For the past week, Clodagh De Róiste has been protesting peacefully outside the offices of Meath County Council in Ireland. Clodagh is disabled and is effectively homeless. When she cannot find a sofa to sleep on, she has to sleep in a tent. Before her health deteriorated, Clodagh ran marathons and was very active in her community. Amazingly, she has been waiting for an affordable home for twenty-five years. Why do local authority's prioritise the needs of migrants above the urgent needs of women like Clodagh?
