- 0:01Speaker 1: All right, John Jay Rich. It's September 21.
- 0:04Speaker 2: This is the only time you'll see it all over Instagram.
- 0:06Speaker 2: They're like, this is the only time you can repost
- 0:08Speaker 2: this song.
- 0:14Speaker 3: And happy anniversary again, John Jay.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 0:22Speaker 2: So my wife and I, over the weekend, we were like, okay,
- 0:25Speaker 2: so we're not going to get each other anything, right?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Like, okay, great. We're not going to. Fine.
- 0:28Speaker 2: We're not going to. And then I woke up this
- 0:31Speaker 2: morning and there was a card, right? So she even
- 0:34Speaker 2: got me. So I guess maybe a card doesn't fall
- 0:36Speaker 2: under the umbrella.
- 0:37Speaker 4: That's not something that's a sentimental acknowledgement.
- 0:39Speaker 2: She does cards a lot. My family never really did cards.
- 0:41Speaker 2: So she, she, she made a card. So here I
- 0:45Speaker 2: am three o'clock in the morning in the kitchen, reading
- 0:46Speaker 2: her card. And I'm like, I had to find a card.
- 0:50Speaker 2: So I go through her desk and I'm scouring through
- 0:52Speaker 2: everything and I'm looking through cards and I find like,
- 0:55Speaker 2: congratulations on the adoption of your pet card. And I find,
- 0:58Speaker 2: you know, birthday cards and I find whatever. And then
- 1:01Speaker 2: I see this card of our, one of our dogs
- 1:04Speaker 2: we had many, many years ago.
- 1:06Speaker 1: So I was able to write something on that.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Oh, that's good.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Yeah. But still, I mean, she knows it's her card.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Do you think she's, she's like got such a stranglehold
- 1:14Speaker 4: on all of her card inventory that she'll know that
- 1:16Speaker 4: that one was waiting there?
- 1:18Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, because she had this card made.
- 1:20Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:21Speaker 4: That's all right. That's still good.
- 1:23Speaker 2: But I was telling you guys earlier this morning, our
- 1:26Speaker 2: anniversary is September 21, and it's always easy to remember
- 1:28Speaker 2: because of this song, this very fun song. But Genevieve,
- 1:40Speaker 2: we were talking about, like, interesting ways to remember your
- 1:42Speaker 2: anniversary or birthdays or whatever.
- 1:43Speaker 1: What do you got, Genevieve?
- 1:45Speaker 5: So my husband and I were married on January 23rd
- 1:48Speaker 5: of 2023.
- 1:49Speaker 3: So it's just one.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Two, three, two, three.
- 1:52Speaker 4: That's like the beginning of a Sierra or a CS song. One, two, three, one, two, three.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Well, it's good to remember that. That's easy to remember.
- 1:59Speaker 2: It's almost sounds like a, like a code to get
- 2:01Speaker 2: into your phone. You know, when you lock your code.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I'm not going to say that's our code.
- 2:08Speaker 1: One, two, three, two, three. Very good. Thanks Genevieve.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Thanks for calling in. All right, Peyton, let's talk about
- 2:14Speaker 2: the iHeart Festival. You were there this weekend. It was Friday, Saturday.
- 2:18Speaker 1: It was everywhere. I watched it on Hulu.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Peyton was everywhere.
- 2:22Speaker 5: It was live streaming on Hulu and Disney +. And yeah,
- 2:25Speaker 5: I was in Vegas. It was at the T-Mobile Arena.
- 2:27Speaker 5: And it was so much fun. I went with my
- 2:30Speaker 5: little brother, Jalen. We went last year. So this year,
- 2:33Speaker 5: we kind of had an idea of how we wanted
- 2:35Speaker 5: to game plan to make the most out of our weekend.
- 2:39Speaker 5: And we did just that. We got in early on Friday.
- 2:42Speaker 5: The show was right around like 7.30 on Friday. So
- 2:46Speaker 5: we get there. We walk right in. Cardi B's about
- 2:49Speaker 5: to start performing Barty or Cardi. And it was just
- 2:53Speaker 5: a vibe.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Wait, so you got there when Cardi B went on?
- 2:55Speaker 1: You didn't get there before? We were there watching.
- 2:57Speaker 5: You know, I saw Kenny Chesney. I saw Goo Goo
- 2:59Speaker 5: Dolls do Iris and stuff. But in that moment, they
- 3:01Speaker 5: have a big screen that's outside so you can watch
- 3:03Speaker 5: a show, but also still kind of go around in
- 3:06Speaker 5: the House of Music, which is their area where it's
- 3:08Speaker 5: a lot of photo ops and fun things like that.
- 3:10Speaker 5: So I caught the whole show, but we walked in
- 3:12Speaker 5: during Cardi and our section was lit. I mean, it
- 3:17Speaker 5: was so much fun. Everyone was up dancing. Everyone was
- 3:20Speaker 5: up vibing. And it was just so much fun. And
- 3:23Speaker 5: then Zara Larson came on. She came out with Midnight Sun.
- 3:31Speaker 4: She sounds awesome.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Yeah, she was so dope. And she came out. She
- 3:42Speaker 5: hit her midnight sunriff. She did her lift. It was
- 3:46Speaker 5: so fun. She also got to bring a fan on
- 3:48Speaker 5: stage to do the Lush Life dance, which was so
- 3:50Speaker 5: fun because everyone else in the crowd was also doing
- 3:52Speaker 5: it because it was such a like TikTok viral dance.
- 3:55Speaker 5: So everyone was super locked in there.
- 3:56Speaker 3: That fan was so cute.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Yes, yes.
- 3:59Speaker 5: They were so cute. And it was so fun because
- 4:00Speaker 5: he was like all over like TikTok just explaining his
- 4:03Speaker 5: experience and everything. Yeah, he was super awesome. And actually,
- 4:07Speaker 5: it was so cool because me and my brother found
- 4:09Speaker 5: out that we stayed in the same hotel as our Larson.
- 4:11Speaker 1: That's awesome. I was like, yes.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Fallen.
- 4:15Speaker 5: I know, right? It was super cool. And then, of course,
- 4:17Speaker 5: BTS Army was there. BTS closed out. They started. They
- 4:21Speaker 5: opened with Swim. I kid you not. As soon as
- 4:41Speaker 5: BTS got on, anytime somebody said BTS, the arena shook.
- 4:45Speaker 5: You could feel yourself vibrating. It was so cool because
- 4:49Speaker 5: Everyone had all these glow sticks, all these lights. Everyone
- 4:51Speaker 5: was singing word for word for word. And I'm not like,
- 4:56Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not familiar that much with K-pop. I'm
- 4:58Speaker 5: very familiar with BTS. But going to that show, I'm like,
- 5:02Speaker 5: I want to be in it with them.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Yeah, now you want to see their full thing.
- 5:06Speaker 5: It is such a fandom.
- 5:07Speaker 4: They're so great to watch.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Is there a documentary on BTS? Because I want to
- 5:10Speaker 5: know everything about them. I want to know why everyone
- 5:12Speaker 5: is so obsessed.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Go to Google.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Well, I tried to Google, but it didn't give me
- 5:17Speaker 5: what I wanted. I was like, who is the most
- 5:19Speaker 5: famous BTS member? And it's like everyone. So I want
- 5:21Speaker 5: to know a little bit more about them. But Saturday
- 5:24Speaker 5: was also so fun because Ciara came out and she performed.
- 5:29Speaker 6: My, my, what?
- 5:34Speaker 1: Her performance made the news. She's pregnant, for real. The backbend.
- 5:43Speaker 6: The backbend.
- 5:44Speaker 4: I was like, what?
- 5:46Speaker 5: Yeah. She was awesome. She performed Level Up, My Goodies,
- 5:49Speaker 5: One Two Step. And she was just such a vibe.
- 5:52Speaker 5: I just, me and my brother were there and it
- 5:54Speaker 5: just took us back to being like 10 singing in
- 5:56Speaker 5: the car with our mom, you know. So it was
- 5:58Speaker 5: a vibe. And then, of course, everyone was hype for
- 6:01Speaker 5: Snoop Dogg.
- 6:02Speaker 1: And I don't even care. Long as me and my
- 6:04Speaker 1: team in here, it's going to be Sabrina in the air.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Tell them Snoop. Growing everywhere we're going and that ain't
- 6:09Speaker 1: no way.
- 6:09Speaker 4: When I step right up, get my lighter so I
- 6:11Speaker 4: can light up.
- 6:12Speaker 1: That's how it should be done.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Soon as you think and you're down, find out how
- 6:15Speaker 2: to turn things around and things are looking up.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And from the ground up, it's.
- 6:18Speaker 6: Pounded up like Taylor Gaye.
- 6:19Speaker 4: So turn my sound up.
- 6:20Speaker 1: And mount up and do my thing. You know what
- 6:23Speaker 1: I was watching on Hulu?
- 6:24Speaker 5: Surprise West with Khalifa.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I was watching it on Hulu and I really enjoyed
- 6:28Speaker 2: watching it because there was glitches and stuff. Like they
- 6:31Speaker 2: went to one point, they cut to Mario Lopez and
- 6:34Speaker 2: he wasn't ready. And then he goes, he goes, he
- 6:37Speaker 2: goes like this. He goes like, welcome back to Hulu
- 6:39Speaker 2: and Disney plus.
- 6:40Speaker 6: I heard.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Oh, not yet. Not yet. Okay. And he stops.
- 6:43Speaker 2: And then, and then they cut, they cut to the
- 6:45Speaker 2: stage and there's nothing going on stage and they cut
- 6:47Speaker 2: back to him and he's standing there and.
- 6:48Speaker 1: He's like, now, now, he's like, welcome back to Hulu.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, that's awesome. I like that stuff.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Yeah, behind the scenes.
- 6:55Speaker 5: No, I was just saying it was super dope because
- 6:57Speaker 5: Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg closed out the show. Wiz
- 6:59Speaker 5: was a special guest, and it was awesome.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Okay, so a couple questions. One, how do you know
- 7:03Speaker 1: you're in the same hotel as Zara Larson?
- 7:05Speaker 5: Because she posted on her Instagram, and it's the same background,
- 7:09Speaker 5: like these shell things that are in our room.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Okay.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Now tell us about, you said you, because of your
- 7:14Speaker 2: brother and his job, you got all these upgrades.
- 7:16Speaker 1: What does that mean? And how do we get to
- 7:18Speaker 1: work there?
- 7:19Speaker 5: No, I know. So my brother, I think he works
- 7:21Speaker 5: for Morgan Stanley. He works for like one of those.
- 7:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:23Speaker 5: It's like one of those like finance things.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I don't know. One of them.
- 7:26Speaker 1: It's like him saying, I think my sister works at
- 7:28Speaker 1: a radio station.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:29Speaker 4: I also thought that hurt your feelings.
- 7:30Speaker 1: He doesn't know what radio station you work at.
- 7:32Speaker 5: The other one, so I don't know which one he's at.
- 7:34Speaker 4: I thought your brother was a server at a steak restaurant. No,
- 7:37Speaker 4: not anymore.
- 7:38Speaker 5: He really wants to get back into the service industry, though.
- 7:40Speaker 4: So if anyone's hiring him.
- 7:43Speaker 2: He wants to leave Morgan Stanley where he's making a
- 7:45Speaker 2: bunch of money and he has all these perks to
- 7:46Speaker 2: go be a waiter?
- 7:47Speaker 5: No, he wants to do it and that.
- 7:48Speaker 1: He wants to do both?
- 7:49Speaker 5: Yeah, it's called Hustle.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Yeah, but if you focus probably more on the Morgan
- 7:53Speaker 2: Stanley thing, you'd probably have a massive living.
- 7:55Speaker 5: Well, that's his nine to five. So what does he
- 7:57Speaker 5: do after five? Life don't stop then.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Make some more money. He wants to go make some
- 8:00Speaker 4: more money.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Is it Morgan Stanley stuff like stocks and stuff?
- 8:02Speaker 5: Yes, he's a stockbroker and a financial advisor, my brother.
- 8:06Speaker 5: And so his job like gives him all these fancy perks.
- 8:09Speaker 5: We literally get to the airport. We get to go
- 8:11Speaker 5: to the fancy like American Express lounge.
- 8:14Speaker 6: What?
- 8:15Speaker 4: I never get in there.
- 8:16Speaker 5: A-list priority boarding.
- 8:18Speaker 1: What does that mean? What do you give with that?
- 8:20Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 8:21Speaker 5: I mean, we were the second people on the airplane.
- 8:24Speaker 2: So is that on the ticket or do you have
- 8:26Speaker 2: to show something?
- 8:27Speaker 5: No, it's like on our boarding pass. It says A-list preferred.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Wow.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 5: And then we got to check right in. We got
- 8:33Speaker 5: a free bag.
- 8:34Speaker 4: What's the lounge like?
- 8:35Speaker 5: We got an early check-in and a late check-in at
- 8:37Speaker 5: the hotel.
- 8:37Speaker 1: What do you mean a free bag?
- 8:38Speaker 5: Like to check at Southwest because now you have to pay.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Oh, I thought you meant they gave you a bag,
- 8:42Speaker 1: a goodie bag.
- 8:43Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Oh, I wish.
- 8:44Speaker 6: I wish.
- 8:45Speaker 5: But no, it was so fun and so cool and
- 8:48Speaker 5: the best time ever. Good sibling bonding.
- 8:51Speaker 3: It looked so fun.
- 8:52Speaker 2: We're going to play Minute to Win It, and we
- 8:53Speaker 2: need a contestant at 877-937-1047.
- 8:58Speaker 1: What other perks did you get? Did you do something
- 8:59Speaker 1: to your room, the hotel you were in or something?
- 9:01Speaker 5: Literally, so the hotel that we stayed in, it was
- 9:04Speaker 5: called The Waldorf. And I've never heard of it before,
- 9:06Speaker 5: but he was like, trust me, like, this is the business.
- 9:09Speaker 5: We got a room rate per night for $ 250. It's
- 9:14Speaker 5: originally $ 1, 000 a night. That's awesome.
- 9:18Speaker 4: That is a perk.
- 9:19Speaker 5: So we really went and we were like, I mean, like,
- 9:22Speaker 5: this is like the luckiest day ever. So then, of course,
- 9:24Speaker 5: we went to the casino and I crushed it on roulette,
- 9:26Speaker 5: tripled my money and dipped.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Right on.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Yeah, so it was such a fun weekend, truly.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 9:33Speaker 2: How do you roulette? Would you just pick the same
- 9:36Speaker 2: number over and over again? Like, what was your skill
- 9:37Speaker 2: to roulette?
- 9:38Speaker 5: My strategy? Well, first I have to analyze the table,
- 9:41Speaker 5: and I ask everyone what their favorite number is, and
- 9:44Speaker 5: I always bet on their numbers. Also, I always play
- 9:46Speaker 5: the corners, and I always put one in between the
- 9:49Speaker 5: zero and the double zero. That's the one I hit
- 9:51Speaker 5: big on. Ooh. Because that one's, like, a lower chance. But, yeah,
- 9:55Speaker 5: I was crushing it. I literally didn't miss one time.
- 9:58Speaker 5: And I get why. I get why, like, games. can
- 10:00Speaker 5: be addictive.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Especially if you're winning yeah exactly that's the problem is
- 10:04Speaker 4: when it's addicting and you're losing a.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Lot exactly we had a hard out so that was
- 10:07Speaker 5: really nice.
- 10:08Speaker 2: At the festival did you stay until it closed up
- 10:11Speaker 2: every night like what time did you get to bed Uh.
- 10:14Speaker 5: We actually didn't end up going out at all. Um,
- 10:17Speaker 5: I was exhausted. So we got back to the room
- 10:19Speaker 5: probably like 1231 and on Saturday night I was so tired.
- 10:24Speaker 5: Like Snoop Dogg took it out of me. I fell
- 10:26Speaker 5: asleep with my whole outfit on. My shoes were on
- 10:29Speaker 5: the floor with my back just laying.
- 10:30Speaker 2: On the floor.
- 10:31Speaker 4: That's all right.
- 10:32Speaker 5: And I was just snoring.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Those after parties are a lot of pressure, I feel like. Yeah, exactly.
- 10:36Speaker 5: Like, I heard Cardi B, she was at this bar
- 10:39Speaker 5: called On The Record in Park MGM. And she didn't
- 10:42Speaker 5: get there till 2.30 in the morning.
- 10:44Speaker 3: She got up on the bar.
- 10:45Speaker 5: On the bar, she's, like, twerking. Did you see, like, her, like,
- 10:48Speaker 5: so there was this girl. And it kind of went
- 10:50Speaker 5: low-key viral because she started, like, tapping her butt, like,
- 10:53Speaker 5: smacking her butt while Cardi was twerking. And Cardi, like,
- 10:55Speaker 5: turned around and, like, nicely and gently was, like, moved
- 10:58Speaker 5: her hand and was, like, don't ever touch me again.
- 11:01Speaker 4: All right.
- 11:04Speaker 2: All right, we got a contestant for a minute to
- 11:06Speaker 2: win it. We got $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money. Pat
- 11:09Speaker 2: Hickey's the owner and the general manager of Peoria Ford.
- 11:11Speaker 2: He said, yay, do this little trivia, and I'll give
- 11:13Speaker 2: you $ 1, 000. So far, we only had one winner in
- 11:16Speaker 2: a year, 14 months of doing this game.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Carly's our contestant.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Hi, Carly.
- 11:22Speaker 6: Good morning.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Carly, you have one minute to answer 10 questions.
- 11:26Speaker 2: But before you do that, what are you doing right now?
- 11:28Speaker 1: Where are you?
- 11:30Speaker 3: I am taking my kids to school.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Okay, are they all in the car with you?
- 11:38Speaker 5: Yes, they are. Guys, say good morning.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 11:41Speaker 1: All right, good luck, you guys.
- 11:43Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 11:46Speaker 3: Peoria Ford right now.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Minute to win it.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Carly, it's all up to you. 60 seconds on the clock.
- 11:52Speaker 4: You just got to whip through all these 10 questions
- 11:54Speaker 4: correctly in the money issuers. Let's go. What fast food
- 11:58Speaker 4: chain is famous for a frozen dessert called the Frosty?
- 12:04Speaker 6: Wendy's.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Who is famous for writing Romeo and Juliet?
- 12:10Speaker 1: Shakespeare.
- 12:12Speaker 4: What field of study focuses on the mind in human behavior?
- 12:15Speaker 1: Psychology? Yeah, you're saying it.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Psychology?
- 12:22Speaker 4: Who wrote The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn?
- 12:26Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Oh, I was in this play.
- 12:32Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Who is it by?
- 12:39Speaker 6: Do you know? I don't know.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh. Mark Twain.
- 12:46Speaker 4: That is correct. Taekwondo originated in what country?
- 12:52Speaker 3: Japan.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Japan.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 12:56Speaker 4: South Korea. But you were rolling. You were rolling.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Good job.
- 13:02Speaker 4: You got five in. That's not too shab.
- 13:04Speaker 1: That wins you a gift card to Del Taco. But who.
- 13:08Speaker 5: All right.
- 13:09Speaker 6: Woo-hoo.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Tacos for everybody.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Tacos.
- 13:11Speaker 3: I am totally like you. Right on.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Thank you. Thanks for playing, you guys. Thanks for playing
- 13:15Speaker 1: and drive safe. Oh, that was fun.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Because Mark, you would have taken, what's the other guy?
- 13:21Speaker 2: Mark Twain had another name. Samuel something.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Samuel Clements? Isn't that what it is?
- 13:25Speaker 1: Or Clements? That was his real name. Yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 4: I figure most people would say Mark Twain, though.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 13:31Speaker 1: All right.
- 13:32Speaker 5: Okay.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Let's get into the Manhunter.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Manhunter.
- 13:36Speaker 2: And I'm not talking about lanterns. If you watch the
- 13:37Speaker 2: TV show Lanterns, there's a character called the Manhunter.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 13:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's not what happened to you.
- 13:42Speaker 5: No, no.
- 13:42Speaker 3: I got a text from my mom on Friday afternoon,
- 13:47Speaker 3: and she goes, on lockdown.
- 13:51Speaker 5: There's a manhunt. And that was it.
- 13:53Speaker 3: And I'm like, OK, probably going to need some more
- 13:56Speaker 3: details on what that means. And so it turns out
- 13:59Speaker 3: there was like her house is kind of like close
- 14:03Speaker 3: to a freeway and there was a like a supposedly
- 14:06Speaker 3: like a felony stop. They pulled this car over. There
- 14:10Speaker 3: were five people in the car. And when they pulled
- 14:12Speaker 3: them over, one guy who was armed got out of
- 14:16Speaker 3: the car and ran. The closest place to where he
- 14:20Speaker 3: was was my mom's neighborhood. Actually hopped the fence into
- 14:23Speaker 3: the neighborhood and that's where they were searching for him.
- 14:26Speaker 3: So they put the neighborhood on lockdown. Like they told
- 14:30Speaker 3: everyone to not leave their house.
- 14:32Speaker 1: How do they do that? With a helicopter PA? So
- 14:34Speaker 1: they did it.
- 14:35Speaker 3: There was like a neighborhood email. And text that went out.
- 14:39Speaker 3: So they emailed and texted everyone that lives in the neighborhood.
- 14:42Speaker 3: And they were like, please don't leave your house, lock
- 14:45Speaker 3: your doors, this and that. And so immediately, apparently my
- 14:49Speaker 3: mom and all of her friends started becoming like investigators.
- 14:53Speaker 3: You know, one of her friends texted her a picture
- 14:56Speaker 3: of like eight cop cars in front of her house
- 14:59Speaker 3: going into the house next door because someone had reported
- 15:01Speaker 3: that no one was there, but there was a window open.
- 15:04Speaker 3: And so they were like looking in the house and
- 15:07Speaker 3: trying to figure it out. And I was like, well,
- 15:08Speaker 3: I'm a little worried about you, mom, because, you know,
- 15:10Speaker 3: she lives alone.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Right.
- 15:12Speaker 5: And she's like, it's OK.
- 15:14Speaker 3: I'm armed with some bug spray.
- 15:17Speaker 5: I don't think that's going to do anything.
- 15:18Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 15:19Speaker 3: I don't know. I was like, maybe if like, I
- 15:23Speaker 3: don't know if you had a lighter with it, I
- 15:25Speaker 3: don't know, create like a flame torch or something.
- 15:27Speaker 4: If you're not expecting that as a burglar and you
- 15:30Speaker 4: get a face full of bug spray, you're going to be,
- 15:32Speaker 4: you're going to be out, out of it for a
- 15:34Speaker 4: little bit.
- 15:34Speaker 3: I was like, mom, off doesn't even work for the mosquitoes.
- 15:36Speaker 1: But, but it was like.
- 15:42Speaker 3: So it was like getting later and later and they
- 15:43Speaker 3: were still searching. There were still helicopters right around the
- 15:45Speaker 3: neighborhood and it was like starting to get dark. And
- 15:47Speaker 3: I was like, okay, well now I'm kind of like
- 15:49Speaker 3: really worried. Like, should we drive up to come be
- 15:51Speaker 3: with you? Because I don't want her being in the
- 15:53Speaker 3: house alone when there's a manhunt in her neighborhood. And
- 15:56Speaker 3: so she's like, well, I'll keep you posted. And then
- 15:59Speaker 3: like 20 minutes later, she texted us, they got the guy.
- 16:03Speaker 3: He was at the tractor and supply store, which I
- 16:05Speaker 3: don't know.
- 16:05Speaker 1: How he got there.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Cause I was like miles away, like miles. I'm so
- 16:09Speaker 3: glad they got the guy, but like, we got to
- 16:11Speaker 3: figure out a different security approach for your house. Yeah.
- 16:14Speaker 4: A little, a little something deeper than a mosquito repellent.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Something, something better.
- 16:18Speaker 1: What were the stories with the guy? Like what happened?
- 16:20Speaker 1: What did they do? What were they? He had a gun. Like,
- 16:22Speaker 1: why do you take off running? Like, what's his background?
- 16:24Speaker 1: What's he running?
- 16:25Speaker 4: Felony stop. She said, so they must've had, you know,
- 16:28Speaker 4: like the plates for something. You know, I watch Linus.
- 16:31Speaker 4: They stop people all the time.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I think that they got eyes in the sky. They
- 16:34Speaker 3: were suspected of robbery of somewhere, but I'm not really
- 16:37Speaker 3: sure where. I don't have a whole lot of exposure.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I'm not a really good friend to the other guys
- 16:40Speaker 1: in the car.
- 16:41Speaker 6: No.
- 16:42Speaker 1: He's like, you're on your own.
- 16:43Speaker 4: See ya.
- 16:44Speaker 3: See ya, suckers.
- 16:45Speaker 4: I'll tell you what. You show the officer your license
- 16:47Speaker 4: and registration. I'm just going to run away.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:51Speaker 3: So pretty scary bits, but everyone's okay. And they caught
- 16:54Speaker 3: the guy. So thank you to our law enforcement.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Call us.
- 16:57Speaker 2: If you ever had any kind of cool neighborhood, uh,
- 16:59Speaker 2: what drama neighborhood police action. I know my neighborhood about
- 17:04Speaker 2: two years ago, it was, it was big news over here.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Is it? Oh, somebody murdered somebody.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Like in the driveway or something, right?
- 17:11Speaker 1: On the street. He was jogging.
- 17:12Speaker 2: It was his brother. His brother shot his brother right
- 17:15Speaker 2: in the middle. And my wife had just walked by
- 17:18Speaker 2: there earlier. She walks the dogs and stuff.
- 17:21Speaker 5: That's so eerie when you think about that.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Yesterday, we had a big old to-do at our house.
- 17:25Speaker 1: It was crazy.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Yeah, you were sharing that your wife thought there was
- 17:29Speaker 3: like a gas leak or something?
- 17:30Speaker 2: So we were out of town, but two of my
- 17:34Speaker 2: boys were home. And when Blake and I walk in
- 17:37Speaker 2: the house, she immediately starts going, I smell gas.
- 17:41Speaker 1: There's a gas leak.
- 17:42Speaker 2: And she goes over to the stove, and it's all
- 17:44Speaker 2: turned off.
- 17:45Speaker 1: And then she starts going, I smell gas. I smell gas.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And then I have a bad sniffer. I can't smell anything.
- 17:52Speaker 2: So I don't smell anything. My son Jake's got a
- 17:54Speaker 2: really good nose. He says, I smelled something last night,
- 17:57Speaker 2: but I just went to sleep. And she calls my nephew.
- 18:00Speaker 2: So my nephew's a Phoenix firefighter. He just so happens
- 18:04Speaker 2: to be in hazmat class when he picks up the
- 18:07Speaker 2: phone how convenient and his name is patrick patrick cardenas
- 18:11Speaker 2: so shout out to him redhead big old handlebar mustache
- 18:15Speaker 2: so next thing you know i'm upstairs and i smell
- 18:18Speaker 2: it i actually smell something upstairs and it smells to
- 18:20Speaker 2: me like uh like i you know again my nose
- 18:23Speaker 2: is messed up so it smells like like if you
- 18:24Speaker 2: were to um take wood and furnish wood turpentine it's
- 18:28Speaker 2: i kind of smell that something chemical something like yeah
- 18:30Speaker 2: i smell that And then she's like, I'm upstairs.
- 18:33Speaker 1: And she yells, Jajay, everybody out of the house. We
- 18:37Speaker 1: got to get out of the house. Everyone out of
- 18:39Speaker 1: the house. I'm like, what?
- 18:40Speaker 2: So I go downstairs. She's outside. My son Kemp is outside.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Jake's on the toilet. She's like, Jake, get off the toilet.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Get outside. And I walk outside. I go, what's going on?
- 18:50Speaker 1: Patrick says we need to get everybody out of the house.
- 18:52Speaker 1: I go, hold on a second. I go, what are
- 18:57Speaker 1: we out of? She goes, the fire department's coming. I'm like, okay.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I go, so Patrick called the fire department. I'm sitting there.
- 19:01Speaker 2: So I go on Instagram live and I thought, I'm
- 19:03Speaker 2: going to have some fun with this. And I could
- 19:05Speaker 2: hear sirens coming. I go, they got the sirens on.
- 19:08Speaker 1: She's like, yeah. She was, I called 911. I go,
- 19:11Speaker 1: you called 911?
- 19:12Speaker 2: Like I was expecting Patrick to call a buddy, do
- 19:15Speaker 2: me a solid, check out my aunt's house.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Yeah. But she called 911. Well, they're going.
- 19:19Speaker 4: To get there fast.
- 19:20Speaker 2: And the 911 people came. Like, I think there were
- 19:23Speaker 2: four fire trucks. And I was like, I don't want
- 19:26Speaker 2: any attention on my house. And these guys, and they
- 19:28Speaker 2: were freaking awesome. And they came in and they had
- 19:31Speaker 2: the hose out too, ready to go. And then they
- 19:33Speaker 2: came in with their special detectors and they come out. Now,
- 19:37Speaker 2: a side note, my roof is being replaced right now, right?
- 19:40Speaker 2: So I'm getting a whole new roof. And that is
- 19:43Speaker 2: something awesome too. The company we're working with is fantastic.
- 19:45Speaker 2: And if you need a new roof, shoot me a
- 19:47Speaker 2: DM and I'll tell you, which I think is the
- 19:49Speaker 2: best roofing company because I dealt with all of them.
- 19:51Speaker 2: So the fire department shows they have special gas detectors.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:56Speaker 2: And so they're going through the whole house and they
- 19:58Speaker 2: come back and they go, now we're standing in the
- 19:59Speaker 2: front yard and they go, turns out there's no natural
- 20:02Speaker 2: gas leak.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Everything's fine. But we did detect gas.
- 20:06Speaker 2: I'm going to make up an initial, you know, CDL
- 20:11Speaker 2: in the air. And I'm like, what's that? Well, that
- 20:12Speaker 2: could be anything. That could be a dead animal, which
- 20:15Speaker 2: we don't think it's that. And the guy goes, are
- 20:18Speaker 2: you getting any work done in your house? My whole
- 20:21Speaker 2: roof is a blue tarp. Yeah.
- 20:22Speaker 1: And I go, my roof's getting replaced. And he goes.
- 20:26Speaker 1: That's probably it.
- 20:27Speaker 2: What you're probably smelling is the glue from the roof
- 20:29Speaker 2: coming in, which makes perfect sense.
- 20:32Speaker 6: Totally.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Very logical.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Had she not called 911, we probably could have discussed
- 20:36Speaker 2: it and figured that out, right?
- 20:38Speaker 1: Because we had just.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Walked in the door. Now you've got all the fire
- 20:41Speaker 4: trucks everywhere on the street.
- 20:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 20:43Speaker 4: You probably had neighbors coming out to find out what's
- 20:45Speaker 4: going on.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Had we had five seconds to have a conversation about
- 20:48Speaker 2: what was going on in the house... outside our house
- 20:51Speaker 2: before she called 911, we probably could have saved the
- 20:54Speaker 2: fire department. In fact, I kind of felt the fire
- 20:56Speaker 2: department walked away with shoulders slumped over like it was
- 20:58Speaker 2: a bummer that there wasn't anything that could squirt.
- 21:00Speaker 4: They could have had an explosion and they had nothing.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I was expecting the guys to come out of the
- 21:04Speaker 2: house going, everybody get down!
- 21:07Speaker 1: Everybody get down!
- 21:08Speaker 4: Well, now you've got to get those little CO2 detectors
- 21:11Speaker 4: that you just plug into the wall in your house.
- 21:13Speaker 1: I have those everywhere. I thought we had those.
- 21:15Speaker 4: And they're super cheap. I mean, they do the fire
- 21:18Speaker 4: and the So if you're breathing something that's not good,
- 21:21Speaker 4: those will go off and alert the fire department for you.
- 21:24Speaker 1: So thank you to Phoenix Fire. They were fantastic. They're awesome. Big,
- 21:26Speaker 1: big fans of Phoenix Fire. Raymond, what's up, man? You're
- 21:28Speaker 1: on the air. Good morning. What's up? Go ahead.
- 21:34Speaker 6: So you guys did a bit with the legendary Rick
- 21:37Speaker 6: Barron a week back. And it popped in my head
- 21:42Speaker 6: when Kyle had said that your golden phrase, my child's sick.
- 21:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:47Speaker 6: And I was wondering what came first. Was it my
- 21:51Speaker 6: child sick.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Or my name Jeff?
- 21:54Speaker 6: Because to me, they sound identical.
- 21:56Speaker 4: I think my child sick was pre-Vine.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Because I think my name Jeff was a Vine thing,
- 22:03Speaker 4: wasn't it?
- 22:03Speaker 5: Well, that was from 21 Jump Street. Yeah.
- 22:07Speaker 2: So real quick. So what he's talking about is we,
- 22:11Speaker 2: we do these phone pranks called butt slams and we
- 22:14Speaker 2: do them live and improvise the whole thing.
- 22:16Speaker 1: We're just weighing it.
- 22:17Speaker 2: And I can't remember how the, my, I was a
- 22:20Speaker 2: wife and I kept saying that my child was sick
- 22:22Speaker 2: and I kept saying my child was sick.
- 22:24Speaker 1: My child was sick.
- 22:26Speaker 2: But I kept saying it over and over again to
- 22:27Speaker 2: return into one word, my child sick, my child sick.
- 22:30Speaker 2: And then, and that, and that was a long time ago, Raymond.
- 22:33Speaker 2: So you must've been listening a long time. So thanks
- 22:35Speaker 2: for listening.
- 22:37Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, I don't know how we hold it together.
- 22:38Speaker 6: Whenever you guys say that, I don't know how you
- 22:40Speaker 6: guys don't laugh.
- 22:43Speaker 1: And then I think 21 Jump Street came out after that.
- 22:46Speaker 3: It came out in 2012.
- 22:47Speaker 2: But only, I think Raymond is the one that's putting
- 22:49Speaker 2: two and two together. My child's sick and my name's Jeff.
- 22:53Speaker 6: I do have multiple people talking to me in my head.
- 22:57Speaker 4: You're one of us. Welcome.
- 23:00Speaker 1: All right, Raymond, thanks for listening. Thanks for listening, Raymond.
- 23:03Speaker 6: Love you guys.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Have a good one. Thank you very much. Thanks a lot.
