Today we're covering numbers six through ten. Let's start with six: ఆరు. Luna: ఆరు. That's six, right? Lucas: Exactly. ఆరు. Say it with me: ఆరు. Luna: ఆరు. Lucas: Great. Now seven: ఏడు. Luna: ఏడు. Sounds like the number seven in English a little bit. Lucas: Yeah, it does. ఏడు. Your turn. Luna: ఏడు. Lucas: Perfect. Now eight: ఎనిమిది. Luna: ఎనిమిది. That's a bit longer. ఎనిమిది. Lucas: You got it. ఎనిమిది. Now nine: తొమ్మిది. Luna: తొమ్మిది. తొమ్మిది. That one's fun. Lucas: And finally ten: పది. Luna: పది. Like the Greek island? Just kidding. పది. Lucas: Let's say them all together. Repeat after me: ఆరు, ఏడు, ఎనిమిది, తొమ్మిది, పది. Luna: ఆరు, ఏడు, ఎనిమిది, తొమ్మిది, పది. I did it! Lucas: You sure did. Now let's try a little practice. How do you say 'six apples'? Luna: Umm... ఆరు ఆపిల్స్? Lucas: Close. In Telugu, we say ఆరు ఆపిల్స్. You're right. Actually, we often just say the number and then the word. So ఆరు ఆపిల్స్ works. But for fruits we learned earlier, we can say ఆరు ఆపిల్స్. Good job. Luna: Oh, so just like English order. Lucas: Exactly. Now, what about 'seven bananas'? Luna: ఏడు అరటిపండ్లు? Lucas: Perfect. ఏడు అరటిపండ్లు. And 'eight mangoes'? Luna: ఎనిమిది మామిడిపండ్లు. Lucas: Awesome. You're a natural. Now let's see if Fexingo's been helping you with numbers. Lucas: Seven. Luna: ఏడు. Lucas: Eight. Luna: ఎనిమిది. Lucas: Nine. Luna: తొమ్మిది. Lucas: Ten. Luna: పది. Lucas: Excellent. Now let's try combining with yesterday's words. How do you say 'eight books'? Luna: ఎనిమిది పుస్తకాలు? Lucas: Yes! And 'ten chairs'? Luna: పది కుర్చీలు. Lucas: Fantastic. You're really getting it. Let's do a little scene. Imagine you're at a market and you want to buy six mangoes. What do you say? Luna: నాకు ఆరు మామిడిపండ్లు కావాలి. Lucas: Perfect. And the vendor says 'anything else?' You say 'no, that's it'. Luna: అంతే. Lucas: You've got it. Let's review once more: ఆరు, ఏడు, ఎనిమిది, తొమ్మిది, పది. Luna: ఆరు, ఏడు, ఎనిమిది, తొమ్మిది, పది. Lucas: Perfect. Practice these and next time we'll put them together in longer phrases. Until then, keep counting in Telugu. Luna: Thanks, Lucas! Bye everyone.
