Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this is Mark Simon Show on seven ten.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hey, I gotta let to get to today. How much longer?
- 0:13Speaker 2: In Iran, we'll tell you Savannah Guthrie very very moving
- 0:18Speaker 2: moving stuff in her interview. We'll get to meta Facebook
- 0:23Speaker 2: YouTube lost a blockbuster lawsuit. This could spell real, real
- 0:30Speaker 2: trouble for them if they don't get this turned around.
- 0:33Speaker 2: We'll get to Florida. How come Democrats are suddenly winning
- 0:37Speaker 2: in Florida. We'll get to Tis James. New charges coming
- 0:40Speaker 2: against her, new criminal referrals are coming. It's Mets opening day,
- 0:45Speaker 2: to day, city field, Mets opening day, Baseball season, easters
- 0:50Speaker 2: right around the corner, and we got hang on to
- 0:53Speaker 2: Gona sneeze again. Allergy allergies. It's the worst couple of
- 1:01Speaker 2: days of allergies, driving us crazy. But hopefully this goes
- 1:07Speaker 2: away after a few more days. Curtis sounds like he's
- 1:10Speaker 2: got allergies. I sound like I got it. It's terrible,
- 1:13Speaker 2: but so Iran figure two and a half more weeks.
- 1:16Speaker 2: That's the word, two and a half more weeks. They
- 1:18Speaker 2: want to wrap it up. The President wants to wrap
- 1:20Speaker 2: it up, notw to wrap it up. You're going to
- 1:22Speaker 2: have to have one final massive strike, massive way beyond
- 1:29Speaker 2: anything we've done so far. So they're planning that very carefully.
- 1:32Speaker 2: There will be one monstrous monsters strike, just take out
- 1:36Speaker 2: everything military, every offensive capability they have. That'll happen at
- 1:40Speaker 2: the end. We are negotiating. At the same time. As
- 1:45Speaker 2: we've been telling you there's a third party. We can
- 1:47Speaker 2: now tell you it's Pakistan. They've been negotiating through. Pakistan
- 1:51Speaker 2: has been the intermediary between the US and Iran. They're
- 1:54Speaker 2: far apart on terms, but that's always the case in
- 1:57Speaker 2: the beginning. The war continues, and the only criticism is
- 2:01Speaker 2: this not an economical war, because we've taken out all
- 2:04Speaker 2: the big stuff that Iran has and they're down to
- 2:06Speaker 2: their drones, and they've been using these drones. These are
- 2:10Speaker 2: very sophisticated drones, long range drones. They cost about thirty
- 2:14Speaker 2: thousand apiece, and we've taken out just about everyone, like
- 2:18Speaker 2: ninety five percent of them we strike down. However, we
- 2:23Speaker 2: do it with a missile that costs about a million dollars.
- 2:26Speaker 2: So for every thirty thousand dollars drone we not got
- 2:29Speaker 2: it cost us a million to knock it out, but
- 2:32Speaker 2: it's well worth it. It's well worth it. He also
- 2:34Speaker 2: forgot to mention Jimmy Kimmel getting in all kinds of trouble.
- 2:38Speaker 2: You know, Jimmy Kimmel when he first came along, was
- 2:40Speaker 2: on that sports show, the Man show that this shows
- 2:44Speaker 2: is some sort of blue collar, you know, average guy.
- 2:50Speaker 2: And now he became this elitist Hollywood figure, this total elitist,
- 2:56Speaker 2: and as any elitist democrat does, he just put down people.
- 3:00Speaker 2: You know, they pretend they're fighting for the little guy.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Meantime they hate the little guy. So Mark Wayne Mullen
- 3:06Speaker 2: gets confirmed as the new head of Homeland Security and
- 3:12Speaker 2: Kimmel goes off on him in the monologue two Nights
- 3:16Speaker 2: ago about it. He's a plumber. Before he was in Congress,
- 3:19Speaker 2: he was a plumber. Well actually, you know, he was
- 3:22Speaker 2: a famous for wrestling, but he did I don't know
- 3:25Speaker 2: if he was an actual plumber. He did start a
- 3:27Speaker 2: plumbing business and it grew. He really built it into
- 3:32Speaker 2: some big business down there. You know, it's one little
- 3:34Speaker 2: plumbing company and then it became a whole bunch of them,
- 3:37Speaker 2: so very successful plumbing business. But Kimmel putting him down.
- 3:40Speaker 2: It's just a plumber. Can you imagine putting a plumber
- 3:44Speaker 2: in charge of homeland security was the way he said it,
- 3:46Speaker 2: a plumber, as if as if that's the lowest thing
- 3:50Speaker 2: on earth. Well, the idea of the Democratic Party was there. Therefore,
- 3:55Speaker 2: the working man, the working guy, the factory worker, the
- 3:58Speaker 2: blue collar guy. Remember Biden pretending all those years to
- 4:02Speaker 2: be lunch bucket Joe or whatever. He was that fake
- 4:05Speaker 2: every man. So Kim will get in a lot of
- 4:08Speaker 2: flack everywhere for putting down working people like that. Just
- 4:12Speaker 2: looked awful. Savannah Guthrie, the interview has been playing today
- 4:17Speaker 2: and tomorrow, very very moving. She's crying Hoda Cottpy's interviewer,
- 4:23Speaker 2: or she's crying. I didn't realize the house that her
- 4:27Speaker 2: mother lived in, that's been the family house forever. In fact,
- 4:30Speaker 2: it's the house Savannah Guthrie grew up and they moved
- 4:32Speaker 2: there when she was four years old. It's the house
- 4:35Speaker 2: she always lived in. And she said she just can't
- 4:37Speaker 2: go in it now. It's too many nightmares in there.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Here's a bit of the interview.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Someone needs to do the right thing. We are in agony, Yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 1: we are in agony. It is unbearable to think of
- 5:00Speaker 1: That's what she went through.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Now I can imagine her pain, but I don't know.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I mean, I understand NBC's a business and they do
- 5:07Speaker 2: it for ratings, But should you be exploiting this agony
- 5:10Speaker 2: like that, filming it, breaking it up in a two
- 5:13Speaker 2: part series. You shouldn't be exploiting this. And you're watching
- 5:17Speaker 2: her in it, just torturous pain. And then a month
- 5:22Speaker 2: from now she's gonna come back to the Today Show.
- 5:24Speaker 2: And what is she going to do is go back
- 5:26Speaker 2: to being herself now with the weather here's so it's
- 5:28Speaker 2: not gonna look right, here's more of it.
- 5:31Speaker 3: I wake up.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Every night, in the middle of the night, every night,
- 5:40Speaker 4: and in the darkness, I imagine her terror and it
- 5:51Speaker 4: is unthinkable, but those thoughts demand to be thought.
- 5:58Speaker 1: And ill that she needs to come home.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Now, Yeah, she does. In all the interview, all these interviews,
- 6:12Speaker 2: she talks about her mother in the present tense. It
- 6:15Speaker 2: was hard to be hard to believe that the mother
- 6:17Speaker 2: is still alive a couple of months later, without her medicine,
- 6:20Speaker 2: without you know, that's hard problems. So but again you
- 6:25Speaker 2: listen to her in this pain and this agony, and
- 6:28Speaker 2: it's going to be hard for her to go back
- 6:30Speaker 2: to work and just say it's not good. I mean,
- 6:34Speaker 2: how's she going to do it? I guess you can
- 6:36Speaker 2: pull yourself together. They were talking about April tenth, but
- 6:39Speaker 2: that's not far away. I don't know if she makes
- 6:41Speaker 2: it back by April tenth. A couple of things she
- 6:44Speaker 2: revealed the house. When they first went to the house,
- 6:46Speaker 2: the back doors of the house had been propped open.
- 6:50Speaker 2: The back doors of the house had been propped open.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Mother wasn't there. That thought maybe there was some medical emergency,
- 6:57Speaker 2: and paramedics came and took her through the back door,
- 7:00Speaker 2: maybe a stretcher, that's why they opened the back door.
- 7:02Speaker 2: But they saw the mother's phone was there, her Apple watch,
- 7:05Speaker 2: her purse, everything was there. So they couldn't figure out
- 7:09Speaker 2: what happened. They finally called the police, and then they
- 7:11Speaker 2: said it was all chaos. You know, these local police,
- 7:15Speaker 2: local Arizona police, not the most efficient in the world.
- 7:21Speaker 2: All the ransom notes, she believes they were all fake.
- 7:24Speaker 2: There's two that she thinks could possibly have been real,
- 7:28Speaker 2: but she believes all the other notes just total fakes,
- 7:32Speaker 2: people trying to cash in. And then she did say
- 7:36Speaker 2: at one point she's tormented by the idea that it
- 7:40Speaker 2: was because of her her mother got kidnapped. Maybe the
- 7:43Speaker 2: kidnapper thought the daughter's famous, she's got a lot of money.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Maybe that's a good target. So that she said, will
- 7:49Speaker 2: just haunt her forever. But tough to watch that interview.
- 7:53Speaker 2: It's very tough to watch it. So now, hey, in Florida,
- 7:58Speaker 2: in Palm Beach, you know, a little congressional race the
- 8:02Speaker 2: Democrat wins. This is Palm Beach, this is mar A Lago,
- 8:05Speaker 2: this is Trump's hometown. But it's happening more and more
- 8:09Speaker 2: in Florida, where Democrats are suddenly winning where they don't
- 8:13Speaker 2: usually win, where they never won before. There are a
- 8:15Speaker 2: couple of congressional races Democrats have won in Florida, surprising everybody.
- 8:20Speaker 2: In Miami, for the first time in a million years,
- 8:22Speaker 2: they elected a Democrat as mayor of Miami. Things are
- 8:27Speaker 2: changing down there. Know why is this? Well, you know
- 8:30Speaker 2: they say, everybody's moving to Miami. Everybody's all the New Yorkers,
- 8:34Speaker 2: are people of New Jersey, people of New York people,
- 8:37Speaker 2: they're all moving to Miami. Well, those are mostly Democrats.
- 8:40Speaker 2: So you got all these people there now voting Democrat.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Why else would it suddenly be changing. Why else? I mean,
- 8:48Speaker 2: it's always a Republican wins in Miami. Why is suddenly
- 8:50Speaker 2: a Democrat winning? Same thing in Palm Beach? Always a Republican.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Why is it democrat suddenly win? Because you've got all
- 8:56Speaker 2: these New Yorkers down there voting now, and the move
- 9:00Speaker 2: down there continues. So if this trend continues, we have
- 9:05Speaker 2: a lot of listeners down there in Florida. You may
- 9:07Speaker 2: be living in a democratic estate pretty soon. You may
- 9:10Speaker 2: be living in democratic city pretty soon. And those Democrats,
- 9:14Speaker 2: you know what they do. They like to tax you
- 9:16Speaker 2: to death, They like to drive your nuts with all
- 9:18Speaker 2: kinds of crazy stuff could be happening down there. So, hey,
- 9:23Speaker 2: Maduro goes to court today. The Venezuelan leader been in
- 9:28Speaker 2: prison since January. That's like three months he's been sitting there.
- 9:31Speaker 2: But he goes into court today. If you've been locked
- 9:33Speaker 2: in this dungeon prison for three months, that's like a
- 9:37Speaker 2: great vacation to be taken to court. You get to
- 9:40Speaker 2: ride out in a car, you get to see fresh
- 9:42Speaker 2: air and look out the window, and go to a courtroom.
- 9:44Speaker 2: They got a cafeteria. It's like it's like paradise after
- 9:48Speaker 2: you've been locked in a prison. So let's see what
- 9:51Speaker 2: happens at the end of the day. Facebook companies actually
- 9:55Speaker 2: called meta YouTube. They got a problem, are real serious problem.
- 10:01Speaker 2: So this lawsuit, the twenty year old claims that the
- 10:06Speaker 2: way they set up a Facebook and YouTube and these
- 10:10Speaker 2: sort of things, they designed this algorithm to get you addicted,
- 10:17Speaker 2: and that this twenty year old woman her life was
- 10:19Speaker 2: ruined because she came addicted to Facebook to Google's YouTube.
- 10:26Speaker 2: She went to court, they sued, and she won, and
- 10:30Speaker 2: Facebook was found liable for four point two million in damages. Google,
- 10:34Speaker 2: which is YouTube, found liable for one point eight million.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Now what about Snapchat, what about TikTok? Well, they settled
- 10:42Speaker 2: out of court, which also means millions of dollars. So
- 10:45Speaker 2: this woman's probably got to Muno's ten to fifteen million already.
- 10:49Speaker 2: But what does this mean. If she can get four
- 10:52Speaker 2: million from Facebook, that means everybody can get four million
- 10:54Speaker 2: from Facebook. They got hundreds of millions of users. This
- 10:58Speaker 2: could destroy the bottom line of the company. So they're
- 11:00Speaker 2: gonna have to appeal this, They're gonna have to win.
- 11:03Speaker 2: This Los Angeles jury found that this twenty year old
- 11:07Speaker 2: woman was harmed and she became dangerously obsessed at a
- 11:12Speaker 2: young age because the algorithms were deliberately built to be addictive. Now,
- 11:18Speaker 2: what would that mean, that you're dangerously obsessed with Facebook?
- 11:23Speaker 2: How dangerous could that be? I mean, I understand if
- 11:25Speaker 2: it's meth or cracker, but I'm dangerously addicted to Facebook.
- 11:30Speaker 2: What's the worst that would happen? It's sit there looking
- 11:32Speaker 2: at Facebook all day or YouTube? I would, Hey, I could,
- 11:35Speaker 2: I'll probably owe four million. I've become addicted to YouTube.
- 11:38Speaker 2: That's all I watch is YouTube, And I don't know
- 11:42Speaker 2: how dangerous is this algorithm? Like, whatever I watch, whatever
- 11:47Speaker 2: I type in I want to see. They figure all
- 11:50Speaker 2: this out, and then you know, every time you sign
- 11:52Speaker 2: on YouTube, it just used to be a big YouTube page.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Now it's a page with twenty seven possible things you
- 11:58Speaker 2: could go to on it. And the algorithm is really good.
- 12:01Speaker 2: It knows what I like. It knows what I like.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Sometimes I like to watch old Tonight Show Johnny Carson's,
- 12:07Speaker 2: so all of a sudden, all you'll see are these
- 12:09Speaker 2: very rare Johnny Carson clips, twenty or thirty of them
- 12:12Speaker 2: when you sign on her. I've been watching Breaking Bad
- 12:16Speaker 2: and then I looked at something on breaking back. Now
- 12:19Speaker 2: I see all these breaking bad things things I wouldn't
- 12:21Speaker 2: even have known about. Breaking bad outtakes breaking bad behind
- 12:25Speaker 2: the scenes, So it is. But is that wrong? I mean,
- 12:31Speaker 2: if you've realized this is what your customer really likes
- 12:34Speaker 2: and you tell them about it. They do that all
- 12:37Speaker 2: the time. You know, if you go to a store
- 12:39Speaker 2: and you buy something all the time, if you have
- 12:41Speaker 2: a really good salesperson, like I'm always buying this stuff,
- 12:45Speaker 2: when they get some new ones in, the salesperson will
- 12:47Speaker 2: call you, hey, we just got a new ship in them.
- 12:49Speaker 2: So I mean, are they getting you dangerously addicted? I
- 12:53Speaker 2: don't know, I don't know. You know, restaurants they don't
- 12:58Speaker 2: do this. Can you imagine restaurants they figure it out
- 13:00Speaker 2: if you're a regular customer, they figure out what you love,
- 13:02Speaker 2: and then every time you came in, they brought a
- 13:04Speaker 2: tray of a whole selection of it and waved it
- 13:06Speaker 2: under your nose. That's basically what Facebook and YouTube are doing.
- 13:10Speaker 2: But this will end up in the Supreme Court. It
- 13:13Speaker 2: is dangerously addictive, I guess. But a lot of things are.
- 13:17Speaker 2: What's that stupid game? That wordle remember that new York
- 13:20Speaker 2: Times wordle or that kind of stuff. Dangerously addictive. Video
- 13:25Speaker 2: games are dangerously addictive. I don't know, I don't know.
- 13:30Speaker 2: This is going to be a tough thing to figure out. Hey,
- 13:31Speaker 2: here's some good news.
- 13:33Speaker 5: You know.
- 13:34Speaker 2: You see all these polls, Kathy hokeles, she's twenty points
- 13:36Speaker 2: ahead of Bruce Blakeman, way ahead of Bruce Blakeman. This
- 13:39Speaker 2: is all these are, these public polls, these cheap college polls,
- 13:43Speaker 2: or these slanted media polls. They're all slanted, rigged. That's not,
- 13:49Speaker 2: you know, an opinion, that's a fact. You can actually
- 13:51Speaker 2: look in the metrics, and the metrics are all off.
- 13:55Speaker 2: They only sam the sample. It's only twenty three percent.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Republicans should be thirty eight percent. They're using the wrong demo.
- 14:01Speaker 2: They're not using likely voters, they're using adults, which means
- 14:05Speaker 2: they pick who they want. There's all these ways they
- 14:07Speaker 2: rig it. But the real polls, which cost a fortune,
- 14:11Speaker 2: the campaigns pay for those. The media is you know,
- 14:14Speaker 2: these media polls, it costs three thousand, four thousand bucks.
- 14:18Speaker 2: The real poles are like a million dollars a month.
- 14:21Speaker 2: There are a lot of money. But in the real
- 14:24Speaker 2: internal polling, apparently Hokal very upset. Bruce Blakeman is now
- 14:29Speaker 2: within single digits. That's from twenty points back. He's now
- 14:32Speaker 2: within single digits now only nine points behind. This is
- 14:37Speaker 2: in the real polls, the private polls, the real polls.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Frightening for Hockel, because if he made up that much
- 14:43Speaker 2: ground that fast, that means victory for him. Now, when
- 14:49Speaker 2: he ran in Nasal County, very similar to New York
- 14:52Speaker 2: State demographically, and it's it's more Democrats than the Republicans,
- 14:56Speaker 2: and he started their twenty five points behind, but he
- 14:59Speaker 2: won both times, so he's catching up. The poll numbers
- 15:03Speaker 2: look great for him. Hey, we'll take some calls next.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 15:09Speaker 2: the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:14Speaker 6: Give war, oh Brie said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 15:18Speaker 6: hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in an instance.
- 15:23Speaker 7: Now back to the Mark Simon show on woor.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:31Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Jay
- 15:34Speaker 2: in Hudson County. Jay, how you doing?
- 15:37Speaker 6: Hey? Mark?
- 15:38Speaker 8: Yeah, what do you think about John Kats Matities meeting
- 15:41Speaker 8: soul on? You you think that's you know, they're doing
- 15:43Speaker 8: some deal down there with WABC.
- 15:46Speaker 5: No.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Actually they're working on a top secret deal which I
- 15:49Speaker 2: can reveal here. We John and I do the Police
- 15:53Speaker 2: Athletic League. He's the chairman. I'm on the board and
- 15:56Speaker 2: we do these big luncheons every month and every mayor
- 15:58Speaker 2: always speaks, and we've been trying to get the mayor
- 16:01Speaker 2: to speak and keep getting It's difficult working through the staff.
- 16:06Speaker 2: So he actually went to ask him to do that luncheon,
- 16:09Speaker 2: which I think he's agreed to. I'm sure other things
- 16:11Speaker 2: came up. It was a forty minute meeting, but the
- 16:14Speaker 2: main purpose of that was to get them to the luncheon,
- 16:17Speaker 2: and I think we got him silence. All right, Well,
- 16:23Speaker 2: it's all for a good cause. A lot of it
- 16:25Speaker 2: was about the Police Athletic League, which is the best
- 16:27Speaker 2: children's charity in New York, helps minority kids, does a
- 16:31Speaker 2: lot of good and he was very interested to hear
- 16:33Speaker 2: about it. So, see, the one thing you want to
- 16:36Speaker 2: do with these luncheons. It's all top business people, CEOs,
- 16:39Speaker 2: and they want to meet and we did one two
- 16:41Speaker 2: days ago. Fire commissioner new fire Commissioner. They want to
- 16:44Speaker 2: meet all the new leaders all and it's good for
- 16:46Speaker 2: the politicians to meet all the business leaders because they
- 16:49Speaker 2: need to know. Most of these guys are their single
- 16:51Speaker 2: biggest taxpayers. And in any business, you want to go
- 16:55Speaker 2: talk to your biggest customers. And if you're the biggest taxpayers,
- 16:58Speaker 2: you're the biggest customers. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 17:01Speaker 2: how you doing, Good.
- 17:03Speaker 8: Morning, Mark, Yes, Mike, this a couple of things. But anyway,
- 17:07Speaker 8: this Facebook thing is kind of a dangerous precedent. But
- 17:10Speaker 8: you know, they said the same thing about rock and roll,
- 17:13Speaker 8: and they said the same thing about FM radio, and
- 17:15Speaker 8: they said the same thing about television that it was
- 17:18Speaker 8: warping the brains of kids and it was addicting them
- 17:21Speaker 8: to these various media sources. And it's a it's a
- 17:25Speaker 8: big lie, you know. So this jury in LA has
- 17:29Speaker 8: said a bad precedent, and you're right. They have to
- 17:31Speaker 8: fight this tooth and nail because it's going to cost
- 17:35Speaker 8: everybody millions, if not billions, in the long run.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah, the idea that Facebook
- 17:40Speaker 2: is addictive because of the way they use the algorithm,
- 17:43Speaker 2: it makes perfect sense if you see what somebody likes when.
- 17:50Speaker 2: One of the arguments was when the YouTube thing when
- 17:52Speaker 2: it when the video ends, it goes right into the
- 17:56Speaker 2: next videos. They figured out something else you would like,
- 17:58Speaker 2: and then that starts playing next. But you can shut
- 18:00Speaker 2: that off whatever they call that automatic, whatever continuous play,
- 18:05Speaker 2: you can shut it off. But everybody does that. We
- 18:08Speaker 2: do that in the radio. We've always done that in
- 18:09Speaker 2: the radio. You know, when the Gono commercial and they say,
- 18:12Speaker 2: coming up next, what's the most expensive hotel room in
- 18:15Speaker 2: the world, that's called the teas. That's to get you
- 18:18Speaker 2: to stay through the break and listen. It's done all
- 18:20Speaker 2: the time in all kinds of businesses. Let's go to
- 18:23Speaker 2: Rich in Fair Lawn. Rich, how you doing.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I'm doing fine, sir.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Yes, I was twenty years old going into Fort Dicks.
- 18:32Speaker 3: For my basic.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Training was that for World War One, played.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Joony Jean's record all over there.
- 18:37Speaker 2: You used to play chains record.
- 18:39Speaker 8: What happened to her?
- 18:41Speaker 2: Well, she'd be about one hundred and fifty eight now
- 18:43Speaker 2: I think she's probably dead. That would be the nineteen fifties, right.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Right, yes, fifty three fifty.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Four, Okay, that's hang on, My math is not that good.
- 18:53Speaker 2: That'd be like seventy two, seventy three years ago. Let's
- 18:57Speaker 2: say she was thirty then. That put her in the hundreds.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I would assume she's no longer with us. Oh okay,
- 19:04Speaker 2: all right, thanks for calling. Yeah, you know it was
- 19:08Speaker 2: before my time, but Alwa used to hear about this
- 19:10Speaker 2: Jony James. Apparently back then in the fifties, she was
- 19:13Speaker 2: quite hot stuff there because a lot of these guys
- 19:16Speaker 2: had quite a thing for Jony James. Let's go to
- 19:19Speaker 2: Mara and Nevada. Mara, how you doing so good?
- 19:22Speaker 9: I'm talking to you, Chap Vincent. I gotta talk Fisk
- 19:25Speaker 9: because Vincent's coming up behind me.
- 19:27Speaker 2: All right, talk.
- 19:28Speaker 9: If the Dems could screw up I have two things.
- 19:31Speaker 9: If the Dems could screw up Trump's two hundred and
- 19:33Speaker 9: fiftieth anniversary, they would love it, love it, love it.
- 19:37Speaker 9: And number two, how come Trump can't put a freeze
- 19:40Speaker 9: on mortgage payment, rent payment, loan payment for these TSA workers.
- 19:45Speaker 9: They're gonna get all their back pay and then they'll
- 19:47Speaker 9: bring everything up to date.
- 19:49Speaker 2: They did very good. I didn't get excellent idea. Thanks
- 19:53Speaker 2: for calling. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how
- 19:56Speaker 2: you doing?
- 19:56Speaker 5: Good morning? Mark, Good morning, Mary. This is what I'm
- 19:59Speaker 5: about this. This is one of the reasons why we
- 20:02Speaker 5: need Bruce Blakeman and why Bruce Blakeman is going to win.
- 20:06Speaker 5: Yesterday I heard his story and in keeping with wanting
- 20:10Speaker 5: to protect the illegal aliens that Joe Biden let in,
- 20:14Speaker 5: there was a story that an illegal alien raped the
- 20:18Speaker 5: five year old girl out in Long Island, and only
- 20:22Speaker 5: one local channel in Long Handel, Channel twelve gave it
- 20:27Speaker 5: about thirty seconds of airtime. None of the big three
- 20:31Speaker 5: stations in New York wanted to give it any airtime.
- 20:36Speaker 5: And I heard this story. This bum, what he did?
- 20:40Speaker 5: This poor little girl needed reconstructive surgery. He was babysitting
- 20:45Speaker 5: this girl, this bum. And what does it speak about
- 20:48Speaker 5: the parents? They were probably illegals too. What does it
- 20:54Speaker 5: speak about the parents? And the fake news?
- 20:56Speaker 3: They didn't they didn't say a thing about this. I
- 21:00Speaker 3: couldn't believe it. I heard. I heard the broadcast last
- 21:03Speaker 3: night of the TV person out the TV announce talking
- 21:08Speaker 3: telling the story. And this person was released. They caught
- 21:12Speaker 3: him in the country and the Biden administration released this guy.
- 21:18Speaker 3: That's why Bruce Blakelin is gonna be the next Governor of.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Vincent, great call, thanks for calling you. Coming up the
- 21:27Speaker 2: next dur We'll get to this. We'll get back to
- 21:30Speaker 2: that because and there's also the story of Loyola in Chicago.
- 21:33Speaker 2: This this student from Yorktown Heights, from Westchester shot executed
- 21:38Speaker 2: by an illegal an the illegal immigrant. All the things
- 21:42Speaker 2: that surrounded this story are unbelievable. We'll get to that
- 21:45Speaker 2: coming up in the next hour. And coming up next
- 21:48Speaker 2: the hunt for Steve Moore. I think you'll be here.
- 21:50Speaker 2: We'll talk to Steve Moore, the great Economist. Lots to
- 21:53Speaker 2: talk to him about oil, energy, stock market prices, economy,
- 21:59Speaker 2: all that stuff. We'll get to that coming up in
- 22:01Speaker 2: a moment on seven to ten wor.
- 22:03Speaker 1: So Mark Simone Show on sevent ten woo.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Well. Steve Moore, the Great Economists. You see him all
- 22:12Speaker 2: over television. You can read his columns and get his book,
- 22:15Speaker 2: The Trump Economic Miracle and excellent book, big best seller.
- 22:19Speaker 2: And he runs the Committee to Unleash Prosperity. Their Daily Briefing,
- 22:23Speaker 2: their news analysis. The Daily Briefing is the best there is.
- 22:26Speaker 2: You can get it. It'll come free to your email
- 22:28Speaker 2: every day. Just sign up for it. Go to Unleash
- 22:31Speaker 2: prosperity dot com. Unleash prosperity dot com. Steve Moore, how
- 22:36Speaker 2: you doing him?
- 22:38Speaker 4: Mark?
- 22:38Speaker 6: I'm doing pretty well, hoping, hoping that we get this
- 22:41Speaker 6: conflict over with in a victorious way in Iran so
- 22:44Speaker 6: we can get back to three dollars gallon gasoline. But
- 22:48Speaker 6: I'm doing pretty good about I think we're going to
- 22:52Speaker 6: see a change in direction in the economy back toward
- 22:55Speaker 6: the prosperity we had in Trump's first year. And that
- 23:00Speaker 6: just means, you know, we're going to see gas prices
- 23:02Speaker 6: fall again and we're going to bring inflation down. So
- 23:04Speaker 6: that's that's my read on things.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Yeah, now let me ask you a question. If the
- 23:08Speaker 2: price of oil goes up, Democrats yelling scream that this
- 23:10Speaker 2: the price of oil going on, worst thing you could
- 23:12Speaker 2: do to people. It's crushing them, it's killing Yet at
- 23:15Speaker 2: the same time they have done everything they can to
- 23:17Speaker 2: raise the price of your elector exactly.
- 23:22Speaker 6: Isn't that the truth? So they you know, they want
- 23:24Speaker 6: more taxes on oil. They tried to remember they had
- 23:26Speaker 6: a policy if they want to net zero, so we
- 23:29Speaker 6: would use no oil, gas or coal in this country,
- 23:32Speaker 6: which would have been Can you imagine how much we'd
- 23:34Speaker 6: be paying today for gasoline if they eliminated American output,
- 23:38Speaker 6: and they have not allowed drill but baby drill, we'd
- 23:41Speaker 6: be paying eight dollars a gallon for gas. So you're right,
- 23:44Speaker 6: there's a hypocrisy on the left. They keep saying, oh,
- 23:46Speaker 6: look at this Trump's calusing, you know, four dollar gallon
- 23:48Speaker 6: gasoline four fifty dollars. Wait a minute, you're the ones
- 23:51Speaker 6: who want You don't want people to use gas, You
- 23:53Speaker 6: don't want people to use oil. Anybody who thinks we
- 23:57Speaker 6: can we can power this country. You know, with all
- 24:01Speaker 6: the manufacturing we have with steel, the technology sector, our
- 24:06Speaker 6: farms use a lot of injury. We're going to do that.
- 24:08Speaker 6: We're a thirty trillion dollar economy.
- 24:09Speaker 2: We're going to.
- 24:10Speaker 6: Power all that with windmills.
- 24:13Speaker 2: But the other thing they did, everybody's electric bill was
- 24:15Speaker 2: one hundred bucks a month. Now it's four hundred because
- 24:17Speaker 2: of all their green scheme and regular climate. Yes, so
- 24:21Speaker 2: why don't they bring our electric bill back to one
- 24:22Speaker 2: hundred like it used to be.
- 24:24Speaker 6: Yeah, and by the way, if there's a good comparison,
- 24:27Speaker 6: if you look at red states that use you know,
- 24:30Speaker 6: you know, coal and oil and gas, and nuclear power.
- 24:34Speaker 6: They pay on average, half as much for electric power
- 24:37Speaker 6: than New York and California and New Jersey and my
- 24:41Speaker 6: home state of Illinois. By the way, California is an
- 24:44Speaker 6: especially interesting state because that that has the highest gas
- 24:47Speaker 6: taxes in the country. They pay like a dollar fifty
- 24:50Speaker 6: more per gallon gas than every other resident of every
- 24:53Speaker 6: other state. And yet there's no state in the country
- 24:56Speaker 6: that has more oil and gas than California, maybe other
- 24:58Speaker 6: than Texas. It's not like they don't have it. They
- 25:02Speaker 6: have abundance of resources, they just won't go after it.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm trying to Steve Moore. Hey, this is a
- 25:08Speaker 2: crazy mayor. Mom, Donnie, you know, he gets elected, I'll
- 25:11Speaker 2: tax the rich, tax the ridge. Tex Well, now that
- 25:13Speaker 2: he's putting together some of these tax plans, they also
- 25:16Speaker 2: seemed to tax the middle class, like crazy, how did
- 25:18Speaker 2: that happen.
- 25:20Speaker 6: Well, let's the you know, a joke about the robber,
- 25:24Speaker 6: you know, rob Banks, and he said that's where the
- 25:26Speaker 6: money is. The truth is the money. The money is
- 25:30Speaker 6: in the hands of the middle class. This is a
- 25:31Speaker 6: middle class country. So if you want to if you
- 25:34Speaker 6: want to have a social system, you're going to have
- 25:37Speaker 6: to go after people make between seventy five and two
- 25:40Speaker 6: hundred thousand dollars, and that's where the mass number of
- 25:44Speaker 6: Americans are. You know, there aren't that many billionaires in
- 25:47Speaker 6: the country that you can flee, so that's why they
- 25:50Speaker 6: always go after the middle class.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it's just awful, you know. And also he's
- 25:55Speaker 2: talking about lowering the estate tax. You know, you don't
- 25:57Speaker 2: pay any estate tex up to seven million. He's going
- 26:00Speaker 2: to bring that down to seven hundred thousand. So most families,
- 26:03Speaker 2: if you want to the killer, yeah, kill her.
- 26:06Speaker 6: You know what will happen is people we're already seeing this.
- 26:09Speaker 6: You know, we're seeing millionaires and billionaires moving out of
- 26:12Speaker 6: New York, they're moving out of California, they're moving out
- 26:15Speaker 6: of the highest tax states. And you could go to
- 26:17Speaker 6: you in others. Why would you die in New York.
- 26:20Speaker 6: Let's say you have fifty million dollars, Why would you
- 26:23Speaker 6: die in New York and then pass on, you know,
- 26:27Speaker 6: half of that money to the state and the federal government.
- 26:29Speaker 6: When if you die in Texas, you're not going to
- 26:31Speaker 6: pay any estate tax.
- 26:33Speaker 2: But also seven hundred thousand, that's you know, you wouldn't
- 26:36Speaker 2: be able to leave your house.
- 26:37Speaker 6: To the middle. Yeah, exactly. That's that's most middle income people.
- 26:42Speaker 6: You know, upper middle income people, after you know, forty
- 26:47Speaker 6: years of working have amassed more than seven hundred thousand
- 26:50Speaker 6: dollars in well, I mean that's a house. By the way.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate Steve Moore. You know, all the all
- 26:55Speaker 2: these New Yorkers are moving to Florida. They're all moving
- 26:57Speaker 2: to Florida. So I noticed that in Palm Beach they
- 27:00Speaker 2: just elected a Democrat to this legislature. Miami just elected
- 27:05Speaker 2: a Democrat mayor. Is this the result of all these
- 27:08Speaker 2: New Yorkers moving there, They' getting these Democrats elected everywhere.
- 27:11Speaker 6: Well, I think there's just a backlashers, you know, against
- 27:14Speaker 6: Republicans right now. People are angry about prices. The war
- 27:17Speaker 6: is not that popular. But you know, Trump Trump is
- 27:21Speaker 6: is rebuilding the American economy. He's putting America first. We're
- 27:25Speaker 6: doing incredible things on deregulating economy. We're seeing you know, drill, baby, drill.
- 27:32Speaker 6: Thank god, we're doing that. That's that's we're not By
- 27:35Speaker 6: the way, did you know this, We the United States now,
- 27:37Speaker 6: for the first time in fifty years, we're producing more
- 27:41Speaker 6: energy than we consume. So we're actually a net exporter
- 27:45Speaker 6: of oil and gas. We are also, you may, I
- 27:49Speaker 6: don't know how many of your listeners are aware of this,
- 27:51Speaker 6: because I was surprised when I saw the statistics the
- 27:53Speaker 6: United States. Now, actually we are a net exporter of
- 27:57Speaker 6: oil and gas. In other words, we produce more and
- 28:00Speaker 6: we're the number one country in production. We surpassed Saudi
- 28:04Speaker 6: Arabia and Russia. We are the number one powerhouse and energy.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Wow. So yeah, when it comes to the Straits of
- 28:10Speaker 2: Horror Moose, we don't need any of that oil coming
- 28:12Speaker 2: out of there. It's notations.
- 28:14Speaker 6: We need to realize that that. You know, I'm old
- 28:16Speaker 6: enough for Member Mark. You know, when I was a teenager,
- 28:18Speaker 6: young teenager in the seventies, and my parents would would
- 28:22Speaker 6: pack us up at seven in the morning in February
- 28:25Speaker 6: and we get in the state old station wagon. I
- 28:27Speaker 6: bet a lot of your listeners don't even notice station.
- 28:30Speaker 6: And then we would we would get we would drive
- 28:32Speaker 6: to the little local service station. We'd be ninth in
- 28:35Speaker 6: line to get gas because we had gas lines back then,
- 28:37Speaker 6: and that was because of the Arab you know, the
- 28:40Speaker 6: Iranian hassis situation. And all we've seen is these flare
- 28:43Speaker 6: ups in the Middle East all the time, and then
- 28:46Speaker 6: we get these big spikes and oil. So what we
- 28:48Speaker 6: need to do is really make sure that we are
- 28:51Speaker 6: no longer dependent on the Middle East for energy because
- 28:55Speaker 6: they're not a reliable source.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Yeah, well, this could be over in a few weeks
- 28:59Speaker 2: and then uh and what what what if?
- 29:02Speaker 6: By the way, once that, once that happens, by the way, Mark,
- 29:05Speaker 6: I guarantee you within three or four weeks, we'll be
- 29:08Speaker 6: back to the gas prices which were a record loan
- 29:11Speaker 6: wonder Trump when you adjust for inflation. So Trump had
- 29:14Speaker 6: us on an incredible course. Because of the disruption in
- 29:16Speaker 6: the Middle East, prices spike, But I'm hearing to tell
- 29:19Speaker 6: you they're going to come right back down when we
- 29:21Speaker 6: get this result.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, Steve Moore, the hotline you put out every day,
- 29:27Speaker 2: they just go to Unleash Prosperity dot com. You can
- 29:29Speaker 2: sign up for it. Yesterday a great story about Fetterman.
- 29:32Speaker 2: You know, the Democrats are so far to the left,
- 29:34Speaker 2: so yeah, but uh huh is Fetterman the guy that
- 29:37Speaker 2: maybe in two years will lead them back to the middle.
- 29:41Speaker 6: Well, you know, Federman is sounding more and more rational,
- 29:45Speaker 6: and he's calling out Democrats saying just because Donald trumpest
- 29:48Speaker 6: wants to do something doesn't mean its evil. I mean,
- 29:51Speaker 6: there's so there's so much Trump arrangement syndrome on the
- 29:54Speaker 6: on the left that you know, he's calling out his
- 29:57Speaker 6: Democrats saying, look, we can agree with Trump on something,
- 30:00Speaker 6: but you know the Charlie Chuckie Schumer and the Democratic
- 30:07Speaker 6: leaders in the House, they're just reflexively against everything Trump
- 30:10Speaker 6: wants to do. And they're the ones, by the way,
- 30:12Speaker 6: that have created these long lines in the airports because
- 30:15Speaker 6: they want to create havoc and mayhem because they think
- 30:18Speaker 6: that hurts Trump. I mean, how cynical is that to
- 30:20Speaker 6: make people wait two hours in line at the airport
- 30:23Speaker 6: so they can score political points.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're right now, you're a guy that flies
- 30:30Speaker 2: all over the place. Yeah, hopefully you won't have to
- 30:33Speaker 2: go through that this week.
- 30:34Speaker 6: But well, you know, I'm going to may say one
- 30:36Speaker 6: last thing on the way out, mark I I because
- 30:39Speaker 6: I do travel a lot. I'm on the road a
- 30:40Speaker 6: couple days a week, and I'm flying through, in and
- 30:43Speaker 6: out of airports all the time. And by the way,
- 30:45Speaker 6: I haven't really confronted too many problems except for one airport.
- 30:48Speaker 6: But when I see the TSA agents, I go up
- 30:51Speaker 6: and I shake their hand and say thank you, thank
- 30:52Speaker 6: you for working. There are a lot of dedicated TSA
- 30:55Speaker 6: agents who are working without a paycheck now for almost
- 30:58Speaker 6: a month, and they're the hero here. And the Democrats
- 31:01Speaker 6: and the Congress who want to create the chaos there
- 31:04Speaker 6: are the villains in this and there's no reason. By
- 31:06Speaker 6: the way, I'm also in favor of letting, you know,
- 31:09Speaker 6: ICE agents help out at the reports. That's reducing lines.
- 31:12Speaker 6: But the Democrats are against that too.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Oh hey, I want the ICE ations to go to
- 31:15Speaker 2: motor vehicles next take over that line.
- 31:18Speaker 6: That's a great idea, Mark, I love it.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Well. Steve Moore, Hey, everybody gets Steve Moore's book, The
- 31:24Speaker 2: Trump Economic Miracle. You'll really love it. And then sign

- 32:09Speaker 2: and he'll be with us in the next hour here
- 32:11Speaker 2: on seven to ten wr.
- 32:13Speaker 7: Mark Simone, Well, hey, it's opening day to day New
- 32:22Speaker 7: York Mets Opening Day, City Field.
- 32:25Speaker 2: It'll be great. The Yankees Opening Day last night they
- 32:28Speaker 2: won shut out and it was on Netflix. It's gonna
- 32:32Speaker 2: be that way for the next few years. Opening Day
- 32:35Speaker 2: only on Netflix. The Mets, I think you can see
- 32:38Speaker 2: on TV today regular TV, but that's today. It's it's
- 32:43Speaker 2: the Remember that horrible winter. It's over, it's spring. It's
- 32:47Speaker 2: practically Easter, which means it's practically Memorial Day. Then it's
- 32:52Speaker 2: practically the fourth of July, and then it'll be Labor Day,
- 32:55Speaker 2: and then then we'll be back to anyway. And it's
- 32:57Speaker 2: a big year. It's not just Fourth of July celebration.
- 33:00Speaker 2: It's gonna be the two hundred and fiftieth Birthday of America.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Massive celebrations of America all summer. It's going to be
- 33:07Speaker 2: a very very tough time for Democrats. They do not
- 33:11Speaker 2: like this. They don't like Fourth of July. They don't
- 33:13Speaker 2: like flags, they don't like hot dogs and fire. They
- 33:16Speaker 2: don't like that stuff celebrating America. Ooh, they don't like that.
- 33:19Speaker 2: It's gonna be a tough summer for them. Well, be
- 33:21Speaker 2: back after the news. A lot to get to coming
- 33:23Speaker 2: up on seven to ten. Wo
