- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Well, I want to take a moment here
- 0:02Speaker 1: to shout out my sponsor, Justin Time Baseball, because he's
- 0:06Speaker 1: looking for coaches. If you look at his instagram of
- 0:09Speaker 1: late Justin Time Baseball, he is looking to hire coaches.
- 0:13Speaker 1: And you're probably gonna see the testimonials of others that
- 0:16Speaker 1: are in the program. But I want to give a
- 0:19Speaker 1: little further backstory because last year, as you know, I
- 0:22Speaker 1: got to see Oswalda Cabrera at the camp and this
- 0:26Speaker 1: year Luke Weaver. In addition to seeing these athletes playing
- 0:30Speaker 1: with the kids and tutoring the kids, I also got
- 0:35Speaker 1: to talk to the coaches of Justin Time Baseball from
- 0:38Speaker 1: last year and a couple from this year is Luke
- 0:41Speaker 1: Weaver Camp, and I want to combine them all to say,
- 0:43Speaker 1: here's why you should join the Justin Time Baseball family.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I'm here with Scott and Jake Nathanson here justin Time Baseball. Now,
- 0:52Speaker 1: I have the coach for Justin right with.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Me, right now, and tell me about what it was
- 0:57Speaker 2: like coaching Justin.
- 0:58Speaker 3: But Justin was a great play at work with, worked
- 1:02Speaker 3: very very hard, it was always on time, dependable, more
- 1:06Speaker 3: mature than his years, and it was great It was
- 1:09Speaker 3: easy to coach him because he was right on anything
- 1:12Speaker 3: you asked him to do.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Could you tell as a player that he was going
- 1:15Speaker 2: to be doing something like this.
- 1:16Speaker 3: As a coach, you couldn't tell as a player because everybody,
- 1:20Speaker 3: I think you know wants to continue on as a player.
- 1:22Speaker 3: But he certainly had the knowledge and the interest to
- 1:26Speaker 3: do that.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Now, are you still a Westchester community? Do you coach? No?
- 1:28Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 1:29Speaker 3: I retired right after COVID. I started coaching when I
- 1:33Speaker 3: was twenty years old, and I've been a coach for
- 1:36Speaker 3: all of these years. I finished in twenty nineteen in the.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Empire Pro League, and I coached after.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I taught for thirty five years in New York City
- 1:46Speaker 3: and Yonkers. I coached for ten years of independent Minor
- 1:49Speaker 3: League baseball.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Which team I worked with Paul Blair ken Oberkfell when
- 1:56Speaker 2: the Northeast League was here in Westchester, Okay. I worked
- 2:00Speaker 2: for four years in the.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Empire Pro League bastes in Conquered New Hampshire in Old
- 2:08Speaker 3: Orchard Beach, Maine. And over the years I did winter
- 2:11Speaker 3: leagues in the Arizona Winter League and the Texas Summer League.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So I got the coach tell me about watching these
- 2:17Speaker 2: kids though play. I mean, do you feel that it
- 2:19Speaker 2: was coaching instincts still today?
- 2:21Speaker 3: I mean you got it right, yes, without a doubt.
- 2:24Speaker 3: The coaching instincts don't leave. And there are certain things
- 2:28Speaker 3: that I was lucky enough to learn having worked with
- 2:30Speaker 3: pro guys, that I could impart and the kids pick
- 2:35Speaker 3: it up real quick. They learned very quickly, and it's
- 2:38Speaker 3: wonderful to see.
- 2:39Speaker 2: And have you done camps before as well?
- 2:41Speaker 3: Oh, Chris, Yeah, I from the time I was young,
- 2:44Speaker 3: I did baseball camps and clinics. I worked at little
- 2:47Speaker 3: different baseball facilities around the areas where I lived, and
- 2:54Speaker 3: baseball's in my house three hundred and sixty five days
- 2:56Speaker 3: a year.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Love it. There you go, Thanks for joying much, Scott.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Thank you, it's my pleasure.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Nice to meet you.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Nice to meeting Thank you. I mean with Jake Nathans
- 3:04Speaker 2: and now the nephew to Scott. Jake, I know that
- 3:07Speaker 2: you and Justin got your master's degrees together. Were you
- 3:10Speaker 2: guys teammates as well? Tell me about the times.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Justin we actually played against each other in high school.
- 3:16Speaker 4: We were opponents, but you could always just from talking
- 3:19Speaker 4: to him, being around the game. You could always tell
- 3:21Speaker 4: Justin with someone who was a student of the game,
- 3:24Speaker 4: as my uncle said, someone who was way before his
- 3:27Speaker 4: time and knowledge way past the years.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Well, I came right up to you guys. You guys
- 3:31Speaker 2: are clearly baseball. You know lineage here, so tell me
- 3:33Speaker 2: about your experience though playing ball, and also have you
- 3:36Speaker 2: been doing camps as well and coaching like this in
- 3:38Speaker 2: the past.
- 3:39Speaker 4: I experienced a baseball I've been playing since I was
- 3:42Speaker 4: about three four years old, played two years of club
- 3:46Speaker 4: baseball University of Arizona, and then took ten years off.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Actually just returned to playing in an adult league eighteen
- 3:53Speaker 4: eighteen and up. Really enjoy playing and competing. In terms
- 3:58Speaker 4: of work, I'm a teacher on the.
- 4:00Speaker 2: High school level.
- 4:01Speaker 4: I also coach JV basketball right now, so it's based
- 4:06Speaker 4: baseball something I'm I'm working on getting back into, very
- 4:10Speaker 4: passionate about it. And what Justin has done here with
- 4:13Speaker 4: this program and developed developing these kids has really been
- 4:17Speaker 4: an excellent thing here.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I'm knowmaning this up to both of you. What's it
- 4:20Speaker 2: mean for Oswaldo to come and support Justin time baseball?
- 4:23Speaker 2: This is a huge day, isn't it good?
- 4:24Speaker 4: Jake, you first, Yeah, as Waldo's he's obviously a young
- 4:29Speaker 4: guy playing this game nineteen twenty twenty one years old.
- 4:32Speaker 4: I'm not sure exactly, but as Waldo's, guy who's passionate
- 4:37Speaker 4: about the game, comes out and he's although he's not
- 4:40Speaker 4: playing every single day right now, when he's on the field,
- 4:42Speaker 4: you could tell he's into it and he's uh, he's
- 4:45Speaker 4: really interactive.
- 4:46Speaker 2: With the kids.
- 4:47Speaker 4: He's good, he's good with the he's good with working
- 4:50Speaker 4: with people. Met him a couple of times before.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I saw him at woodbrig Brewing just a couple of
- 4:54Speaker 2: weeks ago, so you know, he's a very personable guy,
- 4:57Speaker 2: that's for sure.
- 4:58Speaker 3: It's great that he offers his time to come out
- 5:00Speaker 3: and help, and it's a great relationship for Justin to
- 5:04Speaker 3: have having worked with the playball.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Group Sharp major League Baseball is.
- 5:10Speaker 3: A wonderful step for Justin and to have us Wilde come,
- 5:16Speaker 3: it's outstanding.
- 5:17Speaker 2: For the support. Well, thank you both for joining me today.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Thank you. It's out pleasure.
- 5:21Speaker 5: Well, there you have it, Scott and Jake Nathanson, and
- 5:23Speaker 5: the conversations continued. I also caught up with Bill Guerrero,
- 5:28Speaker 5: Purchase College's former head coach and coach of Justin Sherman
- 5:34Speaker 5: as well, to get his tape on what this whole
- 5:36Speaker 5: week in the last couple of days has meant to
- 5:39Speaker 5: him and to Justin time baseball.
- 5:42Speaker 2: All right, I'm actually done with Justin's Purchase college coach now,
- 5:46Speaker 2: Bill Guerrero. Bill, first of all, what's the meaning to
- 5:49Speaker 2: be up here to support You're a former player?
- 5:51Speaker 6: Oh, it's you know Justin is you know not only
- 5:55Speaker 6: as coaches, you have a lot of those players I
- 5:58Speaker 6: you always want to stay in touch with and watch
- 6:01Speaker 6: them grow and develop even after their college career. And
- 6:05Speaker 6: Justin has a lot a lot of similarias that he's
- 6:08Speaker 6: taken into from his college career, very successful college career,
- 6:12Speaker 6: into growing this business. And so anytime I could support him,
- 6:16Speaker 6: I'll be there.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Sonny Purchase obviously a big name. Do you still coach there?
- 6:20Speaker 2: I do not.
- 6:20Speaker 6: I do not. I was blessed with a thirteen year
- 6:24Speaker 6: coaching career, a Sony Purchase, and I had a great
- 6:27Speaker 6: assistant coach, coach Adam Tarasca, who was able to take
- 6:31Speaker 6: over the program after I left and continuing the real,
- 6:34Speaker 6: real competitive ways.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I asked Scott Evans, and I'm gonna ask you this,
- 6:38Speaker 2: if justin you just mentioned a minute ago, so you
- 6:40Speaker 2: feel like he took his skills on the field and
- 6:42Speaker 2: put into coaching, right you could you see him as
- 6:44Speaker 2: a coach when he was playing.
- 6:47Speaker 6: Undred percent. I Mean the big thing about a coach
- 6:50Speaker 6: is you have to have certainly the work ethic, and
- 6:53Speaker 6: you have to have the demeanor and the passion, and
- 6:57Speaker 6: you put all those three all translate pretty well into
- 7:00Speaker 6: the business.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So when he told you we're gonna starting that baseball
- 7:02Speaker 2: you kind of knew this was going to be a
- 7:03Speaker 2: big thing, right.
- 7:04Speaker 6: Yeah, it's He's not anybody that does anything halfway. He
- 7:08Speaker 6: does it full and so I'm not surprised how successful
- 7:11Speaker 6: it is going.
- 7:12Speaker 2: And this is just the beginning. Now are you coaching
- 7:14Speaker 2: with him in this program? And what's your role with
- 7:15Speaker 2: him today?
- 7:16Speaker 6: I'm just a rout just walking around kind of seeing
- 7:19Speaker 6: the kids, saying a lord to the parents, but overall
- 7:21Speaker 6: just making sure that kids are safe and.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Having a fun time. Now, let me ask you this.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Have you ran camps like this before yourself?
- 7:28Speaker 6: Absolutely? You know we had to do this a lot
- 7:30Speaker 6: at Purchase College. You know, part of it was fundraising
- 7:33Speaker 6: to help support them players for our spring break trips,
- 7:36Speaker 6: but also you know, you do that throughout the summertime
- 7:40Speaker 6: to kind of really help your former players.
- 7:42Speaker 7: That was pretty cool to have Justin Sherman's West Sister community.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And soon you purchase coaches and.
- 7:49Speaker 7: I also caught up with the crew of just In
- 7:52Speaker 7: Time Baseball. Let's start out with Anthony Pascua.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I'm here with Anthony Pasqua of just In Time Baseball.
- 7:58Speaker 2: First of all, what's it like to be at this
- 7:59Speaker 2: camp every summer with Justin Time? And John? I know
- 8:02Speaker 2: you work here as well. It's awesome. This is actually
- 8:04Speaker 2: my first summer with Justin. I'm having a great time.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Justin's an awesome boss.
- 8:07Speaker 8: This is awesome.
- 8:08Speaker 2: A man, these kids are having a great time. They're
- 8:10Speaker 2: enjoying themselves. I don't think I see a single kid
- 8:11Speaker 2: with a frown on his face. Tell me about hang
- 8:13Speaker 2: on all with Justin Time and we're you a player
- 8:15Speaker 2: as well at one point, so I played high school baseball,
- 8:18Speaker 2: I play a little bit. I own to college right
- 8:20Speaker 2: now in a club balls. I got in such a
- 8:22Speaker 2: justin about three months ago. I saw a lot of
- 8:24Speaker 2: the stuff that was doing in my own town, and
- 8:26Speaker 2: I was having a lot of fun. It was a
- 8:29Speaker 2: great time. And as a baseball guy, right, what's you
- 8:32Speaker 2: mean to give back to the kids like this and
- 8:33Speaker 2: work with them as they're growing up in this It's
- 8:35Speaker 2: awesome man. I mean I've been coaching since I was
- 8:37Speaker 2: fourteen years old. I'm nineteen now in college, and it's
- 8:40Speaker 2: a great feeling to get back to these young kids
- 8:41Speaker 2: and see how much they enjoy the game.
- 8:43Speaker 7: I also caught up with John being Carty, another coach
- 8:46Speaker 7: at just In Time Baseball, about what it means to
- 8:48Speaker 7: work at that baseball camp and really work with the
- 8:51Speaker 7: kids on their skills weekend and week out.
- 8:54Speaker 2: All right, I'll be with John BANCRTI. You're a Justin
- 8:57Speaker 2: Time Baseball first of all? What's it like to be
- 8:59Speaker 2: more went justin in this whole program?
- 9:01Speaker 9: Oh, it's awesome man. I mean, like I said, I've
- 9:03Speaker 9: been with Justin since pretty much the beginning, since when
- 9:05Speaker 9: COVID was going on. And just to see the groups
- 9:08Speaker 9: of kids grow throughout the years and the smiles on
- 9:10Speaker 9: everybody's faces, you know, that's that's.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Really what it's all about. And tell me about I
- 9:15Speaker 2: don't know what's world out here? It makes it means
- 9:16Speaker 2: the world doesn't it.
- 9:17Speaker 9: Oh yeah, I mean these kids when when he walks
- 9:19Speaker 9: in the door, their.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Faces lit up.
- 9:20Speaker 9: So it was awesome seeing that he's he's getting involved
- 9:23Speaker 9: with the kids, hands on. He's not just standing around,
- 9:25Speaker 9: He's actually getting in there. And you know, I think
- 9:27Speaker 9: the kids really appreciate that and they're learning so much
- 9:29Speaker 9: from it.
- 9:29Speaker 2: And talk about you know you're and do you run
- 9:31Speaker 2: camps as well? Or so I run camps.
- 9:34Speaker 9: I'm a field director now, so I check in on
- 9:36Speaker 9: some of our younger coaches. But yeah, I mean I'll
- 9:39Speaker 9: jump in whenever I see fit, and you know, just
- 9:41Speaker 9: really just helping the kids out with just basic skills
- 9:43Speaker 9: all the way up from ages five to twelve, thirteen
- 9:46Speaker 9: years old.
- 9:46Speaker 2: We're back up here for another insulment a dozen Times Baseball,
- 9:49Speaker 2: this time with Louke Weaver and I'm here with Joon
- 9:52Speaker 2: Matia Captain's ar Jen. Thanks for joining me today on
- 9:55Speaker 2: the podcast. What'd you like to be up here with
- 9:56Speaker 2: the kids? I mean, they having so much fun already.
- 9:58Speaker 10: I mean, you know, everything we do is for kids,
- 10:00Speaker 10: So anytime we can get an event like this going
- 10:02Speaker 10: for them, it's something really special.
- 10:03Speaker 2: You know, they really look forward to it. But you know, secretly,
- 10:06Speaker 2: our coaches and our staff look for it.
- 10:08Speaker 10: Look forward to it just as much, you know, as
- 10:10Speaker 10: long as we can get the kids learning a little bit,
- 10:12Speaker 10: having fun, having a good time, and then ultimately they
- 10:15Speaker 10: get to meet which for some of the kids might
- 10:16Speaker 10: be an idol like Luke Weaver.
- 10:17Speaker 2: It's one of the best feelings in the world. All
- 10:19Speaker 2: I've been one of those, all days that I've been
- 10:20Speaker 2: here on days where not a celebrity comes in, Right,
- 10:23Speaker 2: what's the camp black? Are they working as hard as
- 10:25Speaker 2: one of the celebrities here? Yeah?
- 10:26Speaker 10: So, I mean our coaches, you know, we have a
- 10:28Speaker 10: certain standard which is grounded like an education.
- 10:31Speaker 9: It's not just coaching.
- 10:32Speaker 10: We can always have the same standards. We always keep
- 10:34Speaker 10: the same intensity. The kids feed off four coaches energy
- 10:37Speaker 10: and we get the same out of them, regardless if
- 10:39Speaker 10: an MLB player is showing.
- 10:41Speaker 8: Up or not.
- 10:41Speaker 2: There you go, and now you're a Yankee fan. I
- 10:43Speaker 2: imagine it Yankee fan. So this would be a big
- 10:44Speaker 2: day for Evybot.
- 10:45Speaker 10: My god, every time I get to meet a Yankee
- 10:46Speaker 10: app And Luke's been having I mean incredible, incredible the
- 10:50Speaker 10: other night, he killed it that last inning, the way
- 10:52Speaker 10: he closed it out. When you were growing up, I
- 10:54Speaker 10: played little league, I played Babe Ruth and Nurshell, and
- 10:56Speaker 10: then I played in Nursia High School.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Oh very cool. Yeah, no college, but no college.
- 11:00Speaker 11: Nope.
- 11:00Speaker 10: I decided to go the route to get to PHIZT
- 11:03Speaker 10: because I love sports so much. And then as soon
- 11:05Speaker 10: as I could, I got into coaching because I wanted
- 11:07Speaker 10: to give.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Back in a way that gave me so much.
- 11:09Speaker 6: Oh.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I love that line. All right, John, thanks so much,
- 11:11Speaker 2: all right, awesome, all right. Continuing coverage of the justin
- 11:14Speaker 2: Time Baseball camp featuring j Luke Weaver. I have another
- 11:17Speaker 2: Alex on my line, Alex Vale. What's going on?
- 11:19Speaker 8: Nothing much, just you know, enjoying. It's a little bit
- 11:22Speaker 8: hot in here, but the kids are loving it. You know,
- 11:24Speaker 8: we have about ninety kids. They're all entertained, and you know,
- 11:28Speaker 8: even with a little bit of heat, they're running around.
- 11:29Speaker 8: They're smiling, and that's all we really care about. Excited
- 11:32Speaker 8: to see Luke in a bit, a little bit and
- 11:34Speaker 8: for now, you.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Know, we're working on some ground balls I'm throwing. I'm
- 11:37Speaker 2: just saying, does the kids enery change when they know
- 11:39Speaker 2: celebrities coming to the show off a little bit more.
- 11:40Speaker 8: You know what's funny. I always say, you know, these
- 11:42Speaker 8: kids come, they come for the baseball, they stay for
- 11:44Speaker 8: the coaching. I think today they came for baseball and Luke.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Weaver there you go. But what a year hes have
- 11:50Speaker 2: by the way, right, I mean it was that it
- 11:51Speaker 2: Lukes at quite a year already.
- 11:53Speaker 8: Oh yeah, it's tremendous. I mean it's things that he's
- 11:54Speaker 8: coming off with loss right now.
- 11:56Speaker 2: But how long you've been with justin time. I've been
- 11:58Speaker 2: with him for five years now. And both of this
- 12:00Speaker 2: and then expansion of Major League Baseball must make you
- 12:02Speaker 2: proud being part. You know what's crazy.
- 12:04Speaker 8: So baseball, especially on the East Coast here is starting
- 12:07Speaker 8: to die a little bit, just you know, with lacrosse
- 12:09Speaker 8: and football and basketball and soccer and you know, so
- 12:12Speaker 8: many other sports that are coming along. So it's great
- 12:14Speaker 8: to see such a big turnout in the love for baseball.
- 12:17Speaker 2: It's still so alive. Absolutely. And did you play ball
- 12:19Speaker 2: when grown up?
- 12:20Speaker 8: I did so. I played all through high school. I
- 12:21Speaker 8: didn't play in college because I don't know, I just
- 12:24Speaker 8: didn't pursue it. But when I'm not coaching it and
- 12:26Speaker 8: I'm on hiring it, and when I'm not onpiring it.
- 12:28Speaker 8: I'm I'm also coaching my kids little leagues and Jemtason.
- 12:31Speaker 8: This is a way of giving back. Do you feel
- 12:32Speaker 8: that way too, one thousand percent? Yeah, obviously, you know
- 12:35Speaker 8: we make money here, but you know sometimes we do.
- 12:37Speaker 8: We stay over time, we get here early because we
- 12:40Speaker 8: just love the kids.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I know I can tell the gams are even before
- 12:43Speaker 2: Luke came in to get them repped up and start
- 12:44Speaker 2: up already. Yeah, for sure, good stuff, Alex, thanks so
- 12:47Speaker 2: much anytime.
- 12:48Speaker 12: Thank you.
- 12:49Speaker 2: We're back up here for another intulment a dozen times
- 12:51Speaker 2: baseball this time would look weaver and I'm here with
- 12:54Speaker 2: jo Matia Catain's arm.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Jen.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Thanks for joining me Todu on the podcast. Would you
- 12:58Speaker 2: like to be up here with the kids? I mean
- 12:59Speaker 2: not having so much fun already. I mean, you know,
- 13:01Speaker 2: everything we do is for the kids.
- 13:02Speaker 10: So anytime we can get an event like this going
- 13:04Speaker 10: for them, it's something really special.
- 13:06Speaker 2: You know, they really look forward to it.
- 13:07Speaker 10: But you know, secretly, our coaches and our staff look
- 13:10Speaker 10: for it, look forward to it just as much.
- 13:13Speaker 2: You know, as long as we can get the kids.
- 13:14Speaker 10: Learning a little bit, having fun, having a good time,
- 13:16Speaker 10: and then Ultimately they.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Get to meet, which for some of the kids might
- 13:19Speaker 2: be an idol. Like Luke Weaver. It's one of the
- 13:21Speaker 2: best feelings in the world. All I've been one of
- 13:22Speaker 2: those all days. I've been here on days where not
- 13:24Speaker 2: a celebrity comes in, Right, what's the camp like? Are
- 13:26Speaker 2: they working as hard as one of the celebrities here? Yeah?
- 13:28Speaker 10: So, I mean our coaches, you know, we have a
- 13:30Speaker 10: certain standard which is grounded.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Like an education. It's not just coaching. We can always
- 13:35Speaker 2: have the same standards. We always keep the same intensity.
- 13:37Speaker 10: The kids feet off four coaches energy, and we get
- 13:41Speaker 10: the same out of them, regardless if an MLB player
- 13:43Speaker 10: is showing.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Up or not.
- 13:44Speaker 2: There you go and now you're a Yankee fan. I
- 13:45Speaker 2: imagine a Yankee fan. So this mould be a big
- 13:47Speaker 2: day for everybode.
- 13:48Speaker 10: My god, every time I get to meet a Yankee
- 13:49Speaker 10: album and Luke's been having I mean incredible, incredible the
- 13:52Speaker 10: other night, he killed it that last.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Inning, the way he closed it out. When you were
- 13:56Speaker 2: growing up, I played Little League.
- 13:57Speaker 10: I played Babe Ruth and Nurshell, and then I played
- 13:59Speaker 10: in Nursha Oh very cool.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah, no college vote, no college, Nope.
- 14:03Speaker 10: I decided to go the route to get to phized
- 14:06Speaker 10: because I love sports so much. And then as soon
- 14:07Speaker 10: as I could, I got into coaching because I wanted
- 14:10Speaker 10: to give back.
- 14:10Speaker 2: In a way that gave me so much.
- 14:12Speaker 6: Oh.
- 14:12Speaker 2: I love that line. All right, John, thanks so much?
- 14:14Speaker 2: All right, awesome.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Justin Time Baseball is also endorsed by some pretty high
- 14:19Speaker 1: profile people within the Yankee REPBX community, including Frank Luna.
- 14:24Speaker 2: I'm here with the legend, Frank Luna. It's a good
- 14:27Speaker 2: day for a good day, day for a good day. Baby,
- 14:29Speaker 2: talk about what it is like to bring Luke here
- 14:31Speaker 2: and to be part of justin Time Baseball today.
- 14:33Speaker 11: I think justin Time Baseball bring in Luke Weaver, the
- 14:37Speaker 11: ferocious jungle cat to a camp with you know, almost
- 14:40Speaker 11: one hundred kids on a Saturday night during.
- 14:44Speaker 2: The Subway Series bro during the Subway Series E.
- 14:47Speaker 11: And it speaks to Luke's interest in the community and
- 14:49Speaker 11: wanting to get out in the field and talking to
- 14:51Speaker 11: the kids.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Just awesome and liken the smiles on these kids' faces.
- 14:55Speaker 2: All right. I wanted to say this while I have
- 14:57Speaker 2: you any thoughts on Oswaldough we all miss right now.
- 15:00Speaker 2: It's like a greeting process right now with loves Walder Cobera.
- 15:03Speaker 13: It is man.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I talked to him.
- 15:06Speaker 11: Yesterday, called me and uh typical as Waldough. You know,
- 15:12Speaker 11: I think he would even tell you it was really
- 15:14Speaker 11: upset off the jump.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I mean it was physically im gruesome, crusome, brutal.
- 15:19Speaker 11: And then uh, you know, is now understands what he's
- 15:23Speaker 11: looking at and it's time to get you know, it's gonna.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Work his way back. He's gonna be off his feet
- 15:28Speaker 2: for a little while, but he'll be back, all right.
- 15:32Speaker 2: One last thing. I love what you're doing with the
- 15:33Speaker 2: veterans and everything off the field. We should do that
- 15:36Speaker 2: on another podcast. What do you think? Thanks doing all right?
- 15:38Speaker 2: Thanks for joining me from here, and you come Franklin
- 15:42Speaker 2: NJ right here now.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Also supporting Justin diin baseball is Embolden Plates and I
- 15:48Speaker 1: caught up with Embolden Pilates last year at Doswald of
- 15:52Speaker 1: Cobert camp. We saw each other again in May, but
- 15:55Speaker 1: this was the the breaking of the ice between and
- 15:58Speaker 1: Bolden Plates and one about all right.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Well, I'm here one of the sponsors of today's as
- 16:02Speaker 2: Waldo Baseball camp with Justin time Baseball. Emily Anderson, CEO
- 16:07Speaker 2: and founder of Embolden Pilates. Why do you sponsor today's event?
- 16:11Speaker 3: So?
- 16:11Speaker 13: I grew up as a lifelong Yankees fan, a baseball fan,
- 16:16Speaker 13: and you know, I saw that Justin is really dedicated
- 16:21Speaker 13: to making the dreams of these children come true.
- 16:23Speaker 12: He's making it so accessible to children in our area.
- 16:27Speaker 12: Also having this experience in pilates, in fitness and health,
- 16:32Speaker 12: it's so important to me that we keep our bodies moving,
- 16:34Speaker 12: especially from.
- 16:35Speaker 2: A young age. Absolutely, and obviously baseball starts at a
- 16:37Speaker 2: very young age. Tells about in Bolden polate is what
- 16:40Speaker 2: you guys do up here.
- 16:42Speaker 14: So what I do is I provide a private pilates experience,
- 16:46Speaker 14: and the experience is tailored to the individual, primarily athletes,
- 16:52Speaker 14: industrial athletes, people that use their bodies for and anyone
- 16:55Speaker 14: that's really serious and committed about their health.
- 16:59Speaker 2: And their wellness. Now, as someone who obviously is in
- 17:02Speaker 2: the disabled community, talk about pilates with disabilities, do you
- 17:04Speaker 2: work with any people with disabilities?
- 17:06Speaker 15: I do, And actually pilates when it was first created,
- 17:09Speaker 15: it was created for people if during World War One,
- 17:13Speaker 15: for soldiers, people that were missing limbs, that were severely
- 17:17Speaker 15: injured and Joe Pilates was a genius.
- 17:20Speaker 12: He would not let these people leave those camps feeling weaker.
- 17:24Speaker 12: He wanted them to feel strong and able to move
- 17:28Speaker 12: their bodies. So, yes, I do provide that.
- 17:30Speaker 2: As a small business owner sponsoring an event like this,
- 17:33Speaker 2: what's it mean to you? And it's like helping the
- 17:36Speaker 2: community grow? Isn't it just to be able to sponsor this? Absolutely?
- 17:39Speaker 12: I mean I could have just sponsored and not attended.
- 17:42Speaker 12: But I used to teach children. I love the sport
- 17:45Speaker 12: of baseball, so this means everything to me. I want
- 17:48Speaker 12: to connect with everyone here.
- 17:50Speaker 2: If I can now, obviously as all those here. So
- 17:53Speaker 2: do you get too many games? I gotta ask you that,
- 17:55Speaker 2: do you had a many inky games? Yes?
- 17:56Speaker 15: I do.
- 17:57Speaker 12: Yeah, I spend quite a lot of time at the stadium.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Actually that's great. Well thanks for joining me, Emily.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Now, two members of the REPBX community, I want to
- 18:06Speaker 1: replay here as to why you should join the Justin
- 18:09Speaker 1: Time Baseball family is because Jake Coosak, the man behind
- 18:13Speaker 1: the Bronx Zoo TBZ and Mad Eyes in Madison, Eyes
- 18:16Speaker 1: and Major League mad are both Stone supporters and really
- 18:21Speaker 1: part of the Justin Time Baseball family. I caught up
- 18:24Speaker 1: with them as well at the Oswaldo Baseball camp. We
- 18:26Speaker 1: gotta freshen up some of these interviews, but for now,
- 18:28Speaker 1: here's what they had to tell me about Justin Time Baseball.
- 18:31Speaker 2: All Right, I'm here with Major League mad and Jake Kosak,
- 18:33Speaker 2: two of the biggest YANGA influencers. First of all, what
- 18:36Speaker 2: do you mean now, was Waldo? If you're all star
- 18:37Speaker 2: with you Madison?
- 18:38Speaker 12: Yeah, it's so great because Oswaldo is just one of
- 18:41Speaker 12: those guys that is so amazing, not only with just people,
- 18:45Speaker 12: but with kids.
- 18:48Speaker 2: He's such an amazing person and it's so great to
- 18:51Speaker 2: see him really.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Interacting with his kids, and I know he really cares.
- 18:53Speaker 12: About every single person you need.
- 18:56Speaker 2: So it's really cool to happen here and have you
- 18:58Speaker 2: work with Justin Time Baseball before or is this your
- 19:00Speaker 2: first one?
- 19:01Speaker 12: A little bit for the Boon signing, that was the
- 19:04Speaker 12: first time I loved him just as awesome.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Yeah, that was really fun, very cool. Well, well, she
- 19:11Speaker 2: had the stadium the rest of the season, Benjake, what
- 19:13Speaker 2: about you?
- 19:14Speaker 16: No, I would just say I've worked with as well
- 19:16Speaker 16: a couple of these clinics now and Justin Timm who's
- 19:19Speaker 16: the best at what he does, It's not even close.
- 19:22Speaker 16: I mean what he does every single week, every single
- 19:25Speaker 16: day for Westchester Baseball is truly changing the landscape of
- 19:29Speaker 16: youth baseball and the bringing a guy like as Wealdo
- 19:32Speaker 16: Cabrera who not only is a competitor to the highest
- 19:36Speaker 16: degree in Major League Baseball, but what he can teach
- 19:39Speaker 16: these kids about being a competitor on their youth level.
- 19:42Speaker 16: He is the epitome of what a baseball player should
- 19:44Speaker 16: be and he is the exact example kids need in
- 19:48Speaker 16: today's generation of how to treat people.
- 19:50Speaker 2: And we're fangers say we wishould play him every day, right,
- 19:52Speaker 2: that's the little as well. The Cobra should be in
- 19:54Speaker 2: the lineup every single days that for a while now too, Yeah,
- 19:58Speaker 2: it's not in plos. And then one last, I think
- 20:00Speaker 2: you both are huge in the REPBX community. Tell us
- 20:02Speaker 2: what that means to sort of have that stature, if
- 20:04Speaker 2: you will.
- 20:06Speaker 16: To me, I'm blessed every single day to be able
- 20:08Speaker 16: to even go out and talk to not just athletes
- 20:12Speaker 16: and vendors at all these events, but to speak to
- 20:14Speaker 16: the fans and have their respect is the greatest honor
- 20:17Speaker 16: that I have on this earth.
- 20:18Speaker 2: So it's the best fan base in the world. Absolutely.
- 20:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I couldn't have said it better myself. It means so
- 20:25Speaker 2: much because when I.
- 20:25Speaker 12: First started, I was basically a little kid and it
- 20:28Speaker 12: was just a fun hobby that I did, so I
- 20:30Speaker 12: didn't expect it to ever grow to the point that
- 20:33Speaker 12: it has.
- 20:33Speaker 3: And given me this huge platform and every day.
- 20:36Speaker 2: I'm grateful to meet people and just have the opportunities
- 20:39Speaker 2: there it in Well, thenk you both joining me on
- 20:41Speaker 2: the Alex their podcast network.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and those are some of the voices and people
- 20:45Speaker 1: that work for and support Just in Time Baseball and
- 20:50Speaker 1: now it was a great time for you to join
- 20:52Speaker 1: the justin Time Baseball family as well, and I'm so
- 20:54Speaker 1: honored that they have come along to partner with One
- 20:57Speaker 1: leg Up Alex
