- 0:00Speaker 1: Training camp coverage on Altitude Sports Radio is powered by
- 0:02Speaker 1: Ramo's Law, the official injury law firm partner of Broncos Country.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Jeff Legwall to ESPN makes his Friday afternoon visit ahead
- 0:10Speaker 1: of Broncos Cardinals tomorrow night. Leggy, besides the obvious answer
- 0:14Speaker 1: of health, what answers are Sean Payton hoping to get
- 0:21Speaker 1: out of tomorrow Night's game?
- 0:24Speaker 2: Well, you know, first of all, he's clearly made the
- 0:27Speaker 2: decision with gannon Uh, with the with the Cardinals to
- 0:33Speaker 2: basically hold their starters or most of their starters out
- 0:37Speaker 2: of the game Saturday because of the joint practice and
- 0:41Speaker 2: the reps they got. And so I think largely the
- 0:45Speaker 2: Broncos team on the field tomorrow night will largely be
- 0:49Speaker 2: the second teamers to open the game.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Maybe a smattering.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Of of you know, a few guys who didn't get
- 0:57Speaker 2: enough practice reps in Peyton's mind. But so that tells me,
- 1:02Speaker 2: you know, they're they're diving a little more into some
- 1:05Speaker 2: of these deeper decisions that running back, you know, corner
- 1:12Speaker 2: wide receiver, you know, trying to sort the field beyond
- 1:16Speaker 2: the front liners. And you know, frankly, that's their toughest
- 1:21Speaker 2: and most important decisions out of this camp.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I mean they started Camp Nate with the.
- 1:27Speaker 2: The starting twenty two or twenty four thirty, you know roughly,
- 1:32Speaker 2: you know in pen So I think that they're down
- 1:35Speaker 2: to the tough decisions because they know they're going to
- 1:39Speaker 2: release players good enough to be on a fifty three somewhere,
- 1:42Speaker 2: which means you're probably not getting them back.
- 1:45Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:45Speaker 5: We've kind of had a little back and forth going.
- 1:48Speaker 3: I don't know how much.
- 1:49Speaker 5: It hasn't been too spicy, but Nate feels like Tyler
- 1:52Speaker 5: Bidet is probably moving into a good position and maybe
- 1:55Speaker 5: isn't quite as safe as that the days say, and
- 2:00Speaker 5: maybe McLoughlin isn't as safe as he was a year ago.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Mike Sanford getting that vibe too. I feel like every
- 2:06Speaker 5: time I watch McLoughlin, he's the one making a play.
- 2:10Speaker 5: Is it in either or with Bede or McLoughlin, or
- 2:12Speaker 5: might they keep both? And where does Watson factor in?
- 2:15Speaker 5: How do you see this thing kind of shaken?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Right now?
- 2:18Speaker 2: I would see them as the three in the four
- 2:21Speaker 2: right now. Bedet and mcglove. I think they both could
- 2:24Speaker 2: make it in the in the scenario I've watched in practice,
- 2:28Speaker 2: because when Bedet appeared sort of in the two minute
- 2:33Speaker 2: drill in practice, that's always an indicator of your trying
- 2:37Speaker 2: to expand the portfolio and maybe look at at different ways.
- 2:42Speaker 2: But I think to me the important thing to remember
- 2:45Speaker 2: was when they expanded Bedet's portfolio, they did not bump
- 2:50Speaker 2: McLoughlin down. He stayed in his usual reps. Those are
- 2:55Speaker 2: the kinds of things I tend to chart during practice,
- 2:59Speaker 2: and had he lost more reps, I'd say it isn't
- 3:03Speaker 2: either or.
- 3:04Speaker 5: Perhaps always locked up.
- 3:07Speaker 3: SIT's either or at this point, you know, with a
- 3:09Speaker 3: week and a half to go.
- 3:11Speaker 2: But I think at this point, at this moment, as
- 3:13Speaker 2: you ask me, I think those would be the the
- 3:15Speaker 2: other two running backs. If they keep four right now.
- 3:18Speaker 2: That can change, obviously, but right now I think those
- 3:22Speaker 2: are the four.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Leggy Elsewhere, offensively, what are position battles to watch? Backup,
- 3:29Speaker 1: offensive line, end of the rotation, receivers, what's happening at
- 3:34Speaker 1: tight and give us a breakdown of other spots to
- 3:37Speaker 1: watch Offensively?
- 3:39Speaker 3: You know I would watch.
- 3:42Speaker 2: You know, part of me thinks it's weird to say this,
- 3:45Speaker 2: but I'd pay attention to who doesn't play, who isn't
- 3:48Speaker 2: a starter because I think they're worried they're not going
- 3:52Speaker 2: to be able to get some of these guys to
- 3:54Speaker 2: the practice squad they'd like, especially at receiver. I know
- 3:59Speaker 2: they love Loan as a prospect a tight end, and
- 4:01Speaker 2: he's barely touched the ball in a visible situation. You know,
- 4:06Speaker 2: how much are they going to expose him out there
- 4:09Speaker 2: in a preseason game. But I would watch the receiver rotation,
- 4:13Speaker 2: you know, from the from the start of the second
- 4:16Speaker 2: quarter on. That's a tough, tough decision for them, and
- 4:20Speaker 2: they they're really it may force them to keep an
- 4:25Speaker 2: extra player there. I mean, and they sort of have
- 4:27Speaker 2: a hidden roster spot. You know last year they kept
- 4:30Speaker 2: three quarterbacks. You know, I don't get a sense yet
- 4:34Speaker 2: that they would do that. I know they like Ellinger
- 4:37Speaker 2: a ton, but you know, do they think he would
- 4:41Speaker 2: be claimed if they exposed him? I think ultimately will
- 4:44Speaker 2: be the question. But I'd watch receiver. I'd watched corners,
- 4:49Speaker 2: you know, some of those corners in the second half,
- 4:52Speaker 2: you know, the special teamers. What what rookie or first year,
- 4:56Speaker 2: second year guy really make Some then happen on special
- 5:01Speaker 2: teams to force them to keep him you know, because
- 5:04Speaker 2: I think that you know, the deeper safety spots are
- 5:08Speaker 2: are sort of in question too. So it's we're talking,
- 5:12Speaker 2: you know, second third special teamers.
- 5:16Speaker 3: You know when you're when you're looking this time around.
- 5:18Speaker 5: All right, while we're talking about balancing roster numbers of
- 5:21Speaker 5: position groups and what about inside linebacker?
- 5:23Speaker 4: It's an interesting group.
- 5:24Speaker 5: I feel like you got a lot of very spicy
- 5:27Speaker 5: contenders for that beyond you got, first off, you got
- 5:30Speaker 5: two veterans that have a little bit of an injury
- 5:32Speaker 5: history when we talked Dre Greenlaw and Alex Singleton. And
- 5:35Speaker 5: then you've got some exciting players inside there that they
- 5:38Speaker 5: think could be intriguing. One of the guys that you
- 5:40Speaker 5: told us to watch last week and fifty four Harris
- 5:43Speaker 5: I believe it were fifty five Harris, right, wasn't that
- 5:46Speaker 5: his name there, Jeff, that you picked on your fantasy team.
- 5:49Speaker 5: But you also could use like a John A. Barron
- 5:52Speaker 5: as a diningbacker. You could probably get away with a
- 5:55Speaker 5: maybe Hufanga being a dinebacker.
- 5:57Speaker 4: What are they going to do with that position?
- 5:58Speaker 3: Do you think? Well?
- 6:00Speaker 2: I think they got to be cognizant, Andy, you know,
- 6:02Speaker 2: they they haven't had their you know they're allotment uh play.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I mean Singleton and Greenlaw both missed time. I mean,
- 6:12Speaker 2: you know, yesterday, you know, Sean Payton is still talking
- 6:15Speaker 2: about Drake Greenlaw having some scar tissue, you know, in
- 6:19Speaker 2: his leg, and that that's an issue they're gonna have
- 6:21Speaker 2: to work through, and that they still want to get
- 6:24Speaker 2: him some working pads and and all of those things.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But yet, Jordan Turner is the undrafted rookie I really like, uh,
- 6:35Speaker 2: you know, he's he's kind of a what they don't
- 6:38Speaker 2: have a lot of right now.
- 6:39Speaker 3: He's kind of that you know.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Throwback, a little bit of a throwback thumper in there,
- 6:44Speaker 2: you know, a big ten inside linebacker, and I think
- 6:48Speaker 2: that's a guy who could squeeze in if they feel
- 6:51Speaker 2: like they got to have another another player at that
- 6:55Speaker 2: position because of the you know, the miss time Singleton
- 6:58Speaker 2: and Greenlaw have have had. And I think Kareine Reid
- 7:02Speaker 2: has done another undrafted rookie has done plenty to get noticed.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Anytime you have, you know, an interception like he did
- 7:11Speaker 2: in the preseason opener, they got to pay attention to that,
- 7:14Speaker 2: you know. And Drew Sanders is gonna miss some weeks,
- 7:16Speaker 2: so you know, how they position that, does he open
- 7:20Speaker 2: the year on ir to come back later. You know,
- 7:23Speaker 2: all of those things could impact what it looks like
- 7:25Speaker 2: an inside linebacker.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Jeff Legwald, we're previewing tomorrow night's Broncos Cardinals game Denver,
- 7:31Speaker 1: a three point favorite. Training camp coverage on Altitude Sports
- 7:34Speaker 1: Radio is powered by Ramos Lotts, the official injury law
- 7:37Speaker 1: firm partner of Broncos Country. Jeff, Let's let's shift to
- 7:41Speaker 1: a guy that won't be playing tomorrow night, and that
- 7:43Speaker 1: is Nick Benito procedure to remove a bone spur on
- 7:48Speaker 1: top of his foot. What insight do you have about
- 7:53Speaker 1: timeline seriousness, et cetera on the Nick Benito situation.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Well, they sort of had to convince Nick that this
- 8:04Speaker 2: was really only going to take a week because he
- 8:06Speaker 2: was he didn't want anything to wreck his momentum. You know,
- 8:10Speaker 2: I've spoken to him recently, and you know, he was
- 8:14Speaker 2: he was feeling good about where he was at.
- 8:16Speaker 3: And I don't know how he could not after the series.
- 8:19Speaker 2: That one series alone in the forty nine ers game
- 8:22Speaker 2: was fairly ridiculous. But he was limping a little bit,
- 8:27Speaker 2: you know, during that game, and it was something you know,
- 8:29Speaker 2: they were he was curious about why it was hurting,
- 8:32Speaker 2: and they obviously looked at it and found this bone spur.
- 8:36Speaker 2: They've told him, you know, you're back on Monday or
- 8:41Speaker 2: Tuesday early next week, and that very good chance he
- 8:44Speaker 2: could get some snaps against the Saints and Sean Payton
- 8:48Speaker 2: because of this back to back joint practice. He has
- 8:52Speaker 2: said some of the starters will play against the Saints
- 8:56Speaker 2: for you know, six to eight snaps, and Benito right now.
- 9:01Speaker 3: He's under the impression he would be one of them.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Leggie, I got a Benito related question for you, and
- 9:07Speaker 1: I know you didn't write this, but it was on
- 9:10Speaker 1: the site where your work is published. Okay, on ESPN
- 9:15Speaker 1: dot com today, Mike Clay put out a ranking of
- 9:21Speaker 1: every position group in the NFL, and a lot of
- 9:27Speaker 1: the Broncos rankings. Like I was like, okay, I see it.
- 9:32Speaker 1: The one that like had me screaming at my computer
- 9:36Speaker 1: screen and I don't get emotional about this stuff. The
- 9:41Speaker 1: Broncos edge rushers were ranked twenty third.
- 9:46Speaker 4: In the NFL. Okay.
- 9:49Speaker 1: The two starters last year, Nick Benito first off. Benito
- 9:53Speaker 1: is the second team All Pro. The two starters, Benito
- 9:56Speaker 1: and Cooper both had double digit sacks last year. You
- 9:59Speaker 1: add onto that at Tilman had five sacks, Ellis had
- 10:02Speaker 1: five sacks, like thirty four sacks combined out of that group,
- 10:06Speaker 1: that was more sacks than five teams in the NFL
- 10:09Speaker 1: had in totality all of last year. How the hell
- 10:15Speaker 1: would anybody justify And again, Leggy, I know you didn't
- 10:18Speaker 1: write this, but how does anybody justify saying that the
- 10:22Speaker 1: Broncos group of edge rushers are the twenty third best
- 10:26Speaker 1: in the NFL?
- 10:28Speaker 3: Well, you know I'd heartily disagree with the ranking.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Yes, So, I don't know how a team could have
- 10:34Speaker 2: sixty three sacks and you rank any of their defensive groups.
- 10:40Speaker 1: You know, below ten, a topso three season in the
- 10:43Speaker 1: history of the NFL in terms of team sacks, and
- 10:47Speaker 1: you're telling me their edge rushers are twenty third.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Listen.
- 10:50Speaker 5: He also had the corners ranked lower than the safeties
- 10:52Speaker 5: on his defense.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Are also makes no sense. The defensive player of the
- 10:57Speaker 1: damn year is one of your corners and loss is
- 11:00Speaker 1: pretty good. Also, like, the inside linebackers were ranked fourth,
- 11:06Speaker 1: and that was the one where I was like, the
- 11:08Speaker 1: hell are you talking about?
- 11:09Speaker 4: They're not fourth?
- 11:11Speaker 1: Like that was the one where I was just like,
- 11:12Speaker 1: not even close. But then you miss so bad on
- 11:15Speaker 1: edge rush and on corner. I just, Leggy, what was
- 11:19Speaker 1: you got a lecture? This person is a lecture coming
- 11:21Speaker 1: from me.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Make an angry phone call on our behalf.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Leggie, Well, I would argue, if Sir Tan stands out
- 11:27Speaker 2: there by himself, he's in the top ten. If they
- 11:32Speaker 2: just send Pat out, he's in the top ten. That's
- 11:35Speaker 2: the top ten secondary. If no one else is even
- 11:37Speaker 2: on the field.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Like D line seventh even, I think that's a little low,
- 11:42Speaker 1: but like, okay, it is a top ten defensive.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Line to me.
- 11:46Speaker 3: You know, I think some of it maybe who knows,
- 11:48Speaker 3: you know, I know Mike very well. We talk a lot.
- 11:50Speaker 3: You know. Some of it could be draft positioning.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Some of it could be you know, what does your
- 11:56Speaker 2: fantasy league give points for?
- 11:58Speaker 3: You know, all of that stuff.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I don't know, but I certainly if I did that
- 12:02Speaker 2: sort of thing and I was drafting a defense, I
- 12:05Speaker 2: take a long look at the at the Denver Broncos.
- 12:09Speaker 5: All right, Leggy, have you seen bridges of Madison County?
- 12:15Speaker 3: Wow, that's a tough one.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Not probably not in its entirety.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yes, Leggy, have you heard of the movie Bridges of
- 12:23Speaker 1: Madison County.
- 12:25Speaker 3: It's a Clint Eastwood movie. You would not expect.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you again.
- 12:30Speaker 5: Description a Clint Eastwood movie, you would not Clint Eastwood
- 12:36Speaker 5: rom Coy.
- 12:38Speaker 3: With a forty five.
- 12:39Speaker 4: That's why.
- 12:41Speaker 2: No, I'm just saying, if you know, if you were
- 12:43Speaker 2: a guy and you didn't want to tell your buddies
- 12:45Speaker 2: you enjoyed the Bridges of Madison County, you could just say,
- 12:48Speaker 2: I watched the Clint Eastwood movie last night.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Guilty Pleasure.
- 12:52Speaker 1: It is well said, Uh, Jeff, how did Bonnicks look
- 12:56Speaker 1: at you yesterday?
- 12:58Speaker 3: Well, he looked good.
- 12:59Speaker 2: But you know, this whole best day of camp thing
- 13:02Speaker 2: that got out of control. I just you guys know
- 13:05Speaker 2: how I feel about Twitter scouting of training camp practices.
- 13:09Speaker 2: But he had a pretty good day. But you know,
- 13:13Speaker 2: I'm not ready to I just don't do that sort
- 13:16Speaker 2: of thing.
- 13:17Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I think it's irresponsible for me to sit here and
- 13:21Speaker 2: tell fans, Bronco fans who really want to know what's
- 13:25Speaker 2: going on that the ebb and flow is so strong
- 13:29Speaker 2: every day between good and bad, and it's not. He
- 13:33Speaker 2: was more in rhythm yesterday, and that's what you want
- 13:36Speaker 2: to see. You just want to see the guy being
- 13:39Speaker 2: rhythm with some comfort level. And that could mean they
- 13:43Speaker 2: didn't install an extra sixty five plays that morning, or
- 13:48Speaker 2: he had a better breakfast, or you know, training camp
- 13:51Speaker 2: is just this day to day drum beat, and I
- 13:55Speaker 2: would advise people who enjoy football to take some of
- 13:59Speaker 2: the Evan flow reporting of each day with a little
- 14:04Speaker 2: bit of a raised eyebrow.
- 14:05Speaker 3: But he was in rhythm.
- 14:07Speaker 2: And I think that's why he will not play Saturday
- 14:11Speaker 2: night is because he had a nice day in rhythm
- 14:14Speaker 2: and that you'll get plenty of Jarrett's did him on
- 14:17Speaker 2: Saturday night.
- 14:17Speaker 4: That's It's honestly.
- 14:18Speaker 1: One of the things I wondered about after practice yesterday
- 14:21Speaker 1: is a first Sean was in a good mood after
- 14:23Speaker 1: practice yesterday. How could he not be as well as
- 14:26Speaker 1: his first team offense played, and in addition to that,
- 14:31Speaker 1: as good as both look Because I thought Bo, especially
- 14:33Speaker 1: man coming off the preseason game and on Tuesday, I
- 14:36Speaker 1: was just like, hey, he's not real sharp right now
- 14:39Speaker 1: I was. I was like, Okay, he's definitely gonna be
- 14:41Speaker 1: playing on Saturday night.
- 14:42Speaker 4: And then he looked.
- 14:42Speaker 1: He looked good enough that I think Sean felt comfortable
- 14:46Speaker 1: that he could then, you know, take his foot off
- 14:48Speaker 1: the gas.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Is it a good time for a break for him?
- 14:50Speaker 3: Two legy?
- 14:50Speaker 4: I mean you kind of hinted it.
- 14:52Speaker 5: You know, this is a grind and there's no look
- 14:55Speaker 5: Seawan's focused on him. He's not focused on this three
- 14:58Speaker 5: man competition.
- 14:59Speaker 3: That never really was.
- 15:00Speaker 5: But this really is Bo's first camp getting the full diet,
- 15:04Speaker 5: you know, the full buffet of showing up in his business.
- 15:07Speaker 5: Is Is this maybe a good time for a little
- 15:09Speaker 5: break halfway through camp or whatever?
- 15:11Speaker 3: The preseason?
- 15:12Speaker 2: I should say always you know what we you know,
- 15:16Speaker 2: I I've told coaches in the past that I've covered
- 15:19Speaker 2: I think they should at times, as people are grading
- 15:23Speaker 2: their quarterbacks and they get tired of it, they should say,
- 15:28Speaker 2: right after practice today we installed X number of plays,
- 15:34Speaker 2: X number of situations. So yes, things were a little
- 15:37Speaker 2: choppy because we gave the guys forty eight pages of
- 15:41Speaker 2: information they had to digest before they went to the
- 15:45Speaker 2: practice field. So, you know, I think that's some of it.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Some days guys have bad days because the coaches want
- 15:53Speaker 2: them to have bad days. They want them to be challenged,
- 15:57Speaker 2: to be stressed, and Bo Nicks gets more of that
- 16:01Speaker 2: on the Broncos than any other player. If Sean Payton's
- 16:04Speaker 2: going to stress a player and push him hard, bow
- 16:08Speaker 2: Knicks is going to be at the front of the line.
- 16:11Speaker 2: So I think yesterday you saw he was in a
- 16:15Speaker 2: nice rhythm, very comfortable with what they were going to do,
- 16:19Speaker 2: and had that not gone well, my gut is from
- 16:23Speaker 2: knowing everybody involved, he would have played some.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Saturday, and he still might.
- 16:28Speaker 2: But my information at this point is that Jared Stidham
- 16:34Speaker 2: will probably play because they feel pretty good about where
- 16:37Speaker 2: bo Nicks is in this training kit.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Okay, so along those lines you mentioned the you know
- 16:43Speaker 1: that there are days where there's going to be a
- 16:46Speaker 1: massive avalanche of information that gets piled onto bow Knicks.
- 16:50Speaker 1: But also Sean Payton's favorite bow Knicks talking point is well,
- 16:55Speaker 1: I gave him a gigantic binder at five o'clock in
- 16:57Speaker 1: the afternoon, and the next morning he knew the entire
- 16:59Speaker 1: thing thing. This is where we come to the question,
- 17:02Speaker 1: and Andy and I have had this discussion, Leggie, is
- 17:06Speaker 1: are we reaching the point where it would behove bo
- 17:10Speaker 1: Nicks if Sean Payton would shut the hell up a
- 17:13Speaker 1: little bit?
- 17:15Speaker 2: Well, I think Sean has made the conscious decision. I'm
- 17:20Speaker 2: gonna put the whole team on notice right from August.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I want everybody's attention. I don't want anybody feeling good
- 17:27Speaker 2: about the wild card trip last year. I don't want
- 17:31Speaker 2: anybody telling them how great they are. I'm gonna beat
- 17:34Speaker 2: everybody to the punch and tell them how great they
- 17:37Speaker 2: are and that I am going to push them every
- 17:40Speaker 2: second of every day to be that great. I think
- 17:43Speaker 2: that's what he's done. I had a good indication in
- 17:48Speaker 2: May this was going to be his approach to all this,
- 17:52Speaker 2: and I think he has chosen to go public with
- 17:56Speaker 2: how good he thinks this team is because he wants
- 17:59Speaker 2: them to know that's his expectation. And if you're bow Nicks,
- 18:05Speaker 2: whether you think that's a great idea by your head
- 18:08Speaker 2: coach or not, you were at the epicenter of all
- 18:11Speaker 2: of it. You are the guy on the you're on
- 18:15Speaker 2: the hottest burner. You're just in the middle of it.
- 18:19Speaker 2: And I think that's just if you're gonna be Sean
- 18:22Speaker 2: Payton's quarterback, I think that's going to be part of
- 18:25Speaker 2: the deal. And I think that's one very big reason
- 18:28Speaker 2: bow Nick sought out Drew Brees. This offseason to have
- 18:33Speaker 2: a discussion about all that.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Well.
- 18:34Speaker 1: In Nick's comments to Kay Adams earlier in the week,
- 18:37Speaker 1: again it was we haven't done anything. It was we
- 18:40Speaker 1: got to walk the walk, Like the hype is great,
- 18:43Speaker 1: but we need to go out and we need to
- 18:45Speaker 1: do it and it's not about talk. And when you
- 18:48Speaker 1: hear that, it's just like, is there is there an
- 18:50Speaker 1: indication that some of this pressure I call the term
- 18:56Speaker 1: that the Broncos are everybody's hipster pick to win the
- 18:59Speaker 1: Super Bowl right now in the NFL, and that Bo
- 19:03Speaker 1: Nicks may not be wild about the position that he's
- 19:06Speaker 1: that you're talking about right there, Leggie, of being dropped
- 19:09Speaker 1: into the middle of the damn volcano.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Yeah, look, there's no way Sean Payton isn't telling his
- 19:16Speaker 2: team in the meetings you haven't done anything yet.
- 19:21Speaker 3: There is no way that is not being discussed. There is.
- 19:25Speaker 3: I mean, he has made very clear.
- 19:27Speaker 2: He's told him I'm going to tell you what is
- 19:30Speaker 2: required to be as good as I think you are.
- 19:33Speaker 3: That's been his message in house.
- 19:36Speaker 2: And that's a tough message, you know, and it and
- 19:41Speaker 2: he couldn't do it if the players didn't know. He
- 19:44Speaker 2: has won a super Bowl you know that this is
- 19:47Speaker 2: not a gamut. A gambit a coach who has not
- 19:51Speaker 2: won can pull off. This is a coach who's won
- 19:55Speaker 2: telling his team I've seen it, I know it, and
- 19:59Speaker 2: you you are in. But this is what it takes
- 20:02Speaker 2: to get there. I think the messages are combined. It's
- 20:07Speaker 2: just when he goes public they aren't combined in that moment. Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 2: they've been combined when he's given it to the team.
- 20:15Speaker 2: And you know, really, you know, we we tend to
- 20:18Speaker 2: forget because he acts mature, but bo Nicks is a
- 20:22Speaker 2: very young quarterback and this is his first real foray
- 20:27Speaker 2: into what Patrick Mahomes deals with every hour of every
- 20:31Speaker 2: football day. People expect me to win trophies, you know.
- 20:36Speaker 2: And I think he's just getting used to it. And
- 20:39Speaker 2: he's a level headed young guy, and he's he has
- 20:42Speaker 2: the right approach in my mind, and I like I
- 20:46Speaker 2: like that he says, hey, we haven't done anything yet.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I think that's a good sign that he's willing to
- 20:52Speaker 2: step out and say that.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I think it's spoken exactly like a former you know,
- 20:56Speaker 1: an Alabama kid that played at Auburn. I think that's
- 20:58Speaker 1: exactly what that sounds like. Gotta bow Nix. Great, great
