Blessed: The Beatitudes pt. 1 (Matthew 5:3-5) | Andy Johnson
The world says blessed are the successful, the happy, and the powerful. Jesus offers a different picture. In the opening verses of the Sermon on The Mount, we discover what it means to be poor in spirit, to mourn, and to be meek. True fulfillment begins when we recognize our need for God, receive His comfort in our brokenness, and walk in meekness like Jesus.
