- 1:12Speaker 3: You know, we had stupid that was spoiling because we
- 1:16Speaker 3: were sitting on it so long.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I mean mountains and mountains of stupid. Most people call
- 1:23Speaker 1: it content, but for us, it's mountains of stupid. Like
- 1:27Speaker 1: you said, here's going to waste and uh and you

- 2:22Speaker 1: that preceded this one. So we're very excited for you, Trey.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Thank you, I I while congratulations are in order, is
- 2:37Speaker 1: there a gift that we should get you? And I
- 2:39Speaker 1: know you said that you're a sweets fiend now as
- 2:42Speaker 1: our most recovering alcoholics, because before I don't think I
- 2:46Speaker 1: really ever recall you craving any sweets at all. In
- 2:51Speaker 1: days now you're just like running around some like a
- 2:55Speaker 1: like a kid who's chasing Willy wonka.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Oh, I guess my first day of sobriety, like it's
- 3:02Speaker 3: I would have gutted somebody for a snicker doodle and
- 3:05Speaker 3: still yeah.
- 3:06Speaker 4: That's little whitest thing I've ever heard anybody say.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I love doodles.
- 3:11Speaker 4: That's cinnamon. Is that what that is?
- 3:13Speaker 2: Cinnamon and sugar?
- 3:15Speaker 4: Oh gotcha?
- 3:15Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, it's It's the perfect balance, cinnamon brown sugar.
- 3:20Speaker 2: It's just fun.
- 3:23Speaker 1: It's also a tray's prison name.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Brown Show was my nickname in college.
- 3:29Speaker 1: So well yeah, well no, you're ra Your nickname in
- 3:32Speaker 1: college was brown sugar. And as we found out last episode, yes,
- 3:35Speaker 1: super would Uh, Trey's nickname is snickerdoodle.
- 3:41Speaker 4: So you started to So that's the thing, right, is sweets? Now?
- 3:45Speaker 3: Yeah, your body when you're used, when your body is
- 3:50Speaker 3: used to that much sugar, especially for me, when you
- 3:52Speaker 3: drank every day for twenty five years. Yeah, that much
- 3:55Speaker 3: sugar in your system, it constantly craves it.
- 3:57Speaker 2: So yeah, it's and.
- 4:00Speaker 4: What was the drink of choice? So what was? I
- 4:02Speaker 4: didn't know you when you were drinking? So Jack Daniels,
- 4:05Speaker 4: Jack Daniels, Okay, I mean I went.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Through a Scotch phase, went through Uh this is this
- 4:09Speaker 3: is how much I drank. And you have to remember
- 4:12Speaker 3: the Old Loon. The Old Loon is a very popular bar.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And uh, may she rest in peace crossed and.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Uh it served a three ounce poor And you know
- 4:23Speaker 3: I said, you know, you could drink at the Loon,
- 4:24Speaker 3: you could drink anywhere, and that was true. But I
- 4:26Speaker 3: drink so much when I switched from Stowy Orange to
- 4:30Speaker 3: Jack Daniels, it affected their inventory.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Really yeah.
- 4:39Speaker 1: And not only that, but when you stopped drinking, it
- 4:42Speaker 1: affected their bottom line. That's exactly it. Look there, there
- 4:47Speaker 1: is is there's a reason why the Loon. There's a
- 4:50Speaker 1: reason why we say rest in peace to the Loon.
- 4:52Speaker 1: It's because Drake went sober and they went out of business.
- 4:56Speaker 1: And that bar was open since the sixties.
- 4:58Speaker 4: They turned into a shell.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Actually, the CVSES.
- 5:05Speaker 3: If that was if you knew, if you knew the
- 5:07Speaker 3: number of excellent patrons that are in the rooms of AA.
- 5:15Speaker 4: So that was a drink of choice, was just straight
- 5:17Speaker 4: jack jack and diet jack.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And diet yeah.
- 5:20Speaker 2: So drinking. Yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 1: So when Troy when alcohol, well, when Tray quit drinking,
- 5:27Speaker 1: he demolished not only Jack Daniel's bottom line, but diet
- 5:30Speaker 1: Cokes as well. I just multiple industries felt the effects
- 5:35Speaker 1: of it.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I kept up diet coke until about three years ago
- 5:39Speaker 3: and then finally kicked that habit. But that was that
- 5:42Speaker 3: was a blow to their bottom line because I mean
- 5:44Speaker 3: I used to have one of those big, huge seven
- 5:46Speaker 3: eleven cups, like the yeah, sixty four I think it
- 5:50Speaker 3: was bigger than sixty four ounces that I would.
- 5:52Speaker 2: They did diet coke.
- 5:53Speaker 1: They renamed it the Trinholm Golden Yeah.
- 5:58Speaker 4: So what's the okay?
- 6:00Speaker 5: So you no more giant cokes, no more alcohol?
- 6:05Speaker 4: H Like, what do you? No more nicotine? No more nicotine?
- 6:08Speaker 4: I know you.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I miss I miss nicotine. God.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I I could give a rat's ass about ever drinking again.
- 6:14Speaker 3: But man, if if I could have, if they would
- 6:17Speaker 3: give me a vice that you could do without any ramifications, yeah, man,
- 6:22Speaker 3: I would, I would.
- 6:23Speaker 2: I would sprint.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I would pull a hammy sprinting to the storage to
- 6:27Speaker 3: buy a can of skull.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Oh.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Interesting, so you went you're going to smokeless?
- 6:33Speaker 4: Okay? Yeah?
- 6:34Speaker 3: I mean I dipped for twenty two years. I mean,
- 6:38Speaker 3: and it's kind of like vaping. You pretty much do
- 6:40Speaker 3: it everywhere. But yeah, it dip or vape.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Uh, I wouldn't probably smoke just because of the smell's
- 6:46Speaker 3: but god, yeah I would.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I would go buy a can of skull so fast I.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Cut? Is that? What was that yours?
- 6:56Speaker 6: Uh?
- 6:56Speaker 7: No?
- 6:56Speaker 3: So I start off Copenhagen, the regular skull, skull mint.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Then at the end it was skull mit pouches.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Oh my god, it's Copenhagen. That's just all on your teeth.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's Copenhagen is an art form. It really is.
- 7:12Speaker 3: When you see somebody really knows like they how you
- 7:14Speaker 3: pack it and you get the little lip on it,
- 7:16Speaker 3: and then you get in there and dig it in.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You have two fingers and just shove it in there.
- 7:21Speaker 1: We need to leave you alone for a minute. Light
- 7:27Speaker 1: a candle.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Oh the good old days.
- 7:30Speaker 1: But on some men, congratulations eight years sober and not
- 7:40Speaker 1: missing the alcohol. But clearly there's a there's still some
- 7:44Speaker 1: hard up feelings for the tobacco side of you.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Nicotine. Yeah, that's my girl.
- 7:52Speaker 4: That's why he's single.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Trade doesn't do well with ultimatums.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't do well ultimatums or moderation.
- 8:05Speaker 1: That just means you live life to the fullest, taking
- 8:09Speaker 1: it all in.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Yeah, very that's that's.
- 8:13Speaker 4: That's a huge, huge achievement. Man. Eight years, that's incredible.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Oh thank you.
- 8:22Speaker 5: I had a punchline somewhere, but uh, I'm sctually really
- 8:26Speaker 5: proud of you.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Rank it.
- 8:28Speaker 4: It's okay, that's amazing. Eight years.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And now he's turning into a sugar fiend, or he
- 8:37Speaker 1: has turned into a.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Sugar crackhead for snickerdoodles.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Yeah, TIFFs treat like TIFFs treats. You know, it's like
- 8:46Speaker 3: a dealer just coming at you.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Yeah, if you I know, we have tiff treat TIFFs
- 8:51Speaker 1: treats drivers that listen to the show. And so if
- 8:54Speaker 1: you see a crazed white man chasing you, odds are
- 8:58Speaker 1: its tray?
- 9:01Speaker 4: I would I would go, uh the white chocolate macadamia that.
- 9:06Speaker 2: And that and snickerdoodle set. That's my two favorites. I'll
- 9:10Speaker 2: put them together and eat the mic and like a sandwich.
- 9:14Speaker 4: You'll scissor them.
- 9:17Speaker 2: In more ways than one.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It got weird again.
- 9:29Speaker 7: To make it weird, visit us online that Treehouse on
- 9:34Speaker 7: air dot com.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Very happy to welcome inside the Treehouse our newest sponsor,
- 9:47Speaker 1: fair Lease. You know, there are two things that we
- 9:50Speaker 1: can never have enough of time and money, and fair
- 9:53Speaker 1: leaves can help you save both. Here's how fair leaves
- 9:57Speaker 1: can save you time the car buying process. It is
- 9:59Speaker 1: absolutely grueling when you go to a dealership, hours wasted.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Sometimes you don't even get the car the same day,
- 10:06Speaker 1: even though you're staring at it right there in the lot.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Fairlease handles everything online or over the phone, no wasting
- 10:14Speaker 1: hours in a dealership waiting room or a sales office.
- 10:17Speaker 1: God forbid. You can actually browse the entire inventory online.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Or if there's a specific vehicle you're wanting, you can
- 10:24Speaker 1: ask fair Lease and they will go get it for you,
- 10:27Speaker 1: and then they bring it right to you, not you
- 10:30Speaker 1: going to the dealership and wandering around or any of that.
- 10:32Speaker 1: No fair Lease and your leasing consultant will bring the
- 10:35Speaker 1: vehicle you want right to you, and you can sign
- 10:37Speaker 1: all the documents online, no wasted time. Now, this is
- 10:41Speaker 1: how fair lease can save you money. Leasing costs less
- 10:45Speaker 1: than buying. Instead of paying for the whole vehicle like
- 10:48Speaker 1: you do when you buy, you only pay for the
- 10:50Speaker 1: least portion when you lease. What that means is if
- 10:53Speaker 1: the vehicle's fifty thousand dollars and you buy it you're
- 10:55Speaker 1: gonna spend fifty thousand dollars, actually more when you factor
- 10:57Speaker 1: in the interest. But when you lease, if that vehicle
- 11:00Speaker 1: is gonna have ten thousand dollars of residual value when
- 11:02Speaker 1: you turn it in when the lease term is up,
- 11:05Speaker 1: that's forty thousand dollars. You're only leasing the forty thousand
- 11:07Speaker 1: dollars portion.
- 11:08Speaker 2: So there you go.
- 11:08Speaker 1: You're saving ten thousand dollars right then and there. So,
- 11:11Speaker 1: unless you're driving your vehicles into the dirt, you're already leasing.
- 11:15Speaker 1: You're just paying more than you should. So you should
- 11:18Speaker 1: call fairlease and you can see the difference leasing can
- 11:21Speaker 1: make to you and your budget. Fair lease any make
- 11:24Speaker 1: any model brought to you and for less. That's not
- 11:27Speaker 1: just fair, it's fairlease. Find them online fairlease dot org.
- 11:32Speaker 1: That's fairlease dot org. The phone number to call or
- 11:36Speaker 1: email the leasing consultant is there right there on the website.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Go to it right now. Fairlease dot orgs.
- 11:52Speaker 8: Online Free on air dot com.
- 11:56Speaker 1: That first segment brought to you by Fairlease. Fairly dot
- 12:00Speaker 1: org is their website. This segment, this segment is brought
- 12:04Speaker 1: to you by our friends at Cook DFW Roofing and
- 12:07Speaker 1: Restoration give them a call for your free roof inspection
- 12:09Speaker 1: eight three three Cook DFW, the website, cookdfw dot com.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Big thank you to all of our sponsors Fairleas, COOKDFW
- 12:18Speaker 1: Roofing and Restoration and Brooks Plumbing for making the Treehouse
- 12:23Speaker 1: go five days a week. It's because of them that
- 12:25Speaker 1: were able to do it and bring it to you.
- 12:28Speaker 1: So do us a solid by doing them a solid
- 12:31Speaker 1: and give them your business. That makes everybody happy. It's
- 12:33Speaker 1: just just a win, win win. Everybody loves it. And
- 12:35Speaker 1: that's scenario. Fairleas wins, Cook DFW wins, Brooks Plumbing wins.
- 12:39Speaker 1: We win, you win. Everybody went see. Everybody's happy, except
- 12:42Speaker 1: for the people on the radio. They're all sad right now.
- 12:48Speaker 1: One of the great things that doing this show in
- 12:50Speaker 1: this fashion, one of the things I love about it
- 12:55Speaker 1: is being able to do it from wherever we want.
- 12:57Speaker 1: You know, Trey, you're in Dallas. I'm currently in Seattle
- 13:01Speaker 1: because the weather's really nice here. And I know you
- 13:03Speaker 1: don't want to hear that, but it is. And Roger's
- 13:06Speaker 1: stuck in this squite. That's a u issue that you
- 13:08Speaker 1: have to figure that out on your own.
- 13:10Speaker 4: But I was in Wichita this morning, so I'll take
- 13:12Speaker 4: them skeit every day.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Oh God.
- 13:17Speaker 1: But there are downsides to being a professional nomad, which
- 13:22Speaker 1: is kind of what I am now, and that is
- 13:26Speaker 1: you're not always guaranteed the quality of the place that
- 13:29Speaker 1: you stay. Right. What I'm talking about is we are
- 13:34Speaker 1: in our airbnb. It's actually through a different company called
- 13:37Speaker 1: Furnished Finder. It's for like medium term rentals. The only
- 13:40Speaker 1: reason I mentioned that is because maybe if they'd like
- 13:43Speaker 1: to come on and advertise, we'd be happy to have them.
- 13:45Speaker 1: That being said, I may ruin them here. Just briefly.
- 13:47Speaker 1: The place we're staying in Seattle from Furnished Finder is
- 13:50Speaker 1: very nice. We like it, We enjoyed, it's comfortable, and
- 13:52Speaker 1: it's in a great location everything we were looking for. However,
- 13:55Speaker 1: we think it's haunted. And by we, I mean my wife.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Okay, but as.
- 14:00Speaker 1: You guys know, if you're in a relationship long enough,
- 14:03Speaker 1: she becomes we. Yes, So if she thinks the airbnb
- 14:08Speaker 1: is haunted, then we're haunted.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Right, Why what's happened?
- 14:14Speaker 4: I mean just.
- 14:18Speaker 2: I just think they're like, it's just like the bat
- 14:19Speaker 2: thing where she.
- 14:20Speaker 1: You know, well, the bats were real, Trey, I had
- 14:23Speaker 1: I had a land on my chest.
- 14:27Speaker 2: You may have a ghost taken up on it your chest.
- 14:33Speaker 2: They have a big bull's eye. I don't know.
- 14:35Speaker 5: I'm just saying, is that like maybe there's a ghost fetish.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Look, the bats were real, Okay, that was a real thing.
- 14:42Speaker 3: So you're saying so you're saying, yeah, your wife is
- 14:45Speaker 3: full of it and it's not haunted.
- 14:47Speaker 1: No, God, no, I'm not saying that at all.
- 14:49Speaker 2: You're saying the bats are real. You're being very specific
- 14:52Speaker 2: at that.
- 14:52Speaker 1: So it's because it laded up a chest. Now when
- 14:56Speaker 1: it comes to being haunted. Now, I haven't necessarily felt anything,
- 15:01Speaker 1: or I haven't had to bundle one up in a
- 15:03Speaker 1: trash bag and take it outside like I did with
- 15:06Speaker 1: the bat. But there have been a few weird things
- 15:11Speaker 1: and and so I don't want to completely dismiss my
- 15:14Speaker 1: wife's feelings. That would be bad. But some of the
- 15:16Speaker 1: things that have happened here in the airbnb that leads
- 15:20Speaker 1: her slash me to think that it's haunted. The bedroom
- 15:25Speaker 1: door keeps closing on its own, well, like she'll leave
- 15:30Speaker 1: it open and come back and it's closed. Also, the
- 15:33Speaker 1: bathroom door was closed after she left it open. The
- 15:36Speaker 1: kitchen cabinet was open after she left it closed, opening
- 15:41Speaker 1: the bedroom curtains while we're asleep. Terror feels like that's happened. Also,
- 15:49Speaker 1: there was a there's a there's a mystery tampon in
- 15:52Speaker 1: the bathroom that we didn't bring.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Okay, Dan as as the resident recovering alcoholic, what you
- 16:06Speaker 3: more like a bender than it does a haunting.
- 16:12Speaker 5: You guys should stop drinking during the day's gray.
- 16:16Speaker 1: How drunk do you think I gotta be to venture
- 16:19Speaker 1: into tampon territories? I mean, I'll give you, I'll give
- 16:26Speaker 1: you credit by saying all these things that Tara has
- 16:30Speaker 1: supposedly witnessed that she thinks a ghost is doing his
- 16:33Speaker 1: stuff that I just do regularly, which is leave doors openly,
- 16:37Speaker 1: cabinet doors open, randomly, closed a door here and there.
- 16:41Speaker 1: But I've I've I've not yet.
- 16:44Speaker 5: But you but you know the part of the story
- 16:46Speaker 5: where you guys are just white like you're still staying there,
- 16:51Speaker 5: Well yeah, yeah, see that's the white party.
- 16:53Speaker 4: You. Well, look at.
- 16:59Speaker 2: What is have to do with race.
- 17:01Speaker 5: It's why if I knew I closed the bathroom door
- 17:06Speaker 5: and or left the door open, and I came back
- 17:09Speaker 5: and the door was shut, I move. I don't live
- 17:12Speaker 5: there now. Yeah, but you cabinets, shower curtains. I don't
- 17:17Speaker 5: know what you're I don't know what you're waiting for.
- 17:21Speaker 5: I don't know what part of the ghost is. Like,
- 17:22Speaker 5: hey man, I've warned you.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Well here's the thing. Let's let's entertain this. Let's say
- 17:29Speaker 1: that it is a ghost. Like it's a ghost, and
- 17:33Speaker 1: what's it done. All it's done was close a couple
- 17:35Speaker 1: of doors, open a open a curtain here and there,
- 17:38Speaker 1: and done something with a tampon that we didn't bring. That.
- 17:41Speaker 1: That's the only weird part of it. Nothing's gotten dangerous.
- 17:44Speaker 1: There's no scratches, there's no screaming, there's no climing. There's
- 17:47Speaker 1: nothing that I've seen in any films that has me worried.
- 17:51Speaker 1: There's no there's no little girls running around with axes
- 17:54Speaker 1: yet yet.
- 18:00Speaker 4: That's why I love this man.
- 18:04Speaker 1: So it's not a matter. So it's it's not a
- 18:06Speaker 1: matter of if.
- 18:07Speaker 2: But when yeah sounds like yes.
- 18:11Speaker 4: I'm just I mean, if you're waiting for it, it's
- 18:13Speaker 4: telling you to leave.
- 18:15Speaker 1: How is it telling me to leave?
- 18:20Speaker 5: I'm telling you to leave now, and you guys just
- 18:24Speaker 5: just be white.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Have you ever in your life walked into a room
- 18:27Speaker 3: and seen a tampon and go, I want to stay here.
- 18:33Speaker 4: This is my house now.
- 18:37Speaker 1: To be fair, this is the first for me all
- 18:39Speaker 1: the way around. I've never gone into a place where
- 18:42Speaker 1: there's been a random, mystery tampon. So I don't know
- 18:44Speaker 1: if that if that's supposedly a ghostly warning.
- 18:50Speaker 4: But you've been to a place where a door shut randomly.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Allegedly allegedly, I mean, yes, yes, yes.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Oh, So you're saying he's making it up.
- 19:02Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no.
- 19:03Speaker 4: No, don't don't you tell her?
- 19:06Speaker 1: No, don't you tell her? I said that.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I can see the mirror behind you. I know
- 19:10Speaker 5: she's I know where she's at. So you're saying she's lying.
- 19:16Speaker 1: No, I believe that she believes what she's saying.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I believe.
- 19:24Speaker 4: You know you're not on trial. Right. That sounded like, no, you're.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Right, I'm not on trial because if I was on trial,
- 19:31Speaker 1: i'd have rights.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Okay, so you're not. You're not scared of the place.
- 19:40Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 19:40Speaker 1: No, I mean because I look at it. I'm looking
- 19:42Speaker 1: at it from a stereotypical male point of view, which
- 19:48Speaker 1: is logical. Right, Why are you laughing at me when.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I say that. I'm just thinking that's gonna be a
- 19:56Speaker 2: great promo. Just that.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Okay, it's logic.
- 20:04Speaker 1: The worst thing that even if it even if this
- 20:06Speaker 1: place is haunted, what's the worst thing that's happened that
- 20:09Speaker 1: it opened up a cabinet door.
- 20:12Speaker 5: So here's what I'm trying to say, is something that
- 20:16Speaker 5: has no actual like body parts has opened a door.
- 20:21Speaker 4: And you're okay with that?
- 20:24Speaker 3: I in my you know, because think about like Ghostbusters
- 20:27Speaker 3: and the green thing that slimed everyone. Now you throw
- 20:30Speaker 3: that tampon in the mix, you don't know what's coming next.
- 20:38Speaker 1: You do touch on something that I am concerned about,
- 20:40Speaker 1: which is that I've what what what type of spook
- 20:45Speaker 1: needs a tampon?
- 20:47Speaker 2: One with TMS?
- 20:51Speaker 1: Maybe, so maybe maybe I should leave because imagine my
- 20:58Speaker 1: face if that things come, if that thing comes floating
- 21:01Speaker 1: down the whole way.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Ray's not gonna help you.
- 21:09Speaker 1: As long as it's not dangling from his lip.
- 21:16Speaker 4: There he is.
- 21:20Speaker 8: Online freehouseonair dot com.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Time now to talk to Daniel Cook from COOKDFW Roofing
- 21:34Speaker 1: and Restoration eight three three Cook DFWS the phone number
- 21:37Speaker 1: to call for your free roof inspection and to get
- 21:40Speaker 1: yourself on the cook list the website cookdfw dot com.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I've noticed that it's triple digit forecasted highs for the
- 21:48Speaker 1: next like ten days. You get any calls about people's
- 21:52Speaker 1: roofs dripping off the side of the house.
- 21:54Speaker 6: Dan not not yet, but believe it or not, that
- 21:56Speaker 6: that is a thing. And there are ut is where
- 22:01Speaker 6: there are points where certain shingles and I've witnessed this
- 22:07Speaker 6: that the material that keeps the adhesion of the shingles together,
- 22:13Speaker 6: it's called mastic sometimes and basically that will start melting
- 22:17Speaker 6: and dripping out from underneath the shingles and run down
- 22:20Speaker 6: and it looks like the shingles are crying, and it
- 22:24Speaker 6: basically is so hot that the mastic is melting in
- 22:27Speaker 6: back into liquid from a solid. And so yet that
- 22:31Speaker 6: does happen. And the shingles in Texas, in our South
- 22:35Speaker 6: region are actually supposed to be specifically designed not to
- 22:38Speaker 6: do that, and so a lot of people don't know,
- 22:41Speaker 6: but shingles are actually developed and designed for different regions
- 22:44Speaker 6: throughout the United States and different areas of the country,
- 22:46Speaker 6: and ours because we have such a hot region, they
- 22:50Speaker 6: have to have a higher tolerance of that mastic not melting,
- 22:53Speaker 6: but sometimes the manufacturers mess up are the chemical imbalance
- 22:57Speaker 6: doesn't happen, so they will melt sometimes and it will
- 23:00Speaker 6: start crying on the roof. There's old pictures you can
- 23:02Speaker 6: see on the air, if you ever google it or something.
- 23:05Speaker 4: You can see these.
- 23:05Speaker 6: Roofs that look like they're just crying and they got
- 23:08Speaker 6: all this black streaks going down the side of the roof.
- 23:11Speaker 6: So if that happens to you, that's usually a manufacturer defect,
- 23:15Speaker 6: but we will take care of that for you.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Give that man a call if your roof is crying.
- 23:20Speaker 1: He will help stop the crying. Eight three three Cook

- 24:15Speaker 1: you will have noticed that my television behind me here
- 24:18Speaker 1: was not on. And as we went into that last
- 24:21Speaker 1: commercial break talking about the ghost that I don't think
- 24:24Speaker 1: is real, the TV turned on by itself.
- 24:32Speaker 4: This is when every person of color leaves the building.
- 24:37Speaker 4: I don't know why you're still sitting there. We used
- 24:40Speaker 4: to be doing this podcast from the Starbucks. I don't
- 24:43Speaker 4: want I saw it turn on. I was like, please
- 24:47Speaker 4: tell me, because I can see normally, I can see
- 24:49Speaker 4: Tara through the mirror behind and I was like, there's
- 24:52Speaker 4: no Tara.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Yeah, no, TERA's not at her desk, she's in the bedroom.
- 24:57Speaker 4: That TV turned on by itself. Yeah, and you're staying.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Yeah, how much was the deposit? Like, I'm just real stubborn, Okay,
- 25:13Speaker 1: I'll send you money. I also hate moving, and I've
- 25:16Speaker 1: done I've moved a lot recently, so I'd really like
- 25:18Speaker 1: to stay here for a few more weeks.
- 25:20Speaker 4: I'm just saying I will send you money. Please leave.
- 25:23Speaker 4: I don't know what has to happen to you. If
- 25:27Speaker 4: Tara just starts floating behind you, I'm like, I'm out.
- 25:30Speaker 4: I don't know I'm quoting the show. I'm moving out
- 25:35Speaker 4: of Mesquite. I'm not going to tell you where I
- 25:37Speaker 4: live now.
- 25:40Speaker 2: If the TV just gets stuck on the Hallmark channel.
- 25:46Speaker 5: Or Risolian Aisles, if that's if you're not on that show,
- 25:51Speaker 5: I don't know why you watch it, but no, I
- 25:54Speaker 5: don't know what it will take for you to leave.
- 25:57Speaker 4: This place turned on as we're doing the show.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I think it was in sleep mode.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Sure, so it was the ghost.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Someone the ghost woke up, so did the TV?
- 26:13Speaker 2: Yeah, what a lot of people do wake up? Flip
- 26:15Speaker 2: on the TV.
- 26:18Speaker 1: And see what the previous tenant was logged into? On
- 26:22Speaker 1: which apps?
- 26:24Speaker 4: Or can we scare Dan today?
- 26:26Speaker 5: I don't know what the motivation is, but I if
- 26:30Speaker 5: that would have happened to me, see you, I have
- 26:34Speaker 5: no love loss like, I'll leave every relationship.
- 26:37Speaker 4: I'll walk out on people. I don't that TV turned
- 26:40Speaker 4: on while I was just sitting here.
- 26:43Speaker 1: No, but you stay, Yes, I don't think I'm sure
- 26:48Speaker 1: there's a reasonable logical explanation for it.
- 26:50Speaker 3: So you think you're wife's full of it? Oh, it
- 26:54Speaker 3: sounds like it, like what you're saying.
- 26:56Speaker 1: That I believe. I believe that she believes what she's saying.
- 27:02Speaker 2: She's delusional.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, see now I'm now I'm
- 27:10Speaker 1: actually afraid.
- 27:16Speaker 4: Damn.
- 27:16Speaker 2: They get another place for a whole different reason.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I guess where I'm coming. It's gonna be you, me
- 27:26Speaker 1: and Daisy, Tray.
- 27:30Speaker 4: And the cat.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Oh, speaking of couples, I'm not sure if you guys
- 27:41Speaker 1: are ready for this, but neither were they. I love
- 27:51Speaker 1: this story so much, I think I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 27:54Speaker 1: I'm going to read it almost verbatim as it was
- 27:57Speaker 1: sent to me. Okay, Around six pm on Monday evening,
- 28:03Speaker 1: a couple set out from a public dock on their
- 28:06Speaker 1: paddle boards, paddling a mile through the Cattails and Tavoli
- 28:09Speaker 1: Bays to the railroad bridge, where the bay empties into
- 28:12Speaker 1: the Hudson River. This is upstate New York. The water
- 28:15Speaker 1: was still and the sky was painted with orange light.
- 28:19Speaker 1: The bay, which lies beneath the shore and the Mtrak
- 28:21Speaker 1: railroad causeway, is filled with reed covered berms with open
- 28:25Speaker 1: water channels. One of them said, it was peaceful. The
- 28:29Speaker 1: place is awesome. There are birds and fish jumping and
- 28:32Speaker 1: catching their dinner, and there are beavers, cute beavers. I
- 28:35Speaker 1: thought it was just super. Halfway back to the dock,
- 28:38Speaker 1: they saw a big, cute beaver coming right towards them
- 28:41Speaker 1: and immediately stopped. Maybe it was curious, they thought, or
- 28:44Speaker 1: perhaps they accidentally got too close to its dam and
- 28:47Speaker 1: it was warning them off. The notion that the beaver
- 28:50Speaker 1: could be rabid never entered their minds. It circled around them,
- 28:55Speaker 1: then slammed into the tail of the husband's board, knocking
- 28:59Speaker 1: him to his knees. Coming around to the left side
- 29:01Speaker 1: of the board, the beaver struck again, this time chomping
- 29:04Speaker 1: into the durable, hard plastic of the board, inches away
- 29:08Speaker 1: from his flesh. He says, it latched on, and I'm
- 29:11Speaker 1: just staring down at this beaver. I'm seeing its big
- 29:14Speaker 1: buck teeth and its beady, little angry eyes, and I'm
- 29:16Speaker 1: sort of having this surreal moment thinking there's no way
- 29:19Speaker 1: this is happening right now. I need this board to
- 29:22Speaker 1: stay inflated. I'm not processing that there might be imminent
- 29:25Speaker 1: danger associated with interacting with this beaver instead of fear.
- 29:34Speaker 1: In those first few seconds, he says he was thinking
- 29:37Speaker 1: about how the high quality, pricey paddle board was now
- 29:39Speaker 1: ruined and they weren't going to be able to use
- 29:41Speaker 1: it again. Now there's a beaver with his teeth sunk
- 29:44Speaker 1: through it, and I'm watching the air spurred out into
- 29:46Speaker 1: his face, thinking this is going to deter him.
- 29:49Speaker 4: No such luck.
- 29:52Speaker 1: In case you couldn't figure this out, a couple in
- 29:55Speaker 1: upstate New York had a harrowing tussle with a rabid
- 29:58Speaker 1: beaver near the Hudson River.
- 30:02Speaker 2: A white couple.
- 30:04Speaker 5: Yep, I was gonna say. I didn't want to say it.
- 30:06Speaker 5: I was waiting, who's gonna mention it? They're they're white people.
- 30:12Speaker 5: They're people.
- 30:13Speaker 4: They're the same people that when the TV comes on,
- 30:14Speaker 4: they don't leave.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I mean when the TV comes on by itself.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Yes, they don't leave.
- 30:23Speaker 1: They just keep paddling.
- 30:25Speaker 4: It's you. It's a story about you. No, it's not.
- 30:31Speaker 2: And the woman was probably saying, oh, honey, let's take
- 30:33Speaker 2: it home.
- 30:37Speaker 1: As it's chewing through his leg. The next thing you know,
- 30:43Speaker 1: it shows up on your Instagram feed as a new
- 30:45Speaker 1: post from the Dodo talking about how they rescued a
- 30:47Speaker 1: rabid beaver and the man now they has one foot left.
- 30:55Speaker 5: Yes, no person of color was injured in the story in.
- 31:06Speaker 2: All estates paddle boarding.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Paddle boarding upstate New York.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Rabbit beaver.
- 31:17Speaker 2: And we paused for a second.
- 31:29Speaker 4: For the white folks to catch up.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Anyone of color. It looks like a road runner.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Dot com, let's talk to Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing now
- 31:55Speaker 1: in the treehouse for any and all of your plumbing
- 31:57Speaker 1: once and needs. Give her a call to one four
- 31:59Speaker 1: three six eight thirty eight thirty eight the website Brooks
- 32:01Speaker 1: Plumbing Texas dot com. Jacqueline, how are your online reviews looking?
- 32:05Speaker 1: Even though I'm pretty sure I already know?
- 32:07Speaker 9: Oh okay, So this is like a big deal for us, because,
- 32:10Speaker 9: in case anybody missed the memo, we're a father daughter
- 32:14Speaker 9: duo and there's a massive age gap between the two
- 32:17Speaker 9: of us. So my dad is seventy four and I'm
- 32:19Speaker 9: a fresh thirty six. And my dad was never an
- 32:24Speaker 9: internet man, and so he never put any effort into anything,
- 32:29Speaker 9: the website, the Facebook, the Google business page, whatever, And
- 32:32Speaker 9: so I looked at it the other day and I
- 32:34Speaker 9: remember thinking, oh, my gosh. I mean, obviously the reviews,
- 32:37Speaker 9: there's never been this many because they only get higher,
- 32:39Speaker 9: they don't go away, thank god. But we're sitting almost
- 32:42Speaker 9: at five hundred and fifty. And I ask people all
- 32:46Speaker 9: the time, if I have the chance to get on
- 32:48Speaker 9: the phone with them, you know, how'd you hear about us? Oh?
- 32:49Speaker 9: I saw your Google reviews? And here's something that almost
- 32:53Speaker 9: nobody knows. There is a way to block bad Google
- 32:57Speaker 9: reviews and to maintain a five star ratings. So when
- 33:00Speaker 9: you're looking at service companies, restaurants, anybody where they're showing
- 33:07Speaker 9: like a five point zero, that's almost impossible. You can't
- 33:10Speaker 9: make everybody happy, and there are softwares out there that
- 33:14Speaker 9: allow you to kind of heisman those less than desirable
- 33:19Speaker 9: ratings off, and we.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Don't do that.
- 33:23Speaker 9: So ours are very organic. You can absolutely find some
- 33:26Speaker 9: people that are unhappy. There are few and far between,
- 33:29Speaker 9: but they do exist. Typically there's a misunderstanding involved. I've
- 33:33Speaker 9: received ratings for other companies that aren't US. There's another
- 33:38Speaker 9: Brooks Plumbing way out in Palestine, Texas, and I'm like,
- 33:41Speaker 9: that's not me, I promise, But they're looking good and
- 33:45Speaker 9: they're organic. They're real and that's what we're proud of.
- 33:47Speaker 1: My review for Brooks Plumbing is public, and that is
- 33:50Speaker 1: five stars. And that wasn't heismand and it was not
- 33:53Speaker 1: overly inflated because I honestly believe they did great work
- 33:56Speaker 1: in my house multiple times.
- 33:57Speaker 9: So that's my only football reference, by the way, extent
- 34:00Speaker 9: all the whole extent of the football references.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Hey, you got one and you nailed it. Give Jacqueline
- 34:04Speaker 1: a call for any and all of those plumbing once

- 35:01Speaker 4: And and yet you're staying.
- 35:03Speaker 1: You know what, Honestly, if it is a ghost, then
- 35:06Speaker 1: the ghost and I are gonna, you know, put our
- 35:08Speaker 1: feet up on the couch next to each other. And
- 35:11Speaker 1: I love the Roku screen saver. It's one of my
- 35:13Speaker 1: It's one of life's simple pleasures.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Is it?
- 35:15Speaker 3: The like city scape one? So the ghost couldn't find

- 35:26Speaker 5: I was gonna say, you guys got to Netflix and chills.
- 35:31Speaker 1: We don't currently have a Netflix subscription. We have a
- 35:34Speaker 1: couple of other ones, but we're taking we're taking a
- 35:36Speaker 1: time out from Netflix.
- 35:38Speaker 4: Oh okay, well.
- 35:40Speaker 1: There there hasn't been a whole lot on recently that
- 35:42Speaker 1: we've been wanting to watch, so we're seeing what's on
- 35:45Speaker 1: other apps.
- 35:47Speaker 4: What what are we watching right now.
- 35:50Speaker 1: At the gym. I am in the process of season
- 35:54Speaker 1: four of The Boys Okay, Gotcha, which is interesting to
- 36:00Speaker 1: watch at the gym because.
- 36:03Speaker 4: With the sound on, I have.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Had phones on, but it's more of the visuals.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it's a that's a that's a great show.
- 36:11Speaker 4: It's kind of creepy on the treadmill, but okay or
- 36:14Speaker 4: the elliptical.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it's one of those that you don't want.
- 36:18Speaker 1: You don't want anyone on the piece of equipment next
- 36:21Speaker 1: to you looking over to see what you're watching.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, so that's the show of choice right now
- 36:31Speaker 4: for me.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Yes, we're also rewatching Peacemaker.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I don't know what that is John Cena HBO show.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Just the opening You.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Are like on purpose watching John Cena.
- 36:46Speaker 2: It's he's really good, it is, Raj.
- 36:49Speaker 3: It is just the opening credits alone make the show worthwhile.
- 36:54Speaker 3: But it is a really good show. It's it's based
- 36:57Speaker 3: on the uh Suicide Squad character he played.
- 37:02Speaker 4: MHM the wrestler. Yeah, John Cena, HM, gotcha, And you
- 37:09Speaker 4: guys are.
- 37:10Speaker 2: It's a great show.
- 37:12Speaker 1: You're a wrestling fan, Raj, how I can't believe you're
- 37:14Speaker 1: you're looking down on the act.
- 37:17Speaker 4: Did you see your TV turn off? Did you see
- 37:19Speaker 4: your TV turn back on?
- 37:22Speaker 1: I swear to God, if it pulls up Peacemaker right now,
- 37:24Speaker 1: then I'm believing.
- 37:28Speaker 5: No, I'm I'm I'm friends with a lot of professional wrestlers.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Which is why I'm shocked to hear you look down
- 37:34Speaker 1: upon them turning down.
- 37:35Speaker 4: No, no, no, I would just never watch them on TV
- 37:38Speaker 4: out outside of actually wrestling.
- 37:41Speaker 2: It is listen.
- 37:42Speaker 3: I I was very skeptical of John Cena being able
- 37:46Speaker 3: to carry his own show. It is a great show,
- 37:50Speaker 3: it really, it's so the writing is so good that
- 37:54Speaker 3: it's worth to watch.
- 37:55Speaker 5: Okay, I'm going to go into the next room here
- 37:57Speaker 5: in a second after we're done, and I'm gonna turn
- 37:59Speaker 5: this on and if it's uh, if it's terrible, I
- 38:03Speaker 5: know where you live.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Tre that's fine.
- 38:05Speaker 3: If you don't laugh at the opening credits alone, I
- 38:09Speaker 3: don't know what.
- 38:10Speaker 2: To tell you.
- 38:10Speaker 4: I laugh at the thought of Johnson as an actor.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Because yeah, he acts a lot in it.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, and even even dances a little bit.
- 38:22Speaker 4: TV.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Yeah, the TV went back into sleep mode.
- 38:26Speaker 4: No, it just turned off.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Actually, I think you're right. I think it did turn off.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I've got a bolter Geist.
- 38:41Speaker 2: The ghost is bored with you, and now they art company.

- 39:04Speaker 1: You guys are making way more out of this than
- 39:07Speaker 1: it needs to be.
- 39:08Speaker 5: Okay, I'm just saying for our Patreon viewers, maybe they
- 39:12Speaker 5: can comment and let us know what's going on right
- 39:15Speaker 5: behind you, because that's creepy.
- 39:19Speaker 4: It just turned off.
- 39:22Speaker 1: You know what. It was probably on power save boat
- 39:28Speaker 1: or this Airbnb is built on an old Indian burial ground,
- 39:33Speaker 1: and I will be swallowed up momentarily, in which case
- 39:37Speaker 1: this five days In which case, this five days a
- 39:39Speaker 1: week experiment was real.

- 39:50Speaker 3: And it's Seattle'll be like some hippie commune.
- 39:56Speaker 4: Your ghost is a Buddhist sucks.
- 40:00Speaker 1: That means that means that in order, in order, that
- 40:04Speaker 1: just means they're gonna end up with a drum circle
- 40:06Speaker 1: around this part.
- 40:09Speaker 2: God forbid you don't recycle.
- 40:16Speaker 4: Your ghost is in the solar. I love that your
- 40:26Speaker 4: ghosts uh drives an electric vehicle.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Here's I'd love to be mad at the two of
- 40:34Speaker 1: you for these wanton stereotypes if they weren't actively happening
- 40:38Speaker 1: outside the window right now. I saw I saw that
- 40:46Speaker 1: with a mongole roll by on an electric scooter, and

- 41:27Speaker 2: I dare you.
- 41:31Speaker 4: Say something terrible about Courtney Love?

- 41:42Speaker 1: the couch.
- 41:44Speaker 2: All right.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Look, most of this show was about that damn TV
- 41:48Speaker 1: and whether or not we've got a ghost, which means
- 41:51Speaker 1: I still have all this stuff here that we were
- 41:54Speaker 1: supposed to talk about, but we didn't because we got
- 41:56Speaker 1: distracted by the ghost. And my cat's looking at me weird,
- 41:59Speaker 1: and so the dog and the TV's flickering, and I
- 42:02Speaker 1: don't know what to think anymore, and the guy with
- 42:04Speaker 1: the bongo just rolled back the other way on this
- 42:05Speaker 1: electric scooter. The good news is we can come back
- 42:08Speaker 1: tomorrow and actually talk about some of this stuff that
- 42:11Speaker 1: we didn't get to today. Yay for five days away,
- 42:20Speaker 1: cow black assholes ghosts, one for each of you
