- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied the Bench.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Our two of Off the Bench live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Kine Studio.
- 1:22Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in It is OTV here on

- 1:42Speaker 3: I say that confidently nobody does Black Widow better than
- 1:45Speaker 3: buy you Automotive, Buy You Automotive dot Com. All right,
- 1:48Speaker 3: so we did start to talk about the trade that
- 1:51Speaker 3: saw Dexter Lawrence, defensive tackle go from the New York
- 1:56Speaker 3: Football Giants to the Cincinnati Bengals. And this was straight
- 2:00Speaker 3: up for the tenth overall pick.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Not a lot of straight up trades out there.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Not a lot, certainly not a player for a top
- 2:07Speaker 4: ten pick.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Typically there's some land yap, there's something else that's you know,
- 2:11Speaker 3: involved in there.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Nope, this is one for to one.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Now Dexter Lawrence again he didn't play like even though
- 2:17Speaker 3: his name, his nickname is sexy dexy, Like that's his
- 2:20Speaker 3: whole deal.
- 2:21Speaker 4: It's not a sexy position.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Okay, two times second team All Pro in twenty two
- 2:27Speaker 3: to twenty three.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Pro Bowls don't matter. Everybody makes Pro Bowl.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Really good player, one of the better ones at his position.
- 2:40Speaker 3: He you know, has a proven track record of being
- 2:42Speaker 3: able to get pressure from the interior. We always talk
- 2:44Speaker 3: about that here, he's got to see he's got a
- 2:46Speaker 3: season under his belt where he had nine sacks from
- 2:48Speaker 3: the interior. He's got a seven and a half sax
- 2:51Speaker 3: season as well. Now, last season he had half a sack.
- 2:57Speaker 3: He started all seventeen games and had half a sack. Now,
- 3:01Speaker 3: the year before in twenty twenty four, he started twelve
- 3:04Speaker 3: games when he had those nine sacks. He only played
- 3:06Speaker 3: twelve had nine sacks. That's incredible production from the interior.
- 3:11Speaker 3: So this is someone that has thirty and a half
- 3:14Speaker 3: career sacks from the interior. That's not easy to do.
- 3:17Speaker 3: But he's coming off his worst season as a pro.
- 3:20Speaker 3: As far as getting after the quarterback. The Bengals have
- 3:23Speaker 3: more issues in vogue on defense. They have to have
- 3:26Speaker 3: some help there's.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Some people.
- 3:31Speaker 3: That you know, maybe he thought that they would go
- 3:34Speaker 3: defense pretty much first three rounds of the draft, so
- 3:37Speaker 3: they needed to go get an impact guy. I know
- 3:42Speaker 3: a lot of Giant fans. Every producer I have on
- 3:45Speaker 3: My Serious XIM show is a Giants fan. They live
- 3:47Speaker 3: in New York. And when the trade happened, I was like, Hey,
- 3:51Speaker 3: how are we feeling. They're like, we thought a second
- 3:54Speaker 3: round pick was going to be incredible for Dex Lawrence.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Not that he wasn't a great player, but for a
- 3:58Speaker 3: veteran player at a position that is non premium.
- 4:02Speaker 4: That's kind of what you expect if you get.
- 4:03Speaker 3: A second round pick for a detackle that you've gotten,
- 4:06Speaker 3: you know, seven seasons out of hell. Yeah, they got
- 4:09Speaker 3: the tenth overall pick, and I I look, I do
- 4:12Speaker 3: I understand Cincinnati being like, we gotta do something, and
- 4:15Speaker 3: we got to get something proven.
- 4:17Speaker 4: We can't.
- 4:18Speaker 3: They've missed a lot, they missed last year on their
- 4:20Speaker 3: first round pick, so they wanted something proven.
- 4:24Speaker 4: But it's pretty It's.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Interesting to me, like the way people view trades and
- 4:30Speaker 2: formulate their opinions on them, Like the way you just
- 4:35Speaker 2: put that about Giants fans saying if we could get
- 4:39Speaker 2: a second round a guy that we've already got seven
- 4:41Speaker 2: years out of. Like, that's an interesting way to look
- 4:44Speaker 2: at look at it for me because I'm trying to
- 4:46Speaker 2: look at this and make sense of it from both sides.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Always look at trades, I'm like, I gotta find the
- 4:52Speaker 2: positive for both sides, because there's a reason why each
- 4:55Speaker 2: side did it. Of course, the for the Giants, it's obvious,
- 4:58Speaker 2: you get it. You get it ten overall pick. Now
- 5:01Speaker 2: you're you're picking twice in the top ten. Obviously that
- 5:05Speaker 2: makes sense. I'm trying to make sense of it from
- 5:07Speaker 2: the Bengals standpoint, and the way I look at trades
- 5:12Speaker 2: is I can make sense of it because if you're
- 5:15Speaker 2: picking ten, you know Dexter Lawrence is a top two
- 5:18Speaker 2: player at his position. Like, if I can guarantee myself
- 5:22Speaker 2: with a top ten pick to get a top guy
- 5:25Speaker 2: at any position in the NFL, I'm taking it like
- 5:29Speaker 2: that's if I can get a guaranteed pick, because every
- 5:32Speaker 2: no matter how good you are or how of a
- 5:35Speaker 2: can't miss prospect you are, you can definitely miss, and
- 5:40Speaker 2: more often than not, first rounders do miss, and maybe
- 5:44Speaker 2: they don't miss in the fact that they're like a
- 5:45Speaker 2: bust and they never play. But they never live up
- 5:48Speaker 2: to the draft position. Like the expectation that comes with
- 5:52Speaker 2: that certain that that one that top ten pick or
- 5:55Speaker 2: number five pick or number thirteen, whatever, whatever expectation comes
- 5:59Speaker 2: with that number pick, don't live up to it. So
- 6:02Speaker 2: if you can get a guy immediately, awesome, Like the
- 6:07Speaker 2: Bengals probably looking at it, Okay, well, we we're gonna
- 6:10Speaker 2: go with the with the tenth pick, We're gonna go
- 6:13Speaker 2: defensive line. We just lost Trey Henderson. We have to
- 6:15Speaker 2: have we have to have somebody step in immediately. If
- 6:19Speaker 2: we can hit somebody a prospect that's as good as
- 6:21Speaker 2: Dexter Lawrence, that would be a win. They're like, well,
- 6:24Speaker 2: why don't we just use the pick and get Dexter Lawrence?
- 6:27Speaker 4: Right? Like, to me, that is a sound mindset to
- 6:31Speaker 4: go with. Now, Now, the.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Way you looked at it is a sound like we've
- 6:35Speaker 2: already gotten seven. If we get anything, it's a win.
- 6:39Speaker 2: But why not look forward, like we can get four
- 6:42Speaker 2: more years out of this guy. We can get five
- 6:44Speaker 2: contract for two more years with the Giants. Right, they
- 6:47Speaker 2: signed another year extension for the Bengals. But I looked
- 6:52Speaker 2: at it, and I was trying to my immediate knee
- 6:54Speaker 2: jok reaction is like, what the hell are the Bengals thinking?
- 6:58Speaker 4: But now I'm looking at it and I think I
- 7:00Speaker 4: think both sides get what they want.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I actually can see a world where it makes sense.
- 7:05Speaker 3: And I was just like you initially, I'm like, man,
- 7:08Speaker 3: did the Bengals get fleeced a little bit here? Because
- 7:10Speaker 3: like number ten, it's number ten. And you also made
- 7:13Speaker 3: a good point during the break, they might have believed
- 7:16Speaker 3: that all the guys that they were targeting, and we've
- 7:18Speaker 3: talked about that run of seven to twelve all having
- 7:21Speaker 3: the same needs, and they might be hearing stuff like, hey, guys,
- 7:24Speaker 3: we're not going to get the guy that we want.
- 7:25Speaker 2: And if you start looking at let's just see what
- 7:27Speaker 2: a GM and a scouting staff is going to do.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Let's rank this draft class, which we know that it
- 7:33Speaker 2: is a lower tier draft.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Class as a whole. You have some upres pal, yeah.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Up top, you got some some Jews, Yeah you do.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Mid the middle portion of the first round doesn't have
- 7:46Speaker 3: high grades.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And so they're doing their own mock drafts, right, every team,
- 7:49Speaker 2: like who do we think is going is actually going
- 7:51Speaker 2: to be available for the people they they're saying who's
- 7:55Speaker 2: actually available, they're probably like, well, do we value him
- 7:58Speaker 2: or Dexter Lawrence more?
- 8:00Speaker 4: Right? And to me, that's an easy pick. It's the
- 8:02Speaker 4: week of the draft.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Basically, they just drafted Dexter Lawrence with the tenth overall pick, yep,
- 8:08Speaker 2: and they're happy with that. So I can get behind
- 8:11Speaker 2: this draft pick. Like, again, I think the knee jerk
- 8:13Speaker 2: correction for everybody's like, oh, top ten pick, those are
- 8:16Speaker 2: like those are holy, You're only giving that up for
- 8:21Speaker 2: I don't know, the best player in the entire world.
- 8:23Speaker 2: For Tom Brady, that's the only person you'd ever give
- 8:25Speaker 2: a top top ten pick for in a straight up trade.
- 8:28Speaker 2: But look, it's the week of the draft and basically
- 8:31Speaker 2: what the Bengals just did was draft Dexter Lawrence.
- 8:34Speaker 3: So a couple of trades. I was trying to think, like,
- 8:37Speaker 3: have we had something similar to this now? Again, like
- 8:41Speaker 3: this is going to be for some edge rushers, So
- 8:43Speaker 3: not one and one with the defensive tackle, even though
- 8:45Speaker 3: Dexter Lawrence does have incredible rush ability. In two thousand
- 8:49Speaker 3: and eight, so our rookie year, Minnesota got Jared Allen
- 8:53Speaker 3: from Kansas City, Kansas City received the first round pick
- 8:59Speaker 3: for Minnesota seventeen third round pick, actually two third round
- 9:03Speaker 3: picks that year, so a first two thirds, and then
- 9:06Speaker 3: a sixth round pick in two thousand and nine, so
- 9:09Speaker 3: they got seventeen, two third round picks and a sixth
- 9:12Speaker 3: round pick for Jared Allen. Whoa, that's a hal Khalil
- 9:16Speaker 3: Mack when he went to the Bears from the Raiders.
- 9:23Speaker 3: The Bears got Khalil Mack, a twenty twenty second round pick,
- 9:26Speaker 3: and a conditional fifth round pick. The Raiders got two
- 9:30Speaker 3: first round picks, a third round pick, and a sixth
- 9:33Speaker 3: round pick, so they got four picks for Mack and
- 9:37Speaker 3: a second rounder.
- 9:39Speaker 2: So that's really rare. You see a straight up, That's
- 9:42Speaker 2: what I'm saying. There's always little lettuce on it.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Jalen Ramsey the Rams received Jalen Ramsey. Jacksonville received two
- 9:49Speaker 3: first round picks in a fourth round Richard Seymour the
- 9:53Speaker 3: Raiders received Seymour. This is the one where it was
- 9:56Speaker 3: kind of one on one. The Patriots received their first
- 9:59Speaker 3: round pick in twenty eleven. That's the only kind of
- 10:02Speaker 3: straight up that I could find where it was like, okay,
- 10:05Speaker 3: you get a first round pick, we get your defensive player,
- 10:07Speaker 3: and that was for a defensive tackle as well. Richard
- 10:10Speaker 3: Seymour HM. That's going all the way back to twenty eleven.
- 10:17Speaker 3: So it doesn't happen often. It certainly doesn't happen very
- 10:19Speaker 3: often where it's just one for one. Now, what's the
- 10:27Speaker 3: Giants plans with now?
- 10:30Speaker 4: Five?
- 10:30Speaker 2: And tender can tell you?
- 10:34Speaker 4: Can I just you and Kate McDonald.
- 10:37Speaker 2: He's going to the Giants.
- 10:41Speaker 4: That's what's going to be.
- 10:42Speaker 2: What's going to be.
- 10:43Speaker 4: I don't know. It's interesting for the Giants.
- 10:46Speaker 3: I don't know, Like obviously, like he was a player
- 10:49Speaker 3: who wasn't happy, he wanted a trade.
- 10:51Speaker 4: You get the tenth overall pick, you do it, like now.
- 10:55Speaker 2: It's like a you don't even think about it type deal.
- 10:58Speaker 3: But I felt like they were gonna get a hell
- 11:00Speaker 3: of a player at five because of what their needs
- 11:03Speaker 3: are and what's going to be selected in front of them,
- 11:06Speaker 3: Like they don't need a quarterback, they don't need a
- 11:08Speaker 3: running back. I believe that a quarterback at a running
- 11:10Speaker 3: back we're going to go ahead of them at five.
- 11:14Speaker 4: So now, how we don't really love the receivers in
- 11:17Speaker 4: this draft.
- 11:18Speaker 3: In the top ten but because it's their second pick,
- 11:22Speaker 3: I would fully be ready for them to maybe even
- 11:24Speaker 3: explore a receiver.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Right and you don't even really know what they're going
- 11:27Speaker 2: to try to do. Maybe maybe they're trying to deal
- 11:30Speaker 2: with fifth. They could and move back and take their
- 11:33Speaker 2: receiver later in the first because that fifth we talked
- 11:36Speaker 2: about with the Saints, how that eighth pick is valuable. Yeah, maybe,
- 11:39Speaker 2: my god, that fifth pick. Certainly, if if Jeremi i
- 11:43Speaker 2: Love is there, I always think.
- 11:45Speaker 3: But I kind of think if if Mendoza and Love
- 11:48Speaker 3: go and let's say, for whatever reason, David Baylor rvel
- 11:52Speaker 3: Reese kind of starts to slide, Hey.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Dallas, like that fifth pick is how much do you
- 11:58Speaker 5: want real juicy you have as your best edge rusher, right, yeah,
- 12:03Speaker 5: you give me twelve in your second round, or you
- 12:05Speaker 5: can have five.
- 12:05Speaker 2: So I think if they get lucky, if they trade
- 12:07Speaker 2: the fifth, they can still take their defensive tackle Launder
- 12:09Speaker 2: at ten. Probably might be able to snag them up,
- 12:12Speaker 2: scoop them up right there.
- 12:14Speaker 6: I feel like that's what's gonna happen.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Like, if they do want to add a receiver or
- 12:19Speaker 2: defensive end or whatever it is, we've you can move
- 12:23Speaker 2: back plenty. That fifth pick is going to be I
- 12:28Speaker 2: mean this, that trade could end up being real good
- 12:33Speaker 2: for the Giants if they play their cards right, if
- 12:35Speaker 2: they find suitors for that pick, or maybe they just
- 12:37Speaker 2: have two guys that they've already eyeballed. They're like, hey,
- 12:40Speaker 2: we think so and so one of two players is
- 12:43Speaker 2: going to at least fall to ten and we'll be
- 12:44Speaker 2: able to scoop up two great defensive play.
- 12:46Speaker 4: What if you get Sunny Styles and Kalmons b I
- 12:52Speaker 4: pretty good and then of course you get k McDonalds
- 12:55Speaker 4: some point.
- 12:55Speaker 6: On top of Yeah, the headlines are we forgetting who
- 12:58Speaker 6: Joe Shane is? Like, I know, it's not I know,
- 13:04Speaker 6: he's like Mickey Loomis, except not on a worse right.
- 13:08Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. The Hard Knocks, I don't know Joe. Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 4: I know the front off.
- 13:14Speaker 6: Hard Knocks it was.
- 13:16Speaker 4: It was really tough.
- 13:18Speaker 6: Yeah, everybody was telling him to drive Jaana Daniels.
- 13:23Speaker 4: His son.
- 13:24Speaker 6: His son was telling him to drive Jana Daniels. He's like, nah,
- 13:28Speaker 6: I know better than everybody.
- 13:30Speaker 4: We're not moving up for that.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Very interesting trade, and it could uh potentially could affect
- 13:36Speaker 3: the Saints because now the Giants and their plans at
- 13:40Speaker 3: five feel like they probably changed a little bit there.
- 13:42Speaker 2: So so do you think like you're you're going to
- 13:44Speaker 2: talk about this? I'm sure it nausea this afternoon. Oh yeah, Like,
- 13:48Speaker 2: what's your overall Phoebe? What do you think the the
- 13:52Speaker 2: national opinion is going to be? And now that the
- 13:55Speaker 2: dust settled a little bit.
- 13:56Speaker 3: I think the fan opinion is going to be that
- 13:59Speaker 3: Theles got fleeshed and the Giants are undoubtedly the winner
- 14:03Speaker 3: because they see tenth overall pick defensive tackle.
- 14:07Speaker 4: But I think if you peel back.
- 14:08Speaker 3: To layers like we're doing here, you realize that the
- 14:11Speaker 3: Bengals right now just got a twenty eight year old
- 14:13Speaker 3: player for three more years, somebody that's proven in the NFL,
- 14:18Speaker 3: somebody that's one of the best, if not the best,
- 14:20Speaker 3: interior rusher in the NFL. And they now, because they've
- 14:25Speaker 3: had some missues in the draft and the defensive line,
- 14:28Speaker 3: some bad ones, they know what this player is.
- 14:31Speaker 2: And let's let's be honest. As weird as this sounds,
- 14:35Speaker 2: because beingals of the Bengals, they've been very bad. They
- 14:41Speaker 2: have not been a threat.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Is weird? Does it sounds that Bengals are in a
- 14:44Speaker 4: win now state of their franchise.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah, with the amount of money that they're paying
- 14:50Speaker 2: at receiver with Joe Burrow at its like you know
- 14:53Speaker 2: in his a at least age prime. I know that,
- 14:55Speaker 2: I know the history of injury and things like that.
- 14:58Speaker 2: They are in a win now SI situation. And then
- 15:00Speaker 2: look at their division. You got the Ravens, you got
- 15:03Speaker 2: the and the Steelers changing coaches, you got the Browns
- 15:05Speaker 2: of who's gonna brown all the time?
- 15:07Speaker 4: Like they are. They are in a literal win now
- 15:10Speaker 4: situation in Cincinnati.
- 15:15Speaker 2: This is like the best window that they could have,
- 15:18Speaker 2: which is crazy to say because they stomped last year,
- 15:21Speaker 2: but like they are trying to fix things now instead
- 15:24Speaker 2: of wait till later. So the more we talk about this,
- 15:27Speaker 2: the more it makes sense to me on both sides.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Like I think both teams got exactly what they wanted.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Both teams kind of win in this situation where they
- 15:34Speaker 2: are now. The Giants are going to win in the
- 15:35Speaker 2: long run because the Bengals to the Bengals, They're just
- 15:39Speaker 2: gonna keep doing Bengal things. And but maybe they win
- 15:44Speaker 2: a weak division and make a run, and I think
- 15:46Speaker 2: that's the hope for them.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Because they got it.
- 15:48Speaker 2: They got a puncher's chance in every game they have
- 15:50Speaker 2: because of the offense. They can just find they gotta
- 15:53Speaker 2: stabilizing force down a little on defense. Just don't be
- 15:58Speaker 2: horrid to kind of be okay. If you're okay on defense,
- 16:04Speaker 2: you win thirteen games.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Just be okay.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Thirteen thirteen is alive. They can go thirteen and four.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Ball keep board got healthy.
- 16:17Speaker 4: The division is not as good as it has been,
- 16:19Speaker 4: no doubt, no doubt. They got your Flacco bud. It's
- 16:25Speaker 4: a backup fair point. So, oh Lander, what did I
- 16:29Speaker 4: say wrong? It's at nauseum, you said.
- 16:32Speaker 2: But I was I was about to say nauseum.
- 16:33Speaker 4: I was about to throw the m on there. Yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 4: And I was like, is that right?
- 16:36Speaker 6: Well, it's also not at. It's a like ad ad nauseum.
- 16:40Speaker 6: It's a D nauseum.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Latin ad ad nauseum naseum. Okay.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I just thought it was like, we're gonna talk about
- 16:49Speaker 2: it too, we get nauseated. I mean that makes more sense.
- 16:52Speaker 6: No, that's what they just like use the Latin for
- 16:55Speaker 6: some reason.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Well, this is America.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Yeah, you're right, Latin is a dead language.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Why are we doing this?
- 17:01Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say until nausea sets in.
- 17:05Speaker 6: I was gonna let us slide bud what it just
- 17:08Speaker 6: cracks me up.
- 17:11Speaker 2: And I'm gonna say it like that again next time.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Who cares, I'm gonna say it until nausea sets in.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Ad nauseum. Let's who speaks Latin nobody language exactly.
- 17:28Speaker 4: A lot of doctors.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Still, that's stuff they learn, So don't try with ad nauseum.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Don't try to speak Latin.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Okay, all right, on that note, when we come back
- 17:43Speaker 3: a little. Weekend winners, Cassie, Weekend winners. When we come back,
- 17:51Speaker 3: get ready to get on the mic. We'll do it
- 17:54Speaker 3: here on O TV, off the bench, all right, Good
- 17:58Speaker 3: f a BT dot com, First and Maryamerican Banking Trust.
- 18:01Speaker 4: They've been in the game for over a hundred years.
- 18:04Speaker 3: That's right, one hundred. You don't stay in the game
- 18:06Speaker 3: that long unless you're doing everything the right way, and
- 18:08Speaker 3: that's what they do over at First American Bank and Trust.
- 18:12Speaker 4: See you on the homepage.

- 19:29Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in ot be here on this
- 19:32Speaker 3: Monday morning. Gonna make a little bit of a switcheroo
- 19:35Speaker 3: here our guy Will Helmers, who joins us every Monday,
- 19:38Speaker 3: typically a little bit later. We didn't want to have
- 19:40Speaker 3: to make him wait. Man, we're dying to talk about
- 19:45Speaker 3: this baseball series over the weekend with Texas A and
- 19:48Speaker 3: M so we're like, we gotta get him on the microphone,
- 19:50Speaker 3: so we'll have weekend winners a little bit later on.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Will's gonna join us now?
- 19:56Speaker 3: Well, and it's and we were talking about it earlier,
- 20:03Speaker 3: like you got swept in the Old Miss series and
- 20:06Speaker 3: we'll get to like all that.
- 20:07Speaker 4: Like you at least had like.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Opportunities in that series where there was a play to
- 20:10Speaker 3: be made. No, you didn't make the winning play, but
- 20:12Speaker 3: there was places to be made.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Uh. You know, you could go back to the first
- 20:15Speaker 4: game of that series.
- 20:16Speaker 3: You had a disastrous ending on defense. That's what kind
- 20:18Speaker 3: of led to that loss. You come back on Sunday,
- 20:20Speaker 3: you have a chance, you lose by a run. There
- 20:23Speaker 3: were moments, Yeah, no moments this week, no moments, no
- 20:28Speaker 3: flat Hey make this one play, Hey, this one opportunity.
- 20:32Speaker 3: It got away from you and you never held on
- 20:35Speaker 3: to any hope.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that's rough.
- 20:39Speaker 7: Rough, I mean, that's the best way to put it
- 20:41Speaker 7: is just you get swept two weekends in a row,
- 20:44Speaker 7: and they're totally different sweeps in my opinion, Just like
- 20:46Speaker 7: you said, it's you know, they come out and just
- 20:49Speaker 7: look flat all around, you know, for the most part,
- 20:53Speaker 7: besides the bullpen you know, the bullpen looked great, so
- 20:56Speaker 7: we say, yeah, you know, it gave you at least,
- 20:59Speaker 7: it gave you a chance to try to play catcher, right,
- 21:01Speaker 7: you know, and that's what they've They've been in positions
- 21:04Speaker 7: to do that all season and they have played catch
- 21:06Speaker 7: up for the most part. But besides that, you know,
- 21:09Speaker 7: everything just looks flat. You know, the bats are just dead.
- 21:13Speaker 7: You know, it's like, where where do you go from there?
- 21:16Speaker 7: And I, you know, I don't have the answer. You know,
- 21:21Speaker 7: it's it's it's not a it's not the worst place
- 21:24Speaker 7: they've ever we've ever been in. You know, I still
- 21:27Speaker 7: look at it like it's hopeless. Yeah, but just the
- 21:29Speaker 7: way that they're playing feels hopeless.
- 21:31Speaker 4: You know.
- 21:31Speaker 7: It's like the record six and twelve or the third
- 21:34Speaker 7: to last in the SEC, and you know, it seems
- 21:37Speaker 7: like all hope is lost. But I look back at
- 21:40Speaker 7: twenty twenty four, we were three and twelve, Yeah, and
- 21:42Speaker 7: all of a sudden, we were, you know, pitch away
- 21:44Speaker 7: from going back having a super region at the box. Yeah,
- 21:47Speaker 7: you know, so baseball's weird. It's you know, it's funky,
- 21:50Speaker 7: and funky things can happen. Who knows, they got four
- 21:52Speaker 7: series to prove themselves, and this is you know a
- 21:55Speaker 7: lot of people have mentioned this is not the spot
- 21:57Speaker 7: you want to be in going into these four.
- 22:00Speaker 4: You gotta go. You got one that's gonna be favorable
- 22:04Speaker 4: for you.
- 22:04Speaker 3: The other three, like even Missippi States not as good
- 22:07Speaker 3: as it's going there or into duty.
- 22:10Speaker 7: Noble is a tough place to play for a team
- 22:12Speaker 7: that's not doing well.
- 22:13Speaker 4: What did y'all do when y'are three and twelve? Like?
- 22:15Speaker 4: What are the things they got y'all? I mean, have
- 22:17Speaker 4: it turned around? Yeah? I mean it's it comes all within.
- 22:20Speaker 7: You know, it's and I think that you you know,
- 22:23Speaker 7: you you hear Jay's press conference on I guess that's
- 22:26Speaker 7: Saturday when he kind of you know, everybody's heard it.
- 22:29Speaker 7: He kind of just up front, honest with everybody, like, look,
- 22:31Speaker 7: this is what it is. You know, here we are
- 22:34Speaker 7: and and you know, so at this point, it's really
- 22:36Speaker 7: got to come from within the team. You know, it's
- 22:39Speaker 7: got a change has to happen. You know, they got
- 22:41Speaker 7: to get tougher. You know that they're playing soft, you know,
- 22:45Speaker 7: and I don't like saying that, but I think they
- 22:46Speaker 7: know that too. You know, they're playing a brand of baseball.
- 22:50Speaker 7: That's not LSU baseball. And they they understand that, and
- 22:53Speaker 7: they just need to get tougher, you know, and in
- 22:55Speaker 7: every aspect of the game of you know, starting pitching,
- 22:59Speaker 7: you know, defense, you know, just making routine plays and
- 23:03Speaker 7: doing routine things like you know, you know, Jay would
- 23:07Speaker 7: always say this, A sign of a tough team is
- 23:09Speaker 7: two out hitting. If you can, you know, manufacture runs
- 23:12Speaker 7: with two outs, you're a tough team.
- 23:14Speaker 4: And they have not done that, yeah, you know, and.
- 23:16Speaker 7: That's a huge momentum builder, you know against another team.
- 23:20Speaker 7: And you know, when that doesn't happen, lots of things
- 23:23Speaker 7: can go poorly.
- 23:25Speaker 4: And that's you know what we've seen. And so look,
- 23:29Speaker 4: they got to do it. They just have to do it.
- 23:31Speaker 4: You know. It's there's nothing agains there.
- 23:33Speaker 2: You know.
- 23:33Speaker 7: They're probably one of the more more talented teams in
- 23:35Speaker 7: the SEC. You know when you just look at strictly talent,
- 23:39Speaker 7: you know, they got to learn to play together and
- 23:42Speaker 7: do the right things.
- 23:43Speaker 2: You know.
- 23:43Speaker 4: That sounds, you know, well, what are the right things?
- 23:46Speaker 7: Well, I don't know, you know, it's just baseball's like that,
- 23:51Speaker 7: you know, and we'll see what happens. And I think
- 23:55Speaker 7: they have a great opportunity, you know, to turn this
- 23:58Speaker 7: thing and flip it around.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Let's take a look at Let's take a look at
- 24:02Speaker 2: Jay's comments from Saturday's press conference, where he talked about
- 24:06Speaker 2: basically said there were mistakes made in constructing the roster. Right,
- 24:10Speaker 2: So pretty harsh words for you say, like mid season
- 24:14Speaker 2: like that, right, but honest words, certainly, and all we
- 24:19Speaker 2: can ask for from coaches and players is honesty. But
- 24:22Speaker 2: like it's got to be at the right time. How
- 24:25Speaker 2: do you feel if you're in the locker room, we're
- 24:28Speaker 2: getting ready to play a second game, just lost on
- 24:30Speaker 2: a Friday night, getting ready to second player, second game
- 24:32Speaker 2: in the middle of the season of SEC player, and
- 24:34Speaker 2: your coach says that, how do you feel as a player?
- 24:38Speaker 7: Well, so, when I look at that and when he
- 24:41Speaker 7: says that to the public, you know, in a press
- 24:43Speaker 7: conference before he's saying that to the public, he said
- 24:46Speaker 7: that to this team probably forty times, right, you know.
- 24:49Speaker 2: That he made a mistake. Yes, with the team, Yes,
- 24:52Speaker 2: with the.
- 24:52Speaker 7: Way they're current, with the way they're currently playing and
- 24:55Speaker 7: with their you know.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I specifically talking about personnel, right, I know he roster
- 25:00Speaker 2: comment and he probably doesn't mention that to the team.
- 25:03Speaker 7: I mean, he probably has tell you the truth when
- 25:05Speaker 7: when things go poorly, and he's a very positive coach,
- 25:08Speaker 7: always is, you know, and he stays positive even in
- 25:11Speaker 7: the tough times like when we were three and twelve,
- 25:13Speaker 7: he's like, let's go. Yeah, he's gonna do everything he can,
- 25:15Speaker 7: and he is doing everything he can to turn it around.
- 25:19Speaker 7: And he's making his coach and staff do everything he
- 25:21Speaker 7: can to turn it around. And by staying positive, it
- 25:23Speaker 7: goes a long way. But I don't know how you
- 25:27Speaker 7: feel when your coach says that, you know, it's well, okay,
- 25:30Speaker 7: you know, it's it's a you know, and no, college
- 25:33Speaker 7: sports is in a different world today.
- 25:36Speaker 3: No, That's why I was just you know, we didn't
- 25:38Speaker 3: hear that in college much, but we heard that in
- 25:40Speaker 3: the NFL. Right, It's something very so Hey, hey guy, hey,
- 25:44Speaker 3: we brought you in here to run power. We can't
- 25:46Speaker 3: run power. Were the worst team in the NFL running power.
- 25:49Speaker 3: That's why you're here. Like stuff like that would happen
- 25:52Speaker 3: in the NFL where back in college, like you, we
- 25:56Speaker 3: didn't hear that, right, but now it's way of professional right,
- 26:00Speaker 3: It's and it's because here at mid season.
- 26:04Speaker 4: I guess y'all were going good.
- 26:05Speaker 2: I mean, like every coach is yelling at you. Yeah,
- 26:08Speaker 2: you know, like I made a misplay. That's it's like
- 26:10Speaker 2: the skip Burntment story of like I made a mistake
- 26:12Speaker 2: recruiting you. You can't do it.
- 26:13Speaker 4: I got it.
- 26:14Speaker 7: But like, and Jay's a very calculated individual AND's part
- 26:18Speaker 7: of that that he's probably I'm sure he did on purpose.
- 26:21Speaker 7: You know, it may be another tactic to get this
- 26:23Speaker 7: team rolling. And and college sports are different, you know,
- 26:28Speaker 7: it's and your guy guys, Yeah, you got a brand
- 26:32Speaker 7: new team every year, like whether you like it or not,
- 26:35Speaker 7: because you're bringing in portal guys. And it's a great thing.
- 26:37Speaker 7: You know, it's it can be great, and then it
- 26:39Speaker 7: can bite you in the butt a little bit.
- 26:41Speaker 3: We're talking about it well with LSU softball a little
- 26:44Speaker 3: bit earlier. So LSU softball had this old team that
- 26:47Speaker 3: had been together.
- 26:47Speaker 4: For a long time.
- 26:48Speaker 3: A lot of them were recruited here out of high
- 26:50Speaker 3: school and they were a good softball team and they
- 26:52Speaker 3: would start like twenty three and two and then it
- 26:54Speaker 3: would kind of fade a little bit.
- 26:56Speaker 4: And this team's a little bit different.
- 26:58Speaker 3: This team was way more portal additions, and they struggled
- 27:01Speaker 3: out of the gate and then they found out what
- 27:04Speaker 3: to do, how to play with each other themselves, and
- 27:07Speaker 3: they have found it. Now they're thriving, right and they're
- 27:09Speaker 3: going in the other direction right. So like it is new,
- 27:12Speaker 3: there's going to be new teams. You don't have, you know,
- 27:14Speaker 3: players that have been here for the most part for
- 27:17Speaker 3: four years, that have been through the fire with you like,
- 27:19Speaker 3: and it can go one of two ways. For softball,
- 27:21Speaker 3: it's going up right, baseball's going down right.
- 27:24Speaker 7: And that's what's you know, that's gonna be and you'll
- 27:27Speaker 7: see it change a lot, you know, over the years,
- 27:29Speaker 7: I think with how college sports is going. But you know,
- 27:34Speaker 7: and there's a chance that LSU baseball has the chance
- 27:37Speaker 7: to do that. They they find a way to learn
- 27:39Speaker 7: to play together and you know, and I don't know
- 27:42Speaker 7: the answers. I don't know what's going on in that
- 27:46Speaker 7: locker room specifically. I don't know everything, but I do know,
- 27:50Speaker 7: like these are great kids, you know, and and they're
- 27:53Speaker 7: doing their best, and they're and trying and effort and
- 27:56Speaker 7: confidence is not an issue.
- 27:59Speaker 4: And I got a chance to with Gordon last week.
- 28:01Speaker 7: They come in and do their nil, shoot and get
- 28:03Speaker 7: to talk to them and do a little podcasts with them.
- 28:05Speaker 4: They're awesome.
- 28:06Speaker 7: Like, these kids are doing everything they can to play hard,
- 28:09Speaker 7: and it's you know, it's just not going in their
- 28:12Speaker 7: favorite Baseball is like that sometimes, you know, baseball's a
- 28:14Speaker 7: lot of you don't like to hear it, but it's
- 28:17Speaker 7: very luck driven and just things aren't going their way
- 28:20Speaker 7: and there is a way to turn that around. And
- 28:22Speaker 7: people don't like to hear that. Well, look, but that's
- 28:26Speaker 7: a part of it, you know. And you know, these
- 28:28Speaker 7: are great kids and the best coaching staff in America,
- 28:32Speaker 7: and I don't want that to get lost on people.
- 28:34Speaker 7: You know, Like this is if you don't think Jay
- 28:36Speaker 7: Johnson's proven himself, you need to leave. You need to
- 28:40Speaker 7: just get out.
- 28:40Speaker 4: You know.
- 28:41Speaker 7: It's just sometimes years don't go your way and you
- 28:44Speaker 7: can't win a national championship every year.
- 28:46Speaker 2: It's just you know, yeah, well and Jay, we trust exactly,
- 28:51Speaker 2: and so tell us, like from your in your shoes,
- 28:54Speaker 2: like what are realistic expectations for the rest of the
- 28:57Speaker 2: Like what goals they got? Certainly their goals going to
- 29:00Speaker 2: be win every single game for the team within the building. Yeah,
- 29:03Speaker 2: Like as a fan base, and as a former player, like,
- 29:05Speaker 2: what's a really realistic expectation for that thing?
- 29:07Speaker 4: All right, So they're six and twelve. They got two
- 29:09Speaker 4: home series, two away series.
- 29:12Speaker 7: I think that if they win three of those series,
- 29:17Speaker 7: which is very doable, very very doable. You know, they've
- 29:20Speaker 7: shown that, they've proven they can be a good team.
- 29:22Speaker 7: They just need to do it, you know. So if
- 29:24Speaker 7: they go to Mississipi, Mississippi State this weekend, win two
- 29:27Speaker 7: or three there, just you know, don't get swept there.
- 29:30Speaker 7: They come home, they got to sweep Yeah, you know,
- 29:33Speaker 7: they got to sweep South Carolina, and then they go
- 29:36Speaker 7: to Athens, which is going to be their toughest probably
- 29:39Speaker 7: game of the year, just talent wise. Based off of
- 29:41Speaker 7: that team, Georgia looks, you know, looks the part of
- 29:44Speaker 7: a college baseball team and a national champion and a
- 29:46Speaker 7: guy who's going to go to Omaha. They looked that
- 29:49Speaker 7: part and the yeah, in a couple of places, he's
- 29:52Speaker 7: been exactly, he's been around the block. And I love Wes.
- 29:55Speaker 7: He's a great guy. He helped me out a lot,
- 29:58Speaker 7: you know, and pitching and whatever. They go there and
- 30:01Speaker 7: don't get swept and they come back in sweep Florida,
- 30:04Speaker 7: and then you go win a couple games in the
- 30:06Speaker 7: SEC tournament, you get hot. You know, things are looking
- 30:10Speaker 7: your way to be in a regional and you might
- 30:12Speaker 7: not host one, but who cares. You know, you go,
- 30:14Speaker 7: you make it an NCAA appearance, and you don't know
- 30:18Speaker 7: what happens, right, you know, you don't know where you
- 30:20Speaker 7: end up, who you're playing against, and and sometimes things
- 30:22Speaker 7: just go your way and you get hot at the
- 30:24Speaker 7: right time, like you saw it in twenty three when
- 30:27Speaker 7: Ole Miss or twenty two when Old Miss one. You know,
- 30:30Speaker 7: actually the last time LSU got swept was in twenty two.
- 30:34Speaker 7: We got swept in twenty twenty two against Ole Miss.
- 30:36Speaker 7: That was when Old Miss flipped. They flipped and then
- 30:39Speaker 7: just started going nuts, and then they won the national championship.
- 30:42Speaker 4: You know, they just got hot, and.
- 30:44Speaker 3: That you know, had that moments in their seasons, right
- 30:46Speaker 3: had they were struggling, Yeah, flipped it.
- 30:49Speaker 7: And there's been a lot more of a struggle with
- 30:51Speaker 7: LG Baseball I think than those, But there's still a
- 30:53Speaker 7: chance to flip it around. You know, you go win
- 30:56Speaker 7: a bunch of games in the SEC tournament and all
- 30:57Speaker 7: of a sudden, it's like well, where's this been all season?
- 31:00Speaker 7: It's just it's baseball. The age old quote, it's baseball.
- 31:04Speaker 4: So you gotta punch.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Back, got to punch you gotta do you gotta do
- 31:08Speaker 2: something different, yeah, like, and that's that's what we haven't
- 31:11Speaker 2: been able to see. There hasn't been like, there's been
- 31:13Speaker 2: no drastic there's been no sension all year of the team,
- 31:16Speaker 2: like we're getting a little bit better at this all
- 31:18Speaker 2: all year long. It just hasn't been that. So they're
- 31:20Speaker 2: gonna have to do something they haven't done this season
- 31:23Speaker 2: right to be consistent enough to make that type of run.
- 31:27Speaker 2: And can they do it? Yeah? Yeah, will they do it?
- 31:29Speaker 2: That's gonna be.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Yeah. All right.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Uh, A lot going on with Louisiana. Loaded go out
- 31:36Speaker 3: here on a positive note. I'm pretty tired. Yeah, a
- 31:39Speaker 3: long weekend. You told us your schedule last week and
- 31:42Speaker 3: then you just laid it out again for us.
- 31:44Speaker 7: Tell the people what your schedule was. Let's see started
- 31:47Speaker 7: at Tipotinas on Thursday. Thursday Night saw the Bends. Awesome
- 31:53Speaker 7: little little band from Baton Rouge lsu Band saw them
- 31:56Speaker 7: at Tipotina's Long night, Hopped on a hopped on a
- 32:02Speaker 7: plane to Shreveport, did some crawfish for the Gordon's offices
- 32:05Speaker 7: up in Monroe and Shreveport rubber boots.
- 32:08Speaker 4: Uh awesome crawfish up there. Yeah.
- 32:12Speaker 7: Flew back straight to Fred's to see the bends again, obviously,
- 32:16Speaker 7: and then French Quarterfest Saturday did all that and then
- 32:20Speaker 7: Sunday hit the game.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Good weekend, long Saturday night.
- 32:26Speaker 2: We took it.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Took it easy, man.
- 32:28Speaker 7: It was take a long weekend and long week this week.
- 32:31Speaker 7: Jazz Fest starts this week in Louisiana. Zurich Classic this weekend. Yep,
- 32:36Speaker 7: you know it's it's on the move, the up and up.
- 32:39Speaker 2: You're gonna be at all the above.
- 32:40Speaker 4: I will be at all of you. Grab some high
- 32:43Speaker 4: on your good no doubt, great point hydration station. All right, Well,
- 32:49Speaker 4: we appreciate.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Hopefully next week we'll have a little bit better spirits
- 32:53Speaker 3: because LSU Baseball did something special.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Let's see what happens. It'll be good. Get it done.
- 32:58Speaker 4: We'll take a break more OTB when we come back.

- 36:29Speaker 3: and his youth.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Don't waste it. Cassie, Well, I know you had a
- 36:39Speaker 2: question for Will too.
- 36:40Speaker 4: I'm sorry. Yeah, all right, we ran out of time.
- 36:43Speaker 4: Our fault.
- 36:43Speaker 2: That's that's on us.
- 36:45Speaker 4: It's all right, we'll be better. You can ask Hunt
- 36:47Speaker 4: the same baseball question.
- 36:48Speaker 6: I could do that.
- 36:54Speaker 3: I do always forget they were three and twelve that year,
- 36:58Speaker 3: twenty four, but that, you know, even that just felt different.
- 37:04Speaker 6: It feels apathetic.
- 37:07Speaker 2: So at a certain point they were six and twelve,
- 37:09Speaker 2: then potentially they were.
- 37:13Speaker 6: I don't remember how it went, but it was just Sam.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Yeah, mmm, players only meeting second week, second week in
- 37:23Speaker 2: a row.
- 37:24Speaker 3: No, I've never been a I hate players, like Buddy guy.
- 37:31Speaker 3: And I'm not talking just this team, like teams I've
- 37:33Speaker 3: been on. Like everyone, players, only do your job. If
- 37:37Speaker 3: I gonna have somebody to get up there and say
- 37:39Speaker 3: we gotta work hard, shut up, do your job players only? Okay,
- 37:45Speaker 3: what are you gonna say in here that the coaches
- 37:47Speaker 3: can't hear the players only? I brought it up man,
- 37:53Speaker 3: making fun of it.
- 37:53Speaker 4: I know, I know you are. I know you hate
- 37:55Speaker 4: them as much as I do.
- 37:58Speaker 5: M M.
- 37:59Speaker 3: I mean that team, you know, a team that we're
- 38:02Speaker 3: talking about too, Like they also had Gauge Jump, Luke Coleman,
- 38:07Speaker 3: Kate Anderson was on that team.
- 38:09Speaker 4: Young player Gryffin Herring was on that team. He's pretty good.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Griffin Herring was one of my favorites, like of all time.
- 38:14Speaker 4: He was so good.
- 38:15Speaker 3: You had Coleman out of the pin, one of the
- 38:17Speaker 3: best relievers ever out of the pin, so.
- 38:25Speaker 6: Which I said during the break that ironic. Oh yeah,
- 38:28Speaker 6: that's you heard ironically. I feel like the only thing
- 38:31Speaker 6: that is progressing is the bullpen, not the starting pitching.
- 38:35Speaker 6: But the bullpen has been pretty okay for how it
- 38:41Speaker 6: all started.
- 38:42Speaker 2: But it's I mean, the starting pitching hasn't been terrible.
- 38:45Speaker 6: It hasn't been terrible, but it also hasn't been what
- 38:48Speaker 6: it's been the past few years. Like last year you
- 38:50Speaker 6: had Kate Anderson and Anthony ianson the year before that,
- 38:54Speaker 6: you had Luke Coleman Engaged Jump, and then you had
- 38:56Speaker 6: Paul Skeen's ty Floyd Like it's it's when that's been
- 39:01Speaker 6: the standard the entire time, it's kind of hard to
- 39:03Speaker 6: look at this pitching staff that's not doing horrible, but
- 39:06Speaker 6: they're also like, aside from William Schmidt, not starters. Cason Evans, Yeah,
- 39:15Speaker 6: eight strikeouts and gave up six runs, but like he's
- 39:18Speaker 6: just not I don't think he's a starter.
- 39:22Speaker 4: I think, yeah, he's and for.
- 39:26Speaker 6: Sure, like he had double digit Yeah he had double
- 39:29Speaker 6: digit strikeouts. Like he has great stuff, it's just not working.
- 39:36Speaker 6: I don't think he's a bad pitcher. And then whenever
- 39:40Speaker 6: they put Grant Fonto in, I knew they were gonna
- 39:43Speaker 6: save Zach for Sunday and last season I was like, no, like,
- 39:48Speaker 6: let's not start Zach Cowen. Let's he's a middle because
- 39:51Speaker 6: last season was different. Last season we didn't need that.
- 39:56Speaker 6: Last season, we needed a reliever and he was a
- 39:59Speaker 6: great reliever. This season with Cooper more out, I mean,
- 40:05Speaker 6: you got to make that move which ended up Devon
- 40:07Speaker 6: Sheeran is doing.
- 40:10Speaker 4: Really good.
- 40:11Speaker 2: But we and we talked about how Jay Johnson values
- 40:15Speaker 2: is always going to value the lineup over defense and.
- 40:20Speaker 6: Not if your lineup's not producing exactly.
- 40:23Speaker 2: So if your defense is going to flounder a little bit,
- 40:26Speaker 2: you got to put up runs. And that has been
- 40:29Speaker 2: again that's been one of those things that has saved
- 40:31Speaker 2: you and has hidden some things as some big innings
- 40:35Speaker 2: and some big games with a lot of a lot
- 40:36Speaker 2: of run production. But when that's not there, you can't
- 40:39Speaker 2: go against A and M and score two on Saturday
- 40:42Speaker 2: and Sunday, right, can't do it like the and I
- 40:45Speaker 2: bring it up with a pitching. Yeah, it's not like
- 40:46Speaker 2: the elite pitching that we've been spoiled by the last
- 40:50Speaker 2: couple of years. But it hasn't been the worst starting
- 40:53Speaker 2: pitching right out there, like it's it's winnable, right, and
- 40:59Speaker 2: if you're should be sacks you up, sure you should.
- 41:04Speaker 6: Swept swept, but you were playing from behind the entire weekend.
- 41:10Speaker 6: And I know he's injured right now. I think he
- 41:12Speaker 6: has like a cut on his finger or something like that.
- 41:14Speaker 6: But it seems like Trent Carraway has lost his spot
- 41:17Speaker 6: in the lineup since before that we haven't seen a
- 41:19Speaker 6: lot of him, but I think his fielding at their
- 41:25Speaker 6: what are y'all laughing at? I know, I know, we'll
- 41:30Speaker 6: like you kind of got to That's what I said.
- 41:33Speaker 6: Whenever I learned. I was like, well, it better be
- 41:35Speaker 6: like a deep ass cut, like it better be I mean,
- 41:39Speaker 6: I was like okay, sure, like okay, whatever, but it
- 41:43Speaker 6: seems like he lost his spot on the on the
- 41:49Speaker 6: on the lineup, and I just.
- 41:50Speaker 4: Like he was a rotating player. Yeah, was a part
- 41:53Speaker 4: of it.
- 41:53Speaker 6: Right, But I just don't feel like he's doing any
- 41:56Speaker 6: worse than what a lot of other people are doing
- 41:59Speaker 6: on this So like that is like a his I
- 42:02Speaker 6: think that he was good at their base. So that's
- 42:04Speaker 6: just something that's a little perplexing to me.
- 42:08Speaker 3: My finger, there's just I mean, even go back.
- 42:13Speaker 4: To twenty four like it, and.
- 42:17Speaker 3: They would have sweeps, they would have guys that they
- 42:20Speaker 3: had guys that would fight.
- 42:22Speaker 6: Like I've said it at nausea.
- 42:24Speaker 2: I can't get you can't get swept. Oh Latin.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Sorry, I'm sitting here looking at like the twenty four
- 42:32Speaker 3: like and just having people like and again like I'm
- 42:34Speaker 3: not saying these baseball players are more talented, but like
- 42:37Speaker 3: he had guys have a fight, yeah, and scratch and claw,
- 42:40Speaker 3: like Hayden Travinsky, Josh Pearson, Ashton Larsen, even his young
- 42:45Speaker 3: player remember that year, how like big he came up
- 42:48Speaker 3: at the end of Malaso like was gonna give you
- 42:50Speaker 3: everything he had. Oh Man, Matt Bingham's the name I
- 42:54Speaker 3: hadn't thought about a long time.
- 42:55Speaker 6: Did he transfer to you out right?
- 42:59Speaker 4: Okay? Ash and Larson did He's a tex He's a Texas. Yeah.
- 43:03Speaker 2: You want guys to fight and claw and scratch, but
- 43:06Speaker 2: don't get a scratch on your finger.
- 43:08Speaker 4: All right, we're not gonna come back from that on.
- 43:10Speaker 3: On that note, we'll take a break more OTB when
