- 0:28Welcome into the treehouse. Time to leave your worries outside and join me Daniel
- 0:34Malley along with Trey Trenholme and Raj Sharma m Oh. So much has been
- 0:44happening, and it makes me smile because that means we have we have so
- 0:49much to choose from. It's like walking up to the tree house and looking
- 0:54at the tree that engulfs the treehouse full of content fruit just right for the
- 1:00picking. So this is one of those days we get you just kind of
- 1:03stand back on the ground, or stand in the treehouse and reach out the
- 1:07treehouse window and just just pluck a little, little little content fruit right off
- 1:11the tree. My vote is going to start today with m the piece of
- 1:21content fruit of Kid Rock enjoying himself a nice bud light at a concert.
- 1:27I think that, I think that I think the Latin name for that piece
- 1:34of content fruit is hypocritus fruitus. Yes, yes, so I have a
- 1:42all right, all right, I guess I have missed the news. So
- 1:48last time I saw Kid Rock was shooting like an AK forty seven at a
- 1:52case of bud light. Whatever, Trey, you better be careful because that's
- 1:55where the gun nuts are. We're gonna come get you and say, if
- 1:57you're gonna say it's a type of gun, you better get it right otherwise
- 2:00you're stupid. And that's not a type of gun. Tray, Oh sorry,
- 2:05it's a rifle. The gun shooting firearm. He was shooting an automatic
- 2:13weapon and automatic yes, and honestly, if if, if we are being
- 2:16honest, he was shooting at the cases of bud light poorly. Yea.
- 2:22You can see the bullets hitting the dirt stuff around the cases of bud light.
- 2:28That would be like me shooting at it like kid man. You need
- 2:31to get a compensator on that thing. Yeah, there's a reason his name
- 2:37is not kid Block. Oh now I feel like that's a miss marketing opportunity
- 2:42on his part. Oh just wait, there's gonna be somebody. There's gonna
- 2:46be a kid block. Now, she's gonna be like I should have trademarked
- 2:51that there might still be time. There might still be time. No.
- 2:55Over the weekend Trey. The other day, kid Rock was spotted what rage
- 3:00What concert was kid Rock at in Nashville, Tennessee at the cult Ford Concert.
- 3:07Our buddy Robbie Rich Robert Ritchie was in the suite of his buddy cult
- 3:15Ford and uh was caught by paparazzi enjoying a giant not just not just a
- 3:23tall ounce my friend, No, no, a thirty two ounce bud light.
- 3:30Oh a trailer trailer parks hize. Well that's I mean, would you
- 3:32expect anything else from Kid Rock? I'm like, yeah, he tried to
- 3:38marry Loretta Lip. I'm just saying it was yeah, yeah, And he
- 3:44was caught by paparazzi. And and my favorite caption was somebody underneath in one
- 3:49of the comments. But they tricked him, Like really they that's what I
- 3:54wanted to know. I mean, it's a blue can. I'm sorry,
- 3:58there's only that's the only by I can think of that has that blue on
- 4:02the can with the very large white letters light. How do you trick somebody?
- 4:06It is impressive what what people will do when when when hypocrisy is the
- 4:14rears its ugly face, like somebody's like, I'm not sure, no other
- 4:16options. I'm not sure what was more obvious the fact that it was a
- 4:20can of bud light or that his hypocrisy was on such visible display. Yeah,
- 4:26you have to be self. I mean, like he knew what he
- 4:28was doing like you. You're very self aware, right, like your kid
- 4:31Rock. You're very visible in that arena, and all somebody has to do
- 4:36is just turn around and snap a picture, which is what happened. And
- 4:40they sent it into TMZ, and TMZ broke the story, and then the
- 4:42New York Times covered it, and then everybody else started covering it. But
- 4:45one of them was like, what if there were no other options? I'm
- 4:47like, well, uh, is that is that where integrity lies? Like,
- 4:50you know, like your kids, I don't have a choice. I
- 4:54don't have a choice. No, your kid Rock, you can can get
- 4:58the whiskey. Hey, yeah, I know what as as a recovering alcoholic,
- 5:01let me say, you know, in a pitch, you know there
- 5:05there that need will triumph your your your your you know, your moral stance
- 5:12on something if you just had to have a beer. And you know,
- 5:15maybe maybe it was that was only maybe it was the only domestic option.
- 5:18And he you know, still pro American, and so he went with bud
- 5:21light over like a Heineken. Okay, so here's here's here's my theory.
- 5:27And and and we've all been to sporting events, and we've all been to
- 5:30concerts. Correct, Yes, there are a thousand vending places, there's a
- 5:38thousand bars, there's a thousand beer tubs throughout the entire arena. You're telling
- 5:43me that Kid Rock has lost so much clout uh and so much relevance that
- 5:49he can't send someone to find him other beer? Like? Is that what
- 5:55we're is that where we're at, Like Kid Rock can't like summon me something
- 5:58else for I am against this bud Light? Or is Kid Rock telling us,
- 6:02Hey, I'm okay with the movement? Well, see, that's that's
- 6:09what That's what I'm curious about. It was this intentional? Was it an
- 6:13intentional signal to say, Hey, everybody, bud Light's cool again? Yes,
- 6:18like somehow the marketing department did something to win back Kid Rock's favor to
- 6:26where he would stop shooting cases of bud Light? I was there? Was
- 6:30there a letter sent? Was there a was there a gift basket of some
- 6:33sort sent to the the the Rock Trailer mansion? And was it? Was
- 6:42it in that letter? Was it so overwhelming and so sweet and powerful that
- 6:47the rock the Kid Rock, not the rock the Kid Rock had no other
- 6:51choice but to say, you know what, mayacopa bud Light Mayakopa and Herabush.
- 6:58We don't speak Latin in here. You just did at the beginning of
- 7:01the show. Aren't we giving kid Rocko? I mean, this is a
- 7:09guy who's you know, hit song is bab with a Bob. I mean,
- 7:14are we really gonna, you know, give him this much? You
- 7:16know clout? Yeah, he's like the red He's like a redneck king.
- 7:21You know, if his choices were bud Light or Estella, he's gonna go
- 7:25with bud Light. Yeah, you know what, I agree with you on
- 7:28that. I and my my thing is, you know, when it comes
- 7:32to relevance, he's doing what he can to stay relevant because I don't know
- 7:39if you know he's released He released an album not too long ago, but
- 7:43I don't think it went plastic. I don't think. And there's one song
- 7:48I can't remember the name of it, but the whole song is about how
- 7:50he has no f's to give, and the whole song is about all of
- 7:55the f's he has to give. I'm like, this is the It just
- 7:58a random like I felt so dirty. It's like like I felt like when
- 8:01I posted on my Facebook when I accidentally started listening to the first thirty seconds
- 8:05of a Creed song because I couldn't place where it was because I hadn't heard
- 8:07Creed in so long, And then I immediately changed the channel and good choice.
- 8:13Yeah, I had to. I had to. I had to take
- 8:16a shower because I was like, oh, that was Creed. Is it
- 8:18impossible that the bud Light marketing department, in one of the great fails of
- 8:24the twenty first century in corporate marketing, redeemed itself by using the same tactic
- 8:31it used to get in such hot water in the first place. Because what
- 8:35got them in trouble was sending a trans influencer. They're his, her,
- 8:43whatever, own personalized can of bud Light. It wasn't a huge marketing shift
- 8:48where they're gonna have you know, you know, trans people on every can
- 8:52across America. All they did was they sent a personalized can to to one
- 8:54individual. So did they, in their attempt to went back Kid Rock send
- 9:01him a Kid Rock personalized bud Light can and he was just so overwhelmed at
- 9:07the touching gesture that he felt the need to come back in to the bud
- 9:11lightfold that you know, that could be a He could have walked into that
- 9:13suite with the f and Heuserbusch mentality. And then there was the cooler with
- 9:20his face on every can. It looked like it probably looked like one of
- 9:24those massive displays the week of the Super Bowl that goes from the grocery store
- 9:28floor all the way to the ceiling and all the cans and the boxes are
- 9:33turned and just away where it looks like Kid Rocks face yeah, with a
- 9:37little note on a little sign that just says where saw we And there were
- 9:43so many cans that it looked like like what his audiences used to look like.
- 9:50Uh, And it just there was some nostalgia. They're like, oh,
- 9:52that's what my crowds used to look like. Thanks and heuser Busch,
- 9:58I understand, We're We're back. And he just cracked himself up in a
- 10:01can and then walked right to the front of forty thousand people in an arena
- 10:07and decided to hold it in his hand. So maybe, so maybe that's
- 10:09part of the controversy is TMZ is withholding the other side Like in the photo
- 10:13all you see is the bud Light logo. What if on the other side
- 10:16of the can that's facing Kid Rock is the photo of him on the can?
- 10:22Oh I wouldn't. I mean, he's gonna he's gonna stare at himself
- 10:24while he drinks it. Yeah. Yeah, I mean I would expect nothing
- 10:26less. I would do the same. I'm just saying, yeah, I
- 10:31uh my my. The dip in sales is maybe what caught an Heiser Busch
- 10:37by surprise the you know what I mean like, and so they went,
- 10:43hey, listen, we gotta get back, we gotta get we gotta get
- 10:46the kid back. Uh. And and that's what they did, because what
- 10:50was the what was what did you say? The dip in the numbers weren't
- 10:54like the trade were saying like ten. I mean, it's it's been estimated
- 10:58it's about twenty billions, twenty billion. Uh, that's a that's a lot.
- 11:03I wouldn't. I wouldn't expect to be that much. But yeah,
- 11:05I mean so they were like, how do we recover? And I think
- 11:09I wonder if also if one of the things that they attempted to do was
- 11:13to because usually with stories like this, you can you can skate them when
- 11:16the next big thing happened. But the next big thing really didn't happen,
- 11:20and maybe that was another fail on bud Light's marketing. Department. I I
- 11:24don't think they failed. I don't think they personally failed. Because I was
- 11:28at a bar and there was an older gentleman sitting next to me and I,
- 11:33I don't care about politics. I enjoy a cold bud light. I
- 11:37don't care about politics. And the older gentleman next to me looks like he
- 11:41would not like he was like he's sitting his ways and I'm sitting next to
- 11:45him, and I go. He orders and he goes a bud light and
- 11:50I kind of looked at him. I'm like, yep, I'm gonna have
- 11:52one too, And I just kind of looked over like, really, you're
- 11:56you, sir, are gonna have a bud light? And he just looked
- 11:58to me, doesn't miss a meeting, goes, but it's cheaper. Who
- 12:07can argue with that capitalism pore? Listening to the Treehouse, visit us online
- 12:24that Treehouse on air dot Com. Time now for Rodney Anderson to jump in
- 12:35the Treehouse. Nine hundred is his phone number, the website Rodney Anderson dot
- 12:39com. You know, I've seen the news lately, Rodney, all the
- 12:43financial experts, the big names. You know, it's the Dave Ramsey's the
- 12:46Susie Ormonds. They're saying, hey, you have got to get out of
- 12:48debt, that's what they're telling people. But I want to go to my
- 12:52friend and my confidante, and that's you, Rodney. So what do you
- 12:54think? Are they right? They're absolutely one percent right, because you have
- 12:58to ask yourself, do you like making the banks rich or would you rather
- 13:03you be rich? And so many people are sitting there in credit card debt.
- 13:07Now student loans are getting ready to start up DAN. So many people
- 13:11have also consolidated credit card debt into other debt vehicles where they have large installment
- 13:16payments every single month. The one thing that I know gets in people's way
- 13:20is debt, especially this high interest rate credit card debt. The average rate
- 13:24right now in America twenty four percent. Most people are above average in that
- 13:28area. We saw a client last week. They had a thirty six percent
- 13:31medical card that they owed ten thousand dollars on imagine at thirty six percent.
- 13:35So we did a cash out refinance, put all their debt together into one
- 13:39payment, and now they have one mortgage payment. That's it. Lastly,
- 13:43DAN, credit card debt is killing people's credit scores. Literally when you have
- 13:48credit card debt when it's maxed out. Are you even close to being maxed
- 13:52out? The credit card companies are. The credit barrels have changed the algorithm,
- 13:56so there's a bigger emphasis on credit card debt. Don't wait until it's
- 14:00too late. The reason why I say that we've got clients calling is for
- 14:03cash out refinances that we can't do their loans now because they've waited so long
- 14:07that their credit scores have dropped and now they're not even eligible. Don't wait
- 14:11until it's too late. Listen to Rodney. The man knows what he's talking

- 15:13Trey, what's the link that you just sent me? Oh, it's
- 15:16too uh So, evidently when bud Light was just stepping in it and they
- 15:24saved sending cans to trans, Yeah, cans to trans. They but I
- 15:28guess Bore was a skincare beauty company. I guess it was a beneficiary because
- 15:35they evidently, I guess stepped into it too. But it was just overshadow
- 15:39to you know, kind of like Farra Faucet dying the same day as Michael
- 15:43Jackson that I remember that day. I remember, I was, I was,
- 15:48I was broadcasting, I was doing a show on the fan that day
- 15:52when we got news of Farra faucet dying, and then I don't know,
- 15:54maybe within the hour they said, oh, Michael Jackson died. So then
- 15:58I had to I had to pivot from talking about being shocked that not only
- 16:03did fair Fausa die but she died from anal cancer to h then you know
- 16:08the King of pop dying as well. Yeah, I think I think the
- 16:12thing that over like, I mean it's Michael Jackson. I felt bad because,
- 16:15I mean, fair Fauster didn't lose a battle to cancer. And then
- 16:19Michael Jackson died. You're like, oh, how did that happen? And
- 16:22then you find out what a tremendous drug addict he was, You're like,
- 16:26oh, okay, like that when it wasn't just normal stuff. I mean,
- 16:29that's like the hardest of the hard stuff. No, no, no,
- 16:32he was he was doing Yeah, so what is he was doing?
- 16:34The home anesthesia? I think the only shocking thing was the fact that he
- 16:40wasn't dead any sooner. Yeah, it's like it's like I've heard about make
- 16:44your own beer. Look I've ever got making at home anesthetic? Yeah.
- 16:48I don't think they have like those home propofolic kids. I would love to
- 16:52see that informercial can't sleep be all the rage for Father's Day? I don't
- 17:03know what to get dear old dad. How about the home all brewing kid?
- 17:07Yeah, all that I just remember. This is just because I remember
- 17:11where I was at Rust Martin Automotive and when Michael Jackson died. But the
- 17:15thing I remember most about that whole period, it was like a week later
- 17:18and Ryan O'Neill, which if y'all don't know, it was Fara Fawcett tex
- 17:22husband, but they had this very tumultuous relationship, but it was and it
- 17:26was TMZ in front of him. He was standing out on the street just
- 17:29screaming and crying. It's like Farah died too. Yeah well yeah, yeah,
- 17:34yeah, that exactly. So what's the what's the bore thing? The
- 17:38timing on that is the nose for people. So they did a sponsorship,
- 17:42yes, with no strips, that is exactly. They did a sponsorship with
- 17:47a social media influencer. Oh so it's a similar of pile of that bud
- 17:53Light got into because bud Light also was doing stuff with it with an influencer.
- 17:57So Bori said, hey, we want in on that. Uh huh
- 18:03okay, where's the rest of a tray? Yeah? Oh yeah, I
- 18:07thought if you play the audio of the the ad, you'll you'll you'll you'll
- 18:15see why maybe not the best Association, The No Strip people paired up with
- 18:22an influencer that seems pretty simple. You pick up line or who is it?
- 18:26Let's see it's here from a school shooting to having no idea what life
- 18:33is going to look like after college supportive Mental Health Awareness Month. I'm partnering
- 18:37with the Your Skincare Strip away the stigma of anxiety. We want you to
- 18:41get it all out, not only what's in your pores, but most importantly
- 18:42what's on your mind too. Anxiety in my life has come in waves.
- 18:45I found myself recently struggling from seeing the effects of gun violence firsthand pat to
- 18:49intentionally set aside time for prioritizing my mental health. I will never forget the
- 18:53feeling in terror that I had walking around campus for weeks in a place I
- 18:56considered home with countless anxiety attacks, to cry alone in my room. And
- 19:00my message to you guys is that it's okay not to have it altogether.
- 19:03Like continually changes and your thoughts will too, do things that make you happy
- 19:07and know everything will work itself up. Join me and be your skincare and
- 19:10speaking up about mental health by screen chatting is digital card and filling it out
- 19:14yourself by every video posted is a step closer to normalizing conversations about mental health.
- 19:19So if I, if I, I want to make sure I get
- 19:23the correlation correct here. So br A's ad campaign is supposed to be centered
- 19:30around stripping away blackheads, and they thought it would be a good thing to
- 19:36tie in stripping away anxiety about gun violence and blackheads. I think the message
- 19:47got a little delusion. I don't think that's I've never I've never found solace
- 19:52in a no strip. But that's just me. I went to a therapist.
- 19:56For those of you that are listening to this show and you're suffering from
- 20:00anxiety or some sort of mental health issue, please don't use BORA. It's
- 20:04not going unless unless you go see your therapist and the therapist actually hand you
- 20:11a box of bore strips. Is here these one? Well? Now that
- 20:14would be so my therapist and I would just as we would talk, we
- 20:17would eat Indian food. Now, if you can do a little you know,
- 20:21a little facial or a manny petty with yours, awesome, But make
- 20:25sure that they're still a therapist involved and not just like you know what,
- 20:27you know, what's gonna keep me from going over the edge today this no
- 20:32strip, Like, no, let's let's kind of stay away from that angle
- 20:37because that makes no sense to me. They make it sound like anxiety is
- 20:40in your black heads and so if you away, all that's good. All
- 20:45of a sudden, we're all of a sudden and they're advertising. They're going
- 20:49back to like the Middle Ages medical theory, where it's oh, do you
- 20:56have headaches? Bring on the leeches. Do you have a broken arm?
- 20:59Bring on the leeches? Are you possessed? Guess what wife cheating on you?
- 21:10I mean, you're getting stressed. I've got a nice can of leeches.
- 21:17There should be a marketing person for bud Anheuser, Bush Bore and Target
- 21:22and oh they just lock themselves in a room and just figure out who should
- 21:26be have the most shame. Just shame for the rest of their lives.
- 21:32Oh, shame, shame. That seems strong. I mean that is strong
- 21:37coming from you. If you're if you're a marketing person and you know your
- 21:41company took a twenty billion dollar hit. Yeah, I think there should be
- 21:45some shame. I think there should be some shame of you're an adult and
- 21:48used to watch Oak Island, Like, how did we skip over that from
- 21:52the last I don't know which episode that was, but you can't talk about
- 21:55shame and be an Oak Island watcher at the same time. Throw yourself in
- 21:57that room, trade all those businesses and you and then they look at you
- 22:03and go why are you here? And then you have to tell them.
- 22:04You have to tell them to their target and bud Light and bor A faces.
- 22:08I watch Oak Island. Yeah, that you got. They came up
- 22:11with that marketing plan with you in the room watching. That's how they came
- 22:15up with all those marketing ideas. That is the dumbest show in the history
- 22:21of shows. Nothing, It's it's okay, there's only one demand defend himself.
- 22:26It's not the dumbest show. There's plenty of other reality. Finding Bigfoot,
- 22:30I'll give you Finding Bigfoot is the dumbest. Oh my god, Bachelor
- 22:34Bachelorette, Hey, you stay away from my bachelor shows. They're trying to
- 22:40find love. You're trying to find a yetti. You're finding trying to find
- 22:45at least, and at least when we all know which one of those does
- 22:47not exist. At least there's an element of Oak Island that you know,
- 22:53if if with history like there are there are some really weird things that happened
- 22:57up there during the times. And okay, so real quick, the only
- 23:02thing I know about Oak Island is it's it's like a couple of guys looking
- 23:07for something and it's multiple seasons of them having never found it. Right.
- 23:11It's an island off Nova Scotia that these brothers have bought most of and they
- 23:18whether he can come back up real quick. These these these two very very
- 23:22white brothers. Let's just they're they're they're from Michigan. Yes, so one
- 23:26is a very six obviously it was very successful in an oil drilling company.
- 23:30And then he has a vineyard. And the other brother is the screw up
- 23:33who I think got him involved in Oak Island. That's interesting. So the
- 23:37one brother actually has bona fide success of finding something in the oil yeah,
- 23:44okay, okay, and the other one's like here's the Native American arrowhead and
- 23:48here's the Masonic rock. And you're like, what, like stay tuned for
- 23:52a season two, Like what the hell just happened? I mean, they
- 23:56find I mean, and they're stuff. Because there is all sorts of history
- 23:59of was it knights Templar, was you know, there are all sorts of
- 24:02things that you know, what came through North America and win. But it
- 24:07I quit after six seasons. But I did six yea six seasons. Well
- 24:12it's one of those if you're ever sort made no really, you just after
- 24:19the first couple of seasons, you're like, I've invested this much time,
- 24:22Maybe they're gonna find something and so. And I had a friend of mine
- 24:26who was like, I even said, I've even posted. I'm like,
- 24:33this is the it's the dumbest show ever I And you know what, let
- 24:37me, I have a little bit of shame for the fact that I did.
- 24:41I'll grant you that it takes a big man to admit that trade.
- 24:45I mean it's not it's not bud Lighter New Coke shame, but there is
- 24:48a little bit of at least pulled the adoris like, thank god, I
- 24:56just went to YouTube. Yeah, Island's like all right, we're gearing up
- 25:00for season twelve, the reunion episode. Yeah that is, but that and
- 25:11fin like finding here's here's I'll admit it. I'm a I'm a Ghost Adventures
- 25:15guy, and I know half of that has to be rigged. I get
- 25:18it, Like it's just the fun part. You're throwing stones about watching and
- 25:22you watch ghost Adventures. Absolutely, I used to would. I would mostly
- 25:27for the drinking game. If you ever hear them go oh, was that
- 25:32if you take a shot, you won't make it past minute six of that
- 25:36show. You'll you'll just be effed up beyond belief. That was well,
- 25:40there in lies the great irony raj is that Trey managed to go through six
- 25:44seasons of Oak Island sober sober. That's right, that's right. That means
- 25:48that was a sober choice Tray made. And then he realized and then he
- 25:55realized after six seasons of watching Oak Island he had hit rock bottom. That's
- 26:02bottom before they did online dot com. Time now to get Daniel Cook from
- 26:26Cook dfw Roofing in Restoration into the Treehouse the phone number eight three three Cook
- 26:32DFW, the website cook dfw dot com. Anytime you watch your home improvement
- 26:37show, there's always a problem in every episode, right, and it's kind
- 26:40of the same thing on a job site. There's always going to be some
- 26:41sort of wrinkle or some sort of curveball that gets thrown at you or the
- 26:47homeowner. And this is where you say it is so important to have the
- 26:51right company, the right contractor working on that job site. Why is that,
- 26:55Dan, I'm gonna tell you right now, if you have a job
- 26:57site, you have a problem. It's coming. And the difference with us
- 27:02is that we anticipate them and they when they happen, we don't run away
- 27:06from them. We get them addressed immediately. So recently, we were doing
- 27:08a roof here and Plano older home built in ninety nine had a hot water
- 27:14heater up in the attic somewhere. It got changed out. Whoever changed it
- 27:18out allowed the gas line to that hot water heater to run up right under
- 27:22the decking. And so when we were replacing the roof, what happens.
- 27:26One of our nail guns hit the gas line, allowing the gas line to
- 27:30get punctured, and of course I put natural gas into the attic. We
- 27:33immediately got the gas shut off, called one of our trusted partners. We
- 27:38got that repair for these homeowners and back up and going and got their homes
- 27:42safe within twenty four hours. And that's the kind of stuff that you have
- 27:47to do as a contractors, get these problems solved. We take care of
- 27:51your home like it was ours. We're going to make sure your home is
- 27:53safe. So give our guys a cook DFW Roofing and Restoration a call for
- 27:57all those reasons Daniel cook Us mentioned also because they're you know, they're they're
- 28:02really cool people too. Eight three three cook DFW eight three three cook DFW.
- 28:07Is that phone number get that free roof inspection eight three three cook DFW
- 28:11or that website cook dfw dot com. Visit us online at Treehouse on Air
- 28:17dot com. Let's get Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the treehouse their phone number
- 28:21two one four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. That's two one four
- 28:23three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. The website is Brooks Plumbing Texas dot
- 28:27com. Jacqueline, I hope you're as excited for me as I am for
- 28:32me when I tell you that I tightened a loose nut on my kitchen faucet.
- 28:36And I'm pretty sure I'm a plumber now, right, Yeah, we
- 28:37just gotta take some fingerprints and you sell your soul to the Texas State Board
- 28:41of Plumbing Examiners. But this is perfect here, so everybody knows that you
- 28:47let some psychos into your house and it was a monstrosity of an event.
- 28:52And I heard recent I heard recently for the female listeners that you can safely
- 28:56assume that if you're dating a man that has tsa pre check, he's not
- 28:59a psycho because the government has done a background check on him. But for
- 29:03plumbers, if they're willing, capable, and able to produce their plumbing license,
- 29:07the government has done the background check on them for you, so you
- 29:11can rest assured you're not letting these psychos into your house. So we just
- 29:15got to get you fingerprinted, verify you're not a psycho, and you can
- 29:18come to work with me. I don't have the flexibility to be a plumber.
- 29:21And even just doing the little nut thing on the bottom side of that
- 29:23kitchen faucet that I did, I had to try to find a way to
- 29:26snake my very you know, unflexible top half up in there. I don't
- 29:30know how you guys do that every day. Well, we have very specific
- 29:33conversations about who can go to what jobs based on size alone, because take
- 29:40into consideration, like the house that you're that you have for rent right now,
- 29:44it's the fifties. I'm going to say bungalow style house in Dallas.
- 29:47That crawl space isn't that big anymore. So we have conversations, Hey,
- 29:49who's skinny and who's available. That's a legitimate conversation in our office on a
- 29:53semi regular basis. It also sounds like conversations that I overheard in the locker
- 29:57room in high school. But oh lord, the good news is you don't
- 30:02have to worry about, you know, getting the wrench in your own hands.
- 30:04Give Brooks Plumbing your call two one four three six eight thirty eight thirty
- 30:07eight or Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. You're listening to the Treehouse visitors online
- 30:22that Treehouse on air dot com. This segment of the Treehouse is brought to
- 30:30you by Brooks Plumbing two one four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight.
- 30:34That's two one four, three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. For any
- 30:37and all of your plumbing needs, called Brooks Plumbing or the website Brooks Plumbing
- 30:42Texas dot com. Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. I realized that there's a
- 30:49noise I haven't heard in a while, and I've missed hearing it. And
- 30:52then when you hear the noise, two you're going to say, oh,
- 30:55I think, I think I know where he's going with this, and then
- 30:56I also want to see if it makes you feel good too. Are you
- 31:00ready? Okay? Oh, okay, I haven't heard that in a in
- 31:07a hunt minute, all right, doesn't it? Oh it's funny you mentioned
- 31:12hot minute, Raj, because a Melbourne Australian man has been charged with arson
- 31:21and having live ducklings in his underwear simultaneously. Yes, so he's he's breaking
- 31:29multiple laws at the same time. And one law does indeed include the duck
- 31:33laks or he's breaking multiple records. I don't know what. I don't know
- 31:37which one he's trying to do. It really could be both. An alleged
- 31:41firebug Australia has always got a twist stuff and like here we just say arsonists,
- 31:45but you know whatever. An alleged firebug in Melbourne's southeast was caught with
- 31:49live ducklings and his underwear. That's according to police. The thirty one year
- 31:53old man of was arrested on Sunday night after twelve fires were or across the
- 32:00Frankston CBD over the weekend. I'm assuming that Central Business District. The small
- 32:06fires included blazes in a loading dock behind a school, in a shop car
- 32:09park, in a shop car park, outside of real estate agent's office,
- 32:14and in several trash bins. After the arrest, police searched the man and
- 32:19then allegedly found two live ducklings in his underwear. He's been charged with animal
- 32:27cruelty. I don't know if the ducks were hurt in his underwear in anyway,
- 32:30but still reckless conduct, endangering serious injury, four counts of lighting and
- 32:36open air fire, possessing a weapon, and negligently dealing with proceeds of a
- 32:40crime. And believe he's still in jail waiting for an arraignment or an attorney
- 32:45or some type of visit from Australia Fish and Game. I'm sorry, but
- 32:54all I can imagine this guy doing is running around starting fires and as he
- 32:59lights the fire, he just screams out ducks. And I'm assuming that's how
- 33:07the police were able to find him, and I'm also assuming that's where the
- 33:13animal cruelty charges came from. Having having been previously previously married to in Australian,
- 33:21that story not shocking. For the briefest moment I thought you were going
- 33:27to say, not true. No, I'm just like par for the course.
- 33:32So your ex wife also ran around with ducklings in her underwear? The
- 33:37stories that you hear about some of the stuff that they or did she make
- 33:40you run around with them in your underwear? No, So that's the that's
- 33:45the best part. Did she set fire to something? Yes, she is
- 33:51underwear. Yes. The irony of it is they call like speedos and or
- 33:58like tight like like the tidy whities. They call them budgee smugglers, And
- 34:01budge is a type of bird. And so I think he was living up
- 34:06to the name of said underwear is why he had Now, I mean I
- 34:10could be I was just trying to justify why grown man had ducklings in his
- 34:15underwear. And I now know the shame of Oak Island. Ye. So
- 34:21yeah. So like even if it was like Australian man fights kangaroo, I'm
- 34:24like that makes sense. Australia is basically the equivalent. I mean, like
- 34:29if Florida was a continent, it would be Australia. I love the people,
- 34:35the friends that I've made from there, but like their story, Like
- 34:37if you would tell this story to them, they'd be like, yeah,
- 34:40that right, we have one of those in our town too. It's names
- 34:46Steve, and I don't usually use it twice, but it just felt so
- 34:54nice the first time. I figured why not and not to be outdone trade.
- 35:06Do you know where this story took place? Like, do you know
- 35:09a country? Yes, New Zealand, New Zealand, Okay, I thought
- 35:15it was in that general vicinity, So Australia's step brother. So I don't
- 35:22know if you guys are aware. Raj. You may be aware since you
- 35:24were at one point married to an Australian woman. But there is a little
- 35:30bit of sibling rivalry between the Aussies and the Kiwis. So New Zealand,
- 35:36you know, is that little brother of Australia, and sometimes they'll do things
- 35:38to also get thrown into the news, feeling left out because Australia is getting
- 35:43all the attention and this may be a classic example of that. Maybe the
- 35:49people in this story were jealous of the Friday Night in Australia that the one
- 35:53arsonist had with the Ducklings. Because this quiz team from New Zealand Okay,
- 36:01thought it'd be a good idea to dress as ku Klux Klan members at a
- 36:06community fundraiser while doing a quiz game. Yeah, that sounds about right.
- 36:19The men, the men, dressed in white ku Klux Klan hoods and carrying
- 36:23a gasoline can attended a quiz night on August nineteenth and called their team give
- 36:31us a clue? Wow, anyone else afraid to giggle at that? I
- 36:39will. It is good word play, but still a terrible idea. I'll
- 36:45give props on the word play, but terrible idea even around terrible idea.
- 36:51The evening was held at a council meeting hall and organized by a community group
- 36:55to raise money for a charity. Of course, the KKK is a clandestine
- 37:00white supremacist organization from the United States which terrorized the country for many, many,
- 37:07many many years. I just I really don't know if there's a better
- 37:13example of what not to do than this. Is there a picture of this?
- 37:17Can you have a picture of this moment? I do not link that
- 37:24trace and I did not see a photo. Oh wait, yeah I believe
- 37:30there is. Yeah, that is yeah, I see. I always wonder
- 37:37this like I always wonder because this is when the logical side of my brain
- 37:40comes out, like uh oh yeah that is wow. That saw the photo,
- 37:46didn't you? Yeah? That is that is wow. I see,
- 37:52this is what I was trying to say. This is the logical side of
- 37:53my brain. How do you? Okay, I can see if it's like
- 37:59I can't, but I can in my brain go. There's two guys going,
- 38:02this is what we should do, and the other guy goes, uh
- 38:07no, come on man, and the other guy goes, okay, how
- 38:08do you get other people to go that is a great idea? And and
- 38:17and the guy that goes, I'll bring the gas can and you're going,
- 38:21okay, there's something wrong with Mike, Like that's what I'm like, like
- 38:29that, how do you? I don't know how that works. I don't
- 38:31know how you get a group of people to go, yes, what we've
- 38:36been doing with these sheets this whole time? I'm like, when there's so
- 38:43many other impractical uses, what do you were into the quiz event I just
- 38:51did. Is the KKK like global now? Or were they just watching like
- 38:55a bad like a mel Brooks movie and they thought, oh, this would
- 38:59be funny idea of make fun of the Americans. I don't think that.
- 39:00I don't think the clan is global. But stupidity is stupidity knows no boarders
- 39:07And yeah, I would also And I would also like to point out that
- 39:13while this is a freakishly terrible idea and a horrific thing to actually do,
- 39:22like the idea of doing it is bad enough, but then the fact but
- 39:25then they actually went through with it makes it even worse. Right, Yeah,
- 39:30all that being said, I would absolutely watch on TV the mashup of
- 39:37Jerry Springer meets Jeopardy. I would watch. I would watch that new game
- 39:45show that would be the new Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? You've got
- 39:47thirty million people tuning in to see, you know, the clan versus the
- 39:52Black Panthers versus little versus Little People of America and everyone's fighting everyone but with
- 40:00buzzers. Oh, this is the greatest Avengers endgame I've ever heard of.
- 40:07I'll take, say, cheating midgets for six hundred tray tray, No,
- 40:13you can't say midgets anymore, right, how dare you? Little people infidelity,
- 40:19little people with infidelity for six hundred alex. That would be an amazing
- 40:22category. First of all, that would but that's like, that's right next
- 40:27to potent potables at that point though, with a little person buzz in and
- 40:31say, actually, I think I prefer Midget Now. Be sure to follow
