- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Episode 119, What Happens After We Abolish Ice?
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: This is The Opinionated Ogre Podcast,
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: your weekly rampage through current events with a little snark,
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: a bit of foul language, and a lot of strong opinions.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: There are new episodes every Thursday,
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: and they're not safe for work or polite company of any kind whatsoever.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: I am your podcast host, The Opinionated Ogre, and this is my co-host, Florida Woman.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: Hello, Florida Woman.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: How are you today?
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I'm great.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Good morning, everybody.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: And presumably lice-free.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: Now I'm going to have to leave that part in when we edit.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: And people listening at home are going to be like, what the hell are they talking about?
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was a whole thing before the show.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: You don't want to know.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Anyway.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: We are trying something a little different this week, and we're going to see how it goes.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: We're still going to have the midterm massacre segment for now because,
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: you know, the midterms are upon us and headlines for short attention spans.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: But the first half of the show is going to be a broader discussion about a single topic.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: This week,
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: we're going to be talking about ICE and what happens if slash
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: when it gets abolished,
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: reformed, nuked from orbit, and why that definitely needs to happen.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: We have thoughts about this.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: So, let's get going.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: This is the recording for October 22nd,
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: 2026, and we have a lot to get to on episode 119 of the OggPod.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Are we ready to do this?
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: Hell yeah.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Woo!
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: All right, then let's get to it.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: It's time for the Ogre Nation Deep Dive.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Now, we've been talking about ICE for almost two years now.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Bitches.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: We all know who they are.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: They're a bunch of masked goons running around the streets of our cities,
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: terrorizing our communities.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Mostly minority communities, but not exclusively minority communities because that's their job.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: They're Stephen Miller's personal death squad.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: That is their function.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: And we always knew that's what they were going to be.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Stephen Miller, he's a self-loathing Jew.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: He's one of my peoples.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: And I, man, it is rare to see a Jewish person who is this, I mean, he's a fucking Nazi.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: He's a literal Nazi.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Like when he's done rounding up all the Latinos and all the Muslims and killing all
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: the people he hates,
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: I guarantee he will also round up the Jews because he's that fucking crazy.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: He's that fucking insane.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: I don't know who hurt him.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: His brothers and sisters seem to be perfectly fine.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: So I don't know what the fuck happened to him.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: But I don't know what the fuck happened to him.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this is something that's dated back to the time that he was in high school.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he was like this in high school.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Which is, you know, quite impressive.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: I actually don't even know where he came from, how he came to be part of the regime.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Like where, what did he do before this?
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: I honestly don't know.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: I'm sure I read about it somewheres,
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: but he insinuated himself into Trump's circle and he's been very,
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: very good at keeping himself there.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: Very good at keeping himself,
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: which is, I mean,
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: if anything,
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: that's even more impressive because if you think about it,
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: we haven't heard anything really about them fighting over the course
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: of two administrations.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Now, hopefully that changes.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Because, I mean,
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: a whole lot of people,
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: once this midterms happen,
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: once the midterms happen and Republicans get absolutely crushed,
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: not a small amount of Republicans are going to point the finger at Stephen Miller
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: and be like, a lot of this had to do with ICE going on Rampage.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: That's how you lost the entire Latino vote, was because of Stephen Miller's death squad.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: So...
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Trump's going to be like, you know what?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: You fucked me.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Go away.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: I mean, the mistake that they made was before in 2024,
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: there was a lot of talk about how Latinos were a monolith and they cared about more
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: than just immigration.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: And it is true.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: They really care about the economy.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: But they took that to mean that they don't care about immigration at all.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: But that is not the case.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Just because it's not your number one issue doesn't mean that it's not something
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: that you care about.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: And when your family starts being ripped apart, it's something that you care about a lot.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, we'll get to this,
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: but when Republicans got into power again,
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: they were telling us exactly what they were going to do the entire time.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: And as soon as they got into power,
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: they gave ICE what It was effectively an unlimited budget for ICE.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: They started off with a $10 billion budget,
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: which is a lot of money, but it got pumped up to $85 billion, which is more...
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Not than every other law enforcement agency combined.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: If you take the FBI,
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: the CIA,
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: the NSA,
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: all of them,
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: if you put them all,
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: you know, the DEA, if you put them all together, all of their budgets combined.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Do not equal what ICE has now, which is fucking insane.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Absolutely fucking insane.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: And if you look at ICE's budget,
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: if you place it next to the military budget,
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Of the world's, you know, the other nations in the world, right?
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: They have the sixth largest budget.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: It places them above India's military budget.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: And that's fucking crazy.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Now, mind you, the United States is obscenely, military budget is obscene, right?
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: It's larger than like the next 10 countries
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: combined.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: My seven-year-old talks about how large it is.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: So that's how big the budget is.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Like, you know,
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: we have a trillion dollar budget and they're trying to make it
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: a $1.5 trillion budget, which,
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: once again,
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: I would like to point out, Cenk Uygur was like, oh, they're going to cut the budget.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: Trump's going to be awesome.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: You know, they're going to cut the military budget.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: It's going up.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Cenk Uygur is a fucking moron and he should just go away and never fucking talk again.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: But whatever.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Anyway, but ICE has, if it was a military, would be the sixth largest military in the world.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: That's how much money they have.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: And we've seen this because the regime cut training time in order to shove
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: as many agents as they could out into the streets.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: And the less training time,
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: the better, but not really because the untrained agents were more prone to Right.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: I mean,
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: they took a military helicopter and landed on a building in Chicago and claimed that
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: the building was full of gang members and that and then they handcuffed children
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: and American citizens and kept them in the cold for hours and hours and hours.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: And they trashed the apartments like they just destroyed people's property.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: And these people.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: No, they arrested a lot of people, a lot of people.
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: And then those people just kind of went missing.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: And ProPublica was able to put a list together of who was arrested.
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: And it turned out that most of them did not even have criminal records,
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: nothing, not even a traffic ticket.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: And none of them had gang ties.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: That's what it was.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: There were no actual gang members.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: It was just an excuse to just snatch people and make them disappear.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: It was to have a big showy ice raid,
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: and then it turned out to be a bus, which is why we stopped hearing about it.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: It's like when they went into that, they had 200 agents go into a town.
- 9:01SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: But they also started construction on America's third round of concentration camps
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: because the first was for the Native Americans, as we all remember.
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: Well, we don't remember because it was
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: before our time.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: And they don't really teach that in school.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: They kind of glossed over that part.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: And the second were for the Japanese during World War II.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Also slightly
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: glossed over.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: Right, exactly.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: And now for the migrants that we all know the regime plans
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: to put other political dissidents and trans people and the disabled
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: and everybody else in there because they haven't been subtle about it.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: No, they haven't.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: This is part of what the $85 billion was for because they can't yoink that money
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: from the military like they wanted to the first time.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: So they just figured we'll just give them all the money they need
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: to build Stephen Miller's concentration camps because they want to lock.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: I mean, they were talking about locking up 65 million immigrants.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: It's like that's the entire Latino population.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: They're not all immigrants.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: They're just Latino, which is not the same fucking thing.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: But if you're a white nationalist, it is.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: It is the same thing.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: But they've been trying to criminalize us for the last two years.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: They just want to criminalize liberals and Democrats and anyone who opposes the regime.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: They've tried to make it literally a criminal offense to protest.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: So they have an excuse to put us in their concentration camps.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: They're just working their way towards it.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: And the regime's been targeting legal immigrants.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: Permanent residents have had their green card seized.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: More than one million immigrants have lost CPS's
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: temporary protected status.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: I forgot the T.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: And it's like, I know it's something protected status, temporary protected status.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: And the regime, they're denaturalizing more or in the process of denaturalizing.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: How many have they actually denaturalized?
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: They're in the process It's really, really hard.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: And what they're doing here is, and they've been super, super clear about this.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: The regime has been super clear about this.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: They want to make it
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: That's why they're pushing so hard to do this.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: They want to denaturalize as many people as possible because once you set
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: that precedent,
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: once you get those gears in motion, it's like, well, we denaturalized 10, then 20.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: Then 40, then 100, then 1,000.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: That's what they're trying to do here is to make it easier and more acceptable.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Because once you go after the bad people and strip them of their citizenship, Right.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: And then it's those people were convicted of a crime.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: And even though they were already citizens,
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: they're birth citizens,
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: we think they should lose their citizenship and so on and so forth.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: And that's fascism.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: This is something that the Germans pioneered was any excuse to strip someone
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: of their citizenship and make them an outcast within their own country.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: We don't think Jews should be citizens because they're not real Americans.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: We can't trust them.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: And then suddenly Jewish Germans were no longer citizens.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: Oops, they got stripped of their citizenship.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: It didn't matter how many generations.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: That's what they're doing here.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: There's nothing that the Republican Party is doing that they didn't fucking crib
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: from Mein Kampf.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: Nothing they're doing is original.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: It's all just stuff that the Nazis did.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: They're just updating it for the 21st century.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: No, and just to put it into perspective,
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: over the last 10 years,
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: only a handful of people have lost their citizenship had it been denaturalized.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: So to have 40 immigrants be pushed into the process of denaturalization
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: in one year is outrageous.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: And it's just, I mean, it's
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: unheard of.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's just,
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: they're not being sought.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: Stephen Miller creeped into me there a little bit.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: Anyway, I mean, that's really the only way he has to creep in.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: So anyway, the regime, they're also offering immigrant children $3,000 to self-deport.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: If that sounds insane to you,
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: it's no less fucking crazy than forcing toddlers to Actual toddlers to go
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: before immigration judges, usually without a lawyer or translator.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: This is what ICE does on a daily fucking basis.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: These people, like, they're just completely inhumane.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: They have no fucking soul.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: And the agency has only been around since, what, 2002?
- 14:48SPEAKER_01: Right after September 11th, before the INS.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Which wasn't great, but it wasn't this.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: It wasn't this.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: The problem with ICE is that it's been rotten too.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: I know that we like to say...
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, we have to reform it because we can't abolish it.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: But no, you can't reform something that is rotten to the fucking core.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: So you have to abolish it.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: Maybe start something else.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: That's fine because, yes, we do have to enforce immigration laws.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: But we don't have to enforce immigration laws this way.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: And historically, this agency hasn't been a thing.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: not like, oh.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: But it's been there for so long.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: How can we get on without it?
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: It's like, no, no, no, we can definitely get rid of it.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: It hasn't been there that long.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: The country existed before it, and we got along just fine.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: Precisely.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: And let me just remind everybody that the attackers on September 11th came
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: into this country legally.
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: They did not come in the country without papers.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: They came in here legally.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: So the Creation of ICE after September 11th was just one way for
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: the Republican Party to attack Latinos, which is something that they wanted to do.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: Anyway, they used September 11th as their cover to do it,
- 16:25SPEAKER_01: as we've seen their party do a million times with other things.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: Ugh.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: So, I don't think that you mentioned this,
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: but immigrant rights activists or organizations project that more
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: than 3 million immigrants will lose legal status by the end of 2028.
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: That is a massive amount of people.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: And it's not like...
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: It's not like these people were doing anything other than working
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: and living their lives,
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: but in order to ethically cleanse the United States,
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: you have to strip So they can't drive,
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: so they can't send their kids to school without the risk of being snatched
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: by masked Gestapo by Stephen Millis.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: Again, we're talking about legal immigrants.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: Not people who came here illegally.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: When you run out of legal targets, you make more by stripping people of their status.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Because those people were not legal targets.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: They were here illegally, so now they were not legal.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: I'm mixing up my words here.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: They weren't here illegally, so they weren't targets for ICE because they were here legally.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: If you make them illegal, now they're a target.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: Now they can be targeted by ICE and you can keep terrorizing their communities.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: No, Bob.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: So that's what we're doing here.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: That's the point of this.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: As the wife of an immigrant,
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: I can tell you that it's just been terrible the last couple of years.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: So many of my family members have lost their status.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: My friends, my husband is afraid to leave the country.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: He's had two family members die in the last two months.
- 18:32SPEAKER_01: His brother-in-law, who was 46 years old, he died from cancer.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: And then one of the people who helped raise him,
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: she died from cancer,
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: and he couldn't go home for their funerals for fear
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: that his green card wouldn't be enough to get him back into the country.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: Even though he's here legally,
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: they would just find an excuse to be like,
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: nah, you're brown, we don't want you here.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: It's been very,
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: very frustrating,
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: and it's been stressful on him because his dad is elderly in his 80s
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: and not doing well, and he can't go see his family.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: He told me that it's worse now than it was when he was undocumented.
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: So, well, hopefully Democrats will control the House and the Senate come January.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: It might be a little bit later than January 3rd, though,
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: because we believe that Fetterman will probably switch parties because
- 19:25SPEAKER_01: that guy fucking sucks.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: And then Mike Johnson will probably try to reject the results of the House elections
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: to steal control.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: We wouldn't put anything past these people at this point.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: Trump will have the DOJ try to roll up on ballot counting sites and remove
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: as many ballots as possible and then claim that they can't be counted because
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: the chain of custody was broken.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: I believe that there was news recently that his regime demanded voting machines, right?
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's in headlines, I think.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure we have the headlines.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: But yeah, no, that was something.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: They're...
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: We'll get to that.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: Or they're going to demand that the Supreme Court throw out millions of votes
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: across several states, but it won't work out.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: And it will take several weeks to sort out, though, because, you know, that's what they do now.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and this is what they do now.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: We saw this kind of in 2021, right?
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: That's when Biden took over.
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: They fought it for months and months and months.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: We learned about deadlines that we never heard before.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: Suddenly, we all knew when Congress was supposed to count the votes.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I was explaining that to Anastasia last night.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: She's like, is there going to be another January 6th?
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: I was like, yes, but it's going to be on January 3rd this time.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: She's like, She's like, what?
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: And I was like,
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: I had to explain to her the whole thing about swearing in the house and blah,
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: blah, blah.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: It's going to be like, yeah,
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: and then they're going to spend months and months and months suing and trying
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: to stop it.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: And it's going to be a shit show, but it's not going to work.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: I actually came across a Facebook memory that said,
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: no, every Republican will always say that the election's been stolen from us.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: And I wrote this six years ago.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: And that has been true.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: We have seen countless Republicans lose...
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: Republicans have never accepted Democrats as a legitimate ruling party or
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: a legitimate party at all.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: And now it's just, if we lost the election, it was stolen from us.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: We're not even allowed to win elections now.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: Everything, it's like, it's only Republicans can be in power.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: Otherwise, it's illegitimate and it was stolen from us.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: And really, this isn't a Trump thing.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, we can look back to the 2000 election and see
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: that this has always been what they're working up towards.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: No, they'll blame it on Trump.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: It's like you fuckers were like this before Trump.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: He just made it worse.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: I always say that Trump is not the thing that caused the Republican Party to be rotten.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: He's just the manifestation of all of the policies that they have created over
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: the last five decades.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: And one person, he's one fascist package.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: He's the only thing.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: The only problem with him is that he's stupid.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: Thank God.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Thank God.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: If he wasn't stupid, we'd be in a lot more trouble.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: Thank God.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: So as we said that we we expect there to be court cases and protests
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: and no doubt Trump is going to try to declare martial law.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: But in the end,
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: we'll control both chambers of Congress and more than half of
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: the states will have Democratic governors,
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: which apparently is going to be like the first time that's happened in like since
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: the 90s, I think, which is going to be nice.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I really hope so.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: Listen, guys, don't get complacent.
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: Get out there and vote.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: Early voting has opened in a lot of states, including in Florida.
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: So make it happen.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: Don't think, oh, you know, man, I really don't have to go because we're expected to win.
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: No, get off your sofa and go fucking vote.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: Yep, voted last weekend.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: I'm voting this Saturday with my son, the older one, not the younger one.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: We're going down to Richmond this weekend to visit Lila.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: I'm going to see if she voted yet.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: If not, I'm going to drag her over there.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: That's funny.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: I'm going to Gainesville this weekend, and we're going to vote before we go to Gainesville.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: But, you know,
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: we expect that it's going to be a rough couple of years to be a fascist or
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: a collaborator.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: Thank God.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: Their time is coming.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: We're very excited.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: Boohoo for them.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: Oh, this is me too.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: So now it's important to understand that there's literally nothing Democrats can do
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: to strip ICE of its budget.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: So please don't start screaming at your Democratic lawmakers that they need to defund ICE.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: They cannot defund ICE.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: There is no way for them to defund them.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: Literally, there's no way for it to happen.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: Not over the next two years.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: No.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: That money is already in their bank account, so to speak.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: Democrats cannot claw back the money.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: They can't shut it down, even if and when they have control of both chambers.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: They will not have a veto process.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: Nope, it's not possible.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: There's no mechanism for them to shut down ICE.
- 24:47SPEAKER_01: They could shut down the government and threaten to breach the debt ceiling
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: unless Trump agrees to disband ICE.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there's limited, like we did this last year, and what's the last year?
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was last year.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: And we held out as long as we could.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: But he was hurting people like he was letting kids go hungry.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: And there was only so long we could hold out for.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: when you actually give a shit about the thing being held hostage and
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: the other person doesn't, you can't hold that hostage forever.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: Right, exactly.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: We can't do anything to end ICE just with the control of Congress.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: And it's super important to understand this
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: because we're already seeing fake progressives, the alt-left people.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: Now, maybe they just don't understand basic civics or how the federal government works.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Possibly.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: A lot of people are really fucking stupid.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: And incredibly fucking ignorant.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: Although one would think that if you've spent this much time writing or reading
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: or screaming about government,
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: you would probably have some idea of how Congress works.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: More likely,
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: and as far as I'm concerned,
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: this is the opening stages of the 2028 election cycle and all of
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: the rat fucking that's going to be coming with it.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: It's going to be, see, Democrats didn't do anything.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: They did nothing.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: So stay home and don't vote.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: Teach them a lesson.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: Because that's what they do every fucking election cycle.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: And it's when you see someone saying that...
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: The first words out of your mouth should be, what were Democrats supposed to do to defund ICE?
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: Make them explain it to you because they'll scream,
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: Democrats should have defunded ICE,
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: but then they can't explain how they should have done the thing.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: Like they'll say like back when Roe was overturned,
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: they should have, Democrats had the chance to codify Roe and make it law.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: How?
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: How?
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: Well, they just should have done it.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: How could they have done that?
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: What could they have done codify Roe?
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: How would they have gotten over the filibuster?
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: How would that have worked?
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Please explain how they would have done it.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: And they can't.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: And the people screaming it the loudest tend to know that.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: So push back.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: When you see someone screaming about how Democrats have to abolish ICE over
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: the next two years, how?
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: Make them tell you.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: And if they won't tell you, then you know that they're lying about it.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: And then you have to call them out because you're going to be seeing
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: a whole fucking lot of that in the next two years.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: Don't let them do that.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's a lot like them screaming about Palestine before the last election and
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: then immediately not giving a shit about Palestine after the election.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I'm sure they're going to be doing that, too, for the next two years.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, they are.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Democrats should be stopping us from doing anything with Israel.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: They're not in control.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, they control the budget,
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: but they don't control the Pentagon's budget,
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: which is where that money's coming from right now.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: So we'll see.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: And all because they thought that it would be okay to just go out and vote
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: for Trump again because they didn't like Kamala Harris.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: Well, she had a funny laugh.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: Hey, what's up, Nick?
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: Terrible.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: So Democrats can and will, however, investigate ICE and subpoena everything, every single file.
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: I saw somebody screaming recently at an ICE agent saying,
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: we're going to look at every fucking file, every single fucking file.
- 28:59SPEAKER_01: If you think you're safe, we're looking at every fucking file.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: And I was like, yes.
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: Yes, King, we are.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: And they're going to look explicitly at white nationalist recruiting.
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: We know that's been a big fucking problem.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: Cut it out, dog.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: I'm so sorry.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: My dog wants my microwave bacon.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: The shortcuts on the background checks,
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: how many people with known ties to white nationalist militias were hired,
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: where is all of that money going,
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: the companies that built and operate the concentration camps that are going
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: to be raked over the coals,
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: etc., etc., A lot of very ugly and insanely illegal stuff is going to come out.
- 29:39SPEAKER_01: We know that one of the shooters of an immigrant had a history of ties
- 29:47SPEAKER_01: to white supremacist ideals,
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: and he had a history of violence that was easily traceable,
- 29:54SPEAKER_01: and they didn't do anything about that.
- 29:56SPEAKER_01: So it's easy to imagine that there's going to be thousands of others just like that.
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: And, you know,
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: at some point it goes from, well,
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: we didn't bother looking to,
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: well, we knew about it and this is exactly what we wanted.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: Republicans are all tripping over their dicks to get themselves lawyers.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: I'll bet money that even White House lawyers are rushing out to get lawyers.
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love it when lawyers have to hire lawyers because they know that's how fucked they are.
- 30:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's how you know they're fucked.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: They all obviously know that they're in a lot of trouble.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: I want to know how many documents have been burned.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: I think they're going to be trying to go through their emails and trying
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: to purge everything, but it's really hard to make emails disappear forever.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, especially on government computers.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: Corporations are hiring more lawyers, too.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: We mentioned this in episode 116,
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: that some of them may be bribing the regime to get juicy government contracts
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: and preferential treatment, and that wasn't a great long-term strategy.
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: I'm sure it sounded good at the time.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we're looking at you, Facebook and Apple, Amazon and Microsoft and Comcast and Skydance.
- 31:16SPEAKER_01: Good luck with those corruption and antitrust suits that are coming in 2029.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: Now, after all of that, then rolls around 2028 and the next Republican bloodbath.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: The midterms are going to be a fucking nightmare for Republicans.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: 2028, not going to be any better.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: Democrats are going to hold the House and the Senate map...
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: Senate map is usually friendly for Republicans, right?
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: It is not at all friendly to Republicans this time.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: And Trump is either going to be dead from a stroke or he's going to be so impaired
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: with dementia that he's not going to be able to physically run again, even though...
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: They're going to be talking about how he's going to run again and blah, blah, blah.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: So he's not running again.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: The economy is going to be a fucking dumpster fire.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: The AI bubble cannot last forever.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: It's going to collapse sooner or later, no matter.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: All the bullshit they're coming up with to try and extend it,
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: it's going to pop because it's unsustainable.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: Now, Rachel Maddow talked about this on her Monday show.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: There are massive cuts to Medicaid that are going to kick in after the midterms
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: because they thought they were being so clever.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: They're going to push it off after the midterms and they were going to win
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: the midterms so it wouldn't matter afterwards.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: Well, they're losing the midterms and then all the Medicaid stuff is kicking in and
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: then people who are already pissed at them are going to remain pissed at them for
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: the next two years.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: Millions of people are going to lose their insurance.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: Rural hospitals are going to close by the dozens.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: Everyone's going to know who to blame and it's not going to be fucking trans kids
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: and immigrants.
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: Well, speaking of the healthcare stuff,
- 33:03SPEAKER_01: people right now,
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: before they're going out to vote,
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: are learning about how much their Obamacare premiums are increasing,
- 33:12SPEAKER_01: and people are fucking pissed.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and that's only going to get worse.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: And they know who to blame for that.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: And it's not Democrats because Republicans were so proud of themselves.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: And after the midterms, this is something else Rachel Maddow talked about.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: The regime's going to go on another war path to restrict abortion,
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: to access to abortion, probably the medications.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: And that's going to be super popular with women.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: They're going all in on reigniting the war with Iran because they can't get
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: the Shade of Hormuz open properly.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: So they're going to be bombing the shit out of them again.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: If we don't have boots on the ground by the end of the year,
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: that would be a huge fucking surprise.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: The war is already super, super popular.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: Sending in troops is going to be even more popular.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: Prescription drugs are going to get wildly more expensive
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: because we're slapping tariffs on Canada.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: Of course, that's going...
- 34:10SPEAKER_00: Specifically on prescription medications that people get from Canada.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: That's going into effect after the midterms.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: And here's one of my personal favorites.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: Millions of student loans are going to be handed over to debt collectors
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: and millions of Americans are going Ha!
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: Just kidding.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: Brianna Joy Gray and Jill Stein and all those people,
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: they're not going to say a fucking word about it because it's
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: a Republican president.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: Who cares about student loans when there's a Republican president?
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: That's only when Democrats are in charge.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: That's the only time it's important.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: I haven't heard them saying anything about it recently.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: You know, the last time I looked at Brianna Joy Gray's, I think it was her Twitter profile.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: I think she's mentioned in the last year, maybe three times.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: And she was talking about it every single day in 2024.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: And it's so weird that she just stopped talking about it.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: So strange.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: She loves talking about Tucker Carlson and how awesome he is, though.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, they're trying to push him to run for president so hard.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, my God.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: Which is what I expected.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: She's got a massive hard-on for him.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: It's really funny.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: But not student loans anymore.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: Can we just talk about... Tucker Carlson is a white supremacist.
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: He is a fucking white supremacist.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: When the shooting in Buffalo happened at the Topps grocery store
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: and 10 black people were killed,
- 35:56SPEAKER_01: that kid,
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: the shooter,
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: had talked about the Great Replacement Theory,
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: which Tucker Carlson repeatedly talked about on his show.
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: It was his bread and butter for a while.
- 36:11SPEAKER_01: Yes, down in, was it Texas, El Paso, the Walmart shooting?
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: Also, the shooter was worried about the Great Replacement Theory.
- 36:21SPEAKER_01: Again, Tucker Harlson spent years talking about this, and it resulted in actual mass murders.
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: So just because he's like, oh, I regret voting for Trump now.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: I mean, he regrets voting for anything that Trump stood for or stands for.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, this is a guy who has a 20 year history on TV being the worst kind of person.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: One could argue that he gave rise to Trump.
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: They certainly helped.
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: So, well, hopefully in 2029, we're going to keep our majorities and reclaim the White House.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: Then all of those investigations could be turned into actionable results, not just, you know.
- 37:00SPEAKER_01: Right, and that's the difference between our investigations and theirs.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah,
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: but we know how a Republican loves to start a 15-year investigation that ends in
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: a big nothing burger.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: Our investigations will actually turn into charges of people.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: Here's the fun thing about this.
- 37:30SPEAKER_00: Since Trump has pretty much stomped on and destroyed the norm
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: of not prosecuting your political opponents, it's normal now.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: Fuck it.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: Once Democrats find all that corruption and all that crime, there you go.
- 37:46SPEAKER_01: As long as we don't hire Merrick Garland to be Attorney General, we should be set.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: Like whoever the next president is,
- 37:54SPEAKER_00: the first words out of their mouth when they're interviewing people
- 37:56SPEAKER_00: for attorney general, are you actually going to put these people in jail?
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: Yes?
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: You're hired.
- 38:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm not going to lie.
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: I would love to see a attorney general, Jasmine Crockett.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: Or Jack Smith.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: It's like he put war criminals in jail.
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: I'd like to see him do the job.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: That'd be pretty funny.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that would be funny.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: It's pretty...
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: I pretty much guarantee the Democrats are going to run on abolishing ICE as part
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: of their platform, and they have to fucking do this, guys.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: I'm not the kind of person who's like, oh, you know, a one-issue girl.
- 38:30SPEAKER_01: I'm not the kind of person who was like, oh,
- 38:32SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: Palestine,
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: Palestine, Palestine, even though that's been important to me for 15 years at least.
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: But we have to make them actually do something about ICE.
- 38:43SPEAKER_01: We have to make our politicians...
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: They have to understand, if you do not do this, don't even bother.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: You are not going to get the nomination if a central plank of your platform is not abolish ICE.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: This isn't like Bob agreed.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: Was that Bob weighing in?
- 39:06SPEAKER_01: That was Bob Wing and I got him,
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: he has a BarkBox toy that's like,
- 39:11SPEAKER_01: it looks like a bag of cool ranch Doritos and it has two squeakers
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: that are shaped like Doritos and you put them in the bag and then he has
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: to get them out and really he's enjoying that toy.
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: But where were we?
- 39:26SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, they're not going to get very far.
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: We have to make sure that they actually run on this and mean what they say.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: There is not going to be any, oh, let's move forward.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, no.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: The only way forward is through the corpse of the Republican Party and ICE.
- 39:44SPEAKER_01: What happens after that?
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: It's obvious that ICE was always meant to be a paramilitary force,
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: a weapon to be wielded against democracy and the regime's enemies.
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: Republicans will fight tooth and nail to protect their weapon.
- 39:59SPEAKER_01: The first step will be the court where the six most corrupt justices in the history
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: of the United States Supreme Court will suddenly discover
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: that their unitary executive theory doesn't apply to the Democratic president.
- 40:13SPEAKER_01: We've been talking about this constantly.
- 40:16SPEAKER_01: They believe in the unitary executive theory as long as it's Republican.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: But as soon as there's a Democrat in office,
- 40:23SPEAKER_01: and we saw this with Obama, they're like, And with Biden.
- 40:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and with Biden.
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: Does he really have the power to forgive student loans?
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: No.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: It's like, no, no, no, no.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: It's like, sorry, you don't actually have power.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: Only the Supreme Court has power.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: When does a Democrat in office?
- 40:39SPEAKER_01: Meanwhile,
- 40:40SPEAKER_01: Trump was allowed to erase entire agencies out of existence with an executive order
- 40:46SPEAKER_01: or defund them at will.
- 40:47SPEAKER_01: We'll bet a shiny nickel President Trump Democrat 2029 will not have this ability
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: for, you know, like, reasons.
- 40:58SPEAKER_00: Very good reasons.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: Reasons that they won't have to explain, but definitely reasons.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely won't be explaining it, and it'll all happen in the shadow talker.
- 41:07SPEAKER_01: Trump was allowed to shut agencies down,
- 41:11SPEAKER_01: ordering them to cease functioning while still existing on paper.
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: They did that with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
- 41:19SPEAKER_00: It's still there.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: It just doesn't do anything now.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: The Department of Education is still there, but what is it doing?
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: It still exists because they weren't allowed to shut it down.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: They weren't allowed to kill it, erase it, but it doesn't do anything.
- 41:33SPEAKER_00: It just sits there.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: It doesn't actually do its job.
- 41:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah,
- 41:36SPEAKER_01: we're looking forward to discovering why that's illegal for the president to do now,
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: too, when a Democrat takes office.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: It's going to be really impressive.
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: I really expect for the Supreme Court to say, well,
- 41:51SPEAKER_00: ICE has to keep functioning as is without interference from the executive branch,
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: even though it's an executive branch agency, because reasons.
- 42:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Democrats are going to have to pass a law abolishing ICE and eliminating
- 42:04SPEAKER_01: the filibuster to do it.
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: You know,
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: I've been on the fence about eliminating the filibuster in the past
- 42:09SPEAKER_01: because I'm very much like if we do it, they're going to do it too.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: But I believe that Republicans are eventually going to do it anyway.
- 42:15SPEAKER_01: And actually, they don't even care so much about the filibuster.
- 42:19SPEAKER_01: It doesn't seem so.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: You know, I disagree with that.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: Republicans don't like to pass laws.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: That's true, too.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: Because if they wanted to pass a law banning abortion, they would get rid of the Philippines.
- 42:35SPEAKER_00: No one can vote to get a judge out of office.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: If the Republicans go in there and they start passing laws like,
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: hey, we're going to ban gay people.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: We're going to make same-sex marriage illegal.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: We're going to pass laws banning burkas or banning Muslims.
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: People will get really, really mad at them and hold them accountable.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: As long as they don't actually pass any laws other than tax cuts for the rich,
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: they can just point to the Supreme Court and say, well, Oh, that's true.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: We didn't do it.
- 43:22SPEAKER_00: It wasn't us.
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: You can't blame us for it.
- 43:24SPEAKER_00: It was the Supreme Court.
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: We didn't do it.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: They're like shaggy.
- 43:28SPEAKER_01: She caught me on the counter.
- 43:29SPEAKER_01: It wasn't me.
- 43:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 43:31SPEAKER_01: It's like, of course,
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: they all support it.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: But then it's like, it wasn't me.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: We didn't do it.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: It wasn't us.
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: They don't want to pass those laws.
- 43:41SPEAKER_00: They just want to keep Democrats from passing laws.
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: I agree with you.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: Well, we're going to see where Democrats stand in 2028 and 2027.
- 43:53SPEAKER_00: Yep, it's coming.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: So ICE gets dissolved, right?
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: Democrats get in there.
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: They do their thing.
- 43:59SPEAKER_00: Sooner or later, they get through the courts, Supreme Court, whatever.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: ICE gets nuked.
- 44:04SPEAKER_00: It's rank and file mostly fired.
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: What happens to them?
- 44:07SPEAKER_00: Well, from what we can tell, you have two paths forward here.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: Democrats could offer an olive branch, right?
- 44:14SPEAKER_00: There's tens of thousands of these guys.
- 44:17SPEAKER_00: They're all heavily armed.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: They're all trained how to shoot a gun, et cetera.
- 44:21SPEAKER_00: Kind of.
- 44:21SPEAKER_00: Kind of.
- 44:23SPEAKER_00: Democrats could offer them a truth and reconciliation panel to expose the worst of
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: the abuses and offer immunity for some of them if they give up like Stephen Miller,
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: Greg Bovino,
- 44:34SPEAKER_00: we haven't forgot about you, Greg Bovino, the CEOs of the private prison companies.
- 44:39SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: Give up the big fish.
- 44:42SPEAKER_00: They go to prison for the rest of their lives or,
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: you know, fucking executed for crimes against humanity.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: And then the rest of you go home,
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: never work in any kind of law enforcement ever again with the understanding
- 44:54SPEAKER_00: that they're being watched because these guys are definitely going to want
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: to join fucking militias because a lot of like we're going to get to that
- 45:03SPEAKER_00: a second.
- 45:03SPEAKER_00: But.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: They can't go into law enforcement.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: They can't be put in that kind of position of authority because they're too fucking dangerous.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: Or the rank and file could just straight up face justice for what they've done.
- 45:17SPEAKER_00: The murder,
- 45:17SPEAKER_00: the violence,
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: the terrorism,
- 45:19SPEAKER_00: the cruelty, because I was just following orders, is not a fucking defense.
- 45:25SPEAKER_00: And it's important to understand that Thousands of these pieces of shit, right?
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: There's tens of thousands.
- 45:31SPEAKER_00: They're going to be angry.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: They're going to be bitter.
- 45:33SPEAKER_00: And as far as they're concerned, they're the victims here.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: Because of course they fucking are.
- 45:40SPEAKER_00: And ICE agent just...
- 45:42SPEAKER_00: This week was literally crying in court when he was facing the real possibility
- 45:47SPEAKER_00: of consequences.
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: And this is from Courthouse News.
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: Quote, the agent broke down in tears while testifying about feeling unsafe, boohoo,
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: and overwhelmed during Operation Metro Surge,
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: describing the atmosphere as a,
- 45:59SPEAKER_00: quote, riot where he faced relentless harassment, racial slurs and threats of death.
- 46:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, no.
- 46:05SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 46:06SPEAKER_00: Through a shaky voice, Morgan,
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: this would be the cop,
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: described the toll his brief deployment took on him and his family.
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: I've never experienced something like this before, he said.
- 46:16SPEAKER_00: I had to take my daughter out of school because I did the job I was supposed to do.
- 46:21SPEAKER_01: Bitch, please.
- 46:24SPEAKER_01: Fuck you.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: I was just following orders.
- 46:29SPEAKER_00: Fuck this guy.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: I thought when I saw this in the news,
- 46:35SPEAKER_01: I thought maybe he was crying because he realized that what he did was wrong.
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 46:40SPEAKER_00: He's the victim.
- 46:40SPEAKER_00: He was a victimized here.
- 46:42SPEAKER_00: But it was him.
- 46:42SPEAKER_00: It was him being the victim.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: And I just could not.
- 46:46SPEAKER_00: Now, mind you, this piece of shit.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: He pulled a gun on a driver because he was driving his car.
- 46:53SPEAKER_00: His unmarked car,
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: he was driving it on,
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: illegally driving on the shoulder and someone else kept blocking him, right?
- 47:01SPEAKER_00: Because he was trying to fucking pass people.
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: And I've done this before.
- 47:05SPEAKER_00: When some asshole is driving on the shoulder trying to zip past everybody,
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: I've done this before.
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: I've dipped my car in the way to keep them from doing it because it's like, fuck you, buddy.
- 47:13SPEAKER_00: Everyone else is here is in traffic.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: You can fucking get in traffic with the rest of us.
- 47:17SPEAKER_00: You're not fucking special because I'm an asshole that way.
- 47:20SPEAKER_00: So he fucking got in front of them, stopped his car and pulled his fucking gun.
- 47:25SPEAKER_00: And his excuse was he didn't know the area and he didn't realize that he was driving
- 47:31SPEAKER_00: on the shoulder, which is absolutely right.
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: Florida woman, you've been driving for decades.
- 47:40SPEAKER_00: A shoulder is a shoulder.
- 47:42SPEAKER_00: You've been in multiple states.
- 47:44SPEAKER_01: The solid white line didn't give him a clue.
- 47:47SPEAKER_00: You've driven in multiple states, as have I.
- 47:50SPEAKER_00: Is a shoulder different in any other states?
- 47:53SPEAKER_00: No, it's actually the same everywhere I've been.
- 47:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's one of the things that I have to say about the United States.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: The roads are literally the same every fucking place you've been.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: A shoulder is a shoulder is every fucking where you go.
- 48:10SPEAKER_00: So that is probably the lamest fucking excuse I didn't know was a shoulder.
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: What else would it fucking be?
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: Did you just start driving or did you just get your license last week?
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: I would take that from my daughter who still has her learner permit.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: She gives that excuse.
- 48:29SPEAKER_00: I'd be like, yeah, okay, you're dumb.
- 48:31SPEAKER_00: You didn't know.
- 48:31SPEAKER_00: You're just learning.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: This guy's been driving for fucking years.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: No, you don't get to say that.
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was his excuse.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: It's like, oh, fuck you, man.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: But we've seen hundreds of stories like this already.
- 48:45SPEAKER_00: Power tripping, undertrained or rollerblading.
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: Broid raging neo-Nazi assholes lashing out at the public for daring
- 48:53SPEAKER_00: to oppose their righteous crusade to terrorize communities of colors because they're
- 48:58SPEAKER_00: the victims.
- 48:59SPEAKER_00: They're always the victims.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: They're the heroes of their story.
- 49:02SPEAKER_00: And when you oppose them, they whip out their victim card or their gun.
- 49:06SPEAKER_01: Or both.
- 49:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, we've seen this time and time again with these fucking people.
- 49:12SPEAKER_01: Just cannot even.
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: So when troops started coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan,
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: anti-government militias were eager to recruit them for the skills they had learned
- 49:22SPEAKER_01: in the military.
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: Throughout history,
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 49:25SPEAKER_01: these militias have always recruited police officers and people who have been in
- 49:31SPEAKER_01: the military.
- 49:31SPEAKER_01: The KKK loved a police officer.
- 49:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 49:35SPEAKER_00: And the only thing they love more than someone coming back from
- 49:37SPEAKER_00: the military is someone who's currently in law enforcement.
- 49:39SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 49:40SPEAKER_01: A lot of these assholes were already associated with militias.
- 49:44SPEAKER_01: Pete, I said that.
- 49:49SPEAKER_01: And they will 100% go back and take whatever they learned with them,
- 49:54SPEAKER_01: along with the connections that they made in ICE to other violent racists.
- 49:59SPEAKER_01: We are going to be dealing with a widespread domestic terrorist problem for decades.
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: And Stephen Miller is the fucking cause.
- 50:07SPEAKER_01: Because remember, Trump doesn't care about this stuff.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: He might have used immigrants to get elected.
- 50:11SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: Any move towards terrorism?
- 50:13SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 50:37SPEAKER_00: Into prison they go.
- 50:39SPEAKER_00: Because I really am over the whole fascism gets a pass thing because,
- 50:43SPEAKER_00: you know, white men need room to be angry.
- 50:45SPEAKER_00: But I don't necessarily need us to put 10,000, 20,000 ICE agents in prison.
- 50:51SPEAKER_00: I won't be excused.
- 50:52SPEAKER_00: But if we take several hundred of them, make examples of them to the rest and say, that's you.
- 50:59SPEAKER_00: If your dumb ass gets out of line, go home.
- 51:03SPEAKER_00: Go home.
- 51:04SPEAKER_00: Get a fucking job somewhere else that doesn't involve a fucking gun.
- 51:08SPEAKER_00: And you can live out the rest of your dumb fucking Nazi life somewheres
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: and be shunned by your community.
- 51:14SPEAKER_00: Great.
- 51:14SPEAKER_00: Fine.
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: Pick up a gun.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: We're going to come get you.
- 51:17SPEAKER_00: Preferably,
- 51:18SPEAKER_00: I would like to see them shot like the dogs they are,
- 51:20SPEAKER_00: like the rabid animals they are,
- 51:21SPEAKER_00: but still,
- 51:22SPEAKER_00: send them home,
- 51:23SPEAKER_00: take their guns away, keep them quiet, just fucking destroy ICE, get rid of ICE.
- 51:29SPEAKER_00: But we treat Muslims like terrorists just for example.
- 51:32SPEAKER_00: Nah.
- 51:32SPEAKER_00: Mm-mm.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: Do you remember how we still were hunting the Nazis down when they were 85 years old?
- 52:05SPEAKER_00: Good times.
- 52:06SPEAKER_00: Good times.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: That's what I want.
- 52:08SPEAKER_01: I want what we've been talking about for years.
- 52:10SPEAKER_01: Nuremberg Trials.
- 52:12SPEAKER_01: These motherfuckers violated rights and murdered people.
- 52:15SPEAKER_01: I want them in prison.
- 52:16SPEAKER_01: I don't care if we have 20,000 fucking ICE agents in prison.
- 52:20SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 52:21SPEAKER_01: Let out the low-level drug offenders.
- 52:23SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 52:24SPEAKER_01: These are people who shot immigrants in the fucking back,
- 52:27SPEAKER_01: the stomach,
- 52:28SPEAKER_01: the head,
- 52:29SPEAKER_01: suffocated them,
- 52:30SPEAKER_01: forced them on the ground in front of their children,
- 52:33SPEAKER_01: hog-tied them,
- 52:34SPEAKER_01: and Did all kinds of humiliating things,
- 52:37SPEAKER_01: made them eat rotten food in concentration camps,
- 52:40SPEAKER_01: denied them medication,
- 52:41SPEAKER_01: and watched them die when they didn't have the care that they needed.
- 52:44SPEAKER_01: They treated human beings like animals,
- 52:46SPEAKER_01: and I wish for them every single thing they've done for immigrants.
- 52:50SPEAKER_01: And while I don't believe in the death penalty...
- 52:53SPEAKER_01: I'm not opposed to seeing them packed into tiny cells with shitty food and horrible conditions.
- 52:59SPEAKER_01: And they should feel what they forced other people to feel.
- 53:02SPEAKER_01: Like Tupac once said, fuck you and your motherfucking mama.
- 53:06SPEAKER_00: It's quite the day when I'm the voice of moderation.
- 53:09SPEAKER_00: That's not a good place to be if you're an ICE agent.
- 53:11SPEAKER_00: If I'm the voice of moderation, that is not where you want to be.
- 53:15SPEAKER_01: Nuremberg them all.
- 53:16SPEAKER_01: Not a single one left.
- 53:18SPEAKER_01: Hunt them down like we did the Nazis.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: Oh, boy.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: Goodbye.
- 53:22SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 53:22SPEAKER_00: Well, I can't really argue with too much about that
- 53:24SPEAKER_00: because these are very fucking bad people
- 53:26SPEAKER_00: and they really do fucking deserve terrible,
- 53:28SPEAKER_00: terrible fucking things to happen
- 53:30SPEAKER_01: to them.
- 53:32SPEAKER_00: Before we move on to our next section, first, well,
- 53:34SPEAKER_00: when we get around to it in the comments for everybody,
- 53:37SPEAKER_00: please let us know what you think about our deep dive.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: It's a lot more thorough than what we usually do for our main stories,
- 53:42SPEAKER_00: so let us know your opinions.
- 53:45SPEAKER_00: But before we move on to our next section...
- 53:47SPEAKER_00: If you would like to throw us a small tip,
- 53:49SPEAKER_00: the QR codes are for both PayPal and Venmo up on the screen.
- 53:53SPEAKER_00: We have no sponsors or advertisers.
- 53:55SPEAKER_00: And that is definitely never going to happen since we've got Miss Bloodthirst over here.
- 54:01SPEAKER_00: Terrible.
- 54:02SPEAKER_00: Just terrible.
- 54:02SPEAKER_00: I'm definitely a moderate.
- 54:04SPEAKER_00: I'm the much calmer of us,
- 54:06SPEAKER_00: obviously,
- 54:07SPEAKER_00: down there in Florida with her crazy, you know, bath salt problem and stuff.
- 54:11SPEAKER_00: But anyway...
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: We both have kids in college and they need money because they are broke as fuck.
- 54:18SPEAKER_00: And so are we.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: So we could appreciate anything you can send our way.
- 54:22SPEAKER_01: Mine just asked me for money for his phone bill.
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 54:27SPEAKER_00: Lila's doing freaking,
- 54:28SPEAKER_00: you know, she's getting ready for Halloween and she's like and buying groceries.
- 54:32SPEAKER_00: So it's like, I'm broke.
- 54:34SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, we're coming.
- 54:35SPEAKER_00: We're coming this weekend.
- 54:36SPEAKER_00: We're going to help you out with groceries.
- 54:39SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 54:39SPEAKER_00: It is time now for the Midterm Massacre.
- 54:43SPEAKER_00: Yay.
- 54:56SPEAKER_01: A few weeks ago,
- 54:57SPEAKER_01: we mentioned that Nate Silver,
- 54:59SPEAKER_01: the mediocre white guy who went down the aggrieved white boy rabbit hole,
- 55:03SPEAKER_01: was bitching about other polling aggregators like himself
- 55:06SPEAKER_01: because they were being too cautious in
- 55:09SPEAKER_00: the face of a massive blue wave.
- 55:11SPEAKER_00: And boy, did he go down that rabbit hole hard.
- 55:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that caught our attention because Silver has been very,
- 55:18SPEAKER_01: shall we say, MAGA-friendly for a while now.
- 55:22SPEAKER_01: And for him to make a stink
- 55:24SPEAKER_01: that his fellow polling people are ignoring how much trouble Republicans are
- 55:29SPEAKER_01: in was not in our bingo card.
- 55:31SPEAKER_01: And yet his current forecast is Democrats taking the House at 93% and 75% for the Senate.
- 55:36SPEAKER_01: Which is just fucking insane.
- 55:42SPEAKER_01: Now, silver has been off base before,
- 55:44SPEAKER_01: notably in 2016, though I will argue that it was in the margin of error.
- 55:53SPEAKER_01: But stuff like this is important.
- 55:56SPEAKER_01: The more people understand that Republicans are way, way, way, way, way, way behind...
- 56:02SPEAKER_01: That Democrats are not just winning, but absolutely dominating.
- 56:08SPEAKER_01: That it's not a normal midterm election where the party in power loses some seats.
- 56:14SPEAKER_01: The harder it's going to be for the regime to convince anybody at all that,
- 56:18SPEAKER_01: well, actually, Republicans won.
- 56:20SPEAKER_01: And all the polling in every single state was wrong.
- 56:23SPEAKER_01: Good luck with that, you fascist little fucks.
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: Side note to that, I wrote about this yesterday, not like an article on it, but a note.
- 56:30SPEAKER_00: I've been seeing a lot of articles lately that keep popping up saying,
- 56:35SPEAKER_00: oh, what if the polling's all wrong?
- 56:37SPEAKER_00: What if there's no blue wave?
- 56:39SPEAKER_01: Oh, me too.
- 56:40SPEAKER_01: A lot of them.
- 56:42SPEAKER_00: Which, you know,
- 56:43SPEAKER_00: so that's either clickbait or that's a concerted effort to lay the groundwork
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: for Trump to step out there and say, oh, no, we actually won this.
- 56:54SPEAKER_00: This is all rigged because if you look at,
- 56:57SPEAKER_00: and this is what I wrote yesterday,
- 56:59SPEAKER_00: more or less,
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: at American history,
- 57:01SPEAKER_00: we have a long tradition in American electoral history of the party
- 57:07SPEAKER_00: in power winning election, midterm election.
- 57:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:24SPEAKER_00: Those are all the years that it's happened.
- 57:26SPEAKER_00: So yeah, these articles are like, what are you even doing?
- 57:31SPEAKER_00: Are you fucking kidding me?
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: No.
- 57:35SPEAKER_00: The most thing you can argue,
- 57:36SPEAKER_00: it's like, okay, it won't be a fucking absolute Noah's Ark tsunami.
- 57:42SPEAKER_00: That's the argument you can make.
- 57:44SPEAKER_00: They're not going to win 50 seats.
- 57:46SPEAKER_00: They may win 25.
- 57:48SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 57:49SPEAKER_01: Which is still a fucking wave.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's still a fucking wave.
- 57:52SPEAKER_00: And that's, those are the arguments we're going to hear.
- 57:55SPEAKER_00: It's like, oh, Democrats only won six Senate seats instead of seven.
- 58:00SPEAKER_00: That's not.
- 58:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, they only won four governorships instead of six.
- 58:08SPEAKER_00: That's not a wave because that's what they did the last fucking time
- 58:13SPEAKER_00: that Democrats had a really good midterm.
- 58:15SPEAKER_00: They spent over a month arguing.
- 58:18SPEAKER_00: They ended up winning 40 seats,
- 58:20SPEAKER_00: but they spent a month arguing that it wasn't a fucking blue wave
- 58:23SPEAKER_00: because they didn't win big enough.
- 58:26SPEAKER_00: And it's like, come on, man.
- 58:28SPEAKER_01: I really hope we win the Senate.
- 58:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 58:47SPEAKER_00: That's got to be it.
- 59:04SPEAKER_00: Because everything else, it's a wave.
- 59:06SPEAKER_00: When Democrats win, it's not.
- 59:07SPEAKER_00: Fuck off.
- 59:08SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 59:08SPEAKER_00: Now, Abdul El Saeed should absolutely be sending a fruit basket to the GOP.
- 59:14SPEAKER_00: My God.
- 59:15SPEAKER_00: They sent one of their smarmy little bootlicking fascists to a town hall meeting.
- 59:19SPEAKER_00: El-Sayed was holding,
- 59:21SPEAKER_00: and the purpose of this was to generate content for Fox News or something.
- 59:25SPEAKER_00: And this interaction turned into a campaign-defining moment for the Democratic candidate.
- 59:31SPEAKER_00: And he turned this gotcha moment into absolute humiliation for
- 59:35SPEAKER_00: the entire Christian nationalist movement.
- 59:38SPEAKER_00: Have you seen this clip already?
- 59:39SPEAKER_01: I did.
- 59:40SPEAKER_01: It was amazing.
- 59:41SPEAKER_01: I was actually watching it while I was taking a shower one day.
- 59:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if you in the audience,
- 59:48SPEAKER_00: if you have not watched,
- 59:49SPEAKER_00: and I'll put this in the notes already, and I wrote about it earlier in the week.
- 59:54SPEAKER_00: If you have not seen this four-minute clip, you really, really have to do it.
- 59:59SPEAKER_00: And I don't normally say...
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_00: Oh, you have to watch a campaign clip or you have to watch a politician talking.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_00: That's not usually something I spend a lot of time doing because I find politicians boring.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_01: No, he's not lying.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_01: I'll be like, hey, did you see such and such?
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_01: Did you watch the debate last night?
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_01: He's like, nah.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_00: No, it's like, I'll read about it.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_01: Every single time.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_01: I'm going to read the bullet points.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_00: Now, it was that good of interaction and it should be a blueprint
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_00: for every Democrat going forward when these GOP plants pop up to spew their minds.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_00: They show up and they demand that we disavow this straw man
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_00: or we debunk this Fox News lie,
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_00: but they're never prepared to defend their own beliefs,
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_00: such as they are,
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_00: if they actually have any,
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: because outside of their safe MAGA bubble,
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_00: they sound like homicidal psychopaths eager to bathe in the blood of heretics
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_00: and infidels.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_00: The very religious extremism that they pretend to oppose,
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_00: that's all they believe in for themselves.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_00: Everyone else has to, like, you know, denounce it, but not them.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_00: El-Sayed took a Republican activist's own words and he reduced them to aggression.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_00: But he did it politely and without an ounce of hostility, and it was fucking magnificent.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_00: It should be noted that CBS chief legal correspondent Jan Crawford,
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_00: who's a Barry Weiss ass kisser, He rushed out to defend this poor schmuck.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_00: His name's Tommy.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_00: And she claimed that El-Sayed was totally owned and humiliated,
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_00: which is a really,
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_00: really interesting and not at all accurate read on the interaction.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_00: Crawford was dragged into oblivion by social media.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_00: She deleted the tweet because she's a moron and half the internet laughing
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_00: at her was too much to take.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_00: But it was, you just have to watch it.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_00: It was fantastic.
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_00: It was really good.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_00: Highball growling at us.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's such a butthole, this dog.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_01: Don't ever get a Chihuahua, guys.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_01: A Chihuahua mixed with Pomeranian?
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_01: It's like the devil, a fluffy devil.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_00: I was terrorized by a Chihuahua for like three years when I was like seven years old.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's so cute, but he is evil.
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_01: Joe Manchin,
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_01: the former Democratic piece of shit we kicked out of the party a few years ago,
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_01: is campaigning in Maine for Republican Susan Collins, because
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_00: of course he is.
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_00: What a fucking douchebag.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_00: God, when he left, nothing of value was lost.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_01: As far as we're concerned,
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_01: him campaigning for Collins is good news because Manchin is reviled by the left
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_01: and will only energize Democratic voters to turn out in great numbers just
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_01: to spite his treasonous rat-fucking-ass.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_01: We hate Manchin almost as much as we hate Fetterman.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's a liar.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_00: That's the thing that bugs me the most about him.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_00: He fucking promised that he would vote for the Build Back Better bill, and then he fucking lied.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_00: He gave his word and he went back on it to Democrats.
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_00: Which is just like, you piece of shit.
- 1:03:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I would say the thing is I grew so used to Manchin being a piece of shit
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_01: that my hate for him didn't run as deep as Fetterman.
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_01: Fetterman was like disappointing because I really wanted him to get elected.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_01: He was really great during COVID.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_01: And then he I'm not going to say that it's because of the stroke,
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_01: but I'm thinking it's because of the stroke.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_01: But anyway, as for Republicans, when has a Democrat ever motivated them to vote?
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_01: Do you really think that Manchin is going to mean and motivating Republican voters to vote?
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, really?
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_00: Like what Republicans can be like, oh, man, Joe Manchin showed up.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_00: I'm definitely going to vote now.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_00: I'm going to go out there and vote because Joe Manchin's here.
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_01: Oh, man, I really like that guy.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_01: Where is he from again?
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_01: What do you mean he's not in the Senate?
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_00: That's assuming they even know who he is.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_00: He's not even from their state.
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_01: It's like, Joe Manchin, isn't he from Kentucky or Tennessee?
- 1:04:07SPEAKER_01: Where the fuck is he from?
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_01: Why is he here?
- 1:04:10SPEAKER_01: I will say this about Republicans.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_01: One thing I love about a Republican...
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_01: Is that they have never heard of anybody before in their fucking lives.
- 1:04:17SPEAKER_01: And as soon as Fox News starts talking about that person,
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_01: they're like, yeah, yep, that there is a good guy.
- 1:04:23SPEAKER_01: Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_01: That right there is an upstanding citizen.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_01: We really like that one.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_01: That joke, mm-hmm.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_01: Anyway, fuck Manchin.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_01: He betrayed everything his party stood for and ended his career
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_01: as another rich white man protecting his tax cuts and his money.
- 1:04:42SPEAKER_01: Go suck a dick.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_01: I hope you fall into a coal mine.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_00: ProPublica reports that just a few... Now, this is what we were talking about earlier.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_00: A few months after retaking office,
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_00: the regime ordered a cybersecurity and infrastructure security agency, a.k.a.
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_00: CISA...
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_00: They wanted CISA to hack the machine and find all of the vulnerabilities and
- 1:05:00SPEAKER_00: then withhold that information from the manufacturer and only...
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_01: So, I just want to say,
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_01: this is super crazy because it's not unusual for the U.S.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_01: government to hire people to hack voting machines to expose their vulnerabilities,
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_01: but to not give the information to the manufacturer is ridiculous.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, you want to stress test it.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_00: That's kind of their job.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_00: Stress test it and then say, hey, we fucking cracked your machine.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_00: Here's the ways we did it.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_00: Fucking fix it.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_00: You want us to use this shit all over the country.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_00: You got to make sure we can't do this.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_00: If we can do it, Right.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_00: Here's the way they did it.
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_00: We just found out about it.
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:06:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's hilarious.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_00: However,
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_00: now that we know that this was something they were trying to do,
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_00: we should all be watching very closely for anomalous readings
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_00: from Democratic strongholds.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_00: Like, you know,
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_00: if Chicago suddenly flips red for some reason,
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_00: come on, guys, not for nothing, they're really sloppy and stupid.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_00: And that's exactly the type of thing they would do.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_00: It's like, oh,
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_00: yeah, Democrats are seriously into performing in this strong Democratic stronghold.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_00: It's like, that's funny.
- 1:07:19SPEAKER_00: Hasn't there been a really strong upsurge in voting in that area?
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_00: Why is it suddenly turning red?
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_00: That's odd.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_00: Or they're just going to go ahead and announce that they just discovered problems
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_00: with the voting machines.
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_00: And we all know the fascists are going to try and steal the midterms.
- 1:07:37SPEAKER_00: We all know that they're going to do it, that they're going to try this.
- 1:07:41SPEAKER_00: And it's up to us whether or not we allow it.
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_01: That's that's really crazy.
- 1:07:45SPEAKER_01: Like in an ordinary world that would be
- 1:07:49SPEAKER_00: going to jail for this.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_01: It would be like the number one story for months.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_01: There would be congressional investigations.
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_01: It would be crazy.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_00: What were you trying to do?
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_00: Why did you want that information?
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_00: Why aren't you going to jail for this?
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_00: But no.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_00: It's barely been a blip.
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_00: Weird.
- 1:08:08SPEAKER_00: Republicans are not held to a lower standard.
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_00: They're held to no standard at all.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_00: None.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_00: It is time to move on to headlines for short attention spans.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_01: Well, CBS News is in shambles a year into Barry Weiss's reign of terror.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_01: Over the last week,
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_01: we've learned her team repeatedly sought to influence reporting
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_01: about Israel's actions against Palestine.
- 1:08:33SPEAKER_01: And now...
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_01: We're learning that Weiss demanded journalists at the network try to find
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_01: a connection between Abdul Al-Sayed and the Muslim Brotherhood,
- 1:08:44SPEAKER_01: which is kind of what that guy that Ogre was talking about a little while ago,
- 1:08:49SPEAKER_01: Tommy, was trying to do.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_01: We know why.
- 1:08:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_01: Republicans are trying super,
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_01: super hard to tie him to Islamists simply because he is a practicing Muslim.
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_01: This is from Semaphore.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_01: Quote, in recent weeks, Wise has personally advocated for CBS News journalists.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_01: And was directly involved in a controversial story about his previous post comparing
- 1:09:31SPEAKER_01: the COVID-19 death toll to 9-11.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_01: She has discussed the topic on editorial calls
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_01: and tasked CBS News investigative unit with combing through El Syed's background for
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_01: a potential link to the organization.
- 1:09:57SPEAKER_01: Did you read what his comment was?
- 1:10:00SPEAKER_01: I did not see what his comment was.
- 1:10:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 1:10:02SPEAKER_00: It's super controversial.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_00: It was something to the effect of,
- 1:10:06SPEAKER_00: we have, at the time, it's like 3,000 people are dying every week.
- 1:10:10SPEAKER_00: We should probably be treating public health with the same type of vigor
- 1:10:16SPEAKER_00: that we treated, that we went after terrorism after 9-11.
- 1:10:21SPEAKER_01: Which is what a lot of us said.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was it.
- 1:10:23SPEAKER_00: That was because about 3,000 people died on 9-11.
- 1:10:27SPEAKER_00: We were having 3,000 people a week dying from COVID.
- 1:10:30SPEAKER_00: We should go after public health with the same vigor that we went after terrorism.
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_00: That was it.
- 1:10:36SPEAKER_00: That was his big controversial comparison between COVID-19 and 9-11.
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_00: And a whole lot of Republicans made similar comments comparing the death toll
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_00: of COVID-19 to 9-11.
- 1:10:49SPEAKER_00: Somehow it was only controversial when El Saeed said it.
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_01: That's weird.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_00: Weird.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_00: What was it?
- 1:10:57SPEAKER_00: What is it about El Saeed that makes him saying it more controversial than Republicans?
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_00: What could it be?
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_00: Maybe his black shirts that are really nicely fitted.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_00: No, I think it might be the fact that he's got facial hair.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_01: Might be that.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_00: Might be that.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_00: We may never solve this mystery.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_00: We just may never solve it.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:11:17SPEAKER_00: It's beyond us.
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_01: Have you seen that they're trying to say they're like, I love these people?
- 1:11:22SPEAKER_01: Oh, why is anybody listening to El Sayed talk about medicine?
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_01: He's just an MD.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_01: MD stands for medical doctor.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_01: Medical doctor guys.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_01: And I think they got confused because remember when they did that to Jill Biden?
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_01: They're like, oh, she's a PhD.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_01: She doesn't know what she's talking about.
- 1:11:46SPEAKER_01: She's not doctor.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_01: She's a PhD.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:11:49SPEAKER_01: And I think that they literally fucked it up.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_01: And now they're like, he's just an MD, guys.
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_01: And literally, this is a thing online.
- 1:11:56SPEAKER_01: He's an MD.
- 1:11:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's a medical doctor, guys.
- 1:12:00SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_01: He might not be a practicing medical doctor because he wanted to research instead,
- 1:12:05SPEAKER_01: but he's a medical doctor.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_01: But I digress.
- 1:12:08SPEAKER_01: Back to Weiss.
- 1:12:09SPEAKER_01: So are we really surprised at a Republican?
- 1:12:12SPEAKER_01: And yes, I know that she claims to be a quote, she claims to be quote, politically homeless.
- 1:12:19SPEAKER_01: She's definitely
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_00: fucking Republican.
- 1:12:21SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:12:21SPEAKER_01: She is.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_01: Are we surprised that a Republican is doing Republican things?
- 1:12:25SPEAKER_01: This is exactly why David Ellison put her in the position that she's in.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_01: Just wait until the 2029 election.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_01: That girl is going to be working to put her whole ass on the scale.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_01: Just fucking fuck her.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's actually terrible.
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_00: She is.
- 1:12:42SPEAKER_00: She's bad at her job and she's really fucking,
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_00: like, she's not even good at being subtle about it.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_01: And you know what's sad is that CBS used to be my favorite network news
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_01: because I could always count on them.
- 1:12:56SPEAKER_01: Like 60 Minutes was an institution.
- 1:12:59SPEAKER_00: They're just it's just embarrassing.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_00: It's so fucking embarrassing.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_00: Mahmoud Khalil has appealed his case to the United States Supreme Court after
- 1:13:09SPEAKER_00: an appeals court paved the way for his possible deportation.
- 1:13:12SPEAKER_00: If you recall that.
- 1:13:14SPEAKER_00: Khalil is the green card holder and Columbia University graduate who was arrested
- 1:13:19SPEAKER_00: by ICE in New York for having the terrible,
- 1:13:22SPEAKER_00: terrible audacity to protest Israel's action in Palestine and ask the U.S.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_00: government to stop his involvement in the genocide.
- 1:13:29SPEAKER_00: The fucking nerve of him.
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_00: I would like to remind people
- 1:13:32SPEAKER_00: that practicing your First Amendment rights is still not a crime in this country,
- 1:13:37SPEAKER_00: even if you're not a natural-born citizen.
- 1:13:40SPEAKER_00: The Trump regime has claimed that he is Well,
- 1:13:42SPEAKER_00: actually, I don't think any of those are listening to us.
- 1:14:00SPEAKER_00: Well, just in case.
- 1:14:01SPEAKER_00: Jews who support the regime cracking down on anti-Semitism,
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_00: you're just slitting your own throats.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_00: But whatever.
- 1:14:09SPEAKER_00: Anyway, he was released in June 2025,
- 1:14:11SPEAKER_00: but the appeals court claimed federal law should have stopped him
- 1:14:14SPEAKER_00: from being released because it should have
- 1:14:18SPEAKER_00: He's now asking the high court to uphold non-citizens' right to sue
- 1:14:22SPEAKER_00: if they are detained by immigration officials
- 1:14:23SPEAKER_00: for exercising their First Amendment rights.
- 1:14:26SPEAKER_00: Because he still has them, citizen or not.
- 1:14:30SPEAKER_00: During a news conference on Monday,
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_00: Khalil said, if the Trump, sorry, he said administration, I said regime.
- 1:14:38SPEAKER_00: If the Trump administration...
- 1:14:40SPEAKER_00: It feels so weird saying that out loud.
- 1:14:41SPEAKER_00: If the Trump administration can punish someone for their pro-Palestine speech,
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_00: this or any future administration can punish anyone for any speech,
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_00: which is kind of the point.
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_00: If the Third Circuit opinion is upheld,
- 1:14:54SPEAKER_00: Khalil could be deported to Syria or Algeria,
- 1:14:57SPEAKER_00: which is a whole different thing in and of itself because he has no connection
- 1:15:01SPEAKER_00: to those countries.
- 1:15:02SPEAKER_00: But there we are.
- 1:15:04SPEAKER_01: So...
- 1:15:06SPEAKER_01: My prediction is that the Supreme Court does not take this case.
- 1:15:10SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't think they're going to touch this case with a 10-foot pole.
- 1:15:13SPEAKER_00: Especially since Trump is very,
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_00: very unpopular and they don't really want to keep burning their...
- 1:15:18SPEAKER_00: This doesn't help their imperial presidency thing.
- 1:15:22SPEAKER_00: So why burn any more of their credibility on Trump?
- 1:15:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but the problem is,
- 1:15:26SPEAKER_01: is that if they don't take the case,
- 1:15:29SPEAKER_01: then I think that this appeals court ruling will be upheld and
- 1:15:34SPEAKER_01: then he can be deported.
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_01: So it's like really a conundrum because they're not going to take it
- 1:15:39SPEAKER_01: because they're not going to want it.
- 1:15:40SPEAKER_01: Maybe they'll just shadow dock it and say no, and then just not get into it past that.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_01: It's like, no, and just move on really quick and hope no one pays attention.
- 1:15:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think that they'll just ignore it completely and not take it.
- 1:16:02SPEAKER_01: They're just not even going to hear it.
- 1:16:04SPEAKER_01: But we'll see.
- 1:16:05SPEAKER_01: Speaking of anti-Semites,
- 1:16:08SPEAKER_01: on Monday,
- 1:16:09SPEAKER_01: Trump used an anti-Semitic slur during a campaign rally for Senator Roger Marshall
- 1:16:14SPEAKER_01: in Kansas.
- 1:16:15SPEAKER_01: He was talking about Marshall suing hundreds of his patients
- 1:16:18SPEAKER_01: for unpaid medical debt,
- 1:16:20SPEAKER_01: saying the reporting made the senator look like,
- 1:16:23SPEAKER_01: quote, some kind of Shylock type guy.
- 1:16:28SPEAKER_01: So this is noteworthy because it isn't the first time that he's used this term,
- 1:16:32SPEAKER_01: which is widely recognized as a slur.
- 1:16:36SPEAKER_01: He also said it last year,
- 1:16:37SPEAKER_01: and when journalists asked him about the criticism over his use of the word,
- 1:16:41SPEAKER_01: he said that he had no idea that it was offensive.
- 1:16:45SPEAKER_01: Hold on.
- 1:16:45SPEAKER_01: That he thought that it was just a term referring to somebody who lends money at
- 1:16:50SPEAKER_01: a high rate, like a loan shark.
- 1:16:53SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 1:16:53SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 1:17:09SPEAKER_01: The reason that he said this is because,
- 1:17:11SPEAKER_01: as we know,
- 1:17:13SPEAKER_01: there is a stereotype for Jewish people that they're tight with their money.
- 1:17:17SPEAKER_01: That they're bankers and they don't want to lend out money and all of that fucking nonsense.
- 1:17:21SPEAKER_01: And he has repeatedly talked about Jews and the banking industry.
- 1:17:26SPEAKER_01: So, you know, he's just a fucking piece of shit, this guy.
- 1:17:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know...
- 1:17:35SPEAKER_00: As a Jew growing up in New York, I've been called many things.
- 1:17:40SPEAKER_00: Shylock is not one of them.
- 1:17:43SPEAKER_00: That's a very old, old-timey, old-person insult.
- 1:17:48SPEAKER_01: Well, it's from Shakespeare.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_00: It's like super old.
- 1:17:51SPEAKER_00: I know, but I mean, old people use that.
- 1:17:54SPEAKER_00: Old people and really, really hardcore, deep, deep, deep racists.
- 1:18:00SPEAKER_00: Like that's, you don't find that.
- 1:18:02SPEAKER_00: Trump is both.
- 1:18:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you don't find that in casual conversation.
- 1:18:06SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, it's like, you don't just, you know, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:18:09SPEAKER_00: You Shylock.
- 1:18:10SPEAKER_00: Like most people are like, what the fuck are you talking about?
- 1:18:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I actually didn't know what that term was until he
- 1:18:17SPEAKER_00: used it.
- 1:18:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, when I first saw it,
- 1:18:21SPEAKER_00: the first time I saw him use it,
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_00: I was not,
- 1:18:23SPEAKER_00: I didn't see him use it,
- 1:18:23SPEAKER_00: I read about him, but the first time I read that, I was like, what the fuck?
- 1:18:27SPEAKER_00: Like, where did he, how did he even hear that?
- 1:18:31SPEAKER_00: It's like, I know that motherfucker, I didn't read no Shakespeare.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_00: So it's like, why does he even know that?
- 1:18:36SPEAKER_00: But it was like, it's such an, but then he's very old.
- 1:18:39SPEAKER_00: He's 80 years old.
- 1:18:40SPEAKER_01: Hella old, very old.
- 1:18:43SPEAKER_00: It was just such an odd throwback thing.
- 1:18:49SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like Joe Biden with malarkey.
- 1:18:52SPEAKER_00: I love malarkey.
- 1:18:52SPEAKER_00: I use that term.
- 1:18:54SPEAKER_00: But it's cute when he does it.
- 1:18:56SPEAKER_00: It's not cute when Trump does it.
- 1:18:59SPEAKER_00: Now, as we mentioned,
- 1:19:03SPEAKER_00: Donald Trump is playing footsie with Russia right now at the expense of
- 1:19:06SPEAKER_00: the Ukrainian people.
- 1:19:08SPEAKER_00: And that culminated in the slowdown of the Starlink internet service
- 1:19:11SPEAKER_00: that Ukraine relies on very much.
- 1:19:14SPEAKER_00: This is from Politico.
- 1:19:16SPEAKER_00: This is comparable to a nuclear strike against us.
- 1:19:33SPEAKER_00: All operations are on hold.
- 1:19:35SPEAKER_00: This will cost many of us our lives, an experienced Ukrainian officer said.
- 1:19:40SPEAKER_00: The officer commands a medium-range drone strike unit in southeastern Ukraine.
- 1:19:45SPEAKER_00: The unit relies heavily on Starlink for the operation and navigation.
- 1:19:48SPEAKER_00: The officer said.
- 1:20:03SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 1:20:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:20:29SPEAKER_00: Two U.S.
- 1:20:29SPEAKER_00: officials confirmed the Defense Department received a message that the service
- 1:20:32SPEAKER_00: for Ukraine needed to be slowed down, but did not reveal who made the order.
- 1:20:37SPEAKER_00: A senior U.S. official denied it.
- 1:20:39SPEAKER_00: It was the president saying no such request is made by Trump.
- 1:20:41SPEAKER_00: That typically means he absolutely did fuck.
- 1:20:45SPEAKER_00: Musk and Trump are blaming each other, and Trump is just saying, well, maybe no one did it.
- 1:20:49SPEAKER_00: Okay, both are obviously lying.
- 1:20:52SPEAKER_00: Both men are openly hostile to American democracy,
- 1:20:55SPEAKER_00: and helping Trump further their goals of establishing and helping But Musk does not.
- 1:20:59SPEAKER_00: And we are going to fight.
- 1:21:14SPEAKER_00: And when we do,
- 1:21:15SPEAKER_00: and we're going to,
- 1:21:16SPEAKER_00: his companies and his money should be seized and Musk should be arrested
- 1:21:19SPEAKER_00: for fucking treason.
- 1:21:29SPEAKER_00: Let his fellow billionaires scream and cry and throw a temper tantrum.
- 1:21:34SPEAKER_00: They chose to get into bed with Russia and Nazis and attack the country
- 1:21:39SPEAKER_00: that made them so fucking rich.
- 1:21:41SPEAKER_00: Now they can pay the fucking price for that.
- 1:21:43SPEAKER_00: Fuck off.
- 1:21:44SPEAKER_01: So Pete Hegseth managed to piss off our European allies and the U.S.
- 1:21:49SPEAKER_01: military over the weekend during a speech at the University of Tennessee.
- 1:21:54SPEAKER_01: He claimed that, quote, only one or two NATO allies were helping the U.S. and Afghanistan 20%.
- 1:22:00SPEAKER_01: I was a captain in Afghanistan,
- 1:22:04SPEAKER_01: and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags.
- 1:22:08SPEAKER_01: It was a beautiful thing, except there were like maybe five that contributed.
- 1:22:12SPEAKER_01: It was actually closer to one or two by the end that were actually involved
- 1:22:18SPEAKER_01: in kinetic operations.
- 1:22:20SPEAKER_01: He then went on to make fun of the International Security Assistance Force,
- 1:22:28SPEAKER_01: ISAF,
- 1:22:32SPEAKER_01: the patch that is worn by the shoulders from other nations,
- 1:22:35SPEAKER_01: saying that it stood for, quote, I saw Americans fighting.
- 1:22:39SPEAKER_00: Fucking douchebag.
- 1:22:40SPEAKER_01: So I was talking to my brother about this who was stationed in Afghanistan.
- 1:22:43SPEAKER_01: He spent three years in Afghanistan and he was an infantryman.
- 1:22:48SPEAKER_01: He was an 82nd Airborne.
- 1:22:50SPEAKER_01: And he said, like,
- 1:22:51SPEAKER_01: the average Joe,
- 1:22:52SPEAKER_01: like the enlisted Joe, like they would they would make fun of eyes off patches.
- 1:22:58SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:22:58SPEAKER_01: Because it's like, you know, they're just like guys talking shit.
- 1:23:02SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:23:03SPEAKER_01: But that's not Pete Hegseth.
- 1:23:04SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:23:05SPEAKER_01: Pete Hegseth was there training people, training the ISOF people, the ISOF soldiers.
- 1:23:14SPEAKER_00: He wasn't actually there for combat.
- 1:23:16SPEAKER_01: He wasn't there for combat.
- 1:23:17SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, if you really think about it, he also saw Americans fighting.
- 1:23:22SPEAKER_00: He wasn't doing anything.
- 1:23:24SPEAKER_01: So 51 nations actually deployed to Afghanistan after 9-11 because,
- 1:23:29SPEAKER_01: you know, as we all know, it's the only time that Article 5 has been invoked.
- 1:23:33SPEAKER_01: More than 1,000 troops from those nations were killed while supporting U.S. troops.
- 1:23:40SPEAKER_01: You know how I am with names.
- 1:23:42SPEAKER_00: Radoslaw Skrkowski.
- 1:23:45SPEAKER_00: Poland.
- 1:23:45SPEAKER_00: Swarovski.
- 1:23:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we'll go with that.
- 1:23:49SPEAKER_01: Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs challenged Hegseth
- 1:23:54SPEAKER_01: to mock the Allied forces to the,
- 1:23:56SPEAKER_01: quote, families of the 44 Polish soldiers who died in the conflict.
- 1:24:01SPEAKER_00: You should have challenged him to a run around the fucking track.
- 1:24:03SPEAKER_00: We saw how Pete Hegseth did with that.
- 1:24:07SPEAKER_01: Let's do pull-ups together.
- 1:24:10SPEAKER_01: More than 33,000 Polish troops served in Afghanistan throughout the 20 years
- 1:24:15SPEAKER_01: that we were at war.
- 1:24:16SPEAKER_01: A spokesperson for the British Prime Minister,
- 1:24:19SPEAKER_01: Andy Burnham, called Hegseth's remarks, quote, wrong.
- 1:24:25SPEAKER_01: Retired U.S.
- 1:24:26SPEAKER_01: General Ben Hodges,
- 1:24:28SPEAKER_01: who was the former commander of U.S.
- 1:24:30SPEAKER_01: Army Europe,
- 1:24:31SPEAKER_01: said the remarks by Secretary Loti were, quote,
- 1:24:34SPEAKER_01: shameful,
- 1:24:35SPEAKER_01: and questioned why he would,
- 1:24:36SPEAKER_01: quote, think it was appropriate to disparage our allies in front of future allies.
- 1:24:42SPEAKER_01: Because he was speaking to a group of ROTC cadets at the University of Tennessee
- 1:24:49SPEAKER_01: when he made the remarks.
- 1:24:55SPEAKER_01: He did not do shit.
- 1:24:57SPEAKER_01: He was an instructor on a base teaching counterinsurgency to our allies.
- 1:25:03SPEAKER_01: So actually it makes it even more egregious that he made these comments.
- 1:25:07SPEAKER_01: I swear to God, like I actually fucking hate this guy.
- 1:25:10SPEAKER_01: I honestly think that I'd be less irritated if it was the crazy-ass QAnon loon,
- 1:25:18SPEAKER_01: Michael Flynn,
- 1:25:19SPEAKER_01: that was the defense secretary,
- 1:25:20SPEAKER_01: because at least he was a general who was a compact commander and had experience.
- 1:25:26SPEAKER_00: He hasn't done a fucking thing.
- 1:25:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I will celebrate when he is gone.
- 1:25:31SPEAKER_01: But anywho, let's wrap up headlines with some good news.
- 1:25:35SPEAKER_01: The Bills won.
- 1:25:36SPEAKER_01: Yay!
- 1:25:37SPEAKER_01: Yay!
- 1:25:38SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:25:38SPEAKER_00: So in actual good news that matters, Donald Trump went to Kansas.
- 1:25:44SPEAKER_00: Deep, deep, ruby red Kansas.
- 1:25:47SPEAKER_00: And this was part of his multi-state tour to get Republicans to vote.
- 1:25:50SPEAKER_00: He's not going to swing states.
- 1:25:52SPEAKER_00: He's not going to blue states.
- 1:25:54SPEAKER_00: He's going to blood red strongholds because that's how much trouble the GOP is in.
- 1:26:00SPEAKER_00: Anyway, in the very safe space of Kansas,
- 1:26:03SPEAKER_00: someone screamed out, I fucking hate you because- Nowhere is safe for Trump anymore.
- 1:26:10SPEAKER_00: Not even Kansas.
- 1:26:12SPEAKER_00: Now, Trump brushed it off by pretending the woman was a paid protester
- 1:26:16SPEAKER_00: because that's what they always say.
- 1:26:18SPEAKER_00: But we also know Republicans were caught offering $200 for students to boo
- 1:26:22SPEAKER_00: and heckle El Saeed at town halls.
- 1:26:25SPEAKER_00: So, as always, every Republican accusation is a confession.
- 1:26:30SPEAKER_01: I mean,
- 1:26:31SPEAKER_01: I would take $200 to say a boo and then I would go straight to the voting booth
- 1:26:35SPEAKER_01: and vote for him.
- 1:26:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but seriously, Kansas.
- 1:26:40SPEAKER_00: Republicans are a trouble in Kansas.
- 1:26:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's crazy.
- 1:26:45SPEAKER_01: Hopefully they get picked up by a tornado.
- 1:26:47SPEAKER_01: On to self-care of the week.
- 1:26:49SPEAKER_01: As usual, I'll go first because he always says that I'm depressing, which I object to.
- 1:26:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know what you're talking about.
- 1:26:55SPEAKER_01: When he literally cries sometimes during this segment.
- 1:26:58SPEAKER_01: Have you ever heard me cry, guys?
- 1:26:59SPEAKER_00: That's because you're on drugs.
- 1:27:01SPEAKER_01: That's true.
- 1:27:02SPEAKER_01: Can't muster up the ability to cry.
- 1:27:04SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 1:27:05SPEAKER_01: Thank God I don't have to go to a funeral.
- 1:27:06SPEAKER_01: I'd have to splash water on my face.
- 1:27:09SPEAKER_01: Just do eye drops.
- 1:27:12SPEAKER_01: One second.
- 1:27:12SPEAKER_01: Hold on.
- 1:27:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm so sad.
- 1:27:15SPEAKER_00: Tear, tear.
- 1:27:16SPEAKER_01: So on Saturday, I didn't do anything except lay on the sofa all day because I didn't feel good.
- 1:27:22SPEAKER_01: Thanks endometriosis.
- 1:27:23SPEAKER_01: But on Sunday, I forced myself to get dressed and I went to watch my godson play soccer.
- 1:27:30SPEAKER_01: He plays in the Sounds like indoctrination.
- 1:27:52SPEAKER_01: What's funny about this is that Jackson is not Latino at all,
- 1:27:58SPEAKER_01: but looks more Latino than any of the other kids.
- 1:28:02SPEAKER_01: So we always joke when our children get together that it's like the United Nations
- 1:28:06SPEAKER_01: because they're all different shades.
- 1:28:09SPEAKER_01: Like my oldest goddaughter is...
- 1:28:12SPEAKER_01: She's black, white, and Filipino, but she presents as an African-American.
- 1:28:19SPEAKER_01: Jackson, he looks Hispanic.
- 1:28:22SPEAKER_01: And then the younger one looks Asian.
- 1:28:24SPEAKER_01: And then my kids, one of them looks white, one of them looks Hispanic.
- 1:28:29SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 1:28:29SPEAKER_01: So when we all get, when we're out together, it literally looks like a United Nations meeting.
- 1:28:34SPEAKER_00: So pretty much everything that Republicans hate.
- 1:28:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:28:37SPEAKER_01: Everything.
- 1:28:37SPEAKER_01: I've actually been called white trash when I've had the kids out before by some hick
- 1:28:42SPEAKER_01: because they were all different shades of the rainbow.
- 1:28:44SPEAKER_01: I'm assuming that's why he called me white trash.
- 1:28:47SPEAKER_01: He didn't specifically say it, but it was implied.
- 1:28:52SPEAKER_01: But anyway, so they did really well.
- 1:28:54SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately, their team lost 1-0, but they did hold out.
- 1:28:58SPEAKER_01: It was just a really good team.
- 1:29:00SPEAKER_01: They played Orlando City, which is a very, very good team.
- 1:29:05SPEAKER_01: And then after the soccer game, I helped my husband change the tie rod ends in our SUV.
- 1:29:11SPEAKER_01: I was fully involved in this,
- 1:29:12SPEAKER_01: sitting on a bucket and getting my hands all greasy while I tried to pull
- 1:29:15SPEAKER_01: the part off.
- 1:29:20SPEAKER_01: I pulled a cinder block over there because I was trying to stabilize the tie rod
- 1:29:26SPEAKER_01: because it kept twisting when I was trying to take the end off.
- 1:29:29SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, how can we do this?
- 1:29:30SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, we can get this.
- 1:29:36SPEAKER_01: We got to hold it in place and whatever.
- 1:29:38SPEAKER_01: We eventually managed to get it off and change both sides, which saved us like $250.
- 1:29:44SPEAKER_01: I was very excited about this and I told Ogre about it over the weekend.
- 1:29:48SPEAKER_01: It was like $95 in parts and YouTube was free.
- 1:29:53SPEAKER_01: And my car is driving so much better.
- 1:29:56SPEAKER_01: Let me just tell you, when your tie rod ends go bad, your car will start shaking.
- 1:30:00SPEAKER_01: And it was literally,
- 1:30:02SPEAKER_01: there's this joke,
- 1:30:04SPEAKER_01: when you need a ride and you get into somebody's car and you're bouncing all around,
- 1:30:07SPEAKER_01: but you don't want to say anything.
- 1:30:09SPEAKER_01: That's how people were when they got into my car because it was shaking.
- 1:30:13SPEAKER_01: That girl was shaking.
- 1:30:14SPEAKER_01: But she's all good now.
- 1:30:16SPEAKER_01: Love her.
- 1:30:17SPEAKER_01: She's a 2020 and has 221,000 miles on her because that's how much we drive.
- 1:30:21SPEAKER_01: Damn.
- 1:30:23SPEAKER_01: Don't bite me.
- 1:30:25SPEAKER_01: Finally, I watched the Bills beat the Raiders on Sunday.
- 1:30:29SPEAKER_01: As usual, they made us fans sweat, but ultimately we won.
- 1:30:34SPEAKER_01: Being a Bills fan, like I say every week, is just stressful.
- 1:30:40SPEAKER_01: I don't know why they keep doing it to us.
- 1:30:44SPEAKER_00: Someone should study to see
- 1:30:46SPEAKER_00: on Sundays how many people have heart attacks watching football and then tally it up
- 1:30:50SPEAKER_00: to see which ones for which teams.
- 1:30:54SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, that would be funny.
- 1:30:56SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it'd be funny, but it would be interesting.
- 1:30:59SPEAKER_01: It would be interesting because it is stressful.
- 1:31:02SPEAKER_01: The week before when I had messaged you and I said, oh,
- 1:31:05SPEAKER_01: this fucking team,
- 1:31:06SPEAKER_01: I sent my brother a similar message that said,
- 1:31:08SPEAKER_01: I hate you for making me love football.
- 1:31:13SPEAKER_01: And then I sent him another message that says, okay, maybe I don't hate you.
- 1:31:16SPEAKER_01: But anyway, we beat the Raiders.
- 1:31:19SPEAKER_01: We were very excited.
- 1:31:20SPEAKER_01: We had a lot of fans in Las Vegas.
- 1:31:23SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I don't know where they all came from.
- 1:31:26SPEAKER_01: Apparently there's a lot of fans on the West.
- 1:31:29SPEAKER_01: Our record is now 5-1 and we are number one in the AFC East.
- 1:31:33SPEAKER_01: So go Bills.
- 1:31:35SPEAKER_01: Go Raiders.
- 1:31:37SPEAKER_01: I can't believe you went to Niagara Falls and you didn't come back a Bills fan.
- 1:31:40SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:31:41SPEAKER_00: It's like I didn't bathe in the Niagara Falls and come out baptized as a Bills fan.
- 1:31:45SPEAKER_01: What was I thinking?
- 1:31:47SPEAKER_01: You didn't even buy a Bills shirt.
- 1:31:50SPEAKER_01: Nothing.
- 1:31:51SPEAKER_00: I mean, we did buy you some Buffalo Bills swag.
- 1:31:54SPEAKER_00: We'll bring it down when we go to Florida.
- 1:31:56SPEAKER_01: Oh, I love that for me.
- 1:31:58SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:31:59SPEAKER_00: So Saturday, Jordan played soccer again.
- 1:32:01SPEAKER_00: He played Special Olympics soccer.
- 1:32:03SPEAKER_00: It was a big soccer weekend for the Ockpot, apparently.
- 1:32:06SPEAKER_00: And Jordan was such a ball hog.
- 1:32:09SPEAKER_00: We had to keep screaming at him from the sidelines to share the ball with his teammates.
- 1:32:13SPEAKER_00: So he did a couple of times.
- 1:32:16SPEAKER_00: Also, he ran the ball down the field and kicked it into the wrong goal,
- 1:32:18SPEAKER_00: which is a very, very Jordan thing to do.
- 1:32:21SPEAKER_00: He does that at least once in almost every basketball game.
- 1:32:24SPEAKER_00: So, of course, he did it in the soccer game, too.
- 1:32:26SPEAKER_00: So, yay, the joys of autism.
- 1:32:28SPEAKER_01: Well, to be fair to Jordan,
- 1:32:31SPEAKER_01: sometimes soccer fans who don't have autism or soccer players
- 1:32:35SPEAKER_01: who don't have autism do that.
- 1:32:36SPEAKER_01: Sometimes they have very big games.
- 1:32:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:32:39SPEAKER_00: Also, two kids on the other team laid down in front of the goal to block the goal,
- 1:32:44SPEAKER_00: which we knew,
- 1:32:45SPEAKER_00: like me and Anastasia sitting there,
- 1:32:47SPEAKER_00: it's like,
- 1:32:47SPEAKER_00: this is a really bad idea because Jordan kicked the ball anyway
- 1:32:52SPEAKER_00: and he kicks it really hard and he doesn't kick it up.
- 1:32:56SPEAKER_00: He just kicks it straight.
- 1:32:58SPEAKER_00: So it didn't hit them in the face, thank God.
- 1:33:00SPEAKER_00: But, you know, soccer,
- 1:33:02SPEAKER_00: getting a soccer ball full force in the chest from two feet away does not tickle.
- 1:33:07SPEAKER_00: So, Anastasia was very unsympathetic about the whole thing.
- 1:33:10SPEAKER_00: Well, she's right.
- 1:33:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:33:12SPEAKER_00: It was like, well, that's what you get.
- 1:33:14SPEAKER_00: That evening,
- 1:33:15SPEAKER_00: Claudia came over and we played Bingo because that's a game that's easy enough
- 1:33:18SPEAKER_00: for Jordan to play and something he enjoys most of the time.
- 1:33:21SPEAKER_00: He lasted four rounds before getting bored of us, though.
- 1:33:24SPEAKER_00: But still, it was a family game night.
- 1:33:26SPEAKER_00: So, woo!
- 1:33:27SPEAKER_00: We were very excited about that because usually we can't get him to do something with us.
- 1:33:31SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 1:33:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, usually he's just like, bah!
- 1:33:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:33:34SPEAKER_00: But meanwhile, Anastasia's MCU journey continues.
- 1:33:39SPEAKER_00: We're just chewing our way through the MCU movies.
- 1:33:42SPEAKER_00: We finished Guardians of the Galaxy.
- 1:33:44SPEAKER_00: We're about to watch Avengers Age of Ultron.
- 1:33:47SPEAKER_00: It's been a minute since I watched all these movies in order.
- 1:33:50SPEAKER_00: I forgot how tightly knit the stories are,
- 1:33:53SPEAKER_00: which considering that they came out over the course of 10 years leading up
- 1:33:58SPEAKER_00: to Endgame, that's a monumental feat that they were able to do this.
- 1:34:04SPEAKER_00: It's been like, I'll have to do that.
- 1:34:29SPEAKER_00: Well, when Nathan eventually gets into watching movies,
- 1:34:33SPEAKER_00: not yet,
- 1:34:33SPEAKER_00: but someday,
- 1:34:35SPEAKER_00: and he decides he wants to watch Marvel, you can go through all of those.
- 1:34:38SPEAKER_00: It's fucking awesome to do that.
- 1:34:40SPEAKER_01: Aiden did that two summers ago.
- 1:34:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you said.
- 1:34:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he loves them.
- 1:34:45SPEAKER_01: He's my superhero boy.
- 1:34:47SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:34:49SPEAKER_00: That is it for today's show.

- 1:35:36SPEAKER_00: There are 12 days,
- 1:35:38SPEAKER_00: which is definitely the correct number this time,
- 1:35:40SPEAKER_00: I swear, until the most important midterm elections in American history.
- 1:35:46SPEAKER_00: And that time is going to disappear in the blink of an eye.
- 1:35:49SPEAKER_00: The regime is currently suing California in a desperate attempt to convince people
- 1:35:54SPEAKER_00: that there's widespread voter fraud.
- 1:35:57SPEAKER_00: But it's not going to work because the regime is sloppy, stupid, and weak.
- 1:36:01SPEAKER_00: And in just a few days, we're going to show them just how fucking weak they are.
- 1:36:06SPEAKER_00: Remember, you are never alone.
- 1:36:09SPEAKER_00: Stay strong.
- 1:36:09SPEAKER_00: We beat the fascists once and we will fucking do it again.
- 1:36:12SPEAKER_00: Adios.
- 1:36:13SPEAKER_00: Adios.
- 1:36:14SPEAKER_00: All right, everybody.
- 1:36:15SPEAKER_00: Thank you for joining us.
- 1:36:17SPEAKER_00: We will see you guys next week.
- 1:36:19SPEAKER_01: Bye.
