Barnhizer’s Qualifying Offer Explained | Oklahoma City Thunder News
OKC Thunder extend a qualifying offer to Brooks Barnhizer, turning him into a restricted free agent and keeping their options open as they build for next season. Drafted 44th in 2025, Barnhizer dazzled in the G League with 18.1 PPG, nearly 10 RPG, and elite shooting splits — but struggled to translate that into NBA minutes, averaging just 1.7 PPG in limited time. With two-way contracts central to their roster strategy — already signed to Josh Dix and expected to add Otega Oweh — this move signals Thunder’s commitment to developing depth and finding hidden gems.
