- 0:59Speaker 1: you know today's guest because she became famous on The
- 1:01Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Orange County. But as today's interview will prove,
- 1:05Speaker 1: you don't know the real Elizabeth Vargas at all. We
- 1:08Speaker 1: had such a fun yet deep conversation. Real Housewives gave
- 1:12Speaker 1: us just a snippet of who Elizabeth is, but it
- 1:14Speaker 1: was amazing to be able to talk in depth with
- 1:16Speaker 1: her about her real life. So many people tend to
- 1:19Speaker 1: have their guards up after doing a reality show, but
- 1:21Speaker 1: she was absolutely so open. We talked about relationships, about
- 1:25Speaker 1: growing up with trauma, her entrepreneurial spirit. She's so positive,
- 1:29Speaker 1: even about things in her life that were pretty rough.
- 1:31Speaker 1: We talk a little bit about the housewives and then
- 1:34Speaker 1: get some great behind the scenes stories. You won't believe
- 1:37Speaker 1: what she thought she was auditioning for when she went
- 1:39Speaker 1: in to meet executives for the first time. Get ready
- 1:42Speaker 1: for Elizabeth Vargas on Misunderstood with Rachel Ucadel. Elizabeth, thank
- 2:15Speaker 1: you so much for joining me. I'm so happy to
- 2:17Speaker 1: finally meet you. We have such a great mutual friend,
- 2:20Speaker 1: David Weintraub, and it's my honor and my pleasure to
- 2:23Speaker 1: have you on Misunderstood.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Thank you. It's my honor to actually meet you. I'm
- 2:28Speaker 2: happy to be here.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Great.
- 2:30Speaker 1: So in sifting through your Instagram and through seeing what
- 2:35Speaker 1: people see of you from the Housewives show, people think
- 2:39Speaker 1: that you live this fabulous, luxurious life. But I want
- 2:42Speaker 1: to go back to your beginnings because whether or not
- 2:45Speaker 1: people know this, and some do, but some really don't,
- 2:48Speaker 1: that you came from very humble beginnings and you had
- 2:53Speaker 1: a lot going on in your childhood. And I really
- 2:54Speaker 1: want to start there to really paint a picture for
- 2:56Speaker 1: people of who you are based on you know, really
- 3:00Speaker 1: where you came from as opposed to what people read
- 3:03Speaker 1: and believe about you now. So talk to me about
- 3:05Speaker 1: where you're from, what your childhood was like, that kind
- 3:08Speaker 1: of thing.
- 3:10Speaker 4: My father was a preacher slash knife salesman door to door.
- 3:14Speaker 4: My mother was a stay-at-home mom and we lived on
- 3:17Speaker 4: a farm slash ranch and very humble beginnings in Missouri.
- 3:26Speaker 4: You know, we we had our own cattle. We had
- 3:29Speaker 4: our own, our own sheep.
- 3:32Speaker 2: We had our own chicken. We had our own eggs.
- 3:34Speaker 2: You know, I know how to milk a cow, put
- 3:36Speaker 2: it that way.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:40Speaker 1: It's a great skill to have.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So they, I know how to milk a cow. It
- 3:46Speaker 2: turned it out handy in the video later on.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I'll use that more than algebra though.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I'm like, thank you, mom. You're so amazing. Um, No,
- 3:57Speaker 2: but yeah.
- 3:58Speaker 4: So, you know, Missouri, the farm, preacher dad, um, very humble,
- 4:02Speaker 4: but very blessed, uh, to be able to be around
- 4:04Speaker 4: all the animals and everything. And then, uh, moved to
- 4:08Speaker 4: Washington state after I was around 12, uh, you know,
- 4:13Speaker 4: got through, we were, we went to private school as
- 4:15Speaker 4: well in Missouri. So I was really secluded and really, uh,
- 4:20Speaker 4: not allowed to see a lot of people outside of
- 4:22Speaker 4: the church environment in Missouri.
- 4:23Speaker 2: So I was really, um, What do you call it?
- 4:28Speaker 2: I'm having a brain fart. Anyway, I didn't have a
- 4:30Speaker 2: brain fart. Secluded. Secluded, yeah.
- 4:33Speaker 4: And so then when we moved to Washington State, my
- 4:35Speaker 4: mom wanted to kind of get us out of that
- 4:36Speaker 4: church environment. We ended up going to public school and
- 4:40Speaker 4: it was a shock. I didn't even, we had no
- 4:44Speaker 4: idea how to handle a public school. And so it
- 4:47Speaker 4: was a shock and I was made fun of a lot.
- 4:48Speaker 4: And I was told I was a nerd.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I had an accent.
- 4:51Speaker 4: So I went to speech class to get rid of
- 4:53Speaker 4: my accent. um, you know, my little twang and then, um, so.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I could be accepted in school.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Um, but I was always picked on, always teased, but
- 5:01Speaker 4: I excelled in everything just to prove it to everybody that,
- 5:04Speaker 4: you know, I wasn't the dark nerd that you guys
- 5:06Speaker 4: are all blaming me to be. I was picked on
- 5:08Speaker 4: a lot, but it was great.
- 5:10Speaker 2: You know, whatever I learned.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:12Speaker 1: So, um, Talk to me about the church that you
- 5:15Speaker 1: are a part of. I know a lot of this
- 5:16Speaker 1: came out during your stint on The Housewives. But what
- 5:21Speaker 1: was that like to grow up with your family so
- 5:24Speaker 1: heavily involved in this church? I know that it was
- 5:27Speaker 1: really more like a cult than a church. So explain
- 5:30Speaker 1: to people what that's like, because I think that there
- 5:33Speaker 1: is a misconception from people about the difference in the two.
- 5:38Speaker 2: There is an extreme difference.
- 5:40Speaker 4: There is a spirituality and a love for God and
- 5:43Speaker 4: love for the powers that be and angels above. And
- 5:46Speaker 4: then there's the cult-like atmosphere, which is very controlling, manipulative
- 5:50Speaker 4: and evil.
- 5:52Speaker 2: And that's what I was raised in.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I learned very early in life how to lie to
- 5:57Speaker 4: the elders in order to not be beaten or not
- 6:00Speaker 4: be locked in a closet or whatever. So the environment
- 6:04Speaker 4: that I grew up in was very harsh, very manipulative
- 6:07Speaker 4: and rough. I I didn't know it was going to
- 6:10Speaker 4: come out on the housewives, um, but it did. And
- 6:12Speaker 4: I think in today's environment with a lot of the
- 6:15Speaker 4: child trafficking and a lot of the kids being.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Abused that, um, my whole life, I hid that.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Secret, uh, cause you know, the church environment was exactly that,
- 6:28Speaker 4: you know, abusing children, um, sexually and physically and, For
- 6:34Speaker 4: us to get out of that, my mom got us
- 6:36Speaker 4: out of that environment was a blessing, but now going
- 6:38Speaker 4: through life and I'm an adult, I see these stories
- 6:42Speaker 4: coming out that have to do with child trafficking and
- 6:48Speaker 4: have to do with child abuse. It makes me even
- 6:51Speaker 4: more keen on moving forward with how can I help
- 6:55Speaker 4: because I actually lived it. So I guess, you know,
- 6:58Speaker 4: moving to Washington, we got out of it, but I
- 7:00Speaker 4: do know exactly what happens.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I do know exactly how it works.
- 7:03Speaker 4: And I do know exactly if you have somebody to
- 7:05Speaker 4: help you, you can get out of it. And I
- 7:07Speaker 4: know exactly the lifelong turmoil that a child is going
- 7:11Speaker 4: to bear, the guilt when they have to come out
- 7:15Speaker 4: of that environment. My whole life I've lived with it.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And I've lived in the shadow of that guilt of
- 7:21Speaker 2: somebody else's fault. And it's a horrific experience. way to live.
- 7:26Speaker 2: You really have to have some strong people around you.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Well, I really wanted to ask you about that a
- 7:34Speaker 1: little more. So I went to a therapeutic boarding school.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I don't know if you've read about those, but those
- 7:39Speaker 1: have similar people believe that they're, you know, kind of
- 7:44Speaker 1: go down the same road of being like cults. My
- 7:48Speaker 1: boarding school that I went to from 12 to 17 was,
- 7:51Speaker 1: it was called Sedu. It was based on the Sinanon cult.
- 7:55Speaker 1: And we had to wear specific clothes. We can only
- 7:58Speaker 1: listen to specific music. We could not talk to anyone
- 8:02Speaker 1: in the outside world. I couldn't talk to my family
- 8:04Speaker 1: or friends. You had to make all new friends. We
- 8:06Speaker 1: had to work on a farm. We had to eat
- 8:08Speaker 1: what we were given there. And And we had to
- 8:12Speaker 1: do certain exercises. It was very physical. We had to
- 8:15Speaker 1: do a lot of physical work there. I had to
- 8:18Speaker 1: dig a grave with a spoon and lay in it.
- 8:20Speaker 1: And so while I was there, though, of course, I
- 8:23Speaker 1: wanted to leave. I wanted to get out. I ran
- 8:24Speaker 1: away a couple of times. eventually I grew to say, well,
- 8:29Speaker 1: I don't have another way out. I was so young, right?
- 8:32Speaker 1: And my parents, my mother had sent me there. So
- 8:35Speaker 1: I really had nowhere to go when I ran away.
- 8:37Speaker 1: So also while I was there, my father died. So
- 8:40Speaker 1: I really felt like it was like a place where
- 8:45Speaker 1: it became my family. I didn't know any different. So
- 8:47Speaker 1: I started to go- He groomed you also.
- 8:49Speaker 2: You're being groomed. There's no question.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 1: So I, I became accustomed to following the rules and
- 8:56Speaker 1: then I became the person that instilled the rules as
- 8:59Speaker 1: I got older there to the younger, newer kids. And
- 9:03Speaker 1: I didn't realize it was a cult. I mean, later
- 9:05Speaker 1: on in, you know, I think it was 1996, it was,
- 9:08Speaker 1: or maybe 10 years after that, but it was shut
- 9:12Speaker 1: down for abuse. And I, while I was there, I
- 9:16Speaker 1: didn't see it as something that I was involved in
- 9:18Speaker 1: a cult until I could step out of it later
- 9:20Speaker 1: on in life and realize that This is not the
- 9:23Speaker 1: way to be treated, you know? Yeah.
- 9:25Speaker 2: And this isn't normal to bury yourself in your own
- 9:27Speaker 2: grave and see how it feels.
- 9:30Speaker 1: No, but it's like when, when adults are telling you
- 9:33Speaker 1: that this is how you have to follow rules. So
- 9:36Speaker 1: it's interesting. I have grown up having some, some good
- 9:39Speaker 1: qualities from it. I don't, I, I definitely have learned
- 9:43Speaker 1: not to lie. I know about boundaries. I've learned because
- 9:46Speaker 1: we would get in so much trouble if we got
- 9:49Speaker 1: caught for anything. You know, I didn't want to be punished.
- 9:52Speaker 1: So I learned how to not be punished.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So but I think it's also made it very difficult
- 9:57Speaker 1: in my life to trust people. And so. to be
- 10:01Speaker 1: part of any organized religion. So I'm curious, are you
- 10:04Speaker 1: still religious or did that take a lot of your
- 10:06Speaker 1: faith away?
- 10:07Speaker 4: It absolutely took my faith away. I've spent years finding
- 10:13Speaker 4: my own self through self-awareness, not through any external influence
- 10:20Speaker 4: because I don't believe in people.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I don't believe in religion.
- 10:23Speaker 4: I don't believe in big screens and giving money to
- 10:26Speaker 4: a pastor that flies.
- 10:27Speaker 2: A jet and rides in a yacht.
- 10:30Speaker 4: I'm very cynical when it comes to preachers, but spirituality
- 10:34Speaker 4: is different. I believe I have angels above that have
- 10:39Speaker 4: certainly created a path for me of light that I
- 10:42Speaker 4: can share with others and somehow in my life, give
- 10:47Speaker 4: back my experience to give some other woman hope or
- 10:51Speaker 4: some other little girl hope that you can get out
- 10:53Speaker 4: of that. You can create an atmosphere that you're safe
- 10:58Speaker 4: in that.
- 10:59Speaker 2: You can meet a man. I never thought I could
- 11:02Speaker 2: ever meet anybody. Relationships.
- 11:06Speaker 4: I'm sure like you relationships with adults or anybody is different.
- 11:10Speaker 2: You don't feel normal.
- 11:11Speaker 4: You can't, you can't, I never knew like you, I
- 11:15Speaker 4: never knew it wasn't right until I got in trouble with,
- 11:22Speaker 4: you know, and accidentally told a neighbor and the church
- 11:24Speaker 4: got shut down.
- 11:26Speaker 2: And, you know, it was my fault. So I got
- 11:28Speaker 2: cast out of the church.
- 11:30Speaker 4: My whole family did. And we moved to Washington because
- 11:32Speaker 4: I did something. And my father had claimed I, I
- 11:36Speaker 4: was the culprit. I was, you know, he told me
- 11:38Speaker 4: you just lost a father, but he moved with us
- 11:39Speaker 4: to Washington and he died like you. And I never
- 11:43Speaker 4: got closure with him. I never got to really fully
- 11:46Speaker 4: understand what he had put.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Us through before he died.
- 11:48Speaker 4: So I couldn't like sit there and go, you idiot,
- 11:52Speaker 4: what you did to your children. So, yeah, I mean,
- 11:56Speaker 4: it's really affected, like you, decisions. But if we can
- 12:02Speaker 4: harness this entanglement of our past and really try and
- 12:07Speaker 4: make this pathway to positivity and know that we are
- 12:12Speaker 4: where we are at today because we're supposed to be
- 12:14Speaker 4: a tool for others. If we understand that, then I
- 12:17Speaker 4: think there's a goal and there's a purpose behind all
- 12:20Speaker 4: the abuse. I just have to find a purpose because
- 12:23Speaker 4: if I don't find a purpose, I'm just miserable.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:26Speaker 1: No, I totally understand that.
- 12:29Speaker 2: I got to find a purpose. I'm like, wow.
- 12:31Speaker 3: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 12:34Speaker 3: for it?
- 12:34Speaker 5: This exclusive place at Data's Connections with they have more
- 12:37Speaker 5: cars for more dealerships than, like, anywhere else.
- 12:40Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 12:42Speaker 6: It's Dunediel.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Where?
- 12:46Speaker 6: Dunediel. There's an accent on the E.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Do you mean.
- 12:50Speaker 6: Yes, I got it on Dunediel Cars.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Lyft? Please.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Are you going past Kimmage? Oh, Kimmage.
- 12:56Speaker 5: No.
- 12:57Speaker 6: Dunediel Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Um, so you talked about relationships with men. You eventually
- 13:08Speaker 1: met and married a man who you were married to
- 13:11Speaker 1: for 17 years, 20 years at the end, right?
- 13:14Speaker 2: We were married for five together for 20. Okay. Twice.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I said, no, you know, fear of a commitment. Wow.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Wow.
- 13:23Speaker 1: So how did you, uh, who were you when you
- 13:26Speaker 1: met your husband? Were you working? Were you, did you
- 13:28Speaker 1: have aspirations? Like tell me about who you were.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Um, I've always worked.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Um, I don't care if it's six bucks an hour,
- 13:36Speaker 4: five bucks an hour, uh, three bucks an hour being
- 13:38Speaker 4: a babysitter. I worked since I was 12, um, 13. And, um,
- 13:45Speaker 4: I've always been a hard worker and a runner. I
- 13:47Speaker 4: run and it's therapy for me. So I was a
- 13:49Speaker 4: state champion and running, you know, I'm just very, I
- 13:52Speaker 4: have such a drive.
- 13:53Speaker 2: It's insane. This fire inside me because of the abuse.
- 13:56Speaker 4: I just didn't want to tell anybody. So in order
- 13:58Speaker 4: for me to get it out, um, the fireball, I
- 14:01Speaker 4: would run and I would work myself to death. And
- 14:04Speaker 4: so when I met my ex or my ex, um, Barrett, uh, Bodell,
- 14:13Speaker 4: I was working three jobs, trying to make it broke
- 14:17Speaker 4: a jazz singer. Cause singing jazz was my therapy in nightclubs.
- 14:21Speaker 4: So I was underage singing in nightclubs and you know, summertime,
- 14:26Speaker 4: you know, and I can really make it move.
- 14:28Speaker 2: So, you know, it was awesome.
- 14:29Speaker 4: And I was very sexual as a young girl because
- 14:31Speaker 4: I went through a lot of sexual abuse. So I
- 14:32Speaker 4: had this sexuality about me that I didn't really know. I,
- 14:35Speaker 4: I didn't mean to be groomed that way, but I was,
- 14:38Speaker 4: and even though I'm not in that sexual environment anymore,
- 14:42Speaker 4: I'm still a sexual individual. And I, but I learned
- 14:46Speaker 4: not to make that who I was, but in singing,
- 14:49Speaker 4: you could create a cool Jessica rabbit vibe and, And
- 14:52Speaker 4: it's accepted. So I learned that in jazz, I could
- 14:54Speaker 4: be really flirty and fun on stage and then get off.
- 14:58Speaker 2: And be this miserable person that I was. So I
- 15:01Speaker 2: met him. Misery loves company. And then we got married
- 15:06Speaker 2: to miserable. Wow. Yeah.
- 15:10Speaker 1: OK, so but I mean, was there some redeeming quality
- 15:13Speaker 1: to it? I mean, you must have. Did you enjoy
- 15:15Speaker 1: being married?
- 15:16Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely. No, no. So I fell in love with
- 15:18Speaker 2: my husband. He came to all my shows. Barrett is
- 15:21Speaker 2: the most amazing person. I mean, we fight back.
- 15:23Speaker 4: And forth, but he really showed me the light, really
- 15:28Speaker 4: gave me a path to forgiveness.
- 15:31Speaker 2: We didn't talk a lot about my past, but he
- 15:35Speaker 2: knew about it. He, you know, without his OCD stability,
- 15:40Speaker 2: as wealthy as he was, you know, I was broke.
- 15:43Speaker 2: He was rich. This thing, you know, he was using
- 15:45Speaker 2: my youth, which is priceless.
- 15:47Speaker 4: And I was, you know, we're using each other. It
- 15:49Speaker 4: wasn't like a one-sided, you know, show here.
- 15:51Speaker 2: And so together we made a great team.
- 15:54Speaker 4: You know, we would go to, I would introduce, he
- 15:56Speaker 4: was very introvert. I would introduce him to people because
- 15:57Speaker 4: I'm an extrovert. He would be very, you know, you know,
- 16:00Speaker 4: rich guy, CEO in a, you know, board meeting. And
- 16:03Speaker 4: I'd be like, Hey, and we, you know, we'd hire like, uh,
- 16:06Speaker 4: you know, Motley Crue to play at a show and we'd,
- 16:09Speaker 4: you know, here Vince Neal, here's, you know, here's my
- 16:12Speaker 4: husband Barron. And Barron would be like, hi, you know,
- 16:15Speaker 4: so we together, we made a great team for, for
- 16:18Speaker 4: 20 years. And, you know, I wouldn't, I'd still be
- 16:21Speaker 4: with him cause I was still in love with him
- 16:23Speaker 4: when I filed for divorce, but he had some, some
- 16:26Speaker 4: mishaps with other women during the marriage, um, allegedly, uh,
- 16:31Speaker 4: through the divorce process.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Um, you know, we're still, we're still friends. So, yeah. Yeah.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I was going to ask, what is your relationship now
- 16:38Speaker 1: with him? Your friends?
- 16:39Speaker 2: We're friends. And, you know, he called me a little
- 16:41Speaker 2: while ago and, and I guess he's remarried. So good
- 16:44Speaker 2: for them. Uh, he loves to be married. So, you know, whatever.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Um, and you know, he's going through some ailments with
- 16:53Speaker 4: his health right now, really serious ones.
- 16:55Speaker 2: So I told him if.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Whoever he's with, um, wasn't going to be there when
- 17:00Speaker 4: he started looking emaciated, I would be there for him.
- 17:02Speaker 2: And I'm assuming you can guess what that ailment might be. Yeah.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Oh, I'm so sorry. Well, we wish him the best
- 17:08Speaker 1: of luck, obviously.
- 17:10Speaker 2: He's lived a great life.
- 17:11Speaker 4: So, uh, but I will, I would definitely be there
- 17:14Speaker 4: for him if anything happened just because he was there
- 17:16Speaker 4: for me.
- 17:16Speaker 2: And, you know, as you, you know, just finding your
- 17:19Speaker 2: way through life as a child, getting, having that history,
- 17:23Speaker 2: feeling uncomfortable, feeling like an outcast, trying to just be
- 17:26Speaker 2: normal and, It's hard.
- 17:29Speaker 4: And he really forced me to be normal around really
- 17:31Speaker 4: wealthy people. I had to be, you know, he groomed
- 17:33Speaker 4: me to be the perfect wife, literally groomed me. And
- 17:37Speaker 4: I would say that would be bad if I wasn't
- 17:39Speaker 4: already messed up before I met him.
- 17:42Speaker 2: But it was actually a good thing.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Because I got to understand the wealth of the environment
- 17:47Speaker 4: and I got to really meet great people. And, you know,
- 17:50Speaker 4: in the end, I only am as successful as my
- 17:54Speaker 4: past is.
- 17:55Speaker 2: And my lawyers.
- 17:57Speaker 4: And ultimately I learned what, how to take care of
- 17:59Speaker 4: great homes, how to take care of yachts and jets
- 18:01Speaker 4: and helicopters.
- 18:02Speaker 2: And I knew the whole life. Right. I had to
- 18:05Speaker 2: know a little bit.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Yeah. I, you know, it's always interesting to me when
- 18:08Speaker 1: people say their marriage failed or, you know, they're upset
- 18:11Speaker 1: about the outcome of it. But I, I do think
- 18:13Speaker 1: that you're an example of someone who can take the
- 18:15Speaker 1: years that you did have with him as like a
- 18:17Speaker 1: learning experience. You grew up kind of with him. He was, um, older,
- 18:22Speaker 1: a little bit older than you, right?
- 18:24Speaker 4: Um, Yeah.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And so, you know, he, I think you probably learned
- 18:28Speaker 1: from him. He obviously, you know, learned from you, got
- 18:31Speaker 1: something from you that he needed. You kept him young,
- 18:33Speaker 1: whatever it was, you gave him a voice.
- 18:35Speaker 4: I had a father figure, but not, you know, father
- 18:40Speaker 4: figure thing.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Yeah. And I think a lot of people, you know,
- 18:43Speaker 1: have a problem with that, but at the same time, it,
- 18:45Speaker 1: you know, it's something you will always cherish. And even
- 18:47Speaker 1: though that relationship ended and it was very, um, you know,
- 18:51Speaker 1: difficult and I'm sure a lot of ups and downs
- 18:54Speaker 1: with that. I'm really happy to hear that you can
- 18:56Speaker 1: be in a place where, you know, that at the
- 18:58Speaker 1: end or when he needs you, you are someone who
- 19:00Speaker 1: will be there. I think that says a lot about you.
- 19:03Speaker 1: and him, even though you guys have gone through a
- 19:05Speaker 1: lot and may still be going through a little bit.
- 19:07Speaker 1: So I am happy to hear about that. So talk
- 19:10Speaker 1: to me about how the Housewives franchise came upon you.
- 19:16Speaker 1: How did that happen?
- 19:17Speaker 2: Oh my God, what a whirlwind. I can't even believe
- 19:19Speaker 2: I was on that show. What a crazy, crazy ride.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I was in music.
- 19:25Speaker 4: I owned a tech company, an edge music network. And
- 19:28Speaker 4: in the interim of owning that music company, I met
- 19:30Speaker 4: a rapper named Too Shorts. He's a San Francisco Bay
- 19:34Speaker 4: Area rapper. Everyone knows him.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I know him too.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Yep.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I didn't know him. And so I just, I thought
- 19:39Speaker 2: he was going to be really short when I met
- 19:41Speaker 2: him and he wasn't.
- 19:43Speaker 6: Oh, that's great.
- 19:44Speaker 1: That's so cool.
- 19:44Speaker 2: So, you know, I met him and we ended up
- 19:46Speaker 2: working together. He was really responsible. So we remained friends. Well,
- 19:49Speaker 2: during the divorce.
- 19:50Speaker 4: My ex-husband had invested a lot of money in the company.
- 19:53Speaker 4: So the judge kind of, we shut it down. because
- 19:56Speaker 4: it was both of us that owned it. You know,
- 19:58Speaker 4: I started a vodka company later, but so in the interim, uh,
- 20:02Speaker 4: Todd has this manager, David Weintraub, Weintraub.
- 20:05Speaker 2: How do you say it? Weintraub? Or I always call
- 20:07Speaker 2: him Weintraub.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Weintraub.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I think.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I've never used his last name.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Like Dick Traub. Dick Traub. Dick Traub.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Weintraub.
- 20:20Speaker 4: No, but, uh, No, so Todd said, David has an
- 20:26Speaker 4: opportunity for you.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Call David. He's my manager. I'm like, okay, whatever.
- 20:28Speaker 4: So David calls me, however this worked. I don't know
- 20:31Speaker 4: if he called me, I called him. And he's like,
- 20:32Speaker 4: there's an opening for The Housewives. And I thought it
- 20:35Speaker 4: was The Desperate Housewives with Eva Longoria.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Which I watched. I don't know.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Were you an actress?
- 20:44Speaker 2: No, but I just thought, oh my God, this would
- 20:46Speaker 2: be amazing.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 20:48Speaker 1: So at the time, had you not watched any of
- 20:51Speaker 1: the Housewives franchises?
- 20:53Speaker 2: No.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Wow.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I didn't know any of them.
- 20:55Speaker 4: I mean, I knew Kelly Dodd had partied hard with
- 20:57Speaker 4: my neighbor, Rob, and they were always kind of like
- 21:01Speaker 4: they're drinking. And I, you know, Rob was always telling
- 21:04Speaker 4: me this is a housewife and I didn't really care.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I was like, oh, reality people, you know, but then
- 21:11Speaker 2: I am one.
- 21:12Speaker 4: And then Kelly came over once and I, so I
- 21:15Speaker 4: met her once. She liked my shoe closet and then
- 21:18Speaker 4: we got along great afterwards, but we didn't like each
- 21:20Speaker 4: other at first. Then we got along, but, um, So
- 21:24Speaker 4: David says, do your hair and makeup because he knows
- 21:26Speaker 4: I don't.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Dress in your fineness. Bring your Bentley and meet me
- 21:30Speaker 2: in Burbank tomorrow.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Bring your Bentley.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Okay.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Is this deep horn? Like Burbank? Really, David? And too short.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Imagine.
- 21:39Speaker 2: What's my name?
- 21:41Speaker 4: So I drive up there. I get dressed in the
- 21:43Speaker 4: parking lot. I'm coming from other work. David holds up
- 21:47Speaker 4: a towel. I'm getting dressed. I'm trying to brush my hair.
- 21:50Speaker 4: I've got this interview and I walk in. I, I.
- 21:53Speaker 2: We put, we pull up to the building and I,
- 21:56Speaker 2: and I see this group of people sitting at the
- 21:58Speaker 2: window and I thought, Oh, cool. Maybe evil is going
- 22:00Speaker 2: to be in there. I literally thought this.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Wait, he didn't say watch a couple episodes.
- 22:07Speaker 2: No, nothing. It was like the next day.
- 22:11Speaker 4: So I think it was the next day. And David
- 22:13Speaker 4: still doesn't believe me, but this is exactly what I thought.
- 22:16Speaker 4: My brain was busy. I did not have time for
- 22:18Speaker 4: David's crap.
- 22:18Speaker 2: I didn't know if it was serious. I didn't know
- 22:20Speaker 2: what this was. And everyone says they're going to get
- 22:22Speaker 2: you on a show. Sure. So I opened the door
- 22:25Speaker 2: and there's all the Orange County Housewife posters. And I went,
- 22:30Speaker 2: my heart just went, boo.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Oh my goodness.
- 22:34Speaker 2: This is the wrong person. housewives. Oh my God. It
- 22:38Speaker 2: was like, fuck. So I just went along with it.
- 22:41Speaker 2: No big deal. I walked in thinking I'm not going
- 22:43Speaker 2: to do this. They sat me in this, this room
- 22:47Speaker 2: in the middle of this humongous, awesome looking editing studio thing,
- 22:52Speaker 2: amazing looking building with this glass room in the middle
- 22:57Speaker 2: and a boardroom table. And then all these guys come
- 22:59Speaker 2: in like, you know, very flamboyant. I was like, hi guys.
- 23:02Speaker 2: And And they were like, they told me the scoop.
- 23:05Speaker 2: You know, I listened. I told him who I was,
- 23:07Speaker 2: told him I was a divorcing parent.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Well, wait, hold on. What was their scoop? Like, what
- 23:11Speaker 1: did they want? What were they pitching to you? Were
- 23:14Speaker 1: they telling you about the show? Were they telling you
- 23:16Speaker 1: what they were looking for?
- 23:17Speaker 2: Yeah, we just both talked about the show and they
- 23:19Speaker 2: were done casting for the next season.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Right.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Then we just hit it off like this. Like, it
- 23:24Speaker 2: was awesome. They were just great producers.
- 23:26Speaker 1: But I'm curious, are they looking for a certain character
- 23:29Speaker 1: when that happens? Or are they just interviewing you and
- 23:32Speaker 1: letting you be you?
- 23:33Speaker 2: They're just interviewing you. They don't want characters. That's all you.
- 23:37Speaker 4: I mean, those, those women are those women. I mean,
- 23:40Speaker 4: off camera, we're a little more friendly, but that's how
- 23:43Speaker 4: they are. Like they, they're not, you can, you can
- 23:46Speaker 4: say bullshit, but they are who they are.
- 23:49Speaker 2: And so I just figured I wasn't going to get
- 23:52Speaker 2: the gig. So I didn't even care. So I'm just
- 23:54Speaker 2: shooting the shit, you know, talking about my ex-husband, like
- 23:56Speaker 2: I'll fuck the mistresses and the babies and the girlfriends.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And I'm just like, ah, I can't deal with this
- 24:01Speaker 2: right now. And then I leave. Well, then a couple,
- 24:04Speaker 2: I think it was a couple of days later. You
- 24:05Speaker 2: have to ask David. They go, are you sitting down?
- 24:07Speaker 2: I'm like, no. They're like, well, sit down. I'm like, oh, fuck.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Got it. And then they go, congratulations. If you want it,
- 24:18Speaker 2: you got it. Wow. Oh, my God.
- 24:22Speaker 4: And David goes, yeah, they were done casting and they
- 24:24Speaker 4: picked you. So then all the housewives that had interviewed
- 24:26Speaker 4: in Orange County were.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Pissed, apparently. But I don't know any of them. By
- 24:30Speaker 2: the way, I don't know any of them. So they
- 24:32Speaker 2: gave it to me and told me not to tell anybody.
- 24:34Speaker 3: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 24:37Speaker 3: for it?
- 24:37Speaker 5: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 24:40Speaker 5: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 24:43Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 24:45Speaker 6: It's Dunaidial.
- 24:47Speaker 4: Where?
- 24:49Speaker 6: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Do you mean.
- 24:53Speaker 6: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Lift?
- 24:56Speaker 4: Please.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Are you going past Kimmage? Oh, Kimmage.
- 24:59Speaker 2: No.
- 25:00Speaker 6: Done deal cars you couldn't possibly go anywhere.
- 25:03Speaker 4: Else but then they had me go to these parties
- 25:06Speaker 4: with all the women right so I met them all
- 25:09Speaker 4: and they didn't know I was the new housewife oh
- 25:12Speaker 4: so were.
- 25:12Speaker 1: You like hi I'm the new housewife.
- 25:14Speaker 2: No not at all I was just like meeting them
- 25:17Speaker 2: and saying hi it was like who's this and I
- 25:20Speaker 2: I thought okay I'm gonna wear a big booby dress
- 25:22Speaker 2: and I'm gonna wear blue you know Emily's birthday party
- 25:25Speaker 2: whatever it was someone's birthday party I don't remember Emily
- 25:28Speaker 2: was there. Shannon was there. That Bronwyn chick was there.
- 25:33Speaker 1: And I think you were, you were friends with Kelly
- 25:36Speaker 1: by now. No, or it was just like an acquaintance
- 25:38Speaker 1: type of thing.
- 25:39Speaker 4: No, they, they, they told me to be friends with her.
- 25:41Speaker 4: She was the only connect to the housewives. So they
- 25:44Speaker 4: kind of made Kelly be my friend.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Right.
- 25:46Speaker 4: And so we're friends now. Um, we're not BFFs by
- 25:50Speaker 4: any means, but we're friends. And so, you know, I'm
- 25:53Speaker 4: friends with Shannon as well. Emily, you know, all of
- 25:56Speaker 4: them have stayed at my houses. Um, Gina has stayed
- 25:59Speaker 4: on my beach house with her family. Emily stayed in
- 26:00Speaker 4: my desert house. Shannon brought her twins to my, their
- 26:04Speaker 4: birthdays in my desert house. You know, it's, it's, we're
- 26:06Speaker 4: friends and we, we share stuff and we do stuff,
- 26:09Speaker 4: but we're not like, you know, and Kelly, you know,
- 26:13Speaker 4: she's we've gone out sometimes and she and Rick, when
- 26:17Speaker 4: they were buying stuff, they would stay at my, I mean, we,
- 26:20Speaker 4: we kind of just mingle.
- 26:21Speaker 2: We're, we're fine. But in the beginning, I didn't know anybody.
- 26:24Speaker 4: And I was really trying to say hi to everybody
- 26:26Speaker 4: because they wanted me to meet people. So I met
- 26:28Speaker 4: one photo to send to the producers. So I ended
- 26:31Speaker 4: up accomplishing that goal. And then the first party, Bronwyn,
- 26:34Speaker 4: we went to this other bar and I was trying
- 26:36Speaker 4: to get to know Bronwyn, another party. And she tried
- 26:39Speaker 4: to make out with me and I denied her. And
- 26:41Speaker 4: ever since then, she hated me.
- 26:42Speaker 2: So she- Time out.
- 26:45Speaker 1: So I said time out. Wait, hold on. So I'm
- 26:48Speaker 1: so confused by this. When you started the season, had
- 26:51Speaker 1: she already come out as being a lesbian or bi
- 26:55Speaker 1: or whatever?
- 26:57Speaker 2: I didn't watch any of it. So what happened was
- 27:00Speaker 2: I watched a couple of the old shows, first show
- 27:03Speaker 2: of every season, because it gives you a recap so
- 27:06Speaker 2: I could see who these women were. And I never
- 27:08Speaker 2: watched one with Bronwyn in it because she was new.
- 27:12Speaker 4: So I didn't get to watch that one. And so
- 27:14Speaker 4: I didn't know who she was, but I was told
- 27:16Speaker 4: she was a housewife.
- 27:18Speaker 1: But in your season, she was dealing with her alcoholism, correct?
- 27:21Speaker 1: And she was still with her husband?
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah, alcoholism. And I think she's always been dealing with that.
- 27:28Speaker 2: And I hope her the best on that. And her
- 27:32Speaker 2: coming out as a lesbo. But the issue with.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Her, come on. Bless her heart. All these people are
- 27:41Speaker 1: coming out as late in life lesbians. Are we supposed
- 27:43Speaker 1: to do that too?
- 27:44Speaker 2: I mean, okay.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Okay. I dabbled in high school later on, you know,
- 27:49Speaker 4: I gave my ex-husband a few flings here and there,
- 27:51Speaker 4: but you know, it wasn't like, oh my God, I
- 27:53Speaker 4: really want to look bush for the rest of my life.
- 27:57Speaker 4: It doesn't quite, but I think, I think that, you know,
- 28:01Speaker 4: I think Bronwyn has tendencies.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I think she has an addiction issue.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Like having children and alcohol, addicted to the camera, addicted
- 28:10Speaker 4: to fame, addicted to children, baby bearing, and addicted to
- 28:15Speaker 4: alcohol and whatever other drug. And so she was definitely
- 28:23Speaker 4: really struggling and she put it on me. They tried
- 28:26Speaker 4: to make her my friend. as if I was just
- 28:29Speaker 4: as dysfunctional as she was. And it was humiliating because
- 28:32Speaker 4: I'm like, dude, this woman is a different level of dysfunction.
- 28:36Speaker 4: I've got childhood issues. So she actually made friends with
- 28:39Speaker 4: my ex-husband. She found his phone number online and contacted him.
- 28:44Speaker 4: And then my ex-husband's current girlfriend at that time knew
- 28:48Speaker 4: about my history because Barrett had told her. And apparently
- 28:52Speaker 4: she told Bronwyn about my church cult. And then Bronwyn,
- 28:56Speaker 4: to get to use on the show as my storyline.
- 29:01Speaker 2: So they brought it.
- 29:02Speaker 4: Out on camera that day that I had the real
- 29:04Speaker 4: panic attack. I didn't know they were bringing it up.
- 29:06Speaker 4: I had no idea it was even going to come
- 29:07Speaker 4: out on the show. And so Bronwyn was a big,
- 29:12Speaker 4: now I look back at it and I've helped so
- 29:13Speaker 4: many women with it coming out that it's a blessing.
- 29:16Speaker 4: But at the time it was really, really shitty of really,
- 29:21Speaker 4: really shitty of Bronwyn to, tell the producers and have
- 29:25Speaker 4: them force me to talk about it on camera in
- 29:27Speaker 4: the middle of Lake Arrowhead on a trail with cameras
- 29:30Speaker 4: around me with Brahman, who.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I couldn't stand.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Right.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Cause you know, I, I couldn't stand her. And I,
- 29:38Speaker 2: thought it was real. That was a real emotion.
- 29:39Speaker 4: She was so fake that I don't like to be
- 29:41Speaker 4: around that energy and I'm a real big energy person.
- 29:44Speaker 4: And that energy was just putting me with her, trying
- 29:49Speaker 4: to make me friends. And I just felt this goo
- 29:52Speaker 4: every time I was around her. And so I'm hoping
- 29:55Speaker 4: now she's a little bit better, but, um, It was,
- 29:59Speaker 4: she was having some, she let it all out of me.
- 30:01Speaker 4: I was her soundboard for her negativity during the whole show.
- 30:06Speaker 4: So the season was really dark with her in it.
- 30:10Speaker 2: I even, I don't pray.
- 30:12Speaker 4: And I just kept saying, okay, angels, help this woman.
- 30:15Speaker 4: She's fighting alcoholism, lesbianism, husbandism, childrenism, living situationism, housekeeperism, whatever
- 30:24Speaker 4: she was.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Fighting, she was fighting.
- 30:26Speaker 4: And you know, at the end of the day, the
- 30:31Speaker 4: season was extremely dark, COVID hit, and it just became
- 30:34Speaker 4: a disaster.
- 30:35Speaker 2: And, but it's one of the number one rerun shows.
- 30:39Speaker 2: So that's, that's good. Yeah.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Talk about that for a minute. What was it like
- 30:42Speaker 1: filming during COVID? Did you, how did that work?
- 30:44Speaker 2: Oh, disaster.
- 30:45Speaker 4: I mean, they were extremely professional, but I didn't get
- 30:49Speaker 4: one red carpet, no press, no watch happens live, film
- 30:53Speaker 4: my testimonials in my, in my garage with boob sweat
- 30:57Speaker 4: and nobody Nobody, no air makeup. It was just basically, okay, action. And,
- 31:03Speaker 4: you know, the producers were out in.
- 31:04Speaker 2: A van, you know, and you can't have air conditioning
- 31:10Speaker 2: on because of sound. I mean, it just, it was
- 31:12Speaker 2: just like weird. And, and, you know, we had a
- 31:15Speaker 2: COVID person there and, uh, you know, or we'd get
- 31:19Speaker 2: shut down.
- 31:20Speaker 4: You couldn't, I didn't get to meet any of the girls,
- 31:22Speaker 4: but they just kept forcing Brahman down my throat.
- 31:25Speaker 2: And I was like, dude, stop it. We're not going
- 31:27Speaker 2: to be friends. I'm not gonna be friends with that
- 31:29Speaker 2: energy right now. I'm going through a divorce. I can't
- 31:31Speaker 2: deal with that energy.
- 31:32Speaker 4: So I didn't really get to get close to any
- 31:34Speaker 4: of the girls because they just shoved ramen down my
- 31:36Speaker 4: throat the whole season. Wow.
- 31:38Speaker 1: So it wasn't like you spent as much time with
- 31:41Speaker 1: everyone as they made it seem and that you became,
- 31:44Speaker 1: you know, immersed in everyone's life like they made it
- 31:46Speaker 1: seem on the on the season.
- 31:49Speaker 4: They did a really good job of editing, which I
- 31:51Speaker 4: think they always do. Excellent producers, excellent camera crew. They
- 31:56Speaker 4: worked their butts off to be compliant with COVID. It
- 31:58Speaker 4: was a whole different ballgame.
- 32:00Speaker 2: I mean, it was awesome.
- 32:03Speaker 1: But it's not like you created some, you know, I've
- 32:06Speaker 1: been on a reality show where you almost feel like
- 32:08Speaker 1: that becomes your TV family, you know, because you're put
- 32:12Speaker 1: into scenarios with them. You trust them. They're going through
- 32:15Speaker 1: the same thing you're going through with all the press. So, no,
- 32:18Speaker 1: you did not have that.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Afterwards I did. We all took a deep breath and
- 32:22Speaker 2: we're like, oh my God, we lived through COVID on
- 32:24Speaker 2: a TV show. Yeah. Couldn't believe it.
- 32:26Speaker 4: We were like, afterwards we all were like friends because
- 32:31Speaker 4: of that unity.
- 32:32Speaker 2: We all were like, okay.
- 32:33Speaker 4: I mean, not Bronwyn, she won't talk to any of us,
- 32:35Speaker 4: but we kind of all laughed about it. Like, wow,
- 32:38Speaker 4: we filmed a season in COVID. What?
- 32:42Speaker 2: It was just insane. Yeah.
- 32:43Speaker 1: It's pretty miraculous. So how did you learn that you
- 32:46Speaker 1: were no longer coming back?
- 32:49Speaker 2: The day they were supposed to announce me.
- 32:51Speaker 1: And they told you they were going to bring you back, right?
- 32:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 4: I spent $ 45, 000 and a month worth of negotiating contracts
- 32:57Speaker 4: with Bravo for months.
- 33:06Speaker 2: You know, that show five seasons. What do you mean?
- 33:09Speaker 1: What do you mean about that? I'm curious. Cause you
- 33:11Speaker 1: were like, you got to pay to play kind of
- 33:13Speaker 1: talk about that. Why did you spend?
- 33:15Speaker 2: Well, I'm not going to mention that.
- 33:17Speaker 4: Um, but there is, I, there, I'm just saying that, uh,
- 33:22Speaker 4: they hired, uh, what's her name? The Burnett, um, Heather,
- 33:27Speaker 4: Heather Dubrow and her husband's on botched, you know, they're
- 33:30Speaker 4: produced by the same production team. Yeah. Um, it was, um,
- 33:35Speaker 4: either me, the newbie, and she really wanted, really wanted
- 33:38Speaker 4: back on the show. You know, they need to be
- 33:40Speaker 4: more relevant with his business, stuff like that. And she's
- 33:44Speaker 4: great on camera.
- 33:44Speaker 2: She's really controversial.
- 33:46Speaker 4: And I think, you know, and they have, they have
- 33:48Speaker 4: real money and, you know, like I do, we would
- 33:51Speaker 4: have been great on the show together because we both
- 33:53Speaker 4: have wealth and her husband's funny, you know, he's got
- 33:58Speaker 4: his own show. And so when they announced her and
- 34:01Speaker 4: fired me the same day, It was shocking.
- 34:05Speaker 2: But I know she'd been telling them, you know, they
- 34:09Speaker 2: had to pick somebody to fire. And I was the
- 34:11Speaker 2: easiest person to fire. Yeah.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Because they had to get rid of, you know, I mean, and.
- 34:16Speaker 2: I totally get it.
- 34:18Speaker 4: And I was disappointed to say the least because of
- 34:21Speaker 4: my investors, because we had a Vargas vodka deal where,
- 34:25Speaker 4: you know, if the company took off, they get a percent.
- 34:27Speaker 4: You know, there's there was a good negotiable term in
- 34:29Speaker 4: there because Bethany Frankel from Skinny Girl Vodka in New
- 34:33Speaker 4: York didn't have.
- 34:33Speaker 2: A contract with Bravo.
- 34:35Speaker 4: So they knew that if I was launching a vodka,
- 34:36Speaker 4: they better get a contract because then that's revenue in
- 34:39Speaker 4: their pocket. So it was weird. Like I had to
- 34:43Speaker 4: go back to my investors and say, I just got fired.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Like there goes our marketing.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:50Speaker 4: So it was, it was, it was difficult. And David
- 34:53Speaker 4: was in Mexico in a pool and having fun. I
- 34:56Speaker 4: think on his honeymoon, when he told me that day
- 35:00Speaker 4: and I was, I'd already celebrated all weekend.
- 35:02Speaker 2: It was weird.
- 35:04Speaker 4: And I didn't know they could just fire you like that.
- 35:06Speaker 4: I had no idea. I had lawyers in New York
- 35:09Speaker 4: that drafted the contracts. I just assumed they took care
- 35:11Speaker 4: of me.
- 35:14Speaker 1: So you were not the only one they let go
- 35:18Speaker 1: of though, that season. It was you and Kelly.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Kelly and Bronwyn.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Oh, and Bronwyn too.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Right.
- 35:26Speaker 1: So what happened? What were your thoughts? What was life
- 35:29Speaker 1: going to be like after you had been this big
- 35:32Speaker 1: TV star?
- 35:34Speaker 2: Well, first off, I didn't feel like a star at all.
- 35:36Speaker 2: I got no press. I didn't even know what to expect.
- 35:39Speaker 2: I didn't see anybody.
- 35:41Speaker 4: I didn't even get a post. I didn't get a nothing.
- 35:44Speaker 4: So I didn't even experience any celebrity at all from
- 35:47Speaker 4: that show at first. Um, I just knew that they
- 35:51Speaker 4: had fired me along with Kelly, whose, you know, her
- 35:53Speaker 4: statement was COVID is, what did she say?
- 35:57Speaker 2: Something about fitting the herd. So I was categorized with
- 36:00Speaker 2: her and lesbian Bronwyn and getting fired. So I was
- 36:04Speaker 2: a little like, what the fuck? This is awesome.
- 36:08Speaker 4: And I'm like the child molested, you know, church cult chick.
- 36:12Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, yeah, great.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Well, but that must have been hard, actually, because you
- 36:17Speaker 1: really let yourself open up on that show, which you
- 36:19Speaker 1: were not a public figure before that. And that must
- 36:21Speaker 1: have been really difficult to let that come out, to
- 36:24Speaker 1: talk openly about your divorce and your husband, you know,
- 36:28Speaker 1: allegedly cheating and having a mistress and blah, blah, blah.
- 36:31Speaker 1: And that must have been hard to then all of
- 36:32Speaker 1: a sudden be like, OK, well, we took all this information.
- 36:34Speaker 2: And now we're done.
- 36:35Speaker 1: And now we're done.
- 36:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:38Speaker 3: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 36:41Speaker 3: for it?
- 36:41Speaker 5: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 36:44Speaker 5: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 36:47Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 36:49Speaker 6: It's Dunaidial.
- 36:51Speaker 4: Where?
- 36:53Speaker 6: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Do you mean.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Lift? Please. Are you going past Kimmage?
- 37:02Speaker 2: Oh, Kimmage. No.
- 37:05Speaker 6: Don't deal cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Through a chance to have your own narrative later.
- 37:10Speaker 2: And I didn't get paid. I gave David 100% of
- 37:15Speaker 2: my paycheck. Why? Because we had a five-year term. Oh,
- 37:19Speaker 2: my God.
- 37:20Speaker 4: 100 year the first year, and then we had four
- 37:22Speaker 4: more years, so then we were going to... I had
- 37:24Speaker 4: a negotiable term with David as well. So I didn't
- 37:27Speaker 4: make a dime, not even a cent. In fact, I
- 37:31Speaker 4: spent money on the show because they.
- 37:34Speaker 2: for no reason. Like I had to buy dresses and
- 37:36Speaker 2: I had to pay for my own hair and makeup. Um,
- 37:39Speaker 2: cause you know, during COVID their excuse was, well, we
- 37:41Speaker 2: can't pay. You're not allowed to have one. So if
- 37:43Speaker 2: you want one secretly, you need to do that.
- 37:46Speaker 4: So it was a slap in the face that they
- 37:49Speaker 4: just took every piece of me, of my soul, of
- 37:53Speaker 4: my history, of my gut, of my family, of my ex-husband.
- 37:58Speaker 2: And then just said, you know what? Fuck you. We're done. Thanks.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Piss off.
- 38:02Speaker 3: That's, that's how I felt.
- 38:03Speaker 4: And I exited gracefully because if the ratings aren't there,
- 38:09Speaker 4: the money's not coming in, the sponsors aren't there, then
- 38:13Speaker 4: they need to figure out the formula.
- 38:16Speaker 2: And apparently I wasn't in that formula. And that's fine.
- 38:20Speaker 4: I'm certainly glad they got rid of who they did
- 38:22Speaker 4: because now they have a chance to revamp it.
- 38:24Speaker 2: And it's taken them a couple of years. And I
- 38:25Speaker 2: think they're doing a really good job. They brought Tamara.
- 38:27Speaker 2: They brought the crew back, which I really wanted to
- 38:30Speaker 2: work with. I wanted to work with Tamara and Vicki
- 38:33Speaker 2: and everybody, and I didn't even get to. I got
- 38:35Speaker 2: a crew that I was like, what is going on here?
- 38:39Speaker 1: Do you know them? Because you're a former, you've gotten
- 38:44Speaker 1: a chance to meet them?
- 38:44Speaker 2: Well, I knew Tamara from the beginning. I was buying
- 38:47Speaker 2: her CBD products, and they were great.
- 38:49Speaker 4: I couldn't sleep at night during my divorce. So Tamara
- 38:51Speaker 4: got me through my divorce with her CBD.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I would buy it all the time. Um, yeah.
- 38:57Speaker 2: So I'd write her and I'm like, dude, you're like
- 38:58Speaker 2: helping out with my divorce. I love you. I know
- 39:00Speaker 2: you're on the show. Congratulations. Uh, whatever.
- 39:02Speaker 4: And then, uh, Vicki, I use her insurance, uh, company
- 39:04Speaker 4: Kodo for all my properties. So she's insured my desert property. Uh,
- 39:10Speaker 4: she just got this one insured. I just, she's taking
- 39:12Speaker 4: care of this new estate here. She's potentially going to
- 39:15Speaker 4: be insuring my beach property and my Washington state property. So,
- 39:20Speaker 4: you know, she's got a great, uh, team behind her.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Vicki does. She got a great company. People are making
- 39:25Speaker 2: fun of her. her team's on it. So whatever.
- 39:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:29Speaker 3: All right.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Well, that's, good to know. But that seems interesting that
- 39:31Speaker 1: you have sort of more friendships or acquaintances in a
- 39:35Speaker 1: real way with people that are, you know, now on
- 39:38Speaker 1: the show or the OGs more than you did when
- 39:41Speaker 1: you were picked to be on the show randomly.
- 39:43Speaker 5: Correct.
- 39:44Speaker 1: So let's talk for a second before we get off
- 39:46Speaker 1: this topic about the reality reckoning thing that's going on
- 39:50Speaker 1: right now. You obviously went through this for, yeah, you
- 39:53Speaker 1: went through this for a year. Talk to me about
- 39:55Speaker 1: if you feel like this is valid. You know, if
- 40:01Speaker 1: you feel like there was any sort of abuse going on,
- 40:03Speaker 1: did you witness it? Did you go through it? I mean,
- 40:05Speaker 1: we know what you went through as far as being
- 40:07Speaker 1: let go and not being able to tell your story
- 40:10Speaker 1: after you were very open. But what are your thoughts
- 40:13Speaker 1: about this whole thing?
- 40:15Speaker 4: Um, it's very difficult to talk about this, uh, but
- 40:19Speaker 4: I will say I.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Knew what I was getting into. I read the contract.
- 40:26Speaker 4: I knew the terms they own me and whatever happened
- 40:30Speaker 4: on that show they own. And there's nothing I could
- 40:33Speaker 4: do about it because of the preliminary terms of the
- 40:36Speaker 4: agreement before I was filmed. So yes, I feel taken
- 40:41Speaker 4: advantage of.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Yes.
- 40:43Speaker 4: I feel They could just fire you without any remorse
- 40:48Speaker 4: or recourse. I feel like a piece of shit. Like
- 40:55Speaker 4: I was just like a piece of paper. They're like, okay,
- 40:58Speaker 4: the script's over. But I knew what I was getting into.
- 41:03Speaker 4: And it's always been that way where we are nobodies
- 41:07Speaker 4: to anybody.
- 41:08Speaker 2: We are disposable. It's the worst possible place to be in.
- 41:11Speaker 4: So whatever happens with that situation, for future reality stars
- 41:15Speaker 4: will probably benefit the reality stars in a good way.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Um, but when I was on there, I knew what
- 41:22Speaker 2: I was getting into and I'm the era of the
- 41:27Speaker 2: old way.
- 41:28Speaker 4: And when the new way comes about, then it'll be
- 41:30Speaker 4: a lot more people with stability.
- 41:33Speaker 2: They're not going to get quite the crate.
- 41:34Speaker 4: You're not going to get the crazies that you get
- 41:36Speaker 4: on that show when you have more contracts, that's for sure.
- 41:40Speaker 1: But do you think that people are acting out and
- 41:42Speaker 1: being crazy and doing all these things that they wouldn't
- 41:44Speaker 1: necessarily do because they think it'll get them a bigger
- 41:47Speaker 1: paycheck and it'll keep them on the show and they
- 41:50Speaker 1: know what they're doing? Or do you think that they're
- 41:52Speaker 1: being abused to act this way and it's not of
- 41:56Speaker 1: their own doing? Do you know what I mean? Like
- 41:58Speaker 1: some people are saying it's not their fault.
- 42:01Speaker 2: It's just their own doing. They're alcoholics. They're drinking on
- 42:03Speaker 2: their own. They were already drinking. They love the fame. 100%.
- 42:11Speaker 2: I mean, after I started getting recognized, I loved it.
- 42:13Speaker 2: I was like, wow, this is cool.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Talk to me about that. Cause you said at the
- 42:17Speaker 1: beginning that did not happen. So when did it happen
- 42:19Speaker 1: and what was it like? How did it change your life?
- 42:22Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. I mean, I don't, I, it was crazy.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I was in the, in London at a concert and I,
- 42:29Speaker 2: at this hotel random that I got on bookings.com.
- 42:33Speaker 4: And this woman's like, oh my God, she has an accent.
- 42:35Speaker 4: I can't say it, but you're, you're Elizabeth Vargas from
- 42:38Speaker 4: the Orange County housewives. I'm like, My brother and everybody
- 42:41Speaker 4: was sitting there and they're like, we're at Duran Duran concert.
- 42:45Speaker 2: And I'm like, holy shit. We were in.
- 42:49Speaker 3: Scotland.
- 42:50Speaker 2: I got recognized everywhere, all over the airports. I was
- 42:53Speaker 2: in Iceland recognized. Everywhere I go, people are like, and
- 42:57Speaker 2: it's a great feeling. They're like, we love you. And
- 42:59Speaker 2: I'm like, you do? And I felt blessed. One woman
- 43:04Speaker 2: even came up to me.
- 43:05Speaker 4: I mean, it's so cool because And she's like, my
- 43:08Speaker 4: daughter went through a similar situation that you did with
- 43:11Speaker 4: my ex-husband who had forced her to go to this situation.
- 43:13Speaker 4: And I want you to know that you really helped
- 43:16Speaker 4: her get through a lot of steps that she needed
- 43:18Speaker 4: to really see when you had.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Opened up about that.
- 43:22Speaker 4: And I was at my house on the boardwalk and
- 43:25Speaker 4: she started crying in front of me.
- 43:27Speaker 2: And I said, here, just give me a hug. So
- 43:28Speaker 2: I leaned over. I mean, I don't even know this
- 43:30Speaker 2: woman from Adam. And I gave her a hug.
- 43:32Speaker 4: And she just started bawling because she was so happy
- 43:35Speaker 4: that they rewatched that episode.
- 43:37Speaker 2: So for me, the fame wasn't, Oh my God, I'm famous.
- 43:41Speaker 2: You know, hold on. It was very spiritual for me
- 43:47Speaker 2: to cleanse and I'm very thrilled.
- 43:50Speaker 4: So that's why I can't say anything bad about it.
- 43:52Speaker 4: Cause as mad as I was, the positive is coming
- 43:56Speaker 4: out of it. And there's a lot of women being
- 43:58Speaker 4: helped for me, but as far as those women are,
- 44:01Speaker 4: They're already like that.
- 44:02Speaker 2: They're not being forced. They're drinking on their own. I
- 44:04Speaker 2: didn't drink. They asked me to drink. I didn't drink. Yeah.
- 44:08Speaker 1: I mean, I think, I think it is interesting that
- 44:09Speaker 1: people are claiming that they were forced to do things
- 44:12Speaker 1: or put in a bad circumstance. And, You know, it's
- 44:16Speaker 1: an odd thing to not say, but I'm my own person.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I have my own free will. If I don't want
- 44:21Speaker 1: to do something, I'm not going to, no matter what
- 44:23Speaker 1: I'm being paid. And unfortunately, a lot of the news
- 44:26Speaker 1: is people commenting on things they don't really know about.
- 44:28Speaker 1: So we will see how all of that plays out, right?
- 44:32Speaker 2: Well, also, I can speak on that a little bit.
- 44:35Speaker 2: So when you are on set, the producers do egg
- 44:38Speaker 2: you on like, oh, so-and-so said this. Did you know that?
- 44:41Speaker 2: You're kind of like, what? When? Well, she's confirming this
- 44:46Speaker 2: on another scene over there. And you're like, huh? And
- 44:50Speaker 2: you get angry. And then they're like, yeah, you guys
- 44:54Speaker 2: need to go to the bar. They don't say, here,
- 44:57Speaker 2: drink this, get wasted and be stupid and go borrow
- 44:59Speaker 2: your Spanx between your thighs. You know, I mean, that's,
- 45:04Speaker 2: you know, Vicky and Tamara, you gas those two. That
- 45:08Speaker 2: was their own free will. All their craziness.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:13Speaker 3: Okay.
- 45:14Speaker 1: So life since Real Housewives of Orange County, you had
- 45:19Speaker 1: to start over. You were ending your marriage still, right?
- 45:23Speaker 1: You were getting out of that. A lot of people
- 45:24Speaker 1: think you were given a lot of money. He was
- 45:26Speaker 1: a billionaire. How did you move on? How did you
- 45:29Speaker 1: decide that you were going to make it on your own?
- 45:33Speaker 2: This is the big misconception.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Once you get divorced and you're awarded a specific amount
- 45:41Speaker 4: via a court order, which we ended up settling out
- 45:46Speaker 4: of court primarily. And then we ended our divorce with
- 45:50Speaker 4: the mediator. So there was some on the divorce papers,
- 45:54Speaker 4: but mainly it was outside of the divorce. It was
- 45:57Speaker 4: an agreement between us for stock options and things like that.
- 46:00Speaker 4: But once you finalize, they still can fight. Then you
- 46:07Speaker 4: gotta have to get a collection lawyer to collect. So
- 46:11Speaker 4: it's like child support. You know, you can win child support,
- 46:13Speaker 4: but if they don't.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Pay, they don't pay.
- 46:14Speaker 4: So I was awarded stock options, a significant amount for
- 46:18Speaker 4: American Seafoods. And he did what he did so that
- 46:27Speaker 4: I couldn't have him transferred to my name illegally. So
- 46:30Speaker 4: I had to then acquire a lawyer, which I still
- 46:32Speaker 4: have a lawyer. We're going through the process of trying
- 46:36Speaker 4: to get what is owed to me, and I have
- 46:38Speaker 4: not gotten a dime yet. He does deposit like a $ 5, 000 deposit.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Into my account. Like on occasion, five grand. I'm always laughing.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Everyone's like, God, you're so rich. You must be nice
- 46:51Speaker 2: to have X, have his money. I'm like, would you
- 46:53Speaker 2: like to see the bank account that he is supposed
- 46:55Speaker 2: to be depositing into? So I ended up.
- 46:59Speaker 4: Knowing that it was going to be a process to
- 47:02Speaker 4: collect from him. And I said, okay, um, In my divorce,
- 47:09Speaker 4: I lived in a 350 square foot apartment and rented
- 47:12Speaker 4: my beach house to pay my lawyer fees. I rented
- 47:15Speaker 4: it out for $ 2, 700 to $ 4, 000 a day and lived
- 47:18Speaker 4: in that beach house, 350 square foot for a full.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Year during the housewives. No way. I did interviews and
- 47:25Speaker 2: Brahman made fun of me. Oh, she's not rich. She
- 47:28Speaker 2: lives in it. I'm like, yeah, it's a 300.
- 47:29Speaker 4: I had all my clothes and my dog and a
- 47:31Speaker 4: 350 square foot down the street. I checked in 45
- 47:34Speaker 4: people in my beach house, VIPs. I have 45 five stars.
- 47:39Speaker 4: I rented it out and realized I can make buku
- 47:43Speaker 4: bucks on this house. I showed the judge that I'm
- 47:46Speaker 4: capable of making my own money from that house. The
- 47:49Speaker 4: judge awarded me the house because I paid most of
- 47:50Speaker 4: the payment, almost all the payments.
- 47:52Speaker 2: He didn't pay any of them.
- 47:54Speaker 4: So the judge awarded me the beach house. So then
- 47:56Speaker 4: I was like, holy shit, this is how I got
- 47:57Speaker 4: into real estate. I was like, I kept living in
- 48:01Speaker 4: that apartment even after my divorce and renting my beach
- 48:04Speaker 4: house because that was just 2,700, 4,000 a day. I mean,
- 48:08Speaker 4: think about it, your account. And then I didn't have
- 48:10Speaker 4: to give it to my lawyers.
- 48:11Speaker 2: I was like, oh my God, this is great. I
- 48:15Speaker 2: don't care if I'm sweating and there's no central air.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Was it hard to find people to rent it or
- 48:20Speaker 1: there was.
- 48:21Speaker 2: A- 10% on top for short-term rental on top of
- 48:31Speaker 2: 10% to VRBO. So that's 20%. And then I had
- 48:34Speaker 2: a private chef, private drivers.
- 48:36Speaker 4: I hosted, I even cleaned the whole place myself because
- 48:39Speaker 4: I was like, you know, I had maids.
- 48:41Speaker 3: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 48:44Speaker 3: for it?
- 48:45Speaker 5: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 48:47Speaker 5: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 48:50Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 48:52Speaker 6: It's Dune ADL.
- 48:54Speaker 3: Where?
- 48:56Speaker 6: Dune ADL. There's an accent on the E.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Do you mean?
- 49:01Speaker 6: Yes, I got it on Done Deal Cars.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Lift, please.
- 49:04Speaker 3: You're going past Kimmage?
- 49:05Speaker 6: Oh, Kimmage.
- 49:06Speaker 2: No.
- 49:08Speaker 6: Done Deal Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 49:10Speaker 2: I gave him robes and I gave the women eye masks. And,
- 49:14Speaker 2: you know, I know VIP.
- 49:15Speaker 4: My ex-husband was wealthy. We stayed in, you know, five-star
- 49:18Speaker 4: resorts worldwide. I knew what wealthy people wanted. All my
- 49:21Speaker 4: guests flew in in private jets and I.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Had a service go pick them up. White glove the
- 49:25Speaker 2: whole way. So it was awesome.
- 49:27Speaker 4: I had celebrities stay there, wealthy, you know, Madison Club,
- 49:31Speaker 4: Discovery Land Company people staying there.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Everybody stayed there.
- 49:34Speaker 4: It was awesome. And then I finally, you know, made
- 49:38Speaker 4: enough money where I got an investor, bought another property.
- 49:42Speaker 4: I started buying properties and also using my own money
- 49:45Speaker 4: and then paying the investors back for those properties, being
- 49:49Speaker 4: able to rent short term.
- 49:50Speaker 2: And now I've created this real estate empire that's insane.
- 49:54Speaker 4: Worth over $ 30 million on my own. I was like,
- 49:59Speaker 4: how did I do this? And people think I'm lying.
- 50:02Speaker 4: And then they look up all the titles. They're like,
- 50:05Speaker 4: she's not bullshitting.
- 50:07Speaker 2: And so I'm very proud of my real estate. but
- 50:09Speaker 2: it just happened, uh, that I just worked my ass
- 50:13Speaker 2: off and just, wow. Yeah.
- 50:16Speaker 1: And I mean, you just have such an entrepreneurial spirit
- 50:18Speaker 1: behind you, obviously. So how did you come up with
- 50:20Speaker 1: the idea for your vodka line?
- 50:23Speaker 4: Um, well, I got divorced and the tech company got
- 50:27Speaker 4: shut down. And in the interim of doing the real
- 50:29Speaker 4: estate that was getting me by, I could still maintain
- 50:32Speaker 4: a living lifestyle without money from my ex. Um, I
- 50:37Speaker 4: wanted a product that was not tech, that was very simplified.
- 50:40Speaker 4: And I thought it was COVID. And I said, well,
- 50:42Speaker 4: what are, what is people doing? They're getting hammered. And
- 50:48Speaker 4: so I launched a vodka. I pitched John Paul DeGioia,
- 50:50Speaker 4: the founder of Patron Tequila. And he, he said yes.
- 50:56Speaker 4: And it took us a year to find the formula.
- 50:57Speaker 4: We launched during COVID on 12, 2020, 2020.
- 51:01Speaker 2: And we went viral. We're a 9,000 locations, almost 12 States.
- 51:04Speaker 2: We're in 11 States, almost 12 and six countries.
- 51:07Speaker 1: So I'm always curious. How do you come up with
- 51:10Speaker 1: a new vodka line? You, you just, you put all
- 51:13Speaker 1: the mixtures together to make it taste different. Like what
- 51:15Speaker 1: did you do for it?
- 51:17Speaker 2: You have to have a formulator. So you obviously have
- 51:19Speaker 2: a vodka formulator. You have to have your own distillery.
- 51:22Speaker 2: So you can't utilize the third party distillery.
- 51:24Speaker 4: So John Paul built me a distillery. He's found a
- 51:27Speaker 4: Patron tequila. He knows alcohol. He doesn't know vodka. Didn't,
- 51:32Speaker 4: never drinks vodka, but he, you know, he said, why
- 51:35Speaker 4: are you a pro at this? And I said, I
- 51:36Speaker 4: drink a lot of it.
- 51:37Speaker 1: That makes you a pro.
- 51:41Speaker 4: And then when we found a formula, I picked the
- 51:43Speaker 4: most expensive vodka to distill seven times.
- 51:47Speaker 2: One of the most expensive. So he knew that I
- 51:49Speaker 2: knew vodka. He knew that I had quality. And he's like, yes,
- 51:51Speaker 2: I'll do it.
- 51:52Speaker 4: So built me a distillery, started distilling the vodka here
- 51:56Speaker 4: in Northern California.
- 51:58Speaker 2: We moved the distillery recently to Modesto. Um, you know, uh,
- 52:03Speaker 2: found the formula beautifully clean, seven times distilled. You know,
- 52:07Speaker 2: you have to have specific ingredients and the way they
- 52:09Speaker 2: distill it.
- 52:09Speaker 4: Um, you know, you can't give away your secrets, but, uh,
- 52:12Speaker 4: John Paul's very, very, very keen on how to distill
- 52:15Speaker 4: alcohol properly. And luckily his distiller is top notch. Um,
- 52:20Speaker 4: we have nothing but positive results from the vodka. People
- 52:23Speaker 4: rarely get hangovers cause we have clean corn. The farms
- 52:27Speaker 4: that we get the corn from are very organic. You're
- 52:31Speaker 4: not going to get that. Like with potato, you get chemicals.
- 52:35Speaker 4: Farmers have chemicals.
- 52:36Speaker 2: They have pesticides and everything.
- 52:39Speaker 4: So how do you get a clean potato? How do
- 52:41Speaker 4: you get clean corn without all the pesticides? You've got
- 52:45Speaker 4: to really work hard and spend a lot of money
- 52:47Speaker 4: not to get pesticides on that corn or potato because
- 52:49Speaker 4: that pesticide is going to go into your formula.
- 52:52Speaker 2: So you're going to get a hangover because you're going
- 52:54Speaker 2: to have all these chemicals no matter what. how gluten-free
- 52:56Speaker 2: it is, you're still going to have pesticides in that vodka.
- 52:59Speaker 2: So we are extremely clean. We're very proud of it.
- 53:02Speaker 2: And it's very difficult and very expensive to make.
- 53:05Speaker 4: We are the same price as Chopin, but because it
- 53:08Speaker 4: was COVID, we decided to launch at Tito's prices.
- 53:11Speaker 2: And we're killing it. So.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah. I was going to ask you what your price,
- 53:14Speaker 1: what your price point is. So where, where could people
- 53:16Speaker 1: get it right now?
- 53:18Speaker 4: BevMo, High Times, Total Wine, anywhere online. And you just
- 53:22Speaker 4: Google Vargas vodka. Um, Your local grocery store, your local
- 53:25Speaker 4: liquor store. We're at 4,000 locations in California alone.
- 53:30Speaker 2: Obviously, California is our hometown. We're in New York, Florida, Texas.
- 53:36Speaker 1: I'm going to look for it today. I'm excited.
- 53:41Speaker 2: I'll send you. Well, can I send you? Where are
- 53:44Speaker 2: you located exactly?
- 53:45Speaker 1: In Palm Beach.
- 53:47Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 53:48Speaker 2: You should. Okay.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Do we have it here?
- 53:51Speaker 2: You have it there. So I'll find out where.
- 53:53Speaker 1: OK, I'm going to look for it and then I'll
- 53:55Speaker 1: tell you how hard it was for me to find it,
- 53:56Speaker 1: because I think you would be interested to know, like
- 53:59Speaker 1: if it's readily available for people. Do you know what
- 54:01Speaker 1: I mean?
- 54:01Speaker 2: Like, absolutely. Well, it's not because we just launched. Oh, yeah.
- 54:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:06Speaker 2: 24 months is not very long, but we're doing.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Oh, it's amazing. It's amazing. So but so you did
- 54:11Speaker 1: not have that during the season when you were on
- 54:13Speaker 1: the show, right?
- 54:15Speaker 2: No, but I launched it on the show.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Got it. Okay.
- 54:18Speaker 2: At my house on the beach, I made it. Smart.
- 54:21Speaker 1: So, but that's what they say that everyone needs to
- 54:23Speaker 1: have a product to launch or to talk about. If
- 54:26Speaker 1: you're going to be on the show, do you feel
- 54:28Speaker 1: like that's true? Like, did that help you just at
- 54:30Speaker 1: least launch being able to launch it there?
- 54:33Speaker 4: Me being able to stomach being an idiot on a show.
- 54:40Speaker 4: I was like, okay, there's an end goal here.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Um, Yeah. I really think you need a product.
- 54:48Speaker 4: And if you go into it just wanting to be
- 54:49Speaker 4: famous and then you're going to bitch when they fire you,
- 54:52Speaker 4: I don't know what to say.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Yeah. But it's so smart because it gives you something
- 54:56Speaker 1: to do after the fact and be relevant. I mean,
- 54:59Speaker 1: you can have a project now. Talk to me also,
- 55:02Speaker 1: you talked earlier about your love of animals, growing up
- 55:05Speaker 1: with animals around you. Is that what made you get
- 55:07Speaker 1: involved with what you do with animals now?
- 55:10Speaker 4: We Care Rescue Ranch is my nonprofit, 501c3. Robin White,
- 55:15Speaker 4: bless her heart, helped me found it. I decided to
- 55:18Speaker 4: start a rescue for animals because in life, I think
- 55:21Speaker 4: the only thing that I had were animals that I
- 55:23Speaker 4: could communicate with and relate to. They didn't care what
- 55:27Speaker 4: I looked like. They didn't care that I had a
- 55:28Speaker 4: childhood trauma. Dogs never judged me when I came home.
- 55:33Speaker 4: If I had a hard day, they'd just love you.
- 55:35Speaker 2: They'd cuddle. Uh, they're there for you. They're smiling. I
- 55:39Speaker 2: have a Husky now. Koda. Um, you know, dogs are
- 55:45Speaker 2: just animals are just kind in general and we need
- 55:48Speaker 2: to be kind to them. So I.
- 55:50Speaker 4: I decided that a dollar of every one of my
- 55:52Speaker 4: bottles is going to go to my 501c3.
- 55:54Speaker 1: Oh, I love that. That is amazing. I have two
- 55:57Speaker 1: dogs myself.
- 55:58Speaker 2: I'm a terrible marketer. I didn't bring any vodka or
- 56:00Speaker 2: anything today.
- 56:02Speaker 1: We'll put pictures up of it. Don't worry.
- 56:06Speaker 2: I'm such a terrible buyer. Today was just.
- 56:09Speaker 1: But I have two dogs myself. I've always had two
- 56:12Speaker 1: or three dogs. I rescued one recently. She's a half
- 56:16Speaker 1: Siberian Husky, half Pitbull, which are the most misunderstood breed
- 56:21Speaker 1: in my opinion.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Siberian Husky Pitbull? I have to see this dog.
- 56:27Speaker 1: I'll send you a picture after. She's just, I love
- 56:31Speaker 1: her so much. She gets in so much trouble. She's
- 56:33Speaker 1: cost me a ton of money with trainers. I can't
- 56:36Speaker 1: even walk her down the street. She's so strong. I
- 56:39Speaker 1: have to get someone to come every night and walk her.
- 56:41Speaker 1: I have two acres in my backyard. So she lives
- 56:44Speaker 1: like in a jungle back there, loves it. But She's
- 56:46Speaker 1: living the life. But she was really abused before I
- 56:49Speaker 1: got her. And we saved her from animal control in Manhattan. And,
- 56:53Speaker 1: you know, I if I could take in every animal,
- 56:55Speaker 1: I would. I am an animal person. I love animals
- 56:58Speaker 1: more than I love people. And yeah, I get them more.
- 57:02Speaker 1: And they're they it just it's so interesting to me
- 57:05Speaker 1: because so many animals are um, you know, just left
- 57:08Speaker 1: on the street, people just get rid of them. They
- 57:11Speaker 1: are bad to them. And just with a little love, these,
- 57:15Speaker 1: these animals, dogs, cats, whatever they are, will completely change
- 57:19Speaker 1: and forgive. And, um, all they need is someone to
- 57:22Speaker 1: give them a chance. And it just always breaks my
- 57:24Speaker 1: heart when people, um, are cruel to animals. It's like
- 57:28Speaker 1: the worst.
- 57:28Speaker 4: So, well, I think that your passion for animals is, is, uh,
- 57:33Speaker 4: it's validated through understanding that these animals do forgive quickly.
- 57:37Speaker 4: Like you have a, we have a passion for them
- 57:39Speaker 4: because they are unconditional love. Like we don't get that
- 57:42Speaker 4: with a human.
- 57:43Speaker 2: You, you have, you don't. And so the only thing
- 57:46Speaker 2: you do get, which is closest to a human is
- 57:47Speaker 2: an animal as a dog or a cat or whatever,
- 57:49Speaker 2: not even a cat actually cats eat you. If you die,
- 57:51Speaker 2: the dog will die with you.
- 57:54Speaker 4: But, but, um, and so, so like, you know, animals, uh,
- 57:59Speaker 4: We had a program called SNPOC, which we'll revamp eventually. But,
- 58:04Speaker 4: you know, population control, not Bill Gates' style, but population
- 58:09Speaker 4: control for animals, which is snipping them, you know, making
- 58:13Speaker 4: sure to span neuter them. It's really, really important, but
- 58:18Speaker 4: it's not affordable. So creating that affordability so that there's
- 58:21Speaker 4: not that overpopulation. Idaho did the SNP program.
- 58:26Speaker 2: They don't have overpopulation. They have no homeless dogs or cats. Wow. Hello.
- 58:30Speaker 2: If this can be done in certain areas, it can
- 58:32Speaker 2: be done all over the country. So that's incredible. Like
- 58:36Speaker 2: in that way in 10 years, let's say we started
- 58:38Speaker 2: right now. We launched a national SNF program where everything
- 58:42Speaker 2: was free.
- 58:43Speaker 4: Everybody could bring in their dogs and cats or strays
- 58:45Speaker 4: were all sniffed and whatever.
- 58:47Speaker 2: In 10 years.
- 58:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:49Speaker 4: Wouldn't even probably have homeless animals if we could do that.
- 58:52Speaker 4: It's that easy, but it's just not, you know. Wow.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Well, I love your passion for animals. Obviously we share that.
- 59:01Speaker 1: So just quickly, I want to get into what, how
- 59:04Speaker 1: is your dating life? I know that I want to
- 59:06Speaker 1: clear something up because I think the press got it
- 59:09Speaker 1: wrong when they said one of your former lovers is
- 59:11Speaker 1: now incarcerated for six years. Um, you did have an
- 59:15Speaker 1: incident with a man, but he was not your boyfriend, correct?
- 59:17Speaker 2: Well, I tried to sleep with him, but he was
- 59:19Speaker 2: too hot. He couldn't get it up. At one point
- 59:22Speaker 2: I did, but I love your honesty. There's the boy
- 59:29Speaker 2: toys in your life and then there's the boyfriends and
- 59:32Speaker 2: they're completely different categories. Yeah, I had hired a sales
- 59:37Speaker 2: rep for Vargas Vodka in Santa Monica. I met him
- 59:40Speaker 2: in Santa Monica.
- 59:41Speaker 4: Turned out he was a stalker to a lot of
- 59:44Speaker 4: really wealthy women and had a group of extortionist people
- 59:49Speaker 4: that just did this for a living. And I was
- 59:51Speaker 4: a target and I ended up realizing later on down
- 59:55Speaker 4: the road that he was a felon. So I told
- 59:56Speaker 4: him he couldn't sell Vargas Vodka. This is before I
- 59:59Speaker 4: even started. Like he came to Newport. And then we
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: got wasted one night.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: I thought it was really cute. I like, I used
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: to like really young after him. I do not like
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: young guys.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: In fact, my Albanian six foot four right now is.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: The hottest mofo I've ever met. And we're sticking to him,
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: but you know, this Ryan guy, you know, we, we,
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: I showed him all the bars we were in, showed
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: him the brand. Didn't sell one bottle of vodka.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: And then, and then I finally said, well, You know,
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: I would do a background check, but my assistant had
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: passed away from COVID in January.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: So I didn't do that. I didn't do a background
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: check on him.
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: I mean, and it turned out to be the worst
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: decision of my life. I always do background checks, but
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: I was in a moment where she had passed away
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: and she always does the background checks.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: Well, it turns out he had just gotten out of
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: prison for extortion. And I didn't know this.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: How did you find him to begin with? He contacted you?
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: He found me. I was at the bungalow in Santa Monica,
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: the super high end place. They were all wearing suits.
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: My girlfriend was single. I went with her after filming
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: my new show, The Success of Unusual People. He starts
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: saying hi to me. And I went to the bartender
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: to see if he knew of.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Any sales reps because I'm always hustling. Well, he overheard
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: me and he's like, oh, I'm a sales rep. I
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: used to sell alcohol. Maybe I could help you. Bam.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: But it turns out he was a drug. Gotcha.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Drug salesman, drug dealer. And later I found out an
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: extortionist and a felon. And I had fired it. So
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: I fired him and I said, look, you can't didn't
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: fire him, but I just didn't really fully bring him on.
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: And then as soon as I let him go after
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: finding out he was a felon, he had just got
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: out of prison.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: He went postal. That's when he started.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: Whipping out his guns and saying, fuck you, fuck you,
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: fuck you. And then all of a sudden the guns
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: to my head, threatening, needing money. I mean, oh my God,
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: it became a disaster. And I, he threatened to call
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: my ex, said he had naked pictures of me that night.
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: We did a tasting and I went to bed upstairs.
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: I let him stay in my house in Newport. I
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: have two bedrooms. He claimed he came in and took
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: all these naked photos of me. Like he had drugged
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: me and I was out. I didn't know if that
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: was true or not. I woke up just fine. He
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: was in the other room. I would never have thought.
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: He's like, you remember that day? So then he's like,
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: I'm going to tell your ex-husband and I'm going to
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: tell your partner who you really are.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: I'm going to show him these photos.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: Well, he was very smart not to text that, but
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: verbalized it continuously. Did text a little bit about it.
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: So I did show the police that and he was convicted.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: But it was a disaster.
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: So for a full three weeks, I was being held
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: by against my will to pay bills and money for
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: him and shit. And he wanted my company car and said,
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: I bought it for him. And Oh my God, it
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: was a disaster.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: And then three weeks.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: Oh yeah. I couldn't believe I got into this situation.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: He's like, if you tell anybody what's going on.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: You know, I'm going to do this and this and
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: this and this. And I don't really want to get
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: into it. I get anxiety. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: That's nice.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: But luckily for you, so you ended up having cameras
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: in your house, right? Is that how you got the footage?
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: When he started putting guns to my head, I was,
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: I was gonna, I was gonna actually hit him with
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: this shovel with a sharp knife side. But I realized
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: if I killed him in my house, my real estate
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: would be, would go down. So I thought I will
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: wait till I'm somewhere else. But then I thought, well,
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: I don't want to have murder on my record. So
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: I just thought, okay, you know, what do I do here?
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: I put cameras up and I knew he wouldn't kill
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: me because I was his money. And I called my advisor.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: He said he was, well, the one day that this
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: all went down, I didn't call the police. My wealth
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: advisor did because money was going out.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: And Alan Schreiber from TSG Wealth Management, I said, look,
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: I got some wires that need to go out today.
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: I need to do these wires. I need to show
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: these people that the wires are going through today. And
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: I'm going to give him my car. I'm going to
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: give him everything.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: He goes, what's going on?
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: I finally just broke down and told him I was
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: being extorted and they're coming over with guns and they're taking.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: My shit and I got to wire some money. He's like,
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: it is my fiduciary duty to send over somebody to
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: take a statement. I'm like, you can't do that. They're
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: coming over right now. So he sent over the police.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: I just told him what was happening.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: I finally showed him the bullet holes and I showed
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: him all the threats on my voicemails and the death
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: threats and everything to the police. And I said, look,
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: can you get him not at my house, get him
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: somewhere else? He's coming right now. Little did I know
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: that they said, no problem, Elizabeth, we'll get him later.
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: Little did I know they were assembling a massive SWAT
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: team and pulled up his records and knew he was
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: a bad, bad person.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Luckily for you.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Yeah. And they were going to take me by gunpoint
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: to the warehouse and get the gun or get the car.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: And I was, I was beside myself. Didn't even know
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: how there was dog shit everywhere on my house. I
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: couldn't even leave my house. Like I, I couldn't walk
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: my dog. I was sleeping in my house for days,
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: not knowing what to do.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: It was horrible, horrible. All right.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Well, he's been sentenced to six years, so we don't
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: have to worry about him for a little bit, but
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: that's six years.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Um, okay.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Talk to me really quickly about your show. You are doing, um,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: an amazing show. Has it found a home or are
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: you shooting for where?
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Discovery channel, but discovery is going through a big change and.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: I can't launch the show at John Paul DeGioia, success
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: of unusual people showcasing really wealthy people coming from nothing,
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: creating something and then giving back.
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Uh, so I have all these.
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: Wealthy individuals lined up to interview, like John Paul DeGioia,
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: those type. But we filmed the first hour show.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: It's a docuseries. And then we're supposed to be launching
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: it on Discovery, but Discovery is doing such a change
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: that we can't do anything. So it's been on hold
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: for over a year now. Once it does launch, it's
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: going to be a great show to help showcase how
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: to create something out of nothing and give back.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: The concept is so great. So I think it'll be terrific.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Last question for you then would be, what do you
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: think is the most misunderstood thing about you that you
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: want to clear up?
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: The most misunderstood is I am self-made. I think that
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: the decisions that I've made in my life to be
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: where I'm at today are decisions based on truth, honesty,
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: and the.
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: The goal of personal financial and mental freedom. Um, people
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: tend to think that, uh, you know, I married a
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: wealthy guy and, you know, you, you know, and you
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: got a bunch of money from him and good job,
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: you divorced well, but I really had that journey to learn.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: And I really enjoyed that journey. I didn't marry him
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: to take his money.
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: I didn't, you know, that's why I haven't really pursued
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: it that hard.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: I knew I could do it on my own. Now
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: I had the tools, uh, And the misconception is I
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: didn't suck dick. Just kidding. And I also didn't suck
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: at life. Winning.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. That's hysterical. Well, but I think that's
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: a good point though, because a lot of women, first
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: of all, as you and I both know, there's nothing
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: better than having your own financial freedom. If your finances
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: are tied to someone else and to someone else approving
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: of you and you being under their spell, their vision,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: whatever it is, it is going to be the most
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: miserable life. When you can make your own money, make
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: your own decisions, have your own things, you have freedom
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: and you have the ability to be happy if you
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: want to. So- I definitely commend that about you. And
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: I do think that people probably think that because your
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: ex was as rich as he is, that's what you're
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: living off of. You don't do anything on your own.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: You haven't come up with ideas and are a hard worker.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: But I think it's obvious that since childhood, you are
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: a hustler, not in a bad way. I am too.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Like I like, no matter what you have, you probably
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: like to work. You like to have a project and
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: I think it makes you feel fulfilled. So, and I
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: think that's very obvious from speaking to you. So I
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: enjoy the fact that, you know, I get to speak
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: to you like this and can easily see who you are.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Whereas on a show where they have you for, you know,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: episode after episode, they can really create you to look
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: a certain way. And it's just smoke and mirrors. It's
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: not really who, um, you are. So where can people
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: find you now? What, um, what can we expect from
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: you in the future?
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Uh, Elizabeth Lynn Vargas on Instagram.
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: Um, uh, hopefully discovery channel for success of unusual people.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: And you never know, I might be doing another season
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: of the housewives. So we'll, we, uh, okay.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: So reality TV is not off the table for you.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: You know, it was for a while, but I want
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: to go back and have fun.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: I want it to be a season of fun with
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: these ladies. Because now that I've gotten that negativity out
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: and like all that junk out of my trunk, now
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: I can just be like, okay, where's my space? Give
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: me some tequila.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: But also you're in a different place, right? You're like
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: not in this sad place where you're... going through a
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: divorce and all this stuff, like you're owning it. You're
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: really owning it. So I think you can have.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: Fun and meet people and mingle and be fun with
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: the camera before you're like mask and go up and
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: you're like, what do I, so I really want to
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: go back on. I hope they let me one day.
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: There's been some, you know, discussions and figuring out how
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: everything would work, but I don't have any hangups.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: So you never know. And I love the fans. They're
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: all crazy. I'm sure your fans are crazy too.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: The Bravo fans are the biggest crazy fans ever. I mean,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: you don't know what to expect. And, you know, I
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: will just tell you quickly, there was once a rumor
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: that I was in talks to do the Housewives and
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: it was, you know, in page six, which then went everywhere.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I can't tell you how much free stuff I got
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: in my mailbox and in my DMs, people offering to
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: do things. And I'm like, thinking to myself and saying
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: to my friends, that is a total rumor. Like, I
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: don't even know why people are, and imagine if I
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: got on the show, like how I would be treated,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: like that's unbelievable. So I know how it must feel,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: you know, being on a show like that and being
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: so revered. People think you are, Angelina Jolie. It's like,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: who's that anymore? You guys are the stars, right?
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: I got free banana bread for life. I got like
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: shit cootery boards or shoot cooteries, whatever they call them.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: The important things.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: I mean, it's so lovely. You know, I got some
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: party planners and I mean, you name it. They're like everywhere.
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: Right. Oh my God.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: That's so funny.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Well, we wish you the best of luck. We hope
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: to see you again on something. Good luck with your show.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: I hope that that does really well. It's such a
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: great brand. And I'm going to try your vodka later tonight.
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: Yes. Vargas Vodka and at Elizabeth Lynn Vargas on Instagram.
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: Stay tuned.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Thank you.

- 1:12:18Speaker 3: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: for it?
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: It's Dunaidial.
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: Where?
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E.
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: Do you mean.
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: Yes, I got it on Dundial Cars.
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: Lift?
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: Please.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: Are you going past Kimmage? Oh, Kimmage.
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: No.
- 1:12:45Speaker 6: Dundial Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
