- 0:00Hello, dear leap Frogs. I hope you're having a lovely start to your
- 0:03summer. No new episode of Gateleapers this week. We're back next week when
- 0:08we'll be leaping into the Zelda fandom for a series of games and challenges.
- 0:13It's look, it's a classic. I cannot wait for you to hear this
- 0:16one. But until then, we have a little collection of clips for you
- 0:20from our monthly Patreon episode. As Flax, the cat walks completely across the
- 0:26desk and yep, is he going to get right into the mic? Maybe
- 0:30he's thinking about it now, He's just going to have a rest in the
- 0:33most awkward of places in my workspace. But he's a good boy, He's
- 0:38a sweet man. So yeah. This is just a handful of clips from
- 0:42our monthly Patreon bonus episode from around September October last year. And if you'd
- 0:48like to hear full bonus episodes, head on over to patreon dot com.
- 0:52Forward slash Gateleapers supporters for the price of a Starbucks per month. That's right,
- 0:57I'm just naming brands now, I'm just outing brands for being overpriced.
- 1:02But as I always say, no worries. If not just enjoy these bonus
- 1:06clips and then come back next week for a full fandom game show. And
- 1:10before I play those clips, just thank you so much to everyone who took
- 1:12a part in the last batch of episodes. It's been one of my favorite
- 1:18runs. Yeah, we've met new people, hooked up with old friends,
- 1:23had some of our regular hilarious players on the podcast, and even connected with
- 1:27another indie panel show podcast along the way. So yeah, it's been a
- 1:30fantastic few months for us here at gate Leapers. I'm sure it'll be another
- 1:36fantastic handful of months ahead. Rate subscribe all that good stuff. I don't
- 1:41think I'll say anything on an outro. I don't think there's any need to
- 1:45just enjoy this looser version of Jason Audre and myself. Oh he's off,
- 1:51flaxes off, goodbye. Nope, you can't climb over that. You'll stop
- 1:55the recording. Okay. This first YouTube comment comes from use a Morpheus,
- 2:00not that one, and this comment simply says calling it now Nori is suron
- 2:08Adam. Yeah, so um, this is Rings of Power. This is
- 2:15the Rings of Power, Amazon's big budget return to Middle Earth and prequel to
- 2:19the Lord of the Rings. Trilogy. It's all about how Elrond became Elrond,
- 2:23Gladriel became Gladriel, and I guess how Nori became something like. Yeah,
- 2:30it's a big swing. I love big swings. Um they're wrong,
- 2:37but yeah, in the show, is he like he was there. I
- 2:43think we're all we're all caught up, right, we've all seen Well I'm
- 2:46not caught up, but I did. I did see the thing that the
- 2:47Stranger might be suron. Some people think that. Some people think that,
- 2:52but also he was in a flashback like he was a guy. Yeah,
- 2:55and he was there. I do think we've seen Saron, but I don't
- 2:58think it's the Strange. Yeah. I think there's three big contenders, including
- 3:02the Stranger. I think there's two big contenders because I don't think it's him.
- 3:07Yeah, it doesn't make well like I because he has like demon flashbacks
- 3:10is whatever, and he's like evil and he's like am I good or am
- 3:15I bad? Yeah, it's just because he comes from the Valor. Okay,
- 3:19this is gonna get nerdy. We should preface this. I love that
- 3:21the next fifteen minutes probably gonna I can do this with Marvel. So I
- 3:23love this m Yeah, I guess one of the things the show is doing
- 3:27well to build off of what we were just talking about, is they other
- 3:30than like Galadriel, el Ron, the big hitters. They're sort of making
- 3:35you go, oh, who's this guy right? Who's this guy? Right?
- 3:38And even when it felt like they were going to reveal Suron at the
- 3:40end of episode five, it was still delivered in a way that was like,
- 3:45this guy could be Saron, or he might just be he might be
- 3:46the mouth of Suron, he might be one of the ring rights. There's
- 3:50two ways I could take that, and I don't know which way I'm supposed
- 3:53to, but I'm along for the ride. Yeah, it's it's that it's
- 3:58that part where we're in kind of unmarked territory, right in the sense that,
- 4:03like the concepts and ideas that will be in the show we're all alluded
- 4:10to, but in like textbook form and like dates, essentially this in this
- 4:14year, this event happened. So there's a lot of breathing room for speculation
- 4:18and departures from the cannon, which makes it interesting a little bit more so
- 4:24than another fantasy related show that's ongoing right now. Right. The thing about
- 4:29that, though, is I love Lord of the Rings. I grew up
- 4:32with it, but unlike you guys, I'm not as big of a nerd
- 4:35and into the lore, and so this is my first thing where it's like
- 4:40and then Lease of Hell and both another. You know, Yeah, it's
- 4:49just like, I've so fucking loss on the rules of what's going on that
- 4:56sure whatever. Yeah, the other fantasy thing you were alluding to is House
- 4:59of the Drive, which of course is ongoing. I know a lot of
- 5:01the online discourse at the moment is all about pitting the two of them against
- 5:06each other and being like, ah, this one is based off of a
- 5:10textbook and this one is based off of letters that were written by a guy.
- 5:14So both of them are fan fiction, but let's go. Yeah,
- 5:15and I'm just like I I think I'm enjoying them both more because they're on
- 5:20at the same time, because they each give me different different is very high
- 5:28fantastical. There's like gods and there's people flowing down on comments and people are
- 5:31being like, I don't know if he would really go back to heaven just
- 5:34to be shot down a media or again, like yeah, those are discussions
- 5:38that I'm seeing and I'm like, what the fuck, that's just as for
- 5:41you. It's very classic fantasy, like good versus Evil, where this Game
- 5:45of Thrones is very yeah characters, yeah, yeah, and the gray I
- 5:53made a joke about this on Twitter, where where the House of the Dragons
- 5:56is a little more digestible because it feels like a family drama reality. Yes,
- 6:00it's keeping up with the targeary. I read I have a friend at
- 6:03work who didn't watch Game of thro watched about half of Game of Thrones,
- 6:08but then got into House of the Dragon because they were told watch it like
- 6:13a soap opera. Yeah, and we have so many phenomenal conversations, But
- 6:17what do you think they meant by that? I read an amazing I read
- 6:23a fantastic think piece about both of the shows which I can't remember the name
- 6:27of the author, sorry, m but it talked about how one of them
- 6:31nourishes the more soap opera water cooler moment like discussion thing House of the Dragon
- 6:36and the other ones more just like Cauzy, sink back into the imagery and
- 6:42absorb yourself in high fantasy there and you're not gonna end up talking about it
- 6:46as much. Yeah, that's my favorite part of watching Wings of Power is
- 6:49like going back. There's some moments where I'm like, all right, there's
- 6:53enough, and he's stocking and he's walking. Yeah, yeah, God is
- 6:58that comfortable. Yeah. But there's other moments too where I'm like, oh
- 7:00wow, like we're back feeling like hobbits, and oh wow, it's the
- 7:03it's the high we have rules and we're of elves and you know, and
- 7:09then and then it's the also the super cool architecture and hard working dwarves and
- 7:14and I'm like, oh, what what up? Teenth like levels of that
- 7:17flavor essentially, you know. Yeah, where a House of Dragons dilutes it,
- 7:20it's like there's a big dragon and you're like, holy shit, there's
- 7:24a big dragon. Like in Lord of the Rings of a big dragon came
- 7:26on, You're like, oh my god. Yeah, he's in the air
- 7:30and there's a little people. Oh the flowing nature of it all because it's
- 7:33just not as common. Yeah. Yeah. If if a dragon shows up
- 7:38in House the Dragon, it's because someone's made a political move, and it's
- 7:41what is the drama behind that, what's the family drama behind If it happens
- 7:45in Lord of the Rings, it's like, motherfucker it's gonna bunt down my
- 7:48house. Mind some columns. That's how fire orgs. This next comments comes
- 7:57from us A great tossing salad. That's good. OMG, love this cooking
- 8:05show so much. It's so cute. It's my favorite background show. Black
- 8:11Oh yep, Jason, just bear, No, just joking, it's not
- 8:15cute. Great British bake Off kids version or just great. Yeah, it's
- 8:18just great. It's just great brit I watched the kids version, oh yeah,
- 8:22because we remember rother were clickbaited. We we we got was it Paul
- 8:28Hollywood screaming and it was kids screaming but cakes because we got clickbaited because Netflix
- 8:35is a thing where they cycle like a cliff coast when you do it bated,
- 8:37Oh my god, and the cliff baited uh and then they it was
- 8:43like a small British child. Yeah it's it's it's the usual beats of bake
- 8:46off. They're like, I'm gonna do a vanilla fake a pan of of
- 8:52low bread and that sounds like yeah. But we got clickbaited because there was
- 8:56someone dropped their cake and it was just a small British child just going,
- 9:01oh my god, my father, were just like, oh, yeah,
- 9:07we forgot they sound like that when they're children. Yeah. But the sucky
- 9:11ass part about that is you watch the show and it's much of fucking fourteen
- 9:13year old and maybe like a ten year olds. The fourteen year olds happen
- 9:18at Banta, and it's like they're the same level ish. It's not like
- 9:22really shitty cakes most of well they are like shitty CONVERTI of the aults,
- 9:26but it's not like bad cakes and they're like, oh, this is wonderful.
- 9:30The sponge is so light and stuff like that. You know, it's
- 9:33not as cute as it could be as well. It's no old enough sure
- 9:37sure classic covered on this podcast. Yeah, yeah, bake Off is back.
- 9:41You're absolutely right. This has mentioned this is the Great British bake Off,
- 9:43all the Great British Baking Show, because apparently Americans have never heard of
- 9:48a cookoff. Apparently that's not something that exists in America. So I don't
- 9:52know why this has happened. Yeah, but I've always called it bake off.
- 9:56Thank you. Yeah, you respect our culture. Yeah, I think
- 9:58it's because they call it bake off, right, Yeah, it's bake off
- 10:01when they're in it on Netflix it's the Great British Baking Show. It's so
- 10:05weird because I think most people when they look for it are like, oh,
- 10:09it's the Great British Baking Show, but when they're referring to it shortened.
- 10:15Yeah. Our cultures have always had division, you know. Yeah,
- 10:18eggplant aubergine, Yeah, teenage muntan Ninja turtles, teenage muntan hero turtles.
- 10:24Yeah, exactly. What do you call oregano again? Cilantro? No,
- 10:30it's a regane. Cilantro is corianderander. That's right, that's right. What
- 10:35the fuck is fennel? Is that Celery? I just found that out.
- 10:39Fennel is fenl in the Celery family. But I saw someone they were like,
- 10:43you'll need some fennel, and they cut it up and it does look
- 10:46a bit like Celery. Oh so it is a different thing, is it.
- 10:48Yeah, it's different, Thank god. I think it's halfway between Celery
- 10:54and buck CHOI. I've always said England is the halfway point between China and
- 10:58Yeah, I mean geograph. That's how our show is formatic, you say,
- 11:05between me and Adre. This next one comes from user number one,
- 11:13Pikachu hater. Oh that's a Mimi qu account. Yeah, an actual mimic
- 11:20you got that. I played some great Pokemon. Do you know what MOVIEQ
- 11:26is? Mimic mimic you? Yeah, yeah, yeah, like a like
- 11:31a ditto You're gonna love so, Mimi. This isn't a state, No,
- 11:33it's it's staying okay. Mimi Q is a Pokemon that dresses up like
- 11:37Pikachu, and it's supposed to be ugly underneath that costume it has, but
- 11:41it dresses up as Pikachu because everyone loves Pikachi. It just wants to be
- 11:45loved. It's, you know, all of the shitty Pikachu spinoffs that they
- 11:48release every year, like plus Sole and Minen and all that, like would
- 11:52you fucking Touch to Tomorrow? Sucks and they they all suck. But Mimi
- 11:58Mimic You is actually a good spin on that whole Peak two thing for sure.
- 12:01I like mimic You and the comments is just to be a fly on
- 12:07the wall when that fight broke out backstage, I pay nine months to see
- 12:11that, Adam. Yes, Audra, don't worry darling. This could apply
- 12:18to don't worry darling, We've crossed that one up. I'm going to say
- 12:22them all out brawl backstage. Yes, this is of course a pro wrestling
- 12:28check in with This is a fandom where something crazy and very real and traumatic
- 12:33happens every month, but no one pays attention because it's pro wrestling and everyone
- 12:37just assumes it's fake. Yeah. Draw to continue our recurring segment, you
- 12:41now have sixty seconds to tell us all about the backstage brawl that took place
- 12:46a w at the beginning of the month. Your time starts now. Cmpunk
- 12:52had a press conference. There was a press conference where he just kept getting
- 12:56ticked off about some guy he didn't like. Was very belligerent the entire press
- 13:01conference. He said some shit about some other people who work for the company,
- 13:03pretty high up. So they come in with like the head of legal
- 13:07and some other big wigs, some one other time of wrestler, right,
- 13:11big wigs something around. Does it stop ruining my Sorry? Sorry? They
- 13:16come into his dressing room because in the press conference, he's like, they
- 13:18have a problem with me, Come fucking luck to me. So that's not
- 13:24what he sounds like. He brought legally. They came in his best friend
- 13:26and him attacked them somehow. We don't really know the details. They got
- 13:33in a big fighting Penny Omega had to carry out see him Punk's dog because
- 13:37it was a situation the dogs man is Larry's shirts. Steel bit Kenny Omega
- 13:46a week ago. I didn't know who a Steel was. I still don't,
- 13:48but he bit Kenny Omega. They fought, and now everyone is suspended.
- 13:54That's your time. These have gotten better. Yeah, No, that
- 14:01that was you know what? That was surprisingly accurate, Ultra that was that
- 14:03was very spot on for the madness of it all. This is crucially a
- 14:07pro wrestling event that didn't have cameras on it. No one knows really what
- 14:11happened because this backstage. Yes, certain people have been fired, certain people
- 14:16have been suspended. Is WW or what is this? This is aw This
- 14:20is all elite wrestling. You know where Orange Cassidy is and this is Cmpunk
- 14:26is a legend who stepped away from wrestling for seven years. Yeah, last
- 14:30month we discussed that he yea had a disgruntled employee situation. Yeah, he
- 14:35came back and then it had a good nine months and then just the last
- 14:39month he went a little crazy. I think it's because one specific wrestler under
- 14:46Punk's terms went into business for himself and was like, Hey, you know
- 14:48all that stuff you say about unions, you're a fucking hypocrite and is there
- 14:52a wrestling union. There's not. That's what this wrestler was talking about.
- 14:56Was like, well, you talk about it so much, why didn't you?
- 15:00Yeah, you're one of the most powerful pro wrestlers. And Punk didn't
- 15:03like that, and so he started shooting on people in this press conference where
- 15:07he was like, he said the line I work with fucking children while shoving
- 15:11shoveling a cupcake into his mouth. Yeah, that a man who's not able
- 15:16to see his own irony. I grew up on this guy. This guy
- 15:20was like one of my idols. He was like one of my heroes in
- 15:22pro wrestling. But and I'll be honest as someone who's part of a union
- 15:26now, not an accurate tally union's work yet. I want to just make
- 15:33a clear cool let the meat cake. Yeah, yeah, the I grew
- 15:37up on this guy. I loved him. The heartbreaking thing is that in
- 15:41the last seven years, when he's been away from wrestling, myself and all
- 15:45of his other fans have grown up. We've learned things about the world.
- 15:48We're no longer teenage boys. Punk has not grown up. He's a forty
- 15:52two year old teenage boy. He is not a grown up. He got
- 15:56really really and I'm going to use this accurate. He got really really triggered
- 16:02about statements that were made about him that were kind of true, like he
- 16:08hasn't really done much for like unionization or workers right wild about it. Yeah,
- 16:15and so he so he goes on a big rent at all of his
- 16:18employees and then as Aldre so very accurately accurately described, no, no,
- 16:22you did you. It was very accurate. The backstage bowl was exactly that.
- 16:26It was. The young Bucks and Kenny Omega with a bunch of legal
- 16:30people knock on the door of Cmpunk's locker room and then cmpunk just starts punching
- 16:33them, and then Larry Larry the dog, c Umpunk's dog is scared,
- 16:37so Kenny Omega tries to carry him out, but then a steel bites him.
- 16:41Bites bites Kenny Omega, and Steel is a wrestler, a dog.
- 16:45He's a no's such a good dog name at one named blue Cheese. A
- 16:56steel is Cmpunk's friend and produce certain form a wrestler. Kenny Omega made his
- 17:02first public appearance a few days ago there was a huge bite mark on Kenny
- 17:06Omega's forearm, and it makes me think that Kenny Omega must have had the
- 17:10guy in a headlock which made him bite him because of the position of where
- 17:12the bight is. It's all getting very you know that it's always sunny meme
- 17:17of like Charlie like with the bags under his eyes pointing peppis Sylvia, Pepi
- 17:22Sylvia. Yeah, that's what the wrestling fandom is currently like, is trying
- 17:26to piece together the little pieces of information. What we do know is that
- 17:30the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, but CM punk said, knock on my
- 17:34door and talk to me about it. And so the young the Young Bucks
- 17:40got legal, got the head of legal because CM punk said some things that
- 17:44were untrue. Is it libel or slander? Slander probably because it's not a
- 17:49legal situation, so it's slander. So he did slander against them, and
- 17:56so they got the head of legal and they went and knocked on his door
- 17:57and then all help, I'll put it into let's put it into context of
- 18:03a different fandom, because pro wrestling is so isolated. This is this is
- 18:07like if who's the guy who plays Cassie and Nando Luna. It's like if
- 18:11Diego Luna was at a press conference with Bob Iger and just started saying,
- 18:18every one of my cast member is a fucking child. They're all fucking children.
- 18:22I hate working with all of them. Yeah, and then James Earl
- 18:25Jones picks up a dog. There you go, and then Petro Pasco just
- 18:27starts biting up. Yeah, it's like that. This first YouTube comments comes
- 18:34from user James Corden's Lingerie try on Hole vlog. Didn't you hear the rest?
- 18:42I just thought funny, little man. He is a horrible little a
- 18:48horrible little man. Yeah, he's a horrible little creton of a man.
- 18:55Oh gosh, I think so. Yeah, he's a cretan of a man.
- 19:00Because his old yolk omelet had a bit of egg white in it,
- 19:03I think that was that was what he complained about. An all yolk omelet.
- 19:07That's an old stroll. That's a heart attack on a plane yoke.
- 19:11It can't taste better, right, No? Like, I know no one
- 19:15likes the egg whites? Are you a health not? I don't like the
- 19:18yolk. You don't like the yolk? Yeah? I don't like a running
- 19:22yolk. I mean contextually, yeah, but every time I like, I
- 19:25have egg white omelets all the time. Wow, I like a little bit
- 19:29of both. The key thing. No one apart from James Colden's yes,
- 19:36yes, that's the only wrong answer. Yeah. Yeah, anyway, that's
- 19:40not the big news story or anything. That's sorry. Here is the YouTube
- 19:44comment. The entire movie was like one big action sequence, no story,
- 19:48didn't care about the characters, just how superhero movie should be black? Yes,
- 19:55Jason, boy, oh boy, was that a movie that was black?
- 20:00Yes? Yeah, this this was black Adam Dwayne the Rock Johnson's right
- 20:03into superhero movies as the antihero of the DCU and the person who was originally
- 20:08with white eve before eleventh century Europeans wrote him out of the Bible. They
- 20:15have a white Adam in comics. Now, I think that's just a strange
- 20:18name. It's just a strange name. Yeah, don't put we don't eat
- 20:22to put white thing. There's already been too much of that in history.
- 20:26Yeah. Yeah, but yeah, that was truly that was as a comment
- 20:30stated, what a movie that was. Yeah, it's the most movie movie
- 20:34I think I've seen in a while. And the fact that it's it's not
- 20:38as bad as people say. I just want to clarify that if you don't
- 20:41like superhero movies, it's bad. But if you like superhero movies, it's
- 20:45not the worst that they've come out with sure by far. Yeah, if
- 20:49it's a Dwayne the Rock Johnson project, you're going to expect gratuitous action.
- 20:56Yes, like to and I say gratuitous action, not in the sense that
- 21:00there's bloody violence, but it's just gonna be so much. It's it's so
- 21:04much. He's a thick boy. By the way, A lot of those,
- 21:08even if they're jacked, A lot of the superhero like costumes have some
- 21:11a little bit of padding and so on and so forth. I think he
- 21:14specifically requested no padding on a suit. And Jesus Christ, he's ginormous.
- 21:19Is a big man. Oh my god, he's so thick. Um.
- 21:22But yeah, like, you're absolutely right, gratuitious action. What more do
- 21:25you want? It's a superhero movie. I think the main criticisms here that
- 21:29are coming out is like one, Dwayne the Rock Johnson was casted in this
- 21:33role when I was like in high school at the LEAs. Yeah, it's
- 21:36been a while, hasn't it's like it's crazy and and and just to be
- 21:40specific for people like twenty twelve era ish, like it's a long time coming.
- 21:47Yeah, it's which is crazy that it's been developing that long. And
- 21:51it feels it because it's like, if this movie came out when Avengers came
- 21:53out, it probably would have had better reception. But it's done nothing new.
- 21:57But again, it's it's just the movie. I thought comic book visuals
- 22:02wise, and actually combook accuracy wise, it was pretty good. And so
- 22:04this movie is the most middle of the road, Like if there's a huge
- 22:08list of every single combook movie ever, wherever the middle is this smack dab
- 22:14in the middle, if it's not an odd number moving upper little, you
- 22:17know, upper down, whatever you feel like, I don't really care.
- 22:18Yeah that part, there's a little bit of room for personal preference. Yeah,
- 22:22but it's it's right, smack dab in the middle man somewhere between the
- 22:26first X Men movie in two thousand and one, yeah and Captain Marvel.
- 22:34It's somewhere between those. Yeah. Yeah, sure, sure, so it
- 22:38was sure how do you boil Boy was in a movie? Yeah, And
- 22:44I think that's not just superhero movies. I feel like that's the Rocks movies.
- 22:48That's true. I think that's less because superhero movies to me are either
- 22:51like really good, like a groundbreaking thing that's like, oh yeah, that
- 22:55did actually move things forward? Yeah, or just they do the formula and
- 22:57they stick to it right, which it sounds like that's what this was.
- 23:00But the Rock movies, more than any other star in the world, are
- 23:04just Yep, he can't act, but boy, boy does he look good.
- 23:08He looks amazing on screen. Him jump from a thing to another thing.
- 23:14I'm just thinking about that skyscraper scraper. Yeah, okay, boy wow.
- 23:19Look at him sail through the air. Look at him muscularly sweaty in
- 23:23a khaki suit in the jungle. Which movies that I don't know. Every
- 23:29single one of his movies is a perfect sixty three percent on. That's the
- 23:33kind of movies he makes. Yeah, okay. This next YouTube comment comes
- 23:38from user Sigma Balls doesn't make any sense. God is very close to Ligma
- 23:48Balls, you know, but not quite still good enough And Sigma Bowles had
- 23:52to say, it's exactly the same as the first one, but with a
- 23:56two at the end. Eight out of the flack. That's and Sigma balls
- 24:03and also gave it away it's overwatched two. Yes, this is of course
- 24:06overwatched two. There's no single player campaign, there are no free skins,
- 24:10and most of the heroes are the same. Turns out, what everyone was
- 24:14waiting for with Overwatch was just a fresh injection of players and interest and it
- 24:18worked. And now I've played Overwatch, so yes, it worked. We
- 24:21played a lot overwatched together. It was actually the most fun I've had playing
- 24:23Overwatch. We got six, five people together. Five we have five friends.
- 24:27Guys, like, that's crazy, Well, three friends because there are
- 24:33two of you. Yeah, we're friends, you each have. We have
- 24:38five friends and they're all watched. They're all listening to this podcast. Sorry.
- 24:45The amazing thing is we had five friends who play overwatched together. Yes,
- 24:48yes, I think. Um, everything about that comment has rung absolutely
- 24:52true in the sense that like, it's just it's a it's a it's a
- 24:56trend as well, and Overwatch and Blizzard typically get a lot of flak because
- 25:00are big company and they deserve it. Yeah, but this is nothing new.
- 25:03Fortnite two did it where it was literally the same fucking game. Just
- 25:07you hat to update like two gigabytes of something I don't know, squish,
- 25:11Yeah, fall guys did it. We've got to add the full gaze.
- 25:17Yeah. And they replaced the whole system with battle Pass because yes, for
- 25:19those of who weren't aware of the of Overwatch when it first came out,
- 25:23it was a big part of like loop boxes and this idea of gambling for
- 25:30children, because it's a very kid friendly game. And so now we've replaced
- 25:34one. Uh, it's replacing piece of gambling with purchasing with purchasing, and
- 25:41it's like, I think both are bad. Both are bad. This way,
- 25:45you do get a free game initially, that's good, yes, um.
- 25:48And then the battle pass is optional. Yes, So that from my
- 25:52perspective is like a millennial who doesn't really care about skins. Yes, fine,
- 25:56and a new overwatched player as well Overwatched two player. Yeah. I
- 26:00was talking to a couple of my friends who played Overwatch from the beginning.
- 26:03We used to get skins for free, even though it was gambling. We
- 26:07got a lot of boxes for free. I hardly ever needed to drop that
- 26:11for skins that I liked or was cool enough. Absolutely right, No single
- 26:17player, because that was the whole point of Overwatched two that was announced two
- 26:19years ago, and they've had two years to develop things and do things,
- 26:22and this is what they came up with because it is just the same game.
- 26:26It is absolutely the same game. Nothing has changed. In fact,
- 26:29some of the hero reworks are things that have been happening. Heroes have reworked
- 26:33from the get go, because in an online multiplayer game that's very competitive,
- 26:37there's this thing called them like the meta game, which is what are the
- 26:41current strategies that are working very well, So that's being changed constantly in a
- 26:45in a type of service game like this. Yes, and so it's a
- 26:48game that my friend had described as it hurts so good. I fucking hate
- 26:56this game. It really breaks my mental health down tremendously and rapid. Uh.
- 27:04Yeah, it's got colorful, it's got a nice cast of character as
- 27:07the design and world is cute. I fucking hate playing by myself. Thank
- 27:12God for Matt. I think I've only ever going to play it with him
- 27:15and his friends. Honestly, the majority of them are his friends as well.
- 27:18I just want to note that real friends. Now, Yeah, I
- 27:22am with you on that. I think I will not pick it up on
- 27:26my own. Yes, but if I can get one or two at least
- 27:29people, and I'll hop on and play it because it is Team games are
- 27:33fun, like multiplayer games where you're calling out strategies, Yeah, using teamwork
- 27:36to beat yeah, another group of five friends. Yeah yeah yeah. I
- 27:44think I said this to Matt when I think after we played this, but
- 27:47I went, oh my god, this is like we're we're the guys that
- 27:52that girls make fun of that. It's like guys can't communicate their feelings,
- 27:56but they'll sit there playing video games with their buds, communicating every single thing,
- 28:00careful call outs and strategy. It's like you guys were talking for five
- 28:04hours and you don't know how his day at work was, but he knew
- 28:10the second I didn't have health, like the second I dropped. Um.
- 28:15I'll never be able to comfortably cuddle up on a sofa next to each other,
- 28:18but we will be able to describe the ins and outs of every map,
- 28:22the counters to every character,
