- 1:01Speaker 3: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 1:04Speaker 3: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Dan O'Malley, along with
- 1:07Speaker 3: Trey Turnholm, who's still learning his buttons.
- 1:12Speaker 1: It's got to sound real.
- 1:13Speaker 2: After a while, it's got to sound really stupid to
- 1:15Speaker 2: listeners of how that happens.
- 1:17Speaker 1: And it's very simple.
- 1:18Speaker 2: When you have a set of buttons and you, when
- 1:21Speaker 2: you go no look, because you think you got it
- 1:23Speaker 2: and then you hit the.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Wrong, you hit the wrong button.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Despite the fact the buttons on that road caster are
- 1:30Speaker 3: about the same size as the really big buttons that
- 1:33Speaker 3: were on my grandmother's phone at one point that are
- 1:36Speaker 3: basically two inches by two inches.
- 1:39Speaker 1: And they're color-coded and everything else.
- 1:40Speaker 2: It's just, when you go no look, because you think
- 1:44Speaker 2: you got it this time.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you got cocky. You got cocky. All right, today,
- 1:51Speaker 3: Inside the Treehouse show, a whole lot of unhinged. And
- 1:54Speaker 3: speaking of unhinged, that is where we are starting today. Trey,
- 1:58Speaker 3: have you ever been stood up on a date?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Yes, I have.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I'm sorry, man. Are you a pretty girl who's been
- 2:08Speaker 3: stood up on a date?
- 2:11Speaker 1: You know, I'm in my 20s, but now, no.
- 2:18Speaker 3: So the reason I ask you this is because an
- 2:22Speaker 3: influencer went viral Because she released an As It Happened
- 2:29Speaker 3: video of her getting stood up on a date. And
- 2:33Speaker 3: then it carried over into the next day where she's
- 2:36Speaker 3: explaining and recapping the entirety of the situation where she
- 2:40Speaker 3: goes out the night before. She vlogs it on TikTok
- 2:45Speaker 3: and other social platforms. And the guy never shows up.
- 2:49Speaker 3: She just absolutely got stood up on a date. And
- 2:52Speaker 3: then she took it to a whole new level because...
- 2:55Speaker 3: In her video where she talks about being stood up
- 2:58Speaker 3: on a date, she wants the dating app to pay
- 3:03Speaker 3: her back for the food and drinks that she spent
- 3:08Speaker 3: while waiting on her date to show up. This is
- 3:12Speaker 3: a fascinating story from so many angles, but let's hear
- 3:15Speaker 3: from her first. What do you say? You want to
- 3:17Speaker 3: do that?
- 3:18Speaker 1: Yes, please.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Now, I see her name is Paige Davis. She has
- 3:27Speaker 3: a number of followers on the TikTok. She is something
- 3:31Speaker 3: of a social media influencer. And you know what? She's
- 3:35Speaker 3: a beautiful girl. And I'm sure that she has probably
- 3:41Speaker 3: never been stood up before. So this may be her
- 3:45Speaker 3: first time. That's what happens a lot with pretty people.
- 3:47Speaker 3: They're very surprised if they get stood up. So here
- 3:49Speaker 3: she is the next day. talking to her followers about
- 3:54Speaker 3: what it was like being stood up on a date
- 3:56Speaker 3: in Miami.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Just say about the guy who stood me up last night.
- 4:00Speaker 5: So I get there at like 845. I text the
- 4:02Speaker 5: guy at like 853. I don't want to seem too eager.
- 4:05Speaker 5: And he's like, OK, you know, I'm leaving the event.
- 4:08Speaker 5: I'll be there in a little bit. It's 9.07 and
- 4:10Speaker 5: he calls me and he's like, hey, I'm about a
- 4:12Speaker 5: half a block away. I just wanted to let you
- 4:13Speaker 5: know I'm like on my way. And I said, okay, great.
- 4:15Speaker 5: I'll see you soon. And at 9.27, I text him
- 4:19Speaker 5: and I'm like, hey, if you're not close, I'm going
- 4:22Speaker 5: to go. Don't hear anything. 9.31, I decide to call him.
- 4:26Speaker 5: I'm blocked. I just think that is the cruelest thing
- 4:29Speaker 5: you could ever do to somebody. First of all, why
- 4:31Speaker 5: would you call and say you're like on your way?
- 4:34Speaker 1: To embarrass me more?
- 4:35Speaker 5: Like if you're going to not show up, I would
- 4:37Speaker 5: have already gotten the sense of that if you had
- 4:40Speaker 5: just like not answered me when I said I was
- 4:42Speaker 5: on my way. So while I'm sitting there, I have
- 4:45Speaker 5: one cocktail, which if you know Miami prices, $ 25 shrimp cocktail.
- 4:50Speaker 5: So another $ 25. I Ubered there like $ 18. I had
- 4:53Speaker 5: to Uber back another $ 18. So all in, it was
- 4:56Speaker 5: easily over a hundred dollars.
- 4:58Speaker 1: For me to get.
- 4:59Speaker 3: For her to get stood up. I want to back
- 5:01Speaker 3: up a little bit because one cocktail, which that, that
- 5:03Speaker 3: to me is like, you know, Miami. a two-staged situation
- 5:09Speaker 3: that we're dealing with, right? Stage one, getting stood up
- 5:14Speaker 3: is awful. And she said in a previous video that
- 5:18Speaker 3: him continuing to text and let her know that he's
- 5:22Speaker 3: on his way and still never showing up, she was like,
- 5:26Speaker 3: that is some diabolical-ish. And she's not wrong about that.
- 5:30Speaker 3: That truly is messed up. Like, if you're just standing
- 5:33Speaker 3: somebody up, just tell them, I'm not going to make it.
- 5:37Speaker 3: You don't even have to say more than that. If
- 5:39Speaker 3: you're planning on not talking to them ever again, it
- 5:42Speaker 3: doesn't really matter what you say. Even though it's also atrocious,
- 5:45Speaker 3: just not responding and ghosting them in that scenario would
- 5:50Speaker 3: probably be better than continuing the con that says, oh,
- 5:56Speaker 3: I'm on my way, I'm down the street, I'm around
- 5:58Speaker 3: the corner, when you're never going to show up.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's where I.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Don't understand of What the guys, I feel like there's
- 6:11Speaker 2: a vendetta. There's a backstory here somehow, some way, because
- 6:18Speaker 2: you're absolutely correct. You know, if you make plans and
- 6:21Speaker 2: you just don't call, don't anything, that's one thing. But
- 6:25Speaker 2: to say you're a block away and clearly you had
- 6:29Speaker 2: no intent of showing up, that's like taking extra effort.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Um, I think you may have nailed it.
- 6:42Speaker 2: It makes me wonder, uh, going back and if you
- 6:49Speaker 2: went over back with the, over this girl's post, if
- 6:51Speaker 2: she wronged a friend of his, or if she has
- 6:55Speaker 2: done something or here's the other thing. And kind of
- 6:59Speaker 2: went through this, uh, and it took a girl out
- 7:05Speaker 2: a couple of weeks ago that post a lot on
- 7:10Speaker 2: social media, on TikTok. And a lot of it, let's
- 7:19Speaker 2: face it, girls can do, I'll call them thirst trap
- 7:22Speaker 2: videos for lack of a better term. And they get
- 7:25Speaker 2: a lot of followers. I mean, guys see boobs and
- 7:28Speaker 2: a pretty face and they're probably going to follow. And
- 7:31Speaker 2: they don't even, girls don't even really have to come
- 7:33Speaker 2: up with great content. They can just film themselves with
- 7:36Speaker 2: some music and, and some, you know, actual verbiage on
- 7:40Speaker 2: the screen, some text and, you know, they'll get tons of,
- 7:44Speaker 2: of likes and follows.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Just a little bit of cleavage. That's all it takes.
- 7:49Speaker 3: We are a simple, simple species.
- 7:51Speaker 2: So because this girl, I like, honestly, far calmer and
- 7:59Speaker 2: better than I, I granted, I don't have a great
- 8:02Speaker 2: impression of Miami.
- 8:03Speaker 1: But calmer and, and, and far more on less unhinged.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I don't know if that's the right term or not
- 8:12Speaker 2: for a Miami influencer.
- 8:13Speaker 1: They got stood up than I would expect.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Um, and it does. I, and I'm surprised she isn't
- 8:19Speaker 2: asking for, uh, whoever the, I don't know which service
- 8:24Speaker 2: she was on, what app that they didn't cover her,
- 8:27Speaker 2: you know, getting ready expenses too.
- 8:31Speaker 3: But yeah, it, We'll get into that. That's some of
- 8:36Speaker 3: the phase two of this. But I think you nailed
- 8:41Speaker 3: it when you said, considering, could this have been intentional?
- 8:47Speaker 3: And she hinted at it, thinking she was being extreme
- 8:50Speaker 3: by saying, going through all this and telling me you're
- 8:54Speaker 3: around the corner multiple times and not showing up is
- 8:57Speaker 3: some diabolical essence. So she said it, but I don't
- 9:02Speaker 3: think she fully realized it as an actual possibility. Trey,
- 9:06Speaker 3: you said it might actually be an actual possibility because
- 9:12Speaker 3: if you are drawing someone out that much, saying I'm
- 9:14Speaker 3: around the corner, around the corner, I'll be right there, blah, blah, blah.
- 9:17Speaker 3: It does feel intentional. And you're right. Maybe there is
- 9:20Speaker 3: some sort of backstory here that she's not considering that
- 9:24Speaker 3: it's a guy that maybe she stood up before. Now
- 9:26Speaker 3: he's got a fake profile and engaged her. It's a
- 9:29Speaker 3: friend of a guy that she had a problem with,
- 9:31Speaker 3: or it's maybe a guy friend of a girlfriend or
- 9:33Speaker 3: some other, some other way that, you know, she has
- 9:36Speaker 3: wronged somebody and this is how they got her back.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Or I would love to know if she's stood
- 9:43Speaker 1: up a guy before.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Right. So now let's jump into phase two here with
- 9:50Speaker 3: the young lady where she starts demanding reimbursement for her
- 9:54Speaker 3: night's activities for being stood up.
- 9:57Speaker 5: I decide to call him. um i'm blocked i i
- 10:00Speaker 5: just think that is the cruelest thing you could ever
- 10:02Speaker 5: do to somebody first of all why would you call
- 10:05Speaker 5: and say you're like on your way yeah okay to
- 10:07Speaker 5: embarrass me more like if you're gonna not show up
- 10:10Speaker 5: maybe i would have already gotten the sense of that
- 10:12Speaker 5: if you had just like not answered me when I
- 10:15Speaker 5: said I was on my way. So while I'm sitting here,
- 10:17Speaker 5: I have one cocktail, which if you know Miami prices,
- 10:20Speaker 5: $ 25 shrimp cocktail, so another $ 25. I Ubered there, like $ 18.
- 10:22Speaker 5: I had to Uber back, another $ 18. So all in,
- 10:24Speaker 5: it was easily over $ 100 for me to get stood.
- 10:33Speaker 5: So Bumble, can you pay me that $ 100 that I'm owed?
- 10:37Speaker 5: Because you have trash men on your apps who leave
- 10:41Speaker 5: women and stand them up. Much more jovial and like
- 10:44Speaker 5: making fun of it today. Last night I was really upset.
- 10:47Speaker 5: And I was crying. Not even so much just that
- 10:49Speaker 5: one guy. It's just, this is so exhausting. I am
- 10:52Speaker 5: doing so much at all times trying to find somebody.
- 10:55Speaker 5: And I just felt as if like, this is just
- 10:58Speaker 5: too much. Just the idea that you call someone and say, hey,
- 11:01Speaker 5: I'm on my way confirming the plans. Then you don't
- 11:06Speaker 5: show up and then you block them. That to me
- 11:09Speaker 5: is just the cruelest, most inhumane thing you could do
- 11:12Speaker 5: to somebody. I have no words. I'm like trying not
- 11:15Speaker 5: to cry right now.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It was just so mean.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Oh, then she ends it with a caption of text.
- 11:21Speaker 3: So many women have been stood up. I've received dozens
- 11:24Speaker 3: of messages relating. It's far too common. Men, since Wynn
- 11:28Speaker 3: is wasting a woman's time by asking her out, then
- 11:31Speaker 3: leaving her sitting there alone, wondering what the hell happened,
- 11:34Speaker 3: an acceptable way to say you're not interested. I genuinely
- 11:37Speaker 3: love some feedback from men on this.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:43Speaker 3: We'll be happy to supply you with some male feedback here.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Quit thinking you're so goddamn special. You are not the
- 11:52Speaker 3: only person that's ever been stood up. Women are not
- 11:54Speaker 3: the only sex that have been stood up. It happens
- 11:59Speaker 3: to men every single goddamn day as well. I am
- 12:02Speaker 3: tired of everyone acting like they're the most important or
- 12:07Speaker 3: infringed upon, persecuted subset of humanity. You're not. There are
- 12:14Speaker 3: some people that are unfairly discriminated against. Absolutely. But women,
- 12:20Speaker 3: you do not own it. It happens both freaking ways.
- 12:27Speaker 3: It is not an all men problem and quit acting
- 12:30Speaker 3: like women have never stood up men before either. That's
- 12:33Speaker 3: the stuff I can't stand. It's the hypocrisy. There's a
- 12:36Speaker 3: kernel of male feedback. Trey, your turn.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Well, first of all, I have very little sympathy for
- 12:43Speaker 2: attractive women and their plight.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Pretty privilege is a thing.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Yeah, much like probably other people don't have much sympathy
- 12:52Speaker 3: for us as white men.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I understand that she's upset, but A, Bumble's response has
- 13:03Speaker 2: to be, you swiped right on him. We didn't force
- 13:07Speaker 2: you to match with him. And we could put, oh, hey,
- 13:13Speaker 2: you can't do this stuff on Bumble. That doesn't mean
- 13:15Speaker 2: it's not going to happen. And you can go create
- 13:19Speaker 2: another profile and whatever. Yeah, I just, I'll be curious
- 13:25Speaker 2: about this one and see if there's, if something doesn't
- 13:28Speaker 2: come out where there's more to the story. Because also
- 13:35Speaker 2: at the same time, we could also be in a
- 13:38Speaker 2: situation that she's completely made this all up.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Thank you. That was phase three for me. We have
- 13:45Speaker 3: no evidence whatsoever that this even actually happened. This could
- 13:49Speaker 3: be entirely made up for the intended purpose that we
- 13:55Speaker 3: are doing right now. She gets attention, millions of views,
- 13:58Speaker 3: tons of followers, sympathy, clout, all of it. And we
- 14:03Speaker 3: have no proof of any of it. She's just talking,
- 14:06Speaker 3: saying this is what happened. This is supposedly how much
- 14:10Speaker 3: I spent. There are text messages that she showed on
- 14:14Speaker 3: a screen, but you can do that between yourself and
- 14:17Speaker 3: your own phone number.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:21Speaker 3: I mean, hell, they're apps.
- 14:22Speaker 1: You can get fake text messages.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I can create a fake text chain
- 14:27Speaker 3: right now in Canva, and it's not hard. So we
- 14:31Speaker 3: have no actual evidence that this is even true.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Yeah, no.
- 14:38Speaker 2: And here's the other thing that actually it's... For me,
- 14:42Speaker 2: the saddest part of this story.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Dallas is about the same price as Miami now.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Prices are out of control, man.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Has that shocked you since you've been in town?
- 14:58Speaker 3: No, because I... For the most part, I live on
- 15:02Speaker 3: an island in the Caribbean where everything's really goddamn expensive.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Well, you live on an island in a high-end tourist area. I.
- 15:12Speaker 1: You expect prices to be high there.
- 15:14Speaker 3: I mean, it's, it's a resort. I don't, yeah, I
- 15:17Speaker 3: don't complain about it. I do compare it because it
- 15:20Speaker 3: is crazy how like a tub of my yogurt costs
- 15:23Speaker 3: 50% more here or more there than it does here.
- 15:27Speaker 3: But that's just accepted. It's kind of like a California
- 15:30Speaker 3: real estate prices. Same thing. I'm not surprised by it.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I kind of expected it.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Well, and that's one thing, obviously it takes more to
- 15:37Speaker 2: get stuff to an Island. Um, but, just going out
- 15:43Speaker 2: drink prices, everything it's, I mean, Miami still may be
- 15:47Speaker 2: a little bit more expensive, but it used to be
- 15:50Speaker 2: where you would see that and you'd be like, Oh
- 15:52Speaker 2: my God, I can get a drink and a shrimp
- 15:55Speaker 2: cocktail for.
- 15:56Speaker 1: $ 25 total. And now you're like, yeah, that's probably about
- 15:59Speaker 1: what it would cost here.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Yeah. The, so the good news is like when my
- 16:04Speaker 3: wife and I go out, we're typically just like, if
- 16:07Speaker 3: we get a cocktail, it is usually like a well
- 16:09Speaker 3: vodka soda. I mean, we're not, we're not, balling. We're
- 16:12Speaker 3: not bougie like that. Now, if we go out and
- 16:14Speaker 3: that's going to be seven, eight bucks in Dallas, depending
- 16:17Speaker 3: on the bar, that's already a pretty steep increase. We're
- 16:21Speaker 3: talking about a well drink, seven, eight bucks. Some places
- 16:24Speaker 3: you might find six and may have a daytime special
- 16:27Speaker 3: for a little bit less. Trey, with your facial reactions,
- 16:30Speaker 3: I can't tell if I'm under or over the price
- 16:34Speaker 3: for a well button.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Most places now, especially if you go into Uptown or
- 16:38Speaker 2: anywhere else, you're going to be looking at 10 to
- 16:42Speaker 2: $ 12 for a well.
- 16:43Speaker 3: And that's the other part too. My wife and I
- 16:45Speaker 3: are dive bar aficionados. So when I order a well,
- 16:49Speaker 3: when I, when I order a single tall well, vodka soda,
- 16:55Speaker 3: and it's seven bucks, eight bucks, it's at a place
- 16:58Speaker 3: like Lakewood landing. So it is a dive bar. Now,
- 17:01Speaker 3: if I do go to a place in uptown or
- 17:04Speaker 3: like Magnolia and Fort worth or something, it, yeah. At
- 17:07Speaker 3: 10 bucks, 11 bucks, 12. I'm sure. If we go
- 17:10Speaker 3: out to a nice dinner and I get a, a
- 17:12Speaker 3: fancy cocktail from the cocktail menu, I fully expect that
- 17:17Speaker 3: to be in the mid to upper teens. I am
- 17:20Speaker 3: not going now. Miami might be on a new level
- 17:22Speaker 3: that she somehow got a tequila cocktail for 25 bucks.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I'm like, Jesus. Hang on. Notice that.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Well, which first of all, if you're drinking a reposado
- 17:31Speaker 2: or a Neho, that that's actually par for the course.
- 17:35Speaker 1: You're right.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I didn't think about if she's doing a true top
- 17:38Speaker 3: shelf type thing.
- 17:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:39Speaker 1: But also notice those prices include tipping. So that's about
- 17:43Speaker 1: a $ 20 cocktail.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. And I'm also the type
- 17:49Speaker 3: that I'm not trying to do anything dumb when it
- 17:54Speaker 3: comes to a cocktail. We're getting off in some of this,
- 17:56Speaker 3: but still like I know people that would order a
- 18:00Speaker 3: gray goose and soda. I'm not doing that because I'm
- 18:05Speaker 3: I'm not going to taste the difference in the vodka
- 18:07Speaker 3: when it's mixed with the soda. So if I'm doing
- 18:10Speaker 3: a cocktail or some sort of mixed beverage, I don't
- 18:13Speaker 3: need the top shelf stuff necessarily because I'm really not
- 18:16Speaker 3: going to taste the difference.
- 18:19Speaker 2: And I say this not only as a recovering alcoholic
- 18:22Speaker 2: who drank a lot, but as someone who has run
- 18:24Speaker 2: bars for a very long time, you have people who
- 18:30Speaker 2: will tell you, oh, I can taste the difference.
- 18:32Speaker 1: No, you can't.
- 18:32Speaker 2: The only time you can taste the difference in a
- 18:34Speaker 2: vodka is if you're in a martini, you know, something
- 18:38Speaker 2: that is pretty straight up.
- 18:39Speaker 1: But if you're mixing it with anything, you know, you
- 18:42Speaker 1: can't tell the difference. Yeah.
- 18:43Speaker 3: It's like people that will say like, oh, I need
- 18:45Speaker 3: a Belvedere and soda or something. I'm like, man, just
- 18:48Speaker 3: give me the well, as long as the well isn't Mohawk.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Like there are some well-heard of Mohawk. Trey, I used
- 18:58Speaker 3: to work with Russ Martin. And it got so bad
- 19:02Speaker 3: for a while when he said he was low on
- 19:06Speaker 3: provisions of vodka. We would send Jerry out to the
- 19:09Speaker 3: liquor store because Russ didn't do everything for himself. And
- 19:12Speaker 3: we would tell him, come back with the worst rot
- 19:17Speaker 3: gut you can find. And one day he came back
- 19:20Speaker 3: with a case of Mohawk vodka and told Russ that
- 19:24Speaker 3: they were out of Tito's and everything else. Because we
- 19:29Speaker 3: wanted to see how bad it was. He drank it.
- 19:33Speaker 3: He drank all of it. And that was some bad stuff. Like,
- 19:40Speaker 3: I tried it. Oh, I'm sure. Oh, and so on occasion,
- 19:45Speaker 3: when I go to a bar and I say, yeah,
- 19:47Speaker 3: just uh give me a vodka soda like well do
- 19:49Speaker 3: you have a vodka presence or preference i'm like no
- 19:52Speaker 3: just your well is fine if i see them pull
- 19:54Speaker 3: up mohawk i'm like okay accept that.
- 19:56Speaker 2: One i i like i've i've never heard of mohawk
- 20:00Speaker 2: and i like i've run a lot of bars and
- 20:02Speaker 2: ordered a lot of well vodka in my time uh
- 20:06Speaker 2: and that's just.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Huh that's bottom shelf Yeah. And behind the other stuff.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And that's just sad that.
- 20:20Speaker 1: A very... A wealthy man... That shows you alcoholism. Very
- 20:25Speaker 1: wealthy man drinking just crap because he's too lazy to
- 20:29Speaker 1: go get it himself.
- 20:30Speaker 3: That's right.
- 20:31Speaker 1: That was actually... I don't think I've ever told this story.
- 20:33Speaker 1: One of the biggest fights Russ and I ever had.
- 20:38Speaker 1: And what a.
- 20:39Speaker 2: It led to the ultimate dismantling of our friendship. One
- 20:45Speaker 2: of the things, he got so mad at me one night.
- 20:48Speaker 2: It was a Saturday night.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I was drunk.
- 20:50Speaker 2: And he blew up my phone, called me, and was
- 20:58Speaker 2: mad that I would not drive to Frisco from downtown
- 21:00Speaker 2: Dallas drunk to bring him booze.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Like, threatening my... And you know how he was threatening
- 21:11Speaker 1: my job, everything.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I'm like, I can't drive. He's like, you'll be fine.
- 21:19Speaker 3: No. So you think getting him a case of Mohawk
- 21:27Speaker 3: vodka was bad? That he drank and that we did
- 21:30Speaker 3: it at all and then he actually drank it? So
- 21:33Speaker 3: then it was like, all right, he drank that. Now
- 21:37Speaker 3: let's see if he'll drink the Mohawk gin.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Oh, did he?
- 21:42Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Oh, Jesus. And that's when I go, hey, he was
- 21:50Speaker 1: a bigger alcoholic than me. That's right.
- 21:52Speaker 3: That's how you knew it was a problem. I think
- 21:55Speaker 3: I went into management's office and I said, you know
- 21:57Speaker 3: how I told you before that we have a problem?
- 21:59Speaker 3: They're like, yeah. I'm like, it's gotten worse. How? How?
- 22:03Speaker 3: he's now drinking bottom shelf gin. And there was a little,
- 22:07Speaker 3: little brief flicker in management's eyes going like, Oh yeah,
- 22:10Speaker 3: that does sound bad.
- 22:14Speaker 1: If you start drinking gin period. Yeah.
- 22:18Speaker 3: It's you're already slumming it.
- 22:22Speaker 2: There's only two people who drink gin, very high end
- 22:25Speaker 2: refined taste palates and rock good alcoholics.
- 22:32Speaker 3: I think we know which one we're talking about.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration
- 22:38Speaker 3: in the Treehouse for your free roof inspection and property review.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Call 833-COOK-DFW today to get that scheduled. 833-COOK-DFW. The website
- 22:48Speaker 3: is cookdfw.com. Daniel, part of the roofing process is knowing
- 22:54Speaker 3: about ventilation and how important that can be to the
- 22:57Speaker 3: life of the roof. That's something you guys look at.
- 23:00Speaker 3: It's not just about shingles.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Absolutely, Dan.
- 23:03Speaker 4: A lot of homeowners underestimate the amount of attic heat
- 23:07Speaker 4: buildup that their home has. Affects their AC system, affects
- 23:11Speaker 4: their roof condition long term, affects just overall their home.
- 23:16Speaker 4: And so when we come out, we make that assessment
- 23:18Speaker 4: with the homeowner. We try to educate them, make sure
- 23:21Speaker 4: they have the proper ventilation. There is a calculation of this.
- 23:24Speaker 4: We walk them around. If they're interested in going around,
- 23:26Speaker 4: we show them what their intakes look like, what their
- 23:28Speaker 4: exhaust system looks like. And try to make the best
- 23:31Speaker 4: fit for their home. So that's a very common thing
- 23:33Speaker 4: that we do. And it should be done every time
- 23:35Speaker 4: you have construction done at your property. You need to
- 23:37Speaker 4: be educated on what's happening and why.
- 23:40Speaker 3: And if you've ever dealt with a roofing contractor that
- 23:43Speaker 3: didn't have a conversation with you about ventilation underneath that roof,
- 23:50Speaker 3: then you need to call Daniel Cook at 833-COOK-DFW. So

- 24:39Speaker 3: I've just... Briefly read the first sentence of the prep
- 24:43Speaker 3: service birthdays for today. And it says October 13th is
- 24:47Speaker 3: a monster birthday day for the Treehouse Show. So let's
- 24:51Speaker 3: find out. Today is October 13th, 2026. Let's celebrate today
- 24:56Speaker 3: with some birthdays. Tiffany Trump is 33 today. the newsmaker
- 25:06Speaker 3: daughter of president donald trump and marla maples tiffany trump
- 25:09Speaker 3: 33 today.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Which one is she i don't even i can't even
- 25:16Speaker 1: picture her.
- 25:17Speaker 3: It's uh i think it's trump's youngest daughter because then
- 25:20Speaker 3: you got baron is the youngest son i don't know
- 25:22Speaker 3: if there's any between her and him uh but it
- 25:25Speaker 3: just says daughter of president trump tiffany trump i think
- 25:27Speaker 3: i think i can see her face um Honestly, I
- 25:31Speaker 3: get lost with some of the Trump kids. I don't
- 25:33Speaker 3: know which ones are his and which ones are like
- 25:35Speaker 3: the other, like his kids' kids. Anyway, one of the
- 25:38Speaker 3: Trump kiddos, 33. Oh, okay. The complete opposite of Tiffany Trump,
- 25:44Speaker 3: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is 37. Also known as AOC. Himesh Patel
- 25:54Speaker 3: is 36. This is a guy who is a severe
- 26:00Speaker 3: rising star in Hollywood. So, Trey, you may not know
- 26:04Speaker 3: him by name, but you know him by face. Himesh
- 26:08Speaker 3: Patel is 36 today. He was most recently in The Odyssey.
- 26:14Speaker 3: He was Matt Damon's slash, you know, Odysseus?
- 26:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:21Speaker 3: He was Matt Damon's right-hand guy in The Boat.
- 26:25Speaker 1: He was in the awful Beatles movie. That's how I
- 26:27Speaker 1: know him.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Was that him?
- 26:31Speaker 1: Yesterday, yeah.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Yeah, that was an interesting movie. Yeah, the star of Yesterday,
- 26:36Speaker 3: the movie in which he's the only person who remembers
- 26:38Speaker 3: the Beatles. He's also been in Tenet, which explains why
- 26:43Speaker 3: he was in also The Odyssey. Christopher Nolan. Christopher Nolan
- 26:46Speaker 3: loves using the same actors and projects. And he's also
- 26:52Speaker 3: in the reboot of Of the X-Files. Himesh Patel.
- 26:57Speaker 1: I didn't even know they rebooted the X-Files.
- 27:00Speaker 3: They're in the process of it. I don't know if
- 27:02Speaker 3: they finished. The production on it yet. I saw a
- 27:06Speaker 3: couple of months ago. That David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Were going to appear in it in some way. And
- 27:11Speaker 3: I guess hand it over to Himesh Patel. And I
- 27:14Speaker 3: forget the actress. I forget the actress's name. Is kind
- 27:18Speaker 3: of doing the Scully type role. Of that. Chris Carter.
- 27:22Speaker 3: I don't know if. Because Chris Carter was the one
- 27:24Speaker 3: that created and produced the original X-Files. I think this
- 27:29Speaker 3: is now being taken over by Ryan Coogler, who is
- 27:33Speaker 3: the guy that did the Black Panther films.
- 27:38Speaker 1: I smell Big Flop. And I'll tell you why. The
- 27:47Speaker 1: X-Files was pre-internet.
- 27:49Speaker 3: It's true.
- 27:50Speaker 1: So.
- 27:51Speaker 2: The things they did, the things they talked about were
- 27:55Speaker 2: unknown to everyone.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I think now with fact-checking.
- 28:00Speaker 2: And everything else, and there's just so much more information.
- 28:05Speaker 2: And honestly, what was weird and occult then, I feel
- 28:11Speaker 2: like is far more mainstream now.
- 28:14Speaker 3: You're not wrong, man. Yeah. You go back. I've not
- 28:18Speaker 3: gone back and watched any old X-Files shows, but if
- 28:21Speaker 3: I did, I bet you're right, Trey. I bet we
- 28:23Speaker 3: would all see that as like, man, this stuff's mainstream now. Yeah.
- 28:29Speaker 3: I did love the X-Files back in the day, though.
- 28:31Speaker 3: That was good stuff. All right, so I'm actually going
- 28:32Speaker 3: to tell 36.
- 28:33Speaker 1: That was a series that, yeah, I'm with you. When
- 28:35Speaker 1: it started, I loved it.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I feel like about after season three, somewhere around there,
- 28:41Speaker 2: I kind of lost interest, but.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it was great. God, I hate saying groundbreaking, but
- 28:47Speaker 1: it was.
- 28:50Speaker 2: That's when Fox was very daring in their programming and
- 28:54Speaker 2: and that was one of their staples.
- 28:57Speaker 3: I still remember an episode of The X-Files. Don't remember
- 28:59Speaker 3: which season it was. Don't even remember how the episode ended.
- 29:02Speaker 3: But I remember one scene specifically where it's some house
- 29:06Speaker 3: and there's some creepy thing in the house with glowing
- 29:10Speaker 3: red eyes. Someone goes to the top of the stairs
- 29:13Speaker 3: and sees these glowing red eyes staring at it from
- 29:16Speaker 3: down the hall and in a bedroom or something. And
- 29:19Speaker 3: the person is scared. And then it cuts to the
- 29:22Speaker 3: person and then the person looks back. And then all
- 29:25Speaker 3: of a sudden you see the glowing red eyes bouncing
- 29:28Speaker 3: like they're moving towards the person. I get chills right
- 29:31Speaker 3: now thinking about it. It still creeps me out. Just
- 29:34Speaker 3: seeing the glowing red eyes bouncing towards the person. That
- 29:38Speaker 3: was just an episode. I don't know what it was.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I don't know how the episode ended, but that still
- 29:43Speaker 3: gives me the heebie-jeebies. Other birthdays today. Ashanti is 46.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Ryan Clark, former Steelers safety and current NFL football analyst, 47.
- 29:54Speaker 3: I think he's really good, by the way.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Yeah, he is good. I feel like he's had some
- 30:02Speaker 1: ups and downs as far as things he said.
- 30:06Speaker 3: I guess I've missed a few headlines. Sasha Baron Cohen
- 30:13Speaker 3: is 55 today.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Man, you want to talk about someone I.
- 30:22Speaker 2: In some roles, I absolutely love him. He's another one
- 30:25Speaker 2: I can take in small doses.
- 30:27Speaker 1: For instance... Talladega Nights. Perfect.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Brilliant.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Borat's too much for me. Ali G's too much for me.
- 30:36Speaker 2: The fact that they're doing an Ali G reboot or
- 30:40Speaker 2: a new Ali G movie, I'll be curious.
- 30:44Speaker 1: How that goes over. But I will always tip my
- 30:52Speaker 1: hat to him. I would shake his hand.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Because he got the bang Isla Fisher for a while.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Yeah. They were married, weren't they?
- 31:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Um, I can't remember if it was Borat one or
- 31:10Speaker 3: Borat two, but I went to the theater and I
- 31:15Speaker 3: laughed myself stupid. There was one scene in there. Uh,
- 31:19Speaker 3: I can't remember exactly, but I just remember laughing so hard.
- 31:23Speaker 3: I almost lost it. It was so funny. Um, Also,
- 31:27Speaker 3: kind of an underrated one, but if you go back
- 31:28Speaker 3: and watch it, it really slaps in certain ways. The Dictator.
- 31:31Speaker 1: I don't think I ever saw it.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Just fair warning. There's Big Bush and Little Wiener up
- 31:41Speaker 3: against some glass. Funny, but kind of jarring. Billy Bush
- 31:49Speaker 3: is 55 as well today.
- 31:52Speaker 1: That's funny. I just saw him on TV.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I didn't realize he had had a Because he kind
- 31:59Speaker 2: of got canceled after the Trump thing.
- 32:01Speaker 3: No, he didn't kind of get canceled. NBC fired him.
- 32:06Speaker 3: He was off the air for a few years before
- 32:08Speaker 3: he ever got any sort of a wink and a
- 32:11Speaker 3: nod to come back to TV. It's the great irony
- 32:16Speaker 3: in that whole situation about something that was supposed to
- 32:19Speaker 3: be campaign ending for Trump and it ended up getting
- 32:24Speaker 3: Billy Bush instead. Because you remember the Looney Tunes cartoon
- 32:28Speaker 3: with the big bulldog Spike and the little yippy dog
- 32:31Speaker 3: around him? Like, come on, Spike. What are you going
- 32:32Speaker 3: to do, Spike? Come on. You got to get a bike.
- 32:35Speaker 3: So to me, that's exactly what happened with Trump and
- 32:37Speaker 3: that video thing with Access Hollywood and Billy Bush. Trump
- 32:40Speaker 3: was the big bulldog. Billy Bush was the little yappy
- 32:42Speaker 3: dog kind of spurring him on. And it was Billy Bush,
- 32:45Speaker 3: the little yappy dog that took all the heat for
- 32:49Speaker 3: something bad.
- 32:50Speaker 2: But wasn't that video– I don't even know if there
- 32:55Speaker 2: was ever a video, but the audio. Wasn't that even
- 32:58Speaker 2: before Trump was running for president? It was just something
- 33:02Speaker 2: he had said?
- 33:03Speaker 3: Yeah, that was actually part of an apprentice promotional tour that.
- 33:09Speaker 1: He was doing.
- 33:18Speaker 2: We don't get into politics, and that's fine. We both
- 33:22Speaker 2: know Eileen, we're conservatives. But even I'll say this. Trump
- 33:27Speaker 2: comes with about a two-year shelf life.
- 33:36Speaker 3: For me, it's about two months.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:40Speaker 2: I remember after his first term, it's like, yeah.
- 33:45Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 33:49Speaker 3: I'll say it today the same way I said it
- 33:51Speaker 3: all the way back in what was it 2016 when
- 33:53Speaker 3: he first got elected it's like you know what he
- 33:54Speaker 3: is the president and I hope he does a really
- 33:56Speaker 3: good job meanwhile Nancy Kerrigan turns 57 today wow yeah
- 34:07Speaker 3: the sports Olympic figure skater figure skating medalist 1994 rivalry
- 34:12Speaker 3: with Tanya Harding became one of the biggest sports scandals
- 34:15Speaker 3: of the decade.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Biggest sports scandals of all time.
- 34:21Speaker 3: It really is. Tanya Harding had her boyfriend hire a
- 34:24Speaker 3: guy to whack Nancy Kerrigan on the knee with a
- 34:29Speaker 3: tire iron. Even just saying it out loud seemed so
- 34:34Speaker 3: outlandish that it doesn't even seem plausible. But it was
- 34:38Speaker 3: real life. And we watched it on TV. She's screaming
- 34:42Speaker 3: and crying. Poor Nancy Kerrigan. Why me? Why me?
- 34:46Speaker 1: I mean, trial and everything. I mean, this was. Yeah, that's. Yeah,
- 34:55Speaker 1: figure skating.
- 34:57Speaker 3: That was a doozy, man. Other birthdays today. Kelly. Be
- 35:04Speaker 3: still my heart. Kelly Preston would have been 64 today.
- 35:10Speaker 3: She died in 2020. Married to John Travolta for many years.
- 35:15Speaker 3: One of my 80s crushes, even to this day. Jerry Rice, 64.
- 35:23Speaker 3: One of the best to ever play wide receiver in
- 35:25Speaker 3: the NFL, unless you ask some idiot Gen Zers.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:32Speaker 1: They said he was a stat compiler. I'm like, eh, man.
- 35:39Speaker 2: It's like you ever hear the 80s and 90s basketball
- 35:44Speaker 2: players talk about who.
- 35:48Speaker 1: The greatest is. And they'll almost all go, it's not
- 35:53Speaker 1: even close. It's Jordan.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Yeah, easy.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Because another one people have said, don't realize how good
- 36:02Speaker 2: he was.
- 36:03Speaker 1: And Gen Zers say, oh, he was not one of
- 36:06Speaker 1: the greatest players. Larry Bird. And Larry Bird... Absolutely was cold.
- 36:12Speaker 1: You hear the guys talk about him.
- 36:14Speaker 2: And the thing I always love hearing the stories about
- 36:16Speaker 2: him is just all the shit he talked right.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Face to face. That's one of my favorite things hearing
- 36:21Speaker 3: about Larry Bird stories long after his career was over
- 36:24Speaker 3: was hearing how outstanding of a crap talker he was.
- 36:31Speaker 3: This supposedly podunk kid from French Lick, Indiana, talking trash
- 36:37Speaker 3: was some of the best in the world. And you
- 36:39Speaker 3: would never think it looked good at it.
- 36:42Speaker 2: And not only not, he's not just talking trash. He's
- 36:45Speaker 2: telling them either a, they suck, you know, B, they
- 36:49Speaker 2: can't guard him, but then.
- 36:50Speaker 1: See, he's telling him how he is going to score
- 36:52Speaker 1: on them.
- 36:53Speaker 3: And does it, that is next level. Uh, uh, proof
- 37:02Speaker 3: yet again, that, you know, that, we don't pre-read birthdays.
- 37:06Speaker 3: It just, some magical, funny things happen. The creator of
- 37:10Speaker 3: the X-Files, Chris Carter is 70 today. All right. Remember
- 37:17Speaker 3: earlier when I said that the prep service said today
- 37:20Speaker 3: is a mammoth birthday day inside the tree house. Already
- 37:23Speaker 3: been pretty solid, right? Cowboys owner and general manager, Jerry
- 37:29Speaker 3: Jones is 84 today.
- 37:35Speaker 1: You don't give Jerry this. He looks good for 84.
- 37:39Speaker 3: He's doing good, man. You know how they say if
- 37:45Speaker 3: you stop working, then the decline happens and you typically
- 37:49Speaker 3: die soon after? I'm sure that's part of what has
- 37:52Speaker 3: kept Jerry Jones going this many years. He's 84. He's
- 37:55Speaker 3: still very much involved in the daily everything of the
- 37:58Speaker 3: Dallas Cowboys, and that's probably what has prolonged his life.
- 38:04Speaker 3: At the same time, watching this Cowboys team this year
- 38:07Speaker 3: and even in other recent years, I'm surprised he hasn't
- 38:10Speaker 3: ended it yet.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I mean, it's very vampire-ish because it's extending his life
- 38:18Speaker 2: and yet it's taking, it's shortening the lives of millions
- 38:20Speaker 2: of people.
- 38:24Speaker 3: He's living off our blood and tears. Uh-huh. And that's
- 38:29Speaker 3: the ultimate thing though. It's like all, I mean, I give,
- 38:32Speaker 3: I give Jerry Jones credit on a few things, his
- 38:34Speaker 3: business acumen, things he's done for the NFL as a whole.
- 38:40Speaker 3: But at this point, the thing keeping him alive really
- 38:47Speaker 3: is striving to get one more Superbowl before he dies.
- 38:53Speaker 3: I do not question his passion and his objectives with
- 38:58Speaker 3: the team. I know that he wants the team to
- 39:01Speaker 3: win a Super Bowl just as badly as any of
- 39:04Speaker 3: us Cowboys fans do. The problem is we just disagree
- 39:07Speaker 3: with most of his strategies in order to get it done.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Well, the problem is there are two things.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Number one, what you said, and I said this will
- 39:16Speaker 2: always be the dichotomy of Jerry Jones. He will go
- 39:18Speaker 2: down as, I believe, the most influential owner of all time.
- 39:25Speaker 2: As far as he revolutionized The NFL. Naming rights, branding,
- 39:34Speaker 2: salary cap, all these things. I mean, he is, that's
- 39:39Speaker 2: all him. The NFL is a multi-billion dollar outfit now
- 39:44Speaker 2: in large part to Jerry Jones.
- 39:48Speaker 1: But he will go down as a pretty awful GM. Yeah.
- 39:56Speaker 2: And yes, I really do believe one of his main
- 40:02Speaker 2: drives to when he wants to win a Super Bowl
- 40:04Speaker 2: is just for the fact because, and rightfully so, the
- 40:08Speaker 2: three Super Bowls they won in the 90s, everyone will go, man,
- 40:10Speaker 2: it's Jimmy Johnson. And even though Jimmy wasn't there for
- 40:14Speaker 2: the last one, it still was a large part his team.
- 40:18Speaker 1: His coaching staff, his team.
- 40:22Speaker 3: And because he had molded all those players, they knew
- 40:24Speaker 3: how to do it despite Barry Switzer being the coach.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Well, and Jerry Jones even said in that press conference,
- 40:29Speaker 2: and I don't know if it's a direct quote, but
- 40:33Speaker 2: something to the effect of, I could hire a monkey
- 40:35Speaker 2: and he could win a Super Bowl with this team.
- 40:38Speaker 3: And it was kind of like a challenge accepted.
- 40:40Speaker 2: In fact, I'm going to do that now. And I
- 40:43Speaker 2: give you Barry Switzer. Do you feel restless and anxious?

- 42:04Speaker 3: he is Trey and neither one of us are ever
- 42:08Speaker 3: going to die inside of a tiger enclosure.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Not on purpose.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Not on purpose. Absolutely. It is never going to be.
- 42:17Speaker 3: If I die inside of a tiger enclosure, someone put
- 42:20Speaker 3: me there. It was against my will. The same cannot
- 42:25Speaker 3: be said for a man in the UK, who I
- 42:29Speaker 3: believe it was on Saturday, was mauled by a tiger
- 42:32Speaker 3: and killed. Let's hear more on this story from ABC
- 42:37Speaker 3: World News Tonight.
- 42:40Speaker 6: Overseas now to a terrifying incident in northern England, a
- 42:43Speaker 6: man was mauled to death after he entered a tiger's
- 42:46Speaker 6: enclosure at a wildlife park. That animal has not been euthanized.
- 42:50Speaker 6: And we warn you that some viewers may find this
- 42:52Speaker 6: video disturbing.
- 42:54Speaker 3: So before she throws it to the reporter for the
- 42:57Speaker 3: full package, there's a clip in this that shows the
- 43:02Speaker 3: tiger messing with the man. He's in the enclosure with it.
- 43:08Speaker 3: And then they don't show the rest of it after
- 43:09Speaker 3: that because obviously he dies and he can turn ugly
- 43:11Speaker 3: real fast. But it's the height of stupidity, which is
- 43:16Speaker 3: why we're talking about it here.
- 43:19Speaker 6: This is Rena Roy.
- 43:21Speaker 7: Tonight, a wildlife park in northern England is closed after
- 43:25Speaker 7: a deadly tiger attack. South Yorkshire police telling ABC News.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Now they're showing the video of this man in the
- 43:32Speaker 3: grass of this tiger enclosure, the tiger standing over him.
- 43:36Speaker 3: And it's clawing at his legs. And then he points
- 43:38Speaker 3: at the tiger as if to say, no, no, stop it.
- 43:42Speaker 3: The only thing he's missing is a rolled up newspaper.
- 43:44Speaker 1: No, he's starting to go, bad kitty.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it is bad kitty. And you're about to find out.
- 43:50Speaker 3: I bet a million dollars that I do not have
- 43:53Speaker 3: that that finger in the face of the tiger was
- 43:56Speaker 3: the first thing to go.
- 44:03Speaker 7: Entered a tiger enclosure Saturday afternoon. The tiger attacking the man,
- 44:07Speaker 7: leaving him seriously injured.
- 44:10Speaker 3: This is amazing, because at one point, as the tiger's
- 44:12Speaker 3: pawing at him, and the guy says, no, bad kitty,
- 44:14Speaker 3: bad kitty, the tiger looks around, almost like looking at
- 44:17Speaker 3: the other tigers, like, do you see this idiot here?
- 44:20Speaker 3: What is this guy doing? I'm just going to eat him.
- 44:26Speaker 1: I just... I know people are stupid, but.
- 44:33Speaker 3: I don't.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Know if anything's come out, if this was like a
- 44:39Speaker 2: suicide by tiger. Because they're literally probably the apex predator.
- 44:47Speaker 2: I mean, they are just incredible hunting machines and incredible.
- 44:52Speaker 2: They're so strong and that they can jump so high
- 44:54Speaker 2: and everything else. How did you think it was your food?
- 45:00Speaker 3: I don't think that this was suicide by tiger because
- 45:06Speaker 3: there's some other mental issue going on clearly, but the
- 45:10Speaker 3: fact that he's like pointing his finger at it and
- 45:13Speaker 3: telling it, no, we're telling it. Don't do that. Tells
- 45:18Speaker 3: me that it's like, I don't know if he thinks
- 45:20Speaker 3: it's a house cat or something and he's just messed up,
- 45:23Speaker 3: but he's, he's telling it. Don't do that. Right. So
- 45:26Speaker 3: I don't think he necessarily wanted the tiger to kill him.
- 45:28Speaker 3: If he's telling it, don't do that. You're being bad
- 45:30Speaker 3: by clawing me. To me, if you want suicide by tiger,
- 45:35Speaker 3: then you cover yourself in meat. Then you jump into
- 45:40Speaker 3: the enclosure. That's how you make sure that you end
- 45:43Speaker 3: up as food for the tiger, as opposed to going
- 45:46Speaker 3: in there and wagging your finger at it.
- 45:50Speaker 1: I think either way, you're food for tiger.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Yeah, but one is definitely going to probably happen faster.
- 45:58Speaker 3: All right, let's go back to England.
- 46:01Speaker 7: Emergency crews rushing to the scene, including two ambulances and
- 46:06Speaker 7: an air ambulance. Despite efforts to save him, the man
- 46:09Speaker 7: was pronounced dead at the scene. The park known for
- 46:12Speaker 7: its two acre reserve for endangered Amur tigers, allowing visitors
- 46:17Speaker 7: to watch from a raised walkway. Investigators working to determine
- 46:21Speaker 7: exactly what happened. Authorities say the tiger was not injured
- 46:24Speaker 7: and remained inside its enclosure with no threat to the public.
- 46:29Speaker 3: But we're not really, we don't really know what happened.
- 46:33Speaker 3: Mango in tiger enclosure, tiger kill band. What happened? Yeah,
- 46:38Speaker 3: that's tiger things.
- 46:42Speaker 1: He died on the scene.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you've seen the tigers playing with balls
- 46:47Speaker 2: and stuff. They were probably batting around his head like
- 46:49Speaker 2: it was a beach ball. I know.
- 46:53Speaker 3: It's like a community surprise that tiger kills man. Meanwhile,
- 46:57Speaker 3: tiger's like, what'd you expect, man? I'm a fucking tiger.
- 47:04Speaker 1: They don't feed me enough. I'm hungry.
- 47:07Speaker 3: Thank you for throwing me this man. A little bit more.
- 47:14Speaker 7: Lindsay Park officials say staff members were deeply affected by
- 47:18Speaker 7: the incident and have gotten specialist support.
- 47:21Speaker 2: As for the tiger, they.
- 47:22Speaker 7: Say he is safe and will not be euthanized.
- 47:26Speaker 3: That's my favorite. That is my favorite part of the story.
- 47:29Speaker 3: It is not the tiger's fault for doing tiger things.
- 47:33Speaker 3: That tiger should not be put down for killing a
- 47:36Speaker 3: man that invaded its territory.
- 47:40Speaker 2: No. There was another story where a guy jumps into
- 47:46Speaker 2: or something happened, but someone got into an enclosure and
- 47:49Speaker 2: I forgot what the animal was.
- 47:51Speaker 1: And there was a big discussion. It's like, OK, he's
- 47:53Speaker 1: not going to be euthanized.
- 47:55Speaker 2: You can't fault. You cannot fault an animal for doing
- 47:58Speaker 2: what animal is supposed to do.
- 47:59Speaker 1: Yeah. What animal does naturally kills your tiger.
- 48:07Speaker 3: The difference was on this day, his food wiggled a
- 48:10Speaker 3: lot more than he was used to.
- 48:13Speaker 2: I mean, even if he's named Tony. He's still going
- 48:17Speaker 2: to kill you.
- 48:25Speaker 1: And he's going to go, you're great. Yeah.
- 48:30Speaker 3: Part of this complete breakfast. Oh, man, that does it
- 48:36Speaker 3: for this episode of The Treehouse. Thanks for hanging out
