The Most Transparent Administration? The Epstein Files Say Otherwise (Part 1) (9/11/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Yo, for an administration that never shuts the
• 0:08
Speaker 1: fuck up about transparency, it sure has developed a strange
• 0:12
Speaker 1: affection for secrecy whenever Epstein enters the conversation. The White
• 0:17
Speaker 1: House has actually called itself the most transparent administration in history,
• 0:22
Speaker 1: which is a hell of a boast when you consider
• 0:24
Speaker 1: what we're watching happening in real time. Apparently transparency means
• 0:29
Speaker 1: releasing whatever you feel comfortable releasing, congratulating yourself for it,
• 0:33
Speaker 1: and then slamming the door when somebody asks for something
• 0:36
Speaker 1: you'd rather not hand over. That's not really transparency where
• 0:40
Speaker 1: I come from. That's, you know, public relations. You can
• 0:43
Speaker 1: put whatever shiny label you want on the bottle, but
• 0:46
Speaker 1: eventually somebody is going to open it up and smell
• 0:49
Speaker 1: what is actually inside. And when it comes to Epstein,
• 0:53
Speaker 1: the smell has been coming out of Washington for a
• 0:55
Speaker 1: long damn time. we've spent years being told that the
• 0:58
Speaker 1: government wants answers just as bad as everybody else does. Then,
• 1:04
Speaker 1: somebody asks for the records, somebody asks for cooperation, somebody
• 1:08
Speaker 1: asks for an actual investigation, and suddenly everybody in charge
• 1:12
Speaker 1: develops a bad case, a fucking lockjaw. If this is
• 1:16
Speaker 1: what historic transparency looks like, I would hate to see
• 1:19
Speaker 1: what they consider secrecy. Now, the latest example isn't coming
• 1:23
Speaker 1: from a bunch of anonymous accounts, digging through screenshots at
• 1:27
Speaker 1: 3 in the morning. It's coming from law enforcement agencies
• 1:30
Speaker 1: and allied European countries that are actually investigating leads, you know,
• 1:35
Speaker 1: connected to Jeffrey Epstein. Poland says it requested unredacted Epstein
• 1:40
Speaker 1: material from the US in April and hasn't received a response.
• 1:44
Speaker 1: Norway says the United States has not approved its request
• 1:47
Speaker 1: for information. Latvia says it sent several requests for mutual
• 1:51
Speaker 1: legal assistance and has received no response. British authorities have
• 1:56
Speaker 1: also sought unredacted material from the United States for an
• 2:00
Speaker 1: Epstein-related investigation. Yo, these are our allies asking our Justice
• 2:04
Speaker 1: Department to help them investigate crimes and possible wrongdoing connected
• 2:09
Speaker 1: to a man whose entire operation was rooted right here
• 2:12
Speaker 1: in the United States. They're not asking for nuclear launch codes.
• 2:17
Speaker 1: They're asking for Epstein information. Yet somehow the most transparent
• 2:21
Speaker 1: administration in history can't seem to find the fucking envelope.
• 2:24
Speaker 1: And I think that that should make every American mad,
• 2:27
Speaker 1: no matter who you voted for. Epstein wasn't some European
• 2:31
Speaker 1: problem that washed up on our shores one afternoon. He
• 2:34
Speaker 1: was born here, operated here, recruited here, trafficked here, accumulated
• 2:39
Speaker 1: his wealth and influence here, and spent decades rubbing elbows
• 2:43
Speaker 1: with powerful people right here. American prosecutors investigated him. American
• 2:49
Speaker 1: federal agents seized his records. American courts handled his cases.
• 2:53
Speaker 1: American institutions felt as victims over and over again. Now
• 2:58
Speaker 1: governments overseas are trying to chase down the pieces of
• 3:01
Speaker 1: this mess that landed in their countries, and they're asking
• 3:04
Speaker 1: us for help. What are we doing? Making them wait?
• 3:09
Speaker 1: After everything this country already fucked up, involving Jeffrey Epstein,
• 3:13
Speaker 1: apparently we still have not figured out how to simply
• 3:15
Speaker 1: hand investigators the information that they need. And Poland is
• 3:20
Speaker 1: not fucking around about this either. Polish authorities opened an
• 3:24
Speaker 1: investigation after information from the Epstein material raised questions involving
• 3:28
Speaker 1: their own country. Prime Minister Donald Tusk publicly said Poland
• 3:32
Speaker 1: would investigate possible connections involving Epstein, including questions concerning Russian intelligence.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: Prosecutors then sought unredacted American records dealing with Polish aspects
• 3:43
Speaker 1: of the case. Months later, they're still waiting. How many
• 3:48
Speaker 1: times have Americans been told that the reason more people
• 3:51
Speaker 1: were never held accountable was because prosecutors needed more evidence?
• 3:56
Speaker 1: Here you have prosecutors saying, fine, give us the evidence.
• 3:59
Speaker 1: And suddenly the government, holding that evidence, seems to have
• 4:02
Speaker 1: trouble answering the phone? Yo, you can't spend years telling
• 4:06
Speaker 1: people nobody can be prosecuted, and then drag your feet
• 4:09
Speaker 1: when another country actually wants to investigate. Now Norway has
• 4:14
Speaker 1: its own investigation moving forward, and again the United States
• 4:17
Speaker 1: possesses information Norwegian prosecutors want. Norwegian authorities have pursued cases
• 4:22
Speaker 1: involving prominent figures whose relationships with Epstein came under scrutiny.
• 4:28
Speaker 1: Their prosecutor says they're communicating with American officials, but that
• 4:31
Speaker 1: the United States still has not approved their requests. She
• 4:35
Speaker 1: called the situation very unfortunate for the investigation. No shit,
• 4:40
Speaker 1: it's unfortunate. Investigations tend to work better when investigators can
• 4:45
Speaker 1: obtain the evidence that they're asking for. We constantly hear
• 4:49
Speaker 1: politicians talk about standing shoulder to shoulder with our allies
• 4:52
Speaker 1: when it involves wars, sanctions, intelligence operations, trade agreements, and
• 4:57
Speaker 1: everything else Washington considers important. Apparently Jeffrey Epstein falls into
• 5:02
Speaker 1: some special category where everybody suddenly needs to move at
• 5:06
Speaker 1: the speed of frozen molasses. Funny how that keeps happening
• 5:10
Speaker 1: with this particular fucking case. And that of course brings
• 5:13
Speaker 1: us to Latvia. and Latvian police say that they have
• 5:17
Speaker 1: identified a Latvian victim connected to their investigation. They've sent
• 5:21
Speaker 1: several requests for mutual legal assistance to authorities in the
• 5:24
Speaker 1: United States. They say those requests have received no responses.
• 5:28
Speaker 1: There is an alleged victim sitting in the middle of
• 5:30
Speaker 1: that sentence, and somehow the government bureaucracy still manages to
• 5:35
Speaker 1: make itself the main character. How many decades do survivors
• 5:38
Speaker 1: have to spend waiting for powerful institutions to do the
• 5:42
Speaker 1: right thing, How many times do they have to watch
• 5:44
Speaker 1: governments talk about justice while information sits behind a desk somewhere?
• 5:50
Speaker 1: Epstein survivors already learn what government delay looks like the
• 5:53
Speaker 1: hard way. They lived through sweetheart deals, sealed agreements, hidden negotiations,
• 5:58
Speaker 1: and years when powerful men had every advantage in the world.
• 6:03
Speaker 1: Watching another government office sit on information while investigators ask
• 6:07
Speaker 1: for it is not going to inspire confidence in anybody
• 6:10
Speaker 1: who's followed the story for more than five minutes. Now
• 6:14
Speaker 1: Britain's dealing with the same bullshit from another direction. British
• 6:18
Speaker 1: authorities sought unredacted Epstein records connected to an investigation involving
• 6:23
Speaker 1: former ambassador Peter Mandelson. The formal request followed earlier discussions
• 6:28
Speaker 1: that did not produce the information investigators wanted. Stop and
• 6:32
Speaker 1: appreciate how ridiculous this looks. Governments in Europe are looking
• 6:37
Speaker 1: at American Epstein material and deciding there is enough there
• 6:40
Speaker 1: to warrant further investigation. Meanwhile, the country where Epstein built
• 6:45
Speaker 1: the damn machine seems determined to convince everybody that there's
• 6:48
Speaker 1: nothing left worth investigating, and that disconnect is impossible for
• 6:53
Speaker 1: me to ignore. Apparently Europeans can look at these records
• 6:58
Speaker 1: and see investigative leads, while DC looks at the same
• 7:01
Speaker 1: universe of evidence and somehow sees a closed book. Either
• 7:05
Speaker 1: our allies are wasting their time, or somebody in this
• 7:07
Speaker 1: country ought to explain why we're not showing the same
• 7:10
Speaker 1: curiosity that they are. Look, I've covered this case long
• 7:14
Speaker 1: enough to know what the government sounds like when it
• 7:17
Speaker 1: wants the story to go away. First comes the giant
• 7:20
Speaker 1: document dump. Then comes the victory lab. Then comes the
• 7:23
Speaker 1: declaration that everything important has been released. Then comes the
• 7:27
Speaker 1: chorus telling everybody there is nothing new here. Then comes
• 7:30
Speaker 1: the people online repeating that message so relentlessly you would
• 7:34
Speaker 1: think somebody was paying them by the syllable. The argument
• 7:37
Speaker 1: eventually becomes that continuing to ask questions is itself suspicious.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: You become the conspiracy theorist for noticing the holes instead
• 7:46
Speaker 1: of the government being held responsible for leaving the holes there.
• 7:50
Speaker 1: I've watched that trick play out with Epstein for years,
• 7:53
Speaker 1: and I'm not buying it. Yes, millions of pages have
• 7:56
Speaker 1: been released, and I'm perfectly capable of counting. DOJ says
• 8:00
Speaker 1: it published nearly three and a half million pages under
• 8:03
Speaker 1: the Epstein File Transparency Act, along with thousands of videos
• 8:07
Speaker 1: and roughly 180,000 images. Great. Nobody gets a medal for
• 8:11
Speaker 1: complying with a law Congress passed specifically because the public
• 8:15
Speaker 1: demanded the records. Yo, page count is not the same
• 8:19
Speaker 1: thing as accountability. You could dump 10 million pages into
• 8:22
Speaker 1: the public square tomorrow and still leave unanswered questions sitting
• 8:26
Speaker 1: underneath the pile. I care about what is there, what's missing,
• 8:30
Speaker 1: who made the decisions, who was investigated, who was not investigated,
• 8:34
Speaker 1: and why. I care about why governments overseas seem more
• 8:38
Speaker 1: interested in following some of these leads Then the people
• 8:41
Speaker 1: sitting on top of the largest collection of Epstein evidence
• 8:43
Speaker 1: in existence and saying you released three and a half
• 8:46
Speaker 1: million pages doesn't answer any of that. And you know
• 8:49
Speaker 1: what else is wild? That people pretend that curiosity about
• 8:53
Speaker 1: Epstein somehow has become unreasonable. This is Jeffrey Epstein we're
• 8:58
Speaker 1: talking about. A convicted sex offender who surrounded himself with billionaires, politicians, royalty, academics, bankers, lawyers, businessmen, diplomats,
• 9:07
Speaker 1: and people with connections. to some of the most powerful
• 9:10
Speaker 1: institutions on earth. He got one of the most infamous
• 9:13
Speaker 1: sweetheart deals in modern American criminal justice. He returned to
• 9:17
Speaker 1: federal custody years later and died before his case ever
• 9:21
Speaker 1: reached trial. His associate, Glenn Maxwell, was convicted of helping
• 9:25
Speaker 1: recruit and groom minors for abuse. Banks paid enormous sums
• 9:29
Speaker 1: to resolve civil litigation tied to their relationship with him.
• 9:32
Speaker 1: Survivors fought for years just to drag pieces of the
• 9:35
Speaker 1: story into daylight. and I'm supposed to believe the crazy
• 9:39
Speaker 1: people are the ones who still have questions? Yo, I've
• 9:43
Speaker 1: said for years, the most important part of the story
• 9:46
Speaker 1: is not some mythical piece of paper with the words
• 9:48
Speaker 1: client list stamped across the top. That was always a
• 9:51
Speaker 1: convenient distraction. The real questions are sitting in the relationships,
• 9:56
Speaker 1: the money, the introductions, the travel, the recruitment networks, the
• 10:01
Speaker 1: financial institutions, the fixtures, the employees, the assistants, the lawyers,
• 10:06
Speaker 1: and the powerful people who kept showing up around Epstein
• 10:10
Speaker 1: long after nobody could claim they didn't know what kind
• 10:12
Speaker 1: of man he was. And reducing the entire scandal to
• 10:17
Speaker 1: whether somebody found a neat little list was a brilliant
• 10:19
Speaker 1: way to make the public argument stupid. If there's no list,
• 10:24
Speaker 1: then apparently there's no scandal. If there's no list, then
• 10:27
Speaker 1: apparently nobody else deserves investigation. If there is no list,
• 10:31
Speaker 1: then Epstein somehow trafficked girls into a fucking vacuum. That
• 10:35
Speaker 1: has never made sense, and it still does not make sense.
• 10:39
Speaker 1: Now throw the influencer world into the mess and tell
• 10:42
Speaker 1: me I'm supposed to pretend everything looks normal. For months,
• 10:45
Speaker 1: I watched supposedly independent political accounts carrying the administration's water
• 10:50
Speaker 1: on Epstein. And Data Republican was one of them. When
• 10:54
Speaker 1: the administration line hardened, the same voices hardened with it.
• 10:57
Speaker 1: When Trump wanted people to move on, they found reasons
• 11:00
Speaker 1: people should move on. When skepticism toward the official story
• 11:04
Speaker 1: became politically inconvenient, questioning the story suddenly became something to mock.
• 11:09
Speaker 1: Then we learned that Jennica Pounds, the woman behind Data Republican,
• 11:13
Speaker 1: was actually working for the federal government as a special
• 11:16
Speaker 1: government employee at the Pentagon? The Pentagon confirmed the employment,
• 11:21
Speaker 1: and Pounds herself said she began working there in July,
• 11:24
Speaker 1: after previously being part of the Pentagon press corps. I
• 11:28
Speaker 1: smelled something rotten with these people before that revelation ever
• 11:31
Speaker 1: came out, and I trust my nose a hell of
• 11:33
Speaker 1: a lot more today than I did then. Alright folks,
• 11:36
Speaker 1: we're going to wrap up episode one right here, and
• 11:38
Speaker 1: in the next episode, we're going to wrap this up.
• 11:41
Speaker 1: All the information that goes with this episode can be
