How old are you?
- 3:04Speaker 1: Chef twenty three years old. We got Big Cheese who's
- 3:07Speaker 1: an intern. He's nineteen years old. They were kind of
- 3:08Speaker 1: talking about their caffeine intake. They sound like rookies on
- 3:11Speaker 1: caffeine intake. Zimon boys, I'm gonna be a couple fom
- 3:14Speaker 1: energies deep into coffee by the time the afternoon hits.
- 3:17Speaker 1: But you only have one cup of coffee a day,
- 3:19Speaker 1: which I think is psychotic, but good for you.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I think it's a healthy habit. Yeah, it's good. And
- 3:24Speaker 2: Chef doesn't have he doesn't have a mic back there,
- 3:25Speaker 2: so it's kind of tough, is it? In an adderall?
- 3:35Speaker 2: He was three cups a day and an adderall? For
- 3:38Speaker 2: those listening, what were those jitters?
- 3:40Speaker 1: I'm like sitting here interviewing Chef on the podcast. People
- 3:43Speaker 1: can't hear him in the background.
- 3:44Speaker 2: He's interesting.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Did you see the comments about chef? He said he
- 3:51Speaker 3: felt like it, But you just like to control.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Your caffeine intake. Got you and sorry for the listeners
- 4:01Speaker 1: out there. And look we we saw all the comments
- 4:04Speaker 1: last week. Audio is low. Audio is low on Apple
- 4:07Speaker 1: and Spotify. Yeah, good hand up for the brand, not
- 4:11Speaker 1: hand up internally. Hand up for the brand, though, hand
- 4:14Speaker 1: up for the people. We will get that fixed because
- 4:19Speaker 1: once I see the first couple, I just hit the
- 4:20Speaker 1: group chat. Hey, audio, the audio is low.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Audio is low. You guys check in your phone. Hey,
- 4:26Speaker 2: what's going on while you I don't know.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I thought I hit the mew button again and I didn't.
- 4:32Speaker 1: But we'll keep the uh, We'll make sure the audio waves,
- 4:35Speaker 1: the sound and everything is good. Look, this is a
- 4:37Speaker 1: this is a new show. This is a new podcast,
- 4:39Speaker 1: new podcast. Unfortunately, sum he's on when he's on paternity leave,
- 4:44Speaker 1: you know, five out of the seven days a week.
- 4:45Speaker 1: That's kind of the that's kind of the deal we're at.
- 4:47Speaker 1: It's like, hey, you just come in a couple times whenever.
- 4:49Speaker 1: We gotta shoot busts with the boys, and we gotta
- 4:51Speaker 1: shoot for the dads, and that be at home, be
- 4:53Speaker 1: in the trenches. Weirdly enough, Chef Jack, who's a summer intern,
- 4:58Speaker 1: has kind of taken on the entire production.
- 5:01Speaker 3: The entire production for the dads.
- 5:03Speaker 2: He's coming in and.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Learn a couple of things about something in this injury
- 5:06Speaker 1: in this industry. He's running the entire operation for the dads.
- 5:09Speaker 3: We very quickly as we're launching the show, Will is
- 5:12Speaker 3: looking at me as the owner of bus and in general,
- 5:15Speaker 3: and just gone, I think, I think we need a
- 5:20Speaker 3: full time employee for for the dads.
- 5:22Speaker 2: And I'm sitting.
- 5:22Speaker 3: There doing most of the for the dad stuff before
- 5:25Speaker 3: the show's even launched. I'm like, oh my god, that's
- 5:28Speaker 3: the greatest idea of all time. And then we just
- 5:30Speaker 3: slowly pan over to the right and we see five
- 5:33Speaker 3: fresh intern sitting there.
- 5:34Speaker 1: We're like, thank god, we're just a full on social
- 5:38Speaker 1: person because I love the foundation.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I love the foundation.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Where right now with for the dadsyah, Like we're kind
- 5:44Speaker 1: of roughly running the average. Like on YouTube, it's like
- 5:46Speaker 1: ten thousand views. People keep showing up, people keep leaving comments.
- 5:49Speaker 1: The comments are fucking awesome. We'll get to the comments
- 5:51Speaker 1: here in a minute to shout out more people. Yeah,
- 5:54Speaker 1: and there's a lot of opportunity for engagement on social
- 5:57Speaker 1: media just because it's like dads are wanting to share. Dude,
- 6:00Speaker 1: I dropped a roll call Papa Team six roll call
- 6:04Speaker 1: on Twitter and my Instagram story the other day, and
- 6:07Speaker 1: everybody's just commenting.
- 6:08Speaker 2: None of they're dropping their photos. They're showing off the kids.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Hey we're in the trenches, it's about that time, by
- 6:12Speaker 1: that time for bedtime, or they're just showing a photo
- 6:14Speaker 1: of them outside whatever it is. Yeah, people are responding
- 6:17Speaker 1: to the roll call. People are bought in to Papa
- 6:19Speaker 1: Team six.
- 6:20Speaker 3: The length of the comments too, it's not just like
- 6:24Speaker 3: a o PG six exclamation points. It's like, hey father too, Yeah,
- 6:29Speaker 3: four year old, eight year old, we did this, and
- 6:31Speaker 3: you're just reading all these comments. It's incredible.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Yeah, we're definitely consuming all of it, but just the
- 6:38Speaker 1: engagement and nurturing that. I feel like this brand needs.
- 6:42Speaker 1: You kind of need another You need a full time person.
- 6:45Speaker 1: You know, Chef Jay he's a summer intern as of
- 6:48Speaker 1: right now, as of right now.
- 6:50Speaker 2: And he's only one summer intern. He can only do
- 6:53Speaker 2: so much.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you having the kid, it's like you know you're
- 6:59Speaker 1: gonna be you gotta do what you gotta do. Like
- 7:03Speaker 1: having a couple of kiddos, knowing kind of how it
- 7:05Speaker 1: how it all works at home, knowing how much you
- 7:07Speaker 1: know you put in the amount of time you can
- 7:09Speaker 1: at work, and then you go home to do all
- 7:11Speaker 1: the responsibilities with being a dad. For whatever reason, it's
- 7:16Speaker 1: it's still shocked me more knowing your absence, because again,
- 7:21Speaker 1: you're you're also even though you're co hosting with me,
- 7:23Speaker 1: you became probably more of a co host than I
- 7:25Speaker 1: think both of us anticipated, in a good way, like
- 7:28Speaker 1: in it just a natural, fun way, like it's it's
- 7:31Speaker 1: been awesome. But the assumption was you also being the producer.
- 7:35Speaker 1: You're also a social guy. So there were some things
- 7:38Speaker 1: that I'm thinking, all right, sure we'll be able to
- 7:39Speaker 1: do all this stuff, and I'm sure you think that
- 7:41Speaker 1: in your brain, but the amount of the responsibility you
- 7:44Speaker 1: have at the house right now, it's kind of like,
- 7:45Speaker 1: oh shit, we need to uh, we need to get
- 7:48Speaker 1: our ducks in the row.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we need to get our ducks in the row.
- 7:51Speaker 3: And I don't think that we anticipated the amount. I mean,
- 7:54Speaker 3: obviously you want to shoot for the stars, the aim
- 7:58Speaker 3: high with like hou's this going to perform?
- 8:00Speaker 2: How's it gonna do?
- 8:01Speaker 3: But I from our conversations, unless I'm mistaken, I don't
- 8:05Speaker 3: think we fully anticipated the buy in of the comments
- 8:09Speaker 3: and the reach out and the dump the fucking voicemail
- 8:13Speaker 3: again because the voicemail is filled up and my personal
- 8:18Speaker 3: dms on the delivery night, just the amount of people
- 8:21Speaker 3: that are just like coming into my dms wishing Jill
- 8:25Speaker 3: and I good luck. I'm just like, dude, this is
- 8:27Speaker 3: overwhelming in the best way possible, but it's overwhelming. It's awesome. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:33Speaker 3: I don't think we anticipated that. Yeah, and you just
- 8:35Speaker 3: don't want to get caught, like, you know, chasing from behind.
- 8:38Speaker 3: It's like we had the example with bus and we've
- 8:41Speaker 3: had the example with standing up the locker room. It's like,
- 8:43Speaker 3: if we've identified that this could be something really fun,
- 8:46Speaker 3: it was really.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Cool for everybody, so you just gotta we got to
- 8:50Speaker 1: pour into it. Yeah, we gotta pour into it. But
- 8:52Speaker 1: appreciate everybody tuning in. This is a show where we
- 8:55Speaker 1: embrace fatherhood, the love, the suck, everything in between. Shout
- 9:00Speaker 1: out everybody getting their wive spot in. There's moms in
- 9:03Speaker 1: the comments and it juices me up. We had our
- 9:05Speaker 1: last female call in last week, which again, if you
- 9:07Speaker 1: want to call into our voicemail that is six oh one.
- 9:09Speaker 1: The Dad's whether you have a dad, loss a dad,
- 9:12Speaker 1: hack something to crack a cold one too, like a
- 9:15Speaker 1: positive moment, a tough moment, whether you want to remain
- 9:18Speaker 1: anonymous and just vent a little bit to the boys
- 9:20Speaker 1: six oh one The Dad's we do a little hotline
- 9:22Speaker 1: call in which we get to toward the end of
- 9:24Speaker 1: the episode, but again we talk our dad losses. We
- 9:27Speaker 1: talked great moments that we crack a cold one too,
- 9:30Speaker 1: a lesson quote or topic that we're kind of leaning
- 9:32Speaker 1: into and either struggling with or embracing. By no means,
- 9:36Speaker 1: is this show expert advice. We almost need to put
- 9:39Speaker 1: a disclaimer at the very front of the show some
- 9:41Speaker 1: like funny, little humorous that's saying we aren't experts.
- 9:44Speaker 2: This is not expert advice.
- 9:46Speaker 3: I was thinking about that in the shower and I
- 9:48Speaker 3: truly was like, we do need to do that, I
- 9:51Speaker 3: think to avoid some sort of lawsuit.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I we can make something like that. We could,
- 10:02Speaker 1: we could, Uh, we can make something fun. But all
- 10:04Speaker 1: of our channels on social media at for the Dad's Pod,
- 10:08Speaker 1: that's where you can follow us everywhere. And uh, look,
- 10:12Speaker 1: I'm juiced about Papa Team six, Papa Team six roll call.
- 10:16Speaker 1: We had a we had a comment that fired me
- 10:20Speaker 1: to fuck up the other day, right when the last
- 10:22Speaker 1: episode dropped. Within hours, I had a bj L down
- 10:28Speaker 1: south on YouTube. Papa Team six shirt idea quote we
- 10:34Speaker 1: ride at dawn with a lawnmower and some fresh grass
- 10:37Speaker 1: getting slung.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Just that idea.
- 10:39Speaker 1: The detail that you can have in some of these
- 10:41Speaker 1: Papa Team six shirts, whether we have like a little
- 10:44Speaker 1: patch that could go on the hat. Maybe there's a
- 10:46Speaker 1: patch or something that we can do on the shirt.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Maybe there's levels. Yep, because it's it's it's been, We've
- 10:52Speaker 1: had a we've had good laughs talking through Papa Team six.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Seemen Team six.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Seed Team six is incredible.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Semen Team six might just be for the the singles
- 11:02Speaker 1: out there. It might just be the guys who just
- 11:04Speaker 1: aren't dads yet and maybe the guys who are trying,
- 11:07Speaker 1: maybe they're part of Seed Team six.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Seed Team six.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I to quickly define, to break it down, Semen Team
- 11:17Speaker 3: six is.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Dad vibes, but not a dad, not a dad, but
- 11:22Speaker 2: he's fucking You're throwing leg, you're throwing lead. You're Semen
- 11:26Speaker 2: Team six.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Yeah, you're healthy, You're healthy, You're healthy. Yeah, you're a
- 11:31Speaker 3: you're a red blooded American boy.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Seed Team six.
- 11:36Speaker 3: You are actively in recruitment of Papa Team six.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yes, you are trying to become a Papa Seal. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 1: you're You're at Buds. Yeah, you're at Buds. You're at Buds,
- 11:49Speaker 1: You're in the You're in the Seed Academy.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, I the amount of size Every single time
- 11:57Speaker 3: you bring up Semen Team six, I legitimately dude, Semen
- 12:01Speaker 3: team And there are people in the comments that are like,
- 12:04Speaker 3: not a dad.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Just Semen Team six. I'm a huge fan. Yeah, and
- 12:09Speaker 2: I love it.
- 12:09Speaker 3: It's like the most casual way to be like sexually active, healthy, healthy.
- 12:16Speaker 3: It's incredible. It's incredible.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I don't want to go down this path. But if
- 12:23Speaker 1: a creative, funny, humorous female mom wife out there was
- 12:29Speaker 1: to create another whatever their Team six.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Would be, please please please.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Don't hesitate that have a little bit of fun comments.
- 12:35Speaker 1: We won't try to have some fun the moms.
- 12:38Speaker 3: The moms can very much join the regiments. Yeah, we're
- 12:42Speaker 3: building an rmy we are. One of my favorite comments,
- 12:46Speaker 3: and I wish i'd screenshot it was uh Sherman's left
- 12:51Speaker 3: on a recliner. Definitely didn't get his couch badge.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I just love the love I saw that too.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Yes, love the idea of earning your badge, like being
- 13:00Speaker 1: on the couch.
- 13:01Speaker 2: You wouldn't have it.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I wouldn't have my couch badge, and I'd like hand up.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I did not earn that couch badge. And I don't
- 13:07Speaker 3: know if we talked about I just want to I
- 13:10Speaker 3: want to clarify something because there was a lot of
- 13:13Speaker 3: comments on that quote tweet that we put up on Instagram,
- 13:17Speaker 3: and I want to run this by you because I
- 13:19Speaker 3: want to be like, you're my accountabil accountabil of buddy.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Yes, you're mine. Thank you. That makes me happy. What
- 13:28Speaker 2: is it? I know I'm trying to I'm trying to
- 13:31Speaker 2: butter you up because I feel like I'm going to
- 13:33Speaker 2: disappoint you.
- 13:34Speaker 3: The couch in the root so delivery room had the recliner.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Then we went to like the post delivery room.
- 13:41Speaker 2: That's where you slept on the couch. That's where I
- 13:42Speaker 2: slept on the couch.
- 13:43Speaker 3: But what I didn't emphasize in the episode I went
- 13:46Speaker 3: back to watch the episode, is that that couch did
- 13:50Speaker 3: fold like horizontally, like it kind of hot dog bunned
- 13:54Speaker 3: out into a bed.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Damn it. It's just damn it.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Number one, I was already at that place mentally with you,
- 14:05Speaker 1: because you already I mean you had said, like I
- 14:07Speaker 1: slept on the couch in the deliver like the post
- 14:11Speaker 1: in the post delivery room. Yeah, you're like, I slept
- 14:14Speaker 1: on it for a day. So it's like, yeah, he
- 14:15Speaker 1: slept on the couch, but he didn't sleep on the
- 14:17Speaker 1: couch like in the delivery room like you were the
- 14:20Speaker 1: men where boys become men.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Where you earn your stripes, where you get initiated. You
- 14:25Speaker 2: get initiated on the hospital couch and there is no foldout.
- 14:29Speaker 1: It's you're on the hospital couch with whatever they give you.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Maybe you bring a.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Blanket from home. That's fine, But you're getting you're getting acclimated.
- 14:36Speaker 1: You're going through you know, when you start training camp
- 14:38Speaker 1: and coaches kind of preface it with a few acclamation
- 14:41Speaker 1: days to the heat before they back off you.
- 14:43Speaker 2: That's how you get.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Acclimated to the fires, being on that delivery room, that
- 14:47Speaker 1: delivery room couch. Now that I've understood that, not only
- 14:51Speaker 1: did you not sleep on the couch like at least
- 14:55Speaker 1: one day to earn some type of stripes, and hearing that,
- 14:58Speaker 1: it was like you had a fold out, you had
- 14:59Speaker 1: a bed, yeah, and it just feels fraudulent to me.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I am happy that you're a dad, but I personally
- 15:06Speaker 1: don't think you earned it.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I don't.
- 15:09Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I'm through pregnancy, through like actively trying to have a child,
- 15:15Speaker 1: going through all nine ten months with your wife. Now
- 15:17Speaker 1: you're in the trenches, and I still in my brain
- 15:19Speaker 1: since you didn't sleep on the couch in the hospital,
- 15:21Speaker 1: I still don't believe that you're a true dad.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I hate it because you are Will Compton, like you're
- 15:26Speaker 3: everything that is like earn it walk You're not a
- 15:30Speaker 3: walk on it Nebraska, but you know, free agent, undrafted.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Practice squad, practice qua practice squad. Sorry, sorry, sorry, I
- 15:38Speaker 2: went through buds. Yeah, went through buds. Went through buds
- 15:40Speaker 2: in football.
- 15:41Speaker 3: I'm shredor Sanders in college. Essentially, Hey, he's starting. I

- 15:52Speaker 3: Yeah, like I got treated like a five star nil Cinderella,
- 15:56Speaker 3: you did. I just want to apologize. I'm not that dude.
- 16:01Speaker 3: I take full advantage of it. Hell yeah, but I'm
- 16:05Speaker 3: not that guy deep down, and I apologize to the
- 16:07Speaker 3: dad community. Papa Team six, I feel fraudulent.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I want you to know that.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Maybe there's something you could do. Listen, you're still gonna
- 16:16Speaker 1: you're continuing to earn your Papa Team six stripes like
- 16:19Speaker 1: you were there because you're in the trenches. Yes, sir,
- 16:21Speaker 1: you pissed me off the other night because you kept
- 16:22Speaker 1: me up a little later than I wanted to.
- 16:25Speaker 2: We had.
- 16:27Speaker 1: For those out there listening and watching right now, it's
- 16:31Speaker 1: one of those nights. Feel a little frisky, feel a
- 16:33Speaker 1: little horny.
- 16:34Speaker 2: For the video game, real horny.
- 16:36Speaker 1: And Jared Demon, one of our guys and one of
- 16:39Speaker 1: our guys producers in the shop, Seemen Team six.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he's Seeming Team six.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a young cat right now, and he put

- 16:53Speaker 1: Pubg rip the parachute and we go hit a couple
- 16:57Speaker 1: of landing spots. Oh yeah, I've been in a good routine,

- 17:04Speaker 1: I'm honestly proud of at this moment in time. Yeah,
- 17:07Speaker 1: won like a two week heater, and so we get
- 17:11Speaker 1: on Shehrm gets on.
- 17:12Speaker 2: We're related. We're fired up. Papa Sherm. He's in the house.
- 17:16Speaker 3: I had a fire text that I put into the
- 17:18Speaker 3: grip text. They were like, I let him like talk
- 17:21Speaker 3: for fifteen minutes about gaming, and I just did a
- 17:24Speaker 3: little dot heard y'all need a fourth.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Yeah, He's like, I got the night shift. We're fired up.
- 17:33Speaker 1: We're fired up that Shehrm gets to get on. So
- 17:35Speaker 1: we're playing this video game. We're having a great time,
- 17:38Speaker 1: we're having fun. We die a couple of times. A
- 17:40Speaker 1: couple of those times we had to die because you
- 17:42Speaker 1: just died in the storm. Because Scarlett was acting up
- 17:44Speaker 1: a little bit. Yeah, hey, Scar's gonna keep interrupting this
- 17:48Speaker 1: video game right now. Put her on the headset. Put
- 17:50Speaker 1: her on the headset, let me talk to her, let
- 17:52Speaker 1: me talk dragon off with me.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 17:56Speaker 1: And Shirm finally got in a rhythm to where he
- 17:58Speaker 1: got Scarlet because we're, you know, we're playing. He's like, hey, guys,
- 18:02Speaker 1: I gotta take a I gotta go, I gotta I gotta,
- 18:04Speaker 1: I gotta step out. Scarlett, she's moving around. I gotta
- 18:06Speaker 1: change your diaper. I gotta get her going. Yeah, yah, Yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 1: and Schirm kept us up till one in the morning.
- 18:11Speaker 1: We wanted to get off, probably around what eleven thirty.
- 18:13Speaker 2: We were flor like.
- 18:14Speaker 1: You know, and I knew it in the back of
- 18:16Speaker 1: my head, like we did a lesson a few weeks
- 18:17Speaker 1: ago on this with the daily Dad.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Just go to bed, Just just go to bed.
- 18:22Speaker 1: And Shirm kept us up till one in the morning.
- 18:24Speaker 1: And I woke up the next morning. I want to say, Scottie,
- 18:29Speaker 1: she Charle was in there. Uh, we were in the
- 18:31Speaker 1: bed feeding her, Charles feeding her, like six forty five,
- 18:34Speaker 1: and I woke up and my first thought was I
- 18:38Speaker 1: was so pissed off at Shirman that he kept me
- 18:39Speaker 1: up till one in the morning because I didn't wake up.
- 18:41Speaker 2: I didn't work out. That's snowballs.
- 18:44Speaker 3: What times you wake up there?
- 18:46Speaker 1: Six forty five And I'm just like laying in bed
- 18:48Speaker 1: and you know you're you're tired, because like, well, I
- 18:50Speaker 1: did this to myself.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I chose I chose this.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I allowed the excitement of you me like knowing
- 18:58Speaker 1: you know you're up for the next the next couple hours,
- 19:00Speaker 1: you're on you're on baby duty. Yeah, And I was
- 19:03Speaker 1: kind of just weirdly fired up about it. But we
- 19:05Speaker 1: didn't get a chicken dinner. We didn't win.
- 19:07Speaker 2: We didn't win.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Kept us on well, I kept like falling to the
- 19:10Speaker 1: excitement of I'm gonna stay on because I'm gonna because
- 19:13Speaker 1: sum's on. You want to take advantage of the moment,
- 19:14Speaker 1: have fun with the boy.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and we were playing super well. Shout out to
- 19:17Speaker 3: tommy childhood friend of uh the Demon, who was our
- 19:22Speaker 3: fourth that night. And before anybody would die in the game,
- 19:27Speaker 3: I knew I had will when I kept on doing
- 19:30Speaker 3: the bid of and I can't play one more Yeah,
- 19:33Speaker 3: I mean there's no.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Wed, so irresponsible to play one more game.

- 21:38Speaker 1: from Kenny Anderson. This is awesome for dad's I have
- 21:41Speaker 1: three kids of my own, seven, six and two. Hearing
- 21:43Speaker 1: will story at the pool and setting the tone with
- 21:45Speaker 1: your daughter rings so true. You have to show the
- 21:47Speaker 1: children that their behavior at times is not acceptable. Then
- 21:51Speaker 1: second after that, your kids say something so loving to you,
- 21:54Speaker 1: making you forget all about it. Hashtag fatherhood, hashtag for
- 21:57Speaker 1: the dad's pot. Another one, because we got to keep
- 22:01Speaker 1: this under an hour.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Billy Bourbon on Instagram says, sure looks like he drives
- 22:05Speaker 3: a super u out back.

- 22:14Speaker 2: Looks like a dad.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Oh I love that comment. I love that comment. I'm
- 22:17Speaker 3: either getting that or I'm getting like fifth grade pe
- 22:20Speaker 3: teacher and Fat Stafford. I honestly love the Fat Stafford jokes. Yeah,
- 22:29Speaker 3: Matt Stafford, mega dad, he's got like five kids all
- 22:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, he might.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Be keen girl dad. Oh King Philip Rivers. Now Philip
- 22:40Speaker 1: Rivers got about all girls eight or nine? No, no, no, no, no,
- 22:45Speaker 1: he's got a lot of He's got a lot of
- 22:47Speaker 1: boys mixed in there.

- 22:50Speaker 2: has a roster.
- 22:51Speaker 3: He truly almost the starting Well that would be eleven
- 22:54Speaker 3: if he had nine with he and his wife.

- 23:15Speaker 3: car ride.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Let's go so female right here? A mom, it's a
- 23:23Speaker 2: tough one.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Oh no, it's probably shortened up. Okay, uh d big Gardini.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Oh the name was a tough one. Yeah, okay. Three eighty.
- 23:34Speaker 1: My labor nurse had a recliner brought into my room
- 23:38Speaker 1: for my husband. Initially I thought it was for me.
- 23:42Speaker 1: My labor was so long that she felt sorry for him.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Great example of how you earned the recliner after after
- 23:51Speaker 1: a long military tour in the delivery room, you just
- 23:54Speaker 1: had one waiting for you.
- 23:55Speaker 3: I was gonna, I know, I was gonna try and
- 23:57Speaker 3: spend that in like, hey, I didn't even ask for
- 23:59Speaker 3: a recline. It was just there. But yeah true. H
- 24:04Speaker 3: J Joe Roska, single dad of nine year old twin girls.

- 25:02Speaker 1: eleven ninety five or a love He actually throws out
- 25:05Speaker 1: a dad hack. Dad hack would be a sleepsack and
- 25:08Speaker 1: listen to this one schirma. It's basically a swaddle without
- 25:11Speaker 1: going through the motions. If you can use a zipper,
- 25:14Speaker 1: you're good. It is still snug around the tummy and chest. Also,
- 25:17Speaker 1: once they get bigger and start rolling over, they make
- 25:20Speaker 1: some where you can put their arms out and it's
- 25:22Speaker 1: still be swaddled, but have the freedom to move around.
- 25:25Speaker 2: That's big. That's big. Yeah, that's huge. Do you have
- 25:27Speaker 2: a zipper one yet? I do?
- 25:29Speaker 3: The only problem is Scarlett is just too small, right, right,
- 25:33Speaker 3: right right?
- 25:33Speaker 1: I was gonna say correct, yeah, yeah, you're right because
- 25:35Speaker 1: we were doing the same thing. Like you're in such
- 25:37Speaker 1: a swallow game because you're trying to mimic the womb
- 25:39Speaker 1: and everything else and staying in tight and close.
- 25:41Speaker 2: But as she gets a little bit bigger.
- 25:43Speaker 1: When you get the ones that just it's velcrows to
- 25:45Speaker 1: where you're not sitting there, you know. An you change her,
- 25:48Speaker 1: you get her rocked, yep, you feed her, and then
- 25:51Speaker 1: you're about to put her down and you hear the.
- 25:57Speaker 3: That's literally what it sounds like, chef, true, what it
- 26:00Speaker 3: sounds like.
- 26:01Speaker 1: You just hear running through their little body and you're like, god,
- 26:03Speaker 1: damn it, I.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Just got you swallowed you just got to sleep.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Now, I'm gonna have to change it because of not
- 26:08Speaker 1: this guilt everything dipe or you know, diaper rash, so
- 26:12Speaker 1: you got to take him out of the swaddle. However,
- 26:14Speaker 1: when you get into the velcro Zipper game, Massive Massive
- 26:18Speaker 1: Dad Act, Massive tip.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Out there, I can't bother chef.
- 26:22Speaker 3: It truly is like there is a twelve inch sub
- 26:24Speaker 3: in their diaper and they just turned on a Millie
- 26:27Speaker 3: and it's just yeah, you like field the vibrations you.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Talking about low Wayne.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Ame I, that's truly what they do to you.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Shit boom, we like that fun we do.
- 26:46Speaker 3: We like that last one for me, Uh, this is
- 26:49Speaker 3: a tough one. I'm gonna give it my best shot.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Kyle Duke Sich Bucksie Kyle Bucksitch three eight, five to one.
- 26:58Speaker 3: I'm not a dad yet, but you know I'm pop
- 27:01Speaker 3: a Team six. Well, technically you'd be semen teach teams,
- 27:04Speaker 3: not to correct.
- 27:05Speaker 1: We're giving it levels people, you know, we gotta we
- 27:07Speaker 1: gotta teach and we gotta educate.
- 27:08Speaker 2: And we're growing too as this podcast grows.
- 27:11Speaker 3: So you are officially seeming Team six Kyle, just so
- 27:14Speaker 3: you know, But Kyle is subscriber number fifty seven on
- 27:18Speaker 3: the new channel. Let's keep it under an hour.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Boys, keep it under an hour. That's a good point.
- 27:23Speaker 1: We do have to keep this under an hour, so
- 27:24Speaker 1: we'll start getting into our dad losses. However, very fired up.
- 27:27Speaker 1: There's a theme here. He's a young cat. He subscribed.
- 27:30Speaker 1: It's the boomers, the actual fathers or the wives, like
- 27:33Speaker 1: the moms and wives out here listening and your your
- 27:36Speaker 1: husband enjoys the show. Make sure on his phone he's
- 27:39Speaker 1: also subscribed.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Yes, people might be watching on their TV right now.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Maybe they're subscribed to watching on TV, or maybe they
- 27:46Speaker 1: just go to YouTube and type it in. But it
- 27:47Speaker 1: would do the boys as solid if you could. I
- 27:50Speaker 1: don't know the TV game, like, if you can subscribe
- 27:53Speaker 1: on TV, I'm sure you can. Yeah, make sure you're
- 27:55Speaker 1: subscribed on TV. But just know you have two other
- 27:58Speaker 1: two other weapons next to you. You're phone in her
- 28:01Speaker 1: phone where you can pull it out and just throw
- 28:03Speaker 1: in a nice little subscription subscription for the boys.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Teach the kiddos how to subscribe. Teach the kid it's
- 28:08Speaker 2: a little learning classon teach the kids. Hey this how
- 28:11Speaker 2: you subscribe on YouTube? Turn off Miss Rachel and put
- 28:15Speaker 2: us on not experts ball ball. Now we're gonna switch.
- 28:21Speaker 1: This seem a deep six Papa.
- 28:25Speaker 2: That means fucking honey, what do you have on it?
- 28:28Speaker 4: There?
- 28:29Speaker 3: It's a kid show, honey, it's called for the dads.
- 28:32Speaker 3: I'm on dad duty right now. Oh my god, dad losses.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Let's dive in. You have a dad loss. Do you
- 28:40Speaker 1: want me to lead? Would you like to go?
- 28:42Speaker 2: I would love to go. Go. Okay, my dad loss is.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Last night.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Scarlett took me for the ringer at two, I'd say
- 28:52Speaker 3: one thirty two am. We got a changer before the
- 28:57Speaker 3: feeding time, right before I'm about to change, So it's
- 29:00Speaker 3: like one thirty. I start at one thirty for all
- 29:02Speaker 3: the dads there to have her changed and ready for
- 29:06Speaker 3: bottle and mouth by like one. So then she's feeding,
- 29:11Speaker 3: yeah at two, and that's coming from the wife feet,
- 29:15Speaker 3: that's coming from mom. So I pick her up to
- 29:18Speaker 3: go change her diaper. As soon as I pick her up.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Hey, that was perfect leading.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Good leading up because the moon, yeah, the the mom part,
- 29:30Speaker 1: the graveling noise you made was perfect.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and just this is terrible radio. So I'll
- 29:36Speaker 3: describe it as I'm doing it. Just legs out so
- 29:39Speaker 3: straight arms out so straight and just head back and
- 29:43Speaker 3: just the angriest face and then the MC like a
- 29:47Speaker 3: little Derek Zulander face, and then you just hear the
- 29:53Speaker 3: and I'm just feeling the vibration. So I'm like, Okay,
- 29:55Speaker 3: that's great because.
- 29:56Speaker 2: I was already going to change her. That's great.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Good job, Scarlett. Take her to the changing table. Do
- 30:01Speaker 3: do do do do? Get that done? All right, let's
- 30:03Speaker 3: start feeding. Put bottle in, She's destroying it. She's really
- 30:08Speaker 3: starting to eat now, like really starts and she does
- 30:13Speaker 3: like the big ye on, like the like I talked
- 30:17Speaker 3: about it last week, and then just shove it in
- 30:18Speaker 3: there and then she's going crazy on it. And then
- 30:22Speaker 3: right when I start feeding her again, just a massive one.
- 30:28Speaker 3: The second one was huge, So I'm like, all right,
- 30:32Speaker 3: finished feeding her and then I'm gonna change her changer.
- 30:36Speaker 3: This is my last so I'm the night shift, but
- 30:38Speaker 3: my night shift ends at two because then she's not
- 30:42Speaker 3: gonna feed again until five am.
- 30:45Speaker 2: So I'm so excited to get bed. I'm tired.
- 30:48Speaker 3: I know that I have this today, so I'm like,
- 30:50Speaker 3: I'm gonna get some good z's right after I get
- 30:53Speaker 3: done changing her. I'm stepping over the doggie gate that
- 30:57Speaker 3: we have outside of the nursery because we don't want
- 30:59Speaker 3: to accidents on the new chair, right, the new chair
- 31:02Speaker 3: provided by Will shout out as they're little dude, it's
- 31:05Speaker 3: so great, nice little rocker. I'm literally mid over the
- 31:10Speaker 3: little baby gate dog gate and she hit me with
- 31:12Speaker 3: the third one.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Little no shit. I swear to god it was a
- 31:20Speaker 2: but I honestly it was a dad lost because.
- 31:22Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my god, I'm so tired and I
- 31:25Speaker 3: gotta go change her again. But I was honestly kind
- 31:28Speaker 3: of proud of her, Like I kind of thought it
- 31:29Speaker 3: was sick. I was like, you're really You're really about it, Scarlet,
- 31:35Speaker 3: Like you're like that.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a. Yeah, that's a. It's a tough one
- 31:39Speaker 1: to handle. In the moment, you're just like, god, damn,
- 31:42Speaker 1: you don't what the hell you can get? I know
- 31:44Speaker 1: it's milk and beating it to you.
- 31:47Speaker 2: It was crazy.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Because I was gonna catch you in like, you know,
- 31:50Speaker 1: I thought you might say she wasn't gonna go back
- 31:53Speaker 1: to sleep yet, because a great move always is when
- 31:55Speaker 1: they're shitting like mid bottle. You used to get the
- 31:58Speaker 1: bottle out of their mouth and change them so that
- 32:00Speaker 1: way they're finishing on the bottle as they doze off
- 32:02Speaker 1: and go back, because they'll be falling asleep on you,
- 32:04Speaker 1: of course, of course. But man, that third one there,
- 32:06Speaker 1: there would have been no playbook for that.
- 32:08Speaker 2: There's no playbook, no play But because she's also milk
- 32:11Speaker 2: drunk as fuck on that third one, I mean she
- 32:14Speaker 2: truly like arms were to the side, eyes are like this,
- 32:17Speaker 2: and I just go over that baby gate and I
- 32:19Speaker 2: guess that extra little oomph as I'm lifting her up.
- 32:22Speaker 2: It truly just it was legendary, though still a dad loss,
- 32:29Speaker 2: but legendary performance. Scarlett.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Great story, Yeah, great story. That's a that's a that's
- 32:33Speaker 1: a that's the first couple of weeks. That's an infant
- 32:36Speaker 1: toddlers or infant toler So that's a good infant story
- 32:39Speaker 1: right there. Yeah yeah, yeah, So I feel like all
- 32:41Speaker 1: the dad's empathized with that one where they're just shitting now,
- 32:43Speaker 1: So why are you choosing out of ship. You're really
- 32:45Speaker 1: putting your dad through some adversity right now. I'm gonna
- 32:48Speaker 1: have to take this out on your mother later.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I can't do it anymore. She just keeps shitting in
- 32:56Speaker 2: my arms.
- 33:01Speaker 3: I just know, like Boston people or people from the door,
- 33:04Speaker 3: they're like, what the fuck. Whenever they're a bad dad,
- 33:06Speaker 3: they sound like me, what the fuck?
- 33:09Speaker 2: Wild you change her? No, it's past two am and
- 33:12Speaker 2: you're ada. My shift's done. Yeah, shif's done. I left
- 33:15Speaker 2: her up there for you.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Yeah you could wake up.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Don't leave her up there, don't. Yeah, don't leave the
- 33:20Speaker 1: baby alone. Don't leave the baby alone. Would never My
- 33:24Speaker 1: dad losses not being able to hit a little squishy
- 33:29Speaker 1: ball for volleyball. My daughter and Rue, she was excited about.
- 33:33Speaker 1: We have these little squishy balls and she wants she
- 33:34Speaker 1: calls it bang ball. She wants to play bang ball.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Yeah to our our nanny. She used to be uh,
- 33:40Speaker 2: she was a volleyball player in college. So she's kind
- 33:42Speaker 2: of teaching her how to hit it, but she wants
- 33:44Speaker 2: mom and dad to get involved.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we can hit We can hit some vollies.
- 33:47Speaker 2: We can volley this ball around.
- 33:48Speaker 1: But we get into a situation where Rue, she's very particular.
- 33:53Speaker 1: She wants Ru's gonna toss it to Augie, Oggie's gonna
- 33:58Speaker 1: bump it to me. I'm gonna bump it to mom,
- 34:01Speaker 1: and Mom's gonna bump it to Rue and Ru's gonna
- 34:03Speaker 1: be able to hit it awesome because Augie's like throwing
- 34:06Speaker 1: it to her and she's like learning to hit it
- 34:07Speaker 1: and she's like fired up to hit it, but she
- 34:09Speaker 1: wants it to go all the way around in a circle.
- 34:12Speaker 1: It's like, sweetheart, listen, I can vully, I can bump,
- 34:14Speaker 1: but accuracy could be a problem with all of us
- 34:17Speaker 1: sitting here in a small space with a little school.
- 34:19Speaker 1: She it's like a little stuffed ball. But she wants
- 34:22Speaker 1: it done. And Augie had hit it over to me,
- 34:26Speaker 1: and I'm trying to hit it over to mom. Sometimes
- 34:28Speaker 1: I'm able to do it, sometimes I'm not. But when
- 34:31Speaker 1: it doesn't go correctly, she's losing her mind that we
- 34:35Speaker 1: can't get it right.
- 34:36Speaker 2: I want that no, Dad, that you gotta hit the mama.
- 34:39Speaker 2: I'm trying to hit it to mama. What do you
- 34:40Speaker 2: want me to do? This game is hard?
- 34:44Speaker 3: And would she actually getting mad?
- 34:46Speaker 5: Oh?
- 34:46Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, this this chick. She's a perfectionist. She's competitive.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I think she's gonna be a competitive monster.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Bro. She's like her dad.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Yeah, mom too, Mom's competitive too, But right now that
- 35:01Speaker 1: competitive those competitive juices aren't harnessed.
- 35:03Speaker 2: I'm talking.
- 35:04Speaker 1: She melts down if shit doesn't go right when you're
- 35:06Speaker 1: like doing an activity, or she wants it to go
- 35:08Speaker 1: a certain way. No, I though it. I'm like, I
- 35:11Speaker 1: understand the game, sweet are you just don't know? Volleyball
- 35:14Speaker 1: is a tough game. The bang ball is a hard game.
- 35:16Speaker 1: People mess up all the time. We're not gonna get
- 35:18Speaker 1: it correct all the time. They're gonna go sideway. She
- 35:21Speaker 1: drops to the floor. She's sitting down, just one moment
- 35:26Speaker 1: to hit it to me, or say, we get all
- 35:27Speaker 1: the way around and hit it. The roof doesn't hit it.
- 35:32Speaker 1: She like sees in the air and has a slow
- 35:34Speaker 1: reaction to it. She's like, oh, why is it so hard?
- 35:35Speaker 2: It's the sweetheart, this is a hard game. We're up
- 35:39Speaker 2: here to have fun. Can we just have fun trying
- 35:41Speaker 2: to hit the ball? Yeah, she couldn't do it, so
- 35:44Speaker 2: that sounds like a dad loss.
- 35:45Speaker 1: However, swinging it in the crack a cold one, which,
- 35:48Speaker 1: by the way, crack a cold one is brought to

- 36:24Speaker 2: You gotta go back home. God damn buddy. I'm like
- 36:26Speaker 2: jittery over here from the cold brew and the espresso shot.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah. Uh.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Crack a Cold One is for the moments we like
- 36:32Speaker 1: to celebrate, spinning off the Dad loss. My crack a
- 36:35Speaker 1: Cold one is I think I got a competitive little psychopath.
- 36:40Speaker 2: That's good. It fires me up.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yesterday, we're kind of going back and forth, and
- 36:44Speaker 1: I'm more of like defending sweetheart.
- 36:46Speaker 2: It's tough. I can't just hit it.
- 36:49Speaker 1: However, it fires me up. Charles tries to get her,
- 36:53Speaker 1: you know, you try to get him corrected when they're
- 36:55Speaker 1: just melting down over the dumbest shit. But I met
- 36:57Speaker 1: I shouted out this game a couple episodes ago. But
- 37:00Speaker 1: Sharon Sparkle, Unicorns m or you got your unicorn friends.
- 37:05Speaker 1: You're trying to take down the troll who you're trying
- 37:08Speaker 1: to get. Everybody's trying to get their board of gyms
- 37:10Speaker 1: filled up before the troll gets his bag of gyms
- 37:13Speaker 1: filled up. It's a fun little multiplayer game to where
- 37:16Speaker 1: you and your kids or your wife four it's like
- 37:19Speaker 1: four or five people can play and you're all trying
- 37:21Speaker 1: to take down the troll. So you're all on the
- 37:23Speaker 1: same team. Trying to say there's no like one winner.
- 37:25Speaker 1: It's either the troll wins or the team wins. And
- 37:27Speaker 1: don't pull the redstone. Don't pull the red stone. Then
- 37:31Speaker 1: you have to put a car and you might have
- 37:32Speaker 1: to give you might have to give one to the troll,
- 37:34Speaker 1: or you give one, you take one out of your
- 37:36Speaker 1: bag and put it in the bag.
- 37:38Speaker 2: You're trying to take down the troll. And there's some
- 37:40Speaker 2: good parody. It's it.
- 37:42Speaker 1: This is an even game here. It's not set up
- 37:44Speaker 1: to where the team always wins. Troll gets his licks
- 37:47Speaker 1: in sometimes more often on days than not.
- 37:50Speaker 2: That's good. It's good. It's a great game. Yeah, and
- 37:53Speaker 2: it's one there too. If you're a dad watching.
- 37:54Speaker 1: If you're a mom watching, like you know, when you're
- 37:56Speaker 1: doing these activities and your kid wants you to do something,
- 37:58Speaker 1: you're just like, oh god, like you know, you want.
- 38:01Speaker 2: To play the memory game. Actually the memory game is
- 38:03Speaker 2: kind of fun. I do love the Memory game. Yes,
- 38:05Speaker 2: it's what I'm thinking.
- 38:07Speaker 1: What's the what's the one game? Like a pretty pretty princess?
- 38:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, we had a role on that where
- 38:12Speaker 1: you just kind of spin the thing and you just
- 38:14Speaker 1: picked jewelry and he dresses you up. Yeah, and you
- 38:16Speaker 1: kind of get dressed up and then if you have
- 38:18Speaker 1: the crown, you're the winner. But the crown can get
- 38:20Speaker 1: taken away, and she'd be pissed if I land on
- 38:22Speaker 1: the crown. I'm like, sweetheart, that is gonna get yeah.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Because apparently when Francis Ellis came in town, he was
- 38:26Speaker 3: kind of killing.
- 38:27Speaker 2: It Francis and Rude did not loved him.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Rude did not like having to give away
- 38:33Speaker 1: the crown. If she had the crown, it's all about
- 38:34Speaker 1: the crown. You're wearing necklace's jewelry. But there's no like,
- 38:37Speaker 1: you know, when you're an adult and you love playing
- 38:40Speaker 1: board games or you love a competitive spirit. There's no
- 38:42Speaker 1: like a true way of winning. Yeah, you know what
- 38:44Speaker 1: I mean. It's not like a fun game to play.
- 38:46Speaker 1: This one is like you can you can feel, you
- 38:49Speaker 1: can feel excited. Yeah, let's play some Uh, let's play
- 38:52Speaker 1: Sharon Sparkle Unicorns.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Yea, let's play it. And Buddy, we when we lose.
- 38:58Speaker 1: To the troll, I'm tall, can roo can't take it, crying,
- 39:04Speaker 1: melts down.
- 39:06Speaker 2: We gotta let it. Hey, the Troll's gonna win. It's okay.
- 39:08Speaker 1: We love the troll won this game. She takes it
- 39:11Speaker 1: so serious. She tries cheating. She tries cheating like if
- 39:17Speaker 1: it's like Psycho bro and I love it. It makes
- 39:21Speaker 1: me feel alive. I'm like, oh, I might have a
- 39:23Speaker 1: little winner on our hands, because it might be like
- 39:26Speaker 1: her turn and say say her her unicorn is filled
- 39:30Speaker 1: up and she's trying to fill out dad Dad's her
- 39:31Speaker 1: mama's and she rolls with three and the troll might
- 39:34Speaker 1: have two left and we might have one left each,
- 39:38Speaker 1: and it's like, oh, okay, Rue, like you can you
- 39:40Speaker 1: can win.
- 39:41Speaker 2: This's the game here, the big roll, big role.
- 39:43Speaker 1: She might pull one out and it could be the troll,
- 39:46Speaker 1: Like I don't have the color. My colors are filled out,
- 39:48Speaker 1: why Charles's colors are filled out.
- 39:50Speaker 2: So she has to give the color to the troll.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Couse, Trol takes on all colors because she's got to
- 39:55Speaker 1: get a specific one for us, okay, and we got
- 39:59Speaker 1: to put it on the troll. And she's like, you know,
- 40:01Speaker 1: you start seeing her face and then it's like, draw
- 40:03Speaker 1: another one. And as she's drawing another one, she like
- 40:05Speaker 1: she like looks in or like you can't look and
- 40:07Speaker 1: her hand's already going in, so she just like looks
- 40:09Speaker 1: up at us and grabs and kind of pulls out
- 40:11Speaker 1: one that we know, but shes got like a like
- 40:13Speaker 1: a little like weird smile, not like a full smile
- 40:16Speaker 1: of excitement, kind of like yeah, I looked and picked
- 40:18Speaker 1: this one up. Yeah yeah, troll, Yeah one time we
- 40:23Speaker 1: like the first time it happened.
- 40:24Speaker 2: This is a while back.
- 40:25Speaker 1: You kind of celebrated and let her do it and
- 40:27Speaker 1: then kind of talk about, sweetheart, you have to keep
- 40:28Speaker 1: your eyes up. You can't look bud it for like, sweetheart,
- 40:31Speaker 1: you cheated, Like you gotta put that one back, like
- 40:33Speaker 1: draw another one, and she kind of fights you. But
- 40:35Speaker 1: then she does that when troll wins, and it's just
- 40:37Speaker 1: full on meltdown. No Charles trying to talk her down.
- 40:41Speaker 1: But I'm kind of I'm weirdly smiling as she's crying,
- 40:45Speaker 1: and I'm like, I love.
- 40:46Speaker 2: That this pisses you off so much.
- 40:48Speaker 1: I love that you're in physical pain because you think
- 40:52Speaker 1: there's no beating this troll. That the troll won, because
- 40:55Speaker 1: I can work with that. We can work with that.
- 40:58Speaker 1: The troll got a red stone?
- 41:01Speaker 2: Good? Yeah? Good? Oh we lost to the troll three
- 41:05Speaker 2: times in a row today. Good?
- 41:07Speaker 3: That does neither bluesloone? You got a green one?
- 41:09Speaker 2: Good? Oh? Got caught cheating? Good? Put it back more
- 41:14Speaker 2: time to get better.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Cheeta is never prospered, They never lose, honey.
- 41:20Speaker 1: But uh that's my cracklical one. I think, uh yeah,
- 41:23Speaker 1: having a competitive kid.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, well you've been you've been playing the seeds
- 41:29Speaker 3: the little videos of thirty A where you were having
- 41:31Speaker 3: her run up the street.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:33Speaker 3: High knees, knees, get the arms going, Jesus god damn
- 41:39Speaker 3: it work to do. Yeah, that gets me stoked. My
- 41:45Speaker 3: only note is maybe a great future pinata for a birthday?
- 41:50Speaker 3: Is the troll really see what she's got dude, I
- 41:54Speaker 3: like that. Really see what she's got.
- 41:56Speaker 2: You go, oh honey, look who it is. Here's a
- 42:00Speaker 2: little baseball bat in the blindfold. Let's see what Let's
- 42:03Speaker 2: see what you could do.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you know how the troll would beat a sweet
- 42:06Speaker 1: eye and you'd be crying, you'd be in teased because
- 42:10Speaker 1: you couldn't physically reach into the game and choke this
- 42:13Speaker 1: motherfuck out. Now you can beat his ass right here.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Here's the bat, here's the stick.
- 42:18Speaker 2: If you don't got no legs, I don't think he's
- 42:20Speaker 2: gonna beat.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Go up to that troll, that benata and whisper in
- 42:25Speaker 1: his ear. Now you just can't leave. It's stuck with me.
- 42:32Speaker 2: You ain't going to whatere to day buddy hanging from
- 42:34Speaker 2: up there.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Oh my god, I would love to see that.
- 42:38Speaker 2: I hope I get.
- 42:39Speaker 3: I don't want to invite myself to his birthday party,
- 42:41Speaker 3: but I would if there's a troll pinata, I have
- 42:44Speaker 3: to be I.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Almost have to do that. Now that you brought up
- 42:46Speaker 1: that idea, you gotta do it, gotta do it.
- 42:48Speaker 2: She looks back at that day with the stick, and
- 42:50Speaker 2: you're just sitting there and you're like, for what he's
- 42:57Speaker 2: taking from this family.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Shout out what was the game that you It was
- 43:02Speaker 3: at her birthday party? You were filming her and you're like, hey, Rue,
- 43:04Speaker 3: if you aren't gonna take this serious, like we could
- 43:06Speaker 3: go home.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Uh what was it you said? I filmed it?
- 43:11Speaker 3: Yeah, you were filming her at a birthday party. I
- 43:13Speaker 3: remember I laughed so hard. You like pulled her off
- 43:15Speaker 3: to the side, and you're like, hey, if you're not
- 43:18Speaker 3: gonna take this serious, we can we can go.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, I kind of remember that. We were
- 43:22Speaker 1: at a Dicey's Pizza. I believe in the back area.
- 43:25Speaker 1: I forget what game or whatever is being played, but
- 43:27Speaker 1: she's so young. They're like having fun. I'm like, hey, sweet,
- 43:30Speaker 1: where are you gonna go play that game? You were
- 43:32Speaker 1: here to win.
- 43:34Speaker 3: I feel like all the joking, like it really did
- 43:37Speaker 3: plant the seeds because she didn't know dad as was joking.
- 43:39Speaker 3: So yeah, in her head, you're just molding her into
- 43:42Speaker 3: a winner.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Yeah, just like when you get another personality too, you
- 43:46Speaker 1: can tell that. You know, she's like a if things
- 43:50Speaker 1: go off killed, it's something that we need to we
- 43:51Speaker 1: need to get a right on. But she's very wants
- 43:55Speaker 1: to do everything on her own has to be perfect.
- 43:57Speaker 1: She's got that like perfectionist mindset that it could be
- 44:00Speaker 1: in Achilles heel at some point if she doesn't know
- 44:02Speaker 1: how to, her biggest enemy is gonna be her.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it's gonna be up.
- 44:05Speaker 3: It's gonna be a mind games. Just go Italian because
- 44:09Speaker 3: she's got she's got the jeans.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Yeah, she's got the jeans. Yeah.
- 44:14Speaker 3: I also, I want to let you know it's one
- 44:17Speaker 3: hundred percent the espresso like nitrous oxide that is running
- 44:22Speaker 3: through my body that keeps on making my eye twitch
- 44:24Speaker 3: whenever I'm looking at you.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Buddy, I got a night twitch too in my left eye. Wait, really,
- 44:28Speaker 2: keep feeling. We gotta keep it where we right the show.

- 46:19Speaker 3: cole one. I had a Okay, this is a fun
- 46:23Speaker 3: cracker cole one. I kind of had to, you know,
- 46:27Speaker 3: get creative with this one. But it was a very
- 46:29Speaker 3: fun moment. We've been hearing some noises up in our
- 46:32Speaker 3: ceiling for quite a while, but not super long of
- 46:38Speaker 3: what we thought was an animal on our roof.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Right, I remember being at the house and you were
- 46:42Speaker 2: bringing it up. Yes, well that little raccoon up there.
- 46:45Speaker 3: Yes, Okay, it's in a crawl space, yo, So above
- 46:50Speaker 3: our patio. It is like a separate crawl space from
- 46:54Speaker 3: like what would be our attic. So it's not the
- 46:56Speaker 3: true inside of our house. It's just like a decorative
- 46:59Speaker 3: little out crop that comes from our roof that somebody
- 47:04Speaker 3: just or some little animal varmint like ripped a hole
- 47:07Speaker 3: in it and they're getting up in there. So I
- 47:09Speaker 3: called the Wildlife Expert Team whatever to come set a trap.
- 47:15Speaker 2: Life Team six.
- 47:16Speaker 3: Wildlife Team six WT six came to set up a
- 47:20Speaker 3: trap on the roof. Shout out to them because since
- 47:23Speaker 3: they set up that trap, we haven't caught whatever it is.
- 47:26Speaker 3: But whatever it is is too scared to go into
- 47:29Speaker 3: that crass space now because of the trap, so like
- 47:31Speaker 3: it's kind of fixed itself. But the best part is
- 47:34Speaker 3: they came yesterday or no, they came on Wednesday to
- 47:39Speaker 3: come set up the trap, and I just hear this
- 47:41Speaker 3: doom doom, doom, doom doom knock on the door. Dogs
- 47:44Speaker 3: start going ballistic. Jill and her mom left me home
- 47:49Speaker 3: with Scarlet, just me and Scarlet. It was the very
- 47:52Speaker 3: first time that Scarlett had been left with just one
- 47:55Speaker 3: individual in her life. And who was she left with?
- 48:00Speaker 3: A shirt bob ashur bopa shurm. So I got that badge,
- 48:03Speaker 3: I got the solo babysitting back.
- 48:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I love. First time in her life.
- 48:07Speaker 3: First time in her life.
- 48:08Speaker 2: She's been left alone with one individual, first time, first
- 48:11Speaker 2: time in ten days, and it's this Idiotah and so
- 48:15Speaker 2: knock on the door.
- 48:16Speaker 3: So I'm oh, my gosh, she's getting all flustered because
- 48:19Speaker 3: the dogs are going crazy. I'm kicking the you know,
- 48:22Speaker 3: moving the dogs around with my feet. I get outside.
- 48:25Speaker 3: The wildlife guy was awesome. I think his name was Riley.
- 48:27Speaker 3: Shout out Riley. He instantly is, oh, my gosh, oh
- 48:31Speaker 3: I'm so sorry. He's like, I noticed the crane in
- 48:34Speaker 3: the front yard. I didn't even think because we have
- 48:36Speaker 3: one of those newborn cranes out front, but it was incredible.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Dude.
- 48:41Speaker 3: He's like talking me through setting the trap up, how
- 48:44Speaker 3: the process goes, and I'm just standing there, like bobbing
- 48:48Speaker 3: scarlet up and down in the front yard, just standing
- 48:50Speaker 3: out there and I'm kind of pointing and you know, oh, okay, yeah, yeah,
- 48:54Speaker 3: so there's an opening. I'm just like, dude, people driving by,
- 48:58Speaker 3: if they're looking, I fucking.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Look like a dad.
- 49:01Speaker 3: Like I'm holding my baby talking to this guy with
- 49:05Speaker 3: like knee high boots and he's got his hand on
- 49:08Speaker 3: his hip and we're both kind of like pointing at
- 49:10Speaker 3: the roof. And it was like my first time that
- 49:12Speaker 3: I really like, I felt like I looked like a dad. Yeah,
- 49:16Speaker 3: like not only am I the part, but like I
- 49:18Speaker 3: looked the part.
- 49:20Speaker 1: He looked the part in you're executing the part, and
- 49:22Speaker 1: I was executing the party. How did he let me
- 49:24Speaker 1: ask us? How did he address you?
- 49:26Speaker 2: He called me sir? Okay, did he salute? He did
- 49:29Speaker 2: not salute. He did not salute. Oh Papa sir eight six?
- 49:34Speaker 3: Oh my god, I didn't even put the two or
- 49:36Speaker 3: two together.
- 49:37Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 49:38Speaker 3: For the dads, Yeah, the hit podcast, Yeah that's me,
- 49:43Speaker 3: that's me. But uh yeah, he did call me sir,
- 49:47Speaker 3: but then we do. We chumped it up. He's got
- 49:50Speaker 3: sixteen month old. He was telling me about ASL. You
- 49:53Speaker 3: gotta get your started on ASL.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Man. I mean, they're they're telling us they're hungry or
- 49:58Speaker 2: they want something, blah blah blah. The ASL is the
- 50:00Speaker 2: sign language. Yeah yeah, more more, yeah, more and more
- 50:03Speaker 2: and more.
- 50:04Speaker 3: And he was like talking a big game about the ASL.
- 50:07Speaker 3: His daughter. I forget his daughter's name, but she's like
- 50:11Speaker 3: apparently just a savant with the a s L is
- 50:13Speaker 3: doing like full sentences.
- 50:14Speaker 1: As L good dad, hack, good dad, great dad act,
- 50:17Speaker 1: getting them in like I'll get done feeding Scottie.
- 50:20Speaker 2: The the the hell they call my why am I
- 50:23Speaker 2: getting that brain right now? Baby for soft food?
- 50:26Speaker 1: Yeah, the baby food pures pure, pure, there it is.
- 50:31Speaker 1: You get done feeding, and I'll be like all done
- 50:34Speaker 1: and try bag, sweetheart. You gotta you gotta, you gotta
- 50:36Speaker 1: elevate your voice.
- 50:36Speaker 2: I'm like all done.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Then I'll just get carried away with it because I'll
- 50:42Speaker 1: like intentionally tell her all done, like you know for
- 50:45Speaker 1: the hand signals we do with rudes, like more and
- 50:48Speaker 1: like what was a water?
- 50:50Speaker 2: All that different stuff? Uh huh poop going to the bathroom? Yeah,
- 50:55Speaker 2: and uh bullshit? Is that bullshit? That's bullshit? I like that.
- 51:00Speaker 2: That's a good one.
- 51:01Speaker 1: And uh, She's like we're starting to implement, you know,
- 51:03Speaker 1: it's it's Scotty time to start getting the all done stuff.
- 51:06Speaker 1: So I'm going all done, All done, Yeah, all done.
- 51:14Speaker 1: You gotta elevate your voice. I'm like, oh done, Like
- 51:19Speaker 1: lean into her face.
- 51:20Speaker 2: All done. That good sweetheart.
- 51:24Speaker 3: That fucking door right.
- 51:25Speaker 2: And then Scotty just be sitting there looking at me.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Like, oh, did all done?
- 51:33Speaker 2: That's incredible?
- 51:34Speaker 3: Did she mean go up an octave or was she
- 51:36Speaker 3: talking volume?
- 51:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 51:37Speaker 1: I mean she's laughing because I'm going all done. You know,
- 51:43Speaker 1: you just mess around at dinner time like you know,
- 51:45Speaker 1: you always does that taste good. You're doing all this
- 51:47Speaker 1: stuff back, this is the last one you're doing. Don't
- 51:50Speaker 1: forget the sign of laguage. I'll be like jall say,
- 51:53Speaker 1: you gotta see all done, with all done.
- 51:55Speaker 3: You're doing your standard.
- 51:59Speaker 2: All done. That's incredible. Yeah, but yeah, oh where it
- 52:04Speaker 2: was my crack of cole one?
- 52:05Speaker 4: So you're.
- 52:07Speaker 2: We're kicking it to the next thing. What is the
- 52:09Speaker 2: next thing? I forgot?
- 52:13Speaker 3: What are the odds?
- 52:14Speaker 2: Team six? The brain gets fleeting? The brain is fleeting.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Where I leave my keys?
- 52:18Speaker 3: We're only ten minutes in.
- 52:20Speaker 2: Only keep it under an keep it under an hour?
- 52:23Speaker 2: Keep it? What an hour? What is it? What's the
- 52:25Speaker 2: next thing? What are the odds? You got one? I
- 52:27Speaker 2: got one. Let's hear it. Okay, thank you, thank you?
- 52:31Speaker 3: Fandle shutouf andl What are the odds? This one is
- 52:33Speaker 3: a stretch, but it's hilarious.
- 52:35Speaker 2: Dude.
- 52:36Speaker 3: What are the odds that the little nickname that you
- 52:38Speaker 3: give your sweet child happens to be just the most
- 52:42Speaker 3: explicit term of all time? I saw this one on Instagram.
- 52:47Speaker 3: A buddy of mine actually went to Baylor with his wife.
- 52:50Speaker 3: Her name Sky his name is Nick. He storied on
- 52:53Speaker 3: his Instagram that his wife, unbeknownst to her, she was
- 52:57Speaker 3: not aware what boofing was. And if there's any boofers
- 53:03Speaker 3: out there or people that are boof adjacent and are
- 53:07Speaker 3: knowledgeable of this term.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Boof adjacent, do you know what boofing is or explain it.
- 53:14Speaker 2: We're gonna explain it to the.
- 53:16Speaker 3: Yeah, let's get a Webster's dictionary for PT six out there,
- 53:22Speaker 3: or a net Orban dictionary.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Which here's the AI overview. Boofing is a slang term
- 53:29Speaker 1: with a few different meanings that have evolved over time.
- 53:31Speaker 1: One meaning of boofing, popularized in the nineteen eighties, refers
- 53:35Speaker 1: to anal sex. This meaning is believed to have originated
- 53:39Speaker 1: from a shortened version of a more explicit term for
- 53:42Speaker 1: anal sex. References to this usage can be found in
- 53:45Speaker 1: the nineteen eighties popular culture, including music and film. In
- 53:48Speaker 1: the two thousands, another meaning of booffing became more common,
- 53:52Speaker 1: referring to the practice of inserting drugs or alcohol into
- 53:55Speaker 1: the rectum.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Of course.
- 53:57Speaker 1: This method is sometimes called butt chugging or plug and
- 54:00Speaker 1: is believed to produce a faster, more intense high due
- 54:04Speaker 1: to the rapid absorption of substances through the rectums blood vessels.
- 54:08Speaker 1: This method is reportedly employed for various substances, including method betamine.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Oh okay, all the drugs.
- 54:15Speaker 2: The meaning of y yeah.
- 54:18Speaker 1: The meaning of boofing gained significant intention during the twenty
- 54:21Speaker 1: eighteen Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Brett Cavana, as the
- 54:25Speaker 1: term appeared in Brett Kavanov.
- 54:29Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, Brett, who's that?
- 54:31Speaker 4: That was the.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Yeah, US Supreme Court, of course. Yeah yeah. He was
- 54:35Speaker 2: the one that was talking about how he had a
- 54:37Speaker 2: beer here and there.
- 54:39Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, yeah yeah. Additionally, in some circles, boofing can
- 54:43Speaker 1: refer to concealing contraband in the rectum, especially in prison
- 54:47Speaker 1: slang among dog lovers. It can also be a p
- 54:50Speaker 1: playful term for barking.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Oh you're just boffin. No, Wrigley, you're just boofing, waffle,
- 54:57Speaker 2: Stop boofing. Say a.
- 55:02Speaker 3: But uh, So Sky was calling her son Axel, her
- 55:08Speaker 3: little newborn boy, her little boofer.
- 55:11Speaker 1: Oh he's my little boofer, My little Boofer's my little boofer,
- 55:16Speaker 1: my little boofer.
- 55:17Speaker 3: And so she's doing that unbeknownst to dad.
- 55:20Speaker 5: Nick.
- 55:21Speaker 3: Nick comes home and here's her calling or sorry, comes
- 55:24Speaker 3: home and like four year old daughter is going around
- 55:28Speaker 3: the house and going, oh, actually.
- 55:30Speaker 2: You little boofer, you little boofy boofer.
- 55:34Speaker 3: And they're just throwing it around and he had to quickly.
- 55:37Speaker 3: He did the same thing as you. He pulled out
- 55:39Speaker 3: the AI definition. It was like, honey, you got a
- 55:42Speaker 3: chill on theo this one is what are we doing?
- 55:46Speaker 3: And she had no idea her He like restorted her
- 55:48Speaker 3: story and that's where I saw it was so funny.
- 55:52Speaker 2: Dude, get the comments going.
- 55:53Speaker 1: If you have a funny little nickname, mine's not too.
- 55:56Speaker 1: It's like, uh booger nugget, m being mm my little rubel,
- 56:04Speaker 1: my little bell.
- 56:06Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's Cyrillian bell, is her.
- 56:08Speaker 1: Yea Cerulian bell. Yeah, the ocean waters, the blue Cerulian waters.
- 56:14Speaker 2: Dude, it was sick. Whenever charl came up with that name.
- 56:18Speaker 1: She knew she would go back and forth with me
- 56:19Speaker 1: because I was like, you know, I don't want it
- 56:21Speaker 1: to be crazy blah blah. Whenever she said Cerulian, I
- 56:24Speaker 1: was like, I actually don't hate that.
- 56:25Speaker 2: Call her roof for short.
- 56:27Speaker 1: And when we were kind of going over if that
- 56:28Speaker 1: was gonna be your name or not, uh, Cerulian Bell
- 56:32Speaker 1: when we went.
- 56:33Speaker 2: On our when we went on our money our honeymoon
- 56:36Speaker 2: where she was conceived.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Oh really because as I dropped in maybe as I
- 56:43Speaker 1: dropped in seeming Team six on the honeymoon and got
- 56:47Speaker 1: it right. That first round we were in uh, we
- 56:51Speaker 1: were in Bora, Bora, and when we were going over
- 56:53Speaker 1: so obviously fast forward, we're kind of coming up with names.
- 56:56Speaker 1: We like Cerulian calling her Roof for short, and we
- 56:58Speaker 1: were kind of sitting on it the spot in bor
- 57:02Speaker 1: Bora reached out to Charro seeing if they could use
- 57:06Speaker 1: her photo. She like did this photo where she was
- 57:08Speaker 1: like laying in the water and kind of like you know,
- 57:11Speaker 1: her back on the water and you got the views
- 57:13Speaker 1: behind it in Borbora at their hotel, I did a
- 57:17Speaker 1: remake of the photo where I'm just face down, button naked,
- 57:23Speaker 1: I'll shoot to you. And but they asked her, they
- 57:27Speaker 1: requested if they could use her photo for promotion. She
- 57:31Speaker 1: I was like yeah, sure, So they promoted it like
- 57:32Speaker 1: the next air within the week and it was like
- 57:34Speaker 1: come enjoy the Cerulian waters.
- 57:36Speaker 2: Of bor Bora.
- 57:37Speaker 1: They didn't know that we were thinking about naming rooms.
- 57:40Speaker 1: That's crazy, so it was like that moment was like, oh,
- 57:42Speaker 1: we have to name her Serulian.
- 57:44Speaker 2: It was like, I love that. Y'all were talking names
- 57:47Speaker 2: that quickly too. Yeah, I did. I can't remember when.
- 57:51Speaker 1: I mean, you know, when you once you get pregnant, dude,
- 57:53Speaker 1: you're just so excited and then you say, you know,
- 57:55Speaker 1: is it gonna be a boy?
- 57:55Speaker 2: He's gonna be a girl.
- 57:56Speaker 1: You know your boy was wanting a boy and the
- 57:58Speaker 1: line was drawn in the sand, and we're getting William
- 58:00Speaker 1: merrel Compton the fourth Charles fights it. She still fights it.
- 58:02Speaker 1: If we happen to get a boy one day. Yeah,
- 58:06Speaker 1: if we get a boy, She's like, you don't want
- 58:08Speaker 1: to go off. We could kind of call it back
- 58:10Speaker 1: in the middle name and I'm just like sweetheart and
- 58:12Speaker 1: William merrel Compton like that. Yeah, he can't be the
- 58:15Speaker 1: four leneage if it's my grandpa loved him, William Senior,
- 58:20Speaker 1: Willie Sr. But yeah, you know, everybody gets excited doing
- 58:26Speaker 1: the names and breaking it down. We're down to three.
- 58:29Speaker 1: I wanted for Scotty Scotty, so it's Cerulian Bell and
- 58:35Speaker 1: Scotty Joe Lee. I want to say Belle in French
- 58:39Speaker 1: or something over there something over there across the seas.
- 58:44Speaker 1: Bell means beautiful, Joe Lee means pretty. It's one of those,
- 58:48Speaker 1: or it's reverse.
- 58:49Speaker 2: It's something like that. Yeah, yeah, is that beautiful beautiful girl? Yeah.
- 58:54Speaker 1: And so that's how Scotty got Joe Lee. But I
- 58:56Speaker 1: wanted to name Scotty. We were down to too, Scotty,
- 58:58Speaker 1: Joe Lee, and Billy May. So going through number two, obviously,
- 59:04Speaker 1: we went through IVFA. For those out there don't know,
- 59:07Speaker 1: I did an IVF podcast with my wife on Bus
- 59:09Speaker 1: with the Boys. You can find that that was back
- 59:10Speaker 1: in during Mother's Day, which is in May.
- 59:14Speaker 2: Like subscribe, like and subscribe.
- 59:17Speaker 1: So we went through IVF not knowing like, hey, we
- 59:20Speaker 1: could only do two kids, it's gonna be a girl.
- 59:23Speaker 1: I was crippled when I saw that pink come through
- 59:26Speaker 1: the cake.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Crippled.
- 59:28Speaker 1: And so it's like, if we don't have any more,
- 59:31Speaker 1: would love a callback to William like Billy May, like Billy.
- 59:35Speaker 1: She wanted like a boy named for a girl. We
- 59:37Speaker 1: got Scotti from Binge watching Suits, Love Suits. Whenever that
- 59:40Speaker 1: came back around on Netflix. It was a couple of
- 59:42Speaker 1: years ago or a few years ago. Awesome show.
- 59:45Speaker 2: I need to sit down and watch it. I've only
- 59:47Speaker 2: seen Little.
- 59:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's an awesome show. It's a great show to binge. Yeah,
- 59:53Speaker 1: great show to Binge. But we love Scotty, the Scotty
- 59:56Speaker 1: character in that show. So we were down at Scotty
- 59:58Speaker 1: and Billy for a callback to for a callback to
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: William and Billy May. Charles middle name is May, so
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: kind of a callback to both of us. But one
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: of Charles's best friends, her sister had a baby and
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: named the kid Billy May, where Charle was in five
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: months pregnant, and we were down to Billy and Scottie.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: I want to Billy.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Charle wanted Scotti, but once once that sister of her
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: best friend had Billy May. The women they just they
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: don't want anything to do with it. There's like a
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: name in the aura or in our circle somewhere out
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: there people don't want like the same names.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Can I be honest with you, please? This is a
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: safe space. This is for the dads. Man.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: I think he dodged a bullet because when I hear
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: Billy May, I think Billy May's here with the flex seal.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: I dude, I think you dodged a bullet.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: He think so because I loved Billy May.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: Billy May's here, That's what I think as soon as
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: I hear Billy May. Yeah, I just I saw this
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: boat and k aft and put flex seal and now
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: it floats. That's what I would think if I heard
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: Billy May. But I don't want two, Like, well.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Name's already chosen's Scotty, Joelie, Scotty Joelie. We're good, We're good.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: I hear what you're saying, though, I get that.
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: I think you dodged a bullet.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: Okay, Charle does too. You're on Charles's side. I really
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: want tough to hear. I want to will Compton the fourth.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: I want a Willie for so bad.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: Y'all gonna go for number three? Can we right here, right.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Now on this pod? Not confidently?
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Okay, however, we do talk about it like I don't
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: think we're out of the woods on talking about a third.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: We just don't know.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: It's like, I'm sorry, that was inappropriate. I put the
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: pressure on you. It's okay, that was a bit inappropriate.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: You could ask that question. I can handle it.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: However, I can answer it. However I want to answer it.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: You know what I mean, Like I don't really feel
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: comfortable talk about it. Maybe not, I don't know. Yeah,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: and just keep it that way. I just got excited
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: now that I'm a dad, I'm like baby fever. I
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: want to say, when Charle was pregnant with Scottie, it
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: was kind of the thought was, you know, you see
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: what happens during IVF, and it's just the women go
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: through so much, dude, it's a different ball game, and
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: people would ask me, like, dude, it's honestly, it's completely
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: up to my wife because they have to go through everything,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: whether it's IVF even pregnancy in general. They have to
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: go through all the stuff. And we had a tough
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: labor with Rue, so you're just, you know, you're just
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: trying to stay afloat. But it's definitely a conversation. I
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: think she gets excited about it.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Yeah, times we both do.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: And then when we're both in hell, like at the
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: Pool of the Pool story last week, that at don't
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: like when you have the three year old and the
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: chaos happening, like man, that we really want to throw
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: a third into the mix. But it kind of just depends, dude, Yeah,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: because I'm really hell bent on wanting a boy and
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: you can kind of get one through the IVF process.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: But if we could happen to get pregnant naturally, maybe,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: I don't know. I want it for you, for you
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: to have a boy, I know.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: And for all the dads out there, they are like Sherman,
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: you lucky bastard. Hearing the delivery of Jill and how
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: smooth that went.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: It took five seconds of little Scarlet on her chest.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: I swear to God, five seconds she has just come out,
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: and Jill looks at me and goes, we gotta do
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: this again.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: I swear to God. That's awesome. That's awesome.
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: So second one got confirmed five seconds into Scarlet's life.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Yeah, she's on the pup list right now for about
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: eight weeks. Yes she is. And for anybody that's not.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Privy to what the for the young Semen Team sixers
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: out there, yeah, I don't know what we're talking about.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Pupp list is physically unable to perform in football terms,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: and they are on the pup list for eight.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: Weeks because they have to heal. So there's not you know,
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: there's not really any sexual activity going on.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: There's no Semen Team six or Seed team six activity
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: go right, can't go down, can't go down. I tried,
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: you know, she has a medical waiver.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Tried not try, not try like that. But you know
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: when you get a little sexually pent up, honey, is
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: it it's eight weeks out? And no, it's it's eight
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: days honey. Oh shit, I know you're recovering. You haven't
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: got a lot of sleep. You're you're operating on me.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: But you know you got other body pots.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Oh oh, sorry to the moms. Yeah, sorry to the moms.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: And I love you, honey. If you're listening at home,
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: I love you. Yeah, I love you too, sweetheart, I
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: love you too.
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: Charro.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: So why my my analogy bigs, babe, Like, just because
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: just because one roller coaster shutdown doesn't mean you have
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: to shut down the entire theme park.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Exactly like the Titans down. Well, the Texas Giants still going.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: We got the Scrambler over here. We can stick to
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: the carnival ride.
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: Superman's a thrill. Yeah, that's so much fun. Doesn't even
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: have to be a coaster.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a topic for another Yeah.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: Good for y'all, Good for y'all.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Survival kit, Yeah, let's get into survival kit. Let's talk
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: about what's in our survival kit?
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: For me, I think this is more of a learn
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: that Trono will be implementing with Scottie because Rue will
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: have you know, I'm sure parents, a lot of parents
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: out there could could what's going on?
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Oh okay, okay, we're gonna pause for HDMI, pause for HDM.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: We're all good? Are we all good?
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: We're all good? Is it back on? Okay, we're back h.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: One thing we're gonna try to operate that I think uh,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: parents out there with toddlers might resonate with, is like
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: just the the struggle in the negotiation it takes for
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Rue to consume.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: Like really it's just like her protein options well, like
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: whether it's mead or yogurt, and so like she loves
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: yogurt yoga.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: It's more of like a morning for But she'll have
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: these tantrums and we're, you know, obviously talking about number one.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: She's just three, so she has all this big vocabulary
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: in her head and her big emotions and everything else happening.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: So it's hard for her to connect connect all the
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: wiser times. We totally get that. But thinking about yeah,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: with level water two chef, but thinking about like other
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: like other things like how she kind of operates when
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: you look at her the journal from like what she's
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: having for lunch and things like that. She you know,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: consumes a lot of like snacks or carbs like sugar
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: and fruits.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: And stuff like that.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: But I'm thinking, like, hey, if we get if she
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: gets like more protein in her system throughout the day
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: or earlier, that could help. I've seen, you know, these
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Instagram videos out there where they talk about how protein
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: helps with regulation and just the overall your mood throughout
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: the day. So we're obviously in that little war with
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Rue and something that I wish I would have done
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: as she's transitioning off the bottle to like, you know,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: she still has milk with we do whole milk, but
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: transitioning off the bottle to other options, whether it's milk
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: or mixing it in with milk, is involving the in
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: your survival kit protein just like powder protein for kids.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: I think that's something I'm gonna try doing with Scottie,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: just because again it's like Rue will only drink whole milk.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: I try to get her at you know, try some
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: chocolate milk to get her from chocolate milk to hey,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: just create some variety. So then if I were to
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: mix in protein powder, she would like you know, she
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: loves milk or loves all kinds of milk. She knows
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: she does, so she'll drink it, but she knows she
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: doesn't like it or hasn't tried it. She's hard on
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: trying new things. We'll always got to say, Hey, what's
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Daniel Tiger saying it's time to try new things because
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: it might taste good. Daniel now Tiger says that, Bro,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Daniel Tiger's a good show. Daniel Tiger's a good show.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Maybe that's another one that throw in the survival kit.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: But survival kit that I will try to be implementing
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: with Scotty, or that we might be trying with Scotti
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: is getting like that protein portion early in the day
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: or when she drinks her milk, just throwing a little
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: bit in there.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: If she enjoys like chocolate milk or something.
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: Does she like the chocolate milk?
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: Rue? Yeah, she hasn't tried it.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Oh she have you tried to give it to her?
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: Yeah? You were saying, yes, Bro, that's crazy, and she didn't.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: What lies for her?
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: To try, like just something different, Like if we go
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: out to breakfast and they just had orange juice as
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: an option and no apple juice. Fact, did they have
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: orange juice? Do you want some juice? Because she has
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: her water bottle and everything else, we had to fight
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: to get her going just to drink some orange juice
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: if there was no apple juice available.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Is it bad that in my head my instinct go
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: to and that situation is, Oh, you don't have apple juice,
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: but you have super apple juice. To the waitress, we
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: might get some of that super apple juice. I can't believe, honey,
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: you get to get super apple juice.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: That's crazy. But what is the actual juice? Orange juice?
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: I do love that it's super apple juice. Yeah, but
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: is that bad that I'm lying to my kids like that.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Listen, you're gonna get in there. It's gonna be a
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: lot of mind games getting played. Okay, you're gonna have
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: to figure out those ways to make it creative and
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: make it sound fun and in their wheelhouse to explore
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: and experiment other other things.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it was breaking my heart just watching her say
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: no to the maple syrup to you at breakfast? Right,
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: that hurt on the inside, knowing how much she would
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: just love it if she tried it.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Yeah, because we'll do like protein pancakes or something on Sundays.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: Or waffles. It might be waffle Day. I'm just like, sweetheart,
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: you're gonna you would love having some of this this
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: maple syrup. You just gotta try it, dude. Yeah, but
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: that's that's my.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Survival kit, like implementing protein, like finding various ways. And
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: I was looking too, I was researching for people out
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: there that are probably leaving comments that are some fun snacks.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: I'm looking at like Thrive Market for potential snack options. Yeah,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: because they're just snackers, dude, Like you gotta shut her
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: down an hour before, hour and a half before dinner
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: with the snacks.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: She'll start.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: She knows dinner's coming, and dinner's usually tarl and I eat,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Scottie eats, yeah, roos, and they're finding other ways to
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: just not eat. Yeah, whether it's I gotta go walk
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: and do this, Oh I got to, Oh, Scotty drop this,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: gotta get off her chair, sweetheart, just stay seated.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: We have Scotty. Don't worry about Scotty. Let's eat your food.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Did you I don't want to eat? Did you say
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: that really liked hummus? Am I making that up? Yeah?
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: You're making that up. Okay, I don't think she does
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: unless you saw something that I didn't.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: No, I'm probably making that up. I was just trying
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: to think of like anything else that you could put
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: the protein powder into, like just a little bit of
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: water into, like any type of dip type thing that
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: she likes a little bit of water protein yogurt, Dude,
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: that thing would dissolve so fast and yogurt.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Yeah, because I have this like when I do my
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Greek yogurt, I have like this, uh, the jocko protein.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: I like the banana good but yeah good, the banana
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: cream and I'll mix it in my Greek yogurt. And
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: I tried it with her one day, but so did
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I want protein like you? And I kind of put
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: it in there and mix it up and then she
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: just doesn't eat it. Oh no, Yeah, so she she
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: has some strong taste buds, Like I don't feel like
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: it's out.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: Of the ordinary.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: I mean, she eats, but it's just you're just sitting
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: there negotiating the whole time. Yeah, some kids out there
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: eat good, dude. I feel like rue eate everything before
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: probably in the Twoes hit and then just outside of there,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: then you just got your go to's.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: You try to get the healthiest version of chicken nuggets,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: like you got your chicken fingers and mac and cheese.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: I was like, we can't have mac and cheese, bro,
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: every day. We can't have mac and cheese that much. Yeah.
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: I don't know if this is a dad hack. I
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: don't know if my mom just lucked out with my
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: brother and I. But she was introducing, introducing crazy shit
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: when we're a little kid, Like she was giving us
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: pesto feta pizza.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: Yeah, man, by telling you.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Ru would do that stuff because that's what charl would
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: do with her introducing all these things, and she just
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: her taste buds will tighten up.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: Oh really that she's three, and we just gotta like
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: get creative, like oh, tickle Monster's gonna come get you
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: if you don't take a bite.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: Yeah, to get them going. But it's like yeah, because
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: you offer them as much as you know, you offer
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: them a full plate. Let me say, hey, eat this,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: eat that, like, don't you know, just let them may
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: whenever you're ready she gets stupists off. I'll say, well,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: go sit in your room, then go sit on the
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: couch until you're ready.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: She destroyed those eggs when we were sitting there at breakfast.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll get it.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Eat the eggs because you will talk about you know,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: you want to grow taller, You want to you love
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: jumping and doing ballet. Your spins will get faster, You'll
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: start running faster, get on your tippy toes better, all
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: those things. And sweetheart, you're so you know, you do
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: such a good job focusing and with your memory and
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: reading eggies. Protein makes your brain better, makes your brain stronger, smarter,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: you grow taller, faster. I try to, you know, you
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: try to. You try to explain the why behind it,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: so it kind of gets their brain. Okay, so she
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: would that would get her to start taking down eggs.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: Friend of the pod of the Bustle with the Boys pod,
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: call up coach Hardball and just have them talk to
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: her about steak and eggs.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and milk. It's just the importance of milk.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: And she'd steak. That makes steak, yes, she makes steaks.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: Well, that's the best form of protein.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's just Yeah, it's opening up those
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: those taste buds the horizon when.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: You're on the go. Yeah, because weekends are always solid
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: because we can make food and grilling now too is
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: a creative way to do that. Yeah. Keep it under
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: an hour.
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: Keep it under an hour, my survival kid. This is
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: a quick one because it's just a fastball right down
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: the middle. It's called the snuggle me. I'm sure dad's
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: out there with newborns or maybe even infants as well,
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: like early infancy are aware of the snuggle me. But
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: I am a new dad, so I'm just gonna throw
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: it out there, fastball down the middle. This thing is crazy.
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: It's a little bed that you know, nothing out there
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: like prefaces. This is safe sleep because they don't want
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: to get sued or whatever. But it's a very safe
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: form of like this little bed and it kind of
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: mimics like rolling up a towel or rolling up a
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: blanket super tight around your baby. It's basically like a
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: little dog bed for a baby. Do we put Scarlet
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: in this thing? We don't even have to swaddle her.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: We just place her in there. Sometimes we don't even
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: have to put a blanket down, and she is night night.
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: Instantly when we were playing pubg together that night, I
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: had snuggle me on the couch right here to my left.
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: She is on my hip, Like the snuggle means touching
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: my hip.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: She's right here.
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: I have the headset because I'm a good dad. Halfway
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: all my ears, so I kind of hear what's going on.
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: There's a great playlist on and maybe I already reference this,
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: but it's a harp covers of like pop songs, so
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: it's like fun twenties century pop songs but.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: Played on a harp. I have that playing.
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: I have her little uh god, where are those little
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: noise makers machines? Yeah, but it's the one that everybody has,
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: the white noise the hatch. Oh, the hatch, and we
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: got the portable hatch. Dude, do you have the portable hatch?
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: I don't think so. That thing is sick.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: That might be my honorable mention survival kit. It comes
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: with like a little keychain hanger that you can put
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: on a backpack.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: I like that. It's sick, dude.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: Four different settings like ocean hatch sound machine. It's got
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: you are My Sunshine on repeat like on piano.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: But it's great. So I got to add that one
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: to the bag. Dude, it seems like a great one
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: to travel with.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: Oh it's so good, and you can hang it from anywhere,
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: so like, if she's sleeping, you're not worried.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: It's like laying down next to a long car riser
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: it's now chiming in. You just have it hanging from
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: their from their car seat. I love that.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: That's a great dad act, dude, our great survival kid. Yeah,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: great survival kid.
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: It kind of my honorable mention because the snuggle Me
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: is like the true survival kid. But dude, it was great.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: I was like able to be with you, guys. I'm
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: attended to her. She's right there, she's getting good sleep.
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: If she's kind of moving just a little bit and
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: doing a little I just kind of gently placed my
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: hand like on her arm and arms and chests just
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: to let her know.

- 1:20:06Speaker 1: a half, yeah and a half year old. I'm kind
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: of getting some some Irish mixed in with that, but
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I love this guy's voice.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: Oh dude, he's crushing. He has a great calling too.
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: Like my oldest daughter is nearly four and my youngest

- 1:20:35Speaker 2: How is your hair? And outfeet? Game?
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: All about making sure the girls look cute when we
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: leave the house. I'm talking matching outfits. I'm talking hair
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: done little bows. When it's just me on dad judy, mate,
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: it's survival mode. I'm talking crooked pony towel.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: Could you understand? You know what is he saying there?
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: And when it's just me on dead duty, it is
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: survival mode.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: So vival mode. I suck at the Australian voice. I
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: suck at to keep him going.
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: In the wash and he tips for me to stepping
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: out my solo and dad's styling skills. I'll just call
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: it out it is and embrace the chaos and call
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: it authentic. Toddler Look, thanks, hats boys, have a good one.
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: Cheers. What's his name? Nathan? Yo? That fired me up?
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: I love that call in. He's Nathan. Please call in
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: every week?
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: Please call in every week? He signed off on his email.
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: Cheese legends, Nathan round round of a falls for Nathan?
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: What do you what do you have for him?
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: I really don't have any advice for him because I'm
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: not there.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: He's doing it embracing the suck, embracing the trenches. Look
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: at look at the end of the day. Your your
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: your wife loves the matching outfits. Kids love the matching outfits.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: Rue loves wearing dresses. She's in the dress theme and uh,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: will get a dress on her and you get to
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: wear a dress today, sweetheart. She picks out a dress,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: she picks out the.
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: Bow and the whether it's a bow or a called headband? Headband?
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: Is that it? Yeah? Headband? Headband with the bow.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: Headband like the thing that like arches over their head. Yes, yes, okay,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: you're not like the headband like a rapper. Run yeah,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: chef chef us, I'm such a guy, dude, that's all right.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: But headbands, you know, whether it's matching or not matching whatever, Rue,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: whatever she wants to pick, we kind of let her wear. However,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: Charles loves the outfit game. She loves getting new outfits,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: and she does such a good job picking them out.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: I took Rude too when we were in New York.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: I took her through a store so she could pick
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: out a dress. It's headband, Oh, perfect bow head band. Yeah,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: we got a couple of those as well. I love
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: it just because anytime anytime you leave the house too
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: and you're out in public, you know you have.
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: Strangers that are complimenting them. They they just feel awesome,
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: Like what do you say? She say, thank you.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: But as much as it sucks at times because I'll
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: just want to throw shorts and a T shirt on her.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: Just get shorts and a T shirt, sweetheart, we want
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: to go shorts T shirt trying to get her out
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: of the house.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: I lay down an outfit. Well, screw your outfit.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: We wanted to go shorts on a T shirt to
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: make it quick and easy. But there are times, especially
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: holiday season, matching Pj's all of us. I'm big on
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: a you know, if we got to get her a
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: new pair of shoes, I'm quick to go on you know,
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: whether it's stock x or a website for shoes and
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: get like matching shoes because I like to rock the
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: new Balance or who has a pair of New Balance shoes?
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: Where we all meet her and her mom, we have
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: some matching new Balances. Fit game is big getting swagged
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: out as big Dude and Charo loves it. It's you
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: just got to embrace it. But as far as Crooked
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: ponytails go. Ponytail game is hard. I'm a one trick pony.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: I'm a one trick pony. We can go actually two
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: trick pony. We can go high pony, we can go
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: low pony. But outside of that, you want that at
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: a braide your hair that I don't I haven't figured out.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: I haven't had the patience enough to learn the videos
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: because I know dad's out there. They are savants. You
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: guys are savants at braiding the hair. There are probably
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: you know, you'll probably be leaving me some tips on
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: braiding the hair. My fingers are just.
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: That's a badge, dude.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: It's a good badge to put out there. Yeah, the
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: braid badge, that's just not in my bag. Your mom's
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: got to do your hair. But any of the buns too,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: like you know how you flip it through the ponytail
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and you put it in something else to where it
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: looks like a little bun. I'm not I don't. I
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: don't have that in my bag. I can put on
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: a headband, put on a bow. We can go high pony,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: we can go low pony. I've gotten solid thought at
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: the ponies brushing their hair tight, get it in four hoops.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: But anytime it's a bun or anything else, like, I
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: can get out the braid. Braid's pretty easy to get out.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: But anytime it's in a bun and you see your
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: hair kind of in a certain type of a certain
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: type of maze going on up there, I tend to
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: stay away. Hey, sweetheart, can you help her get her
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: butt out? Because I feel like I heard her When
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: I'm like trying to pull it out, She's like, ah,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: that you know, and she starts like crying. I'm like,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: go to your mother, Go to your mother. This contraption.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: I don't know how to figure it out. You start
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: pulling on the wrong spot, you know what I mean,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: you start pulling on the wrong parts.
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: I can't even.
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: Brush Jill's hair, Like, I really like how you're saying,
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: start low and then you like kind of work your
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: way up. You're talking about, yeah, brushing roofs hair, Like
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: I had to learn that with Jill when we first
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: started dating.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Like when you don't have it tight enough and
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: you're just getting out the lows, like it's too loose,
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: it'll yank, it'll yank on their head.
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: Or Jill had hair, she's okay with me saying this,
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: but she would get hair extensions for like, uh, weddings
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: or like pig events and stuff, and do taking those out, chef,
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: Have you ever had to do that? Take hair etensions out?
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: It's like surgery and they have like the little brackets
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: in there, and I'm in there with the needle nosed
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: plier trying to break these little, you know, metal brackets
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: to like oh shit, Oh dude, You're like, I don't
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: want my my wife to go bald, like you know
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: what I mean, because you're ripping. You feel like you're
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: ripping so much hair out.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: You're like, Godlee, Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's nerve wracking. Something
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: we can all work on. Nathan, Nathan, Nan, keep grinding, Nathan.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: That was awesome. Just keep embracing it, dude, Yeah, dude,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: just keep embracing it.
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: And Nathan please call in again soon.
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: I have Nathan J. Just like saved in the email now.
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: So if Nathan J comes in, he's a he's a
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: friend of the show.
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: Friend of the show. Nathan Nathan first friend of the show,
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: first friend of the show, first friend of the show.
- 1:26:40Speaker 3: All right, let's go I hate to derail us, but
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: how the hell, are we gonna get him his merch?
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: Are we are? We just gonna go ship international.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: If we Yeah, if we can't, Absolutely, we gotta get
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: Nathan his merch. He's gonna be a friend of the
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: show and he's part of PT six. He's gonna embrace
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: the boys and he's a fan of But of course
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: we were getting.
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: Him as merch. Nathan, please send us a picture of
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: the merch box. Yeah, that just juices me up. That's
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: going to another continent. That's crazy. Yeah, yeah, Nathan.
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: Anytime you're uh, you're alone too, and you're your daughter
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: is not excited about you not getting it right with
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: the crooked, crooked ponytail.
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: You just gotta embrace it.
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: You gotta embrace hey, that that doesn't always have all
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: the answers, That is doing his best, that is doing it.
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: But look at your hair. Your hair looks gorgeous.
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: And just remind your daughter that it's all gone down here. Yeah, whatever,
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: it's all I keep going like European because of the
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: Lion Tamer.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: Yeah, the Lion the Lion Tamer videos. We're watchings his moistpice.
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: I don't even know what accent I'm in, but that
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: was awesome. You just gotta you gotta have fun with it.
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that is trying.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: That is that is and yeah, and I guarantee the
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: teachers at school when like you're dropping off daughter and
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: she gets out of the car and ponytails crooked and
- 1:28:01Speaker 3: it's dad obviously dropping her off.
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: I'm sure the teachers love that. Yeah, They're like, oh,
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: dad gave it his best. Gi. Yeah, she's gotta love
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: the dads out there embracing and trying. Yeah, dude, it's
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: new for all of us.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, because Rue has a bunch of hair bro
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: shakes after her mom. Yeah, she's got a bunch of hair.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: So when it got to the place where I'm having
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: to learn how to do the ponytails and everything, I'm
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: back there like what the fuck is going on? Because
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: I didn't have any sisters.
- 1:28:28Speaker 3: Oh same, I'm yeah, I would be the blind leading
- 1:28:32Speaker 3: the blind if I gave any advice in that.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, let's get to the next caller. All right,
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: next caller, this is Nick. Well, what's up.
- 1:28:46Speaker 6: My name is Nick. I'm a dad of an eighteen
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: month old. I live in Lake elmol Minnesota, just out
- 1:28:52Speaker 6: of the Twin Cities. First off, just want to say,
- 1:28:53Speaker 6: you guys have a great program. I love listening to
- 1:28:55Speaker 6: your show. Been following you ever since you get on barstool,
- 1:28:58Speaker 6: Go huskers anywhere.
- 1:29:00Speaker 5: Just hear me out for a second.
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: I think he knows all dads. When you're in the trenches.
- 1:29:06Speaker 6: I'm talking like kids less than two years old. You
- 1:29:10Speaker 6: need to be afforded a Dennis Rodman night.
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: Just hear me out. Just hear me out.
- 1:29:15Speaker 6: Maybe it's a weekend Dennis Rodman weekend flashback to the
- 1:29:20Speaker 6: Last Dance Series. Dennis Rodman the middle of the season, says,
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: I gotta go to Vegas. I'll take anything give me.
- 1:29:26Speaker 6: I just need to clear my head. Forty eight hours
- 1:29:28Speaker 6: there and back, and I'm braided roll. Could you freaking imagine.
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: Forty eight hours? Honey. I'll help you.
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: I'll get I'll help you get care, I'll help you
- 1:29:40Speaker 6: get everything set up. I'll help you get bottles, everything
- 1:29:42Speaker 6: ready to go. I just need forty eight hours, and
- 1:29:45Speaker 6: when I come back, I will be championship. Dennis Rodman
- 1:29:50Speaker 6: in the house, around the house, changing diapers, staying up late.
- 1:29:54Speaker 6: I'll take night shift. I don't care, but I just
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: need forty eight hours in Vegas. Call it Vegas, call
- 1:30:01Speaker 6: it Minnesota, Montana, wherever it does you want to go.
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: I think every dad needs a Dentis Rodman night or
- 1:30:09Speaker 6: a dentist Robin weekend. Let me know your thoughts.
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: See you, guys. I love it.
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: I love that call.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: You need your personal time you do when you're getting
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: to that breaking point. The communication needs to be really
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: good with your wife. It needs to be planned because
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: your wife's gonna think about all those logistics that you
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: just talked about. Yeah, childcare, help, because they're gonna be
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: rock and solo. He has an eighteen month old, so
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: it sounds like he only has one right now, which
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: is a positive. Yeah, could be worse. Could you could
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: have a couple, and then you got to think about
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: it even more. Eighteen months is an awesome age too.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: Sixteen months is where I felt like Ruth's personality was
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: coming out. So I know he's in like some really
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: good He's in like a really good moment. I'm sure
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: his a little one in the personality's coming out. I
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: would assume walking, maybe not walking, probably around.
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: There right now. Yeah, but that's a fun age. But yes,
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: bro Ah, I'm on board with that. I am too.
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: Every man needs his time. Every dad needs his his
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: forty eight hours. They need his Dennis Rodman moment to
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: where again, call it Vegas, call it the mountains of Montana,
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: call it wherever. You're just out of town, you're unreachable.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: You need to decompress. Yes, you need silence. You need
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: a hotel room. Would you just you and yourself, maybe
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: a couple of the boys. But you need your own space,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: you need your own quiet time. Your wife also needs
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: that as well. So I love the idea and I'm
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: on board with the idea, but also know that you
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: gotta get your wife active and hurt. Denis drom it's
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: two way street girl. We are pro dad's it's his
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: PT six. We are Papa Team six and when all
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: the Papa seles have of their time. Yeah, but we
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: can't just talk about what the dads need without also
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: talking about what mom needs as well. Oh yeah, so
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: we can't talk about you know, we are pro dad
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: and I'm on board with.
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: You, very pro dada.
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: And that gets me fired up because Jill's friend group,
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: there's a lot of babies already born.
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm being born yep.
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: And talks of girl trip to thirty a you know
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: with the little ones is already in the works. And
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: when I hear that, I'm like, Okay, So hunting trips
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: are in my future. Golf trips are in my future
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: because she's gonna be going on girl trips. Yes, that
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: means dadad gets to go get his freak on. Yeah,
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: gets to go shoot his dove birds.
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: Yeah, get your forty eight hours.
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: I get my forty eight hours of piss missiles right
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: down the fairway.
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: It gets me fucking fired up.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: That is what you have to think about. You gotta
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: think about. Okay, I kind of have a need right now.
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: How do I communicate this? How do I plan for this?
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: A great way to think ahead is how where the
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: wife is going to get her moments? Or maybe it's
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: a day where you're taking care of the kids all
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: weekend and you send her off somewhere you haven't already
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: mapped out and planned out. Got a spa set up
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: for you here, Yeah, get your feet rubbed here, manny,
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: petty little Venmo Shane.
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: He leaves the house, Venmo hits the account. Should we
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: Venmo were girls right now? Oh? I like that move.
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: But to finish on our boy, finish, finish our boy.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: Think about those optics as well, because that's what's going
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: to help you win this Dennis Rodman moment. That's what's
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: going to help you execute and succeed and find your
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: forty eight hours wherever it is. He's on the right track, Nick,
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: He's on the right track because he's saying all the
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: right things.
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: When he gets home, I'll be doing this. I'll be
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: doing that.
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: Love that, But also think about whether it's before your
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: trip and just setting the pieces in place. Listen, this
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: is game of thrones. Oh there's some strategizing involved, and
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: to do that you have to not just understand the
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: mind of your opponent, but be your opponent.
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: What do they want? What do they need?
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: What are they interested in? How do you scratch their back?
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: Chaos is a ladder, Amen, How do you put yourself
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: in their shoes? Win the game for them, to win
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: the game for yourself. That's a quote graphic.
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: That's a quote graphic. Put it down. Yeah, I got this.
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: Weird email, says Veiled this year is gonna be half
- 1:34:17Speaker 3: off on all ski lifts, hotel stays.
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: I don't know, just something to look into, honey. I
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: was role playing. It was a bit but but do
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: your thing.
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, do your thing. You were talking about this vemo.
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: I'm getting this vemo cooked up right now. Okay, what
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: are we sending here?

- 1:34:47Speaker 3: like what does that mean?
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: Like a light pink? I think for the color. No,
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: it's like a it's like a vibrant orange, just red
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: like in that. Oh yeah that's sick. Yeah like that? Yeah,
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: big fan. Okay, So so my mine's out the gate,

- 1:37:56Speaker 2: we won't.
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: But I was just gonna I was gonna say that
- 1:37:59Speaker 3: Chef was pouring his heart out about Tennessee. Chef was
- 1:38:03Speaker 3: pouring his heart out about tennis.
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Tennessee balls. I was telling him the temper of
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: the expectations, Yeah, yeah, temper the expectations. Chef is a
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: true ball.
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: We want GBO to be successful. We do Friend of
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: the Show, Friend of the Show GBO after GBR. Yes, sir,
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: all right, Dad hack lesson.
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: So we have one more call in. Oh, all right,
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: let's get to the last call in. All right, last
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: call in. This one's a dus.
- 1:38:44Speaker 5: Hey. My name is Justin from Vancouver, Washington, justin Awesome.
- 1:38:50Speaker 5: Just wondering how you guys deal with some of the
- 1:38:52Speaker 5: stuff that your kids say in public that either sounds
- 1:38:57Speaker 5: wrong or they shouldn't be saying. For example, my daughter's
- 1:39:01Speaker 5: three just turned four, huge Lions fans. She got a
- 1:39:07Speaker 5: kiddy this year, named it on her own, Jared Goff.
- 1:39:13Speaker 5: But we'll be in a line Jimmy Johns to get
- 1:39:15Speaker 5: a sandwich. She talks real fast. She's like, I got
- 1:39:19Speaker 5: a kiddy. Little lady's like, what's the kitty? What's your
- 1:39:21Speaker 5: kitty's name? Jerk off? So sounds like jerk off everywhere
- 1:39:26Speaker 5: she's telling us, you know what the kiddy's name is,
- 1:39:29Speaker 5: it's jerk Off, jerk off. It's like, ah, No, I
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: got people staring at me, lying I got the sandwich lady.
- 1:39:35Speaker 5: You know, now think I'm a deadbeat tad yelling at
- 1:39:38Speaker 5: this kid's cat. Calling it jerk off all the time.
- 1:39:40Speaker 5: I was like, no, no, no, we're Lions fans. His
- 1:39:43Speaker 5: name is Jared Goff. Just seeing what crazy shit your
- 1:39:47Speaker 5: guys kids might say in public. But you gotta do
- 1:39:50Speaker 5: some explaining about keep up the fucking good work. You
- 1:39:54Speaker 5: guys are awesome. Kill her to have some podcasts like
- 1:39:57Speaker 5: you guys go Lions.
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: Justin.
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: Thanks for calling in, bro. I think that's adorable. Oh yeah,
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: I don't think there's an issue at all. You gotta
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: have a nice laugh. You're left behind her, A pairent
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: might be looking at you a little weird. She means
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: Jared Goff, his name's Jared Goff comes off his jerk off.
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: Because when he was saying, like what happens when your
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: kids say stuff in public that they shouldn't be saying,
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: I'm thinking, oh, no, like what what she said, because
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: she's probably getting it.
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: She's probably hearing it at home.
- 1:40:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: Uh, I think that's adorable. Oh I love it. I
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: love it.
- 1:40:27Speaker 3: Shout out JJ, Jeremy's son. When they're on Broadway. Somebody
- 1:40:32Speaker 3: was pulling up to a stop sign and their breaks
- 1:40:35Speaker 3: were super squeaky, and JJ's like four and he goes
- 1:40:39Speaker 3: you might want to check those bud and you know
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: where you heard that?
- 1:40:43Speaker 2: Yeah, straight from Yeah, straight from Jeremy.
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: I can't wait till a little scarlet's just yapping.
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: I love that Ru hasn't said anything yet that not
- 1:40:56Speaker 2: that I can remember.
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: She did one time say like Charles phone number to somebody,
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: and she's like, you know, reciting the phone number and
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: so perfect, and so you know, it's like, hey, sweetheart,
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: you know, don't just be don't just be saying you know,
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: phone numbers people you don't know.
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: But she like rue, She engages. If we're like talking
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: shows come up, she beg I'm Rue. Like, oh yeah,
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: that's right, sweetheart. To introduce yourself, She's beg, I'm three.
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: It's like, uh, birthday age name, Uh huh. Check out Scotty,
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: Scotty seven months. That's Ruth's conversation. That's Ruth's bag when
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: she's talking to people. Uh huh, this is her name
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: is Scotty. That the hell Scotty seven months?
- 1:41:37Speaker 2: She's seven months. I'm three.
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: But we haven't had a run in yet with with
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: something out of pocket being said. But if it is,
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: I feel like we'll just enjoy a good laugh. We'll
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: enjoy a good laugh and then explain what she's actually
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: trying to say. That's something bad, like you know that
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: has hit me? Oh sweetheart, just put your hand.
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: Around a round.
- 1:41:56Speaker 3: I thought you how to hit that, thought you how
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: to hit that.
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: They kick waffle. I had to keep her from going outside, no,
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: no doubt. I was just moving her with my leg.
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: I was moving her with my leg.
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: Dad that shot someone with Dragon that's on the video game.
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that that kills people. Oh sweetheart, sweet she's
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: talking video games. She's talking video game.
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: Oh man, I.
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: Still remember my childhood telephone number of like the house
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: that we grew upeah, So I'm sure my parents had
- 1:42:29Speaker 3: the same issue.
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: I was probably going around just that. That the dome. Yeah,
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: that's hilarious. I yeah, I love it.
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: I don't think there's much there's not much coaching there.
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: It's enjoy it, celebrate. Yeah, there was a so you
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: know Brad, oh Brad love friend of the Friend of
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: the show. He was the dad and the trailer. So
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: Brad his son Ben, who's he's in college now. He's
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: a he's like a young adult now. But when he
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: was really little, around three.
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: Or four, instead of Kitty he would say titty, which
- 1:43:04Speaker 2: was so adorable. You know, we're giggling, chuckling.
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: I'm trying to get him to say kitty all the
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: time because I'm, well, it's been now, Ben's like eighteen
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: years old. I'm like, in my I'm like eighteen nineteen myself.
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: So back when he was that like for you, I'm
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: like young twenties, yeah, being an idiot.
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: Uh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Just set them up.
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: Been telling them about your kiddie, tell about the kiddies
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: you have, how you love stuggling your kiddies.
- 1:43:34Speaker 3: I'm totally gonna be that dad.
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: Yeah, dude.
- 1:43:37Speaker 3: We had a neighbor that she rode around on her
- 1:43:39Speaker 3: scooter a lot, and she called it a cooter, and
- 1:43:43Speaker 3: so she we would just hear out fron of, you
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: want to ride my cooter and You're like, oh my gosh, yeah,
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: well you gotta we gotta work on the pronunciation of scooter.
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: You gotta work on those asses. That's hilarious.
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: So oh Rue used to when she was when she's
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: like memorizing her books. Oh man, she would say something
- 1:44:03Speaker 1: where it sounds.
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: Like you were talking about this the other day, dick,
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: or what was it? I can't remember it was.
- 1:44:12Speaker 3: It was something yeah, oh oh, it was the things
- 1:44:16Speaker 3: in the bedroom, the things in the bedroom, and you
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: were pointing your saying what is that?
- 1:44:21Speaker 5: What is that?
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: And it's added like maybe, fuck, I can't remember. It
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: was a sad brain, man, that brain.
- 1:44:31Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 1:44:32Speaker 2: I'm starting to get it to you. Yeah, starting to will.
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: And it's got to be your excuse to your wife
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: whenever you're forgetting stuff. Love you enjoy that ten dollars.
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: Should we get into lesson? Yeah that week?
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say, all right, so my lesson, my
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: lesson of the week, saw something again, shout out Instagram,
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: out the app of Instagram, But I saw something. Then
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: I put a little put a little pin to paper
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: or keys to the keyboard. Show your kids what resilience
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: looks like. I find myself falling short with this at times,
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: communicating with rue while a tantrum is building up. Maybe
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: I had a long day at work. Maybe I'll let
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: myself down not working out or eating well because I
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: was up late at night with Uncle Shram, and it's
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: weirdly built up in your mind. Maybe you're just exhausted
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: and feel like you don't have any patience. But something
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: to keep in mind that I have to constantly remind
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: myself is that our kids are watching. They're watching how
- 1:45:36Speaker 1: we handle things. They're watching how we react with adversity
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: around the house, They're watching how we handle our communications
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: with everyone around us. And we have to stay aware
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: of that. And when you're going through it, when you
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: embrace the suck, know that you are teaching your grit.
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: Know that you're teaching them how to stand tall and
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: stay in the fight. And also this goes into my
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: dad hack. Challenge yourself to tell your kid how your
- 1:45:58Speaker 1: day was. I find it it's helpful because when they start,
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: when they're starting to struggle and melt down into the
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: abyss of a tantrum with no return, you find yourself
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: like wanting to hold your line of defense or wanting
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: to hold your boundary really strong. You might start raising
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: your voice and losing your composure, just like you know,
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: I was talking about losing my composer last week. Last week,
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: even though the moment called for for something like that.
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: But go into the mode of fully empathizing word they
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: are because you can still hold the boundary. You can
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: still hold the boundary there. Like a few episodes ago,
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: when we were talking about, you know, negotiating with kids,
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: or you feel manipulative when you're telling them this if
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: they're like, you know, one example, RU like hurt herself
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: or she had like a scratch on herself and she
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: was using it like I can't do that, I can't walk,
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: I can't I can't do this and that I can't
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: go to my bed, I can't put my PJS on.
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: I need you to carry me, or like I don't
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: want to do X, Y and.
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: Z before bed because I have a scratch, I have
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: a boo boo in my don't work, and you're at
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: that breaking point of like get your ass upstairs and
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: you're putting your PJS on.
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: This is what we said we were going to.
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: Do, flipping it into fully like empathizing where they're at.
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: H That example would be oh, sweetheart, I know dad
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: has got a bunch of booboos on his legs, Like
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: I got these scars where I got gashed. I had
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: to tell her this story. She showed me this little
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: scratch she had. My patience was running thin, and I
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: thought to myself, all right, how do I completely go
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: where she's at and I will get to my boundary
- 1:47:30Speaker 1: because we still have to execute walking upstairs and getting
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: our pajamas on.
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: Yeah, versus raising my voice. Hey, this is what we're doing,
- 1:47:37Speaker 2: picking her up. Whatever it is.
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: I fully went into like a oh dude, I feel you.
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: DADAD got a massive booboo. Back when I was your age,
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: Like I was outside, I was playing with friends, and
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: you know how Daddy will like spin you around or
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: pick you up, or grab your hands and pull you
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: in the circles. I had that happen to me one time,
- 1:47:57Speaker 1: and I got this massive gash on an on the fence.
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: It was actually a real story. I'm not just like
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: making it up to you, but I'm like, DADDAD was
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: playing around and this all the adult. They grabbed my
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: wrists and were flinging me around and I was close
- 1:48:11Speaker 1: to this fence and this nail was sticking out and
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: gashed me in the knee. And you know at that
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: point when they're melting down, they kind of stopped because
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: they're listening to you. They're like, oh, Deadad went through
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: something like this. Yeah, And You're like, I still have
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: a scar from it. Do you want to see the scar?
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: Yeah? I want to see the scar. And I like
- 1:48:25Speaker 2: show this scar on my knee, like, oh, it's still there.
- 1:48:28Speaker 2: Dadad was bleeding everywhere. Did you cry?
- 1:48:30Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: Dadad cried a lot. It was really painful. But you
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: know what I had to do. I still had to
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: go upstairs. I still had to I still had to
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: get my pajamas on, and my legs. Dude, my legs
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: weren't working either. I'm like yelling from mom and dad,
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: can somebody help me? Can somebody help me? But Mom
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: and Dad wasn't. They weren't available to pick me up
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: and help me out. And I had to find a
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: way to stand up and walk upstairs. Do you think
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: you could stand You think you could stand up and
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: use your legs to walk upstairs? I Dadad wasn't able
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: to pick you up because you.
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: Know, my back, my back's got all these issues.
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: Years, yeah, ten years in the league suite, aren't I
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: was on practice squhad' here's the you've ever seen the
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: Georgia pick six, Here's the Georgia pick six.
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: Dead as back hurts. So it's hard for me to
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: pick you up. But I'll tell you more.
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: I have other scars. I have other stories where I
- 1:49:14Speaker 1: had big scratches. I can tell you when we're when
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: we're getting ready for bed, would you like to go
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: do that? Yeah, yeah, we can go do that. And
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: the next thing you know, she's walking upstairs no to
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: put her PJS on. So I would just say, like
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: teaching your kid resilience. A lot of the times, it's
- 1:49:27Speaker 1: not like holding the line in. It's such a stern
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: way because when they're three again, when they're young, it's
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: like they're they're they're developing brain just cannot compartmentalize and
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: connect the wiring that remains calm. Or here's what you're saying.
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: It's more of like a lot of it is like
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: getting yourself completely in their shoes, telling them an old
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: war story about yourself, to where you're sharing stories or
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: tough times with them. Maybe their legs don't work and
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: you just make it up in the moment. Oh dad
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: has legs up working today at work, or Dada wasn't
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: able to get this today at work, or I couldn't watch.
- 1:49:59Speaker 2: She might want to walk downstairs get my water bottle. Room,
- 1:50:02Speaker 2: I'm not getting your water bottle. It's time for bed.
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: We're going to do this. Yeah, Dad, I couldn't get
- 1:50:07Speaker 2: to his water bottle. That worked today.
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: I hit somebody, you know, then it's like I had
- 1:50:12Speaker 1: somebody come bring it up, and then I still executed
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: what I needed to do the next time. And you're
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: kind of telling them an old adversity that's like completely
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: empathizing with what they're going through in the moment.
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: Now you didn't want to get the water bottle.
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: Your heart's like, okay, I should get the water bottle,
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: but not in a moment of her being pissed off.
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: I'm going down to get and she drinks and manipulates
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: you in there doing something else. You sit there and
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: talk about a time or make up a story about
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: how you couldn't get your water bottle, and Uncle Sherm
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: or Papa shrm, I couldn't get my water bottle saying sure,
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: IM sure, He ends up bringing over to me. I
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: got my water, and then I had to do my
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: next thing, which was you know, you make that up,
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: had to do a podcast.
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: Go to work, had to take a nap. I had
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: to ask Uncle Sherm very nicely.
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I had to ask him Uncle Sheran very nicely.
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: And then when he brought me my water, I got
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: my water and took a nap. So here's what I'll
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: do for you. All go downstairs, I'll get your water.
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: But once you take a couple of SIPs of water,
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: it's time to go night night. It's time to say
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: good night and let that then know it's time to
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: tuck you in a kiss, a hug, and three squeezes.
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: That is going to leave the room.
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: Can you do that for me? Yeah? Can you do
- 1:51:10Speaker 2: that for me? Yeah? I can do that for you.
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: And then you go down and get the water bowle
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: to take a couple of SIPs like, okay, good night, dad, died,
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: I love you, and then you kind of execute what
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: your boundary was, even though you removed outside and went
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: and got that water bottle.
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: So that's my lesson is that's the lesson of the week,
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: is just how to show your kids resilience when they're
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: kind of being aware and watching you from afar, just
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: being conscious of like when you are having those hard
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: moments because it's tough, dude, because your patience runs thin
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: after a long fucking day and you're just running on fumes.
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: It's just knowing that they're watching you and seeing how
- 1:51:42Speaker 1: you handle everything. And then also in those times where
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: in their developing brain. They're having a lot of struggles
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: using the resilience as like sharing a moment of your
- 1:51:51Speaker 1: resilience or adversity, whether it's a made up story, whether
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: it's a real story, if it's something that sounds that
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: they're just making up, like, dude, you got a bug bite.
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: It's gonna go away tomorrow.
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: I know it itches.
- 1:52:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you showing them, Oh my gosh, I got bud
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: bues too, bug bites too. And then it completely disarms
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: what's had the meltdown that's starting to happen in their
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: brain because you're not trying to give them, You're not
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: trying to listen to them. You're like, Okay, I got it.
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: You gotta you gotta, you gotta bug bite. Soun brush
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: your teeth, soun brush your teeth. I can't bug bite
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: bug bite. It's like, stop thinking about the get her
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: in to brush your teeth. Just go into complete dude,
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: I got a bug bite. I got a bug bite.
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: Two And then they kind of stop and look at Yeah,
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: it's itchy, it's itsy, it's itchy, but you know what,
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: I know it's gonna feel better tomorrow. And even though
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: I have a bug bite and I just don't want
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: my legs aren't helping me out. Right now, I'm still
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: gonna brush my teeth and we're gonna go to bed.
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: So after I show you this bug bite, you know,
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: can we go in and brush our teeth and say yeah,
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: we can go brush our teeth and then it ends
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: up happening. So that would be That would be something
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: I'm consciously trying to stay aware of when I feel
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: like my patience isn't there. And then how to flip
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: the script in the middle of a of a tantrum
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: and kind of tell them a story of something that
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: you're going through with them or have went through that
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: they are currently going through.
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: I bet it's so much easier to go the other direction.
- 1:53:12Speaker 3: Scarlett's obviously not talking yet, but I'm already starting to
- 1:53:17Speaker 3: sense that within myself that battle of like when I
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: was talking about the dad loss and like the third
- 1:53:23Speaker 3: blowout that she had in a row of just like
- 1:53:28Speaker 3: oh man, you know I could sit here and be like, dude,
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: that really sucks, or I could laugh at the fact
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: that my daughter just pooped her diaper three times in
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: a row. We're gonna sing even more, just kind of
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: like I'm starting to build that resilience in my head
- 1:53:45Speaker 3: because I'm just at the beginning chapters and I'm already
- 1:53:48Speaker 3: sensing that as a weak point for me of like
- 1:53:51Speaker 3: I gotta bring that positivity or I got to bring that,
- 1:53:54Speaker 3: you know, resilience and that ability to Hey, this is hard,
- 1:53:58Speaker 3: but like here's how we're attack it.
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: Yeah. I love that, Like, hey, this is hard, dude,
- 1:54:05Speaker 2: I know it's hard. Man, I can tell.
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: I can tell it's making you angry and frustrated and dude,
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: same thing happened to me yesterday.
- 1:54:14Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: Then they kind of stop and they're kind of attentive
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: about like what you're saying. Then you talk through how
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: you handled it and how you went through everything else.
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: You know what, I bet, I bet if we do X,
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: Y and Z, let's do this for a second, you
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: know what, let's pause, you know, let's pause having to
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: go upstairs, and you just make up some like remedy,
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: some side quest with them. I bet if we do this,
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: I bet it makes it feel better, and I bet
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: it it helps you going back going upstairs to execute
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: what the mission is. Oh yeah, then you kind of
- 1:54:41Speaker 1: take them on a little side quest. Then you get
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: them going first just sitting there battling. It gets to
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: where your patience is so low because it happens to
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: me all the time, to where you're just like you just.
- 1:54:50Speaker 2: Get fed up.
- 1:54:51Speaker 1: You just get fed up before he starts elevating, or
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: you're just like, hey, sweetheart, I can't do this anymore.
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: You and Mama, Yeah, go find mama. You go find
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: mom with yourself. Dad is not doing it. Huge, huge
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: shout out to my brother.
- 1:55:05Speaker 3: You just reminded me of a core childhood memory. My
- 1:55:09Speaker 3: brother's four years older than me. I was very lucky.
- 1:55:13Speaker 3: He was a very kind brother to me and very
- 1:55:15Speaker 3: like fatherly too, Like he he loved being an older
- 1:55:18Speaker 3: brother to me and like teaching me and YadA YadA.
- 1:55:21Speaker 3: I was really scared of monsters under the bed and
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: like scared of monsters in the closet, and I would
- 1:55:27Speaker 3: fight mom and dad of going to bed, and he.
- 1:55:30Speaker 2: Had the wherewithal too.
- 1:55:32Speaker 3: My dad had Airsol deodorant back in the day, and
- 1:55:36Speaker 3: my brother said that it was monster spray and was like,
- 1:55:39Speaker 3: if we spray it in the closet and underneath the
- 1:55:42Speaker 3: bed of like that side mission, Yeah, Like we're all good. Like, dude,
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: I've never seen a monster before in my life. After
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: I sprayed that thing, I started going to bed like that.
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: It was crazy.
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: Because those are good little fun games to play. Yes,
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: you're in, and it's kind of early in the phase
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: of like if I catch ru soon enough, or if
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: I'm thinking about it, like doing that side quest of like,
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: you know, she's always scared of the mask because she
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: saw Michael Myer's mask when she was young, so she's
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: always been like, the mask.
- 1:56:16Speaker 2: Oh, sweetheart, the mask comes. The mask comes. If we
- 1:56:21Speaker 2: don't do X, Y and Z, what the mask comes.
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: Yeah, But all we gotta do is we got to
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: go in the it's the bonus room. Yeah, but we'll
- 1:56:32Speaker 1: go in the playroom and we'll do this and that'll
- 1:56:34Speaker 1: keep the mask away. But after we you know, make
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: some up stay.
- 1:56:38Speaker 2: It's the spray. After we go in and do a.
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: Couple couple of sprays. She's got this little water bottle.
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: After we go in and do a couple of sprays,
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: that'll keep the mask away. But then we gotta do
- 1:56:48Speaker 1: we gotta brush our teeth because if we don't brush
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: our teeth, it won't hold. It won't hold, and the
- 1:56:51Speaker 1: mask will come. So then you make it that little game.
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: So it's like, do you want to go, well, okay,
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: we spray. Do you want to run back and brush
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: our teeth real quick? She's like, yeaheah, let's go.
- 1:56:58Speaker 2: Let's go, and you start.
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: Running to the room, get the bathroom, you prush her teeth. Okay,
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: let's run on the couch. Let's run the mountain because
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: then you might pause. You be like, oh my gosh,
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: do you hear that? I think the mask might be coming,
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: And she'll get all she'll get all like excited because
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: she knows where like we're playing a game. Oh h Like,
- 1:57:13Speaker 1: oh my gosh, the masks come. We gotta run to
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: the bed. We gotta run to the couch. We gotta
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: run on the couch.
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: Uh huh. And then you go run on the couch. Okay,
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: I think we're safe. What book do you want to read? God?
- 1:57:21Speaker 2: That's electric fires me up. Dude, you're gonna get to be.
- 1:57:26Speaker 3: I cannot wait to play Make Belief. When we went
- 1:57:29Speaker 3: to your house to shoot the trailer, she showed me
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: the pillow for it. She was showing me and Garrett
- 1:57:33Speaker 3: for it in y'all's bonus room, and I said, what's
- 1:57:38Speaker 3: this pillow?
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: Is this the door?
- 1:57:40Speaker 3: And she said, yeah, it keeps out like that. I
- 1:57:43Speaker 3: couldn't tell what she was trying to tell me, but
- 1:57:44Speaker 3: she was telling me that the wolves.
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:57:46Speaker 3: Yeah, she was telling me it kept stuff out. Yeah,
- 1:57:48Speaker 3: and it was very a central part of the pillow
- 1:57:51Speaker 3: for it.
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: Yeah. I was like, God, I love that.
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: It's uh TAFFEEDI from Mohana keeps out TAFFEEDI, hmmm, keeps
- 1:57:58Speaker 1: out the Grinch. Oh good, yeah, good, keeps out the Grinch.
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: The mask of course, the mask, you course, the mask,
- 1:58:07Speaker 1: the bear mm and the wolves. Because I'll play like
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: wolves growling on my on my YouTube. I'll like pull
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: out my phone. I'm like, oh my god, do you
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: hear that there's wolves outside? And then when she gets
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: a little too scarily, oh, dad is just playing.
- 1:58:21Speaker 2: This is just a phone. There's not really wolves. Hey,
- 1:58:23Speaker 2: don't forget your dad's a wolf? Is that that would
- 1:58:27Speaker 2: never let a wolf get in the house. No, bad guys, rather, okay, okay,
- 1:58:32Speaker 2: cameras are heating up. Cameras are heating up. Got to
- 1:58:34Speaker 2: keep it under an hour.
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: Yeah, they shout out Evan Coop for sending the boys
- 1:58:37Speaker 1: before the dads shout out Evan Coop.
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: Thank you, sir, huge help, huge help. They look great. Yeah.
