Frédéric Fekkai Accused in New Lawsuit of Grooming Women for Jeffrey Epstein (9/3/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. A couple of days ago, Thomas Massey decided
• 0:08
Speaker 1: to get up on the congressional floor and read 14
• 0:12
Speaker 1: names into the record. And one of those names was
• 0:16
Speaker 1: Frederick Fakai. And that's a name that we've heard for years.
• 0:20
Speaker 1: Multiple survivors have described being sent to Frederick Fakai for
• 0:26
Speaker 1: specialized hairstyling. So they'd go to the salon and they'd
• 0:32
Speaker 1: have to get their hair cut the way that Epstein
• 0:35
Speaker 1: wanted them to get their hair cut. And of course,
• 0:37
Speaker 1: that's just another part of the control. Just another part
• 0:40
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein showing that he's in charge. But when
• 0:45
Speaker 1: it comes to Frederick Fakai, there's nothing illegal about that, right?
• 0:49
Speaker 1: A guy can be involved in giving people haircuts and
• 0:52
Speaker 1: not know anything about the abuse. But that's not where
• 0:55
Speaker 1: it ends with Frederick Fakai. According to the new lawsuit,
• 1:01
Speaker 1: he also participated in grooming the women for Jeffrey Epstein.
• 1:05
Speaker 1: And according to multiple survivors, Mr. Fakai knew exactly what
• 1:10
Speaker 1: was going on. And then you add to that the
• 1:13
Speaker 1: allegations made by Sarah Kellen Vickers. And even though I
• 1:17
Speaker 1: find her to be reprehensible, she can inhabit two places
• 1:21
Speaker 1: at once, right? Somebody that was abused and somebody that
• 1:25
Speaker 1: was an abuser. Now, because she was abused, That doesn't
• 1:29
Speaker 1: mean that she gets off the hook for what she did.
• 1:33
Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean that we're not going to look
• 1:35
Speaker 1: into people like Frederick Fakai for taking advantage of her either.
• 1:41
Speaker 1: Because at the end of the day, people like Frederick
• 1:44
Speaker 1: Fakai and the people that were around Epstein that were
• 1:47
Speaker 1: allegedly taking part in the abuse, those are the most
• 1:50
Speaker 1: reprehensible motherfuckers in the whole saga. Now, I won't sit
• 1:55
Speaker 1: here and tell you that it was as widespread as
• 1:57
Speaker 1: some people will. Because I don't believe it was. I
• 2:01
Speaker 1: think that Jeffrey Epstein used this part of his operation
• 2:04
Speaker 1: for special cases. People that he really wanted to lock in.
• 2:10
Speaker 1: But most people that came to Jeffrey Epstein's house, most
• 2:13
Speaker 1: people that associated with him, they weren't taking part in
• 2:16
Speaker 1: the abuse directly. Now that doesn't mean they weren't conspiring, however.
• 2:21
Speaker 1: Because if they were taking money, if they knew, if
• 2:23
Speaker 1: they were enabling him, congratulations, you're part of the criminal conspiracy.
• 2:28
Speaker 1: But the thing is, they never charged him with that
• 2:31
Speaker 1: kind of criminal conspiracy. And this is why. Because if
• 2:35
Speaker 1: they did, everybody else would have had to been charged too.
• 2:38
Speaker 1: Everybody else would have been under the microscope. And they
• 2:41
Speaker 1: wouldn't be able to control that blast radius that we
• 2:43
Speaker 1: always talk about. And that's always been the goal. Keep
• 2:48
Speaker 1: this contained. Don't let it expand. And don't look at
• 2:51
Speaker 1: anybody else that might have been involved. Pin it on
• 2:54
Speaker 1: Epstein and Maxwell and keep it moving. So today, we
• 2:58
Speaker 1: have an article from the International Business Times, and the headline,
• 3:03
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein Celebrity Hairstylist Frederick Fokai Accused of Bleaching Girls
• 3:08
Speaker 1: Blonde and Grooming Them Like Dolls. Well, that's not disturbing
• 3:13
Speaker 1: or anything, huh? This article was authored by Christelle May Napiza.
• 3:21
Speaker 1: Seven women have sued celebrity hairstylist Frederick Fokai, alleging that
• 3:25
Speaker 1: he participated in in grooming them for Jeffrey Epstein, including,
• 3:29
Speaker 1: according to the complaint, bleaching their hair blonde at Epstein's
• 3:32
Speaker 1: direction and styling them like dolls to suit the disgraced
• 3:36
Speaker 1: financier's preferences. Now, you know that Frederick Fakai, he's going
• 3:40
Speaker 1: to say he had no idea what was going on.
• 3:43
Speaker 1: And he thought he was just, you know, providing haircuts, colorings,
• 3:47
Speaker 1: and the rest of it for these girls. Epstein's assistants.
• 3:50
Speaker 1: He didn't know anybody was being abused. Nobody came to
• 3:53
Speaker 1: him and said, hey, look, we're being assaulted. We need
• 3:56
Speaker 1: your help. That's going to be what he says, right?
• 4:00
Speaker 1: But that's not going to work out so well for him.
• 4:03
Speaker 1: Especially considering Sarah Kellen Vickers has accused him in front
• 4:07
Speaker 1: of Congress of the same kind of shit. Even worse, actually.
• 4:13
Speaker 1: So when it comes to Frederick Fakai, we're not talking
• 4:16
Speaker 1: about just a couple of survivors here who have accused him.
• 4:19
Speaker 1: We're talking about Sarah Kellen Vickers as well. So I
• 4:23
Speaker 1: think that the shit is real deep for Frederick Fakai.
• 4:26
Speaker 1: And I have a hard time believing that he's not
• 4:29
Speaker 1: going to be indicted. I mean, there's a lot of
• 4:33
Speaker 1: evidence here. A whole lot of it. And keep in mind,
• 4:37
Speaker 1: a lot of this stuff with Fakai happened in New York.
• 4:39
Speaker 1: So they can go after him at the state level.
• 4:42
Speaker 1: The question is, will they? The lawsuit lands amid renewed
• 4:48
Speaker 1: congressional scrutiny of Epstein's associates and follows separate allegations that
• 4:52
Speaker 1: Fakai sexually assaulted one of Epstein's former aides. and it
• 4:56
Speaker 1: just builds on top of it. And when you're being accused,
• 5:00
Speaker 1: like Frederick Fakai, of grooming, and then on top of that,
• 5:04
Speaker 1: you have somebody saying you actually took part in the abuse?
• 5:07
Speaker 1: Not exactly what I would call tenable ground. According to
• 5:11
Speaker 1: the complaint obtained by both Courthouse News Service and TMZ,
• 5:15
Speaker 1: Epstein routinely directed Fakai to alter the woman's appearance to
• 5:19
Speaker 1: his taste. Epstein would direct Fakai to bleach victims blonde
• 5:23
Speaker 1: and groom them like dolls, And to Epstein and others
• 5:26
Speaker 1: liking the filing states. And this is something that we've
• 5:29
Speaker 1: known for a long time. This isn't something that just
• 5:32
Speaker 1: popped up. We were hearing this from a lot of
• 5:35
Speaker 1: people who were around Epstein. I mean, from Virginia to Maria,
• 5:42
Speaker 1: you name it. And they all said the same thing
• 5:44
Speaker 1: about Frederick Fakai. That everything that happened in that shop
• 5:48
Speaker 1: was creepy as fuck. The suing women say Fakai groomed
• 5:53
Speaker 1: the victims to look as young as possible under Epstein's direction.
• 5:58
Speaker 1: They allege Epstein frequently brought groups of young women into
• 6:01
Speaker 1: the salon and had them sit on his lap and
• 6:03
Speaker 1: stroke his hair while services were carried out. Five of
• 6:07
Speaker 1: the seven plaintiffs are proceeding anonymously, and that's going to
• 6:11
Speaker 1: be a battle too. They have to petition the court
• 6:15
Speaker 1: to proceed anonymously, and then the court will apply a
• 6:17
Speaker 1: three-step method to find out if they meet the parameters
• 6:21
Speaker 1: of To file this motion anonymously. And during the first
• 6:26
Speaker 1: go around. There was a lot of women. Who ended
• 6:29
Speaker 1: up filing anonymously. Of course. That ended up not working
• 6:33
Speaker 1: out so well for them. Considering most of them were outed.
• 6:37
Speaker 1: By the DOJ. In the Epstein files release. So I'm
• 6:41
Speaker 1: not too sure if it's going to work out. As
• 6:44
Speaker 1: far as trying to move forward anonymously. My guess is
• 6:48
Speaker 1: the judge is going to unmask them at some point.
• 6:50
Speaker 1: But as of now. a few of these survivors are
• 6:54
Speaker 1: moving forward under that anonymous tag. The two name claimants
• 6:58
Speaker 1: are Kirstie Ferguson, a former model, who alleges Epstein committed
• 7:01
Speaker 1: gender-motivated violence against her for two decades, beginning when she
• 7:06
Speaker 1: was around 16. And Audra Christensen, a former Playboy playmate,
• 7:10
Speaker 1: who has separately claimed she alerted the FBI to Epstein's
• 7:13
Speaker 1: conduct as early as 2005. And remember, she was the
• 7:17
Speaker 1: woman who allegedly went to Hugh Hefner to try and
• 7:21
Speaker 1: get some help when it comes to Epstein. And we
• 7:23
Speaker 1: know how that turned out. The women are suing under
• 7:26
Speaker 1: the New York Gender Motivated Violence Act, legislation that extends
• 7:30
Speaker 1: the statute of limitations for survivors of gender-based violence, allowing
• 7:35
Speaker 1: claims that would otherwise be time-barred to proceed. Their complaint
• 7:40
Speaker 1: states that Fakai and his salon operated as a network
• 7:43
Speaker 1: to manipulate, coerce, and commit acts of gender-motivated violence against
• 7:47
Speaker 1: young women and girls, and that Fakai... enabled Epstein to
• 7:51
Speaker 1: build a vast and sophisticated sex trafficking operation. The lawsuit
• 7:55
Speaker 1: draws a direct line between Epstein's patronage and Fakai's commercial rise.
• 8:01
Speaker 1: The plaintiffs claim that Epstein's connections helped place Fakai's hair
• 8:04
Speaker 1: care line in retailers including Victoria's Secret, then owned by
• 8:09
Speaker 1: Epstein associate, Les Wexner. Without Epstein, Fakai Brands would not
• 8:14
Speaker 1: have grown into the billion-dollar brand, the complaint alleges. Look.
• 8:18
Speaker 1: That's something that the court's going to have to figure out.
• 8:22
Speaker 1: And the jury is going to have to decide how
• 8:25
Speaker 1: strong those allegations are and just how much nepotism, if
• 8:29
Speaker 1: you will, Epstein used to get Fakai's product into those places.
• 8:35
Speaker 1: And that'll be a whole different fight unto itself. In return,
• 8:41
Speaker 1: the women argue, without Fakai, Epstein would not have been
• 8:44
Speaker 1: able to control and commit gender-motivated violence against the victims.
• 8:48
Speaker 1: They further claim the U.S. Department of Justice released the
• 8:51
Speaker 1: so-called Epstein files, included more than 3,000 documents and emails
• 8:56
Speaker 1: connected to Fakai Salon. That's true. Here's the biggest problem.
• 9:01
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was never charged with RICO. And I don't
• 9:05
Speaker 1: know how many times I have to say it. I
• 9:07
Speaker 1: guess until I'm blue in the goddamn face. You still
• 9:10
Speaker 1: have people out here that don't get it, that don't understand.
• 9:15
Speaker 1: And that's all part of the cover-up, right? Not everything's
• 9:17
Speaker 1: going to be brazen. Not everything's going to be shoved
• 9:20
Speaker 1: in your face like the Glenn Maxwell transfer. A lot
• 9:22
Speaker 1: of times the signs are subtle. And you have to
• 9:26
Speaker 1: read between the lines to figure out what's what. But
• 9:30
Speaker 1: a case like this? There's nobody on this planet that
• 9:34
Speaker 1: can convince me that this shouldn't be Rico. Sorry. A
• 9:39
Speaker 1: representative for Fakai did not immediately respond to a request
• 9:42
Speaker 1: for comment when approached by Courthouse News. And I have
• 9:45
Speaker 1: the actual lawsuit. So we'll get to that as well.
• 9:48
Speaker 1: But we're still working on the Jess Staley transcript. And
• 9:51
Speaker 1: as soon as that's done, we'll get this bad boy
• 9:54
Speaker 1: added to the catalog too. That way all of you
• 9:56
Speaker 1: can hear what's going on word for word. Because remember...
• 9:59
Speaker 1: the whole point of going through those court documents is
• 10:02
Speaker 1: to cut out the middleman. We don't need the media
• 10:04
Speaker 1: to tell us what's going on if we have the
• 10:06
Speaker 1: court documents ourselves. And then from there, if we don't
• 10:09
Speaker 1: understand something, we can seek out the proper legal channels
• 10:12
Speaker 1: to try and figure out what's what. But there's way
• 10:15
Speaker 1: too much spin. People want to interpret what those court
• 10:18
Speaker 1: documents say before they even tell people what the court
• 10:21
Speaker 1: documents are. Tuesday's filing is not the first time Fakai's
• 10:26
Speaker 1: name has surfaced in connection with Epstein. In May of 2026,
• 10:30
Speaker 1: during a closed-door interview with House Republicans, Epstein's former aide
• 10:35
Speaker 1: Sarah Kellan reportedly accused Fakai of sexually assaulting her in
• 10:39
Speaker 1: the early 2000s, according to reporting by CNN. Fakai denied
• 10:45
Speaker 1: any wrongdoing. A media representative told CNN at the time,
• 10:49
Speaker 1: that he was astonished by Kellen's testimony, and maintained, he
• 10:52
Speaker 1: did nothing wrong. No, no, nothing to see here. I
• 10:55
Speaker 1: didn't do anything wrong. And look, I'm not going to
• 10:58
Speaker 1: tell you that Sarah Kellen Vicker should just be believed,
• 11:01
Speaker 1: but I have a funny feeling she's not lying about this.
• 11:04
Speaker 1: The civil suit also arrived a day after U.S. Representative
• 11:07
Speaker 1: Thomas Massey, a Kentucky Republican, publicly named 14 alleged Epstein
• 11:11
Speaker 1: associates he believed should be investigated and prosecuted, including Fakai.
• 11:17
Speaker 1: Massey has said he's continuing to gather signatures for a
• 11:20
Speaker 1: petition intended to force a floor vote on the Epstein-Files
• 11:24
Speaker 1: Transparency Act 2. Boy, that would be nice. I just
• 11:27
Speaker 1: don't see it happening. And maybe that's just me being cynical,
• 11:32
Speaker 1: but the way that Donald Trump attacked the Republicans who
• 11:36
Speaker 1: signed the first one, why would any of these other
• 11:38
Speaker 1: Republicans begin to play ball? Fakai, a French-born stylist, built
• 11:45
Speaker 1: his reputation... styling A-list clients before selling his salon business
• 11:49
Speaker 1: and expanding into a global hair care brand. His alleged
• 11:53
Speaker 1: ties to Epstein date back further still. He was named
• 11:56
Speaker 1: during a 2016 deposition connected to Epstein litigation in which
• 12:00
Speaker 1: it was alleged Epstein had once offered to look for
• 12:03
Speaker 1: girls for him while both men were in Hawaii. Oh,
• 12:07
Speaker 1: there's no doubt. Look, this guy has been connected to
• 12:09
Speaker 1: Epstein for a very long time. And now the general
• 12:13
Speaker 1: public's learning his name. but our first episode about Freddie
• 12:16
Speaker 1: Fakai was all the way back in 2022. So this
• 12:21
Speaker 1: isn't new, but it's now accelerating. And now, it's actually
• 12:26
Speaker 1: in the court system. None of the new allegations in
• 12:29
Speaker 1: the complaint have been tested in court, and Fakai has
• 12:32
Speaker 1: not yet filled or filed a formal response. The case
• 12:36
Speaker 1: is the latest civil action to test how far New
• 12:39
Speaker 1: York's Gender-Motivated Violence Act can reach into Epstein's wider network
• 12:43
Speaker 1: of enablers, And it now awaits Fakai's response in New
• 12:46
Speaker 1: York Supreme Court. Well, I'm awaiting the response too. I'd
• 12:50
Speaker 1: love to see what Fakai has to say for himself.
• 12:52
Speaker 1: But if history is any guide, then whatever he says
• 12:56
Speaker 1: is going to be absolutely ridiculous. So when we get
• 12:59
Speaker 1: that response, we'll get that added to the catalog as well.
• 13:03
Speaker 1: And like I said earlier, when we're done with Jess Daly,
• 13:06
Speaker 1: we'll dive into this lawsuit and we'll get that added
• 13:08
Speaker 1: to the catalog. Until then, that's going to do it
• 13:11
Speaker 1: for this one. All the information that goes with this
• 13:14
Speaker 1: episode can be found in the description box.
