- 0:00Speaker 1: Now Jaguars get an ugly win in Pittsburgh, but they
- 0:05Speaker 1: are six and two as we head into the bye week.
- 0:07Speaker 1: What's your letter grade for them so far this season?
- 0:09Speaker 2: Has to be an A. Six and two with what
- 0:11Speaker 2: they've been through schedule wise, I can't imagine it being
- 0:14Speaker 2: anything but an A.
- 0:15Speaker 1: A welcome into Jags am Kayannie Stevens, Brian Sexton, John Osier.
- 0:36Speaker 1: A's all around for this team because you can complain,
- 0:39Speaker 1: you can say they're winning it ugly and they're not
- 0:41Speaker 1: doing what they need to do. But they are six
- 0:42Speaker 1: and two and that's one of the best starts this
- 0:45Speaker 1: team has ever had in the season. And Brian, it's
- 0:48Speaker 1: just remarkable that they've been able to do this. I
- 0:50Speaker 1: know we expected a lot of them, but the way
- 0:52Speaker 1: that they've been able to.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Do it as well, you know what I mean. I
- 0:53Speaker 2: think it The most optimistic of Jaguars fans would have said, yeah,
- 0:57Speaker 2: I think they could get the six of two. That
- 0:59Speaker 2: would be before this began, after the loss of the Texans.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I think all of us, John were saying, all right, well,
- 1:05Speaker 2: you know, how long is it gonna take for this
- 1:06Speaker 2: team to get out of its own way. We didn't
- 1:08Speaker 2: take very long. The next week they started turning this
- 1:10Speaker 2: thing around. So it is remarkable in the sense that
- 1:13Speaker 2: they have gone from what was that getting the Texans
- 1:17Speaker 2: thirty seven points? I still can see that that botched
- 1:21Speaker 2: kickoff return with the fullback the heaviest return the return
- 1:25Speaker 2: man touchdown in NFL history, right, and to be where
- 1:29Speaker 2: they are five weeks later, pretty dramatic.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's the NFL. I mean, nobody expected the
- 1:37Speaker 3: Chiefs to lose to the Broncos yesterday. You're gonna have
- 1:40Speaker 3: those kind of games. So six and two to me
- 1:44Speaker 3: feels that. You know, if somebody last night saying, well
- 1:46Speaker 3: they should be seven and one, I think they should
- 1:48Speaker 3: be six and two. They've really played their way to
- 1:51Speaker 3: six and two. They're two and a half games up.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I think they deserve to be the front running team
- 1:55Speaker 3: in the South. Look, an argument can be made outside
- 2:00Speaker 3: of Philly that this is the best team in football
- 2:02Speaker 3: right now.
- 2:03Speaker 4: They haven't trailed.
- 2:04Speaker 3: They've trailed for about five minutes in the last five weeks.
- 2:09Speaker 3: It didn't trail yesterday, didn't it didn't trail and anything
- 2:12Speaker 3: trailed for a series against the Colts before they had
- 2:15Speaker 3: the ball.
- 2:17Speaker 4: In the NFL.
- 2:18Speaker 3: You can't play better than that in terms of making
- 2:22Speaker 3: your wins feel like controlling wins. I get they're not
- 2:25Speaker 3: doing it offensively, but they don't trail Well, what do
- 2:31Speaker 3: you want right?
- 2:32Speaker 2: No, Listen, you could see the upside offensively. Right when
- 2:34Speaker 2: you look at the Miami Dolphins, for instance, they are
- 2:36Speaker 2: scoring points. They'll always score points. They've got such explosive
- 2:40Speaker 2: receivers at running backs. But their defense didn't look all
- 2:43Speaker 2: that good yesterday. I mean, they gave a big chunks
- 2:45Speaker 2: of yardage to Mac Jones and the Patriots. Now they
- 2:48Speaker 2: didn't convert, and the Dolphins really didn't struggle to win
- 2:51Speaker 2: the ball game. But you see where there's upside with
- 2:54Speaker 2: this Jacksonville offense if they can find a level of efficiency,
- 2:58Speaker 2: which we're still waiting for. So I don't think you
- 3:00Speaker 2: can expect anything more at six and two. Man, it
- 3:03Speaker 2: feels really good if seven and one is what you're
- 3:05Speaker 2: looking for. If you're not happy with six and two,
- 3:07Speaker 2: you have not been paying attention to this franchise. It's
- 3:09Speaker 2: two thousand.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Here's my final thow on the offense before we move on.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I get that it's frustrating, but I don't think it's tragic.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Meaning in the games where they have really frustrated fans,
- 3:21Speaker 3: the reason for the frustration has been they move past
- 3:24Speaker 3: the fifty every time they have the ball. They were
- 3:26Speaker 3: past the fifty nine out of the of their ten
- 3:28Speaker 3: drives yesterday. I think that's what you're talking about. Yeah,
- 3:32Speaker 3: you can feel It's not that they couldn't move yesterday.
- 3:36Speaker 3: They were always inside the Pittsburgh thirty five. They just
- 3:39Speaker 3: couldn't score it. Well, I've covered bad offense around here.
- 3:42Speaker 3: I've covered offense that had where people were charting consecutive
- 3:46Speaker 3: three and outs.
- 3:48Speaker 4: This isn't that.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Oh, I think this is sort of indicative the league
- 3:51Speaker 3: is playing this way. They're playing red zone defense inside
- 3:56Speaker 3: the twenties make it tough. So the league is kind
- 3:58Speaker 3: of trended toward this. But the Jars had figure out
- 4:00Speaker 3: is how to get the ball in the end zone.
- 4:02Speaker 3: One way is not to fumble. Any other way is
- 4:04Speaker 3: not to listen bad intercepts. You just said it wasn't tragic.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Tragic would be you telling me I had to play
- 4:10Speaker 2: without Traves, etn Calvin Ridley, Evan Ingram, Christian Kirk or
- 4:16Speaker 2: Trevor Lawrence for any amount of time the guys are healthy,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and they're going to be healthier in two weeks when
- 4:21Speaker 2: they get some of these guys back. And when you've
- 4:23Speaker 2: got that, then you've got the chance to be who
- 4:25Speaker 2: you want to be on offense.
- 4:26Speaker 1: All right, guys, let's go over our big things. We
- 4:28Speaker 1: touched on one of them already. But this team is
- 4:30Speaker 1: six and two. That's their best start since nineteen ninety
- 4:33Speaker 1: nine when they were over that. But Doug talked about
- 4:35Speaker 1: what he's seen from his team and how pleased he
- 4:37Speaker 1: is heading into the buy.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Defensively, just really again, an another solid game defensively, you know,
- 4:46Speaker 5: kept the offense in the football game. You know, we
- 4:52Speaker 5: knew going in how how opportunistic Pittsburgh's defense is, and
- 4:55Speaker 5: then they capitalized. You know, obviously they created some takeaways
- 4:58Speaker 5: and then our defense in the second have created a
- 5:01Speaker 5: couple of takeaways. So, you know, for Monterak to come
- 5:06Speaker 5: in and play like he's done now the last couple
- 5:08Speaker 5: of weeks, and Andrew Winger to come in and play
- 5:11Speaker 5: that safety spot, and you know, Antonio Johnson getting in there,
- 5:15Speaker 5: and you know, just the guys have just hanged together,
- 5:18Speaker 5: you know, and I'm really proud of the way they
- 5:21Speaker 5: performed to.
- 5:23Speaker 1: To I know we've talked a little bit about this
- 5:25Speaker 1: record that they have, but the way that they're doing
- 5:27Speaker 1: it also not in terms of just defense, but players
- 5:29Speaker 1: stepping up right because there were a lot of injuries.
- 5:32Speaker 1: We've seen a lot of them are missing out in
- 5:35Speaker 1: this last game. But what this team has been able
- 5:37Speaker 1: to do in terms of getting backups ready to go
- 5:40Speaker 1: in when they are needed, that has been huge.
- 5:42Speaker 2: And astute observer the Jaggers a long time could go
- 5:45Speaker 2: back and look at two thousand and seven in two
- 5:47Speaker 2: thousand and five and say those were good teams. They
- 5:48Speaker 2: had good starts. Maybe not six and two, but they
- 5:51Speaker 2: were good. This team reminds me of ninety eight and
- 5:54Speaker 2: ninety nine John, because they have the answers. They have
- 5:56Speaker 2: all sorts of guys and all sorts of answers for
- 6:00Speaker 2: questions that are posed by injury or a lack of
- 6:04Speaker 2: productivity at any given moment in time or a matchup.
- 6:07Speaker 2: This is a talented team and Doug Peterson's staff are
- 6:10Speaker 2: getting the most of them right now.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I think if you really gave Doug the honesty pill,
- 6:16Speaker 3: he'd have told you at one and two, looking at
- 6:20Speaker 3: the schedule they had. I think he'd taken five and
- 6:22Speaker 3: three easy, maybe even just try to get to five hundred,
- 6:26Speaker 3: and I know they wanted more than that, but to
- 6:30Speaker 3: have sort of passed through that, I think he's ecstatic.
- 6:33Speaker 3: I think he looks at it said, I've got a
- 6:35Speaker 3: defense that doesn't feel like it's going away. I don't
- 6:37Speaker 3: know if they're gonna, you know, all of a sudden,
- 6:39Speaker 3: be the best defense we've ever seen. But I think
- 6:43Speaker 3: a stat is seven straight or seven out of eight
- 6:46Speaker 3: games the opponent has had seven or less in the
- 6:49Speaker 3: first half. Well, that means you're in the game, you
- 6:53Speaker 3: know you're not getting out of it, and then they
- 6:57Speaker 3: follow that up by playing really well in the second half.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I don't think you think the defense is going away.
- 7:01Speaker 3: And I think he sees an offense right now that's
- 7:03Speaker 3: close and that when.
- 7:04Speaker 4: It needs it.
- 7:05Speaker 3: The last two weeks, forty four yard touchdown to win it,
- 7:09Speaker 3: fifty six yard touchdown to it when they need the
- 7:11Speaker 3: plays they make just.
- 7:13Speaker 2: They saw it. This is a really good coaching staff.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I mean yeah, from the head coach and the coordinators
- 7:17Speaker 2: who get all of the attention on down to Phil
- 7:19Speaker 2: Rauscher on the offensive line, or Brenston Buckner on the
- 7:22Speaker 2: defensive line, or Bill Shoey, who's got those two outside
- 7:26Speaker 2: backers playing very well. We talk about players all the time.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I think this might be the best coaching staff from
- 7:32Speaker 2: top to bottom that the Jaguars have had since the
- 7:35Speaker 2: early days of the Calflin regime.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Let's go to our second big thing, which is defense.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Had today. We can give a lot of credit to
- 7:40Speaker 1: Mike calgall what he's been able to do with this
- 7:42Speaker 1: team so far this season, the amount of turnovers they
- 7:45Speaker 1: are forcing, and also a lot of those plug and
- 7:47Speaker 1: play players that we've been discussing, Andrew Wingard stepping up,
- 7:50Speaker 1: mon Terrek Brown as well. And the defense had themselves a.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Day great, really good.
- 7:58Speaker 5: You know, It's something that I told the team, you know,
- 8:01Speaker 5: the first half of the season, these first eight games,
- 8:04Speaker 5: I think, you know, with all the travel and Thursday
- 8:07Speaker 5: games and in and out of hotels and different things
- 8:10Speaker 5: like that, the guys have really handled it extremely well.
- 8:12Speaker 5: Proud of the guys for doing that, and really excited
- 8:14Speaker 5: to be you know, six and two at the Bible.
- 8:18Speaker 1: So when you come into the game yesterday against Pittsburgh
- 8:20Speaker 1: and you see Andr Cisco and Tyson Campbell are going.
- 8:23Speaker 1: That's when I was concerned it was going to be
- 8:25Speaker 1: a little bit of a hope defense. By the way
- 8:26Speaker 1: that Andrew Winger and bust Around were able to step
- 8:29Speaker 1: up and kind of Darius Williams has been playing. It's
- 8:33Speaker 1: so many different names and maybe names you didn't expect.
- 8:35Speaker 2: He saw the first play of the game they went
- 8:36Speaker 2: right at Dewey, right, Yeah, and he was up for
- 8:39Speaker 2: the challenge. He had a great day this defense. I
- 8:43Speaker 2: don't think they were ever really threatened yesterday. I thought
- 8:46Speaker 2: they had control of it from the start to the
- 8:48Speaker 2: finish of the game. Yeah, they moved the ball at
- 8:50Speaker 2: times and got themselves in position, but the defense only
- 8:53Speaker 2: gave up three points on the three turnovers. Right. I
- 8:55Speaker 2: mean they were excellent against the run, not that the
- 8:58Speaker 2: Steelers run the ball very well. And I don't think
- 9:00Speaker 2: John the Kenny Pickett ever really felt comfortable at Trubisky.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Obviously didn't because even though there were only a couple
- 9:06Speaker 2: of sacks, there were constant hands and bodies in the
- 9:10Speaker 2: face of the quarterback. They were always there. I'm gonna
- 9:13Speaker 2: give a lot of credit to Devon Hamilton because I
- 9:15Speaker 2: thought that the push that he had in the middle
- 9:17Speaker 2: of the line, made a big difference and set up
- 9:20Speaker 2: Trayvon Walker from the other side because Pickett kept one
- 9:23Speaker 2: to slide to his right, right into the arms of him.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Here's a you know.
- 9:28Speaker 3: In the ozone late night last night, I wrote that
- 9:32Speaker 3: it really wasn't a very unusual and there's nothing really
- 9:35Speaker 3: stood out about this game from the five game winning streak,
- 9:38Speaker 3: And I didn't write that to be insulting. I said
- 9:41Speaker 3: the defense wasn't spectacular, the offense certainly wasn't perfect. And
- 9:46Speaker 3: then after I wrote it, I kind of laughed, said, well,
- 9:48Speaker 3: the defense just held a team to two hundred and
- 9:49Speaker 3: sixty one yards ten points, was never threatened in its
- 9:53Speaker 3: spectacular because it's it's now what we expect from this.
- 9:56Speaker 3: But this is a good front seven. I said it
- 10:00Speaker 3: on in the season, you started looking at the whole
- 10:03Speaker 3: team and thought, okay, well, on defense, maybe Josh Allen's
- 10:06Speaker 3: the superstar.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Beyond that are their superstars? Maybe not?
- 10:09Speaker 3: But every position is really good and there's no position
- 10:12Speaker 3: And now you're getting to the point where the depth
- 10:15Speaker 3: you feel okay if Dewey has to go in, you
- 10:17Speaker 3: feel okay if Montay Brown has to go in. Now,
- 10:19Speaker 3: I think some of that back there the front seven
- 10:22Speaker 3: as much as people, oh, there's no pass rusher, This
- 10:25Speaker 3: front seven is really, really, really good against the run.
- 10:28Speaker 3: It's exceptional against the run and against the pass, it's disruptive.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Quarterbacks don't really have time to over and over again
- 10:37Speaker 3: pick the secondary apart. Now there's some drops and things
- 10:39Speaker 3: like that. They got a break early, yes, stay the
- 10:42Speaker 3: secondary did, but they take advantage of it.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Even calebon chaseon had a couple good pass rushers yesterday.
- 10:47Speaker 2: You're not talking about the sacks, but you are talking
- 10:50Speaker 2: about the quarterback never feeling comfortable. And by the way,
- 10:52Speaker 2: Darius Williams play was it on George Pickens out on
- 10:56Speaker 2: the boundary where he timed the ball and tipped it
- 10:59Speaker 2: away early in the game. That was a spectacular play.
- 11:03Speaker 1: He's been spectacular all around. Our final big thing turnover troubles,
- 11:07Speaker 1: because fair of us to point out that the team
- 11:10Speaker 1: has not been doing what they need to do on
- 11:11Speaker 1: offense in terms of not turning the ball over. Turnor
- 11:14Speaker 1: Lawrence had a terrible pick at one point, and obviously
- 11:16Speaker 1: the fumbles as well. Terbor talked about some of those issues.
- 11:21Speaker 2: We talked about a lot going to this game.
- 11:23Speaker 6: You know, this team that we're playing, Steelers, they're really
- 11:26Speaker 6: good when you if you have more than one turnover,
- 11:29Speaker 6: if you give up more than a sack or two,
- 11:32Speaker 6: if you don't score. You know, I think it's twenty
- 11:34Speaker 6: three points at least. Like their record is really really
- 11:36Speaker 6: good when those things happen, and we didn't. We didn't
- 11:40Speaker 6: do anything by that formula today. I mean, we scored
- 11:42Speaker 6: twenty points, had I don't know how many sacks, you know,
- 11:45Speaker 6: a few three or four, had three turnovers in plus
- 11:48Speaker 6: positive territory. I mean, but it's just a testament to
- 11:51Speaker 6: our defense for one, and then our offense being able
- 11:53Speaker 6: to make the plays when we need them. And we
- 11:55Speaker 6: moved the ball consistently all day, which was which was
- 11:57Speaker 6: great against a really good defense. But we just gotta
- 12:00Speaker 6: find ways to finish those drives. You know, I had
- 12:02Speaker 6: a bad play down in the red zone that that
- 12:04Speaker 6: can't happen. That took off you know, seven points, but
- 12:07Speaker 6: at least three points off the board for us, you know,
- 12:09Speaker 6: so I think they went down and they went down
- 12:13Speaker 6: and scored on that drive. So just you know that
- 12:15Speaker 6: that shouldn't happen. I can't let that happen being quarterback,
- 12:17Speaker 6: and I gotta be smarter there. But all in all,
- 12:19Speaker 6: it's a great win. You're always gonna take wins in
- 12:21Speaker 6: this league, and it's cool to see us fight and
- 12:23Speaker 6: battle through the adversity.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Try to taking some accountability for that terrible pick there.
- 12:28Speaker 1: But also they didn't follow formula right, You're not supposed
- 12:30Speaker 1: to turn over the ball against the Steelers and give
- 12:32Speaker 1: them advantages that they did. They were able to kind
- 12:35Speaker 1: of bounce back from that, but you gotta clean that
- 12:36Speaker 1: up second half of the year.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Say what that the pick was the one that bothers
- 12:42Speaker 2: him because John the Steelers create turnovers. On that trouble
- 12:45Speaker 2: pass to Evan Ingram, I'm not sure he could have done.
- 12:48Speaker 2: He had both arms around the ball and it was
- 12:51Speaker 2: just perfectly time. The Steelers create turnovers, and.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Playing on a wet day, that kind of yeah, maybe
- 12:55Speaker 4: that kind was going to happen. But even Biggs kind
- 12:57Speaker 4: of turnovers gonna happen.
- 12:58Speaker 2: He's the bigbie thing, right, So during training I'm staying
- 13:00Speaker 2: with my son and I shake Bigsby's hand and it
- 13:02Speaker 2: felt like he was squeezing my hand with both He
- 13:05Speaker 2: has an incredible grip and so I was really surprised
- 13:08Speaker 2: that the ball came out. But you know, he's got
- 13:10Speaker 2: one guy holding him up and the other guy's pulling
- 13:12Speaker 2: with everything. I was still surprised the ball came out,
- 13:15Speaker 2: knowing how strong Bigsby is. But that's what the Steelers do.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Yeah, they're good at it.
- 13:22Speaker 2: It was.
- 13:24Speaker 3: As much as people criticized the offense, and I get
- 13:26Speaker 3: that it it was staggering yesterday, meaning.
- 13:30Speaker 4: Could not quite get there.
- 13:32Speaker 3: It also played well enough against a Steelers a defense
- 13:37Speaker 3: that is good to get you three and then get
- 13:40Speaker 3: you six and get that advantage. And then even when
- 13:44Speaker 3: it was turning the ball over, they were getting into Steelers'
- 13:48Speaker 3: territory so often that it felt like the game was
- 13:51Speaker 3: tilted and the Steelers are always having to play uphill.
- 13:54Speaker 3: So I think the offense, as much as it's going
- 13:56Speaker 3: to get criticized this week for not for what it
- 13:59Speaker 3: didn't do, the fact that it had three in seventy
- 14:01Speaker 3: one yards twenty first downs and it was always able
- 14:08Speaker 3: to take momentum back from Pittsburgh and shove them back.
- 14:13Speaker 3: It did its job in that sense, and then again
- 14:16Speaker 3: I keep going back to every time it needs it
- 14:19Speaker 3: in this winning streak, it makes a big play. There's
- 14:23Speaker 3: something to be said for that in terms of trying
- 14:26Speaker 3: to win in this league.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Even with the turnovers yesterday, it felt like the Jaguars
- 14:29Speaker 2: held them. Yeah, like the big brother little brother. They
- 14:31Speaker 2: were holding them off the whole time. It was just
- 14:33Speaker 2: a matter of all, right, when are they gonna make
- 14:35Speaker 2: the play. And of course it was a beautiful play
- 14:36Speaker 2: on the fifty six yard at eat.
- 14:38Speaker 4: Oh what I was saying, Brian, that goes back to
- 14:39Speaker 4: what you were saying.
- 14:42Speaker 3: There's nothing going on to make you think that the
- 14:45Speaker 3: offense at some point is not going to have a
- 14:48Speaker 3: day loser of points. It's just not quite there yet.
- 14:52Speaker 3: If it was constant three and out, I'd really worry
- 14:54Speaker 3: about it. But that's not what it is.
- 14:55Speaker 2: By the way, scoring is down this year in this
- 14:56Speaker 2: league through eight games. Red zone production is down through
- 14:59Speaker 2: eight as we're getting here in this league right if
- 15:02Speaker 2: you just look at the numbers, the number of young
- 15:05Speaker 2: quarterbacks is one of the reasons why. But defenses this
- 15:08Speaker 2: year are playing really well. We shouldn't be surprised because
- 15:11Speaker 2: the Jaguars defense is playing well that other defenses aren't
- 15:13Speaker 2: lifting their level. It's just not a big year for offense,
- 15:16Speaker 2: at least not the first half of the season.
- 15:18Speaker 1: All right, guys, stay with us, We're gonna go over
- 15:20Speaker 1: some of the highlights from yesterday here on jag Zam

- 15:43Speaker 1: was ugly, but there were some good things to very
- 15:45Speaker 1: memorable things, I should say as well. And one of
- 15:48Speaker 1: the first ones out of the gate was Treyvon Walker
- 15:50Speaker 1: getting after the quarterback. Because we know we've seen a
- 15:53Speaker 1: lot from Josh Allen, but Trayvon's success was impressive yesterday.
- 15:56Speaker 1: And especially Brian, I know you specifically talked about down
- 15:59Speaker 1: Hamilton's and helping him out well.
- 16:01Speaker 2: And it was so timely because so many people wanted
- 16:04Speaker 2: to question Mike Tomlin right noted defensive coach praising Trayvon Walker.
- 16:09Speaker 2: There were lots of skeptics and yet here he is
- 16:12Speaker 2: coming out and proving that he's got it. Now. Does
- 16:14Speaker 2: he have a bevy of pass rush moves. No, But
- 16:17Speaker 2: when you see him get to the quarterback like that
- 16:20Speaker 2: man all of a sudden, Now, if you're the offensive coordinator,
- 16:22Speaker 2: you gotta start sliding back that way. And then it
- 16:25Speaker 2: opens things up for Josh Allen, who came up with
- 16:26Speaker 2: two sacks. So he is a wrecking ball and he
- 16:29Speaker 2: is a really good football player. This was fun to
- 16:32Speaker 2: see early on.
- 16:33Speaker 3: When he pushes the pocket, he sometimes pushes multiple people
- 16:37Speaker 3: back into the pocket. I don't think you can give
- 16:41Speaker 3: him enough credit for making it difficult to operate to
- 16:45Speaker 3: his side of the field. He's a dominant presence on
- 16:50Speaker 3: his side of the field. And I get that people
- 16:53Speaker 3: are frustrated by sack numbers, but I said, for a month,
- 16:58Speaker 3: I don't want to watch this team play defense without
- 17:00Speaker 3: Trayvon Walker on the field. And that's why he plays
- 17:02Speaker 3: more snaps than anybody in that group, because he's.
- 17:07Speaker 2: The player they don't want off the field. He's matched
- 17:09Speaker 2: the soldo from last year through eight games. He's got
- 17:11Speaker 2: nine more games. My guess is he'll end up with
- 17:13Speaker 2: seven or eight, and that might silence might silence people
- 17:17Speaker 2: a little bit here's the best part that set up
- 17:20Speaker 2: a third down and fifteen on a wet field for quarterback.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I mean, Jaguars got the ball back and it's not
- 17:25Speaker 2: Trayvon's fault. They didn't score a touchdown, they just were
- 17:27Speaker 2: with a field goals, so he created an opportunity for
- 17:30Speaker 2: the offense.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Well, that's what this team does defensively. They get other
- 17:34Speaker 3: teams in down in distance is a big deal for
- 17:38Speaker 3: play calling in this league. This defense, I haven't looked
- 17:41Speaker 3: at the numbers, but just the way it feels faces
- 17:44Speaker 3: a lot of third and sevens as opposed to third
- 17:46Speaker 3: and threes because of the way they play run defense
- 17:48Speaker 3: and early that Well, let's.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Look at some of those field goals. Obviously not opportunity
- 17:52Speaker 1: you want to get into the end zone. That could
- 17:54Speaker 1: have put the game out of the way earlier. But
- 17:57Speaker 1: let's shout out the kicker because I feel like we
- 17:59Speaker 1: don't get to do that very Lochen and Brendan McManus
- 18:01Speaker 1: with two fifty plus yard field goals to start this game.
- 18:04Speaker 1: There's a reason in wet conditions, there's a reason you
- 18:06Speaker 1: go out and get a veteran kicker because you're not
- 18:09Speaker 1: worried as much when you see a kick. I got
- 18:10Speaker 1: like he was lining up for fifty plus and I
- 18:12Speaker 1: was like, oh, yeah, they'll be fine.
- 18:13Speaker 3: But there are a couple of situational moments that really
- 18:16Speaker 3: mattered early they faced I think it was third and
- 18:19Speaker 3: twenty one. I think it was the first drive, and
- 18:22Speaker 3: they got twelve yards and got back into where he kicked.
- 18:25Speaker 3: I think it was his fifty one yarder. They got
- 18:29Speaker 3: just enough offensive. Like I was talking earlier, you want touchdowns,
- 18:33Speaker 3: but they got three to three. Well, then all of
- 18:35Speaker 3: a sudden, that gives you six, Brian, you know math
- 18:39Speaker 3: three six, but it gets you up a touchdown and
- 18:42Speaker 3: it changes the games with again the Steelers playing uphill
- 18:46Speaker 3: the whole game after those couple of situations where they
- 18:49Speaker 3: got three. That's situational coaching and playing. And I thought
- 18:54Speaker 3: they played smart early yesterday. I would like to invite
- 18:56Speaker 3: people to watch him on kickoffs. If you don't, right,
- 19:00Speaker 3: it's not as easy to tell how strong his leg
- 19:03Speaker 3: is on the field goals, But when you watch him
- 19:05Speaker 3: with basically one step and the swing of the leg
- 19:07Speaker 3: and he's creating a touchback for you, he doesn't need
- 19:10Speaker 3: the running start that a lot of kickers do. And
- 19:15Speaker 3: I marvel at it every time, how strong his leg is,
- 19:17Speaker 3: he can really kick the ball. Stunned still that he
- 19:22Speaker 3: was freed up from Denver.
- 19:23Speaker 1: It's just another example of having the right person in
- 19:26Speaker 1: a role like that. So when it does come to
- 19:28Speaker 1: a point where you need kicks at a certain point,
- 19:30Speaker 1: just skip points on the board.
- 19:31Speaker 2: You have that.
- 19:31Speaker 3: I think he was seventeen to nineteen this year, four
- 19:34Speaker 3: or five from beyond fifty. That's why they went and
- 19:37Speaker 3: got I mean he had the leg to give. You know,
- 19:40Speaker 3: I don't know, not a shot at who is here
- 19:43Speaker 3: last year. I don't know if Doug coaches the same
- 19:47Speaker 3: way on that field early in the game facing fifteen
- 19:51Speaker 3: to fifty one yard field goals, I don't know if
- 19:53Speaker 3: he's as confident doing that. That sort of shifted that,
- 19:57Speaker 3: and that's why Doug wanted Brandwan.
- 20:00Speaker 2: You're intrigued, you're gonna go watch. I am intrigued. Two
- 20:02Speaker 2: steps of the kickoff and it's in the end zone.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Let's do it all right? What we have next? Oh
- 20:06Speaker 1: the turnovers, those were not ideal, but you know, it happens.
- 20:10Speaker 1: It happens first. I think the Trevor one is probably
- 20:12Speaker 1: the only inexcusable one for me. I didn't love the
- 20:14Speaker 1: play call with Evans fumble, but I mean that is
- 20:17Speaker 1: what it is. That's with the weather situation. It kind
- 20:19Speaker 1: of got knocked out there, but it's what they do.
- 20:21Speaker 2: It was a perfectly time tip this one. John about
- 20:24Speaker 2: every six or seven games, we're going to see him
- 20:27Speaker 2: make a throw that you go watch you throw that one.
- 20:29Speaker 2: That's probably just who he is.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Well.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I also think it's he's been like we've watched him.
- 20:36Speaker 3: It feels like a while now.
- 20:38Speaker 4: He's still midway through his third season.
- 20:41Speaker 2: You know, I.
- 20:44Speaker 3: I covered Peyton Manning a long time, and I covered
- 20:46Speaker 3: him through some years where he didn't make throws like this.
- 20:49Speaker 3: I also started covering him in his fourth year, and
- 20:52Speaker 3: in the fourth year he had twenty eight interceptions for
- 20:54Speaker 3: twenty six rather than number one.
- 20:56Speaker 4: It can take time.
- 20:57Speaker 3: For these guys to get that muscle memory of I
- 21:02Speaker 3: do not throw the ball in this situation. This is
- 21:04Speaker 3: it so look yes, bad play, but a really good
- 21:10Speaker 3: play to make up for the second half.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Without a doubt.
- 21:13Speaker 3: He's six and two five and at the end of
- 21:16Speaker 3: last season they've won eleven in their last thirteen games
- 21:20Speaker 3: under this skit.
- 21:20Speaker 2: That is why you don't worry too much about it.
- 21:22Speaker 2: He's just he's gonna take chances here and there. He's
- 21:25Speaker 2: done it since he got here.
- 21:26Speaker 3: And overall he's playing much smarter in these situations this
- 21:29Speaker 3: year than he did last year. This was more of
- 21:31Speaker 3: a one off the last year's.
- 21:32Speaker 2: You heard in the post game he said, he's got
- 21:34Speaker 2: your work on that. But he's he's a gunslinger in
- 21:36Speaker 2: that sense. He's gonna take those throws over once in
- 21:38Speaker 2: a while.
- 21:38Speaker 1: He's definitely a gun slinger. Let's look at Etn's touchdown
- 21:41Speaker 1: and the two point conversion, because obviously ETN has been
- 21:44Speaker 1: the heart and soul of this offense and the success
- 21:46Speaker 1: they've had. But catching and running not just a rushing
- 21:51Speaker 1: touchdown this time, and it looked a little slow. In
- 21:53Speaker 1: the back end. I was like, we're gonna put the
- 21:54Speaker 1: jets on there and there's gonna get you. But to
- 21:56Speaker 1: see the kind of wheeling out and catching that, well,
- 21:59Speaker 1: he's not a screen pass. It's something we don't always
- 22:00Speaker 1: see from him.
- 22:01Speaker 2: The corner was breaking thinking I got this on that
- 22:03Speaker 2: stick route and the safety couldn't get over there fast enough.
- 22:07Speaker 2: That's you know. They talked to the postgame about they
- 22:09Speaker 2: know each other and that was a beautiful move by
- 22:12Speaker 2: two guys who know each other.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Yeah. I thought a couple of things were cool here.
- 22:17Speaker 3: First of all, it was the longest pass play they've had.
- 22:20Speaker 4: And they've played together.
- 22:21Speaker 3: What is I think it's six seasons on the field together.
- 22:27Speaker 3: There was some talk last week about Calvin Ridley being
- 22:30Speaker 3: frustrated being whatever did you see the spike after the play?
- 22:33Speaker 1: Yeah, he was more excited than ethm One.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Well that a selfish player doesn't do that in that situation, don't.
- 22:42Speaker 4: I don't make too much out of it.
- 22:43Speaker 3: But he came along and he spiked and celebrated his teammates.
- 22:47Speaker 3: I've covered some wide receivers who wouldn't be spiking the
- 22:52Speaker 3: ball for their teammate getting a touchdown. Not that they
- 22:56Speaker 3: were rooting against their team, but they wanted to touchdown.
- 22:58Speaker 3: So I thought that was pretty indicative of like where
- 23:00Speaker 3: Calvin's head is.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Something Calvin said in the locker room right before the
- 23:03Speaker 2: season sticks with me. He goes, I just want to win.
- 23:06Speaker 4: And I think it's real.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Everybody says they just want to win, right, but some
- 23:10Speaker 3: players don't act like they just want to win.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I know, to me, that play.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Showed something absolutely Later on we saw Steelers try to
- 23:18Speaker 1: mount a little bit of a comeback. They got their
- 23:20Speaker 1: first touchdown of the day, the only touchdown of the day,
- 23:23Speaker 1: and the waning seconds of the third quarter. Pickens is
- 23:27Speaker 1: the real deal. I mean, he probably shouldn't be talking
- 23:28Speaker 1: as much as he does in the locker room, but
- 23:30Speaker 1: he's impressive on the field when they get him the ball.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Well, he's I don't know how to describe him. He's
- 23:34Speaker 2: got sort of a Randy Moss style body. He's tall
- 23:37Speaker 2: and he's long, and he could jump. And he just
- 23:40Speaker 2: leapt over the safety or was it the quarter that
- 23:42Speaker 2: was coming underneath and Dewey was over the top I mean,
- 23:45Speaker 2: or de dow he came underneath. That's just a great play.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Great players can make great plays.
- 23:49Speaker 4: I think the Jaguars secondary would say that one catch
- 23:51Speaker 4: he had was awesome.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Yeah, just the one I mean.
- 23:54Speaker 3: And that was a storyline afterward. I never really understood
- 23:59Speaker 3: what Hope defense meant. I couldn't quite figure out that.
- 24:03Speaker 3: All credit to metriz Party from the Times Union for
- 24:05Speaker 3: writing I guess they were mad, but I didn't really
- 24:08Speaker 3: understand what he meant by it. But it was just
- 24:10Speaker 3: enough to get him angry, and you know he.
- 24:15Speaker 4: He talked in the Jaguars they responded.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Yeah, they did a nice job on a really good player.
- 24:22Speaker 2: He is a very hard guy to cover and they
- 24:24Speaker 2: did an excellent job on him.
- 24:27Speaker 1: We'll have to give do you a little bit of
- 24:28Speaker 1: a shout out because he was putting in a tough
- 24:30Speaker 1: spot coming in starting and he did well. He made
- 24:34Speaker 1: some plays and one of the biggest plays of the
- 24:36Speaker 1: day got his interception. Probably more talking about his touchdown
- 24:39Speaker 1: after the fact, but what stew he meant to this
- 24:43Speaker 1: team when you've seen what he's been able to do
- 24:45Speaker 1: as well, just because he's a captain this year. Kind
- 24:48Speaker 1: of the way he started here to becoming a fan
- 24:51Speaker 1: favorite the way he is, He's had quite a journey.
- 24:53Speaker 2: He started as a guy kai and every team has
- 24:55Speaker 2: one of these guys that you're always trying to replace.
- 24:58Speaker 2: You know, he's not tall enough, he's not fast, he's
- 25:00Speaker 2: not big enough, and it was a special teams guy.
- 25:03Speaker 2: And then last year against Baltimore and Dallas, Uh, he
- 25:07Speaker 2: found his role. I mean he made a couple of
- 25:09Speaker 2: plays on third and fourth down late in the ball
- 25:11Speaker 2: game that helped steal those wins. And then he came
- 25:13Speaker 2: up with it. It was always the Jags. And now
- 25:16Speaker 2: I mean, what did he say, I'm a dog, I'm
- 25:19Speaker 2: a sleeping dog. Yeah, but the best the dog move
- 25:24Speaker 2: was swinging the towel. Freaking loved that.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Yeah, and again Steelers fans were mad about it.
- 25:30Speaker 4: I saw one tweet somebody said they should arrest him.
- 25:33Speaker 4: He stole a towel.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Look, this league, in this game is supposed to be fun. Yes, uh,
- 25:43Speaker 3: duey after the game, and he's my hot takes. I'll
- 25:48Speaker 3: say some of it. But he told Brent martineaud I
- 25:50Speaker 3: thoughd to me lockhom for a few minutes and he said, Hey,
- 25:52Speaker 3: we've got San Francisco, Baltimore, Cincinnati coming in. Isn't that awesome? Yeah, Like,
- 26:00Speaker 3: this is a kid who loves what he's doing, loves playing.
- 26:04Speaker 3: The fans see it, his teammates love him. I think
- 26:07Speaker 3: you had him cut in the preseason.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Safety.
- 26:11Speaker 2: We're gonna make it hard on him, and he is
- 26:14Speaker 2: and he has played better than both. Although it's nice
- 26:17Speaker 2: to see Antonio Johnson, no doubt, no doubt, but what
- 26:20Speaker 2: he has become, no, I didn't. We'll have to atable
- 26:24Speaker 2: part about it. You can go back and pull the
- 26:25Speaker 2: tape and see it where I said they're going to
- 26:28Speaker 2: make it hard on him, but he has risen to
- 26:31Speaker 2: the occasion that he has been granted on this team,
- 26:34Speaker 2: and he's gonna be one of those guys who plays
- 26:35Speaker 2: here ten or eleven years.
- 26:37Speaker 1: He's making it work. We love to see it, all right,
- 26:39Speaker 1: say with us, We're gonna have hot takes coming up
- 26:41Speaker 1: out of the break. You guys can sign up your

- 27:12Speaker 1: So let's go over some of our hot takes for
- 27:14Speaker 1: this team. Brian, what's your hot take for us today?
- 27:16Speaker 2: Well, I'm not sure how hot this one is, but
- 27:18Speaker 2: a good decision, smart decision, maybe even a great decision
- 27:20Speaker 2: by Doug yesterday to keep all those guys who were
- 27:24Speaker 2: injured on the sidelines, right, And maybe it was easy
- 27:27Speaker 2: because the field was wet and you saw what happened
- 27:29Speaker 2: with makeup Fitzpatrick. But they made the decision, and it
- 27:32Speaker 2: would have been easy to understand why you try to
- 27:35Speaker 2: give it a go with Cisco and Tyson Campbell because
- 27:39Speaker 2: you want to get to six to two and headed
- 27:41Speaker 2: into bye week with some momentum. But Walker Little didn't play,
- 27:44Speaker 2: and obviously Zay Jones was ruled out on Friday. Being patient,
- 27:49Speaker 2: trusting the guys, trusting your coaching staff is a really
- 27:53Speaker 2: smart move, and it gives them the opportunity to have
- 27:55Speaker 2: everybody on the field when they host the forty nine
- 27:57Speaker 2: Ers here in two weeks.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I think he knew or felt like
- 28:03Speaker 3: they could control that game against that team. Without those guys,
- 28:09Speaker 3: you're always risking, you know. I was concerned when Campbell
- 28:12Speaker 3: and Cisco weren't playing, because if the Steelers had a
- 28:16Speaker 3: way to beat you, it was with two very good
- 28:19Speaker 3: receivers maybe making some flukey pull I wanna say flukey,
- 28:23Speaker 3: but making some big plays with a couple of communication
- 28:27Speaker 3: breakdowns and new guys for that might happen.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Credit to him for not letting it happen.
- 28:32Speaker 1: What's your hot take force today? Je, I know it's
- 28:34Speaker 1: very eloquent. And I made sure they say, I'm I'm
- 28:39Speaker 1: sure your graphic was spelled the way one.
- 28:41Speaker 4: Yeah, we already talked to him a little bit.
- 28:44Speaker 3: But he's a special teams player and a backup and
- 28:49Speaker 3: yet during this winning stretch, since it started earlier last year,
- 28:56Speaker 3: in a way sort of become the face of the franchise. Yeah.
- 28:58Speaker 2: I was just about to say, he's the heartbeat of
- 28:59Speaker 2: that lockerwood.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:00Speaker 3: And uh, you know, I remember asking somebody early early
- 29:07Speaker 3: maybe the last training camp about him and they're like, oh,
- 29:10Speaker 3: he's on the team, Like, you're not getting rid of
- 29:14Speaker 3: this guy. And last year when he was a free agent,
- 29:19Speaker 3: afterward on getaway day, I was talking to him. Has
- 29:26Speaker 3: he been on a podcast? When we had talked a
- 29:27Speaker 3: little bit, and I said, hey, good luck and hope
- 29:29Speaker 3: you're back. He gets there was no question he wanted
- 29:32Speaker 3: to be here. This is where he wants to play now.
- 29:34Speaker 3: He flirted with Tennessee a little bit, and but what
- 29:39Speaker 3: a remarkable thing he has done. But even beyond that,
- 29:45Speaker 3: a huge pass breakup yesterday, a huge interception two huge hits,
- 29:50Speaker 3: he does things, he jumps out on the tape.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Who he is, uh, he's linguard. He's a guy. Remember
- 29:56Speaker 2: Jerry Olshawski. They're the great Steelers era of the late
- 30:00Speaker 2: nineties and early two thousand. There was a backup linebacker
- 30:03Speaker 2: and a special team's team and they called him Jerry O.
- 30:06Speaker 2: And no matter what when you talked about the Steelers,
- 30:08Speaker 2: the Steelers talked about Jerry Oh. We had a guy
- 30:11Speaker 2: here back in the early days named Bram Boyer who's
- 30:12Speaker 2: now the special teams coordinator for the New York Jets.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I mean, he's the guy. He was always too short.
- 30:17Speaker 2: He was cut six times in nineteen ninety five, and
- 30:19Speaker 2: they kept bringing him back and bringing him back, and
- 30:22Speaker 2: he's been in the league for twenty eight twenty nine
- 30:24Speaker 2: years now. This is what this guy is. He loves football,
- 30:27Speaker 2: as you mentioned earlier, but he's a good player. If
- 30:30Speaker 2: he doesn't have the skills set in terms of the
- 30:32Speaker 2: height in the and the length and the athletic ability,
- 30:35Speaker 2: he more than overcomes it with his passion and his intelligence.
- 30:38Speaker 2: So he's a guy who's going to be this team's
- 30:40Speaker 2: next BRANP. Boyer, next Jerry Oh. He's gonna be around
- 30:43Speaker 2: here for a long time.
- 30:45Speaker 4: Very good.
- 30:45Speaker 2: All right.
- 30:46Speaker 1: My hot take this week is that sometimes it's better
- 30:49Speaker 1: to be lucky than good, And by that I mean
- 30:53Speaker 1: some of the reactions after the game yesterday, in particular
- 30:56Speaker 1: from the Steelers' locker room, had me laughing because we
- 30:59Speaker 1: are now at a point in Jaguars football where people
- 31:01Speaker 1: think the refs are pulling for the Jaguars to get
- 31:05Speaker 1: a win over historic franchise like the Pittsburgh Steelers. So congratulations,
- 31:10Speaker 1: Jaguars fans. We are now at a point where the
- 31:12Speaker 1: team is so successful that people the opponent is complaining
- 31:15Speaker 1: that the refs are rigging it.
- 31:16Speaker 2: What kind of fine do we think Deontay Johnson is
- 31:18Speaker 2: going to get for his long diet tribe about the
- 31:22Speaker 2: officials lack of integrity? Yeah, I guess he's going to be.
- 31:27Speaker 4: I guess he could have caught the first pass of
- 31:28Speaker 4: the game, right.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Oh No, but it was the refs. Well, the refs
- 31:32Speaker 1: were bad in general, I will say, but I don't
- 31:34Speaker 1: think it was specifically anybody.
- 31:36Speaker 2: The refs were good. Nobody ever says that.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just I can't think that that affected any
- 31:43Speaker 1: outcome of the game. When you didn't score a touchdown
- 31:45Speaker 1: until almost the beginning of the fourth quarter. So I
- 31:47Speaker 1: say that in a joke as well.
- 31:49Speaker 3: But honestly, I thought the Bigsby call could have gone
- 31:52Speaker 3: the other way.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I thought he was down personally, but I thought, I
- 31:55Speaker 1: think the way.
- 31:57Speaker 4: They never really seen that where they now.
- 32:01Speaker 3: And then well, nor the fields different because if they're
- 32:05Speaker 3: ruling on the field being the other.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Way, the Jared's probably keep the ball.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Yeah, they never would all turned it.
- 32:08Speaker 3: And there were a couple of plays. Look, you can
- 32:10Speaker 3: always pick apart plays.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Uh.
- 32:14Speaker 3: It's amazing how the officiating is usually worse for the
- 32:17Speaker 3: losing team.
- 32:18Speaker 1: It's so weird how that works out. Anyway, we'll be
- 32:20Speaker 1: right back as we discussed what we've got going on
- 32:22Speaker 1: in the beginning of bye week and then the rest
- 32:23Speaker 1: of the break. Jags fans, if you want to customize
- 32:30Speaker 1: Jaguars furniture for your home, check got zip chare dot
- 32:33Speaker 1: com to browse all customizable options. Zip Chair is furniture
- 32:36Speaker 1: for fans. Welcome back to jag Zam. We've got bye
- 32:49Speaker 1: week coming up. So what are you guys looking at
- 32:52Speaker 1: in terms of bye week stuff to do? I like to,
- 32:55Speaker 1: you know, take a little bit of a break away
- 32:57Speaker 1: from football and then kind of sit in front of
- 32:59Speaker 1: my TV for Red Zone on Sundays. But what do
- 33:01Speaker 1: you guys got planned for yourselves? Not? John's not gonna
- 33:04Speaker 1: share it, doesn't want to show. Okay, feed up.
- 33:10Speaker 4: I mean that's it. I mean, you know, porch Fest
- 33:13Speaker 4: and Springfield on Saturday. Ye, that's what I'm.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Doing, getting caught up. You know, the last month has
- 33:19Speaker 2: been crazy, and there's all sorts of things around the
- 33:21Speaker 2: house we have to do, right It's yard work, wool work,
- 33:25Speaker 2: all that kind of stuff. And it's nice to go
- 33:27Speaker 2: into the second half of the season not thinking all
- 33:29Speaker 2: these things I have to do.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Yes, it's nice to have a little bit of a break.
- 33:32Speaker 1: And then also we should say that we will be
- 33:34Speaker 1: here the first half of this week because trade deadline
- 33:36Speaker 1: comes up on Tuesday afternoon. You guys think there's any
- 33:39Speaker 1: moves to be made or I would be surprised at
- 33:40Speaker 1: this point just because of how well we played, But
- 33:42Speaker 1: then again, anything can happen.
- 33:44Speaker 3: I'd be surprised because you got to measure short term expense.
- 33:49Speaker 3: This team has salary cap issues coming up. Anything that
- 33:52Speaker 3: you get goes up against that at some point. Maybe
- 33:56Speaker 3: they're not going to ignore. I mean, but it's got
- 33:59Speaker 3: to make sense in terms of equity, and I just
- 34:02Speaker 3: kind of wonder if they'll find anything like, Yeah, and you.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Hesitate to give away your first round pick, I mean
- 34:07Speaker 2: the bottom of the first round. People go, it's just
- 34:09Speaker 2: the bottom of the first round. Well, that was anti
- 34:10Speaker 2: Harrison this year? Would you trade that away? Right? And
- 34:13Speaker 2: you can't trade your second right now because it's tied
- 34:15Speaker 2: up with the Calvin Johnson or Calvin Ridley situation. So
- 34:19Speaker 2: I just don't feel like I got to go out
- 34:21Speaker 2: and find more pass rush help. I mean, the sack
- 34:24Speaker 2: numbers you'd like to see increase, and I think they will,
- 34:26Speaker 2: but the pressure's pretty good. So I just I wouldn't
- 34:29Speaker 2: give away my first for a guy that I might
- 34:31Speaker 2: not be able to resign with all the other guys
- 34:33Speaker 2: I want to give, I'd be very cautious. I certainly
- 34:35Speaker 2: wouldn't give away a first then, Yeah, then you're probably
- 34:38Speaker 2: not You're probably not acquiring.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Anyone, probably standing Pat. All right, that's it for us
- 34:42Speaker 1: this week. We're gonna enjoy our bye week. We hope
- 34:44Speaker 1: you enjoy yours. We'll be back here on Monday for
- 34:46Speaker 1: jag Xam next week as we get ready for the
- 34:48Speaker 1: forty nine ers game, it's c
