- Keenan: All right, so welcome back to Rude and Real with Keenan. I'm Keenan. day nine. The final episode of our nine days to believe series. Over the past nine days, ⁓ nine days, we've looked at some unforgettable by Ted Lasso. But this series has never really been about a television show. It's been about something much bigger. We've talked about curiosity, belief, failure, obedience, the growth, ⁓ chances, hope. Today, season four of Ted Lasso premieres, I want to ask one final question. What did the this ⁓ why did this resonate with millions of people? I don't think people fell in love with Ted Lasso because of soccer or football, if you're from that part of the world. think they fell in love with hope, with kindness, with grace, ⁓ forgiveness, with redemption, with the belief that broken people can change. Because every one of us ⁓ for those things. We long for change. We long to be better. ⁓ want someone to believe in us. We want to know that our worst mistake doesn't define us. We another chance. ⁓ We want purpose. We want hope. And while Ted Lasso reminds us that those things matter, believe it also points us to an even greater, more beautiful story. Everything admired through this series, Jesus embodies perfectly curiosity. Jesus consistently and constantly asked questions that invited people into a deeper relationship. Jesus showed grace. No one demonstrated grace more completely than Christ did. Forgiveness. He offered it while hanging on the cross. Second chances. Just ask Peter. And hope. The empty tune changed history forever. Ted Lasso inspires us, sure. But Jesus transforms us. encourages us to become better, the other makes us brand new. That's why my hope has never ultimately rested in a TV show or a career or counseling license or success or even myself. My hope rests in Jesus Christ. It always has been and always will be. the last nine days, we've learned to be curious instead of judgmental. We've learned to believe, be a goldfish, do the right thing. Measure by faithfulness. Tell yourself the truth. Step outside your comfort zone. Receive God's grace. And today, choose where your belief ultimately belongs. you listen from day one until now, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It's been one of my favorite series I've done so far. But prayer is that you don't just remember the quotes. I pray remember the truths behind them. That curiosity builds relationships, faith overcomes fear, that failure is not your identity, that obedience is worth the cost, that matters more than applause, that truth leads to freedom, that growth courage, ⁓ that grace greater than shame, and above all, that Jesus Christ is the source of hope we've been searching So as we close this out, I want to leave you with one question. Who or what are you placing your belief in? Because eventually, every career changes, relationship faces challenges. Every leader disappoints. Every television show ends. Every earthly success ⁓ But Hebrews 13:8 reminds us of this: ⁓ Christ. Is the same yesterday and today and forever. That's the kind of hope worth building your life. So let's pray this. God, thank you for these nine days. Thank you for every listener who laughed, reflected, wrestled, and grew alongside of us. Thank you for reminding us that our identity isn't bound to success or failure, but in Christ. us leave this series with more than inspiration. Give us transformation. ⁓ us to love more deeply. Forgive more freely. Trust more completely. Live more faithfully, and above all, help us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. May everything we've learned over these last nine days point us back to Him. His name we pray. Amen. If you've enjoyed the Nine Days of Belize, I think you're gonna love what's coming next. This Thursday, that's tomorrow, we're returning with a very special interview featuring my supervisor, mentor, Stacy Greenberg, who's a licensed clinical social worker, founder and CEO of Heart Bonds Counseling. In this conversation, Stacy talks about the incredible journey that led her from a passion to psychology, adoption, and serving vulnerable children. To building one of Central Florida's thriving group counseling practices. We talk about what it means to follow God's calling when the path isn't clear, how faith gives us the courage to take risks. What she's learned about leadership after growing from a solo practitioner to leading a team of more than 20 therapists. dive into the trauma informed care, mentorship, private practice, balancing family and work, ⁓ why no one builds something meaningful alone. Whether you're counselor, a business owner, ministry leader, or simply someone trying to discern God's direction for your life, I truly believe you're encouraged. You'll be encouraged by Stacey's story. One of my favorite things she says is, you can't do everything alone. You need support. And she says, follow your calling, even if the path isn't clear. Those words perfectly capture the heart of everything we've been talking about over these last nine days. So make sure you're subscribed, turn on notifications, and join me this Thursday. For what I believe is one of the most encouraging and inspiring conversations we've ever had on Rooted and Real with Keenan. Until then, stay rooted in Christ, stay real with yourself, and stop believing. I'm Keenan. This has Rooted in Real. God bless, and we'll see you all next time.
