- 0:08Speaker 2: Thunderous applause now.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I want you guys to meet the lovely Joelle Monique,
- 0:15Speaker 1: who is.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Our show's producer.
- 0:17Speaker 3: That's my middle name.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Your middle name is Joelle?
- 0:21Speaker 4: Really?
- 0:21Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Wow.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I've never met anybody named Joelle.
- 0:23Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 0:24Speaker 2: How do you spell your middle name? J-O-E-L-L-E. How do
- 0:27Speaker 2: you spell yours?
- 0:28Speaker 1: Same spelling.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Twinsies.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Twinsies.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I'm so glad you guys are here. I wanted to
- 0:33Speaker 1: ask you, have you ever, forgive this if it's a
- 0:36Speaker 1: dumb question, have you been on a podcast before? Once before.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Have you been on a popular podcast before?
- 0:40Speaker 1: No, no. Well, let's first start with having been on
- 0:42Speaker 1: any podcast. Let's go there.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Let's go there.
- 0:44Speaker 1: No, first podcast?
- 0:45Speaker 5: No, we've done a podcast.
- 0:46Speaker 2: We did one together.
- 0:47Speaker 3: We did one together, yeah.
- 0:49Speaker 5: But still, it's, yeah, not.
- 0:50Speaker 1: All right, well, this is how it goes. This is
- 0:53Speaker 1: what's called a rewatch podcast.
- 0:55Speaker 6: Yes.
- 0:56Speaker 1: And so we watch episodes of the television program Scrubs
- 1:01Speaker 1: and then we talk about them. And the fans really
- 1:04Speaker 1: love it because they love the show very much and
- 1:06Speaker 1: they want to hear sort of inside stories, funny anecdotes,
- 1:11Speaker 1: things about Donald's marriage. They just love everything.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You know, I think I forced the marriage part on them,
- 1:16Speaker 2: I'm going to be honest.
- 1:17Speaker 1: No, I think they're very invested in what's happening with
- 1:19Speaker 1: you and Casey and what's happening at the house.
- 1:22Speaker 2: We should do a poll. We should find out, Joelle.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I don't want to do a poll because what if
- 1:26Speaker 1: it turns out negative? What if they're like, we don't
- 1:28Speaker 1: want to hear about that shit anymore?
- 1:29Speaker 2: Then we don't talk about that shit no more.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I like hearing about it. You guys, I want to
- 1:36Speaker 1: talk briefly. We'll get into episode five of season two.
- 1:40Speaker 1: That's what we're talking about, 205 today, everybody. But first
- 1:43Speaker 1: I want to talk about your casting process because we
- 1:45Speaker 1: didn't have you on season one yet. And I want
- 1:47Speaker 1: to just, Tell us a little bit, like, I think
- 1:49Speaker 1: that's always interesting, like how you came about auditioning for
- 1:52Speaker 1: Scrubs and what was your story? Leigh, let's start with you.
- 1:55Speaker 6: I got the first audition when I was actually in Europe.
- 1:58Speaker 6: I was having a little European summer trip with a
- 2:01Speaker 6: bunch of my friends. And the first one came in
- 2:05Speaker 6: and I remember doing a tape in an apartment and
- 2:08Speaker 6: it was so hot and I was dripping sweat. And I.
- 2:12Speaker 5: I was watching clips of Scrubs on TikTok. Because I
- 2:15Speaker 5: was like, I need to understand this show.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Because you'd never seen it before.
- 2:17Speaker 2: You'd never seen the show before.
- 2:18Speaker 5: I had heard of it.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I had not seen it. Oh, boy.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:21Speaker 3: But then I did.
- 2:21Speaker 5: It made me watch it. I fell in love with it.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And then I got nervous. Well, you don't have to
- 2:24Speaker 1: say that. Well, I was.
- 2:25Speaker 5: Nervous when I watched it because then I was like, oh,
- 2:27Speaker 5: now I really want the show.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 2:29Speaker 6: So it was better that I didn't know too much
- 2:31Speaker 6: about it. And then when I got my first callback,
- 2:34Speaker 6: my team called me and they're like, where in the
- 2:36Speaker 6: world are you right now? And you have to do
- 2:39Speaker 6: this callback. I need to know the time zone. And
- 2:41Speaker 6: I was like, I think I'll be in London. And
- 2:43Speaker 6: then I did my first callback there. And then I
- 2:45Speaker 6: came in person. And I remember watching this podcast after
- 2:49Speaker 6: going in person and you were talking about how you
- 2:52Speaker 6: had just seen people in person.
- 2:53Speaker 3: And I was like, I was there.
- 2:54Speaker 1: This is crazy. Yeah, you were one of the few
- 2:57Speaker 1: people we saw in real life because it was very,
- 2:59Speaker 1: you know, casting for those of you who aren't in
- 3:01Speaker 1: the business has really moved to Zoom and the online world.
- 3:06Speaker 2: But which is a whole nother issue.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah, which is a whole nother thing. We won't go
- 3:10Speaker 1: down the road. But occasionally you do get to see
- 3:13Speaker 1: actors in real life. And you were one of the
- 3:15Speaker 1: few cases of that. Obviously, it goes without saying you
- 3:18Speaker 1: were fantastic.
- 3:19Speaker 5: It was so fun.
- 3:20Speaker 6: I remember I was so nervous. But then I walked
- 3:24Speaker 6: in the room and everyone was so warm and inviting.
- 3:27Speaker 6: And I was like, no matter what happens, I had
- 3:29Speaker 6: a great time coming back in person. And it felt
- 3:31Speaker 6: like you could feel the energy in the room.
- 3:33Speaker 1: One thing you get from an actor director person is
- 3:36Speaker 1: I know how hard it is to walk into a
- 3:37Speaker 1: room and I want and I know that an actor
- 3:39Speaker 1: is not going to give a good performance if they're
- 3:40Speaker 1: fucking terrified.
- 3:41Speaker 5: For sure.
- 3:42Speaker 1: So we try and Bill always did this, too, with
- 3:44Speaker 1: us when we were auditioning, like to create that safe space.
- 3:47Speaker 1: So you feel like, you know, you're comfortable, you're safe. Otherwise,
- 3:50Speaker 1: you're going to who's giving a good audition if they're terrified.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I mean, you're still terrified, obviously. but the most the
- 3:55Speaker 1: producer can do. You remember when Bill would do that
- 3:58Speaker 1: for us?
- 3:58Speaker 2: Dude, yeah, man.
- 3:59Speaker 7: He would, well, Bill did a lot for me personally.
- 4:02Speaker 7: Like I blew my first audition and he was the
- 4:04Speaker 7: one that came out into the lobby and was like, Donald,
- 4:09Speaker 7: can I talk to you for a second?
- 4:10Speaker 1: His final audition.
- 4:11Speaker 7: Yeah, this is in front of the studio, the network, everybody,
- 4:15Speaker 7: like the room was packed. And my first audition, I
- 4:17Speaker 7: felt great about it, to be honest with you. But
- 4:21Speaker 7: I guess I got really big as I sometimes do.
- 4:24Speaker 7: And he called me into the room, and as I'm
- 4:27Speaker 7: walking back, I'm like, he's about to tell me I
- 4:30Speaker 7: got the part. And he turns around, and he's like,
- 4:33Speaker 7: so you know you blew that the first time.
- 4:34Speaker 1: So when you came out, you didn't know that you'd
- 4:36Speaker 1: fucked up?
- 4:37Speaker 2: I thought I crushed that shit. I'm in the lobby.
- 4:40Speaker 1: You were like, I'm in the zone.
- 4:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm in the lobby with the rest of the
- 4:43Speaker 7: actors in the lobby, and we're fucking shooting the shit,
- 4:46Speaker 7: and I'm gassed. I'm like, these cats are all dead.
- 4:50Speaker 7: I just crushed them. And he comes back, and he's like, no, no, no.
- 4:54Speaker 7: You blew that, and I need you to go back
- 4:57Speaker 7: in and do it the way, and it's a joke
- 5:00Speaker 7: that Zach talks about. He's like, the way you did
- 5:02Speaker 7: it in the first audition. And he gave me a
- 5:04Speaker 7: couple of pointers, and I went in there, and I
- 5:06Speaker 7: did it the way he wanted it, and bam.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Did you do it the same day?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Same day.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Wow.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Same day. Back in the day, you guys don't know
- 5:13Speaker 1: about this because you're young, but back in our day,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you would go, the final audition would be in a
- 5:19Speaker 1: small office, like some executive's office. And they would cram
- 5:23Speaker 1: like literally 35 people.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Into a room.
- 5:25Speaker 1: And some of them were on the floor. Some of
- 5:27Speaker 1: them were like leaning on the windowsill. And it would
- 5:30Speaker 1: always be a cartoonish amount of people in a small room.
- 5:33Speaker 1: And there would just be a chair and you, and
- 5:35Speaker 1: you would go. And they've all heard the jokes 9,000 times.
- 5:39Speaker 1: One thing, another thing Bill would do is even though
- 5:41Speaker 1: he knew that, he would give you laughs. I mean,
- 5:44Speaker 1: he wrote the damn thing.
- 5:44Speaker 2: He knew.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And he knew that everyone in the room had heard.
- 5:47Speaker 1: But he was like, He would tell a funny story.
- 5:49Speaker 1: He would be like, oh, you know, I wore the
- 5:51Speaker 1: same outfit every callback because I was just superstitious. And
- 5:55Speaker 1: Bill just turned that into sort of a warm-up joke
- 5:58Speaker 1: for me. He's like, this is Zach. Zach, do you
- 6:00Speaker 1: want to tell them how you haven't changed your clothes
- 6:02Speaker 1: in a couple weeks? And, like, that would get everyone laughing.
- 6:04Speaker 1: He would, like, do a little warm-up bit for you,
- 6:06Speaker 1: which was so generous and lovely.
- 6:08Speaker 7: If you were to look at all of our tapes
- 6:11Speaker 7: when we auditioned for Scrubs, All of us have the
- 6:14Speaker 7: same outfit on. You did the same thing? Yeah, Sarah
- 6:17Speaker 7: Chalk did the same thing too. Every time I saw her,
- 6:19Speaker 7: because Sarah and I auditioned before he did. And we
- 6:23Speaker 7: only auditioned like three times. But every time I saw Sarah,
- 6:27Speaker 7: Sarah had the same blue jeans. I think they were
- 6:29Speaker 7: like true religion or some shit like that.
- 6:31Speaker 2: True religion. Yeah, and the same belt buckle and the
- 6:34Speaker 2: same t-shirt.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I got so into my superstitions, I kept getting callbacks
- 6:38Speaker 1: for the show. And I was like, I had literally
- 6:39Speaker 1: gone to the gym that morning. I wasn't like in
- 6:41Speaker 1: a working out phase of my life, but I had
- 6:43Speaker 1: gone to the gym. I had, you know, I'd listened
- 6:48Speaker 1: to certain songs and I was like, I will be
- 6:51Speaker 1: doing those exact things.
- 6:52Speaker 2: You were ridiculous about it.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I went to the gym. I got on the same treadmill.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I listened to the same songs in the car. I
- 6:59Speaker 1: was like, did you wait?
- 7:00Speaker 7: If somebody was on the treadmill, were you like, all right,
- 7:03Speaker 7: I'm gonna wait.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I think I was going early and I had no money.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I was going to the cheapest gym I could find.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Like there was like cobwebs on the treadmill. So it was,
- 7:11Speaker 1: no one was competing for it. And, uh, Anyway, yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 1: it's funny. I see that shirt, which I still have,
- 7:18Speaker 1: and I smile when I'm like going through my shirts.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I can't help but smile at that shirt and being like,
- 7:22Speaker 1: we did it.
- 7:24Speaker 5: I am superstitious like that too.
- 7:26Speaker 6: I was listening to like the same Frey song before
- 7:28Speaker 6: every single audition I had for this.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Which one?
- 7:31Speaker 5: How to Save a Life.
- 7:32Speaker 1: How to Save a Life. That's perfect because it's a
- 7:35Speaker 1: very scrub song.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 7:36Speaker 1: All right, Amanda, what's your story? I mean, I know
- 7:39Speaker 1: from my perspective, but how did you start your process?
- 7:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 3: I mean, I had definitely had a very 2025 process
- 7:48Speaker 3: in terms of everything was online. I got the first
- 7:51Speaker 3: tape in the mail and I remember looking at it
- 7:54Speaker 3: and I was like, I need to watch the show
- 7:56Speaker 3: because I need to know this tone. And I was
- 7:58Speaker 3: listening to y'all's podcast from the pandemic and I was
- 8:02Speaker 3: trying to figure out, I was like, okay, this is
- 8:03Speaker 3: the tone. This is the vibe. Okay, let's see if
- 8:05Speaker 3: we can do it. Let's have a little fun. And
- 8:07Speaker 3: I like comedy. So I was trying to like have
- 8:09Speaker 3: a little fun with it. And I also was superstitious,
- 8:12Speaker 3: so I have the same shirt that I wore throughout
- 8:15Speaker 3: all of my processes and my director's callback. And I
- 8:18Speaker 3: brought it with me for season one. It's this Uniqlo green.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Uniqlo.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Yeah, my Uniqlo t-shirt that got me through everything. And
- 8:26Speaker 3: I remember I had the first callback. They brought me back.
- 8:29Speaker 3: And thankfully, I got to do both of my auditions
- 8:32Speaker 3: in an office in person. So I did a tape
- 8:35Speaker 3: at first. And then the second time I came back
- 8:37Speaker 3: and it was all film. So it was all sent
- 8:38Speaker 3: to L.A. And so I did another tape in person.
- 8:42Speaker 3: I was like, okay, they want to come back. We're
- 8:43Speaker 3: going to zhuzh Dashaun up a little bit. We're going
- 8:45Speaker 3: to try it a different angle. I could do that.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I was like, I'm flexible, I'm flexible. And then I
- 8:49Speaker 3: remember I had the director's callback and I didn't realize
- 8:52Speaker 3: that you were going to be there.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You didn't realize I was the director?
- 8:56Speaker 3: I did not realize that you were the director.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't want to throw people because it's tricky
- 9:00Speaker 1: because I wanted to be supportive and be there and
- 9:02Speaker 1: be like, hey, I'm going to read with you. It's
- 9:03Speaker 1: all going to be good. But also I didn't want
- 9:04Speaker 1: to get in people's heads.
- 9:06Speaker 3: It was... Honestly, nice. It was so comforting because I
- 9:09Speaker 3: remember you said there was something I did and I
- 9:13Speaker 3: made you laugh and you were like, that was funny.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I laughed and I was like, oh, awesome.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Well, it's funny because what happens for those of you
- 9:20Speaker 1: who don't know is that we're all on a Zoom call, right?
- 9:22Speaker 1: And then we all, everyone who's not the reader with
- 9:25Speaker 1: the actor or actress hides their camera and mutes. And
- 9:29Speaker 1: it's tough when it's the opposite of we're in a
- 9:31Speaker 1: room together because you would hear me laugh. But on
- 9:34Speaker 1: the Zoom thing... We all have to mute ourselves. So
- 9:37Speaker 1: I was coming on to be like, hey, I just
- 9:39Speaker 1: want you to know that I was laughing at what
- 9:40Speaker 1: you were saying.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Which made me feel so comfortable because I was like,
- 9:44Speaker 3: I'm throwing jokes to the wind right now.
- 9:47Speaker 1: See, that's another thing. Back in the day when you're
- 9:49Speaker 1: in the room and you had all the producers there,
- 9:51Speaker 1: they would laugh and that would give you juice to
- 9:53Speaker 1: be like, oh, shit, I'm kind of killing it. Here
- 9:55Speaker 1: we go.
- 9:55Speaker 2: And it would also scare the shit out of whoever
- 9:57Speaker 2: was sitting in the freaking waiting room. In the waiting room, man.
- 10:00Speaker 7: I remember one time, I'm not going to say what
- 10:02Speaker 7: I auditioned for, but this, I was, I had already
- 10:05Speaker 7: gotten a part and I knew it, right? But I'm
- 10:07Speaker 7: sitting there waiting for, to talk to everybody after and
- 10:12Speaker 7: now they're reading this next character and this one guy
- 10:15Speaker 7: goes in and nobody laughs and he comes out and
- 10:18Speaker 7: he sits down And then the next guy goes in
- 10:21Speaker 7: and the whole fucking.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Room goes crazy. That was so hard. You would hear
- 10:27Speaker 1: everybody go.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:28Speaker 7: And I know the other guy that went in, when
- 10:31Speaker 7: he heard the first laugh, he was like, fuck.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I'm dead.
- 10:35Speaker 1: There were these waiting room games, too, that people would play.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I don't know if this still goes on when people, but, like,
- 10:40Speaker 1: there's actors out there who, like, they know you're going next.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:43Speaker 1: And they'll start talking to you, like, so what have
- 10:44Speaker 1: you been up to, man?
- 10:45Speaker 3: Like.
- 10:46Speaker 1: And like, they're like, you just start a conversation and
- 10:48Speaker 1: you're like, when you're young and naive, you just start
- 10:50Speaker 1: going down the road and then they go, okay, Zach.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And you haven't even like, you're totally lost track of
- 10:55Speaker 1: your shit. You forgot your lines. You're not in the zone.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Because this dude was talking your.
- 10:59Speaker 7: Ear off trying to throw your game.
- 11:01Speaker 2: That's awful.
- 11:02Speaker 1: That's that New York shit.
- 11:03Speaker 2: That's how we came up, yo.
- 11:04Speaker 1: That's how we came up.
- 11:05Speaker 2: That's how you came up, yo.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, man. There's a lot of waiting room shit.
- 11:09Speaker 7: I'll never forget this. Marlon Wayans is a perfect example
- 11:12Speaker 7: of this shit. We used to ride the bus, the
- 11:15Speaker 7: M11 bus home every day up into Harlem, right? Well,
- 11:19Speaker 7: I would go up to my parents' theater, and he
- 11:21Speaker 7: was going to his projects, right? And I'll never forget this.
- 11:25Speaker 7: I would see him at auditions all the time. And
- 11:28Speaker 7: one day we're going into an audition and no, he's
- 11:32Speaker 7: coming out and I'm going in and I'm like, yo,
- 11:34Speaker 7: where's the thing at? I'm running so late. And he goes,
- 11:38Speaker 7: typical Donald. And he goes, oh, it's right there.
- 11:40Speaker 2: It's over there. All you got to do is go
- 11:42Speaker 2: up in that room. I go to the room. It's
- 11:44Speaker 2: the motherfucking bathroom. It's the motherfucking bathroom.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Oh, he played you like a fiddle.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Oh my God.
- 11:49Speaker 7: He dips out and I come out, but he's about
- 11:51Speaker 7: to elevate me. He's like, as the shit closes in
- 11:55Speaker 7: his face.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I remember a kid who used to cry. He'd come
- 11:58Speaker 1: out swiping his tears at every audition.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Like he'd do a wet take or he was emotional?
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'm saying whatever happened in the room... he would come
- 12:09Speaker 1: out crying and we were all like flipping through our sides,
- 12:11Speaker 1: being like, where's the crying scene? And we, and, but like,
- 12:16Speaker 1: he just figured out, like if he finds a place
- 12:19Speaker 1: to cry, that they would be like, wow, he's fucking good.
- 12:22Speaker 2: He's a good actor.
- 12:22Speaker 1: He's a good actor. He can cry.
- 12:24Speaker 2: And, and it happened.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It would happen. Like every, we would always up against
- 12:28Speaker 1: this up for the same shit. And he would come
- 12:31Speaker 1: out and everyone's sitting in the waiting room and he's
- 12:32Speaker 1: swiping away his tears. And we, and once somebody asked
- 12:35Speaker 1: him like, yeah, why are you, why are you crying?
- 12:39Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, I just got, I just took
- 12:40Speaker 1: me there. I went there. And I'm like, we're all like,
- 12:43Speaker 1: but it's like a sitcom. And then, and then, oh yeah,
- 12:47Speaker 1: oh yeah, oh yeah, he fell for that shit. But
- 12:49Speaker 1: I remember one time somebody was like, how do you
- 12:51Speaker 1: do that? How do you just like automatically cry on
- 12:53Speaker 1: cue all the time? And he was like, I just
- 12:55Speaker 1: think anyone being mean to animals.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Oh my God.
- 13:02Speaker 1: And he would just start sobbing. Anyway, let's get into 205.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Count us in, Donald. Five, six, seven, eight. Here's some
- 13:07Speaker 1: stories about a show we made. About a bunch of
- 13:12Speaker 1: docs and nurses.
- 13:13Speaker 4: And a janitor who loved to hate. I said, here's
- 13:16Speaker 4: the stories that we all should know. So gather round
- 13:22Speaker 4: to hear our, gather round to hear our Scrubs Rewatch
- 13:26Speaker 4: Show with Zach and Donald.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 13:31Speaker 1: All right, here we go, you guys. This is a
- 13:33Speaker 1: very good episode.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I laughed quite a bit in this episode.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I think this is one of the, I think episode
- 13:39Speaker 1: five of season two of The Revival is one of
- 13:41Speaker 1: the best ones so far.
- 13:43Speaker 7: It's a nice ramp up too. Like it starts off
- 13:47Speaker 7: and everything's kind of calm. Well, there's a little bit
- 13:50Speaker 7: of beef in between Amara and Deshaun in the beginning,
- 13:53Speaker 7: but it starts off kind of calm and by the
- 13:55Speaker 7: end of.
- 13:55Speaker 2: It, It's crazy, man.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Yes, it goes off the rails. And we'll get into it.
- 13:59Speaker 1: But I think you guys did such a good job.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Your storyline together is so funny. You guys play it
- 14:05Speaker 1: so real. I love you guys together.
- 14:09Speaker 6: Yes.
- 14:09Speaker 1: You're such a good comic duo together. You take turns
- 14:13Speaker 1: playing the straight man. I mean, that's what Donald and
- 14:15Speaker 1: I have done for years. We take turns, you know,
- 14:18Speaker 1: because if you have two people being broad, it kind
- 14:21Speaker 1: of gets muddy. But I think you guys are lovely
- 14:23Speaker 1: in your dynamic of taking turns. with who's being the
- 14:27Speaker 1: crazy person and who's being the sane one, you know
- 14:29Speaker 1: what I mean? And there was a great dance in
- 14:31Speaker 1: this one that culminates in the fight in Turk's office,
- 14:34Speaker 1: which we'll get to.
- 14:35Speaker 2: We'll get to that part.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I want to open with the beach. I want to
- 14:37Speaker 1: give a shout out to Roger Fiers, our amazing production designer,
- 14:40Speaker 1: because we were supposed to shoot this beach stuff on
- 14:42Speaker 1: a real beach. But the weather up here in Vancouver,
- 14:46Speaker 1: you can never really predict. And it was all of
- 14:48Speaker 1: a sudden on those days scheduled to rain. So Roger
- 14:52Speaker 1: and his amazing team built a beach on our stage.
- 14:57Speaker 1: And that's a green screen. By the time you audience
- 15:00Speaker 1: see it, it'll all look real, but that's a green
- 15:03Speaker 1: screen beach on our stage. I want to give him
- 15:06Speaker 1: a shout out.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Let's talk about the storyline.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Okay. So we have Bilson back and Scott Foley. And
- 15:12Speaker 1: obviously it's very hard to date a doctor with this schedule.
- 15:14Speaker 1: And so that's one of the things that this show
- 15:16Speaker 1: is getting into. this episode is getting into is that
- 15:19Speaker 1: if you're a loved one of a nurse or a
- 15:21Speaker 1: doctor who works in a hospital, the hours can be
- 15:24Speaker 1: grueling and it can be frustrating, especially in the dating
- 15:26Speaker 1: courtship phase.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Right.
- 15:28Speaker 7: Uh, and we learned that early on with Charlie and with, uh,
- 15:33Speaker 7: Sean that they're, well, Charlie's getting used to it. Sean's
- 15:38Speaker 7: been through this before. This, it reminds him of what
- 15:40Speaker 7: his dating life was like with Elliot before. And, uh,
- 15:45Speaker 7: you know, that's, it's, it's funny moments, uh, That cold open,
- 15:49Speaker 7: I was like, oh, snap.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Is that what?
- 15:51Speaker 7: Are we going to see this a lot this season?
- 15:54Speaker 7: And Rachel Bilson rips open her top.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Yes. And the dude falls.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Yeah, collapses.
- 16:00Speaker 7: Hindsight being 20-20, this is part of the reason why
- 16:04Speaker 7: Sean was like, oh.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't even think of that.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:08Speaker 1: So you're saying the seeds of what happened at the
- 16:10Speaker 1: end were planted when- In the beginning.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Of the show.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I didn't even think of that. When Sean sees how
- 16:15Speaker 1: fine Rachel is.
- 16:16Speaker 7: He's like, yo, don't you got a beast? He even
- 16:18Speaker 7: tries to get you out of there. Don't you got
- 16:19Speaker 7: a beast somewhere, dog?
- 16:22Speaker 1: There were so many alts to that. Plenty of doctors
- 16:24Speaker 1: in the hospital, Sean. He'll be fine, Sean. Well, Rachel, yeah,
- 16:33Speaker 1: I didn't even think of that. The seeds of their
- 16:35Speaker 1: relationship are planted at the very top.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:38Speaker 1: You know, so Deshaun and Amara are fighting. We know
- 16:41Speaker 1: it's a fruit cup. And we set up because true
- 16:43Speaker 1: fans of the show know that Turk and JD used to,
- 16:47Speaker 1: when they were broke, interns used to steal fruit cups.
- 16:49Speaker 1: So that's what Turk is reminded of. And raccoons are
- 16:54Speaker 1: becoming a theme on the show.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Yes.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Do you notice that?
- 16:58Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:58Speaker 1: They keep coming up. The audience will see that they
- 17:00Speaker 1: come up in other episodes. And we keep going back
- 17:02Speaker 1: and forth on how you and I pronounce raccoons.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Raccoons, yeah. I say raccoon. You were saying raccoon.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I was saying raccoons.
- 17:08Speaker 2: And then you were told it was raccoon.
- 17:10Speaker 1: No, but I just thought it would be funny if
- 17:11Speaker 1: JD pronounced it raccoon. But then what happened was we
- 17:14Speaker 1: chose a take where I say raccoon, but then you
- 17:17Speaker 1: say raccoon. And I say raccoon, yeah. I just thought
- 17:22Speaker 1: it would be a funny, stupid, nonsensical runner if Turk
- 17:25Speaker 1: and JD both say raccoon. But we ended up putting
- 17:28Speaker 1: a take in where I say raccoon and only you
- 17:30Speaker 1: say raccoon. Yes. Just wanted to clock that for the audience.
- 17:35Speaker 7: I want to pitch this. I don't know if this
- 17:37Speaker 7: is happening. This could be a big mistake, but I
- 17:40Speaker 7: want to pitch that we get a puppet raccoon at
- 17:42Speaker 7: some point.
- 17:43Speaker 2: In this show.
- 17:44Speaker 1: It would probably be more like, that would be a
- 17:45Speaker 1: little too like, what's the golf movie? Caddyshack.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Exactly, yes.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I think it would be more like a CGI raccoon.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Okay, fine.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Because we do have a possum coming up, and I
- 17:54Speaker 1: heard that he's going to be a CGI possum.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Well, they've come a long way.
- 18:00Speaker 1: But puppets look like puppets. Okay, so y'all are fighting,
- 18:05Speaker 1: and I thought it was funny when Amanda Deshana says,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I kind of saw it coming when you're talking about
- 18:10Speaker 1: how your wife left you.
- 18:11Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 18:12Speaker 2: That's fucked up, man.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Oh, it's so.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Yeah, but if you're watching the show, Turk beef. Messing
- 18:19Speaker 2: up a.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Lot at home, man. Yeah, all the time. I think
- 18:21Speaker 1: that's funny that she says, I kind of saw it coming,
- 18:24Speaker 1: on a trip, Deshauna. Right.
- 18:26Speaker 3: I just love it when Deshauna catches little strays.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Like, damn, sorry.
- 18:31Speaker 7: Well, you consistently, shots are fired consistently with your character
- 18:38Speaker 7: towards my character.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I can just imagine her in the hallway watching everything
- 18:41Speaker 3: being like, Noted.
- 18:43Speaker 1: She really, she's not very intimidated by Turk. Like she
- 18:46Speaker 1: respects him as a surgeon and as a brilliant doctor,
- 18:50Speaker 1: but she doesn't seem really intimidated by him at all.
- 18:53Speaker 1: She's constantly, maybe that's a generational thing, but she's just like,
- 18:56Speaker 1: shooting shots.
- 18:57Speaker 4: 100%.
- 18:58Speaker 3: I think she knows her confidence. She knows exactly what
- 19:01Speaker 3: she's capable of. She knows what he's capable of. And
- 19:04Speaker 3: I feel like Deshauna can see that and was like, hey,
- 19:06Speaker 3: these are all similarities.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah. But that's a fun foil for Turk because she's
- 19:11Speaker 1: matching his cockiness.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 19:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 7: Which is the exact opposite of Amara, who let, I mean,
- 19:18Speaker 7: still to this point, even after the choke and everything
- 19:22Speaker 7: like that and thrown against the wall in the fantasy
- 19:24Speaker 7: and her standing up for herself with hooch and everything
- 19:27Speaker 7: like that she still you know allows uh dashana to
- 19:32Speaker 7: almost bully her in a lot of ways.
- 19:34Speaker 6: Yeah yeah she's still not all the way.
- 19:35Speaker 7: There yet yeah even with the even with explaining it
- 19:38Speaker 7: to the the the patient uh who later on mr
- 19:42Speaker 7: whistler yeah uh even explaining it to him she's like
- 19:47Speaker 7: you know what what i do is i just pretty
- 19:49Speaker 7: much bury my head in the sand and I allow
- 19:51Speaker 7: her to do whatever.
- 19:52Speaker 2: She wants, but I'm not going to do that to you.
- 19:54Speaker 2: What I'm going to do is I'm going to get
- 19:55Speaker 2: you some earplugs.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Yeah, because you have a heart thing. I like that.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:57Speaker 1: But you shouldn't do that because you have a heart thing.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I want to say something funny about kicking that old
- 20:04Speaker 1: man in the trunk. I didn't know.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Oh, that was.
- 20:07Speaker 1: I didn't know it was a stuntman, first of all. No,
- 20:10Speaker 1: I wasn't kicking him at first. We were just doing, like,
- 20:13Speaker 1: closing the door and trying to get the trunk down.
- 20:15Speaker 1: And then Trevor, who's our amazing stunt coordinator, came over
- 20:18Speaker 1: to me and was like, you know, you can be rougher.
- 20:20Speaker 1: He's a stuntman. And I said to him, oh, I'm sorry,
- 20:23Speaker 1: I didn't know you're a stuntman. I go, do you
- 20:24Speaker 1: mind if we do a bit where I'm trying to
- 20:25Speaker 1: kick your shoulder a bit? He goes, go nuts. I
- 20:27Speaker 1: was like, are you sure? He's like, yes, it'll be
- 20:29Speaker 1: so funny. So I just started, like, good fellas.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Oh, my God. That's hella funny. Let it happen.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Wasn't that funny?
- 20:38Speaker 2: That was hilarious.
- 20:39Speaker 1: We were cracking up on the day. And in my head,
- 20:41Speaker 1: I'm like, this isn't going to make it. This is
- 20:42Speaker 1: just too crazy.
- 20:43Speaker 2: And then it cuts to the Scorsese Goodfellas shot.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yeah, then I gave him the full Goodfellas.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:48Speaker 2: And then even the trunk closing on his head.
- 20:49Speaker 1: That didn't happen.
- 20:50Speaker 2: How did you guys do that? Did they put a
- 20:51Speaker 2: cameraman in the trunk for that?
- 20:53Speaker 1: The seats folded down. So yeah, the cameraman wasn't locked
- 20:56Speaker 1: in the trunk. It was one of those seats folded
- 20:58Speaker 1: down situations.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Dope.
- 21:00Speaker 1: But yeah, that was well done. Um, let's get to, yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 1: So Sean and Charlie are hanging out in admissions. She
- 21:13Speaker 1: shakes her shoulder. Did you know that she shakes her
- 21:15Speaker 1: shoulders to the good dunk of the song?
- 21:17Speaker 7: And this was, this was different from the original. Like I've, I,
- 21:22Speaker 7: I don't know if you noticed, Joel, but I watch
- 21:23Speaker 7: this thing over and over again.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Donald has been granted access to early cuts now, Joel.
- 21:27Speaker 2: This was a mistake.
- 21:27Speaker 1: And I don't know if it's good or bad.
- 21:29Speaker 2: This was a mistake.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Now he has to compare earlier cuts to the final cut.
- 21:33Speaker 2: No, that's not what the mistake is.
- 21:35Speaker 7: The mistake is that I'm watching every episode like four
- 21:38Speaker 7: or five times.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Why is that bad? That's good for the podcast.
- 21:41Speaker 2: It's not good for you, though, because you know what's
- 21:43Speaker 2: going to come from me.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Well, no, you don't seem to object with what we
- 21:46Speaker 1: settled in on as the locked cut ever.
- 21:47Speaker 2: No, never.
- 21:48Speaker 7: But I come to you in the middle of freaking
- 21:50Speaker 7: the director's cut and I'll be like, yo, I got notes.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Yeah, well, that's understandable. The director's cut is always very
- 21:55Speaker 1: long and has jokes that didn't work. And each cut
- 21:59Speaker 1: we whittle down, we whittle down. We have to get
- 22:01Speaker 1: these shows to 21 minutes and 30 seconds, which is
- 22:03Speaker 1: super tricky. and inevitably funny stuff gets gone. You know,
- 22:07Speaker 1: the dance sequence that we did, uh, season one.
- 22:11Speaker 2: One of our brisket.
- 22:12Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 22:12Speaker 1: One of our camera operators came up to me, Brooke
- 22:16Speaker 1: and James, I want you to remind me to get
- 22:18Speaker 1: this to Brooke because she came up to me and
- 22:19Speaker 1: it was so sweet and earnest. And she's like, do
- 22:21Speaker 1: you think I could see the dance sequence about the brisket?
- 22:25Speaker 1: She goes, it was cut. And I thought it was
- 22:26Speaker 1: so funny and I'd love to see it. And I
- 22:29Speaker 1: was like, I'll get you the sequence, Brooke. I felt
- 22:32Speaker 1: so bad because, you know, obviously our crew works so
- 22:35Speaker 1: hard on things and inevitably stuff gets cut. But we're
- 22:39Speaker 1: trying to put some more of that stuff on Instagram.
- 22:42Speaker 7: That's the other mistake for you giving me the freaking
- 22:45Speaker 7: rights to look at all of this stuff, man. Because
- 22:47Speaker 7: when things get cut, I do get disappointed sometimes also.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Me too.
- 22:51Speaker 5: That was a big one too.
- 22:52Speaker 3: That was like a whole day. That was a lot
- 22:54Speaker 3: of folks in there.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Dancing and singing.
- 22:56Speaker 2: It was. And sweating.
- 22:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Yeah, it just comes down to, you know, you have
- 23:03Speaker 1: to make tough choices.
- 23:04Speaker 2: For sure. You know?
- 23:05Speaker 7: Well, I hope, I don't want to, I'm not going
- 23:08Speaker 7: to give it away, but we do something really epic
- 23:10Speaker 7: in episode.
- 23:11Speaker 1: That's not going to get cut.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Shut up.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I know what you're talking about.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 23:14Speaker 6: That cannot get cut.
- 23:16Speaker 1: That's not going to get cut. All right, let's talk
- 23:19Speaker 1: about my Cox impression. Not bad.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Not bad at all. You actually sounded like.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Him a couple times. Well, you know what I did?
- 23:26Speaker 1: I got to tell you my cheat code. I called
- 23:28Speaker 1: Johnny and said... Would you lay this down for me?
- 23:31Speaker 1: I want to make sure I do you justice.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Right on.
- 23:34Speaker 1: So he sent me audio on my phone, three different
- 23:38Speaker 1: takes of it, because he's amazing and I love him.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Not bad.
- 23:42Speaker 1: And so I summoned my inner Johnny being inspired by
- 23:47Speaker 1: those audio recordings.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Not. Not bad. Not bad. Yeah, it was really good.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Thank you. I couldn't do the whistle. The whistle is Johnny.
- 23:54Speaker 1: We stole that from another episode, his whistle.
- 24:00Speaker 3: That's pretty close.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Yeah, but he can do like one of these.
- 24:02Speaker 5: Yeah, he hits his power to it.
- 24:04Speaker 2: But he doesn't even put his hand in his mouth.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a very good whistler. He's a whistler. Asher's
- 24:10Speaker 1: first night alone. Let's get to that storyline. I love
- 24:12Speaker 1: this story.
- 24:13Speaker 2: So did I.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I really thought that Jacob and Ava are so sweet
- 24:20Speaker 1: in this storyline.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yes, yeah.
- 24:23Speaker 1: And, you know, we learn, obviously we're going to learn
- 24:25Speaker 1: what happens in the end, but I think Penny, no
- 24:28Speaker 1: snoring during the podcast.
- 24:29Speaker 3: She's having dreams down there.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Yeah, she's dreaming about Ash and Todd. Okay, and then we,
- 24:35Speaker 1: of course, learn the main story point of the night
- 24:37Speaker 1: that Turk is excited for his big steak night. And
- 24:40Speaker 1: talk about how this was inspired by the writers in
- 24:43Speaker 1: real life.
- 24:43Speaker 7: So I was trying to ball out in front of
- 24:47Speaker 7: the writers like, yo, I'm an executive producer.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Aseem was here.
- 24:53Speaker 7: She was the showrunner of the show, and she had
- 24:55Speaker 7: a bunch of writers in town with her. And to celebrate,
- 24:59Speaker 7: I was like, I'm going to take you all out
- 25:01Speaker 7: to steak. Now, this is after Zach has taken everybody
- 25:04Speaker 7: out to dinner several times.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Every Saturday night, we do a dinner. We're going to
- 25:07Speaker 1: do one tonight. We do a cast bonding dinner at
- 25:10Speaker 1: a nice restaurant. But Donald decided he... I couldn't go out.
- 25:12Speaker 2: It was a school night. It was a school night.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I don't go out on school nights. Right. And Donald
- 25:15Speaker 1: was going to take all the writers out.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Yes. And I did that.
- 25:20Speaker 4: And.
- 25:20Speaker 7: you know, a couple other people showed up, and it
- 25:23Speaker 7: was a fun night, and we were, you know, we
- 25:26Speaker 7: got inebriated.
- 25:28Speaker 2: But the thing was, I didn't realize that they were gonna.
- 25:32Speaker 7: I didn't know that they were going to order such
- 25:34Speaker 7: expensive cuts.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Right, right, right.
- 25:37Speaker 1: This dude gets out there and he's like, get whatever
- 25:39Speaker 1: you want, get whatever you want. So they take him
- 25:41Speaker 1: up on it.
- 25:41Speaker 7: No, but when a motherfucker says, get whatever you want,
- 25:44Speaker 7: get whatever you want, that should be code for don't
- 25:47Speaker 7: get whatever you want.
- 25:48Speaker 3: In a black household, that's code for it.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Be mindful. This ain't no freaking, you know.
- 26:00Speaker 1: These dudes ordered like A5 Wagyu. No, that was.
- 26:03Speaker 7: Wait, hold on. This is a culmination of two nights.
- 26:08Speaker 7: But the first night, we went crazy and we had
- 26:10Speaker 7: a great time. And my business manager was like, it's
- 26:13Speaker 7: not a problem. Don't worry about it.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I love that your business manager would be like, that
- 26:18Speaker 1: dinner was a problem.
- 26:19Speaker 7: Right, that would have been nuts, right? But my business
- 26:22Speaker 7: manager was like, it's cool, don't trip. So now I'm like,
- 26:24Speaker 7: all right, we're going to do it again. And this time,
- 26:27Speaker 7: Zach can go... I will tell you something right now.
- 26:30Speaker 2: That one was a lot. There was a little bit of, like,
- 26:36Speaker 2: anger behind your ordering.
- 26:38Speaker 1: There was a little bit of resentment that I pay
- 26:41Speaker 1: for every dinner. I went a little crazy. I did
- 26:44Speaker 1: get the A5. I did order an expensive ass bottle
- 26:49Speaker 1: of wine. Because I was so pissed that Donald was
- 26:51Speaker 1: complaining about picking up one check. So I was like,
- 26:54Speaker 1: you know what? Donald, are you picking up again? I
- 26:56Speaker 1: will be attending this time. So anyway, they bring out
- 27:00Speaker 1: a decanter and he's like, Donald's like, what the hell
- 27:03Speaker 1: wine did you order that needs a decanter? And then
- 27:08Speaker 1: I did look, I did clock that check. That check
- 27:10Speaker 1: was crazy.
- 27:10Speaker 2: That check was not a joke.
- 27:11Speaker 1: But you're going to be fine.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:13Speaker 2: All right.
- 27:13Speaker 1: So we wanted to put some of those fun stories.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Donald does love steak. He does love looking at the
- 27:18Speaker 1: meat board when they.
- 27:19Speaker 2: And there was an actual golden steak at that point, too.
- 27:21Speaker 1: But was it display or was it golden? There was
- 27:24Speaker 1: gold on it?
- 27:25Speaker 2: No, it was a display.
- 27:26Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 27:26Speaker 2: It was also a display.
- 27:26Speaker 1: So that came from the real life, that there was
- 27:28Speaker 1: a display steak. And I was like, we eating.
- 27:31Speaker 2: That shit tonight.
- 27:32Speaker 5: It was a night, too, and everyone was banging on
- 27:34Speaker 5: the door.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Do you remember that?
- 27:36Speaker 1: Yes, yes.
- 27:36Speaker 5: That was a rowdy night at Black and Blue.
- 27:39Speaker 1: We should give a shout out to Black and Blue.
- 27:40Speaker 1: It's our favorite steakhouse here in Vancouver. If you're ever
- 27:43Speaker 1: in town, it's where we go to a lot of
- 27:45Speaker 1: steak nights.
- 27:46Speaker 6: Yes.
- 27:47Speaker 1: It's our go-to Vancouver steak night. In fact, so much
- 27:50Speaker 1: so that Donald has befriended one of the waiters and
- 27:53Speaker 1: he came and played a waiter.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Yeah, he did background work.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Background work in the steak night.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Yes.
- 28:00Speaker 7: And every time I go to Black and Blue now,
- 28:05Speaker 7: they always lace me with a nice little area and
- 28:09Speaker 7: I get to eat good steak. So shout out Black
- 28:11Speaker 7: and Blue.
- 28:12Speaker 1: All right. I laughed when... So JD and.
- 28:17Speaker 1: And Elliot are fighting over if they can bring their
- 28:18Speaker 1: significant others. And JD says, let me, I need someplace
- 28:22Speaker 1: to put my love. Let me park it in her. Yes.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Let me park it in her.
- 28:28Speaker 5: Us both having that written down.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Did you guys write that down?
- 28:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:32Speaker 1: It's so funny.
- 28:33Speaker 5: Let me park it in her.
- 28:36Speaker 1: That was not in the script. It's so tender.
- 28:38Speaker 2: We were cracking up.
- 28:40Speaker 1: We had each other rolling. Let me park it in
- 28:42Speaker 1: her truck.
- 28:44Speaker 2: At one point, it got real growly, too. It got crazy.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Let me park it in her truck.
- 28:50Speaker 2: That's so scary. I don't like that one. No.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Let's talk about Dubois' ghost story.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. I loved that.
- 28:58Speaker 5: And the hey girl.
- 28:59Speaker 2: What is it? Oh, my God.
- 29:00Speaker 1: And the hey girl at the end.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Let's talk about Michael James Scott.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Yeah, let's talk about him. So that was a really
- 29:06Speaker 1: funny monologue, and Michael nailed it. And I was worried
- 29:09Speaker 1: at the time, in the spirit of 21 minutes and
- 29:11Speaker 1: 30 seconds, were we going to be able to keep
- 29:13Speaker 1: this whole thing? But I got to tell you, when
- 29:15Speaker 1: we got to the edit room, we were like, we
- 29:16Speaker 1: can't cut this. It's so funny. And he crushed it.
- 29:19Speaker 7: Not just that, but also Jacob's turn on it also
- 29:23Speaker 7: is really dope, too, on how he's like, I'm from London, man.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Ghosts don't scare me. Come on.
- 29:29Speaker 7: And it pays off in the end where he finds
- 29:31Speaker 7: his comfort he feels at home in said ghost room.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's very sweet. I didn't even think of that.
- 29:38Speaker 1: This is so good, because you watch episodes so many times,
- 29:40Speaker 1: you're seeing all these insights.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Bro.
- 29:42Speaker 1: I'm really proud of you. You've really leveled up your
- 29:45Speaker 1: podcast game.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Thank you. Joelle, you see how I do?
- 29:47Speaker 1: Joelle, you see how we level up?
- 29:48Speaker 3: I do see. I, too, feel pride.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Joelle, we got a fancy set and now Donald, like,
- 29:53Speaker 1: does fucking, like, watches the episode five times and sees
- 29:57Speaker 1: little insights.
- 29:58Speaker 2: It's like a real return on investment here. Listen, I'm
- 30:00Speaker 2: going to tell you something.
- 30:03Speaker 1: It is a real return on investment. And look, Joelle,
- 30:07Speaker 1: he has a notepad and he brought today.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Don't show that. How do you feel about it, Donald?
- 30:13Speaker 2: Are you feeling the pride as well?
- 30:14Speaker 7: Look, this is really ridiculous that you guys are doing this.
- 30:17Speaker 7: It's not that big of a deal.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Oh, it is.
- 30:20Speaker 2: I'm proud of you.
- 30:21Speaker 1: You're dialed.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Was I that bad?
- 30:23Speaker 1: Well, you were in a dark room on the floor.
- 30:25Speaker 1: In the beginning, you were in your closet.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:27Speaker 1: You were mega baked.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Who says I'm not mega baked now?
- 30:32Speaker 1: Oh, here we go. Hold on.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Who says I'm not mega baked now?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Wow. Did you not know we have sound effects?
- 30:40Speaker 3: That's a bong.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I don't smoke from a bong anymore.
- 30:42Speaker 1: You don't?
- 30:43Speaker 2: Well, not up in Vancouver.
- 30:44Speaker 1: This is Donald's wife and how she feels about me.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Zach, I love you. Zach, I love you.
- 30:49Speaker 5: Zach, Zach, Zach.
- 30:50Speaker 7: You know what's crazy is that the more I hear that,
- 30:52Speaker 7: the more I can hear the love in her voice.
- 30:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I love you.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Zach, I love you. Zach, I love you. Zach, I
- 30:58Speaker 1: love you. That sounds like a B tag. So, okay.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I want to give a shout out to our assistant editor, Deepa,
- 31:05Speaker 1: because she's amazing. And she did something. She does a
- 31:08Speaker 1: lot of clever things. And I don't know if you
- 31:11Speaker 1: guys caught this, but when Dubois is talking about the
- 31:13Speaker 1: haunted room, you hear the ding-ding of the call. She
- 31:18Speaker 1: says every night that call bell rings. And it's a
- 31:23Speaker 1: little subtle thing, but while Dubois is talking, you hear ding-ding.
- 31:27Speaker 1: And I love little elegant touches like that, and I
- 31:30Speaker 1: cannot take credit for them. There are so many people
- 31:32Speaker 1: who work on the show. But that's something that our
- 31:35Speaker 1: assistant editor, Deepa, put in there, and I was like, oh,
- 31:37Speaker 1: I love that.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Okay, so.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Should we talk about shooting that dinner scene all day?
- 31:41Speaker 2: No, I want to talk about a couple of things.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 31:44Speaker 7: I want to talk about the interns and what they're
- 31:46Speaker 7: doing in the hospital at night. Because at one point,
- 31:49Speaker 7: Asher says to Tosh, if you're asking if I can
- 31:52Speaker 7: do it again, the answer's pretty much no. About sex.
- 31:56Speaker 7: About sex. Are they doing it in the hospital? Did
- 31:58Speaker 7: she come back so they could do it in the hospital?
- 32:01Speaker 1: No, I inferred that they had had sex once that day.
- 32:04Speaker 1: And he's saying, hey, I'm a one time a day
- 32:07Speaker 1: kind of guy. By the way, I never thought it
- 32:09Speaker 1: was going to last because it wasn't in the script
- 32:10Speaker 1: that when she points to her groin and goes, he's tired.
- 32:15Speaker 1: I never thought ABC was going to let that on
- 32:17Speaker 1: the air.
- 32:17Speaker 2: It stayed.
- 32:18Speaker 1: But they did.
- 32:19Speaker 2: It's hilarious.
- 32:19Speaker 1: We occasionally get things like that on.
- 32:21Speaker 7: And then also- He's tired. You guys aren't allowed to
- 32:28Speaker 7: hook up in the house at.
- 32:30Speaker 1: All because- Well, she's not letting- Right.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Absolutely not.
- 32:32Speaker 7: Because- It pays dividends, folks. It pays dividends later on.
- 32:38Speaker 7: But when watching it, I was like, damn, Deshauna is
- 32:42Speaker 7: just in full control of this relationship.
- 32:44Speaker 2: She was a tight ship.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Deshauna has a lot of rules.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Deshauna got a lot going on in there.
- 32:51Speaker 2: That only benefit her.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Right.
- 32:53Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 32:54Speaker 2: That's true.
- 32:55Speaker 1: We're going to see, without spoilers, we're going to see
- 32:58Speaker 1: how that evolves throughout the season. But I think they're
- 33:00Speaker 1: really teeing up. your dynamic in a great way.
- 33:03Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Because you're so alpha and, like, headstrong, and she's, you know,
- 33:09Speaker 1: being bullied by you, essentially. She's like, I have a
- 33:11Speaker 1: new boyfriend. Like, can he ever come over?
- 33:13Speaker 7: No.
- 33:14Speaker 2: She's like, why can't I have sex with him? Yeah.
- 33:16Speaker 2: She moves out of her aunt's house. I can't ever
- 33:17Speaker 2: have sex with him?
- 33:18Speaker 1: Right.
- 33:18Speaker 2: And then, well, it'll pay dividends. Never mind. I'll let
- 33:21Speaker 2: it go.
- 33:23Speaker 1: So we shot at this steakhouse all day long because
- 33:27Speaker 1: there's so many scenes, and... there's so much coverage you
- 33:31Speaker 1: have to shoot of all of us around that table
- 33:33Speaker 1: that we, I've never done this in my whole career
- 33:36Speaker 1: for an entire day. All of us sat around that
- 33:38Speaker 1: table and shot all day long.
- 33:41Speaker 2: I like days like that though.
- 33:42Speaker 7: I like days where you spend a whole day shooting
- 33:47Speaker 7: pretty much three or four scenes and they take the
- 33:50Speaker 7: time to work it because then it really feels like
- 33:53Speaker 7: you get everything out that you want.
- 33:55Speaker 2: To get out.
- 33:55Speaker 7: So what you guys are seeing on film, we block
- 33:59Speaker 7: shot that. And so, There were several.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Explain what that means.
- 34:03Speaker 7: Okay, so block shooting is when you have a... You
- 34:06Speaker 7: look at your schedule and you're like, wow, we have
- 34:08Speaker 7: so many shots that we need to do. It would
- 34:11Speaker 7: be great if we just do all of our shots
- 34:13Speaker 7: facing this way first and then we'll turn around and
- 34:17Speaker 7: shoot the remaining shots the opposite way.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Through multiple scenes.
- 34:21Speaker 7: Through multiple scenes. And then if we need to, we'll
- 34:24Speaker 7: get a couple of angles here and there and stuff
- 34:26Speaker 7: like that. But for the most part, We're going to
- 34:28Speaker 7: start this way for one half of the day and
- 34:30Speaker 7: then we're going to turn it around the other half.
- 34:32Speaker 7: And so that's what we did that day. But in
- 34:34Speaker 7: doing that, you get to work each scene until you
- 34:39Speaker 7: get it. Because once they turn around, they turn around
- 34:42Speaker 7: and there's no, okay, I'm going to, I'll be right back.
- 34:45Speaker 7: I'm going to work out this other thing. So you
- 34:47Speaker 7: come in and you've got a great idea of what
- 34:49Speaker 7: you want to do and then you get to do
- 34:51Speaker 7: it until.
- 34:53Speaker 2: you.
- 34:53Speaker 7: Feel really satisfied about it. And that's, what's great about,
- 34:57Speaker 7: I love days like that. And you're getting everything from
- 35:00Speaker 7: everybody else because now they're in their mind, depending on
- 35:04Speaker 7: which way you start in their mind, they're like, all right,
- 35:06Speaker 7: when it gets to that part, I'm going to do this.
- 35:08Speaker 2: And when it gets to this part, I'm going to
- 35:09Speaker 2: do that. And when it gets to, and.
- 35:10Speaker 7: That makes it so much fucking, it makes it exciting
- 35:14Speaker 7: for the scene because you know, when it's all said
- 35:16Speaker 7: and done, you're going to have a great scene. And
- 35:18Speaker 7: so it's really important that the person that starts off
- 35:20Speaker 7: the block shooting starts off with a bang and, I'd
- 35:23Speaker 7: like to say I started off the block shooting that day.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Yes, you did.
- 35:25Speaker 1: We started with Donald, and you brought it, and you
- 35:27Speaker 1: were very funny. Just put it out there. Yeah, you
- 35:30Speaker 1: did a good job.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Dancing on a bum knee.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Wait, did you hurt your knee with your dancing?
- 35:35Speaker 2: Do you remember James Brown?
- 35:37Speaker 4: No.
- 35:38Speaker 1: You don't remember James Brown. No, I remember James Brown,
- 35:40Speaker 1: but what's the context?
- 35:41Speaker 2: I did the splits.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 35:42Speaker 5: Did you hurt your knee?
- 35:43Speaker 2: I did. It was swollen for weeks. Oh, my God.
- 35:46Speaker 1: You hurt your knee doing James Brown?
- 35:47Speaker 6: For weeks.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Ask Wayne. It's on the books. Okay.
- 35:50Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 35:50Speaker 1: There you go, everyone. He's getting injured.
- 35:52Speaker 2: You see what I do for y'all?
- 35:54Speaker 1: He's getting injured, making y'all laugh.
- 35:56Speaker 5: It was really impressive.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Thank you very much. You were there that day. I was.
- 35:59Speaker 5: That was amazing.
- 36:00Speaker 2: You were impressive that day as well.
- 36:02Speaker 1: JD is so desperate for Charlie to like him. I mean,
- 36:05Speaker 1: that's what's funny is how needy, to me, it's funny,
- 36:08Speaker 1: how needy he's being. He's like, are you having a
- 36:10Speaker 1: good time?
- 36:11Speaker 2: Dude, he kisses her shoulder.
- 36:13Speaker 1: He kisses her shoulder like, are you having a good time?
- 36:15Speaker 1: And then he starts noticing that she's kind of checked out.
- 36:17Speaker 1: And that's when he asked Turk to go full party boy.
- 36:20Speaker 2: This is a real person that you've experienced before.
- 36:23Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 36:24Speaker 2: You've seen me at restaurants like this before. Oh, yeah.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Donald definitely gets loud when he's got a few in him,
- 36:30Speaker 1: and he can definitely go full party boy.
- 36:33Speaker 2: And I try to get the table. I try to
- 36:34Speaker 2: get everybody involved, too.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Yeah, he tries to get the party going.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Joel, have you ever seen full party boy?
- 36:39Speaker 1: No, Joel hasn't witnessed it.
- 36:40Speaker 2: I have not witnessed it yet, unfortunately.
- 36:42Speaker 7: Unfortunately.
- 36:42Speaker 2: But I look forward to it. Would you like to
- 36:44Speaker 2: witness full party boy? We need to go out and eat.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Are you buying? Yeah, of course.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Come on.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Let's do it. Just order Wagyu A5.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Thousand percent right let's talk.
- 36:51Speaker 1: About sarah licking her olives now she used to have
- 36:54Speaker 1: three olives and i believe it was donald who said
- 36:56Speaker 1: to her it would be funnier if it was just
- 36:59Speaker 1: two olives because it'll look like balls yes and sarah
- 37:02Speaker 1: agreed that that was funnier yes and so she started
- 37:05Speaker 1: tonguing those olives she tongued the.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Shit out of those oh my word I know I'm
- 37:14Speaker 2: not alone in this situation.
- 37:15Speaker 1: No, I got to tell you, everyone at the table,
- 37:19Speaker 1: from Rachel to Foley to Donald to me, was like, wow,
- 37:22Speaker 1: we're seeing a skill set we didn't know Sarah had.
- 37:28Speaker 6: Okay, but can we talk about how hot Sarah looks?
- 37:31Speaker 1: She looks very sexy.
- 37:32Speaker 5: In that dress, she looks amazing.
- 37:34Speaker 1: She looks very hot, and she was... We've all.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Been on the boat. We all know what Sarah's working with.
- 37:39Speaker 5: She's gorgeous.
- 37:39Speaker 2: She's got it going on.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Sarah is so hot, and it was successfully sexual when
- 37:46Speaker 1: she tongued the olives.
- 37:47Speaker 2: It was very, yes. It was uncomfortable and arousing at
- 37:52Speaker 2: the same time.
- 37:53Speaker 3: Yes.
- 37:53Speaker 7: Because it was like, oh, my God, that's my sister.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Oh, my God. She's tonguing the crap out.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Of some olives.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Yes.
- 38:02Speaker 1: There you go. Tannins and champagne. We thought it would
- 38:06Speaker 1: be funny if we made that up on the day.
- 38:08Speaker 1: We had to look up if champagne, what the tannins
- 38:13Speaker 1: were in champagne. And we learned that there were none.
- 38:15Speaker 2: There are none.
- 38:15Speaker 1: We thought it funny if Foley corrected JD and says
- 38:19Speaker 1: there are no tannins.
- 38:21Speaker 7: We should talk about Foley also and how great he is.
- 38:24Speaker 7: And also Rachel and how great she is. They only
- 38:28Speaker 7: had two episodes this season and both of them, well,
- 38:33Speaker 7: Foley only had two episodes this season and he crushed
- 38:37Speaker 7: both of them.
- 38:38Speaker 2: He was just so amazing. He fits in so well
- 38:39Speaker 2: with the comedy style.
- 38:40Speaker 1: I wish they were around longer. I really wish they
- 38:43Speaker 1: were around longer. It's just, we have so many characters
- 38:45Speaker 1: on this show. And obviously their availability, they're both busy actors, but.
- 38:53Speaker 1: I loved the episodes.
- 38:54Speaker 2: That they both were, you know what I mean?
- 38:56Speaker 1: And when this was over, obviously at the end when
- 38:59Speaker 1: they're hooking up, it's like, it's hilarious. But I'm like, oh,
- 39:02Speaker 1: we're going to have to find a clever way for
- 39:04Speaker 1: them both to come back because I so love having
- 39:07Speaker 1: them around.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Dubois' bitchiness... Starts around 10 p.m., we learned.
- 39:13Speaker 3: The bald strays are so funny.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Catching strays for being bald.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Why does he think Tosh is going to go bald?
- 39:20Speaker 1: She has the most beautiful 25-year-old hair.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Full head hair.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Yeah, do you think he's jealous of her young person hair?
- 39:27Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 39:28Speaker 3: But it's just so funny to just be like. like,
- 39:30Speaker 3: you got some aunts that are going bald? Because you
- 39:32Speaker 3: look like you're going bald.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Well, she warns him, like, hey, just so you know, Asher,
- 39:41Speaker 1: around 10 p.m.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Dubois goes crazy bitch.
- 39:44Speaker 1: He goes full bitchy, and I came in to catch
- 39:46Speaker 1: strays for you. And right on the clock, he comes
- 39:51Speaker 1: in and is like, do you have ants that are
- 39:52Speaker 1: going bald? Because you look like you're going bald. And
- 39:57Speaker 1: all of his shots fired are about baldness.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Yes, because he's jealous, because he's bald. When he tells
- 40:04Speaker 2: a story about, who is it?
- 40:07Speaker 1: Gerald.
- 40:08Speaker 5: Oh, this part? Oh, my God.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Gerald.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Catching me with Gerald.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Yeah, Marcus. No, Marcus.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Marcus.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Gerald. Marcus catching me with Gerald. That shit was hilarious.
- 40:18Speaker 2: You shouldn't stress. That's going to happen to you. Because
- 40:21Speaker 2: you're going bald.
- 40:24Speaker 1: That was funny when he goes. When Heath did that
- 40:27Speaker 1: throw away, walk away, that's why you going bald.
- 40:29Speaker 3: Wishing baldness on others.
- 40:31Speaker 2: The delivery.
- 40:32Speaker 1: That shit was so funny.
- 40:33Speaker 2: I love it. Every time.
- 40:35Speaker 1: First of all, I laugh every time, no matter what
- 40:37Speaker 1: he says.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Every time.
- 40:38Speaker 1: But when Heath did that throw away, turn away, that's
- 40:41Speaker 1: why you going bald. That's why you going bald.
- 40:43Speaker 2: It reminded me, here, take those bananas.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:45Speaker 1: It was like, here, take those bananas.
- 40:48Speaker 2: For those of you who don't know, Beverly Hills Cop.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I was laughing when Rachel goes, golden.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Steak, golden steak. Okay, so.
- 41:06Speaker 1: It's always frozen in the pediatrics ward.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Sorry, go ahead.
- 41:10Speaker 7: That was also something that's crazy. So we should go
- 41:14Speaker 7: back and talk about what's happening.
- 41:15Speaker 2: In the hospital.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Yes, get us on story.
- 41:19Speaker 7: So at some point, Asher misses a couple of things,
- 41:24Speaker 7: and it makes it so that Mr. Whistler, who Mara has...
- 41:30Speaker 7: become very fond of has to be attended to by Deshauna.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Yeah, she hands her off because she has an emergency
- 41:37Speaker 1: related to Asher's patient.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Right. And in that time, Mr. Whistler, unfortunately... Is it Wurtzel?
- 41:44Speaker 1: I think it's Witzel.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Witzel. Witzel. Thank you. Mr. Witzel somehow... Mr.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Witzel, hey.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Somehow he dies.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Yeah. I want to say that that scene where Tosh
- 42:02Speaker 1: helps Asher with the guy who has necrotizing fasciitis on
- 42:05Speaker 1: his leg, I get goosebumps every time.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Because?
- 42:09Speaker 1: Because I think I really love what the writers are
- 42:14Speaker 1: doing with this story of Tosh, even though she's silly
- 42:19Speaker 1: and she's goofy, she's actually a really great doctor. And
- 42:23Speaker 1: I love later when Asher admits, you're great at this.
- 42:28Speaker 1: And I love, we're going to learn that she's coming in,
- 42:31Speaker 1: she's lying. She came in solely to truly look after him.
- 42:35Speaker 1: But when she catches that mistake, that the guy could
- 42:38Speaker 1: lose his leg, and she's like, no, no, there's no time, Asher.
- 42:42Speaker 1: He goes, I'll pay Jamara right away. Like her actually
- 42:46Speaker 1: catching something. I just thought that scene was really well
- 42:49Speaker 1: acted and really well directed. And I thought it was,
- 42:52Speaker 1: I don't know. All I can tell you is I've
- 42:54Speaker 1: seen it a zillion times and I get goosebumps every time.
- 42:56Speaker 7: Well, I love all of it because it transferred, the
- 42:59Speaker 7: energy transfers. You know, Mara gets to Paige. She runs
- 43:04Speaker 7: into Deshauna. Deshauna's like, I got you. And even though
- 43:07Speaker 7: they're beefing, they're still that sisterhood. Don't worry about it.
- 43:09Speaker 2: I got you.
- 43:10Speaker 7: And she runs to handle Asher's patient. And then we
- 43:17Speaker 7: cut back to steak night and somebody's dead.
- 43:19Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 43:20Speaker 7: And as an audience member, like so far as an
- 43:23Speaker 7: audience member, I really do. As you said, you were like,
- 43:27Speaker 7: it's very, you know, you like the energy in that.
- 43:29Speaker 7: I really love the energy in that thing because it
- 43:32Speaker 7: just gets better. Like I was talking about how it
- 43:34Speaker 7: ramps up. So now this is where the ramp really happens.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Like everything's starting to happen. And then.
- 43:39Speaker 7: Boom, it all comes crashing down with someone dying, and
- 43:44Speaker 7: you automatically think that it is.
- 43:46Speaker 1: You don't know that it's Mr. Wurzel.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Witzel.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Witzel.
- 43:50Speaker 2: However, yeah.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Right, I mean, there is a mislead there, right? You
- 43:53Speaker 1: think that it's going to be the guy that just got...
- 43:56Speaker 1: I mean, I assume when I read it that it's
- 43:59Speaker 1: the patient that Asher may have fucked up. But then
- 44:01Speaker 1: it turns out it's the patient that she handed off,
- 44:04Speaker 1: which is the cause of the beef that's happening in
- 44:06Speaker 1: Turk's office.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Right.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Let's get to that scene.
- 44:08Speaker 2: So this is my favorite scene of the episode.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Yeah, this scene is great.
- 44:10Speaker 2: You guys crushed it. This scene is so good.
- 44:12Speaker 1: You guys are so funny together.
- 44:13Speaker 2: Together, you guys.
- 44:15Speaker 7: By yourselves, too, but together, you guys are like freaking
- 44:17Speaker 7: the Wonder Twins.
- 44:18Speaker 1: I get you guys.
- 44:19Speaker 2: I fucking get you guys.
- 44:20Speaker 1: They probably don't know what that is.
- 44:21Speaker 2: It's the freaking... It's old. They're superheroes.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:24Speaker 2: But I get... I get... I get you guys mixed
- 44:28Speaker 2: up a lot. You know what I mean?
- 44:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:29Speaker 2: You can see Amara.
- 44:30Speaker 6: Amara.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Yeah. And doing this, I'm sitting here and I'm having
- 44:33Speaker 2: to think about it. You know what I mean?
- 44:35Speaker 7: Not only do I get you guys mixed up as characters,
- 44:37Speaker 7: I sometimes get you guys mixed up as people too.
- 44:41Speaker 7: And that's just a testament because you guys bounce off
- 44:43Speaker 7: of each other so well.
- 44:44Speaker 2: And this scene... shows it. It's like, it highlights. This
- 44:47Speaker 2: is the highlight.
- 44:48Speaker 7: Like, when I watched this scene, I got to play
- 44:50Speaker 7: with so much because of what you guys were doing.
- 44:53Speaker 7: I remember I studied real hard for the, you know,
- 44:55Speaker 7: I studied hard for this scene because I knew it
- 44:57Speaker 7: was an important scene, right? And so when I came in,
- 45:00Speaker 7: I was like, I'm about to freaking show these young
- 45:04Speaker 7: whippersnappers what it is. And then you guys were already
- 45:06Speaker 7: on point and I was like, oh, shit.
- 45:09Speaker 1: But that just goes to show you when you guys...
- 45:12Speaker 1: This is like the most simple lesson. When all three
- 45:15Speaker 1: actors know their shit as well as you guys do.
- 45:19Speaker 1: And people who listen to the podcast know we've talked
- 45:21Speaker 1: about how fast we have to shoot this show. So
- 45:23Speaker 1: if people don't know their shit that well and you're
- 45:25Speaker 1: kind of struggling to get it, half the time is
- 45:27Speaker 1: wasted just getting it. You three came into that scene
- 45:31Speaker 1: knowing your shit so well, ready to go. And so
- 45:33Speaker 1: you start at a fucking... B plus right and then
- 45:37Speaker 1: it jumps to A plus then you get warmed up
- 45:39Speaker 1: and then it jumps to like an A plus and
- 45:41Speaker 1: that's how you get such a great it's multiple scenes
- 45:44Speaker 1: actually but that's how Those multiple scenes in that room
- 45:46Speaker 1: with y'all are so good. You guys getting heated. I
- 45:51Speaker 1: laugh every time with the Uber driver, Kareem, who understands you.
- 45:55Speaker 7: Or when Deshauna's like, yeah, that's exactly what I did.
- 45:58Speaker 2: I said, yeah, do you.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Do you. Your delivery on that is so funny. Yeah,
- 46:03Speaker 1: I said, do you.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Right. This is my favorite scene.
- 46:09Speaker 7: And now at this point, it's like, how can I
- 46:11Speaker 7: want to recapture what we.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Did every time we do it.
- 46:15Speaker 7: So you and I had a scene recently and I
- 46:17Speaker 7: was like, how do I get there? I studied, I studied,
- 46:19Speaker 7: I studied and we worked it out and we got there.
- 46:24Speaker 7: You guys will get there when the episodes get there,
- 46:27Speaker 7: but every scene is like that. Uh, now for me
- 46:31Speaker 7: at least, you know, and sometimes I know my lines
- 46:33Speaker 7: really good and sometimes I don't, that's just, You know,
- 46:36Speaker 7: my brain.
- 46:37Speaker 6: No, but me and Amanda were talking about it the
- 46:38Speaker 6: other day about how much of a generous performer you are.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Right on.
- 46:41Speaker 3: On both sides of the camera.
- 46:43Speaker 6: When you're off camera, you're giving so much to where
- 46:46Speaker 6: we get the best takes because of what you're giving
- 46:48Speaker 6: us off camera.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Right on.
- 46:49Speaker 5: And we feel so lucky to... Act opposite you all
- 46:52Speaker 5: the time.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Thank you for saying that.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Well, continue that in the rest of your career.
- 46:56Speaker 5: For sure.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Because you will find there's people that phone that shit
- 46:58Speaker 1: in when they're off camera. And Donald and I don't
- 47:00Speaker 1: play like that.
- 47:01Speaker 2: No, you guys don't.
- 47:02Speaker 5: It makes such a difference, though. It really does.
- 47:03Speaker 1: Of course it does. And in fact, you'll find there's
- 47:05Speaker 1: times when you're off camera, you can be more helpful
- 47:10Speaker 1: by improv-ing shit that isn't even in the script to
- 47:13Speaker 1: help the person get there. If the director's just told them,
- 47:17Speaker 1: I need you to be more upset, I need you
- 47:18Speaker 1: to be more... Obviously, you work it out with the
- 47:21Speaker 1: actors so they're not surprised by it, but you can
- 47:23Speaker 1: help them sometimes by coming in hotter than you even
- 47:26Speaker 1: did on your coverage because it will help them address
- 47:29Speaker 1: the director's note.
- 47:30Speaker 7: Well, here's a perfect example of that. At one point
- 47:32Speaker 7: in the scene, I say to you guys, we're doing
- 47:35Speaker 7: a scene and I go, have you seen what Carla
- 47:36Speaker 7: looks like? in humidity and you guys both nod. And
- 47:41Speaker 7: I go, no, there's no way you could have seen that.
- 47:43Speaker 2: There's no way.
- 47:44Speaker 7: That's all off camera because I said it off camera
- 47:46Speaker 7: to you guys. And then the head shake this way becomes.
- 47:49Speaker 1: That was funny.
- 47:50Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 47:51Speaker 7: But this is all us improv-ing and you know what
- 47:54Speaker 7: I mean? And playing around.
- 47:55Speaker 2: So.
- 47:56Speaker 1: That was great.
- 47:56Speaker 2: My favorite scene of this episode. Really good scene. And
- 47:59Speaker 2: this episode has several really great scenes. All right.
- 48:03Speaker 1: So Turk made a pact with JD a la The
- 48:06Speaker 1: Notebook episode.
- 48:07Speaker 7: Didn't know it's from the notebook no that was funny
- 48:13Speaker 7: or maybe he did and just got caught is.
- 48:17Speaker 1: It I have a confession to make What's up?
- 48:20Speaker 2: You've never seen the notebook?
- 48:20Speaker 1: I've never seen the notebook.
- 48:22Speaker 3: No way.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Oh, Zach, what?
- 48:24Speaker 3: I feel like you would love the notebook.
- 48:26Speaker 1: You would love the notebook. It's Zach Coded because I'm
- 48:29Speaker 1: a sensi.
- 48:30Speaker 5: You're sensi.
- 48:30Speaker 1: I love romance.
- 48:31Speaker 5: You love romance.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I'm a sensi.
- 48:33Speaker 6: Yes.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I love those actors. You would lock into that story. Look,
- 48:35Speaker 1: I'm clutching my pearls as we talk about it.
- 48:37Speaker 3: You're going to love it.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Zach.
- 48:39Speaker 2: If you love La La Land.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I do love La La Land.
- 48:41Speaker 2: You're going to love the notebook.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Is it like La La Land without music?
- 48:45Speaker 2: Okay.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Heartbreaking. I know the premise.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Don't ruin what I already know.
- 48:51Speaker 7: Here's the thing. La La Land is one of my
- 48:54Speaker 7: favorite movies of all time. So I cannot sit here
- 48:57Speaker 7: and say that it is comparable. But I can say,
- 49:03Speaker 7: When I first saw this movie, I was like, oh,
- 49:05Speaker 7: my boy is out of here.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Oh, she is out of here. Like everybody in this
- 49:09Speaker 2: thing crushes.
- 49:11Speaker 1: All right.
- 49:11Speaker 3: So good.
- 49:12Speaker 1: It's so funny. It's one of those movies. We all
- 49:15Speaker 1: have movies in our lives where when they come up,
- 49:17Speaker 1: you're like almost embarrassed to say it. I've never seen it.
- 49:21Speaker 7: Yo dude I was hanging out with homie when he
- 49:23Speaker 7: was right when he was making that shit I know
- 49:27Speaker 7: controversy on that stuff.
- 49:29Speaker 1: All right, well, we don't need to get into people's business.
- 49:31Speaker 7: We're not going to, but right watching that, we're not
- 49:33Speaker 7: going to do that, but right watching that shit, it
- 49:35Speaker 7: was like, wow, this is amazing.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Like, all of them.
- 49:40Speaker 7: Nick Cassavetti, I used to play ball with him. I
- 49:42Speaker 7: couldn't believe he was that great of a director.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I didn't know that. You know what I mean? Like,
- 49:45Speaker 2: there's so many things.
- 49:46Speaker 1: All right, I'll watch it.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Yeah, man. I'm so excited for you.
- 49:49Speaker 1: I'll watch it.
- 49:49Speaker 2: You're going to love it.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Maybe we'll watch it together.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 49:54Speaker 1: I really love the scene, another great scene in this
- 49:57Speaker 1: episode with Tosh and Asher in the haunted room. I
- 50:01Speaker 1: thought that's such a sweet scene. I laugh out loud
- 50:03Speaker 1: with the harmonizing for beginners.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 50:06Speaker 1: And then that was Ava's idea, because we don't know
- 50:09Speaker 1: that fucking lingo. Did we just low-key eat that down?
- 50:12Speaker 7: I don't know what that, I mean, I guess eat
- 50:14Speaker 7: it all the way to the.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Like you ate that up, like you smashed that, you
- 50:18Speaker 3: crushed that.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Basically in our age, we'd be like, did we just
- 50:21Speaker 1: crush that?
- 50:22Speaker 2: Got it. Joelle, did you know the.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Term low-key eat it down?
- 50:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 50:27Speaker 7: Joelle's very hip, guys.
- 50:30Speaker 2: She said I'm in black queer space. Oh, it's a
- 50:35Speaker 2: black queer space thing.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Got it. Oh, Joelle, clock in.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Wow, okay.
- 50:42Speaker 1: She's like, that's a lot.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Too much.
- 50:46Speaker 1: Well, I thought that was sweet and funny. And for
- 50:49Speaker 1: mega Scrubs fans, again, shouting out Roger Fires and the
- 50:53Speaker 1: art department, they made that room the old style from
- 50:57Speaker 1: the old hospital. If you look at the way the gear,
- 51:01Speaker 1: the medical gear is on the wall, we used to
- 51:04Speaker 1: have those plastic panels that were behind the beds in
- 51:06Speaker 1: the old school hospital before we modernized to 2026 hospital.
- 51:11Speaker 1: So Roger totally recreated the the early two thousands look
- 51:16Speaker 1: of a hospital room and, and just did an awesome
- 51:19Speaker 1: job with that haunted room.
- 51:21Speaker 7: I really liked, we, we, we, I know, I know
- 51:23Speaker 7: we pushed them both together. The, the two scenes that
- 51:26Speaker 7: we did in the office, but in between that, we
- 51:29Speaker 7: skip over a couple of things.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 51:33Speaker 2: Go ahead, girl.
- 51:34Speaker 7: There's a line in this, in this whole show that
- 51:36Speaker 7: talks about the bonds that you can form when in
- 51:39Speaker 7: a workspace, you know what I mean? And, uh, Sometimes
- 51:44Speaker 7: they don't last that long, but they can last if
- 51:49Speaker 7: certain things are in place. And the one thing that
- 51:51Speaker 7: was in place for Deshauna and Amara was the fruit cups.
- 51:56Speaker 2: You know what I mean? And that is their bond.
- 51:59Speaker 7: They're so broke, just like it was Turk and JD's.
- 52:02Speaker 7: They're so broke and have figured out a loophole that
- 52:06Speaker 7: they could steal food from the cafeteria and they do it.
- 52:12Speaker 7: And even when they're out at night or and even
- 52:17Speaker 7: when Turk walks by, he realizes, oh, this is something
- 52:20Speaker 7: more than that. These guys are roommates and they're kind of,
- 52:25Speaker 7: you know, partners in this because, you know, in his eyes,
- 52:30Speaker 7: I got to watch both of them. And if they're
- 52:33Speaker 7: fighting and stuff like that, this is going to be one,
- 52:35Speaker 7: a pain in the ass, but two, I see myself
- 52:38Speaker 7: and JD in these two.
- 52:39Speaker 1: He sees the pep talk that he's due to give. Right.
- 52:42Speaker 1: He's like, wait, I can't just walk out on these women.
- 52:44Speaker 1: I got to tell them something they need to know.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 52:48Speaker 7: And he steps back into it. And I just love
- 52:50Speaker 7: that scene also. This is another great scene. And we
- 52:53Speaker 7: said it already with the whole notebook shit, but it's
- 52:56Speaker 7: another great scene. But anyway, the bonds that we form
- 53:00Speaker 7: can last forever. And you say it in the thing,
- 53:03Speaker 7: but it takes a lot of luck. There's a lot
- 53:05Speaker 7: of luck that needs to be in it. and we
- 53:08Speaker 7: see a lucky moment when he walks by the.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Fruit cups early on before you say that.
- 53:14Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 53:15Speaker 7: It's fucking phenomenal. It's really good storytelling and piecing things together.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Yes, I agree. And then we build to J.D. and
- 53:23Speaker 1: Elliot walking down the hall. I laughed at scurrying down
- 53:28Speaker 1: the pet stairs like this when I was sleeping at
- 53:31Speaker 1: the edge of your bed.
- 53:34Speaker 4: And....
- 53:36Speaker 1: J.D., I think, thought that those were for him, the
- 53:39Speaker 1: pet stairs at you and Carla's bed.
- 53:41Speaker 2: He didn't realize.
- 53:42Speaker 1: I don't think he knows they're for the dog.
- 53:45Speaker 2: Oh, I don't think I realized that they were for
- 53:47Speaker 2: the dog either.
- 53:48Speaker 1: I didn't know we had a dog. Well, listen, he says,
- 53:51Speaker 1: I slept at the foot of Turk and Carla's bed.
- 53:54Speaker 1: And it was so nice. They had this little furry
- 53:57Speaker 1: staircase that I could just crawl down and when I
- 53:59Speaker 1: went to pee and then crawl back up when I
- 54:01Speaker 1: was done.
- 54:01Speaker 2: But I thought she put that there for you.
- 54:04Speaker 3: No.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Have you ever seen these pet staircases? Oh, you haven't
- 54:06Speaker 1: seen this. Have you guys seen this? Oh, so for
- 54:08Speaker 1: people that have pets that can't jump onto a bed,
- 54:10Speaker 1: they have these little furry like staircases they put next
- 54:12Speaker 1: to their bed. And that's what it, JD took that down.
- 54:15Speaker 1: He thought it was for him. I can't believe you've
- 54:20Speaker 1: never seen that. I'll show you a picture of one.
- 54:22Speaker 2: I thought of it as something completely different.
- 54:25Speaker 1: What did you think it was?
- 54:25Speaker 2: I don't want to talk about it on the podcast
- 54:27Speaker 2: because you're going to make Joelle cut it.
- 54:29Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Okay. I'm dying to know off mic what
- 54:35Speaker 1: it was.
- 54:35Speaker 2: All right.
- 54:36Speaker 1: So they hook up. This was really funny. This was
- 54:38Speaker 1: always our plan was to back into them making out
- 54:41Speaker 1: and they've gotten drunk off the bottle of wine and
- 54:43Speaker 1: they're macking in the hallway. Charlie and Sean.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Charlie and Sean.
- 54:46Speaker 1: And- Just camera-wise, we had to figure out how to
- 54:51Speaker 1: have the depth of field right to be able to
- 54:54Speaker 1: have them so far away and still in focus. So
- 54:57Speaker 1: we cranked the lighting in there and we cranked the
- 55:01Speaker 1: ISO on the camera, for those of you who are
- 55:02Speaker 1: into cameras, so we could have that much up the
- 55:04Speaker 1: field because the joke doesn't really work if you're not
- 55:06Speaker 1: simultaneously seeing both J.D. and Elliot in the foreground and
- 55:10Speaker 1: them in the background.
- 55:11Speaker 2: So how does that work?
- 55:12Speaker 7: Because this is a very interesting thing as somebody who
- 55:15Speaker 7: likes to do... stop motion and filming and depth of
- 55:22Speaker 7: field stuff. Turning up the light, more light, and turning
- 55:28Speaker 7: down the aperture creates more depth.
- 55:30Speaker 1: The more closed down the aperture is, And the numbers
- 55:33Speaker 1: go the opposite way. So when you say close down,
- 55:35Speaker 1: you're going towards 11, 16, 22. Those are the higher numbers.
- 55:39Speaker 1: The more depth of fields you're going to have. So
- 55:41Speaker 1: on a bright, sunny day outside, if you want it,
- 55:43Speaker 1: you can have insane depth of field. Sometimes people don't
- 55:46Speaker 1: want it and they put these things in front of
- 55:48Speaker 1: the camera that are called NDs, which are kind of
- 55:50Speaker 1: like sunglasses basically for the camera. So it'll allow you
- 55:53Speaker 1: to open up wider so you can have shallow depth
- 55:55Speaker 1: of field if you want it. In a case like
- 55:58Speaker 1: this where the joke is, isn't going to be funny
- 56:01Speaker 1: if they're out of focus deep in the foreground. You're
- 56:05Speaker 1: going to do two things. You're going to flood the
- 56:07Speaker 1: hallway with a lot of light, and then you can
- 56:10Speaker 1: turn the sensitivity, the ISO of the camera up as well,
- 56:14Speaker 1: and that'll allow you to get to a stop on
- 56:17Speaker 1: the camera where you have a really long depth of field.
- 56:20Speaker 7: Last question without trying to bore the audience, but how
- 56:24Speaker 7: does it stay in focus then if that's the case?
- 56:27Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 56:28Speaker 7: How does the foreground and the background... Because that's a
- 56:31Speaker 7: matter of depth of field. Let's say I'm in an F-22,
- 56:34Speaker 7: which is like the highest, the most closed down of
- 56:37Speaker 7: the iris. You can have from two feet to infinity
- 56:42Speaker 7: in focus.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Okay, I didn't know that. I'm not... Well, I'm giving
- 56:47Speaker 2: you knowledge.
- 56:48Speaker 1: If you ever need to accomplish this in your stop motion,
- 56:50Speaker 1: just come to me.
- 56:51Speaker 2: I do.
- 56:52Speaker 1: But for those of you into production, this is the
- 56:53Speaker 1: kind of things you got to figure out. This is...
- 56:56Speaker 1: This is the kind of thing you read the script
- 56:57Speaker 1: and go, that's not going to be funny unless they're
- 57:00Speaker 1: both in focus. How are we going to do that?
- 57:02Speaker 1: And so it's something in pre-production you need to figure
- 57:04Speaker 1: out with the DP and plan for it. I love
- 57:08Speaker 1: the Tears for Fears song.
- 57:12Speaker 7: Everybody wants to rule the world.
- 57:16Speaker 1: And I really am so moved every time I see
- 57:18Speaker 1: it of the moment that Tosh confesses that she's been
- 57:21Speaker 1: lying and she does that little check to make sure
- 57:23Speaker 1: that Asher's not there and confesses to Dubois that... He'll
- 57:27Speaker 1: get there.
- 57:28Speaker 7: Well, I also like Michael James Scott's reading of saying
- 57:33Speaker 7: to her, look, I know you made some mistakes in
- 57:35Speaker 7: the past, but you're turning out to be one of
- 57:38Speaker 7: the best doctors in this hospital.
- 57:40Speaker 2: And I can't say the same for him. Yeah.
- 57:43Speaker 1: And she's like, he'll get there.
- 57:45Speaker 2: And you kind of know.
- 57:48Speaker 4: Nah.
- 57:50Speaker 1: We don't know. Dun, dun, dun.
- 57:51Speaker 2: Dun, dun, dun. It's kind of like. That's the first
- 57:55Speaker 2: tale of it.
- 57:56Speaker 1: I really love us all. The show always comes back
- 57:59Speaker 1: to these three people we met 25 years ago who
- 58:04Speaker 1: love each other, sitting in a booth at a bar.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Two of them have just had something pretty devastating happen.
- 58:10Speaker 1: But your friends can always make you laugh, right? Your
- 58:13Speaker 1: friends can always sit around with you in a booth
- 58:15Speaker 1: and say the right things and make you laugh. And
- 58:18Speaker 1: I love that this show circles back in this episode
- 58:22Speaker 1: to three people, who all got their own shit, but
- 58:26Speaker 1: they're sitting there cracking each other up.
- 58:28Speaker 2: I love that too.
- 58:29Speaker 7: I also love that it's not so serious when it
- 58:31Speaker 7: comes to early on in relationships, especially.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Well, they weren't neither one of those things. Those things
- 58:39Speaker 1: had both just started. It wasn't like they were like affairs.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Exactly, but they're taking it so hard at the end
- 58:44Speaker 2: of the show.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Well, JD had got a trip to the Bahamas. Non-refundable.
- 58:49Speaker 7: I'm going to put it out there. This goes all
- 58:51Speaker 7: the way back to episode one when... Turk warned JD,
- 58:56Speaker 7: you do this shit too much and it's going to
- 58:58Speaker 7: come and bite you in the ass.
- 59:00Speaker 1: That was an episode. Oh, that was first of this season.
- 59:02Speaker 2: First of the season. And here it is, episode five.
- 59:05Speaker 1: And then we get to end with two cute things.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Both Sean saying nobody cares. JD. And then you talk... Hey, guys,
- 59:12Speaker 1: tell me how the fruit cups came about.
- 59:14Speaker 3: That was Michael Spiller.
- 59:16Speaker 2: Shout out.
- 59:17Speaker 1: He was our producing director of the show. And he
- 59:19Speaker 1: was on set. And he... Go ahead. He had this idea?
- 59:21Speaker 5: Yeah, he had this idea.
- 59:22Speaker 6: We were sitting doing the scene. I think it was
- 59:24Speaker 6: a different... ending I think it was it was just
- 59:28Speaker 6: supposed to end with I love you yeah I think
- 59:30Speaker 6: she says I love you for the first time and
- 59:31Speaker 6: that was it yeah and then he somehow was like
- 59:34Speaker 6: it would be so cute if you pulled out the
- 59:36Speaker 6: fruit cups and the props department is incredible within like
- 59:39Speaker 6: five minutes yeah they brought the fruit cups somehow that
- 59:43Speaker 6: was so cute you.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Know what's funny is that she says we're gonna order
- 59:45Speaker 1: the most expensive bottle of wine on the menu and
- 59:48Speaker 1: I'm thinking of like This level of steakhouse, there's probably
- 59:52Speaker 1: like a $ 25, 000 bottle of wine on the menu.
- 59:55Speaker 2: I don't think they're going to do that.
- 59:56Speaker 7: I think this is what I think. She's just like,
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: I'm going to order some expensive wine, but I don't
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: know about.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: The most expensive.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: She literally says to the waiter.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: I totally understand that, but she knows.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: You're saying the waiter's not going to bring them a
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: 25K bottle.
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: No, I'm saying she knows better.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: So you're saying after the camera cuts, the waiter or
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: waitress is probably like, I don't think you want the
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: most expensive. Do you want to look at the wine list?
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: No, I'm saying Deshauna's like, all right. No, we can't
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: do that. I'm going to get yelled at.
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: That'll be my ass. Listen, we're going to order this.
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: And at the end of the day, with the food cups,
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: it's beautiful.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: All right. Well, that's 205. Thank you, ladies, so much
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: for joining us. I hope you had fun.
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: So much fun.

- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Tell people who are listening your Instagram so they can
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: follow you and join the fun. Layla.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: Yes, Layla Moha.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Spell that.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: L-A-Y-L-A-M-O-H-A.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: And Amanda?
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: Amanda J. Morrow. Morrow spelled M-O-R-R-O-W.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: Yeah, follow them.
