- 3:30Speaker 2: Hey, this is a pimped out granny van. I mean,
- 3:33Speaker 2: I was deciding we needed to put a flat screen
- 3:35Speaker 2: on the ceiling, you know, exhibit style. But other than that,
- 3:38Speaker 2: it's got mood lighting.
- 3:39Speaker 8: It's got a fancy VCR and everything.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah, we're entering into the 80s and shit. It's awesome.
- 3:46Speaker 8: Travel back in time and get some VHS.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I brought exterminators, too. What were you saying?
- 3:53Speaker 5: There, see?
- 3:55Speaker 2: You can't go wrong.
- 3:56Speaker 8: Shit.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Hey, that's a fine movie. I don't care what you say.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Blush and Bashful. That's all I gots to say.
- 4:06Speaker 8: Oh, well.
- 4:08Speaker 2: That's the... Yeah, why don't we have an 8-track? I'm
- 4:13Speaker 2: gonna put on the reel-to-reel.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Oh, hell yeah.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Dual cassette. I could, like.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Could I dub? Can I dub from one cassette to
- 4:23Speaker 2: the other cassette? Does it have one-touch recording? That's pretty awesome.
- 4:29Speaker 8: There is a record button.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I still think we need to get on the CB
- 4:32Speaker 2: and start talking to some truckers.
- 4:33Speaker 8: I can't find anything on there.
- 4:35Speaker 7: I don't know how to function it.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Turn up the squelch.
- 4:37Speaker 11: Let's start cracking with all the other truckers.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Our trucker name is Highway Spatula.
- 4:43Speaker 8: It's going to be candy cane.
- 4:45Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
- 4:50Speaker 2: Candy cane.
- 4:52Speaker 8: Short bus.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Short bus.
- 4:54Speaker 8: That would be more fitting.
- 4:56Speaker 2: That is our handle.
- 4:58Speaker 8: I did bring my Velcro shoes, so we're all set.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Jay is not wearing his helmet at all. That is
- 5:07Speaker 2: the Velcro of Misty's special shoes. Kangaroos, those are awesome, dude.
- 5:13Speaker 5: Kangaroos are the shit.
- 5:15Speaker 12: And a little teeny zipper on the side where you
- 5:17Speaker 12: can keep your milk money, which was 15 cents.
- 5:20Speaker 8: Back in the day. Or somebody stole it from you.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Well, no.
- 5:23Speaker 5: You can just run real fast.
- 5:24Speaker 2: The one side I had a house key in. It
- 5:26Speaker 2: was pretty fucking handy.
- 5:27Speaker 8: It was awesome. You can't run with that money.
- 5:29Speaker 11: Now kids, they keep their crack rock in there, meth wad,
- 5:32Speaker 11: whatever the hell it is.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Cool.
- 5:34Speaker 5: They're slinging from their kids.
- 5:36Speaker 8: It's a different world now. It's very sad.
- 5:39Speaker 2: As long as you still got your ruse, though, that's
- 5:44Speaker 2: all I get. Building an empire off your ruse.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Yeah, right?
- 5:48Speaker 5: They're the two very smuggling range. Let's take this shit
- 5:51Speaker 5: seriously now.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Anything else we need to figure out while we're cruising
- 5:55Speaker 2: along here? Do we have cruise control? Did we figure
- 5:59Speaker 2: that out?
- 5:59Speaker 5: I'm trying to figure out right now.
- 6:03Speaker 8: There we go. Let's see my Selena Gomez notebook that
- 6:05Speaker 8: has all our destinations in it.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yeah, we have to check the itinerary in the Selena
- 6:08Speaker 2: Gomez notebook.
- 6:09Speaker 13: Selena Gomez.
- 6:10Speaker 12: Look at that little, what's that, a diary for the 12-year-olds?
- 6:13Speaker 2: What is that?
- 6:15Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness.
- 6:17Speaker 8: And she's so cute. And it's glittery.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Ah, it's better. Everything's better if it's glittery, right?
- 6:24Speaker 8: Oh, and all vampires suck at it.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Oh, that's true.
- 6:29Speaker 8: I think we're.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Getting a weird interference. We just got radared. I don't know.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Maybe this also doubles as a radar detector.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I think it's a ghost detector.
- 6:41Speaker 14: Fucking Egon and shit.
- 6:43Speaker 12: Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Alright, we will check back in with you as we
- 6:50Speaker 2: get further up the road, I'm sure.
- 6:51Speaker 8: It's like we ended up in a ditch, right?
- 6:59Speaker 15: I fell in love again. All things go, all things
- 7:05Speaker 15: go Drove to Chicago All things known, all things known
- 7:14Speaker 15: We sold our clothes to the state I don't mind,
- 7:20Speaker 15: I don't mind I made a lot of mistakes in.
- 7:26Speaker 16: My mind.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Drive away your worries and cares at this drive-in theater
- 7:40Speaker 3: where you will see the finest motion pictures of all
- 7:43Speaker 3: time soon.
- 7:44Speaker 7: To be released.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Drama, comedy, adventure, excitement, something for everyone. Here's a brief
- 7:52Speaker 3: glimpse of some of the truly fine pictures we've scheduled
- 7:55Speaker 3: in the near future.
- 7:57Speaker 16: Eat my dust!
- 8:01Speaker 3: Ron Howard steals a super stocker, pops the clutch, and
- 8:04Speaker 3: tells the world to eat my dust.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I got more speeding tickets than anybody else in the county.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Ron Howard, the craziest driver in town, steals the fastest
- 8:15Speaker 3: wheels in.
- 8:15Speaker 1: The state and tears up the entire county. Eat my dust.
- 8:20Speaker 5: Rated PG.
- 8:21Speaker 6: Parental guidance.
- 8:22Speaker 15: You'll never be my fool.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Alright, we are back. And we are, actually, we've jumped
- 8:57Speaker 2: ahead an entire day since last time. So, yeah, it
- 9:01Speaker 2: was such a mess audio-wise at the show that we
- 9:04Speaker 2: didn't even bother recording anything there because it's overwhelmingly noisy. Yeah,
- 9:11Speaker 2: it's just, we'll get to that in a minute. So, yeah,
- 9:13Speaker 2: now we're at the hotel the day after. So, we've
- 9:17Speaker 2: been to the show yesterday. Now we're back doing the
- 9:19Speaker 2: rest of the rundown.
- 9:20Speaker 4: So, yeah.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:22Speaker 7: Marlena's recovering from her meltdown, I think. Her meltdown? Too
- 9:26Speaker 7: many people, exactly.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 5: That's true. The sweaty kids. The odd smells.
- 9:31Speaker 2: So that will be our activities. We've all decided we
- 9:35Speaker 2: didn't really do anything other than get prepared for this.
- 9:38Speaker 2: So our geek activities this week are going to be
- 9:40Speaker 2: our communal trip to be. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 17: We did go to the fair.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Oh, shit.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Well, okay.
- 9:46Speaker 2: There you go. So let's do that one then.
- 9:48Speaker 17: Chocolate-covered strawberries.
- 9:50Speaker 2: We did go to the fair last week.
- 9:51Speaker 7: Are those phallic looking?
- 9:52Speaker 17: Yes.
- 9:53Speaker 18: All fair food is phallic looking because they insist on
- 9:55Speaker 18: putting everything on a stick.
- 9:57Speaker 17: Pork butt on a stick. Chicken on a stick.
- 9:59Speaker 19: Popsicle.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Fried butter on a stick. Stick on a stick.
- 10:04Speaker 7: Crispy cream hamburgers.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Hey, those should be on a stick. I still want
- 10:08Speaker 2: to have one of those.
- 10:09Speaker 16: It should be on two sticks.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Yeah, really.
- 10:11Speaker 7: Like corn on the cob holders.
- 10:12Speaker 2: It should be.
- 10:13Speaker 5: Banned under the Geneva Convention.
- 10:15Speaker 7: This is cruel and unusual.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah, if in your neighborhood you haven't had a steak
- 10:19Speaker 2: fair or you have taste... Yeah, they introduced this year
- 10:23Speaker 2: a hamburger where the buns are donuts. If you have
- 10:26Speaker 2: Krispy Kreme, it's specifically a Krispy Kreme donut, which makes
- 10:29Speaker 2: it a little better, but still, yeah, it's a fried hamburger,
- 10:33Speaker 2: and then they put it between two donuts.
- 10:36Speaker 7: Are the donuts then fried?
- 10:39Speaker 2: I think the whole thing should be deep fried.
- 10:41Speaker 5: At that point.
- 10:41Speaker 16: You have a deep fried burger somewhere.
- 10:45Speaker 2: It should be.
- 10:45Speaker 18: I think there's a restaurant here in Chicago, actually, that
- 10:48Speaker 18: they just, like, Stick everything in batter and deep fry stuff?
- 10:52Speaker 2: I think so. I know there's one in New York
- 10:55Speaker 2: that does that. Basically, you can bring stuff in and
- 10:57Speaker 2: they will do it.
- 10:58Speaker 20: I'm pretty sure you could get Osama Bin Laden to
- 11:01Speaker 20: come out of a cave for one of those.
- 11:02Speaker 5: They should just blanket Afghanistan with.
- 11:05Speaker 16: Deep fried shit.
- 11:05Speaker 5: With deep fried shit, because they would come out and go, oh, look,
- 11:08Speaker 5: American food.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Oh, this is great.
- 11:10Speaker 5: It all slowly dropped in. And then they would all
- 11:12Speaker 5: die from the amount of cholesterol, because, I mean, come on.
- 11:14Speaker 7: They just get so fat they couldn't run anymore.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Well, no, I mean, you know.
- 11:17Speaker 7: You couldn't get back in his cave.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't hide if you're too fat to get
- 11:20Speaker 2: in the cave.
- 11:20Speaker 17: You can't go back into his hide hole.
- 11:21Speaker 20: We've been conditioned to this kind of, like, you know,
- 11:23Speaker 20: trans fats and oils and butter and fried shit.
- 11:27Speaker 2: It's true.
- 11:28Speaker 5: They eat one of those, and they'll just... fucking keel
- 11:30Speaker 5: over and die.
- 11:31Speaker 2: We just can't give it to the other people. We
- 11:32Speaker 2: need to find specifically the bad people. We don't want
- 11:35Speaker 2: to drop it on the.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Come on.
- 11:37Speaker 2: There's innocent people we don't need to kill with our
- 11:39Speaker 2: horrible food.
- 11:40Speaker 7: Children should know better anyway.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. Kids, don't eat the fried bullshit we
- 11:44Speaker 2: keep giving to you.
- 11:45Speaker 7: Adults are dumber.
- 11:46Speaker 2: But that's what I decided when they introduced that. They
- 11:49Speaker 2: were talking about it on the news and I was like,
- 11:50Speaker 2: a hamburger between two donuts. I'm proud to be an American.
- 11:55Speaker 21: It's like a.
- 11:56Speaker 2: It really is. I mean, no other.
- 11:57Speaker 5: It's just, it's extreme decadence.
- 11:59Speaker 2: It is.
- 12:00Speaker 20: What can we do to make ourselves completely fat and
- 12:02Speaker 20: hated by everybody?
- 12:03Speaker 16: Chicken breasts.
- 12:05Speaker 20: People are starving in Africa and we're putting fucking hamburgers
- 12:09Speaker 20: between crispy donuts.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Look at me.
- 12:11Speaker 5: I'm fat.
- 12:12Speaker 16: I got food.
- 12:12Speaker 5: We're just playing around with things.
- 12:14Speaker 7: What if we put mayonnaise on it?
- 12:15Speaker 5: Don't you like this? Oh, you can't get a bite. Mmm.
- 12:18Speaker 7: Cheese.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Deep fry. Like, just pour mayonnaise into a deep fryer.
- 12:23Speaker 7: And that on your burger.
- 12:25Speaker 16: You actually cannot.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Scoop it back out, does it?
- 12:27Speaker 5: Have you tried it?
- 12:28Speaker 2: She has.
- 12:29Speaker 7: I was bored at macaroni girl.
- 12:31Speaker 16: I was like, I wonder what I can fry.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Hit that.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Wow, it's like an episode of Beavis and Buttons. The
- 12:38Speaker 2: stapler ended up in there, didn't it?
- 12:40Speaker 5: Box of macaroni and cheese.
- 12:42Speaker 7: In turn. Good times.
- 12:45Speaker 2: So yeah, fried food and Joan Jett, who is fucking awesome,
- 12:49Speaker 2: by the way.
- 12:49Speaker 17: I am concerned for her well-being, though.
- 12:51Speaker 7: I wanted to give her a piggyback ride. She's kind
- 12:53Speaker 7: of like that.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I kind of want to give her a piggyback ride anyway.
- 12:55Speaker 17: She's not like 51. She's not that old.
- 12:58Speaker 5: My grandma can walk.
- 12:59Speaker 17: She still looks.
- 13:01Speaker 5: Good for Owl.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah, she looks good. And her hair is back.
- 13:04Speaker 17: She just needs to eat a fucking sandwich.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Well, she's always been a little girl. I mean, now
- 13:09Speaker 2: she's just.
- 13:09Speaker 22: She's tiny, but they had to lead her off and
- 13:11Speaker 22: on stage towards the end because she.
- 13:13Speaker 16: Had to stay.
- 13:14Speaker 2: On her knees? Yeah, she said it was her knees,
- 13:16Speaker 2: so I don't know if she's just.
- 13:17Speaker 5: A lone shark.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Well, she's lived a hard life.
- 13:21Speaker 22: She done pissed Leta Ford off.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Fuck Leta Ford. Joan Jett will kick her ass any
- 13:27Speaker 2: day of the week. I'd pay good money to see that, actually.
- 13:31Speaker 17: That would be awesome.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I'd pay good money to see Joan Jett kick anybody's ass.
- 13:34Speaker 7: Especially Kristen Stewart.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Especially Kristen Stewart.
- 13:37Speaker 9: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Let's start a petition for that.
- 13:40Speaker 7: I'm down.
- 13:41Speaker 22: I'm still excited that I'm pretty sure I heard that
- 13:43Speaker 22: Joan Jett made Kristen Stewart cry.
- 13:45Speaker 2: She should keep making her cry as she pounds her
- 13:47Speaker 2: fist into it.
- 13:48Speaker 7: I'd hold her up while she did it.
- 13:49Speaker 2: There you go.
- 13:50Speaker 16: I would hold her feet down.
- 13:52Speaker 7: I'll say I'll hold Joan Jett up while she beats me.
- 13:55Speaker 7: I thought you were saying hold her up.
- 13:57Speaker 2: She needs a little help, you know. We'll be glad
- 13:59Speaker 2: to help you out, Jen.
- 14:00Speaker 16: I'll get her a wheelchair.
- 14:01Speaker 22: I'm telling you, I want to give her a piggyback ride.
- 14:03Speaker 22: She'd be a little spider monkey.
- 14:04Speaker 8: On my back.
- 14:05Speaker 2: She doesn't even motorize. I'd wheel her around. She's showing debt, man.
- 14:08Speaker 16: What if she had a motorized when she did, like.
- 14:10Speaker 2: She'd just run over people.
- 14:11Speaker 16: Yeah, exactly.
- 14:12Speaker 7: She's pretty damn awesome.
- 14:14Speaker 2: She is awesome. And still rocks. Like, she still has
- 14:17Speaker 2: her voice. She still, you know, gets up there and plays.
- 14:20Speaker 2: I mean, that's the thing. I was like, by the end,
- 14:22Speaker 2: I was like, damn, she's a trooper. Because midway into
- 14:24Speaker 2: the show, her legs were fucked up to the point
- 14:26Speaker 2: she kept stopping and, like, talking with the other people.
- 14:29Speaker 21: And.
- 14:30Speaker 2: She never went, well, that's it, I'm going home, which
- 14:32Speaker 2: many pissy rock stars would have.
- 14:33Speaker 7: She could have been playing a free show at the fair.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah, a free show. You know, she could have just
- 14:36Speaker 2: been like, well, okay, one more song and we're out
- 14:38Speaker 2: of here. She played the rest of the set and
- 14:41Speaker 2: propped herself.
- 14:41Speaker 16: Up on like.
- 14:42Speaker 5: And made an encore.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and came back out for an encore.
- 14:45Speaker 5: It's a free show, but I guarantee they get paid.
- 14:47Speaker 16: Oh, they do.
- 14:47Speaker 5: They don't do it for free.
- 14:48Speaker 2: They do, but you can tell sometimes they don't put
- 14:50Speaker 2: as much time and effort in the free shows. Yeah.
- 14:53Speaker 2: You can tell sometimes they wrap it up in like
- 14:54Speaker 2: 45 minutes where it's normally like an hour and a
- 14:57Speaker 2: half show, so... She didn't do that, and considering she
- 15:00Speaker 2: was in immense pain, I'm assuming, that's fucking awesome, because she's, like,
- 15:04Speaker 2: they brought her out. Well, they brought her out, like,
- 15:06Speaker 2: one of the sort of extended drummer pedestal kind of things,
- 15:09Speaker 2: because it was a little higher. She tried the chair,
- 15:11Speaker 2: and it, like, her mic wouldn't reach, so they brought
- 15:13Speaker 2: her out one of the drummer's, like, pedestals. And so
- 15:15Speaker 2: she's just kind of leaning on it, because they're kind
- 15:17Speaker 2: of high anyway, so she's just sort of leaning against
- 15:19Speaker 2: it and fucking, like, doing kick-ass guitar solos. So you
- 15:24Speaker 2: have to give her credit. She can't even stand up,
- 15:25Speaker 2: and she's still rocking.
- 15:27Speaker 19: She's awesome.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I believe I made that point last week. You don't
- 15:29Speaker 2: need to be able to stand to perform. That's what
- 15:32Speaker 2: we said about Peggy Lee. Following in Peggy Lee's footsteps,
- 15:36Speaker 2: she's continuing to kick ass.
- 15:38Speaker 18: And unrelated, but I just thought about this and I
- 15:40Speaker 18: wanted to say it just so I don't forget. My
- 15:43Speaker 18: friend was talking about some stuff and he's going through
- 15:46Speaker 18: a hard time and he was like, you just gotta.
- 15:47Speaker 17: Keep standing and then you'll eventually be able to walk again.
- 15:49Speaker 17: I was like, That's a good quote. I'll try to
- 15:52Speaker 17: remember that.
- 15:53Speaker 7: I'll tell you something completely unrelated. These blankets in the
- 15:56Speaker 7: hotel are really soft.
- 15:57Speaker 5: Right?
- 15:59Speaker 1: But you're not.
- 15:59Speaker 5: They're blankets.
- 16:00Speaker 7: Yeah, they're awesome.
- 16:02Speaker 16: What's between two sheets? Oh, no wonder I didn't know
- 16:05Speaker 16: it was there.
- 16:06Speaker 5: I tricked you.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I at least had to like it. It was a
- 16:13Speaker 2: thick sheet. We were on the inflatable mattress.
- 16:15Speaker 18: Yeah, I think that's smart because, like, they wash all
- 16:18Speaker 18: of these, unlike most telecomforters where it's just, like, it's
- 16:21Speaker 18: covered in herpes and AIDS.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Well, it didn't help that yesterday we sat there watching
- 16:28Speaker 2: the Dirty Jobs and the entire special was what's living
- 16:31Speaker 2: inside mattresses. And the fact that a mattress over about
- 16:36Speaker 2: a 10-year span gains 20 pounds is frightening. yeah he
- 16:41Speaker 2: said it starts off of dead skin and creepy dna
- 16:46Speaker 2: that you leave behind so yeah that's my yeah so
- 16:52Speaker 2: maybe i'm glad i didn't sleep on these mattresses sticking
- 16:55Speaker 2: with the inflatable air mattress oh any other fair activities
- 16:59Speaker 2: before we move on um we saw bunnies yeah we
- 17:04Speaker 2: saw giant bunnies and Fluffy bunnies.
- 17:06Speaker 9: Did you see them pulling the hair off the bunnies
- 17:09Speaker 9: and making the sweater?
- 17:11Speaker 2: They did have those there. Fluffy angora bunnies.
- 17:13Speaker 22: We spent most of the time singing the bunnies, bunnies,
- 17:16Speaker 22: it must be bunnies.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Who was not here this week? I have no idea
- 17:21Speaker 2: what you're talking about.
- 17:22Speaker 7: We saw her last year.
- 17:24Speaker 2: At this time. Actually, I just kept walking around for
- 17:26Speaker 2: a few minutes going, or maybe midgets.
- 17:30Speaker 16: Was that a midget? Yeah.
- 17:33Speaker 7: He was dressed up, too.
- 17:34Speaker 8: Was he?
- 17:35Speaker 16: Yeah, it was when I was coming back from the bathroom.
- 17:36Speaker 16: He scared me because he was going around in a corner.
- 17:39Speaker 5: I was going around in a corner. Was he, like, proto?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Was he talking?
- 17:43Speaker 7: He was actually, he was at length.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Was he at length?
- 17:46Speaker 2: Oh, that's kind of awesome.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:47Speaker 17: I'm going to use my midget-saturated to my advantage.
- 17:50Speaker 9: He just had on a hat and shoes and ears.
- 17:52Speaker 7: He wore no pants.
- 17:54Speaker 5: That's all he had on.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Doesn't surprise me.
- 17:57Speaker 18: This is my main problem with the convention. I just
- 18:00Speaker 18: got tired of seeing dudes' dick outlined through their leotards.
- 18:03Speaker 5: Oh my god, I'm so horrible. Especially Moon Knight, man.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Moon Knight was pretty cool, but I was like... I
- 18:10Speaker 5: was like, yeah, Moon Knight.
- 18:13Speaker 9: I was right next to Skeletor's package at one point.
- 18:16Speaker 17: I'm like, dude, you're taking your photos with children.
- 18:20Speaker 16: Wear a cup, goddammit.
- 18:21Speaker 5: I mean, they sell cups at Walgreens.
- 18:23Speaker 16: They're like three bucks.
- 18:24Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 18:24Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Either way, it's creepy.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 18:36Speaker 17: That Robin guy?
- 18:38Speaker 16: Who's the creepiest? The tall baby Huey Robin?
- 18:40Speaker 1: Baby Huey Robin, yeah.
- 18:42Speaker 23: What?
- 18:42Speaker 2: Huge.
- 18:43Speaker 8: Right when we.
- 18:43Speaker 16: Walked in, we saw this Robin. He was, like, posing
- 18:45Speaker 16: like his junk out, literally. Yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 8: And it's, like.
- 18:50Speaker 18: He was so tall, his dick was, like, small child's
- 18:53Speaker 18: head height. It's just like, oh, cool, here's some creepy
- 18:57Speaker 18: dude dresses Robin, my kid, and some dude's dick.
- 19:01Speaker 1: You know?
- 19:01Speaker 2: It's like, gross. Here, put your face right here, child.
- 19:04Speaker 16: Those pictures are going to suck.
- 19:06Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 19:07Speaker 16: Kids crying.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Later, like, 20 years from now, the kid will find
- 19:11Speaker 2: that photo and then press charges.
- 19:12Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 19:13Speaker 2: This is why I'm fucked up.
- 19:15Speaker 7: Hopefully they're masked here.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:17Speaker 18: Mm-hmm.
- 19:18Speaker 2: No against their parents.
- 19:20Speaker 20: I took a bunch of pictures of costume people, which
- 19:23Speaker 20: is kind of like, that's what I do at the convention.
- 19:26Speaker 5: I scout for people in costumes.
- 19:27Speaker 2: That has been your favorite thing the last couple of years.
- 19:29Speaker 5: That's generally what my favorite thing is.
- 19:31Speaker 7: Which is pissing me off, because I tried to follow,
- 19:33Speaker 7: and you kept darting off. I had a fucking bunny
- 19:35Speaker 7: in it.
- 19:35Speaker 2: You were, you were like a ninja.
- 19:37Speaker 5: You gotta be fucking fast. You gotta be fast to
- 19:39Speaker 5: get these people.
- 19:40Speaker 2: You stayed on top of them, I'll give you credit.
- 19:42Speaker 2: You were chasing them down, and you were like, dude, stop! Okay,
- 19:44Speaker 2: now take a picture.
- 19:46Speaker 20: Sometimes it's kind of hard because last year wasn't that bad. uh,
- 19:49Speaker 20: there didn't seem like there was as much people, but
- 19:51Speaker 20: this year, good.
- 19:52Speaker 5: God, it was a lot.
- 19:53Speaker 17: Shatner was here.
- 19:54Speaker 5: I've never seen so many fucking people. Yeah.
- 19:57Speaker 7: I mean, it was like, Shatner was here.
- 19:59Speaker 5: He was here, but still.
- 20:00Speaker 7: For a brief time before he left.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:02Speaker 20: But good God, he's just trying to get pictures of
- 20:04Speaker 20: people and not have other people run into you or
- 20:07Speaker 20: walk in front of you or just, you know, shit
- 20:09Speaker 20: like that.
- 20:10Speaker 5: But I mean, I got a good majority of people,
- 20:12Speaker 5: not as many as I would have.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Liked, but.
- 20:14Speaker 2: You got a good amount.
- 20:16Speaker 5: I think I got probably over 50. Yeah, I got
- 20:21Speaker 5: to go to the lobby. That's the best place to
- 20:23Speaker 5: stalk them is in the lobby because you get them.
- 20:25Speaker 16: Coming in and going out.
- 20:26Speaker 20: Yeah, see, I got those guys last year and I
- 20:30Speaker 20: tried to get them again.
- 20:32Speaker 7: What, the Wayne and Garth? Did you see the Wayne
- 20:34Speaker 7: and Garth?
- 20:34Speaker 5: The Wayne and Garth is really cool. I got the
- 20:36Speaker 5: Star Trek nerds. Those guys were cool as shit. They
- 20:39Speaker 5: told me that He told me that some of the Trekkies... Well,
- 20:41Speaker 5: they were always playing as Star Trek nerds.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah. That's what I thought.
- 20:44Speaker 20: Some of the Star Trek guys were getting pissed at him.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Let's describe them, because I don't think people can. I mean,
- 20:49Speaker 2: they're all Star Trek nerds there, but I mean... These.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Guys were specifically dressed in, like, sweatpants with their.
- 20:56Speaker 20: Socks pulled up over their sweatpants. One of them had
- 20:58Speaker 20: a dryer sheet hanging out of his socks. Had the Vulcaneers,
- 21:03Speaker 20: the dirty glasses.
- 21:04Speaker 2: They weren't even like real Vulcaneers. They were like bad
- 21:06Speaker 2: knockoff Vulcaneers.
- 21:07Speaker 7: They were taped on with like scotch tape.
- 21:09Speaker 5: I couldn't tell.
- 21:10Speaker 8: See, that's the thing.
- 21:10Speaker 17: I was like, I can't tell if they're being funny
- 21:13Speaker 17: and ironic or if that is just.
- 21:15Speaker 3: No, they.
- 21:15Speaker 5: Were being funny and ironic.
- 21:16Speaker 2: But that's the... bad place to do that because then
- 21:19Speaker 2: you are going to piss people off but then you go,
- 21:21Speaker 2: never mind, they're Star Trek nerds. What, are you going
- 21:24Speaker 2: to get your ass kicked by them? I don't think so.
- 21:26Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 21:27Speaker 20: There were a lot of them there which I usually
- 21:28Speaker 20: don't get pictures of the Trekkies that much because.
- 21:32Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I guess it could be like, you know, zombie outbreak.
- 21:35Speaker 2: I mean, if you get enough of them together, they're dangerous.
- 21:37Speaker 2: If one at a time, you can take out Trekkies.
- 21:39Speaker 2: But if you get 50 or 60 of them around you, shit.
- 21:42Speaker 7: It's like, as far as the.
- 21:43Speaker 20: Trekkies are concerned, I don't usually take pictures of them
- 21:45Speaker 20: just because it's like they just put on a shirt.
- 21:47Speaker 5: And it's like, hey, I've got my communicator.
- 21:49Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:49Speaker 20: Whereas, like, guys that put a lot of fucking work
- 21:52Speaker 20: into their costume, yeah, maybe they don't look that great.
- 21:54Speaker 20: But at least, you know, the night before, they probably
- 21:57Speaker 20: stayed up. for two days fucking making their costumes. So
- 22:01Speaker 20: I'll give them that, you know, and that's cool. Cobra
- 22:04Speaker 20: Commander was there again. It's funny that you know these
- 22:07Speaker 20: people now. Cobra Commander remembers me from last year because
- 22:10Speaker 20: I was talking to him about the G.I.
- 22:11Speaker 16: Joe movie.
- 22:12Speaker 20: She told me, do not go see because they take
- 22:14Speaker 20: your childhood and rape it.
- 22:16Speaker 5: And I told him, I was like, I still haven't
- 22:17Speaker 5: seen that movie.
- 22:18Speaker 2: And he goes, good.
- 22:18Speaker 5: He goes, wait for the fucking remake. He's like, don't
- 22:21Speaker 5: go see it.
- 22:21Speaker 2: And I was like, oh. Yeah, is it time for
- 22:23Speaker 2: a reboot already? No.
- 22:25Speaker 5: They reboot everything.
- 22:26Speaker 4: He knows.
- 22:27Speaker 3: He knows how it is.
- 22:27Speaker 2: It'll be bad.
- 22:28Speaker 19: He knows. He's down.
- 22:29Speaker 2: You know they're doing a sequel anyway, so you got
- 22:31Speaker 2: one or two bad sequels, and then in like five years,
- 22:33Speaker 2: it'll be time for a reboot. Exactly.
- 22:35Speaker 16: It's not like Joseph Gordon.
- 22:37Speaker 17: What about Joseph Gordon?
- 22:38Speaker 2: Well, you don't even see him in that movie.
- 22:40Speaker 17: Was he in that movie?
- 22:41Speaker 2: He's Cobra Commander.
- 22:42Speaker 17: Now I want to watch it.
- 22:43Speaker 5: I got the all-girl A-team.
- 22:44Speaker 2: You don't see him.
- 22:44Speaker 5: They were pretty cool. That was kind of different.
- 22:47Speaker 16: They didn't have Mr. T, though, did they?
- 22:48Speaker 5: Yeah, she was the one that was wearing the van.
- 22:51Speaker 7: Oh, I didn't know that.
- 22:53Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 22:53Speaker 2: She was white, wasn't she? She was white. Race doesn't matter, man. Well,
- 22:57Speaker 2: they were all women.
- 22:58Speaker 7: I mean, what are you going to.
- 23:00Speaker 22: Okay, I can give them leniency for being women, but Mr.
- 23:03Speaker 2: T is... They didn't have a black friend. What do.
- 23:07Speaker 8: You want?
- 23:07Speaker 16: They're Chicago.
- 23:08Speaker 17: Yeah, blackface is no longer okay.
- 23:11Speaker 2: No, not really. Well, didn't you see the Family Guy
- 23:14Speaker 2: episode when they won the costume contest? They were like,
- 23:15Speaker 2: and the winner is the A-team with a real black man.
- 23:19Speaker 2: And the other ones were like, damn it. So that's
- 23:22Speaker 2: what it was like.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Some of the best costumes. There was a guy dressed
- 23:27Speaker 5: as Mal that I did not get his picture because
- 23:29Speaker 5: he eluded me.
- 23:30Speaker 16: I did not see the Mal.
- 23:31Speaker 5: He looked exactly like Nathan Fillion. He had the hair
- 23:34Speaker 5: and everything.
- 23:35Speaker 20: It's probably for the best that we didn't find him.
- 23:39Speaker 16: Wow.
- 23:39Speaker 9: Nathan Fillion in a closet right now.
- 23:46Speaker 17: I didn't mean to laugh like that.
- 23:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I saw Zoe. I didn't see Wash.
- 23:50Speaker 16: Zoe was really, really good.
- 23:51Speaker 5: Wash was kind of meh.
- 23:53Speaker 22: I saw one that I was like, 10 years ago,
- 23:55Speaker 22: everybody would have recognized it, but he didn't even recognize
- 23:59Speaker 22: what she was dressed up as. But she had her
- 24:01Speaker 22: red hair and a ponytail, and she was wearing a
- 24:02Speaker 22: yellow shirt with red suspenders and jean shorts. Nobody got that.
- 24:06Speaker 22: I was like, she's Misty from Pokemon.
- 24:09Speaker 20: I just thought she was dressed regular.
- 24:12Speaker 5: She walked in the hallway, and she's like, it's Misty.
- 24:14Speaker 5: And I was like, what? Yeah, I know you're right here. No, no,
- 24:18Speaker 5: the girl was dressed up as Misty. I was like,
- 24:20Speaker 5: Misty who? And she was like, from Pokemon. I was like, Oh, damn.
- 24:25Speaker 16: I saw a little one dressed up as Pikachu.
- 24:27Speaker 9: Like a little bean of a child dressed up as Pikachu.
- 24:30Speaker 5: This one guy came in with his whole family. He
- 24:34Speaker 5: must have had.
- 24:34Speaker 7: Like Half a dozen little heathens.
- 24:36Speaker 5: He had like probably ten kids.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Jesus.
- 24:39Speaker 5: And he was dressed up like the cast from... They
- 24:41Speaker 5: were all dressed up like the cast from Avatar.
- 24:43Speaker 22: Oh.
- 24:44Speaker 7: And I got them.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Were they blue?
- 24:45Speaker 1: They were all blue.
- 24:46Speaker 5: They were all blue or whatever.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Oh, they have that avatar. There were a couple different Aang's.
- 24:49Speaker 5: There was like a couple avatars in there. But I
- 24:52Speaker 5: was just like, holy shit, he's got the whole cartoon.
- 24:55Speaker 5: Who is he dressed up as? Because I don't watch
- 24:57Speaker 5: that cartoon. I didn't recognize him.
- 24:59Speaker 7: I wonder if they were his kids or if they
- 25:00Speaker 7: just lured him in with candy.
- 25:02Speaker 5: I don't know if they were his kids because he was.
- 25:05Speaker 20: Either that or maybe he was a teacher and he
- 25:08Speaker 20: was taking them there.
- 25:09Speaker 18: Maybe.
- 25:09Speaker 2: That'd be cool. Did you see the super family? Once again,
- 25:12Speaker 2: this was no effort, but it was funny just because
- 25:13Speaker 2: it was so... It was a mom and dad, both
- 25:16Speaker 2: had the Superman t-shirt on, but they had the two
- 25:18Speaker 2: little babies in a stroller, both had Superman t-shirts on.
- 25:22Speaker 5: I saw the half-heart kid.
- 25:23Speaker 20: Guy that had the shirt that was torn open that
- 25:26Speaker 20: had Superman in the glasses.
- 25:28Speaker 2: That's kind of interesting. You don't get that.
- 25:30Speaker 17: I wish handsome guys would wander around.
- 25:32Speaker 18: That convention dressed like Clark Kent, then maybe I would
- 25:35Speaker 18: have stuck around.
- 25:36Speaker 5: There were a few handsome people. You missed the Green Lantern,
- 25:38Speaker 5: who was actually.
- 25:41Speaker 2: I was going to say that we were complaining about
- 25:44Speaker 2: people with their junk hanging out because they're all usually scary, old,
- 25:46Speaker 2: and fat. But this guy was in shape.
- 25:49Speaker 16: Fantastic package, apparently.
- 25:51Speaker 2: I didn't go to the package. He walked past me
- 25:54Speaker 2: and all I saw was his arms. I was like, shit,
- 25:55Speaker 2: that guy really could be a superhero.
- 25:57Speaker 7: The white one.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Or the black one? The black one was in shape.
- 26:00Speaker 2: I got his picture and I.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Was like, dude, man, you nailed it for the Green Lantern.
- 26:04Speaker 7: Did you get a picture of the guy in the
- 26:06Speaker 7: Old Spice outfit?
- 26:06Speaker 13: No.
- 26:07Speaker 8: What?
- 26:07Speaker 5: Yeah, we saw him with the towel and the.
- 26:10Speaker 7: Shirt around him.
- 26:11Speaker 15: He was carrying a bottle of water.
- 26:13Speaker 16: At first, I didn't see the bottle.
- 26:15Speaker 17: That's a really weird, like, look at him dressed as
- 26:18Speaker 17: the old Spice Guide to Comic-Con.
- 26:20Speaker 16: There were people who did commercials.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 26:23Speaker 16: Yeah, we got the Blade.
- 26:26Speaker 7: You ran off with somebody else.
- 26:27Speaker 5: Blade was awesome. Yeah, Blade was good.
- 26:29Speaker 9: He was even having, like, the attitude like Blade. I
- 26:31Speaker 9: was like, he was going to kill me. And he
- 26:33Speaker 9: was like, oh, I have to get back.
- 26:34Speaker 2: To work now.
- 26:34Speaker 7: I'm like, dude, what?
- 26:35Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 26:36Speaker 7: You're not working here. You're a fucking geek at a convention.
- 26:38Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 26:38Speaker 5: Wondering about.
- 26:40Speaker 2: There were some weird ones, though.
- 26:41Speaker 8: We are.
- 26:41Speaker 2: What about the Wilson? I was like, really? The Wilson
- 26:44Speaker 2: was pretty funny. Once again, one that would be more funny, like,
- 26:48Speaker 2: 12 years ago. From home improvement. That's what I was
- 26:50Speaker 2: going to say.
- 26:50Speaker 5: Yeah, he walked around the fence.
- 26:52Speaker 2: He had a fence. I didn't see that. And it
- 26:54Speaker 2: came up to his eye level, and he had the
- 26:55Speaker 2: hat on, and that was his costume. I was like,
- 26:59Speaker 2: once again, that's... It's not a Halloween parade.
- 27:02Speaker 17: It's a fucking comic show.
- 27:04Speaker 7: Con.
- 27:05Speaker 20: See, people are going more and more out on a
- 27:07Speaker 20: limb to be as obscure as possible because there's only
- 27:10Speaker 20: so many fat guys dressed as Superman and Batman.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, the rest of them get old.
- 27:15Speaker 5: There was a guy dressed as the old Batman, which
- 27:17Speaker 5: I kind of like. That's good.
- 27:19Speaker 22: I like the guy in the Superman shirt that had
- 27:21Speaker 22: the fake ribs built into it.
- 27:23Speaker 7: He's a fat guy and he had the fake.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Abs on it.
- 27:26Speaker 5: That's awesome. I like the Vince Cuoto from Ghostbusters.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Yeah!
- 27:30Speaker 12: And he had like the the weird the salamander man
- 27:34Speaker 12: like electrodes where you know they kind of hooked up
- 27:36Speaker 12: the machine in the movie I was like oh nice
- 27:38Speaker 12: that's awesome.
- 27:39Speaker 2: What about the stack of money with the eyes on
- 27:42Speaker 2: yeah what commercial is that Geico that thing.
- 27:44Speaker 16: Creeps me out I'm really glad I didn't see it
- 27:47Speaker 16: was that trying.
- 27:48Speaker 22: To walk around yeah she could not it was crowded
- 27:50Speaker 22: as hell she was like I'm gonna walk.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Sideways she's walking sideways and a whole lot of sorry sorry.
- 27:55Speaker 18: Really should have rethought that dumb girl yeah fail I.
- 28:00Speaker 9: Would have just bought a booth that wasn't being used.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Hi, look at my cool costume.
- 28:06Speaker 16: I could bring me food.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I don't know. That was almost the downside. There were
- 28:11Speaker 2: almost too many people to deal with.
- 28:14Speaker 5: There was a lot.
- 28:15Speaker 7: I don't deal with that many people.
- 28:17Speaker 9: It's not the comic book guy in this instance.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I was going to say, that was everybody there.
- 28:23Speaker 9: He had the blue shirt on and the hair. I
- 28:26Speaker 9: think it was supposed to be the comic book guy.
- 28:29Speaker 2: It's a tough call at that convention.
- 28:31Speaker 7: I heard him talk.
- 28:32Speaker 20: It was one of those things where there were a
- 28:35Speaker 20: lot of people but nobody was rude.
- 28:37Speaker 2: That's true.
- 28:38Speaker 5: Nobody was rude to me at all.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Me, I was.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that's a given.
- 28:42Speaker 20: But I mean, as far as going to places and
- 28:43Speaker 20: people bumping into you, if you go there, you know
- 28:46Speaker 20: somebody's going to bump into you.
- 28:47Speaker 12: You know you're going to run into somebody.
- 28:50Speaker 5: I got called silly goose. Whoa, rough language.
- 28:52Speaker 8: Hold on.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Like an 80-year-old man?
- 28:54Speaker 16: No, he was about 35.
- 28:55Speaker 5: Was he pushing a stroller or something?
- 28:56Speaker 16: No, he had like a little cart with like a cooler.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 29:00Speaker 2: So he was really a dork.
- 29:02Speaker 16: He was like, silly goose.
- 29:04Speaker 5: And I was like, you're like, excuse me.
- 29:05Speaker 7: Right, I'm sorry. I just want a picture.
- 29:08Speaker 16: Of Linda Blair.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 29:11Speaker 5: Which I thought was funny.
- 29:12Speaker 20: A lot of people were trying to sneak pictures of
- 29:14Speaker 20: Linda Blair and I kept seeing her throw out the
- 29:17Speaker 20: hand like this.
- 29:19Speaker 2: She's kind of got weird things going on now. I
- 29:22Speaker 2: know when she was at Horror Hound last year, she
- 29:23Speaker 2: had like all these stipulations on what people could do
- 29:27Speaker 2: and how they could take pictures if she even let
- 29:28Speaker 2: them take pictures that day.
- 29:30Speaker 7: And She wasn't as friendly as John Schneider, who cuddled
- 29:33Speaker 7: me to his bosom.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Yeah, you're lucky she's here, Jay, because I was afraid
- 29:37Speaker 2: for a second there she was going to take off
- 29:38Speaker 2: with John Schneider.
- 29:40Speaker 16: He was so nice and friendly.
- 29:42Speaker 2: He was really nice, I'll give you that. He was awesome.
- 29:44Speaker 7: And he has aged so remarkably well.
- 29:46Speaker 19: That's pretty hot.
- 29:46Speaker 2: I'll give you that one, too.
- 29:47Speaker 7: Tom Wolpat, frightening. Catherine Bach, frightening. I'm assuming Cooter's frightening.
- 29:52Speaker 2: No, not Cooter.
- 29:55Speaker 5: I think Roscoe kind of looks the same.
- 29:58Speaker 7: He never looked the same.
- 29:59Speaker 2: He was already older when he started.
- 30:00Speaker 7: Yeah, John Schneider is still so gorgeous. He's just so
- 30:04Speaker 7: nice and friendly. He seemed happy that I was excited
- 30:08Speaker 7: to see him.
- 30:09Speaker 2: He was ridiculously friendly.
- 30:10Speaker 16: We saw him and the guys at one of the.
- 30:13Speaker 9: I think it was one of the Sony booths. They
- 30:15Speaker 9: were singing the theme song to Deuce Patty. They were
- 30:20Speaker 9: doing the.
- 30:22Speaker 8: They were.
- 30:22Speaker 9: Beatboxing in the background, and he was singing. I was like, aw,
- 30:25Speaker 9: that's fun.
- 30:26Speaker 5: My mom would like this.
- 30:27Speaker 2: He was kind of personable. He was actually standing there
- 30:31Speaker 2: talking to people and was being a good sport about it,
- 30:33Speaker 2: even with the annoying people with the camera in front
- 30:35Speaker 2: of us. I didn't even annoy him with my technical geekery,
- 30:40Speaker 2: but he seemed like he was okay with it. He
- 30:42Speaker 2: was playing along with everybody, so he seems pretty awesome.
- 30:45Speaker 7: Maybe he's just happy people still remember and care about
- 30:47Speaker 7: who he is.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Yeah, but some of them are still pissy.
- 30:50Speaker 9: I spend 95% of my time sitting by my house
- 30:52Speaker 9: with my pit bull thinking about death.
- 30:54Speaker 5: So this is awesome.
- 30:55Speaker 7: He just seems generally happy with life.
- 30:59Speaker 20: Well, I mean, it's like some people you meet, some
- 31:01Speaker 20: stars are just like, alright, I can do this for
- 31:03Speaker 20: an hour, but I've got other things to do.
- 31:05Speaker 5: You know, fuck all you fan people.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Shatner.
- 31:08Speaker 22: Shatner wouldn't even make eye contact. He wouldn't like sign
- 31:11Speaker 22: your name. He wouldn't personalize autographs, which pissed me off.
- 31:13Speaker 22: I'm like, dude, I paid 75 fucking dollars.
- 31:15Speaker 7: You could at least write to Misty on it.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:18Speaker 16: At least look at me in the eye, Shatner.
- 31:20Speaker 5: I was amazed at how fast the line was moving.
- 31:23Speaker 7: I was like, good God.
- 31:24Speaker 5: He was cranking them out.
- 31:25Speaker 1: It was like.
- 31:26Speaker 18: There was no need to even, like.
- 31:30Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like, why is he even here? Yeah, you
- 31:32Speaker 5: didn't have to be there. He's not going to say hi.
- 31:35Speaker 5: He can't personalize.
- 31:37Speaker 20: It's like, look, they've got a Shatner machine that signs
- 31:39Speaker 20: his autograph.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Basically.
- 31:41Speaker 16: Maybe he really is a robot.
- 31:42Speaker 20: I got his picture, which you're not supposed to take
- 31:45Speaker 20: pictures of him. And they were yelling at people with cameras.
- 31:50Speaker 5: We were in the line. I was right next to them.
- 31:51Speaker 7: I should have used my press phrase.
- 31:52Speaker 5: I'm kind of like, press. I got a couple good pictures.
- 31:57Speaker 5: I got one good picture out of the four or
- 31:59Speaker 5: five pictures.
- 31:59Speaker 2: That I took. Covert activity.
- 32:02Speaker 5: Covert activity.
- 32:03Speaker 7: They're going to track you down.
- 32:05Speaker 5: He was only there for a little while. I mean,
- 32:06Speaker 5: he ended up leaving. Wasn't he supposed to be here
- 32:08Speaker 5: most of the weekend?
- 32:08Speaker 22: First he was supposed to be here all weekend. Then
- 32:10Speaker 22: it was Saturday only. And then it was like half
- 32:12Speaker 22: of Saturday.
- 32:13Speaker 5: It wasn't even half of Saturday. He was gone by,
- 32:15Speaker 5: I think, three. Well, yeah, that is happening.
- 32:18Speaker 2: They're pretty laxed on the rules at Comic-Con. Because if
- 32:21Speaker 2: you remember, Uhura last year did the same thing. She
- 32:24Speaker 2: wasn't at her table half the day. She just kind
- 32:26Speaker 2: of wandered around and did what she wanted.
- 32:27Speaker 22: They probably had to readjust his because he had to
- 32:30Speaker 22: do that photo op over at the other booth.
- 32:32Speaker 7: They probably had to make it longer. So I'm guessing
- 32:34Speaker 7: that's true. I'm not paying $ 95 to get a picture
- 32:37Speaker 7: with Shaggy.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Just for a photo.
- 32:39Speaker 7: Especially if he won't fucking personalize.
- 32:41Speaker 16: I'll just stalk him in his house and we're sales.
- 32:43Speaker 5: No, seriously. I know where he lives.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Yeah, he's got a ranch out there, doesn't he?
- 32:48Speaker 16: Yeah, and he has a house in Danville.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Fuck. Just go.
- 32:52Speaker 19: Why does he have a house in Danville?
- 32:54Speaker 22: Huh?
- 32:55Speaker 19: Why does he have a house in Danville?
- 32:56Speaker 2: He loves horses. He's got a ranch somewhere. So just
- 32:58Speaker 2: go hide in his stable. Pop out and be like, hi,
- 33:01Speaker 2: how's it going?
- 33:01Speaker 7: Let me put on a horse costume.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Oh, I'm your new horse.
- 33:05Speaker 8: Winnie.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Winnie.
- 33:07Speaker 17: No, stop.
- 33:09Speaker 7: Go.
- 33:10Speaker 2: There was one.
- 33:11Speaker 5: No, ride me, Shatner.
- 33:12Speaker 16: Ride me.
- 33:16Speaker 7: He would break people.
- 33:17Speaker 21: Yes.
- 33:17Speaker 7: He's gotten a lot bigger.
- 33:19Speaker 5: A lot bigger.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Well, while we're on that.
- 33:21Speaker 7: Your Shatner still looks good.
- 33:22Speaker 2: While we're on that, though, Walter is not bigger. He's
- 33:25Speaker 2: like the only member of the cast that's gotten smaller lately,
- 33:28Speaker 2: and that's kind of scary.
- 33:29Speaker 7: He's gone through a lot lately.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Walter, what's his last name? Colin.
- 33:32Speaker 7: Coney and his son just killed himself.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Did he i would not have recognized uh checkoff checkoff
- 33:39Speaker 2: looks so different now.
- 33:40Speaker 22: It's his son was boner from uh oh that's right
- 33:44Speaker 22: i forgot that was.
- 33:45Speaker 2: His dad from uh growing pains yeah oh really yeah
- 33:49Speaker 2: yeah i was never a big.
- 33:50Speaker 19: Growing pains fan i love that show it was.
- 33:54Speaker 22: It was just a little bit before me full house
- 33:56Speaker 22: was more me He's one of the main characters' best
- 33:59Speaker 22: friends or something.
- 34:01Speaker 7: But, yeah, that was Chekhov's son.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I forgot that was his son.
- 34:03Speaker 19: I didn't realize that.
- 34:04Speaker 2: He had a rough life. The more I heard about him,
- 34:06Speaker 2: I was like, that is kind of sad. Because, I mean,
- 34:08Speaker 2: some of it was due to having, you know, the
- 34:10Speaker 2: I was on a show and now I have no
- 34:12Speaker 2: career because he didn't get a whole lot of roles
- 34:14Speaker 2: after that. And then some of it was I think
- 34:16Speaker 2: he had mental problems. He really had chemical problems that
- 34:20Speaker 2: they were trying to deal with and it didn't work
- 34:23Speaker 2: so well.
- 34:23Speaker 19: Are you talking about Boner or Chekhov?
- 34:24Speaker 10: Boner.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Boner.
- 34:26Speaker 8: Okay.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Who has an actual name.
- 34:27Speaker 19: I don't give a shit.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Well, no, I'm saying it's sad. I think that's part
- 34:32Speaker 2: of why he was so depressed. He spent the rest
- 34:34Speaker 2: of his career being Boner. I mean, that's going to
- 34:36Speaker 2: bring you down. We had a friend we.
- 34:38Speaker 5: Called Boner all the time. The bone, the bonester. I
- 34:42Speaker 5: didn't say that.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I would hope that wasn't he.
- 34:44Speaker 5: No, no, that's the other guy that I used to
- 34:46Speaker 5: hang out with.
- 34:48Speaker 20: Loved and adored Pauly Shore and wanted to be Pauly
- 34:50Speaker 20: Shore so bad.
- 34:51Speaker 5: Yikes. That he had everybody call.
- 34:54Speaker 20: Him the Weezo and actually even had it on the
- 34:57Speaker 20: back of his truck.
- 34:58Speaker 5: Ugh.
- 34:59Speaker 19: Pauly Shore, not funny.
- 35:03Speaker 5: Well, he was funny at the time. This was when
- 35:05Speaker 5: Encino made it.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Again, to me it was more the attitude. Because if
- 35:10Speaker 2: you go on, I think somewhere along the way he
- 35:12Speaker 2: had little bits of decent comedy. I think it was
- 35:14Speaker 2: the bullshit attitude that he made up so that people
- 35:17Speaker 2: remembered who he was. And that was true with all
- 35:19Speaker 2: the comics at that time. Everybody had a ridiculous little
- 35:21Speaker 2: persona that they had to do on stage. And you realize, oh,
- 35:25Speaker 2: that's not really how they operate. They're just trying to
- 35:27Speaker 2: get you to remember who they were. I mean, that's
- 35:29Speaker 2: what Bobcat had to go through for years. That's not him.
- 35:32Speaker 2: That's a stupid character he made up. And now people still,
- 35:35Speaker 2: when he's on stage, are just, do the voice, man.
- 35:38Speaker 2: And he was like, fuck that, man. It's a shame,
- 35:41Speaker 2: that's why I got famous, but now I can't escape
- 35:43Speaker 2: from it.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Well, it's not like Pee Wee Herman. Pee Wee Herman's
- 35:46Speaker 5: going to rock that shit until he's dead. He's not
- 35:48Speaker 5: always going to be Pee Wee Herman.
- 35:49Speaker 2: It's still a separate character. But again, he couldn't go
- 35:52Speaker 2: out as himself and not have people like, do Pee Wee,
- 35:55Speaker 2: do the dance.
- 35:56Speaker 5: He had a game show. Paul Ribbon had a game
- 35:58Speaker 5: show at one point. Nobody watched it. I watched it.
- 36:01Speaker 19: I'd watch it.
- 36:02Speaker 5: I thought it was pretty cool. It was funny as shit.
- 36:04Speaker 16: I'd watch it if Jobby was there.
- 36:06Speaker 2: It's just the curse.
- 36:09Speaker 19: I love Pee Wee on Facebook. I don't know if
- 36:11Speaker 19: it's him that updates it.
- 36:12Speaker 2: I can't decide. It seems like it is.
- 36:14Speaker 19: I mean, what else the fuck is he going to
- 36:16Speaker 19: be doing? No, it is, actually. No, actually it is
- 36:19Speaker 19: because all those pictures from Sturgis, that was him.
- 36:22Speaker 8: So it is him.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Well, I knew it was licensed through him somehow because
- 36:25Speaker 2: it's actually advertising his new show on Broadway and all
- 36:28Speaker 2: that stuff.
- 36:29Speaker 19: I'm excited about that.
- 36:30Speaker 2: I just didn't know if he was doing it or
- 36:31Speaker 2: some intern was doing it.
- 36:32Speaker 5: Probably an intern.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Probably an intern.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Maybe, but still.
- 36:35Speaker 7: Are we done with the convention talk?
- 36:36Speaker 2: I don't know. Did we think of any other things
- 36:39Speaker 2: we need to make fun of?
- 36:40Speaker 19: I left, so.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Yeah, too bad.
- 36:43Speaker 5: I felt really bad for this one track he had
- 36:45Speaker 5: showed up.
- 36:47Speaker 20: Apparently, I guess he thought that Shatner was going to
- 36:49Speaker 20: be there all day long, but I was wandering around
- 36:52Speaker 20: taking pictures, and he was kind of standing there at
- 36:54Speaker 20: the booth where Shatner was, the line completely empty, the
- 36:57Speaker 20: booth empty. just kind of like looking around like, what
- 37:00Speaker 20: the fuck? And this guy was like, yeah, Shatner already left.
- 37:04Speaker 5: And he was just like, what the fuck?
- 37:07Speaker 20: So I was just like, dude, man. He was like, yeah,
- 37:11Speaker 20: he signed autographs for a couple hours and then split.
- 37:13Speaker 19: And he was just like, William Shatner crushed his dreams.
- 37:15Speaker 7: Did he cry a little tricky tears?
- 37:18Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 37:18Speaker 20: He was dressed in character, though. But I was just like, dude,
- 37:21Speaker 20: you just got to show up, man. Because as soon
- 37:23Speaker 20: as we got there, Misty's like, what should we do first?
- 37:26Speaker 20: And I was like, get in line for Shatner's autographed
- 37:28Speaker 20: Because you don't know how long he's going to be here.
- 37:30Speaker 16: Yep.
- 37:31Speaker 20: Get the shit done that you want first because a
- 37:34Speaker 20: lot of times these guys are so flighty and they're
- 37:37Speaker 20: just like, you know, you know what?
- 37:38Speaker 5: Fuck this shit.
- 37:39Speaker 10: I'm hungry.
- 37:40Speaker 5: I want a chili dog.
- 37:40Speaker 9: And they leave.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Especially people like that. If you get to that name level,
- 37:44Speaker 2: you think you're a big celebrity there and you are there.
- 37:47Speaker 17: Commercials to shoot.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:48Speaker 2: But I mean, if you get the other, that's the thing.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I kind of like that second tier where, you know,
- 37:52Speaker 2: where they actually stay there all day, do their job,
- 37:55Speaker 2: like are appreciative of people.
- 37:57Speaker 16: John Schneider.
- 37:58Speaker 2: John schneider or like i mean i was the only
- 38:01Speaker 2: one i was supposed to talk to i did want
- 38:03Speaker 2: to find and talk to was richard anderson and he's
- 38:06Speaker 2: like again the only reason people there knew who he
- 38:08Speaker 2: was is he spent most of you know the last
- 38:10Speaker 2: part of his career on the bionic series he was
- 38:13Speaker 2: on six million dollar man he was on the bionic
- 38:15Speaker 2: woman's i mean that's why everybody was there like oh
- 38:18Speaker 2: all of his pictures were you know most of them
- 38:19Speaker 2: up there were that so that's all anybody cared about
- 38:21Speaker 2: there But I was, like, I had looked, you know,
- 38:24Speaker 2: through some of the other stuff. He was in some
- 38:25Speaker 2: amazing fucking movies back in the day. Like, he started
- 38:28Speaker 2: off in film and, like, is in some phenomenal stuff.
- 38:31Speaker 2: So he was another one that, like, I was glad
- 38:34Speaker 2: to get there. That was really the only one I
- 38:35Speaker 2: made a point to talk to because it was such
- 38:37Speaker 2: a mess. It was just so many people and so
- 38:40Speaker 2: loud that I gave up on the rest of it.
- 38:42Speaker 2: But I was glad I got to talk to him
- 38:43Speaker 2: because he's really nice and was, like, just appreciative of everybody. Like,
- 38:48Speaker 2: people were coming up and interrupting us midway in. But yeah,
- 38:51Speaker 2: it was kind of cool that he was like really
- 38:53Speaker 2: nice and talked to everybody and put up with them,
- 38:56Speaker 2: even when I think some of them.
- 38:57Speaker 5: Weren't all there.
- 38:58Speaker 2: There was a kid sitting there. He was just messed
- 39:01Speaker 2: up and he was sitting there like looking at all
- 39:03Speaker 2: his photos and taking forever. And he was nice the
- 39:06Speaker 2: whole time. And it was kind of cool. I think
- 39:08Speaker 2: he was a little overwhelmed. He was seeing people go
- 39:10Speaker 2: by in the weird outfits, and somebody went by in
- 39:13Speaker 2: a giant Mad Hatter hat. He just looked at him,
- 39:16Speaker 2: and he was like, hey, look at that. He was
- 39:19Speaker 2: just like, check that out. I couldn't decide if he
- 39:22Speaker 2: thought it was ridiculous, but then he was like, no, man,
- 39:24Speaker 2: hats are back. I was like, all right, I'm on
- 39:27Speaker 2: board with this guy. Hats are back. So, yeah, I
- 39:32Speaker 2: think it's celebrities like that. I am glad to see it, though,
- 39:35Speaker 2: and I kind of like meeting those. The ones that are,
- 39:38Speaker 2: at least on the convention scene, huge. They're not really
- 39:40Speaker 2: huge in the real world, usually, but... Then they've got
- 39:43Speaker 2: that weird attitude, and they're like, I don't have to
- 39:45Speaker 2: be here, or I don't need you people.
- 39:46Speaker 5: The worst thing is you get the ones that are
- 39:48Speaker 5: on the bottom tier.
- 39:49Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 39:50Speaker 5: Bottom of the bucket tier.
- 39:51Speaker 2: I kind of feel sad for them.
- 39:52Speaker 20: That won't let you take a picture of them because
- 39:54Speaker 20: they're too damn famous, like the fucking Iron Sheik.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:58Speaker 5: I still got a picture of you, you bastard. I heard,
- 40:01Speaker 5: what was it? Were you saying somebody yelled at? No.
- 40:05Speaker 12: We came up to Iron Sheik, and apparently there was
- 40:08Speaker 12: a guy who was just walking past that just clicked
- 40:10Speaker 12: a picture.
- 40:11Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 40:11Speaker 5: And I don't know if this was the Iron Sheik's manager.
- 40:14Speaker 19: Or some big black guy in a suit or something.
- 40:17Speaker 19: He was a dick.
- 40:17Speaker 8: He was like, move along.
- 40:18Speaker 5: He's a dickhole.
- 40:20Speaker 18: People are waiting for whoever it is, like the soup
- 40:22Speaker 18: Nazi across the thing.
- 40:24Speaker 8: Nobody gives a fuck about him.
- 40:25Speaker 5: He turns around on this guy and is like, Delete it.
- 40:28Speaker 5: He's like, yeah, you know, do you take a picture?
- 40:30Speaker 12: He's like, no pictures. He's like, delete it. Delete it now. Like,
- 40:33Speaker 12: wouldn't let the guy walk away. And the guy was
- 40:36Speaker 12: kind of smiling. I'm like, dude, I just left. I
- 40:38Speaker 12: just kept walking.
- 40:39Speaker 5: Fuck you. Don't put your hands on me.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Yeah, really.
- 40:43Speaker 12: There's no sign up around here that says no photos
- 40:47Speaker 12: of the freaking Iron Sheik.
- 40:48Speaker 5: That was over in the Atom West.
- 40:49Speaker 7: Yeah, that's true.
- 40:51Speaker 5: You know, exactly.
- 40:52Speaker 2: They were hardcore over there.
- 40:53Speaker 5: Yeah, they were hardcore. But, yeah, it's the Iron Sheik.
- 40:55Speaker 5: Nobody remembers who you are, dude. Like, I barely do.
- 40:58Speaker 5: I remember Hulk Hogan kicked your ass.
- 41:01Speaker 2: He always ended up kind of getting his ass. Yeah,
- 41:04Speaker 2: he was on the bad guy side, so eventually he
- 41:06Speaker 2: always had to get his ass kicked.
- 41:07Speaker 5: Yeah, I guess maybe he's upset about that.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Probably.
- 41:10Speaker 5: Whatever, still got your damn picture.
- 41:12Speaker 22: I like the one that Luke There's, like, people that
- 41:15Speaker 22: are famous and you get the one in the middle
- 41:16Speaker 22: that nobody likes.
- 41:17Speaker 7: Like, there was, like, the Spike, Glory, and Xander from Buffy.
- 41:20Speaker 5: Yeah, Glory.
- 41:21Speaker 22: Spike had a big old line. Xander had a big
- 41:23Speaker 22: old line. Glory was just in the middle by herself
- 41:25Speaker 22: because it's fucking Glory.
- 41:27Speaker 8: Nobody liked her.
- 41:27Speaker 2: I liked her on the show, but again, I wouldn't
- 41:29Speaker 2: know her if she walked past me.
- 41:31Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 41:31Speaker 7: James Marsters was there.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Where were you at?
- 41:33Speaker 7: I was standing right there for, like, 20 minutes.
- 41:36Speaker 1: What the fuck?
- 41:37Speaker 2: Fuck! We walked right behind him. I told Misty to
- 41:40Speaker 2: reach through the little sheet there and grab ahold of Spike.
- 41:43Speaker 20: We were less than a foot from him because we
- 41:45Speaker 20: were right behind the curtain.
- 41:47Speaker 16: Take your arm at this point.
- 41:48Speaker 5: I was going to try to take a picture of
- 41:50Speaker 5: it through the curtain.
- 41:51Speaker 19: Cut it and take it.
- 41:52Speaker 5: Just kind of like a little.
- 41:53Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Well, to continue our series of celebrities coming out of
- 41:59Speaker 2: the bathroom, I did see Xander coming out of the bathroom. Thankfully,
- 42:02Speaker 2: I wasn't in there. It was before I got to
- 42:04Speaker 2: the bathroom.
- 42:04Speaker 19: He was on Criminal Minds.
- 42:05Speaker 2: He was on Criminal Minds, yeah.
- 42:07Speaker 5: We saw him walk by when he was leaving.
- 42:09Speaker 7: Yeah, we saw him.
- 42:10Speaker 2: He seemed nice enough. I don't know. I was going
- 42:11Speaker 2: to go, say the beach.
- 42:12Speaker 16: Party, woo!
- 42:14Speaker 19: I did love that movie.
- 42:15Speaker 5: Loved that movie. Yeah, it's one of my favorite movies.
- 42:17Speaker 2: But yeah, that's most of our run-ins. That was about it,
- 42:20Speaker 2: I guess.
- 42:21Speaker 16: We met, well, I didn't meet technically, but I'm going
- 42:24Speaker 16: to tell everybody.
- 42:25Speaker 2: That I did.
- 42:27Speaker 16: I can't even fucking remember his name.
- 42:29Speaker 5: He played Sam Anderson on Battlestar Galactica.
- 42:32Speaker 9: Yeah, I played Sam Anderson on Galactica. And the guy
- 42:36Speaker 9: who played Saul and the one who played Ellen.
- 42:39Speaker 16: Such a huge fan, I can't remember the names.
- 42:41Speaker 9: Because I don't watch the beginning of Fast Forward.
- 42:44Speaker 19: That's a cheater.
- 42:45Speaker 23: Yeah.
- 42:47Speaker 9: But yeah, so that was cool. And I followed behind
- 42:49Speaker 9: him for about, 45 seconds.
- 42:50Speaker 7: I got to smell him. That was awesome.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay, now it's definitely creepy stalker territory now.
- 42:56Speaker 16: By the way, if you ever listen to this, you
- 42:57Speaker 16: smell delicious.
- 42:58Speaker 7: So does John Schneider.
- 43:03Speaker 19: I bet the Old Spice dude smelled good.
- 43:05Speaker 7: I bet he did, too.
- 43:06Speaker 16: He smells like Old Spice.
- 43:08Speaker 2: No, he was wearing Brut. Just to fuck with people.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Fruit Brut. By Fabergé.
- 43:15Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 43:17Speaker 16: Oh.
- 43:19Speaker 19: What time is the checkout?
- 43:24Speaker 7: Oh, sorry.
- 43:31Speaker 16: It's okay.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Yeah, don't interrupt the orgy, guys. We're all in the
- 43:36Speaker 2: bed and we're using electronic devices.
- 43:38Speaker 19: She sounded exactly like how maids are supposed to sound.
- 43:40Speaker 7: Yeah, kind of. Like Catalina?
- 43:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Oh, I wish.
- 43:45Speaker 19: Come.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Come, turn down my bed.
- 43:48Speaker 16: Anyway.
- 43:49Speaker 2: I don't know. What else did we have?
- 43:51Speaker 19: We went to Super Dogs.
- 43:53Speaker 21: Oh, yeah.
- 43:54Speaker 2: I guess we should work that in here.
- 43:56Speaker 7: I had a Super Burger.
- 43:57Speaker 2: I had a Super Cheesy.
- 43:58Speaker 5: I spilled a whole drink on myself.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Yeah, that's cool.
- 44:01Speaker 19: Someone angry.
- 44:04Speaker 7: There was a whole line of profanity.
- 44:08Speaker 16: Misty warned me when I.
- 44:10Speaker 7: Said, just hold on a second.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Stay out of the car. It's not safe now. I
- 44:15Speaker 2: think I'm glad I was still at the window at
- 44:17Speaker 2: that point.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Yeah, right?
- 44:19Speaker 22: There were so many curse words so close together.
- 44:22Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
- 44:23Speaker 19: I still feel gross.
- 44:26Speaker 18: I had to go to the gym for an hour
- 44:29Speaker 18: after I ate that super dog.
- 44:32Speaker 2: By that time, I'd had my headache kicking. I don't know.
- 44:35Speaker 2: I don't know if it was just surrounded by geeks
- 44:37Speaker 2: or what, but yeah, by the end of the show,
- 44:39Speaker 2: I was like, ugh, I just want to go to sleep.
- 44:41Speaker 20: It could have been the potpourri of body odor that
- 44:46Speaker 20: came off of some of these people, like For the
- 44:49Speaker 20: most part, you didn't smell the good-smelling people.
- 44:51Speaker 5: I mean, you kind of did, but I always.
- 44:53Speaker 20: Got stuck behind somebody that smelled like a rotted dog.
- 44:57Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 44:58Speaker 5: Just smelled like a dead carcass.
- 44:59Speaker 9: Some of them smell exactly what you'd imagine their mom's
- 45:03Speaker 9: basement smells like.
- 45:06Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 45:07Speaker 20: And the problem was that was more the smell than
- 45:10Speaker 20: anything else.
- 45:11Speaker 5: It was like it just permeated the room.
- 45:13Speaker 20: God, they're going to have to clean that convention center.
- 45:15Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 45:16Speaker 19: That's why I had to leave. I was just like.
- 45:18Speaker 2: I like your description yesterday, Eric. How it was the
- 45:22Speaker 2: smell of death.
- 45:24Speaker 5: Pretty much.
- 45:26Speaker 2: You had a whole theory and everything.
- 45:29Speaker 5: I wish I could remember it, but I can't. I
- 45:32Speaker 5: believe it involved the.
- 45:34Speaker 2: The dead skin getting trapped within the fat rolls?
- 45:37Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what it is. That's the smell.
- 45:39Speaker 20: It's like they sweat profusely and then it gets trapped
- 45:42Speaker 20: in the fat.
- 45:43Speaker 5: Rolls and then the skin rots.
- 45:44Speaker 16: No.
- 45:44Speaker 5: And it's putrid.
- 45:47Speaker 2: And that's why.
- 45:48Speaker 19: That's why I was there for like.
- 45:49Speaker 18: 20 minutes, and then I was like, fuck this shit.
- 45:55Speaker 17: That's how I feel.
- 45:56Speaker 18: The last convention I was at in Chicago, that's exactly
- 45:59Speaker 18: how I felt.
- 45:59Speaker 19: I'm like, fuck this.
- 46:01Speaker 2: No.
- 46:01Speaker 16: But I was.
- 46:03Speaker 20: Telling Brian, one of the first, the first place that,
- 46:05Speaker 20: it was either the first or second place that we.
- 46:08Speaker 5: It was the second place that we stopped. I went
- 46:09Speaker 5: in the restroom.
- 46:11Speaker 20: And I told Brian, I was like, that was the
- 46:13Speaker 20: smell that was in the restroom. I walked in there,
- 46:15Speaker 20: I was like, God, it smells like a rotting corpse
- 46:16Speaker 20: in here.
- 46:18Speaker 3: It does.
- 46:19Speaker 5: It smells like death.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Nice.
- 46:21Speaker 5: I was like, good God, if my nose was only
- 46:23Speaker 5: clogged up now.
- 46:24Speaker 4: Yeah, right.
- 46:25Speaker 5: Joey's like, I can taste how you smell.
- 46:29Speaker 2: That's gross. Yeah, like.
- 46:31Speaker 16: Because there was this one guy, and God bless his
- 46:33Speaker 16: little heart.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Big, massive.
- 46:36Speaker 16: Big, massive, overworked heart.
- 46:38Speaker 5: Overworked heart.
- 46:39Speaker 2: What?
- 46:40Speaker 7: Overworked hard.
- 46:42Speaker 5: Yeah. But he was.
- 46:44Speaker 9: He had this perfectly round face, kind of like a
- 46:46Speaker 9: garbage can.
- 46:49Speaker 7: And he had.
- 46:50Speaker 9: It's like his hair was combed over at some point,
- 46:53Speaker 9: but he had sweated and, like, wiped it so much,
- 46:56Speaker 9: it had, like, curled up into, like, this mass of springy, like,
- 47:01Speaker 9: twiggy wetness on top of his head.
- 47:04Speaker 16: He was sweating, and.
- 47:06Speaker 5: He looked glazed.
- 47:07Speaker 16: In my head, I was like, ugh.
- 47:11Speaker 5: I can taste how you smell.
- 47:13Speaker 16: I can taste how you smell.
- 47:14Speaker 18: If you were to say that to him, he would
- 47:16Speaker 18: have probably gotten a boner.
- 47:18Speaker 2: He probably would have been finished. Oh, that was awesome.
- 47:23Speaker 7: Oh, Jake!
- 47:25Speaker 2: Oh, you have to go write about this in my blog.
- 47:27Speaker 7: Today was my greatest day of my life.
- 47:30Speaker 2: I think we're dating now. I'm not sure. I'm going
- 47:36Speaker 2: to invite her over to meet Mom.
- 47:38Speaker 5: But then I didn't get her name or her number
- 47:40Speaker 5: or where she's from.
- 47:42Speaker 16: I followed her back to her hotel, but.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Oh, well, Misty had that great comb-over, too. You like
- 47:48Speaker 2: that guy.
- 47:48Speaker 7: Oh, that guy was fabulous.
- 47:50Speaker 22: He had, like, three strands of hair that he combed
- 47:53Speaker 22: over from this side to the other.
- 47:55Speaker 7: That's really convincing.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Yeah, sadly, his wasn't a costume. He was behind one
- 47:58Speaker 2: of the tables. He was just working.
- 48:00Speaker 20: I like those that go all the way around, like,
- 48:04Speaker 20: to the back.
- 48:06Speaker 2: Those are good.
- 48:07Speaker 19: I slept on my neck wrong.
- 48:10Speaker 15: Sorry.
- 48:12Speaker 9: Are we done now?
- 48:13Speaker 2: I don't know. That round out the geek activities, which
- 48:16Speaker 2: were quite extensive yesterday. Yeah.
- 48:18Speaker 5: All right.
- 48:21Speaker 2: We will take a break and be back with What's
- 48:22Speaker 2: the Mock?
- 48:25Speaker 14: Slaughter Hotel, the final address for eight young nurses.
- 48:47Speaker 4: Slaughter Hotel. The whole world read the headlines. Now, for
- 48:51Speaker 4: those who dare enter the deformed world behind the headlines,
- 48:55Speaker 4: a motion picture that freezes at every scream. That hangs
- 49:01Speaker 4: on every dying breath. Slaughter Hotel. A reserved deathbed. Eight
- 49:10Speaker 4: innocent nurses. They faced death a thousand times. Now, they
- 49:14Speaker 4: were facing a massacre as one by one the life
- 49:17Speaker 4: was slashed from under them.
- 49:18Speaker 8: Screams.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Hotel a reserved deathbed the living will never get used
- 49:26Speaker 4: to death but to die this way slaughter hotel in
- 49:35Speaker 4: color in violence in shock.
- 49:47Speaker 11: Hi, this is William Ragsdale from Fright Night, and you're
- 49:49Speaker 11: listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 49:53Speaker 6: All right, we're back with What's the Buzz?
- 50:09Speaker 1: Groovy.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Groovy.
- 50:15Speaker 24: All right so this one again i don't know that
- 50:27Speaker 24: all they want to talk about anymore is freaking spider-man
- 50:29Speaker 24: it's kind of overdone but i thought this fact.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Was sort of interesting because it's strained from the uh
- 50:34Speaker 2: tradition of spider-man for years now Columbia Pictures and director
- 50:37Speaker 2: Mark Webb are looking, this week, this weekend is kind
- 50:41Speaker 2: of their big meet-up with the actresses to take over
- 50:43Speaker 2: as the new romantic interest for Peter Parker. So the
- 50:47Speaker 2: identity of the character is not yet known, but who
- 50:50Speaker 2: it isn't is Mary Jane.
- 50:53Speaker 7: They are.
- 50:53Speaker 2: they're getting rid of i don't know if they're just
- 50:55Speaker 2: writing her out all together or if they're just postponing
- 50:57Speaker 2: it and planning ahead in several movies they're yeah they're
- 51:02Speaker 2: doing a reboot and it's going back to high school
- 51:04Speaker 2: so now i guess maybe this is pre mary jane
- 51:07Speaker 2: or i don't even know if they're gonna have mary
- 51:09Speaker 2: jane in there as a side character well no they're
- 51:12Speaker 2: just rebooting they're starting over Because the last one kind.
- 51:15Speaker 1: Of sucked, so.
- 51:16Speaker 5: I didn't even see the last one. Nobody did. The
- 51:18Speaker 5: two were so good, though.
- 51:20Speaker 8: I know.
- 51:20Speaker 2: The first two are pretty awesome.
- 51:21Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Well, they went through, like, what every damn superhero movie does.
- 51:25Speaker 1: They just.
- 51:26Speaker 2: They add too many characters. They overcomplicate things. There's too
- 51:29Speaker 2: many stupid special effects scenes that they don't need, so...
- 51:32Speaker 2: I mean, at least this one's Mark Webb. He's a
- 51:34Speaker 2: lot more key. Down key.
- 51:37Speaker 9: Webb.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Web.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Web.
- 51:38Speaker 10: I know.
- 51:38Speaker 8: Lord.
- 51:39Speaker 19: They probably just hired him for that because.
- 51:42Speaker 2: They're not Well, he did do 500 Days of Summer.
- 51:45Speaker 10: Oh, really?
- 51:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:46Speaker 2: Doing Spider-Man, so figure that out.
- 51:49Speaker 17: I do love 500 Days of Summer.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Do you want to tell them why you're far away?
- 51:52Speaker 16: I'm putting makeup on my face.
- 51:54Speaker 2: I'm just putting makeup on right now. So, she's a
- 51:58Speaker 2: little more removed, that's why. And she's stabbing herself in
- 52:02Speaker 2: the eye.
- 52:03Speaker 18: Misty told me that my mustache is.
- 52:06Speaker 10: I was like, I need to bleach my mustache.
- 52:08Speaker 17: Tom Sellecky. She said, no, it's more like a Mexican
- 52:11Speaker 17: guy in high school.
- 52:14Speaker 16: Oh, wow.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Oh, I don't even know what to do with that.
- 52:17Speaker 17: I just thought I'd share that.
- 52:19Speaker 2: Oh, Lord.
- 52:20Speaker 17: Wharton, back about my life.
- 52:22Speaker 7: And your mustache.
- 52:23Speaker 8: And my mustache.
- 52:24Speaker 7: And then we can all see your butt crack from here.
- 52:26Speaker 2: That's why I'm facing this direction. I'm trying to read.
- 52:28Speaker 17: I didn't think this was a TV show.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Oh, I thought that's what we were going to do
- 52:32Speaker 2: to bring people in, though.
- 52:33Speaker 5: That's just part of who you are.
- 52:35Speaker 2: That's true, actually.
- 52:38Speaker 20: You can't accept Marlena without knowing you're going to see
- 52:40Speaker 20: a little boob and a little bit.
- 52:42Speaker 2: Of butt crack.
- 52:44Speaker 5: That's true.
- 52:45Speaker 2: You can't fight it, really.
- 52:47Speaker 7: Boob, butt crack, and Marlena. Mustache.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Okay, you're kind of killing it, miss. It was an
- 52:57Speaker 2: enticing offer for many people until you got to that.
- 52:59Speaker 7: Some people might like the mustache.
- 53:01Speaker 14: You never know.
- 53:03Speaker 8: Oh, Lord.
- 53:04Speaker 17: I usually bleach it for the record, but I just forgot.
- 53:08Speaker 8: All right.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Oh, Lord.
- 53:10Speaker 2: So, yeah, they don't even know for sure. They're throwing
- 53:12Speaker 2: out a lot of different names as to who the
- 53:15Speaker 2: candidate could be, but they're naming people that were in
- 53:17Speaker 2: Spider-Man 3, so I'm like, well, they're not going to
- 53:19Speaker 2: reuse the same actresses if they're rebooting, so I don't know.
- 53:23Speaker 2: At this point, I'm not even going to put too
- 53:25Speaker 2: much into most of these people they're throwing out there,
- 53:27Speaker 2: although I do like Emojean Poots.
- 53:29Speaker 15: Poots?
- 53:30Speaker 1: Poots.
- 53:30Speaker 2: She was the girl in 28 Weeks Later. She's the
- 53:33Speaker 2: older of the two kids, but now she's much older,
- 53:36Speaker 2: and she's actually kind of cool. That, or, you know,
- 53:40Speaker 2: Emma Roberts. She's the next It Girl. She'll be in
- 53:43Speaker 2: everything in the next two years.
- 53:45Speaker 11: She is pretty cute.
- 53:48Speaker 2: All right, so on to more computer nerds. David Fincher's
- 53:52Speaker 2: Facebook drama, The Social Network, isn't even out yet, but
- 53:56Speaker 2: now they're working on Googled. Because there's the book of
- 54:00Speaker 2: the same name, Google The End of the World As
- 54:02Speaker 2: We Know It. It tells the story of the Stanford
- 54:05Speaker 2: PhD students that made their attempt to make a better
- 54:08Speaker 2: search engine using such business principles as you can make
- 54:11Speaker 2: money without doing evil. Bullshit.
- 54:14Speaker 19: This is the stupidest thing ever. Quit making fucking stupid movies.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Well, that's the thing. And this isn't like, this really
- 54:20Speaker 2: is a trend because they just released this past month,
- 54:24Speaker 2: they came out with Middleman. which has got Luke Wilson
- 54:27Speaker 2: and Giovanni Ribisi. Basically, that one was about the... The
- 54:30Speaker 2: first people who realized you could make money off the internet. Which, again,
- 54:34Speaker 2: is a very interesting story. It basically ends up becoming
- 54:37Speaker 2: selling porn on the internet. But I mean... But at
- 54:39Speaker 2: least it's got an interesting backstory.
- 54:41Speaker 6: It does.
- 54:42Speaker 7: Everybody can get on board for porn.
- 54:44Speaker 5: Nobody gives a fuck about search engines.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Not really.
- 54:46Speaker 7: Unless you're searching for porn.
- 54:48Speaker 2: Exactly. That's right. That's what I think is weird.
- 54:50Speaker 16: You can spin in people.
- 54:51Speaker 7: That's it.
- 54:52Speaker 2: There's one or two interesting stories in this kind of area.
- 54:56Speaker 2: But why we need an entire string of movies coming
- 55:00Speaker 2: out about... computer nerds in college realizing that they can
- 55:03Speaker 2: make tons of money or just stumbling upon i mean
- 55:06Speaker 2: a lot of these people you didn't even know and
- 55:08Speaker 2: usually they got screwed out of it i think that's
- 55:09Speaker 2: what they found out in the middle man is like
- 55:11Speaker 2: these two guys came up with it and then luke
- 55:13Speaker 2: wilson's the businessman that went oh good idea and stole
- 55:16Speaker 2: it from him more or less so that's usually what
- 55:18Speaker 2: happens with most of these it's nerds that come up
- 55:20Speaker 2: with the idea and then some corporate bastard goes oh
- 55:23Speaker 2: here's a lot of money i want to take what
- 55:24Speaker 2: you're doing and put it in with what i'm already
- 55:26Speaker 2: doing Maybe even more money. Yeah, so how many of
- 55:30Speaker 2: these do we need? Are we going to have the
- 55:31Speaker 2: Twitter story? Are we going to have a YouTube movie?
- 55:34Speaker 2: I mean, what? I don't know.
- 55:35Speaker 17: Who's watching this shit?
- 55:37Speaker 7: Who cares?
- 55:37Speaker 2: Well, again, I mean, Social Network actually does. I watched
- 55:40Speaker 2: the trailer. It looks like a fucking good movie because
- 55:42Speaker 2: it's got David Fincher behind it. But you're not going
- 55:44Speaker 2: to have David Fincher doing all of these. So a
- 55:46Speaker 2: lot of these are going to start to suck.
- 55:48Speaker 16: There's a MySpace movie.
- 55:51Speaker 2: It'll go straight to DVD. Straight to five years ago
- 55:56Speaker 2: when people would have cared. So, yeah, I just want
- 56:00Speaker 2: to know who they're going to cast in the Ain't
- 56:02Speaker 2: It Cool News movie. Who's going to be... Are they
- 56:06Speaker 2: going to get... What's his name from... My name is.
- 56:10Speaker 7: Ethan Supley?
- 56:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Ethan Supley. He played him in the... Fanboys? Yeah,
- 56:14Speaker 2: he played him in Fanboys. So, yeah, I guess he
- 56:16Speaker 2: can reprise his role and do the Ain't It Cool movie.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 56:20Speaker 2: I just think it's a ridiculous new string of movies
- 56:23Speaker 2: that keep coming out.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Sure enough.
- 56:26Speaker 2: This is actually getting away from some of the ridiculousness.
- 56:30Speaker 2: In the last few years, Hollywood has started developing a
- 56:32Speaker 2: plethora of movie projects based on board games.
- 56:35Speaker 3: Battleship.
- 56:36Speaker 18: Monopoly.
- 56:36Speaker 2: We've made fun of all these movies.
- 56:38Speaker 17: Connector.
- 56:40Speaker 2: But now, J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot. are just setting
- 56:45Speaker 2: their sights on a game that no big company would
- 56:47Speaker 2: bother to acquire to get the rights to. They'd probably
- 56:49Speaker 2: be afraid of it. He's working on Seven Minutes in Heaven. Huh? Yeah,
- 56:55Speaker 2: that's what I thought. I'm assuming we're all sort of
- 56:58Speaker 2: familiar with the go-in-a-closet-and-make-out game. That's basically how the game works.
- 57:02Speaker 2: I've never played that game. I don't think I want to,
- 57:05Speaker 2: and they probably would kick me out of most of
- 57:06Speaker 2: the slumber parties now if I showed up.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Anyway, so.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Technically, there already was a movie called Seven Men in Heaven,
- 57:13Speaker 2: and it was not bad. It was one of those
- 57:15Speaker 2: 80s sort of comedies about kids in school and romance
- 57:18Speaker 2: and whatnot. I don't remember hating it, but I haven't
- 57:21Speaker 2: seen it since, like, 86, so, you know, what are
- 57:23Speaker 2: you going to do? But, yeah, this one, once again,
- 57:26Speaker 2: leave it to J.J. Abrams to put his own special
- 57:29Speaker 2: spin on this one. I do like the plot synopsis here.
- 57:32Speaker 2: The premise of Seven Minutes in Heaven is that two
- 57:34Speaker 2: teenagers come back out of the closet and find that
- 57:36Speaker 2: all their friends are now dead. Hey, that sounds good.
- 57:38Speaker 1: I like that.
- 57:39Speaker 7: That's fucking awesome.
- 57:40Speaker 2: I was like, wow.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Why?
- 57:42Speaker 17: Jim Jones Kool-Aid?
- 57:43Speaker 2: Who cares? It's an awesome story already. It's like, it
- 57:49Speaker 2: goes from being a sappy romance movie to dead people everywhere.
- 57:52Speaker 7: There are teenagers everywhere.
- 57:54Speaker 2: That's even better. Even better. So yeah, I thought that
- 57:57Speaker 2: was actually, once again, J.J. Abrams, he's not really slacking
- 58:01Speaker 2: on his projects lately, so I'm kind of looking forward
- 58:03Speaker 2: to that one.
- 58:03Speaker 5: They could apply that to any game, actually. Like, you know,
- 58:07Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 58:08Speaker 2: Mystery Date.
- 58:10Speaker 23: Dead.
- 58:11Speaker 5: Or Sorry.
- 58:12Speaker 20: Even if you're playing the game, two of them get
- 58:15Speaker 20: up to go get refreshments in the kitchen, come back,
- 58:17Speaker 20: they're all dead, you know?
- 58:18Speaker 2: I want it to be whoever touches the Pop-O-Matic bubble.
- 58:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Don't touch the problematic bubble.
- 58:23Speaker 5: He puts a bubble and the whole house blows up.
- 58:25Speaker 7: Don't touch the bubble.
- 58:27Speaker 2: I know. It's addictive, isn't it?
- 58:28Speaker 16: You have to to play the game.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know everybody just sat there pushing it
- 58:33Speaker 2: anyway for like an hour before the game started.
- 58:35Speaker 20: Sometimes I'd get in the closet and take the box
- 58:37Speaker 20: lid off just to pop the bubble.
- 58:39Speaker 22: You heard closet bubble poppers?
- 58:42Speaker 2: Shh, don't tell anybody.
- 58:44Speaker 19: They're so weird.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Oh, this one I just thought some people here might care.
- 58:49Speaker 2: There's not even much story to it, but... While promoting
- 58:53Speaker 2: his last version of this movie, Michael Jha White revealed
- 58:56Speaker 2: that he's already working on ideas for Black Dynamite 2.
- 58:59Speaker 16: Awesome.
- 58:59Speaker 2: There you go, Jay. I knew you'd be up for
- 59:01Speaker 2: that one.
- 59:01Speaker 5: Dude, he's fucking cool.
- 59:03Speaker 2: There's not even any details on it, but his only
- 59:05Speaker 2: quote is, he said about the sequel, Well, you know
- 59:07Speaker 2: how Black Dynamite just grows in its ridiculousness? Well, this
- 59:11Speaker 2: will be a fitting sequel. It's damn ridiculous. It's good
- 59:14Speaker 2: to know.
- 59:15Speaker 7: Dude, that guy is fucking cut as hell.
- 59:17Speaker 8: Nice.
- 59:18Speaker 4: He is.
- 59:19Speaker 2: He's cut like Green Lantern, yeah.
- 59:20Speaker 5: Dude, that guy is like a fucking god.
- 59:22Speaker 1: He is.
- 59:23Speaker 5: I'm like, jeez, man. How much working out does he
- 59:25Speaker 5: have to do? Probably none. He's probably one of those
- 59:27Speaker 5: guys that's like, I don't work out. I just eat cheeseburgers. Bastards.
- 59:30Speaker 5: Damn you.
- 59:32Speaker 2: With donuts for buns.
- 59:33Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 59:35Speaker 1: All right.
- 59:36Speaker 2: Yeah, we will round it out with this one. With
- 59:38Speaker 2: Piranha 3D hitting theaters today... Director Alexander Aja, who we
- 59:42Speaker 2: keep bringing up. He was already talking about remaking Maniac
- 59:44Speaker 2: a few weeks ago. But once again, they come up
- 59:47Speaker 2: with new projects they want to do every week and
- 59:49Speaker 2: a half around here. This one, although, I'm on board for.
- 59:53Speaker 2: I don't even know of the original, but I like
- 59:56Speaker 2: it already. So he announced plans this week for a
- 59:58Speaker 2: new adaptation that will take him out of the horror
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: and remake field, which is pretty much all he's done.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: And he wants to do Cobra, the space pirate. Are
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: you familiar with this, Roger? I think he's asleep already.
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: Cobra the Space Pirate.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: Have you heard of Cobra the Space Pirate? Cobra the
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Space Pirate, no. It is a 1978 to 84 space
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: opera manga that was then developed into an anime series
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: and as a film in Japan, perhaps.
- 1:00:26Speaker 16: Huh.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: It said it was very popular in Europe, but not
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: so much in the U.S., so... Yeah, it's supposedly, let's see,
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Cobra is a futuristic space pirate who refuses to align
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: with the United Galaxies Federation or the Pirates Guild, resulting
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: in a bounty being placed on his head. Cobra teams
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: up with a beautiful bounty hunter named Jane as they
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: try to locate her sisters in a quest to find
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: lost treasure on Mars. This all sounds fucking awesome.
- 1:00:49Speaker 17: Kind of sounds like Cowboy Bebop a little bit.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Kind of. That's what I was thinking.
- 1:00:53Speaker 18: Which.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: I guess, I don't know, they don't plan on doing
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: a live-action version of that. No, they are, that's right. Keanu, fuck.
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: Yeah, Keanu's like behind the project.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Keanu's going to fuck it up, though.
- 1:01:03Speaker 17: But that's been like ten years.
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: I don't even know how that happened.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Yeah, so maybe that'll fall apart. Because I'd rather see
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: this the way it sounded. It sounds pretty awesome, too.
- 1:01:10Speaker 18: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: I just thought that sounded like a pretty awesome idea
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: for a movie. If they, again, do a good job
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: on it.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: Good luck with that.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: You never know. Aja, he makes good stuff. Piranha notwithstanding.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: I haven't seen it yet.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: I don't know how much.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Oh lord so yep that is pretty much it for
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: the buzz.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: They bribed jerry o'connell with cheeseburgers right.
- 1:01:35Speaker 16: Yeah we'll take your children away if you're not in.
- 1:01:38Speaker 20: This movie yeah they just offered him some of them
- 1:01:41Speaker 20: uh crispy cream cheeseburgers.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Fried that'll do it all right so i will attempt
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: to uh put to some of the Richard Anderson interview here.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: I don't know how much of it's going to sound good,
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: but we'll see what we can piece together. Once again,
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: he is pretty awesome. He definitely had... It's harder. You
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: missed some of the cool parts.
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: Is he saying Richard Anderson?
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: Richard Anderson.
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: I keep waiting for Richard Deenan.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: He's not MacGyver. I saw it at first.
- 1:02:08Speaker 16: I was like... He's cooler than MacGyver.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: No. No.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: No, he kind of is.
- 1:02:15Speaker 20: How many times have people thrown a rubber band and
- 1:02:18Speaker 20: a paper clip at him and he'd be like, write something!
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Richard Anderson? Hopefully never. He'll be like, that's not even
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: my show, fuck you. So yeah, I don't know. Once again,
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: you lose a little bit in the audio form because
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: he's such a cool old guy because he'd be in
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: the middle of a story and he'd kind of nudge
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: me at the appropriate point and be like, you know.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: He was doing all these little motions that I'm like,
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: this guy's a storyteller, let me tell you. So you
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: lose a lot of it to the audio and mostly
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: to the fucking noise going on. Screw you, Samsung, for
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: putting your table like one aisle over and busting out
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: the techno.
- 1:02:55Speaker 20: Blastin' techno DJ battle with boy boy techno boy.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: Oh, fuck you guys.
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: Good lord.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: So yeah, you're bringing down Richard and ain't cool. But
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: either way, here's some of what we got with Richard.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: I'm telling you, this is something. You don't have one
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: of those hats?
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: That's what I have.
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: You know that?
- 1:03:19Speaker 8: I'm talking to you.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:03:21Speaker 8: See?
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: I'm definitely on board for that, yeah. All right. We're
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: here with Richard Anderson. Just kind of wanted to do
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: an overview of some of your career. How did you
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: originally get involved in acting?
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: I was seven years old. I was going to the
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: movies with my brother in New York City. It's a
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: 96-feet theater. And I love the cowboy movies. And I
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: saw this one guy. He didn't say much. I mean,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I didn't talk much. But he moved in an awful
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: center way. And when he said something, when he said something,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: he was paying attention because he didn't say much. Big,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: tall guy about my height. And so I decided I
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: was going to try my hand at acting. In California,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: I kissed the ground. Grabbed the oranges off the trees.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: You know, they're all oranges coming into LA. And I
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: finally met the guy. In Mexico City. We were at
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: a film festival, and a fellow that was kind of
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: running had called me up where I was told, and
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: he said.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Well, the guy's here. You were my first person that
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: I worked.
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: With when I went in.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: My name is John Galanski, and you were very kind.
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: And you were very kind to me, and I thank you. Yeah,
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: it was.
- 1:04:54Speaker 23: I said to you that day, I said, I was
- 1:04:56Speaker 23: a contract player at Universal.
- 1:04:58Speaker 20: I had come out from New York, and I said,
- 1:05:00Speaker 20: this is my first public show.
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: And you said, don't worry, this is the last.
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: Have a good time.
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: Just remember, nobody knows anything. You'll be fine.
- 1:05:12Speaker 23: And I was still saying the same thing.
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: That town didn't know anything.
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: So you were very, very sweet. You were very sweet.
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: There you go. Did you get it?
- 1:05:33Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: So, a fella calls me up, who I know, and
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: he says, the guy you really admire is up there.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Go over to the place.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: Come over.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Mexico City. So, I went up there, and there he was,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: this guy. Short coat, all handwear. made clothes, talking on
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: the phone. He said, exactly like I saw him in
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: the movie. Next thing I know, I'm sitting next to
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: him right at dinner, talking movies. So I said to him,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: what do you think about movies, working on movies? He says, well,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: I can tell when I do the first scene of
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: the movie with the lady whether the movie is going
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: to be any good at all. And he mumbled something
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: like chemistry. And I said, anything else along that line? Well,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: my agent calls in offering me a script, and I say, well.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: He says, well, never mind. And he calls again, and
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: he says, you got a script? He says, yeah. I said, okay,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: I'll do it. I said, what's that about? He says,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I told my agent when I came out here, I'll
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: never do a picture if I don't get the lady
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: at the end. Finally, I said, I got a question
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: for you. What about? I said, acting. I so admire
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: the way you act. You do less. You got anything
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: to say about.
- 1:07:19Speaker 10: It?
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Well, Dick, I don't know too much about that, but
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Don't ever get caught doing it. His name is Gary Cooper.
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: Nice.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Very nice. That's how I got started. I worked my
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: way into live television and it was in 49 and
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: everybody was watching that damn thing. Hating it, the studios
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: and everything. So everybody's watching it. Especially Drake saw it
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: and turned to her husband and said, this guy, look
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: at him. I was doing comedy scenes and I came
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: back like, you know, American Idol, you know. So, best
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: of luck. So, I mean, she mentioned it to Grant
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: and he looked and he said, geez, the guy's good
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: at comedy. And he was working on a picture in
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Mexico and he saw the head of the studio and said,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: get this guy over here. So, I saw him and
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Joey Sherry was the name and he says, well, let's
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: make some film of our own. So, I spent about
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: a week down in the casting area and found a
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Cowboy and the Lady Gary Cooper movie. And I got that,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: and we made the test, and a young cowboy comes in,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: this beautiful lady, and says, Hi.
- 1:08:30Speaker 16: She says, Hi.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: She says, Go ahead, Sam. I'll get into something more comfortable.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: So I went over to the stand, and I'm doing
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: this so you can't see it, but he hits something
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: with his nose, a powder puff. And then he looks
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: and he sees something else, and something else, you know, hair,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: picture hair. It's evidently something she has there. And then he,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: gets some ice there. So he picks up a glass
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: and he throws the ice up in the air, gets
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: it in the glass. I just did that all. It
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: wasn't in the script at all. And then she comes
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: in and she hasn't got much on. Sally Forrest was
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: her name. She was at the studio. In those days,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: that wasn't much. And then she says, well, come sit
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: by me by the by the couch. I said, excuse
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: me ma'am, I've got to go. They loved it. So
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: that's how I got started. 24 movies later.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: You've had a lengthy career in a lot of different projects.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: What's the biggest change over the years in working in
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: different projects? Have you noticed as time has gone by
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: how things have changed?
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: The president is trying to get the health bill passed.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: He missed the first time, and he needed a Democratic
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: senator to change his mind. I don't talk politics or religion,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: but this is a very, very interesting thing that I
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: heard about him. He got him in the office, and
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: he said, Senator, please talk to me about what your
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: problems are with the health bill. every major civilized country
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: has had for many, many years, and we've never had
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: one here. It's always been knocked down. So for 20 minutes,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: the senator claimed his position. Long pause. The president said, Senator,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: I want you to know, and he was listening to
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: everything he said, and the senator knew it. I want
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: you to know how difficult it is for people to change.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: He went back and changed his mind. He said, the
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: guy listened to me. I guess I'm trying to say
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: something here. When you work, things are going to change
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: all the time. I remember someone once said to me,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: I never forgot it, he said, very much the same thing.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Be flexible. That's what he said to me. Be, you know,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: be ready to, you know, if you're wrong, you know,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: accept the being wrong. He didn't say all that, but
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: I'm trying to say that. Don't try to keep saying, well,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: I told you so. And don't try to keep saying, well,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: look how good I was, what I did. No! Stay
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: away from that.
- 1:11:39Speaker 21: You know?
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: And I'll never forget it. I never forgot it. And
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: the real top people I've met in the business, the real,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: really top people, I happen to be a Lincoln student,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: Roosevelt student. I lived under some of the things he
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: did to save my life and to save my family's life.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: They were all very wealthy and lost everything. That's the worst.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: I wonder if you've never had it. But if you've
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: had it, it's awful tough. And I grew up that way.
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: And I guess, you know, again, most people probably know
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: you from TV and specifically from Six Million Dollar Man
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: and Bionic Woman. So you had something to tell people
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: on that one?
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Well, something very interesting. The Six Million Dollar Man, when
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: it's finished its run in 1978, it has never run
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: on television in the United States since because of a
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: court challenge. Now, I've been trying for a long time to.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Get something going so we did the three two hour
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: movies that I produced over there I saw all that
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: through and I've been waiting feverishly to find out when
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: that court battle ended and it ended this is what
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I'm saying to you all it ended Universal Studios spending
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: a million dollars to update the six million dollar man's
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: five years and the bionic woman's five years with the
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: new technology it's all Blue, green, whatever, blue screen, whatever
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: you call it.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: And we've been doing interviews, Lee and Lindsay and myself,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: and of course directors and writers and everybody survived, to
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: put in front of it. So, the DVDs, Monoclonal will
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: be out October 15th for sale. We'll have comments in
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: the beginning about it all. The $ 6 million man will
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: come out probably a month later. They are very, very
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: excited about the fact that that people have been coming
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: up to me throughout the years saying, I grew up
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: on the $ 6 million man. I was just a kid,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: you know, and so forth. But what's interesting here is
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: being a kid, they'll want to see that again, bring
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: back memories, and they've told their children about it. The
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: children will have an opportunity who are now grown up
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: to see it. and these children who maybe have children.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: We're talking three generations. It's very likely we'll want to
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: get a taste of it and see what it's like.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: And the results of it are that we might have
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: really a gigantic happening with all this. Lee has done
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: some promoting and Lindsay and myself. And in fact, we're
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: going to be in New York the first week in October.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: And Lindsay's I had some other things to do, but
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: I think she's coming now. First five days. Madison Square Garden.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: The convention is right next to Madison Square Garden. You
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: hear what I'm saying? And we are going to have
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: a convention here together with the fact that the shows
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: are going to be opening. And we'll have Lee Majors,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: who had never, never been at Dunder Convention before, call
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: me two weeks ago. And he says, hello... Oscar? I said,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: all right, Steve, what do you want? He says, I'm
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: a little bored here. I'm going on a picture. I can't...
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: You know, I haven't done a convention, but... I said, well,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: there's one starting in New York. His wife was on
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: the phone. She said, oh, yeah, that's been pushed up.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: And he said, do you have... So I told him
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: about Wizard, which I think is a classy outfit. And they...
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: And I called Gary Greenberg, who handles the talent, and
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: Lee calls me ten minutes later, I'm coming, I'll see
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: you in New York. Or he said, maybe we should,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: we'll go together. I said, no, you better bring your
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: wife to count the money. It's going to be transporting
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: to your hands. You're going to need a truck. Because
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: he's never done one. And of course.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: The Wizard has right away put it on their website
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: in big, big figures so that it's pretty well... Everybody
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: I talk to, they all know it. So that's big.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Lee will be there. Lindsay will be there. I'm sure
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: she's coming. She's going to make it. I'm going to
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: be there. And we are going to have four days
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: in New York. And I want everybody in New York
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: to know It's going to be a bionic week.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: That sounds pretty good. All right. Well, we will help
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: spread the word on it then. Thank you for talking
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: to us today.
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: It's good to meet you.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: Just to round it out. Shark to Bus Countdown.
- 1:16:39Speaker 8: Hell yeah.
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: Hells yeah.
- 1:16:47Speaker 13: I've got a picture called Sharktopus, which comes out September
- 1:16:52Speaker 13: 25th on the Sci-Fi Channel.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: As of right now, it is 34 days, 9 hours,
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: 19 minutes, and 6 seconds until the premiere of Sharktopus.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: Fucking A. Okay, kids, get out your decoder pens. Hey,
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: that's pretty exciting for everybody laying in bed right now.
- 1:17:16Speaker 21: Oh, my God.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: It's about as exciting as it gets, and it's sad,
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: I guess, because everybody's laying in bed right now. We
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: were trying to convince the people at the hotel that
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: it's not that kind of party, but I think that
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: maid had the wrong idea. Okay, so, it's time for
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: the rundown of the next two movies, which might.
- 1:17:34Speaker 19: We all are sitting in bed with you in front
- 1:17:35Speaker 19: of the laptops.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: I know. That's why we rented this room. Just like
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: every weekend, I come up here and make porn.
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: Set your pins to B2.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Here is the message.
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: So, yeah, next weekend... Actually, I think we're reversing them.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: We told you guys to go ahead and watch Night
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: of the Creeps. I'm sure most of you have seen
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: it anyway, so don't worry about it. We're going to
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: push it ahead a week. So, as of next week,
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: we're going to squeeze in one that originally, yeah, I'd
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: heard of a while ago, but Greg came to us
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: and was like, holy shit, you guys need to watch
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: this movie. So I'm trying to secure him on board
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: to come over and watch it with us. But we're
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: going to watch The Apple.
- 1:18:08Speaker 21: The Apple.
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: The Apple.
- 1:18:09Speaker 16: Hmm.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: He's innocent. Yeah, you're pretty excited about it. I think
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: you forgot or anything. That's the futuristic post-apocalyptic musical. I
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: don't know what the hell's going on in this movie,
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: but I need to see it, so... Yep, go ahead,
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: find it. And once again, it's on this channel, if
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: I remember. They've been playing it hit and miss. If not,
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: I don't think it's on DVD, so get to work
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: finding yourself a version of it. But it's pretty awesome.
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: Or may very well be. We'll have to see. The Apple.
- 1:18:39Speaker 19: The Apple.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: And after that, we will be back with the Affirmant
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: and Night of the Creeps episode, so... prepare yourself and
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: all your creepiness.
- 1:18:47Speaker 5: That's excellent.
- 1:18:48Speaker 16: Awesome.
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: That is it from the hotel room. If we decide
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: to piece together anything else between here and back home,
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: I guess we'll throw it in there.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: But otherwise.
- 1:19:14Speaker 23: Hi, this is famous Hollywood producer Robert Evans. You know,
- 1:19:18Speaker 23: I've made a lot of powerful enemies during my time
- 1:19:20Speaker 23: in Hollywood. Like the time I pushed Steve McQueen in
- 1:19:23Speaker 23: front of a moving car on the set of The
- 1:19:25Speaker 23: Getaway because he was macking on my lady, Allie McGraw.
- 1:19:29Speaker 23: But I've made one great friend, a boffo friend if
- 1:19:33Speaker 23: you will, since I retired. It's called Show Show, and
- 1:19:37Speaker 23: it's the best fucking movie podcast ever. It's even better
- 1:19:41Speaker 23: than cocaine, which I would know a lot about. Visit
- 1:19:46Speaker 23: Showshow at showshow.podomatic.com or search Showshow, all one word, in
- 1:19:51Speaker 23: the iTunes store.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: It's part of your problem, you know.
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: You haven't seen enough movies. All of life's riddles are
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: answered in the movies. And now, on with the show.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: Chicago, Chicago, that toddlin' town. Chicago, Chicago, I will show
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: you around.
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: So we are parked out on the street here in Chicago.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: Where did we go? I've lost track already. Bleeding Heart Bakery.
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: We went to the alley. Hollywood Mirror? We've been tooling around,
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: wandering the streets of Chicago. I got lost in a
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: hippie store. What was that?
- 1:20:45Speaker 8: I got lost in a hippie store.
- 1:20:47Speaker 9: I was drawn in by the smell of patchouli, and
- 1:20:50Speaker 9: I know good things follow when that happens.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: Oh, really? And did they?
- 1:20:55Speaker 9: No, I just got mesmerized by some African art for
- 1:20:57Speaker 9: a while.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: Well, that's all good.
- 1:20:59Speaker 8: It didn't have to be, like, a hippie.
- 1:21:00Speaker 16: Store at all.
- 1:21:01Speaker 8: It was, like, a multicultural store, I suppose.
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: A lot cooler than just hippies. Roger, you almost saw
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: a scuffle. How'd that go?
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: It was pretty excellent.
- 1:21:10Speaker 11: Apparently, there were some people protesting in the store. Apparently,
- 1:21:14Speaker 11: a supposed Nazi works at the store. And they had
- 1:21:17Speaker 11: really cool construction paper, black ink pen flyers made out saying,
- 1:21:22Speaker 11: no Nazi on it. Until somebody in the store came out,
- 1:21:25Speaker 11: and there was a scuffle, and they ran off. The
- 1:21:28Speaker 11: guy that was, I guess, heading this debacle of a protest,
- 1:21:35Speaker 11: he looked like a hippie, like dreadlocked. Yeah, completely out
- 1:21:39Speaker 11: of his element, I don't know. He was getting beat
- 1:21:41Speaker 11: down by this big dude that came out of the store, though.
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: The Nazi.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: The Nazi.
- 1:21:45Speaker 11: I don't know if he's a Nazi.
- 1:21:46Speaker 5: Who knows?
- 1:21:47Speaker 8: But it was excellent.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: Oh, nice. Down with Nazis. That's how it goes around here.
- 1:22:02Speaker 16: I saw the Wienermobile yesterday.
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: What was that?
- 1:22:05Speaker 9: The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
- 1:22:11Speaker 8: Where was this? Outside of the convention center.
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: Somehow I missed the Wiener mobile.
- 1:22:15Speaker 8: Yeah, it rolled by. I'm going to stop it. Wiener
- 1:22:20Speaker 8: on wheels. Wiener.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: I did see the Batmobile, and I saw the Back
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: to the Future DeLorean. Ah, yes, the DeLorean.
- 1:22:27Speaker 16: I almost got in trouble for taking a picture of
- 1:22:29Speaker 16: the DeLorean.
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: I took several pictures, but they forgot to yell at me.
- 1:22:33Speaker 7: Oh, I'm going to die.
- 1:22:35Speaker 16: Oh.
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: There's the L.
- 1:22:36Speaker 16: Yeah, the L.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: Heading over the L. It's very cinematic now.
- 1:22:47Speaker 16: Oh, I smell fried Irish food. Oh, delicious.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: Oh, God. Oh, delicious.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:22:56Speaker 8: Everything's sweet. It's just fuck. Yeah, really, right?
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: Once again, everything's better if it's fried.
- 1:23:01Speaker 8: Exactly.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: That's un-American.
- 1:23:06Speaker 8: If it's Irish fried food, you can't turn it down, really.
- 1:23:09Speaker 21: And I'm going to have to.
- 1:23:10Speaker 19: Go biking as soon as I get home.
- 1:23:13Speaker 9: It's like on the way home, just dream about biking,
- 1:23:18Speaker 9: and maybe it'll help.
- 1:23:19Speaker 10: Yeah, I feel like, and I know this is unjustified
- 1:23:21Speaker 10: because this is why I got so fat, but I
- 1:23:23Speaker 10: feel like thinking about exercising is so strenuous that that
- 1:23:28Speaker 10: should be enough. I agree.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: Why doesn't that work?
- 1:23:33Speaker 9: My main goal this weekend was to steal a moped
- 1:23:36Speaker 9: while I was here.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: That didn't work out at all?
- 1:23:40Speaker 9: No, I only saw one and it was ugly.
- 1:23:42Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, I didn't see any mopeds.
- 1:23:43Speaker 17: I know there's like a whole bunch of douchey mopeds.
- 1:23:46Speaker 9: Like scene kids?
- 1:23:47Speaker 16: Yeah, where are you scene kids?
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: Fuck.
- 1:23:49Speaker 16: I know they all live in Reno, too.
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: I'm getting a lot of rollerblades, actually. I've seen several
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: of those scooting on by.
- 1:23:55Speaker 8: I haven't seen that.
- 1:23:58Speaker 16: Ever. Like on the street.
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't get a lot of rollerblades in our neighborhood. No.
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: We would just shove them down and laugh at them. No,
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: I see skateboarders. I don't see rollerbladers.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: It's because the skateboard kids would beat them up. Because
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: they're uncool. See, one more reason. You don't want to
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: be that.
- 1:24:26Speaker 11: We're in the back of the van.
- 1:24:33Speaker 6: It is pretty awesome.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: Are you texting each other from inside the vehicle? Holy shit. Yeah,
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: but it's usually me. That's uncool. But I'm usually sitting
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: right beside you. And you're texting back and forth. That's sad. Otherwise,
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: I guess that about does it. We will return next week.
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks for listening. Thanks, guys.
- 1:25:07Speaker 16: Bye.
- 1:25:08Speaker 15: Bye.
- 1:25:10Speaker 17: I forgot you were still recording.
- 1:25:11Speaker 11: Goodbye.
- 1:25:12Speaker 8: Say it like you mean it.
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: God.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: Hey, you know what?
- 1:25:15Speaker 18: It's a really good place to eat.
- 1:25:40Speaker 21: Eyeballs float in wet green grass. I've got a chainsaw
- 1:25:47Speaker 21: motor that's filled with rain.
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: But when it.
- 1:25:50Speaker 21: Sinks, I bop my eyes, all bulging when the big
