- 0:42Speaker 3: And a couple weeks back, comedian, actor Craig Robinson was
- 0:46Speaker 3: in town.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Yeah, he is so funny. We know him for The Office.
- 0:52Speaker 4: It was Daryl and maybe Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It was Doug Judy.
- 0:55Speaker 4: He was in the Hot Tub Time Machine.
- 0:57Speaker 1: He's been in so many things. He's got a very,
- 0:58Speaker 1: very long IMDb page.
- 1:00Speaker 4: And his stand-up is also fantastic.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Going to play you some of that conversation coming up
- 1:06Speaker 3: today just after 8 with our Friday friends at Danny
- 1:10Speaker 3: and Cole.
- 1:10Speaker 1: They did what?
- 1:12Speaker 4: A guy on social media is going viral because he
- 1:15Speaker 4: asked his wife if it was okay if he wore
- 1:18Speaker 4: pajama bottoms that are covered in golden retriever faces to Target.
- 1:24Speaker 4: They disagreed, so he put it on social media and asked,
- 1:28Speaker 4: and most people said.
- 1:30Speaker 3: No.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Most people said yes. Wow. I was surprised by that
- 1:35Speaker 1: as well.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I'm used to everyone just posting pictures of people in
- 1:38Speaker 3: their pajamas at Walmart.
- 1:39Speaker 1: He's going to Target.
- 1:40Speaker 3: So I thought I'd like step it up a little bit.
- 1:43Speaker 1: That's exactly what I thought.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Is it because it's a golden retriever on it?
- 1:46Speaker 1: They were like, that makes it OK. It's got dogs
- 1:49Speaker 1: on it. So it's fine.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Fine.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Is good review friday with annie and cole this is.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Your time to shine if somebody if some business really
- 2:01Speaker 3: wowed you this week we want to give them the
- 2:03Speaker 3: shout out that they deserve i love.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Good review fridays yesterday i have been this is actually
- 2:09Speaker 4: my only second time going there and both times i
- 2:12Speaker 4: have loved it can can which is a movie.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Theater i don't even know where this is um I'm terrible.
- 2:22Speaker 4: I wish I could explain it better to you. It's
- 2:25Speaker 4: not that far off of Mass Ave, like the north
- 2:27Speaker 4: part of Mass Ave.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You do go to a lot of places over there
- 2:31Speaker 1: that I don't. I'm like, oh, yeah, I need to
- 2:33Speaker 1: hang out.
- 2:33Speaker 4: It's like such like it feels like a super cool,
- 2:38Speaker 4: like nostalgic movie theater experience.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And they like have good food there. Yeah. King Doe
- 2:44Speaker 1: does the pizza there, which is great. And the popcorn,
- 2:48Speaker 1: I got a small bag of popcorn. Four dollars.
- 2:51Speaker 4: You cannot go to another movie theater and get popcorn
- 2:53Speaker 4: for $ 4.
- 2:53Speaker 1: That's a great price.
- 2:55Speaker 4: And I went and saw You Can See Everything, which
- 2:58Speaker 4: is the new Nathan Fielder, Elizabeth Holmes documentary.
- 3:02Speaker 1: It's insane. Go see that movie.
- 3:04Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 3:05Speaker 3: You came in and immediately, like, one, you have homework.
- 3:08Speaker 1: And I was like, homework?
- 3:09Speaker 2: I just walked in the door.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it's wild. But I do love Can-Can. Go to
- 3:14Speaker 1: a movie at Can-Can. Got a good review?
- 3:16Speaker 4: Call or text 317-663-9797.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Amy and Cole. 97.1 Hank FM.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Shout out to listener Christina who called in and basically
- 3:29Speaker 3: just told us we were awesome, which we always love
- 3:32Speaker 3: to hear listening in Brown County.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Which can we give a shout out to Brown County?
- 3:37Speaker 2: I love Brown County.
- 3:38Speaker 3: She did say that it's crazy this time of year
- 3:40Speaker 3: because yeah, everyone's flocking there.
- 3:41Speaker 1: To see the fall colors, right?
- 3:44Speaker 4: Yes.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Which I think we're starting to finally see, because when
- 3:48Speaker 3: we were in Park County last weekend for the Cover
- 3:50Speaker 3: Bridge Festival, it was barely turning still.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Oh, really? I feel like I've seen some pretty good
- 3:55Speaker 4: ones so far. I also saw a map the other
- 3:58Speaker 4: day that was like, here's where all the leaves are turning.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Kathy on the Arm Air text line said, a shout
- 4:04Speaker 4: out to the third grade football team from Avon that
- 4:07Speaker 4: got a 12 to 7 win last night. Congratulations to them.
- 4:12Speaker 4: High school football sectionals start tonight, I believe. And I
- 4:17Speaker 4: am pretty sure one of the big ones is South
- 4:20Speaker 4: Putnam versus Cascade. I'm trying to remember this. Specifically, this
- 4:27Speaker 4: fact about this game, I heard it from Greg Rakeshaw,
- 4:30Speaker 4: who is one of our local sports guys. And because
- 4:35Speaker 4: they both moved classes, they're in the same class this year,
- 4:40Speaker 4: but they both won.
- 4:41Speaker 1: State championships last year.
- 4:43Speaker 4: And it's like the first time this has ever happened
- 4:45Speaker 4: that they play in the first round.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I think I have that right.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I'm not 100% sure, but it.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Was something like pretty crazy like that. So if you
- 4:52Speaker 1: got a team playing tonight, good luck. you really want
- 4:55Speaker 1: to know annie and cole want.
- 4:57Speaker 3: To know i saw this meme or should i say
- 5:00Speaker 3: i was attacked by this meme i was just aimlessly
- 5:03Speaker 3: scrolling through instagram the other day and it said what
- 5:08Speaker 3: rule did your pet make up that now the whole
- 5:10Speaker 3: family has to follow because we like to think that
- 5:13Speaker 3: like i tell my.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Dogs what to do Not at our house. <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>
- 5:20Speaker 1: They tell us what to do.
- 5:23Speaker 3: And I realized we started this thing when Jax, our dog,
- 5:26Speaker 3: was a puppy.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And it was cute.
- 5:28Speaker 3: It's always cute when they're a puppy, right?
- 5:29Speaker 1: Because they're little.
- 5:30Speaker 3: And then Jax grows into like a 60-pound dog. And
- 5:35Speaker 3: then suddenly, maybe not as cute, still as lovable, he
- 5:39Speaker 3: wants to dance. He loves to dance. And what this
- 5:43Speaker 3: means is, Usually before bed, he'll will jump on the
- 5:46Speaker 3: bed and he'll look at you and you have to
- 5:49Speaker 3: come over to the bed and he jumps up and
- 5:51Speaker 3: puts his paws around your neck and then you have
- 5:52Speaker 3: to pick up his butt and you have to dance
- 5:54Speaker 3: with him.
- 5:55Speaker 1: To imagine your music, there's no music playing.
- 5:58Speaker 3: You just dance with the dog as he like basically
- 6:02Speaker 3: gives you kisses and then you have to go wash
- 6:04Speaker 3: your face because you're like, oh my gosh, gross. Yeah.
- 6:06Speaker 3: And then he just goes, he goes in his other
- 6:08Speaker 3: room and goes to bed. He doesn't even sleep in
- 6:09Speaker 3: our room anymore. He just comes in to dance and
- 6:12Speaker 3: then he leaves.
- 6:14Speaker 1: That's hilarious.
- 6:15Speaker 3: And if you don't dance with him, he will just
- 6:17Speaker 3: stare at you in your spot in bed until you dance.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I love that.
- 6:23Speaker 1: That's amazing.
- 6:23Speaker 3: So we dance.
- 6:24Speaker 1: That's hilarious.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Again, easier when he was like 10 pounds.
- 6:28Speaker 5: Right.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Now he's 60. So I'm like.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:31Speaker 1: It's like a workout before bed every night.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Our dog Reggie gets dessert every time he eats.
- 6:39Speaker 1: It used to be like one of the.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Bakery like dog bakery cookie sort of things but we
- 6:45Speaker 4: learned that he likes just baby carrots better than he
- 6:50Speaker 4: likes those cookies so he it's healthier for him too
- 6:52Speaker 4: great he switched to baby carrots so he gets a
- 6:54Speaker 4: baby carrot every time after he eats and he's kind
- 6:57Speaker 4: of a bully about it too and that after he
- 7:00Speaker 4: eats he will run over to the fridge and like
- 7:02Speaker 4: bark and yell at you like get me this carrot
- 7:05Speaker 4: where's the dessert yeah i ate and now i get
- 7:08Speaker 4: dessert what rule did.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Your pet make up now your whole house has to
- 7:12Speaker 1: follow annie and cole want to know we all like to.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Think as the humans that we make the rules in
- 7:17Speaker 3: our house not at our house i like to think
- 7:21Speaker 3: that cole you probably don't make any rules anymore because
- 7:23Speaker 3: you have not only a little dog that's bossing you
- 7:26Speaker 3: around but you got a little lady that's also bossing
- 7:28Speaker 3: you around.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Both so bossy it's so cute You just do whatever
- 7:33Speaker 1: they tell you to do. What is that rule?
- 7:35Speaker 3: You're pet made up. The whole family has to follow.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Good morning, Heather. We have a cat that at any
- 7:41Speaker 1: point during the night, even if it's 3 a.m., if
- 7:44Speaker 1: he comes up and licks your hand, you must pet
- 7:46Speaker 1: him or he will bite you. Just dead asleep.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 7:54Speaker 3: There's the cat.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Better pet him. Better pet him.
- 7:59Speaker 2: That's funny.
- 8:00Speaker 3: How long did it take you to learn that this
- 8:02Speaker 3: was what you were having to do?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Not very long.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I feel like the third time he bit me, I'm like, okay,
- 8:08Speaker 1: this is a thing now. Everyone must follow it. Thank
- 8:12Speaker 1: you for calling, Heather.
- 8:12Speaker 3: We hope you have a great weekend.
- 8:14Speaker 4: I had a family friend one time that when they
- 8:17Speaker 4: had a puppy, the puppy.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Would come up and bite their toes in the middle
- 8:20Speaker 1: of the night.
- 8:22Speaker 3: It's always got to be so alarming at first. Like,
- 8:25Speaker 3: what is happening?
- 8:26Speaker 5: And you're like, oh.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Here we go again.
- 8:29Speaker 3: What is that rule your pet made up that now
- 8:31Speaker 3: the whole family.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Just has to follow? Something you want to say? Give
- 8:37Speaker 1: Annie and Cole a call.
- 8:38Speaker 4: 317-663-9797.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Good morning. This is Teresa from Pendleton.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Woo! We like the energy. What's going on?
- 8:46Speaker 1: First-time caller.
- 8:49Speaker 5: Yeah!
- 8:49Speaker 1: We love first-time callers. Let's not make it your last call, though.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Good point.
- 8:54Speaker 3: I got a cat that is a pang. She thinks
- 8:58Speaker 3: that every time we get our feet hit the.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Floor, if we get out of a chair, you have
- 9:03Speaker 2: to put food on her plate.
- 9:04Speaker 3: So now we have to fake feed her because otherwise
- 9:09Speaker 3: she's getting too fat. Yeah. So we'll get the can
- 9:12Speaker 3: of food and we'll put a little bit on her
- 9:14Speaker 3: plate because it's canned. She won't eat the dry.
- 9:16Speaker 2: And we put that on there and then she'll shut
- 9:19Speaker 2: up and leave us alone.
- 9:22Speaker 3: I like that, you know, we just accept this as
- 9:24Speaker 3: our life now, you know? Yes.
- 9:26Speaker 2: You know, got a fake feed.
- 9:27Speaker 3: I'll tell my husband, fake feed her.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Don't give her anymore.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Hilarious.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Well, you guys have a great day.
- 9:36Speaker 1: You too. Thanks for calling. Thank you.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Bye.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Annie and Cole. Friday Friends. 97.1 Hank FM.
- 9:46Speaker 2: The Office.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Hot Tub Time Machine. This is the end.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Toy Story 5.
- 9:51Speaker 4: I am so excited for our guest in studio, Craig Robinson.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 9:56Speaker 4: So I'm a huge fan of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. My wife
- 9:59Speaker 4: is a huge fan of The Office. So I told
- 10:01Speaker 4: her you were coming in. I said, do you have
- 10:02Speaker 4: a question that you would like me to ask him?
- 10:05Speaker 4: She sat there and thought about it for a second
- 10:06Speaker 4: and she goes, yeah, just ask him, how is he
- 10:09Speaker 4: so talented? Like the comedy, the acting, the music, like
- 10:13Speaker 4: I feel like you do it all.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Oh, that's very nice of her. Thank you. You know,
- 10:18Speaker 2: I get it from my mama.
- 10:20Speaker 5: A mother, when she was pregnant with us, she was like,
- 10:25Speaker 5: because she's a musician. She's rest in peace now, but
- 10:29Speaker 5: she's a musician. She taught music. She was a choir
- 10:36Speaker 5: director at church. So we have it in our blood
- 10:41Speaker 5: to perform and learn music.
- 10:44Speaker 2: And do music. So that led to everything else. Yeah.
- 10:46Speaker 4: I was going to ask it like, what age do
- 10:48Speaker 4: you kind of start to figure these things out that
- 10:50Speaker 4: you're really good at all this stuff, but it sounds
- 10:53Speaker 4: like before you were even born.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Yeah. It was, it's, we were born into it for sure.
- 10:58Speaker 2: For sure.
- 10:58Speaker 5: And then, and then we, our house was, you know,
- 11:02Speaker 5: there was a piano upstairs, downstairs, organ, drums, all those
- 11:06Speaker 5: instruments everywhere.
- 11:07Speaker 3: It was a stupid part of such like iconic shows
- 11:10Speaker 3: that are still aired every day.
- 11:12Speaker 1: On TV. Is it weird?
- 11:14Speaker 3: I mean, you could just walk into a dentist's office
- 11:16Speaker 3: and they were going to have one of your shows
- 11:18Speaker 3: on and you're right there.
- 11:20Speaker 5: It was weird for a while. Now you get kind
- 11:22Speaker 5: of used to it, especially on planes. It's like, okay, there.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I am. It's definitely, you know, it's always a little
- 11:31Speaker 2: bit humbling.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Do you have a favorite character that you've played?
- 11:34Speaker 5: I love Doug Judy. I love playing Doug Judy on
- 11:37Speaker 5: Brooklyn Nine-Nine. But I think a character that nobody ever
- 11:42Speaker 5: saw this movie, but, uh, Raptor Palooza, I played the Antichrist.
- 11:46Speaker 2: That was a lot of fun.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Are you watching a lot of comedy or are you watching,
- 11:52Speaker 4: you know, sci-fi or scary movies or?
- 11:55Speaker 2: I don't watch a lot of comedy.
- 11:57Speaker 5: Like, you know, I go to comedy clubs all the time,
- 12:00Speaker 5: but it's usually, you know, you're hanging out in the
- 12:01Speaker 5: back waiting for your spot or what have you. But, uh,
- 12:04Speaker 5: for the most part, I don't watch a lot. I
- 12:05Speaker 5: used to listen to a lot, especially when the serious, uh,
- 12:08Speaker 5: radio came out.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Um, Is that okay to mention?
- 12:13Speaker 1: Yeah. We know it exists.
- 12:22Speaker 5: But I used to listen to it all the time,
- 12:23Speaker 5: but I haven't of late. It was probably the last
- 12:27Speaker 5: 10 years or so.
- 12:28Speaker 4: We are a country music station. Do you have a
- 12:30Speaker 4: favorite country artist, country song?
- 12:32Speaker 2: Well, I have a, you know, blame it all on
- 12:36Speaker 2: my roots. There's that.
- 12:39Speaker 5: And then I'm not, One of my favorites is Devil
- 12:41Speaker 5: Went Down to Georgia. I do like some country music.
- 12:47Speaker 5: I like the passion and the rawness.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Before we came to Love You as all these characters,
- 12:55Speaker 3: we were talking a little bit off the air about this.
- 12:58Speaker 3: You were a music teacher in my hometown of Hammond.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I went to a Catholic school, so I didn't get
- 13:02Speaker 3: the luck of having you as my music teacher.
- 13:04Speaker 1: But I have a lot of friends I grew up with.
- 13:05Speaker 1: They're like, dude, that was our music teacher.
- 13:09Speaker 2: That's amazing. Wow. And you know some of them.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I do, yeah.
- 13:12Speaker 3: They brag about it. They kind of rub it in
- 13:13Speaker 3: my face because I was a Catholic school girl. I
- 13:15Speaker 3: didn't get to go to public school.
- 13:16Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 13:17Speaker 1: But would you ever go back to teaching? What was
- 13:20Speaker 1: that experience like for you looking.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Back on it? Go back to teaching?
- 13:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:27Speaker 1: They pay so well, though, you know?
- 13:29Speaker 5: Maybe as a guest lecturer or something, a workshop class
- 13:36Speaker 5: or whatever those classes are called when you do, maybe
- 13:38Speaker 5: come for a week or something.
- 13:40Speaker 2: I wouldn't be averse to that.
- 13:41Speaker 5: I don't think I would go back to doing it
- 13:44Speaker 5: every single day, even though I did get some great
- 13:48Speaker 5: sleep once I would get home from teaching. There's no
- 13:52Speaker 5: sleep like that. There's no sleep like a teacher gets sleep.
- 13:55Speaker 5: As soon as they hit the door, don't.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Even take your clothes off. Yeah, my wife's a teacher.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I get it.
- 14:03Speaker 4: We love our teachers, and we love you. Anything that
- 14:05Speaker 4: you are working on that you're really excited about right now?
- 14:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but I can't even talk about it.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Oh, is that vague?
- 14:12Speaker 2: You'll know. You'll be like, I bet that's what he
- 14:14Speaker 2: was talking about.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Craig Robinson, thank you so much for joining us this morning.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Thank you. You're welcome. Love you, India.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Annie and Cole. I wake up with Annie and Cole
- 14:23Speaker 1: every morning.
- 14:24Speaker 2: It's a great way to start my day. On 97.1
- 14:25Speaker 2: Hank FM.
